i have been doing cpn posts here and there about wyb’s alleged song list and here is another one. i’m just gonna name it wyb’s playlist cpn from now on. so the explanation is, some people know wyb’s personal qq music account so if you follow him you can see what he has been listening to. i am not really familiar with the app so idk how the settings work if he can hide some. no one is saying how they found out about the account, which makes sense for privacy. in a similar way that some fans know zz/wyb’s gaming account till now. feel free to not believe it cause i understand that things like this can be sus & people on the internet tend to lie.

for me personally tho, i love this cause i think music really speaks of what someone is feeling. and you have wyb who is not exactly big on social media so we rarely know anything. aside from his now extensive movie list, his playlist is something that is interesting too. not necessarily cpn-wise all the time.

The first one is GOLDEN HOUR which was used in ZZ’s vlog in Milan. It was a pretty popular song back then but it became more know because of ZZ’s post and even the singer reacted to it. Since then, it’s been a favorite among BXGs considering the meaning of it too.

This is what WYB’s playlist looked like on 3/28/23 People who follow said he hasn’t updated it for a week and then suddenly this track is added in. A piano version of Golden Hour. They say WYB usually adds relaxing music like piano tracks and some of nature, but not often. So it’s interesting how this one was added. At the time, they just don’t know the relevance. ( this screenshot was taken 00:38 3/29 but it has been this way since 3/28 )

PSA: Why I Am Boycotting Kpop (& how)

So. I love kpop. Its been a big part of my life for a few years now. But I'm boycotting. Why?

Well to put it simply, its because of the 🍉Palestine genocide🍉 *A lot* of these k-entertainment companies are directly & indirectly supporting Zionism/Israel, including monetarily.

Like most, I think, I only found out about this whole thing in Oct '23, so its now that I'm choosing to boycott in hopes of helping.

This is NOT an "attack" on anyone. Not a certain group, not even a certain label.

I am boycotting *everyone* personally. Officially, the popular boycott is the big 3 & HYBE. However I know that another company, Kakao Ent is also a huge Zionist offender (also I just saw that they invest in a blockchain too...? So yeah, ew). So to make it easier for myself, I am boycotting all of kpop.

I also have no issue w/ the artists themselves. I do not do this out of any hate/fan wars. I am not assuming/accusing them of being Zionists. I know, they are celebs but they work for the company. They have to obey their bosses, so while I would like more of the artists to openly speak in support of Palestine, I am not holding it against them.

Its just that, any $ the artist makes, goes straight to the company. & I don't like what these companies are doing w/ my $.

(Btw, it rly is about the companies. So for ex HYBE America has the artist Ariana Grande. I am boycotting her too, its just that I've never been a huge fan. I rly, rly like kpop. So that is why I am focusing on it. Its meaningless to say u are boycotting something that you never bought/consumed in the 1st place)

And just to note; I don't want to hear anything about "keeping politics out of kpop". These companies are *not* disconnected from the issue. & saying that "I'm not Palestinian so its not my problem" is extremely cruel.

I'm not saying that u have to completely stop interacting w/ ur fav artists. I'm not. I'm just trying to minimize my interactions w/ official content, like streaming, videos ect.

So the 1st thing; Get comfortable w/ sketchy looking websites & piracy!!!

Like I know, now that everything is readily available on (monetized) platforms, its hard to make the switch! Its hard to even know where to start. But there still are a lot of tools out there to do it.

Here are the basic things-

There is this website "yewtu . be" that you can use to watch yt vids w/out adding to the views/ad revenue. I've only used it on desktop, so idk how well it works on mobile. Sorry. Btw, sometimes it can not work, but it has options to switch the source to one that works. I have not tried making an acc, so idk how secure that is, but just using it to watch things seems ok.

As for streaming/downloading mp3, there is another website "ilkpop . in" it has most official releases. U can stream right from the site, or download mp3.

When downloading (I did this all on desktop btw) I would recommend the extension "TabBlock", it prevents opening any new tabs. So u do have to toggle it on/off.

So I downloaded the songs as mp3 files from that website, uploaded them to my Google drive & then downloaded them to my phone from there. These files surprisingly don't take a lot of room, I have currently 471 songs that are only 1.63 GB

The app I'm using to listen on mobile is Musicolet. 1st time using it for about a month & I like it. Its free, it plays local downloaded files, so no need for internet & most importantly it will continue to play the songs while the screen is off. For free. W/ no ads. U can also still make playlists. It has more settings & customization stuff.

This is based on my personal experience, so I use desktop (windows) & android devices. This is all I know. Don't be too scared about the looks of the sites. I haven't gotten any viruses, but u might wanna make sure u have installed an antivirus. The one I use is Avast, the free version is ok. It does have a subscription & ads but its not too annoying.

Inktober 2023 / Day 20 - Frost/ Dishonored How this correlates to 'frost' perhaps could do with small back story and explanation .

In my country in old folk tales was belief that the way to the land of the dead is trough cold and frosty places. Each February, when it is coldest in here, sometimes the dead might come back to visit us too. We even lit candles in February so that ancestors spirits would find their way to us so they can see we are doing well. Putting lights on our windows is still a tradition (and not related to Christmas). When I was meditating on what should I do to nr.20: Frost, and closed my eyes, this one song started to play on my local playlist while outside was snowing. Yello- "Monolith" (<- YT link) ... and I immediately got of a scene of Daud after his death taking journey slowly trough the Void on board of Dreadful Wale towards the shimmer and empty forgetting who he is and who he was. The Void always felt cold and frosty to me. Daud's journey after death might be something I return to after Inktober outside the Inktobers time limitations. Down-scaling probably again killed some details. Also after inktober might post better versions of all those DH environments. From same Dishonored related series as prompts 3 and 14 and one of few works without any Hellraiser reference (even when I almost added Leviathan in it as there's some similarities of the Old God in DotO and HR leviathan)

the difference between how pedro and ursula frame 'an ode' is so interesting!

there's pedro's infamous 'The song's hilarious Balthy! You always know how to make me laugh. Good job hahaha', which in these post-tricking ben times can be read as a response to balthazar's insistence that it's 'a joke', though i think it's interesting to read the description without that added context. excuse from balth or not, pedro's really overkill about no homoing it, and it has to hurt.

when ursula posts the youtube link on tumblr the next day it's impossible not to read her caption 'Balthazar's songs always come from the heart. An Ode is no exception. :)' as a rebuttal to pedro's yt description. it's so pointed! the smiley! slightly passive agressive in the nicest way!

now, 'an ode' is a slightly strange lovesong. it's not really written to the subject, as much as it's written to everyone else. we do know that the out-of-world explanation for an ode is at least partly that pedro was shipped with Everyone. it IS sillier than most of balthazar's other songs, so perhaps the posting of it is meant a bit to cheer pedro up after the rejection from bea (which was brutal even if i personally don't really think he was in love with her). however it is also very much a song sketching out how it would feel to be the person right for that one guy everyone (minus bea clearly, so like, a foggy conceptual Everyone) wants, who also happens to be your best friend. which is to say, painfully sincere.

the 'truth' of what balth is doing seems to lie somewhere between ursula and pedro's takes, i think he probably wrote something half silly half serious that was just silly enough he could get away with posting a love song for one of his friends, but it's entirely impossible to ignore that it is. in fact. a love song.

But today was the day the ships were leaving, and she was nowhere to be found. Your heart was already beating a mournful tune, as you tore through the halls and the doors and the streets, hoping that at least you would not be too late.

You stopped dead at the docks in front of her, taking in her stern form as she directed the sailors and guards that surrounded her. She turned towards you, and the only show of emotion was a tightening around her eyes.

"So it's true. You're leaving."

"I am."

She had withheld the truth from you to avoid being confronted about it. You could read it in her rigid stance, in the tight line of her shoulders. She wanted to just disappear, like a thief in the night. She wouldn't have afforded you the common courtesy of a goodbye if she had had her way.

"I'll come with you, milady."

"So you did manage to fulfil your dream."

"Felicitations."

"And what about you? Is this what you wanted from your life?" 

She nodded towards your armor-clad body, the shield on the floor, the sword you still held in your hands.

You waited until her eyes were back on yours, so she could see the honesty, and the passion still burning in there.

Brienne's warm, calloused hand rested upon your cheek as her eyes shone with tears she would never shed.

another absolute favorite :33 (i’m gonna be saying this for all of them i think but i mean it sincerely ok…) kairo this one makes me ill. it’s so gojo coded. it’s Him. the lyrics just remind me of him sm (they’re incredible btw the final line makes me batshit insane) AND THE INSTRUMENTAL??? might be my fave yorushika instrumental ngl don’t quote me on that tho 🙏🙏 just such a lovely summery song it smells like seasalt and tastes like clouds :3

AAAA ANOTHER ABSOLUTE FAVORITE kairo this one is getocoded. i knowwww you’ll understand. some of my favorite yorushika lyrics Ever and that’s saying a lot. it also has crazy lore bc it’s connected to this whole story being told in some of yorushika’s albums and :((( yeahhh. this one feels kairocoded to me but that might just be bc it’s so getocoded LMAO i have a feeling you’ll like it though!!
