The Batkids are so affectionate with Bruce. Bruce usually avoids touch and tactile interaction because he's been told numerous times he's more ice than skin, and his babies deserve more than cold. But they truly don't care and will pout if they can't snuggle the batdad

Bruce texts them " be safe. I love you" and " dress warm. I love you" and " eat something sustainable today. I love you" he feels like he didn't say it enough when they were kids, so now he says it so often that if he doesn't or forgets, they assume something is wrong

But i feel like he says ' I love you' through his actions as well? It honestly depends on what you find more meaningful. For some Families it's strange to proclaim affection verbally, and the batfam falls in both categories really

Bruce buys them snacks when they're on patrol. It's a Thing. Dick is very delighted about it because his dad remembers his burger order after all these years. Tim cries when Bruce does the same for him

I love love love puppy Dick who tackles Bruce in hugs and accidentally injures him!! Bruce never actually minds, but it's so cute to watch his unit of a son get concerned

Damian and Jason are impossibly clingy to Bruce, but when he's cooking, it's a sight. Just Bruce holding that 6'5 man at his hip while Damian tries to see what he's doing.

Bruce brings up his kids every chance he can; Interviews, talk shows, podcasts, discussions, - he's always there bragging about this or that. And they accompany him almost always.

Bruce and Cass have tea time together, plus a bunch of binge watching they don't share with anyone else. I love to think they nuzzle their noses together like bunnies too

despite how soft aaron's lips were, their gentleness never failed to arouse you. it was the most serene way possible to slowly pull you from sleep, lightly bringing you back to the awareness of the world but not all at once.

pepper-light kisses started at your temple, before trailing down to your cheek, then to your jawline, and moving even lower to find home at your neck. from there, even more kisses were scattered along the surface of your skin before the route restarted at your cheek, but not before stopping momentarily at your lips.

there was a time in your life where an alarm clock signaled the start of your day.

this was better.

your hand moved upwards, your fingers weaving into aaron's dark hair, scratching your nails against his scalp softly to indicate you were awake.

"good morning." aaron's voice was clad with sleep, a bit hoarse from the disuse.

"hmph." you hummed in response, a small smile taking form on your face as you stretched. as you opened your eyes to find your favorite person, his hair was tousled, the comforter pulled up past his shoulders- he looked adorably comfortable. his own eyes were lined with an eagerness, full of content now that you were awake. with the relaxed expression adorned on his face, it appeared almost as if a younger aaron was staring right back at you.

you would never forget; when you first had first joined the bau, aaron would enter the roundtable room, exit his office, with the heaviest eye bags you've ever seen. it wasn't an every-once-in-a-while thing either, it was a daily occurrence.

it appeared as if he never slept, which you almost believed to be true at one point. almost nightly, he would remain in his office as everyone else left, scribbling away at paperwork, rifling through case file after case file, a fresh cup of coffee on the side.

and when you arrived back in the morning, the same visual was there. pen working furiously, a stack of never ending files, another steaming mug of caffeine nearby. his shoulders were tense as he held his posture while sitting, but it was seemingly forced, as if he disguising or refraining from letting them slouch with his exhaustion.

and now, his previous dark circles under his eyes were almost nonexistent. they almost never appeared, except for the instance a case took a heavy toll, and you had a lot to do with the result. in addition, the obvious change was what indicated to the team he was seeing someone, and soon afterwards that someone was revealed to be you.

he was well rested, relaxed, happy.

it also gave you a feeling you couldn't quite put into words- knowing you contributed in giving him a sense of peace; peace he never thought he was capable of experiencing again. night, for him, no longer served the purpose of overworking, or overthinking, but rather a time where rigid shoulders didn't have authority.

"always waking me up, aren't you hotchner?"

a sweet laugh escaped him, his eyes simply glowing as he gazed at you lovingly. unable to help himself, he lazily pressed his lips to yours once more, brushing his nose to yours and staying close. "i missed you."

you rolled over slightly, draping an arm around him, and then doing the same with one of your legs, hooking him strictly to you. "haven't gone anywhere, my love."

and never planning on it.

his face easily found the crook of your neck, where he once again began littering it with kisses. his breath was warm against your skin as he spoke, scooting himself even closer to you if it were possible. "doesn't matter."

the two of you remained like that, unwilling to part, not ready to begin the day just yet. moments like these were your favorite, whether in the morning or at night as you both fell into the depths of sleep, where the two of you could just be together. or rather, just be. nothing else required your attention, no other responsibilities, not needing anything else in the world but each other.

as aaron had the most comfortable, soft yet solid torso, you nearly began dozing off again. but he spoke up, his mumbled voice vibrating against your neck.

"i think i'll always miss you. no matter how close you happen to be."

Ashi isn’t sure how Ace acquired it (although it most likely came from a visit with Sam) but the grin on his face melts away her concern and leaves a giddy mischief in its place.

“Doesn’t it look just like that ring the Headmage wants to use to send that bride back to her realm?” Ace laughs, twirling it around the tip of his finger, “Can you imagine what would happen if someone were to switch out the rings?”

“Ace, c’mon!” Ashi shakes her head, giggling along with him.

His grin turns wicked, and before Ashi knows it he’s snatched the real ring right out of her pocket. She shrieks for him to give it back, hurling vicious insults such as “meanie” and “stupid,” but Ace doesn’t relent.

“Where is the real ring? I bet you’ll never guess.” he smirks, holding out his closed hands.

His eyebrows are doing that irritating thing he does when he’s feeling a bit too smug.

“You’re a cheater! I bet it’s in your pocket.” Ashi lunges for him, digging her hand into his pocket as Ace jerks away, trying to get her off.

Sure enough, she pulls out the ring with a triumphant “ah ha!” Ace rolls his eyes and makes a big show of huffing about it, but his eyes linger on her radiant smile as she sticks her tongue out at him.

“It’s not like you play fair either, you goober!” he cackles, jerking his arm out to snatch the ring from her hands.

As their hands collide, both rings go soaring through the air and clatter to the floor. Ashi and Ace look over in the direction they landed, only to come to the sinking revelation that neither of them knew which one was which.

“Can you tell which one’s the fake?” Ashi asks, tilting her head.

Ace removes himself from her to confidently saunter over to the rings, scooping them off the ground and flashing them with a smirk.

“Don’t worry goober, I got it. You almost messed things up there, huh? This is totally the fake one.” Ace mocks, flicking Ashi’s nose when he’s made his way back to her and places the real ring in her hand.

“Oh quiet you!” she pinches his cheek, face heating up at the teasing.

Ace rubs his pink cheek and glares, but the glare holds no malice.

Ashi watches in amusement as Idia is thrown to the side, totally blown off by Eliza. Ashi kneels before the bride, arms outstretched as if to accept her. Eliza squeals, rushing towards her “groom” with stars in her eyes. Ashi takes her hand, gently, and gives Eliza the most affectionate look she can.

“It’s an honor to be wed to you, my lady.” Ashi grins, a dazzling smile that makes Eliza swoon in her arms.

The ring slides onto her finger, and...

Nothing happens.

Ashi looks confused but quickly schools her face. Eliza doesn't notice the way her smile falls, and instead swoops Ashi up into her arms and calls for her attendants.

“Please, escort Mr. Tamadai to the dressing rooms! I await our wedding, my darling!” Eliza giggles behind her hand, waving Ashi goodbye.

Footsteps pound on the stone flooring outside the room and Ashi looks at the door with hope. The door flies open with a loud bang, causing all the ghosts to jump out of their nonexistent skin.

Heh.

“Stop the wedding!” Ace yells, pointing an accusatory finger at Eliza, “You! Bride lady! We gotta talk!”

Eliza scoffs, all warmth in her deposition gone as Ace storms up to her with fire in his eyes. Ashi tries to go to him, but the ghosts are keeping such a harsh grip on her arms that it’s starting to hurt.

“Ace!” she yells, and he whips his head around at the sound of her voice.

He turns back to the bride with a clenched jaw and a furrowed brow.

“Listen here, all of you! You can’t just force someone to marry you! Relationships don’t work like that! Ashi doesn’t want to marry you at all! Aren’t the rest of you ashamed? You’re just enabling your princess into feeling even lonelier as the years go on because you’re not letting her let go! You all sound like useless retainers to me!” Ace yells, “Let go of Ashi right now!  I’m gonna get this ring on your finger and send you off once and for all!”

“You don’t know what you’re talking about! Mr. Tamadai was quite sweet in his courting! He even answered all my questions correctly! He's perfect!” Eliza insists, voice breaking as she speaks.

“Uh, news flash princess!” Ace snaps, “You shouldn’t be picking your prince based on a few questions. How about picking someone you can laugh and cry with? Someone you can share everything with?”

He looks over at Ashi and pauses.

“Someone that makes you feel like you can be something. Even if you know you’re a stupid troublemaker.” he says, voice softer for just a moment before he turns back to the princess, “Have your retainers taught you nothing? It’s embarrassing that I have to spell this out for you, seriously!”

Ashi squirms in the ghost's hold, her cheery smile fading into a frustrated grimace. The rare sight makes Ace’s breath hitch, and his anger only gets more intense.

“Don’t listen to him, princess!” Puffy yells, taking his place next to Eliza, “How dare you say such things! I would fight the world to make sure the princess is happy, you—!”

Ashi gnaws at her lower lip before slipping one of Ace’s stupid cards out of her pocket. Sliding it between her two fingers just like he taught her, she flicks it at Eliza.

The card reaches its mark.

The ghosts restraining her rush to their princess as she yelps out in pain and Ashi beams. It's funny how Ace’s tricks were useful in situations like this, even though all he ever used them for was to target Riddle.

“Princess!” she yells, running towards her, “Wait!”

Eliza shakes off her hovering attendants to gaze upon her groom, a sour pout on her face.

“Listening, I’m not actually a guy. I was dressing the part because my and my homies were trying to save Idia over there.” she points to the boy in question, watching as he shrivels up again at the attention, “But I think you should totally marry Puffy! He seems to really care about ya! And just like Acey said, you’re supposed to find someone you can laugh and cry with right? He was about to fight this whole room for you!”

Eliza stops as if considering what Ashi just said. Ace’s hand circles her wrist, as if ready to run and find cover if the ghosts actually do attack. His subtle concern warms her heart.

“Oh Puffy...I think I’ve finally figured it out.” Eliza turns to her ghostly companion and smiles, eyes full of love, “You’re my prince! My true love!”

“What?!” Ace squawks, but Ashi presses a finger to his lips to shush him.

“Princess...all I’ve ever wanted was to see you smile.” Puffy murmurs, cheeks turning blue, “It’s my dream...my lingering attachment...I just want you to be happy.”

“Oh, Puffy!” Eliza swoons, kissing him without a second thought.

“What just happened?” Ace blinks, absolutely baffled by the display in front of him.

“I dunno, but we should get everyone else out!” Ashi beams as the sound of groans and complaints reach their ears, “It sounds like the curse has been broken!”

As Ashi runs off to help a whining Floyd, Ace puffs up his cheeks and stares.

Rosé hummed, waving the thermometer over Denali’s forehead. “Mmhm, fine with a hundred degree fever.”

Denali huffed, accepting that she was caught and she couldn’t hide her sickness any longer, the same sickness Rosé warned her she would catch if she didn’t take better care of herself over the past few days. With the weather cooling down and flu season in full swing, Rosé warned her over and over again recently that her habits would catch up to her.

Tears welled in Denali’s eyes, either from the shame or the way her body ached, she didn’t know. “I’m sorry, Rosie.”

“Don’t say sorry to me, love, say sorry to yourself because if you hadn’t been staying out so late and not sleeping enough and not taking care of yourself, you’d be okay.”

“I know, I just-“

Denali’s lip wobbled, prompting Rosé to sit beside her, gather her up in her arms and hold her close. “I know it’s hard, baby, but I worry about you so much.”

“I-I’m so-“

Rosé tutted sympathetically. “No, no, baby, I don’t want you to cry. I’m not mad at you, I just want you to take care of yourself or at the very least let me help. You know I’d do absolutely anything for you, especially if you’re struggling.”

“I-I know,” she hiccuped, trying to breathe properly against Rosé’s chest.

“Okay, so you’ll let me take care of you then?” She asked softly, stroking Denali’s damp hair back.

“Yes, momma,” she sniffed, letting herself fall into a space where she could easily be taken care of.

“Good girl. Just listen to momma, okay? I want you to lay down and rest. I’m gonna be right here the whole time but I want you to rest. Can you do that?”

My finger’s generally been better lately, I’ve kinda figured out what I can and can’t do (and what makes it hurt a lot— driving kinda sucks -_-) so it’s been mostly ok. In a lot of ways I sort of wish I’d broken something else because a broken finger gets very little in the way of accommodation or sympathy since there’s nothing much visible that marks it as broken :/ But yeah, it’s better than it was at least.

I wish school systems would actually give a fuck and do a better job preparing students for uni (dont we all). Everyone has a different situation but uni will always be there. I mean they want your money loans, right?? Take all the time you need while you're in uni. This is just my experience, but I feel like this is really only one time where you'll have a chance to work on your adult life before it becomes an expectation.

I just miss being a student for leeway at work. 0h and bc I like learning.

Omg I feel you on a personal level. Taking a 18 hour semester and a +50hr job for WHAT!!! In the end, I changed my major when I had 3 more classes until I graduated, so i graduated in 6 years 🙃.

mmmm i think mostly moments where alex is being a teasing bastard, like the Croissant Scene TM in my venice fic (iykyk), and basically the entirety of 'give me all your love so i can fill you up with hate' - because when i write that kind of teasing dynamic between them (and especially when it's alex being a menace to society) i really want readers to feel as frustrated as poor miles, having to endure alex's insufferable slut behavior <3

there's my infamous vampire!fic, which i still hope i can actually turn into something concrete one day - i loved the premise, loved the aesthetic i pictured for it, loved a particular oc i created, loved the dynamic alex and miles had... and i had like 75 pages of it ready in my drive, but it was just not passing the vibe check, yknow? i wrote it during summer 2021 and almost finished it, but idk, for some reason i find my writing has such a better quality during the colder seasons skgjshgh it was just very ??? meh. even if i did decide to salvage it, i'd have to completely rewrite it. who knows, maybe one day i'll give it another chance

and then there's this cute little one-shot set pre/during taotu era that i started writing on a whim, and i find myself coming back to it much more frequently than i'd like to admit - because it's so close to being posting material, i'd just have to make some changes and edits here and there... add some bits and pieces... and it'd be ready to be posted. and it's very cute and very fluffy, but somehow i never get round to actually finishing up those last few touches and it's just been sitting in my drive for almost a year now, poor thing skfhsgf

smallville. a name i haven't heard in a long time. i remember watching it as a teenager, i recognise the faces of the actors but i have no clue as to what's going on in the show. the only thing i know is it's about superman (am i sure? not really) as for riverdale, the only thing i've watched are the yt video edits/the memes. some of the videos are kind of funny. especially when you know nothing about the show hahaha

oh wow congrats on actually keeping your promise of watching kdramas 👏👏👏 so revenge of others is a thriller mixed with a little bit of detective stories? (i don't remember the name of the genre lol) i hope the k*ll*r (just in case tumblr wants to flag this post) is not the person you're suspecting because then it ruins the story :/ at least in my opinion ^^ i mean, it's nice if you guess who it is while collecting clues during the first few episodes but if you already guessed by episode 2 then it's a bummer :( but again maybe the story is not entirely focused on finding the culprit and more about how the main character reacts and what will happen to the culprit? i'm sorry those are just random guesses >3< and i'm sure you've got the right answer. you're smart, very smart!
