Today in fanfiction I will never write - Airplane hits 'return home' button. It doesn't go as planned.

So, I am feeling a bit morbid tonight - proceed with caution.

Airplane hits the 'return home' button at the moment Linguang Jun breaks his leg. It was an act of desperation. Mobei Jun appears only to catch a glimpse of him disappearing. SQH does not see his king.

Only, the return home option works for both of the transmigrators. Shen Yuan is ripped from his husband's loving embrace only to wake up in a hospital bed after a serious case of food poisoning. His family is there to greet him and take him home. They don't believe his wild tale of transmigration, deciding it was a hallucination caused by the medical coma he was in.

But Shen Yuan knows it was true. He decides to find Airplane and see what the author has to say, if he even is in this world back with him.

Shen Yuan manages to locate Airplane's tiny flat with the help of a hired detective but decides to approach the author alone. He knocks at the door, but nobody answers. He charms the landlord to open the door for him, promising to pay Airplane's overdue rent in exchange.

When he enters the flat, only darkness is there to greet him. And what is that smell? Doesn't Airplane air the place or wash his clothes?

He does not.

Airplane's body is crumpled on the floor, by a dusty laptop and rotting leftovers. He's clearly been there for a while.

Shen Yuan curses. He assumes that it was only him who returned to the original world, and Airplane continues to live his life as SQH.

Having no idea if Airplane has a family - Shen Yuan assumes he doesn't since nobody found the body or cared to check - he arranges for cremation and very modest funeral ceremony, as he knows Airplane is well in the other world.

He only finds out how wrong he was when a portal rips open the space in his living room and LBH and MBJ step out looking for their humans.

It doesn't take long to convince Binghe that Shen Yuan is in fact Shen Qingqiu. The married couple is happily reunited.

The question remains - what happened to Airplane?

Danny has a knife that if u slash the air it opens a portal to the ghost zone.

But in his exhausted state, he slashes the knife in the air while babbling on about how he wishes there were easier ways to deal with his rouges. Accidentally causing his magical knife to slashes open a portal to a different dimension.
