my tattoo designs for him are basically the way i draw all my ink tattoos, swirls and dots!

mostly cuz im not. a professional tattoo designer or character designer in general and also the amounts of tattoos i imagine ink would have would be complete full sleeves. i don't have time for it HAHAHA

Hey! I'm re-reading the Alternate Handler cause it's one of my absolute favourite fics, and I had a question. Bucky has memory flashbacks in the middle of conversations a few times, and it seems like the Avengers are aware that they happen and to not try to snap Bucky out of it or anything. Is that something that Steve and the rest of the Avengers ever talked about, what to do if Bucky has a flashback when he's with them? (Sorry if this is worded poorly)

Oh that's awesome! I love getting questions about my fics, I often have a lot of thoughts about them while I'm writing them, so I'm glad to share!

You're right, Bucky's flashbacks or spacing out episodes are not as hidden from the Avengers as he would like to think. I imagine the episodes are usually relatively short, but the Avengers can catch on to the way he loses focus and seems to be somewhere else. But they—and especially Steve since he can hear the way Bucky's heartbeat speeds up—can tell that Bucky gets nervous after his flashbacks and is watching them for a reaction.

So I imagine they briefly talked about it and decided it would probably be best for his comfort not to call him out on his flashbacks/zoning out unless he seems to be in distress. They can't know exactly what's happening in Bucky's mind, but considering the brain damage he's probably healing from, it would make sense for him to zone out sometimes, even if it isn't from flashbacks. So they do their best to be gentle but casual about it in hopes that Bucky will not be so scared about having them. And they keep an eye on him in case they need to step in, like was the case when Bucky flashback to the Siberia cells in a meeting.

Luckily after that Steve is able to talk to him about his episodes and help assure him he won't be in trouble for them, so I think that helps overall.

Pestisly mentioned you both have been playing Elden ring recently and I’ve already bothered her about it so I figured it’s your turn - do you have a favorite faction, boss, and equip load/playstyle?

I've been trying to figure out how to answer this. For the most part, I am a tinkerer as I go through games like these. I'll swap styles/weapons as I play around and see what I like in any given moment.

Currently I have two favored play styles:

A quality vagabond, two handing a nagakiba, meleeing my way though the game (this is my main/personal run)

A faith/str prophet, wielding a greathammer, and the beefiest spells I can get my hands on (currently giants spells)

Equipload wise, I tend to go for the heaviest that I can wear, and still med roll/use my weapons, I tend to try to hit 30 endurance by late game at a minimum and will probably push higher later.

Perhaps I am just gay(i am), but I've been obsessed with Loretta and Malenia. Those two have been my favorite fights thus far in elden ring. They just felt really clean. Provided a challenge, without pissing me off. And hey, I like strong women in armor :P

Faction wise, I like the fire giants. The care takers of the flame. the fire giant fight was a ton of fun, seeing the limits of faith casting pushed. Was super cool. Though given my growing interest in death sorceries and gravity magic, that might change next run :P

Probably first and foremost is the eventually confession that the two like each other. Honestly probably a little intimidating right now, cause I am worried how I will work up to it. But also....I can't wait to write that scene.

another plot point would be the drama surrounding Link and Revali. Considering what we have planned for Revali and how Link and Mipha are going to deal with that and the fallout from the result of it.

oh and Sidon and Dorephan learning that Mipha started dating link. Thats going to be fun to write too!

legit question as someone raised christian: why is the jesus pendant appropriative of Jewish design/iconography? the mezuzah I understand of course but I'm confused about the second one. thanks for your time!

it’s bc it’s made in the shape of a magen david/jewish star! like the fact that it’s a necklace that says jesus is whatever it’s bc it’s a symbol associated specifically with jews and jewish identity but they’ve (to borrow the terminology used by the author of the article) “grafted in” the word “jesus”.

the mezuzah is objectively worse though bc a mezuzah is actually a ritual object, and also that one has a menorah on it along with the christian fish and the menorah is a much older jewish symbol than the star.

so yeah tldr it’s just kind of scummy and weird bc the magen david has been used by jews as a symbol of our religious and cultural identity for centuries so making it say jesus is. weird.

Why do you like Rare-Pair ships?

Simply put my favorite ship is a rare ship. My OTP is Hiei/Kuwabara, and has been for over twenty years now. It was the reason I decided to dedicate my AO3 account to rare ships. Because I know what it's like to want new works for a ship that not many people wrote for.

When you ask me what my favorite to write is, is a matter of what I'm hyper-fixating on. Right now I'd say it's Luigi/Spike, when I first converted my AO3 account to writing rare pairs I would have said Count Dooku/Obi-Wan Kenobi. Why these ones? I am a giant fan of Enemies to Lovers. Any sort of conflict for characters makes me want to write them for the most part 😂

They are very similar conversations- where a Link is pointing out/asking about something that the others have experienced and they haven't. Which is really cool to compare and contrast but they all just freak out about it
