Well, a week ago I was rewatching the entire Hotel Transylvania franchise. And after seeing Dracula interact with his friends, I came up with the idea of ​​making a fanfic inspired by the character Wayne the werewolf. This fanart is a small spoiler of the fanfic. (yes, Wayne will turn back into a human.) [This fanfic I'm thinking about doing, won't be YAOI and I'm still thinking about whether it will involve the events of the 4th film.]

CATCHING MY BREATH, STARING OUT AN OPEN WINDOW

Wayne Howling is based on Wayne from Hotel Transylvania. He is a 54 year old werewolf, data processor, and uses he/him pronouns. He has the power of shifting and super strength. Wayne is portrayed by Timothy Olyphant and he is open.

CATCHING MY DEATH, AND I COULDN’T BE SURE

Wayne thought he'd waited long enough to settle down. Sure, he was only in his twenties by the time he decided to get married and start a family, but werewolf years didn't quite work the same as human years. He'd had plenty of time to enjoy being young and wild with his friends... so he thought. It turned out he might have overestimated himself, but by the time he realized that, he was up to his neck in baby diapers and responsibilities he was less than excited to handle. He and Wanda always wanted a big family, and he couldn't exactly back out three kids in, so the headcount continued to grow and his hair got grayer and grayer. He loved his children, but he missed the days he could have even an hour to himself. He missed date nights with his wife, he missed going to bars and bachelor parties. He missed feeling like his own person. No matter how hard he tried to be grateful for what he had, he felt like he was but a shell of his former self. He just didn't have the energy to spend with all of the kids after long days at the office; he felt like he was neglecting them, he was neglecting his relationship, he was neglecting himself, and he longed for any chance they had to take a vacation at his friend's hotel. Until they wound up stuck in Evermore somehow, which was a whole new pile of stress, finding a place for their large family, a job in his field, losing the only break he ever got. But the town was teaching him something. These days, though he still can't help but feel like half the man he used to be, he can acknowledge being a father is the best thing he's done in life. If only he could show it.

Wayne's considered him one of his best friends ever since. ❀ Mary Sanderson: She is too much of an old soul to be human, but his nose doesn't work like it used to, and he can't sniff out what she is. Whatever it is... he has a feeling it isn't good.

He gets a knock on the door one day and it’s his old buddy Jim Hopper with that Harrington kid standing sheepishly behind him, with his arm wrapped up in bandages and a long cut running through his brow. Hop cuffs the kid on the back of the head and then the boy is stepping forward and apologizing, then saying “thanks again, sir.”

It takes Wayne a few days to piece together that the boy is his wolf.

How much do we love werewolves here?

Design notes:

Both of their paw-pads are solid, unbroken pieces that span the palm of their hand to their fingerprints. They can leave comically large fingerprints that are unique to their werewolf forms.

Scars are heavily more prominent in werewolf form. This is due to the skin stretching as they grow in size. If the scar is big enough this causes discomfort.

Jason is based off of a Red Wolf purely for self-indulgent reasons (I really love Jason and I really love Red Wolves)

Bruce is based on Labrador Wolves / kinda mishmashed with gray wolves.

Despite being similar in height, Bruce seems to tower over Jason in wolf form due to the sheer volume of his fur. He is FLUFFFYYYY

Jason has a blaze marking on his forehead that's atypical to any wolf species because I wanted a nod to his white streak :]

Are their kneepads uncomfortable? Most definitely. Are they in any state in Beast World to be aware enough to get those off? Nah

They do however tend to lose more pieces of their vigilante costumes the longer they remain in wolf form. This goes for Bruce's cowl, Jason's weaponry, shoes, and anything small.

I made a teenage version of Wayne and we can say that the other fanart is a pre-transformation version of Wayne. It's not one of the best but I hope it pleases me a little. And for those who are in doubt, yes, these days I will be posting fanart of Hotel Transylvânia. "But not many in Gotham would be," you finish frowning. "I'll see what I can come up with for you."

"Thank you," Alfred said, cutting over Bruce who was clearly gearing up to say something absurd.
