special act 5: stolen cheesecakes

It was only Y/N’s third official night living with Sunghoon, and things were going too smoothly—until she committed the ultimate betrayal.

She ate the last two bites of his leftover cheesecake.

His cheesecake. The one he specifically wrote “HOON’S ONLY!!!” on with a permanent marker directly on the container.

He stood by the fridge that night like a heartbroken man, staring into the empty container like it had personally betrayed him.

“You…Lolove…” he turned dramatically toward her, container in hand, “you ate it.”

Y/N, in her cozy oversized hoodie, blinked innocently from the couch. “What?”

He pointed an accusatory finger. “My cheesecake. The one with my name. Written. Twice.”

She tried not to laugh. “I was craving something sweet…”

“I was saving that for my post-shower dessert and emotional comfort snack,” he sulked, slamming the fridge shut softly (because he was still gentle even when being dramatic).

“You had seven bites yesterday!” she protested.

“Exactly. I was emotionally attached.” He marched off to the bedroom in silence, hoodie flapping behind him like a betrayed prince.

Y/N, of course, felt mildly guilty. But also…it was just cheesecake. She knew he’d get over it. Probably. Maybe.

But when she climbed into bed later, he was already turned away from her, dramatically curled up under the blanket like a burrito of betrayal.

“Hoon…” she whispered, poking at his side.

No response.

“Loloveee…” she kissed his shoulder gently.

He shifted further away and mumbled, “Don’t touch me, dessert thief.”

Y/N snorted and kissed the back of his head anyway. “I’ll make it up to you in the morning.”

The next morning

Sunghoon was still firmly burrito-ed in bed when Y/N woke up. The early sunlight bathed the bedroom in soft gold. And she had the perfect idea.

She tiptoed under the covers, inching herself closer to his body until she reached his bare torso. With all the stealth she could muster, she slowly slid her head under his shirt from the bottom—popping her head right out of the neckline like an adorable goblin.

“Good morniiiing,” she beamed, grinning up at his sleepy face.

Startled, he blinked down at her in disbelief. “What the—how did you—”

Before he could finish, Y/N peppered kisses across his collarbones, neck, jawline, and the center of his chest. “I’m sorry I ate your cheesecake,” she mumbled between kisses. “Please don’t divorce me.”

Sunghoon tried to stay annoyed, but her nose nuzzling under his chin and her breath on his skin made it impossible.

“This is cheating,” he mumbled, eyes fluttering shut.

She giggled, peppering more kisses across his stomach. “I’ll buy you ten cheesecakes. And label them all. With sparkles.”

Sunghoon sighed dramatically, cradling the back of her head as she nestled closer. “Fine. You’re forgiven. But only because you’re cute and warm and kind of smell like strawberries,Lolove.”

She grinned and kissed the corner of his mouth. “You’re such a baby.”

He wrapped his arms around her, “I’m your baby-”pulling her fully on top of him under the covers. “And you’re mine.”

They stayed like that for a while—soft giggles under the sheets, sleepy cuddles and kisses, cheesecake wars temporarily forgotten in the warmth of shared blankets and stolen morning peace.

But mostly y’all cuddle at one of your houses. He’s so awake and hyper that he can’t stay still but two minutes into the cuddle sesh he’s gone. He drools all over you but you don’t care, and you’ll gladly kiss him awake when it’s time to go

He mainly clings onto your side, like he just clamps himself onto your waist or arm and will just stay there! He also likes being held by you but that’s only for special occasions

Like random he just walks up to you; “fineee since you wanna whine so much I guess we could cuddle.” You didn’t even say anything before he spoke up he was just to shy to admit he wanted to cuddle

He big spoons you but what he really loves is resting his head on your chest and wrapping his arms around you, You play with his hair and call him ‘your baby’ and at that point he doesn’t even try to stop it. He will deny it later tho👍

The only cuddling he really does PDA wise is letting you rest on him. He doesn’t care abt all the teasing his gunna get if your tired he doesn’t care he will be a pillow. Again he will deny it later even though there were witnesses

Never will he ever ask to cuddle, it’s way too embarrassing to ask you he’d rather just curl into a ball on top of you and wait for you to acknowledge him, he always lays on top of you even if he’s bigger or smaller than you he doesn’t care. He draws shapes on your arms while he waits for attention, he also likes when you pat his head-

Once you finally engage with him he was just start TALKINGG, about anything! When he’s comfortable he talks! About his day n such and sometimes he goes “oh do you wanna say something? No? Ok…blah blah blahhh” you don’t mind his yapping at all though

If you try hugging him in public or pulling him in he will just look away timidly and softly push off, hopeing no one sees his red face~

He tries cuddling you literally everywhere. He can’t go one second without a cuddle- he could be in the middle of shopping or something and he will just stop, turn around and cling onto you, then after a minute he will get off and act like nothing happened

If you guys r just hanging out at your house and y’all decide to cuddle uhm, your going to have to pick the position cuz he can not make up his mind- honestly he just sprawls out and let’s you do whatever, normally you just hold him which he’s chill with

Also if you don’t give him nose kisses or play with his hair while cuddling he’s gunna be madddd!

He gives you hugs n love but cuddling is rare but when it does happen it lasts HOURS. Like 4 full hours I’m being Fr. He holds you close to his chest and just stays there, he doesn’t even fall asleep he’s fully awake and he remembers every moment!

He waits all day for you both to have free time so you could just talk and cuddle and he will get impatient in you take too long, he’s been waiting all day ofc he’s gunna get impatient; “y/n hurry up!!!” “Be PATIENT!” “UGHHH”

When y’all cuddle he always hides his face in your hair or neck and he gets cold like really easily so when he starts getting a little cold he tightens his arms around you hoping for you to bring warmth to him

He is obsessed with cuddles but if he asked for them all the time he would feel like he’s bothering you, WHICH HES NOT!

He tries to figure out if your busy in any way ; “sooo y/n, you doing anything?” “Uhm no?” “Cool…cool…” “…do you wanna cuddle~!” “Yeah” you can tell what he wants without him having to ask which he loves

He cuddles by tucking under your chin and basically hiding in the neck, when you cuddle it’s nap time for him so you have a sleeping boy hiding in your neck while softly snoring, you comment about his snoring later and he got embarrassed 😔

Tanaka✿

He normally only cuddles late at night when he’s still hype asf and needs to calm down, so he just throws himself onto you-

He obviously uses your chest as a pillow so he wraps his hands round your waist as well, you could feel him nuzzling into your chest while he whispers something about you being so hot (as usual)

On a serious note he finds is so cute when you drag your thumb over his cheeks in an attempt to calm him down, he always grabs your hand and kisses it before actually calming down.

TOUYA Relationship Headcanons

Alright well a new hyper fixation happened so i'm here to write for Touya, also i didn't check this for errors

-no matter in what way you two have met, it makes you pretty special to have won him over enough to be chill around you

-despite his casual demeanor, he is never chill at all actually 😭

-but thankfully despite how much he tried to hide it he pretty much is an open book when you get to know him because he trauma dumps lmfao

- his trauma with his dad made him an attention whore and will be satisfied if he gets the attention he needs but if he feels threatened by the things that make him feel insecure, he'll act out

-this means he is a jealous boy and will act out if he thinks he will lose your attention

-i know a lot of people see him as a fuck boy but i don't think he would cheat unless he was hurt or thought he was being cheated on

-..mostly because he is super selective about the people he lets close so he doesn't like the idea of hoeing around.

-he also doesn't think it's cute to have no morals (ironic i know) but he is annoyed by people who act randomly without plan or thought

-he's a little bit emotionally stunted but that doesn't mean he doesn't understand anyone's feelings, it just means he doesn't know when to put other people's feelings before his own

-he doesn't really have a huge grudge against pda or physical affection and would probably always have his hands on you in some way

-he is very protective over the few good things he has in life, including you and would see it as out of the question to have you in danger

-he would go bonkers if you got hurt by anyone, anything

-uses his body warmth to keep you warm when you are cold/sick

-he doesn't know how to deal with a lot of situations like you being in distress or being sick, but he's not dumb so he'll use his resources (he'll ask his bff spinner for advice or in any case he'll google it- !)

When you first appeared in the HQ as the new emotion representing love, Ennui honestly wouldn’t care. You were just another emotion, nothing special, she might even find you a little annoying. Something about the way you always seemed so hyper and talkative kind of pissed her off. You were just always so…. out there.

“You care too much about things”

However, as time went by, and Ennui got more used to your presence, she would tolerate you more and more. You were an extrovert (unlike her), and talked a lot to everyone, including her, causing her to slowly start getting to know you more. She even started to find your company…. quite nice. You would lay on the couch beside her as she scrolled on her phone, maybe even playing with her hair a little, or snuggling up to her. And even though she did find your flirtations to be a bit irritating, a small blush could still be seen on her cheeks.

Once the purple emotion came to the realization that she liked you, after some time of knowing you, she wouldn’t know what to do. She had never been in this situation before, and especially not with someone as vibrant and romantic as you. Ennui wouldn’t wanna admit to crushing on you, she would keep it to herself and try to act casually, although you did notice that she was avoiding eye contact a little more than usual.

The way you found out that she liked you was probably accidental. She might have fallen asleep on the couch whilst playing on her phone, and mumbled something in her sleep.

“Mmh… they are so flirty and annoying… but they’re so cute… ugh, why do I want them so bad?”

Then she went back to mumbling stuff in French. You, Anxiety, Envy and all the other emotions at the console just stood there, mouths wide open like a fish, and eyes as round as plates. When Ennui woke up a little later you took her somewhere private to talk about it, and boy was she embarrassed. It’s super rare to see Ennui look anything other than bored, but when you told her what she had said in her sleep, she looked totally frozen in place and flustered as hell. She had basically just told you that she likes you in front of the whole headquarters… yikes. Luckily, the feelings where returned<3

When you two finally started dating it would be like a super hyper and chill girlfriend duo. You would always be gushing about romance and love, talking a bunch and all that, while she would listen and nod along.

She takes sneak photos of you and keep them in a special album on her phone, I’m sorry-

Ennui would secretly really enjoy it when you got touchy with her, she might roll her eyes, or groan, but she actually loves it. Whenever you cuddle up with her, give her kisses or play with her hair, she feels all warm inside, and a small smile can be seen on her face. I also think she would find it sweet if you braided her hair, it’s not like she has the energy to do it herself anyway, it’s waaaay too much work. That girl doesn’t even pull her socks all the way up, like c’mon-

You guys play games on her phone, I hc that she is kinda obsessed with candy crush.

I feel like the only things she truly shows interest in openly is her phone, and you.

Ennui often tells you that you’re overly sweet, and kinda tease you about it. Like, not in a mean way, she just points out how romantic and all you are, and comperes you to a cupcake or something.

“Mon Dieu, you’re always so sweet, it’s sickening. You’re like a little walking cupcake, all giggly and cute”

Sometimes she kind of feels bad for how little effort she puts into anything, especially with you being so charming and romantic, so she would try her best to put in a little extra work. She’ll probably call you some pet-names in French, like mon amour, or mon chéri. That, and she’ll make sure to give you some hugs whenever she can, like she’ll wrap her arms around your waist from behind whenever you’re both standing by the console.

She loooves to lean on you!

Ennui isn’t usually phased by your flirting, she finds it cute and kinda cheesy. She might roll her eyes or smile a little, but sometimes, when you say something that really gets to her, she’ll stiffen up, her eyes go wide and she gets a dark blush across her face. I don’t think Ennui’s usually that blushy, but if you’re lucky, and use the right words, you get to see it from time to time. <33

it was one of the rare weekends where the bau team members were all off work. but of course they were together, all at rossi’s enjoying a weekend just chilling together, loving their family dynamic, as family dynamic which contained two hyper regressed kiddos.

penelope and jj were playing in the garden. they’d roped derek and emily into their games of course. spencer sat on the deck, head in his book, rossi was whisking away in the kitchen and aaron watched on from the deck, making sure everything was in order.

“can we pay duck duck goose now penny?’ jj asked, looking up at her big sister with her puppy eyes.

“no we playin tag,” penelope replied, tagging her little sister. “you’re it.”

“no wan pay tag,” jj huffed suddenly, crossing her arms and stomping her foot.

“girls, why don’t we play a round or two of duck duck goose before it’s dinner time?” derek suggested and put his hands on jj’s shoulders to try and diffuse the situation.

“nooo. no wan play that!” penelope groaned, throwing her head back.

“dinner amici!!” rossi suddenly shouted from the decking. jj suddenly let out a cry, she didn’t want to eat. she wasn’t ready to eat, not mentally. why did no one warn her?

“dinner!!” penelope shouted, running into the house, derek followed and emily grabbed her girl.

“i know sweetheart. i know,” emily sighed. jj’s eating disorder had been playing up so much it had been difficult to get any food down her recently, the whole team had struggled to help.

“come on little love,” emily whispered and pulled jj up into her arms to carry her inside.

“mama,” jj whimpered, hiding in her neck.

“uncle rossi made your favourite, hm,” emilt said.

“carbonara?” jj asked, sniffling.

“yes my love; carbonara for the princess. come sit,” rossi said and motioned for jj’s special chair. emily sat jj down.

“jj eat all up!” penelope cheered and kissed jj’s head as a sweet endearing act.

jj whimpered, not wanting to eat it all up at all.

“you don’t have to. just try some for me okay?” emily said, tucking some hair behind her ear. jj nodded and sighed softly. the rest of the team took their seats and began eating. jj picked up her bluey fork and began eating off her decorated plate. it was safe.

after dinner, the girls were both a lot chirper and no longer angry or upset with one another.

“uncle derek can you come pay wif us?” jj asked with her sweetest puppy eyes.

“pease dada!” penelope begged, her hands clasped together.

“not if we’re playing princesses.” derek said.

“of course it’s princesses. go on mr tough man,” emily teased.

“you have to come play too!” derek said, throwing up his hands.

“nope nope nope. jj knows after dinner is mama’s wine time. you’re playing now,” emily sniggered and waved the bottle of rossi’s most expensive in derek’s face. he sighed in defeat.

“fine!”

“yay!” the little ones cheered and they grabbed a hand each before dragging him up the stairs.

the adults were downstairs and the little ones were getting their derek all dressed up covered in makeup. he looked beautiful to them, obviously, as handsome as ever to everyone else.

“allllll done!” jj cheered and took a step back from her makeup canvas. whilst nj was in charge of the makeup, penelope was on hair.

“i nearly done too,” penelope said.

“then we gotta show him to eveone!” jj muttered and did a twirl in a dress.

“do we have to?”

“mhms,” penelope giggled. “or else all work for nothing.”

“yeah got show eveone uncle derek,” jj said, huffing and sitting on the floor. she was tired but didn’t want to admit it. with penelope’s adhd, she hardly ever slept whereas jj was always sleepy, she usually slept a full 12 hours and more if she could. with it nearing 8pm, she was ready for bed. but she loved playing with her big sister!

“okay doned!” penelope cheered and stood back from the magic creation of bows and clips in her dada’s hair.

“okay let go show!” jj said happily. she jumped up from the floor and headed downstairs, dragging derek too.

“wait jj!” penelope shouted.

“inside voices ladies,” derek reminded his little.

“sorry dada. jj he not wearing his tutu,” penny said, holding it up.

“darn it. do i have to?”

“yessss uncle derek!” jj said and hurriedly pushed him back into their play room.

“darn it.” he said again.

they paraded their derek down the stairs and the rest of the team laughed and cheered at the handy work of their little ones.

“what amazing work girls!” rossi congratulated. “take a bow!”

both girls stood proudly beside derek, who was not happy, and took the biggest, most proudest bows.

“right girls, bed time!” emily said once derek went to get changed.

“not mineee. ha ha jj got go bed!” penelope giggled and ran off. jj stood there, looking between her caregiver’s open arms and penelope who had ran off.

“come on baby i can see you’re sleepy.”

“nope. i not.” jj giggled and ran off after her sister. she didn’t want to miss out on playing, no matter how tired she was.

“jj!” emily called and sighed as she saw the flash of blonde disappear up the stairs.

“it’s a saturday, let her play a little longer.” hotch said, grabbing emily’s arm and pulling her back down.

“she needs rest or she’ll be grumpy and bratty.” emily groaned.

“she’ll be okay. we can just let her sleep in the morning.”

“fine.”

however, what the adults didn’t know is that the girls were up to no good. in the bathroom.

“so we just have to put this in here and this in here and it makes a potion.” penelope said as she mixed the fancy, expensive shampoo bottles into the toothbrush pot in the bathroom.

“okay but what if it no work,” jj said, leaning in close.

“it will. we will be eal fairies in no time jay.” penelope said and handed over the ‘potion’. “you drink first.”

“why me?”

“cus said so.”

“just cus you said so doesn’t mean i have listen.”

“you do. i boss.”

“you not.”

“i older than you. i boss.”

“i wan be boss.”

“you just a baby. drink it.” she pushed it into her chest, causing the foamy liquid to burst out and splash onto the younger girls t-shirt. she hated wet clothes.

“nooo,” she cried, desperately trying to get the wetness off her.

“i sorry jj!” penelope cried. jj lashed out the , throwing her hands at penelope, causing the cup to go flying across the bathroom and soak the floor. both girls gasped at the loud noise and looked as the soap and water leaked across the floor.

“uh oh.” penelope said.

“off!” jj cried, pulling at her still wet top and now wet socks. she sat down, to try and pull them off but cried out as the wetness soaked into her bum and clothes even more.

“mama!” she screamed as she felt herself get more and more overwhelmed.

“no jj. not mama. she tell us off.” penelope urged and kneeled down beside her friend.

“penny help you.” she said.

“no! not you!” jj cried and threw her hands at penelope, pushing her back. suddenly, emily and derek burst through the bathroom door, to see jj push penelope back.

“jennifer!” emily scolded but suddenly saw the distraught state of her girl.

“okay, okay,” she muttered, more to herself and entered the room.

“what were you two doing in here?” derek asked, looking at the state of rossi’s bathroom.

“jj’s idea dada!” penelope instantly blamed jj and jj cried out.

“it not!”

“let’s get you out of here, come on,” emily said and picked up jj. jj clung to her, fussy about her wet clothes still.

“want off.”

“penelope explain what happened in here,” derek said, firmly to his little.

“dada!”

“none of that whining baby cakes, i need to know.”

penelope began explaining then, how jj encouraged them to make a potion to become fairies and insisted that they use rossi’s most expensive shampoos to be the best fairies they could.

“did you drink it?”

“no jj nearly did but she pushed me dada and it spilled so she got angry and pushed again.”

derek sighed. “you’re telling me you had no involvement in this?”

“no dada. i tried stop her!”

“tell me the truth or it’s time out.”

“dadaaaaaa!”

meanwhile.

“jj sweetheart calm down, they’re not on you anymore,” emily soothed her little as she fussed about the clinging wet clothes to her.

“mama they feel them.” she muttered, quickly becoming overtired and overwhelmed.

“do you want a shower?”

“not shower day!”

“baby,” emily sighed. she turned her little one around and pulled her into her lap, rocking her side to side. she began to sing softly, to help calm her down. the little one yawned but calmed down quickly.

“now, tell mama what on earth you were doing in the bathroom with rossi’s things and why i caught you pushing penelope.”

“penny made me.”

“she made you?”

“she said if we make potions and drink them we become fairies.”

“did you drink it?”

“nooo penny pilled it first.”

“how did she spill it?”

“i maybe push her mama but seee made me!”

“she made you push her?”

“mhm!”

“is that how you both ended up on the floor? did she push you?”

“no i falled.”

“so why did you push her?”

“maaammmaaaaa,” jj whined loudly and threw her head back.

half an hour later and both littles were cleaned up into their pjs ready to settle down for bed. emily hoped she’d get her little one to sleep in no time with the constant yawns and rubbing of her eyes it was inevitable but derek had a bigger challenge on his hands as all penelope wanted to play was fairies.

“it bed time penny,” jj whispered, sniffling and snuggling into her sister whilst the caregivers spoke in the kitchen.

“no mine.”

“mhm, you dada say so.”

“nuh uh. just wo cus wo baby.” penelope whispered and wrapped and arm around her baby sister. she kissed her head lightly and emily brought in a bottle of milk for her girl.

“oh look at you two.” she said softly and took in the cute sight in front of her. “my girls.”

“mama,” jj whispered, despite the cuddle she was already getting and raised her arms to be held.

“come to mama.” emily said and lifted sleepy jj up. she sat her across her lap and began feeding her her nighttime bottle, one full of nutrients she needed to help her ED. it was an easy put down. penelope got back to her colouring fairies and derek stroked her hair as he set her warm milk in her sippy beside her.

“fanks dada.”

“you’re welcome baby girl.”

Happily! Sorry for being late to this. Developed a game for Yandere jam and it took up a lot of my time, but now that it's out I am FREE!

A = Affection- Wren is pretty affectionate, but he'll never say so. I think its pretty clear to everyone, but him. It's one part of his hyper-masculinity that was instilled in him, and the other half him being very tsundere about it. But Wren cares a lot.

B = Best friend - Wren as a friend he's very passive. If someone insists on hanging out with him, and he's not bothered by their presence he will consider them a friend. it's all about action and the amount of time they spend together. Wren is loyal as a dog, and if he likes you it'll take a lot for him not to.

C = Cuddles- Yeah he likes them especially with a partner who is particularly squishy. He'd be embarrassed cause he'd fall asleep or enjoy it too much.

D = Domestic- Believe it or not, this a bit of a spoiler, but let's say that Wren can build a house and make it a home.

E = Ending - Wren would be super chill about it in the moment, but it would be something he carries with him for the rest of his life. When his emotions are at stake he guards them with all his might. He will not let you see him broken up if he can help it.

F = Fiance(e) - I cannot imagine Wren finds a level of comfort in commitment and marriage. He'd make for an ideal fiance.

G = Gentle - Wren is surprisingly gentle. He finds most things, and especially you to be quite fragile and precious. Even if he knows you are an otherworldly being, he finds those he finds cute to be easily breakable.

H = Hugs- Wren loves a good hug. He couldn't tell you the last time he received one. But they are so pleasant when he can get one.

I = I love you - Wren knows his love for you very early on. He fights it tooth and nail, understanding what that means for him, and though he's aware he's falling there isn't a whole lot he can really do about it...

J = Jealousy - Wren can get quite jealous. He is careful not to act on his emotions, but he would be unable to hide it. He understands being with someone as gorgeous as you, it's inevitable, but that doesn't make it much easier.

K = Kisses- Wren is a little awkward generally with all physical affection, he enjoys it a lot, and it's hard for him to act cool and nonchalant. With time he may become comfortable, but he will always have butterflies.

L = Little ones - Wren may state vocally he isn't one for children. But the reality is he'd make a fantastic father and would be much happier having a little family.

M = Morning - Wren's mornings are short lived. He's usually up at the crack of dawn and moving before he has time to mull over the feelings of wanting to stay in bed. He's still a soldier after all.

N = Night - Nights with Wren are spent laying on his back in silence for awhile, sleep finds him easier with you there. Before, that's when the thoughts would torment him, when visions of his tumultuous past play in his mind's eye.

O = Open- Wren is very closed off. It's comfortable for him, but when he opens up it means everything. He doesn't take that stuff lightly, and you best believe that if you open up to him he takes it just as, if not more seriously.

P = Patience - Patience is a virtue Wren has had beaten into him. He has no choice but to be slow to anger, and to not let his emotions control him. It's a matter of life and death. Of losing his total humanity.

Q = Quizzes - Wren is attentive and sure to remember as much as he can about you. As he does most people he comes into contact with, but when it comes to those he cares for he has a special place in his mind for all things them.

R = Remember - Every moment with you is something worth remembering to Wren. It isn't often at all he's able to be this close with anyone, and even the small things mean the world to him.

S = Security - Wren only knows how to protect you, for awhile it's the only way he knew how to show his affection, sometimes he even takes it too far. But your safety will always be his number one priority.

T = Try - Wren may be a bit clumsy and inexperienced, but he's better than he gives himself credit for. If there's something this man knows how to do it's make a plan and stick to it. He'd curate the most perfect date imaginable, and think of it as subpar.

U = Ugly - Wren's ugly side isn't too hard to find, he fights it daily. He's done horrible things, he thinks horrible things, but he actively wants to be better. Even when he knows it would be easier to swim down and be the monster the world sees him as.

V = Vanity - Wren isn't vain whatsoever, he probably wouldn't even consider his look to be an asset of any note. Especially after he turned monstrous. He knew fretting over his looks was a road to certain disaster and depression, so instead he doesn't even bother thinking about it.

W = Whole - To Wren you'd be the one with whom he must protect no matter what. You are his other half. Long before he even admits to it.

X = Xtra- Fun fact about Wren is that he is extremely fond of cats, and other cute things. He feels a lot of aggression when he sees something cute and has to take a moment to collect himself.

Y = Yuck - Wren can't stand anyone who is deceitful, unwilling to grow or change for the better. Also anyone who doesn't like cats because wtf?

Z = Zzz- Sleep doesn't always come easy for Wren, he may be struggling with sleep more than he lets on, so he trains hard to compensate, hoping if he can wear himself out he can get a full night's rest.

Nesting, Breeding, and Rut/Heat.

(As a refresher for this post, a Luna is a sub-dynamic of an Alpha that can present with both sets of genitals, experience both a heat and a rut, and can get pregnant and impregnate others.)

(This is an addition to one of my kinktober stories that had to do with Hawks. I decided to make a headcanon post this month as I didn’t have an idea for a story.)

Hizashi

Nesting.

When the mood strikes, he will be hyper focused on making a nest. This means there are at least three nests all over the house. One in the master bedroom in the corner, one in his in-home office, and one in the living room. These things are like caves that he can hide in whenever it suits him, especially after a rough and long day where the extrovert needs to have some space and chill out on his own. Think of Hizashi’s nest as a type of pillow fort that needs to have a thick blanket to cover the floor and high for him to coil and a thin blanket or sheet to make a tent over the nest so he can have privacy if he needs it. Sometimes he will steal an old shirt that Shouta hasn’t worn in a while and put in a special drawer that can be nesting fodder for Hizashi when the urge to nest hits him.

Breeding/ heat and rut.

A Luna is a dynamic that can experience both a heat and a rut. For Hizashi, his heat and rut alternate months and happen once a month like a period. During the months that he has his heat, his ovaries produce eggs that drop into his uterus and make his uterus grow out a little bit, making him look pregnant when he isn’t. He can either lay the eggs when they drop down into his pelvis or have them fertilized and after about two weeks, he will carry them for about nine months then lay them. During the time that he is ovulating, he is extremely moody and will hide in one of his nests, sending requests via text to Shouta for food or water as he doesn’t want to move from where he is until he lays the eggs or Shouta comes to mate with him to ease the pains of his heat. One time, Shouta had brought him some fried chicken that he requested and found Hizashi coiled up in the nest he had built in his office and a glaring pair of green eyes was staring at him. “Put the food outside the nest then leave if you wish to have your dick spared. This heat is hell and I am resisting having you come in here and screw me until this heat is satisfied or I’m pregnant. Whichever comes first.” He spoke. Shouta walked over and placed the bucket in front of the nest and went to the door. “Text me once you’ve had food. I might just take you up on that.” He says before leaving the office.

When he’s in rut, He’s irritable and on edge at work. Almost as if the slightest thing would make him snap unless he was able to drop the rather heavy clutch he was carrying into his partner or into an artificial womb.  His scent is a strong orange scent with cinnamon and lemon undertones, almost like warmed apple cider when his rut gets really rough and he sometimes ignores it as to not cause trouble with his mate.

When he is alone with his mate, he will use an aphrodisiac to send his mate into a state of pure bliss and act as a pain killer for the amount of eggs he will stuff his mate with.  The incubation process lasts nine to twelve months and Hizashi produces 10-15 eggs that he gives to his mate. Up to four eggs will be fertilized if that happens after a transfer of eggs. The rest will either be absorbed by the fertilized eggs or birthed to be ground up for the mother to eat to regain strength.

Shouta

Nesting.

Although it isn’t normal for Alphas to nest, Shouta feels the need to make a safe place for himself and his mate. Sometimes his nest is a place for himself to unwind after a long day and he just wants to sleep or a place that he can claim his mate over and over all night long.

  Breeding

When it comes time that Shouta’s urge to breed his mate is so strong, he can’t resist it any longer, he will treat his mate to a special dinner before guided them to his bedroom and into his nest where he would begin to ease you out of your clothes and onto your back where he could make sweet love to you all night long. He would be on the rough side, but he would make sure to care for you the next morning and treat you well for the day or however long it took for you to feel better and how long his rut would last.

Rut.

Onto his rut, he is very irritable about the week before his rut and he’s clingier to you when you’re around.  You better plan to have that week off from work, because he won’t let you get far during his rut. You can tell a change in his mood and facial expression when his rut comes. He’s flirtier than normal and he will show small PDAs when the two of you are out. If another Alpha or Luna eyes you, he will growl at them and pull you closer. He also can’t keep his hands off you whenever the two of you are alone. He will place kisses all over your neck, shoulders, and face until you give in and begin to make out with him to help ease his urges. When his rut is over, he typically takes a day or two to recover and help clean up and make sure you’re alright before going back to work.

special act 2: Numero Uno

Sunghoon woke up groggy and disoriented, blinking the sleep out of his eyes. His arm instinctively reached out, expecting the familiar warmth of Y/N beside him—only to find an empty space.

His brows furrowed as he slowly sat up, looking around. The apartment was eerily quiet. No clinking from the kitchen, no soft humming, nothing.

He grabbed his phone from the nightstand and tapped on their chat.

Nothing. No read receipts, no response. His frown deepened.

“Did she just leave me?” he mumbled dramatically to himself, running a hand through his tousled hair.

His overactive imagination kicked in. What if she was kidnapped? What if she decided she had enough of me and left? What if she found another man while she was out—

…No, that was stupid.

Still, he wasn’t about to let her ignore him like this.

A smug smirk curled his lips as an idea popped into his head.

He scrolled through his playlist until he found the song. The one that would absolutely break her.

The opening beat played softly as he positioned his phone. The second the lyrics started, he smirked at the camera, mouthing along perfectly.

“Número… uno… bebé…”

A sharp eyebrow raise. A slow lip bite.

“Mwah… mwah… mwah… loco…”

He delivered each “mwah” with a teasing air kiss toward the camera, finishing it off with a smug tilt of his head.

Satisfied, he sent the video and leaned back against the pillows, waiting.

It didn’t take long.

A flood of messages came in almost instantly.

Sunghoon grinned.

Fifteen minutes later, he barely had time to react before the front door slammed open.

Rapid footsteps.

Then—

“YOU MENACE.”

Y/N launched herself onto the bed, tackling him down before smothering his face in kisses.

“You dramatic, unnecessarily hot—” she huffed between pecks.

Sunghoon chuckled, gripping her waist to keep her in place. “Worked, didn’t it?”

She pulled back just enough to glare at him, breathless, before leaning down again, pressing one last deep kiss to his lips.

“…Yeah,” she admitted, grudgingly.

Sunghoon smirked against her mouth. “Good.”

Baldur's Gate 3 Companion!Tav Ask List

Paloma Silkflower

What if your Tav was a recruitable companion, instead of the main character?  (contains major spoilers for the game, and for some dark urge runs as well)

General

Where can your Tav be recruited?  Are they first encountered on the Nautiloid, or in the Nautiloid crash region?  Or are they not recruitable until a later act? The PC meets her on the Nautiloid. She's immediately over Shadowheart and Lae'zel's bullshit. She's hyper focused on getting out.

Do the other companions have special comments or reactions upon recruiting your Tav? She's a drow so some people has some pretty nasty stuff to say. Wyll, Gale, and Karlach are chill because that's who they are. No one trusts her at first because they assume she worships the Spider Queen. Over time, they realize they were wrong about her.

Does your Tav have any comments or advice when you recruit other companions? Shadowheart: "She proved herself back on the Nautiloid. She'll be useful to have at our side in battle." Astarion: "I'll be blunt. I don't trust Astarion as far as I can throw him, but I can deal with him." Gale: "I've never seen a wizard stuck in a rock before. I guess there's a first time for everything. I'd be lying if I said I didn't find him endearing though." Wyll: " It's nice to know that there are real life prince charmings in the world. It'll be an honor to fight by his side. Let's just hope he doesn't end up getting sidetracked trying to save a princess." Lae'zel: "Gith may be brutal, but they're also fearless. If she's on our side, we're in good company. But we better stay on her good side." Halsin: "I think everyone has been drooling over that man since he came to camp. I can't blame them. I wouldn't be against climbing Mount Halsin myself...." Karlach: "She's a firecracker, isn't she? She's a fantastic addition to our little team of freaks. It's been so long since I met someone who just radiates goodness. She's doing wonders for my heart." Minthara: "You don't expect me to be happy she's here, do you? You can't put a Lolth and Seldarine in a room together and hope for the best. (sighs) While I wish you hadn't recruited her, I'll get over it for the good of the team." If you have high approval, she'll add, "I trust your judgment above all else." Minsc: "I already love Boo so much. I'd keep Minsc around for for his sake alone. All jokes aside, it'll be an honor to fight alongside Minsc. He's a good man." Jaheira: "I'm afraid I've only recently learned of her exploits, but I'm thoroughly impressed. I have a lot I'd like to learn from her. We also need someone around who can bust our chops a little bit."

What sort of general actions raise or lower their approval? She has a soft spot for kids, especially orphans. If the PC is kind to children, they'll get approval points. She'll also be impressed if the PC can talk their way out of confrontations.

Are there any instances where your Tav can permanently leave the party, depending on player character actions? The PC can driver her off. It's not easy, but it can be done. If her approval rating is too low, she'll leave on her own. If you pick insulting options too often, she'll ditch you, too. She will not tolerate that kind of abuse.

Do they have any secrets that can be revealed?  What are the prerequisites for this secret coming to light? She's secretive about her past, but she can either be persuaded to confide in the PC or a future quest will reveal her secrets. It's mostly about her sister. (More on that in a bit.) I might expand on this idea more in the future. She's also a mom, but she keeps that a secret to protect her kids. If she trusts Tav enough, she'll tell them she has three.

Do they have their own personal quest that spans the course of the game?  Can it take different branching paths depending on the choices the Player Character makes? Her sister will make an appearance later on and you can choose to help her or not. Her sister, Lamia, is a criminal who is constantly getting into trouble. She's being chased by the authorities and you can choose to help her or let her get arrested. You could also possibly break Lamia out of prison later. Lamia will help in the final battle if you help her stay out of prison. If she goes to prison, she obviously will not be able to help.

What do they say when the Player Character asks them to stay in camp?  How about when the Player Character asks them to come adventuring again? Stay in camp: "Are you sure? You know, if you need me, you can call on me any time." To go adventuring again: "At the ready. I get worried about you when you go off without me." (Even if she's not romanced, she will say this platonically. She will either see the PC as a lover or a sibling.)

Does your Tav have any escalating conflicts with one of the other companions, like Lae’zel and Shadowheart’s knife-fight? Oh yeah, she and Minthara are at each other's throats. Minthara underestimates her and Paloma looks down her nose at Minthara. If the PC plays their cards right, they can get the two of them to tolerate each other. They might even eventually respect one another with the right choices. Or the PC can egg them on. It will lead to a fight and possibly a death, or just one of them leaving for good.

Are there any unique NPCs associated with your Tav that can show up during the course of the game? Paloma grew up in an orphanage called the Holy House of Nym. It's run by Ilmater clerics and the PC be able to meet the clerics who raised her. Paloma isn't particularly fond of many of the clerics. Note: Paloma is from an original story and I named the House of Nym before I knew anything about BG3. It having the same name as Nym Orlith was an accident. Lamia, a changeling rogue, grew up with Paloma at Nym and she's an optional NPC to interact with. She's like a sister to Paloma, but she's also an absolute disaster. You can choose to help Lamia escape from the authorities or leave her to her fate. Allie is a barbarian Dragonborn that Lamia pals around with. Allie is kind of a meathead who likes to spit acid on people. You can also decide to help her escape capture or let them both go to jail. If you help them, you can call on both of them for help whenever. Lamia would do anything for her sister. Paloma will be surprisingly understanding if you don't want to help them. If you do help them, you get a HUGE approval boost with Paloma. You won't get disapproval for not helping though. If you go to the babysitter's house, you can also meet her children, Orianna, Lucan, and Meriele. The babysitter has yet to be named.

Are there any moments in the game that trigger unique dialogue for your character? (Like Gale’s anecdote about the barfight after you save the goblin prisoner)  If you help any orphans, she might be tell the PC a story of her past. This is one of the potential ways for the PC to discover she was orphaned as a child. She can regale them with a story of her childhood. She'll also mention keeping her "little sister" out of trouble. If Ilmater is ever mentioned or read about in a book and the PC knows she's an orphan, she'll talk about how the orphanage she grew up in was run by Ilmatari. She has a complicated relationship with Ilmater worshippers. If Tav knows about her kids, she'll also talk about the shenanigans they get into. Gale will probably chime in because he relates to being a precocious kid. It'll be cute.

Story Specific

How does your Tav advise the player character when it comes to the Dream Visitor? She 100% doesn't trust them. "I don't know what to make of them, but I don't trust them. How do we know they actually have our best interest at heart?"

How do they advise the player character on Raphael? "Don't trust a devil. Nothing good can come of it. He can smell our desperation and he will prey on it."

How do they react to Astarion biting the Player Character? "I told you! Didn't I tell you? I knew there was something up with him. ...I don't actually care he's a vampire. It makes him kind of hotter, if I'm being honest. But the important part is I was right!"

How do they react to the Player Character letting Abdirak whip them? "So... can we take turns doing this, or is it a one time deal?"

How do they react to the Player Character taking their first tadpole power? "Gods... why would you do that? Are you trying to become a mind flayer?" She'd also check up on the PC to make sure they're okay. She'd be genuinely very worried about them and acting like a mother hen until she was convinced they were okay.

Will they stay with the Player Character regardless of siding with the goblins or the tieflings, or is it possible for them to leave the party permanently? If they side with the goblins, she'll leave. She can't help but feel for the tieflings, especially the kids. She also has no interest in rubbing elbows with goblins in general.

What can they be found doing at the tiefling/goblin party? She'd retreat to her tent to drink a glass of wine alone. She's not a big partier, but she'd be personable if you approach her.

Do they have comments on who the Player Character chooses to spend the night with?  She'd approve of anyone you bed, honestly. She knows she's traveling with a group of hotties. She'd have a very "Go you" reaction. She'd also ask for details later.

Do they have unique dialogue if the Player Character lets them die when they steal the Blood of Lathander? "I understand the appeal of the nice shiny sun cannon, but I stopped understanding at the part where you let it crush me! Gods, what were you thinking?" If you have high approval, she'll add, "You're lucky I like you so much. I forgive you." If you don't, you'll have more options to either apologize or antagonize her.

How do they react if the PC licks the dead spider in the Gauntlet of Shar? "Do not put stuff like that in your mouth. You're going to make yourself sick!" A second time: "No! Bad! Put it back!" Sometimes her dialogue will be redirected at another companion, "Have they done this before? You'd tell me if they did something like this before, right?"

What do they say if the PC tries to force them to go up on stage with Dribbles the Clown? 1: "I saw a clown in the Underdark once.... His corpse was used as a warning for any other clowns that dared come down." 2: "Do you really wish to see me up there? Or do you just have a thing for humiliation and didn't tell me?" 3: "Well... our friendship was nice while it lasted." / If romanced, "I hope you don't plan on trying to crawl into my bedroll tonight after this stunt."

Is it possible for your Tav to be kidnapped and replaced by Orin?  How is Orin's deception revealed?  How do they react to the PC rescuing them in the Temple of Bhaal? Yes, she can be. Orin would pick up on her trying to be a big sister/mom to everybody, but she'd 100% overplay it. She'd perform her like a really bad OOC fanfic of Paloma. She'd make her freak out that she couldn't protect "her babies" and the PC would be able to see through it. It'd be a lot like Halsin, but about protecting the group. When rescued, she'd be grateful. "Thank you. It's good to know I can always count on you. Now let's get out of here. It smells like someone died in here... Huh. I'm hearing myself say that and feeling very stupid."

How do they react to the PC either allowing Astarion to ascend or convincing him to spare the 7000 spawn? I think she'd be so heartbroken if he ascended. He grows on her and she wants to protect everyone. She just wants the best for her little crew. She'd tell the PC how sad she is Astarion ascended, but would still want him in her life. She would also be touched if Astarion spares the 7000 spawn, but worried out of her mind. She just doesn't want anyone to get hurt.

How does Tav react to the PC becoming a mind flayer?  Can they offer to become one themselves?  Does their reaction change if they’re romanced?  She wouldn't but only because of her kids. She can't become one because of them. She would be so sad if the PC becomes one, but she'd never leave their side. She'd take care of them and stay with them if romanced, no matter what.

How do they react when the Dark Urge first reveals their amnesia and murderous thoughts to them? She'd be scared, but she would be there for the PC. She's supportive and loving. She would have a suspicion of what's going on, but she'd keep it to herself until later.

How do they react to the Dark Urge killing Alfira? "Did you do this? Please... please, tell me this wasn't you. Gods, why? Why would you do this to her?" She'd still be suspicious she knows that the Dark Urge is a Bhaalspawn, but she'd never say it. She'd just do everything she could to help the PC.

If romanced, how do they react to the Dark Urge trying to kill them in Act 2? When she first wakes: "Love...? Is everything alright? What's happening?" After being told what's happening: "You wouldn't be the first lover who tried to kill me, but I do wish it would stop happening... Whatever is happening to you, we'll get you through this." She would be supportive as always and protective. She would talk the PC through it and stay calm for them. She'd calmly and firmly ask for an explanation afterward.

Romance

Is your Tav a romanceable character?  Are there any specific requirements to romancing them? Yes, she is definitely romanceable. She'd pretend she's hard to get, but she is not.

Does your Tav need to be flirted with to start the romance, or will they approach the PC themselves if approval is high enough? In order to get things moving faster, the PC can flirt with her and let her know they're interested. If the PC gets her approval high enough, she will bring it up first. It just takes a little longer before she feels confident in making the first move.

Are they a polyamorous or a monogamous option? She's a poly option. She'll just ask the PC to communicate with her about their needs/wants.

Do they have a special romance scene at the tiefling/goblin party? If her approval is high, she'll flirt with the PC and make the first move. But the PC will also be able to ask her to spend the night with them. She'll take you into the woods to spend the night together.

Does the romance have different branching paths, or just one route to take? She would have a pretty straightforward path, even if you take a poly angle.

How do they react to the player character breaking up with them, or choosing another character over them? She'd be really upset about it, but trying to put on a brave face. She would try to act as if she doesn't care, but the PC definitely broke her heart. She'd also probably get in a jab at whoever the PC left her for... and immediately feel bad about saying it. She'd apologize for that. She would ask to stay friends.

What questions can Zethino ask the PC about Tav in the Love Test?  The heart is fraught, so let us begin with the joyous. When is Paloma happiest? A. How do they react if the PC has sex with Mizora? The Emperor?  Haarlep? She doesn't want to tell the PC what to do, but she'd disapprove of Mizora because of what she did to Wyll. It'd be less about the sex and more about who it was with. It might get her to leave the PC. She'd disapprove of the Emperor and Haarlep, but she would be empathetic toward the PC.

Will they join in with the PC and the Drow Twins, or no? She would! She'd love it.

What are Tav’s plans for the future?  Do they propose to the PC, or is marriage not something they’re interested in? She'd propose and there'd be an option for the PC to beat her to it. She's poly, but not against marriage. (She's also willing to be monogamous for someone she loves. It's not something she HAS to have.) As long as the PC accepts her children, she wants a future with them.

been watching blues clues for The Nostalgia but also because i work in special education and i feel like it's a really good inspiration for like... good, positive, constructive interactions with kids. i feel like im learning from it in a completely different way now

here are some of my thoughts on why blues clues is good and why i think its better/more effective than a lot of other kids shows

steve's absolute genuine love comes through so strong. he's silly, but he's never over-acting in that weird hyper exaggerated style you see so often in kids shows. he's not a "MY SISTER DID WWWHHHAAAAAAT???!?!?!? (REAL) (NOT CLICKBAIT) (GONE WRONG)" youtube guy. he's just a sweet funny guy who likes kids. there's a reason all of us who grew up with him felt like he was family to us

on that note too, everything in blues clues is so.... calm. it's quiet, but not eerily quiet. it's colorful, but not obnoxiously eye-searing bright. everything is soft. everything is gentle. i feel totally relaxed and safe just from watching the opening. kids media is so often just an overwhelming sensory overload of explosive color and sound and grating voices but blues clues is so chill. and yet, somehow, also not boring. kids media doesn't have to be extreme chaos to appeal to children and it makes a lot of sense to me that a lot of the autistic kids i work with love blues clues

the "talking to the audience" is handled so well, and as a certified hater of "do YOU see the RED BARN?????? ..................................................................THERE it is!!!!!" styles of talking to children (no offense to anyone who enjoys dora but yes I am talking about dora) i feel like somehow steve pulls it off very well. i think it's partly the fact that he does not over-exaggerate and he does not talk down to the kids watching. when he asks "can you help me?" he's asking like he really cares about your input, wants to hear your ideas, and values your opinion, not like he's praising a dog

the addition of the "audience" kid voices responding to him helps so much with those weird awkward pauses too while "you" respond, but again not a loud busy sitcom audience - it gives the feeling of sitting in a playroom with a couple other kids. it's less "going to see an interactive play" and more "steve's having some friends over." it's cozy. it's friendly. i like it

ive also been noticing that frequently when steve asks the audience for help, it's not "do YOU see the RED BARN" with a giant red barn directly in front of his face, it's things like this

the clue is visible to us, but steve can't see it from where he is, so it makes sense that he needs our help to find it

when he's trying to figure out the answer to a question, he gives the kids a chance to solve it/to Help Him by like, giving silly solutions - so it's more "steve is being silly" and less "steve is an idiot who doesn't know anything." it's a game, he's playing with us, he's making us laugh and encouraging us to show him what we know, rather than being frustratingly incompetent and waiting silently motionless for us to tell him the obvious answer

i watched a joe episode to see how his era felt- all i remember was i didn't like him as much specifically just because he wasn't steve. even as a child i respected what i believed was steve's decision to go to college, but it just felt too different. looking at it now as an adult understanding the real steve's reasons and giving it an open mind, i think joe also does all these things very well. he's a little... i guess he feels "brighter" (personality-wise) while steve feels more "calm/relaxed" but joe also seems genuine, and isn't doing the over-exaggerated character to the point of Obnoxious either. i think the only reason i was so hard on him was because he wasn't steve. nobody can be steve. joe does a good job being joe

also noticed he's left handed which always makes me a little bit happy inside. lefty solidarity. and i caught a couple times he used sign language signs in his songs (i noticed it because "thank you" is one some of our students use so I recognized it, i don't know very many signs so I don't know how often this was present and I didn't notice) which is cool

but then there was this one segment about colors i remembered from when i was a kid where, i thought, steve was telling us about colors, and it was where i learned about the color "chartreuse" which i then remembered for the rest of my life. i loved it because i at this age already knew my colors, i knew red and blue make purple, but this showed me next level color combinations. we all know yellow and blue make green, but yellow and green makes chartreuse? I had no idea it had a name other than "yellow-green."

but it turns out it wasn't steve

it was joe. joe taught me chartreuse and i remembered it forever. ive won trivia questions because of this before. thank you joe. respect

then i watched one of the new blues clues & you episodes (with current host josh) and it looks like there's a lot more signing mixed in - not stopping to Teach the signs, but just using them for key words occasionally, which is a really cool way to kind of incidentally teach kids some signs

blues clues & you... is very disorienting for me because it's So different to look at, there's a lot more characters on the screen at one time so there's just. a lot of movement happening, but it doesn't feel Chaotic either, it just feels like that original super chill cozy vibe is kind of lost now. i don't like the 3D animated puppies. they don't look Terrible, i just don't like it, personally.

none of the other characters are 3D, it's only blue and magenta, which makes them feel... out of place, somehow? they're animated in a completely different style than anything else in the room and it feels like they're not supposed to be there. maybe the intention was to have blue and josh stand out from the background but it feels really weird

i don't like how the songs are done. josh's energy doesn't feel quite right to me and i can't figure out why? i think it's like one level higher than the others or something, it's not quite the Over-Exaggerated Chaos level but it's a little less relaxed

i like how they talk about like... states of feeling, though, shovel comes out of the pool and says they feel cold and wet, so josh gives them a towel to feel better. tickety tock feels too hot, so josh gives her a hat to feel better. this is a concept we work on a lot at my school, learning to recognize how you feel and what you can do to help regulate it

plus that gives us this blessed image of tickety tock in a little sun hat. my life has been improved by this

ultimately i think maybe it's just that it's too different for me, i can't place anything specifically "wrong" other than "it's different and I don't like it." anyway anyone want to talk about blues clues

DARKO'S BIRTHDAY - DAWKO EGOS FAMILY DYNAMIC SHORT STORY

No trigger warnings :)

Six years had passed since Darko gained consciousness; being the youngest and newest Dawkego at the time, he got quite a bit of attention. However, it didn’t take very long before he fell into obscurity… Birthdays would go by uncelebrated aside from a small gift from Poopet but for the most part, he couldn’t remember a time where all his relatives actually celebrated his birthday. Considering Dawktrap’s birthday was a mere six days after his, it was quickly pushed to the side. The siblings all celebrated each other’s special days but never Darko’s. Although he wasn’t one to care very much, it was getting increasingly annoying; constantly being pushed to the side and forgotten about was taking a toll on him.

Today was no different. He spent most of the day inside his and Poopet’s gift box, his brother hadn’t even wished him a happy birthday before leaving to go do his chores which was odd… Maybe he was simply in a rush. But as the hours went by, and no one bothered to come see him, even after he had left his box and was visibly sulking, Darko called it an early night and retreated back to the box. Of course his siblings didn’t care, he wasn’t too shocked, his bond with them was quite strained due to how they treated him in the past but the fact even Poopet didn’t acknowledge his birthday was concerning. Had he done something wrong? Poopet was so close to him and always tried to spend time with him; especially when it was his birthday.

The other Dawkegos were all acting very odd the entire day… They were sneaking around and when they saw Darko, they’d panic and leave as quickly as possible. That was… unusual. Sure, he intimidated them every so often but them behaving like this was entirely different. Fed up with the day, and quite frankly wanting to cry, he pretended to go to bed, laying down with his eyes tightly shut but never actually drifting off into any slumber. Once Poopet had returned to the gift box for the night, Darko quickly snapped up, startling the half-puppet by accident. “Why didn’t you wish me a happy birthday, Po?” he asked, staring daggers into his older brother while keeping his fists clenched around his blanket.

“I- What!? It’s not your birthday yet, I would never forget that!” Poopet exclaimed, frowning as he approached his younger brother; but Darko decided to lay back down, pulling the blanket over his head. Poopet vacantly stared at him for a moment before shaking his head. “You’re six years conscious, not six years old, Dark. Chill.” he chuckled, climbing up the ladder of the bunk bed. The only response that came from the lower bunk was a low, muffled growl. It was his birthday, how could Poopet say he’d never forget and then forget!?

As the night went by, Darko had fallen asleep for a short while before he was urgently awoken by Poopet. Groaning, he gently smacked Poopet away from him before looking him dead in the eye. “What?” he grumbled, rubbing the tiredness from his eyes while still keeping uncomfortable eye contact with his older brother.

“HAPPY BIRTHDAY!” Poopet shouted, playfully grabbing Darko by the collar and ushering him out of bed. Darko’s body stiffened up and he quite literally wanted to commit an act of violence upon his brother but shockingly kept his calm. Poopet was strangely hyper for Darko’s birthday… but it wasn’t even his birthday anymore, that was the day before! Nonetheless, Darko decided to just give in to whatever the half-puppet was doing as he pulled Darko toward the ladder. He wasn’t awake enough to process anything and was still sulking from the day before - which was his real birthday.

The two half-puppets climbed up the ladder and upon reaching the top, Poopet turned to face Darko and pulled a long strip of cloth out from his hoodie pouch, bringing it up toward the younger half-puppet’s face before being swatted at. “What the hell are you doing!?” Darko shouted, stepping away from Poopet as he instinctively reached into his own hoodie pouch to grab a knife that wasn’t there.

“Blinding you, obviously. Just go along with it, it’s fine!” Poopet stepped closer to Darko, tying the cloth around his eyes before putting an arm around his shoulders and walking him out of the room. Darko was barely compliant as the two walked to… wherever, he wasn’t very familiar with the place despite living in it for so long so he had no idea where his older brother was taking him, the directions were disorienting. Poopet kept his patience with his younger brother like he always had. Finally, they stopped walking and immediately Darko reached up to pull the blindfold off but was stopped by Poopet taking hold of his wrist.

“Just wait here for less than a minute, okay?”

A door opened and shut, Darko was left alone blindly standing… somewhere. Without hesitation, he lifted up the blindfold and looked around. The hallway he stood in was unfamiliar and quite frankly he couldn’t remember if he had ever been in this part of the house. He pressed his ear to the door and heard muffled whispers, his confusion increasing but also getting a slight excitement in him as he thought of what it might be. Footsteps quickly approached the door and he stepped back, pulling the blindfold down over his eyes and acting clueless.

The door opened. “Alright, come on in!” Poopet’s voice called out as he reached for Darko. The half-puppet pulled Darko into the unknown room, shutting the door behind the two. Counting down from three, on the last number Poopet tugged the blindfold off of his brother.

“Happy birthday, Darko!” Poopet shouted in unison with three other voices. Darko froze, his white eyes widened as they darted around the small, white walled room which had been set up with all sorts of red and black party decorations and a table containing a couple of gifts and a chocolate cake decorated with bright-red frosting that was spread to look like streams of dripping blood. Sitting at the table were his other siblings; Nightko, Showko, and Glamko. Dawktrap was… nowhere in sight; something Darko was thankful for. His father wasn’t there either but he typically wasn’t at any of the Dawkegos’ birthdays so it didn’t matter too much to him.

After gawking for a moment, Darko finally opened his mouth. “This… is for me?” he muttered, stepping toward the table. His siblings nodded in response to his question and ushered him to sit down.

“Thank you but… my birthday was yesterday.” he nervously laughed, sitting down as he started suddenly feeling intimidated due to being surrounded by a family he felt so distant from. As Poopet took a seat next to Darko, Glamko pointed at the eldest Dawkego.

“The party planner lost track of time and he knew it was your birthday yesterday but none of us were prepared yet,” Glamko began, causing the two half-puppets to look at him. “So, Darko, we spent the entiiire day yesterday putting everything together and whenever we saw you… well, some of us have a hard time shutting up -ahem, me- so we had to just avoid you at all cost. And then there was more trial and error but anyway, happy birthday! We also don’t talk about how this party was gonna be for your fifth year of consciousness. So it’s… a year and a day late party!”

“Ah, sounds like that was a delight, don’t worry about it. And… who are you again?”

“Erm… I’m Glamko! Glamrock Dawko, the one that does your makeup and actually made you look presentable for once?”

“Right, sorry,” Darko looked around the table, trying to think of what to say next. “Well, thank you, guys! I was quite upset yesterday, not gonna lie.”

The siblings were apologetic as Darko explained his feelings but it was short lived and they moved onto another topic; where Dawktrap was. Darko thought for sure that Dawktrap would have tried to ruin a party for Darko if the opportunity came about but shockingly it hadn't happened. Dawktrap wrote a card for Darko though and Poopet assured him that it wasn't a malice filled letter. Picking up the light-purple envelope, Darko opened it and pulled the card out. It was a generic birthday card with a blank inside aside from just a few words written in blue ink. The card read,

“Happy Birthday, old man =:)”

Darko let out a laugh as he looked at the words. “Pfft, he’s calling me an old man!? He’s the one possessed with the soul of uh… what do you guys call the FNAF killer? Peepaw Afton!” he said, closing the card and sliding it back into the envelope. “Well… tell ol’ Glitchy I said thank you. For once we’re not at each other’s throats, heh.”

After some small talk, Darko opened each of his gifts -with a black wolf plushie from Poopet being his favorite- before the five siblings indulged in the chocolate cake, Nightko having been the one that baked it and Glamko being the one that decorated it. Darko had a difficult time expressing how grateful he was for this party, he never had one before and thought he’d never get one in his life due to his reputation among his other siblings. Thus, today was a shocker, it even made him forget most of the violent traits that made him him and for the first time in forever, he spent the day with everyone with no issues and no Dawktrap to screw around with him.

Even if the party was a day late, it was the best birthday Darko ever had.

How tiktok is the reason i got into theatre except its not at all how you think it is

Okay tik tok. Tiktok right? Right. So tiktok shoed me this clip of toggos woozle goozle in like,,, what? 2017? And i literally just wanted to find that one episode bc i was really interested in that topic they were explaining (i dont even remember it anymore lmao) (yes i know this is the worst tiktok thing to fall for. Yes it still happened.) sonthere i was. No clue what episode it was. So naturally i skip through all of them to find the right one yes? I found myself get really invested in woozle goozle and even when i found the episode i kept watching cthrough that shit. NOW this is were i first hear about starlight starlight express. I have been to theatre and musicals before obviously and i liked it but i never really cared about it too much. But starlight express? Staight express was different. Starlight express just had smt of home to it. So for months on months i just yearned for this fucking show, buyed the soundtrack (i didnt know english at the time but i accidentally bought it in english so i bought it twice lmao), i tried finding bootlegs (but this stage is barely possible to get a bootleg), i buyed merch, i read all about it online. Then christmas came and WHAT?! I GET TO GO TO STARLIGHT EXPRESS?! OMFG?! So on april 18th the following year (yes i remember the date fuck u) i got to see the newest adaptation in bochum. I have never felt such chills in my entire life (and i gotta say i don’t think that i’m gonna, anytime soon). And so i first started obsessing with a musical. Now two years went by, i saw the lion king in london and loved it but tbh i didn’t obsess over it even near the amount i obsess over other stuff. Mind you it is now 2019 and i have adhd. I have never had a hyper fixation last this long. This is when i start to understand the world a bit more. I realise gay people…. Exist? I mean obv i knew they exist but where i was it was smt rly rly special and i never even considered it tbh. I search up what lgbtq+ means and my suggestions are now not only starlight express anymore but also gay shit (lmao who would’ve thought this is how i turn out) and algorithm was algorithm-ing and gave me: ✨Bi Electra✨. Now this is when i first even saw other sides/perspectives to the whole show (and generally, the concept of fandom) and i re-obsessed over this thing that i never even un-obsessed with(?). I got into some more musicals, saw sone bootlegs ykyk. Beetlejuice had a local production and i alsi went to see sister act, little shop if horrors and frozen on ice (this was the girst one i saw in English). 2020 came and with it: covid. I got into other fandoms thinking i cant go see musicals anyway. I have given up to find movies of musicals and i had no idea the bootlegs were a thing. I only ever tried to find snt that i know now is called a bootleg for stex and i didnt find anyghing so naturaly i never tried again lmao. With other fandoms coming along, i started to leave starlight express behind. And so tiktok cames back into play. Dream smp. I had no fucking clue what these people that i kept getting on my fy were. It took me a really depressing gnf fanart to finally give in and get into that fandom that pushed everything else of my for you page. That’s when maria Reynolds walked into my life (sorry i had to say this). You probably know how the whole L’Manberg arc started with hamilton being watchable. So i not only got into the dream smp (and let me tell you i was down bad for the dsmp) but even more into Hamilton. It was only about a year ago i started realising i was gay and then this actress is introduced to me and she is so fucking hot and i thought i was envying her but it turns out it was just me being really fucking gay-. I started translating it and you know the rest. Well basically what happened then was me realising that i love musicals. Ive seen a lot of musicals but that never really,,, conected(?) in my brain… ig. And there is went obsessing over musicals as a whole. I knew english at this point btw. In 2022 our local theatre opened again because it was mainly outdors so yeah yk.

I was falling into a major depression at the time shutting myself off since quarantine yk. So my mom forced me out of my room. And suprise suprise it was the best thing that could have happened to me. Little shop of horrors opened again wooo. Anyway so i tried to find more and more musicals also on tiktok and i saw newsies. I was avoiding it for a good three months but i don’t remember why and i know love it more than myself lmao. Anyway uk’sies became a thing and so newsies started trending and it was watched a lot more and so it showed up on my disney+. I went “oh fuck it let’s give it a try” and have never been the same lol.

Yeah and you know the rest.

So yes. When i say that the dream smp connects to newsies for me, that’s not a joke.

Howling Stars Au

Hello.

Howling Stars is a fanfic of a mix with Crane Wives (the band) and Life Series, with Scott and Pearl as the lead singer and Impulse and Gem as the instrument department. Here are some clarifications of everyone’s personalities.

Scott Smajor

Basically he’s Last Life Scott and has ties with Pearl. He enjoys singing and wears his Third Life skin most of the time.

Pearlescentmoon

Pearl is Double Life/Limited Life Pearl. Her emotions are bent on the path of destruction (she sent so many people to the infirmary) and she’s extremely unstable. She also likes playing the guitar and annoying Scott by breaking them.

Geminitay

Gem is her Secret Life self. She plays more like a guitarist/other role in the group. She owns multiple instruments in her room, including a violin (for Icarus) and a cabasa for multiple occasions (I’ve been calling it the shooka shooka thing when I didn’t know the name at first)

ImpulseSV

Impulse has leftover feelings with Team TIES, therefor he’s Limited Life Impulse. He specialises in the drums and that’s basically his whole job.

Others:

3L!Grian

Grian stays in his Third Life self. He likes joking with Scar and making him confused.

3L!Scar (GoodTimesWithScar)

As expected, he often runs around naked. On some special occasions he would at least wear a cape but he usually refuses.

LimL/3L!Martyn (InTheLittleWood)

He’s obsessed with Ren and as in the love kind (Joel has repeatedly caught the pair lip-locking in the males’ toilet). He also likes to set up traps as a prank and likes drama.

3L!Ren (RenTheDog)

As to Martyn, he’s also kinda in love with him. He also wears a stupid bedsheet as a cape and would run around in a cardboard crown screaming “Red Winter Is Coming!!!” and scare the hell outta people.

SL!Joel (Smallishbeans)

As the gossip queen and the bad boy with the most chill, he would wander around the base and he enjoys spreading rumours. He has a secret crush on Etho but never tells him. He’s also convinced that violence is the solution to everything. Literally.

Etho (Ethoslab)

Etho and Bdubs have a close relationship with each other, and also knows that he is constantly being shipped with Joel. He still acts as the “Absent Father”.

LimL!Cleo (ZombieCleo)

She treats Scar and Bdubs like her sons and has some beef with Etho most of the time.

LimL!Bdubs (BDouble0010)

Bdubs is like the chaos sibling but with hyper energy. He is friends with Tango and Skizz (or Team TIES) and is often made fun of him height (being 6’5)

DL/LL!Tango (TangoTek)

Being Tango, he likes redstone and often tampers with the base’s redstone system. He has a crush on Jimmy (Ranchers) and is half blaze.

DL!Jimmy (SolidarityGaming)

Jimmy has a crush on Tango and sticks to him most of the time. He even attends TIES meetings with him.

LL/LimL!Skizz (Skizzleman)

Skizz is also part of TIES and is usually carefree and happy most of the time, but gets angry really easy.

SL!BigB (No. I will not type his username.)

He would take every possible opportunity to gaslight people. For fun.

Lizzie (LDShadowLady)

Lizzie usually wanders around with Joel but will sometimes stay in the base garden for hours. She also knows about the SmallEtho ship and slightly dislikes Etho for that cause.

Mumbo (MumboJumbo)

Mumbo’s main role is the engineer, and he also likes playing with redstone. He also has a mini Grumbot toy.

Watchers and Listeners (OCs):

Ruby

Ruby is a Watcher who likes music and arts. She also has a short temper and is usually likely to lose it on Winter.

Winter

Winter is a Listener. He enjoys drama and is the only one in the latter who actually talks sense.

Shi

Shi (putonghua pinyin for “vision” 視) is a talkative and snappy Watcher. He is also violent and tough, often starting fights.

Marilyn

Marilyn is a Listener. She is the gossip queen among the four and is usually the one to spread rumours. She also likes music.
