this is in the "141 and john price's wife" universe. still gn pronouns. i also don't think price texts that much- old man syndrome.
the 141 absolutely have a group chat dedicated to pictures and information (porn) about their little wife.
it starts, as many silly things do, with johnny and a picture of you asleep on the couch. cuddled into the armrest covered in the tortilla blanket he'd gotten you as a gag gift, and it was just too good not to share. (although he only sent one of the thirty he actually took, he's gotta keep as much of you to himself as he can.)
then it was kyle with you in the yard, laying in the grass after cutting down branches in the sweltering heat (something john would never let you do if he'd know about it, but he appreciates the flush of your cheeks and the angle of the photo makes it seem as if you were under him doing another strenuous activity.)
and it continues like that for months, cute little pictures of you gardening with price, walking with simon, watching tv between kyle and johnny- just sharing the daily life of their pretty bird.
but the real nature of the group chat doesn’t start until simon sends a picture of you bent over, putting something in the oven, in the tiny, red daisy duke shorts that are only just long enough to be considered inappropriate for the public.
sr: fuckin' lucky that shit only takes 10 minutes to cook or we'd be in the kitchen all day.
soap: fuuuuuuuuckin' hell
kyle: don't rub it in simon, we'll be home in two days
sr: don't worry, i'll warm 'em up for you
price: Behave yourselves.
and it all just unravels from there.
john's the next culprit. he has loads and loads of less than decent pictures of you, perks of being the first husband, but he's not reaching into the stash for this one. he has a point to make: if anyone's getting off to pictures of his wife, he's gonna be the one sending them.
it's barely two hours after the other three left that something is sent into the chat. face down, ass up, cunt dripping with cum as price uses his thumb to keep your pussy open to the camera, the rest of his hand palm down on your ass, the ring on his finger glistening in the flash.
sr: fuckin' filthy captain
soap: BRING ME BACK, PUT ME IN CAPTAIN
kyle: tell 'em i said thank you
it's not surprising that the minute he comes back, johnny's on you. methodically placing the camera, making sure it captures all of you and his face buried between your thighs. it wasn't the first video sent into the chat but it's definitely one of the best ones.
your head thrown back, hands in his hair, gripping what you can so you can grind your pussy on his tongue. his phone is just close enough to hear your small pants and groans as he sucks on your swollen clit.
soap: i could spend the rest of my life right there
sr: you let 'em fuck yer face like that?
soap: lt i'd let 'em gag me
soap: then step on my dick
soap: then leave me on the floor to rot
*kyle, price, and sr disliked three messages*
soap: like you fuckers wouldn't
and kyle is not a man to be left out, but he is also not as keen on sharing his private time with you as johnny is. so there aren't videos coming from him, instead he has 4k close ups of your tits after he spent almost an hour sucking hickeys into every part of your chest he could reach.
and kyle is like an artist, he makes sure your hair is splayed out perfectly, and that you're just fucked out enough to give him a bright smile. he also makes sure that the locket they gave you, the one that's has their names engraved on the inside, sits perfectly above the swell of your boobs. and goddamn is he proud of his pictures. (it's not hard for you to look pretty in pictures because you're already pretty but kyle thinks he's the best at actually capturing it).
soap: another two things i would put my face between until i suffocate
*sr, price, and kyle disliked a message*
soap: go fuck urselves
and simon is just mean, fingers peaking under your panties, finding your clit just to sit there, finger pressed on your bud, only moving for a few seconds before falling still again; his other hand hold your hips down so you can't do anything but wait for him to move again. and he does it the entire length of the manchester game until your panties are completely soaked through.
soap: stone cold, lt. stone cold.
but before he can do anything, he has to take his picture so the other fools can remember what a whore you are for him. and because it's between games he'll let you sit on his dick and grind into him during commercial breaks. maybe he'll even film in and send it to the guys, let them see you drip all over his lap whole stretching to fit him in your cunt.
but whether his team loses or wins, he'll flip you over and fuck you into the couch cushions, so at least you get that!
then they're all away on a mission, and you know about their little chat (it's hard not to when suddenly they have a camera out every time you're in their vicinity.) so you take it upon yourself to give them their fix. and why not play around with them well you're ar it?
it starts when you go shopping merely three days after they left. they tear up your bras and underwear so obviously you would need to buy more eventually. but usually when you go shopping one of them is with you to share their opinions, but since they're away, you just have to send pictures instead!
a whole catalog, in facts. you've got angles, dressing room lighting, and a whole lot of time on your hands.
*you sent 22 photos to 'the bird house'*
you: i can't choose :(((
you: help me out?
kyle: give me 6 hours to fly home and i'll help you with anything
price: Looks great. But I can't tell from the pictures, you'll have to try them all on again when I get home.
soap: licking the screen isn't working, captain i think i need to go home.
*sr saved 22 photos to Camera Roll*
kyle: smooth riley, real smooth.
and of course it doesn't end there. you have a chance to torture them a little bit with zero consequences and you're going to take it.
but it takes a while for you to send videos, usually you send your outfits, or the tiny bathing suit top you wear while tanning, even one of you in the kitchen in nothing but your tiny apron. (it's the only one that john does not appreciate, popping a boner between briefings as a captain is not hie proudest moment.)
but as the months go longer and longer, you get more and more desperate. your toys are reserved for times like this, a small bullet vibrator and a thick 8-inch dildo. it's nowhere near as nice as fucking your men but it'll have to do for the time being.
and you know them being away is not their fault and they'd be home in an instant if they could choose to be; but if you have to deal with your pent-upness, so do they.
so you set up your phone, leaning it on the lamp that sits on your bedside table, so it captures your entire body, covered only by sheer light-blue lingerie and your locket, as you sink down the length of your dildo, vibrator pressed to your clit. you send four different videos, one for each of them, in the order they came into your life (you think it's cute, they're one picture away from firebombing the whole country they're in and flying home).
you: just something to hold you over until you get back!
kyle: so good for us babe.
soap: yer evil bonnie.
soap: my arm can't keep up with this
sr: birdie thinks it's real funny now
you: i do
sr: not gonna be so funny when we get home, yeah? might have to give you a refresher about what happens teasing birds.
price: 6:30am tomorrow, get everything you need in order because you aren't moving for the foreseeable future.
*you loved a message*

Princess Treatment w/ John Price
His workaholic habits do not stop after he leaves base to come home to you...
We already know he's opening up every damn door for you. He has the magical skill of knowing when doors need a push or a pull so he never fails to laugh when you pull a push door. "Tha's why you shoulda left it to me, love. Stubborn thing, you are." He'll reach over your head to push the door open for you, plopping a kiss to your hair while he does.
His masculinity does not get in the way of holding your purse for you whenever you're out together, his big bear hands wrapped around the handle of your little black purse.
He refuses to let you carry your own luggage, doesn't care if it takes him multiple trips to get both of your bags into the hotel or rental house. He'll get all exasperated if you insist on helping. "You had a long drive. Lemme handle it, pet." (even though he's the one that drove...)
There's nothing he loves more than ordering for you at a restaurant. His voice is filled with an unreasonable amount of pride when he says "And for the missus..." before telling the waiter your order.
Speaking of food, if you ever eat anything that needs cutting or even doctoring up, expect him to jump in. "Now, now, doll, you know tha's my job." He'll tsk and gently take the knife from you to cut your steak into bitesize pieces or to butter your roll. Yes, he will go as far as to bring the fork up to your lips and feed you if you don't put up a fuss.
He will absolutely pay for your manicure and then coo when you offer him your hand to show off your new nails. "Real pretty, love... Don't go chippin' 'em now. Come sit."
Price always sets up a nice place for you on the couch or bed, blanket at the ready and pillows right where you like them. "Come on now, Mrs. Price." He'll pat the spot next to him like one would for a dog. Of course, he likes it best when he can be your pillow and personal heater (that man is always warm, always) but sometimes he's got to find a way to coax his little love into his arms and away from chores.
Naturally, he will swat your hands away when you bend down to tug on your heels or tie your sneakers. He'll crouch down to place your foot on his bent knee, patting your calf firmly and leaning in to press a kiss to your ankle once he's done.
If you nick yourself while shaving, he'll level you with a disapproving stare and then insist that he do it for you next time. After all, he has plenty of experience with keeping his facial hair so tidy. "Can't have my woman hurtin' herself, now can I?" You bet your bottom dollar he's using his fancy razors and shaving creams on you, extra delicate to make sure he doesn't mar your skin.
He's terrified to smoke around you after you coughed one (1) time and now he only will take his cigars out on the back porch or in his office with the window open. If you come in, he'll snuff it out asap and usher you out of the room, shushing your protests.
I'll probably eventually add a part two cuz soft Price is everything to me hehe... Can you tell my standards are ridiculously high?? Also, does anyone have an accent writing guide for TF-141?? I am painfully American.

my kid's better than your kid
Pairing: John Walker x Reader
Summary:
“Listen here, Captain Suburbia,” you sneer. “Anyone with two functioning eyes could see your kid bodychecked mine like it was hockey practice.” “Well, the ref didn’t see it that way. So move on,” he snaps back without missing a beat. “Absolutely not! This is about accountability.” “There’s no need to give my kid a red card just because your kid—” John starts, hands gesturing like he's trying to explain away a traffic ticket. “Don’t even finish that sentence,” you fire back, jabbing a finger at his chest. “If you even imply that she was overreacting, I swear I’ll—” He holds up his hands, that smug look never leaving his face. “Hey, relax. Just saying, maybe things wouldn’t get so dramatic if you stayed on your side of the field.” You narrow your eyes. “Funny, I was just thinking the same about you.” Or You and John's kids are in the same soccer league, and after you get into an argument on the field over your kids, you start seeing him everywhere. It's hate at first sight.

Some might call you intense or insane.
A little crazy, definitely.
There’s a fire in you, always has been, and when it comes to your daughter, you didn’t play around. Every aspect of her life was important to you, especially her Saturday morning soccer games.
Though you didn’t know what intense was until you saw that dickhead across the field. Blonde hair, a trimmed beard, built like he probably hits the gym four times a week. His biceps flexed under his white shirt every time he threw his arms up at the ref, which, to be fair, was often.
If he weren’t so obnoxious, you might even find him hot, but you totally don’t find him hot. He was pumped up, red in the face, and just as invested in the game as you were. Pacing like a coach who got fired but still showed up anyway. He was shouting directions, clapping like his kid was about to be scouted, and cheering like it was the World Cup and not just a rec league game on a patchy field behind a middle school.
He was showing you up, so you started cheering louder for your kid. Because if this is a competition, you're damn well not losing it.
“That’s it, Lily! Give ‘em hell!” You shout, your daughter just smiles at you and goes back to playing, used to your competitive nature.
The man takes notice of you and looks at you like he isn’t also acting like a lunatic before cheering even louder. That rubbed you the wrong way. What gave him the right to look at you like you were the problem?
Then it happens.
You watch as your daughter gets slide-tackled for no reason.
And the ref? Doing fuck all about it.
“What was that call, ref?” you shout, already on your feet.
“I—” the ref starts, backing up as you approach.
You trudge towards him, angry but trying to maintain a look of composed fury, like you weren't two seconds from setting the field on fire.
The ref was used to your antics, and now every time he saw you storming towards him, he’d be sure that he’d be going home with a headache.
“No yellow or red card? She got slide-tackled,” you bark.
“It’s—”
“She didn’t even have the ball!” you snap, the words ripping out of you like they’ve been waiting. You’re so fired up, so high on rage and love and disbelief, you swear you could take flight.
“It was an accident, so there’s no need for that,” a voice cuts in, calm and condescending in the worst possible way.
You turn, and it’s him, the guy from across the field. The look on his face, the matter-of-fact tone, the casual smugness oozing off him like cologne. You hate him instantly. It was that easy.
“I’m guessing that was your son that ran over my daughter,” you say, each word clipped like you’re trying not to launch them at his face.
“Ran over?” he snorts. “Talk about an exaggeration.”
“It’s soccer, these things happen. You don’t have to throw a tantrum just because your kid's team is down two,” he adds, smirking like he thinks this is witty banter and not a declaration of war.
You scoff, hands on hips, already stepping into his space. The ref backs off like a man realising he’s standing between two charging bulls. This wasn’t a sideline spat; this was two planets colliding, and he wanted no part of the fallout.
“Listen here, Captain Suburbia,” you sneer. “Anyone with two functioning eyes could see your kid bodychecked mine like it was hockey practice.”
“Well, the ref didn’t see it that way. So move on,” he snaps back without missing a beat.
“Absolutely not! This is about accountability.”
“There’s no need to give my kid a red card just because your kid—” John starts, hands gesturing like he's trying to explain away a traffic ticket.
“Don’t even finish that sentence,” you fire back, jabbing a finger at his chest. “If you even imply that she was overreacting, I swear I’ll—”
He holds up his hands, that smug look never leaving his face. “Hey, relax. Just saying, maybe things wouldn’t get so dramatic if you stayed on your side of the field.”
You narrow your eyes. “Funny, I was just thinking the same about you.”
“That’s it! Take this off the field,” the ref finally blurts, hands up, voice cracking. “The kids have a match to play!”
You exhale sharply and hard through your nose, fists clenched at your sides. You try to calm yourself down, jaw tight, heart pounding. You sit and look out at your daughter, brushing grass off her knees and already back in position.
She's tougher than you give her credit, but that didn’t change the fact that you wanted to put that guy’s head in the ground.
After the game, her team, the Honeybees, lost after a few missed goals and lots of questionable calls, but your daughter was still laughing with her friends, unfazed in the way only kids can be.
You, however, were still stewing in quiet indignation when you spotted the world’s biggest jackass, in your humble, entirely accurate opinion, making his way toward you.
“Oh. It’s you,” you say, arms crossed automatically.
“I just wanted to congratulate you on your loss,” he says, all fake sincerity, like he wasn’t two seconds away from being shoved into a juice box cooler.
“How mature.”
“I try,” he replies with that same maddening, self-satisfied grin.
You narrow your eyes, ready for whatever condescending nonsense he might say next. If he says “good effort”, you’re swinging. Choosing not to let him fuck with you, you tell him what’s what.
“Your team only won because of the ref’s bad calls,” you say, arms still crossed, tone sharp enough to slice fruit.
“Oh really?” he replies, lifting an eyebrow like he’s genuinely amused. Like this is his idea of foreplay.
“Yeah. My kid was dynamite out there.”
“So was mine,” he says back instantly.
“I mean, sure, but my kid has the most assists on her team,” you say, trying to keep your cool, even as your voice edges higher.
“Assists,” he echoes, nodding slowly. “Not goals.”
You blink at him. “Are we seriously doing this?”
“I’m not doing anything,” he says with mock innocence, hands raised like he’s never been petty in his life.
You press your lips together, biting your tongue so hard it might bruise. You didn’t want to, you really didn’t want to, but it slips out anyway.
“My kid can out-pass, out-hustle, and outplay any other kid on that field.”
He grins like he’s been waiting for this.
“Well, my kid can run circles around your kid while tying his cleats.”
Your jaw drops slightly. “Alright then, my kid was able to run a full field drill without missing a pass when she was five.”
“Well, mine could do cone drills backwards while coaching his teammate through theirs.”
Your eye twitches at that and he delights in seeing you so bothered.
“Lily has a killer left foot and once scored a hat trick with a stomach bug.”
“And Tommy is a human wall on defence.”
“Oh, please. Lily once did a bicycle kick and landed on her feet. What’s Tommy got?” You say, crossing your arms.
“Perfect attendance and a clean penalty record.”
You wanted to roll your eyes at ‘clean penalty record’ but you keep it moving.
“Lily brings orange slices for the whole team.”
“Tommy brings strategy diagrams and pep talks.”
You pause, blinking. “Are we… bragging about how nice our kids are now?”
“Seems like it.”
You both go quiet for a beat, then he adds with a smirk, “Still doesn’t mean your kid’s better. I think you should admit to defeat.”
You step forward, just enough to make a point. “I’ll admit defeat when the Honeybees start losing because of their own mistakes, not because your future linebacker throws elbows like he’s in a bar fight.”
He actually laughs, and it’s a little too charming for your liking. Before you can wrestle with what that means, you hear a voice.
“Dad!” his son calls from across the field, waving dramatically. “Hurry up, you promised we’d get ice cream!”
He glances over his shoulder, then looks back at you with that same smug glint in his eye.
“Again, enjoy your loss,” he says, already turning. “And get used to it. The season’s still young.”
You narrow your eyes. “Until next time, Captain Suburbia.”
He chuckles and starts to walk away, but pauses, turns back with a smirk plastered on his face.
“John,” he says. “My name is John.”
ᯓ⚽︎ ᯓ⚽︎ ᯓ⚽︎
“Uh, what are you doing?”
“Hiding.”
“From?” Your friend, Ava, says as she looks around for the apparent danger.
“John.”
Ever since that day, you were livid with the dickhead you knew as John Walker. You had never hated someone so much from just one meeting. You never wanted to see him again, but you did while shopping.
Ava takes a peek, “Oh, the hot soccer dad? Which one is he?”
You never described him as hot but Ava figured from the way you were losing your mind over him, you thought he was.
“Blonde, beard, tall and wearing a blue shirt.”
Ava sees him in the fruit and veg aisle and hums in approval, “Is he single? He’s right up your alley, no?”
You nudge her arm. “I don’t know. I mean, I didn't see him with anyone at the game…” You say your voice drifting off before you're back to your senses. “Whether or not he's single is irrelevant! He’s a complete asshole.”
“Just because he's an asshole doesn’t mean he’s not good in bed.”
The death glare you give her is intense and could be considered lethal, but she laughs it off.
“Let’s be honest, if you weren’t attracted to him, you wouldn’t be so riled up.”
“Oh, please, I’m not into evil blonde men.”
Is he hot? Yes. But his evilness outweighs the hotness.
“Well, the evil blonde man is coming your way.”
You look towards the end of the aisle to see that Ava was right, so you immediately duck down behind a tower of soup cans.
“Please come out from over there,” Ava whispers but you protest, hoping you can camouflage yourself and become one with the cans.
Ten seconds pass, and you hear your name in that familiar voice and know you’ve been caught.
“Oh. Hi.”
Your attempt at being nonchalant is honestly pitiful, but not more pitiful than him knowing you were hiding from him.
“Don’t mind me, go back to whatever this is,” He says, gesturing to your hunched-over, goblin-like stance. He reaches over you and grabs a can off the shelf, walking off without another word.
“See? No need to panic. He was perfectly civil,” Ava chimes in.
“Only because he caught me in a state of weakness. He has the upper hand, and he’s already plotting against me. I can feel it.”
“He’s a soccer dad, not a supervillain,” Ava sighs, helping you off the floor, concerned about the effect he was having on you, but then again, she was always concerned about you. You regularly lose your mind at your daughter’s soccer games so she has just cause.
“I need to grab the wine, I’ll meet you at the checkout,” Ava says, and you nod, letting her walk off.
You had to circle back around to get the limited edition coffee you had become obsessed with anyway. You get to the aisle and your eyes widen when you realise that there’s only one left. Your hand flies to grab it, you can already imagine it in your trolley, and it looks good. It looks happy, like it's ready to be at home in your pantry.
But at the same time, another hand wraps around it, the hand belonging to John, because fate was still playing in your face.
“You.”
You thought you were done with him for the day. Clearly, the universe had other plans.
John raises an eyebrow, not letting go. “Come on. Be a gentleman and give it to me,” You say, trying to force a smile.
Your grip tightens, so does his.
“I don’t think so,” he says smoothly, as if he weren’t just on the verge of sparking a full-blown aisle standoff. “It’s the last one.”
“I know.”
“I’ll have to go across town for another,” You say, your eyebrows knitting together.
“Cry about it.”
You tug on it a little, but he doesn’t budge. The item wobbles dangerously between your hands.
“Are you even trying?” he asks. He was so good at being a smug bastard, you wonder if he was born like this or if he honed this craft. You open your mouth to really let him have it, but you don’t even get the chance.
Without another word, he snatches it clean from your hand in one smooth move, drops it into his trolley like he just won Olympic gold, and starts walking away, whistling.
You stand there, mildly offended but mostly impressed.
“Oh no, you did not just—” you march after him.
“Too slow, sweetheart,” he calls over his shoulder without turning around. “Better luck next time.”
“I hope it’s expired!” you shout after him.
You stop walking and watch as he struts off with your coffee like he was the King of Aisle Seven, you were planning his downfall in at least three different ways.
And two of them involved shopping carts.
After the grocery store incident, you were looking forward to having a reprieve from John Walker. But it was like fate or something more evil was forcing the two of you together. You have a PTA meeting the next night, and who do you see there but John, who was now becoming a permanent fixture in your life.
You sigh and sit in the only empty seat, which was next to him.
“Let’s not even speak,” You suggest you say as soon as your butt hits the seat.
“Fine with me,” John replies as he crosses his arms, looking away from you.
You sit there tapping your foot. It was almost painful being silent when everyone else was having conversations. Especially when you were next to a thief. You didn’t even get the opportunity to yell at him properly for swiping your coffee.
You finally break, “What you did yesterday was shitty.”
“And I thought we weren’t going to speak.”
“I’ll be sick if I don’t call out injustice when I see it.”
John laughs, and you want to strangle him. “You’re still thinking about that? I’m constantly on your mind, aren’t I?”
You shift in your seat, feeling the heat climbing up the back of your neck. How dare he even suggest that? Yes, you were thinking about him, but only about all the ways you wanted to destroy him.
“Don’t flatter yourself,” you snap under your breath.
The meeting starts before he can muster up a comeback. You catch yourself zoning out as the agenda drags on, filled with tedious updates about the bake sale and a desperate plea for chaperones for the 3rd-grade trip to Lake Maribelle.
You swing your leg absentmindedly and accidentally bump his shin. It’s genuinely an accident.
“Did you just kick me?” he whispers.
“Well, maybe if you weren’t taking up half the space with your big—”
“You’re unbelievable—” He interrupts, turning his body to face you.
“—gangly legs, then you wouldn’t have gotten hit,” You whisper your sentence over his.
Your whispered bickering is only interrupted by the teacher at the front calling both your names.
“You’ll help chaperone the trip to Lake Maribelle?”
With all those expectant eyes on you, how could either of you say no?
“Yeah…”
“Of course…”
You both reply sheepishly at the same time.
“Great, I’ll sign the two of you up.”
ᯓ⚽︎ ᯓ⚽︎ ᯓ⚽︎
Stepping onto the bus, you watch as Lily disappears to go sit with her friend, leaving you with a slight pang of loneliness. You head to the front and slump into your seat, next to who else but John, because you can’t even be surprised. You really needed to start arriving at places earlier to avoid sitting next to him, but here you were.
It’s a four-hour ride, and you can already feel your exhaustion creeping in. You try to keep yourself alert, but your eyes are heavy. Before you know it, your head tilts to the side, falling onto his shoulder.
John glances down at you, noticing how tired you look. He’s always been perceptive like that. He doesn’t say anything at first, just shifts slightly to give you more space. But when he feels you drift further, he gently shifts, adjusting his posture. His shoulder feels like a small slice of comfort amidst the exhaustion.
He lets you use his shoulder the whole ride. You looked quite peaceful when you weren’t trying to rip his head off, quite beautiful too. John catches the thought and tosses it out. He couldn’t be caught slipping, you were his mortal enemy after all.
The bus reaches the camp, and suddenly, it jerks to a stop. Your head flies forward, but before you can react, John’s hand shoots out, catching your forehead in the palm of his hand just in time.
“Thanks,” you mumble, a little embarrassed but too tired to really care.
He just hums in response, his fingers lightly grazing your skin for just a second longer than necessary. “Quick reflexes.”
Hoping off the bus, you notice the camp leaders waiting to greet the kids. You stand off to the side ensuring everyone gets off the bus when you notice one of the teachers, Miss. Lucas, sidling up next to John, laughing a little too loudly at something he barely said. Your eyes narrow without even realising it, and your fist subconsciously tightens. It’s like a sudden surge of irritation hits you.
The worst part is that you don’t even know why you're so bothered. You’re pretty sure it's just your general distaste for him as a person, and anything he does seems to irritate you. That felt like the easiest explanation. No need to dig deeper into that nagging feeling in your chest, like someone’s poking it with a stick. You shake it off, willing yourself to focus on something else, anything else.
After you get the kids all settled in for the first activity, though, it hits you like a ton of bricks. The exhaustion. You’re winded in a way you don’t remember being before. You try to shake it off, but it’s clear that you’ve reached your limit for the day. This trip wasn’t as easy as you thought it would be, and now, even a simple walk feels like you’ve run a marathon.
You take a deep breath, looking around for a moment to regain your composure. There's no need to make a bigger deal out of it. Just power through, you tell yourself. But it’s harder than you expected, and you can’t help but wonder if it’s more than just the physical exhaustion that's weighing on you.
But at least John was out of sight. You didn’t have to see him on the nature walk or the obstacle course, but you’d have to supervise the canoeing together. You make it out there first, sitting on the dock as the kids are getting in the canoes with the instructors. A smile tugs at your lips as you see how excited Lily is, her face lighting up as she waits for her turn, then spotting you in the crowd. She waves enthusiastically, and you wave back, your heart swelling just a little at the sight of her so happy.
“Nice day out,” John says, looking out at the water. You’re shaken to your core. Not just because you didn’t hear him walk up, but because of what he said. What was this? A normal conversation starter?
You open your mouth to respond, but you're cut off by Miss. Lucas' syrupy voice slicing through the moment like a dull butter knife.
“It really is, and John, you really should wear sunglasses. With how blue your eyes are, the way the sun hits them is just distracting,” she purrs, twirling a lock of her overly straightened hair.
It’s laced with flirtation and just enough condescension to make your skin crawl.
You roll your eyes — hard.
John notices.
“What? You don’t like the sun?” he asks, amused now, that sharp gaze flicking to you like he already knows he’s poking the bear.
“I like the sun,” you answer evenly.
“Then what were you rolling your eyes at, huh?”
You’re so tempted to say exactly what’s on your mind. To call out Miss. Lucas’s thinly veiled thirst trap of a compliment, but you catch yourself. The last thing you need is her holding some petty grudge against Lily over adult nonsense.
So instead, you force a too-sweet smile and say, “None of your business.”
He chuckles, clearly entertained.
Miss. Lucas doesn’t seem to notice any of it. She’s still lingering like a wasp at a picnic.
John tilts his head, a grin still playing at his lips. “Touchy.”
Stepping into your space, he does that thing, that infuriating thing, where he leans in just enough to make your breath hitch but not enough to break any rules.
You guys just couldn’t seem to be near each other without someone stepping over the invisible line.
“And you’re observant,” you shoot back, voice low. “Someone might think you’re a little obsessed.”
His brow lifts. “Is that right?”
“You know what? I’m sorry, I'm being rude. Let me ask you this,” you say, your voice sweet and dangerous all at once, “Do you like water?”
“What kind of question is—?”
Splash.
He never finishes.
You shove him clean off the dock, and he crashes into the freezing lake with a satisfying crash. A few heads turn at the sound, followed by laughter, mostly from the kids.
John surfaces, sputtering, slicking his hair back with both hands as he glares up at you like a betrayed golden retriever.
“It’s freezing!” he shouts.
“Oh no,” you gasp dramatically, hand to your chest. “Is it? I had no idea.”
He blinks the water from his eyes, slow and deliberate, before gripping the edge of the dock with both hands and pulling himself up in one smooth, effortless motion.
It’s… a problem.
You might hate the man, scratch that, you definitely hate the man, but God help you, he had the audacity to look good doing literally anything. The sunlight caught the drops of water rolling down his arms, his shirt plastered to the ridges of his abs and the degenerate part of your brain wanting to see them with his shirt off.
His hair dripped, tousled and messy in a way that looked too perfect to be accidental. It was like watching someone climb out of a cologne commercial.
You bite your lip instinctively, then immediately cover it up with a cough and a scowl.
He strides toward you, soaking wet, every squelching footstep a declaration of petty war. You’re forced to crane your neck to meet his eyes as he stops in front of you.
“You’re lucky,” he says, water still dripping from his sleeves, “that one of us knows how to act like an adult.”
You raise your eyebrows, lips twitching despite yourself. “You sure it’s you?”
He huffs a humourless laugh, then turns and walks down the dock toward the cabins, leaving behind a trail of wet footprints and a hundred silent thoughts you’re too proud to say out loud.
You watch him go and tell yourself it’s because you want to see if there’s the off chance he falls in.
Definitely not because of the view.
You’re watching your back the rest of the day, fully expecting some form of petty revenge. A frog in your shoe, a cold fish under your pillow, maybe even your toothbrush mysteriously tasting like lake water. But nothing happens.
No pranks. No payback.
You’re in the clear.
Now, sitting by the campfire, the sky a hazy lavender above the treeline, things feel… calm. The kids are running wild around the open field, fireflies blinking to life as marshmallows roast and someone strums a guitar softly in the distance.
“Hi,” a small voice says beside you.
You turn and see Tommy, John’s son, standing there with a hesitant smile.
“Hey, having fun?” you ask, shifting to make room.
He nods and sits next to you, pulling his knees up to his chest. “The nature walk was pretty cool, and me and my friends loved the obstacle course. And the canoeing was fun too… even though you pushed my dad in the lake.”
You groan lightly, a hand going to your face. “Yeah, about that…”
The guilt hits, a pang of embarrassment. You knew your behaviour was juvenile. Funny, sure, but maybe not your finest moment, especially in front of the kids.
You laugh under your breath and shake your head. “I shouldn’t have done that.”
“It was pretty funny,” Tommy admits, “And I know you and my dad have problems.”
You feel even more ashamed that it was bleeding into your kids' lives too.
“My dad can be a lot,” he says, kicking a pebble with the toe of his shoe. “But he’s just… I don’t know. He tries really hard. Especially for me.”
It helped you understand John a little better. The bluster, the sarcasm, the stubborn streak a mile wide… It wasn’t just pride or ego. It was effort. The kind that comes from someone trying to do right, even if it comes out messy. You could appreciate that because you were the same way.
And if he’d raised such a polite kid, then he couldn’t be all bad. Not even close.
“Have you seen him, by the way?” Tommy asks.
“Not lately,” you say, then gesture toward the table behind you. “But you can have some marshmallows while you wait, if you want.”
“Sure!” he says, lighting up as he grabs a stick and starts roasting.
John comes back to see something he wasn't expecting. The bane of his existence, laughing with his son and roasting marshmallows. Tommy didn’t warm up to most people that easily, so when he sees him lighting up with you, his opinion of you shifts. Maybe you weren’t an evil witch.
You still got a bucket of freezing lake water poured over you the next morning, though.
ᯓ⚽︎ ᯓ⚽︎ ᯓ⚽︎
You’re out running errands, finally—blissfully—alone. Lily’s spending the weekend at your parents' place, which meant you had time to catch your breath, clean without stepping on glitter, and maybe finally recover from the whirlwind that was the school trip.
You understood John better. You still thought he was annoyingly smug, sure, but maybe not completely irredeemable.
But you weren’t getting ahead of yourself. He was still the same cocky asshole you met yelling across a soccer field... right?
Just as you’re mulling that over, tongue in cheek, deciding if you’d imagined all the softness, you feel your car begin to slow down.
“What the—?”
You frown, tapping the gas. Nothing. A few panicked beeps. Then a sputter.
You manage to pull off to the side of the road just as the engine completely gives out, your car coasting to a reluctant stop.
“No, no, no!” you shout, slamming your palms against the steering wheel.
This couldn’t be happening. Not today. Not when you finally had a few hours of peace and you were this close to getting Thai food and going home to binge terrible reality TV.
With a heavy sigh, you get out and open the bonnet, even though you have no idea what you’re looking for. Wires? Steam? A glowing red light labeled you’re screwed?
You’re standing there, staring blankly into the guts of your car, when you hear it, a car slowing down behind you and parking behind you.
You barely glance back, already waving them off. “Thanks, I’m good—”
But then you hear a too-familiar voice say, “Well, that doesn’t look promising.”
Of course.
You turn around slowly.
And there he is.
John Walker, ladies and gentlemen.
“Need a hand?” he asks, already strolling over like he’s been waiting his whole life to rescue you.
“I uh…” You start becasure you’re so tempted to say “I got this” but the moment your eyes look back at whatever the fuck is going on in your car, you sigh.
“Do you have a toolbox?” he’d asked.
“Yeah, it’s in the boot,” you’d said, thinking nothing of it.
Then he came back, popped the hood, and casually peeled his shirt off with a warning: “Don’t read into anything. I just don’t want grease on my shirt.”
“I didn’t say anything,” you replied, a little too quickly.
You didn’t say anything, but that sure as hell didn’t stop you from watching. Because damn. The man was all broad shoulders, and strong arms that had no business looking that good twisting bolts.
You could’ve watched him work all day.
“Try starting it,” he called, interrupting your horny thoughts.
You slid back into the driver’s seat, turned the key, and the engine roared to life. It’s a miracle.
“Thank you, seriously.”
He leaned over the hood, smug smile fully loaded. “No problem. That should get you moving, but you definitely need to take this to a garage. I can come with you, if you want.”
Seeing the way your face contorts, he follows up with an explanation before you start berating him again.
“You’ll need a ride home after, won’t you?”
“Oh, true… I guess I’ll take you up on your offer. I mean as long as I'm not keeping you from Tommy, am I?” You say as you watch him put his shirt back on.
“No, he's at his grandparents’ place.”
“Oh same with Lily,” You admit.
“Guess we have some errands to run together then.”
ᯓ⚽︎ ᯓ⚽︎ ᯓ⚽︎
You arrive back home in his car and say “Home sweet home,” because you didn’t know what the fuck you were talking about. Ever since you watched him fix your car, haggle down the price of your repair with the mechanic and drive you home, you’d been in a bit of a daze. A ‘John Walker is the perfect man’ daze to be exact.
“Do you ... wanna come in?” You say, the words escaping you, but what you didn’t expect was his reply.
“Sure.”
You welcome him in, trying to ignore the flutter in your chest as John casually walks around your house.
It was clean, for once and cosy too, filled with little signs of your life with Lily. Pictures lined the walls: school plays, messy birthday parties, soccer games. Her drawings were stuck to the fridge with mismatched magnets.
“This you?” John asks, voice tinged with amusement.
You turn to see him holding a framed photo from the shelf, a younger you, maybe around Lily’s age, standing proudly in a baseball uniform, cap askew and a dirt-smudged grin on your face.
You roll your eyes but smile. “Yeah. I peaked in Little League.”
He chuckles, eyes still on the photo. “You look like you were about to take someone out at home plate.”
“I probably did.”
He glances over at you, that familiar smirk on his face. “Not much has changed then.”
You snort. “Are you calling me aggressive?”
“I’m saying I’d definitely want you on my team,” he replies, setting the photo down gently. “You were a force to be reckoned with, no doubt,” he says with a chuckle.
“Always.”
“Are there more?” he asks, leaning a little closer with that annoyingly charming glint in his eye.
You cross your arms, sitting back a little as you narrow your eyes. “Nuh uh. We are not going through my baby pictures.”
“Yes, we are.”
And five minutes later, you were both on the couch with a photo album spread across your lap.
“You even look like a soccer ball in this one,” he teases, pointing to a photo of you in a puffy striped onesie.
“I bet you were an ugly baby,” you fire back, sticking your tongue out at him.
“I’ll have you know I was adorable. Practically a Gerber baby.”
He flips a page and pauses. “Is this you or Lily?”
“That’s Lily,” you say, your smile softening.
“She looks just like you.”
“I like to call her my twin,” you laugh. “And she hates it.”
Time ticks by, and you barely even notice it. The room has dimmed with the setting sun, shadows creeping in, and a warmth building low in your stomach. You’ve been flipping through photo albums for what must’ve been hours, laughing and teasing each other like it’s the most natural thing in the world.
Then you hear it, John’s stomach growling, loud and unmistakable. You glance at him, and he’s already giving you a sheepish smile. Clearly, you’re both thinking the same thing.
“I was going to order Thai,” you say casually. “If you wanted to stay for dinner.”
He hesitates for only a second. “I’d like that.”
Later, the two of you are curled up on the couch, takeout containers spread between you, Real Housewives playing in the background. The chaotic drama on screen contrasts with the quiet ease between you.
It had been so long since you’d just relaxed like this with someone—someone who wasn’t Ava or Lily. And it felt good. Easy. Right.
“I have a suggestion, feel free to say no.”
“Hit me,” John says, leaning back against the couch, one arm draped over the cushion behind you.
You bite back a grin. “I have a bottle of whiskey that’s begging to be opened. Wanna throw on some music and help me put it out of its misery?”
He lifts an eyebrow, a slow smile creeping onto his face. “Why not?”
ᯓ⚽︎ ᯓ⚽︎ ᯓ⚽︎
You shouldn’t drink around him. At this point, you were touchy and honestly just saying shit for the sake of saying shit. You’re not too drunk but definitely tipsy enough to say whatever comes to your mind.
“I haven’t seen Tommy’s mom around. Did you guys split up?” you blurt out, half-curious, half-dreading the answer. You feel a drop in the atmosphere as his hands seem to tighten on the glass.
“Sorry, you don’t need to answer. That was weird of me to ask…” You're trying to backtrack as quickly as possible.
“Oh no, it’s okay, she uh,” he says quietly. “She passed a few years ago.”
You pause, your posture softening. “I’m so sorry…”
“It’s alright,” he says, voice low but steady. “Still tough without her, but we manage.”
He glances down, like he’s trying to ground himself before continuing.
“I’d like to say I was a good husband, but I was always away in the army. I could’ve been better before she…” He trails off, eyes now solely focused on the liquid swirling in his glass.
You stay quiet, wanting to listen rather than rush in.
“When I came back from my last tour, she was already sick. But for a while, we were okay. We were happy. Then she got worse. It was hard seeing her like that when she was so full of life before I left. I felt like I had missed so much, and when she…” He pauses again, his voice catching in his throat like he was being choked.
“Tommy’s the only thing that kept me going after. I’m always scared I’ll mess things up with him and miss the important stuff. That I already am.”
He exhales sharply, almost laughing at himself. “Shit. Sorry. I’m rambling.”
“Not at all,” you say gently, shaking your head. “And I can tell you’re a good dad. Anyone can. He's such a sweet kid and he adores you.”
He looks at you then, and for once, there’s no smirk, no one-liner. Just quiet gratitude.
“Thanks,” he says. “That means more than you know.”
You both take another drink, the burn lingering in your throat like something you don’t mind holding onto for a while.
“What about you? I noticed there aren’t any pictures of Lily’s dad around,” he asks, voice softer now, like he’s not just making conversation anymore.
“We got divorced ages ago. He was a total disaster.”
You let out a dry laugh, one that doesn’t quite reach your eyes.
“We got married too young, had Lily, got divorced two years in and… I honestly can’t even remember the last time he showed up for her. No birthday messages, no calls. Nothing.”
You pause, trying not to let the anger twist your words.
“It’s a shame because she’s so amazing,” you add, staring into your glass. “And her dad doesn't give her the time of day and never has. She deserves so much better than that, and I wish I could be everything for her, but I…”
John’s quiet, listening. Really listening, giving you the space that you gave him.
“It’s hard doing it on your own,” you say, looking up at him. “I know you get that.”
He nods slowly, then offers a small, warm smile. “It’s his loss. She’s a kick-ass kid with a pretty kick-ass mom.”
You laugh, the real kind this time.
“I genuinely thought you were about to fight me the day we met,” he says, that familiar smirk tugging at his lips.
You grin. “I was about to fight you.”
“Very hot.”
You roll your eyes, but you’re smiling and, for the first time in a long time, it doesn’t feel exhausting to let someone in.
“Okay, Mr. Tight-White-Shirt,” you tease, raising an eyebrow.
He smirks instantly. “Ah, so you were ogling me that day.”
Damn. You walked right into that one.
“A woman can’t appreciate the male form?” you say, all mock innocence.
John laughs, shaking his head as he takes another drink. The music shifts, a different song now, low and smooth, some classic jazz number that’s always sounded like warmth and memory and late nights.
You perk up instantly. “John, we have to dance.”
He blinks. “What?”
“C’mon!”
Before he can argue, you’re already pulling him to his feet drunkenly. He hesitates for half a second, then relents because, of course, he does. His hands find your waist, cautious at first, and you wrap your arms around his neck as if it’s the most natural thing in the world.
“I can’t remember the last time I slow danced,” you murmur against his chest.
“Same,” John says quietly. “In all honesty, it was… probably my wedding.”
“Damn, me too,” You let out a low laugh. “Did you go all out?”
“We tried,” he nods. “We had lessons and everything. I remember practising in our tiny apartment, knocking over chairs and swearing a ton.”
She grins. “I bet you were shit.”
John, very much in ‘John’ fashion, gasps. “Correction, I was the shit.”
“Oh really?”
“Yeah, and I’m gonna show you. Get ready to be dipped.”
Your eyes widen as you look up at him, suspicion written all over your face. “No way. You’ll drop me.”
He smirks. “I won’t. Trust me. I’m strong and very capable.”
Before you can protest again, he spins you, just fast enough to make your stomach flip. And you squeal, laughing as you come back into his arms.
“See?” he says, proud as hell. “Didn’t hurt a hair on your pretty head.”
You’re still laughing, slightly breathless, heart thudding in your chest for reasons that have very little to do with the dancing.
“I hate to say it,” you murmur, “but that was quite smooth.”
“Careful. Keep talking like that, and I might think you like me.”
You look up at him and realise, you’ve never been this close to him, unless you count getting in his face at a soccer match, but this was different. It was a whole new type of tension.
“Whatever…” you say, but it comes out with no bite. Not even close.
Maybe because you’re tipsy, but under the dim lighting of your living room, with the jazz still murmuring in the background and that stupid, crooked smile on his face.
You reach up, fingers brushing his cheek before you even fully realise what you're doing.
“I like your beard,” you blurt out, your thumb lightly grazing the line of it.
He blinks, surprised, not because of what you said, but because of how gently you said it.
“Yeah?” he says, voice a little quieter now.
He’s not able to get another word out before you’re kissing him, soft and tender. His hands cup your face as he kisses you like there’s a magnet pulling you to him. Your hands roaming over each other’s bodies, hands desperate to touch skin. He lifts you off the floor, your lips not breaking contact. You wrap your legs around his waist and his hands cup your ass as he walks you over to a wall. Pressing you against it and kissing your neck like he’s trying to consume you. “Oh, John…”
Breathing heavily and looking into each other’s eyes.“Upstairs, first door on the right.”
Your back hits the wall again, but gently this time, his lips brushing over yours before pulling back just enough to ask, “You sure?”
You nod, breathless. “Go.”
He carries you like it’s effortless, one hand steady beneath your thigh, the other gripping the bannister as he takes the stairs two at a time.
Reaching the top, he kicks the door open with his foot. The room is dim, the late evening light bleeding through the curtains, but neither of you cares. You pull his shirt over his head and toss it aside. His mouth is on yours again before it hits the ground.
You fall into the bed together, tangled and wild and urgent, but with something else beneath it all. Something tender. Like every kiss and touch is catching up on lost time you didn’t even know you missed.
“Mind if I leave marks?”
“You can,” You gasp out and he goes to work, biting and sucking your skin. In all honesty, your drunk brain needed a memento, a way to remind sober-you that this wasn’t some sex dream.
You feel his strong hands wrap around your wrists, and he squeezes them. Not enough to hurt, but enough for you to feel his presence.
“I want you,” John breathes and it sounds so good hearing it. Like you had both finally done away with pretense and given in to what you wanted to do since you met which was rip your clothes off and fuck eachother senseless.
He starts kissing his way down your body, taking his sweet time in making you feel good. Reveling in the way you react to him.
When he reaches your panties, he doesn’t hesitate to tug them off his teeth and the sight of him doing that nearly kills you.
He starts eating you out like a man possessed, his beard tickling your inner thighs. He needs your pussy on his face and he needs it now. As he licks and sucks, driving you insane, your legs start slowly closing, trying to shy away from how good it felt. He catches them, prying them back open.
“Keep them open for me.”
You nod but he wants more than that.
“Tell me.”
“I’ll keep my legs open for you,” You say and you think you’d do the splits on his face if he wanted.
“Good girl,” he smirks before going back to ruining you. It had been too long since you felt like this, but even then, you had never felt like this. You were feverish and sensitive, fighting to keep yourself sane. You never recall feeling like you were dying of happiness when anyone else had gone down on you. Must be the John Walker effect.
The more you struggle and shake, the more pressure he applies. His hand rests on your stomach to hold you in place as he sucks on your clit.
Feeling the pleasure growing, you instantly try to muffle your moans with your fist. He moves his mouth away from your aching core and reaches up with one of his hands, moving your fist away. You look at him with reverence and surprise.
“You don’t need to hide…” He says, his other hand still moving inside you, “I want to hear you.”
You don’t speak right away. You just look at him, this man who had once driven you absolutely insane, who now felt like the only person who could see through all the armour.
“I’m not used to being seen,” you finally whisper.
“I know,” John says, brushing your knuckles with his thumb. “But I see you.”
He moves back into position between your legs, and you let him have every moan you have.
“John!”
You finish, back arching, legs trembling and clenching down on his head with your thighs so hard you’re scared you might kill him.
But he doesn't stop, instead going faster. “H-hey!” You moan out as you kick your legs around, which he clearly takes as a challenge.
Wrangling your legs and pinning them over your head, your body now in the shape of a backwards C.
“You’re lucky I’m not tying you up,” John comments and you shiver at how good that sounds.
He gets up on his knees, continuing to lick at your trembling folds as he fingers you even faster, adding a third finger that had you moaning in desperation.
It's like he's set your whole body on fire, the feeling of your lost orgasm threatening to push you straight into another one.
“John, it’s so…” You croak, your eyes focusing and unfocusing. “Think I’m gonna cum again.”
At this point, your voice is hoarse, each touch he’s giving you making you scream and cry out like you’ve never done before.
“Yeah? You wanna be a good girl and cum for me?”
You nod, your eyes gassy with tears, “Wanna be your…your good girl.”
You could feel something coming, as he goes back to sucking on your clit, his fingers massaging your G-spot.
It only takes a few moments before you're letting your body relax and squirt all over his fingers, the pleasure washing over you in waves. You’re too undone to make a noise, breathing heavily and choking on air. There are a few seconds where you think you’ve died.
He unfolds you, and you lie back down on the bed, needing him instantly.
“John,” You whine, reaching out for him, and he’s right there, pulling you into his arms and taking care of you.
“What about you?” You ask. He had just about taken you to heaven and believe me you wanted to return the favour.
“Next time.”
Your heart flutters with the thought of a ‘next time’.
“Okay,” You snuggle against him and fall asleep together in pure bliss.
You wake up in the morning, expecting to feel John’s arms around you. But there's no one there. You sit up and look around, but find nothing. No note explaining where he was and his car's no longer in the driveway.
You came to the conclusion, he woke up, saw you and decided that it was a mistake. It was disappointing but you’re used to being disappointed.
So much for I see you’.
So much for ‘next time’.
ᯓ⚽︎ ᯓ⚽︎ ᯓ⚽︎
The next couple of days are a blur, it’s back to business as usual. Soccer practice, laundry, answering emails with a fake sense of urgency. To anyone else, it seemed like nothing had changed, but not to your daughter.
“I saw Tommy yesterday,” she says casually as she sets her backpack down.
“Oh? How is he?” you ask, trying to sound neutral.
“Great, but his dad didn’t look too happy…”
Your ears perk up at that. He was also miserable? Good. It was his fault anyway… wasn’t it?
“You don’t look happy either.”
You flinch at how blunt she is. You should’ve known, there was no hiding anything from her. She might only be a kid, but she could read you like a book.
“Lily…” you start, but she cuts you off with the maturity of someone far beyond her years.
“Just be adults and talk to him…”
“It's not that simple,” Your voice is shaky with uncertainty. You're not even sure you'd be able to speak if you were face-to-face with him again.
“Well you need to especially since I’m going over to Tommy’s today.”
“You what?” you say, nearly falling out of your chair.
“You said I could,” she adds quickly. “Last week, before… whatever this is.”
Damn it. She was right. You had completely blanked on that. It was before the whole thing with John went bust.
You were conflicted with how you felt about John, but you wouldn’t let your issues affect her.
“Fine, go get your stuff. We leave in five.”
You drive over to his place, your heart dropping lower and lower as you get closer to his house. Your fingers grip your steering wheel like it’s your lifeline.
“You’re not coming in to say hi?” Lily asks almost incredulously.
“I think it’s best I don’t. I’ll be here at 6 to pick you up. Have fun!”
Lily doesn’t say anything at first; she just looks at you, brows raised, lips pursed like she’s debating whether or not to push. Was that what it was like to be on the receiving end of one of your judging looks? You didn't like it one bit.
But in the end, she sighs, unbuckles her seatbelt, and grabs her bag. “You two are so dramatic.”
He sees her first, ruffles her hair, then his gaze shifts past her, locking with yours through the windshield. It only lasts a second, but it’s enough. You look away first.
Then you drive off, trying not to think about him.
Hours pass, John is very much on your mind the entire time, and before you know it, you’re back at his house to pick up Lily. Walking your way up the driveway, you feel your nerves creeping in. You hesitate a second before ringing the doorbell.
“Hey,” John greets you, opening the door—and he looks just as good as the last time you saw him, maybe even better.
“Hey yourself,” you reply awkwardly, shifting your weight from one foot to the other.
There's the sound of footsteps thundering down the stairs, and then Tommy appears, greeting you with a wide grin.
“It’s time to go already?” Lily calls from behind him, voice dripping with faux innocence. She was laying it on thick.
Before you can answer, Tommy jumps in. “Can you and Lily stay for dinner?”
“I don’t know…” You start, unsure how to say no politely.
“Dad, convince her. We’re having your famous spagbol,” Tommy adds, eyes hopeful.
You catch the look on his face—so earnest, so excited—and then turn to John. An easy smile creeps onto your face despite yourself.
“Famous, huh?”
John smirks. “It’s pretty good, if I do say so myself.”
ᯓ⚽︎ ᯓ⚽︎ ᯓ⚽︎
By the time dinner is ready, it feels easy with him, dangerously easy. You sit around the table with him and the kids, laughing between bites of spaghetti, the kind of domestic quiet that used to feel foreign now curling around you like a blanket. It felt so right. But still, there’s that persistent whisper in the back of your mind — If he wanted this, really wanted this, he would’ve stayed that night.
Before you can spiral too deep into your own thoughts, Tommy pipes up brightly, “Can Lily and I have a sleepover?”
You glance at John, caught off guard. “Lily and I should really get going, plus Lily doesn’t have anything to change into.”
“I brought clothes and my toothbrush,” Lily says far too quickly.
You narrow your eyes. “And why did you do that if you were just supposed to stay for the afternoon?”
Lily and Tommy exchange a look — a guilty, sheepish look that screams we planned this.
John chuckles under his breath, clearly catching on. “I wouldn’t mind,” he says, glancing at you. “I could set up a spot for Lily in Tommy’s room.”
“You should stay too!” Tommy adds enthusiastically, eyes shining with innocent matchmaking energy.
“I don’t have any pyjamas to sleep in, Tom,” you say, raising an eyebrow.
“You can borrow my dad’s!” he says like it’s the simplest solution in the world.
You blink. These kids were really committing to the bit.
“I wouldn’t want to intrude…” You begin, your voice a little quieter, your gaze flicking to John.
“You wouldn’t be,” he says, meeting your eyes. “I have a guest room. It’s yours if you want it.”
His voice is calm, but there’s something soft in it. An invitation. Like he wanted you to stay.
“It’s decided then,” Your daughter interjects before you can try to squirm out of it.
You had been tricked by two 9-year-olds; this was a new low.
The hours drifted by as you sat in the living room, all watching a movie together.
Your eyes were fixed on the screen, but all you could think about was John. The fact that sitting just a few feet away, but still felt so far away.
Though if you had turned your head to look at him, you would’ve seen him looking back at you. His gaze would tell you everything you wanted to hear, but alas, that isn’t fate’s plan.
The movie ends, and the kids groan when John tells them it’s time for bed. It’s a whirlwind, as they rush around tuckering themselves out. Entering Tommy’s room, you go over to Lily, who’s already in bed, ready for you to tuck her in. You pull the blanket up to Lily’s chin, smoothing her hair like you do most nights, your voice soft in the dim glow of the bedside lamp.
“Remember, be an adult,” Lily says, reminding you not to be a coward, essentially.
“Goodnight, Lil,” You reply before kissing her forehead. Maybe, just maybe, you’d consider her words.
“Goodnight, Mom,” she murmurs, already half-dreaming.
You stand slowly, and as you turn to leave, you notice Tommy looking at you. His eyes are peeking out from under his blanket, lids heavy but alert.
You pause. “Do you want me to tuck you in, too?”
He hesitates, then gives the smallest nod, like he’s not quite sure he should, but wants to anyway.
You gently and carefully tuck him into his covers like you had with Lily. “There,” you whisper. “Comfy?”
“Yeah,” he mumbles, rubbing one eye. “Thanks, Mom.”
You’re shocked hearing him call you ‘Mom’. You glance down at him, already drifting off, lashes fluttering against his cheeks, completely unaware of the weight his words carried.
You swallow and manage a quiet, “Goodnight,” brushing his hair back gently before slipping out of the room. What you don’t know is that on the other side of the hallway, just out of sight, John is standing perfectly still.
He’d heard it too.
He didn’t know how to respond to it either, wasn’t sure what it meant or what came next, but for now, he was just… happy. Happy that his son felt safe with you.
Later that night, you lie flat on your back, staring at the ceiling of the guest room, your thoughts louder than the quiet hum of the house. The shadows shift with the streetlight outside, but your mind stays frozen. You were wearing his shirt, and he was on your mind. It smelled like him, and you could imagine his arms around you. You bury your face in it, wishing that he was with you and not in a room down the hallway.
You needed to confront what happened that night. You hadn’t talked about it since. It lingered like static between you, unspoken but never forgotten. And you couldn’t keep pretending it didn’t matter, not when it meant everything.
You needed to know if he wanted you when you’re both sober.
So, gathering every ounce of courage, you throw off the blanket, slide quietly out of bed, and make your way down the hall to his room. The floor feels colder than you expected. Or maybe that’s just your nerves.
You stop in front of his door.
Raise your fist.
And then… freeze.
You stand there for what feels like forever, five minutes, at least, your knuckles hovering midair. Your heart pounds loud enough to fill the silence, your thoughts racing. What if he didn’t feel the same? What if that night was just a mistake?
Suddenly, the door swings open, and it startles the living hell out of you — your fist, already midair, connects squarely with his face.
“Oh fuck,” you whisper-shout, eyes wide as John stumbles back, one hand instantly flying to his nose.
“Shit,” he groans, squinting in pain and trying to blink away the surprise. “You can throw quite a punch.”
“Oh my god, John. Holy fuck. I am so, so sorry,” you ramble, panic surging through you as you hover uselessly in front of him. “Let me get ice, I’ll fix it… just, don’t die.”
You spin around and scuttle off toward the kitchen, trying to keep your footsteps light even though your heart’s thudding like a drum solo. The freezer is a disaster. No ice trays. Who doesn’t have ice trays?
You spot something. Grab it.
Moments later, you return with a sheepish expression and a frozen bag clutched in your hand.
“I couldn’t find an ice tray,” you mutter, pressing the bag gently to his face, “so I got peas.”
You sit down with him on the bed, holding the bag of peas to his nose. “That won’t bruise or anything, right?”
“No, I’ll be okay. Worried about my handsome face, are you?” John jokes, and you’re just glad he has a sense of humour about it.
You groan and drop your forehead onto his shoulder, mortified. “This was not how I pictured this going.”
His hand gently touches the small of your back. “You were coming to talk to me, right? About… us?”
You nod against him. “Yeah. Before I assaulted you.”
“Let’s start there,” he says, pulling back just enough to meet your eyes with a crooked smile. “Because I was kinda hoping we’d finally talk about it too.”
“Really? It didn’t feel like that since you ran,” you say, voice low. You were trying not to sound hurt, but you were. He weighs like the weight of the world is on his shoulders and moves his bag of peas off his face to look at you.
“You’re right to be mad. I just… I panicked when I woke up next to you.”
“You were regretful,” you say, attempting to finish his sentence. His eyes widen, and his mouth parts like he’s about to protest.
“No, no—that’s not it at all. I was scared. That if you saw me when you woke up, you’d think it was a mistake.”
He takes a breath, shuffling closer. “You’re unlike anyone I’ve ever met. You’re such a pain in the ass, always calling me out and keeping me on my toes. But also kind, and funny, and you make me feel so… alive.”
His hand lifts gently, your cheek resting against his palm. It feels perfect, like this is what fate had in store all along.
“I'm an idiot for running but I do like you. I’m falling for you,” he says, his voice barely above a whisper.
You smile, heart racing. “I’m falling for you, too, John Walker.”
Pulling him in, your hands still cold and wet from holding the bag of peas, but he doesn’t care. You kiss him like it’s the only thing keeping you upright—like if you stop, everything might collapse around you.
The two of you pull your clothes off each other's bodies but there's no rush. Each layer that comes off brings you that much closer together.
Now completely naked you sit in front of him and you can see why he has all that confidence. His fingers tangle in your hair and he's about to kiss you when you stop him.
“Will they hear?”
“There's a couple rooms between us, they won't hear as long as you're not too loud.”
“We both know that's going to be a challenge,”You say, recalling the way you were hollering when he ate you out. You're surprised that none of your neighbours issued a noise complaint.
“You need to try or I'll have to find something to gag you with,” John suggests, his voice low and sultry.
“Don't threaten me with a good time.”
He pressures you back into the bed and bites your neck hard enough to leave a big mark.
“You better hope no one asks about that.”
“Let them ask, you can explain to them exactly what I did to you.”
The marks don't stop there. By the time he's done you look like you've been attacked by a wild animal. Hickeys and love bites littered all over your skin, each one a testament of John's desire for you.
“Need you inside me,” You pant out already guiding him towards you with your legs.
He looks down at you with hooded eyes the anticipation eating you alive before he wraps his arms around you and carries you off the bed.
“Where are we—?” You start but don't finish as you notice he's plopped you down right in front of a mirror.
It's the perfect solution for when someone wants to fuck you from behind and see you fall apart of their cock. Thank everything for whoever invented mirrors.
He lightly kicks your feet apart, hands gliding up your body before resting on your boobs.
You getting back against him, trying to feel him and needing him to fuck the daylights out of you. It had been long enough and you were tired of waiting.
“Impatient, aren't you?”
“I just need you. Don't make me suffer,” You pout, the mirror capturing the needy look in your eyes.
“Well, who am I to say no to you?” He says before lining himself up with your entrance and pushing in.
Anticipating the screen you were about to let out, he covers your mouth with his hand. Only the sound of his hips slapping against your ass echoing in the room.
“Look at yourself, look at how quickly you feel apart for me,” John whispers against your ear. And he was right. You were a complete mess after only a few thrusts, eyes watery as your neck arches into him.
“So good,” You manage to get out without screaming. He grabs you by the hair, exposing your neck too him as he gives you a few more hickeys for good measure. Rocking your hips into you as he paints your neck with his lips.
Suddenly, your hips are being lifted into the air as he wraps his arms around you as if getting ready to suplex you. The way he starts fucking you is just as disorientating as a suplex would be. He's hitting your sensitive spot dead on turning your legs to jelly as they dangle in the air.
He's manhandling like you're a doll and you love it, especially when you can see it all happening in the mirror. The way his veins on his arms were popping with effort as he milks his cock with your pussy like you're a fleshlight.
“That's it, breed me, John.”
Hearing you say that only made him double his efforts.
“Is that what you want? Want me to get you pregnant?” John says, his fingers gripping your hips, clearly excited at the prospect. You nod desperately like you need to have it or you'll die.
You gasp, whimper, cry and reaching out for anything to keep you quiet.
“N-need you to fill me up,” You stutter out, “Need your cum in me.”
Then you're given a brief break when he pulls you back from the mirror, tossing you back into the bed. But two seconds don't even pass before he's feeding his cock back into your needy hole.
“J-john!”
You squeal a little too loudly and never you know it his hand is on your chin guiding your own panties in your mouth.
“Such a pretty sight,” John says as he cages you, fingers intertwining as he pins you against the bed.
You know you won't be able to keep going much longer. Wrecked doesn't even begin to describe what you were and your orgasm was about to knock you into a whole new dimension.
Feeling his cock twitch, you lock your legs around his waist and he finishes deep inside of you which triggers your own orgasm. His hot cum fills you up, painting your fluttering walls as he effectively breeds you.
The both of you lay there catching your breath as your orgasms pulse through you. This was what life was about; having sex with hot single dads.
You come back to your senses, just barely and have an evil idea.
Seeing the opportunity fate had presented you for payback, you flip your positions climbing on top of him and riding him into overstimulation. A strangled cry that was supposed to be your name falling from his lips.
“Baby…” John whimpers as his body tenses up, abs contracting like he's already about to cum again.
You could get used to having him at your mercy, bottom lip trembling as he tries to keep it together.
“I like seeing you like this. So desperate for me and only me.” You pulling him to your lips by his hair. He groans but he's into it, he'd let you have your way with him just as much as you let him have his way with you.
“Only you,” He replies and you believe it.
Your hand away from his hair, letting John's head hit the mattress, before going in and leaving your own string of love bites. He bites his lip, all but writhing under your soft touch.
“Someone might see those.”
“Then you can explain to them what I did,” You say throwing his words back in his face.
You keep fucking until you tire yourselves out, your bodies sticky and heaving. It was as good as you imagined it would be and you're kicking yourself for not giving in earlier.
John's hand rests on your thigh tracing little patterns as you play with his hair when he asks a very pertinent question.
“Are you on birth control?”
Your eyes widen when you realise you are in fact not on birth control. With the downright sad lack of sex you were having before John walked into your life there was no reason to be on it.
“No”, You gulp,“We'll talk about it in the morning?”
John hums in agreement and holds you against his chest in a vice grip that screams “You're mine.”
In the morning, you’re happy to feel John’s arms still wrapped around you, his face pressed against your shoulder, his breath slow and even. Peaceful.
“Who wants pancakes?” you call out, later in the kitchen, sliding a golden stack onto the table with a grin.
You have a slow, sweet morning breakfast—the kind where everyone’s still in pyjamas, laughing over spilt flour and slightly burnt edges.
“Oh! Let me go get the syrup. Can you show me where it is, Tommy?” you ask.
Tommy nods enthusiastically, hopping up and heading toward the pantry with you, eager to help you find it.
Back at the table, Lily narrows her eyes at John, clearly sizing him up. Then, dead serious, she delivers:
“If you hurt my mom, you die. Understood?”
John blinks, caught off guard for a second, but then a slow smile tugs at his lips. He knew exactly where she got that intensity from.
“Understood.”
“Good,” Lily says, her expression finally softening. “You make great spagbol so I'd hate to have to kill you.”
ᯓ⚽︎ ᯓ⚽︎ ᯓ⚽︎
It’s been a few months since you and John started dating — the kind of comfortable, lived-in months where you had keys to each other's places, regularly took the kids out together, and fell asleep on the couch on each other.
Unlocking the door, John and Tommy step inside, and they’re immediately hit with the scent of burnt toast, a low hum of music, and the unmistakable energy of mild chaos. They were here to pick you and Lily up to carpool to the Saturday morning game, but it looked like they’d walked into a warzone, and at least it smelled like pancakes.
“Morning!” Tommy calls out as he looks around, hoping to catch a glimpse of you.
“Oh hi, guys,” you pant out from somewhere in the kitchen, out of breath and flustered. He doesn’t need to be able to see you to know you’re going through it.
Lily’s sitting at the dining room table, calmly sipping orange juice like she’s been through this before. Tommy runs over and sits beside Lily, swiping a pancake off her plate.
“Mom’s having a meltdown,” she says, totally unbothered. “It’s pretty intense. She yelled at the coffee machine.”
John raises an eyebrow and walks to the kitchen, and there you are, wearing one sock and a hoodie that you actually stole from John, batter on your cheek, surrounded by open containers and the remnants of pancake making.
“It’s so good to see you,” You cry as you practically jump into his arms. You let go of him so you can continue your spiral when he stops you.
“Honey, you’re running around like a headless chicken. Let me help,” John offers.
You hesitate, then sigh and reach into the mess on the counter and pull out a hairbrush. “Can you finish braiding Lil’s hair for me? She’s lost her lucky cleats, and I need to find them before we leave.”
“On it.”
He kisses your forehead, warm and steady, before heading into the kitchen.
Lily watches him approach with guarded suspicion. “Please don’t mess this up.”
John grins. “Don’t worry, I’m a professional.”
He ruffles her hair on purpose, just to rile her up, and she bats his hand away with a huff and a laugh.
Meanwhile, you’re darting around the house in full-on panic mom mode — lifting couch cushions, checking under the bed, even inside the fridge for some reason (you never know), until finally, you spot the missing shoes. Inside her toy chest, naturally, buried under a plastic tiara and two mismatched Barbie legs.
You walk back into the dining room to the sound of laughter, Tommy’s head thrown back as John tells some ridiculous story, funny voices and all. Lily’s giggling along too as he finishes tying off the braid with surprising skill.
You lean against the doorframe, heart swelling. It’s loud, it’s messy, but it’s yours. And in that moment, it hits you: this is what happy looks like.
“Found it,” you say, holding the shoes up triumphantly.
John looks up, grinning. “See? I told you everything would come together.”
You smile at him. This is perfect; he’s perfect.
“Are we ready to go?” you call out, grabbing your bag and keys.
They respond in a chorus of “Yeah!” and “Almost!” as shoes squeak across the floor.
Clambering into the car like a small tornado, Tommy buckles in and grins over at Lily. “Losing team’s parent buys ice cream,” he declares.
“Ohhh, bold move,” you say, raising your eyebrows in the rearview mirror.
“Looks like you’re buying ice cream,” John says smugly, sliding into the driver's seat, glancing at you like he already knows today’s outcome.
“In your dreams,” you shoot back, smirking as you start the engine.
This was the kind of happiness that sneaks up on you when you’re not paying attention—and all it took was yelling at a hot dad at a soccer game.

A Daddy's Girl | Stack Moore
Pairing: Elias 'Stack' Moore x Reader Summary: You're just Stack's type — feisty, strong willed, and damn pretty. Only thing is.. You won't give Stack the time of day on account of your daddy.
Your upbringing was a lil' different than girls your age. It was 1932 — you were nineteen, having grown up on your daddy's ranch. Instead of white cotton dresses, neatly combed hair, and puppies, you were raised wearing stained skirts, your hair wild and curly, riding horses and rejecting every boy that dared come near you.
Mama died when you were real young — too young to remember her face without staring at a photograph. Daddy did his best, though. He didn’t much care for you doing "girl’s work" when there were fence posts to mend and cattle to brand. So he raised you like he would’ve raised a son: rough around the edges, stubborn as a mule, and twice as fast with a rifle. By thirteen, you were driving the wagon solo into town. By sixteen, you could outshoot most men at the fair. And by nineteen, most folks knew better than to speak to you sideways.
Still, no matter how tough you acted, there was something that always drew in men. It was a competition almost. Any time you walked home from the schoolhouse at age 16, you heard them talkin'. The boys. Betting on who could secure a kiss first, maybe a date.
"First one to kiss the farmer’s daughter gets braggin’ rights for life," one of ‘em would say, real cocky. Like you were a trophy instead of a person.
But you weren’t some daisy to be picked. You were wild thistle — sharp, stubborn, and grown in hard soil.
None of those boys ever made it past your front gate. One tried and ended up limping back home with a busted lip and a bruised ego. After that, they mostly kept their distance. Called you a spitfire. A man’s girl. Trouble wrapped in curls and sunburn.
And maybe they were right.
You didn’t care much for dresses, or dancing, or sitting pretty at socials. You cared about the land, about your daddy, about making it through the droughts and the hard winters. You were proud of the calluses on your hands and the dirt under your nails. You knew how to clean a gun, break a horse, and break a man’s nose if need be. You didn’t need anyone — and that scared the hell out of every suitor that came sniffin’.
Until Stack Moore.
He was the opposite of his brother, though they were both law breakers. They'd come back into town like a storm, claiming it back again when they got sick of being men of war or taking over Chicago. They brought money, they brought booze, and they regained the enemies they'd always had before.
Your daddy knew exactly what type the Smokestack twins were. That's why he was so put out the day Stack spoke to you.
It was hotter than hell that afternoon, the kind of heat that made the air shimmer off the dirt road. You were hitchin’ the mule to the wagon outside the general store, sweat rollin’ down your spine, dust clingin’ to your boots. Stack leaned against a post with a matchstick between his teeth, lookin’ like the devil dressed in Sunday black — suspenders off his shoulders, shirt unbuttoned just enough to make your throat go dry.
"Need a hand, sweetheart?" he drawled.
You didn’t answer him. Just wiped your brow and kept workin’, jaw tight, heart louder than it oughta been. You felt his eyes on you like heat from a fire. That was the first time he spoke to you.
You grunted, finally getting it hitched, before glancing up at Stack with irritated (and curious, though you wouldn't admit it) eyes.
"I got it. Somethin' I can help you with, Stack?" You responded coldly. In a moment, your daddy would be coming out of the store. He wouldn't take kindly to Stack chatting you up.
Stack smirked, slow and easy, like he had all the time in the world and not a care who saw him spending it on you. That matchstick rolled between his teeth as he looked you over, not lewd, not disrespectful — but bold. Real bold.
"Nah, darlin’. Just figured I’d say howdy," he said, voice molasses-smooth with that slick edge he and his brother hadn’t lost, even after years in the city. "Hard not to, when you’re standin’ there lookin’ like trouble in a skirt."
You narrowed your eyes. "Keep talkin’ like that, and you’ll find yourself wearin’ that matchstick in your eye."
He laughed — a warm, low sound that made something flutter deep in your belly, though you kept your scowl firm. He liked that. You could tell. The way his head tilted slightly, his eyes sharpened like he was memorizing the way your mouth twitched when you were pissed.
"I like a woman who bites," he said.
You opened your mouth to fire back, but the screen door of the store slapped shut behind you. Daddy stepped out with his purchase — a sack of flour and a bottle of tonic. His boots hit the porch with that heavy rhythm that always said someone was about to get corrected.
Stack’s smirk didn’t fade, but he straightened up. He tipped his hat slow and easy, like he wasn’t worried one bit about the man standing between him and a shallow grave.
"Afternoon, Mr. L/N," Stack said, polite as a preacher.
Your daddy didn’t respond. Just stared Stack down, eyes like steel under the brim of his weather-beaten hat. You could feel the tension crackling in the air, thick and dangerous.
"You got business here?" your daddy asked, voice flat.
"Just admirin’ the view," Stack replied, not looking away from him — but the weight of his words sat heavy between you and your daddy. Like a line drawn in the dust.
You cleared your throat, loud enough to break the moment. "We done here, Daddy?"
Your father gave Stack one more look — the kind that could kill a lesser man — before nodding to you. "Yeah. Let’s get home. Storm’s comin’."
You climbed into the wagon without another word, trying not to think about how your skin still tingled from Stack’s gaze. As the mule started off, you glanced back once, just once — and saw him watching you, arms crossed, eyes lit up like he’d just spotted a gold vein in a rock.
It was the first time Stack Moore spoke to you. And the last time you knew peace for a long while.
When you got home, Daddy cleared his throat awkwardly, cleaning his gun in the common room of the house.
"Y/N." He called to you from where you stood in the kitchen.
You paused, hands deep in the dish basin, the soapy water stinging a nick on your finger you hadn’t noticed ‘til now. His voice was gruff, but there was something under it — something tight. Wary. Protective in that way only a father could be when he knew his daughter had just caught the eye of a wildfire in a man’s body.
"Yes, sir?" you called back, wiping your hands on a dish rag as you stepped through the archway into the common room.
He didn’t look up right away. Just kept running the cloth over the barrel of his Winchester with a quiet, deliberate focus. You could tell he was turning something over in his head, chewing on it like a dog with a bone.
"Stack Moore," he finally said, like the name tasted bad. "You stay away from him."
You blinked, caught off guard by the bluntness.
"Didn’t plan on inviting him for supper," you muttered, crossing your arms.
Daddy looked up then — sharp and dead serious. "I ain’t jokin’, girl. That boy’s got blood on his hands and more comin’. His kind don’t leave nothin’ but ruin behind."
You didn’t say anything. Mostly ‘cause you weren’t sure what you wanted to say. It was the first time a man had looked at you like you were a woman and not just the farmer’s wild daughter in scuffed boots. And maybe that was dangerous. Maybe Daddy was right. But maybe you didn’t give a damn.
"I know you think you’re grown,” he went on, his voice softening a bit, “but there’s men out there who take one look at a girl like you and see a challenge. Not a future. Stack Moore’s one of ‘em."
You swallowed, throat dry. "I’m not stupid."
"I didn’t say you were. I said he’s trouble. And I’ll be damned if I let him put you in harm’s way."
Silence hung between you. Thick as molasses. You could hear the wind picking up outside, dust scratching against the shutters. Storm was comin’, alright. But it wasn’t just in the sky.
You finally nodded. "I hear you."
He held your eyes for a long moment.
"You're better off with that Boone. If you really hafta marry. He's a nice boy and ain't gonna put you out when he has his fill."
Boone was a ranch hand your daddy had hired. He wasn't unattractive, no. He was tall, strong, worked with a smile and never complained. His parents were respectful and they were fans of how your daddy did business. Boone was who you should've been with, if you gave any man a chance.
He'd been pining after you since the two of you were sixteen.
You rolled your eyes, smirking in amusement.
"You like Boone so much, why ain't you marryin' him?"
Daddy’s face went dark, like you'd just knocked over a beehive.
"I’m your father. I make the calls ‘round here."
I folded my arms and leaned against the table, matching his glare. "Ain’t no law says I gotta marry the man you pick."
He set the gun down with a heavy thud. "It ain’t about law, girl. It’s about keepin’ you safe. Boone’s steady. He don’t bring trouble like those Moore boys."
You groaned.
"I ain’t sayin’ I’m takin’ up with Stack. But don’t reckon I’m gonna be Boone’s bride just ‘cause you want it."
He sighed, rubbing the back of his neck. "You’re stubborn as a mule, just like your mama."
You knew that was the final word.
But that night, long after the lights were out and the crickets had taken over the silence, you found yourself sittin’ on the edge of your bed, fingers twitchin’, heart restless. Because even though you’d said you understood, and even though you knew what kind of man Stack Moore was…
You also knew you weren’t the kind of girl who turned her head away from fire.
Your friend Lizzie had to beg you to go out.
"I swear, Y/N, one night won’t kill you," she said, tugging at your arm as you rolled your eyes. "You need to dance. Laugh. Hell, even just drink something that ain’t water or dust."
You weren’t exactly the type for blues clubs or lipstick-stained whiskey glasses, but Lizzie had that kind of persistence that wore you down like river water over stone. So by the time the sun dipped low and the sky bled pink, you were dressed — not dolled up like the city girls, but enough to turn a few heads in town: a dark skirt that hugged your hips, boots polished cleaner than usual, and your wild curls pinned just enough to look like you tried.
Club Juke was loud, smoky, and packed to the rafters. Lights glowed like sin on velvet, blues players' moaned from the corner stage, and the air buzzed with liquor and secrets. You followed Lizzie in, your fingers hooked into the belt loop of her dress, and tried not to flinch when a man brushed too close or looked too long.
You made it to the bar and ordered something you didn’t even hear over the noise — some whiskey drink served in a chipped glass. Lizzie had already pulled a fella onto the dance floor, leaving you with a half-sip of burn down your throat and the sudden awareness that someone was watching you.
You didn’t have to look far.
There he was. Stack.
Sitting in a corner booth like he owned the place (because he did), sleeves rolled, collar unbuttoned, smoke from a lit cigar curling around his jaw. His eyes were on you, unmoving. He didn’t smile. Didn’t wave. Just looked like he’d found exactly what he came here for.
Your pulse jumped. Damn it all.
You turned back to the bar, heart thudding. Maybe if you ignored him, he’d —
A warm voice slid in behind your ear like a sin on Sunday morning.
"Well now," Stack drawled, low and slow, "ain’t you a sight. Didn’t expect to see you in a place like this."
You didn’t turn around. Just took another sip of your drink, ignoring the heat rolling off him in waves.
"Didn’t come for you," you said coolly.
He chuckled. "Maybe not. But I figure fate don’t give a damn."
He moved beside you, close enough that your elbows brushed. You could smell leather, smoke, and something sharper — danger, maybe. He rested his forearms on the bar and nodded to the bartender.
"Two of whatever she’s drinkin’."
You shot him a glare. "What’re you doin’, Stack?"
He looked at you then — really looked — and for a moment, the noise of the club faded under his steady gaze.
"Tryin’ to figure out why a girl raised to fear me keeps lookin’ like she’s itchin’ to find out what makes me so damn interesting."
You swallowed.
Then, you fixed the usual glare back onto your face.
"Well, what the hell makes me so interesting? Everyone with a dick in this town can't look away."
Stack barked a quiet laugh, low and raspy, like he wasn’t expecting you to come back that sharp — but damn if he didn’t like it. He leaned in just a hair closer, eyes flicking from your mouth to your eyes and back again, that grin of his growing just a little wider, a little darker.
"What makes you interesting?" he echoed, voice like smoke. "You walk into a room like you own the land under everyone’s feet. You don’t smile unless you mean it, and you don’t flinch at a man like me." He tilted his head, still watching you. "That kinda thing makes folks look. Makes ‘em wonder."
You crossed your arms, hip cocked, not letting him get the upper hand. "You mean it makes ‘em bet. Run their mouths. Act like they got a chance."
Stack shrugged. "Let ‘em. Boys bet. Men watch. I’m just here enjoyin’ the view."
You scoffed. "You’re all the same."
His expression shifted then — just a flicker of something deeper beneath the charm. He leaned in again, but this time his voice dropped lower, real low, just for you.
"No, darlin’. If I were like them, I’d already be braggin’ about what I could do to you. Not sittin’ here waitin’ to see what you’ll let me do."
That shut you up for a second. Long enough for the air between you to grow thick and heavy.
Before you could fire back, the music kicked into a new number — a slow, sultry blues rhythm that rolled across the club like honey.
Stack held out a hand. "Dance with me."
You looked at his hand like it might bite you.
"I don’t dance."
He smirked. "Then just stand close and sway. I promise I bite softer than I look."
You stared at him, heart thudding somewhere stupid.
And then, without knowing why, you placed your hand in his.
His palm was warm. His grip was gentle. And your daddy’s voice was nowhere in your head when Stack pulled you onto the floor like he’d been waitin’ his whole damn life for this.
The floor didn’t feel real under your boots.
Stack's hand rested firm against the small of your back, pulling you close — but not too close. Just enough to feel the heat rollin' off him in waves, enough to smell the faint scent of whiskey and smoke on his collar. Your fingers hovered just barely on his shoulder, stiff at first, like you were afraid of giving in.
"You’re stiff as a fence post," he murmured against your temple, voice rough and warm. "Ain’t nobody lookin’ to bite."
"You just told me you were," you shot back, eyes narrowing even as you swayed to the rhythm.
That earned a quiet chuckle from him — one that rumbled in his chest and traveled straight through you.
The music curled around the two of you like a fog, blues guitar crooning through the haze of cigar smoke and perfume. Other dancers swayed nearby, but none quite like you and Stack. You moved like magnets pulling in, fighting it, pulling in again. A war with no guns — just glances, breath, and the occasional accidental brush of leg against leg.
His thumb stroked a small, deliberate circle at the back of your waist. You stiffened — just slightly — and he caught it.
"You alright, spitfire?" he asked, voice a low purr. "Ain’t used to men touchin’ you, or just not used to likin’ it?"
You glared up at him, lips parting to throw fire — but the words got stuck somewhere between your pride and the warmth blooming beneath your ribs.
"…You think just ‘cause you talk smooth, I’m gonna fall at your feet?" you finally snapped.
Stack leaned in, close enough that his breath kissed the edge of your jaw.
"No," he said. "I think you’ll fight me every inch of the way. And I like a fight."
The tension snapped taut between you, so tight it hummed. His hand slid just a breath lower on your back. Your fingers curled tighter into his shirt. You weren’t smiling, but you weren’t pulling away, either.
"I ain’t your conquest," you muttered.
"No," Stack said, eyes locked to yours like a vow. "You’re the kind of woman a man earns. Or dies tryin’."
The music slowed to a crawl. The last long note of a saxophone kissed the silence.
Neither of you moved.
You didn’t know who leaned in first — but suddenly your face was inches from his. Lips barely apart. Breath tangled.
"Lord.. If you ain't the devil."
His mouth curved just slightly — not a smile, not quite — something darker. Hungrier.
"Then what’s that make you, sweetheart?" he murmured, breath brushing your lips. "The lamb wanderin’ into the fire… or the flame that keeps draggin’ me back to hell?"
You blinked up at him, your heart thudding so loud you swore the whole club could hear it.
Everything inside you screamed to pull away — to do what you’d always done when boys got too close, when their hands wandered and their eyes lingered too long. But Stack wasn’t like those boys. He didn’t leer. He didn’t plead.
He waited.
Like a man sure of the storm and patient enough to let it come to him.
Your voice came low. Dangerous.
"I ain’t no lamb. And I sure as hell ain’t chasin’ you."
He laughed — a quiet, genuine sound that rolled through his chest.
"No," he said again, like he was committing it to memory. "I'm chasin' you, baby."
Then his hand slid up — not low, not greedy — just firm and reverent, fingers skimming the side of your jaw like he was feeling the edges of something sacred.
"And I’m tellin’ you now," he added, voice dropping like molasses in your ear. "You keep lookin’ at me like that… I will find out what you taste like when you stop pretending you hate me."
Before you could bite back, before you could even think, the club doors burst open again —
And Boone’s voice came, loud and panicked: "Y/N! What the hell are you doin’?!"
The spell shattered.
You jerked back like burned, your spine stiffening, eyes snapping toward the entrance.
Boone’s chest heaved, face red and soaked in sweat. Eyes darted from you to Stack, and the rage built fast — like a match tossed in dry brush.
Stack turned lazily toward him, jaw twitching. The charming smirk faded into something else. Something sharp.
"You know," he said, stepping just slightly in front of you, “if he was any kinda gentleman, he wouldn't swear at a lady."
Boone didn’t flinch. Just pointed a finger, shaking with fury. "Your daddy’s gonna hear ‘bout this. And when he does, he’ll bury that bastard himself."
Your breath caught.
"Boone, it's—"
"Oh hell no. This ends now."
You stiffened, pulling away from Stack slightly. A glare rose to your face.
"You think you control anything I do? You're daddy's ranch hand, you ain't his informant, and you definitely ain't my husband, so I don't reckon you should be telling me what ends now."
Boone's jaw dropped.
"You know this is against his damn wishes. He wants you with me, not with Stack Moore."
Stack smiled, his gold grill glinting in the light of the juke.
"She don't want you, Boone Jones. Hell," he snorted, stepping forward. "She don't even really want me. I suggest you get to movin' before my brother and I toss you out this juke."
Boone’s eyes flashed, muscles tightening like coiled steel. "You got a real mouth on you, Stack. But don’t think for a second I’m scared of you or your brother."
He stepped forward, the heat between them crackling like a storm about to break.
You swallowed hard, heart pounding. The tension was thick enough to slice through, and neither man was backing down.
Stack’s grin twisted, teeth flashing like daggers. "Well then, looks like we got ourselves a showdown. You ready to back that up, Boone?"
Boone faltered for a moment. He spotted the gun on Stack's hip, glinting under his jacket. He was torn. But eventually, he turned away from the two of you.
"Get home, Y/N. I'm warnin' you. Your daddy'll be out lookin' for you soon as I tell him this shit."
With that, Boone spat on the floor and walked out.
The jukebox sputtered a slow country tune as Boone’s heavy footsteps faded into the night. Stack turned to you, smirking like he’d just won a war without firing a shot.
"Well, looks like the ranch hand knows when to fold ‘em."
You stood frozen, the weight of Boone’s warning settling deep in your chest.
Stack’s voice softened, almost mockingly gentle. "Now, tell me… what’re you gonna do with all this heat you’re sittin’ on?"
Your eyes burned with quiet defiance, but inside, a storm was brewing — one that wouldn’t be settled so easily.
Without another word, the defiance and want burning in your chest boiled over. You pulled Elias Moore into a crushing kiss, ruffling his suit jacket.
Stack’s smirk faltered for just a heartbeat, a flicker of surprise flashing behind his gold teeth. His hand lifted slowly, fingers brushing the side of your jaw with a teasing, deliberate lightness that sent a shiver down your spine. His voice dropped, low and dangerous, like a velvet promise edged with steel.
"Careful, baby. You’re playin’ with fire."
But you didn’t pull away. Instead, your breath hitched, and your heartbeat thundered in your ears like a wild stallion breaking free. The air between you thickened, charged with a heat that wasn’t just from the summer night or the sticky tension in the jukebox’s flickering neon glow. It was raw, electric, and impossible to ignore.
Your fingers curled into the lapel of his jacket, tugging him closer, hungry for the heat that radiated off his body. The scent of leather, musk, and something uniquely Stack invaded your senses. Your lips pressed harder against his, demanding more, needing more. His hands found your waist, strong and possessive, pulling you flush against him until there was no space left — only the desperate dance of two bodies claiming their own wild territory.
His mouth moved over yours with fierce intention, teasing and tasting, trailing a path of fire down your neck. You arched against him, breath mingling, every nerve alight. The weight of Boone’s warning dissolved somewhere in the back of your mind, drowned out by the thunderous storm between you and Stack.
Stack’s voice, rough and low, was a whisper against your skin. "You gonna be my woman. One way or another."
His hands slid lower, fingers digging into the curve of your hips, grounding you even as your pulse raced with reckless abandon. You tugged at the buttons of his shirt, exposing the warm skin beneath, your nails grazing, marking. Every touch was a challenge, every breath a promise.
Your lips parted in a silent plea, and Stack answered, his tongue tracing the line of your jaw, down to the swell of your collarbone. The heat in your chest ignited into a blaze, scorching and sweet. It wasn’t just passion — it was war, desire, defiance, and something dangerously close to surrender.
The air thickened, charged and heavy with all the words neither of you dared say. His fingers tightened on your hips, pulling you impossibly closer, as if he wanted to press you into him and make sure you couldn’t slip away. Your hands trembled slightly, caught between the urge to push him away and the desperate craving to keep this fire alive.
Stack’s breath hitched as his mouth dipped lower, kissing the hollow at your throat, leaving a trail of heat that seared through your skin. Your fingers tangled in the coarse fabric of his shirt, dragging it open just enough to feel the steady thump of his heart beneath your touch. Every beat was a promise, wild and relentless.
That night, you thought you'd be in wicked trouble with your daddy.
You got home and he was sitting in his chair, rifle by his side. There was no glare. No anger. No fight. Just disappointment.
His eyes met yours — quiet, heavy, like the weight of every unspoken word between you.
"Boone stopped by. Said you was almost kissin' Stack in the back of his juke joint. That the truth?"
You froze in the doorway, the screen creaking shut behind you. Your boots felt heavy against the floorboards.
"Is that the truth? I won't ask again." he asked again, voice like gravel and smoke, worn down from years of silence that meant more than shouting ever could.
You swallowed, but your throat was dry. "Yes, sir."
Your daddy looked away then, toward the window. The moonlight spilled across the hardwood like spilled milk, cold and pale. He didn’t raise his voice. He didn’t even shift in his chair.
“Didn’t raise you to chase heat just ‘cause it burns bright.”
You stepped further inside, your heart thudding in your chest. “It ain’t just heat.”
He turned back to you, slow and steady, the way storms roll in without hurry. "That boy’s trouble, Y/N. His people bring it like flies bring rot. You think Stack Moore gives a damn about you come winter? When the crops are dry and the nights are long?"
“I ain’t askin’ for your blessing,” you said, quietly. “But I ain’t askin’ for forgiveness, either.”
His jaw worked, clenched and tight. The rifle stayed at his side, but his hands curled on the armrests like he was gripping the weight of every fear a father could carry.
"You know I’d ride to hell for you, girl." "I know."
A beat. A breath. The porch creaked under the weight of the wind.
"Then don’t make me bury you for someone who wouldn’t ride back. If you think Stack Moore is worth it, I can't stop ya," he asserted wisely. "But he better be. Because if a single tear drops to this floor and he's responsible for it, I'm buryin' him. And his brother."
Your breath hitched, but you didn’t let it show.
He wasn’t threatening. He was promising.
That old chair creaked as he leaned forward, forearms braced on his knees, eyes pinning you like a hawk pins its prey.
"You understand me, girl?" His voice was low, but there was thunder in it — a quiet kind of rage built on love and fear and the kind of heartbreak only a father can carry.
You nodded, chin up even though your chest was tight. "I understand."
He let out a long breath through his nose, like he’d been holding it for years.
"Then go on to bed. And think real hard ‘bout the kind of man you’re givin’ your name to. 'Cause once you do… you don't get to take it back."
You stood there for a moment longer — the screen door groaning open behind you again, the wind pushing against your back like even the night was trying to warn you.
But you didn’t look back.
The next day, Stack stopped by the ranch, as if he was askin' for a gun to go off towards his head. You were out back, tending to the horses, brushing your favorite tenderly.
The horse, Annie was her name, blew air out of her nose, as if she knew trouble was approaching. You cooed at her.
"Settle down, pretty girl. Ain't nothin' comin' to get you."
But even as you said it, your eyes flicked toward the dust trail creeping down the long dirt drive — slow and deliberate. A dark car. Stack’s.
Annie shifted under your hand, hooves stamping once against the earth. You didn’t blame her. You felt the same tight pull in your chest. That mix of anger and ache, nerves and want, all tangled together like barbed wire.
Stack stepped out like he owned the goddamn world. Boots still dirty from whatever hellhole he'd walked through last, and that cocky tilt to his mouth like he'd slept just fine while the storm he stirred brewed all night long.
He spotted you in the paddock, and his smirk deepened like he’d expected a bullet and got a welcome mat instead.
You didn’t wave. Didn’t call out.
Just kept brushing Annie’s side like you weren’t burning from the inside out.
Stack leaned on the fence, one arm slung over the top rail, eyes fixed on you like you were the only thing that ever moved slow in his world.
"You didn’t call," he said, voice low and teasing. "Thought maybe Boone talked you outta me."
You looked up then, slow and measured.
"No one talks me outta anything, Stack. Least of all a man who runs when daddy’s rifle’s on the porch."
That knocked the smirk clean off his face for a second. Then he chuckled — slow, deep.
"Figured I’d come back ‘round today. Let your old man know I ain’t runnin’. I’m standin’."
You shook your head, a bitter little smile tugging at your lips.
"He already knows. Question is… do you?"
Stack’s jaw twitched. His eyes dropped to your hands on the horse — the way they moved, firm but gentle. Like you could break things and fix them all the same.
He straightened off the fence.
"I ain’t scared of your daddy," he said. "And I ain't here for a quick trip to the sheets. You're the typa woman worth marryin'."
You froze.
Annie huffed beside you, but you barely heard her over the rush of blood in your ears. Stack’s words hit you like a hammer to the ribs — not because you didn’t believe him, but because deep down… maybe you did.
Still, you kept your hands busy, brushing through Annie’s mane like she was the only thing keeping you grounded.
"You don’t even know what marryin’ me means, Stack Moore," you said quietly. "It ain’t just Sunday dresses and kissin’ under porch lights. It’s long winters and hard land and family that don’t forget where you came from."
He stepped into the paddock without asking, boots crunching over the straw and dirt. That alone told you something — Stack had never waited for an invitation in his life.
"I know it won’t be easy," he said, stopping just a few feet from you. "I know your daddy don’t think I’m good enough. Hell, maybe I ain’t. But I know this — I’d rather fight every damn day for your heart than spend a single one without it."
Your hand paused on Annie’s shoulder. For the first time, you looked at him — really looked.
There was no grin now. No sharp teeth. Just a man, standing there with his scars and swagger stripped down to something real.
"You’re serious," you said, more to yourself than him.
"I’ve been in fights I ain’t walked away from. I’ve stared down the barrel more times than I can count. But you?" He stepped closer, voice low and steady. "You’re the first thing that’s ever made me scared to lose."
Your chest tightened.
Goddamn him.
Because you wanted to believe it. Wanted to throw your arms around him, take him in the barn, and kiss the past right off his mouth. But you’d learned too young that want didn’t make a man stay. Promises were easy when the sun was out — it was the nights that told the truth.
So you swallowed hard and said the only thing you could.
"Then don’t say you want me, Stack. Show me."
His eyes flickered, something fierce and warm lighting in them.
"I intend to, darlin’," he said. "Every damn day. Starting now."
And when he reached for your hand, you let him take it. Just for a moment.
Just long enough to remember how it felt.
He raised it to his mouth. Kissed it gently, if Stack Moore was even capable of being gentle.
"Now.. Take me inside to see your daddy. I'm sure we can find somethin' to agree on. Gotta get along before I ask for the blessin'."
You snorted, tying Annie up and kicking his boot with your own.
"It ain't that easy. You've got to court me before you marry me, and even then, you gotta impress daddy."
Stack chuckled low in his chest, the sound rich like molasses and twice as thick with trouble.
"Darlin’, I didn’t think anything about you would be easy," he said, falling in step beside you as you started toward the house. "Hell, if you were, I wouldn’t be out here riskin’ a shotgun sermon and a boot up my ass."
You cut him a sideways glance, amused despite yourself. "You’ll get more than a boot if you don’t stop runnin’ that mouth."
He grinned, flashing that infamous gold tooth like a warning sign. "That mouth’s gonna be the reason you marry me, just you wait."
You stopped at the bottom of the steps, boots crunching in the dirt. Stack did too, waiting for your lead. Waiting, you realized, for your say-so — and that was rare.
"You serious about this?" you asked, voice lower now. No teasing. No fire. Just the honest question of a woman who knew how easily hearts cracked under pressure.
He nodded once. No swagger this time. Just steel and heat.
"I want a wife. I want babies. I wanna hang my guns up until I need 'em. And I want you. So, little lady, let's go."
You held in a tear, the only tear that had ever developed in your cold e/c eyes since mama died. Then, you willingly threaded your fingers into Stack's and tugged him towards the house.

fifteen minutes — jack abbot x reader
❝ piss some people off, show 'em what they're missin'❞
warnings: literally 99% smut. implied age gap, jack is down so incredibly bad, fem!reader, oral f!receiving, fingering, somewhat public sex (in a supply closet at the hospital), maybe a hint of dirty talk & praise, not proofread!!
wc: 1.5k
note: just something short n sweet for u!!!! definitely nobody is going to see this bcs im posting it at 3am but idc!!! whipped this up in like an hour but for some reason im really really happy w how this came out?!?!?!?!!? that doesn't normally happen so i hope u enjoy too!!!

jack rarely ever forgot things at home, and if he did it was usually something he could survive the shift without. but switching to the dayshift to cover for robby for the week threw a wrench into his usual routine, meaning he'd forgotten to wake up early enough to pack some kind of food to bring.
on nights he could get through- normally having just finished a big meal before the start of the shift, but there was no way he was going to make it through a dayshift on an empty stomach without killing someone.
you knew he'd forgotten when you walked into the kitchen to see his typical black lunch bag still sitting on the counter, and you also knew how insufferable he'd be to his co workers if he had nothing to eat all day.
<< no lunch? >> Forgot. I'll be ok. << did u eat anything before u left? >> Nope. It's okay, I'll get something from the cafeteria.
every time jack would get something to eat from work he'd come home grumbling about how everything they serve is a sorry excuse for food- that he wouldn't wish a meal from there on even his worst enemy. so you set your phone down with a sigh and head to the fridge to see what you can put together to bring him before you head to work.
it's not glamourous- some two day old pasta and the last two cookies from the batch you'd baked earlier in the week- but it's food, actual real food, so it would do.
the hospital wasn't too out of your way, only a ten minute drive from your place then another fifteen to your office. you parked in a spot outside the er, taking your keys in one hand and the lunch bag in the other before heading inside. you don't know many day shift faces, so luckily one of the few you do is standing right by the entrance.
"hi dana!" you smile, walking towards the nursing station. she glances up from the ipad she was previously enthralled in to look at you, "oh hey kiddo, you here to see abbot?" you nod and hold up the bag, "yup. forgot to bring something to eat, figured on an empty stomach he might not make it through the shift without killing anyone," you tease.
"well, thank you for that," she laughs, "did you want me to take it? i think he's with a patient right now- not quite sure how long he'll be and i don't want to keep you waiting." dana sets the tablet down and puts her hands out to take the bag. you pass it to her, "yeah thanks, i've gotta get to work actually-"
right before the fabric touches her hand, jack walks out from a room behind you. "oh!" dana interrupts, "speak 'a the devil- abbot!" she calls, you pull the bag back and turn around. jack looks up right as you face him, a smile tugs at his lips while he walks over to you.
"hey baby," he places a hand on your waist and kisses your cheek, the stubble he didn't have time to shave ghosts over your skin with a light scratch, "what're you doin' here?"
you hold up the lunch bag and he scoffs, "told you i could get something from the cafeteria," he says, taking the bag from you. you shrug, "yeah, but you always bitch about how you're gonna get food poisoning from there one day and i really didn't want to hear that spiel again."
"yeah, yeah, you're right," he says. you raise an eyebrow, "i'm always right."
he laughs, low and under his breath, "yes ma'am," he presses another kiss to your forehead, then takes your hand in his and leads you down the hallway where his locker is. he rounds the corner, inputs the combo to open the locker and places the bag inside it, next to his outside shoes and spare hoodie he keeps on hand for when it gets cold.
he takes your hand again and pulls you close to him, "thank you," he mumbles, tucking a strand of hair behind your ear. he closes the gap between your bodies and kisses you, soft and slow and definitely forgetting that anyone could walk by as he slides his hands down your body.
"i tell you how beautiful you look today yet?" you shake your head, "mmm, no i don't think you did, actually." he smiles, "well then, i better get on that." he pulls away and shoots you a subtle wink, before grabbing you by the wrist and tugging you into a supply closet across from the bank of lockers.
he wastes no time once you're inside, pushing you back against the door to click it shut and wandering his hands under your blouse. "jack, i've gotta be at work in like fifteen minutes," you say against his lips. you feel him smile against yours, "i can do a lot with fifteen minutes," he murmurs, planting one last kiss on your lips before dropping to his knees in front of you.
you tilt your head back to rest against the door, an anticipatory sigh escaping your lips as he finds the zipper on the side of your skirt, pulling it down and letting the clothing fall to land on the floor around your ankles. he hooks his fingers into the waistband of your panties and pulls those down next.
you look down at him when he brings his hand to your core, "we're gonna get caught and you are gonna be in so much shit." jack smirks, dragging a finger up your slit and making your breath catch when he reaches your clit. "don't care about that," he mumbles, then proceeding to bury his face between your thighs.
"fuck," you breathe, your head rolling back against the door with more of a thunk this time. one of your hands finds his hair, twining through the greying curls and pressing him further into your cunt.
"greedy, hm?" he teases, bringing a finger to your aching hole and sliding it inside you with ease. you gasp upon it's entrance, grip tightening on jack's hair as he adds a second one and starts pumping them in and out of you.
you catch the way he stares at every little twitch of your face while he's pleasuring you- always eager to learn what touches you like the most, to study the way you squirm so he can make you do it more often.
"shut up and make me cum already," you breathe, "don't exactly have a lot of time here." you feel him smile against you, "yes ma'am," he mumbles, before latching his mouth around your clit and rolling it between his lips. "oh my god- fuck, jack- just like that." you writhe your hips against his face, desperate for more friction.
jack's got your pleasure down to a science- a formula. he knows exactly how and where to touch you to have you falling apart in mere seconds.
he trails his mouth down slightly, licking over your slit and letting his nose knock against your clit. he plunges his fingers deeper inside you, curling them just so to rub against the spot you taught him about that has you seeing stars.
you should be embarrassed that you're nearing the edge already- knot tightening in the pit of your stomach and threatening to snap with every movement of his tongue and fingers- but all you can think about right now is jack and how good he's making you feel.
part of his formula includes knowing when your close, a little piece of information that lets him prolong your orgasm when he's feeling mean, or coax it from you when he's feeling generous. the way your thighs start to shake ever so slightly tell him that he's getting you there- that if he doesn't stop what he's doing it'll only be a few more moments before you're coming undone.
he doesn't speed up, doesn't make his movements harsher- doesn't change anything. just keeps sucking at your cunt like his life depends on it and driving his fingers inside you.
"i'm close, i'm- fuck- so close," those few words are all you can muster as your high washes over you- pleasure taking over all your senses and radiating outwards through your body from your core. "yeahhh, just like that, so good for me," jack mutters, the words barely comprehensible amidst the absolutely sinful slurping noises that are filling the room. jack works you through the orgasm, letting his movements slowly come to a halt as the sound of your ragged breathing takes over the air.
jack looks down at his watch, his chin still glistening with your release, "see, only took two to make you finish."
you roll your eyes, amazed at how consistently cocky he is when it comes to his skill of making you feel good. "yeah, yeah, whatever," you smile, bending down to collect your skirt and panties. jack stops you with his hands on your hips. you give him a questioning look, and your met with his smirk again.
"only needed two which means i've got thirteen more to have my way with you."

tell me what u think in the comments & reblogs !!! it means more than u know <3

The 141 and being "our wife" (for @beloveds-embrace based on this)
You're up to your elbows in flour, prepping the dough for Yorkshire pudding, when you hear the rumble of an engine in the drive. You wait until it's followed by four thunks before drawing in a deep breath.
Just as you're about to shout up the stairs, you hear a set of footsteps thunder down from the second floor.
"Dad's home!" your oldest, Kinsey, shouts to you.
"I heard hunny," you call back. "Can you get the door? I'm sure Papa's going to have a bunch of things with him."
"Alright, Mom," Kinsey says. It sounds like she's in the entryway. You hear the squeak of the hinges as she opens the front door. As it does, you hear your youngest's happy scream. Bailey must be able to see out the window.
"Da! Da! Da! Da!" he babbles.
"Yes, Bae, that's Daddy," you hear your middle child, Emma, tell him. You smile to yourself, proud of how well your kids get along. You're still musing over your little family when a rumble pulls you out of your reverie.
"Hey, Kins," John's voice says. "Where's your mama?"
"Mama's in the kitchen," Emma responds.
"Emma, my sunshine!" he crows. You hear her giggle and can only imagine John's picking her up and probably tossing her into the air. A squeal proves your instinct right.
"Munchkin!" you hear Simon call. He must have been just behind John.
You hear Kinsey groan at the nickname, but it's impossible to miss the smile in her voice when she says, "Welcome home, Dad."
It's Johnny's voice you hear next. "Where's my Em girl?" he says. It's followed by a grunt, a squeal, and and a, "Watch it, MacTavish," in John's deep baritone. Johnny probably snatched the girl right out of John's arms.
You hear the wheels of Bailey's walker rattle along the floor as Kyle's voice joins the fray. "Baby boy! You've gotten so big!"
Bailey coos, "Da. Da. Da. Da," at him, which earns a guffaw from Johnny.
"Tha's yer Daddy. I'm Da!"
As you listened to your children greet their fathers, you put the dough into the cooker and are washing up. You wipe your wet hands on the tea towel, and a pair of strong hands fall on your waist. The man smells like sunshine and tobacco.
John's beard tickles your throat when he leans to kiss you. "Thank you, Mama," he whispers. You know from previous deployments he's thanking you for waiting for them, for caring for the kids in their absence, for carrying the weight of everything by yourself. "We're home now." He punctuates his message with another kiss as you feel Simon enter the room.
You step away from John's embrace to wrap your arms around as much of Simon as you can manage. You don't say anything, and neither does he. He drops a kiss on the hair and holds you tight for one minute, then two. When you feel him unfurl, tension seeping away, you finally whisper, "Welcome home, Si."
"Missed you, Mama," he replies. He gives you another tight squeeze before stepping back. You turn to find Kyle leaning against the door frame. He smiles at you, and you open your arms for him.
He picks you up with a spin. "Ky," you giggle, feeling decades younger.
"Mama," he says, "it smells amazing in here." He smiles at you. "You take such good care of us." He pulls you against him and brushes his lips across yours. "Thank you," he murmurs.
"Always," you reply, cupping his cheek. You close your eyes and press your forehead to his. "Always," you whisper again.
Finally, Johnny's behind you, practically pulling you from Kyle's hug. "Stop hogging our missus, Garrick. I didnae get a turn yet." You see Kyle roll his eyes, but he lets you go, passing you gently into Johnny's arms. "Mama," Johnny says, looking you in the eye. "It's so good tae be home."
You wrap your arms around his neck, playing with the hair at the base of his skull. "It's good to have you all home." You close your eyes and breathe deeply. You try to blink them away, but you feel the tears lining your eyes. "So so good."
This last deployment was longer than anyone thought it would be. After three months, they went radio silent, and if Kate hadn't been giving you updates, you would have been out tracking your men across the desert. Six months alone. Six months raising three kids on your own. Six months worrying about them every day.
But they were home now. And that was enough.

The next morning, you woke up to the sun pouring into your window through your sheer curtains, Chris' arms were still wrapped around you as he softly snored beside you. Your head felt fuzzy from the weed the night before, and you had this groggy feeling that would take all morning to shake.
You heard a shuffling downstairs and sat up quickly, causing Chris to stir beside you. "Chris! I think our parents are home!" You hoarsely whispered, pulling the blanket off of you in a swift motion and staring wide-eyed at your door, ready for one or both of them to burst through any minute.
Your heart hammered away, ready for them to reprimand the two of you, first for the state of the house - and then for being in bed together.
"Don't worry. I told some buddies I'd give 'em free weed if they helped clean up from the party," he grumbled in a tired voice, completely unbothered.
You took a deep breath, the panicked feeling dwindling away and your heart returning to a normal rate, but you still felt a bit of unease. What would keep his friends from coming up and walking in on the two of you?
You'd just die if anyone you knew found out you were sleeping with your stepbrother.
"I told them a girl stayed over. They won't be bothering us at all," Chris told you as if reading your mind. He flashed you a smile before he yawned, stretching his arms overhead.
Your gaze met his for a moment after his perfect blue eyes fluttered open, but he glanced away almost immediately, worried you'd be able to see how soft he'd gotten for you.
You admired his full, pink lips, his disheveled hair, and the bit of stubble that was coming in on his face after a few days of not shaving. That's when a diabolical idea popped into your head.
"You know, you're still an asshole for throwing a party," you huffed, throwing your legs over the side of your bed and standing to your feet.
"You had fun," Chris chuckled, rubbing his eyes and replaying the events from the night before.
"You know, I should tell on you. Your mom would be pissed," you replied, giving him a mischevious grin.
"You wouldn't dare," Chris narrowed his gaze at you, trying to figure out what your angle was.
"I mean, I won't tell... if you can give me something I want," you replied, throwing a fresh shirt on over your head and shooting a smirk in his direction. Chris sighed, running his fingers through his messy, brown hair.
"And what would that be?" He hesitantly asked you. You raised an eyebrow at him, trying to assess what he'd do to avoid getting caught. He gave a deadpan stare, knowing you weren't just going to ask for a normal favor.
Regardless of what the favor was, he was inclined to do it. He'd been on thin ice with your parents lately, and he knew he'd be in major trouble if you ratted on him.
"Let me dom you," you demanded, placing your hand on your left hip and leaning into it. Chris scoffed loudly.
"You're outta your damn mind. I'm not gonna be your fuckin' pet you can do whatever ya want to." Chris crossed his arms over his chest and rolled his eyes.
"Fine. Then you know who's gonna be outta their minds when they get back in town?" You retorted, fighting the smirk starting in the corner of your lip. Chris groaned, knowing it was in his best interest to give in to what you wanted.
"What's it gonna be, Chris? You gonna give me what I want? Or am I telling our parents about the little party you threw?" You wondered, tilting your head to the side and giving him an inquisitive look.
"What do you want me to do?" Chris asked as if he were considering it, his face completely devoid of emotion.
"Whatever I tell you to do," you giggled.
He scoffed and rolled his eyes. "You're sick."
"Come on, Chris. I know you'd do anything for me," you replied, slithering back into your bed.
"I don't know about anything."
"Well, you'd do anything to save your own ass," you responded, climbing on top of your stepbrother's lap and straddling him. He let out a groan as you shifted your weight around on his erection that was pinned to his stomach, a sound he made partially out of pain and partially out of pleasure.
"Oh, my god. See? You're already hard just at the thought of me dominating you," you teased him, pinning his wrists above his head and rolling your hips forward. He made another noise, this time a little more desperate.
His cheeks immediately flushed with embarrassment, realizing that whiny, pathetic sound did, in fact, come from him. You were surprised when he didn't immediately wiggle free from your grasp even though he easily could have.
"That's not why I'm hard, fuckin' slut," Chris rasped, lifting his hips up and pressing his cock into your clothed cunt. "I'm hard thinkin' about all the ways I'm gonna punish you after you have your fun."
"You ever been dominated by a girl before?" You questioned him, arching your brow and taking control of the conversation again.
"No," he responded, sounding agitated.
"Awh. Poor baby. You must be so scared right now," you said in a faux sympathetic voice as you stuck out your bottom lip in a fake pout.
"Scared? Of what?" He asked with a puzzled look on his face.
"Scared because you might like it," you poked fun at him. Chris' lip twitched, threatening a contemptuous smile at your accusation. His wrists strained against your hold, but not enough to break free.
"I ain't afraid of nothin'."
"Nothing, huh? Not even afraid of your friends hearing you whimper for me?" You cooed in a soft voice, still grinding against him. He tightened his jaw, fighting back the noises that threatened to spill from his lips. "I bet you're just dying for me to put it in my mouth, aren't you?" You purred, smiling down at him.
He flared his nostrils in frustration. "Do it then, slut, and quit talkin' about it," he huffed back.
"Not with that attitude. Come on, pretty boy. Ask nicely," you taunted him, leaning in and nudging his head to the side with your nose before your lips latched onto a vulnerable spot on his neck.
"Not a fuckin' chance," Chris whispered, hoping you couldn't hear the desire in his voice.
"That's too bad then. I guess I'll just kiss your neck and grind against you until you choose to be nice," you softly spoke, your lip tickling his earlobe. He swallowed hard. He could feel goosebumps forming on his warm skin.
"Works for me," he said in a cocky manner, trying to fight the urge to give into you. You noticed that he hadn't budged once from the position you had him in, his wrists still secured in your grip. There was something about the way that he was just letting you that was so hot.
You started sucking on his sensitive flesh, gently biting down and causing him to shudder and gasp. His dominant mask was slipping.
Never in a million years did Chris picture himself allowing some girl to dominate him and for him to like it. To be fair, though, you weren't just some girl.
"Such a good boy. So responsive for me," you whispered into the crook of his neck, your hot breath hitting his skin. You could feel the tension leave his body as he started to submit to you. "I bet you want me to suck on it so bad, don't you?" You seductively mewled, pulling away from his neck to admire his facial features.
His hooded eyes stared back at you with lust. His cheeks were flushed and pink with embarrassment and desire, and his bottom lip was caught between his teeth. "Mhmm," he softly hummed, nodding his head eagerly. "Suck on it."
"Ask nicely," you reiterated.
"Please suck on it."
"Beg for it," you told him.
Chris loudly sighed, preparing to make a fool of himself. "Fuck. Please, please suck on it. You're killin' me here," Chris whined, wetting his lips that were pink with arousal.
"I don't think you want it bad enough," you teased, rolling your hips once more and grinding against him.
"Fuck. It's fuckin' aching. Please put it in your mouth," Chris demanded in a breathy voice, squirming beneath you. You tightened your grasp on his wrists, giving him a look like you knew he could do better than that. "Fuck. Please. I'm desperate," he pleaded with you.
"Keep going, baby," you softly replied.
"I need it. P-please. Put it in your mouth," he begged.
A smile crept into the corner of your lip in satisfaction with how pathetic he finally looked and sounded. "That's it. Good boy," you complimented him, releasing his wrists and scooting down further onto the bed.
He propped himself up on his elbows, peering down at the way you slowly slithered off his lap and positioned yourself on your knees between his legs. You hooked your fingers into the waistband of his pajama pants and his underwear, slowly pulling them down. He slightly raised his hips, and his hard cock sprung out, slapping his stomach as you set it free.
"Awh. Look. He's so pretty.. all shiny," you whispered, grabbing his shaft and admiring the clear fluid coating his tip.
"Don't... talk about my dick like that," Chris protested.
"Don't talk about him like what?" You asked, sneering at him as you circled his tip with the pad of your finger. This simple contact made Chris quietly moan, but he cleared his throat, trying to cover the sound.
"Callin' it cute names and talkin' about it like it isn't fuckin' attached to me. God, there's somethin' the matter with ya," Chris snarled, but the look on his face gave him away. He was secretly loving this, and you could tell.
"What? You don't want me telling you how pretty he is?" You cooed, looking into his eyes. He rolled his eyes, his chest rising and falling at a faster rate as his breathing pattern sped up. You leaned forward, your mouth hovering less an inch above his cock. You blew cold air over his glistening tip, causing him to shudder.
"Fuck," he moaned, tipping his head back. You tightened your hold on his length and started slowly stroking him up and down. He gazed back down at you, biting down on his lip. He wondered how long you were going to tease him for, and there was a part of him that didn't totally mind it - a part that maybe was even looking forward to it just a little bit.
You leaned in a little more and placed a tender peck on his swollen tip, causing his cock to twitch. "Awh. He's so sensitive," you cooed, kissing it again.
"Oh, my god," Chris groaned beneath you, trying to sound annoyed, but he was grasping at the sheets. You started working down his length, gently brushing your lips over his shaft and giving him soft kisses. Then, you worked your way back up, nearing his head with your mouth, and with every inch you moved closer, his breath grew more shallow.
You finally closed your lips down around his leaking tip and slurped up the shiny fluid. His hand flew up, and he tenderly ran his fingers through your hair. "Oh, shit," he whispered, his eyes fluttering shut as they rolled back. His neck craned back, and his head softly hit your pillow.
"If you try to take control and push my head down, I'll stop, and we'll start from the beginning," you threatened him as you felt his grasp on your hair tighten. He picked his head back up, glanced down at you, and nodded.
He kept his hand there, but he loosened his grip, soothingly stroking your hair. He didn't use any force, but he was fighting the urge the whole time.
You were moving painfully slow - gently licking, tenderly sucking, lightly kissing. He started to whimper under the feeling of your mouth. The pace was driving him crazy. He was always used to making you submit, but being on the receiving end, patiently waiting for you to make your next move was so difficult for him.
You finally took him into your mouth, wrapping your plump lips around him and sinking down his length. He smiled down at you, using every bit of self-restraint he had to keep himself from forcing your head down and making you gag on him.
You hummed around his cock, and he had to bite back a loud moan. "I think you're liking this a little too much," you accused him, giving him a smirk. He didn't say a word, but his silence spoke volumes.
You went back to slowly stroking him while your mouth worked on his tip. Moans poured effortlessly from him again as he grew more sensitive due to your teasing. You bobbed up and down on his cock, drawing him closer to the edge.
You flicked your gaze up at him, his desperate blue eyes staring back. You could see the pleasure engraved in his expression, his pinched together brows, his slacked jaw, and his parted lips. You could hear his breathing turn into panting.
He curled his toes, trying to remain composed and attempting to keep his whimpering from getting too out of hand, but he was miserably failing.
Just when you thought he couldn't take anymore, you withdrew all sensation. Chris let out a defeated sigh. "I was so close..." He fussed, but he quickly cleared his throat when he heard how whiny he sounded.
"I know you were. I bet your friends could tell, too. You're being so loud. You trying to get us caught?" You giggled.
His cheeks turned a deeper shade of red. "Shut up," he barked back.
"That's not very nice, Chris. You wanna cum, don't you? Only good boys get to finish," you mocked him in a condescending tone. Chris nodded, his eyes silently begging you to put your mouth back on him.
"Tell me what you want, Christopher," you cooed, biting back a satisfied smile as you watched him struggle to uphold his collected facade. You'd never seem him so vulnerable and submissive before. It was driving you crazy.
"Please let me cum," he whimpered. You shook your head no with a glint in your eye, still lazily stroking him. Little did he know, you were just getting started.
He was growing more and more impatient, little whines slipping past his lips as you placed your thumb on his tip and started rubbing it. Your touch was heavenly and no matter how hard he tried to seem indifferent to it, he couldn't hide the pure pleasure he felt.
"God, you're falling apart," you smirked, your hungry stare fixed on him. You took him into your mouth again, repeating the pattern, starting off slow and then going faster until he was writhing beneath you in desperation. Then you withdrew all sensation again, earning a frustrated sigh from Chris.
You did this a few more times, watching him as he struggled, knuckles growing white as he tugged at the sheets, toes curling, screwing his eyes shut, and tightening his jaw. Then you'd stop, give him a smirk, and listen to him beg.
Chris usually needed really rough, really fast, constant stimulation in order to finish, but with how expertly you'd edged him, he felt like he could cum if you simply breathed on his cock a certain way.
"I can't take it anymore. I need to cum. Please, please, please," he whimpered, his voice breaking into sobs, tears pricking the corners of his eyes. You raised an eyebrow, a smile curling on your lips as you savored the sight, knowing it probably would never happen again.
Your gaze fell to his pretty cock, and you watched his precum mixed with your saliva leak out of his swollen tip and down his length. "That's it," you purred, twisting your wrist as you stroked him, his pretty sounds encouraging you.
You abruptly stopped when you felt his member pulse in your grasp, withholding all stimulation again. You weren't going to let him get off that easily. "You're gonna fuckin' kill me," Chris whispered, anticipation eating him alive.
You gave him a smile as you sat up and slowly started to remove your panties. Chris let out a sigh of relief, eager to feel your cunt wrapped around him, but you continued to move rather unhurriedly, slinking your underwear down your thighs like you were giving a striptease.
Chris watched hungrily as you slowly spread your legs, feeling the cool air hit your glistening folds. You teased him further, reaching between your thighs and rubbing your clit in circles. "How bad do you want it?" You asked, holding eye contact.
"I want it so bad. Please," he whimpered. You giggled at his desperation, and then you straddled him, lining him up with your entrance. However, instead of putting it in right away, you took your time, slowly dragging his swollen head over your slit a few times, taunting him even more.
A few more strangled moans passed through his lips as you slipped just the tip into your hole. He looked up at you with his needy blue eyes, waiting patiently as you started to slowly suck him in.
"Fuck," he whispered, reaching up and brushing away the sweat from his brow. You sunk down on him inch by inch, watching him further lose his composure.
Once you were completely stretched around him, you paused all movement, pinning his arms above his head again. "You want me to ride you, don't you?" You cooed, staying completely still.
"Yes. Please," he responded, his voice cracking in desperation as his wrists strained against your hold.
You figured you'd tortured the boy enough already, so you decided to finally see it through, giving him a bit of relief from your teasing.
You grinned and watched his eyes roll back as you worked at an unhurried pace, drawing circles with your waist and massaging him with your walls as you slid up and down on him. He relished in the sensation, a guttural moan passed through his lips. He throbbed inside of you, the knot in his stomach threatening to come undone any moment.
You sped up the motion of your hips, grinding on his cock as you peered down at his face, his features saturated with pleasure. "Be a good boy and finish for me, hmm?" You cooed. He nodded in response, a slew of pathetic whimpers filling the air.
You felt the muscles in his wrists tighten against your palms as his long-awaited release crashed over him like a tidal wave. His length pulsed inside of you, flooding your cunt with his thick, hot cum. His whole body shook at the feeling, adrenaline and dopamine coursing through him.
He looked beautiful panting beneath you, staring back with glossed over eyes and a blissful smile, his face turning an ever deeper shade of red as he realized how foolish and pathetic he must have appeared to you in his most desperate moments. He couldn't believe how he'd begged you to let him cum and then busted at you purring the words, good boy.
You smirked down at him, catching your breath as you finally let go of his wrists. His hands immediately flew up, and he buried his face in them, trying to hide his embarrassment.
"If you ever tell anyone I liked that, I'll fuck you so hard you won't be able to walk straight for a fuckin' week," Chris chuckled once his shyness subsided, running his long, thin fingers through his disheveled hair that was sticking up in all directions.
"Ooh, fun. Don't threaten me with a good time," you teased. In one swift motion, he swung you off of him and pinned you to the bed underneath him, earning a squeal from you in response.
"Okay, you kinky little slut. What I meant to say is, if ya tell anyone I liked that, I'll never fuck you again. How 'bout that?" He replied, but there was no bite to his tone.
"Even if you weren't my stepbrother, I'd never tell anyone the things we do. That's private. Just between us," you told him with a bit of seriousness, your eyes locked on his.
Chris almost felt a deeper sense of connection and security with you after sharing such a vulnerable part of himself and knowing he wouldn't have to worry that the details surrounding it getting out.
He laid his head on your chest that rose and fell with your breath, listening to the sound of your heartbeat slow as you recovered. You played with his messy hair, gently sifting through each strand. "So, you won't tell our parents about me throwing a party while they were out of town?" He asked quietly, tracing circles with his fingertips over the top of your thigh.
"Hmmm. I think I just need one more thing from you before I can promise that," you smugly responded, softly scratching his head.
"What?" Chris groaned, anticipating the worst as he looked up at you with a pout on his perfect pink lips.
"Well, a cup of coffee would be nice," you chuckled. Chris gave you a relieved sigh and rolled his tired blue eyes in annoyance, but he nodded, thankful that your next request was much simpler than the first.
He kissed you before he slipped out of your bed and into his sweatpants from the night before that were balled up on your floor, and he trudged downstairs.
He made two cups of coffee, one for you and one for himself while his friends grilled him about who the girl was he had upstairs with him.
They all gave each other puzzled looks when he remained tight-lipped about it. It wasn't like Chris to withhold information like that. He was usually an open book with them about his sex life, probably giving too much detail. However, this time, he kept the conversation with them vague, a smirk still tugging at the corner of his lip.
It was kind of hard for him to not brag to them about banging his own stepsister, especially because he knew it would earn him high fives, praises, and envious looks, all gestures that would stroke his ego, but he held his tongue.
"Well, whoever you have up there, she sounds like she's enjoying herself," one of his friends commented, slapping him on the back. He avoided eye contact, his cheeks turning a rosy pink color as he suspected that the sounds his friend heard probably came from him, not the girl he had upstairs.
He composed himself, laughing along and playing it off while waiting for the coffee to brew. He gave each of them a joint to keep them satisfied without answering any of their questions, and he made his way back up to your bedroom with a mug in each hand, the whole time thinking about all the ways he was going to ruin you for humiliating him in front of his friends.

Masterlist
Laidback nights at the Watchtower didn't happen very often. Nights when no one was off on some random mission in the middle of nowhere, no last minute invitations to stupid events, not one single call from Valentina.
It was perfect.
These nights were simple in the way that mattered, space to breathe, to laugh, to learn the little things about each other that didn't come out in broad daylight. And, even if you hadn't picked it in the first place, this had become what you called home.
Not that you would ever say it out loud, or anyone in the team really, but it meant everything to you.
You'd just pulled the last cookie tray out of the oven, the kitchen felt warm as the air filled with the sweet smell of melted chocolate chips. Bob stood beside you, fidgeting with the sleeves of his hoodie, clearly proud but, as always, kept his thoughts to himself. He had spent the entire week casually hinting at wanting to bake, dropping recipe tiktoks in the group chat, mumbling things like "If anyone wants, we could maybe ... try these?" When passing around the group.
You knew he would never get the motivation to get up and actually do it on his own, and if he ever did, he would drop it halfway through. Maybe that's why he hinted it the whole week. When it came to Bob, who never ever wanted to bother anyone with his needs, you gladly took that as progress.
Now, you didn't know shit about baking. Neither did Bob, really. But if it meant getting him out of his room and doing something other than quietly fading into the background, you were all in.
So, as tonight the whole team would be home to enjoy some homemade cookies, you cornered him in the kitchen and made it happen.
The open kitchen, completely visible from the living room, was a mess. The counters dusted in flour and so many dirty bowls and spoons laying around. Your teammates had been throwing curious glances at you the whole afternoon, and it was funny how John, the one who insists to act like he's the most disinterested person in the building (he goes neck to neck with Bucky on that one) had been lifting his head ever so slightly from the couch to look over the counter way too many times to count.
There had also been complaints about you 'taking too long' but, 6 hours wasn't bad at all for amateurs, right?
All that time for the cookies to end up looking lopsided, but at least the smell was heavenly, and judging by Bob's quiet excitement, they were a masterpiece.
"Cookies are ready, everyone!" you called out, lining up the cookie trays on the counter that faced the living room.
Bob smiled nervously as he scratched the back of his head "Um... take as many as you'd like".
Big mistake, when you had three supersoldiers waiting like hawks.
He didn't even finish his sentence before John took three long strides to reach the counter, leaning over the trays to examine the cookies with his arms crossed.
You rolled your eyes. "You need a magnifying glass or something?" You huffed, and the fucker only fake smiled at you as he used his finger to flip a couple of cookies that looked darker than the others.
"Didn't even burn 'em" he muttered with approval, nodding at both of you before popping two into his mouth without hesitation, despite the fact they were still steaming.
"You angels!" Alexei exclaimed right behind him, grabbing a handful. "You will make strong wives one day" His thick accent muffled by a mouthful of cookies he was trying to chomp down at super soldier speed.
"Wow ... okay" Bob clears his throat as he turned red from the weird compliment.
John snorted at the ridiculous comment, as he kept grabbing one cookie after another like they were infinite. Bucky dragged his feet reluctantly to the counter, offering you a small side smile at you as he approached the tray, muttering a quiet thank you when he grabbed his batch of cookies before turning back to the couch.
"Jeez, leave some for the girls" Ava complained, making everyone jump as she fazed through the kitchen cabinets.
She hid her smirk like she didn't notice, but she loved doing that.
She raised an eyebrow at the almost empty trays, with her signature judging look. She grabs one with casual confidence, took an uninterested bite and froze mid chew. Her face shifted into reluctant surprise.
"I'll be damned" she muttered, grabbing another. "These aren't bad at all"
Bob was beaming.
And if he was beaming, all of you were, too.
You scanned the room, eyes darting toward the hallway before they almost finished the stash.
"Where's Yelena?" You suddenly remember, Bob's eyes go wide.
Right on cue, she makes appearance strutting through the hallway.
"Gather 'round losers, it's karaoke time" Yelena announces as she walks past the group, collective grunts immediately followed.
She stopped dead in her tracks, mid stride, her cute nose wrinkling as she caught the sweet scent coming from the almost empty trays.
"Wait, the cookies were ready and you didn't call me?"
"We literally took them out of the oven five seconds ago" you said, hands up in mock defense. Bob nodded profusely beside you.
"YEH" "it's true" "sure", the super soldiers tried to back you up, but the crumbs on their shirts made them guilty as charged.
Yelena narrowed her eyes at them, then made her move. "Let's see these–hands off, Walker!"
She smacked John's hand just as he reached for the last two cookies. He groaned, but decided it was better to go back to the couch instead of fighting with the blonde girl for a goddamn cookie.
Yelena took her first bite, eyes widening as she chewed. "Mmm ... oh my god, Bob. These are amazing"
Another praise that made him visibly shrink a little. "Y/N helped me" he said quickly, deflecting the compliment.
You gave him a sideways glare. He caught it and fumbled a bit.
"Uh ... I mean, thank you, Yelena"
Her mouth was still full, but her smile was unmistakable.
She gave him a little nod, eyes soft as they always were with him. Then, without missing a beat, she turned toward the living room again where Bucky and John were sulking into the couches.
"Alright! Now that you've been fed, it's showtime"
That girl couldn't half ass anything in her life, so if she said it was showtime, it was freaking showtime. And you always backed her up with the same energy you'd bring to a bar fight.
You walked over to the TV and powered on the freshly installed karaoke system, with a whole disco ball included. Val had, very reluctantly, been forced to install it. It had been your demand of the month.
Since Valentina Allegra de Fontaine technically worked for you now, courtesy of the mountain of dirty, dangerous secrets you had on her, you made sure to remind her of the power dynamic whenever possible. Monthly demands had become a tradition.
She hated it of course, which only made it more fun. The team’s demands just kept getting ridiculous at this point.
"Val, I want a fireplace in my room"
"You are on the 29th floor"
"Exactly, gets cold"
"Val we need a private jet"
"You have access to five military grade aircrafts"
"Yeah, but I mean like ... a superstar jet. With champagne and mood lighting"
"Val, I hate the tile in my bathroom"
"It's marble"
"Ugly marble"
"Val, I want to meet Harry Styles”
"...What?"
So yes, in the grand scheme of things, a tiny disco ball and a karaoke machine wasn't the worst of your requests.
The very first karaoke night had been just you and Yelena. No fancy setup, just too many vodka shots that had you standing on the coffee table, using the TV remote as a microphone while screaming lyrics off YouTube.
Bucky had come back from a long mission that night. Exhausted, annoyed, and probably still bleeding somewhere, when he walked straight through the living room just as you both hit a particularly off key chorus of Total Eclipse of the Heart.
"You know" he muttered, barely sparing a glance "all you're missing is a disco ball"
He said it like a joke. But when you told Bob about it, he loved the idea, even if he never participated in the singing.
So, a disco ball was next on Valentina's, or actually Mel's, shopping list.
Karaoke nights were still ... just Yelena and you singing. Mostly. Alexei being the only one willingly joining without you even asking. But at least now, everyone gathered around to watch your performances, and singing or no singing, you were just glad they were there.
Now here you were again, reunited in the living room. The glittery ball spun slowly overhead as the lights dimmed and the first hum of mic feedback buzzed through the speakers.
You always opened karaoke night.
Standing in front of the team gathered on the couches, you took a moment to analyze your audience for the evening.
Bucky sat like a sulky cat on the left corner of the main couch, head supported by his metal arm, elbow resting on the armrest. And, clearly, regretting his life choices once again.
John sat stiff on the opposite end, acting nonchalant, like whatever he was watching on his phone was more important than your song choice tonight.
Alexei, who had disappeared for a few minutes to put on his ridiculous 'New Avengerz' onesie, was now seated in the middle, radianting excitement. Nothing filled his heart more than seeing his daughter happy, enjoying moments like this with her little weird crew. But it was fine, he thought, daughter is also weird.
Bob took the beanbag next to John, the eager smile on his face making your heart pinch a little. He looked like he'd been waiting his whole life to be invited to something like this.
Ava chose to stand, lazily leaning on the wall near John's seat, with her arms crossed. Yelena, as always, sat closest to you, perched on the edge of an armchair.
"God ... if Alexei tries to harmonize again I'm tasing him" Bucky squeezes his eyes shut, his hand already rubbing his temple.
"Hey ... the people love my voice"
"The people called the police last time, Alexei" Ava rolled her eyes, her accent made sarcasm sound dead serious.
"What will they do? Arrest the New Avengerz?" He protested, making sure he emphasized the 'z'.
"Dad, please" Yelena sighed, already embarrassed by his outfit.
"I guess we'll find out if Val's soundproofing system works now" John muttered, eyes still glued to the phone.
"Alright alright, don't get too excited" You joked, holding your hands up to calm down the 'crowd'. "For tonight's performance, I have decided to grace your ears with my very own rendition of 'Nothing's gonna stop us', our new signature song" You announced enthusiastically.
Bob was the only one who clapped, sinking deeper into his beanbag when only Alexei's heavy claps followed.
"Since when is it our signature song?" Ava questioned, her head tilting to the side.
"Since Bucky was humming it in the jet last mission..." Yelena teased, shooting you an amused look.
Bucky exhaled sharply. You'd been pestering him about that song ever since you heard him hum it. And of course, you'd dragged Yelena into it too, you two were basically a single chaotic unit at this point.
"You have to be kidding me"
You ignored him completely as Yelena pressed play. The lights shifted to a soft pink hue, bouncing across the room thanks to the disco ball.
The beat of drums kicked in, followed by the soft melody. You started swaying from side to side, and from the corner of your eye, you noticed Bob doing the same. John unconsciously began tapping his foot to the rhythm, as he scrolled through muted reels. Bucky sat completely still, fighting with his inner demons not to join in.
"Looking in your eyes, I see a paradise
This world that I found is too good to be true..."
It didn't take longer than the first verses for yelena to ditch the chair and join you, taking another microphone as the pre chorus played.
"Let them say we're crazy, I don't care about that
Put your hand in my hand, baby don't ever look back..."
The others looked mildly amused as you and Yelena swayed in perfect sync.
"Look at them" Ava chuckled, whispering to John. "Deadliest couple in at least three time zones, and they perform like their lives depend on it"
"They're cute. In a 'definitely killed people' kind of way" Bob added softly, barely audible over the music. But Yelena caught it.
"See, Bob has taste" Yelena interrupted her singing to flip Ava off. She just rolled her eyes.
By the time the chorus hit, Yelena and you were giving it your all.
"And we can build this dream together, standing strong forever, nothing's gonna stop us now..."
"Come on Ava, let us hear you!" You called to her, fully expecting to be ignored.
You hadn't managed to convince Ava into karaoke yet. She was definitely one of the girls, someone you could always count on for advice, or you know, a quick murder. But you weren't at 'let's perform like lunatics in front of the group' level just yet.
Or so you thought.
Maybe it was the sugar rush from the cookies she had earlier, cause she didn't protest. She just shrugged like she had absolutely nothing better to do and walked over to the TV, picking up another mic.
You blinked as she tapped it to check it was on. Everyone leaned in, waiting.
"I'm so glad I found you, I'm not gonna lose you
Whatever it takes, I will stay here with you"
To everyone's horror and awe, her voice was perfect. Like, radio perfect. Smooth, clear, and effortless.
John finally looked up from his phone, his jaw threatening to drop to the floor. Even Bucky raised an eyebrow, suddenly intrigued.
"Beautiful ... like funeral" Alexei thought out loud, earning a sigh from Bucky, it was his fault for being interested in the first place.
"What the fuck, Ava" John cursed as she wrapped up her solo, his eyebrows furrowed trying to understand how that angelic voice came out the most insufferable woman he'd even met.
"I spent years alone in a lab" Ava replied casually. "Singing passed the time" she shrugged like it didn't matter in the least to her, and returned to her usual spot by the wall.
"You were like ... singing singing" You emphasized, as the instrumental continued alone in the background. "And here I thought I was the talent"
"You are" Yelena said, patting your shoulder. "Just not vocally" You blinked at how that was supposed to be a compliment.
"You guys are missing the song" Bob pointed out, gesturing to the screen where the lyrics kept scrolling by.
You extended the mic to Bucky, but he didn't take it. He stared at it, then at you, then back again at the mic. "Come on Bucky, it's your song" You whined.
"Sing, sing, sing!" Bob chanted enthusiastically, until Bucky shot him a death glare and it died down mid cheer.
With a long suffering grunt, Bucky stood up. He wasn't about to let this drag out any longer, it was better to get it over with so you'd all leave him alone.
Bucky took the mic like it offended him. Like he might throw it across the room, but he'd already committed, no way was he backing out now.
"Okay, but I'm only doing one verse" he said, like this was some negotiation.
You and Yelena just nodded excited in unison.
Alexei leaned towards John and whispered, "What if he sings like sexy ghost?"
"What does that even mean?" John muttered, his face scrunched up.
And as the bridge kicked in, Bucky sang.
"Oooh, all that I need is you
All that I ever need"
His voice cracked a little at first, like it hadn't been used like this in years. But then it was rough, smoky, deep. It suited him.
"And all I want to do is hold you forever
Forever and ever"
By the time he sang the last line of the bridge, you saw the shift in his posture, his eyes half closed, his shoulders loosening, the furrow in his brow easing.
Yelena gasped dramatically and tapped his shoulder with both hands.
"James Buchanan Barnes" she said, placing a dramatic hand on her chest. "Was that emotion I just witnessed?"
"Shut up" he muttered, handing the mic back and slumping into his seat .
Bob, not scared this time, clapped gently, as if trying not to startle him. "That was really, really good"
Even Walker had the decency to nod, raising his eyebrows. "Okay. Didn't expect that".
Bucky didn't reply, but at least he didn't look miserable anymore.
You smirked, eyes scanning the room until they landed on your next victim. You extended the microphone towards Walker, your other hand making a grabbing motion in the air.
"You're up, soldier" you said.
You could see it in his eyes, he wanted to. He'd never admit it, but he'd been waiting for someone to invite him.
"I don't sing"
You rolled your eyes. My god, why did this man try so hard to act like he doesn't care. You knew he did. You glared at him, and it surprisingly it seemed to work the first time.
Huh. Looks like sugar really was the solution all along.
He recluctanly, not really at all, took your hand and jumped in front of the group, as the chorus hit one more time.
"And we can build this world together..."
His rendition was... decent. Maybe a little too much air punching, but honestly? He was selling it. You and Yelena danced behind him for support.
Alexei didn't take long to get up to dance beside you and yelena, not without offering his hand to Ava to bring her along as well. You did the same to Bucky, dragging him towards the dance floor as he shook his head amused.
You all moved to the beat of the guitar while John finished his verse and joined the dancing, mic still in hand. Bucky finally started loosening up, throwing in a few of his old 40's moves. God, he really had been a dancer back then.
You giggled when he grabbed your hand, twirling both you and Yelena at once. Across from you, John twirled Ava. And Alexei? He twirled... himself.
"Can I ... C-Can I try?" A quiet request from the beanbag in the corner made you all freeze in place.
Somehow the music suddenly paused, and the disco ball stopped spinning.
Bob. It had to be Bob. Everyone turned to look.
And there he was, slowly rising from the beanbag, hands wringing nervously, covered by his hoodie sleeves that were way too long.
Yelena blinked. "You've never ever joined us before"
"I know" Bob said quietly. "But... you all looked like you were having fun"
John smiled gently and handed him the mic. "Take it away, Bobby"
The music kicked in again, courtesy of Bob, and the final chorus began. He brought the mic to his lips.
And it wasn't just a timid little try.
No, Bob sang like a miracle. Your very own Bob, who got startled if someone opened a soda can too fast.
You'd expected soft and shy, and maybe a little out of tune. But instead, you got his entire soul poured into every word. He gave Sam Smith. He gave Adele. His voice was deep, haunting, like all his pain had been laced into every note.
"Nothing's gonna stop us now..."
Bob finished the chorus with his eyes closed, holding onto the mic for dear life with both hands as the song died down.
You could've heard a pin drop. Or Yelena's jaw hitting the floor.
"I'm never singing again" you whispered.
"You're our lead singer now!" Yelena yelled, launched into a side hug.
"Seriously" Bucky said, pointing. "That was something special, Bob" He admitted, patting his shoulder.
Bob blinked up at everyone, wide eyed. "I just... wanted to be part of it”
"Part of it? Bob you are it!" you said, grinning. "Next time, you're opening the night, if you'd like to of course"
"We've been listening to these two lunatics for so long" Ava shook her head, gesturing between you and Yelena "and all this time we had you just sitting there"
John clapped a hand on Bob's shoulder. "Well Bobby, looks like you're officially promoted"
"To what?" Bob asked innocently, face flushed from all the attention.
"Karaoke King”
Bob just smiled, quietly thanking everyone as they patted his shoulder. He looked like a kid on the playground who'd just been told he was cool for the first time in his life.
As the adrenaline wore off, the group began to scatter. John and Ava went straight to the kitchen in search of water. Bob followed behind, as Yelena and Alexei congratulated him again for the cookies.
You collapsed onto the couch next to Bucky, head draped over the back cushion as you caught your breath.
Your fingers found their way into his long, wavy hair, absentmindedly playing with a few strands. Bucky didn't even flinch, he was used to random hands in his hair ever since Valentina's infamous "makeover".
His eyes stayed glued to his phone, thumb scrolling through what looked like an eternal flood of congressional updates. Completely zoned out, his foot tapped against the floor as he began quietly humming to himself.
"Huungry eyes..."
Your hand froze mid-stroke. His voice did too.
He closed his eyes, and slowly turned his head towards you. The horror on his face said it all.
You were already on your feet, rising like a cartoon, microphone in hand and a wicked smile blooming on your face.
"Let's go, Barnes" you said, extending the mic like a challenge. "The stage is all yours"

Word Count: 7.8k
A/N:
Thank you so much @feral4youu my love for the idea for this fic! Your mind never ceases to amaze me.
You loved your dad.
As far as parents go, he was the best you could ask for. Loving, kind, not too terribly strict despite being the police chief. And he really, truly did love you.
Your mother had always been distant. When she left the two of you with nothing but a note, it hadn’t even been that big of an adjustment. It had always been you and your dad, and as long as you had him, you knew things would be alright.
You’d always had the type of relationship where you felt you could tell him anything. He’d come home from a long day at work and sit in the recliner with his beer, happily listening to you tell him the latest gossip in your friend group. He would listen with full attention, every now and then a genuine reaction - raised eyebrows, “Tina did what? With Carol’s boyfriend?”
The only things he could be strict about were grades, and boys.
You weren’t allowed to date until you were 15. And even then, any guy who wanted to take you out had to go through such rigorous questioning, they felt it wasn’t worth the effort. You were popular - head cheerleader, friendly, friends with the right people, smart and head of your class, and beautiful, according to the Hawkins population. So it’s not like you had a shortage of guys willing to take you out.
But your dad was having none of that.
“You don’t understand,” your dad would say. “Men are dogs, sweetheart. You’re better off without ‘em.”
Things changed your senior year.
You properly met Eddie Munson, first of all. He was a Super Senior, on his second attempt. And it’s not like you didn’t know of him before - everyone in Hawkins knew of Eddie ‘The Freak’ Munson. Most of your friends had been buying weed from him for years.
Eddie always flirted with you. He’d act like a total gentleman any time you were around, making space for you to walk, holding doors open for you, pulling your chair out when you sat down during class. When you’d go with Carol and Tina to buy, he’d single you out specifically, call you beautiful and make eye contact with only you.
“Think the Freak has a crush on you,” Carol laughed as the three of you left with your stash of weed.
“You think?” you asked with hope in your voice and butterflies in your stomach.
“Oh please, don’t tell me you’d consider it?” Tina said, her eyebrows raised.
“No, of course not,” you said. “I just…didn’t think he liked me like that.”
“He’s obsessed with you,” Carol said. “It’s obvious. He’s got a major hard-on for you.”
You blushed. “I don’t think-“
“Oh, he totally does,” Tina added. “So gross.”
“And you know Jason Carver has been into you for years-“ Carol said, but you cut her off.
“You know my dad doesn’t let me date,” you reminded her, mostly just to get off the subject of Jason.
“Which is so dumb,” Carol said. “Does he want you to die alone?”
“Probably,” you mumbled.
The next time you saw Eddie, you were both alone. You had been sitting out on the picnic table in the woods behind the school, wanting time alone. The sound of Eddie’s footsteps had startled you.
“Sorry,” Eddie said, a friendly smile on his face as he held his hands up. “Didn’t expect anyone to be out here.”
“Me either,” you said, putting your feet back on the ground to get up. “Sorry, I’ll just-“
“No, stay,” Eddie had said. “I could use the company.”
Eddie was easy to talk to. He was funny, he was nice, he made you feel comfortable. And when he ended up standing between your legs, his lips on yours and his hands gripping your bare thighs, well, you couldn’t say it was totally unexpected.
Eddie was your first, and you were his. But once you’d had sex, he was feral for it. You hooked up near constantly, any time he could pull you away without suspicion, he would.
You had been scared at first. You knew it would be a disaster if your dad found out. Not only were you not supposed to be doing anything with guys, but this was Eddie Munson. Your dad knew perfectly well what Eddie did for extra cash.
You had a few particularly close encounters. You always either rode the bus or got a ride from a friend home after school - your dad worked late and never had time to pick you up. So, you started spending your time with Eddie after practice.
“Fuck, baby,” Eddie panted from behind you. His hands gripped your hips tightly, light bruises appearing beneath his fingers. He didn’t even notice, too lost in his own pleasure he was chasing inside of you. “Always so tight. I’m gonna fuckin’ cum.”
“Please,” you gasped out. “I want you to.”
Eddie groaned, his hair tickling your back as his head dropped forward on his shoulders. His hips were rutting into you desperately, pumping his entire length into you. You could feel every ridge and vein of him - but you knew his shape by heart at this point.
He wrapped his arms around you and pulled your body flush against his own. He thrusted hard into you a few more times, then, with a cry of your name, he came, filling you deeply.
When he pulled out, he could see his cum dripping out of you. He watched with wide eyes, wanting nothing more than to dive back in, his cock already twitching back to life-
There was a banging on the side of the van.
“Munson!” your dad yelled. “I know you’re in there, and it better not be with my daughter.”
You both froze. “Fuck,” Eddie whispered, jumping into action and pulling his boxers and jeans back on. “Fuck!”
You pulled your dress back down, then searched all around you. “Eddie, where are my panties?”
“Oh, shit, sorry,” he said, a sheepish grin on his face as he pulled the thin lace material from the pocket of his jeans and handed them over. “Just thought I’d keep a souvenir.”
You rolled your eyes but couldn’t wipe the smile off your face as you put them back on. There was another loud banging and then Eddie threw open the back doors just as you straightened out the skirt of your dress.
Hopper looked into the vehicle, looking very pissed off. He said your name. “What are you doing in here?”
You wished you had thought of an excuse before this moment. “We have a project together.”
“Oh yeah?” Hopper didn’t sound like he believed you at all. “Where is it?”
Eddie met your eyes, like, you started this one, it’s on you. “We were just brainstorming. We just got it assigned today.”
Your dad sniffed the air- no doubt searching for the smell of weed. You just hoped he couldn’t smell the sex. When he didn’t recognize anything that set off alarms, he looked at you again. “Well, come on. I’m driving you home.”
You bid Eddie an awkward goodbye, then followed your dad to his car. You avoided looking at him as you buckled your seatbelt - you did just get your back blown out by Eddie in the back of his van, after all.
“Don’t hang out with him,” your dad said as he drove you home. “I’m serious. Anyone but him. Munson is trouble.”
“Dad, he’s not a bad guy-“
“Oh, come on,” he laughed. “I know what he does. And you’re too good to get involved in any of that. You have such a bright future, I don’t want to see it wasted on some loser.”
“Dad, Eddie is not a loser-“
“Sure,” he said. “But my point stands either way. Don’t waste time with him.”
You could still feel Eddie’s release between your thighs the whole way home.
Billy Hargrove came crashing into your life all on his own. He had come to Hawkins his senior year, taking over as the most popular guy in school.
“He’s a fucking asshole,” Steve had said, slamming his locker shut to make the point. “Seriously. Stay far away from him.”
It seemed like that had always been a personal challenge for you.
You actually met Billy when he joined the basketball team. You spent a lot of time with the basketball guys, being head cheerleader. It was his first game with the team, and you had to admit, he impressed you. Billy was really good. Your eyes stayed glued to him the entire game, and he definitely noticed with the way he kept smirking in your direction every time he’d do something cool.
“I think Billy’s looking at you,” Chrissy leaned over and said with a huge grin on her face.
You found yourself smiling back. Sure you’d heard the rumors about Billy already, but it’s not like you needed him to fall in love with you. You were down to just have some fun.
Billy loved that about you. You caught his attention the first time he ever saw you, but once he realized you were down for no strings attached hookups? You became his favorite girl in town.
He approached you after that game as everyone was running to the showers. He was a smooth talker, that was for sure. He gave ladies man vibes the second you saw him, but hearing him talk, you could really see it. It didn’t take a lot of flirting before you were sneaking into the men’s locker room with him after everyone else had left, letting him undress you and then take you against the wall while the steam and heat surrounded you.
Billy couldn’t get enough of you once he’d had you. And once he found out you wanted to keep things secret because you were the police chief’s daughter? That made you even more irresistible.
“You’re hooking up with Billy?” Eddie said, like he couldn’t believe what he was hearing. “Hargrove?”
“Um…yeah,” you’d said awkwardly, as Eddie was naked between your legs. He was kissing across your inner thighs, nearing where you needed him the most.
“Why?” he asked.
“Because I like him?” You sat up on your elbows, looking down at Eddie. “He’s not the worst guy ever like everyone says.”
“Only he is.” Eddie moved in and licked a stripe along your folds, making you gasp. “He’s a huge fucking asshole.”
“Well, I like him,” you defended as strongly as you could while Eddie was eating you out, groaning as he devoured you. He always knew how to get the last word of an argument.
“Why don’t you stop thinking about him and let me take care of you, baby?”
You were putting the last of your books away in your locker for the day when you felt a set of muscular arms wrap themselves around you, pulling you close into the owners’ firm body. Carol, Tina, and Chrissy gave you a mischievous look - it wasn’t hard to imagine who it was.
“Hey, baby,” Billy whispered into your ear. “What are y’doing?”
“Just getting ready to go home,” you said. “Carol’s driving me.”
Billy looked over at your friends as if noticing them for the first time. He gave them a wolfish grin before looking down at you. “Yeah, I think you’re gonna have a change of plans.”
“Oh yeah?” you laughed.
“Yeah,” he said again easily. “I think I’ll bring you home tonight.”
“Have fun, you two,” Carol said, then you watched as your friend group left you with nothing but a knowing look on each of their faces.
Billy was already kissing down your neck, his large hands sliding beneath the hem of your cheer skirt. “Need you so bad.”
You leaned back into his touch, nearly forgetting yourself and where you were. “Let’s go.”
You spotted Eddie on your way out, smoking a cigarette in the parking lot. You gave him a nod and he watched as you walked off towards the Camaro with Billy’s hand on your ass. For once, he thought it would be pretty funny if the police chief just so happened to be here.
Billy opened the passenger door for you, his hand trailing up your thigh as you slid into the seat. He was being needier than usual. Once he was seated himself, he started the car, his hand coming to rest on your bare thigh as he pulled out of the parking lot and sped off.
You always loved it when Billy drove with one hand like this. His fingers pushed up your skirt, playing with the hem of your panties. You were wet already, pushing down against him.
“Needy slut,” he hissed, although he was the one nearly begging for it. “Wait until I can get my hands on you.”
You expected him to take you to Lover’s Lake as usual, but instead he pulled up in front of his house. At least you assumed it was his house - a single story home with a screened in porch. No cars were outside. Billy had never taken you home before.
“Is this your place?” you asked him.
“Yeah,” he said. “But my dad and step mom went out of town for the weekend, so…we’re good.”
“What about your sister?”
“First of all, she’s not my sister,” he said. “And she’s staying with her friend. She won’t bother us.” He leaned over the seat towards you, placing a kiss on your lips. “We’ve got the place to ourselves all weekend. You could…even stay, if you wanted to.”
Billy was really asking you to spend the whole weekend with him? “Maybe.”
Billy smiled. He kissed you one more time, then the two of you climbed out of the Camaro. Billy unlocked the front door and you followed him inside. The inside of the house was much different than you expected. It hardly even looked like a family lived here. Billy’s weights were set up right off the living room with a tiny TV next to them. There was a closed bedroom behind it that you assumed was Max’s, then a hallway with more rooms to the right.
He dropped his denim jacket on the couch then opened the fridge and grabbed a beer, popping it open and taking a long drink. He was wearing a tight white t-shirt underneath the jacket, his even tighter jeans hugging his huge thighs. You could never say he wasn’t easy on the eyes.
He finished the beer and tossed it in the trash can, then turned to you. “D’you want anything? A beer, a soda, water…”
“I’m good,” you said. Billy smiled softly at you and then he spun you around, leading you down the short hall with his hand on your lower back. He opened the last door, revealing a bedroom that was definitely Billy’s, yet neater than you had been expecting.
His plaid bed sheets were tucked neatly, the bed made. There were no dirty clothes strewn across the floor. His cassettes and record collection were organized and put away. There weren’t even clothes poking out from his drawers. He had posters on his wall, Metallica you recognized, as well as some you didn’t know and some posters of girls.
Billy stepped around you, closing the door. “‘s not much,” he mumbled.
“It’s nice,” you smiled. He returned it.
“Now,” he said, “I’d like to see you on my bed.”
“Yeah?” you giggled as he wrapped his arms around you again, kissing all over your face and neck, down to what was exposed of your chest.
“Fuck yeah,” he said. His hands slid up your skirt again, grabbing your ass. He slapped it, making you gasp.
“Billy!”
He groaned. “I can’t help myself, baby. Every time I get my hands on you, I can’t fucking help myself.”
He pushed your skirt down your legs so it pooled at your feet. You stepped out of it, kicking it away. Billy was already working on your cheer top, pulling it over your head.
His hands roamed your body, left in nothing but your bra and the tiniest pair of panties that left little to the imagination. Billy was losing his mind at the sight of them, his hands rubbing over your ass, up your sides and to your tits, nipping at your neck and chest.
“Gonna mark you up real good,” Billy grumbled against your skin. “Let Munson see what he missed out on.”
You playfully slapped at him- “Billy, don’t be an asshole.”
“What?” he asked innocently. “If I have to share, I can at least send you back with the proof of what I did to you.”
You gasped out a moan as he bit down particularly hard on your neck, sucking on the skin and running his tongue over the bite. “Fuck, I need you right now.”
Billy pushed you down onto his bed. You bounced slightly as you watched him watching you, eyes never leaving your body as he kicked off his shoes, tossed his shirt and worked his belt open. You were practically drooling as he revealed more of his incredible body to you. You had never been too concerned with muscles or build before, but Billy’s body was something else entirely. He was hot.
He was already rock hard as he undid his jeans and shoved them and his boxers down. He wrapped a large hand around his shaft, tip flushed red and glistening with precum. You could see his hand shuddering as he stroked himself, eyeing you like he could eat you alive.
“Fuck,” he whispered. He crawled over your body, pulling your panties down and tossing them anywhere. He placed his hands on your knees and slowly spread your legs, groaning as he finally saw your pussy, so wet and ready for him.
He made quick work of your bra, getting rid of that and immediately wrapping his lips around your nipple. You arched into him, bare pussy grinding against his cock, desperate for him to stop teasing and fuck you already.
“God, you’re such a needy little slut. And everyone thinks you’re this good girl.” He nuzzled against the side of your head, lips brushing your ear as he whispered. “What would your daddy think if he could see you like this? Desperate for my cock?”
“Billy,” you whined. “Please don’t talk about my dad right now.”
Billy chuckled, pulling back to drag his cock through your folds, teasing your hole every now and then. “I bet he thinks you’re off somewhere studying right now. Gonna get into a real good school, right? Following the rules, never lying…” His tip slipped inside and you gasped, fingers gripping onto his sheets. “Definitely not letting guys like me fuck you stupid.”
He sunk fully into you with a roll of his hips, his entire thick length splitting you open. He moaned as he began thrusting into you quickly, the sound of his skin meeting yours filling the room. You held tightly onto his shoulders.
“Billy,” you moaned, fingers threading through his mullet of dirty blonde curls. You pulled on them slightly - he always loved when you did that. This time it earned a stutter from his hips, a weak “H-oh,” from him.
Billy never liked to admit weakness, but he was weak for you. You knew all the right things to do, the places to touch, the things to say. What was he supposed to do?
He buried himself in you with every thrust, each one powerful and strong, rocking the mattress. He would never admit it to you, but he never fucked the other girls the way he fucked you. He loved to take his time with you, to feel every inch of you, to savor it. He loved fucking you slow, watching the cute faces you’d make every time he hit your g spot with the head of his cock. He just loved looking at you - especially when your face was twisted in pleasure he was giving you.
“Pretty, pretty girl,” he hummed, looking down at you. Your eyebrows were drawn together, cheeks flushed, the slightest bit of sweat across your forehead, lips parted. You looked so beautiful like this, he thought.
He grabbed onto your thighs and pushed them up, spreading you wider and giving himself a better view. He was able to get deeper like this, pound into you faster, and he took advantage of that.
“You feel how deep I’m in you?” he grunted, hand resting on your lower belly.
“M-mmhmm,” you attempted to hum in agreement, but then he was pushing down, groaning as he could feel the pressure against his cock, and you were- oh god-
“Billy,” you cried, “I’m gonna cum-“
“Yeah, shit, yeah, cum for me,” he panted, fucking you faster, his own release imminent. He hiked your leg up over his shoulder and leaned over your body, kissing you hard as he nearly bent you in half.
Your orgasm hit you, but every thrust of his cock was still hitting that spot and making it feel like it was lasting forever. You tried to tell Billy it was too much, but the way he was laying on you made it impossible. A few actual tears slipped from your eyes.
Billy noticed immediately. “Holy shit,” he said, and then he dropped his head into your neck and cried out as he came, pumping his load into you, thrusting in as deep as possible to make sure you got every drop.
His trembling body remained on top of you for a bit longer, then he rolled off, pulling out and laying down next to you. He wrapped his arms around you and pulled you close, nuzzling his face into your neck. Billy Hargrove was not a cuddler after sex - usually it was okay thanks, bye. But with you…he never wanted to let you go.
You didn’t question it. You weren’t sure you wanted to go down that path.
Billy played with your hair as you laid there. He thought - about you, mostly. Should he actually ask you out? He’s been playing this cool guy who only does hookups role for so long, he’s almost forgotten how to initiate a relationship. Did he want one? With you, yes. Absolutely. So why didn’t he just ask? It drove him crazy that he knew you still slept with Munson. He had stopped sleeping with other girls. Sure, he hadn’t exactly told you that yet, because wouldn’t that make it too real? Would you even like that? Or would it scare you right back into Eddie’s arms? But if there’s one thing Billy knew, it’s how he felt about you.
You liked Billy. You really did. But could you even be together if you wanted to be? Your dad certainly knew of Billy, too. He’s just as high on the stay away list as Eddie.
But you let Billy cuddle you. You let him twirl your hair, trace your skin with his fingers, pepper your body in kisses and affection, whisper sweet nothings in your ear.
Maybe it was wrong of you. Maybe you just wanted to feel loved. Maybe you really could love him back. Or maybe you never would.
You spent that weekend with Billy, with a promise to your dad that you were at Chrissy’s. You felt horrible lying to him, but there’s no way he would have let you stay otherwise. The thought was laughable.
You had never lied to your dad before this year. It felt horrible, like grime stuck to your skin you could never wash away. And to lie so you could sleep with guys? Who even were you becoming?
You didn’t dwell on that thought for the weekend. You allowed yourself to be spoiled by Billy - you fucked, you watched movies, fucked some more, cooked together, slept in bed cuddled together, fucked again. When you finally left Sunday evening, Billy had a perfectly sated smile on his face, leaning against his bedroom door in nothing but a pair of boxers, smoking a cigarette as you packed your stuff.
You heard the door open as you were zipping up your bag, then- “Ew, gross.”
You smiled as Billy scrambled to throw some sweats on. “Hey, Max.”
“Hey,” she greeted you. She always liked you, the times you’d been in the car while Billy drove her home or to the arcade. At least you were nice and didn’t totally ignore her.
“You sure you don’t want me to take you home?” Billy asked gently as you headed for the front door with your cheer bag. His hand rested on your cheek, looking into your eyes like you held the secrets of the universe there. “I don’t like you walking alone.”
“That would kind of give away the lie,” you said, with a forced playfulness. You didn’t exactly want to walk all the way home either, but you weren’t going to pull up at home in Billy Hargrove’s Camaro.
“Let me at least take you part way,” he said. “It’s a long walk.”
Eventually, you agreed to that. Billy put a shirt on and escorted you out to the car. He drove you most of the way home, stopping half a mile from your cabin. “You sure you’re good from here?”
“Yes, Billy,” you said. You were already climbing out of the car with your bag slung over your shoulder. “Thank you. For everything. I’ll see you around.”
“Yeah,” he said. “See you.”
Billy watched you walk as far as he could see, then found a spot to turn around and go back to his own house. He knew he needed to be there before his dad and Susan got home.
When you saw your dad was already at home, you breathed a sigh of relief that you hadn’t let Billy drive you all the way. You knew it was unlikely, but it was still a possibility. You walked up the front steps and let yourself inside.
Hopper looked up as you walked in, a smile on his face. “Well if it isn’t my beautiful daughter I never see. How was Chrissy’s?”
He didn’t sound suspicious at all, which was a good thing, but only made you feel a million times worse. “Good. We had fun.”
“Good,” he said. He took another sip from his beer. A pause. “That Munson boy called for you again.”
You almost rolled your eyes. You had told Eddie time and time again that you would call him. “Oh yeah? Probably just about the project.”
Your dad hummed. “You know I don’t want you spendin’ time with him-“
“-anymore than I have to, yeah I know,” you said. You tried not to let visions of things you and Eddie had already done flash through your mind, but you were powerless to stop it.
“He’s bad news, honey,” he said. “We’ve had him in the station a lot. Him and that…new Hargrove boy.”
Your cheeks flushed. Of course your two hookups were the entirety of the list. “I won’t, dad. I hardly even know them.”
“Let’s keep it that way,” he said. “You’re a good girl. You’re not dumb. Don’t do something dumb.”
“Where were you all weekend?”
Eddie’s voice purred in your ear as he wrapped his arms around you, pulling you close into his lean body. You giggled, letting him hold you, touch you.
“Billy’s,” you said, like it was nothing.
Eddie froze. “You were at Hargrove’s all weekend?”
“Well, yeah,” you said, turning around in Eddie’s arms. “His parents were gone for the weekend, so he asked me to stay over.”
Eddie was looking at you with his brows furrowed. “That’s serious.”
“No it’s not,” you said dismissively, waving that idea off. “He just wanted to get laid all weekend.”
“I’m telling you,” Eddie said, looking at you seriously. “It is. If Hargrove asked you to play house with him all weekend, it’s because he feels something for you. More than just sex.”
“Eddie, do we have to do this right now?” You played with the curls at the bottom of his neck, the ones that always drove him crazy. Eddie groaned, the fight leaving his body.
“Jus’ don’t want you forgettin’ about me,” he mumbled.
Your heart sunk. “Eddie, that’s not gonna happen.”
Much like Billy, Eddie also had constant thoughts of why he didn’t just ask you out. You were everything he wanted. The only thing he wanted. He didn’t look at other girls at all. He knew the thing with your dad would be an obstacle, but it didn’t have to mean there couldn’t be anything, right?
And he thought you liked him, too. That was until Billy came into the picture. Before Billy, you and Eddie just hooked up with each other, no one else. It was just a few words away from being official - at least that’s how Eddie saw it. When he learned you had started sleeping with Billy, he had to pretend to be a lot less phased than he was.
Because he had been hurt.
“What if Billy asks you out, huh?” Eddie asked. “What would you do?”
You looked up into Eddie’s big brown eyes. “Why haven’t you asked me out?”
Eddie didn’t know what to say to that. His lips parted, but no sound came. Before he could think about it too much, you connected your lips to his. Any thoughts that had been in his head swiftly left as he felt your tongue prodding against his bottom lip.
“Take me somewhere,” you whispered, and Eddie’s grip tightened on you like he was scared you’d drift away.
“Let’s go to my van,” he said.
You and Eddie practically ran out of the school hand in hand, giggling as you sprinted for his van. You got some strange looks from other students - even your friends didn’t understand your weird flip-flopping between Eddie and Billy - but you didn’t care. You never had. And you were well liked enough that no one was going to go tattling to your dad.
Eddie started up the van and drove off. He could and would have fucked you right there in the school parking lot where everyone could see the van rocking as he pounded into you, but he thought you deserved more than that.
So Lover’s Lake it was.
He pulled to a stop in front of the familiar lake, killing the engine. He nodded back towards the back, and you didn’t have to be told twice before you were climbing between the seats and to the large open space behind them. Eddie was right behind you, and then he was all over you.
He felt every inch of your body, like he couldn’t get enough of touching you. You kissed frantically, hands and lips everywhere. Eddie groaned, his pants even tighter than how they began. He shuddered when you ran your hand over the bulge in his jeans.
“Please,” he gasped. “Need you.”
Eddie could be dominant, but for the most part he was much more submissive than Billy. He had no problem begging, or letting you take control. Billy was different. He liked pushing you down, taking what he felt belonged to him. Eddie was all sweet touches and pleading and looking up at you with his doe eyes while he begged to cum.
You began undoing his belt and jeans while Eddie’s hand slipped beneath your dress. He stroked you over your panties, feeling the material soaked from your arousal. Nothing got Eddie off like seeing how badly you wanted him.
Just as you shoved his jeans and boxers down enough to free his cock, Eddie pulled away from you, pushing you back and making you gasp as he dove in between your legs. He buried his face against your cunt, breathing in your scent, nose pressed against the wet material of your thin panties. You gasped again when his tongue came out and licked you over the fabric.
“Need to taste you,” he begged. “You’re so fuckin’ sweet. Can’t resist this pussy.”
You whined. “Please.”
Eddie didn’t need to hear anything else. He slipped his ringed fingers beneath the waist of your panties and pulled them down, wasting not a single second before he was burying his face in your bare pussy. His long tongue licked along your folds, then he really dove in, two fingers slipping inside of you until you could feel the metal of his rings against your skin.
He thrusted his fingers as he worked that talented tongue over your clit, making your head absolutely spin as you writhed on the messy floor of his van. But how many times had he fucked you back here already? Eddie had fucked you lots of places, to be fair.
“Eddie, I’m- oh!”
You cried as he sucked hard, your thighs trembling around his head, fingers tangling in his curls. You pulled on his hair, making him moan against your pussy. He was thrusting against the blanket beneath you, his dripping cock rubbing against the material providing some kind of relief.
He just needed you to cum for him, at least once. He didn’t think he could survive without it, didn’t want to cum inside you without the taste of your own release still on his tongue.
You were going to give him exactly what he wanted. You could feel it building deep in your belly, your chest heaving faster with the speed of your breaths. He sped up the pace of his fingers, his tongue working over you exactly the way he remembered you loved.
“Eddie!”
Eddie groaned as you tightened around his fingers, cumming all over his hand and mouth. He fucked you faster through your release, until you were covering your face and telling him to stop. When you couldn’t take anymore, he pulled back and placed a final kiss against your clit.
“Always taste so good,” he said with a wicked grin, like he’d gladly do it all over again. If he knew how Billy had made you cum so hard you cried, he would take it as a personal challenge.
He kissed you, pushing your dress up your body. You could fully taste yourself on his tongue, and it excited you. The first time Eddie had kissed you after going down on you, you weren’t sure you liked it - but it grew on you. He slipped your dress off over your head and threw it to the side.
“You’re the most beautiful girl in the world, you know that?” he asked quietly as he nuzzled between your tits, kissing over every bit of exposed skin he could get to.
“That’s not true,” you said, like the natural reaction to being called beautiful was to shut it down as soon as possible.
“But it is,” he said. He looked down, then back up. “Do you see what you do t’me?”
“That’s not that hard to do,” you teased, and Eddie smiled.
“To this level, yeah, pretty hard to do.” He kissed you. “I only get this hard for you.”
“How romantic,” you giggled. Your laugh turned into a gasp when he bit down on your neck, covering a hickey Billy had left over the weekend.
“I can be romantic, if that’s what you want,” he said. “I just thought you liked getting fucked like a whore.”
“I do,” you said quickly. “I like both.”
Eddie smirked down at you. “I could be slow and gentle sometimes too, y’know.”
“I like when you fuck me,” you pouted.
Eddie chuckled. “I like fucking you too. I just, I don’t know…sometimes I wanna take it slow. Really look at you. Really feel you.”
Your heart was beating faster. “Yeah?”
Eddie was kissing across your chest now. “Yeah,” he said quietly. “Can I do that?”
You thought about it. It seemed like it was awfully close to catching feelings, which you had promised yourself you wouldn’t do, for either of them. But the way Eddie made your heart beat, the way you wanted him to make love to you, wanted him to love you-
“Okay,” you said. “Just this once.”
Eddie smiled. He unhooked your bra and let you pull his t-shirt over his head. He kissed all over your body, taking his sweet time working his hips back between your legs.
“Don’t wanna use a condom,” he mumbled. “I wanna feel you. All of you.”
“You don’t have to,” you said. “I’m on birth control, you know that.”
Eddie knew that very well. He was paranoid about the consequences, though - usually he used a condom every time anyway, just to be safe. But sometimes…
“No fucking condom,” he said. He kissed you hard again as he lined himself up at your entrance, pushing just barely inside. He sunk into you with a slow roll of his hips, your body turning to pure electricity as you felt every single inch of him inside of you.
He was slowly grinding his hips into you, carefully thrusting at a pace slower than he’d ever used. It took everything in him not to pound you into the floor, but he was loving the feeling of savoring your body. He could really feel every inch of your velvety walls, the way you clenched around him, holding his cock tightly within your warmth.
“You’re perfect,” he murmured, whispering right in your ear as he made love to you. “Feel so fuckin’ good. Always so tight for me, like your body was made for me. Only me.”
Eddie always got a little possessive, especially if he knew you had recently been with Billy. He would never say it, but it was obvious that it drove him crazy. He needed to claim you for his own.
Eddie’s lithe body rolled as he pressed his cock into you over and over, holding your body close to his. You could feel his heart beating against your own chest, and you wondered if he could feel yours, too. Eddie kissed your neck as he fucked you, covering every mark Billy had made.
He reached in between your bodies and rubbed against your clit. You whimpered, something had already been building just from the feeling of the way he was fucking you, taking you apart.
“Eddie,” you whined, “I’m…I’m gonna cum again.”
He groaned. “Yeah, baby, I want you to. Got to taste your cum on my tongue, now I wanna feel you make a mess on my cock.”
You whimpered again as Eddie began to lose himself, his hips speeding up back to a normal pace for him. His hips were snapping against yours, his moans becoming shaky and weak. You were throbbing around him as your orgasm built and built.
When it snapped, your mouth dropped open in a wide O, your nails digging into Eddie’s back and scratching down his skin, leaving bright red marks. You cried out his name again and again like a prayer, and the feeling of your pussy clenching around him combined with the look on your face pushed Eddie over the edge.
He came hard inside of you, grunting your name until it turned into more of a whine, a plead. He shook as he held onto you - Eddie always came so hard, so much. You could feel him filling you, feel the way he came so much it was dripping out from around him.
When he pulled out, he inhaled sharply, eyes glued to the mess he left behind. His favorite part, the part he didn’t get to enjoy when he used a condom. This was worth the risk.
“Fuck, look at you,” he remarked. “That’s so fuckin’ filthy.” His eyes remained glued to you, taking in the view, until a lightbulb went off in his head. “Shit, wait! Don’t move.”
You watched him curiously as he reached under his seat. He came back out holding a polaroid camera - and your eyes widened.
“I got it for us,” he said sheepishly. “Can I…?”
“You want to take a picture?” you asked, incredulous.
“Well, yeah,” he laughed. “I’ll be looking at this one every night.”
You weren’t sure how comfortable you were with this exactly, but he seemed so excited, you didn’t want to tell him no. “Okay. Just don’t get my face in it.”
“You got it.” Eddie moved back between your legs and lifted the camera to his face. He lined up the shot and took the photo. When it came out of the bottom of the camera, he held it up, waiting for it to develop. You knew it had when a wolfish grin spread across his features - “Oh, that’s a good one.” He looked up at you. “Do you wanna see?”
“I’m good,” you said, scrunching your nose up. You weren’t sure if you wanted to see yourself in that way - he could keep that to himself. He certainly seemed to love it, though, the way he kept staring at the image.
“Gonna cherish this,” he said with a smile. He stuffed the photo in the back pocket of his jeans. He grabbed a towel from the floor and cleaned you up with it, then handed you your clothes. You both redressed in a comfortable silence - you’d been here many times before.
“What do you want to do now?” Eddie asked. He pulled a cigarette from his pack. “I don’t really want you to go.”
You shrugged. “What do you think?”
Eddie lit the cigarette and brought it to his lips, taking a long drag. “We could smoke,” he offered. “We could make out. We could go back to my place and listen to music, smoke, and make out.”
You laughed. “Alright. Your place it is.”
It took you too long to realize something was wrong.
Being on birth control, you didn’t always get your period - so that didn’t set off any alarm bells for you at first. It was when you started getting sick after breakfast, when your clothes felt like sandpaper against your boobs, when you had to pee 50 million times a night. That’s when you got scared.
“What’s wrong with you?” a wide-eyed Tina asked at school when you showed up dressed in a hoodie and sweatpants, hood pulled over your disheveled hair and dark circles beneath your eyes. “You look like shit. Like actually.”
“Yeah, are you okay?” Carol asked. She put the back of her hand against your forehead.
“I’m pregnant,” you said.
The girls froze.
“…What?” Carol asked, sure she hadn’t heard what she’d just heard. Her, Tina, and Chrissy leaned in. “Say that again.”
“I don’t know for sure, but-“
“No, say what you just said again,” Tina said. “You know, the thing you said just a minute ago.”
You looked up, willing the tears brewing in your eyes not to fall. “I’m pregnant. I think.”
The girls just blinked at you.
“Did you take a test?” Chrissy finally asked.
“No,” you said. “I haven’t…I’ve been scared.”
“Well, don’t just go around telling people you’re pregnant when you don’t even know,” Tina said.
“Oh my god,” Carol said, shoving her books back into her locker. “Come on. Let’s go.”
Carol led the way out of school. No one stopped the four of you as you walked out with confidence, like you were exactly where you were supposed to be. No one ever questioned the four of you.
Carol drove you all to the pharmacy. You had a whole entourage with you as you went inside, picking up one of the results in 30 minutes! tests. Minutes later you were shut in your downstairs bathroom, grateful your dad had such a set work schedule, and taking the test while the girls bickered outside.
“If she’s pregnant, I’m the godmother-“
“No, she would pick me, we’ve been friends longer-“
“Yeah, but she likes me best, so-“
The chatter stopped when you walked out. Your friends looked at you with concern. “30 minutes,” you said, as if that wasn’t a potential death sentence.
They tried their best to keep you entertained and your mind off things as you waited the 30 minutes, but it didn’t work. The seconds ticked by like hours.
When the 30 minutes were up, each of your friends squeezed your hand, offering their silent support as you went inside to see the results. You looked down, and, sure enough- blue. Positive.
You choked out a sob. The girls rushed to your side, looking down at the results and then pulling you into a group hug.
“Oh, honey,” Carol said, stroking your hair. “It’s gonna be okay.”
“You’re not in this alone,” Chrissy said. “We promise. You have us.”
“Do you…” Tina began awkwardly, like she knew she shouldn’t ask what she was about to but couldn’t help herself. “Do you know who the dad is?”
It occurred to everyone at that exact moment. No. You didn’t.
Something broke inside and the tears began flowing freely. You covered your face as choked sobs escaped your lungs - you were scared.
The girls did their best to calm you, to assure you everything would be okay, but you didn’t believe them. This was a fucking disaster. A baby, and no idea who the father was. There were two very possible options.
And what the fuck happened to your birth control? Useless, apparently.
The girls stayed with you all day. No one cared about skipping school, even though it was the first time you’d really done it. By the time the school day was over, you had come up with somewhat of a plan.
“Can you take me to Billy’s?” you pleaded with Carol.
She raised her brows. “You want to tell him? Now?”
“Yes,” you said. “I just…he’s…you know how Billy is.” You twisted one of your rings around your finger. “He…gets upset. So I just want to get it over with. I don’t want him to find out through a rumor or something.”
“We’re not gonna tell,” Carol said. Her eyes darted over to where Tina stood across the room. “Well, I’m not gonna tell. But yeah, I’ll drive you.”
You insisted Carol drop off Tina and Chrissy before taking you to Billy’s. The nerves were in place, and you admitted you were putting it off. Once the girls were gone and Carol’s car idled in front of the Hargrove residence, you just stared at the front door. Billy’s car was here - he was home. You didn’t see any other cars.
“You sure you want to do this today?” Carol asked, her face full of concern. “You don’t have to. You can wait.”
“There’s no point,” you shrugged. “He has to find out. I might as well…get it over with.”
Carol watched as you got out of the car and walked the sidewalk to the porch. You’d only been here the one time before, but you knew you were at the right place. You raised your fist - and let it hover over the door. You stood there - god, what would you even say? Would Billy be pissed? Would he blow up? Would he do something?
Your hand came down against the door.

imagine just having the freedom to have your hands all over frank castle. idk what it is but lately I've been really into tipsy!reader and frank, but just coming home from being out and him being in just a pair of sweats, being able to kiss and rub and trace every scar, every hair, HIS NOOOOOOSE. I fear we as a people don't talk about his nose enough it's genuinely perfection in my eyes. just that, being all pretty for frank while you get him worked up. depending on the severity of your intoxication he may or may not let it go further, also depends on how bad you're teasing him🤭
Thank you for this super fun request dear anon! This one turned out to be a favorite of mine and i hope i did your vision justice. Enjoy!!

These fucking heels were killing you.
The room was spinning and you couldn’t find your goddamn keys. “Son of a bitch…” Your acrylic nails made it more difficult for your hands to effectively rummage around your purse. You start to frantically dig harder only to quickly pause as Frank’s voice echoed in the back of your head, “Hey come on— i’ll pay ‘em off for you. It’s nothing, i like doing this for you.”
The interruption granted you a moment of sobriety and it proved to be effective when your fingers curled around a familiar shape. “Hell yeah.”
You step inside to find the already dark apartment with only one source of illumination from the side of the couch; cascading the room with a dim, yellow light. Once the door closed, you brace your back on it and let out a relieved breath.
“I’m homee babyyy!” You call out, knowing Frank would stay up as long as he needs to make sure you arrive home safe from your bi-weekly hang outs with your friends. Though the intent on having a smooth arrival was interrupted by a shooting pain that went up your leg. “Ow! Fuck! Stupid fucking-“
“Hey sweetheart— whole lotta cursing there! You good?” Frank’s voice echoed from somewhere inside the apartment.
“My heels! Ugh. They’re hurting me.” You crouch down to fumble with the straps that was tightly wrapped around your ankle. “Pleasee God just this one time….gimme a break.” You whined.
“Need any help?”
“Nope!” You let out with an over exaggerated ‘P’.
After another failed attempt, you crumbled to sit on the floor in exhaustion, causing a small thud to echo in the room. As if a loyal dog, the noise quickly beckoned Frank’s attention away from his book, and before you could struggle by yourself further, you hear him padding towards you. Like clockwork.
Maybe it was the alcohol in your system, but you couldn’t deny the fact that you feel a spark of arousal in the pit of your stomach at the sight of him crouching in front of you. Frank looked freshly showered and he smelled so nice. The grey sweatpants he had on has always been your favorite. Although tempting, you could never tell him that; not when you could freely ogle at his bulge without him knowing.
Your eyes trailed from his hands to his flexing arms, working to gently take off your heels. He looked strong and untouchable in the white wife beater. The shape of it further emphasizing his prominent muscles.
“Frank…baby you don’t need to be doing all this.” You affectionately stroked the back of his hand with your palm.
“Quiet.” He gruffed. “I like-“
“Doing this for you.” You finish for him.
Frank’s dark eyes flicked briefly to meet yours in acknowledgment and he tried his best to downplay the smile that blossomed. “That’s right.”
“Soooo sweet, my Frankie.” You mumbled as your fingers raked through his cropped hair. “So handsome too.” He stiffened slightly as you sneaked the line in.
Frank doesn’t always react outwardly to things, he prefers to keep things close; never to let it be seen by anyone. Unfortunately for him, you make it difficult for him to do so. Especially when you make him all flustered and shy, like molten butter under the sun.
Frank cleared his throat as he placed your heels back on the shoe rack. “S’nothing.” You replied with a hum.
“Tell me what hurts.”
“I think my right leg’s crampin’ babe.” He then went to sit and pulled your leg over his lap. His hands were gentle as they massaged the tender area, but you still winced at his touch. “Let me know if i’m goin’ too hard.”
“No no, it’s good. Feels really good baby.”
You lean back on your hand and chased after his face with the other. Thumb coming up to swipe over a scar that’s formed on his cheek.
His hands trailed from your calf to your thighs, straightening out and relaxing your muscles. Frank wasn’t trying to start anything and you knew that. But how can you not get aroused as he inches to your upper thigh.
“Y’wanna know something babe?” You start, mind itching to distract yourself from his touch.
“What?”
“They talked my ear off about their shitty boyfriends, aaalll night. Apparently, all of ‘em hate listening to their girls—“ You pause to curse as he pressed on a tender spot.
“But they looove to just sit on their asses and fuck—they’re selfish pricks! Especially in bed. It’s a shame to hear my girls claim that there’s just no more proper men left in the world.” You frowned. Frank loves it when you go off on your drunken chatter.
“That so?” His tone amused.
You couldn’t stop the drunken giggle that promptly escaped, “Yep, and duh of course i disagreed. I mean, look at you!” You exclaimed with a roll of your eyes, like it was the most obvious thing in the world. “You’re like, the best thing that’s ever happened to me.”
Before you could catch Frank’s flustered reaction, “Also, do you remember Mia?”
He nodded, fingers still working their magic on your leg.
“She- fuck.” You held another laugh before continuing, “She swears the guy she’s dating has the smallest, tiniest micro dick. But- but, listen to this yeah.” You ramble as you waved your pointer finger to prove a point.
Frank smiled as he listened to you intently.
“They haven’t fucked yet. But she swears it cuz he has the skinniest nose she’s ever seen on a guy! Like isn’t that soo crazy!?”
“Wouldn’t know much about that sweetheart.” He then breathed out a small laugh.
In response, you put a hand on your chest and scoffed, face twisting in confusion, “Oh? Well well welllll Frankie, i beg to differ my love.”
Cocking a brow in amusement he threw a look your way and chuckled.
You narrowed your eyes, “Can you guess what she said next?”
He stopped moving his hands and rested them on your thigh instead, softly stroking up and down.
“Nope.” He uttered.
“How lucky i am that i have a boyfriend with a decent sized nose, that technically leans towards the bigger side.” You continue with a smug expression plastered on your face.
The both of you burst into laughter as you finished your story. Your heart ached as you watched him openly laugh, body shaking and struggling to contain himself. It’s a rare occurrence. Which is why you’re savoring every moment of it now. A small time away from the darkness that digs its claws into him often.
Bottom lip captured between your teeth, you smiled at him as your joined laughter naturally dies down. He leaned his head on the wall and threw you another look with a smile on his face. Both your eyes meeting to seemingly be stuck in a trance; silently communicating.
“Shit. All this talk about noses got me feeling horny.” You joked, body slowly shuffling to get on top of him and he welcomes it. His broad palm settled on your hips, affection fogging up his features. “I’m glad to hear my nose got you all worked up.” He shoots back with a sly smirk.
You giggled again before leaning in to lick the seam of his lips. He responds by sucking your tongue into his mouth; slowly. Equally savoring your taste. The kisses quickly deepened and the gentleness seemed to fade as soon as it started.
Your hips start to slowly move in his hold, testing the waters still. Eager to find out how far he’s willing to go. Frank’s answer was apparent as he helped you ground your pussy harder, pulling and pushing you along the length of his cock. The glide made easier by your own arousal that was starting to seep out of your panties.
“I’m so fucking horny Frank.” You mumble into his mouth. “I want you to fuck me.” Moaning softly against his mouth as you felt the head of his dick push against your clothed clit just right. He mindlessly start to massage your ass, leading your legs to wrap around his hips. He parts from you and leans back to voice out, “Hold on to me.”
He stood up and walks over to the couch, with you in his arms. You couldn’t help but suck dark marks into his neck as he’s walking. Teasing bites trace up to nibble on his lobe.
You expected him to dump you into the couch and fuck you into it. But you were pleasantly surprised to find him turning to fall backwards into it. The drop jostled your body slightly, causing you to press against his bulge. You rose up and threaded your fingers under the edge of your short dress and peeled it over your head. Leaving you bare in just your soaked panties.
Frank licked his lips and swiped a thumb over your pebbled nipple. “No bra tonight huh?” You feel his cock twitch under you.
You respond with a shake of your head, “Nuh uh. Best decision ever i think.”
“So beautiful.” He whispered and before you could say anything else. Frank cupped your breast and gave it a soft squeeze, running his thumb over a nipple, giving it a gentle pull. His lips suddenly came up to wrap around the other. You whimper when you feel him swirl his tongue around it with the occasional nibble.
Your cunt ached for more friction, so you plant your hands on his shoulders and you continue to grind back and forth on his erection.
Frank pulls off you with a pop to groan. Your teasing movements felt like torture, not fully satisfying. He could feel your wetness start to seep through his sweatpants. He tightened his grip around your hip to stop your grinding.
“Hold on sweetheart. Get up on your knees for a sec.”
You whimper and complained, “But you feel too good.”
“Do you want my dick in you or not?” He challenged, his own patience is wearing thin.
So you obliged. Struggling a bit to hover above him.
Frank got up slightly to push his sweatpants down. Not all the way, just enough to get his dick out, and you almost drooled at the sight.
He wasn’t wearing any underwear.
You let out a shaky breath as he thumbed your panties to the side; exposing your cunt to the cold air. Fingers slipping between your folds, feeling your wetness.
“Fuck baby. You weren’t lyin’ huh.” He then begins to push a finger into you, slowly dragging it in and out. Feeling out your walls and you bit your lip to muffle your noises as he pushed in a second finger. Leaving room for the slick noises of Frank fingering you to be heard.
“Shit.”
Frank shuffled closer and sucked your nipple into his mouth again, briefly this time; opting to lick up your neck instead. Softly nipping to leave his own set of marks.
“Frankie….” You whine, hand coming up to cradle his head.
His fingers were still thrusting rhythmically inside you, expertly causing you to arch further into his touch. But it wasn’t what you wanted.
“Frankieeee…Come on, put it in already. Please.” You attempt to pull off his fingers but his hand swiftly shot up to hold on to your waist as he jack hammered his fingers inside you.
“Fuck!” You yelp. His dick was so close, it was right there. Taunting you in all its glory.
He laid back to take your form in. “Not yet.” He growled.
“I want you to come for me once first.”
You threw your head back as you crumbled. He fucked his fingers into you harsher, palm now slapping against your swollen clit.
“Fffffuckk!” Your eyes roll back as you felt yourself cumming, giving yourself fully to the sensation. His fingers slow a bit as your muscles convulsed, giving you a semblance of a break.
“Atta girl.” He praised.
You closed your eyes and took ragged breaths as you came down from your high. Mouth still open to release soft noises of satisfaction.
Though your moment of rest was short lived. Your eyes shot open at the sound of something ripping.
“Frank!”
He threw what remained of your panties to somewhere around the room and was quick to grab hold of his dick.
“Breathe sweetheart.” He sighed out before pushing his whole girth inside of you in one swoop.
The stretch was imposing, but it was nothing you haven’t dealt with before.
With no time to waste, Frank starts to move in and out of your slick pussy and you tighten around him. Sucking him in, until his tip is lodged against your cervix. Always so deep in this position.
You collapsed into his chest weakly, body no longer strong enough to hold yourself up, and all you could do was take.
“Mmmh..Yesyesyes..fuuuuckkk..yesbaby. So fucking good.” You babble.
Frank fucked up into you just like you wanted, unforgiving and precise. Bottoming out at an angle that makes your stomach clench. His hands are suddenly on your ass to give it a few slaps. He groaned as he felt your cunt flutter around him from the act.
“Y’like that?”
You weakly nod as your drool seeps into his shirt.
He pounds into you harder now, the noises getting wetter, sloppier and stickier. With sweat running down his forehead from the exertion. So you aid him in his efforts to take you both to the peak and fucked back onto his dick to the best of your abilities. You’re sobbing, tears flowing out from the mind-melting pleasure.
You then feel his thrust start to falter. So you press into him, clawing at his shoulders, trembling.
“I’m gonna fucking cum.” He groaned into your ear and you swear the sound of him turns you on even more.
“Cum inside, fill me up. Please!”
You couldn’t tell how hard you were screaming. It felt like you lost control of your body, your voice, everything. It was all his to control, you had no say in anything.
With a final thrust of his hips, you reach your high. White sparks burst behind your lids as you came all over him. Frank kept his hand on your ass as he reached his own climax. Squeezing them roughly to make sure you don’t move a muscle as he pumped his cum inside you. Getting it as deep as it possibly could. Moaning as your cunt milked him dry.
To no surprise, his come was slipping down your thighs, your cunt already stuffed too full. Inconveniently dripping to his sweatpants as well.
“Damn. You’re getting me wet all over sweetheart.” He teased you fondly. Pushing you off his chest gently to take off his drooled-up shirt and letting you slump on his chest again now that he’s bare.
“M’sorry.” You mumble. “Can’t move.”
You felt a rumble in his chest as he chuckled deeply. “It’s okay baby. You’re good where you are.” He plants a kiss on your forehead as he wrapped his arms around you.
It took all of your strength to look up at him, “You make me so happy y’know that?” You murmured.
He looked down and his eyes soften at the sight of you. The corners of his mouth tipped upward at your statement.
“You do so much for me and i can only hope that i’m the same kind of person for you as well Frank.”
A heavy sigh flowed from him before he leaned over to kiss you.
“You’re much more than that to me sweetheart.”

PRO PLAYER!SAE AND HIS MEAN DOLL!GIRLFRIEND
private flights home,, lipstick on his neck,, stadium lights,, designer bags in his locker,, perfume laced hoodies,, iced-out watches,, thigh-high boots on his couch

“You look good in my jersey, baby. Too bad it won't stay on for more than five minutes.”
ʚ pro player!sae and doll!gf ɞ you're his favorite headache. Your the kind of girlfriend who shows up to his games late, wearing his number stitched onto a miniskirt, camera-ready and unbothered. the media calls you his doll, that's only when you keep your mouth closed. because sae knows you don't take shit from anyone or anything and he thinks it's the hottest thing ever.
ʚ pro player!sae and doll!gf ɞ you're mean, sharp-tongued, and hard to impress. call him “starboy” when you're annoyed, “baby” only when you wants something. but you're so obsessed with him, like he is with you. he dresses you up in designer and silk only to take it off the second you guys get home.
ʚ pro player!sae and doll!gf ɞ he’s cold with everyone but you. on the field, he’s ruthless — off it, he melts under your manicured fingers and sweet voice. no one gets to him like you do. He's not afraid to keep you in check, though. no matter how much you act like you're in control, when sae has you under him, his fat tip teasing your entrance, you forget it all and all you want is for him to pound you into the bed, your nails digging into his back — which his teammates will question him about — as you beg him to put it in.
ʚ pro player!sae and doll!gf ɞ He’s not afraid to keep you in check, to remind you who’s really in charge. When you’re too sassy, too full of attitude, he’s the one who’s not afraid to make you cry in bed and make you apologize. but in the end, you both are perfect for eachother, with his idgaf attitude and your sass, it's so perfect it pisses others off.
ʚ pro player!sae and doll!gf ɞ they hate 'em cause they ain't 'em. everyone is jealous of you guys but only cause they can't have what you both have. his way of spoiling you is taking you to the Caribbeans every month on his private jet, or buying you a 2 million dollar necklace when you're upset. and when you fight, it’s fireworks — but when you make up, it’s ruinous. they’re toxic in theory, perfect in practice. he’s your world-class player. you're his designer nightmare. and both of you wouldn’t survive a day without each other.

The Angel Wire
No one knows what to do with the angel tangled in the power lines. The poor thing’s body was wrapped around and around the sparking wires. A twisted-up ball of heavenly light. The face was obscured by a bent halo—a golden glow that sometimes oscillates like bad television signal. The wings float loosely in the air, all twelve feet of silken feathers, ragged and torn at the ends.
A storm had felled the trees and the poles and anything taller than a chicken coup in one swoop. Anyone who dared cross the puddles and debris had to risk being electrocuted by the live wires or blinded by the angel’s weakly pulsing light. Cooing sounds emerged from the angel, sad little calls for distant ears.
The creature would periodically make a break for it too—wings going taut and rising in a flurry of trumpets and frantic flapping. The electrical wires held fast, twisting against the angel’s soft flesh and pushing back. It fell, it always fell, back into the nest of wires and would make those weak cooing noises. I was an ornithologist before all this town, town, town and couldn’t help but think, pigeon.
The chaplain went first. He got down to pray under the angel’s bent body, close as he dared and in the mud. Everyone knew he wasn’t but a few weeks off the drink and his hands still shook when he lifted up the cross. The nun, she was retired but we still called her that, caught the 921 bus to the next town that same day.
Some said she was going to the next town over to get a proper priest. Others said she had crossed herself and high-tailed it out of there. What bad luck it was going to be to have a dead angel in our town electrical wires.
All this debris and only the birds can get close enough to it, flapping around the angel's head and perching on its mighty back. They call to each other.
Davie, who I had once loved, offered to fetch his shotgun and put it out of its misery. The youngest one there, a girl named Clara, cried so hard she had to be walked back and forth down the lane three times. We opted to put “shooting a messenger of above” on the back burner. We gathered up wire cutters, holy books, rubber boots, and a good tree-cutting ax from the mess of our homes and piled them up. We'd wait a day or so at least, watching the angel and all silently hoping it would make it out on its own.
I wasn’t a praying woman anymore. My house was a testament to a lot of broken things before it was ever leveled by the storm. But I didn’t have any little ones to walk up and down the lane and my car had survived just fine and I owned the best pair of binoculars out of anyone. So, I kept vigil–it was the least I could do.
I sat and watched and sometimes cooed back when the angel let out long melancholy ooo's. The relief trucks were late if they were even coming and I drank in small sips from my third water jug. The chaplain came at sundown and he passed me a better drink from his flask. I wasn’t a praying woman anymore so I took a long sip and passed it back.
“Think it’ll make it out?” I asked, nodding at the angel, and the chaplain took a longer drink. I gave him a small smile and elbowed the man. “Glad you stayed, at least.”
He nodded again and began to pray, never taking his eyes off the wires up above.
The girl came when the day tucked behind the trees into full dark. She was a darting, quiet thing and I nearly missed her rustling through the grass.
“You shouldn’t be out here,” I told her tiny form at the edge of the puddles. She drew her knees up under a big sweater.
“I have to make sure he doesn’t try anything . . .” she said and I knew she was talking about Davie, who I could no longer love.
“Does your mama know you’re out here?”
She mumbles from inside her oversized hoodie, “I can’t let ‘em do it.”
I sighed. “He won’t, not with me here,” I said and waved her over. I made the little girl climb into my lap to stop her shivering and the chaplain gave us all a blanket to huddle under. The angel flapped those dirty wings and cooed.
“Can I see?”
I let the little girl use my binoculars to make out that bent halo and loose curls. She got fingerprints all over the lens and I tried to ignore it.
“I want to be a meteorologist one day,” Clara said, unprompted. “So I can warn people about stuff like this.”
I snorted. “And I want to be a poet.”
“Hush,” Markus says to me and then to the little girl, “I’m sure you’ll make a great weather lady one day, Clara.” The chaplain gave a punished smile and it made me want to make fun of him just enough to stop it. Clara frowned.
“Did you always want to be a chaplain?” she asked in return, a bit meanly, and the chaplain didn't answer.
I cleared my throat. “Do you think that’s what it was trying to do? Trying to warn us?” “Or maybe it was just unlucky,” Markus says, rubbing a hand down his long face.
I snorted. “A bad day at work.”
“Does god allow for bad luck?” asked the little girl and the question hung limp and loose like those wings.
“Why don’t we ask it?” I say, and we laugh, weakly. We call out to the angel–questions and praise and hopes for tomorrow that we’ll get it out. Or maybe we'd have to get the shotgun tomorrow. The glow of the creature is so weak. Near midnight, the girl suggests we go looking for its trumpet. If it had been there to warn us, it might have carried a horn, and if it had a horn, we might be able to summon help from its friends.
We search, feebly, avoiding the sparking wires and the upturned wood and metal. We go around in the mud on our hands and knees until we match the trapped creature. Though, we never do figure out what to do with the angel tangled in the power line. The night was long and bitter and we didn’t have anywhere else to be, the drunken chaplain and family-less woman of the birds and that little girl.
Before dawn, I am asleep, we are all asleep, dead to the world like the day will never come. And in the morning, the wires are loose on the ground and quiet. The angel is gone and a relief trucks have come. A part of me hopes the creature made it out. The birds after all peck at the wires on the ground. A part of me is relieved to see that Davie is here and he has all his supplies in the back. The trucks arrived and the power company remembered us enough to cut off the power.
I have nowhere to be, and walk the little girl home. Gloria is happy to see her and offers me a place to stay the night. I tell her my car is just fine. Still, she says, just a night.
The window in the guest room faces the electrical wires. They’ll rebuild them one day because you can’t waste the material all the way out here. Clara will go off to college one day. The chaplain will leave the drink for good, he will, and the church in the same breath. I will write a poem one day and it won’t be any good.
The poem will be about the electrical wires outside my windows. How I don’t know if the angel made it out, but the birds still perch there. They preen and sing and fluff. I count them one by one in the pre-dawn light. Some are flesh and blood. They clean the feathers of the ones that aren’t. Pearly blue jays sing, barely visible, and letting out forgotten songs from yesteryear, and there are fewer ones in the proper light. The angel wire they call it. Year after year, the birds return with their bodies or without them, to sit one by one in a line. Pearly outlines preen their living grandchildren and sing to lost mates and fluff invisible wings, and I close my eyes and listen to the ghosts.

By the way friends, since I am being reminded that summer is here and therefore so is the heat, here are some reminders for you lot too!
1) active cooling, like an AC, does require you to remove heat and vent it somewhere else.
Nothing that does not vent hot air outside is going to provide active cooling, like magically making your whole room immediately colder
Never believe an ad that tells you you can instantly cool your space without a visible heat vent to outside they are lying
2) passive cooling absolutely does not. It’s slower, has a smaller radius, and is in general less effective, but also requires less energy
Things like filling all your sinks/bath tubs with cold water (or ice water for preference) will provide passive cooling
(You may have heard the term “heat sink” if you’re a computer nerd. Basically, same thing - you put the heat in your cold thing, your cold thing heats up, everything else cools down)
Depending on your humidity, you can do a lot of passive cooling with water - there’s a reason it’s our natural default, but it does require humidity less than 80-90%
(Because you need the water to be able to evaporate and leave)
Ice is, of course, king; if you have a freezer, make as much as you can ahead of the heat wave and keep it in water-tight containers for refreezing
If you don’t have a freezer, hotels have ice machines usually right by the elevators. Clearly you have a very good friend you need to drop off a charger for in the nearest inattentive hotel. Bring big pockets. For the charger.
Also, freeze dish cloths or small towels if you can, by lightly dampening and applying ice. This kicks ass for heatstroke on the back of the neck, so do at least 2 to have one refreezing while you use the other
3) if you sweatin’, you need electrolytes. This is why we’re told they’re specifically for work outs, but the truth is they are for sweat, because you lose salt and shit when you sweat
Get that hydralyte, whatever, and if you can’t immediately get your hands on proper official electrolytes, toss a salt packet like they have at fast food restaurants in your water
Normal water ain’t gonna cut it when you’re a sweaty spaghetti you must be seasoned
If you touch your tongue to the salt and it is wicked delicious, you are probably dehydrated. Add an extra salt packet or two
4) defy purity culture and spread your legs
For real
You lose a lot of heat through your grundle, and keeping your legs closed will trap that heat in your body. Open up and feel the cooling
Also applicable for arms etc be a starfish
5) do not fucking use your oven. Don’t.
Big hot appliance makes big hot home. If you can only possibly cook via oven, do it at night when it’s coldest and you can maybe get some cooler air by opening windows
Use the bbq outside, the microwave, the stove top, the air fryer, anything but your goddamn oven, but honestly? Maybe eat cold food. You will be cooled down
Charcuterie boards comeback round 2?
6) basements are OP, and anywhere you can lie on cold cement kicks ass until all your joints get fucked on by the hard cement
Pretty good for keeping water cold though. Stick it on basement floor
7) hydrate or die-drate
Seriously, we talked about electrolytes and shit, but I mean it. Drink more than you usually would, even if that means smuggling extra water bottles to your local drinking fountains and fill em
If your pee is orange you are dehydrated as hell
You can also eat wet bitches like watermelons to rehydrate yourself, slorp up the juice and if anyone complains tell them it is vital for your health
8) shade! Bring your umbrella, bring Big Hat, fuck the sun it is the enemy you wanna have something between yourself and it while you rest
Sunscreen also good but you do not want your head in the sun for long periods because sunstroke is a bitch and will sneak up on your ass
9) furries I am sorry this one is for you you NEED a fan in the fursuit and you NEED to take it off if you get tired or wanna nap
NEVER fall asleep in your fursuit in the summer, ALWAYS be prepared to get outta it in a hurry, and bring triple water or have a planned water stop
Inflatable folks too you are wearing a dinosaur or a pikachu not fur but that is still a goddamn closed environment and will also cook you
Manual fan, electrical fan, water bottles, ice packs are required for safe summer fun and probably also a shirt inside so you can go into ice cream store
10) con goers, save yourselves $15 and go to a dollar store or local equivalent and buy a cheap folding fan before the con
Bring it to dealers or panels or just out for the day you can buy fans at the con usually but they are marked up because they know you need it
