Cross hums as he finishes cutting another wood board in the right size. He puts it with the others on the pile before checking the list he made before hand.

Cross nods as he looks towards the house "Got them all ready for the downstairs!" Cross grins as he takes a moment to just look at the house. Their house!

When Horror had returned with the news their new acquaintances had secured them a house they had all been sceptic at best, Dust had been downright suspicious.

But it was the truth! aparently they had managed to build up a good enough reputation that they had been trying to figure out a solution. An empty and abandoned farm and ground? That was too small for most to do anything with? hidden mostly by a forest?

Perfect for them!

They had gone to check it out and it is amazing! It is secure and easily to defend! Sure it is an old building but Cross and Horror can fix up the house easily enough! Dust had handed Nightmare over to Killer and had started looking around the house to inspect it.

long story short? He thinks he can fix most things.

With a hopeful plan they spend the inspection day also cleaning. That had been yesterday.

today? They took most of the old construction wood Crop and Straw had stored away and they got to work. Dust is cleaning and fixing what he can while Horror and Cross himself did contruction work.

Killer is on Nightmare watching duty. Mostly because Killer doesn't have nay skills in construction. Neither of them mind as they had been exploring their new area and territory together. Hoenstly it was adorable to see Killer walk by with Nightmare on his shoulders.

Horror walks out of the house as he takes the planks "Thanks. Walls?"

Cross grins proudly "All of them. Including the walls and the new banisters for the roof."

Horror blinks before grinning "great. thanks Oreo." nad he chuckles as Cross sputters.

May be because horror isn't wearing a shirt. Which kinda makes sense! Becuase horror is pulling a lot of old wood away and rebuilding stuff. the chances of him ripping his few good shirts is rather high. Still Cross is trying very hard to just focus on his face and skull. it is fine! No one notices!

Cross turns back to the pile he still has. it has been reduced quickly which sucks. He looks through it with a frown.

Crop stops by him with a knowing smile "Hey Cross!" he grins wider "Getting heated?"

Cross glares at him "Well the late autumn sun is rather warm!" and he goes back to shifting through his pile.

Crop nods "It is it is..." then the grin falls and he frowns "You guys already that low?"

Cross shifts through it more "Yeah but it is okay! I can probably use this to make the cabinets for the kitchen still..." still they will need to get more materials for everything else.

Crop frowns and must have made the same conclusion "Hopefully Straw gets back soon with more stuff."

Cross rubs his neck "You guys really didn't need to help this much... we already own you big time..."

Crop shrugs "That is how a community works Cross. We all help each other. We will eventually pay it back with helping them back." he smiles "We are only a tiny town and only have ourselves to count on. You heard how the deal with the repair service from the big city went. People are quick to think off us as dumb or naive. We gotta stuck together."

Cross shoots him a grin "We will try to ffigure something out... eventually." he groans "we don't even know what type of farm to make yet!"

Crop shrugs "You guys will have to test some stuff. See what works for you and your land..." he grins again "I don't think a diary farm fits you guys though."

Cross glares at him "Not funny. I swear Betty knew she freaked me uot."

Crop nods "Oh absolutely! Cows are really smart."

Just makes them more terrifying in Cross's opinion and he has no doubt that thought is clear on his face.

Crop laughs but a honk of a car pulls them out of their conversation. and. That is a giant truck. much bigger than Straw and Crop's truck.

Crop blinks "Dani and Ellie?" he raises to his feet and waves.

The truck stops and Ellie leans out "Hello! Your lovely neighborhood lesbians have brought you." she puts ahand under her chin and wiggles her eye brows "the wood."

Dani chuckles as she jumps out "Straw told everyone around town. Most people are grabbing their stuff but this was all stuff we were planning on giving to the community anyway." she shrugs "tree farmers after all."

Ellie grins as she waves them over "Come! lets see what you need! We have all types of trunks with us. They will still need some work and treatment but Dani is amazing with her magic!"

Dani grins as she gives a thumbs up "figure out how to treat wood with magic instead of the slow treatment. Most still want the traditional work but i figured you guys would be okay with this help."

Cross is unsure how to react. People don't just help them. People hate them and what they do. Tehy hadn't expected this much help and it is overwhelming "I... I... I don't know how to... We don't have money?" he is lost.

Dani shrugs again as Ellie smiles "Hey. We have been where you guys have been... well not exactly but people werent'exactly welcoming of us either... as soon as we graduated we grbabed my old car and just left. we foudn thsi place and people were nice enough to take a chance on us." she grins "We now pay that forwards. We are doing this!" she grins and winks "Will just have to invite us over for a prime tour of the farm once you guys are all done!"

Dani nods as she starts untying the many trunks "What Ellie said. the Danielle's are at your service. Now what do you need?"

Cross is still lost when Horror joins them curiously. no doubt hearing all the noise. He pauses as he takes in the sight before tilting his skull "What?"

Cross just kidna waves at the two "We... euh.. got help? And thinks? Do you know what we need?" his mind is in shambles at the moment.

Hroror sees it and smiles as he walks past. patting his shoulder before going over to the dog and bunny and having a short conversation. Horror hears their whole speech and smiles. he thanks them and explains what they need for what. The two woman listen closely before nodding and starting to organise the brought materials with practised ease.

Horror joins his side again and grabs Cross's lists. He takes a pencil and writes some tree names by a few of the items before handing them back "They will help prepare the materials. They are nice." and he disappears back inside.

Welp!! If Horror says that that means they are nice and most likely trustworthy! They get over to him and Cross explains the system he had and what they had calculated to need for each area. The two monsters nod and ask if they should start on the porch while cross continues preparing stuff for horror. Which Cross thanks them and agrees wiht.

They are hard at work when Killer nad Nightmare return. Killer laughs "Criss Cross! you are not going to believe this! The like east area just has a tiny field at the edge of the forest and part of that forest is still in our little area! better yet that means some of the forest animals are like right there!" then he notices the guests and grows quiet "oh... hello." His hold on Nightmare's leg tightens.

Ngihtmare tilts his tiny skull at the two monsters "Dani and Ellie... right?"

Ellie coos as Dani grins "Good memory. I can't imagine remembering all the new faces you meet only once is easy." and she finishes her spell on a piece of wood which Ellie pulls over to cut.

Nightmare shrugs as he hugs Killer's skull "good memory..."

KIller nods as he glances at Cross "Sooooo... Hello Lovely ladies!" he grins "What brings you here?"

Dani raises a piece of wood "Neighborhoodly friendliness." and she continues with her task.

Killer stares at him and Cross grins "They brough over some wood" he ignores the eye brow wigglign "after they heard from STraw that we are getting the house fixed up. aparently it is a community thing that everyone helps everyone." he shrugs at the doubting look "Don't look at me. it is new for me too. Horror said it is fine though."

Killer blinks "I mean... if Horror said it is fine..." he looks at Nightmare "What do you think tiny boss?"

Nightamre shrugs and hugs his skull.

Killer nods "notion accepted. Got it." he grins at them "We are going to look at some of the other stuff Straw and Crop brought along. See what is in there."

Cross nods "Good idea!" and he watches Killer walk off with Nightmare.

Dani chuckles and looks over "Not good at construction?"

Cross groans loudly "Killer is good at a lot of things... not construction." he shrugs "It is fine. We don't want Nightmare near this stuff anyway." he is too small to lift everything and could too easily get hurt. it doesn't matter he is technically a god he is not going to have to work. They don't agree with child labor.

Dani nods "I get that. best to have a child safe corner for them to sit in." she turns back to the next trunk and gets to work as Ellie cuts pieces.

They work for a long time and the sun is well past midday when more people come by. They deliver some older looking furniture and more tools and items for them to use.

Most don't stay for long aside from dropping things off or asking if they needed anything specific. Some brought over some premade food for them and other snacks because aparently 'breaks are important!'.

Crop and Straw, when he returned, work on clearing the road betweent eh main road and the farm and getting some clear markers on where to go.

Dani and Ellie leave later in the afternoon and by the end of the day their group of skeletons looks back at their progress. They aren't done yet but it starts to look more like a house than an actual falling apart piece of junk.

Dust is covered in ashes and when they look at him he just says 'fireplace' which probably means he found a challenge of somekind. Then again Cross thinks he spotted Dust on the roof once or twice but each time he had looked back to check he hadn't been there.

They are packing up when Killer and Nightmare return. Killer looking very proud and Ngihtmare looking a bit more nervous as he fidgets.

Horror and him share alook as Horror looks at them, now once again fully dressed "yes?"

Killer grins "Remember how we were told most farms have a name?"

Cross give shim a look "We are aware. we also agreed we would take time to think about it."

Killer grins "True. But! Nightmare thought of one and I figured it was perfect and fine!" Ngihtmare shoots him a glare and crosses his tiny arms.

Dust tils his skull "fact. Waht is the name?"

Cross wants to disagree but also if nightamre wants to clal it something specific he is fine with it. Nightmare never complains about them deciding stuff so why would they complain about this.

Nightmare mutters something but when he sees everyone looking and waiting he speaks louder "It was just an idea... Killer got excited..." still staring and he rubs his arm looking embarresed "It is silly... I thought... I figured Haven would fit. Haven Farm."

Cross stares at Nightmare and feels a bit of tears try to form as the meaning sinks in and what it implies and means. He can't stop it as he picks nightmar eup and hugs him close. Purring much too loud as he speaks "I agree it is perfect!" their home. their safe place. their hide out. their haven.

Killer grins wider and nods "Which i agreed with. So!" he pulls out a board from behind his back.

It is a name plate. It spells Haven but the letters are a bit croaked and nailed to the backboard. it are all different sizes and different colours nad Cross fucking loves it!

Killer grins "We made it together." he rolls his eye lights "don't worry i did the cutting and nailed it all together. Ngihtmare was my supervisor."

Dust looks appeased as he nods "Seems good."

Horror nods as he takes the plate and puts it by the door, too hang later "Will need a bigger one for the gate at the enterance."

Cross grins as he feels ngihtamre relax at the approval and start to purr himself. Cros sjust nuzzles the babybones.

They still have a lot of work ahead of them but that is fine. It will be all so very much worth it once it is done and they have their house to finally just be them.

Late observation but this universe & story seems to focus a lot on the cryptids & I like the direction it's going in! Loving this plot of cryptid hunters, childhood avatar experiments, a strange institute where our main character has past trauma, & just all of it is so good! 💜

I know you'll be busy answering ship asks for awhile but like. I think So Much about how Nat would not have let Jackie die. Jackie's death only works for me because Nat has this perfect reason for not being there - out searching for Javi with Travis all night. Like they must've made a fire, and also had each other for warmth, but Jackie was just. Alone. And if Nat had seen her she would have DRAGGED her ass back inside suicidal tendencies be fucking damned !!!! Jackie: I'm gonna kill myself. Nat: NOT ON MY WATCH! But she wasn't there. But the wilderness wanted Jackie so it kept them both asleep and in that dream. This isn't something I've shared on here or told anyone lol it's just for me < 3 no one has to agree with it. I think the reason I buy into it is that yes Jackie and Shauna are dumb enough to create that ridiculous of a situation but for Shauna to sleep through the night.... Without waking once... Without some sort of influence THAT I find hard to buy. She would have been too anxious to fall asleep even. But, they were Out There, and they were both lulled into sleep, Jackie so she could die, and Shauna so she couldn't save her. And Nat had to be gone too, so the wilderness hid Javi away ((not literally, hopefully you get what I'm saying)) idk the 3 of them just make me so insane and so sad. It's always felt to me like Jackie died by the skin of her teeth, her girls would have, could have, should have saved her, but. The wilderness kept them at bay.

I'm 3 days late to this but I just saw that anon about being anti makeup and i want to thank you for articulating so concisely and patiently why certain women are against makeup. mostly because if i were in your place i absolutely wouldn't have the patience to deal with it lmao. mostly because I've been trying to articulate this stance to my friends irl and the most common reaction to this ime, in real life as well as online from women who disagree, is "but I like it 🥺 what about me? 🥺does that mean I'm a bad person? 🥺 but it's fun and cute and girly 🥺" and they just refuse to engage with any of those ideas because for them it's just harmless fun.

and after running up against this response enough times you just start to get sick of it. a lot of this (most of this) is my own personal exasperation talking but it's frustrating to try to make structural critiques and people are so individualistic they can't think past their own preferences.

I think some women, on some level at least, probably are aware of these things, or they have an inkling of them--if not consciously then subconsciously--but it isn't something they are willing or ready to confront, which explains why some can get incredibly defensive about it. We have this whole thing where your individual choices have become linked to, or representative of, your identity and so any comment against those choices is taken as a personal attack because in a sense, for someone living within that framework, it is. I completely understand your exasperation because I've felt it, too. But I think I'm at a point where, for me personally, I'm not trying to argue with people or convince them because trying to make people see or hear what they aren't willing to will only make them double down harder.

I agree with you and I wish there was a way to actually have these conversations in an open manner without getting stonewalled, but the best thing I can do right now is stay true to my own stance and embody that through example and hopefully I can be open enough through this that it allows others to see they can do the same--or that, at the very least, they have the option to.

Alright, I was up all night figuring this AU out because I’m new to it and it seems interesting. But, I do have some questions.

- What if Usagi was broken enough to actually take his own life? Would Leo attempt to stop him before it actually works? Or what would happen if Leo was too late to save Usagi?

- If it was possible, how would Raph react if he lost Mrs. Cuddles one day?

- Did Mikey get hurt enough one day to the point he was unconscious for more than a few days? How did his brothers react to it?

Okay, now questions (good questions, at that):

- Leo absolutely would attempt to stop him. In the Canon of later years, Usagi is actually on a sort of 'watch' system incase he does try to hurt himself. Typically this involves Leo being around him, but if Leo isn't avaliable, it is usually Shelldon who will make sure Usagi doesn't SH or something similar. Leo would absolutely restrain Usagi or keep Usagi alive/conscious, he wants Usagi to last as long as possible.

If Leo was too late, and Usagi died, Leo would just become a husk of himself. He would become depressed, withdrawn, etc. He'd lash out as well, likely to Usagi's brothers specifically. If Usagi dies, Leo isn't keeping Ken and Ishi around. I can imagine that when Usagi dies, Leo refuses to let go of the body for just. Days/weeks, and only let's go bc he's so dehydrated and hungry that he can't fight Donnie pulling the, ya know, Rotting Corpse out of his arms.

- Lose his complete and utter shit. The entire Lair is getting torn apart looking for her until she's found or they can make/find a new one.

- I could see that happening 100%, though it hasn't happened in anything canon. Probably just a nice mini-coma after a week long bender or something, or a pretty hard fight in the nexus.

Leo would absolutely not want to leave Mikey alone. He'd be attached to Mikey's side and waiting like a pathetic soggy cat for him to wake up. Leo would be just so sad bc he misses his little brother :( Donnie wouldn't really LIKE the fact Leo would always be jostling/moving Mikey, but he also can't really STOP him sooooo. He picks his battles.

New 3's on the train to Inkopolis Square(which is fully unlocked after beating Side Order; the option just takes you to SO until then) and falls asleep, one matrix-y transition later and we're in Eight's pov inside of whatever simulation they got dragged into. it's purely to transition the player from New 3 to Eight, and the events are completely unrelated

I personally think that they're either mobile versions of the copy machine from the lobby, or some weird, goopy creation of the simulation used to replace enemy Octolings in gameplay(which is a fun twist, haven't had enemy Inklings before) otherwise I have no idea lol. they're enemy units and that's all I've got

This ficlet (WARNING: BREAK UP FIC). Life got hectic during Eddie Month so I only wrote a couple of things and this one hurrrrt baaad.

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Hmm, tough to pick seeing as I usually write happy endings. Lol, the number of times I ended something with Steddie kissing or saying, "I love you". I think I'll go with the entirety of my Joanie Munson AU because it's where I aim to be as fluffy/sappy as possible.

8. Do you get hate on fics?

I am extremely thankful that so far I haven't. And I am sending all my love and hugs to people who deal with/have dealt with hateful comments.

Steve Harrington & Eddie Munson vs. A Box of Condoms is the closest I have come (hehe, pun). Idk, I struggle to write smut. I'm much better with suggestive language and innuendo, but somehow this fic got the balance right and honestly, gave me a lot of confidence!

10. Do you write crossovers?

No. But I need everyone to know that I have a Riverdale x ST crossover sloshing around in my brain juice on the regular.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Not to my knowledge. But now I'm paranoid *also proceeds to have an existential crisis about ai scraping my very internet-based soul.

No, but I'm more than welcome for someone to reach out.

No. I am absolutely open to it though! The closest to a collab I have done is Just a Shirt in which I wrote a whole fic from some incredible tags that were left on a ficlet.

I mean, it's gotta be Steddie right? I've never had a hyperfixation give me brainrot like this. Though, if we go back to lame teenage me, the ship that really got me into the fic/tumblr sphere was Sterek.

I have been returning to a few wips I thought I had abandoned lately, so never say never. I firmly believe in taking a break if something isn't working out and circling back with fresh eyes.

16. What are your writing strengths?

Despite how I am probably answering most of these questions (lmao), I think I am pretty good at keeping my writing concise and moving it right along. It's not that I rush writing, but I am good at recognising when something I have written begins to meander. I like writing dialogue where people are cutting each other off, and crafting stuff that is a quick little ficlet etc. Having said this...

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Descriptive language. I always get so caught up in action and dialogue that I easily forget descriptions of surroundings, objects, clothes etc. Funnily enough, right now I am working on a few quick visual aids (flash-sheet style sketches) for my Steddie BB fic of things that I need to keep in mind/remember to describe as a strategy that will hopefully help.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

I could never do it (I only speak English), but honestly, kudos to you if you do/can!

Affection: How do they show their love and affection? How intense would it get?

Blood: How messy are they willing to get when it comes to their darling?

Ohhh, Raphael is the embodiment of an intense yandere. He's violent, easily jealous, and temperamental.

You are the mutant's weakness and his love is often harsh and violent if something doesn't go his way.

He is one of the more sadistic yanderes. He often uses violence to solve any sort of jealousy. Be it aiming to maim or kill, Raph does not pull punches.

Towards his darling he can be vulnerable, simply wanting to be held. For the most part he's affectionate... until you get on his bad side.

Cruelty: How would they treat their darling once abducted? Would they mock them?

Messy. Raphael knows a ninja shouldn't kill... however- when it comes to you morals tend to change.

Raphael doesn't mind being covered in blood if it's for you.

He doesn't mind digging his sai's into someone's eyes for looking at you. He doesn't mind breaking all their bones just to hear that satisfying crack. He wants those who threaten your relationship to know what they've done. A lesson, if you will.

Then they can either bleed out in an alley or be killed by his hands...

They'll be cold, bloodied, and dead either way.

Darling: Aside from abduction, would they do anything against their darling’s will?

Yeah, actually. But that's only if he feels you've been rejecting his attempts at a relationship.

Raphael may mock you if you've gotten on his nerves before he kidnapped you. Normally he won't, but sometimes he just can't resist.

In terms of how you're treated is something along the lines of his;

Raphael will lock you up somewhere he knows the others won't find you. He gives you a mattress he found and hides you deep in another part of the sewers. No one can find you there, be them human or mutant hopefully

Only Raphael knows this place.

He'll feed and care for you, sometimes treating you like a pet. He fears abandonment ever since the Spike/Slash incident and treats you like a second Spike.

With the chains around your limbs and the casual threats he happens to mention... you'll be obedient.

Other than that, if you're compliant, he'll try to be very loving.

He tries not to but if he gets too driven by his anger then he most likely will.

Exposed: How much of their heart do they bare to their darling? How vulnerable are they when it comes to their darling?

Fight: How would they feel if their darling fought back?

He doesn't like showing himself as vulnerable. He wants to show himself as strong... always training... always fighting.

There's blood on his hands now.

He is quite vulnerable around you, however.

It's shown when he curls around you or holds you in his lap. You can tell by his soft murmurs and tight grip he relies on you to ease his issues.

Game: Is this a game to them? How much would they enjoy watching their darling try to escape?

Well... safe to say he doesn't mind putting you in your place?

Unless he's punishing you he won't hurt you too much. He'll just show you he can overpower you.

It's a subtle threat.

Hell: What would be their darling’s worst experience with them?

Not a game even if he gains sadistic pleasure from his obsession at times. He'll play around a bit if you managed to escape somehow.

He wants to see how far you get.

Ideals: What kind of future do they have in mind for/with their darling?

With a yandere as volatile with him it could be a number of things.

- Seeing him murder.

- His punishments.

- Him snapping.

Anything that showcases his volatile nature will be horrible for you to witness due to his violence and sadism

He hasn't thought of it. Perhaps dating... or keeping you as a pet. Honestly any future where you're kept by his side is one he likes.

Jealousy: Do they get jealous? Do they lash out or find a way to cope?

Yes. Incredibly jealous. He will lash out, too. He's temperamental, like a ticking time bomb prepared to cause carnage when he sees someone else with you.

Kisses: How do they act around or with their darling?

Love letters: How would they go about courting or approaching their darling?

He acts awkward at times when he first begins his obsession. He's a bit teasing and acts like a friend. When he's with you in your little "relationship" (prison) he's very vulnerable.

He'll cling and vent to you, almost crushing you with his size when he leans on you. He can be... very emotionally weak when he isn't burning with rage.

You almost feel bad.

Mask: Are their true colors drastically different from the way they act around everyone else?

He's surprisingly nervous and tries to avoid the crush he has at first. But soon he accepts it and tries to grow closer with you. He's content with just being best friends for a little while...

Yet now he's asking for dating advice from Casey of all people and he struggles to approach you with the topic.

That is until something sets him off and causes him to act fast on his festering obsession deep within.

Yes. He's eager to fight, his brothers know this. But ever since his obsession... murder seems to be all that's on his mind now.

Naughty: How would they punish their darling?

Oppression: How many rights would they take away from their darling?

Oh... brutal.

Part of him hates this, part of him enjoys it.

Isolation is good and all, but sometimes he doesn't feel it's enough.

Raphael would break your bones if you really pissed him off. If not, he'll make your skin bleed and that's it. When you bruise... and he feels the message has been sent... he patches you up.

He'll make you good as new... although the lesson stays behind in your head to not go against him or his delusions.

Most of them. He likes to show some sort of power over you. It makes him strangely... excited? He can't quite put it into words.

Patience: How patient are they with their darling?

Quit: If their darling dies, leaves, or successfully escapes, would they ever be able to move on?

He's always on the fence. It's like the slightest thing can set him off if he's annoyed. Although... he tries to be as patient as he can with you.

He does love you, after all.

It would take a real long time. He could move on... or he could not. I'm not sure if he could, personally.

Regret: Would they ever feel guilty about abducting their darling? Would they ever let their darling go?

If he does it's a quiet thought in the back of his mind. He could let you go but that's rare. Isolating you is an easy way to stop his stirring jealousy AND it keeps you safe.

Stigma: What brought about this side of them (childhood, curiosity, etc)?

Troubled past, anger issues, trauma? Anything along the lines of that.

Tears: How do they feel about seeing their darling scream, cry, and/or isolate themselves?

Unique: Would they do anything different from the classic yandere?

He isn't the best with this but he does try to comfort. He may be a violent turtle but the mutant isn't entirely heartless.

He'll hold you close, even with a little force, then try to comfort you.

He's lucid enough to know he may be the cause of your pain... but he ignores that fact as it threatens his delusions.

Raphael can hurt his darling even though he "loves" them.

Raphael is a volatile yandere. You could theoretically use his temper against him somehow.

He isn't entirely a worship yandere. To a certain extent he'll cling to you like he'll break it he loses you. He'd go to extreme lengths to keep you, including a rampage of violence and gore.

He can pine for awhile. It starts getting bad when he starts losing people he cares about. That's when things truly go downhill for you.

Jodie's thoughts on Jessica:

Jodie, first and foremost, appreciates Jessica's honesty. Yes, there may be times where it can come across quite blunt or abrasive, but the aim is always the same and it's refreshing to have someone be transparent with their feelings. Jodie has always been playing mental chess with many people in her life, from Perseus manipulating her as a kid, to Keith, to Adler - it gets exhausting, so having someone not be like that is a nice break.

I also think she'd like how efficient she is, too. They're similar in that respect, although Jodie isn't as regimented; if a plan needs to change, be updated or tweaked, she can compromise, even if a plan beforehand was good enough to work with. She may sometimes be irked by Jessica's orderly ways of planning but ultimately thinks it's a strong trait to have.

Jodie would also want tips on how Jessica meticulously ties her hair back in that bun - Jodie suffers from flyaway baby hairs at times and though she probably shouldn't have a fringe, it hides that mess. But if she were to get tips? Maybe she'd grow that fringe out (essentially, she likes the succinct clean style that Jessica has going on.)

Nanette's thoughts on Joyce:

Alright, given that Joyce works alongside her husband, she's probably heard a lot more about her than seen her, as Nanette isn't military personnel. BUT, that does not mean Nanette hasn't got any thoughts on her. In fact, she's secretly very thankful that John has good teammates that have his back.

When they have met in person, Nanette would think she looks awesome - although she would have been expecting a guy because of the nickname 'Joe'. This woman would then be giddy and excitable, happy to make a new friend (Ghost kinda scares the absolute shit out of her tbh). Not only that, but I feel like she'd be happy to make friends with a woman. Sometimes life on the military base can be very lonely, so you can bet she'd ask Joyce if they can share numbers.

Although, Nanette is very intuitive, spiritual person and sometimes she can just sense when someone has gone through some stuff; she'd probably never mention it, but she'd get a sense that Joyce has gone through some battles. Nanette would have some sympathy, in the sense that she wishes people didn't have to go through anything horrid, and extend that kind of feeling towards Joyce. Again, this wouldn't be outwardly spoken about, but Nanette would sense it.

I think, as well, that sometimes people who have gone through personal battles can tell when someone else has, too. Nanette has a few emotional scars that she hides, so would probably find Joyce comforting; she'd look at her, see how great she is, how she's doing in life and relationships and be reminded that people are good, people do get good endings.

Idk, I feel like Nanette would really like Joyce. In the way that she'd an annoying little sibling following you around because they want to be your best friend ;u;

BUT she would also have her back with anything, like her first thought if they were good friends would be 'I'd definitely get into a bar fight for you bestie'. Even though this woman has never fought in her life lmao...

Greatest literary inspirations: I like the female protags in Karin Slaughter novels, and I love Tanya Huff's Torin Kerr from her Confederation series--I'm sure they've inspired me on some level. Oh, and Phedre from Jacqueline Carey's Kushiel books, too, although it's been ages since I read those. But I think most of my inspiration actually comes from other forms of media. I love the action babes of the late 90s/early 00s: Lara Croft is the number one inspo here, and pretty much all of Michael Turner's comic girls but especially Sara from Witchblade. And I think Better Call Saul is easily one of the best-written shows ever made--That's one I always go back to when I feel like I need to refill the inspo well.

Things in my current fandoms I want to read but I don't want to write: I have a confession: I usually only read a ton of fic when I first get into a fandom and I can't get enough and I just want to soak it all up, but after a certain point, I just don't have a lot of headspace for other people's stories. 😬 I feel bad about it sometimes, and it's not like I never read anything after that point, but 90% of the time, what I wanna write is what I wanna read. It's kind of a closed loop, I guess.

Things in my current fandoms I want to write but I think nobody would be interested in them but me: Well, I'm not at all deterred by being the only person interested in something I write, haha. One of my favorite one-shots I've ever written is between my Cousland and Hawke meeting briefly at Ostagar, and it's probably my least popular fic on AO3 by a big margin. But I do like deep-diving into my own OCs, and it generally is harder to get an audience for fic that doesn't have canon characters. Ain't gonna stop me, though!

My most controversial take (current fandom): Yeah, no, not gonna be sharing my actual most controversial takes, lmao.

But I do also love the Devil ending! I don't think there's one objectively "best" ending--What's good for one V isn't necessarily good for another--But for my Valerie, it suited her story the best. I love the poetry of her going back to Arasaka after getting fired by them, I love storming Arasaka Tower with Goro, I love the conflict with Johnny, I love making Goro confront how fucked up the Arasakas are, I love the possibilities of Mikoshi--The only way it would have been better for me is if this nixed idea had actually been put into action.

And I wish we could roleplay a V that is actually more "pro"-corpo in the game, especially if we had the corpo lifepath. Sticking it to the man is sexy and all, but I just love delving into characters that align themselves with shitty institutions and exploring different motivations (I personally like cynical pragmatism/self-preservation and delusional idealism) that lead a person there.

What’s your current writing mood (10 – super motivated and churning out words like crazy, 0 – in a complete rut): Like, 0.5, lmao. I've been rereading and organizing my WIPS, so there's some effort being put in there, but I'm very much in one of my "ummmm, how do I even write fiction?" phases.

Share a random frustration: I have ZERO discipline when it comes to writing. I need to be in a fully feral, totally isolated from distractions place or I just can't get shit done. When I'm in the zone, I'm in the fuckin' zone, but I get like 3 months of that every 5 years, lmao.
