I think I’ll say this once, since I need to say it before I can move on to more excited posting about promos and things:
Obviously Young Royals means a lot to me. It’s become another way for me to connect with my hyphenated-American heritage and to start teaching myself Swedish again. It helped me survive a pretty brutal year of bullying at work. It made me confident enough to start the process of getting formally evaluated for autism and ADHD. I’ve been writing a 200k+ historical AU fanfic for YR—the kind of fic I always read and adored back in fandoms when I was younger, the kind of fic I wanted to write myself. I’m proud of the way that Heart and Homeland has made me a better writer, and I’m glad for the way it’s deepened my friendship with @heliza24. It is Young Royals in part that inspired by thesis on restorative justice in YA literature. When I was in the hospital last fall because I almost had a literal stroke from stress, I was comforted and kept calm by the fact that I was wearing a YR t-shirt and had a plush doll of a YR character sitting in my lap. And all of that is the short list.
As we come close to the release date, I hope that every single member of the fandom gets something they enjoy in the new season. I don’t think every person is going to get everything they want, but I genuinely hope there’s a moment, a scene, a line that brings them joy. We’ve all stuck with this series for a while, and I want us all to have something we can take with us. A little bit of sparkle for the road, if you will.
There’s of course the possibility that some of us get a lot of what we want, and others of us are let down. I know this was the case for season 2, and it feels naive to imagine that everyone in the fandom will be equally satisfied by season 3. I’ve got my fingers crossed that I’ll enjoy the hell out of it, but I’m also trying to prepare my heart in case it’s not what I wanted. I’m trying to gently talk to myself right now and say that even if the third season leaves me upset and unsatisfied—even if the writing takes a nosedive or it’s good writing but it’s just not what I wanted—that I still learned a lot about crafting stories and being myself and surviving hardship and thinking about systems and whatever else, from this show. That my experience with the first two seasons still matters, that my work on my fic is something to be proud of. If season 3 is a disappointment, Heart and Homeland will be my new canon. I’m sure there are other people out there talking themselves up in this way too. I know we’re all pushing through the pre-season jitters.
The other thing I’m trying to reconcile right now is how I feel about the promotional material that’s come out, and the conversations around that. Like on my own, I actually feel pretty great? It’s fun to see the new stuff come in? But then I think about the ratio of Wilmon to other things and some of the responses I’m seeing to that. And I see people say like “oh the show is back to focusing on what’s actually good about it” and “it’s great that they’re doing this because the audience doesn’t really care about characters who aren’t Wilmon.” And… hello? Aren’t I the audience? Tumblr isn’t too bad (most of the time) but then there’s like, Instagram, where the Netflix Nordic posted whole set of photos of different pairs and friendships from a whole bunch of shows, and there was one (1) picture of Sara and Rousseau and I saw enough comments where people were like “ew! Vomit! Give us Wilmon instead!” that like… y’all. Frida Argento is a human being and a damn good actress, and Lisa is a good writer of female characters, and like. We can celebrate that, once in a while. We can create space for her too. It’s not Frida OR Omar and Edvin. It’s Frida AND Omar AND Edvin AND Nikita AND Malte AND Nathalie AND Mimmi AND Fabian AND Samuel AND… look I could keep on listing but I’m going to get distracted if I do.
Like, man. I love Wilmon. Don’t get me wrong. I love the complexity their relationship can run with. There are lines heliza has written for them in fic that make me swoon and I am giddy about the part where I get to read them first. I love the glowsticks. I love Wilmon’s sense of humor and the part where they cheated at Vincent’s rowing race thing and their utmost commitment to being dumbass teenage boys against the world. The first week I saw the show and came into work (where we have an athletic field) I went and took a selfie on the field after covering my hands in those gross fake dots. Look. I am all in.
And also… I came to the show for Wilmon but I stayed for so much more. I would have watched Young Royals once or twice and said “that was pleasant” without ever getting back into fanfic after a decade away, if the show was only Wilmon. I do like Wilmon, but it wasn’t Wilmon who inspired my thesis on restorative justice or made me a better writer overall. I survived that year of bullying at work because I could come home and write my ensemble fanfic, especially the parts where I focused on the non-Wilmon pairing I was in charge of writing. I finally felt confident enough to be evaluated for AuDHD because of a connection I felt to a character who wasn’t Simon or Wilhelm. It was a plush doll of a non-Wilmon character who sat in my lap and kept me calm while I was hooked up to those scary machines in the hospital this past October.
I guess my one humble request is that people be thoughtful about how they use phrases like “everyone thinks” or “no one wants.” Not every member of the fandom has the same opinion, and not every member wants the same things out of season 3, and there are some of us who are happy about the new Wilmon content but who are still feeling a little hungry for more of our most beloved characters, and hope they’ll get meaningful storylines (and not get ignored) in season 3. I do know we probably won’t all get what we want, and that some of us will probably get more of what we want than others. I hope that whatever happens, we’ll all get something we want, and we can all be gracious about it, and continue to find meaning in the canon.
For the people here on tumblr who are already including me in their everyone… thank you, thank you, thank you. I hope you know who you are and I hope you know how much I appreciate you. And I do hope this Little Fandom That Could can keep going into all sorts of new creative places.

A taste of SirDavis whisky by Beyoncé 🥃
Three years ago Beyoncé Knowles-Carter, as an enthusiast of Japanese whisky, sought out Moët Hennessy to help craft a one-of-a-kind flavour profile that reflected her tastes in the spirit - and her Texan heritage.
It also happened that the spirits makers at Moët Hennessy had been exploring ways to widen the company’s presence in the competitive American whisky market, making the timing perfect for a formal partnership between the two.
Beyoncé partnered with LVMH subsidiary Moët Hennessy for her American whiskey, and Dr Bill Lumsden, LVMH’s extraordinary spirits maker and the man behind such spirited delights from Glenmorangie and Ardbeg single malt whiskies, was tasked with the job of figuring out how to develop a softer, sweeter style of American whisky, which draws its influence from the Japanese whiskies Beyoncé was familiar with.
Tumblr media
Lumsden hit upon a mixture of grains for the whisky’s foundations: 51% rye grain, which historically was the style used heavily in the pre-prohibition era of American whiskey, often bringing peppery/spicy flavours - and 49% malted barley, the backbone behind the characterful soft-yet-complex flavoured single malts crafted in Scotland and Japan.
The whisky was then given a double maturation in two kinds of cask: firstly in American white oak, bringing swathes of vanilla, coconut and citrus zest, and then ex-Pedro Ximenez sherry casks (highly unusual in the wider canon of American whisky-making,) for a final period of around six to nine months, to give deeper, richer, fruity notes.
The ‘Sir’ in question is in fact Davis Hogue, Beyoncé Knowles-Carter’s paternal great-grandfather, who was a farmer and a moonshiner in the Prohibition era, hiding whisky bottles in the empty knots of cedar trees, to be discovered by his friends. Fittingly, the Sir was added before his first name to give him his deserved respect to truly honour his lasting legacy.
The bottle design by the multi-award winning studio, Stranger & Stranger also gives credence to his legacy, with his initials, DH, inscribed into the base, and the entire creative process overseen by Knowles-Carter, whose brief was for a tall, eye-catching bottle with minimalistic, intentional design elements that serves as an emblem of power and luxury. With its ribbed glass, it uses no front labels besides a ‘SirDavis’ medallion, showcasing a bronzed horse in profile: a reference to Knowles-Carter’s Texas roots and symbolising both strength and respect.
LVMH GROUP
LVMH was created in 1987 through the merger of Moët Hennessy and Louis Vuitton, ushering in a new era for the luxury industry. The group has 75 Maisons in key sectors of the luxury industry—Wines & Spirits, Fashion & Leather Goods, Fragrance & Cosmetics, Watches & Jewelry.
Other activities, including Hospitality and Media—LVMH is now the world leader in luxury. The Group's economic footprint in the regions where it operates—80 countries around the world—
Moët Hennessy is the wine and spirits division of @LVMH, and it has a Portfolio of Maisons, each one of them synonymous with excellence and authenticity, which is unparalleled in the world of spirits. Moët & Chandon, Krug, Veuve Clicquot, Hennessy, Château d’Yquem, Glenmorangie and Colgin all figure among the LVMH group.

The Glencadam distillery places great emphasis on traditional production methods and uses only high-quality ingredients. The result is a whisky of high quality that honours the heritage of Scotch whisky making.
What sets Glencadam Whisky 10 Years apart is its consistency and character. It is neither too light nor too heavy, but just the right balance. This makes it an ideal everyday whisky for whisky lovers, but also for beginners who want to dive into the world of single malt whisky for the first time.

FOR HARDCORE HOUSE OF PAIN FANS ONLY -- "PUT ON YOUR SHITKICKERS AND KICK SOME SHIT!"
NOTE: True story, I'll never forget running into a pair of these out in the wild many years ago at a Downtown L.A. urban wear/style/fashion boutique, but, alas, they weren't in my size. DAMN!! Talk about the best AND worst luck ever!
PIC(S) INFO: Mega-spotlight on the super-hip and awesome HOUSE OF PAIN-edition Adidas Campus 80s, released exclusively on Saint Paddy's Day in 2009.
OVERVIEW: "The Campus 80’s were released in the early 1970’s, however its roots were founded in 1980’s hip-hop and popularised by the BEASTIE BOYS in the 1990’s. The Campus 80’s are a tangible time capsule representing the rap and the B-Boy culture of that era.
These Campus 80’s are named after the American hip-hop group HOUSE OF PAIN and were released March 17th 2009. The Green, White and Orange colour way is inspired by the band’s Irish heritage and also coincides with St Patricks Day. The group’s iconic white outlined crest is embroidered on the tongue and centred is a Three-Leaf Clover. "Fine Malt Lyrics" another name for their debut album ‘is stitched in gold thread across the upper side and can also be found at the bottom of the crest in green stitching. The deep vintage green suede upper and white sole completes this classic look.
The alternating Green insole on the left foot, and Orange on the right is consistent with the Irish flag colours. Adidas brought the shoe to life for hardcore HOUSE OF PAIN fans but can also be enjoyed by those who would purchase these Gazelles for the love of colours and design. Generally the Campus 80’s tend to be quite clean in design yet the silhouette has been released in a variety of colours in varying styles and prints ensuring relevance yet keeping within its prototypal components."

The Battle of Colleen: A Server's Tale
It was midday and I noticed that we were out of decaf. Why anyone would ever want coffee with their fried fish is beyond me. I pretended to look busy to avoid the fact that I’ve only made coffee once in my life, and even then, you would have to smoke two packs a day to enjoy the flavor that came out of it. As the smell of malt vinegar and mysterious white fish assaulted my nose, I weaved my way around the dining room unnecessarily topping off barely sipped sweet teas hoping that I’d avoid coming across the woman who recently trained me. “CeeCee” is what they called her, though the name sounds nearly too joyous for someone so insufferable. She was a southerner, yet no belle, and as sweet as pure cranberry juice. The new hostess, who started the same day as I did, just double-sat her section. Damn it, Mallory. Why’d you have to do that?
“WHO used the last of the decaf and didn’t start a new pot?” I hear screeching from the kitchen. Her voice sounds like nails on a chalkboard, and when she’s angry, you can see her veins protruding next to the aged Celtic knot tattoo on her neck. My wishful thinking tells me that the only thing we have in common is our Scotch-Irish heritage.
“I did”, says another server unknowingly falling on my sword. CeeCee scoffs for a minute, then starts the new pot on her own.
The owners are never here, and I’m almost glad because I’ve already forgotten their names and it feels too late to ask. It’s almost as if they don’t want to witness the downfall of their investments. To my knowledge, there’s never been an official placement of a manager, at least not on paper. CeeCee is the one you go to if there are any problems you can’t figure out yourself, but you better make sure you do all you can before interrupting her. While I was still training, I would typically run and grab an extra layer of thick skin before asking her a question.
What’s never made sense to me is that you only get breaks if you smoke cigarettes. I had picked up my first one at thirteen, but I could still wear a white dress since I never inhaled. The second-hand smoke I’d been around my whole life didn’t count either. Working this job made me curious about the relief they seemed to bring CeeCee. She wasn’t the only one stressed around here, after all. I was too young to buy them, but as long as a certain man was working at the gas station up the street I could go and purchase them. I brought a pack of cowboy killers to work with me and coughed my ass off next to the dumpsters. CeeCee walks outside for fresh air and asks, “Can I bum one?” since she dropped her last one on the wet floor next to the dish pit. I hand one over, light her up, and we stand in awkward silence for a moment. Surprisingly, it was the first time I ever felt decently comfortable around her.
Not knowing whether to speak or not, I ask her “So how long have you worked here?” immediately noticing her annoyance with the disruption of silence. She answers, “Twenty-two fucking years. And I’ve never been worked this hard until recently.” Now that she had mentioned it, she did work three doubles back-to-back this week. It made me start to wonder why I got hired on the spot. She throws the butt on the ground and twists it with her nonslip shoe, reminding me that I still need to get a pair of those. She says, “Thanks for the cig. See you inside” and if I were a fool, I’d believe she even cracked a smile at me before she headed back in.
As the days continue on, I become a part of this oiled machine. To call it well would be an exaggeration. I started to pull my own weight, and even had an extra hand available. However, one day an annoyingly ostentatious couple creeps through our doors and seats themselves in my section. While I’m busy with another table, they snap their fingers as if I am their misbehaving schnauzer. Their disrespectful tone and dislike of our water options became unbearable. I made the mistake of bringing out tartar sauce instead of cocktail. My final straw was hearing “Are you incompetent?” flow from the she-devil’s mouth. I immediately walk back into the kitchen, my face as red as the cheap lobster in the food window, and CeeCee stares at me before saying “They giving you a hard time, huh?” I take a big sigh and say, “Yep, they also called me incompetent."
I didn’t expect to see a fire lit underneath CeeCee so quickly. She says, “You stay right here." I watch through the small window as she marches over towards them, stomping louder than the sound of fifteen soldiers, and slams her hands onto their wobbly table. The sound of “WHO do you think you are? You can kiss my…” echoes through the walls. The couple gets up and leaves, never experiencing consequences so high before. CeeCee walks back into the kitchen, hands me the cigarette behind her ear, and says “Get you some fresh air. I owe you one of these anyway.”
As I took a few drags outside, it clicked that this insufferable woman had a heart underneath her apron. She will never let it show on her sleeve, but she can’t help that it pokes out when someone is treated unfairly. I felt knots in my stomach, as it was the first time a stranger had spoken to me so horribly. CeeCee handled their disrespect so well, as if she had done it every day of her life. Truthfully makes me think that she has, and she knows that I hadn’t.
I hear the door open and look up to see the face of the fifteen soldiers. She plops herself onto the curb next to me, asking to use my lighter. She says, “Chin up, buttercup. You’ll get used to it.” As I exhale, I wonder how CeeCee got used to it so easily.
The more I progressed with this job, the more I dealt with people like that she-devil customer. Each time it would happen, I’d give a look to CeeCee and she would tell me the best way to handle it. Well, more like the way that she would handle it. Afterwards, we would take a smoke break and talk about something else to get our minds off of being angry, and as many times as this happened, we ended up learning a lot about each other. It almost got to the point where I wished a customer would berate me so that I would get to hear a new story from her. Now don’t get me wrong, the woman was still tougher than nails majority of the time, but the moments that you got to see the empathy and humanity in her were something else. As for wondering how CeeCee got used to this way of life so easily, that was something I learned from about eighty-nine more cigarettes.
Colleen “CeeCee” Byrne was really a warrior disguised as a waitress. Emancipated at sixteen, fought numerous men in her life, and never took shit from anybody. Her grandparents fled Ireland in hopes for better circumstances in America, packing up their own generational curse of drunken rage before leaving. This suitcase was handed to CeeCee’s father, which he later bestowed upon her until she put down the bottle seven years ago. Men in her life always came and went, especially when realizing that they weren’t needed. She has a son, who she also had to become a father to. She has always had a never-ending to-do list, which explains why her bedside manners have been pushed to the bottom. If it were me, I doubt I would have them at all. On top of all of this, she was worked like a dog at this establishment, though putting decades of hard work into something would make me hesitant to stray away from it also. She was stuck in a cycle of unsettling comfort. Her soul desperately called out for peace, but her body was too adjusted to the chaos. No wonder she was angry.
Over the next few months, I learned more from CeeCee than life had taught me. I am grateful for that. As she screeched from the dining room to the kitchen, it eventually became the white noise that kept the whole place sane. She still barked at me multiple times, and I know it bothered her when I smiled in response. She once mentioned, “I know you were really the one who didn’t make a new pot of decaf that day” surprising me that she could remember something so seemingly insignificant. Without me saying anything, she took my hand, guided me to the coffee maker, and silently showed me how to make it properly. Since that day, I’ve become somewhat of a barista myself.
I hear that the new owners renamed the restaurant and hired a whole new staff, forcing CeeCee into a well-deserved retirement. Wherever she is, I know she’s giving them hell. As I should’ve known by the Celtic symbol, we were never much different, our knots were just tied differently. The stress of her surroundings was slowly killing her. I take a drag of my cigarette to honor her work.

Ao3: Better than Sex (Trephacard)
Tumblr media
The day of tapping a new barrel of beer was always great. Two days after tended to be better, though, as it did not end with Trevor completely drunk - and did not start with a bad hangover. Still, he could not stop his relished sigh, as he put down the mug.
“Better than sex?” Sypha teased – and by God, Trevor knew that there was just no right answer to it.
“Just differently good,” he replied, knowing well he would never in his entire life live that one down.
“Want beer,” Marie demanded, her small hands grabbing for his mug, but he raised it up.
“Not for at least another 8 years.”
“But I fucking wanna,” the child demanded and frowned in a way that she had definitely inherited from her mother. The vocabulary meanwhile clearly being part of the Belmont heritage.
Adrian ruffled the child's hair. “You'll life to waiting a few years.”
She pouted at that, crossing her little arms and leaning back in her chair.
Of course Trevor had been pretty young when he had started to drink. Not that young, but fairly young, considering he had lived on the street and the alcohol was a method to keep warm in winter. Living in their little village, though, had given him a new appreciation of the craft. He would no longer drink some poorly brewed piss, but actually appreciate the right mixture of Hops and malted corn. He licked his beer bitter, but with a slight freshness to it. While Sypha would tease him about this one thing he had said one time five years ago, his husband would take on that approach.
“I am so glad it is to your liking,” he teased.
“It is. It might need just a tiny bit more malt, the next time around.”
“Ah, yes, I can see we are really getting sophisticated.”
“And it is all your fucking fault.”
“Well, better than it was before, isn't it?”
“Great,” Sypha snorted. “Now he is a sophisticated drunk.” She shook her head, while cutting up some of the meat they were having for supper for their daughter, who still had not mastered the use of a knife.

A true #Kaiseki #Omakase & #Whisky Appreciation Dinner with a top Kaiseki chef who hails from #Sapporo #Hokkaido #Japan and superbly paired with top-notch cutting edge whiskies from the Nagano and Kagoshima region consisting of #iwai #mars Manzanilla single malt Komagatake and single malt Tsunuki - astonishingly smooth and awesome! Considered the epitome of Japanese cuisine, Chef Saitoh-san, uses his Kaiseki and Omasake technique to showcase his title as the grand master of Japanese cuisine, and he came to Singapore, out of his own desire, to share the appeals of traditional Japanese cuisine, which is recognized as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage. Saitoh-san uses his professional experience and discerning eye to procure only the finest ingredients. This ability is vital in Japanese cuisine where much emphasis is placed on seasonality and the ability to bring out the best of every ingredient. Seasonal fruits and vegetables that are usually not easily obtained, as well as fish and meat of the highest quality, are procured from all over Japan. The Tasting Panel were thoroughly spoilt with an 8-course menu which was well curated with the 4 distinct whiskys on-taste at each tier within the degustation. My personal favorites were the sashimi - whiskey aburi snapper, scallop and botan shrimp… temaki hand roll, charcoal grilled kurobuta black pork infused with whiskey… and the chuturo sushi.. i like the way how the appetizer was being assembled in a kaiseki-formatted provision and the motivation behind the chef’s hand whipped matcha.. truly one of the best whiskey pairing dinners I have ever had.. @sushi.sei.sg @rosettemedia @rosett_asia The quality was impeccable, the ingredients super fresh, and sashimi well-structured.. my media rating is at 9/10, much higher than most omakases that i have tasted at well known establishments in Asia, Shanghai, Ho Chi Minh and Singapore. . . #love #instagood #fashion #beautiful #happy #art #photography #style #travel #life #cute #hiso #luxury #lifestyle #SGLifestyle #like4like #photooftheday #picoftheday #instamood #ooishi (at Holiday Inn Singapore Orchard City Centre) https://www.instagram.com/p/CpCaIIju92m/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Saugatuck Brewing Company celebrates the release of Rainbow Rodeo IPA, by also including it in their "A Trip to the Art Coast" variety pack.
Tumblr media
Press Release
Saugatuck, MI – Saugatuck Brewing Company (SBC) is doubling down on its tasty new product releases this year aimed at meeting the growing demands of its customers and the craft beer market. With the Rainbow Rodeo IPA, SBC has cast a line of citrus, tropical and piney notes with enough body to make a splash, yet maintain an easy drinking, great bucking IPA. This IPA follows the release earlier this year of Lake Street Lager, a light bodied crisp and clean American lager for any occasion that is making its way to everyone's cooler for spring.
“We adapted techniques from brewing traditional Midwest IPAs and modern IPAs to create Rainbow Rodeo which embraces the best characteristics of each,” said Head Brewer Matt Alderink. “It is classic Midwest malt backbone with modern juicy mouthfeel and bitterness.”
Rainbow Rodeo IPA pays homage to its home state of Michigan’s reputation as a fly-fishing mecca for rainbow trout and rich heritage of farming. SBC’s brew masters baited Rainbow Rodeo IPA with malts of Two Row, Caramel 60, White Wheat and Flaked Oats coupled with Centennial, Simcoe, Cascade and Columbus hops. It weighs in at 7.0% ABV and 60 IBUs.
“Our Rainbow Rodeo IPA is produced to be a bright and easy-drinking American IPA, with a creative can that hooks you when you see it on the shelf. This new staple has been added to our mainstay lineup and our new variety pack, A Trip to the Art Coast, that includes other must-have styles. We see the Rainbow Rodeo artwork as a portal into a wild world of hops, where cowgirls wrangle in large rainbow trout, upending the idea that only men enjoy fishing and beer. You have to admit, she’s pretty badass, and so is what’s inside the can,” said Sara VanSplinter, Director of Marketing.
SBC’s new A Trip to the Art Coast Variety Pack includes the two new releases, Rainbow Rodeo IPA and Lake Street Lager, along with the Bonfire Brown and Vienna Lager. Vienna Lager is currently only available in the Variety Pack. The Variety Pack is available in 12-packs, with three 12 oz cans of each style.
SBC is planning a series of release parties for the Rainbow Rodeo IPA at their three locations, complete with a featured smoked trout dip special, custom playing cards to play a little Go Fish, live music and more. One of the highlights will be at the Douglas Pub and Barrel Room on Saturday, April 29 where Northern Michigan female fly-fishing guide, Ash Agler, will be on hand from 1:00pm – 2:30pm for fly casting demos and Q & A.
Be sure to buy raffle tickets for a chance to win a half-day walk in trip with Ash. All proceeds go to the Kalamazoo River Alliance. Details on the three Rainbow Rodeo IPA release parties are as follows:

The Best Japanese Whiskey Buying Guide
True Japanese whiskies value subtle taste distinctions above everything else. The origins of the water and the kind of wood used in the barrels, both have an impact on the final product’s flavor. Some Japanese distilleries employ exotic wood that can’t be obtained anywhere else, giving their spirits a unique taste that can’t be replicated in the United States.

2. Yamazaki Distillery Reserve Single Malt Whisky
Known as “the pioneer of Japanese whisky,” Yamazaki® is Japan’s first and oldest distillery. Yamazaki, the birthplace of Japanese whisky and Suntory’s flagship single malt, was founded in 1923 on the outskirts of Kyoto in a unique, misty region where water and mountains offer diversity in nature and temperature and where conditions are ideal for ageing whisky.
Yamazaki Distiller’s Reserve is the introduction to the brand. Respecting Yamazaki’s heritage and signature taste, we combine aged Yamazaki sherry cask and aged Mizunara cask malt whiskies to create Distiller’s Reserve, a rich, easy-to-drink whisky with a round-bodied, profound, and mature taste that is always luxurious, exclusive, knowledgeable, but never pretentious.
3. Nikka Coffey Grain Whisky
The Coffey Still is the world’s first patented continuous still, invented by Mr. Aeneas Coffey in 1830. Masataka Taketsuru valued the feature of this type of stew, which retains the flavours of the ingredients and also creates a distinctive texture. The complex, sweet, and mellow flavours in Nikka Coffee invite you back to the beauties of grain whisky.
Type: Japanese Whisky
Size: 700mL
24.9 standard drinks
Alcohol Volume: 45%
Country: Japan
Brand Name: Nikka
Closure: Screw Cap
4. Hibiki Japanese Harmony
An exclusive limited edition of Hibiki Japanese Harmony featuring hints of Yamazaki Sherry Cask
Hibiki Whisky is a harmonious blend of numerous malt and grain whiskies that have been painstakingly blended to create a full orchestra of flavours and aromas.Seductive, blossoming, and enigmatic, Hibiki Whisky celebrates an unrivalled art of blending, fine craftsmanship, and a sense of luxury from the House of Suntory.
5. White Oak Akashi Japanese Single Malt Whisky
Akashi White OakSingle-malt Bourbon Whisky has been aged in bourbon barrels for 5 years.White Oak Distillery outside the city of Akashi is Japan’s oldest, having held its distilling licence since 1919. Unlike Yamazaki, which started production swiftly after attaining its licence in 1923, White Oak waited 80 years to put its first spirit into a cask. With their primary focus being the more traditional Japanese alcohols of sake and shochu, White Oak produces a small amount of whisky, a drop in the ocean compared to the giants Suntory and Nikka.
6. Suntory Toki Blended Japanese Whisky
Toki means time in Japanese. A vivid blend of whiskies from Suntory’s Hakushu, Yamazaki, and Chita distilleries, Suntory Whisky Toki features the quintessential characteristics of a Suntory Whisky blend: exquisite balance, harmony, and oneness. At the same time, its unique pairing of Hakushu® American white oak cask malt whisky with Chita heavy-type grain whisky overturns the traditional hierarchy between malt and grain.
While Japanese whiskey may be the best in the world, it’s not the only type of whiskey that’s worth trying. Scotch whisky, Irish whiskey, and American whiskey all have their own unique flavors and qualities that make them worth seeking out. So, whether you’re a whiskey aficionado or a newcomer to the world of whiskey, be sure to give Japanese whiskey a try atBoozehouse
