Q1. Qual o nome do seu personagem? Há alguma razão por trás da escolha?

O nome de Dani foi escolhido por sua avó paterna. Seu pai, Yunoh, deixou que isso acontecesse mais em respeito à mãe do que por vontade própria. Doyeon [도연] significa madura e responsável por natureza, a avó achou que seria um bom nome para a segunda neta, considerando a realidade em que vivia. Já Dani, o nome pelo qual se apresenta — por ser mais fácil para os estadunidenses pronunciarem — também não foi escolhido à toa, significa deus é meu juiz e é assim que Dani pensa, apesar de não ter religião. Ambos os nomes são unissex e ela gosta disso.  

Q2. Quais os objetivos dela em Eden?

Procurar o pai que está desaparecido há quase um ano. Dani é jornalista investigativa e não abriu mão da profissão para se tornar alguém invisível em Eden, como seria mais fácil. Ao contrário, ela usa sua profissão e os artigos impactantes no Papiro Daily para desviar a atenção do que realmente faz: caçar vampiros. Além disso, sua profissão a coloca em contato com pessoas que têm muitas informações e ela sempre pode usar a de desculpa de que está investigando um caso de corrupção para sumir por dias ou justificar alguns pequenos delitos.  

Q3. Cite, pelo menos, 3 inspos que combinam com seu char.

1. OS WINCHESTER, não tem como falar só de um porque a história dela e da família é uma mistura do que os Winchester foram – até certo ponto – na série Supernatural. Ela é uma mistura de Dean e Sam Winchester, com personalidade própria e uma vida mais “comum”. 

2. GALE WEATHERS, ela é bem entrona, principalmente nas pesquisas de campo, como a jornalista da franquia Scream. A única diferença é que Gale é uma jornalista para a TV e Dani para o jornal. As duas tem personalidades parecidas, podem ser invasivas, incompreendidas, sinceras até demais e resilientes, porém Dani é menos extrovertida que Gale. 

3. LEE HUIGYEOM, assim como a policial de Bad and Crazy, Dani é teimosa e corre atrás do que quer saber, sem abaixar a cabeça  — na medida do possível — para as outras pessoas. As duas tem esse senso de justiça muito forte, mas o que as difere é que Dani não consegue e nem acredita que o certo seja ser íntegra o tempo todo. 

Q4. Descreva seu personagem em 5 aesthetics.

Preto e branco. Noite estrelada. Livros com temáticas sobrenaturais. Músicas tristes. Frases de sitcoms. 

Q5. O que você gostaria de explorar com um personagem humano vivendo em meio a vampiros?

Por ser uma caçadora de vampiros eu queria explorar ao máximo essa parte dela, principalmente porque Dani só é uma caçadora porque acredita ser uma maldição familiar. No fundo, por mais que não admita, ela acha que desvendar os mistérios que envolvem sua família por gerações pode livrar tanto ela quanto a irmã e seus futuros sobrinhos da realidade que é ser um Doh morador de Eden. Também quero explorar a relação dela com vampiros no geral, porque ela odeia eles — por tudo o que fizeram com sua família — e desenvolver plot twists em sua história, principalmente no que diz respeito à família.  

Q6. Seu personagem sabe da existência de criaturas da noite em Eden? Se sim, como ele lida com essa informação? Caso não, como imagina que será sua reação ao descobrir?

De início, Dani não acreditava em vampiros, achava que as coisas que avó fazia e contava eram alucinações ou algo do tipo, afinal, o pai sempre ensinou a ela e a irmã que sua avó era irresponsável e que as meninas deviam ficar longe da matriarca. No entanto, depois de presenciar a morte da avó por um vampiro, não teve mais dúvidas. Por mais que a ficha tenha demorado a cair e o medo lhe dominado por muitos anos, quando o pai passou a deixá-la de lado, junto da irmã, para se tornar um caçador em tempo integral, ela teve de lidar com as mudanças e o fato do pai estar obcecado atrás de vampiros. 

Q7. Quais clãs você acha que seu personagem poderia se encaixar para um possível Abraço?

Apesar de ter a vontade de conquistar pontos para que isso aconteça, porque acho que seria muito interessante, não sei ao certo. Ao mesmo tempo que vejo ela no clã Brujah, por Dani ter a essência rebelde e características dos membros do clã, também vejo ela como uma assassina dos Assamitas, por exemplo, indo contra tudo o que sempre defendeu como humana — libertando seu verdadeiro eu.

Finally watching Bad & Crazy (just finished ep 10) and why - WHY??? - does no one ship Suyeol/Gyeongtae or Suyeol/Yunho??? Why is it all Suyeol/K??

Dunno who in the Bad & Crazy fandom needs to hear this but relationships within a System very much exist.

It's weird and borderline ableist to fetishize Sooyeol & K or make them separate people (as in separate bodies) solely for the purpose of shipping.

But seeing them in a romantic light is not inherently wrong or problematic.

This is my favorite moment of Suyeol and his family and here's why

So we all saw how he basically drowned himself in that river trying to find the necklace to no avail. He was wanted by everyone, Huigyeom left him to walk back on foot alone, and he's practically cornered. So the only place, the last place in the world that would always welcome him is his mom's place. It showed how much he loved and trusted his family.

His mom cooked something for him, because come on that's the momest thing moms do. But unlike usual meals when Asians eat rice, she made him SOUP. Now I don't know if Korea is anything like my country (which is also in Asia), but for me, you always eat rice. You only eat soup when you're ill and weak and your mom coddle you with soft food. Which is exactly what Suyeol's mom did, probably because he looked like a wet rag doll when he came to her. It was so. So. Sweet.

I have to get over the sheer AMOUNT of POUT in these five seconds, because I swear I absolutely adore his expression. It was hilarious at first because he was acting like a child who just scraped his knee when playing with friends and ran back to mommy crying. He even sniffed between words. But then after that, it was kind of heart warming, because Suyeol NEVER let anyone else see this side of him.

Whenever he was with people at work or Do Yu Gon, he's always snakey, slick and so goddamn fake. Like the way he laughed and bowed to Do Yu Gon gave me goosebumps. But when he's with his mom, he could be as childish and vulnerable and pouty and sniffy as he wanted, because she's his mom and he doesn't have to put on a cover in front of her. Every man is a child in his mother's eyes, no matter how old they are.

And he told her not to worry if anything happens later, and asked her about the debt. He's scared that he wouldn't be able to provide for her and his brother anymore. Sure, they had their own business, but I'm pretty sure Suyeol was the one making it all happen. The debt could even come from Dong yeol's previous attempts at opening food shops, and Suyeol paid it all off. He's having flashbacks of the horrible time when they had to deal with the debts, and I can see how he wanted to protect his family.

And God, when his mom asked if Dong yeol was getting into troubles again and he POUT SO HARD and said no?? 🙏🙏🙏 I've never seen anything so cute, heart-warming and yet so hilarious. I want to hug him and laugh in his face at the same time.

He's a CHILD when he's alone with mommy, and I LOVE THAT ABOUT THEIR RELATIONSHIP.

And this? A giant man curling down into a ball of tears to hug his tiny mom? TREASURE. Like he could be so tall and in front of his mom, he's still her tiny baby. Even the way he croaked "mom" as he went in to hug her (in a pathetically comical way 😂) made my heart melt. It was adorable.

I LOVE how when Suyeol's the most vulnerable, he always had his family by his side.

Andrei can't be X/Yunho because 1) I like Andrei and I hate Yunho and b) In the teaser of episode 10, Yong is worried because someone hurt Andrei. She asks Huigyeom "Who are you after? Who is that scumbag?". She thinks is the same person who was with Andrei before she lost contact with him. Who they are after = Yunho. Then considering is not another teaser made to screw me up: Andrei ≠ Yunho.

sexuality headcanon for k and kj. where as k is obviously straight/heterosexual because of suyeol who clearly is into huigyeom, so is k. it is clearly projected that way.

however, with kj. he, since becoming human is struggling with it quite heavily. for now kj is portrayed as demisexual due to the fact that he needs an emotional bond with people before he can actually go any further than hugging or anything else with those he is close with or actually like.

bad and crazy as a homoerotic suspense thriller instead of copaganda action comedy:

it's a slightly problematic gay suspense drama with its whole chest, like orphan black and killing eve. the surreal fight club type dream sequence and the first couple eps in general is a consistent aesthetic tone. the style is all different but the plot is the same until the psychiatrist is introduced and then it goes in a completely different direction.

sooyeol is a closeted corrupt cop and k is the manifestation of his guilt and repressed sexuality and starts to show up and beat him up in sexy ways every time he does something bad just like in the show. explore the mechanics of k appearing in sooyeol's life like what do other ppl see when he's doing that and maybe a ghost is possessing sooyeol's construct of k to try to vicariously avenge his murder or something. it's more about the inherent immorality of being a cop, which bnc addressed but kinda ignored cuz it's still copaganda. sooyeol grows a spine and accepts that he's bi and gets fired from being a cop and then k disappears and that's the A plot. huigyeom is his ex who he genuinely loved so him working hard at repairing their friendship after she basically dumped him for being immoral is a major part of the show. he regains her respect and he becomes a better son to his mother and actually starts working at his brother's pizza shop at the end maybe?

the other plot is that druglord yong and narcotics detective huigyeom have a killing eve and my name style cat and mouse b plot going on. the dynamic is that yong is villanelle-esque about violence but personality wise she's the normal logical rational one and huigyeom is kind of crazy with risk taking and action scenes. everyone thinks the russian criminal mastermind is andrei but it's revealed to be yong and she's a little obsessed with huigyeom and sends her all the flowers and letters and stuff that k does in bnc. they get tons of fight scenes together and after the congressman plot is over huigyeom secretly teams up with yong to try to uncover her boss being corrupt and gets into trouble. the psychiatrist is a main villain of the show but it's a drug related thing under yong who is the big bad. he manipulates children into doing drug stuff and betrays yong and kills andrei, trying to take over her whole drug business. maybe huigyeom's boss is in cahoots with him too idk. yong and huigyeom bond because they have both been betrayed and yong lets herself get arrested because huigyeom asks her to trust her. the show ends with huigyeom breaking her out and then they run away together?
