A/N A. Yes, it's another Taylor Swift songfic and B. Four fics in five days, I've been cooking
And you were wild and crazy / Just so frustrating, intoxicating, complicated
Ever since Y/N met Luke Castellan, he drove her insane. When they were kids, 13 and 14 respectively, they hated each other. She hated the way he came in and immediately started bossing the campers around. Despite being so young she was the counselor for the Demeter cabin. Her big sister—her only sibling at the time—had tragically died on her way to camp that summer. But instead of mourning the always kind and radiant daughter of Demeter, they mourned the daughter of Zeus no one had ever met. And seeing the way the new boy seemed to soak up the attention made her hate him.
By the time she was 15 they still hated each other but he was all she had. They had both been at camp so long, and lost so many of their siblings and friends, both could hardly remember life without the other. But they still argued like children. So whenever they had bickered so much that Chiron or Mr. D got tired of it, they’d send them to do a chore together. They spent long hours cleaning the showers, stables, infirmary, doing practically every undesirable chore together that they finally started to talk.
Luke got to know her and understand why she hated him. And she had learned about his life and gained sympathy for him.
Soon enough those talks became makeout sessions. They stopped talking but at least they couldn’t fight if their lips were occupied. It was like they were addicted to each other.
Eventually they slid into dating. When they weren’t talking it was great. But someone would inevitably say or do something that made the other mad.
~
“Why were you flirting with him?” Luke demanded, slamming the door of the Demeter cabin.
“What are you talking about? I was training him. You know? Doing my job!”
“It wasn’t just training and you know it.”
“Gods you’re so insecure and possessive.”
“You’re the one who begged me to commit to you. Of course I’m gonna worry about my fucking girlfriend.”
“I did not beg you.”
“Yes you did. You’re the insecure one. You just needed to put a label on it and screw everything up.”
~
“You were supposed to meet me by the lake an hour ago!” Y/N stormed into the room.
“Oh crap. I’m so sorry babe,” he apologized. Trying to kiss her and make it go away.
“You do this all the time. I’m never a priority to you!”
“You’re literally my girlfriend. I don’t know what else you want.”
“I’m only your girlfriend because you didn’t want me to date anyone else!”
~
“Why are you packing?” Luke asked.
“You know my cousin who goes to Syracuse? She invited me up for the weekend.”
“So what? You can go party with frat guys?”
“No, so I can party with girls,” she tried to lighten the mood.
But Luke wasn’t consoled.“I don’t want you going to some college and getting drunk.”
“Why?”
“Because so many things can happen. You could get drugged and taken advantage of. You could get attacked. What are you gonna do if a cyclops sniffs you out but you’re too drunk to realize?”
“You’re not actually worried about that you just don’t trust me.”
“Of course I trust you. It’s them I don’t trust.”
“It takes two to tango.”
“Again, you could get roofied.”
“Urgh Luke you’re not listening to me!”
~
They had plenty of arguments. So much so that the Hermes and Demeter campers had a silent agreement to go to each other’s cabins whenever their counselors started arguing.
But toxic relationships can’t go on forever.
It was Y/N’s birthday. She was turning 18. Collectively Camp Half-Blood made a big deal about birthdays considering that each one literally signified a triumph over death. But Luke couldn’t even be bothered to spend the day with her. When she woke up in his bed, he was already up and putting on his training gear. “‘Morning,” she greeted softly. She tried not to seem too excited about her birthday but all she wanted in that moment was for him to say “happy birthday.”
“Hey,” he smiled. “I'm gonna go train with some of the other campers. The new kids have been excited to watch me fight so…” he said smugly, already halfway out the door. “Just uh make the bed when you leave? Thanks.”
She was left disappointed. Like she always was except for when they were together but not talking.
But almost as soon as she stepped outside she was greeted with several wishes for a good birthday. She nearly cried when she got back to her cabin and found her bunk decorated, small gifts left on her bed from her friends and siblings.
By lunch practically the whole camp had wished her a happy birthday and she was feeling a bit better. She was reading a book she got as a gift, sitting alone at the Demeter table while she ate. Laughter invaded the dining pavilion and she watched as Luke entered along with the campers he had been training. He spotted her, coming over to her table but she didn’t even look up at him.
“Are you mad at me?” he asked. No response. “Why are you mad?” Still no response. After a few beats of silence he tried to change the subject. “So what are you reading?” She just held the book up so he could read the title. “Ah. Where’d you get that?”
By now the other campers had grabbed their food and were walking past the Demeter table. “Happy birthday, Y/N,” they each wished as they passed by. She smiled up at each of them as they passed. She only spared a glance at Luke to witness the expression on his face.
“Are-are you mad because you think I forgot your birthday? Of course I didn’t forget your birthday, babe. I’m just uh… saving my surprise for after dinner.”
“Sure,” was all she said, flipping the page.
“No, no,” Luke insisted, coming around to the other side of the table. He straddled the bench, wrapping his arms around her waist to pull her close. As he did so he pressed a kiss against her cheek because she was still focused on her book. “You’re gonna love your gift. I swear.”
Luke spent the rest of the afternoon running around trying to put together a surprise. He got Mr. D to summon a small cake. Fortunately Mr. D was the one person in camp that didn’t know or care that it was Y/N’s birthday so he didn’t ask questions. As for the gift, Luke was lost. Anything in the camp store she’d immediately be able to tell wasn’t something he had thought about and anything he already owned she’d recognize as his.
So he went out to the meadow, picking flowers. She was the daughter of Demeter, of course she liked flowers.
So by the time dinner finished, Luke was pretty proud of what he had pieced together despite his limited resources. After everyone had left the dining pavilion, he brought Y/N to the docks where he proudly displayed his hard work. Except when he handed her the flowers, she looked disappointed. “Hey, what’s wrong?”
She shook her head. “I know you forgot my birthday. That’s fine. Whatever,” she sniffed passive aggressively. “But you gave me probably the most cop out gift you could think of.”
“What do you mean? You love flowers.”
By now the tears were freely flowing from her eyes. “You know I hate cut flowers because they just die. You could have dug a few up, preserved their roots and repotted them.”
“Okay fine, I’ll plant them.”
But she shook her head. “No, it’s too late.”
“Then I’ll get new flowers.”
“No, not about flowers. It’s too late for us.”
His heart sunk. “What?”
“Luke, I think we should break up.”
“Over a damn gift? Y/N, I’m sorry. I know I dropped the ball but the wrong gift isn’t something you break up over.”
“It’s not about the gift!” she cried. “Luke, we don’t know each other. We’re strangers who are together because it’s convenient. The gift just proves you only know the basics. We’ve been together for two years. Known each other for five. You should know I don’t like cut flowers.”
“So we need to reconnect? We can work through this. Please Y/N, don’t do anything rash.”
She just shook her head again. “You’re not getting it. It’s not even just that we don’t know each other. We can’t talk for more than five minutes before fighting. We’re toxic, Luke.”
“But we’re…”
“Just because we’re all each other has doesn’t mean we’re good together.”
“Y/N, don’t do this. Please.” By now even Luke had a few tears in his eyes.
“I’m sorry, Luke. But this is better for both of us.” With that, she walked away from him for the last time.
~~
He can't see the smile I'm faking / And my heart's not breaking / 'Cause I'm not feeling anything at all
Getting over Luke was the hardest thing she ever had to do. She spent several days crying to her younger sister, Katie. She tried to help her sister but the younger girl couldn’t relate, making Y/N just feel more alone. But then a new Athena camper joined and things got better.
Chiron had basically assigned Y/N to show Ben the ropes around camp. He felt bad for the poor girl. No one liked watching her or Luke sulk around camp.
“Ben, I’d like you to meet Y/N. She’s one of our most senior campers and counselor of the Demeter cabin.”
She smiled at the new boy. “Hi. Do you know what cabin you’ll be in yet?”
“Yeah, uh Athena. She claimed me when the satyrs found me,” he answered, already finding himself interested. Chiron tried to hide his smirk realizing the boy’s quickly growing feelings.
“Well you’re one of the lucky ones.”
“I’ve heard.”
“Y/N,” Chiron interrupted, “why don’t you show Ben around? Let him know how we do things around here.”
“Uh, sure. C’mon I’ll give you a tour.” As they went around camp, Ben asked her all sorts of things about herself. Favorite color, favorite flower, who her friends were, what they were like, what she liked to eat and more. All the things Luke should have known.
As they kept going through camp, Ben knew he was already falling for her. And not just because Chiron had talked her up so much as they had approached the daughter of Demeter. He thought she was pretty and smart. And she was so kind to him. Plus, everyone around camp seemed to love her.
Ben’s very apparent interest was much to the chagrin of Luke. He had spent the first couple days of his breakup pretending like everything was alright. An act that proved very unpopular with the rest of camp. But the lonely nights got to him and his siblings could hear quiet sobs and sniffles in the night. But almost as soon as he started showing remorse, this new guy showed up and all of a sudden there was a buzz around camp about the new guy who would replace him.
The excited gossip about his ex and the new boy had literally started from day one. He saw them going through the camp tour a few times that day. After all, Camp Half-Blood is big. And Luke just happens to have to go to the same areas his ex does at the same time. But every time he spotted them he couldn’t help but glare at the new Athena cabin member. Every time he sent her a smile or made her laugh, Luke curled his fist impossibly tighter. His fists became almost perpetually white as the blossoming romance grew over time.
As for Y/N, she was finally healing. Not happy, but healing and Ben was helping with that as time went on and they got closer. He was perfect. Sweet, smart, a gentleman. But he wasn’t Luke.
They spent many nights getting to know each other. He knew her birthday, all her favorites, and made an effort with all her friends. Hell he even made an effort with Luke—an effort the Hermes boy did not appreciate—because he knew Luke was still important to Y/N. When he asked her out he did so with a pot of her favorite flowers which he had Argus help him get.
He knocked on the door of the Demeter cabin which was opened by Katie. “Hey Katie,” Ben greeted Y/N’s favorite younger sister. “Is Y/N home?”
“Yeah, she is.” The young girl called for her and soon enough the object of Ben’s affection was at the door.
“Hey Ben. What’s up?” she asked.
“I just wanted to give you this,” he smiled, handing her the beautifully potted flower. “I know I’m no demigod child of the plant goddess but…”
“No it’s great,” she smiled at him. But her heart was sinking. It wasn’t because of the gift, the gift was perfect actually. But if Luke had been the one to give it to her, her heart would be soaring. “Thank you.”
“And I just wanted to ask you if you uh- wanted to have dinner with me tonight?” he nervously asked.
“Oh well I’d love to,” she smiled. “But uh we can’t table hop at dinner. It’s against the rules,” she laughed nervously, hoping that would be enough to dissuade him.
“That’s not a problem. I got permission from Chiron to let us have dinner together. We just have to be out of the dining pavilion before everyone else gets there at 7.”
Dread kept filling her. She was in too deep now. And he had asked Chiron, she couldn’t just shoot him down. “Well then I’ll see you at 6 then?”
The biggest smile broke over his face. “See you then.”
The entire time at dinner, Y/N wanted to cry. This is not what she wanted. Ben was not what she wanted. But she kept forcing a happy face, hoping that if she could convince Ben she liked him too, she could convince herself.
When he brought her out to the meadow and kissed her, she wanted to dig herself into the ground and die. It was a sweet kiss but it just felt wrong… like there was no chemistry or passion between them.
She was so frustrated with herself. As she looked into Ben’s eyes she wondered why she couldn’t just love him back. Here was this incredibly caring guy who was more than willing to give her everything she was asking for but she just didn’t feel anything.
~~
But I miss screaming and fighting and kissing in the rain
For Luke, seeing Y/N with Ben made a weird dread fill his chest. To him it wasn’t fair that she just got to move on when she was the one that broke up with him. She should be begging for him back right now. And he hated to admit it but he’d take her back in a heartbeat right now.
So when he found her crying on the beach late one night, he didn’t know what to think. But she was still all he had so he approached. “Hey,” he tried to catch her attention gently.
She looked up at him, quickly wiping the tears from her eyes. “Oh, hey Luke,” she tried to play off her tears. “What are you doing here?”
“Came here to think and then I saw you. Are you okay?”
“Yeah, I'm fine.” She gave a strained smile that did nothing to hide the puffiness of her eyes or blotchy skin.
It pained Luke to see her like this. Even more so when he knew he was the cause of her tears at one point. “Are you sure?” he asked, sitting next to her but maintaining her space. “We can talk. I promise it’ll just be a friendly conversation.”
She let out the weakest laugh he had ever heard. “I’m fine. You wouldn’t wanna hear about it anyway,” she dismissed even though Luke was the only person she wanted to talk to. He was the only person who could maybe possibly understand. Her siblings were too young and the only other camper their age was Ben.
“Try me,” Luke challenged, scooting the slightest bit closer.
She looked at him for a while before reluctantly speaking. “It’s Ben. I just… he’s such a great guy. He’s nice, and sweet, and such a gentleman but he’s just not…”
“Just not what?” Luke asked a little eagerly. From a distance she had looked blissfully happy and everyone spoke about how well Ben treated her. But hearing that his ex-girlfriend had a problem with the guy she was dating? Luke was a little too eager to hear about that.
“He’s not you!” She finally admitted. She didn’t miss the way Luke seemed to brighten. “He does nice things for me and he’s so sweet and into me but I’m just feeling nothing at all. It’s like there’s no passion between us.”
“Well you were right. We were toxic but we also had a lot of passion,” Luke tried to lighten the mood. “Look, I don’t mean to sweep in on your most vulnerable moment but I’ve been thinking since the breakup and this is the first time you’ve even looked at me so. I know I treated you like shit and was so possessive. I’m ready to actually commit to you and be your boyfriend instead of just slipping into it because we were already making out when we were younger. I want to give you everything the old me couldn’t or wouldn’t because watching you slip through my fingers was the most painful thing I've ever done. Besides, with more effort I think we could make this work because you don’t fight like we did unless you’re in love. People who don’t love each other just let it fade. They don’t fight.”
She looked like she was in severe pain. “Gods, why couldn’t you have said this three months ago?” Her lips were immediately on his. Luke was a little taken aback but kissed her back, glad to have her in his arms once again.
A few moments later they were promising each other eternity with all the passion in the world. “Forever?” he asked through labored breaths, his fingers intertwined with her hair.
“Forever,” she agreed.
The next day Luke was waiting anxiously in the Hermes cabin. Y/N was ending things with Ben but he was still nervous. What if she decided she wanted to stick with the safer option? He didn’t think he’d be able to handle it if she went back to him after last night.
His thoughts were only quieted when the door opened and he found her standing there. He stood up anxiously but hesitated, still slightly wary that she’d tell him she changed her mind. But she walked towards him, immediately falling into his arms. “Forever?” he asked.
“Forever,” she agreed.
Relieved, Luke pressed a kiss to the top of her head. “Forever,” he confirmed for himself.

My thoughts on the lives and deaths of the House of Usher
Prospero - I almost feel sorry for Perry. His ideas weren't bad and unlike his siblings he was doing them himself. I also found it hilarious when he tried to fuck his brother wife. If nothing else that kid had confidence. Fredrick was dick to both of them anyway and she deserved to have fun. If you remove the blackmail and acid rain and that would have been one hell of a party. If Perry hadn't been planning to blackmail everyone he wouldn't have deserved his death. But his death was EXQUISITE. Everything about that scene was so perfect I can't find words to describe it. Everyone involved in creating that scene deserves an award
Camille - We actually got to know very little about her. Her whole story was about finding dirty on the others and managing crisis for the family. Even her death isn't shown. I think the point was that she never got to just be. She lived and died for others but never connected with anyone.
Napoleon - Leo was to me the closest to likable of any of the siblings. He clearly loved them and that may have been the only love he way capable of. He certainly didn't love his boyfriend or anyone he had/was having sex with. He treated people like objects. His death is tricky to categorize. On one side what he did to Pluto was horrifying and anyone who treats animals that way deserves the same fate. But he never actually did any of those things. It was all hallucinations and illusions first from drugs then Verna. He was stressed and grieving and kept finding dead animals everywhere. I would be ready to smash walls in that situation too. He definitely didn't need to be a pet owner but I think his death should have been less torturous
Victorine - I wrote this one last because it was my favorite Poe story growing up and she played it beautifully. That slow steady decent into madness I should have hated this character most of all. Those poor chimps and who knows what other innocent creatures she killed with experiments she knew wouldn't work. Even with her father constantly pushing for progress she should have stopped. Verna gave her so many chances, she wasn't even there when Vic killed her girlfriend or herself. She could have stopped at any point. Yes she still would have died but it could have been painless and less tragic. T'Nia Miller's performance was so good that I actually felt sad for her in that final scene. At least until I thought of the chimps again.
Tamerlane - Knock off Madeleine. Where her sisters hid and guarded their personalities she never had one. Her entire existence was for appearances (hence the ridiculous amount of mirrors). Even when she tries to show emotion she couldn't look at the person she was talking to. Her death might have seemed the most passive but it was shoot beautifully. It was also the only thing she actively accomplished on her own.
Fredrick - Fuck you Frodrick. When his siblings said he was just like their father they didn't even realize how right they were. He might have been worse. His poor wife deserved so much better. I genuinely enjoyed watching the pendulum swinging towards him as he was paralyzed beneath it. I only wish there was more than one so he could feel more pain. He was so much a piece of shit Verna enjoyed killing him. Everyone else got warnings, chances to walk away and have peaceful deaths But this asshole, she knew he didn't deserve one. He got exactly what he deserved. Lying in a puddle of his own piss waiting to die. Seriously fuck that guy
Lenore - This sweet brave girl was the only good the Ushers ever brought into the world. So pure and good even Verna mourned having to take her. I loved that she got to know how much good she put into the world and how many lives she saved. Even knowing from the beginning she would die, it was still heartbreaking to see. At least it was painless and instant
Madeleine - She was cold and selfish but she was also usually right. I respect that even when making a deal with the devil she still had standards. She at least made sure not to have children incase. There is a bit of irony in the fact she didn't want to spend her life serving a man then chaining her destiny to her brother. Gave of serious twincest vibes that I am glad where not explored. Her death seemed a fair balance for her past and mirroring her mother's death brought everything full circle. She fell with the house of Usher. Also sapphire is a good color for her.
Roderick - Without doubt the worst of them all. He knowingly killed millions with his drug. He destroyed any shred of humanity in his children. Possibly worst of all, he knew the damage he was causing and who would have to pay for it but he didn't even blink. Being mentally tortured by his dead children was not enough. He deserved the worst death of all. I understand the poetry of him dying the same way his father did but I wish he suffered more.

In conversation with Holly Black - The Stolen Heir Tour 2023
PLEASE do not repost anywhere without due credits.
It was so amazing finally meeting Holly in person (and gush about how much I love Cardan and Jude and Cardan. And yes also bargain with her about writing Cardan POV books. At least she listened to me intently and said “We will see about it some day!” 👀)
Here are a few things she answered at tonight’s event:
- Her favourite character is Jude.
- Their favourite Starbucks drinks as per her: Jude ‘s will be Frappuccino, Cardan’s is Espresso (and she added an obviously), Oak’s will be matcha green tea latte.
- There will be another series in Elfhame/Faerie after she finished Book of Night sequel, TSH 2 and one more book. She said we will know if there will be more Faerie books, and on whom, by the end of TSH 2.
- Cardan had more siblings who got cut out last minute because she felt his family was too big.
- Qon serpent track was last minute, all she knew was that Cardan had to be in danger and separated from Jude in some way.
- The above point is because she always intended Jude to figure out how to be Queen on her own and needed Cardan away for that. Because Jude’s character arc had to include her having all the power she always craved and still choosing family and love over it.
- Holly likes hooves 💀
- She wanted to draw parallels between Suren and Jude and their choices.
- She will not write about what Jude Cardan were up to in the years between QoN and TSH because she doesn’t know it herself yet.
- Somebody actually asked if Jude Jude Jude letter had cum splatters OMFG. She clarified that no, they are indeed ink stains 💀
- One thing about Cardan that she feels is the most over looked is the fact that people ATE the snake in the end of Qon lmaooo. She cracked up here 😭💀
- She always wanted to write a character with a tail and this was part of Cardan’s characterization since the beginning.
- Her choice of Cardan in live action - she just wants a good actor that’s it lol
- She wouldn’t write a book on Madoc Eva because it’s too tragic and devastating, though maybe she might add in bits in some other story
- She doesn’t know how to write adult Cardan lmfao 💀 but she said she will figure it out 👀 (internally screamed here because WHAT does this mean??) She also said the sex scenes were short and her editor asked her to make them longer 😭🤣 (she said she does understand what we’re asking lmaoo)
- She never reads her fan fiction because she would feel tempted to change what’s in her mind
Question I asked: Her side characters are as interesting as main ones. Will we see Court of Shadows again? (Round about way of asking more about Jurdan lol)
Holly’s answer: TSH was a road trip book so it was set away from Elfhame and we didn’t meet most of the old characters. But we’ll be closer (or in *she winks*) Elfhame in the next one and we will see many of the old characters (shrugs)

California, 1935
You clutched the wall as you stumbled into an alley, coughing loudly into your bloodied handkerchief.
You leaned against the wall, sliding down until you were seated on the grimey alley floor. You pulled the cloth from your lips, hand shaking to see it splattered with the evidence of your impending doom.
Tears rolled down your cheeks as you recalled the fall of each and every member of your family to the same tragic fate.
The Depression had robbed your father of his job, and then your family of its home, forcing you to live a life on the cold California streets, begging for whatever scraps the wealthy were willing to give.
The spread of tuberculosis had gripped the homeless population in your town, and your family had not been immune.
You’d cradled your mother as she’d sobbed for your father. You’d mothered your siblings when she had left you too. Now you were the only one left, and it didn’t look like you’d be here much longer.
You withdrew into yourself, attempting to quiet the world around you, resigned to the conclusion that you’d be rid of it soon.
Which is why you didn’t hear footsteps approaching until a tall gentleman appeared at your side.
He was dressed in a form fitting grey suit paired with black dress shoes. His brown hair was slicked back in typical fashion, and perched on the bridge of his nose were a pair of wire rimmed glasses.
You couldn’t help but think he looked like the kind of man you’d meet on Wall Street, and not in this damp alley where forgotten youths like yourself came to die.
You coughed into the handkerchief again, staining it further. “Please,” you croaked, “are you a doctor? Can you help me?”
The man crouched down to examine your face. You gasped at his disregard for his fine clothing, and his immediate interest in you.
He shot you a soft smile, “I am not a doctor,” he told you, “but I can help you.”
He took your hand in his, smiling wider at your shocked expression, “what if I told you that I could do more than heal you? What if I could restore your life and then some? Would you want that?” He whispered, seemingly staring into your soul as he asked.
A tear slipped down your cheek as you returned his gaze, “I’m not ready to die,” you strained, “I’m so scared. Please don’t let me die, not like this.” You begged, searching his eyes for assurance that he wasn’t just toying with you.
The man sighed, “ok,” he breathed, “I’ll give you what you want.”
His eyes scanned over your broken body, slumped against the alley wall, and he cringed.
“I am truly sorry that there isn’t enough time to do this the gentle way,” he raised his hand to stroke your cheek, “I hope you can forgive me.”
As he finished speaking, his face shifted. His once brown eyes flashed a bright yellow. His teeth elongated into sharp fangs. The man had vanished, and before you crouched a monster.
You would have screamed if you’d had anything left in your lungs, but unfortunately the sands in your hourglass were almost up.
The monster lunged for your neck and bit down, draining the remaining life force from your body. As you faded into blackness, you scolded yourself for trusting this wolf in sheep’s clothing. You knew your error in judgment would be your last.
The monster pulled away from your neck, and you watched with blurred vision as he used his menacing fangs to tear into his wrist.
He brought his wrist to your lips, and wrapped a hand around the back of your head to pull you closer.
You fought to stay conscious as the monster’s blood dripped onto your tongue, but against your will, your eyes fluttered shut and your vision faded to black.

As much as I would have loved for Kenjaku and Yuji to have more interactions, another part of me now actually liked the little interaction they had.
It's just as tragic, if not more tragic. But also it goes with the idea that Yuji doesn't know his parents or more of his family.
The most he knows now probably is that Choso and the Death Paintings are his (half) siblings and Kenjaku had something to do with it (Choso probably told him so).
Yuji learning about Choso being his brother is a good thing for him. The time he did act unsatisfied with the idea was back in Shibuya. After that, we seen their relationship got better. He had Choso at his side since then.
Now what good would it do if Yuji learned the truth about how he's related Kenjaku and Sukuna? In fact, would he even care?
Remember when Wasuke tried to tell him about his parents? Didn't care to hear that.
When Junpei asked about his parents? Didn't remember little to nothing about his dad and nothing at all about his mom. But he didn't seem entirely brokenhearted. He seemed... like he accepted it, moved past that.
The thing with Yuji is... if Sukuna decides to throw it in their face that they're related, I doubt Yuji would break down in tears and give up fighting.
That's not Yuji.
Two reactions I feel like Yuji would give.
Either he will be furious or he'll brush it off as he normally does with Sukuna's antics.
With him being furious, it will just give him more reason to hate Sukuna and kill him. Family be damned. We seen Yuji angry. Look, Sukuna already got hit with back to back Black Flashes. I don't think he wants Yuji angry. Nuh uh. Sukuna don't do that.
Honestly though... I also feel like Sukuna doesn't give a damn about telling Yuji.
Anyways!
Same with Kenjaku. I don't think Yuji would actually care to know Kenjaku is his mother (by host). Again, what good would it do for him?
I also feel like he may have figured it out by now. Yuji ain't all that dumb now. I said it before but I do think he may have caught on by now or at least will later. And I don't think he would be fazed.
Would he think it would be cruel that Kenjaku have done such things? Yes! Would he not like the fact he was created by Kenjaku to be Sukuna's vessel and be related to those two? Also, yes. He'd hate that idea.
But Yuji just doesn't come off as someone who dwells on the past like that, let alone would be like "oh, woe is me, my family is so messed up" and cry waterfalls.
He's just more of a "What's done is done and I'll do what I can to make the best of it" person to me. He accepts, he learns and does what he can to make the most of out a bad situation.
Him knowing he's related to Kenjaku and Sukuna in some way will not change the fact that they're both evil and done terrible things or Yuji's feelings.
Sometimes I feel like the reason we don't know much about Yuji or Sukuna or others for the Heian Era is for the purpose of not needing to.
Yes, knowing about the past can help. But sometimes knowing, it doesn't have a purpose other than having extra information.
Maybe not knowing much about Sukuna is a way of saying "let's leave the past in the past and move on". Sukuna was not meant to be in the present times. When he's finally put to rest, that should be it for him.
It's why some of the characters like the Higher-Ups and the Zenin clan sucks and came to a downfall. Part of their awful behavior was they were more traditional and didn't care to adapt to the new changes.
That's going to be the case for Sukuna. Yuji is the present and future. Sukuna is the past. Yuji is going to be that new age that rises and push Sukuna right into the dirt where he belong.
Again, them being related and Yuji knowing ain't going to change the fact that Yuji wants Sukuna dead and he's going to kill him. So what would be the point of knowing?

Lack of Faith (Eddie Munson)
Tumblr media
Summary: Eddie Munson. Dungeon Master, Rock Star Wannabe, King of the Freaks and the Nerds. Can you believe that he doesn't like Star Wars?
Characters: Eddie Munson, Corroded Coffin, Wayne Munson, Dustin Henderson, Mike Wheeler, Lucas Sinclair
Themes/Warnings: Our nerdy boy being a nerd, and his nerdlings making him worse, Star Wars references, might borrow some dialogue from the movie Fanboys (2009), boys will be boys, angst-ish, hurt/comfort-ish?, friendship, reference to some FOI characters, don't worry about it.
Note: This has been a thought that's lingered in my mind for quite some time as I am a HUGE Star Wars fan. And a little talk with @br0ck-eddie today (an unrelated topic) brought this back to the forefront of my mind. Tagging @fracturedarkness and @courtingchaos for no reason other than "you'll like it."
This is not an xReader fic. This is about Eddie and Star Wars and if you nerf-herders can't accept that, you can get the kriff out of here. IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT JIZZ IS, KEEP FUCKING MOVING NORMIE.
You can find my masterlist here.
Please do not interact if you are not 18+.
Enjoy!
---
It was a normal lunch period.
Well, as normal as it could be when you sat at Hellfire Club's table in the cafeteria. There was no talk of homework, or dates, or crushes.
Instead Gareth was tapping a beat against the edge of the table with two unsharpened No.2 pencils, Dave was working on a new character sheet with Eddie after he suffered a tragic and untimely death during their last session, and the freshman were arguing about something down at their end of the table.
Their heads were bent together, occasionally Mike would throw his head back and groan, and then get right back to his furious whispers. And although Eddie, gracious and fearless leader that he was, was typically grateful that they kept their mindless drivel to themselves, today he was curious.
He could hear little tidbits of their conversation and they intrigued him enough:
"...they still kissed."
"That was to make Han jealous."
"That was the second time, what about the first time?"
"The first time they were about to die!" Dustin got to his feet now, staring at Mike with wide, incredulous eyes. "They were swinging ten-thousand feet in the air!"
"Hey!" Eddie shouted at them now, as kids at the surrounding tables started to stare and laugh. And usually, yes, he'd flip them off, tell them to mind their own business. Pull the whole freak card to get them to look away. The freshman needed to learn when to not place a target on their own backs; he hopefully wouldn't be here to protect them forever. "Shut up! Sit down!"
The three boys immediately clamped their mouths shut and Dustin sunk back into his seat as the older boys snickered.
"What's so important that you're about to start throwing punches over there?" Eddie questioned. The boys seemingly made themselves smaller and Eddie had to sigh. "Come on, I'm not gonna bite your heads off."
The entirety of Hellfire Club shot a skeptical look at him and his rolled his eyes.
"M-maybe you can help us," Mike suggested. "We're in the middle of a debate."
"A debate? What kind of debate?"
"One of the utmost importance," Dustin said desperately. "Because Mike is insane."
"I am not! You're the one who's lost it. 'There's something innate.' Did we even watch the same movie?"
The boys all started to bicker again, louder this time, and Eddie needed to whistle to get them to quit it.
"See that's not very helpful. Why don't you tell me what movie, and what the problem is, and I can offer final and absolute judgement."
"Because you're right all the time," Jeff muttered under his breath to Gareth, causing Eddie to toss an eraser at him good-naturedly.
"Star Wars," the three freshman all answered simultaneously, and then they started talking over each other about whether Luke and Leia knew they were siblings when they kissed or if he had a thing for Leia and if Han was really weirded out by it all when he found out.
They were so caught up in their explanation that they didn't notice the members of Corroded Coffin get all tense, or the way that Eddie began to clench his fists and grit his teeth.
Until aforementioned lead guitarist stood up himself and hauled his backpack over his shoulder. They all stared at him, his bandmates with fearful eyes, and the freshman with hopeful ones.
"Easy," Eddie answered with a sardonic smile. "Star Wars is a dumb shit movie and you shouldn't waste your breath arguing over it."
And he walked past his friends just as the bell rang signaling the end of the period.
---
"What do you mean you don't like Star Wars?"
"Drop it Henderson."
"Is it...are you more of a Trek fan? Is that it?"
"It's not--"
"Because it's ok if you are! I like Star Trek too. I got Vulcan ears for Christmas last year and I have the new Klingon dictionary on hold at Waldenbooks. Pretty sure I'm already better at it than Latin."
"Do you not understand the meaning of drop it?" Eddie slammed his locker shut and stared at the younger boy. "I just don't like it. It's...it's--"
"It's a cultural phenomena!" Dustin cut him off. "It's only the most detailed and expansive fictional universes I've ever experienced. Even better than Tolkien."
"That's blasphemy," Eddie scoffed.
"Ok maybe not Tolkien," Dustin conceded, hands held out innocently. "But seriously, it's insane. I thought that you'd be all over it. I was gonna even talk to you about helping me plan a small one-shot for Lucas' birthday set in the Star Wars universe. I would DM!"
Eddie, though annoyed with the topic conversation, fondly pushed the bill of Dustin's hat over his eyes.
"Come on!"
"Listen I'll help you," Eddie promised. "Whatever you wanna cook up for Sinclair's birthday, I'm your guy. I'll even get the guys to come and play if you want a bigger group. Just anything but Star Wars ok?"
He started to walk away but Dustin was hot on his heels, dodging other students left and right to stay in-step with Eddie.
"Why not? Just give me one good reason why you don't like Star Wars, and I'll drop it. Is it because Obi-Wan wasn't secretly Luke's father? Or..." He fumbled over his words, struggling to find a reason that his friend didn't like one of his favorite series. "Or...because Wedge was a better pilot than Luke but somehow Luke was the star of the Rebel Alliance."
"Stop it now."
"Do you not like C-3P0? No one likes C-3P0! Wait...is that your favorite character and you don't like the movie because everyone else hates him?"
Dustin was sure he'd hit the nail on the head and offered explanations and tried to convince Eddie that he was all wrong. And all of it fell on annoyed ears until Eddie, at his wits end, turned and grabbed Dustin by the shoulders. He stopped them dead in their tracks in the middle of the hallway, uncaring of the other students groans and insults as they pushed past.
"I don't like Star Wars," Eddie said through gritted teeth, a sense of finality in his words so the subject could be dropped once and for all. "Because I've never seen the movies. And I don't want to. They're overhyped, and dumb, and just a way to get little idiots like you to spend their money on posters and action figures and life savers."
"Lightsabers," Dustin corrected him, but then backtracked. "Wh--Eddie? What do you mean? You have to have seen them! Ed...Eddie wait!"
The metalhead let him go and the quickly retreated into the crowd leaving Dustin to call after him, confused.
---
Of course, news spread to the other freshman quickly. Dustin was devastated, Lucas was lost, and Mike felt betrayed that his role model--loose definition--hadn't seen the movies that shaped him as a person to this day. Shaped all of them.
Into nerds.
Even Max was surprised to hear that her neighbor hadn't seen it, as she was dragged to the depths of the Wheeler's basement along with the boys to discuss how this all could have happened.
They thought of everything. Body swaps and mind control. A curse! Mike was dead set on Eddie being a die-hard trekkie and, as someone who disliked the Trek himself, got irrationally angry about it.
"I swear he didn't even bat an eye when I told him about the Klingon!" Dustin exclaimed. "I just...I don't know."
"Well have you asked the rest of the geek patrol?" Max questioned, and all the boys turned to stare at her. "If Eddie hates it so much that he doesn't want to talk about it, the others have known him for a lot longer than any of us have. They're bound to know something right?"
"See this?" Dustin snapped his fingers and pointed at her. "This is why we need you in Hellfire. Eddie wouldn't be able to trick us anymore, you'd see right through it."
"Not gonna happen," she deadpanned.
The boys protested her refusal to play DnD with them, but took her advice and ran with it.
For a solid week, they pestered Jeff, Gareth, and Dave. And for a solid week, the older boys refused to budge. They tried everything. Bribes, blackmail, threats.
"You think," Gareth laughed when the boys cornered him outside the locker room before PE. "That I'm gonna tell you anything after you threaten to have Steve Harrington beat me up? That guy might've been a big douchebag few years ago, but I know he's a loser working at Family Video now."
All hope was lost as he was about to head to class. Until Mike spotted someone out of the corner of his eye, leaving the athletics hall for their next class, and he was struck with inspiration. He called out to Gareth.
"What if I can get you one of my sister's bras?"
Gareth skidded to a halt and looked over his shoulder with shock and, surprisingly, intrigue.
"...go on," he nodded.
Thus, a negotiation was made before the coach blew his whistle. And a few days later after school, at the picnic table out in the woods behind the football field, the exchange took place.
"Gimme the goods," Gareth held his hand out for his bounty.
"Story first, bra later," Lucas scoffed at him. "Otherwise what's to stop you from taking it and leaving."
Gareth clenched his hands and then let out a long-suffering sigh.
"At least lemme see what color it is."
The three freshman ducked their heads together to discuss the risks, and then Mike unzipped his backpack and flashed the tiniest peak of pastel purple lace at him.
"Nice," Gareth nodded. "Alright! You better not have anywhere else to go, we're gonna be here for a little while."
"My mom's not coming to get us until 6," Dustin agreed.
Gareth then took the time to weave the tale. One he heard from Jeff, who heard it from some guy named Dougie, who heard it from a girl named Ronnie, who only knew about it because she was there.
"It's his closely kept secret," Gareth explained. "Ronnie was still here when I was a freshman, and she wouldn't say shit about it. Which is why this can never make it back to me."
"We swear," the boys said simultaneously, and all crossed their hearts.
Apparently, Eddie had been all excited for the very first Star Wars movie when it first premiered. He saw the posters for it at the Hawk and babbled on and on about what it might be about. He'd always been a little interested in space, thanks to Star Trek--
"I knew it!" Dustin exclaimed.
"God damn it!" Mike cursed. "He's a Trekkie!"
"Are you gonna let me tell this story?" Gareth hissed.
"Sorry," Lucas apologized and slugged both of his friends in the arm.
--and he thought Star Wars was gonna be the next big thing. He was sure of it. Not only that, it was gonna be his new favorite thing. He was hesitant to ask his dad to buy tickets for the two of them to go and see the movie together. What with money being tight and his dad's unreliable presence. Still, he heard that the local radio station was giving two tickets away and he called and called and called until he won them.
"Wow," Mike was awestruck. "Two tickets for the opening day of Star Wars. Can you imagine? What a lucky son of a bitch."
"Uh," Dustin watched Gareths shifting eyes and pursed lips. "Mike I think you're forgetting something."
"What?"
"He didn't see it, dipshit," Gareth sneered. "Duh. Isn't that the whole point of you guys bothering me with this? Did you forget?"
Eddie, excited for the day, told his dad, Al, two weeks in advance. He and Ronnie had picked up the tickets for the show after school one afternoon, lying to Ronnie's grandma about having detention. And Al Munson, father of the year, promised that he would be around to take Eddie.
"I wouldn't miss it for the world," he said and flashed his charming smile at his young and hopeful son. "We can make a day of it, how's that? You got the tickets, I've got dinner at Benny's afterwards. And you can get a sundae for dessert."
Eddie was over the moon, happy that his dad was finally excited for something that he enjoyed. He couldn't be bothered with Lord of the Rings or Narnia or any of the other stories that Eddie enjoyed, but he was excited for this. Probably because it had Wars in it. But that was ok. Beggars couldn't be choosers.
And then the morning finally came. A Wednesday in May, almost time for summer break. Al was sitting on the couch looking at something in the newspaper and Eddie reminded him about the movie before he left to catch the school bus. Al simply patted him on the head and promised to pick him up at 3 so they'd have plenty of time to get a good seat and watch the previews.
"And then the asshole never showed up," Gareth scoffed and broke all the kids hearts.
They didn't know a whole lot about Eddie's dad; he purposefully said precious little except that he was in jail and "belonged there, good riddance." If a good word was said about anyone in Eddie's family, it was said about his uncle Wayne. And even then it was scarce. Hearing this whole story though instantly put a bad taste in their mouths about the elder Munson.
Gareth continued the story, telling them how Eddie sat at one of the picnic tables for his dad until Ronnie and her grandma offered to drive him to the theater so at least he could see the movie. Ronnie even offered to see it with him. But Eddie refused.
"He was sure that his dad was coming. Waited there for hours. Until the movie had started, and then was over. And then he walked home alone."
"But..." Mike frowned. "But then why didn't he try again? Why didn't he go to see it when Empire came out...or...or Lucas...remember when your dad took us to see Return of the Jedi a couple years ago? And we tried to get him to take us all to the midnight showing of the whole trilogy?"
"Yeah! He told us we were crazy for wanting to sit there for 8 whole hours."
"But he didn't wanna see it," Gareth shook his head. "That's the whole point. His dad pissed him off, and now...he's written it all off. He refuses, because...I guess he doesn't wanna admit how upset he was. I don't even know if he cried! Ronnie never told anyone what happened afterwards. We all just know not to say anything about Star Wars around him."
Gareth got his bounty in the end and left, and the three freshman all sat there, defeated.
"I almost wish he was a trekkie," Mike said sadly.
"My dad's left us and it's still somehow not that bad," Dustin whispered.
"Listen," Lucas straightened his shoulders and looked at his friends. "This...man it really sucks, but we can't just give up. Eddie deserves to know all the ups and downs of Star Wars. He would love it. Probably more than the three of us combined. Hell, even Max thought so!"
The other boys nodded in agreement and sat upright as Lucas got to his feet.
"Are we just gonna sit here and let our friend who always looks out for us miss out on the best thing that he's ever seen just cuz his dad's a big asshole? Or are we gonna look out for him too?"
Mike and Dustin clapped and cheered and whooped.
And then the three of them got out their notebooks and began to scheme.
---
Eddie rang the doorbell of the Wheeler's house and waited silently on the porch, hands fiddling with the small gift and binder in his hands.
9am was too fucking early for a birthday party, in his opinion, but for the kids--for Lucas--and for Dungeons and Dragons...eh...he could stand to lose some sleep on a Saturday.
As long as they were done by 7 so he could go make a few bucks at Matt Donovan's party over on Elm. He'd lose out on sleep, but not cash.
The door opened and a tired-looking Ted Wheeler looked Eddie up and down with a sigh, then waved him in.
"They're all downstairs," he droned. "Snacks and sodas in the kitchen. Karen's gone to the store to get more. We're ordering pizza for lunch and there'll be cake a little later."
"Great," Eddie gave him a stiff nod. "Thanks."
Ted grumbled something about "having enough birthday parties for his own three kids let alone their friends too" and Eddie rolled his eyes.
Asshole.
He kicked off his sneakers in the pile by the stairs to the basement and then shuffled down the steps, eager to join his favorite group of idiots for a day of fantasy escapism.
And he was excited; it had been a while since he'd gotten to play one of his characters and Dustin had put together a fantastic campaign for Lucas.
Only...when Eddie got to the basement, he was in for a shock.
No tables and chairs, no dice, no maps or figures. No binders or books or character sheets. Nothing.
Just his friends all sitting together on and around the couch facing the tv set that had been set up in front of it.
With lightsabers in their hands.
They all cheered when they saw Eddie, Lucas the loudest of all.
Well, not all of them. Jeff, Gareth, and Dave all looked about ready to run. Especially when they saw the scathing look on Eddie's face.
"You're finally here!" Lucas laughed. "You're late.
"Happy Birthday," Eddie deadpanned and threw the gift to him. "What the hell is going on here?"
"What does it look like?" Dustin snarked. "It's Lucas' birthday."
"It was supposed to be Dungeons and Dra--"
"Well, I changed my mind," Lucas said smugly. "I thought...you know what, save it for the summer so we can make it longer than just a one-off campaign. Dustin worked really hard on it after all."
Eddie couldn't deny that. Still he glared at the plastic...toys that the boys all held.
"And you just happened to pick Star Wars?" he asked, arms crossed over his chest as he eyed them all skeptically.
"It's my favorite," Lucas insisted. "Not the first time I've had a Star Wars themed party. First time we're watching the trilogy all the way through though."
"Yeah cuz someone fell asleep last time we tried," Dustin jabbed Mike in the shoulder with his lightsaber pointedly.
"That's why we're starting so early this time," Mike parried with a jab to Dustin's stomach.
"So," Lucas stared Eddie down with challenge in his eyes. "Are you just gonna stand there and ruin my party? Or are you gonna sit down? Because we're never gonna get to Empire by the time the pizza gets here if we don't start soon."
Eddie stared at the hopeful expressions in all of his friends--his little sheeps--faces. Even the ones who were familiar with his feelings about the franchise.
And he weighted his options.
Eddie was a man who abided by the code. He'd gotten burned to many times in life not to. And that code included things like never trust your dad, rich people are assholes, popular girls are bad news. Somewhere in that list though, between always change your underwear when you think they're still clean and shake the can of soda before you hand it to your friends was never watch Star Wars.
It'd been that way for years.
But since the start of the school year, since Eddie had met these three kids...he'd started changing his code.
Steve Harrington wasn't an asshole. Well he used to be, but he proved that he could change.
Not all popular girls were bad news. Nancy was helping him work towards a better grade in biology and the student council president had slipped her number into Eddie's locker the other day.
And while there might be things that would never change--his father wasn't trustworthy, end of story--he figured...for his friends he might be able to bend some of his self-imposed rules.
Eddie sighed and looked at television screen with the words A Long Time Ago in a Galaxy Far, Far Away... frozen, and he felt a little pang in his heart.
And if he could do things like that for his friends...
His inner 10-year old self was sitting at that picnic table still, waiting for the van to pull into the parking lot. Only this time, he wasn't left high and dry. This time a much older Eddie drove up and popped open the van doors for little Eddie to hop in. They could finally fulfill this dream together.
...he certainly could do things like that for himself.
"Alright," he closed the distance and pushed his way through his friends so he could plop front and center on the floor in front of the television. He tried to keep the sour attitude, but as a blue plastic lightsaber was pressed into his hands, he couldn't help but crack a smile. "Let's see what all the hype is about."
The group cheered and Gareth pressed play on the remote.
And as the swell of music began and STAR WARS flashed on the screen, Eddie said aloud...
"Hey guys, what if it sucks?"

what really frustrates me that Vivzepop had these characters (the hazbin hotel cast) for YEARS and never really bothered to actually explain their backgrounds besides little info facts
we know Alastor is a radio host who also a cannibal serial killer but what was his life before that
we know angel and his siblings was in the mafia and angel did drugs but what was the reason for him to be a drag queen besides being a closet gay men
we know husk likes to gamble and was a alcoholic…and that’s really it unless there’s more to his character
we know niftty was a housewife that was obsessed with boys and that’s all we got
we know vaggie was a prostitute that got killed by a guy
AND PEOPLE WAIT FOUR YEARS TO KNOW MORE ABOUT THESE CHARACTERS AND GOT NOTHING 😭😭😭
btw love your blog
TYSM!! Please enjoy a fat nuggets while I go crazy again!
Tumblr media
So I’m neurodivergent we know this yes yes Rai you’ve mentioned it at least 4 times this week. Okay good. I am NUTS about specifics. Like. Like this nuts
(This is my collection of lore and data from every piece of Alice in Wonderland media I can get my hands on)
So I must say, not knowing jackshit about these characters backstories is driving me CRAZY.
I cannot believe I have to be like “I hope we learn more about the main cast after 4 years” because I don’t even know if Vivzie is going to touch on it in S2 and thats the only season we have guaranteed so like oh well!
For Alastor I am genuinely shocked we don’t know that much about him but then again they did allude to doing more with him in Season 2 so for that I guess we shall wait and see. For Angel I literally have no idea. My only headcanon I have about his living time is when he was 6 he hated vermicelli because it means “little worms” and he thought that was gross. For the drag thing. We haven’t even seen this guy in drag in the actual show yet and I am frankly pissed but idk where they’d fit that in with what we got so like okay I guess but as for his reasoning I think he either just liked it or yeah its just cause he was a closeted gay man. Husk I again have no clue. We know he was an overlord and then made a contract but that is literally it. I like Husk as a character he seems like a very sweet guy sometimes, but again, Idk anything about him. Nifty is just. Kinda there? Not that every character needs a tragic backstory but like im curious why is she like that. I didn’t even know that shit about Vaggie until I got this ask but that makes me wonder/worry if we’re going to see something in relation to that in the same way we did episode 4. HOPEFULLY not. At least we got the Vaggie angel lore but thats basically it?
I hope for so much in S2 but mostly just give us some fucking context dude. Not even the avid watchers know whats going on and I’m just some dude pirating shit so I sure as hell don’t either 😭
(I REALLY NEED TO GET BETTER AT TAGGING MILDLY.)

Sweet Reader // J. Todd x gn!reader
Requested? Yes!
Warnings: mention of a gun
Summary: Jason met you on a discord a while ago. You became fast friends.
Tumblr media
“Will you come with me, sweet Reader? I thank you. Give me your hand.”**
His ribs ached.
Jason cracked his eyes open to the sound of frantic buzzing on his nightstand and the sound of crashing downstairs. He stared at the ceiling above him as the frantic shouts of Tim echoed through the halls of the Manor, followed quickly with the cackles of Stephanie and Duke. Normally, he would be waking up at noon to peaceful silence in his apartment but a broken rib during patrol meant Alfred guilted him into staying for the night.
Hey, if it meant he got some of Alfred’s french toast, who was he to refuse?
His phone buzzed again and Jason snatched it off the nightstand. He winced as the bright light of the screen clashed against his eyes but he blinked away the irritation and flipped his phone over so he could read the discord notifications piling up on his screen. He must have forgotten to turn his do not disturb on when he had dragged his ass upstairs and collapsed into the queen-sized mattress Alfred kept set up for him.
You motherfucker. Why on earth did you tell me to watch this movie?
Got me kicking my feet and shit.
THE HAND FLEX. THE REPRESSION. IM SCREAMING.
oh my god oh my god he’s so flustered
YOU HAVE BEWITCHED ME, BODY AND SOUL IM SOBBING
You need to wake up and witness my meltdown
Jason grinned at the wall of text you had sent and fired off a quick response. Why the fuck are you watching Pride & Prejudice 2005 cinematic masterpiece at 10am?
Your username, “Maid Marian”, popped up in the lower left hand corner. He watched that familiar name as you typed and he forgot the ache in his ribs for just one moment.
Because I had to be up at 4 to open. Because we exist in a capitalistic society that expects pretty people to go to work in order to make money.
His reply was short, but he knew you would laugh. Tragic.
Before he could read your next reply, the door to his room flung open and Dick launched himself next to Jason on the bed. His older brother made a big fuss last night about needing to get back to Bludhaven, but the second Jason agreed to stay the night, Dick was practically hauling ass upstairs to his own room. Sap.
“Whatcha smiling at, little wing?”
“A picture of you with that god awful mullet.”
Dick let out a dignified sniff. “I know it hurts having the worst fashion in the family, Jay, but that doesn’t mean you need to be rude about it. Now, c’mon, Alfred’s almost done cooking and we still have to wake up Cass.”
At the sound of one of his favorite siblings' names, Jason was up and out of bed. He shoved his phone in his pocket, reassured that you would be there when he had a chance to look at it next.
You and Jason met on a random literature discord that he had joined on a whim. He was looking for recommendations and ended up finding you arguing with some guy about the need for representative media in one of the channels. Your tentative friendship blossomed into a texting everyday kind of thing.
You knew more about him than most people. You knew his favorite color, his go to comfort food, what times he usually wakes up from nightmares. He knew about your pets, your dreams, and how you were a monster for dog earing your books if you couldn’t find a bookmark.
For six months, the two of you had been consistently chatting whenever you had a chance. Jason wasn’t one for connections and friendship, but he would, under extreme duress, admit that you were his friend.
You were exhausted.
Your shift at the coffee shop had been a long one thanks to your co-worker calling out sick and your boss asking you to stay. You were tired, cold, and your feet ached but the walk to your apartment was only five more minutes. Your phone buzzed with an incoming message and you smiled as you opened it.
What are you up to tonight?
You shot back a quick reply. Walking home from work rn and then probably reading. Hbu?
His name, “Robin Hood”, popped up before disappearing. You stuffed your phone back in your pocket, assuming he was busy. Gotham was especially cold in the winter and you just wanted to get home and sink into the warmth of your apartment with some soup and a good book.
So the guy emerging from the alleyway your were passing by and pointing a gun at you was really ruining the vibe. You immediately stumbled back, your feet slipping on the icy pavement of the sidewalk and sending you on your ass. The guy couldn’t even open his mouth to demand your wallet when a fist to the jaw sent him sprawling into a snow drift.
“Dude, c’mon. Eat the rich, not your neighbors,” a gruff, modulated voice snapped. “Fuckin’ pathetic.”
The infamous Red Hood zip tied the guy's hands to a stop sign and strapped a blinking red light on his forehead. His helmet turned in your direction and he shrugged.
“Cops are on their way to pick him up. You okay?”
“Yeah.” You slowly started to pick yourself up when a gloved hand curled around your upper arm and helped you to your feet. “Yeah, I think I’m good.”
“Good, good. Alright.”
“Thanks.”
The vigilante nodded and jerked a thumb over his shoulder. “Well, duty calls. Stay safe out there.”
“You too, Hood.”
He fired a grapple gun and disappeared onto a rooftop, leaving you to finish out the remainder of your walk. The second you started walking again, your phone buzzed again. You glanced down at the discord message and sighed.
Nothing much. Might watch some Trixie and Katya.
At least one of you was having a normal night.
“Well, I’m just saying. The writing might be good but the characters are flat and boring,” your voice came through the speakers of Jason’s laptop. He chuckled, half of his attention on you and half on the fajitas he was preparing on the stove.
The two of you didn’t have video on, just voice, as you both cooked dinner in your respective apartments. He didn’t want you to see him and immediately clock him as Bruce Wayne’s son. He didn’t want your friendship tainted by the expectation of the world and his “miraculous return from the grave” or whatever bullshit Bruce fed to the media.
“Tell me how you really feel,” he drawled. You laughed, soft and light and it struck a chord in his chest.
“What are your plans tonight?” he asked as he plated his fajitas on a few tortillas. He could hear the clinking of dishes colliding against one another on your line and for a brief moment, he wondered what it would be like to rest in the warmth of your kitchen and be physically at your side, cooking with you.
“A shit ton of snow is rolling in,” you explained. “Two feet or something. So it’s just me, a few books, some fuzzy blankets, and maybe watch Ella Enchanted for the six millionth time. What about you?”
“We’re getting some snow here too. I’m probably just staying in and staying warm,” he lied. He would be out patrolling, no matter how cold. Maybe he could yank a beanie over his helmet.
“Ugh, I wish I could do that tomorrow. I have the opening shift and my boss is all ‘This is Gotham! If I closed for every time it snowed, we would never be open in the winter!’”
Jason paused, his hand hovering over his dinner. “Wait, you live in Gotham?”
“Yeah, have I never mentioned that? I moved here a few years ago.”
“No shit! I’m a Gothamite, born and raised.”
You were quiet for a moment and he was afraid that he scared you off somehow. But then you asked him softly, “if you’re free tomorrow and don’t mind venturing out in the cold, you should swing by the coffee shop.”
Jason exhaled, his breath visible in the frigid air. He shoved his hands in the pockets of his leather jacket and leaned against his bike. For a vigilante, he was being a mega fucking wimp right now. He just needed to get his shit together and go inside.
The warm lights of the coffee shop bathed the sidewalk with a golden glow and welcomed weary travelers out of the cold. There were only two patrons currently, a couple by the looks of it. They were seated in the far corner with whipped cream coated smiles.
One employee stood behind the counter and he realized with a start that it was the same person he had saved from a mugging a few days ago. Balsam leaves framed the windows for holiday decorations and the snow clinging to the edges of the windows made you a truly magical sight.
Jason inhaled deeply and stepped towards the door.
Maid Marian, it’s time I present you my honor as an outlaw.*

Okay, okay, okay, I have a request and just to be clear I entirely blame that gif of Rick laying in bed for giving me ideas 👀
So, Reader is Maggie's sibling, and has had feelings for Rick for a while, which he's completely oblivious to. They stop by Rick's house in Alexandria early one morning and find him in bed (looking like that yum) and decides to act on it. Rick's about to get up but Reader gently pushes back onto the bed and climbs on top of him, Rick is completely got off guard but is /very/ into this especially when Reader starts getting naked-
Just as things start getting heated though Maggie arrives wondering what the hell is taking them so long, cue Reader and Rick frantically scrambling to act normal and get dressed-
Provoke (18+) || Rick Grimes
Who does not get interesting ideas with that GIF 👉🏼👈🏼💗
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yawning, you lean against the railing behind you and look up at your sister, "I hate the shift in the morning."
Maggie looks from the woods to you, "Everyone knows that, Sweetie. But everyone has to go through it."
Every time you have the morning shift at the gate, you could cry. You hate getting up when it's still pitch black outside, and it's even worse when it's cold as hell, too. The only good thing is that you have today's shift with your sister, so at least it turns out to be something to lift your good mood.
Sighing, you put your head back and grumble, "Who's next after us?"
You count the clouds above your head as Maggie leans the gun against the gate, "Sasha and Michonne."
Because you can't wait to be relieved, you look to Alexandria to watch for your rescue and hesitantly ask, "So what else is on the agenda today?"
You don't even finish the question before you hear Maggie laugh, "Are you asking me now because you don't feel like doing anything at all today, or because you want to know what Rick's up to today?"
Grinning, you look over your shoulder at her, "Both?"
She rolls her eyes and brushes her hair out of her face, "That was obvious, and you don't have to do anything after your shift today."
Now she leans over the railing, "As for Rick, you probably won't get to see him today. Glenn said Rick wants to go out with Daryl, so they won't be back until nightfall."
You bite your lower lip, "But he's still here now?"
Smiling, she shakes her head in disbelief, "I can't believe that you are into him. But yes he will probably still be there, but does it make a difference? You'd never tell him you have a crush on him anyway, even though you know full well he's probably already figured it out, the way you're always ghosting around him."
Where she's right, she's right.
You take every chance to be around him, and he'd really have to have fallen on his head a lot not to notice that you adore him, but you've never dared to say anything.
Actually, it's not that tragic either, except that you keep seeing that you're not the only one interested in your leader and every time he smiles at another, your heart breaks a little.
Your eyes wander over your home and miraculously, you see Michonne and Sasha walking towards you.
Before Maggie even understands what's happening, you're already downstairs yelling, "Let's get out of here. If you want, I'll help you in the garden later, but please let's get out of here."
Slower than you'd like, she comes down to you and looks at you sternly, "I'll take that as a promise, sis."
You grab her arm and couldn't be happier as you walk past Michonne and Sascha and say in a sing song, "Have fun."
Shaking her head, Maggie withdraws her hand from you, "We can probably harvest something later."
Instead of listening to her, you stare at the house you're slowly walking toward and mutter, "I'm going to see Rick for a minute."
Rooted to the spot, Maggie stops, "What?"
You bite your lower lip and turn to her, "I want to ask him if he can bring me some chocolate."
Playfully, you grin at her, "And then I might as well adore him again."
In fact, it gnaws at you that Maggie doesn't trust you to make the first move, and as you think about it, you don't know why you shouldn't just tell Rick. You can't actually make the situation you're in now any worse, and a very small part of you hopes that it's not just one-sided.
Skeptical, she starts moving again and stops for a moment in front of Rick's house, "I'm going to stop by Glenn's for a minute, then I'll come here and we can go out in the backyard. See you in a bit."
You can tell she's anything but convinced by your idea, and she doesn't even know what you really want to do.
The longer you stare at the steps in front of you, the worse the climb seems, but you don't always want to be ridiculed by Maggie and want to take a chance for once in his life. So you take a deep breath, adjust your top, and head inside.
As you close the door behind you, you notice how quiet it is in the house and wonder if Maggie made a mistake and Rick has already left with Daryl.
Crossing your arms, you call out to Rick but get no answer and you turn to the stairs upstairs.
Again you call his name and once at the top you hear his muffled and sleepy reply, "If it's important, just come in."
At first you hesitate, but to be honest, it IS important and you push open the door to the room where you suspect Rick is.
You just glance into the room and stand rooted to the spot.
Actually, you don't even know where to look and your mouth is hanging wide open, which looks anything but attractive and there's probably some drool running right along with it, but you just can't control yourself for a moment.
You never thought that you would see him THAT WAY once in your life. Sometimes you dreamed about it, but in reality it is completely different.
Lying half naked in his bed, he turns to you with a groan so he can rest his head on one arm and mumbles in a sleepy voice, "What's up?"
You close your mouth, only to open it again immediately after and stammer, "I…Uh…"
Like an idiot, you stand in the doorway and can't manage a complete sentence.
In your head you're still working on words you might be able to say when he starts to get up and you shriek almost hysterically, "No, wait."
Totally confused by your violent reaction, he remains half-sitting up in bed and a voice in the back of your head bellows, "Now or never. Now or never."
Hesitantly, you take a step toward him and croak, "Stay right there."
You can literally see the question mark on his face and can totally relate, but with your current vocabulary, maybe actions speak louder than words.
So you stop in front of his bed, praying that your hands aren't as sweaty as they usually are in stressful situations, as you place your small hands on his bare shoulders and push him backwards onto the bed.
In fact, you were expecting more resistance, but he complies surprisingly easily and just frowns, "What is this turning out to be?"
Actually, you're not quite sure yourself what it's going to turn out to be, but you just go with your intuition and sit astride Rick's hip.
Briefly, it flits through your mind that Maggie would never believe you and might not even need to know, before you reach for your top and pull it over your head.
In your bra and pants, you sit on it and look down at Rick.
He could throw you off with ease, but doesn't and instead places his hands loosely on your hips.
"Do I need to understand what's happening right now?" his voice is rough and you close your eyes briefly before looking back into his blue ones: "You like it?"
At your question, he snorts softly, "Do I like it that a woman just sits on me like that and takes her clothes off?"
Uncertainly, you bite your lower lip, "Do you like it that it's me?"
This seems to be the moment Rick understands what this is all about and grips your hip tighter, "This is about you having a crush on me, isn't it?"
You actually figured he knew, but hearing him say it out loud makes you blush again and you look down at his chest to keep from looking him in the eye, "I guess I won't have to say it then."
His hands, now sliding to your thighs, distract you and you barely notice him murmuring, "It was hard to miss."
Your whole body is tense as he slides his hands up again, this time not holding onto your hips.
You forget to breathe.
Light as a feather, his hands rest on the clasp of your bra and he gently pushes your torso down.
You were so determined to be brave, but somewhere between the moment you sat on him and his statement that he knows you have a crush on him, that bravery has gone down the drain and now you're sitting on him more insecurely than ever, not really even knowing what you want to do or what your goal is.
The only thing you are able to do is to support yourself with your hands on his chest to avoid crashing into him.
You finally look him in the face again and are aware of how close his face is to yours as he whispers, "What do you want?"
You can feel his breath on your lips and gather the last of your functioning brain cells and breathe, "You know it."
Tighter than before, he presses you down and your heart stops as he kisses you.
A half-naked Rick kisses you, and it's not a quick smooch. It's a kiss like you've always imagined.
Your hands run over his chest and your fingers graze the scar he received from the gunshot that put him in a coma.
For a long time the kiss remains gentle and almost innocent, but without thinking you shift on his hip and get a muffled moan in response, which he clearly wanted to suppress because he mumbles "Sorry" shortly after.
Hearing that sound from him only turns you on more and you begin to slowly move back and forth on his hips, "Again." That's all you can bring yourself to say, and Rick releases his lips from yours to reach your throat, growling hoarsely, "You sure?"
Groaning, you dig your fingers into his skin, "Yes, please."
Breathing heavily, he pushes you a little lower on his body and you feel his erection pressing against you.
The man has a lot to offer and you are about to ask him to finally take off your bra, when you hear your sister calling for you.
Panicked, you tear yourself away from Rick and you can see his amusement in his eyes, "Your sister."
Hectically, you scramble off of him and hiss, "I know, Mister Obvious."
The faster you try to put your clothes back on, the longer it takes you and just as you're pulling your shirt over your head, you hear Maggie on the stairs, "You're taking forever."
You grab some shirt that's on the dresser and toss it to Rick, "Get dressed."
He looks like he can barely hold back the loud laugh, "Why? You came into the room earlier too when I was barely wearing anything."
Begging, I look at him and he hums softly, "All right."
Rather reluctantly he stands up and pulls his shirt over his head making the boxers look a little better and just in time as Maggie strides through the door, "What's taking so long?"
I hope she doesn't notice as I explain in a high pitched voice, "I was just telling Rick what to bring me."
Apparently he does want to come to my rescue, "Right, she asked for…"
Silence.
He doesn't know what to say because I never told him, so he gestures with his hands, "Well, that thing. You know."
Your mind goes completely blank and it's only when Rick looks at you for help that you call out way too loudly, "Chocolate."
His eyes light up, "Yeah right and I'll bring it to you when I find some."
You mumble quietly, "Thanks," and look at your sister, who frowns at your behavior, but doesn't dwell on it and points with her head toward the stairs, "Come on. You said you were going to help me in the garden."
I nod and want to follow her out of the bedroom, when Rick holds me back by the arm for a moment and whispers softly in my ear, "When I get back tonight, I'll climb through your window. Stay awake, please."

tragic backstory (tm) au) ozpin finally gets to show up merlin as the wizard mentor to a inspiring king who is also a symbol of hope. granted jaune has no real authority since the council does everything nor does he wish to take over but ozpin knows exactly what jaune needs.... no not actual training in the basics of combat to act a a foundation to his greater feats, that's rediculous! no he needs PHENOMENAL ACTING TALENT!!!!!!!
time for everyone's favorite cinnomin role to come back and help jaune decide on a persona and how to play it!
Original Cin-Cin
---------------------------------------------------
Ozpin: How was your mission, Mr. Arc?
Jaune: Uh, great! Really great! Definitely didn't say or do anything wrong.
Ozpin: I'm glad to hear it, since Springtime's current headmaster is a dear friend of mine.
Jaune: O-Oh, really?
Ozpin: Yes. In fact, I was just in contact with him recently, and he said-
Jaune: (On the floor) I'm sorry! I didn't know that the microphone was on!
Ozpin: ...You caved much faster than I thought. Is that really how a king should present himself?
Jaune: Again with the king stuff? (Stands up) Sooner or later, people are going to figure out I'm not a king.
Ozpin: Indeed. Just someone who got extremely lucky and famous.
Jaune: More unlucky...
Ozpin: And infamous. As I recall, that was how you referred to yourself when being introduced.
Jaune: Huh? Oh, yeah. I guess I did do that.
Ozpin: Indeed you did, and it was enough to get people talking. To get people thinking. Everyone now knows who you are, or has at least heard of you.
Jaune: Yeah. And now my family's getting harassed every day and I can't do a thing about it.
Ozpin: Sadly, no. It is one of the many flaws of being famous, and infamous. But the people need leadership, Mr. Arc. As the adage goes, sometimes you have to fake it until you make it.
Jaune: What about after I make it?
Ozpin: Then you'll be on your own, in a way. You'll be in a position where your faking no longer applies, and you'll have friends you can rely on to help you however they can.
Jaune: So I just have to keep pretending I'm someone I'm not? Just this... fake king guy?
Ozpin: Well, if you'd like, I can assign you a... shall we say "outsourced tutor" to help you build your confidence?
Jaune: An outsourced tutor? What do you mean?
---------------------------------------------------
Yang: You sure you don't want to come down and see Cin-Cin?
Blake: I'm sure. From what Jaune's told us, she's still nervous around Faunus, so I'd prefer to not do anything that would upset her while she's visiting.
Yang: Alright. I'll try to record as much as their sibling bonding as I can. Just for you.
Blake: (Smiles) Thank you.
Weiss: Ruby, what do you think? Blue earrings, yes or no?
Ruby: Wow... You're asking for my opinion?!
Weiss: Don't make me regret asking you.
Ruby: No, no! You can trust me! Um, uh, well, uh...
Nora: I dunno why you're so concerned about her. Doesn't she already not like you?
Weiss: Which is exactly why I'm trying to show her my better qualities!
Emerald: But wasn't one of the reasons she doesn't like you is how superficial you are?
Weiss: ...
Weiss: (Crouches in a corner) I just can't win, can I?
Ruby: Ah! B-Bestie!
Ren: Nora, are you upsetting Weiss again?
Nora: Maaaaaybe?
Mercury: Nice goin', Em. Brutal honesty wins again.
Emerald: Was it really that brutal? I was just asking a question.
---------------------------------------------------
Jaune: So it's just the four of us, huh?
Yang: Almost like we're our own team, huh?
Ruby: What would we be called? R-Y-P-J? Rip J? Uh, R-P-Y-J, Rippage? R-J-Y... Uh, what was the other one?
Yang: P.
Pyrrha: ...Were you talking to me?
Yang: Nah, I was answering Ruby. Also, pretty bold of you to assume you'd be the leader, Rubes.
Ruby: Why not? I like being a team leader.
Jaune: That makes one of us. I was already barely scraping by as a team leader, and now I have an even bigger team to take care of.
Yang: He said, already months into his role as super leader of his own super harem team.
Ruby: Yang!
Yang: I'm kidding! ...Mostly.
Jaune: What are you- Oh! There she is! Cin-Cin! Over here!
Cin-Cin: ...Hi, Jaune.
Jaune: Hi.
Ruby: ...So, was the, uh, flight okay?
Cin-Cin: It was fine. Can we hurry up and go to the headmaster?
Jaune: Oh, uh, sure.
Cin-Cin: (Walks ahead)
Jaune: (Following behind)
Yang: Wow, she's...
Ruby: Kinda mean?
Pyrrha: Distant?
Yang: I was going to say, "she's not happy to be here," but I guess those work, too.
---------------------------------------------------
Velvet: (Reading)
Fox: Hey, Velvet?
Velvet: Hm? What's up, Fox?
Fox: Uh, just wondering, but are you and Cardin... y'know?
Velvet: (Blushing) W-What do you mean?
Fox: Well, it's just, you and him are getting along and actually talking to each other, so I was wondering...
Velvet: We're just friends, Fox.
Fox: Oh, okay. Just friends. That's good. Good, good, good.
Velvet: ...Is there something wrong with us being friends?
Fox: No, no, it's great, but, uh...
Velvet: ...Did Yatsuhashi put you up to this?
Fox: ...No?
Velvet: Coco?
Coco: He did, Bun-Bun.
Velvet: (Sighs) Why is he so against me and Cardin being friends?
Coco: You mean besides the obvious?
Velvet: He's changed since his first year!
Coco: Which ended a few months ago.
Velvet: (Pouts)
Coco: (Sighs) Fox, could you give us the room, please? And tell Yats I wanna talk to him, too.
Fox: Sure. (Walks out)
Coco: Velvet, listen, I know you like the guy- And before you start, yes, I know it's more than just being friends, but you can't expect your closest friends, us, forget about all the crap him and his cronies put you through. The teasing, the ear-pulling, (Lowers glasses) the comments?
Velvet: I... I didn't forget, but...
Coco: We're all just worried about you, okay, Bun-Bun?
Velvet: ...Okay. But can I please stop having you all mother hen me?
Coco: Only if you stop making us worry. Oh, and don't forget our trip to the mall coming up this weekend.
Velvet: I won't.
Coco: Good. Now, if you'll excuse me, I've got me a gentle giant to talk to.
---------------------------------------------------
Cin-Cin: Again. Who are you?
Jaune: My name is Jaune Arc.
Cin-Cin: Who are you?
Jaune: My name is Jaune Arc. I am the new king of Vale.
Cin-Cin: Who?
Jaune: My name is Jaune Arc. I am the King of Vale. I am the hero of Mallet.
Cin-Cin: I don't know who you are, but you're not convincing anyone. Who are you?
Jaune: My name- Cin-Cin, do we have to-
Cin-Cin: Stop! If you want people to believe you, you have to believe it yourself. And if you want to believe it yourself, then you have to know what you're talking about. So who are you?
Jaune: Who am I? I'm Jaune Arc, the only son of the Arc family and the older brother of Cinnamon Arc. That's who I am.
Cin-Cin: (Turns away, Facepalms) I can't believe you said that with a straight face.
Jaune: (Thinking) Ugh, I probably sounded lame to her.
Cin-Cin: (Covering her cherry face, Thinking) He sounded so cool and confident!.
Pyrrha: Do you think it's going well?
Weiss: Hard to tell... Then again, this is Jaune we're talking about.
Pyrrha: What do you mean?
Weiss: Ever since we learned about his past, he's been adamant about denying it, and yet everything he does contradicts what he says. And that's not including the specifics on what he does.
Weiss: One evening, he's embarrassing the Schnee Dust Company, and the next day, he's besting the leader of the White Fang, only to then go on to lead an amalgamation of two huntsmen teams with no confidence, and emerge from the first joint mission with a massive internationally observed Grimm kill near single-handedly! Nothing about him makes any sense!
Pyrrha: Well, for as long as I've known Jaune, I've found the easiest answer is the most simple one.
Weiss: And that is?
Pyrrha: He's just Jaune being Jaune.
Weiss: Hm... (Looks to Ruby)
Ruby: You can do it, Jaune! Here, try this! (Pulls out paper crown) It's not real, but it'll get you in the right mind thing!
Weiss: I think... I know what you mean.

mesh with Warriors?
NAN TOLD ME MESH COULD ALSO MEAN WORKING TOGETHER AND I MADE 2000+ WORDS FOR IT💀💀💀
Bonds of the Knights
(Going back to this divider now)
Tumblr media
His limbs shivered when he opened his eyes. He sat up, shaking his head to focus his blurry eyes. There were three lit torches around him. In front of him was a door. Scarlet lines illuminated the door.
Warriors looked around. Where was he?
He remembered the rain taking out their fire and how loud everyone’s groan was. Then the chill he felt when the swirl of purple and black appeared not too far from the camp.
They’d packed up their things and went through the portal in pairs. He hadn’t really chosen to pair with Sky, it mostly just happened.
The last thing he remembered was going through the portal with Sky by his side. He didn’t remember what was on the other side. Warriors decided that this was on the other side.
Where was everyone else? At least, where is Sky?
Warriors called out for Sky, but got no answer. Warriors stood up and walked toward the door. Warriors put his hands on the door and felt a small prick. He squeaked and jumped back.
“Welcome to my perfect game, Sky Child, Pretty Boy,” Warriors recognized that voice. He saw the white clothes with diamonds showing pale skin. “I truly hope you can reach the end before the poison sets in, oh how tragic it would be if you died here!” The Demon Lord’s laugh echoed in his head.
The rumbling of the floor made Warriors turn back. The door was opening on its own. His lips wavered, but he knit his eyebrows and walked forward.
It was brighter here. The room was much more rich in torches, but the chasm chased away any thoughts of security. The way forward was narrow, like it was half of the original path.
Warriors pressed his back against the wall and started forward. He shimmied against the wall, half of his feet hanging over the chasm. His heart beated in his ears as he traveled, feeling the absence of ground under his feet.
When he felt ground under his entire foot, he opened his eyes, realizing that his eyes were closed in the first place.
If he went forward, to the left of the room, there was clearly another door. He, no doubt, had to go through there. If he went through the narrow path, he’d reach a door with a lock on it. In order to get the key, he had to go through the door in front of him.
Warriors let go of the wall, but was only able to take three steps before he froze.
“Sweet mother!” The voice was muffled, but Warriors knew it. He ran back to the wall he was once up against.
Warriors hit the wall with his fist as hard as he could. “Sky?” Warriors’s ear pressed against the wall. “Sky, can you hear me?” He shouted.
“Captain?” He heard the response.
“Yes! It’s me!” A smile found Warriors’s face. “It’s the Captain!” He giggled, relief overcoming him, “Are you alright?”
“I’m fine! Only…the poison…” Warriors cursed more than he thinks he’s ever done.
The poison that Ghirahim put inside them. The poison they had to beat before it set in.
“What does your end look like?” Sky threw Warriors out of his thoughts.
Warriors looked around. “Well, there’s that narrow path to get here,” Sky hummed. “Behind me is a door. To my left is a locked door,” Warriors described, “How about your end?”
“Basically the same, but mirrored,” Sky said. There was a few beats before Sky spoke again. “Captain, I know you’re not accustomed to dungeons, but you got this! We can work through this together. Go through the door behind you. When you get that key, come back to this wall and scream. If I don’t respond with a scream, wait for me and I’ll scream when I get back here, yeah?” Sky’s voice took on that supportive sibling tone that Warriors had always loved hearing from the Skyloftian.
Warriors nodded, then fumbled on his words. “Yeah!”
“Use your items as much as possible. Cheat if you need to. We’re on borrowed time.”
“Yeah!”
“Let’s go!” Warriors heard the footsteps fade in sound. Sky was leaving. Warriors groaned and turned, running to the unlocked door.
Warriors tapped it in various spots, making sure nothing else would prick him. When nothing did, he tried to push open the door. It didn’t budge. He tried to find a handle to pull the door. There was nothing.
Warriors’s last idea is what worked. He shuffled his finger under the door and found a grip. He bent his legs and lifted the stone door. It rumbled as it opened, just as the first one had done. When his body was inside the room, Warriors dropped the door. Behind him, the door bared itself shut.
“The first room, how exciting! What a dungeon this must be!” That mocking voice, the sly demon. “I hate making puzzles, so I didn’t! However, I love watching agony set in. So while your mortal body feels my lovely poison, you can slay some throwaways…or vise versa!”
Warriors unsheathed his sword. In front of him, he saw a chest. However, the chest was behind bars. Surrounding the way to the chest, were closed eyes. Whether that was designed that way or if it was an enemy, he didn’t know.
He creeped forward a few steps before freezing again. On the center of the floor, there was a circular shadow. Just a shadow, but Warriors didn’t know where it was coming from.
Warriors’s took a deep breath, hoping to calm his heart’s rapid beating. He reached back for his shield, but he didn’t feel it.
“Wha-“ then he remembered again. The rain, the brutally pouring rain. He used his scarf to block out what he could. Sky had given away his sailcloth because the Smithy had already been battling a sickness.
Warriors gave Sky his shield.
Warriors cursed, baring his sword alone. He counted to three then dashed for it. He ran under the shadow, but went past it.
Warriors turned around. He hummed with mild distaste. It was almost like a snake…but with three heads. He also guessed that the bones around its or their faces were supposed to be a form of armor or defense.
Its heads moved up and down, like it was trying to tell him some pattern. Then its eyes turned red. Warriors jumped back as it leaped for him, its mouth opening to take a chomp at him.
He used the momentum he gained from jumping back and turned it into a jump attack. When his sword hit one of the heads, the head under it was destroyed.
But when he stepped back, it regrew. The creature’s heads moved up and down once more, as if avoiding being in one line.
Refusing being in one line…?
A monstrous grin found Warriors’s face as the puzzle piece finally decided to fit.
They won’t stay in the same line because, if he gets them all at once, it dies. Nothing a well timed spin attack couldn’t accomplish.
The monster’s eyes turned red and it attacked Warriors with all three of its heads. Warriors threw himself into a spin attack. He heard the creature screech and jumped back.
He only hit two heads.
Warriors cursed, getting closer again so it would attack him.
One, two, two, two, one, two. He never got all three of the heads and with every swing, he wondered just how long this entire dungeon would take.
Three.
The stal monster screeched again, this time, its body dissipated into a purple cloud shaped like a skull. Then, even that cloud was gone, leaving no trace of the monster. The only thing it left was a key.
Behind Warriors, a creaking sound was heard. He turned around and saw that the door was no longer barred.
He grabbed the key and got out as soon as he can. He ran to the wall and screamed his lungs out. He heard another scream.
“You got your key?”
“Yeah! Let’s go!” Sky’s footsteps went in the direction of Warriors’s locked door. Warriors made his own trek to the locked door.
Warriors had to hug the wall again. “Goddesses, I hate this part,” Sky whinned from, what sounded like, behind Warriors.
They shiffled across the narrow path until they got to the steps. From there, it didn’t take long to put the key in and twist to open the door.
The door opened on its own, blasting hot air into Warriors’s face. The path that shown was, in no way, a narrow path.
Warriors took a step forward and saw a well worn leather boot touch the ground next to him. When his body had cleared the wall, he saw Sky. He didn’t only hear him, he saw him. Sky was not smiling. Sky didn’t even have a sign of pep in his voice.
“Scaldera.” It was a simple word, no, it was a simple name. Warriors didn’t know what it meant, but he knew it left a sour taste in Sky’s mouth.
“A boss?” Warriors dared to ask. Sky nodded. “Well, since you know him or it, we should have an ok time. We have each other now.” Warriors raised his fist up. Sky smiled a very tired smile, but raised his own fist.
When they tried to bump fists, a electric shock went through their hand. They jumped away, groaning at the feeling.
Sky looked around. “I knew these steps were too wide!”
Warriors went back and reached his hand out. There was a wall, a wall they couldn’t see. “You bastard,” Warriors cursed.
“Um, so, Scaldera is like a giant fire rock,” Sky began to wave his hands around. “Where I fought him, the Earth Temple, there was a whole bunch of regeneration and shit on the top-“
“Sky-“
“He likes to run up to the top. You can outrun him, but only if you have enough stamina or you can let one of the bombs on the sides take him down-“
“Sky-“
“Then he’ll roll back down, but you have to follow him. So you can roll a bomb in his mouth because he has a rock shell that can only be broken from the inside.”
“Sky!” Sky gulped, looking up at the Captain. “You’re panicking, alright? I need you to breath.”
“We don’t have time. Scaldera-“ Warriors sat down, only regretting it because the floor was warmer than it needed to be. Sky stammered over his words, making it sound like gibberish. “Captain!”
“I’m panicking too, so I’m sitting down now,” the Captain said, sounding calm and collected, but even he couldn’t ignore the violent tremble of his limbs.
Sky groaned. “What about the poison?!”
Warriors took a breath. “One thing I learned about me on this quest is that I’m really impulsive when I panic. I don’t know this Scaldera thing, if I go in impulsively, it could cost me my life. So, I’m sitting down now, so I can be calmer and preferably not die, yeah?”
Sky sighed, but closed his mouth. Soon enough, Sky was sitting down, legs crossed. “I don’t remember the last time I was really timed to do things. I don’t work well under so much pressure,” Sky chuckled, “you should’ve seen me during the Silent Realm trials.”
Warriors guided Sky through breath for some time before they stood up and started up the steps.
There was a slope, curved half way up. Warriors couldn’t tell how far up it went. In front of them was a flat platform. Fruits that looked like hearts and flowers that looked like they could blow a fuse were scattered around the small area.
Sky picked a heart fruit and reached over slowly to give it to Warriors. Warriors looked at Sky, questioning his actions, before he reached out.
The fruit felt slimy, maybe even gooey. Warriors gave Sky a strained smile. Sky’s smile was much better than before.
For a minute, Warriors thought that Sky was telling him “thank you.”
Then there was loud rumbling coming from above them. They both looked up. Warriors hadn’t noticed the gigantic bones that were embedded into the ceiling. At least, not until he saw a giant rock rolling inside those bones.
Warriors looked back at Sky. He pointed up to where he had seen the giant rock. “Is that…” Sky nodded, his lips pressed tight to show his distaste.
Warriors looked back up, then back at Sky. “I didn’t see two…?” Warriors tried to brighten the mood. Sky nodded. His face had changed again, his eyes were sharp and lifeless. Warriors didn’t like how monstrously dull his eyes had gotten from seeing a giant rock rolling above him.
Sky had started walking. Warriors caught up quickly after Sky jumped down to the start of the slope. Sky pointed to somewhere higher on the slope. “When I fought this thing, it popped up when I stood there. We should walk on the sides of the slope.” Warriors nodded.
Sky sighed. “I’m glad we’re fighting the same guy. I thought we’d have to fight on our own when we found the invisible wall thing.” Sky rubbed the back of his neck.
Warriors rubbed his chin as he thought. “If I remember correctly, you said you have to put bombs in his mouth, because that’s how we kill it?” Sky nodded. “I don’t mean to jab at you, but your stamina isn’t the best, so maybe you should throw the bomb at him. After that, I’ll chase it down, shove a bomb in its mouth, and then run back up.”
“What about when it stands up?”
“You didn’t say anything about it standing up!”
“It stands up after you take all of the rock armor off. Without the rock armor, it’s just a ball of lava…with long legs.”
They stared at each other for a second. Warriors wanted to sit down again. “What then?”
“We, or I, will have to throw bombs at its face. It’ll roll back down, throw a bomb in its mouth again, stab its eye a whole bunch while it tries to dodge your sword, kill it.”
Warriors sighed. “Yeah. OK.” Warriors shifted his gaze up. “Are we ready then?”
“When he spawns, we should scout out the top,” Sky pointed to where the slope leveled out, “see how many heart fruits we get. Bomb flowers regenerate fast by the way.” Warriors nodded.
The two heroes met eyes before a grin found their face. They bolted up the slope.

Thank you, @recentadultburnout, for tagging me and asking for my nine favorite TV shows! I might have gone a little overboard because I haven’t been tagged a lot before, but please indulge me.
This is going to be limited to QLs, if only because I couldn’t think of a single piece of Western (or straight) media I love and/or remember well enough to be able to put on this list. The ones I have chosen are below, in no particular order.
1. The Untamed
Tumblr media
This one belongs here both for being a fantastic story and for being the reason I even discovered any of the other series on this list. My entire “obsessed with Asian queer media” thing started all because a friend once told me, “Let me show you what I’ve been watching recently.” What can I say, drunk Lan Zhan got to me.
2. Moonlight Chicken
Tumblr media
One of the most beautiful, thought-provoking and mature series I’ve ever seen, QL or otherwise. P’Aof is a genius and I would have to hide in shame if I didn’t have at least one of his works on this list. He created a narrative of six real people trying to figure out life and how to be happy and there is so much strength in every single one of them.
3. Not Me
Tumblr media
With at least three watchthroughs one of my most-watched BLs. I mean, OffGun and the social commentary and political action and the queerness of it all and the characters. Ugh, I love this show. Plus, the music and musical editing were phenomenal.
4. Where Your Eyes Linger
Tumblr media
Probably my favorite Korean BL ever? Also the KBL to really get me into KBLs, so it already deserves a medal for that (I was missing out on so much). I’m a sucker for good yearning and forbidden relationships, and this series gave me everything I wanted. And, again, the soundtrack. The instrumental of See U playing as Kang Gook storms Tae Joo’s dad’s house lives rent-free in my mind.
5. HIStory 3: Make Our Days Count
Tumblr media
Yes, it’s the other HIStory 3, the one everyone ignores because ‘he went out to buy salt’. Look, don’t judge me, I own up to my love for this series. It’s not the show’s fault all anyone ever remembers is the tragic ending. It’s also such a beautiful story about a total dork falling in love with a lonely nerd and defying all odds to be with him. Plus, the best sibling relationship ever. And (spoiler) said dork dying doesn’t invalidate everything else the series tells us. Yes, it was sad, but I can deal with the sadness. And sometimes, the sadness is as much part of a show as it is of life.
6. The Eclipse
Tumblr media
This series haunts me to this day. I was obsessed with it, and I still am. Akk is one of my favorite characters ever written, and First portrayed him beautifully. So did Khaotung with Ayan. The sheer existence of P’Golf baffles my mind to this day. These 12 episodes gave me everything I’ve ever wanted.
7. The Eighth Sense
Tumblr media
I take back what I said about Where Your Eyes Linger. This is my favorite KBL. I’m not even sure I can explain why. It’s just so honest. And so, so queer. It made me cry so many times, and the storytelling was magnificent. Plus, it’s one of the few full-length KBLs we have.
8. We Best Love
Tumblr media
The cups in my profile picture are the ones Yu Zhenxuan and Pei Shouyi drink out of in the flashbacks of the second season, so... yeah.
This was my very first QL that wasn’t a bromance, and so I’m very biased. I’m almost mad at myself for making this my first one, because sometimes it feels like nothing else could ever live up to it. I admit to having a special love for season 1, even though season 2 seems to be the one people talk about a lot more. It’s just perfect, everything about it. Especially Gao Shide’s mom.
9. My School President
Tumblr media
What a phenomenal show. I remember how much I was looking forward to Fridays during the time this was airing, and each week it gave me everything I wanted. Gemini and Fourth are fantastic actors, the friend groups made me cry all the time, it’s one of the cutest things I’ve ever seen, and there are some absolute bangers in there, musically speaking. Gun and Tinn will always have a special place in my heart.
Some honorable mentions because it’s really hard to pin down exactly nine:
Never Let Me Go – I spent a lot of time debating whether to put this or MSP in this list because I love them both equally. And because they aired around the same time, they are sort of irrevocably tied together in my mind.
Big Dragon – I loved this significantly more than I ever expected to, and I can’t be impartial about Yai to this day, because I love him with all my heart. This was such a messy, weird, chaotic show, and yet it somehow gave us such beauty and sappy people in love.
Step by Step – It doesn’t get to be on the list because it hasn’t finished airing yet, and so it could still fuck up, but if it keeps going like this, it is definitely going to become one of my favorites. (Same with Be My Favorite, honestly.)
I don’t know many people around here, and certainly not many I wouldn’t feel awkward tagging, but I’ll just be awkward anyway and kindly ask @ellaspore and @biochemjess if they feel up for it. I wanna know! (No pressure, though.)

Ashlesh analysis
Since im the only person in the face of this world that is deranged enough about Nilah to go beyond the mortal realm seeking for answers, i felt i had the responsibility to write this post with as much info as i could
frequently i feel like people dont know how to address or read ashlesh since 1) he's subortinated to nilah (as if he was an accessory, and not an entirely different entity, but i understand why this overlap happens) and 2) it's not like we have a lot of info on him to begin with
or that's i think people like to believe; i mean, yes he has less lore that directly mentions him than fiddlesticks, but i believe that with a bit of reading we can infer a lot from ashlesh, and that's why im here writing this post
Tumblr media
1. DUALITY
first i would like to point out something interesting that (so far) just happened with ashlesh: the fact that he has two different titles
for me, it speaks about ashlesh complexity as a character - he resonates in duality, joy under his influence can mean multiple things, his waters cut deep but they also veil against harm, he gives power but takes the soul
i feel like (at some point) ashlesh was closer to humanity (meaning that he helped humans thrive at the same time he fed on them, yk like cattle) than to his siblings - The Ten Kings - and that's why he was granted two titles, he seems to go beyond the "just consume" that we see from fiddle, yes he fed on humans but he understand how to do this
the devil is smarter
Tumblr media Tumblr media
this of course is a past that we'll probably never know about ashlesh; if it was once written, the river of fate has likely washed it away long ago
2. AMBITIONS
despite mysterious, ashlesh seems to have a clear and audacious goal: fight the heavens
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
it's transparent like water that ashlesh harbours resentment towards the celestial realm above and it has a good reason: it was the celestials that trapped him
here's the story
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
For those who dont know, the new fiddlesticks and zoe got a small connection in lore - in one of the old splasharts, fiddle carries a key, but upon receiving his rework, it was not there anymore
so people started noticing that the key that once belonged to fiddle was now in the hands of a mischievous little (and too powerful) girl
(this lore event is also present in fiddle's biography)
Tumblr media
but after all, what this key was for?
Carnivalnites (or Jared Rosen), the main writer behind fiddle rework, rell, viego and nilah, answered it in an old tweet (now deleted) what the key was for
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
note 1: "beautiful and terrible in its joy", the duality concept strikes again
note 2: by the way it's put and by the way jared talks about the "something else" (that we now know it's ashlesh), it seems that at early stages the demon of joy was meant to be a lesser demon that was under fiddle sphere of influence (this concept is confirmed by the demonology annotation image from noxus that came out with fiddle rework) but with nilah release they have since moved from this concept cause now ashlesh is one of the ten kings alongside fiddlesticks
Tumblr media
with all this information we can confirm that ashlesh is deeply tied with targon, or more specific to the celestial realm beyond
celestial beings trapped ashlesh for some unknown reason, possibly the demon was posing some kind of direct threat to them so he had to be locked
...
Tumblr media
my personal theory is that ashlesh got kicked from the celestial realm, tried to build up his own "kingdom" below on runeterra, but also got denied this option and the celestials locked him away as a final punishment
"She read of the mad king Viego and his tragic fall, the genesis of the first dragons, and the foundation of the universe in the Kathkan tradition."
how is this possible? cause ashlesh himself is a star that once resided on the celestial realm and upon coming to the world below, he turned into the demon we know
Ashlesha (or Āśleṣā) is the 9th nakshatra (constellation) of the Hindu astrology; it's symbol is the sea serpent and its element is water. The head of the snake (in Hydra constellation) corresponds to the star Āshleshā.
interestingly, fiddlesticks bio also mentions this strange and otherworldly nature
An evil gone from the world for numberless centuries—long enough that the warnings of a nascent humanity passed into rumor, then myth, then legend… until all that remained were simple fables. An entity so utterly alien that it defies almost all contemporary knowledge of magic.
note 3: about the "turning into a demon" part, fiddle's bio is full of "it got turned into" imageries, of men and animals transforming with demonic power, so i dare say that is not impossible for ashlesh turning into a demon;
last, but not least, to make this even joyful (and funnier) i present you all the Star Guardian Version of the story (Jared worked on Another Sky novel for SG 2022 event too, so the thematics overlap)
ashlesh the STAR of joy
Tumblr media Tumblr media
remember how fiddlesticks and zoe were (also) related in Another Sky? yup yup
Tumblr media
(i feel somehow that zoe also was the key to free ashlesh in this AU too)
with these i finish my thoughts, thank you for those who read it !

(Possible spoilers!!) Have you ever thought about how maybe one of the reasons why Kaito gets so upset whenever someone claims to "know" what Miu wants/likes is because that's probably what her stalker did? Claim to know her better than herself/her family?
I think about these siblings and their past a lot lol. I'm so curious how their personalities and their relationship must've been like before the incident. Hope you have a good day!
Yes! It seemed like that guy made a lot of claims about what Miu wanted and how she felt that weren't true but that their parents believed anyway. Seeing as Kaito is generally the one who's more hung up on what happened back then (namely that he didn't notice sooner and stop it), it makes sense that that would be why he overreacts to anything that even slightly reminds him of it. If the last time someone tried to tell him they know what she wants, they were trying to manipulate him into letting them hurt her, he wouldn't exactly be keen on letting anyone else get away with it, even if their intentions are innocent.
On that note, hot take but I think that whole situation is also the reason he gets Weird™️about Takuma asking about what he loves about Miu. Cuz understandably I feel like most people's initial reaction to him saying he's not into his sister seemingly unprovoked is "hey what the fuck?" But like,,,in the context of everything they've been through, I can see how being asked if there's some reason he cares about her so much would read like an accusation to him. Like he was being compared to that guy. I mean, it kinda was a weird question to begin with--why would he need a reason to care about his sister?
Slightly unrelated tangent but I personally always found it weird that the other characters acted like it was weird that he worried about her so much. Like bro that's his baby sister. She's 2 apples tall. Even without the tragic backstory any half-decent brother would be worried alkkfdjak.
Anyways on the note of what they were like in the Before Times, just the other day I was telling one of my friends about how much I love MarineAngemon as a partner for Miu. Bc thinking about how...oh hell I haven't played this game in a MINUTE, I think it was the fake Syakomon(?) that accused her of pretending to like things she hates and hate things she likes + how she loved how cute the amusement park mons were + the way Kaito talks about her I feel like he's not actually being totally delulu about how cute she is. I feel like she probably did act a lot more cutesy but stopped because of Certain Life Events. So having her mega be something very small and very cute but still very strong is Neat, I think. Like she got a piece of her real self back and isn't so afraid of it anymore.
I'm also pretty positive that Kaito's always been a doting loser alfdkja. Like,,,his response to Minoru being worried about him letting Miu boss him around was just "hey how long do you think I've been doing this big brother thing for" lmao. Literally 0 backbone on that boy. As long as it isn't dangerous, Miu gets whatever Miu wants ToT And Miu saying he used to always pat her head wtf why are they so cute.
ALSO I NOTICED THEY BOTH REFER TO TAKING DOWN THE MASTER AS GOING AFTER THE "FINAL BOSS" SO YOU CANNOT TELL ME THEY DIDN'T PLAY A LOT OF VIDEO GAMES TOGETHER. NERDS WHO BOTH USE VIDEO GAME TERMINOLOGY IRL I LOVE THEM.
Anyways thanks for giving me an excuse to talk about Miu and Kaito again, I miss them dearly every day of my life and think about them constantly.

*Sylvie & Goddess! Y/N teleport together*
Sylvie: Back again, I see.
*Sylvie looks at Goddess! Y/N smugly*
Sylvie: I don't know if you realize this, but every time you reset "time" pun intended.
Sylvie: I'll be pulled back with you waiting to ulter history.
* A very pissed off Goddess! Y/N*
Goddess! Y/N: You know you're really wrecking the timeline!
Sylvie: No, I'm not.
Goddess! Y/N: Yes, you are!
Sylvie: You're just saying that to make me feel bad. So I stop wrecking the timeline.
*Goddess! Y/N eyes widen and twitches in Sylvie stupidity*
Goddess! Y/N: Okay, I have dealt with some dense magical idiots.
Goddess! Y/N: But what exactly is you're purpose if you don't think you’re screwing up time as we know it?!
Sylvie: Ho, I was worried you wouldn't asked me about my tragic backstory.
Goddess! Y/N: I don't need justification of why you're such a piece of crap!
Sylvie: Well, along time ago, when I was very young.
Sylvie: I was kidnap by the TVA after they erased my timeline and been running arcoss the multiverse ever since.
Sylvie: then I meet this handsome male variant of me Loki.
Sylvie: we hated each other, became friends and fell in love until one day we betrayed each other.
*Goddess! Y/N weirded out and disgusted*
Goddess! Y/N: Is that it?
Sylvie: Wait, no I didn't tell it right.
Goddess! Y/N: Did you two not know how to trust each other like normal people and just be...I don't know siblings?
Sylvie: This is gonna sound really weird but let me get it out there.
Goddess! Y/N: Okay, go.
Sylvie: Okay, Loki the male variant of myself betrayed me by not being on my side to kill He who remains that starts a war of Kangs.
Sylvie: Wanted to keep the timeline in order, which which got upset because I was upset that another variant could end up like me being kidnapped from their timeline.
* Goddess! Y/N just tired of bullshit and confused by lore*
*Goddess! Y/N then has an epiphany*
Goddess! Y/N: Wait, did you say Loki?
Sylvie: Yeah, Loki with butt cheeks as round as the moon and just as far out of my grasp.
Goddess! Y/N: Yeah, I went to school with him.
Sylvie: No, you didn't.
Goddess! Y/N: Yeah, I did. He was in my class, he got herpes.
Goddess! Y/N: He was like a solid 7/10 before that.
Sylvie: 7/10?!
Sylvie: But he must've- but what about his-
Goddess! Y/N: This imagination might be....a little out there.
*Sylvie disappointed*
Sylvie: Huh, well there goes my motivation
Goddess! Y/N: Yeah, so anyway. I'm the God of Time.
Goddess! Y/N: And I can keep doing this for eternity.
Goddess! Y/n: But I figure you got...
*Goddess! Y/N calculates*
Goddess! Y/N: Forty years.
Sylvie: Not if I ascend to God hood as well.
Goddess! Y/N: Nah, I'm just keep pulling you back here.
Goddess! Y/N: You know. I can reintroduce you to Loki.
Goddess! Y/N: I mean, he still has herpes but he's taking medicine for it.
*Sylvie re-thinks her life choices*
Sylvie: You know, that's okay I guess I did romanticize a bit.
Sylvie: But we haven't kept in touch so it would be a bit awkward now.
Sylvie: Maybe it's time to let go of Loki and you and I can just be friends!
*Sylvie pleads*
*Pissed off Goddess! Y/N still/annoyed*
Goddess! Y/N: Well, let's review.
Goddess! Y/N: You started a cult, stole my wand, you tried to brainwashed me, you broke into my....tree castle and tried to destroy time itself.
*Sylvie chuckles nervously*
Sylvie: Well, when you put it that way it sounds pretty bad.
Sylvie: But my childhood was stolen from me- well with my lover betraying me and him betraying me and all.
Sylvie: So, I think you can excuse my motivations.
Goddess! Y/N: No, no. I can't let this go.
Goddess! Y/N: Sylvie Lafeydóttir. I princess Y/N, by the power vested in me by Godhood do hereby sentence you to six consecutive life sentences as friends to the Avengers.
*Sylvie is confused what Goddess! Y/N just said*
Sylvie: Huh...
Sylvie: When you put that way it almost sounds like some kind of punishment.
Goddess! Y/N: Yeah. Wednesday is Monopoly night.
Goddess! Y/N: I suggest you bring a lot of scotch and a garbage bag.
