Because I wrote a chapter of The Anthropocene Reviewed about the history of Diet Dr Pepper, the Dr Pepper Snapple Company reached out to me one day to inquire a brand relationship.

I am not one to turn my nose up at Big Soda money, so I agreed to meet with them. Two nice people showed up on zoom and they said what kind of relationship with Dr Pepper would interest you, and I said:

"I would like for Dr Pepper to be the official sponsor of humanity's relationship with the moon." My idea was that Dr Pepper and I would share stories from history about how humanity has understood and imagined the moon, and then at the end there would be a little tag line that was like, "Dr Pepper: Sponsoring Humanity's Relationship with the Moon Since 2023."

I still think this is a great idea. Who needs an Official Soda more than humanity's relationship with the moon???

Then they asked me if I would, like, make tiktoks about how much I liked Diet Dr Pepper, and I said of course not that would be extremely boring.

Anyway, they never got back to me.

Absolutely love the idea that it was April who got the boys super into snow days.

Like, pre-April, they probably would view the days as miserable, since as turtles they’re likely more susceptible to the cold and back then they probably had much less to keep warm with.

The cold altogether was just never good to them - and then April comes around and teaches them how to make a snowman. And when it’s done, she pelts them with snowballs. And suddenly, the cold is now fun, and they might still be shivering, but now they’re smiling too.

Also I maybe doing some writing for this au. Okay not maybe. I'm doing it. But it's slow progress. (And when I'm done with the first chapter I still have to translate it into english. Rereading trigun cause of the reprint,, and in his wanted poster. One of the first things the audience sees of vash, it says he might be 24. VASH IS SUSPECTED TO BE 24. Yet he goes through so much grief and happiness, and he tries his best to hide it all. To be a picture of strength, but he is only 24. (Yes I know he is 150)

And like going through hardships, and being 24 myself it's really like man. I have carried this same grief as he has, faked a smile as he has, and had those moments of happiness that vash has. And that's what being 24 has been like.

Its wild, when he becomes Erik's he will be 26, and have tried to hide from who he was in the start of maximum. Vash's grief is soooo understandable, he is only 24 when trigun starts

So It was kinda stupid to ask but any ideas of how the interaction will go off as🥹🙏? (like what kind of interaction you think it will be between him and other angels-)​

Honestly? Interaction with other angels usually depends on if they know him and what he did + how they react to it. He does avoid interaction with them in general unless he has no other choice to. The only reason why he wants to help the Guardian Angel is because he feels pretty upset over the fact that the others didn’t even really try to help them.

At the end of the day, does he care what they think of him? No, not at all. He stands by what he believes and what he does and will die on that hill. He does tend to avoid and ignore questions and mentioning of what he did and continues talking as if they didn’t just say that.

But he does just overall come out as polite, almost gentleman like I guess.

Naruto Modern Fantasy AU - Bijuu & Patrons

Order and Chaos are two of the oldest divinities and are responsible for the creation of the systems that exist within the Nexus (my world). Respectively, they're famously known for the creation of the Order of Angels & Life (Order) and Hell & Death (Chaos). Other achievements include the Seven Heavenly Virtues and the Seven Sins (Partially out of commission).

At an early part in their life, Order and Chaos formed an understanding relationship that developed into romantic feelings. The result of that romance and their union were the bijuu, their nine (related) children. Very soon after Shukaku was created, they separated and began their long-standing and bitter feud. In addition to their together children, they each have their own offspring, the Goddess of Life and Creation & the God of the Dead (prev the God of the Dead, Death and Decay; alt title as King of the Dead).

In the older days, each Bijuu was worshipped and had devoted followers because they were so important, and at the time were the only minor gods around. Eventually, after the creation of the New Gods, the Bijuu lost relevance and were in danger of fading away. A deal was struck so that they could maintain their form and power but they had to have a patron that they fused their soul with. In rare cases, the patrons are willing participants who offer themselves in exchange for help. In most cases, the patron is an unwilling sacrifice, pushed by devoted followers (or power-hungry men) who want to keep their god alive. In the very special case of Mito Uzumaki who offers herself to keep Kurama alive by making a deal that she'll honor his wishes in exchange for power and safety,,, she absolutely does not follow through. This builds up decades of resentment, especially when he is passed down to Kushina who does the same, which starts off his rocky relationship with Naruto.

In another very special case, Rin, who is forcibly made a patron to Isobu, dies within the early stages of his soul intertwining with hers. Later she is resurrected, as the initial soul intertwining process was botched, and Isobu and Rin's souls are now one in the same. Meaning that instead of switching out consciousnesses like a regular patron and god can do, they share it. After the resurrection, Rin also displays physical features of Isobu such as red sclera and protruding spikes.

Patrons receive their patron god's powers and abilities in exchange for either sacrifices or completing quests/tasks, often they're centered around the patron god's title. For example, Matatabi requires Yugito to exorcise and guide spirits/ghosts to the afterlife. In Killer B's case, him and Gyuuki are just vibing. Gyuuki has a historically good relationship with B's family and all of his patrons volunteered willingly, so he freely exchanges his power. Fuu was unwilling sacrificed, but thankfully Chomei adores her enough to provide her power for protection, even helping her leave her followers.

On Demons

If you ask any denizens of the New World about how many moons there are, the answer is so easy you will get a few puzzled looks; clearly there is only one. But ask on the opposite part of the world, the Old World, and the answer may not be so simple.

Around two hundred and fifty years ago, what is now known as The Rise of the Second Moon occurred. Suddenly a new, bigger, redd-er moon rose from the horizon, and with it, unholy abominations started appearing. For the first time in ages, mortal races and dragonkind had to fight together to repel the outwordly creatures, but it wasn't an easy fight.

The creatures, named only "demons" for lack of a better word or understanding, didn't truly have a physical form, manifesting as plagues, thoughts, curses; extra-dimensional unable to be perceived unless already affected by them. Unable to affect them directly in any way, people from the Old World developed the first Seals: a way to constrain them in a physical space, usually using as a catalyst the purest form of one of the Divine Elements that build the world (Fire being the most common).

It took almost a decade, but Mortalkind was able to fend off the demonic invasion, putting in place the biggest Seal that has ever been made: Stopping the Second Moon's rotation permanently under the horizon, so it couldn't open its gate again. Without a way to send the demons already sealed back to where they came from, but understanding the huge power they possessed if released, the location of these seals it's an extremely well-kept secret and one that a lot of people hope it's been lost in time. Those seals can be everything, from buried cathedrals with a pool of Divine water buried in it's chapel, to small necklaces with a spark of pure fire inside them.

But unfortunately, that magic is old and outdated, and extra-dimensional beings are not easily restrained. And hundreds of years later, when people re-discovered those artifacts and tried to use their power, a new type of seal was made. Demons sealed within human bodies.

There are only a few corrupted mortals like that. Those are known as the Blue Death (Val, pictured first), The Wrathful One (Second Pic) and the White Wolf / King of Nightmares (not drawn yet)

This retrospective examination could shed light on potential patterns and repetitions during similar astrological alignments. Tonight, I plan to delve into my old journals to decipher recent experiences, dreams, and what might lie ahead.

As the celestial bodies dance in their intricate patterns above, I find myself navigating the ebb and flow of my own emotions, seeking alignment with the cosmic energies that surround me.

Today, my emotions are tumultuous. One moment, I’m optimistic and daydreaming about the future; the next, I’m overwhelmed with grief. At times, I’m serene, while other moments find me restless. Amidst all this, there’s a yearning for profound love and romance, though I realize it’s more about the idea than a specific person. Not being involved with anyone feels right, despite the abundance of love within me. I’m aware of my worth and choose solitude over being lonely in an unworthy environment with an unworthy man.
