Jason headcanons PLEASE!!!!! <3

I had to use Juni Ba’s The Boy Wonder images of Jason as they are the best and I love them, LOOK AT HIM! Skrunkly bastard (affectionate)

You are legally contracted to hold his hand 24/7. Constant touches are a thing with Jason as he doesn’t like you being too far away from him to reach for you in the instant something bad were to happen, he wanted to be able to pull you away from the first signs of danger he sees.

He’s protective over you because he didn’t think he’d get the chance to find happiness nor peace in his life after coming back from the pit. He didn’t believe it was in the cards for him at all given how his life had been thus far.

You ground him when Jason’s thoughts got too loud for his liking and needed something to focus in on and what’s better to focus on other then your touch in order to calm himself down. He practically melts and gets fearful when you try to pull away.

If it’s a rainy day in Gotham -which is probably more often then not- you and Jason would use this as an excuse to cuddle up to one another in your most comfiest of clothing and sit on the windowsill to listen to the rain outside as you exchanged kisses.

This man has never known a moment of peace until you entered his life and so he is extremely grateful that you even give him the time of day to go out with him. Without you he’s hopeless and lost because he had been wanting a truthful and honest connection but had never found it with anyone but you.

You don’t treat him as though he was going to snap and instead like an ordinary human being and Jason has never been more in love then he has when you made him feel normal.

Jason likes having non sexual skin to skin contact with you where he got to trace your bare skin with his hands as though he were admiring a masterpiece, a deity before him because to him you very much were and he loved every aspect of you no matter what, he’ll go as far as to kiss your bodily insecurities as often as you’d let him if it meant showing you just how in love with you he was.

Bonus if you reciprocate this by kissing his scars and insecurities while telling him how beautiful and perfect he is, Jason can and will cry into your shoulder when you do shower him in sweet words and soft caresses.

He’s not use to tender touches and so he’d often flinches before realising that he’ll never come to harm when with you, he’d only be greeted with love, affection and respect.

He reads you to sleep when your having troubles doing so on your own, he’ll hold you against his chest as he reads the chapter of his book aloud for you, his thumb stroking your side reassuringly until you fell asleep with your face buried into your neck.

Jason sleeps with his back towards the door whenever he holds you, it’s so that if anything were to try and harm you, they’d have to go through him first and Jason would fight tooth and nail if it meant keeping you safe.

You were his reason for being and he wasn’t about to let you be ripped from his arms, he shamelessly wants you to himself because when has he ever had something that was just his?

He likes it when you greet him in the mornings by hugging him from behind as he makes you breakfast and loves it even more when you tighten your hold every time he moved. Jason loved being loved and he loves being loved by you especially.

I enjoyed my time with it, even if I struggled a lot. While I was playing it I got really REEEEAAALLY feaking sick. So much so that it was very hard to focus and react, which made the bosses extremely difficult for me. Ngl I was so sick that I threw in the towel at Axis and just watched a playthrough. Now that I'm better I should try my hands at it again.

But yeee my favorite character has to be Starlo. He's a fan favorite for a reason and I definitely see it. As for music... I really enjoy Showdown! and Enemy Retreating (that track has no excuse to go this hard)

And yes, Clover is an adorable little nugget. Even though it was obvious what was going to happen to them, it still broke me. Silent characters are a deal breaker for a lot of people, but the little actions they did really endeared me to their character.

Vincent Sinclair:

Every single post about a generic ghostface, Stu just decides to think that's about him. There's fanart of ghost faces in cat ears, in skirts, in hot pink slutty outfits and he thinks every single one is great. He's obsessed with the fanfare! Stu’s obsessively searching his name, reading all the thirst out loud to anyone who will listen. He read your post about how his dick must be massive and he's tried to DM you a dick pic but tumblr auto-flagged it and now his account is pixelated and marked as nsfw. He also responds to every single ghost face thirst post with a bunch of emojis and it's kinda spammy. U accidentally block him.

Billy Lenz: 

To Billy, the word babygirl is stupid, thinks that all the piggy whores must be incredibly stupid and slutlike to call HIM babygirl. But! He’s very entertained by the fanart, Billy likes all the art that makes him look like a weird little creature. He responds to things here and there, but it's mostly keysmashes and corrupted text. You made some post about how you think he’s so big and handsome and he’d be so nice to cuddle and his hands are so big compared to yours, Bubba read it over and over and over. Somehow, he accidentally posted a very blurry photo to his blog with a keysmash username and tumblr removed his blog because of gore. This is very distressing for him lol.

Thomas Hewitt: 

After reading approximately (1) post about wanting his juicy fat man tits in your mouth, Thomas is suddenly very aware of the way his body is shaped. He’s been called a big, hulking freak for so long that he never thought at someone would be attracted to the way he looks. Slowly and using his finger to trace the words, he reads a LONG-WINDED thirst post about himself. There's several comments agreeing. Each comment is dirtier than the last. These are words he's never really comprehended before and this is honestly a little overwhelming. Then he reads a post about how you think he’s PRETTY and he’s very babygirl. This out of everything makes his face get hot and he’s done with the internet for now. He’s got a lot to think about.

Freddy Krueger: 

One of your posts was making fun of him for being a dirty old man. You really should’ve kept your mouth shut about that. He’s seen enough on your blog to really put together a grand ol plan on how to really fuck with you in your dreams. The more he stalks your blog, the weirder the posts get. He saw an edit of his glove where instead of blades, it was tipped with long sparkly acrylic nails. You’ve edited his hat to be a pink cowboy hat, you’ve given him hair once? You call him babygirl in every single post and he’s just titteringly excited to see if you’ll SCREAM babygirl when you see him.

hello! as always i’m sure i’m forgetting plenty of stuff but these are some of my favs, both completed and ongoing series.

completed:

batman: the knight (2022)

miniseries, 10 issues total, so it’s extremely readable and really satisfying in a short amount of time! i like zdarsky’s bruce a lot (i’ve also enjoyed his work on the current batman run) and carmine di giandomenico’s art is fantastic. also, it’s the ghost-maker origin story and bruce & khoa somehow get divorced at least twice before the story’s over. love that for them.

superman: american alien (2015)

anthology collection about clark kent through the years, a really great read for superman—digging into clark’s character rather than focusing on external plot!—with some great cameos too (like young adult clark getting mistaken for some rich guy named bruce wayne at a yacht party, or reporter clark running into pre-robin dick grayson).

future state (2021) batman: dark detective

i am not immune to dan mora’s bruce wayne, especially when he is skrunkly and beat up the whole time.

batman: urban legends (2021)

an anthology so you can kind of pick up/put down as you like! these are a good read if you don’t want to be tracking huge overarching plotlines for a bit. the first few issues have a great jason series too.

ongoing series aka my current pulls at the comic shop:

spirit world (2023)

this one is new and is SO fun and compelling; i love xanthe already, and the assorted cast (including constantine and cass!) and new side characters (bowen my beloved, i’d die for you if you weren’t already dead) are delightful. one of those comics where i’m genuinely interested in the plot too and not just reading for my favs. alyssa wong is doing some really cool things with this concept/cast and i hope they have a chance to do way more in this world.

batman/superman world’s finest (2022)

again, i am not immune to dan mora, or the delightful superbat of it all. (and robin!dick! i love him.) i also started reading waid’s teen titans spin-off that takes place in this same era and there are only a few issues out so far but i’m having a great time.

city boy (2023)

i am OBSESSED with this concept (sentient cities! sharp-edged/lonely character figuring out his connection to them!) and the writing is super fun so far. also the intro comic (free on kindle/elsewhere; also has a free spirit world issue) has a great nightwing run-in.

i’m also subscribed to nightwing, superboy: the man of tomorrow, action comics (anything with kon crumbs…), and dark knights of steel (listen…i am still holding out hope for more royal court spy!tim crumbs), and i don’t know much about shazam yet but i’m giving the new series a try too.

Three count em THREE whole people said they liked my headcanons and wanted more so I'm back with more, this time for how they sleep bc I think it's funny.

COYLE

- Like a damn ROCK.

- But also, extremely vigilant at the same time.

- You could pick him up, shake him, scream in his face, he sleeps. Door cracks open a little? Floorboard creaks? He's up and ready for a fight.

- I really hope he'd sleep in boxers but he strikes me as a butt ass naked kinda guy. Enter his room at your own peril he WILL fight naked.

- Sleeps with his arms to his side, stiff as a board. Dead center of the bed though so good luck if you're looking to share with him.

- Sleeps like that partly bc of military and partly bc if he sleeps on his side he drools.

- Snores like a fucking lawn mower. Has woken people up from a sound sleep bc of it. People are holding grudges.

- The sunglasses and hat stay ON.

- No blankets, no sheets. You can guess how awful this is with the whole sleeping naked thing.

- Sleep walker. Again, awful when you remember that he's nakey.

- One pillow. There is a perfectly head shaped dent in it from his bald ass dome.

GOOSEBERRY

- How many pillows can you fit on a bed? Okay now double it.

- Her bed has the comfiest blankets and the biggest quilt ever.

- Futterman gets his own pillow, so she sleeps on her back with one arm up on the pillow and the other resting on her stomach.

- This is because if he doesn't have his own pillow he'll complain. Also he'll get lost in the mess of blankets.

- She still does the Futterman voice in her sleep. Futterman talks in his sleep. Futterman does not say nice things in his sleep.

- She also talks in her sleep but she's talking about making sure the children are safe or that her pie needs to come out of the oven while Futterman says things about dental hygiene (and how you'll be taught about it whether you like it or not)

- The ONLY one of the prime assets that brushes her teeth before bed. Doesn't wash her face though.

- If she didn't have Futterman to worry about she'd be a side sleeper, pillow tucked under her head and blanket tucked up under her chin.

- She'd have one stuffed animal me thinks. I'd say it's the duck but that feels too simple. How about a mmm ratty old cat.

- Wakes up with the blankets off of her everytime. She doesn't know how it happens but it does.

- Wears the cutest pajama set ever. Futterman deserves pajamas too.

- Sleepytime tea connoisseur. Chamomile with cinnamon and honey every night.

FRANCO

- Again, God help us where do I begin.

- He is my little skrunkly so I say this all with love. Maybe. Potentially. Maybe a little hate.

- Would absolutely spend the money to get an adult sized crib to sleep in. Maybe Murkoff got him one just to make him a little less of a brat (affectionate).

- Sooooo many stuffed animals. So many. From classic stuffies to weird stuffed animals you never would've thought existed.

- He cuddles with the same one every night though, without fail. According to character ai it's a pink elephant so I'm going with that.

- I feel like he'd have a special pajama set for each weekday. Or he'd wear whatever the hell he was wearing during the day to bed. Not sure which.

- If he doesn't have the binky he'll resort to thumb sucking, he won't sleep if he can't have one or the other.

- Also needs sound to sleep, a silent room makes him antsy. Typically has cartoons going.

- (Sad one for those of you who like angst) Dreams about what life could've been like if he had a happy family. Wakes up in tears every time.

- (Cute one to apologize for that) He's clingy as all hell. If someone were to sleep in the same bed as him they'd become his human teddy bear. Good luck getting up this mother fucker has Grip and is so starved for positive attention.

- He wakes up groggy as hell. Give him 30 minutes after he's gotten up bc before then he barely remembers where he is.

- Kicks in his sleep. And they're not gentle kicks either that little bastard is MEAN.

- Drools, sorry not sorry.

- If you pet his head he'll be out like a light :)

Appearance:

Gale is notably more human appearing than his boss and co-workers, which is a bit of an oddity, considering the crowd generally drawn to Silas. He has darkly tanned skin that has several scars and is covered with dark blue and purple freckles, and his eyes are light orange. His hands are webbed, and he does have small claws as well.

His left arm is amputated, and the stub is quite scarred over.

His tail is large and wide with a somewhat small tailfin, which does make him a bit slower than some others. His scales are dark blue, pink, and orange, and his fins are orange in colour. His tail has many stripes and spots that match that of an emperor angelfish, like this:

His hair is long, going past his shoulders, and mostly dark blue with pink, orange, purple, and red streaking through it. It looks exactly like this:

Personality:

Gale can be serious, but not like Silas is. He's a much more humorous fella often in the form of sadcasm and is quite smug and flirty too. He's got the chilled but still serious uncle vibe to him at times. He's easily excitable and tells stories about his treasure hunts often but is also extremely stubborn. He's kind in his own odd way and fiercely loyal to those he's close to and especially Silas, who he respects greatly.

Some Fun Facts/Extra Info:

•Gale is twisted from Gill from Finding Nemo

•He was separated from his parents when he was younger and ended up trapped on land and sold at an auction. He eventually escaped but never saw his parents or the rest of his family again

•When he was first captured, his left arm was horribly mangled in the process and had to be amputated

•He's claustrophobic

•Gale has a little club for other merfolk that experienced being captured by humans (He may have called it the "Tank Gang"...)

•While Gale is much more humanlike than the others, he was met with a lot of ableism and mistreatment when trying to find other jobs before he met Silas

•He can wield a spear incredibly well

•He wishes he had magic cause it seems badass (and could have saved him as a kid huh who said that)

•Gale likes Finn a lot and even helped Silas with teaching him to hunt

•He's friends with Timo (and uh thinks he's pretty cute but let's ignore that for now haha)

Sure! I personally don't have asthma, so I'm sorry if these aren't necessarily the most accurate. Most of my research for these things comes from Mayo Clinic and the NIH. I also went to the ACAAI for this one. These will be headcanons because they weren't specified, but if you want a short fic you can ask!

TW: Asthma Attacks, Hacking, Invasion of Privacy/Stalking

Micah Yujin with a Reader who has Asthma:

• He's a smart man. I mean, he literally found your address by hacking into your personal information. So, the chances are, he probably knows that you have asthma. Not only that, but what type of asthma you have, any allergies you have, what medication you take... you get the gist. The only problem he may have is knowing what exactly your condition may cause.

• Yes, most everybody knows asthma can cause shortness of breath and asthma attacks, but not everybody really knows the less noticable symptoms, or what to do during an asthma attack. That's not going to stop him from trying his best to learn! He's pretty internet savvy, so he knows where to look. Though, those pesky research papers have a bunch of medical terms he doesn't understand... What the hell is an etiology, or a toxicokinetic? He's probably looking at papers that are high above his medical knowledge or reading level.

• When the two of you finally end up meeting face to face, he's absolutely ecstatic! He also tries his best to accommodate for you in certain scenarios. If the two of you decide to go on a hike or walk, he'll try to go slower for you so you don't overexert yourself. If your asthma is triggered by certain dusts or allergens, he'll be keeping a sharp eye out for them to steer you away from it. He may seem to be extremely overprotective and worried about it, and he really is! He wants to protect you, but he's also painfully aware that he can't really do so when it's a chronic illness...

• If you ever end up having an asthma attack with him nearby, his first step is to internally panic. Yes, he knows what to do, but he's also terrified that it might not work. However, he'll help you sit down, use your inhaler if you have one, and get you to a safe place. All while he's internally telling himself stupid jokes to keep himself calm, and telling you words of affirmation to keep you calm. As much as he'd love to tell you the jokes he thinks of, he doesn't want to make you laugh or frustrate you while you're having difficulties breathing. Humor tends to calm him down when upset, but he knows others might get angry and think he's not taking the situation seriously. He'll tell you them after your attack passes, and you've calmed down, if you want.

• Micah is going to let you cuddle one of his dinosaurs, afterwards. If you aren't allergic to cats, he'll also let you cuddle Skrunkly. If you are, though, he'll put her into a different room for you, and vacuum the room after she's out.

• He's the type to completely forget about your asthma until you actually have a problem. Not necessarily in the sense that he'd forget to avoid your triggers. No, he'll remember them, and help you avoid them. It's more like it is second nature to him, now, and he doesn't think of your asthma as being "asthma". It's almost like he's forgotten that not everyone has the "smaller" symptoms, like coughing or slight wheezing while laughing... And that may or may not be because you're one of the few people he actually talks to. So, any small symptoms are seen as just normal, then whenever you have bigger, more serious problems related to your asthma, he'll suddenly remember that "Oh, yeah, you have asthma- OH SHIT-!" and begin panicking, because said "more serious problems" that most likely will make him actively think about your asthma are probably asthma attacks or extreme coughing fits.

• He's probably going to have a miniature checklist written down on things to bring with him whenever he's going somewhere with you. He's already been bringing a mini first aid kit with him just because it's useful, but now he's bringing a separate kit with your emergency inhaler and any medications you might need to take in an emergency, as well as a thermos of a warm, caffeinated beverage to drink if you don't have or use an inhaler.
