Different 11 - college hs
Harry's quiet, routine-driven life changes one weekend when he meets Y/N through a mutual friend at her party. She comes from a superficial, materialistic world with absent parents who believe money solves everything. Despite their differences, something clicks that night, and Y/N can't stop thinking about him.

Harry was profoundly infatuated with her. He liked everything about her. He was fascinated by all her little actions, like how she fiddled with the pendant on her necklace when she was analyzing something or how she would stick the tip of her tongue out when she was carefully focused on a task.
Because of this, he wasn’t bothered when Ganesh scolded him upon arrival, nor did he care that he had to stay up later than usual to finish his work for the next day. It was all worth it because he’d gotten to spend time with her.
“Do you understand where I’m coming from?” Ganesh stressed, pacing around the dorm room. He had stayed up just to tell him off.
“Yeah.” Harry honestly had no excuse. He had gotten so distracted with Y/N that he’d forgotten about all the work he needed to catch up on. “Sorry,” he muttered, just wanting to get Ganesh off his back. Harry was only interested in texting Y/N and letting her know what a wonderful time he had spent with her. He also wanted some time alone to process everything and savor it.
“How was it?” Ganesh asked, pinching the bridge of his nose.
“Good.” Harry wasn’t one to share too much about his private life.
“That’s nice. Maybe we should go out for coffee with her sometime.” Ganesh had been raised by extremely strict parents who demanded nothing short of perfection. He didn’t understand his roommate's obsession with the girl. Ganesh could tell Harry had a promising future, and to him, Y/N was just a distraction.
“I’ll let her know,” Harry nodded, turning on his laptop and settling at the desk. He checked his phone as soon as he noticed Ganesh getting into bed.
Y/N let him know she was home and safe and that it had taken her a while to respond because she’d taken a bath. She fell asleep before he finished his work, holding her phone in the middle of sending a text, even after she had reassured Harry she wasn’t tired.
Harry couldn’t blame her. It had been a long day. He was tired too, but his thoughts about her kept him entertained. He couldn’t forget the way she looked at him, the way she touched him. It drove him crazy. In the middle of his organic chemistry homework, his pants were once again uncomfortably tight. Harry shifted around, but it was impossible to get comfortable. So, after much sighing, he decided to take a cold shower.
The water cooled him down; it wasn’t relaxing, especially since the temperature outside was almost below zero, but it was soothing. He shut off the water once he had calmed down, just in time to hear his phone ring.
“Where have you been?!” Mitch yelled loudly. He had been surprised not to see Harry in class.
“With Y/N,” Harry answered truthfully as he took some clean clothes from his drawer. He was drained and just wanted to end the call, but Mitch was his closest friend. However, Harry was exhausted, needed sleep, and had an entire day of class ahead.
“How was it?” Mitch asked with curiosity. He still couldn’t believe that his quirky, introverted friend was hanging out with one of the most desirable girls in college.
“I’ll tell you all about it tomorrow,” Harry sighed as he got into bed and turned off the lights. “I’m exhausted.”
“Deal.” Harry hung up and cuddled into his pillows and blankets.
People were chatting loudly, and the clinking of utensils against plates made the atmosphere even more chaotic. Harry was the first to sit at their usual spot and start eating. He was having carbonara pasta with some bread that wasn’t as bad as he’d expected. He just hoped his stomach wouldn’t disagree later.
“I just had the worst class ever,” Sarah sighed as she sat down at the table. “What are you reading?” She noticed Harry reading some printed copies.
“An article about a new medicine the FDA is trying out. It’s for my research class.”
“For next week? You’re really getting ahead.”
“It was due yesterday. I have to send my thoughts to the professor via email.” He had written to everyone, saying he had a family emergency, and because Harry was such a good student, all his professors had given him an extra day.
“You didn’t go to class? Where were you?” She asked as she stuffed her face with her favorite salad.
“With Y/N. We went out.”
“Where?”
“North Shore. To a drive-in.”
“That’s cute.” Sarah smiled, glancing over his shoulder as she spotted Mitch making his way to the table with a big tray filled with all types of food. “Did you tell her how you feel about her?” she asked just as Mitch sat down. “She’s not going to wait around.”
“It’s official,” he said casually as he annotated the corners of the article. Just as they were talking about her, he received a text from Y/N.
I’ve got a test to study for. Want to meet me at the library after lunch? I’ll see you in a few hours.
“Who are you texting, and why are you so smiley?” Vanessa had been Y/N’s closest friend since freshman year. They had met during pre-season. They weren’t as close as some other friends, but Y/N felt she could genuinely trust her, unlike the other girls she had met.
“Harry,” she replied, trying not to blush in the middle of class.
“When am I going to get the chance to meet him?” Vanessa had heard from others that her friend had started seeing someone on campus. “I hate this class,” she mumbled, typing something quickly on her laptop from the professor’s lecture.
“Are you going to the party?” Y/N whispered back as she tried to keep up with her notes.
“Of course. Is he going?”
“I think so. I’ll introduce you then.” Vanessa nodded as they quieted down and turned their attention back to class.
Y/N waved goodbye to Vanessa and the other girls as class was dismissed. She was excited to meet Harry and spend time with him, even if they didn’t speak much. She just wanted to be close to him. So, she headed toward the library, stopping at the coffee shop to pick up two lattes and a snack.
Y/N had some tedious neurology homework to do and needed to prepare for an upcoming test.
“What do you want?” she asked after settling at one of the tables closest to the door. Her laptop and planner, with its highly organized schedule, were out. She had started reading her neurology assignment when Brian rudely interrupted her. Y/N stared at the screen in front of her, not bothering to look at him after that night.
“I came to do homework, just like you.” He pulled a chair out and sat down. “What’s with the attitude?” Brian played college football and was an exceptional athlete. People worshiped him, especially this season, after he came close to winning a championship for the university. With great popularity came a big ego, keeping most people at a distance. In the beginning, his boldness and confidence had drawn Y/N to him, but that was before she saw his ugly side.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” she replied, playing dumb and trying not to feel intimidated by him. “I’m just doing work.” His hand came down hard on her laptop, shutting it closed.
“We need to talk. Hear me out,” he hissed, his patience wearing thin.
Brian Hill was a man who always got what he wanted, and he was willing to go to great lengths. And he wanted Y/N back.

warnings: a mention of death, loneliness, depression. soundtrack: last christmas, santa baby, let it snow! let it snow! let it snow!
this is part 1.
The day before Christmas 10:15 PM
"Oh, thank you so much, Y/n," your boss said warmly. A few strands fell onto her narrow shoulders, caressing the fabric of her burgundy sweater. She was no more than sixty but with her class she would still beat most of the modern supermodels.
You've been working at Josephine's shop since November with the main goal of earning extra money for your college. You needed it to pay for your college tuition. Before, your financial situation was making you suffer. You no longer had any hope. You were even close to dropping out of college. But then Josephine appeared, looking for an employee for her Christmas store. After a very long period of poverty you could finally afford a nutritious meal during the day.
Your previous boss didn't treat you right. He was behind in paying you money, he didn't respect the fact that you had studies outside of work, and there were times when he was verbally violent towards you.
Josephine was always understanding towards you and took an extremely sensible approach to mental health. She assured you many times that if you felt unwell, she would immediately offer you a break from work for a few days. You tried not to take advantage of her kindness, so at ten o'clock in the morning you diligently fulfilled your duties in the Christmas store.
Today was quite… different. It was Friday evening and instead of enjoying your free time in your small apartment, Josephine asked you to take over the duties until midnight.
"I have so much mess to clean up at home, and tomorrow is the day. If you said no, I would probably have let all my grandchildren down. Last year I promised them I will bake cupcakes for the next Christmas. They were so excited and happy about it…"
You giggled at her adorable confession.
"No problem, I swear," you assured her, but the woman didn't seem fully convinced. "Josephine, I don't mind staying here for a bit longer. It helps me to relieve stress a lot."
Josephine pursed her lips. Then she straightened her slightly hunched back and whispered with a soft smile on her face:
"Your soul is so pure. Your parents must be so proud of you."
At the sound of these words, spoken with surprising lightness, you immediately stiffened.
Parents, a thought crossed your mind.
Right. She couldn't know.
You brushed strands of long hair from your cheek, smiling awkwardly. Josephine started looking chaotically for her purse. Once she found it, she hugged you and squeezed your hands. When you felt her warmth in your hands, you froze. No one has ever given you as much love as Josephine did in that moment.
"Thank you so much, Y/n, but I really have to go. I'll make it up to you!" She turned and started towards the exit. When the door opened, frosty night air rushed in. An old guy walked in, passing your boss, but you didn't pay attention to him. Instead, you looked in Josephine's green eyes for the last time. She lowered her voice a bit, continuing. "Merry Christmas, Y/n."
Oh, no one in this world knew how much you hated those words. You swallowed loudly, pushing away the feeling of sadness with all your strength. The sight of the smile on the woman's face made you feel a knot in your stomach.
"Merry Christmas, Josephine," you replied, trying to reciprocate this warm gesture. After a moment, you realized that you had said it to yourself. Josephine was already gone. Now in the room, there was only you and an older customer, probably looking around for gifts for his loved ones.
11:55 PM
"Uh, is anybody there?"
You caught yourself falling asleep, but the stranger's nervous and deep voice woke you up.
You looked up from the till and saw an older man standing in front of you. His white beanie and fluffy Christmas sweater definitely caught your attention. You rubbed your eyes and was about to laugh when you realized how thin he was dressed. Okay, maybe he wasn't that old.
It seemed like he had arrived by car, because no one would wear just a sweater in a snowstorm like that. Before you could respond, the man overtook you.
"Okay, okay. I know you're about to close, but listen to me. This case is extremely serious. I drove all over town and, damn it! All Christmas shops are already closed! Can you help me choose the gifts? If you don't help me, I will be.."
You raised an eyebrow, trying your best not to smile. He got stuck in his little speech, but you had no idea why. Instead of continuing, he lost himself in your gaze, completely ignoring the ticking of the clock behind you. His mouth hung open slightly and his eyes which were already almost black seemed to darken as he focused on you. His body went rigid as he searched your eyes. Your heart was pounding in your chest. He was beautiful. You had never thought of a guy as beautiful, and it was strange. It was strange how he seemed to be looking right into your soul. But you didn't mind. No, you didn't care at all.
Or.. maybe a little bit.
In fact, you were the one who jumped back like someone had burned you when you realized it was almost time to close the shop.
"You must leave this store. Now."
"Huh?" he frowned, distracted. It took a while for it to dawn on him. "No! You can't do this to me."
You took the key out of the locker and were in the process of closing the cash register. Shit. Nobody taught you how to do that. That was always Josephine's responsibility and she was the one who always closed the shop. The man looked at you strangely. You decided to pretend you knew what you were doing.
"Do you even work here?" he mocked.
You felt his eyes on you and you clenched your jaw. You glanced up to tell him to piss off, but then your eyes met and the feeling of anger melted away. His eyes were widened slightly as you looked at him curiously. He felt the nerves radiating off of you. You shot him a tight lipped smile and you felt himself smile back. Fuck.
"Shit," you cussed under your breath. "I have to close the shop now."
You were still struggling to close the cash register.
"I'll help you close it," he muttered, still staring at you but you were too tired to even notice. "I've dealt with this before, too."
"And why should I believe you? Maybe you are some kind of thief? "
11:58. Fuck. The time was passing.
"I am not a thief."
"And why should I believe you?" you repeated the question once again.
"Just google my name," he sighed a little tiredly. You blinked your eyes twice, not knowing what he meant. "Let me buy something for my parents and I'll do whatever you want."
When you heard parents, you forgot what he had just told you. You were definitely traumatized or triggered by the word "parents", which was usually noticeable by the sudden change in your behavior.
Your soft breaths echoed through the whole Christmas shop. You lowered your head, completely embarrassing yourself in front of the potential client. It was the second time today. At least you didn't have to explain yourself to Josephine because you were able to mask it before.
"Please, don't hurt him." Y/n cried. "Please, I can't lose him too."
[…]
"Don't take loans on the black market, or you'll end up just like them."
[…]
"I'm completely alone."
[…]
"Shit, are you okay?"
You looked up, grimace on your face as the tall body of a man came into view. He looked concerned as he crouched down before you. His dark eyes searched for any indication you were in pain and when he saw you weren't he held out his hand for you to take.
"I'm okay," you nodded. "What am I doing on the floor?"
"I saw you fall," he said, as he lifted you up. You brushed the dust and dirt from your jeans. "Does it hurt?"
"No," you shook her head, still stunned. "Not much anyways."
"You hit the ground pretty hard," he frowned. "Maybe you should get yourself checked out."
You let out a forced laugh and he raised a brow. "Honestly, I'm good."
He nodded his head, eyes narrowed slightly before sighing. "Let me take care of you. Need a ride?"
God, just a few seconds ago he was using his all strength to buy something for his parents. Unless..
"Show me your pockets."
"What?" he frowned. He tried to find some clue in your eyes. "You think I stole something?"
God, he was atleast a foot taller than you were and you had to crane your neck to look at him.
"Well, seems like I have no choice," he shrugged.
The two of you fell silent, it wasn't awkward but neither knew what to say. He emptied all his pockets, the only things he had were his phone and his bank card.
You wanted to sink into the ground.
This stranger just offered to help you and you thought he was a thief. You tilted your head back, thinking about your next move.
You sighed, knowing exactly what you should do.
"Take it."
You handed him a matching sweaters that you assumed should be for his parents. He sighed in relief.
He was about to take out his card to pay, but you placed your hand on his, trying to making him understand that he doesn't have to pay.
"Just close the till, please." You smiled, feeling a bit better now. "And make your loved ones happy."
"No," he refused quickly "I have to pay for it. There is nothing for free."
It took a while to convince him not to pay. He finally sighed and accepted the two wrapped gifts from you. After he closed the till, he offered you a ride once again.
"Why don't you introduce yourself first?"
You were just leaving the store. It was cold. That was perhaps the understatement of the century. You couldn't remember the last time you had been so cold: the spiteful wind sliced through you like a sharpened blade, leaving a chill that shook you to your very core, and you tightened the thick scarf around you neck, pulling it up over your mouth. You locked the door and both went away, looking for his car, which wasn't parked that far away.
"It's strange that you don't know me."
"Woah, so you're kind of celebrity?" you laughed loudly. "You've got a big ego, man."
You finally reached his car. You didn't even notice the color because it was too dark and the car itself was covered in snow. But it didn't matter.
"Oh, that's very kind of you. Thank you." You said surprised as he opened the car door for you. He gave you a small smile. You took the front passenger seat. When you heard the sound of the trunk being closed, you realized that he must have been putting the gifts in there. You saw him through the snow-covered window. His hair was messy, and his sweater was slightly damp from the snow. His pink cheeks totally stole your heart. He looked like a little child after playing in the snow for several hours
"I'm Y/n," you spoke up as he appeared next to you. He clicked the heat button, smiling to himself. "Normal people usually say their name after my introduction."
"Who said I was normal?" you rolled your eyes before bursting out laughing again.
"You've got a beautiful name," he said, starting the car. "You can just call me Colby."
His eyes found yours and he smiled brightly. Your tiredness melted away instantly and you grinned back at him.
"Colby," you whispered to yourself.
"Hm?" he asked, keeping his eyes on the road. After a moment you could feel the relaxing warmth.
"Uhm," you cleared your throat. "You've got a beautiful name, too."
The corners of your mouth turned upwards. Eventually you stopped having everything under control. It was inexplicable. Every word this boy said aroused some emotion in you. It was strange because you two had just met.
He wanted to know more about you, every single thing. What you like, what you love. A twisted smile formed on his face. As he continued to steal glances at a female, who remained clueless about his mind.
You glanced out the car window, trying to see anything but darkness. Thanks to the car lights, you could have noticed that the streets were empty, not a person in sight that late, not even the stray dog walker or person who decided to go for a late night walk or run. Cars passed by from time to time, but there weren't many of them.
"Not a single soul." Colby sighed, a dreamy smile on his face as he looked down on the road. You nodded, stifling a yawn.
"I bet most of them are washing windows now," you whined, making him chuckle. "Can you take me to the nearest gas station? It's not far from home."
You noticed a slight disappointment on his face, which he quickly masked.
"Yeah, sure."
For a moment there was silence, and you took the opportunity to organize your thoughts. You wondered if you should start a conversation about what happened at the store. You were sure Colby had been thinking about it the whole time, but he didn't want to be too insightful. Even if he asked about your past, you wouldn't know what to answer him. That your parents owed a debt to evil people and died for not paying it off?
You squeezed your eyes shut at the thought. You stared at the moon, trying to calm your thoughts. Then you took a moment to appreciate that wonderful, breathtaking boy next to you. You looked at him in some kind of admiration. He was so beautiful that you were about to cry. You were so close to burying your hand in his messy hair, but it took all of your strength to hold back. A smirk formed on his face as he noticed you staring at his facial features. Instead of laughing at you, he simply changed the topic.
"How do you spend Christmas?"
"Hm?" you muttered, your voice still laced with sleep.
Colby raised his eyebrows at you. "You got a Christmas tree?"
You looked up at him and were torn between telling him the truth or lying.
"I spend Christmas alone. I don't have, I don't have anyone around me with whom I could share this evening. Also, Christmas are overrated. "
"I can help," he said, the words dropping out before he could think about them. Ordinarily, he calculated his sentences, sometimes spending hours or even days thinking about how he would word something, whether it was an email to a friend or a hypothetical debate. But there was no time for that now, the dilemma thrust right into his face with no escape route.
"What?" You swallowed.
"I can help you," he said. "You shouldn't be alone in this time. If you let me, I'd love to invite you to dinner with my p—. " he stopped mid-sentence. You felt like crying. No one in your life has ever shown you as much love as this man. Okay, maybe except Josephine.
"You don't mean that," you said quietly.
"I do," he said, a little more confidence in his voice now. "Let me help. I'll do anything. You shouldn't be alone. You can't be alone. Can I help?"
A faint smile grew over your lips and you nodded, colour rising to your cheeks as your smile grew. "Thank you. But your family-"
"Oh, they will be delighted to meet you."
He seemed nice enough, you thought, and there were surely worse ways to spend the next couple of hours than accepting his helping hand: you could take your mind off the solitude and maybe even make a friend.
But nothing could help you forget your past.
To Be Continued.

Fun fluffy animes that I loved
This is basically a list of animes that helps get over or deal with the trauma inflicted by various animes. At the moment, I guess fellow JJK fans might need this, and prolly AOT fans on November 5. Have fun watching
Haikyuu
Short Synopsis: Determined to be like the volleyball championship's star player nicknamed "the small giant", Shoyo joins his school's volleyball club.
Episodes: 85 + 5 OVA
The worst thing that can possibly happen is either the 3rd year students graduating or you being unable to support a specific team (nah cuz bro how do you pick and root for one? I end up being happy for the team that won and depressed for the team that lost)
Two movies are coming up soon
Highschool Babysitters
Synopsis: After the sudden death of their parents on a plane crash, two young brothers named Ryūichi Kashima (a freshman in high school) and his younger brother Kotarō (a preschooler) are left orphaned and having no place to call home. The chairwoman of the prestigious Morinomiya Academy offers to take the boys into her care, giving them a new house and free tuition, on the condition that Ryuichi helps out with the school's daycare center while also attending normal classes during school hours.
Episodes: 12 + 1 OVA
Note: Plane crash seems sad but trust me, its only mentioned in the first episode, and the rest 11 is just fluffy goodness. Nothing can prepare you for the cuteness.
Cells At Work
Synopsis: One newcomer red blood cell just wants to do her job. Between bacteria incursions and meeting a certain white blood cell, she's got a lot to learn.
Episodes: 31 + 7
A good mix of science and entertainment. The episodes dont have to be watched in any specific order.
Mr. Osomatsu
Synopsis: The everyday lives of identical sextuplets who cause mischief.
Episodes: 75 + special eps + movies
Has a good amount of 18+ jokes, but its not too overwhelming. It doesnt necessarily follow a plot, and each episode is usually two different stories combined. So, skipping episodes should be fine. Also, it features very popular voice actors for the sextuplets (Geto's VA, Gojo's VA, Levi's VA, Koro sensei's VA, Erwin's VA and Haku/ Sugawara's VA), Iyami (Obanai Iguro's VA), Totoko (Shoko's VA)
The Vampire Dies in No Time
Synopsis: The story follows the famed vampire hunter, Ronaldo, who receives a job to destroy the supposedly invincible vampire lord Draluc and rescue a human boy he allegedly kidnapped.
Episodes: 24
Note: Its a hit or miss, the running gag is used constantly and gets tiring at times, but the overall anime is a good watch. I personally loved John the Armadillo
Buddy Daddies
Synopsis: Assassins Kazuki Kurusu and Rei Suwa meet Miri, a girl looking for her father on Christmas Day. Kazuki, Rei, and Miri unexpectedly end up living together.
Episodes: 12
May get dark at times, so I wont guarantee that itll be a smooth sail, but we get a wholesome conclusion so you can count on that! Otherwise VERY fluffy
Blue Lock
Synopsis: High school soccer players from across Japan gather for a controversial project designed to create the best and most egoistic striker in the world.
Episodes: 24
Isnt exactly true football, but yeah. The anime is pretty fine. It doesnt exactly go under the fluffy anime like i mentioned in the title, but you can check it out if you want.
Free!!
Synopsis: The story is centered on high school student Haruka Nanase, a gifted swimmer. After encountering his childhood rival, Rin Matsuoka from Samezuka Academy, he and his friends revitalize Iwatobi High School's swim team.
Episodes: 37 + specials and movies
This anime to me, personally is what haikyuu is. A great comfort anime which knows how to make the viewer connect with the characters. I dislike it when the whole anime gets reduced to just fanservice, like guys lets look beyond that and actually enjoy the plot.
Life Lessons With Uramichi Oniisan
Synopsis: From smoking and exercising to nihilistic outbursts, everyone's big brother Uramichi always brings up the not-so-moral side to his life lessons
Episodes: 13
This one is very real and relatable in many levels. Theres a lot of screenshots and panels available online, so you can check a few out before watching!
Obey Me
Synopsis: Brothers Lucifer, Mammon, Leviathan, Satan, Asmodeus, Beelzebub, and Belphegor are among the most powerful demons in the Devildom, serving as officers on the student council at the Royal Academy of Diavolo (RAD). However, being avatars of the seven deadly sins, their behaviors often tend toward the extreme. Their everyday antics belie their high status and fearsome reputations among others of their kind. When viewed behind the scenes, the members of this family are more lovable—and laughable—than they first seem!
Episodes: 24 + 1
It's based on a popular otome game, and can be watched as it is even if you havent played the game. The basic idea is that theyre based on the 7 sins, so their personalities are really amusing. As for the plot, its pretty wholesome.
Play It Cool Guys
Synopsis: Despite their distinctive personalities, Souma Shiki, Hayate Ichikura, Shun Futami, and Takayuki Mima all have one thing in common: though naturally clumsy, the four disguise their embarrassment from tiny slip-ups by maintaining a composed demeanor. However, it is actually the guys' airheaded natures that makes the girls' hearts throb. No matter what happens in their daily lives, the boys do their best not to lose their cool!
Episodes: 24
Each episode is barely 10-13 minutes, so it just doesnt feel enough lol. Most of their slip ups are relatable and could get a chuckle from the viewer. The art style is a little different but its good. Definitely worth watching, once or even multiple times.
Tanaka Kun is Always Listless
Synopsis: For high school student Tanaka, the act of being listless is a way of life. Known for his inattentiveness and ability to fall asleep anywhere, Tanaka prays that each day will be as uneventful as the last, seeking to preserve his lazy lifestyle however he can by avoiding situations that require him to exert himself. Along with his dependable friend Oota who helps him with tasks he is unable to accomplish, the lethargic teenager constantly deals with events that prevent him from experiencing the quiet and peaceful days he longs for.
Episodes: 13 + specials
Not gonna lie, Ive wanted to act like Tanaka. The characters are lovable and the anime is worth giving a try. An underrated gem. I personally loved the school festival episode.
@satoruukisser hope this helps!

I didn't do my end of the year questions last year and it messed up the year for me so HERE YA GO:
1. What did you do in 2024 that you’d never done before?
Man, I don't know really? I feel like I used to have so many each year and now I'm struggling to think of any. I went to LA for the first time?
2. Did you keep your New Year’s resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I don't know what my resolution was but I'm pretty sure I didn't do it.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
No.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
No, but basically yes. That's me being a touch dramatic but like, it really does feel like a certain someone died.
5. What countries did you visit?
None.
6. What would you like to have in 2025 that you lacked in 2024?
Clear skin.
7. What dates from 2024 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
None, shit memory, nothing crazy happened this year.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Surviving. It was a bit of a rough one.
9. What was your biggest failure?
I would have liked to achieve more and be more confident in myself by now. It's mostly many small failures in that way. Like, I'm still mad at myself for not presenting my finals well. I did fine in class overall but it was a bit of a bummer at the end there.
Also like, my financials in general are very not great.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Not really, which is good. I had the flu which was scary for a hot second because I had a 104° fever that wouldn't break, and I ain't got no health insurance so I was worried I was going to be forced to go to the doctor and pay out of pocket, which lead to me having a panic attack while already fevering. But I was fine in the end.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
I barely bought anything this year that wasn't rent, credit card payments, or tuition. Or Celsius.
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
God, I don't know. Let me know. I would like to know.
13. Whose behavior made you appalled?
Not naming names....... but rest assured there was appalling behavior.
14. Where did most of your money go?
See #11, lol.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
School. But I won't make that mistake again. I think school is bad for me mental healths. But we stay silly.
16. What song will always remind you of 2024?
The entire Arcane soundtrack.
17. Compared to this time last year, are you: (a) happier or sadder? (b) thinner or fatter? (c) richer or poorer?
SADDER FATTER POORER
the holy trifecta 😎👍
18. What do you wish you’d done more of?
Make money.
19. What do you wish you’d done less of?
Doubt and despair.
20. How did you spend Christmas?
Went back home. My second oldest sister was with her in-laws on Christmas Day, so we shifted our Christmas to the 26th. So, on the actual day of, I was just kind of chilling with my folks, we had lasagna, watched The Holiday, and played some games.
21. Did you fall in love in 2024?
Oh yeah, always falling in love babey.
22. What was your favorite TV program?
Arcane, Blue Eye Samurai, Dungeon Meshi, What We Do in the Shadows, Law and Order: SVU were my lifeblood. Also rewatched Danny Phantom. Started a lot of good shows I'm yet to finish--literally took a TV history class and I have a huge To Watch list.
23. Do you hate anyone now that you didn’t hate this time last year?
(weary sigh) No, I'm not cut out to hate people.
24. What was the best book you read?
Honestly, most of my reading was academic this year so I didn't finish many books. But House of Leaves was pretty wild and fun. That is one of maybe 3 books I finished this year ahahahaha.
25. What was your greatest musical discovery?
I didn't "discover" Will Wood this year but I finally gave in and listened to more of his discography, discovered many bangers, which is how he ended up as my #2 on Spotify Wrapped.
26. What did you want and get?
Feedback on my art. Got to go home during summer which was nice too.
27. What did you want and not get?
Better. Wait, is that too general of an answer?
28. What was your favorite film of this year?
The Wild Robot.
29. What one thing made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Not dying?
30. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2024?
Whatever doesn't have holes in it (and some things that have less obvious holes too)
31. What kept you sane?
Friends.
32. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Well, I support that guy who shot that insurance CEO... Don't know if I'd go as far as 'fancy' though.
33. What political issue stirred you the most?
God... I don't know. I feel like the world is a ton of bricks and we're getting pelted by it all the time. And it was fucking election year, and look how that turned out...... but I will try not to fall into despair.
34. Who did you miss?
I miss my bro-in-law :(
35. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2024.
I learned something big and important but I can't remember how I articulated it. I've been having issues with self-worth, and often I fall back to old failures to make things worse, and I've learned that focusing too much on failure doesn't just prevent more failure, it prevents any movement at all including progress or success. So, I've been doing better with that.
So, I guess I've been learning to let things go more.
36. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year.
I had the perfect lyric for this but I can't remember what song it was anymore. It was like literally one random line in a song.... gr... this will bother me. If I think of it, I'll let everyone know and update it.
For now you can have this:

Have you joined any coaching institute like Aakash, Allen, etc.? If yes, then would you recommend it?
hi! okay so, basically, when i was 11th, i joined a coaching institute... not so well known like Aakash or Allen, but one of those which prepares you for both NEET and JEE... and i would not recommend it. here are some disadvantages of joining coaching classes or institutes like these, in your plus 1 and plus 2 —
not trying to shit on these institutes... just speaking from personal experience
the syllabus does not progress at the same pace in your institute and your school. and these might result in you lagging behind with your school... which again, may effect your results in school examinations just because your institute hasn't yet caught up with the school syllabus.
it takes up a lot of time. my friend in is Aakash since 11, and her batch timing is Monday 3:30 to 8, Friday 5 to 9, Saturday 9 to 1:30, Sunday 3:30 to 9... my institute timings were Thursday and Friday 6:30 to 9, Saturday 3 to 9, Sunday 9 to 4... too much, and believe me, continuously itne ghante padhne se ghanta juch samajh aata hai... it's really difficult to grasp the concepts in a monotonous lesson
the teacher student ratio isn't even. for bigger institutes like Aakash or Allen, it's almost 1 teacher for 60 students... as per what my friend said. for me, since it was a smaller centre, the batch was of 15, but still, one to one attention na milne se it's really difficult
in some places (not all) you have to maintain 75% attendance
there's separate assignments and exams you gotta prep for, the syllabus for which might from what's currently going on in your school... so you have to devote time separately to prepare simultaneously for both places
so all in all, this is why i would not recommend getting into coaching institutes for 11th and 12th... because basically ye sab ek factory hai and they are taking in 100s of students each year and honestly? they don't give a shit about you or your academics. sirf paisa lene ka baat hai and jo ek do jan bohot meritorious students hote hai, unko hi jyada attention dekar AIR rank milne ke baad in sab institute apne aap ko promote karte hai...
so yeahh, i feel it's better to take all private tuitions at home for whichever subjects you have... because it saves time and the tutors go according to what's being done at school... and utna pressure bhi nahi dalte so yeahh

This infuriated his parents, considering he basically blew 6 months of classes - but upon realizing how miserable he was, his mother promised to withdraw him from classes if he finished an associate's degree, which he agreed to ( with the promise that he'd pay them back for the tuition they had saved for him ( she's going to use it for something else for him))
𝙷𝙰𝙸𝚁 𝙲𝙾𝙻𝙾𝚁: 𝙶𝙾𝙽𝙳𝙾𝙻𝙰 ━ I figured it was near black but that felt rude compared to the deep analysis of the RBG properties of Robin's hair, and it turns out Haru's hair has a hexcode of #0F090F with RGB: 15, 9, 15 ( I feel like the "its blood orange" "just say red" meme)
𝙴𝚈𝙴 𝙲𝙾𝙻𝙾𝚁: 𝙱𝙻𝙰𝙲𝙺 ( 𝚑𝚒𝚗𝚝𝚜 𝚘𝚏 𝚗𝚊𝚟𝚢 ) ━ Okay no this is correct, Haru's eyes are pitch black with flecks of dark blue when the light hits juuuuuust right.

hii can i know your daily routine from morning to night. i also want to know how you manage writing and how you manage your tumblr. i want to know what major you study. i want to know because i am new to tumblr and managing time is hard for me. if you feel this ask uncomfy, you can ignore me.
afraid you asked the wrong person for this cuz my daily ( mostly evening & night ) routine is VERY different from each other throughout the whole week because of my tuition classes/study schedule TT but no probs, i'll try to give u my routine in the best way possible ^^

𖹭 MY DAILY ROUTINE
MORNING & AFTERNOON (≧∇≦)

6:00 — 6:30 am : wake up time boooo. although this time varies during exam season or when i pull an all nighter/ sleep late cuz i was watching a series, this is the usual time i wake up, or at least try to every single day ><
6:30 — 7:30 am : brushing teeth/skincare etc + morning workout & pilates. i usually try to do the first part is lesser time so that i have more time to workout & stretch ^^
7:30 — 8:05 am : break/creativity period. here i give myself a 35 minute break for relaxation or checking social media / practicing my italian lessons ( im vv beginner >< ) or draw or write short essays/poems or plan out my day which is the MAIN task i usually do
8:05 — 9:05 am ( 30 min gap 4 chai + breakfast break ) , 9:35 — 10:35 am, 10:35 — 11:45 am, 12:05 — 1:05 pm : with breaks, these timing are for my studying, and i follow my study routine for the day >< [ WHEN I DON'T ATTEND SCHOOL ]
1:05 — 3:15 pm : shower + lunch >< [ WHEN I DON'T ATTEND SCHOOL, i return at 3pm from skl ]
EVENING (≧∇≦)

3:15 — 5:00 pm : relaxing & writing for blr/watching shows ( or i sleep TT ) >< ONLY IF i don't have tuitions, when i do, i head out for them around 4:30 — 5:00 pm according to the timing of my classes.
(after break 4 evening snacks/chai) 5:30 — 6:30 pm, 6:30 — 8:30 pm, 9:00 — 10:00 pm, with breaks again, i follow my study schedule ><
NIGHTTIME (≧∇≦)

10:00 — 10:30 pm : have dinner
10:30 — 11:00 pm : ghost around my home / free time TT
within 11:30ishpm : finish skincare, brushing, and take my meds
after that o clock : 😴 but if i pull an all nighter or watch a series with my mum that's another story lol

𖹭 MY MAJOR/STREAM
well i'm still in school so i don't have any major, but we indian students are given to choose between 3 streams — science, commerce & humanities. as for me i am a science student ^^ i have bio, chem, phy, maths, psych, eng !!!

𖹭 TIME MANAGEMENT
again, a hard question to the wrong person cuz my schedule is not constant TT but as u can see there are breaks between my study sessions! i tend to manage my time and do stuff between those breaks, and when life gets too hectic, i take hour long breaks and write for blr! keep in mind, that you NEED TO BALANCE life & social media. find the right time for each of your important sectors like studies, work, hobbies & schedule them out equally! that also doesn't mean you have to follow them blindly, make sure to take breaks, do things that you enjoy & love life & most importantly, your precious self ^^ MWAH. hope i helped ya <333

Me while watching Home School Episode 9:
1. So, is Master Dilak a former student who was successfully "re-programmed" (similar to what they did to Hugo, Jingjai, and Run)?
2. Well, Mek and Mork, I got news for you - Dad loves neither of you. He doesn't even love your Mom. Unfortunately, he is just a sh*tty parent with an overall sh*tty personality.
3. Oh, no. If locking the Fab FourTM (Maki, White, Nai, and Tibet) in detention is part of Master Champ's ploy to seed chaos with GEN6, I fear for my babies, Pennhung and Phleng. The rest, I could care less lol.
4. Why do I feel like the Headmaster (played by Cindy) would eventually go against Master Amin? I just can't figure out yet if she will switch sides to support the students or will she be a more nefarious villain? Maybe Master Amin is not as villainous as he seems to be 🤔🤔🤔
5. Mek and Mork asking the right questions: what kind of parents would send their kids to a school with no known curriculum and a million baht-per-term tuition?
6. Pennhung, my child, please also store other food groups. You need more than croissants to last this hellhole 😅
7. Oh gods. Hugo and Jingjai. I share Jean's reaction during the "fight" 😅😅😅 At least, they are still flirty with each other even though we still have no idea whatever the f— Master Amin did to them as punishment for coupling.
8. I might be riding the Fuji hate train, but gods damn. Girl knows how to end a fight lol. Sorry, Jean.
9. Nooooo, Baby Phleng 😭😭😭 Biw, don't make me smack you. <after 10 seconds> Okay, we're good. All too well because I like Pringkhing ever since The Shipper.
10. Nooooo, Baby Pennhung 😭😭😭😭 Mek, I swear, if you hurt Pennhung I WILL SMACK YOU. <after 10 seconds> Oh gods, I AM OFFICIALLY IN LOVE WITH MEK. Solidarity, ftw. Shut up, Master Champ.
11. I'm starting to think Home School is either an unconventional juvenile centre or a freaking school for future assassins (judging by Run's abilities and his morbid past of killing their dad).
12. Sorry, but if the Fab Four had started kneeling before lunch all the way to sun down, how cold is that tea that the Head Master is sipping? Or did somebody replenish the hot tea (and pastries) all through the day? And with all that tea sipping, didn't she feel the need to pee? Just curious lol.
13. I'm dying to know what Master Dilak's deal is. Also, based on MDL, this series has 18 episodes (unless they got it wrong again like in Midnight Museum). So, the class planning their escape next episode is hardly the climax, but I do hope they start revealing the truth about Home School.
On to the next episode then 😊
