Annabeth: "Ah and here are your Dad's car keys"

Luke: "Excuse me my Dad's what?"

Annabeth:" Your Dad's car keys!"

Luke: "Annie why do you have my Dad's car keys?"

Annabeth: "Because we needed a ride to the underworld"

Luke: "So you stole my Dad's, the God of Thieves, car keys. Instead of just a car"

Annabeth: "That and he was being a dick!"

Luke: "Makes sense. Where is Dad's car?"

Annabeth: "I dunno. Might still be in LA"

Luke, entering the Hermes cabin: "Who wants to take a joy ride in Dad's car? We'd have to get it from LA first though!"

Entire Hermes Cabin: "Fuck yeah!"

Another AU where Percy isn’t adjusting well to life at school and no matter how hard he tries it’s so hard to remain still.

He had fought for peace, bled for it, given up so much for it, but he isn’t made for it anymore. He’s too restless. Too wild. To unrooted. Being at camp helps — at least there he can fight and train and teach the younger campers how to protect themselves — being around Estelle helps — she is after all exactly what he was fighting for, and she will get to live the peace he never could — but at a certain point he has to just go.

Then Hermes appears with a too casual smile and the keys to a car Percy certainly couldn’t have afforded on his own.

“I have a kid out in Nevada that’s about to turn eleven. He could use an escort to camp if you’re willing.”

He isn’t sure if it’s an order or a mercy, a reason to let him go as far as he needed and seek out the fights his blood screams for. He takes the keys either way.

(Later, laughing as a blond son of Hermes is sitting in the passenger seat attempting to balance french fries on his nose, Percy thinks that if anyone understood what it was like to need to move it would be the god of travelers himself.)

I have never worked with Hermes before, but he helped me this morning!

This morning I was floated to a different hospital that I always seem to get lost in. (Different elevators go to different floors. So confusing.) Before I left my car, I prayed to Hermes and asked him to help me navigate through the hospital so that I wouldn’t be late for my shift.

I got on the parking garage elevator to the hospital, and one of my coworkers was on the same elevator. I was able to follow her to the unit and learn the best route to the elevator that takes me to the right floor.

It may not seem like much, but it’s a big hospital. I don’t usually see a coworker to help me find my way.

Thank you, Hermes!

Allow me to tell you a story about a big help I had from the gods a couple months ago.

I was quite tight with money during that time, the holidays had just blown over and I was still recovering, and the bills were stacking to the point I was losing sleep and having anxiety attacks.

Keep in mind I have only started this journey with them not too long before this, so I was a little skeptical that they would help but I was at a point where I was crying and praying with everything in me.

One morning I decided to go to the beach since it isn’t a long drive and before I started driving a sent a quick prayer to Hermes (which I had never done, it was always Apollo) because I remembered he is the god of travel and I wanted to return safely.

Everything was fine that day until I was returning home and I got into a very light car accident (I got rear ended). You can imagine how upset I was. I thought I would have to spend even more money to fix my car and pay the insurance.

Thankfully it was just a scratch and a small dent and when I was figuring it out with the insurance (having severe anxiety because I had never done it before) they told me that I didn’t have to worry, I was going to be paid a generous amount for the crash and that was that.

When I tell you I was so shocked to hear that. I went back home and cried and thanked them for their help. I’ve been worshiping since then.

Now I think Hermes is completely responsible for this but at first I thought it was some twisted joke from Apollo for not praying to him instead of Hermes but it turns out Hermes was just really eager to help me when he heard my first call for him.
