stampede saturday means stampede thoughts so here they are for week 7!

growing worried abt what the writers r gnna do w livio, i got baited i cant lie but i am making a lot of "hmm" noises into what theyr implying

meryl n rob lying abt being from an outlaw magazine so the bad lads dont kill them then vash making his presence known by absolutely mowing thru them was MUCH needed comedic relief, rob was good in this ep as well i love when he gets all pathetic and whiney its good

finally some acknowledgement for how meryl dropped tonis lol, i like that its actually affecting her n pushing her motivation a bit, good stuff

wolfwood n vash holding up the canon on their own (ig w the help of the anchors) was so stupid i cant lie but i like that level of silliness a bit. it made me giggle.

nick huffing about "im nicholas the punisher! im the punisher" was rlly funny. i get he (believes he) just watched his brother off himself but it came across as him psyching himself up n it made me laugh

lots of Anime Logic this ep too it got a good haha and teehee out of me. i love the excitement of watching physically impossible shenanigans for the sake of saving the day. im here for it

oh me too.... I don't think there's a single character thats NOT a hot mess, and theres so many of them that it would have a few full seasons of shenanigans. the character dynamics...

-everyone having a crush on pereskia. (she is extremely aro and too focused on Important Matters to actually notice)

-arilla doing way more jobs than he SHOULD be and being an exasperated babysitter to everyone. please just let him eat an entire cake alone and drop into a food coma. thats all he wants hes already half dead!! let him rest!!!

-queen's the horribly demanding boss that you dont want to say no to, because..she IS nice, don't wanna hurt her FEELINGS, but...my goodness she asks a LOT. but she asks it so nicely!!! (the running gag of her being so proper and pretty in public vs in the lab when shes a mess, too) + queen and arilla both being the worst at fighting. the episode where pereskia, worried queen might not do so well if shes not there to act as a body guard, tries to teach her to fight and its the most pathetic flailing youve ever seen in your life. she gets a LITTLE sweaty and just curls up bc its TOO HARD and shes SORE and doesnt want to be sweaty anymore :( (she has done (1) push-up, with shaky arms)

-sapote and cara being an entire comedic duo. cara's culture shock abt the aliens vs sapote never being shocked by humans bc shes so down for anything. (all of the other aliens are shocked by how unphased sapote always is) sapote and her sister being SOOO opposites (her sister is older, more mature, and way sweeter. and also a crybaby) +the daycare shenanigans vs how...it would very quickly devolve into an r rated series if sapote was the main focus and we werent around any kid or teen charas jkdhfkj it would turn into. magical girl rick and morty im sorry to say but its the truth

-saguaro and queen's little passive aggressive talks every time they speak to each other. 'oh im sorry was it SCIENCE that brought deep blue back the first time? noo it was the miracle of mew aqua miss queen ^_^' 'mew aqua IS science from our ancestors ^_^' 'no, i think you're mistaken! there's no way thats true it was a gift from deep blue ^___^' ...everyone deciding saguaro is a weirdo (they are ALL weirdos) but then it cuts to saguaro explaining WHY they do things in their particular way (explaining deep blue cult stuff) and its like oh ok! theres an entire cult on this ship! haha thats probably fine! but they keep insisting its SUPER normal guys cmon. also using it to justify anything they do. deep blue sama WOULD want you to give them that bag of tea and pastries u stole from the cafe btw he told them himself. not lying btw. true and if you dont well. PERHAPS deep blue will tell them to put a tack on your chair.

-erdisia having to take a workplace sensitivity class bc she keeps trash talking humans. sure, we want to kill ALL OF THEM, but! you ought to speak nicer abt them when cara's around!!! :/ (none of them see the irony in this btw except arilla whos regularly just staring directly into the camera like :\ ) every ep she tries to sabotage cara so SHE can work with sapote senpai instead. this is always thwarted in extremely looney toons fashion and its so frustrating to her but hilarious to watch. tunillo is in the same sensitivity class. but they, and this is important, cannot STAND each other and refuse to believe they have any of the same issues (or their humanphobia is even an issue)

-tunillo refusing to sleep for a week and starts being increasingly paranoid and hallucinating things on the screens he monitors bc hes so sleep deprived. so every other hour hes setting off red alerts and everyones panicked trying to find the. fake threats...that increasingly become more absurd...but by the end everyones incredibly unhinged and worn out by the end because theyve been on high alert all day...so they dont believe tunillo when he spots team tm2 actually breaking into the ship HAHA

-cara catches a (mild, normal) human cold, and everyone else catches it and are convinced theyre gonna die of Human Cooties. rip. and like, queen is a doctor. like, shes a scientist, and shes a doctor, technically speaking! but no one with a brain* TRUSTS her to do regular doctor things (*sapote and arilla are outliers adn should not be counted.) but in the event of everyone getting sick, she WANTS to play doctor!!! please just let her poke you with a LITTLE needle 🥺 she wont do anything weird she promisessss u wont wake up tomorrow glowing purple or anything 🥺🥺🥺

-cara calling tunillo an incel gamer type and he has NO idea what ANY of those DIRTY EARTH WORDS mean but hes SO insulted bc of her tone that he goes and rats on her to queen. queens like, cara honey sweetie my dear little snake child. what does gamer mean? and cara turning red trying not to to laugh. and shes like ohh no worries maam. gamer is a COMPLIMENT. and her and sapote and arilla are trying SO hard. so hard. not to laugh bc queen spends the week telling everyone theyre being such GOOD gamers!!!

-sapote continuing to bring human things on the ship, and people asking cara what they are since shes their resident human. and cara just starts, at some point. lying? for her own entertainment? theres not much else To Do when ur So Watched all the time. so its like oh yeah! well THAT is an item of HUGE importance to us, used in very sacred ceremonies. very ancient and beloved. and it cuts to a shot of a toilet plunger.

-cara and sapote dont have clearance to certain areas. (cara even less than sapote!) they want to GO in certain areas sometimes. (well. sapote does, and cara is obligated to follow her) so it stands to reason they just. they just gotta get the fingerprint of someone who DOES have that clearance! like arilla! sapote knocks him over the head and the entire episode is them trying to weekend at burnies him around to explore the ships more closed off areas. but they keep being stopped by EVERYONE because EVERYONE needs SOMETHING from arilla, all of the time. forever.

-the running joke of erdisia being some kind of Creeture, like. why is she like that in general? crouched in the rafters hissing. can someone get her down. shes tiny but so so so mean. there would be erdisia roast comp videos of all her sickest burns.

-all of them enabling each others worst behaviors. its like if its always sunny was set in a scifi setting. an episode where mira gets kidnapped or something and is like wow! all of you are really messed up :/

-...the quiche commentary corner where it cuts to him in his cell making comments on everything (dont ask how he can know whats going on. its not important whats important are his opinions) he hears abt mira and is like ohh. so. do you think them having a mew kid is gonna add stress? to like, ichigo and masaya's marriage? u think theres a chance of divorce? think I got a shot maybe? ik its been 20+ years but 🤔 instead of caring abt the drama of queens upper circle, LMAO

ML AU: Childhood Soulmates: NY Special

(Spoilers below. But you bet your A** I had to do this.)

Okay so takes place after Miracle Queen (I am probably gonna retcon the Chat blanc episode version)

-So  just to be clear, Loveater and Miracle Queen end much differently in the au So naturally the special will change a Lot because of it.

-Chat noir still gives Ladybug the Yellow rose, as a token of friendship. Because he is cheesy like that. Ladybug smiles and thanks him for it.

-The class still gets to go to NY because of Paris America friendship day.

- Marinette still is hyped and ready to convince Gabriel that Adrien should go with the class. (Marinette is Processing her feelings, because ever since her talk with Kagami as Ladybug, she realized Adrien might be in love with her. Or, in love with another girl. Due to the stress of everything that day she actually cant remember the details. And she now thinks she could be wrong.)

-Adrien is bummed because he cant leave Paris with Marinette and his friends. Kagami whoops his butt.

-Kagami tries to cheer him up “Maybe when she gets back you will actually confess. and I can have a decent fight again.” No cheek kiss, cause Kagami knows.

-Gabriel agrees to Marinette’s request because he has a reason to now. Plus convenience.

-Adrien is ready to decline it, But Plagg really sells him on the idea. Plus. “What could be more romantic then confessing to your true love in another country?”

-Adrien complies, only because he is sure he can get back to paris quickly.

- Marinette now realizing that this might be a chance to finally confess how she feels... And that kind of freaks her out a lot. Maybe she shouldn’t confess. Afterall, they can just go sight seeing like friends do. But first she needs to make sure Paris is in good hands.

-Cue the ladybug and Chat noir rooftop scene. No romantic teasing. Chat noir promises her that Paris will be fine.

- Marinette was late but thanks to Luka, she was on time.

-Luka wishes her luck. (No cheek kiss for him) But a hug as thanks.

-Marinette makes it on the bus and Alya teases her. Marinette tells Alya that this is just going to be a nice fun trip. No romance, just hanging out with her best friends, there wont be a single romantic event.

-Alya rolls her eyes. “Sure there wont be”

- Marinette ends up sitting next to Adrien on the plane. Its awkward on both their fronts.

-Because Adrien wants to confess, but also feels this bit of guilt creeping on him

-Marinette feels this tension and cue the Hi-jinx.

-Marinette ends up in the front of the plane because of shenanigans. Her using this time to reassess. Adrien is her best friend, her childhood best friend. Yes, she loves him. But does that mean in a romantic light? Is he really in love with her?

-She gets up and watches the sunset, along with adrien.

-The two share a moment. Adrien decides now is the time.

-Adrien is about to confess, when Supervillain attack!

-The heroes saving the day is unchanged

-Adrien now feels even more guilty and almost gets ready to double back to paris, but Plagg tells him its fine.

-They get to the hotel. Aeon sees Marinette and Adrien. (Those two are made for eachother.) Jess agrees.

-Door problems.

- More confident Sabrina catches the eye of American Boy. Max notices, and is slightly jelly. (Yes Sabrimax is a thing in this au. Dont @ me)

-Chloé is a lot more hostile. She and Sabrina butt heads.

-Marinette and Adrien end up meeting Aeon and Jess.

-Adrien does the introductions.

-”Im Adrien, and this is my future wife, Marinette.”

-Aeon is super happy about this. Jess felt her eyes go wide

-Marinette usually a comedic yelling adrien and telling him to knock it off while he chuckles is not there. Marinette is just super red and silent. Adrien is confused. But then turns red correcting it himself.

-”Actually she is my childhood friend, Marinette.”

- Aeon almost Squees.

-”See Jess! I knew it”

-”Anyway, sorry for interrupting..”

-Jess helps them out.

-So they have fun at the party and Nino does his bro move with the hotdogs.

-Cue floating Adrinette Dancing scene. (Adrien realizes this was the perfect moment to confess and beats himself up over it later. He thought now wasnt the time because with how weird marinette was acting earlier.)

- Jess and Aeon are now team adrinette and Totally collude with Alya and Nino to put them in danger.

-Cue sh*t hitting the fan with Akuma techno pirate and Sentimonster Robustus back in paris.

-Chat noir realizes he Super f***ed up bad. (Pretty much everything happens the same way in canon.)

-Ladybug gives him a earful just as she did in canon because ‘He deserved it’ adrien knew that was true.

-Aeon almost gets destroyed like before.

-Ladybug and Chat noir have to flee.

- Adrien feels even worse, because he adds on the guilt of putting in paris in danger just to be with Marinette. How could he be chat noir after this massive f*** up. He was selfish, arrogant, and completely destroyed his partnership with ladybug. He renounces his miraculous and runs off. He wasnt worthy of being chat noir.

-Ladybug is devastated.

-Adrien going into the car just like in canon. He cant even look Marinette in the eyes, he is so ashamed of himself.

-Alya tells Marinette that is this really how she wanted this to end. That she is fine with this?

-Cue bike scene and her crash. Where Marinette really grasps it. She does love her best friend. And it just hurts more now with everything on her mind, and with chat noir.

-The stuff with the other heroes is pretty much identical, including Hawkmoth akumatizing and giving the eagle miraculous to Techno-pirate.

- Aeon of course finds Adrien and has a bit of a tougher time convincing him. But she does it with the recording. He thanks her and they head out

-Ladybug and Chat noir reunite. Chat noir appologizing. Ladybug telling him to NEVER do that to her again. They are a team.

-The plan is pretty much the same and they defeat him the same way.

- Aeon offers to delete her memory of their identities and Ladybug and Chat noir thank them.

-”It is fitting that its you who is under the mask. You both are incredible together.”

-”What does that mean?” Chat noir is perplexed.

-”Dont worry about it.” She giggles.

-Chat noir heads off.

-Marinette and the class do the Banner for Adrien.

-Adrien is happy about it.

-”I will tell Marinette how I feel. But next time, I wont compromise being a hero to do it.”

-Plagg pats his kitten.

First off, i need to say that i am australian, and i also study film and editing as a side passion, this is critisism coming from a guy who literally studies how to make a good film based on editing, anyway, onto my angry rant

How come every australian made film or series is filmed the exact same

Im aussi, and i want some fekin variety. I dont want the light blue-grey overwash over a dramatic scene of someone being yelled at with no music wHAT SO FUCKING EVER

FIRST OFF, why the FUCK is there barely any aboriginals or POC people in them. Majority of the time im watching a series or film, i dont see a single person that isnt white, or if i do they plat a very unsignifiant role. The only time i see a solid amount of POC representation is if the film is literally based on aboriginal dream time stories (tiddalick the frog, how the echidna got the spikes, etc) but those are usually kids shows. The non-animated shows usally have no fucking representation

And dont get me fUCKIG STARTED on how theres no LGBTQ+ rep, or if there is, its ONLY a nonbinary lesbian with a dark blue terf haircut, and theyre only there to be a punchline. Theres no fucking variety.

And im saying specifically aussi films/series bc i want to consume content from my country (im a drama student so i like seeing how the standard of work would be), but i get so bored while watching it bc the editings always super confusing and boring and the angles are just,,, no, they do the repeating shots where it shows one persons face than the other, THERES NO INTERESTING ANGLES, NO LOW OR HIGH SHOTS, JUST EYELEVEL ITS SO BORING TO LOOK AT. which, as a guy who likes studying film and stuff, is a massive no because it makes the editing look cluncky and boring, it dosnt appeal the audience visually at all, its just a big nono unless youre doing a comedic back and forth where its snappy and fast, the angles are different so its visually appealing

And theres always just a blue grey overtone over everything, or an ugly orange-brown overtone over it, its not visually pleasing to look at, and it makes the colours look either washed out or it turns everything look dusty

And, like i said before, THERES NO MUSIC. in a scene, if its suppost to be dramatic, like a guy digging his own grave for e.g. you add action packed songs, it just adds a sense of suspense to it, makes it sound good, makes you want to pay attention, but literally every single aussi production ive seen has the same thing

ALSO,,, THE MUMBLING. EVERYONE MUMBLES, ITS SO GOD DAMN QUIET I HAVE TO TURN THE VOLUME ALL THE WAY UP

WHY AM I LIKE THIS

whatever its too late now! you get to hear me talk about it to avoid writing it!!

So, i’ll be explaining the show for you newbs who dont watch power rangers like a smart person (as in the not watching it is smart). 

Power Rangers Mystic Force is, obviously, power rangers. It’s got the standard team of five with superpowers and weird biker-looking uniforms. 

If im honest, PRMF is literally just power rangers but with like fantasy magic.

It follows Nick Russell, the new guy in town. He’s a biker and he’s got this tragic bs backstory about how his parents abandoned him (update: they work overseas, they adopted him and like do not vibe with him)  and he travels, living with  family members and how he never sticks around long enough to make friends. We know he’s staying with his sister, and about nothing else. ~ Nick Russell is actually really important, of course, he is the Red Ranger and if we didn’t have the leader be angsty what kind of Power Rangers would we be, am I right? (i dunno i havent watched other power rangers in like ten years) ~

But we’ll come back to that. ~

There’s also Charlie “Chip” Thorn, a hyperactive hyperimaginative redhead with a love for fantasy and superheroes. He’s eager to join the team and loves the idea of quests and fighting villains and shit. He’s the Yellow Ranger, with Lightning Powers. ~

Vida Rocca, the ‘bad girl’. She has this one strip of her short hair that she dyes and may I just say when I finished the show a third time I couldnt not think ‘yO HER HAIR CHANGES TO SHOW HOW SHE FEELS ABOUT THE RANGERS’ but lets be honest thats probably bs lol. Anyways, she’s a DJ and she loves music, she’s the Pink Ranger (who hates pink for most of the show) with Wind Powers. ~

Madison Rocca, the ‘good girl’. She’s Vida’s sister, and she like following the rules and she enjoys recording her friends to make little videos for them to look back on when theyre older. She’s hesitant and cautious, but will do a lot to make sure her sister is safe. She’s the Blue Ranger, with the power of Water. ~

Xander Bly, he’s cocky and thinks hes all that, and flirts with women like every chance he gets. He thinks he’s super handsome and amazing and probably has a superiority complex for one reason or another. He’s the green ranger, with Nature Powers. ~

Not rangers include: ~

Koragg, one of the big bads who (SPOILERS) later turns out to be Nick’s father and Udonna’s long lost husband. Early on in the show he can telepathically communicate with Nick, which gives Nick these really really bad headaches, great for angst, it’s used as a bit of a plot device through a lot of the show and ngl I love it cause angst. ~

Uhh forgot her name but there’s the Vampire Queen who has bat wings on her hips and is in a full leather body suit. She’s kinda boring. ~

I forgot her name as well but the Vampire Queens daughter, who later goes on to save her mother because she realizes that the Rangers are the good guys and she’s on the wrong team.  ~

Udonna, the kinda ex White Ranger and a very powerful sorceress, as well as the Ranger’s trainer and Claire’s aunt. ~

Claire, (SPOILERS) who turns out to be the Daughter of Udonna’s sister, who was more powerful than her and sacrificed her life to seal the gate to what is essentially hell. She’s comedically bad at magic early in the show, and acts a lot like a comedic relief. ~

The Master, aka The Big Bad that the evil guys are trying to let free. Koragg before he became Koragg was trying to kill him and succeeded in trapping him further than all the others. He’s some weird tentical creepy muscles-showing no skinned weird i dunno i think i repressed this cause i forgot what he looks like lol.

Alright, so those are the characters. Now let me explain the plot.

Nick rides into town on his bike and is usually found set up outside the record shop that the rest of the Rangers (yet to be) work at. Btw, theyre all teenagers, but I think this takes place in summer cause we never see them go to school. 

Anyways, this old man calls for somebody to help him, and says that his brother and him were walking through the woods and somebody grabbed him, and he needed somebody to go looking for his brother. Nick, not being apart of the town to know they have rumours about dying in the forest, offers to help.

Xander tells him the woods are haunted, he ignores the man saying the man needs help so who gives a shit about some rumours, and then Vida is like “i’ll help too,” and Chip joins in cause he thinks its gonna be some awesome quest. They make it out to the forest, and Maddie and Xander join them, (”Xander I told you if you ever took my car I’d rearrange your limbs!” -Vida, episode one).

The man is like super ominous and her vanishes once they get into the forest, this creepy witch lady saves them from some bad guys attempting to attack them, and then throws brooms at them that they fly off on. 

Time skip not actually in the show but im losing steam so we’re moving on. Eventually, they make it to RootCore, aka the base of operations, and meet Udonna and Claire. Udonna is this super powerful sorceress and the White Ranger, and she trains them. Claire is her apprentice who is comedically bad at magic.

She hands out wands to them, they go to leave, get into a fight, all of them but Nick believe in and use magic, Nick leaves the forest, Udonna fights Koragg and loses her staff aka her White Ranger magic, and the Rangers are left in charge of saving everybody. In the end, Nick goes to leave and ends up showing up anyways to save the rangers from Koragg and embraces the magic, becoming the Red Ranger.

That’s the gist of the first episode, and the rest is kinda just “fight the bad guys, discover random secrets that make a surprising amount of sense for a show like this, fail a couple times, do some weird shit then end on a happy note”

WHICH BTW THE ENDING? FUCKIN WEIRD

The fantasy creatures integrate with Humans, Vida dyes all her hair bright pink, Nick fucking leaves town and this is the weird part. Because for one, Nick wanted to stay with his friends it was obvious, but for two; the way he left was w e i r d . He, Udonna and not-evil-Koragg who I forgot the name of, leave together.

The end scene is Nick riding up to the edge of the rode on his Motorcycle, then it slowly pans out to show Udonna and Nek (im just calling him Nek as in not evil koragg now) on bikes as well?? one of them asks if hes ready to go and they ~ride off into the sunset~

For one: THESE ARE AGE OLD SORCERERS WHO HAVE VERY LITTLE IDEA ABOUT HUMAN TECH?? HOW DO THEY KNOW HOW TO RIDE??

For two: dID THEY JUST HAVE THESE BIKES RIDING AROUND?? AND THE HELMETS?? DID THEY SHELL OUT A BUNCH OF MONEY FOR THIS?? LITERALLY WHAT???

anyways, great show! youve gotta watch it on some.. less than legal sites but shh its okay shhhh. It used to be on Netflix but like yaknow, its gone now. Either way, it’s a great show in my opinion! Like I mean it’s bad cause Power Rangers, so to most who are looking to critique there’s probably shit acting, and there’s a lot of not needed grunting in battle, the effects are shitty and the costumes are kinda depressing, but it’s still enjoyable! 

Random Facts-- ~

Vida hates Pink, despite being the pink ranger. ~

Chip, Vida, and Maddie have been friends since either kindergarten or elementary school, i dunno about Xander. ~

They all work at a Record Shop/Music Shop together, and their boss is an idiot but kinda entertaining. ~

Vida turns into a vampire for about two episodes, and Chip is the one to figure it out. ~

Maddie gets turned to stone because Nick essentially calls her useless and shy, and so she went out to prove otherwise, and got caught up in an attack. ~

Chip opens a weird black bottle he found after a battle and some weird thing comes out and attacks him, he spends the B Plot of that episode quite literally dying with his soul being eaten and climbing a mountain to get the cure. ~

Koragg has a really dumb moral code about how he only fights with Honor and refuses to kill the rangers most of the time because its “not honorable” for some reason or another. ~

There’s an episode where Xander gets this really really ugly and big zit right on the tip of his nose, and he uses this perfection potion Claire made for plants. He proceeds to turn into a literal tree and be depressed. ~

There’s a Troblin, the child of a Troll and a Goblin, named Phineas who’s very entertaining and I like this. By the end of the show, he ends up dating the daughter of the Vampire Queen which when you think too hard about makes no sense. ~

Nick turns into Koragg at one point late in the series. I completely fucking forgot how, but he does lol.

Character ask - Finn

This ended up being so fucking negative and I’m not even sorry about it lol. I really don’t like Finn and didn’t make it a secret here. So I’m hiding this one under a cut so no one will read it if they don’t want to. You have been warned 

Why I like them: He had his good moments. I liked how he helped Artie in 4x12 and Unique in 4x06. Or at least tried to. I even like him in 3x09 though that’s more about how sad the episode is in hindsight. Honestly I think the only thing I really like about Finn is Cory. Why I don’t: Finn isn’t Cory, Cory isn’t Finn. I never liked Finn as a person, as a character, anything. F slur, R slur, beating up a sex worker, the serial cheating, the gross misogyny, anger issues, blah blah blah. I’ve said it all before. He’s such a little bitch and he pisses me off more than anyone bc no matter what shit he does, he’s framed as the hero. He can do the absolute bare minimum, or do absolutely nothing, or be openly antagonistic, but if he has like one nice line or sings a song then he’s the hero of the story. Outs Santana? Sing a song, become the hero. Refuses to stand up for Kurt when literally everyone else in the club did? Sing a song, become the hero.

He takes the longest out of almost any of the popular kids to choose glee over football, yet he’s painted as the hero that united both cliques from the start. He doesn’t do anything helpful unless it’ll also help his reputation or make him look like the “glee stud”. And even when he fucks up and everyone knows he fucked up, it’s completely erased by his death. Saying he didn’t mean it when he used the F word, or Sue saying he didn’t have a single hateful bone in his body when he clearly fucking did. And then using his death to turn him into some borderline super hero who ushered everyone into a new age of unity and harmony and all that bullshit. I know his death was tragic and The Quarterback was a sad episode and it was for the cast to grieve, but I’m so over hyping up mediocre men who were decent people at best. Sorry bout it

except Remus seemingly randomly comes out with a video that’s making a (nearly exact so much it’s almost creepy) replica of Roman Valdez, popular YouTube star, whom he’s never brought up on the channel Ever before, for no other reason offered than “i just really hate the guy and i have some of his hair so we’re gonna make this and try to control him to sabotage his career let’s go, bitches” or some shit like that. Absolutely refuses to explain how he got the hair. IRL, he just snuck into Roman’s room in the middle of the night and cut a chunk out of the back of Roman’s hairline whilst his bro was asleep (in a very Remus fashion) but the fans dont know that and they go Absolutely Ape Shit.

Remus starts a new phase that accidentally goes Super Viral where people make dolls of other real people and there are some super cool results but then it unfortunately goes Really Bad because people actually try and get like hair and stuff from the Real People and Remus nearly ends up with legal matters on his hands which he is very much Not Prepared for. Fortunately though, the trend dies down quick enough that it doesnt go that far (his fans probably recognise that he’s really not coping with the matter very well as the videos go along - i imagine (kinda like that rly cute intruality baking au that was drifting around a while ago which i love) that Remus uses his doll customising to keep his hands busy and instrusive thoughts in check) and like everything gets borderline nasty (content-wise) as he���s trying to keep on top of things in his personal life and like, he always puts the appropriate trigger warnings at the start of his videos because he knows what that feeling’s like, yknow; but it’s usually quite rare. It super starts ramping up until almost every video consistantly has at least a handful of warnings. his viewers discuss in the comments how it’s a wonder that he’s not getting demonetized a lot. Remus doesnt say anything about it publically... but he totally is. And he’s just pushing through it because his mindset is ‘there’s got to be another side and i know i’ll get there eventually if i put my head down’ and OOPS this got angsty real quick

yeah but basically his community manage to tamp down on the trend and Remus can Cope better again.

The reveal of Remus (who has never revealed anything about his personal life apart from that his first name was Remus and that was actually a Mistake in itself, but as soon as his name was revealed he started actually showing his face too) and Roman (completely overshares (almost lmao) every facet of his life, must always be on camera, life of the party kinda guy) are related is done on videos uploaded simultaneously, where they seem like normal videos but half-way through the opposite brother will kick down the door and scream about being finally let out of the basement or something and they just shout BRO back and forth deadpan at each other for like half a minute straight before the brother leaves and  the video cuts back to normal with a one line apology like “sorry about my brother. Anyway-”

Remus is teaching him how to make doll-sized clothes. It’s actually quite wholesome. His comment section has a running meme about ‘now they finally know what Remus looks like without the moustache’ bc they tried to make him shave a few times and Remus Refused (he will probably do it once for charity in the future. The next video he will appear with a awful quality fake moustache that is Even Worse than his normal one. His fans dont ask again sdhgashg) Roman always makes sure his brother’s appearances are well documented bc he strives to have a family friendly channel and his brother’s appearance always brings the video up to at least a PG rating dgajhlghlh

SUPER LONG READ: I just cannot bring myself to watch the finale & feel the need to vent..........First things first: I absolutely love the cast of good girls: Retta, Christina, Matthew lillard ( I know what you’re thinking: Dean’s straight up trash but Matt is great) and of course, MANNY mother freaking MONTANA, who in my opinion, is singlehandledly carrying this show on his sexy shoulders, week in and week out, season after season. It’s not up for debate. if he ever left the show, I’d be curious to see the viewing results. It’s not the acting that I have an issue with, but everything to do with the writing. Season 1 was just chef’s kiss!!! The cliff hanger finale: does beth shoot dean, Rio, anyone? We got to see the dichotomy that is beth Boland who proved to be more than just a step Ford wife cliche who did crafts and baked treats all while dealing with a cheating husband who lies about having cancer. I rooted for her and lived for those moments where she was stepping into becoming bad bitch Boland. Remember when she poured that bag of money in deans lap and for a brief moment saw greatness or her “quick on her feet” thinking in times of crisis. Being Rios protege was awesome to watch and it wasn’t hard to justify why Rio didn’t kill her ( now, not so much) had she been ANYBODY else (ahem, Mary pat). Ruby ( what a gem in first season) the lengths that she would go for her man and her daughter, and not to mention had no qualms about checking Beth when needed. Remember when she shot that man in the foot in Canada ☠️. Her strength and comedic relief? Yes, please. I so wish that would’ve continued. Also, she was me upon learning about gang friend getting into Beth!!! 😂 Rio Rio, Rio: ( if that’s even his real name) first things first: It’s rare that I’ve been so captivated by a character RIGHT off the bat as Rio.. usually characters have to grow on me. I mean, I was just as shocked as Beth was when she walked in to see him just chilling on the kitchen counter like his name was on the deed. I was turned on, terrified, and intrigued by his calm, mysterious demeanor that somehow left no question that he was the boss. Not to mention how fine he is, but more importantly how he moved like a fluid cheetah zeroing in on his next prey. It’s amazing the depth manny brings to the character because , when I’m honest with myself, it’s not so much manny that I’m necessarily attracted to as much as it is Rio. I loved how even though we were literally only thrown scraps of info about him, the clearer it became that he was So much more than the generic played out gangster role so typically seen. At first, I was confused with the whole tennis playing at the country club, like, “wheettt?!!! With the eagle neck tat and all!! Who ARE you?!!!!! I realized that scene was actually very on brand for Rio who we find out later is “rich bitch Rio & made so much more sense when seeing rio’s place after Beth’s breaking and entering fiasco. I was like, ooohhhhh, so you’re on a totally different wave/ grown and sexy , okay!! I’m in love. Again, I wanted to know more. And then how could I forget the “surprise, I’ve got a son named Marcus “ scene in the park.....I tell you I was beth, ruby and Annie when their mouths dropped on the bench. But when the other story lines are stale: deans cheating behind with no remorse or accountability who has the audacity to turn his nose down at Rio who from what we have seen, knows how to take care of business (in all aspects). To be fair, I’m certain that no one was really expecting the magic to play out as it did and the tornado known as brio wasn’t initially taken into account which has to be the reason for the underwhelming sub par clean up job from the tragedy that is the season 2 finale. They literally could have came up with anything, I repeat, anything and I’m sure we all would’ve taken it and ran with it, I saw many theories during the off-season and thinking some were far out but figured what the heck, we’d roll with them to salvage the wreckage as long as Rio didn’t die...they had time to brainstorm, read some fan fiction, SOMETHING, but no instead we get a cold hearted Beth who has NO remorse and NO clue how to make even one good decision, a faked pregnancy, Turner dead 🤭but wait here's another another FBI agent🤔), and of course more dean stupidity, not to mention the whole hitman nonsense. The problem with trying to make Rio the “bad guy villain”, is that it’s nothing new. Hello?!! That’s not breaking news!!!!! We knew what time it was back in season 1. We knew how he preferred taking care of bad eggs, etc. Beth knew this, too which is exactly why she refused to give him Mary Pat's name. & do y’all remember when Beth threw those keys in his face??!! Tell me you weren’t scared for her!!! The point being is that it didn’t stop us from watching then and it certainly didn’t stop beth from not only wanting to be a part of his organization but wanting to get her groove back as well. But now, the whole “ we’re good people, Rios the devil “ nonsense is weak, we don’t want to see them pretend to be mother Teresa’s all while racking up racketeering charges. What we want to see, or what I wanted to see, was women bouncing back from hard times, taking control & responsibility, finding freedom and spines, sisterhood, empowerment with a little humor & breaking the rules on the side. There has been no tying up loose ends with boomer, the cancer lie, dealing with the shooting aftermath or the emotions ( or lack thereof) I’m not really sure what the endgame is here. Do they want to dead Brio/ Rio for good so they can go back to the original plans/ plot they had before said chemistry blew that outta the water? what Was supposed to happen in the missing episodes due to Covid shortening the season. I’m torn because there is so much potential and there’s so much talent and chemistry, yet instead of being sucked in, I’m honestly dreading waisting my time being emotionally invested into a lack luster show ending. And now witSo it’s like the ending of last season all over again when they didn’t know if they were renewing for another season and we were left with one big jumbled up mess. I guess I’ll finish it since there’s hope for redemption with a new season. i Sometimes sit and daydream how dope It would be to have spin-off show with Rio, new writers, and to be honest, as much as I love their chemistry, Beth could be optional at this point. I guess time will tell if this show can be redeemed to its full potential or be another canceled disaster that ran off the tracks. ok, i feel like i kind of have to say this because the biggest stereotype of entps is that we’re argumentative... but im not that. i try to be very openminded and i hear people’s arguments before deciding on a stance (a lot of times, my opinion changes every time i talk about the topic. unless the topic, itself, is dumb. then i’ll be comedically stubborn (cereal’s a fucking soup, ok?)) and i’m also weirdly sensitive to other people’s emotions and i try not to say stuff that i know will offend them. i do thoroughly enjoy correcting people though. and debates are still very fun for me... a lot of times i come off as enfp/infp because im very excited/bubbly (when im horny (all the time)) and im very caring with my friends/family but i did my research and im definitely entp. im hella disorganized and i hate commitment (once i like you, though, prepare for me to sacrifice my life for you).

im good with other people’s emotions but the part i struggle with is managing/expressing my own. ive been told by multiple people that im very cold, which always surprises me because i try to act really “out there” with friends. i never dont expect them to see through it. most of the times, though, im not sure what people think of me. i kind of have a lot of different personalities that just ~materialize~ when im talking to a different person (woo defense mechanisms). one thing people dont realize is that im sarcastic but only with people i like. oh... yeah, when i have a crush on someone, i like to tease them. but im also stupid so sometimes i end up offending them instead of being lighthearted like with my friends (sometimes, but rarely, i will go too far with my friends too. even when i try not to). its my way of trying to reach out to them and show them im cool but it painfully backfires every. single. time.

💩 This saves the backstory for later, but rest assured it is very much a 💩. It particularly loves RPG stats because how else could you tell that someone’s awesome.

💩💩 It’s also particularly in the Shield Hero vein, i.e. written by someone who got their lunch money stolen a couple of times too many and is now getting revenge by annoying the shit out of me with shitty self-insert fiction.

💩💩 While powering up in the darkness the dude gets white hair and GUN’s so I think it’s safe to say that this is featuring Donte from the Devil May Cry series. 

💩 There’s some bits of the ol’ THIS CHAIR suffering monologues. Which Higurashi ripped off from Tsukihime, then got ripped off by Re: Zero and now every Web Novel hack thinks it’s très deep.

💩💩 I was about to say that it’s visually whatever (i.e., mostly too dark to make out how bad it looks), but then the CG monsters appeared and OH BOY.

❓ A portal to the fairy dimension opened and now we have FAIRY CRIME. A loose cannon cop with nothing to lose gets paired up with a haughty fairy princess to get to the bottom of FAIRY CRIME.

✅ If this all sounds vaguely familiar, yeah it’s the FMP guy writing a love letter to 80s buddy cop movies. It has absolutely all the clichees of that genre, but since it’s not a genre I see every day that’s okay and in fact a little bit novel again. I did not watch Bright.

✅ It’s pretty competent at it too, the leads have good chemistry and the tone is good. It’s more serious than something like Red Heat, I’d compare it more to Lethal Weapon.

♎ Directed by Shin Itagaki, who does a competent job with the first episode but is known to be involved with production disasters lately. There’s already signs of slight jank and I hope this doesn’t fall apart really quickly.

Ensemble Stars!

❓ Nondescript girl enters idol school, which happens to be full of hunky boys. Things happen and she joins a movement to seize the means of stage production.

❌ The first half of this episode is just dreadfully dull, generic and features one of the most annoying genkiboys ever on top of it. And going by the old rule that if idol shows must have a producer it has to be a memorable one, Ensemble Stars scores a big fat zero because that girl is a void.

✅ However, then it turns out that this is also a fighting shounen somehow, because part of idol curriculum is hitting each other with guitars. Not to mention that we then reveal that there’s a revolution brewing because the system is corrupt and rigged.

♎ So yeah, there’s some shit going on in this show and it’s quite amusing. I’m just somehow not convinced that it’s more than window dressing because the basics are so bad. 

♎ Even if it turns out to be Revue Starlight (which it won’t), that one was well made enough to beat Ikuhara at his own game. Ensemble Stars doesn’t have the money or the style.

Kochoki - Wakaki Nobunaga

❓ Before Oda Nobunaga became a warlord and recurring anime character, he apparently was a smart teen with a propensity to not wear shirts.

♎ This is about as good as an anime about a teen Nobunaga getting up to Tom Sawyer adventures while not wearing a shirt could probably be. Which is to say, it’s not as terrible as it sounds.

✅ In particular, the character writing is decent. I can imagine that this can actually pull of drawing a throughline from these silly adventures to the Nobunaga we know and don’t want to see any more of in fiction ever.

♎ Yeah, it’s basically alright-ish but you really, really have to care about these Sengoku clowns to get anything out of it. I still don’t.

Nakanohito Genome [Jikkyouchuu]

❓ It’s Danganronpa, only about a bunch of streamers, LPers and speedrunners stuck in an MMO. Because 2019.

♎ Why not a turd? Well, isekai is so rigid as a genre that something that isn’t about some dude getting hax & harem barely seems to count anymore.

♎ Still, this setup is so brazenly shameless and idiotic that I can’t help but respect the hustle.

✅ There’s some neat SHAFT-y visuals going on here, reminiscent of how Reincarnated as a Slime tried to pretend to not be the most boring thing ever.

❌ Kenjiro Tsuda is entirely wasted as the least threatening Monoalpaca ever. Please don’t give the guy comedic roles. The rest of the characters are very bland, which is not a good thing in a genre that thrives on its outsized personalities.

❌❌ I just realized I didn’t give this any double Xs, which it definitely deserves. Just look at this shit. The only upside is of course that this is SO dumb it could be the next Caligula or something.

❓ School idols. MIDDLE school idols. In the middle school idol club.

♎ This is another basically competent show that also doesn’t really feature anything to set it apart. They took a mobile game about middle school idols and animated it.

♎ Well okay, I have to admit that for a show about middle schoolers it features more yuri undertones than usual, and shows like this usually feature quite a bit of that.

♎ But yeah, apart from that... seems watchable but nothing special. Looks alright, characters are alright, everything’s just fine. But you have to be a REAL afficionado of the genre to bother.

Vinland Saga

❓ VIKINGS BRUH

✅ Not gonna lie, I was negatively predisposed towards this show because the manga is very popular with the intersection of MANIME idiots and viking-adjacent metalheads. So while this does feature some sick & gnarly viking fights right away, overall it’s more about people sitting around in Iceland being cold and miserable.

❌ So about these sick & gnarly viking fights though? Sorry to report they look very subpar, with a ton of floaty CG and not much of a point to them.

✅ Apart from that, it’s looking pretty good. Nothing really flashy, but I think Wit’s house look works pretty well here. Better than in Titans at least.

♎ That said... I don’t really find people being cold and miserable in Iceland all that compelling either. I understand that this is a huge saga that goes places, but that doesn’t get me all hyped right now. This is one of those times where I’d say this show is (probably?) good and a recommendation, but it’s not really something I feel compelled to watch because it would have to be outright brilliant to overcome my apathy towards the subject.

Charmed 02x02 Review

Y'all part of me just can't. Like the excitement and energy over this last episode is too much to keep inside. I am super ready to burst and super excited for episode 3. But I am just gonna say that overall I thought this episode was superb 8/10 only because I am saving my 9 and 10. But if I could I'd give it a 9 out of ten. There was only like a couple things I was nitpicky about and it's pretty standard tv logic stuff that most people overlook so dont come at me for it. So I am just gonna start like I always do except I cant just pick 3 likes and dislikes so I am just gonna list my likes some of the nitpicks and then some episode highlights.

Things I liked:

1. Hacy development

So no secret I am a hacy fan and I pretty much love any hacy content the show will give us but I really thought the show did so well this episode.

Originally, I thought the show was going to explore Macy's feelings through Dark!Harry, and in a way they have revealed them using Dark!Harry (Season 1 ended with us not sure if Macy felt anything for Harry, but knowing he had some feelings for her). I was worried there may be less hacy moments because they would keep most of the interaction between Dark!Harry and Macy. Even had me scared that Macy may be falling for Dark!Harry and not Harry proper. But no, they gave us Genuine Hacy.

The awkwardness of the interactions after the dream. That car ride was hilarious with the map and the radio (harry is still super at comedic relief in club and in car)

I mean it wasn't just tension. There was some fluff thrown in. Harry telling her to celebrate the victories and looking at her proudly. Which brings me to item 2.

2) I love what rupert does with his eyes between the two Harrys. Real harry (as macy put it) is so harmless looking. Those puppy eyes are adorable and rupert makes sure to have then turned up all the way when being real harry.

The only time Dark!harry makes soft eyes (well sort of) is the first time we see him with Macy, the initial moment in episode 1, and then when Maggie goes for a hug in this episode. He is just so taken off guard by the affection that his pretending-to-be-Harry-face slips and his eyes kind of go wide and they arent so narrowed and focused. Which makes me think he has not been hugged often or at all . . . That's sad. Then the switch when Maggie backs away. The eyes narrow again and he gets all mean. Just love that rupert can do things like that to give both characters distinctive enough feels that you can tell that dark!harry is acting.

3) Mel and Maggie bonding

So I really do hope that we get some Macy and Mel bonding, but I am happy anytime the show can deepen the bonds between the sisters. Maggie and Mel have a bit of a complicated relationship even though they grew up together. I mean especially from this episode we see and remember that Mel was the big sister for most of her life. She protected Maggie and seems to have acted like a second parent. It is sad that there dad really just turned out to be a bad dad. No reason behind it no, issues with Marisol other than apparently the ones he created on his own (which I will get into on my nitpicks). The fact this was just a loss for Maggie, and not just a loss as in she was the only one to feel something when Ray died but a loss of memories she thought she had and an idea of who her dad (a piece of her past), was sad but it actually gave us further insight into mel and Maggie's dynamics. First season we knew the rift between mel and Maggie was over Mel's obsession with and Mel's expectations of how Maggie should have acted and behaved. I think a lot of us chalked it up to Mel being controlling and having the oldest child attitude, but I think now we see there is more there. Mel seems to have spent a lot of time protecting Maggie and biting her tongue about certain aspects of thier lives and in a sense making sacrifices for her. So it makes sense she would expect the same from Maggie, but at the same time Maggie didnt know, and even if she did thise were Mel's choices and Maggie doesnt owe her anything for them.

Knowing that we can see how it is so easy for riffs to form between them which make the start of this season make more sense to me. Because Maggie wants to live her life and is a trusting and positive person. Mel expects a certain level of loyalty and commitment and has a different idea of what that looks like compared to Maggie. On top of there general personality differences it makes sense they all that would culminate into a rocky relationship prone to communication difficulties and tifs. But I love that they are starting to acknowledge those things and rebuild. Last season it was them just getting over feeling abandoned by each other after the death of Marisol. This exposed deeper roots of the initial rift. I liked that.

4) I love that the Maggie and Mel still have Magic and even though though the active powers are gone they arent defenseless. They just need to be resourceful. I actually like this a lot and I feel gives the writers a lot of room to play with creative ways for the ladies to save other witches.

5) demon lore!!!! Okay so while season 1 seems mostly thrown out the lore actually explains season 1 demons better.

One of the issues I had was that there did not seem to be a synchronized front with the demons and they never explained why even though Alistair claimed to be a hotshot the only people he had working for him was his family.

In the OG in first season before lore got expanded) demons and witches werent organized. Demons sort of acted on thier own for thier own purposes and witches seem mostly solitary except for occasional get togethers on important events. Later on in the series demons got an organization system (triad) then later one ruler (the source of all evil). Witches seem mostly solitary except for now the elders who assigned white lighters watched over them and placed rules on magic. I dont think people really remember the drastic shift in lore and the plot holes OG had because we generally liked the places it was going. So I am kinda on that page fro the reboot.

It flipped the script. Witches are or were the organized bunch both self ruling and ruling over the magical community. Demons were at war with each other and all had different agendas so makes sense that the Caines were mostly on thier own.

I like this idea of there being different general types of demons and a hierarchy. I do wonder if that will limit then in the long run, but assuming they can be creative with the categories they have defined I am not too worried. I am excited to get more info on demons now.

6) the new love interests. I love Mel's new love interest. So different from Mel and her previous love interests. I reserve judgment until we get more interaction but I am liking her so far. Jordan is interesting I am actually liking the build up of thier relationship and will be nice to see maggie start off slow and make friends with him first. I wasnt a huge parkerita fan but I did not dislike the ship. But one of my general blehs is love at first site between teens. The way parker and Maggie began was just off putting to me but they were nice together when they were together honestly. This will be a good venture into perhaps an adult relationship or at least on that doesnt begin with as much drama. That said she is dead and will have to hide her identity from him soo....

Now on to the nitpicks:

1) Ray's characterization.

Okay so I dont mind that Ray turned out to be just a crap dad. It happens. But there are things we know that Ray probably didnt that makes us wonder why marisol even got with him and married him.

A) we know Marisol continued an affair throughout her marriage to Ray. Even assuming Ray was just a crap husband and father, why did marisol get with him and marry him if he was so good at alienating everyone he met. I wouldnt think he was just a one night stand that Marisol decided she would have to marry after getting pregnant. I would think she would be above that.

B) did he even know about magic. Was his whole relationship and life with Marisol and the girls just based on secrets, ignorance, and not being around?

I mean for B it is fine if it was I just would like to know for sure what it was versus just guessing. But I assume like Maggie I am just gonna have to move on from this

2) the house lights and the job application.

Okay how does the house have power and and water without the city noticing? How can maggie apply for a job with no social security number? I mean I assume because she is dead she cant use her real info. Or she could but wouldnt that make it easy for demons who may think to infiltrate government records to find them? I mean this is a nitpick and can be explained away by Magic, but still it was on my mind.

3) the mysterious figure at the end. Okay y'all, I assume it is Dark!Harry. But the more I thought about it, the more I got angry that they didnt show his face. Basically, that is leaving room that it could be someone else like one of the other new love interests or someone we havent met yet. I dont like that. If it is Dark!Harry we've already met him and know he is after the girls so most likely would be working with the demons. So showing him wouldnt be a big deal. But keeping the figure hidden means leaving that door of possibilites open. This has me paranoid now. Again nitpick. I'll get over it. Some people might like that.

Episode Highlights:

Comic relief Harry. Getting knocked down when orbing into the club and not being able to hold a map.

"I'll put a hex on you."

"I'm formidable!" You tell him!

Harry's wonky orbing in general. so confused so turned about.

Maggie being able to tell that Dark!Harry was not Harry. "Those are Harry's charges and family you cant fool them ya creep!!!"

hold onto your hats!, BH6 season 2 mid season finale episodes 6-10 discussion, a round of applause for the bh6 team

before we dive into the discussion, I would first like to give the BH6 writers and animators a round of applause and a big thank you!, the story and animation for the first half of season 2 improved so much compared to the 1st season that I can only imagine what you guys have planned for the next half of season 2. If, by some miracle, you guys are reading my post please know that I and so many others appreciate your hard work in making such a fun show to watch, I hope you guys are getting the recognition you deserve for working so hard. 

Now, before we look over the big reveal of episode 10 I would first like to point out a few key details from certain episodes

first is a minor detail in episode 4 “something fishy”. Back in season 1 episode 2 Hiro grows concern for his secret identity when Karmi sees his face at a close range. Despite his worries, Hiro is safe on this matter since Karmi is more fond of his superhero alter ego and has no interest in believing that her hero is actually school Hiro. 

This same issue is seen in season 1 episode 12 when hiro investigates a warehouse about some stolen metal, unfortunately, Yama is also in the warehouse. Once he knows it Yama Hiro once again grows concern for his secret identity since he has confronted Yama numerous times in his regular life, 

thankfully, yama is not smart enough to put the two together and instead sees Hiros hero alter ego as just one of the members of big hero 6. With so much concern for his secret identity and the identities of his friends I always wondered, why dont they do something about it?. Well, as of season 2 episode 4 it appears that Hiro finally learned from his mistakes and has added a special feature to all of their helmets/ head pieces.

 In season 2 episode 4, Gogo and Fred go to Richardson mole knowing that high voltage will be coming to him to steal back their electric orb. Once they arrive Richarson is delighted to see them but still has no idea that “lizard/chameleon guy” is actually fred since his suit covers his entire body (and he still has amnesia from S1Ep17) , but when he looks over to Gogo he asks,“do I know you?”, 

gogo says no, then quickly presses a button on the side of her helmet that causes the screen of her helmet to fog up, completely hiding her face before Richardson can get a better look. 

In the next shot we can still see Gogos face but that is most likely just for the fans to see. Richardson does not bring the subject of her secret identity back up again since its clear that he can only see the foggy screen

if this was done to gogos helmet then its likely that the others have this feature as well. In season 2 episode 8 when liv amara offers her help to big hero 6 in taking down the mayoi she reaches out her hand to hiro with a smile, attempting to appeal to him a as an alley

 I have seen others posts questioning whether or not liv knows hiros real identity since they have confronted each other on numerous occasions, especially in episode 8. 

since hiro added the new feature to everyones helmets to hide their faces in public, liv most likely does not know hiros secret identity...at least not yet.

also very quickly, concerning globby, we all saw how after he ate nega globby nega globbys eye appeared on globbys back near the end of episode 5. I can already see this a mile away, negaglobby will try to take control of 9globby or use his body to regenerate its own.

next lets talk about Wasabi,  recently I have noticed an unfortunate situation happening to wasabi when it comes to transportation. Getting around town during their hero work is one of many challenges that bh6 faces, however, each team member has his or her own way of getting around fast, Fred has his super jump and can ride on Baymax when needed, 

Honey lemon can also ride on Baymax with ease and will often create a slide or bounce ballot from her chem purse to get around faster.

Hiro of course never leaves baymaxs side, so he can fly whenever

 naturally, gogo is the most skilled out of all of them since she also has her skates and new bike 

Wasabi, unfortunately, is the only one at a disadvantage. Wasabi is afraid of heights so riding baymax is usually a no for him (unless he has no choice). Yes, he has a car, however, that is a challenge of its own. In episode 6 when the team chases after a trio of suspicious cars everyone keeps up except wasabi who we first see is running and falling behind, we then see that he had no other choice but to take a taxi just to catch up to the others after the chase ended. 

in episode 10, when the team undergoes a monster chase exercise, everyone keeps up with Fred except wasabi who gets stuck in traffic and has no choice but to wait the traffic out before he can meet up with everyone to eat. 

with 15 episodes left of season 2, I really hope the bh6 team has plans to improve wasabis character so he can keep up with the others and not just be played off as a comedic gag.

setting aside these details I would also like to talk about a sudden name reveal in episode 9. After supersonic sue kidnaps baron von steamer, baron begins ranting about everyones silly dependence on electricity and how his base was the only one with power during a major black out,  near the end of his rant he shows hatred towards one particular villain called “THE DARK VOLT”, 

sue appears to have some connection to him as well as she states that it was the dark volt who created her electric elbow guards. 

Near the end of the episode when steamer and sue bicker about who is boss awesomes true #1 enemy they finally ask boss awesome himself to settle the matter, but rather than admit that neither one is his true enemy he simply jokes that its “cabbage soup”, 

but boss awesome, like every superhero, must have a true #1 enemy. Batman has the Joker, Superman has lex luther etc. etc. and right now the most likely suspect for boss awesome true #1 enemy is the one they call “the dark volt” who I suspect will make an appearance later on in the series as part of another filler or possibly be directly involved with a major point of the story

and speaking of super villains, with BH6 already renewed for a third season, who will be the next big bady that the team will face off against in season 3? . In season 1 episode 18, liv was introduced but soon shrugged off as a minor character, that is until she became involved with a major plot point of the story, orso knox. 

Not only that, once we found out that her company was called sycorax (which ironically enough we later learned was the name of an evil witch in shakespears “the tempest” and was also the play that orso knox kept quoting as a way to tell others that it was liv who turned him into a monster) our suspicion of her true nature began to grow. My point being, if liv was already planned to be season 2s big bady and was only featured in minor appearances in season 1 as a way of foreshadowing her future villain role, then odds are the next big bady will soon make an appearance in the same manner in season 2. So who is it going to be? and will they be an even bigger threat than liv?

finally lets talk about the big question, what the heck is going on with liv amara?!, for 9 whole episodes we have all tried to piece together livs end game. So far, aside from knox, she has mutated Momakase, high voltage, Ned Ludd and  Mr. Sparkles. Before, I believed that liv was purposely mutating villains to later experiment on and possibly use them as minions to carry out her crimes by brainwashing them into obeying her every command. As of episode 10, I’m starting to see more hints that this might just be the case

what makes me say this? well, if you have seen the first discussion I posted on episodes 1-5 I suspected that liv added a special feature to the chips shes been implanting into villains that will not only gift them with special abilities but will also give her the power to control them. When high voltage escaped in episode 4 they didn't make a break for freedom, instead they returned to liv despite the lack of trust they had in her. But I gotta say, the real give away was Mr. Sparkles. In episode 8 we learn that Mr. Sparkles had paid liv to give him the power to control a small army of genetically enhanced fungus, the mayoi. 

Liv agrees to his terms but also bargains with him to take the blame for all the mutated villains in san fransokyo. Its obvious that sparkles agreed to this set up since he is not one to pass up being the center of attention. 

and why did liv ask Sparkles to take the blame for her mutations? because she knows that its only a matter of time before bh6 come after her. Her worries began when she finally noticed that regular people like Hiro and Karmi are now questioning her work (and again, I dont think liv knows Hiro is a member of bh6...yet). When liv created the mayoi she tells Chris that they (as well as sparkles) are their new insurance policy. 

Liv knows that if she has any hope of accomplishing her goal she must first make sure that she and sycorax are protected , and what better way to keep the public and bh6 away from her than posing as a hero and saving the city. In episode 8 when sparkles questions her appearance during his big attack we see him reading a stack of papers, its clear that the whole scene with liv appearing and saving the city was scripted,

 and just to make sure liv kept her end of the bargain, liv only created a serum that would return the mayoi back to their regular size rather than back to “normal”, and by “normal” I mean a pile of motionless fungus

. And guess what, her plan worked!, with the whole city viewing her as a hero as well as having the entire police force indebted to her for donating their new k-9 unit (S2E4) no one will be able to confront liv about being responsible for the mutations and crimes without being pinned as the bad guy themselves.

In episode 10 we see sparkles again (along with high voltage in eel form), only this time he is stealing a large sum of gold for liv, 

this sudden behavior of aiding liv after episode 8 is very unlike sparkles, sparkles does not like working, let alone sharing the spotlight with someone else. In episode 7, sparkles was working with yama, but as soon as he had the cash he needed sparkles asked yama to steal a rare (completely fake) comic book. 

This search turned out to be a double cross so sparkles could have enough time to take all the cash, turn the cops on yama and make a quick getaway. 

So then why of all things would sparkles suddenly settle for working under liv now that he got what he wanted from her?, unless, its not what he really wants to do,

  in episode 10 when the Bessie monster steals gold from a highly secured facility, its clear that its heading back to liv. 

When liv later confirms that she has acquired the gold she needed it verifies that the Bessie beast is also under her control. 

The only one thats missing now is momakase, if momakase is also under livs control then she is most likely out doing top secret jobs for liv as well, however, momakase is not like the other villains, she is highly skilled and specializes in stealthy activities, so liv would most likely not waste someone like her on grunt work. 

everything that liv has done was for one reason and that reason was soon discovered to be whatever was inside that giant pod in episode 5. 

Finally, in episode 10, we discover that the liv we have seen since season 1 and the start of season 2 was in fact NEVER the real liv amara!, the REAL liv amara was actually inside that giant pod we saw back in episode 5!!!, this fake liv amara has been secretly trying to bring back the real liv amara the entire time! 

granted, without a true reveal, we dont know yet if the fake liv is a clone or just livs twin sister. My main concern is, how did the real liv end up in a cryogenic state? and If the fake livs end game was to bring back the real liv amara, then what is the real liv amaras end game?

as for how the real liv ended up in a cryogenic state, I think I may have an idea. First, when fake liv is running thru the real livs file we see a picture of a virus on the screen,

 there are many types of viruses, however, this particular one which looks like a spider is called a “bacteriophage”, basically a bacteriophage will attach itself to a  cell and inject its own DNA into the persons cell, the virus DNA will then sneakily attach itself to the cells regular DNA so it can be duplicated thru something called “the cell cyle” which is what a cell does to make a clone of itself, only this time, since the cell is infected with a viruses DNA, it is also making a bunch of clones of the virus, once enough virus clones are made they tear the cell apart(killing it) and spread out to infect the next nearby cell to start the whole mess all over again

In season 1 episode 2 Karmi explains that the the whole purpose of studying dangerous viruses is to make them less dangerous and figure out new uses for them,

 in season 2 episode 3 Karmi explains again that the purpose of studying dangerous micro organisms  is to make them less dangerous with “modified viral vectors that reprogram DNA”, 

in season 1 episode 18 fake liv connects with karmi thru their shared interest in bio tech. And despite the amount of good that can be done in their field its not without its consequences. Just as it is possible to make a dangerous microorganism/virus less dangerous it can also be made into a more dangerous version of its old self. In episode 4 when fake liv is talking to high voltage she has a hologram of someones DNA on her table, this DNA was most likely the real liv amaras DNA.

 In episode 10 fake liv talks to Bluff Dunder (the news guy) and explains that she and her team are working on a cure for a rare disorder/disease. 

Odds are, the real liv amara really was looking to cure a rare disorder but in the process of figuring out how to make the virus that caused it less deadly and more manageable she accidentally made it more dangerous and ended up accidentally infecting herself with it, or worse, she could have already had the disease to begin with but because it is illegal to experiment on humans (seriously, in real life if you do this you go to jail!)  she willingly tested on herself out of desperation to see if she could reprogram/remove the virus within herself. Either way, things did not turn out the way real liv wanted and is instead now in a critical state after her failed attempt to cure herself. The virus could have mutated to the point where it began to spread at a faster rate, that DNA hologram back in episode 4 had 1 piece missing, 

that piece could be the portion of real livs DNA that contains the virus DNA. Fake liv must have  been desperately trying to figure out how to remove it without killing real liv and before the virus managed to finish the job. Its possible that the only reason fake liv turned to a life of crime was because she got fed up with struggling to cure real liv thru legal means, after all, fake liv did say that she would do whatever it takes to bring her back.

which brings me to the next issue, why does fake liv need gold to cure the rare disorder/disease?, well, recently I found out that scientists in real life are researching how to to use gold nano particles to detect viruses, making it easier to remove a virus from a persons body. When Chris hands fake liv a cupcake covered in gold she finally gets the break through shes been looking for as she says, “Gold!, bio compatible nanoparticles, yes!”.

 At first, back in episode 5, fake liv was probably planing on using globbys self regeneration ability to destroy as much of the viruses DNA as possible while at the same time repairing the damaged cells and DNA along the way, however, since nega globby proved to unstable she decided to scrap the idea. However, none of that matters now that fake liv has the gold she needs to finally save the real liv.

so, now that we know its only a matter of time for the real live to wake up, what will happen once the real liv amara retakes her position from fake liv ? .Will she be just as cold blooded as fake liv and continue to use mutated villains to do her dirty work while she operates from the shadows to fulfill her true end game? ( whatever it may be?!). Will real liv become horrified with what her clone (or twin) has done to bring her back, causing fake liv to go rogue and start acting out on her own crazy ideals, possibly leaving real liv to play the good twin (or clone) and instead deciding to help bh6 take fake liv down before her plans destroy all of san fransokyo?!. 

 Will the BH6 writers and animators use real liv as part of some bigger plan, resulting in a final gigantic plot twist near the end of season 2 that will completely destroy us emotionally and have us desperately waiting for answers during the season 3 hiatus???????!!!!!!!!!!!... whos to say... but hey!,  thats just a theory, a big hero 6 theory!

out of nowhere the idea of married benston just hit me and i have to go lay down now.

the wedding ceremony is very very sweet and it’s pretty small. it’s just the two of them and their immediate families. winston is actually the one who starts crying first. he doesn’t cry during his vows, which he wrote a joke into, because of course he did. he starts crying when ben laughs at it and while ben says his vows to him he has to hastily wipe away his tears but also try to maintain eye contact. ben is like keepittogetherkeepittogehter on the inside but starts crying after they kiss. 

ben wears his wedding band and is ALWAYS mentioning his husband with like a dumb lovestruck look on his face. 

ben: *opens his mouth and takes a breath, about to speak*

dollar bill: dont you even THINK about starting that sentence off with ‘my husband.’

ben, who no longer gives a fuck what dollar bill thinks: MY HUSBAND surprised me yesterday when he turned our entire living room into a pillow fort for our third anniversary. 

everyone at the office is super aware than ben has a husband just from how much he talks about him. but they’ve never met him since he never shows up at any of the social outings that ben already infrequently goes to. he’s just this Mysterious Figure that they know a bunch of stories about. 

bonnie, after her first few days working there: so does he ALWAYS talk about his husband that much?

also winston didn’t tell ben in advance that he was interviewing at axe cap because he thought it’d be fun to Surprise Him if he did end up working there but oops we know how that interview went

winston, who is face down laying on the couch: [muffled] TERRIBLE. there was a VERY rude old dude who told me to get the fuck out after the other interviewer destroyed my entire self image

ben, who doesn’t quite know how to react and thinks winston is exaggerating because what the FUCK kinda way is that for an interview to go: aww that sounds terrible. i’ll make you your favorite for dinner tonight?

they don’t talk much about their work lives (other than complaining sometimes because MAN there’s a lot to complain about) so ben doesn’t ask where he interviewed at. somewhere down the line during winston’s depression spiral he does find out and is like. OH. TAYLOR MASON? y e a h. i feel you. they made me cry during comp. take ur time babe. 

ben is very supportive of winston in the months (??? is it months? billions,,, i beg of u give us a timeline...) where winston just stays at home most days and mopes a lot. he does some freelance work online. has some small one off jobs he does sometimes. does a few more interviews. but none of them really stick.

he’s super happy to see winston back on his feet after he gets the job working for taylor/“axe cap” but again he doesn’t know where the job is and doesn’t ask because who knows if it’s permanent after these last couple of months. winston just assumes ben knows but since he thinks he’s at another location and the topic of quants stresses ben out, he doesn’t say anything about it. he vaguely just mentions that he’s pretty much singlehandedly working on a financial algo. anyways this is to say that very comedically, this is the interaction that happens after 3x12. 

winston when he gets home from finding out he HASN’T been working for axe cap this entire time: ben you will NOT believe what i just found out today about work

ben, who got approached by taylor that morning and Also has had a Day at work: somehow i have a feeling i know what you’re about to say

things aren’t ever awkward at home even with them working for competing funds because unlike wendy and the whole chuck vs axe thing, they aren’t Jackasses about it. they already don’t talk much about work but they’ve agreed to Take Caution in what they say around each other because they don’t need this fucking up their relationship. 

the only time it does ever become an issue is the whole axe cap fucking with tmc’s positions fiasco.

winston, while casually venting about his day to ben: ugh. someone is front running all our positions at work. 

ben, who received a flash drive from axe and realizes he is Someone: oh shit. i think i might be that someone. 

winston takes very personal offense to someone fucking with his algorithm. not that he hasn’t tested for edge cases and a QA team hasn’t gone over it in the mean time but still. it’s Unexpected Behavior and it might throw the entire thing off because programming be like that. it’s a lot of “how could you do that to ME when you knew what my job was?” before he calms down and apologizes because he knows it’s not ben’s fault. he’s just protective of his work and also scared that it might not hold up under non optimal conditions because his Programming Skills are the one thing he’s still sure of after taylor Destroyed him. and if his algo doesn’t work then Well Shit. what’s left? they get over it because they’re Mature Adults.... okay well winston is becoming a more Mature Adult and he’s making a lot of progress. they promise not to take it personally if something one of them does at work affects the other.

now we’re in s5 timeline. winston and ben are Professionals tm so they aren’t ever lovey dovey at work but ben will still talk about his husband, especially within earshot of winston, and he’ll just roll his eyes. 

winston is also walking around with a matching wedding band but none of these dumbasses that they work with notice because who pays attention to the weird quant guy from mase cap? they’re not exactly Hiding the fact that they’re married but everyone in this hellhole doesnt bother to think about it. well they’re all fools. the fact that he has never actually mentioned he’s married or his husband doesn’t help either.

other than taylor. they’ve pieced together sometime back in s4 that ben and winston are married even though they’ve never mentioned it to winston or done anything about it. partially because they know that winston and ben aren’t the kinds of people to use info from one another to gain an upper hand. and partially because they know how much it sucks when your relationship gets used for business and they dont want to do that to them.

some people are sitting around, just chatting during lunch. ben starts off another one of his stories with “my husband” and winston rolls his eyes because oh boy. another story about him. this oughta be good. however, mafee, dumbass mafee but kindhearted mafee, catches him rolling his eyes and is like 

“oh? you got a problem with ben and his husband?? by all means. spit it out.” and winston has to take a deep breath and try not to burst out laughing and be like. 

“i in fact do NOT have a problem with ben’s husband because that would mean i have a problem with myself.” 

and he holds up his hand with his wedding ring and everyone stares at it dumbly for a few seconds and then stares at ben’s hand. they all catch flies in their mouths. 

“wh—. so you mean. all those times—your husband? him?” 

taylor walks by and is like “oh? you guys are just now figuring this out? i knew months ago. they’re wearing matching rings, geniuses.”

oh jfc where the fuck do i even start with ducktales okay david tennant as scrooge mcduck makes my fucking life literally he’sthe best goddamn charaacter in the show – well, best besides the triplets (my BOYS), webby (!!! my KID), f e n t o n (god i love that nerd), mark beaks (what an asshole), mrs beakley (i wanna be her when i grow up), launchpad (!!! he!!), and so many others??? this is like serious every character in the show erasure but hot damn duck tales says gay rights and it does so in style (oh yeah also i love lena della donald oh webby’s new friend whose name i forget uhhh herules oh the inventor guy fenton’s boss that dipshit love him uhhh gandra dee who’s voiced by jameela jamil if im not mistaken??????) and yeah it’s a hilarious show but it’s also just a really good one for me to watch whenever i start to like. feel empty inside?? but then like i’ll put on ducktales and i’ll feel better

like?? just??? the ciphers and mysteries appeal so much to me and my love of mystery and crime novels, the characters are all amazing, alex hirsch himself is just such a g?? and like. it’s so good. it hurts me so much but then it’s all okay in the end and it’s just. it’s so good.

okay okay okay veering now into a much darker type of television, orphan black is??? phenominal???

okay so my best friend @fuck-me-gently-with-a-slurpee got me into it when i was like 14 or 15 i think and i honestly cannot thank her enough because this show is incredible. the plot’s super engaging, i literally cannot say anything about it without giving away spoilers, and the main character has quite possibly the best actor i’ve ever seen playing her

you guys. you guys. mythbusters was my childhood. like seriously, i watched that show religiously.

it’s what first got me into science, and it’s what kept me interested in explosions. it’s light and funny and ridiculous and scientifically accurate in the dumbest ways possible. i swear to god the main cast nearly dies once an episode

these guys are my idols. like, i seriously cannot overstate how much i love the mythbusters. adam and jamie, tori, kari, and grant.

when i was a kid, i wanted to be a mythbuster when i grew up, and god damnit, i still do. they mean that much to me

bill nye

fun fact! i actually had no fuckin clue who bill nye was until seventh grade, when i had to watch an episode of his show for homework because i missed a day of class. it was the episode on static electricity, and i remember sitting at my dining room table in the dim winter afternoon light, squinting at my computer, and thinking “what the FUCK am i WATCHING?”

needless to say, i’ve seen more since then, but that initial what the fuckery is still present and i love it.

not only is bill nye the science guy a flippin fantstic show, but bill nye himself? the coolest guy alive. god, i love him. what a g.

okay, as a gay, i am legally required to love john mulaney, but seriously that guy is so. fuckin. funny that i can’t help myself. his timing is priceless, the way he moves onstage is hysterical, just. god i love his stuff.

literally his comedic timing and style is half the reason people find me funny. i just phrase my sentences the way he would because, you know, i’m good at stealing things, and people laugh, and i go “hey. that actually worked”. and then i keep doing it

next, john oliver. okay, so while i don’t watch his show religiously, i do watch it when my parents do every now and again, and fuck is his stuff funny. like. just. shit.

finally, hasan minhaj’s patriot act is just. one of my favourite current events comedy shows out there. it’s in a similar vein to john oliver’s stuff, just more international, and shit, is he good at what he does. i lvoe it.

hoodwinked the movie (i am dead serious)

okay, while i haven’t seen it in over four years, this is still my favourite movie of all time. it also has one of my favourite villain songs of all times, and some of the best character exchanges just. ever. especially with wolf and twitchy

there’s so much to say about odaat. like. it’s so funny. it makes me nearly cry every episode (and makes my mother actually cry every episode). the characters, god, the characters

like. alex is such a cute dumb kid (who’s smarter than he looks), penelope is so salty constantly and i love her but she’s genuinely so cool and such a good mom and i cry??? elena is so amazing like god she’s such a fuckin nerd but she’s also so salty (takes after her mom) and is literally the best????

and then there’s abuelita, whom i adore. like, god, rita moreno is SO cool and SUCH a great actress and has SUCH an amazing sense of comedic timing and GOD, i LOVE HER

can’t forget about syd and doc berkowitz, which like. okay first off the good doc. just. god i love the doc. he’s so sweet and such a genuinely good dude and he’s a bit of a coward at heart but that’s okay because he genuinely cares and does his best and god he’s just such an amazing character im !!!!! and then syd is such a dork and i love them and elena and god, it made me so happy to see not only an actual enby character on a big sitcom, but also just?? like??? it’s not forced but it’s still there??? like there’s one episode where one of the plots is just syd and elena trying to figure out what elena should call them, since neither of them are comfy using “girlfriend” for syd since they’re not a girl, and they finally agree on “significant other” and schneider imMEDIATELY says “dont you mean, SYDnificant other?” and then they use that for the REST OF THE SHOW IT”S SO CUTE OKAY

and finally, schneider. he might be my favourite character in the entire show (which is a damn hard list to pick from!!!), but he’s just. he’s so sweet, he and penelope have one of the absolute best male/female friendships i’ve ever seen (which! never! turns! romantic! ever!!!), he’s actually got surprising depths but he’s also like such a nice goofball that when they get revealed, it hurts, and he’s just this canadian dumbass (heyyyyy repreSENT) with the worst goddamn canadian accent sometimes and he’s a hipster and The Dumb Friend and the weird uncle all rolled into one and GOD, i love him so much

the good place and brooklyn 99

okay, i love these two both so, so much, but i’m lumping them together because a) they’re both mike schur shows with a similar sense of humour, that say gay rights, and with characters who’d definitely love each other if they met and b) my hand is getting tired from all this typing but i still have so much  love to go around!!!!

okay so so SO! they’re both so good. they’re so fucking funny and amazing and i was immediately hooked on both of their pilots. their characters are all so genuine and flawed and fucking hysterical to watch, and the ships and friendships are all so amazing and pure and good and soft and they have their problems and they WORK THEM OUT HEALTHILY AND IT MAKES ME SO HAPPY OKAY!!!

i’m putting the musicals together because while i do adore each and every one of them individually, i also just have great big deep-seated love of the art of musical theatre itself in general, ya feel?

like, as someone who’s been both performing and viewing them from a very young age, the sheer sense of utter joy they bring is almost unparalleled

not to be That Bitch who quotes musicals, but “and that hop in our hearts as the overture starts lets us know how lucky we are” might be the closest i’ve ever gotten to finding words to fit the feeling when the lights go down and the show begins. it’s simply phenomenal

okay, OKAY, if you haven’t read this series (first book called written in red – they have terrible titles but god, they’re worth it), then what are you doing with your life? like, not only is there the perfect logicality au to them (just sayin’), but god, it’s such an incredible series

the worldbbuilding is so cool and the characters are all great and god the ships are the damn hill i die on it’s got literally such a good “sort of enemies mostly just dislike each other to reluctant acquaintances to friends to lovers” ship and it deals with some serious issues rlly well and it’s got baby puppies!!!

like, they’re wolf puppies, but still, they are b a b e y

this book series was my childhood. i mean, there are so many other books i could be talking about right now that i utterly adore (the artemis fowl series springs to mind), but gosh, MBS just brings me such absolute joy to read that i just had to have it on here.

i’m not thinking straight at this point in the evening, but i just wanna say that i will never, not ever forget about reynie. about kate. about sticky. about constance. about rhonda and number two and milligan and miss perumal and my absolute son sq pedalian and, of course, i will never, never forget about mr benedict

it’s bright, and it’s bittersweet, and it’s beautiful.

A Long Overdue Review of  “My Fair Lady”

-i saw her just a little after Laura had had a cold and I was BEYOND THRILLED when I saw she was going on that night!

-can i just say how much i ADORED hearing an actual overture at the beginning of a show?! like an actual overture made up of several songs from the show? bring overtures back!

-laura is really brilliant and breathes new life into eliza. she humanizes the character and makes her more than the of a caricature guttersnipe she is supposed to be even from the beginning. Everything Eliza does is with the thoughtful intention of becoming a lady and honestly her acting is just superb.it is honest. It possesses an intelligence and gravity I’ve never seen before in the character.

-you could really see the desire for more in her eyes especially during “Wouldnt it be loverly” which was basically choreographed like the movie

-her cockney accent was okay. I mean I didnt really expect it to be perfect and it surprisingly didnt bother me that much (being the Julie Andrews purist that I am). I thought her high class accent was better though, however in her dramatic final scene it did come and go a little with the heightened emotion but honestly it really didn’t hinder her performance for me. 

-Her “aaaooowwws” were more low key but probably more realistic and not as caricaturish. 

-you really felt Eliza’s exhaustion and frustration with everything Higgins was doing(but it a very realistic way), which made him look like a far worse character than he has been portrayed as in the past, and rightly so I would say because it exposes him. 

-HER VOICE IS SO BEAUTIFUL. I mean wowww. I’ve heard her sing many times from Gypsy and Women on the Verge but she was never really required to sing the way she does in this and it sounded very operatic with lots of vibrato and it was magical. I don't know why I was so delightfully surprised, I knew she had a great voice before but it felt like yesss this is the show you needed to show off your instrument. “I Could’ve Danced All Night” was absolutely a dream and I will never forget it.

-the rotating set was super cool(only used for higgin’s house: library(two stories with couch, spiral metal staircase, desk, wooded banister, chair obs books, hallway with wood staircase, bathroom with shower for that one scene, and a small outside area which wasnt used)  it was beautifullll omggg. also as it was turning laura would do quickchanges and I was so impressed with how she did what looked like were really complicated changes in a very short amount of time

- Harry Hadden-Paton, who played Higgins was really great and I feel like he has gotten even better from the first time I saw him in August. He grew into the role and was much funnier and energized than before (maybe because of Laura?) He did a great Rex Harrison-esque voice and sang the songs very well but it made me a little sad because for an actor who can actually sing it must be a rather limiting role and Harrison’s shadow is cast in such a way that he feels the need to imitate him because I guess thats what they think we expect but I feel like the audience would’ve been fine with just an average higher class english accent but I enjoyed it.

- the man who played her father was good but I didnt find him super likeable and I think he’s supposed the kind of character who isnt really the best morally but is so charismatic you have to like him?? but it was ok

-during the ball scene there was a grand staircase at stage left which made for super lovely entrances as you can imagine. the orchestra was onstage during the ball and it was soooo cool to see them actually playing the music as people danced to it. I dont know why it struck me as so special because we all know shows have orchestras but they became characters in the show for a while “musicians” playing “musicians” and I thought it was special. like we don’t think about it often but we take the fact that there is a live orchestra for granted yet we never really see them. also the scene was so beautiful! there were gorgeous chandeliers and it was very stylized yet simple. all of the dancing and waltzing was so romantic and it was just beautiful honestly. also laura looked stunning but i think they could’ve picked an even better color for her because it was off-white and i wasnt absolutely in love with it.

-SHE IS SO FREAKING HILARIOUS *which we already knew* but just the little things she did were so fing hysterical. The scene where she's talking to Higgin’s mother and other high class people at the races was one of the funniest things I have ever seen. When she was saying “how do you do” to everyone she copied their vocal pattern for how they said it, which was different every time and when she got to Freddy he didn't say it so she mouthed “how do you do” and then looked panicky at Higgins like “wtf do i do?” The scene with the fire and saying “hah” to make the flame jump was so funny because once she got it she was like “hah, hah-hah, hah-hah-hah-hah-hah. hah-hah-hah-hah-hah..etc” and was moving back and forth with each hah in her chair and I died. There were a lot of other little things that were super funny too. 

-i feel like the move your bloomin arse line isnt even funny anymore because everyone knows its coming-but is it supposed to be funny?

-get me to the church on time was one of the most energized and fun parts of the show i mean it was really ALIVE and it made you want to get up and dance. It really had the feel of a lot of drunk friends together having a big party at a london pub and there was a lot of dancing and DRAG! there were men dressed as showgirls and one as a bride and a woman in a tuxedo and it was obviously for comedic effect but yass! It was one of the highlights of the show!

-Laura’s “Show Me” didnt really work as well as I thought it would. I saw the understudy Freddy so maybe that’s why but I feel like moments they tried to make comedic really didn’t sit as well with the audience as they would’ve liked. I think it needed more rage? and i wasnt really feeling the release of frustration?? which is ironic because she was so good at conveying it before?? but maybe she was saving it for the last big scene (she wore a pink outfit which looked sooo beautiful on her though omg it was like baby pink-i loved that color on her) 

-on the street where you live was classic and beautiful and just as romantic as we all imagine it to be and the background of a pinkish/purple sky really added to the mood.

-their dynamic(her and higgins) was very equal and they were clearly on the same plane the entire time because of the similarity in their ages(which made their relationship in the end a lot better I think and not creepy like in the past imo)  as well as Laura’s interpretation of the character which showed she was just as emotionally and mentally intelligent, except she really didn’t come into her own and realize this until the scene at the end which was soooo satisfyinggg.

-HER ACTING IN THE SCENE WHERE SHE REALIZES SHE DOESNT NEED HIGGINS WAS SUPERB. it had the same strength and power of the dressing room scene at the end of gypsy and i was blown away.

-i really liked the feminist ending where after he says “where the devil are my slippers” she runs into the audience and up the stairs out of the theatre (its an amphitheater) like she has finally found love but doesn’t depend on that and has finally found herself and that is the most important thing. (also she run up the side closest to me and i freaked out realizing she got that close i was like AHHH!)

-I LOVED THE SHOW! It was better than the first time I saw it! It totally lived up to the original production while not being an exact copy and I am so glad I got a second chance to see it! Brava Laura! Im so glad I got to see her in her dream role!
