Barbatos, a heroin from Mondstat, says he's staying in Liyue. Chaos and attraction is becoming the new norm for Alatus. or, Venti lusting after Xiao's abs... for like ten minutes...

10/10 I really adored this au. I don't think I've ever been able to find any genshin superhero fics before so this one was a treat! It's around 12,000 words so it's pretty long. Definitely worth it though!

[or: four nosey kids, and the things it takes for them to realize that two of their teachers are married... to each other.]

It becomes painstakingly obvious that Xiao has a thing for Barbatos, so friends new and old attempt to play matchmaker. They won’t rest until the apple of Xiao’s eye takes up residency in both his heart and his teapot. Venti is far more perceptive than people give him credit for, but thinks you should never meet your heroes. Somehow, they make it work.

7/10 The way they beat up Childe. I loved Venti and Xiao's interactions so, so much. This fic was so good. I promise you won't be dissapointed.

“Oz, my loyal companion, fetch me the eggs.” Fischl swayed the loose, undone parts of her hair behind her shoulders right after cracking one more egg into the bowl. 

Oz shook his head in worry, “Mein Fräulein, that is more than enough for a single batch.” 

The mixture was turning rock hard the more Collei tried to knead it, losing flexibility and probably flavor with each passing second. 

Fischl let out an exaggerated huff, “Ozvaldo von Hrafnavins, you dare question the actions of your Prinzessin? Fetch them this instant!” 

Oz wanted to protest for the sake of the cookies, but Fischl was unyielding as always. Collei wiped the drops of sweat on her forehead with her arm, “Oz is right, Fischl. It’s turning so stiff, I can barely knead it anymore…”

Fischl leaned in, inspecting the batter closely as Collei struggled to bend it with her fingers. After a millisecond of worry, she placed her hands on her hips, wetting the apron, “Food is merely a reminder of the shackles of our flesh, Collei. You mustn’t trouble yourself with matters of mortals, for I—” 

“But, we are mortals.” Collei’s brows raised.

“Fischl, have gazed upon this land countless times—” 

“It’s our first time in Inazuma…” 

“And have concluded that the products of our hard-work are nothing but mere fuel for our earthly vessels.”

Following the short monologue, Oz and Collei stared at her hopelessly, until a smile took over Collei’s face. So preoccupied with preparing and mixing the batter, she hadn’t had the time to look at Fischl for the past thirty minutes or so. 

She looked absolutely adorable in her apron, decorated with ravens and purple hearts that Collei had embroidered for her. An imprint of flour had painted the tip of her nose white, with more marks along the front of the apron. Her cheeks were rosy from running around in the kitchen all day. 

And though she tried to hide her worries of screwing up, Collei could easily read the stress ridden under her confident façade. 

“You look… so cute.” as Fischl tried to make sense of her long stare, Collei accidentally blurted out.

“I—” Fischl gasped, “Hmph!” 

But soon, she couldn’t help but join Collei, chuckling with embarrassment and the affection that overflowed from her heart. 

Simultaneously, at the town square where food vendors would gather every Sunday, another couple was running into a world of trouble. Well, at least one of its members was.

“Hu Tao… You can’t just eat everything you see…” Kokomi stared at her girlfriend in worry, but Hu Tao already had her teeth sinking into a fruit that she hadn’t even seen before in her life. 

“Hah?” She chewed carefully, lost in thought, as if she knew what it was supposed to taste like in the first place, “But I have to do a taste test before we spend all our Mora on it!”

Kokomi turned around to eye the other stalls, “But… They’re more or less the same, it’s just for the toppings anyways.” 

Though it had only taken her a few seconds, upon her return, Hu Tao was already stuffing her face with a product that was definitely not suited for the fruit cake they had planned out. 

“No, no no, Hu Tao! Don’t eat the flowers!” Kokomi reached out her hand. 

“Duhh-nt eat th—hmmph—what?”

“Those are not… edible.”

The vendor watched the outlander with a fond look on his face, “If you’re hungry, we can offer you a lot better than Naku Weed, Miss.” 

“Apologies, please excuse us, my girlfriend is from Liyue, she’s still…” Kokomi wished she hadn’t looked at Hu Tao mid-sentence, because the sight of her trying to rid her tongue of the taste like a nauseous cat was making it so hard to keep a straight face—

“Getting used to Inazuma. I will compensate you for everything she has taken.”

The vendor smiled, “Oh? The Divine Priestess! What an honor. No, please get as much as you want, it’s on the house.” 

Hu Tao’s eyes sparkled the second she heard the phrase ‘on the house’, eager to get everything that she wanted to try. 

“I’m afraid I can’t accept your kind offer, please, I know it has been a rough season.” 

“It would be even worse without your assistance, milady. Please, it’s the least we can do to thank you.” 

Kokomi took a moment to consider and decided it was best to accept, on the condition that he would be compensated later for his kindness and understanding.

“Then, please allow the maidens of the shrine to stop by every once in a while.” she came up with a solution. 

“Hehe, you’ve got yourself a deal.” 

The two shook hands, Kokomi was now relieved as Hu Tao kept tasting all the different fruits and creating a surprisingly impressive array. After debating on how they were going to decorate the cake, they stuffed their arms with the shopping bags and set out for home. 

The island was as lively as it was every Sunday. Groups of kids playing out on the fields as their parents chatted and enjoyed tea on picnic tables, senior citizens taking their time picking out their groceries, haggling and joking around with the vendors, house gatherings similar to the tea party that they would be holding later that day, it was serene as Kokomi herself and as enticing as her beloved butterfly jumping around next to her.

“I hope Fischl isn’t burning the house down.” Kokomi giggled. 

“Ah, don’t worry about it, they’re probably fine.” Hu Tao said, lax as an old man who had seen it all, but Kokomi already seemed a bit jittery. 

“Oh… You are worrying about it.” Hu Tao dropped the bags on the ground and Kokomi followed her lead. 

“Not… just about them but, this whole thing. I would like to be a good host and, if I start shutting down…” she gazed down at the floor, shoulders dropping down. 

Hu Tao cupped her cheeks gently, “It’s gonna be okay. We have that play prepared and everything. There will be more than enough entertainment. And, if it gets really overwhelming…” her hands lingered in the air, the same way she stuck out of closets and corners with a mischievous ‘boo!’, “I’ll scare the shit out of them, hm?” 

Kokomi wrapped her hands around her neck, “I don’t think that would be very hospitable of us.” 

“Then I’ll stick to entertainment.” Hu Tao’s hands landed on her waist softly, “We’ll deal with it, angelfish.”

After taking a quick look around, Kokomi stole a kiss from her girlfriend’s lips, leaving a peck of gratitude for always being by her side.

“Thank you.”  

Back at the house, the kitchen was now shared by two duos, diligently working to complete their desserts and pastries before the guests arrived. Their harmonious method was commendable, ingredients being swapped around quickly, team members shuffling away from their stations and switching places to maximize efficiency as the smell of vanilla and fresh fruits surrounded them. 

With all goods ready to be baked and the arrival of their guests fast approaching, Kokomi pointed at the oven, “Can you preheat it?”

Hu Tao clutched her vision very confidently until Kokomi rushed to hand her a small box, “With the matches!”

“Oh… Yeah… Yeah, of course. Teehee…” 

Fischl and Collei couldn’t help but giggle.

“Kids, why don’t you go rest a bit? You’ve been taking care of everything since the morning.” Kokomi smiled at them. 

They nodded, heading into the living room to make sure all the props for the play were in place, and then stepped out to the garden.

A gentle breeze swept over the grass and flowed into their hair and clothes.

Fischl gently folded the apron she held near and dear to her heart, prepared by her beloved Collei. It was a must to have it on whenever she walked into the kitchen. The ravens were now paled out with flour and sugar, Fischl made a mental note to give it a thorough wash-up after the party was over. 

They settled on the grass, Collei sitting and Fischl laying down with her head on her lap. 

“Do you… like it here, Collei?” she reached up to brush away a strand of hair that tickled Collei’s nose. 

“Yeah, sure. It’s beautiful and the people are so nice. Do you?”   

“Well, of course. I have created many fond memories during my travels.” Fischl closed her eyes peacefully, “But, it is a lot more enjoyable when you visit it with your betrothed.”

Collei’s eyes widened before she bursted into laughter, “I don’t think my Prinzessin knows the meaning of betrothed.”

“Hm?” 

Collei averted her gaze, “It means um… Engaged, you know…”

“It does?” 

Fischl sounded so surprised that her voice was returning to its natural tone, it wasn’t often that she would fail to absorb words she read in books into her vocabulary. 

“Indeed it does, my Prinzessin.” Collei reminded her. 

Fischl cleared her throat, “Oh… In that case, the Prinzessin stands corrected.” 

She scratched her head, trying to figure out where she adopted it from, wrongfully so.

“Strange, I thought it just meant the one you loved.” she thought out loud. 

Collei's cheeks turned red. 

She was the one Fischl loved. And it was always so endearing and heart-warming no matter who she was, whether it be the Prinzessin or just Fischl. It didn’t change anything other than Collei’s position, which swayed between Fischl’s princess or her girlfriend depending on the circumstances. 

It all remained the same, how Fischl rested on Collei’s lap. A constant, even though the setting would never stay the same. But that was the exciting part, getting to travel the world together and experience all of it together. Climbing its hills, soaking in its rivers, walking on the paths of villages they have never been to before. 

Embracing all that's new with open arms as they reveled in the comfort and familiarity of each other's presence.

How could you feel homesick when home was a person that stuck by your side no matter what?

It was Fischl who had first taken Collei’s hand inside her own, and after that, Collei never felt weak ever again, not one day in her life. She didn’t feel scared, alone and misunderstood anymore. She didn’t feel hurt or sick, a wilting flower like she used to. 

Instead, she was in bloom. 

Seeds of love were planted deep within her heart, flourishing alongside her soul with each passing day. The soil of it being nurtured and fed with affection every time she cried of laughter with Fischl, everytime she fell asleep on Collei’s shoulder, and everytime they held each other tight as storms roared outside. 

“I love you, Fischl.” she spoke softly right before they headed inside. 

“Settle down everyone and gather around, for I hold a tale unlike any between my two lips!” Hu Tao reeled all the guests in with her cheerful yet mysterious voice and the ridiculous outfit she had on. 

“Prepare to laugh, prepare to cry, prepare to say ‘awwwww’ and clutch your pearls! These outlanders will bring you a touching story about a brave knight, and her beloved princess that she must save from the forces of evil.” 

With every sentence she pointed to a different audience member, making everyone giggle as Kokomi watched her with a loving gaze. 

Lastly, she pointed at herself and held the two pieces of fabric acting as a curtain in front of their small stage, “Yours truly, starring as their trusted companion. Enjoy!” 

Applause and whistles filled the house as the lights dimmed down. Thus, the play commenced.

When you first arrived in Mondstadt to help the knights of favonius bc they are lazy you also got introduced to Klee, at first you were shocked that a child was a knight.

She was immediately amazed by you, first of all you look so cool! Second of all you were very...uh.. bright.

She immediately ran up to you asking for your name.

You were immediately enamored with the cute child and decided that you would surprise adopt her.

When you two get closer:

No but seriously whenever she blows up fish in the lake you would just encourage her. Basically you stand beside the lake and laugh brightly while she blasts fish into oblivion.

Each time she sees you she always runs towards you expecting hugs!

She also loves playing with you whenever you can, mostly it involves fish blasting or searching for flowers.

She loves it when you braid her hair, especially when the two of you take a picnic and she makes a flower crown.

She really loves listening to you talking about all your fight stories, she will boast about you to the other knights about how cool and strong you are.

Whenever you two get something to eat and you yell “UMAI” in the beginning she is kinda shocked but soon after she joins in.

Whenever she eats anything and it tastes good she yells “UMAI” it has become a habit for her. The first time she did it people looked at her scared but she just kept going.

Whenever she is confinement she draws pictures of you and her together <3

She also likes to play games with you like tag and hide and seek, she also enjoys watching you fight.

You always make sure that she doesnt hurt herself nor cry, so that often leads towards her getting her way with you. (i mean bombing fishes and such)

When the two of you walk through Mondstadt she always asks for you to hold her, and who are you to deny that! You always place her on your shoulder while the two of you laugh brightly.

Now everytime you visit Qiqi you bring her Coconut milk, she will have this small cute smile on her face. Which makes you smile even more oh my how bright can you get?

You like to bring her to walk around Liyue, you always hold her hand so she doesn't get lost. People sometimes get scared because of your loud voice booming over anyone else's.

She likes to take picnics with you and Ganyu, it gives her this unfamiliar but happy feeling of family!

Qiqi is lowkey a matchmaker for you and Ganyu, she makes the two of you hold hands and while Ganyu lowkey dies with a red face your laugh is as bright as the sun.

Your bright and happy presence always manages to give Qiqi a small smile on her face.

Whenever she is sleepy while you two are away you pick her up and try to be as quiet as possible.

First time meeting:

In the beginning she didn't like you because she thought you drank alcohol, but then you just asked for a normal drink?? What, how is that possible…

When you found out that basically a kid was working in a winery, you thought you were drunk.

Like honestly why is a kid working with alcohol, anyways you decided to ignore him since y’know Genshin logic.

She was kind of rude in the beginning until you decided to just order some drink without alcohol, suddenly she was kind of you.

Anyways, you decided to spend time with the kid because your caring sibling side decided to act up.

When you two get closer:

You don’t drink alcohol whenever you are with her, she appreciates it so much but she doesn't say that ofc.

She really wants to go hunting with you as well, and when you show off your strength she will be so amazed :3

Just something cute like Childe and Zhongli are crushing on each other but they think the other doesn't share their feelings so both of them are being dumd and trying very hard to hide their feelings. Meanwhile, everyone knows they're in love with each other.

Zhongli knows he is being irrational, there is nothing in the world that could possibly bind an adeptus and a human together, nothing short of disaster and broken hearts, anyways. Of course, there are adepti that could argue with his stance, such as the law consultant Yanfei, who is the very product of such a connection. However, the vast difference between a mere law consultant an ex archon is omnipresent in his mind, and so is the fact that he is more than five thousand years older than a certain troublemaker. When he sips his painstakingly prepared tea, his face sours, the leaves leaving a bitter tinge on his tongue, over-boiled and somewhat stale. There went six hours of wasted kitchen labour, all due to his own knack for overthinking and contemplating. He had all the time in the world, after all, to drown in his own musings, even if Hu Tao was still yelling at him to do his duties and other earthly errands. No, Zhongli didn’t look down on those, quite the opposite. He had taken to loving the simple life of the human Zhongli, without the hassles of being Morax. Humanity, however, came with its cons, such as attraction and irrationality. Again, it wasn’t like he hadn’t loved as an Adeptus, madly so, perhaps, but this wasn’t the time for him to be arguing with himself. He simply had to put his desires on a leash. He took another sip of bitter tea.

There was no way Ajax liked him back, after all. He was young, a few millennia so, (yes, he isn’t about to stop repeating that to himself) and strong, quick witted, humorous, loud, adventurous- Everything that Zhongli had lost in the past thousand years of being Morax. A heavy sigh leaves his lips and he leans his chin into the inside of his palm. In times like these, it’s hard not to miss Jueyun Karst and the company of his kind, it’s in times like these when he is filled with confusion and lack of understanding involving the humans he so greatly adores. He wonders if the loss of his Gnosis led to the loss of some of the divine, whether it brought him closer to the earthly beings, which was why he found his heart squeezing so hard at the thought of ginger hair and aquamarine eyes.

A loud thud shakes Zhongli out of his reverie, the sliding door of the Wangsheng Funeral parlour slamming open to reveal Hu Tao’s gleaming eyes, as well as a very handsome yet petrified Snezhnayan. “Zhongli!” The woman coos, her hand holding an iron grip on the Harbinger’s wrist. “Someone needs your assistance.”

“Tartaglia.” Zhongli clears his throat, easing into his front of apathy despite his hammering heartbeat.

“Ah, Mr. Zhongli.” Childe laughs awkwardly, rubbing the back of his head in that telltale way that radiated tides of awkwardness that would put his elemental abilities to shame. “There is a death within the Fatui,” He’s lying. No one has died under his watch. “And we need to bury him, it’s too hot to transport him back to Snezhnaya as it is.” His stuttering voice is probably giving him out, but Hu Tao elbows his ribs so hard he almost gasps.

“Ah, what a tragedy!” The parlour owner throws a hand over her eyes. “Such honoured guests suffering a loss like that! Zhongli, this calls for your assistance. I am so busy and I’m afraid my knowledge in Snezhnayan burial customs is vastly limited, so feel free to take this on!” She gives Zhongli the most suspicious thumbs up known to mankind and sticks her tongue out, and just like she always comes and goes, she practically evaporates out of the room.

Childe is sweating. He is staring at Zhongli with wide eyes and a suspicious tingle in his stomach, a playback of Scaramouche’s words rolling in his brain like a jammed tape.

“Go short your stupid crush out. Don’t show your face in the Northern Bank until you are ready to act normal, fucking idiot. You’re slowing us down, and by the Tsaritsa, I’m not above ratting you out and having you demoted to an errand boy.”

Childe almost cringes at the memory of the aggression in the Sixth Harbinger’s voice. He is going to kill him. Childe Tartaglia Ajax is a massive coward, and he is about to be murdered by his superior because he has a crush on a six thousand year old adeptus that is too good for him and wouldn’t bat-

“How did they die?”

Childe’s brain is like a train about to derail. Zhongli is up now, boiling some tea that smells suspiciously much like Jasmine, just like Ajax prefers it. If he tries to do as much as think of a single thing, all he can do is visualise Zhongli’s golden eyes gleaming underneath the lanterns of that odd Liyuan festival that Childe did not exactly comprehend, be it for his lack of interest at the time, or his complete concentration on that rich voice that kept whispering tales to him about the lanterns and the dead and the local myths.

“There is no one dead.” Childe blurts out, now or never. To be frank, he is absolutely shitting it. This is harder than fighting in the Abyss, worse than getting his ass kicked repeatedly by Traveller and that flying chicken that followed him around all the time-

“I seem to have misunderstood.” Zhongli watches him confusedly, teapot hanging forgotten on one hand. Childe can almost visualise him making that very same tea in his home in Snezhnaya, with the raging blizzards going strong outside, his soothing voice telling tales of dragons and giant monsters to his baby siblings to entertain them for a lack of anything better to do in the catastrophic winter. “You do not need my assistance?”

“No. I mean, yes, but not in that way.” Childe grunts, rubbing his eyes with both hands, stood ten feet away from Zhongli because he simply can’t stand the way his body burns when their shoulders brush together. The ex archon continues to look completely lost, his lips slightly open and his brows furrowed in his weak attempt to grasp the situation. Childe is stubborn, ridiculously brave at most instances, but above all, he is an idiot. And like an idiot, he says: “Have you ever kissed a Snezhnayan?”

Zhongli stills, blinking stupidly, unable to tell whether this was another one of the Harbinger’s jokes that their generational and cultural gap didn’t allow him to understand. He places the teapot down. “Excuse me?”

Childe wants to smack himself across the face. He forces out a loud laugh. “No, that was a joke!” He can feel the hairs on the side of his head sticking to his face. If the Abyss could swallow him again, now was the time. “What I mean is…” Childe takes in a deep breath. “Will you go out on a date with me?”

Zhongli stares at the wall across him, way past Ajax, into the eyes of some unseen divine force that is absolutely messing with him right then. “Did Hu Tao put you up to this?” After all, she always told him he needed to get laid, but he never understood where exactly he was supposed to be reclining. Mortal language had taken to weird expressions over the centuries.

“No, God, no,” Childe shakes his hands defensively. “Alright, mr. Zhongli, I’m so into you I can’t sleep at night, and I have been like that since I first saw you walking by Wanmin Restaurant, when you were trying some local delicacy and doing your ridiculous, bourgeoise critique on the authenticity of the flavours-” Childe goes quiet, his rant dying amidst its blooming as he watched Zhongli’s eyes soften and his brows tense, an unmistakable redness spreading over the adeptus’ face. “Mr. Zhongli?”

“Ajax, stop.” Zhongli hasn’t felt this flustered in thousands of years. He isn’t sure what it is about this human that is so awfully endearing, but it’s making him sear and liquify from the inside. “I’ll go out with you. We need to discuss the place and time, as well as the attire and the mood of the overall meeting, since leaving things unclear leads to misunderstandings that can not be resolved without-”

Ajax’s smile is stretching so wide across his face that he fears it’s going to split, a sudden ego boost booming so hard into his chest that he feels like he could fight the entire Fatui army and win. He takes a few steps forward and puts his hands on the table in front of the ex archon, hovering slightly above him. “Leave it to me.” He leans in closer and Zhongli can smell the exotic perfume on his skin. “There’s only one question left.”

“What?” Zhongli treads carefully, his jaw setting when a gloved hand finds his chin and tips his head back, fixing their gazes together.

i was looking forward to including vigilant xiao watching over his crush the most 😭 it’s just an adorable sight to picture. he’s such an intimidating figure, it can’t help but melt your heart that he’s there to ensure you’re always safe. the main trick is writing the most self indulgent stuff, anon. that is what produces the best you have to offer because you’re having such a good time writing it.

it’s all because of the random zhongli dream anon 😭 i couldn’t get him out of my mind until i wrote a loooong fic for him. the idea of his darling being with him since the archon war days is my favorite! i’ve always had a soft spot for it, ever since i was trying to figure out what a yandere zhongli might look like back in november. it’s just... genuinely horrifying to imagine being stuck with that for thousands of years. especially when people view rex lapis so highly in liyue, darling feels even more alone on her festering feelings. there’s no relief to be had.

i think i’ll do a big ol headcanon post because the world for yan zhongli and his god darling is so big, i’ve given it a Lot of thought. but the main gist of it is how darling deals with the inaccurate portrayal of their history together. and of course, she interacts with others, since zhongli has the reassurance from the contract that she won’t try to escape. so there’s a lot of angst there. 😭

i’d love to write more for hu tao!! she is a character that i adore a lot. currently, i don’t have any ideas for her that would get me going, but once i see one or get hit with inspiration she’ll make a reappearance. i do have a few hu tao requests so hopefully those will help inspire me. AND ROSARIA... 🥺 WHAT A WOMAN. i want to learn more about her!! i’ll write for her when her stories and voice lines are all out, that way the characterization is more accurate. she captured my heart with that distant attitude and those listless eyes 🥰🥰

ah yes, welcome anon, to what could be considered heaven or help depending. if you were able to get hu tao then i’d say you’re in the latter camp (aside from having to grind for her ascension materials, that is pure suffering). it’s a fun game to get into during this quarantine/spotty lockdown time, so i hope you’ll enjoy your time with it! i’m glad that mihoyo releases content often enough to keep us well fed.

March Favorites

Its been 3 months since 2021 has started and so far all I’ve done is sleep, eat, watch, game, attend class repeat (I mean of course that’s the general idea). There are things that I have been doing this month unique from last months.. And this post is the list as to what I have been into lately. Specifically things that keep me sane despite being house arrest! (Not literally, just taking measures since the pandemic is still on going and please think 10x before going outside because health is more important)

The Return of the Superman: Wilbengers and Gunnavely

I know that a lot of people have been obsessed with this series already, maybe years before because I did watch some, like little clips and short videos from the one hour long episode but boy I just fell in love with these kids when I was able to watch Wilbengers trying to be convinced to speak English especially Bentley since he doesn’t know how to or in the process of learning. They are so cute and entertaining. I don’t really have a thing for kids tbh, I hate kids and I am actually hesitant on whether I should have children of my own but William and Bentley are so adorable and smart! As for Gunhoo and Naeun, I have been watching them for a long time now, I do watch the previews of their episodes and I just adore how Gunhoo is now speaking little by little and how Jinwoo is a little cutie. These kids are just so adorable that I can’t stop watching now that KBS did actually upload their one hour long episodes. 

Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares

Another show that I have been hooked up all day and night! I may not be obsessed with watching anime or series or kdramas as of the moment but Kitchen Nightmares is just pure entertainment!

The two pictures... these are actually not my favorite but I guess one of the unique out of all the episodes, the first one is a very entertaining and infuriating one to watch since I bet you know why xD. They became famous in the internet because of their idk personality I guess. They did standout because of their entertaining factor, and Amy please this is not a hate post just stating facts lady. The second one is probably one of my favorites, it’s so soothing and relaxing to watch, it is realistic and inspiring. I really do hope that Momma Cherri is living the dream because of her humility and the ability to take criticism and most importantly, the willingness to learn and to adapt. These two episodes are by far the most contrasting out of all the episodes and they are special in a negative and positive way respectively. I may continue to watch KN because it does not only entertain me but it reminds me of the dream that I always wanted to chase despite of choosing a program not related to it. 

Genshin Impact: Moment of Bloom

I really saved the best for Last! This will be really long tho... So this is about Genshin Impact, the game that I didn’t knew that will change my life and change my routine (really, it became a daily routine to check this game out). I do hope that I still control myself because of this game but anyway, I started playing this game almost 6 months ago (I believe its October, 2020) and ever since I have been playing non stop. So this post is not really about how I became a GI player or what is the story as to why I play it rn but it is focused more on the character above, Hu Tao. During 1.2, leakers did release information about her and even if that time I just got Zhong li (it was during Albedo’s banner when I found out that she is one of the characters that will be released in 1.3) and I got hyped and I said I am going to pull of this girl (even if I really like husbandos but still these girls /waifus if you may/ are cute and their playstyle are interesting so why not get them). So I did give myself a goal that I would be saving for her, (this is during 1.2 so we don’t really have a clear idea as to what comes in the future), then Ganyu’s banner came up and I get to test her and I love her playstyle I was like she would be a good support to any character, mostly for Elemental Reactions so I did pull for Ganyu and got her on the 81st pull. Usually I get characters one banner apart so it was Zhongli then Albedo’s banner passed (then I didn’t get him cuz I didn’t pull for the guy) then Ganyu. So my dilemma was what if after Xiao (because it was confirmed that Xiao was coming on 1.3), then it’s Hu Tao then I’ll have no primos left and her banner will past and I don’t have her. One more thing, the Promotional Banner has its rules, there is 50/50 where you have to beat it to get the Promotional Character, and if you don’t then you’ll get an off banner 5 star which are not promotional and can appear to the permanent banner anytime. So when 1.3 was announced, there is no signs of Hu Tao, however, the banner duration of the two announced banner are only 2 weeks, and they did predicted that there will be a 3rd banner which appears to be correct. There are some reason as to why there were 3 banners in this update, maybe because Mihoyo avoided Hu Tao during the whole month of February because of the Taboo or whatever Cultural Reason as to why they cannot talk about death or words related to that. So after February, which is March, that is when they did release Hu tao and boy I was excited but nervous and scared because what if she won’t come home and things like that lingered in my head. Thoughts like what if I get an off banner or I won’t be able to reach the pity etc.. So I had doubts on getting her. During the release day, my friends went to my world so that they can support me and then we went to Venti’s statue and offered Zhong Li (yes, I do believe in that ritual because it sometimes work) and then I do have 12 Intertwined fates and 3k Primogems. I did sat on the statue and do a single wish and blue appeared and I was really nervous that time because I don’t know what to expect then I pulled once more and finally the gold glow appeared, my hear was racing because an off banner might appear and I closed my eyes expecting an off banner 5 star... then the picture above appeared and I was shaking and the adrenaline is so high and I told my friends I GOT HER AHHH and we are all panicking and happy and excited. This is probably one of the luckiest moments of my life (I do hope in real life to I am lucky...) and so the current main got backseated and up until this day I am using Hu tao as my main DPS. She is worth it and even if her weapon is not the signature one (the one made for her), she still does big damage and I am just amazed as to how lucky I am... One of the most memorable moments after that event last December where I pulled for Zhongli but got jean instead then tried to pull for more because I have spare primos and finally another gold glow appeared and I was shaking at that time as well... Good times. I do hope that in the future, I will still be as lucky as this. (Also I am F2PBTW, I did plan on buying some affordable stuff like the Welkin Moon but I just trusted my fate and whatever comes, I should accept is with my whole heart)

Reading, dailies, RP?

Short cute list for a short cute me - or at least that’s what Sir tells me, i’mma cutie. So i roll with it.

Aaaanyways.

i read my two chapters! The only reason i’m reading this book, as i told Sir last night in bed as we were doing our end-of-day roundup to each other, was because i want to know who killed the fucking fairy - that’s all i care about. i don’t care about the MC or her witchbitch aunt or her (admittedly sweet and precious) 11 year old daughter who is literally a 90 yo woman in a prepubescent child’s body. i don’t care a bout the vampire or the werewolf, or whomever the MC ends up with. i don’t care about any of it. i just want to know who done the deed. 

i’m 50/50 on whether or not i even want to continue the series, tbh. Could move on to the Powder Mage series. Perhaps The Locked Tomb series. Alpha & Omega series. Keeper's Chronicles. Gemini. Kingson Pride. Kingston Cycle. i have so many choices. Sigh.

Got in and did my dailies, managed to get two rolls and...

i got QIQI?! Ok i ain't even mad about it, i wanted her and could never roll her but HOT GOT DAMN i got her now~! :D ♡♡♡ i’m so happy, i love her she’s a new member of The Short And Cute And Adorable And Bamf club i’m building. xD Her and Diona are headcanon besties. Klee would be part of this club - if i had her. Maybe if her banner ever rolls around again i’ll get lucky. But for now, Qiqi is mine. No Hu Tao though. Sad. But that’s ok!

Forgot to talk about the sushi i had yesterday! The Chinese food was a bento  box from the local place in town that got delivered, it had little sushi in it, california rolls? i think? i don’t know sushi very well - in fact, this is the very first time i’ve had it that wasn’t a weird very poor quality buffet place that tasted very bad and made me sick. This however was GOOD oh my goodness. i enjoyed it! UwU tasty sushi, i like? Sushi? Wild. Absolutely wild.

Did some cleaning yay. Got the garbage in the bedroom changed, and incidentals picked up and thrown away and whatnot. Sir also took out a bunch of trash, which was great, starting tomorrow we start working on That Fucking Living Room where all the gottverdammt boxes are. Ugh. Too many boxes. Too many. Gives me bad claustrophobic anxiety just going in there. x_x

On the RP front, i didn’t get RP done, however, i did get some new spellsies! Yay~ UwU wards and such and things. Going to have to actually RP setting that stuff up tomorrow.

i think that’s about everything i did today, tbph.

Food: A Feeling a bit peckish, but we’ve got a cookie in the oven so that’ll top me off, and everything was tasty today. Liquid: A Did all the drinking required, cranberry juice, water, coffee, energy coffee, and a bit of C4. Pain: C Headache was pretty raunchy, not quite bad enough for More Than Normal Meds but hrm, not great, and the normal gamut of pain things in the cold, joints ache and hands and then there’s the probable uti that i’m working hard on eliminating, lungs were a bit gunky too. Brain: B Focus, again, as per usual, is my struggle, trying to keep all the threads together as they scatter like kittens in a ball pit (bad idea, do not do this) and then there’s the omnipresent anxiety and stress that lurks over my every movement. 

There were a few times i got quite lightheaded and dizzy. So there’s that.
