I read Snape's Worst Memory for the first time yesterday. I'm legitimately, physically in pain for what happened to Severus. I couldn't sleep. It feels like there's a stone in my throat, the pain is a physical sensation. I'm devastated by how much this tramautic experience is just swept under the carpet. They hung him upside down and stripped him naked in front of a crowd of his peers.

He's a fifteen year old, low-class boy in a bigotted school who literally did nothing to prompt this. And his friend is amused by it, almost cracked a smile. And when he lashes out verbally at his friend, instead of recognizing he's in the midst of a highly traumatic experience, she joins in with the bullies by calling him dirty, and uses the name his bullies use to break down his sense of self. And walks away! And then when he apologises for lashing out at her, she still resents him! And marries his fucking tormenter! What the fuck!

i have a lot of opinions on the BiS remake but my current opinion that i wanna spew onto a text post is that they gave bosses more HP than in the original and they had no reason to do that imo.

the first few bosses its ok and i didn't notice because the scaling isn't that bad, but the moment i hit the trash bot boss i realized "man am i dogwater at the game, or does this boss have more HP than it should" and when i told a discord buddy about it he went "yeah the trash robot has 1600 or so HP in the remake, he has 1200-1400 HP in the original" and every boss after that took me way too many attempts to beat. i used easy mode for the whisderm fight because i already hated the first fight with her in the remake and did not wanna deal with that same boss but with more HP.

dark fawful was my personal sleep paralysis demon for like a whole week because he has 2280 HP IN THE REMAKE. he has 1736 in the original, and that doesn't sound like big difference but IT IS. IT FREAKING IS.

did nintendo and alphadream do this because the remake removed the retry clocks and they were afraid the bosses would be too easy?? my brethren in christ, this is a game for children.

Also Zyzy has finally caught up with the others :) and I managed to win with this team- cosmeon was just there for lvl so I could get a lunala (have to catch one now because it ended up becoming a solgeleo) and hoopa- poor hoopa was the one I switched to to heal everyone else and maybe get a shadow ball in- fairy was hell but dig via Luna and serperiors Giga drain was enough-

I can't stand the Marauders. I hate them with the force of a thousand forest fires for what they did to Severus. I physically can't read about them bullying Severus—why do they have to do it in the Great Hall, especially? And for what? Because he's ungainly and crude?

Instead of getting what they deserved for humiliating him day in and day out, these immature boys are hero-worshipped. Sirius is the only one whose karma bit him in the ass and went to Azkaban, while James got away with years of tormenting Severus.

If someone has any fic recs for the Marauders getting what they deserve, or at least apologizing to Severus, please drop their link. I need some balm for the soul.
