When did you first start watching Lone Star? Who or what introduced you to the show?

Okay im getting outed on main here, i didn’t watch LS until summer 2023. OKAY OKAY PUT THE PITCHFORKS DOWN. i watched OG 911 from the time it premiered until like season 5 where i fell out of it, and then picked it back up during season 6. And i really didn’t know much about lone star, but i finally broke down when i got sick and couldn’t leave my house for a week and i binged the show in a week. and now look at me. 

Which season is your favorite?

Season 3 my beloved, i fear nothing can top that season

Somewhere away but not too far, maybe on the gulf coast. A nice resort, with a beach and a pool, but definitely not super far, as carlos gets homesick away from texas and he is grieving.

Since I'm following the fnaf sun and moon tags I've been seeing some discussion of Sun's characterization in HW2 and while im a lurker I HAVE been sitting on thoughts on the DCA since SB dropped so I might as well put down my two cents (also spoilers for the secret ending)

It's been my opinion since literally SB came out that one of the primary effects of the "virus", should it exist, is that it exaggerates negative personality traits. It's honestly been rly fun seeing people also come to this conclusion over the past 24 hours LMAO. While I think it's primary focus was to corrupt the animatronics' security protocols so they would attack people on sight, the personality altering was an added side effect. (Added note: this is also my explanation for why Sun isn't aggressive in SB, Sun's security protocol is Moon)

So while Roxy's low self-esteem has turned into her being so obsessed with attention she'll kill you if you don't Stare at her, Monty's rocker attitude has devolved into constant destructive rage, and Chica's obsession with food has gotten so bad she's now attacking people over it, I believe we're finally seeing more of how Sun was affected. I don't think he wasn't affected in SB - the way he grabs you and refuses to let you go anywhere, the fact that he can't even handle a small mess when he literally works at a daycare. It was subtle but there was some corruption there.

I think HW2 elaborates on this. Again we see his fixation on not letting you move, his hatred of messes (to the point of threatening or actually committing violence this time and destroying the art you make when its clear from his living spaces that he usually keeps art made in the daycare). He also gets very angry at you for taking a while to do things or getting things wrong. He actively discourages creativity. While this could be laughed off as Fazbear Ent being shitty per usual, we know that Sun actually was good at his current job at some point, so this is probably further alteration. I also think this minigame takes place some time before SB given how casually he threatens to set Moon on you if you annoy him enough LMAO. Clearly still a little freaked out by him but not enough to be completely terrified of transforming.

I also think worth noting is the probability that we're playing as an adult, specifically a technician (whether it be Vanessa or Cassie's dad). If Vanny has been tinkering with Moon for a while by that point (given the secret ending, it makes it clear that their relationship is one where Moon is Vanny's sentient tool to be used), I think Sun has very good reason to be sassy and passive-aggressive with technicians at this point, considering its heavily implied Moon hasn't always been the way he is now and also less-heavily implied that Sun enjoyed his other half's company at one point.

Long story short I think the virus (should it exist) is exaggerating Sun's traits of perfectionism and being controlling, likely leftovers from when he was a stage animatronic. And with or without that explanation, his behavior also makes sense if you assume he doesn't like technicians or adults in general.

But thats just a theory a personal interpretation theory like comment suscribe 👍

Something that was challenging to create

can my entire pokemon blog count? I drew literally every single pokemon, using the pokedex as a guide. this was honestly so tiring and i hated it a lot the time, but also im so happy i did it. it really forced me to practice drawing a lot of things i otherwise never would've even tried, and it also just got me into the habit of making art all the time, so during hiatuses i end up working on my own stuff a lot more. plus i really love getting the occasional note from someone excited to see that someone finally draw fanart of their favorite niche pokemon :)

i can't believe i've really drawn over a thousand pokemon at this point. what a weird accomplishment lol

I was thinking about the concepts of a god in video games and my favourite depiction of it is in Okami. Because... nobody really knows that you play as the god, in fact, it is a pretty huge plot point that everybody stopped believing in the gods. And then you go around with Amaterasu and help out people... but you don't do it with a big fanfare, you just go there and use a little magic that just looks like it was a coincidence. And then people are like "What just happened?!" and often they talk to Ammy because she is there, but for them, she is just the cute little doggy, but then they give praise because their problem got solved and it all gets to Ammy. And it is like this in the whole game. And not only that, the people react to your shenanigans. If you let a tree bloom in front of them, they have a surprised animation and a question mark over their head and then go back to what they were doing, probably thinking "Well, that was strange." And you keep doing stuff that just isn't logic over the course of the game and then... in the end... they finally believe in Ammy, but only after Issun told them about her. I just... really love the idea that a god is someone who just is around and helps without expecting anything in return and just taking the praise of people who now not have a problem anymore. And the fact that they animated people reacting to random shenanigans and not only people, also every single animal. I just love Okami so much.

You know, one thing that makes the Soulsborne games so great is the fact that your character is an absolute nobody. You are not supposed to be some godlike being with powers beyond measure or the one who is fated to do great things. Sure, Dark Souls 1 has the Chosen Undead, but it becomes revealed quickly that the Chosen One trope is a farce and so it gets completely subverted. In Dark Souls 2 you are simply the Bearer of the Curse, just one of many who suffer from the curse. In Dark Souls 3 you get told straight up that you were the last they could ask, because you are the loser of the losers. In Bloodborne we play as some unlucky random person who got wrapped up in Yharnam's affair. In Demon's Souls our Slayer straight up gets enslaved to the Nexus out of sheer desperation of the Monumental. And in Sekiro we play as a single Shinobi, who can't take on a whole army himself. So he makes defense to his greatest offense and uses stealth and dirty tricks. Which leaves the Tarnished, the one who is played the most straight. Elden Ring has this amazing opening movie and we get to see the six Tarnished who will probably be the main bosses of the game and... ...one another... Our player character. Here is the thing. It was never meant that our character should win. In fact, in Soulsborne all odds are AGAINST our character. It is the fact that DESPITE everything they win, that is the theme of these games. Our character has only one thing going for them... They can't die. And therefore, only giving up is when they lost. It's a theme of overcoming, a theme of persevering, a theme of fighting a battle that should be unwinable, but isn't. You just have to try it again and again. And that is what I love about these games.

The air between you and Garou had increasingly gotten awkward over the past few weeks. Your smile that used to shine bright whenever Garou was with you had dulled down. In fact, he rarely saw you smile in front of him anymore. All he saw in you was an empty, soulless doll that was chained to him.

"Garou," you said in a dead voice. "Let's go on a walk."

He was taken aback by your suggestion. In the back of his mind, he hoped that this would be a date, but he knew he'd be lying to himself.

"Alright," he clicked his tongue. "Where to?"

"I don't know. It won't matter, though." You walked over to your closet and took a large sweater from the clothing rack. It looked old-fashioned, maybe something an elderly man would wear. "Wear this."

Garou caught the sweater that you threw over. He examined the jacket and let out a laugh. "This? Do you seriously have no other clothes? It looks ridiculous."

Y/n let out a sigh. "Nothing else is going to fit you. You know you can't go out like that." You then pointed at his showy martial arts get-up that he wore.

Garou slightly scrunched his nose. He knew what kind of game you were playing. Instead of arguing, he nodded, putting on the out-of-style sweater. "Alright, are we ready to go?"

"Mhm. Just remember not to make a fuss."

You grabbed your house keys and walked to the front door, Garou following right behind you.

The walk was expectedly silent. The sounds of birds chirping and children playing in the park made the tension feel a bit lighter, though it wasn't drastic.

Garou didn't bother trying to start a conversation. Knowing the dry response he'd get from you, he'd rather have you speak first.

"Garou," you said, breaking the silence.

He hated the tone of your voice. His name used to sound so sweet coming from you. It was the same voice that used to reassure him, compliment him, or share words of love. Now, it felt like needles on his skin. Despite him being a relentless vigilante, he was mortified by the words that would come out of your innocent mouth.

"I don't think we should be together anymore." You stopped walking, now finally turning to face Garou. "I... don't love you, Garou. And I don't think that's going to change."

Garou froze, the hairs on his skin rising. "What?" he asked, face tensing by the second. "Have you been seeing someone else..?"

"There you're at it again!" you snapped. "God, is your ego that big that you can't see me falling out of love with you?"

This had been the first time you yelled at Garou. He wanted to say something back but felt too shocked to make a clear response.

"Do you know how many sleepless nights I've had, worrying for your safety?" you said, eyes watering. "Jesus, Garou, my parents think I'm a prostitute because they don't even believe you exist! And for you-- to what? Just come over at night, release your stress, and leave me without a warning by sunrise? Do you know how exhausting that is?"

Garou clenched his jaw. "I'm here today, though."

"That's not the point!" you retaliated. "I didn't care about your whole 'hero hunting' thing, but it feels like you're using that as an excuse to see me less. I can't tell if you love me for my body or for me."

"Well you should've said something about that then," he scoffed. "If it's more dates you wanted, you should've asked."

You sighed in frustration. "I didn't want more dates, Garou. I wanted you to be more honest."

Garou noticed how you spoke in the past tense. 'Didn't,' 'Wanted.' He realized that this relationship was over-- there'd be no way for him to change your mind at this point in time. What was even worse was the fact that Garou knew you were right: you had every reason to be upset. There was such a lack of communication between the two of you, but Garou acted as if you could read his intentions like an open book.

"I'm sorry," he said, rubbing his arm sheepishly. He never felt so pathetic in his life.

"I- God," you stuttered. "Just take this." You passed him a handful of money, enough for him to last in a hotel for several days. "You can keep the sweater too. It'll help you blend in with crowds more."

Garou took the bills, sliding them into a pocket. "Thanks," he mumbled.

"Stay safe out there, Garou," you said with a lukewarm smile.

"I know. I will."

Garou tried to play it off tough. He tried to pretend like he didn't care, but he couldn't hold on to the act.

The hotel's meals were nice, but it didn't compare to your cooking. The freshly-made beds were lusciously soft, but it didn't compare to the bedsheets that fumed your natural scent. He'd spend every second of his day comparing small, obsolete things to memories of you.

Sure, he had gotten used to being alone for the past 18 years, but it felt different this time. He wasn't just alone, he was lonely.

The hotel Garou chose was close to your home. Even from his window, he could slightly see your apartment building. He told himself that this made it possible for him to stop any attacks at your house for being associated with the Hero Hunter, but he knew this was just a lie to make himself feel better. He'd spend an irrational time staring at the window, waiting to catch a glimpse of you walking home.

Eventually, after hours of pondering at the window, he saw you. You were in your casual attire, holding two medium bags of groceries. It'd only been a few days since he'd last seen you, but he could already tell how much more beautiful you looked.

'I shouldn't be doing this,' he thought. This was borderline stalking. He decided to take a shower to clear his mind, but something peculiar caught his attention midway.

Behind you was a tall man dressed in all black: black glasses, black jacket, and even a big black hat. His hair, skin, and face were completely covered, not an inch of it to be seen. He looked to be about 6'5", practically a skyscraper standing next to you.

There was no doubt in Garou's mind that this person was involved with the Hero Association. If they managed to follow you back to your home, it'll be easy to find out that you had a relation to him.

Immediately, Garou ran out of the hotel room. He bumped into other guests, staff, and pedestrians, even causing some of them to fly off the ground.

Once he made it out to the street, he lunged and grabbed the man's shoulder, forcing him to turn over.

"W-What the hell!?" the man yelled, trying to wriggle out of Garou's grasp.

The loud noise caused you to turn over to see what the ruckus was. You dropped your groceries, watching your ex-boyfriend strangle a random man behind you. "G-Garou?" you said, half in disbelief, half in anger.

"Let me go!" the man continued to scream. "I didn't do anything!"

Garou loosened his grip once he realized that the man wasn't a threat. He ran away soon after being released.

"What are you doing here?" you asked Garou, frightened.

"T-That man, I thought he was-"

"Were you spying on me?"

Garou nervously scratched the back of his neck. "I just had to see you one last time."

You bit your lip, an upset look painting your face. Seeing that many people were staring, some even calling the police, you tried to calm yourself down.

im gonna ask this on anon cuz of shy. but... in your opinion or anybodys what is the diff between stolen/inspired? I'm half worried that i might accidentally write something that'll seem stolen from others if not careful. 😅

This isn't to scare anybody off. I just want to offer what insight I can for folks. ♥

Sadly, anon, when it comes to fandom content especially, people do get a bit...aggressive. lol I'm not gonna sit here and say 'what? who? me?? I WOULD NEVER!' Because like I said before: I HAVE been that way. It's been a good 10 or so years since I have, but your 30s tend to chill you out... It did me anyways, can't speak for others. lol

Do know that if anybody acts that way, it's mostly insecurity and or worry their inboxes won't be filled with love and want for more of their content. It's not something you should be ashamed of. Your writing was just so good it rattled them. How they act is not on you and never will be on you. I speak, again, from a place of knowing from being that way and being on the receiving end of it.

Being inspirited by someone: If someone or something inspires you to do something new or unusual, they make you want to do it. If someone or something inspires you, they give you new ideas and a strong feeling of enthusiasm.

So, basically, I've had people tell me they are driven to want to write their own Demiurge stuff thanks to my writings. And dang man, am I beyond ecstatic when I read that.

Now, if they write anything about a Supreme Being having been Isekaied with Ainz and the NPCs, and Demiurge is in love with them? That's inspired and also, to add to the point, a token love story that's often used in the fandom. I cannot take credit for this idea, nor can I claim anybody was inspired by me in particular to write it.

Nobody can who has done this formula layout.

It's basically a layout that's easy enough for first time writers to get their shoes wet in Overlord in my humblest opinion. Same for if they are suddenly in a relationship with Ulbert and then Demiurge merges that idea into the character in question.

If their OC is an angel? Same thing. I cannot take credit for that thought. Besides, as I told a friend: angel/demon relationships are as cliché as you can get. And I LOVE that cliché. I know I'm not alone there. ♥

I am sure there are a lot of people who claim that if you write ideas closely in relation to theirs, you're stealing somehow. If you use the same tropes, tags, ect. But no. As much as those people want to believe that, it's not the case.

So let's move onto my next part.

Stealing: When you take WORD FOR WORD someone else's story or are obviously just coloring on top of someone else's hard work. That the layout has only a slight tweak, basically, and I'll explain.

Now, I've mentioned these things on and off before, but I'll use them as reference again.

A long time ago, I was RPing an erotic story with a friend regarding her character being sold into a harem with a bunch of guys in another fandom who were basically shut-ins. Each new female had to be auctioned between these shut-ins and the highest bidder would get the female.

Now, I wrote a snippet (which I still have and is very much storaged on my DA) where the characters by the name of Thunderhawk and Sojourner were bidding heatedly for her character. The final, winning bid was 200,000. Against my friend's character's will, she was to be pushed off and stripped of her clothing as these two anthro snow leopard like lady twins were to bring the winner, Thunderhawk, his prize. The image I had drawn that used to be up was her character naked with her arms bound behind her back.

It was going to be a graphic novel, but my interests in the fandom was dwindling, and it didn't happen.

Now, I had someone comment on one of my art pieces saying 'oh that Rule 34 website has something up in the works called Spectre's Haven--you might be interested in it'.

And I went to read the pages up and...

The characters are all shut-ins (which is a given with the material we were both writing from, so that's no big), but then you had 2 obvious off screen characters asking for 'what was the starting bid' and having the woman bound naked before the men, going into bidding wars for the women they want for their harems... Sojourner and Thunderhawk were seen bidding heatedly side-by-side. Spectre, however, came out the victor....for 200,000. lol

The woman they got was nervous to be in the harem just like my friend's character was, but was told that it was not so bad. After there was nothing for them to 'grab from' where my snippets and stuff was concerned, it just went into pure on porn.

When I talked to the writer about it nicely and they had this to say to tl;dr it: 'yeah, I had the harem idea in my head for awhile now, read your stuff. Loved it btw, and I decided to make a reference to it as that's what I do. Thunderhawk almost won the bidding war but I decided last minute to make it Spectre instead. We didn't think it was necessary to put in credits, since it was obvious.'

Keep in mind: this is from a website that, while the comic was free, they still get ad revenue on their site. They got money from my work and never bothered to credit the original source because there was 'no point'. lol

It hurt but, I didn't bother to fight it.

Now, again, it's fine to have the same idea as me. But when stuff starts to align really closely like that? It's...alarming. You can easily do a harem idea without a bidding war. There's MANY ways to do that. But they just used mine because it was easier, I suppose. I dunno. They could have even used other characters that they grabbed from. There was like six total I used and that they were referencing too. I still feel there was other ways to do their comic. And besides, if you're going to reference me and admit to that when you work on a mature website that gets money for your work...? CREDIT me.

They had a far bigger follower base, and here I am getting nothing for it other than I loved the artist they had doing the comic, so I guess my idea was in their story and in the art I loved... ^^"

And the winning bid could have been anything. They said it was obvious nobody noticed the wink and nod at my stuff but uh...no. lol My friends/readers saw it and actually got madder than me at it. xD; I told them not to do a thing. As long as my friend's character wasn't used, I wouldn't be upset.

And to be honest? As long as someone takes something of mine like this again but does it for free? I really can't be that upset. Is it disrespectful? Sure. But I won't be heated about it if money isn't obtained from my ideas.

Now, fast-forward to 2020 where I wrote/illustrated to page one of Dancing with the Devil, my erotic/non-con Demiurge/OC comic, and then later the reader insert, Devil's Contract.

I was conversing with somebody at the time who instantly threw down the link to their story saying how similarly it sounded to their fic. Keep in mind, I never read fanfics in any fandom. My ADHD won't allow me to focus on someone else's works I am not close to let alone my own writing. (When it came to their story, I kudos it in a fit of mercy since they kept reblogging 'pity me posts' about their writings.)

As you can guess, we had some similar themes going on: non-con, bad BDSM etiquette, calling Demiurge 'Master', a human character he abuses but turns to love, the works.

But that's it, though. We had similar THEMES. Not similar deliveries.

If you read either of our fics, it's basically night and day.

However, this caused her to be furious and think I was stealing from her. Especially when my kudos, bookmarks, and comments took off. She would vent read my comments and obviously stay on top of my stats more than me, because she's that kinda way, I guess. Noticing that people not in Overlord were reading/loving my story was making her irate, as she had already damaged her reputation in the fandom twice before. She hated she couldn't get that sort of fanbase, so she started to falsify her own through dummies and anons when she 'rebuilt her fic'. (I'll leave this here, because it doesn't need to go beyond this.)

Now, another friend of mine is nervous to write her own version of something like this given the prior hostility in the fandom where this person was concerned. I told her in DMs "I'll support the hell out of your fic. Whether you post it publicly or just snippets to me in private".

And that's the truth.

I don't care if other people write something with similar themes to me. I really don't, and others shouldn't either. It means the world gets two cakes with (hopefully) different deliveries.

Now, if someone were to take some of my snippets here and replace the blank reader with a character of their own choosing? That's theft.

Please, don't ever do that to anybody. lol

If you want to do that, because you want to use it as a backbone for your fic? Ask first and then credit the person. Even if you requested the snippet in question: the person wrote your idea. You still deserve to give that person full credit for the thought they put down for you. ♥

But, I am only one person in a sea of many. And to be honest? As long as you're not making money off of my stuff, then good. I just don't want my ideas being sold is all.

Otherwise, it's our playground, and fanfiction I feel is a great way to learn where to go. ♥

I honestly and truly hope nobody ever feels scared to write to, post their writings.

I hate that some places have become like a warzone, but you can always do your best to curate your experiences. ♥

And, again, while I am ADHD and have a hard time reading, if you link me to your story and ask for my opinion, I'll be happy to read it. ♥ You know I will.

Silk Week 2021 (@silkweek)

Day 1: Recommendations

for day one, when trying to come up with Silk-related recs, i immediately thought of this work:

this fic holds a place of honor in my heart. i was wandering down a lonely road with my little ace!Cindy headcanon that i considered canon for myself & to spite d*n slott, when @lilradridinghood dropped this gem on ao3!! and suddenly i am not alone. it's still, to my knowledge, the only fic with ace!Cindy, and even though i aim to change that in the near future, it's so nice knowing i won't be alone in that tag😊

one thing i really really love about hellenic polytheism, especially as a former xtian, is that the religion itself is based on kharis, or forming relationships with the gods.

and the relationships are a two-way street; you can't just ask for things from the gods all the time & never thank them or give offerings, but the gods shouldn't ask things of you constantly without a little help, guidance, or gifts/blessings/etc.

the idea that the whole point of worship is to strengthen your bond with your deities instead of just expecting immediate love & reverence is so refreshing. i don't have to constantly affirm that lady hestia is the Best Ever (even though she is), i shouldn't follow whatever i think the gods say without using my own judgment (it's not always gonna make sense right away but It Will), and i don't have to fear them in order to be a good worshiper. the relationships are built on mutual love & respect just like all good relationships should be.

in conclusion: i love my deities & cannot believe i'm lucky enough to have artemis as my (metaphorical) big sister😊😊

Day 2: Love & Connection

for today's theme, i decided to draw one of my favorite headcanons: ace!Cindy. i've headcanoned Cindy as asexual for almost as long as i've known about her. even though it contradicts.... *certain pieces of canon* this headcanon is near & dear to my heart, in no small part because i am also ace & Korean-American. so, without further ado, here's the art:

HI IM BACK!! I'm a strong believer in fall supremacy too :DD I mean the crunchy leaves!! the dropping temperature!! the whole orange-y aesthetic!! what's there not to ove about autumn (although I've never really experienced it firsthand myself) i always say, you can wear extra pieces of clothing if you're feeling cold but can't tear off layers of your skin if you're feeling hot yknow?

an acoustic version of forever winter would be perfect omg I haven't even thought about that!! reputation rerecorded is definitely something to look forward to, especially since it was such an iconic era as well. I'm also keeping my fingers crossed for a lorde feature in rep tv!!

hey there! no worries for forgetting to sign off, i assumed it was you! fall is legitimately the best season. you're so right that extreme cold is easier to handle than extreme heat, and of course the fall aesthetic is unmatched. i'm going to be so annoying when it starts getting warmer again. i hate it so much... ironically the cold makes me want to make plans with friends and the heat makes me want to never speak to anyone ever again. but such is life.

things i want from taylor swift: acoustic forever winter, lorde and the national featured on reputation (taylor's version), and her closet. seriously, she's worn some weird things, but she also has a ton of nice pieces i would like to steal. do you have favourite candids / awards show looks of hers?

i've been thinking about love a lot recently (three guesses as to why) and i've come to the conclusion that it's hard. it's work. it's about trying and it's about trust. we have to work to maintain our relationships with other people and we have to have faith that they'll want to keep putting the work in for us. love (to me, at least) is so much more powerful when we treat it as an active choice rather than an external force we have no say in.

and you're quite welcome for the recommendations! i realized that i really loved compiling that list, and might want to make a more formal one as a sort of 'roadmap' through classic lit. it would of course be dependent on what i've read and skewed towards my personal preferences as a reader, but i think it might still be fun.

finally—and i realize this ask contained one actual question and i'm only answering it in the fifth paragraph (despite my english teacher's attempts to make me write concisely)—taylor's albums! i'd probably cut some of the songs i don't like as much (goodbye, stay stay stay), swap out some of the deluxe songs with weaker tracklist counterparts (you are in love to replace bad blood, right where you left me to replace no body no crime), and switch up some of the tracklisting to make it flow better (especially with the longer albums). i'd also want to update basically all of the cover art <3

Hi there! I checked your whole art tag (i can't believe it more than 100 pages thats amazing!!) and i notice your style changed wildly in 5 years! How do you change your style like that? Did you intentionally changed it or was it more of a gradual and natural evolution?

hiya! first off, that’s crazy!!! mad props to you for looking through everything there!!! but you’re right, it did change a ton (and im pretty proud of it!)

i would say it was probably more of a gradual evolution -- i’m usually most influenced by what i’m most strongly obsessed with at the time. e.g. when i was most into steam powered giraffe, i was weirdly averse to using curved lines, when i was into thunderbirds i finally figured out how to draw men, and across time all the cartoons i’ve enjoyed (stuff like clarence, gravity falls and steven universe) have probably had an effect on what i draw. sometimes i’ve tried to make a conscious change (like that 2 month period this past summer where i only used the binary tool) but yeah, mostly it’s all just little bits and things i’ve picked up from the things i’m most enjoying at the time. right now it’s the costume & scenery design of mister david zinn, and the work of my friends, mostly!!!
