there has been more moments than i can count in the past seven months where i felt destroyed by all the death and carnage i've seen due to the colonialism and imperialism of the world. but there was something in particular about hind's death that made me think the world would stop turning bc how could anything continue given how gruesome and inhumane her death was? and yet, the world did not stop. and i thought we were once again left to remember her story only in our minds as she became another number, as her murderers went on killing unpunished, and as her mother grieved with rage when all she wanted was to keep her daughter warm and as safe as she could manage in this man-made hell on earth.

however, hind, a girl who only got to experience her kindergarten graduation, is now being immortalized in universities across the nation. her story did resonate to the masses and we will not let her be forgotten nor forgive those complicit in her death. real justice would be having hind alive, but these students are showing that they will stop the world and burn the status quo it upholds to the ground if it means her people can truly be liberated.

people are dying. paypal and ko-fi take percentages. paypal has a monthly withdrawal limit. i'm the first to admit i know nothing about cryptocurrencies, but ahmed has said it goes directly to him without a service taking a cut. i assume there are fewer or no withdrawal limits. it is harder to track and less regulated, which, in this case, provides an additional layer of security for people being precision targeted. get over it.

"It took just one day of war for Palestinian-American attorney Reem Elkhaldi, of Oviedo, to learn that her friend, a newlywed whom she watched get married last summer, was among those slain in Israel's retaliatory attack in Gaza. But she couldn't mourn. She was already working with the refugees employed by her Gaza-based nonprofit to get food and supplies into the region.

"You don't even get to process the grief before something else happens," Elkhaldi said, describing how she has felt watching the Palestinian death toll spike to more than 20,000 in just three months. "You don't have an option. You have to continue."

It's sickening to see so many people defend rape, torture and murder. So many people who keep reblogging posts about fighting antisemitism but immediately rejoice when horrifying stuff happens to Israelis. So many people whose morals very obviously depend on whether they like someone or not. Kidnapping children, sexual assault, killing people (especially civilians!) is evil no matter who the victim is! I literally cannot comprehend how you can just switch off your compassion for other human beings.

And for what? Hamas and their methods aren't representative of Palestinians and they sure as hell don't give a fuck about their well-being either. They want Israel to retaliate and kill as many innocent Palestinans as possible. And the Israelis that died, their deaths won't help Palestinians either, their suffering continues. Once again hundreds and hundreds of powerless people on both sides die(d). For absolutely nothing.

ultimately no one is obligated to spread or donate to palestinian gofundmes they find sketchy when (unfortunately) there are endless people who need help and places to donate, palestinians who reach out to a ton of people definitely do so only expecting a few responses, and ultimately it’s your money. but it’s bizarre to me that for some people “every single ask tumblr users get claiming to be a palestinian trying to evacuate gaza is part of an organized scam ring that tumblr staff is implicitly in on” is easier to accept than “scammers can co-opt actual language palestinians use to ask for help to take advantage of people’s kindness and sometimes individual palestinians who vet campaigns make mistakes”
