Well. Sigurd ripped a dewclaw out bc he snagged it in my sweater, literally while we were both either on work meetings or about to go to work meetings…so to the emergency vet we went. Where we waiting for an hour to be seen bc we were non emergent. Finally, a hero tech came to see us and told us it was either wait four more hours or she can try and rip the nail off now. Me and Me D held Sigurd (muzzled) while he flailed and growled as dramatically as possible but we were somehow able to get the nail off and bandaged. That tech had fingers of STEEL and we were super appreciative of her. Then Sigurd got McDonald’s French fries on the way home. Urg. What a night.

20 days into April... welp! Time flies when you're drawing as much as you can after work eh? Today brings the god of winds, Amatsu, from the Monster Hunter series!

I remember when I first fought this big ol' wind sock of a dragon... ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE OMG!! The music really struck a chord with me back in MHGens/GU, and if there's one thing I do miss in Rise, it's a little sound Amatsu makes as an audio queue for attacks. But either way, I LOVE THIS DRAGON A TON OMG!! And in MHRise??? I literally bought the DLC so fast just for Amatsu and they made this guy a true storm god, INCREDIBLE AAAH!

10000/10 would hunt multiple times just for fun again.

honestly I’m fucking tired of calling my reps and begging them to care

I’ve been calling them over and over and over for the past four months begging and pleading them to speak out about what is obviously genocide

I don’t think they listen, most likely their underpaid interns got instructed to throw notes or voicemails out, but even if they do they don’t fucking care. It’s exhausting.

The White House comment line is only open for 4 hours 4 days of the week during hours most people work. If you’re able to call and wait for 20 minutes to finally speak to an intern they take a brief note and you can only hope they don’t immediately throw it out.

I’ve been doing this since I was a child. begging my reps to care about children being shot in school. begging them to care about my own schools getting bomb and gun threats every year. begging them to care about the fact that people don’t feel safe around cops. begging them to care about the growing number of people in my city becoming jobless and homeless and dying of covid. begging them like a dog to care at all about people’s lives and happiness.

I don’t know. I’m just fuckin’ tired

I won’t give up though. It’s not the only form of activism I do or the main one I give my energy to. I hope the same thing for anyone reading this. You shouldn’t just be boycotting and calling your reps, you should be attending vigils and protests and speaking about the issue of genocide to your friends and family

I’m just tired of people pretending like our representatives actually give a fuck what we think over their lobbyists and investors cause it is and has always been clear to me that they don’t. America has never been a democracy and if you think that you are deluded.

i don’t agree with the takes that the student protests are pointless or distracting from the issue. i think what theyre doing is extremely important and brave and can be traced back decades in history as the catalyst to many major changes. these kids are the future

Monsterslayer of Thunderclan my beloved!!!!! reread Dawn yesterday and came to this point where everyone is somehow ok with the elders being left alone to die. ew. But i actually thought of your bulldozer speckletail idea and thought of a concept for it: In order to defend the other elders (+ maybe dying mudfur) from the impending monsters, she sacrifices herself by ferociously fighting the monster (pulling the driver down so that he yanks the steeringwheel away, crashing into a rock or tree). Maybe it buys the others more time, more likely it's in vain. BUT. She had the death of a True Warrior and ascends to starclan in the form of a shooting star, the very same one that shows the clans the way to their new home

The elders being left behind is so weird!! They say, "Oh we can't make a journey like that and we don't like change" but, uhhh?? We've established that elders are supposed to be these respected clanmates, a Clan defines itself on taking care of the injured, sick, and old, and they just... accept the idea of leaving the 'weak' cats behind.

TNP is what really made the elder's den a punishment and I feel like it started here, with this decision. So to hell with it! NO elders are getting left behind. If there's any stragglers, it'll be capable warriors.

Thank you so, so much! It's been one of my favorite things to write. Like YES he's the Ferryman, people are scared shitless of him, he kills without guilt, he cuts out tongues and fucking delivers them in a box with a coin so you know they're dead.

And yet.

And yet.

He's a devoted, wonderful father. He bakes cookies and birthday cakes for the kids. He has movie nights. He will hug and kiss Jane on the head like a good dad. He would quite literally burn the world down if it meant he could protect her, he will gut those who harm her, and he will shed no end of blood to ensure she has a safe, happy, joyous little life in New York City, 'do you hear me, Matthew?'
