I'm thinking about how even before anything, back in the second episode of season one, roman suggested Gerri for interim CEO. and how when Roman walked up and asked Gerri how she was doing she gave him a real answer, that it was weird to be in the hospital where her husband had died. Hey y'all! My grandma loves hot cocoa, but has some heart issues that mean even the tiny amount of caffeine from the chocolate in hot cocoa is no longer an option for her. Do you have any recommendations for caffeine-free hot cocoa? I'm thinking given the whole "chocolate has caffeine" thing it'll probably have to be like white chocolate hot cocoa, but I don't know if y'all have any recommendations for what basic white chocolate hot chocolate to get (her favorite hot cocoa in general is the swiss miss hot cocoa with flavored coffee creamer added, so like the more basic the hot cocoa mix the better. The hot cocoa is merely a thing to put the flavored coffee creamer in)

In my autistic opinion, people who think that media literacy is a cure all to misunderstandings forget that a story is a two way conversation and the onus is on the storyteller to communicate in a way their reader will hear. If someone has to read your mind to understand your story, that’s poor writing.

Yes— there’s one person that Opal absolutely HATED as a small child. We’re talking hissing + shrieking + clumsy attempts at combat whenever she makes eye contact with this individual. If they’re in the same room, it’s on sight. summer: everyone get on my spinach & cheese omelette agenda 🤩 anyway she also loves arroz con pollo. it was one of the first meals she taught yang how to make.

the twins: raven's is braised rabbit & qrow's is venison stew... they probably only get to eat it once or twice a year. (branwen twins "don't make it obvious we grew up in the woods" challenge: failed.) a plate of steak & potatoes would also make them happy. butttt their favorite childhood meal was oyakodon 👍 i can imagine qrow making it for ruby & yang sometimes when they were young.

tai: mapo tofu (with extra chili flakes) he seems like the type to have a pantry shelf just for a hot sauce collection. second place is his shrimp fried rice. yang is allergic to shellfish. this was a crushing blow to him.

Yeah okay even in modern/human au the daughters are sensitive to the cold but they don’t die from it like in canon but they do get sick easily if they’re not dressed warmly.

It’s always one falling sick soon after messing around with the cold outside especially Cass and Dani because they think they don’t need to dress warmly and Cass even wear short skirts/ dresses thinking she can survive the snow outside but barely twenty four hours later she’s in bed nursing an upset stomach or dealing with a cold because she thought she’s stronger.

Alcina tried not to be that mom, but she can’t because a) she’s totally that mom and b) she needs to check what her daughters are wearing before they go out (and force them to change if they’re exposing a lot of skin for no reason). But this only works when she’s at home because when she’s out her youngest two daughters think that rules don’t apply and they neglect dressing appropriately and it’s always always them coming to her room in the middle of the night complaining that they’re not feeling well.

After a lecture including a lot of ‘I told you so’ mama goes on to take care of the sick daughter until she’s all better in a few days (sometimes longer depending on how long they plan on milking mama’s love and care)

It's about like.

Willow fought to be seen as strong, because she is and for a very long time people not only convinced her that she wasn't, but that a lack of strength correlated to a lack of worth. And because of this past of having to prove herself and rediscover who she is and could be, Willow accidentally internalized the idea that others perception of her as strong is conditional on her always succeeding despite the obstacles, always staying in control and on top of things, always being the shoulder to cry on, etc etc.

And to an extent, she was right! Amity (unintentionally and well meaningly) refused to acknowledge willow's strength, leading to her having to prove herself, Boscha takes great pleasure in pointing out the chinks in willow's armour because Boscha feels better about herself when someone else is beneath her and she most often makes Willow that target. These are examples in which someone (correctly) paints Willow as pretending to be strong, but act like if they peeled back that facade, all you'd be left with is weak, half a witch willow. Whereas Hunter and Gus understand that even if you peel back willow's front of strength to see the more vulnerable side of her, there's still a strong foundation that takes little time in getting back into the swing of things once she's let it all out. Willow can be reliable and have debilitating anxiety. She can be whiney and needy and still be brave and powerful. Reliable people need someone to rely on too.

Willow's arc in labyrinth runners meant a lot to me because being consistently told that you are weak and need the help of people who love you but who struggle to understand you and see past their own need to protect you, by those people hit close to home and was incredibly validating to see. Somebody once compared the writing of those interactions to microaggressions, and intentional or not it resonated with me bc of that I think.

And now willow's arc in FTF completes this in a way that's very viscerally satisfying to me. Because proving your worth to people, no matter how successfully you do so, takes such a toll on your own mental well being and self perception. Bottling up your emotions so you don't drag others down is so difficult. And you deserve to cry like a big fucking baby if you've been doing this. Let it out!

For the future is an episode about being seen and heard, so to have Willow be so thoroughly seen and heard not just by the people who understand her best within the show, but also by the writers and consequently the audience is just.

It's what she deserves. And I love her very much

And then discussions happen "yea kid gotta do what it takes to survive. I know how it is when parents ain't around."

Rose stresses out for her law school exams so the Corinthian asks her questions on the material. He thinks it's all bullshit because

"No problem that can't be solved with murder or sex."

It actually really puts things in perspective for Rose. Just maybe there are worse things in the universe than potentially failing law exams (she won't).

"You're so perfect all the time kiddo, gotta unwind a little." And The Corinthian just takes her and Jed to the places he's been to he thinks are the coolest.

He shows Jed his collection of portraits of people who have the most perfect teeth.

"Do you have to brush yours? Eye-teeth I mean? Cause I hate brushing my teeth couldn't imagine doing it three times."

"Jed–" Rose tries to interrupt. But Jed has questions.

"Do you have three oesophagi ? I learned the word oesophagus in biology today."

Increasingly bothered Corinthian rakes hand through his hair. "Uh–"

What was he thinking.

"Can you laugh with them? Are they connected or can you use them like independent one from the other. How can you even ACTUALLY SEE"

"I DON'T KNOW AIGHT– ask Morpheus."

Rose is not a vortex anymore but these kids attract trouble, petty criminals, flaming sofas on wheels, and malevolent entities like the Corinthian has never seen.

Rose doesn't know of course.

The Corinthian always gets to them first.

Once Dream visits and Rose almost calls him granddad.

Vasso and Euclid have been working away on some wholesome, family-friendly research to amuse themselves while we prepare for the next leg of our journey towards the starship.
