What would have changed if the Reader was also a Sea creature of Sorts, like Sun and Moon? What do you think they would be? How would the Story have altered? How would Sun and Moon feel? I read this a bit ago and I stayed up THINKINGGGG cause that would be a fun story in itself. I think it would probably change in that it would happen very far in the future after the aurora crash (the crash of the ship reader was on for those not in the know on subnautica stuff.)

Reader would be very chill, wandering around and eventually they’d probably bump into sun and moon who would be like this ⤵️

But reader would have absolutely no idea why they were nervous around them, especially considering their size. But sun would reach out and try to be friends, ask a lot of questions about reader that would make the reader go hmmmm. This guy has an issue with personal space. Dude I just wanna go filter feed and chill.

Reader would probably be closer to eclipse than either of them honestly.

You wanted to sleep.

You needed to sleep.

Ever since you joined the Straw Hat Pirates, you’ve been having some sleeping problems. Maybe it was because of the waves that made you seasick, or the occasional sound of the wood creaking that shook you, making you think the ship was about to crash. You were always a light sleeper before you joined the Straw Hats, but it got worse.

You had asked the resident doctor on the ship for a remedy, after accepting that two sleepless nights might not help you have a good performance the next day. 

A notable example and sign that told you you needed help was during one day, when Nami was doing a ‘routine cleaning’ to make sure we weren’t keeping any junk that would attract bugs and all that. As you were sorting out what you wanted to throw out and what you wanted to keep, you mixed up both piles. If it wasn’t for Robin catching you holding a box of all your clothes and prized possessions into the giant trash bag, you would’ve lost a lot of clothes and trinkets you adored.

Chopper had given you some pills to take to help you sleep, advising you to drink some sort of tea and do meditation before you would rest. You decided to listen to him, as you sat on your bed, taking the pills and the tea, focusing on your breathing for a good ten minutes, before lying back down, closing your eyes.

You immediately woke up the moment a wave hit the boat, forcing you to sit up as you let out a frustrated groan, mad at your incapability to just relax. It was 12am. Everyone should be asleep, aside from the ones keeping watch. You decide to make use of your time, venturing out of your room and finding a more comfortable place than your own bed to sleep in. 

Your legs absentmindedly made their way to the resident archaeologist’s place, your hand turning the doorknob and entering the library. You expected the lights to be off, as Robin was already asleep at this time. However, to your surprise, the lights were on, and the archaeologist herself was sitting on the couch, reading a book. 

Robin glanced up at you from her book, a small smile on her face. “Ah, Y/N, may I help you? It’s quite late; you should be asleep.”

You try to close the door and head back into your room and bury yourself in embarrassment, but it’s too late. You closed the door behind you, looking down at the ground. “Uhm… I was trying to find a place to sleep… I didn’t know you were here. I’ll go, I’m sorry for intruding.”

Before you could place your hand on the door knob, a hand that sprouted from the door prevented you from doing so.

“Please. You’re not intruding; I was just wrapping up.” Robin smiled warmly at you. “Are you having a hard time sleeping again?”

“Y-Yeah… I am… How did you know?” You raised an eyebrow, wondering if Robin had occasionally sprouted a hand with an eye in it, staring at you tossing and turning in bed.

“Your behavior in the day reflects your rest during the night. And let’s just say… you haven’t been the same ever since you joined. And ever since that little mishap during Nami’s cleaning day… I had a suspicion you were having a hard time sleeping.” Robin stated matter-of-factly, her voice warm and lulling.

You scratched the back of your head, looking away. “Chopper already gave me some meds…”

“Is it working?”

“No…” You shook your head, relenting to the fact that Robin was now fully aware of your sleeping problems. Of course Robin would catch onto your problem; she never misses anything when it came to you. So what’s the point of even hiding it from her, then?

“I tried sleeping just now… taking the pills and trying to meditate. I still can’t… the waves just keep jolting me back awake, I don’t know what to do.” You exasperated, leaning against the door as you held your tired head.

“Come. Sit with me.” Robin patted the empty seat beside her on the couch, as a hand helped put her book away. Reluctantly, you trudged towards the archaeologist, creating a dip in the couch. You sat with your knees pressed against each other, your back not pressing against the cushions. 

“I don’t bite.” Robin smiled at your effort to use as little space as possible, patting the spot that was directly next to her. “Please.”

You moved closer to her, until her shirt brushed against your shoulder, the scent of fresh ink and flowers making your body relax. Robin always made you feel as comfortable as possible; she let you nap on her during the day (which probably helped contribute to her speculation about your sleeping problems), always checked in on you to make sure you were drinking enough water or weren’t about to accidentally hurt yourself.

“Why don’t you try sleeping with me tonight?” Robin nonchalantly suggested. 

Your face flushed red, as you furiously shook your head. “Y-You don’t need to do that. I-It’s fine, I couldn’t possibly ask you to sacrifice your space in order to help me sleep-”

“I’m not sacrificing anything, Y/N. Your sleep matters to me. Lie down on my lap. Don’t be shy. It might help you.”

“I’m not sure-”

Several hands gently push you against Robin’s body, making you lie down on her soft lap, your body curled into a fetal position as you laid down on the couch. A blanket was placed on top of your body, several hands tucking you in as Robin placed a hand on your head. She intertwined her fingers and your hair, gently patting your head to get you more comfortable and relaxed. Your shoulders slumped, as your legs moved away from your chest, letting the warmth and comfort Robin gave you seep into your body.

“Shall I read you a story? Perhaps that could lull you to sleep.” Robin suggested.

“S-Sure…” You replied, as you felt your eyelids getting more heavy the more Robin petted your head.

With the help of her hands, Robin picked up the book she was reading, as she began to read it out loud, her soft and elegant voice filling your ears, making your brain calm down, your muscles relaxing. You let yourself close your eyes, letting down your guard in front of the archaeologist. The deeper she got into the story, the sooner you felt yourself succumb into a slumber.

Your body jolted the moment a wave crashed into the Sunny, your head rising from Robin’s lap. But since she had your head in her hand, she gently forced you back down, giving you a warm and reassuring smile.

“It’s okay. It’s just a wave. It’s alright, you’re safe.” Robin whispered. 

You let out a shaky breath, nodding your head to let Robin know she could continue reading her story. You were safe. Safe. Safe in Robin’s hand. Safe with Robin. You were safe. 

Another wave hit the ship, but this time you didn’t flinch or move. You were safe. As long as you were with Robin, you were safe. You closed your eyes, feeling Robin’s warmth and inhaling her scent as you slowly drifted off into a well deserved slumber.

“Y/N…?” Robin whispered softly. You looked adorable in her arms; head resting on her lap, eyes closed and blanket covering your body. She couldn’t help but smile at your form, as she placed her book down. With her own hands, she scooped up your tiny body, carrying you back to her room, laying you down on her bed before crawling in next to you. 

“Goodnight, my dear.” Robin let out a deep breath, as she closed her eyes too.

HMMMM maybe? I mean like I pretty much like all kotone ships since I'm biased and I like her althoughhh honestly some ships I just see more on platonic side but I salute anyone that ships her with a rare pair (provided its just not something entirely weird or borderline illegal lol)

Anyway, here's pretty much my ranking and thoughts for each ships lol:

1) Shinjiham - First of all, god Atlus doesnt FUCK AROUND with his SL route and it's so out of their fucking mind for Atlus to not let the girlies write for the romances in other persona ever again cuz WHAT THE FUCK???? They really fucking cook with his and Ryoji's SL its fucking sweet yet so tragic I just cant fucking take it anymoreeee 😭😭😭 and it fucking hurts me that even when you ended up not dating him, you can clearly see just how in love he is with Kotone like fuck man it hurtss

I am just such a sucker for the broody bf x cheery gf trope but they had me in my tits when they laced it with angst it had me bawling by the end of it. I really appreciate how in femc's route we finally get to see his true character like god before P3R we really only know him as that mean looking guy with a tragic broody past and he tries to make things right before its too late but we dont also see him trying to be better other than tiny mentions of it so when he is gone we dont feel bad other but P3P hooo boyyy shits fucked me up I miss him I miss my wife and even when I get to save him, even when he finally gains the reason to survive and have meaning to live, when the person that gives him that reasoning is gone, it fucking hits me like a truck man and that truck decides to reverse and run me over again. Absolutely spectacular shipping 11/10 dont fucking do that ever again Atlus I have inherited hypertension from my dad

2) Akiham - This is actually my initial otp before I blasted and fried my brain with foolmoon content. I was actually surprised to see this side of Aki where instead of him looking like he gets thing under control and cool all the time, he is just so clueless socially and every rank of him had me go "Holy shit he's autistic he's just like me frrrrr" like I didnt expect him to have awful social cues like me hskskssksk I also love how really cute the entire rank is like this boy is 18 and never dated anyone yet he is so sweet and thoughtful I almost forgot he probably learned this from the seventeen magazine in his room lmfaoo I love them they're the most tamed yet cute pair but also bittersweet and sad thinking that he lost everyone that he loves even after he proclaimed he will protect her ugh im in painnn

3) Theoham - I love how silly the entire route is! Its fun and relaxed and oh god what is up with everyone with white hair has autism in this game??? His lines are fucking bonkers it had me in tears and I cant even believe this man also manage to make me feel things about exposing one's hand after seeing it gloved for so long. Again Atlus please let the girlies cook again for the new persona i am begging you

4) Hamugis - idk if it was Atlus intention or not to make her pan but god I love this so much! Her entire route is her adjusting to being human and gaining human emotion gradually and I just really think its so beautiful when she said she doesnt even care if Kotone's a girl or a man she will still love her (Im sure she really meant it to be platonic and she pretty much mixed romantic and platonic but also that confession at the roof doesnt help at all I genuinely think she's in love with femc) and towards the end when she cried I can hear how human she is briefly like oh god I cant believe Atlus invented yuri

5) Yukaham - they're besties and she mentioned she wants a bf before okay whatever BUT I just refuse to believe she's into men honestly and she probably just wants a bf because thats what she believes girls should be (like obsessing over boys and such) and shes a girly girl so she should like boys, right?

Im not forcing anyone my HC at all so just ignore this if you want. Im writing this because the worm in my brain tells me to do it and i am also projecting myself here but like I just like the idea of Yukari feels conflicted about her sexuality because she's a girly girl and her liking girls doesnt fit the status as a girly girl but when she meets Kotone and she is feminine and likes girls stuff too but also a tomboy and doesnt really care much about the identity of being a girly girl and finds herself enamored towards her, she admits to her one day that she's having conflicted feelings about her and the other girls she finds oddly attracted to and Kotone's probably like "You should try to kiss me and see if you feel anything about it" and AKXHEIQPAUSQPAJQL oh god the thought of Yukari not knowing she's a lesbian and struggling to accept her identity as a lesbian is just so AAAAAAA i need more Yukaham content maybe I should draw them together

6) Mitsuham - I totally understand people's vision with Mitsuham. Actually at this point, you guys can see how Kotone brings impact to everyone in the team and towards the end of the game, everyone either finds a meaning to live or finally able to open up to each other but anyway shhh lets ignore the overall grim lore of this game and just focus on Mitsuru as a person instead. I really love the idea that Kotone introduce a lot of new things to Mitsuru since despite how rich and influential she can be, due to the responsibility and burden she has to hold at a very young age, she didnt get to experience what life is as a normal teenage girl so I just love the thought of Kotone teaches her what it feels to be a normal teenage girl like and gives her a glimpse of what it feels if she wasn't a Kirijo in the first place. Again, just a HC but like I think it would be so fun of Kotone and Mitsuru just sneaks out at night after she convinces her to forget her responsibility for a moment and loiters around town until it's the dark hour and Mitsu just freaks out because she was too distracted by having fun and being distracted by her duty and she was like I cant afford being normal, not in this world and not when she bears the name of Kirijo and oh god did I accidentally turn this into angst???? ANYWAYS yes I understand Mitsuham

7) Ryoham - Okay I have to admit, as much as bittersweet and tragic their whole relationship is (like the fuck as going on in Atlus' HQ when they wrote "Please touch me. Make sure I exist." Like ????) I'm just not into Ryoji much because of a personal reason but also like I love it when people draw them in an alternate universe where they meet again like I really believe in another life, they really do would fall for each other again ;w;

8) Juntone - Honestly I just see them as platonic but I saw this one Juntone shipper on twt before and I cant stop thinking of them whenever I have to think of this pair. Like okay shh imagine if Kotone isnt dead in the end but both of them still lost Chidori and Shinji, I know they both understands the pain but like if lets say they find confort in each other and down the line they do fall in love, I just think its really beautiful. Maybe not immediately but when years later theyre reunited and open up about their grief and still having a hard time to move on, I know they would clung on to each other just to feel absolutely alright because nobody can understand the circumstances they fall into.

Anyway, that's pretty much my ranking. I really do love and understand why people would love her with other pairing like I am all game but the ones I am pretty much very obsessed with is Shinjiham and Akiham while the others are more of an afterthought to me.

Hmmmm. Depends on how we define "identifying" but I have recently come to the conclusion that Karlach is unironically the person I want to be in a lot of different ways. <3 Unashamedly goofy, optimistic, cheerful, loyal, ready to throw hands for her friends if need be. (And of course hot and in superb shape. XD )

Looking at the AO3 fics I have written, though, most of them are more focused on the sad/tragic parts of her character because Feels. (I guess the closest candidate would be "Zariel's Crucible" because Karlach is SUPER loyal there even though Gortash doesn't fucking deserve it.)

L:  Which of your fanfics was the most emotionally challenging to write?

Hrm. It isn't exactly a full fic, but my liveblog post about Karlach's meltdown after Gortash's death was harrowing to work on because that scene fucking destroyed me. I am still not over it.

For the fics that actually made it onto AO3, I think "The Two Sides of the Coin" is easily the saddest thing I've written so far. :( I do love me some angst.

U: Is there a pairing you would like to write, but haven’t tried yet.

One of the fun things about BG3 is that the game actively encourages mixing and matching the companions in all sorts of different ways. XD I have a LOT of ideas percolating in the back of my brain - the big struggle is deciding what order to do everything in and trying not to rush myself.

I definitely would like to write about Aylin and Isobel at some point. I'm also still sort of fascinated by the Emperor as a character so I would love to do more to explore his whole deal, either with a Tav/Durge or Ansur or something.

@jazzfordshire's Lae'zel/Shadowheart fic "though I burn how could I fall" (nsfw; highly recommend tho :D ) has sent me down a bit of a rabbit hole on that ship so I may end up trying my hand at them sometime (thinking about maybe headcanoning it as part of Rakha's run since Rakha broke Lae'zel's heart accidentally. XD ).

I would also enjoy writing some of Jaheira and Khalid's adventures/romance before and during BG1. (Some of that was originally going to be included in The Two Sides of the Coin but it ended up slowing the pacing to a crawl.)

Also, I kind of have started "from the pinnacle to the pits," but as I said, I deleted the first sentence multiple times... so yeah. This one is a wip that deserves more attention, so I will have to tread carefully, because I have to infodumo on the world building without it being boring and the tone of the work should be more serious/tense... but I am a very unserious individual who loves picking fun at the characters they're writing, so hmmmm.

He finally died but was brought to life against his will + he is insecure, anxious, he procrastinates and uses irony to ignore the problems in his life + "it" is a problem they both have to deal with but they won't talk about it because that means they would have to talk their feelings out = two men who need therapy and a relic have communication issues and have to sort things out for good.

Hi Baba! :] Ohh, thank you for the ask! Will start with Grant/Nicky:

I tend to think of them as close friends most often! Especially in s1 context--they both like gaming and, even if in a dangerous situation, still found some fun in the places they were stuck in. Easily imagining them playing co-op games often--with the boys or 1-on-1. For a more family centric thought, I do think its pretty fun and silly when Grant and Nick(y) are friends/step siblings in a Glenn/Darryl scenario especially if they seem annoyed with their respective step-dads haha. I love family bonding shenanigans!

In a romantic sense, I feel like Grant and Nicky could have had a relationship--to explore stuff and then for various reasons, things fizzled out. A big part of it could be the communication issues they both struggle with? I do think about the "its like having an ex number" line sometimes haha (not sure if thats the exact wording, can't remember). Also...well regarding the betrayal, I often consider that either Lark or Grant was the one to actually shoot Nicky too. He's great with guns and would know great spots to hit that don't kill yet still...send a message. Or maybe he aimed to kill, saw his friend's terror and slipped up? In the end, it could have been any of them who attacked...but there's something deeply saddening to me about Grant doing it. Feeling yet again forced to commit violence for some urgent issue and having to break off a friendship on top of that :[ To add to the 'bitter ex vibes'--there's Grant being rather mean to any of the teens who aren't his son--especially Taylor? Doesn't seem like a stretch for me to think maybe Taylor reminds him of Nicky and that's part of why he seems not to want to deal with him whatsoever lol

I think the pairing could be interesting though and open to reading about them and perhaps Grant/Marco/Nicky too! Mostly conflicted since lovesong (Sparrow/Nicky) and Grant/Marco are my fav pairings for these characters so I tend to have more thoughts about those :0 ----- Now for Glenn/Morgan:

Canon-wise we really didn't get much about Morgan...but the little bits of the relationship seemed pretty sweet. Definitely got the feeling that Glenn loved her very much and missed her dearly. I think, at least in my hcs, even if he and Morgan get together in hell like in canon--he still misses his Morgan. She lives on in his heart and memories About the "I like them platonically", one of my fav scenes in s1 is during the finale when Glenn accepts that this isn't his Morgan and that he just wants to see her (and Nicky) living happily. So I do like the alternate reality of them remaining family friends of sorts as well. Its heart-warming that even if there are different versions of them--they still end up drawn to each other platonically or romantically. Overall, I think the ship has a great mix of angst, sweetness, and goofiness! Gives me the butterfly flutter type feeling when thinking about them getting to spend time together I put "send to hell" for both of these since hell is Nicky, Glenn, and Morgan's home of course ;)

if the mood is right and there's chemistry, sure! i do think sex would be a no-go though simply because this isn't just a one night stand, this is someone who could potentially be someone sticking around for the long run...someone whom sol could become acquainted and so calum wouldn't want sex to get mixed in right away.

hmmmm i think when he was younger he was a lot more self-conscious about how he appeared in public since his family put a lot of pressure on him to always look 'presentable' to the public....that being said, he does try to keep in shape as it helps with his mental health and maintaining his busy life, so I would say over the years, he's become neutral in relation to his body and appearance although he might get self-conscious if he's like, naked in front of a partner....i think he's someone who's more comfy with covering up in general.

13. what traits does your muse value in a romantic partner?

i used to try to pinpoint what his ideal type would be bc I was intent on calum one day perhaps going single ship...that being said, since I've set him to multiship for good, I will say the most important thing for calum is that regardless of the circumstances and the personalities, they have to be first and foremost reliable. someone who he can rely on in a crisis.

i also think it helps if they're a tad competitive too since calum does tend to get invested in say, card games... someone snarky, just someone who can bring out his playful side so he can have a bit of fun too.

one other thing i've found as well is that in a romantic partner, he's more likely to drawn to someone who is also lonely at the core? there's something about that kind of loneliness that he can empathize with and therefore would feel more comfortable with unveiling his own loneliness as well...this often also applies to friends as too :'D

20. how does your muse feel about public displays of affection? would they engage in them?

he doesn't mind holding hands, hugging, giving a kiss here and there, but you won't find him engaging in anything more explicit...he would prefer to have some kind of privacy in moments of intimacy. it's a decorum thing ( one that his parents ingrained in him ), but just he doesn't like having eyes drawn to him and his relationship.

Okay! So, here goes:

Marian Hawke - I mean, she’s Champion of Kirkwall already, but I feel like that’s more along the lines of Batman’s ‘World’s Greatest Detective’ title rather than a superhero thing. For my own particular Marian, though, she’d probably go by something like the Fox. The Black Fox is already taken, sure, but there’s a lot of variants on fox-related names, and given my Marian is one long tribute to Robin Hood, I want to get a nod to the Disney version in there. Or, hell, maybe the Hooded Man, to get a nod in to Robin of Sherwood and the fact that, dressing in layers and with a hood over her face, Marian is tall and broad-shouldered enough to cause confusion.

Bethany Hawke - For her, I would want the bird pun, just because her armour already has one, and because I like to position her as one of three mages from this particular family line - Margarethe Amell, Bethany Hawke, and my as-yet-unnamed new mage Trevelyan. So, what sort of bird would suit Bethany? I lean towards the Merlin, for reasons of a) a falcon traditionally associated with ladies, echoing Bethany’s dreams of the life of a Hightown lady, and b) she’s a mage, and I am not above a corny pun or two.

Carver Hawke - Goshawk. Carver wants to be out of his sibling’s shadow, but he doesn’t want to ditch the family name. And goshawks just...remind me of him. The yeoman’s bird, fitting for Carver as the one of the family who has least invested in moving up to Hightown, and stubborn little persistence hunters that are really hard to train, but once you’ve got them trained up, they make the best hunters of all. I think it suits him.

Anders - I think he might just go with Justice, on the grounds that...well, he’s now a fused Anders-Justice mix, which is...they are both in there, but it’s hard to tell who is who. Having his daytime identity go by one name and his nighttime one by the other sounds like a nice way to reinforce that.

Fenris - Literally already has a superhero name, he’s the Blue Wraith!

Merrill - The Green Griffon. Because she wears a lot of green and likes griffons, and it’s the sort of name I could picture her choosing for herself and then going all out on the costume for, resulting in a surprisingly lifelike griffon mask and feathered cape.

Isabela - The Siren. Nice nod to the name of her ship, nautical in nature, and she could make so very many jokes about it, most of them dirty.

Aveline - Can’t really picture her as anything but the poor man’s Jim Gordon - and frankly, that’s unfair on Gordon - but if she was...hm. The Guardswoman. Very basic, I know, but neither Aveline nor I is long on naming imagination, and I feel like she would want to underline that she is an official, state-sponsored superhero unlike the rest of this crowd. (Marian holds that this sort of misses the point of being a superhero).

Sebastian - Hm...I got nothing. Probably something Chantry-related, Sebastian being who he is. It might be entertaining for him to use ‘Champion of the Just’, and thus forever have to deal with getting mixed up with either Marian or Anders.

Varric - The Storyteller. Very, very on the nose, but after Hard in Hightown, Tale of the Champion and Swords and Shields, can we really say Varric is good at coming up with names? (Pay no attention to the crap-at-naming-things writer behind the curtain).

She's the type of person that romanticizes romance, and probably believes that love is the "biggest feeling" you can have for someone, and she feels so much so strongly for light that she doesn't realize she really isn't actually in love with him.

Even then,because she wants to be closer to light and know everything about him,she becomes his girlfriend and she is genuinely happy in this relationship (even though light treats her like crap and is only using her)

As far as I remember, the anime never mentions if misa had any past relationships, only that she rejected a guy that was obsessingly in love with her (who after that tried to kill her) and was saved by a shinigami that was in love with her. Therefore one could guess that light was her first ever (serious) relationship.

22. Do you have an opinion on romantically shipping aromantic characters?

While is true some people on the arospec experience romantic attraction in some level,or would be okay with being in a romantic relationship, I think if someone is going to ship an aromantic character romanticly, that someone has to be aro(spec). I don't think alloros should ship aro characters at all.

Every time I've seen alloro writers ship an arospec character with another character they either do them like "oh I haven't been able to love before but know that I met you I can finally love!" or simply write a alloromantic relationship and slap the aro label over it.

relationships with one or more aro people in the mix are very different from a fully alloromantic relationship, they're even different from each other! a romo relationship between an aroflux person and a alloro person is going to be different from one between a demiromantic person and a bellusromantic person, and that's without taking into consideration if they're aplatonic or romance ambivalent or loveless aro,etc etc.

I just don't think an alloromantic person could fully understand the beautiful complexity of aspec relationships unless they're in one themselves.
