I present to you Dracula in my vision and style (^-^). The impetus was also my birthday, but that's a secret. And also some specifics:
With the arrival of Johnny and "modernity" he changed his dressing style. He couldn't give up the cape with a collar, so he had a custom-made cape with a more modern style with sleeves, keeping the full length and collar.
Vest clips in the shape of cool skulls.
Red to make it easier to stand out from the crowd.
The vest pocket has the hotel logo on it (as do all the family and staff).
He gets angry when the simplest job isn't done perfectly (I guess he could be considered a perfectionist).
At the request of any family member, will drop wIhatever business he was doing to help.
Rarely uses the phone, prefers to write everything down in a notebook.
Sometimes he leaves his phone wherever he goes, which makes it impossible to reach him. In such situations everyone just shouts his name all over the hotel (He is often scolded because of this, and not only by family members. He always promises to get better)
During the day, you can see a mug of coffee in his hands.
Sincerely doesn't understand why everyone liked his cape (because of the similarity to a long sweatshirt, yes).
Well, that's a small part of what I can tell you. I would like to draw other characters from the hotel in the future. But for now, how about Drac?
DRACULA SMACKDOWN ROUND 1 MATCH 14: Count Orlok (Nosferatu) vs. Dracula (Hotel Transylvania)
PROPAGANDA FOR ORLOK:
“Basically an early film version of Dracula that’s great an influential and was trying to get around copyright and also appeal to local audiences in Germany. Also fucking creepy"
“Imagine being so freaky you caused a copyright lawsuit. Couldn’t be me [...] But really he has no chill. The dude tries to drink blood from a guy’s hand at the dinner table. Says his wife has a nice neck after literally sucking his blood. Has an entire pile of coffins to move to one (1) house. Becomes smoke bc he got distracted by a pretty woman. Just insane behavior. I love it”
PROPAGANDA FOR HOTEL TRANSYLVANIA'S DRACULA:
“He's literally dracula! I don't think he's the best Dracula but I have daddy issues which makes me like the movie!”
As explained in the first film, Dracula and his gang were part of a band where Dracula was the lead singer. So I believe they were a pretty famous Rock band (or almost) in their time. Here is Dracula and Wayne in their teens with the Vampire being the vocalist and the Werewolf being the keyboardist. Hope you like it
I thought of doing a similar art for Halloween, but it's still far away \(^-^)/
Well, time to contemplate...
In my opinion, Drac is quite patient, and the flashes of anger, as shown in the cartoon, are just his vampiric trait, meaning he doesn't stay angry at someone for long. Generally, I suppose vampires seem the most emotional to ordinary people just because they often witness things like furniture flying because a vampire is inspired or happy about something, or, for example, walls trembling when he's angry. Well, I won't list all the examples, I think you get me.
But! What if you really make them angry? (I'll talk only about Drac now, after all, all monsters have different characters) It's characteristic for him to smile, and it's not because he's happy to see someone. The smile has nothing to do with a good mood, on the contrary, it would signify some sadistic pleasure, sarcasm, superiority over others (it might even be partly insane?). And I think partly his origin is to blame for that. Like, come on, would a species that's been alive for thousands of years be weak/equal to others? Heh-heh. I think it wouldn't be difficult for him to tear everyone in sight apart in a fit of rage.
I think he (and some of his servants) just find it funny when hotel guests try to threaten him.
But overall, everyone somehow agreed that if everyone respects this guy, then he's cool, let's not argue with him.
The time for reflection is over. And now, darn it, I really like the golden elements in his clothing; drawing them is pure pleasure. And I also hate shadows... Can someone else draw them for me, please? ( ╥ω╥ )
In short, share your opinion, tell me what you like about the drawing process, and what you don't, etc.
