Here is where I ramble a bit.

I looked at posts from the other side (no, not the dark side). I don't do it often and I have most of them blocked that I don't see any of their posts on my dash, so it was a deliberate decision. I don't hate them, trust me, I don't think their opinions are necessarily wrong either but purely for my own sanity I've blocked all of them long ago. But I got curious and so I checked.

It's interesting to read how differently this article was received, even on this side of the fence. An eye-opener. And I get where almost everyone is coming from, I do, even if I don't agree with some of it.

Emotions also tend to run very high in our small corner of the internet. But I've always said there's space enough for everyone here and wherever you land on the scale is your business.

But I DO see that in the end, they also want what's best for our boys, or our boy in question. Sometimes it's disguised in a roundabout way, sometimes it's not expressed so kindly, but I do believe that part to be true. Or else why would they still be here? Firmly on the good side?

But being kind and respectful to one another is KEY. It's probably what I value most in a fandom and I've made really good friends who feel the same.

We're all entitled to our opinions and those opinions can certainly change over time too, don't forget. But what I don't like seeing, are those opinions being pushed down the wrong throats (both ways here, I see you anons).

Read the room, people. Trying to convince people or attack people is a waste of time and energy imo.

Find YOUR people, and stick to them. Trust me when I say, it will make fandom life a haven, not a school playground.

My two cents though?

I've been here long enough to know when truths and half-truths are being presented.

I'm not involved in their lives in any way and so I don't feel like I am owed anything. I don't feel relieved, not really, as I recognize the long road ahead nor do I feel cheated.

He said what he wanted to say, and that's enough for me.

If anything, what he said might have been too much, too vulnerable and I hate that I can't shield him from further public scrutiny, further lynching. But that's a me-thing.

Do I believe everything that was said? No.

That person at work I had a talk with a few months ago? I sent them the article, and their mind was changed.

But what was said can be enough to change minds, so it's a start.

The truth, for those who have half a brain, that he's guilty of no crime, IS out there. And that's enough.

That's enough for me.

But more importantly, the amount of respect I feel for this man hasn't changed. If anything, it's skyrocketed.

His strength inspires me.

His goodness still inspires me.

(And yes, even though he's said himself that he was guilty of being an asshole, I don't actually believe all of that. Hell, I'm probably a bigger asshole than he is. There's a bit of an asshole inside all of us lbr.)

He is good.

And I still support him and love him as much as I did before 2021 and even before midnight on Feb 4, 2023.

And I wish him all the best.

I wish him all the peace he deserves. May he find what makes him happy and revel in it.

I'll still be here. Gushing over two men who has always had an undeniable, life long, soul binding connection, since the very moment they met.

Oh wow, I did not expect an ask about Kinnporsche The Series / Mileapo, but I probably should have since I went off a bit in the tags of that gifset reblog, didn't I? XD Please never take me too seriously whenever I claim two specific individuals have invented love, I'm just joking around. Unless I'm talking about David and Jonathan, because they totally did. ;p

But if I'm to try and answer seriously, I would say that officially, the last time either Mile or Apo have addressed the issue of their romantic status, they both said they're single (Mile in Aug 2022, Apo in July 2021 if I'm not mistaken). Of course, that's also the response I would expect from them if they were together. Because just like there are opposite sex couples who meet on the sets of movies and TV shows, and fall in love or just have an affair, there are same sex couples who go through the same thing. The difference is that society (and the entertainment business even more so) is still so homophobic, that these same sex couples often can't come out. I mean, if opposite sex couples sometimes feel they need to keep it to themselves, and we only find out about their romances decades later, like in the case of Jane Seymour and Christopher Reeve (if we find out about them at all), then imagine how much harder it is for same sex couples who fall in love as co-stars... (or even when there's a same sex celebrity couple, period)

Other than Mile, Apo and the people they trust, no one really knows if Mileapo actually are a couple and have to be closeted, or if they're just truly the best of friends who bonded so much as co-stars on the set of KPTS that their behavior is hard to distinguish from the way lovers act towards each other. We also have to take into account that they're from Thailand, and the cultural norms for how men are allowed to interact can be very different. Especially when we remember that they starred in a BL (gay themed show) together, and the norm for that is heavy fan service. I AM convinced that even then, their bond runs deeper than fan service, especially since the original production of KPTS was canceled, and the production company that was set up instead explicitly said it would not require fan service. Plus, this company was co-founded by Mile to save KPTS and give Apo his second chance to shine as an actor, after he had been previously bullied by homophobes into leaving the acting world. So yeah, I have every reason to believe their connection is real.

And the fact that this is a part of their unhinged story (that they met briefly as models 7 years before they auditioned for KPTS, that they obviously thought the other one is an attractive man and remembered each other all of these years, that Mile watched Apo's shows, that they re-connected at the auditions and seem to have been inseparable since, for over 2.5 years now, that they fought together for KPTS to be made and then gave us on screen an astounding love story, that they chose to go on working together on their next projects, including the upcoming queer film Man Suang, and continue to hang out even outside of their busy schedule together) brings us to what is most meaningful to me about them. Whether their bond is romantic or platonic, it's clearly so deep that I wouldn't hesitate to call them soulmates. They love and care for each other, support one another, and I think they healed each other in ways that make me feel soft and happy to know that such love exists in the world. So I'm going to continue rooting for them, and possibly joke about it like I know that they're a couple, because in a very profound sense of the word, even if it's not romantic, they are.

Gah, now you've got me thinking about Mortesen and Rakar. Like. These two are at just so tragic. Star-crossed brothers destined to fall apart. Things were never going to work out between them. Mortesen doomed himself the moment he fell in love with Athena and started becoming a better person- with ideals Rakar didn't agree with. Actually, he probably doomed himself the moment he started helping Rakar practice with his royal gift. But at the same time, Rakar totally didn't have to go as far as he did! There are so many paths he could've taken, but he didn't.

fr fr. The real tragedy is that this could all have been avoided had they actually just. Talked. For Real. tbh while I call the whole thing tragic, I don't actually feel sadness about it as much. More like a sense of "¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯ alas, you reap what you sow"

Mort, after getting together with Athena, kinda left Rakar with little to no support system while at the same time still believed that Rakar would turn over a new leaf--expecting Rakar to join his side without really meeting him halfway.

Meanwhile 'ol Rakar is stubborn and dead set on keeping tradition. I can't blame him for some of the choices he made considering his upbringing, but at some point, all of his issues are self-inflicted LMAOOOO

They are both so, frustratingly stupid in their own ways (pos). Mortesen might have had good morals but man, was he flawed and how much do I want to hit him over the head with a cartoonishly large hammer. tbh i think he kinda had the "getting impaled" part coming. just a little bit. If i was Rakar I would've stabbed too. not enough to kill him but yknow.

Rakar? Rakar commits so many atrocities and for what? how much has he given up to preserve the so-called "traditions" he's fighting so hard to protect? was it worth it, sacrificing the one person who still believed in him (no matter how misguided Mort was in that belief) for these abstract things? Was it worth all this misery? This man is a burning car of issues and he's so fun to put into situations because of it. I want to see everything he's worked for crumble before his eyes, and I want him to feel the deepest pits of despair as he realizes all his sacrifices were for nothing (affectionate 💙)

Fun fact, the 2021 April Fools GOTF parody au's story came about because I wanted to do a character study of these two. Take away his family, and what is left of Mortesen? Take away Cosium, and what is left of Rakar? I thought it was interesting to explore.

anyways that being said, I'd fist fight Mortesen in a McDonald's parking lot just because of what happened in the last chapters of ToO.

Why do you think k2 isn't popular anymore?

hi anon! I love to talk so I'll answer this but I'll preface it by saying that although I'm not new to South Park, I'm newer to its fandom. I joined in like 2021 and by that point k2 had already fallen out of favor! before that I just observed it peripherally.

I think it's probably for a few reasons.

of the three main 4 ships for Kyle, it's obvious why k2 is the least popular of the lot. the other two have popular shipping tropes built in (best friends and rivals). there's also not a lot of canon moments to point to, you know, k2 doesn't have a "Guitar Queer-O" or a "Crack Baby Athletic Association" or whatever, really, whereas style and kyman have several such episodes. like I guess you have "Jewbilee" but a lot of people write off those early seasons. (and you have the Mysterion trilogy... to ME. pivotal k2 moments)

and I could end it there because that explains it for the most part but you're right. I think there was a time k2 was more popular than kyman at least (style was always reigning champ until creek took the crown!!!).

I personally believe that fandom (in general, not specifically SP) in recent* years has developed this sort of obsession with Ships Becoming Canon and that some ships are More Canon and therefore More Correct than others which has throttled both crackshipping and multishipping.

like idk there were obviously ship wars (nasty ones!) and OTPs in the 00s and 2010s, but it felt like people were more open to imagining the possibilities and potential between characters who may not have had much (or any) interaction, based solely on their personalities. there's a lot to say about the evolution of fandom as a whole but that's not your question.

so people have kind of settled on their one ship per character and that's it. most Kenny ships have been snuffed out by something or other (fitting) except for one. and that's bunny. and because it's got that one episode, it's now the Most Correct choice for him.

sorry you asked about k2 and I turned this into another complaint about the loss of Kenny biking :''( anyway, I think the appeal of k2 is the potential. you also can't approach it the same way you do style or kyman which I do think has stifled its popularity. this post, despite the broken links, is one of my favorite explanations of their fandom potential that also keeps in mind that we're working within the confines of what we're given. that is to say, South Park doesn't exactly lend itself to this sort of overwrought thinking but we all do it anyway.

it's not dead tho. plenty of people do still ship it and love it!! and I hope you support the @k2-fanzine when it comes out. but yeah you're right, it's lost steam and there's more reasons than what I've listed but I talk too fucking much.

You guys know the drill! Here I post all kinds of awesome self shipping things, and now I have six f/os and plenty of love to go around.

I can't believe I now have as many f/os as Henry the 8th had wives, but at least I haven't killed any of my guys...yet lol. I'm mostly a villain shipper, but I've dipped my toes into anti-hero territory over the years. Most of my F/Os are villains, and that's okay. They hate everyone else but they love me ^^

Meet my guys!

Karl Heisenberg- the main man! I married this man Halloween of 2022 and we're still going strong. We also have an adopted son, Nanaue from the Suicide Squad. Karl is probably the most prominently featured f/o on here, and I love him to bits. He's encouraging, sweet, makes cool stuff, and is really big about my own creative endeavors. We support each other and make everything work <3

Astarion- the vampire from Baldur's Gate 3, I absolutely adore him. Normally vamps aren't my thing but this guy's got me by the throat with his sass and unabashed honesty. He's the sassy pansexual boyfriend I feel everyone needs in life ^.^

Elijah Kamski- Elijah is admittedly more of a familial f/o rather than a romantic one. But even so he's important to me and seems to be the perfect brother figure. He's helped me through a lot of my own sibling related trauma and I'm really thankful for that. If you need practical or technical advice, Elijah is my go to guy :)

Otto Octavius- from the Raimi-verse spider-man movies. I've loved this man since I was a child, and he's the oldest of my f/os on here. Partly familial, Partly romantic, my relationship with Otto can be rather complicated. Sometimes we don't even really know what we are to each other and I feel that's okay. He's a great man and I love him so much ^^

Oswald Cobblepot- from the Reeves-verse batman. He's a little out of the ordinary for me but I find we just click. He genuinely cares about me and was there when I was going through a very difficult period when I first moved to this new town. In a way he's my backbone and I appreciate it a ton :)

Rabban- from the 2021 Remake of Dune. This is my most recent F/O. He got my attention about two or three years ago but I really wasn't sure where I stood with him. To a degree we're still figuring everything out. Yes while he's brutal, he's been oddly nothing but kind to me and has been there for me in recent weeks. He's very much interested in my world, and I'm very much into his ^.^

6. I don't think I personally classify myself as pro-ship, I am normally ship and let ship but I do have limits. Yes I know the difference between fiction and IRL but for me personally it all comes down to taste if that makes sense. Self shipping is a spectrum, and I'm on the end of not shipping with people who are far younger than you if you're a grown person. I feel like people have a misconception on S4 plot in terms of J**ncy and Stancy.

I never once thought that Byers moving away was a plot point to "get stancy to happen" (or whatever is being claimed).

The Steve x Nancy interactions are instead driven by "what if we put these characters who once cared about each other in close proximity". What would happen? And the reasonable answer was definitely not Steve and Nancy (disclaimer: teenagers!!) are completely over their unresolved no closure break up and no longer find each other attractive and everything is platonic af.

Season 4 answers the question what would happen if two people who never had any closure (because they broke up due to unprocessed trauma on BOTH sides) were brought back together... in life or death type of events.

They would be forced to face the fact that they still care for each other (this is canon dont fight me on this).

And maybe one of them does a cute confession because they are literally marching towards certain death.

Let's go have fun with a few words in ST fandom (and how people love to just slap them onto anything really): toxic, misogyny, homophobic.

1. Toxic - literally poisonous but in less literal way it would be ... ah, insidious. I've seen people use it to describe relationships (or at least one or two ships) in this fandom. And I have to say, it's a reach? Has anyone actually considered what a toxic relationship would be? Because let me tell you as a person who has had first person experience, and whose friends have had experience in this shit - the way you're utilizing the word to describe - with aim to put down and discredit - some ships... ain't it. I'm not going to go into details here, but I'm sure individuals can recognise themselves.

2. Misogyny. A prevalent thing in the 80s, perfectly depicted in at the very least S3 and The Hawkins Post. Off the top of my head I am not thinking of other items to showcase it as clearly as that would. I need the people who claim that it was extremely misogynistic when Steve said he wanted six kids to consider that they might be wrong and projecting. Or simply misinterpreting the scene. The scene is a very lovely example of emotional vulnerability and attempted intimacy (platonic, non-platonic - doesn't matter for this conversation). It is not inherently misogynistic to want a big family, and express those desires - smh. Especially when nowhere in the two scenes does Steve say "I expect you to birth precisely six children, you specifically, and I won't budge". I find it funny that a scene showcasing emotionally vulnerable man in an 80s setting is being portrayed as misogynistic, please stop throwing the term around like it's nothing.

3. Homophobic. This one is pretty simple - I'm not homophobic for not shipping your mlm ship, or for thinking that it's at the very least interesting how mlm ships always seem to be prevalent in fandoms even when in source material we have very little (or sometimes nothing) to support those. I'm not saying you can't ship whatever you like, but it's also ha-ha funny when we deliberately exclude female characters out of these narratives to support our own mlm headcanons, so funny. (might even be quirky and use the word misogynistic here). Ship what you want, but it's not homophobic if someone dislikes your fanon ship. It's different taste and that's it.

the sole issue I have with authors on clock app and zlibrary discourse is the statement that keeps popping up:

"if you can't afford it, you can't have it"

and I will say that yeah in general that is a fair statement.

the problem is - books are fucking important. reading and enabling people to read is so damn important, and even if we are now talking about a shitton of authors on zlib stating such things w.r.t. books to me is terrifying.

it's: if you can't afford it you have no right to learn.

if you cannot buy an expensive textbook, get fucked.

if you cannot financially handle the burden of buying books that will provide you with new outlooks - get fucked.

if those textbooks or selfhelp books or whatever are nor available in your local libraries, get fucked.

that's all I keep hearing -if you don't have the money get fucked.

and it is SO privileged!

because libraries around the world won't have the same content, the same variety, not all textbooks are available (or they are but they are in high demand so you either have to figure it out or buy one).

Jonathan lying to Nancy take, and how it works with Stancy/J*ncy future plot.

(disclaimer: this is not anti Jonathan)

I know a lot of people try to frame it as Jonathan is lying so that Nancy won't give up her dreams to be with him, but to be frank that's a simplistic way to view it. Surely, part of his motivation can be described by that but imo I think Jonathan also understands Nancy well enough to know she would not give up her dream and move across the entire country to be with him. He knows that his decision prolongs their long distance relationship which we can be lead to believe has suffered during the time-jump before season 4. Jonathan is not this 100% selfless person putting Nancy first.

Jonathan still puts his family first and prioritises them over his relationship with Nancy. And to an extent it is understandable, he wants to support his mother, he wants to be there for his brother, and why wouldn't he do that in California where there are no bad things constantly coming for them. It is healthy for Jonathan to choose this. It is okay. Him lying to Nancy and avoiding conflict is not.

And on Nancy's side she prioritises her ambition over the relationship. She stays back instead of going to visit him with the same motive of avoiding conflict. Both of them know they need to have a serious talk about their future and they've both decided to avoid this in beginning if S4.

This dynamic of prioritising other aspects of their life over their relationship is not S4 only. It is also depicted in S3 where they are working together. Nancy wants to chase her story/hunch and prove herself, she lets her ambition drive her and has little care over how it affects herself and Jonathan's work prospects (ultimately it gets them fired). Jonathan on the other hand does indulge Nancy's investigation to an extent but is not fully supportive. He would rather bow his head, keep the job (which he needs! to help out at home. for which Nancy has little understanding). They have a clear conflict over this. Nancy prioritising her ambition over safety of that summer job, Jonathan prioritising his family's needs.

The show has shown where they diverge prior to S4, you just have to see it for what it is. We don't know where they will go in S5, or how this tension/conflict/divergence gets addressed but it needs to be dealt with. Jonathan and Nancy only work well together when their interests are aligned, imo, otherwise they clash.

I think that all of the shown is converging into a clear conflict "blow up" between Nancy and Jonathan and it would be cheap not to have them address this in S5. These are two people who care for each other but are not ready to put their relationship first.

On the other hand in this season we had Steve being very open with Nancy, even pointing out that the 6 kids and trips dream is great and all but the most important part is that Nancy is there. The rest is confetti, the rest is something they will deal with. Steve basically says, yeah all that kid talk is great, but it's you. And if anyone tells me Steve Harrington as characterised by the plot so far would not put Nancy first and find a compromise for them, then idk what show we are watching. He has shown time and time again where his priorities lie.

The end, for now... I guess?

Making it Work

I keep hearing that there is a lack of workers for jobs that are available and that seniors are coming back to work either out of boredom or they flat out need the money. This may or may not be a good idea. (For the record this is the 5th time I am writing about jobs. I started with Take This Job and Shove it in Nov 2018, then Jobs in December 2020, After The Gold Rush September 2020 and 9-5 August 2021) The previous ones dealt with everything from jobs I would never do to the mundane life of working. This time it is different.

I want to talk specifically about the dangers of seniors going back to work and the jobs you should never give them. Recent events have shown that a man can go to work (actually start working) at the age of 73. I am talking about Prince....oops King Charles. Things should work out as he has had a 55 year internship/apprenticeship to learn the job. Watching him on TV the last few days have shown that his main duties seem to be walking and talking. I can do that and even at the same time. I am younger than him as well, but reality says no one wants to see or handle money with my picture on it. Oh well.

There are a number of other jobs that should never be given to a senior. I should put this blog on my LinkedIn account to assist would be recruiters on who to avoid.

Uber drivers. If they have lived in the same city their entire life they know the best routes to travel. At least those that avoid highways. You can't tell them what to do and no way they will use GPS for directions.

Food critic. Since they have supper before 4:00pm there would never be a review on fine restaurants as they do not open until at least 4. You would get a lot of articles regarding how long the lineups were at the buffet and which foods gave them the least gas.

Grocery cashier. (If we will still have this job available) First obstacle would be learning that new fangled register. Then there would be long line ups because they would have to talk to every customer about the old days. "I remember when this was 50 cents. You must be crazy to pay these prices." Not good for business

Any job where they would get a gun. Think about it. Arming grumpy people is a recipe for disaster. It would thin out the herd a bit though. Given their eyesight might not always hit the correct targets.

Politics. Who would be foolish enough to put 70-90 year old people in positions of power? There would be mass chaos. Any country would be crazy to even consider this.

Mattress testing. They would never leave work and demand you set up a TV and fridge nearby.

Lingerie models. Well there's...and of course...but don't forget...I am so sorry I put this one in your head. Go to the next one quickly.

Tech support. Do I really need to explain? If you want to remove any doubt go to any senior's facility and you will see their VCR (that's right VCR. That is the technology age they have not mastered yet) flashing 12:00. Phones and laptops? Forget it.

I am not trying to prevent seniors from working. I am one. I just believe it is prudent to stay in their lane.

THOUGHT OF THE WEEK: There is very little difference in the behavior of a 3 year old and a 93 year old. One does have potential though.

My Parents

Let's talk about them for a minute.

You see I spent a long post basically honoring a man. Who I am no longer dating and has been looking out for me. I basically put him above EVERY ONE (on earth & except me) including family.

Yesterday, I went somewhere & saw the person who said hypocrite in this story:

Well I saw him again, one of my parent's minion, where I went to say "Hi and I'm alive". Being that I don't frequent there anymore & saw him on the phone. I noticed I didn't get the greetings I'd normally get. Which is fine.

However when I reached my final destination & saw a missed call from someone. This person I suspected was secretly working with my parents. They called me DIRECTLY on a number only a handful know (including my parents) and I did NOT give it to them. I only give out the WhatsApp number.

Which made me realize my parents were up to something & the minion was once again upset that I berated my parents for NOT CARING (which is true) when they secretly do stuff.

What am I talking about?

Instead of coming to me & ask what I NEEDED to help me along my journey. They (especially my father, but both agree with each other) called me/say/did/do the following:

Say its the devil (in March 2021) when I share God's revelation.

say I'm hearing voices or mentally ill. Then call counsellors/therapist to evaluate me (March 2021)

Try to deter me from obeying God in March, June, July, August, November & December 2021; January, March & September 2022. Those are times I tried to ask for help, was around/lived with them. Or they went out their way to ATTACK ME.

Become annoyed with what I had to do. Which was move out my room & sit in the living room & wait. (April 2021)

Told me I am wrong & aiming for things that isn't God (May 2021)

Call me the antichrist (Started in around June/July and ended February/March 2021)

Called me mentally ill with Bipolar disease without a formal diagnosis (April-July 2021). When told I'm NOT by medical professionals in Canada continued to do so (August-December 2021)

Called me mentally ill with Bipolar disease with a diagnosis they got by attacking me & basically trying to kidnap me. Then manipulated doctors & the Jamaican medical system into a diagnosis & continued to call me so from January-September 2022.

Told people I'm mentally ill (see dates above)

manipulated those around me when they can't directly do it.

I could add more but his isn't about what I've already shared. It's about what I haven't & what they do in secret (to me) & might highlight to others to show ThEy CaRe.

I know they DO NOT care but do whatever out of guilt but MOSTLY out of proving a point. Let's start with what they did before/during what the did in secret, to me.

July 2021:

What they'd say: We supported & prayed for her & gave her money for food.

What they did to me: On the 24/25 of July weekend my father prayed for me & the journey. July 28 My mother gave me money for food & said if I EVRY need any I should call. My father did NOT know where I was but my mother did. On July 29 I woke up to police putting me in handcuffs & carrying me to the nearest mental hospital.

The results below (if site still working):

August-November 2021:

What they'd say: she wasn't talking to us & BLOCKED us. So we secretly gave money to the pastor who was helping her to help her.

What they did to me: When I stayed at my aunt after being released (requirement from the hospital). After 1 week, they ruling my aunt gave but I believe was due to the harassing, controlling & manipulative nature of my parents. They tried to stop me & affected where I could stay. Even called my aunt with the same controlling nature. They claim they were calling to say that my aunt should make me stay longer because I was not behaving right.

November 2021-January/February 2022:

What they'd tell you: We fly to Jamaica to look for my sick mother/mother-in-law who has cancer Then we stayed longer than planned because we were worried about our daughter. We lost money/didn't have a job during that time.

What they did to me: In early November; came with church people & more to try & kidnap me to go go to their doctors who already had a bipolar diagnosis waiting on me. From then to Dec 14, my parents fought, stalked & tried to manipulate whoever they could, from JP's to courts to my landlord & more to get me diagnosed & say I'm mentally ill. On Dec 15; my father physically grabbed me from inside the house I was renting while I was calmly & cordially conversing with my landlord's mother in the backroom. Then cornered into going to the hospital that they had set up & waiting for me with the diagnosis ready for me.

MPH December 15 2022 to January 8 2022 (3+ weeks):

What they'd tell you: We made sure to come EVERY day with food, clothes & more. Whatever the doctors said she needed. When she asked for us to get them to release her & we said no based on recommendation she stopped talking to us. She didn't even take our food. Even turn down the pastor who we brought all the way to pray for her and she turned him away.

What they did to me: The manipulated the doctors. Say whatever they think would get them sympathy by twisting the truth or lying. Appealing to whatever they know would get a reaction out of the doctors in their favour. If I didn't fake smile and talk to them they would not have released me AFTER ALL THE manipulation they did to me.

January 2022:

What they'd tell you: We took her from the hospital and we thought everything was fine. We even went to the river together. She was taking the medication and was fine. Then one day she stopped and say she want to live somewhere else.. We didn't stop her.

What they did to me: In They lied to me. They said they were carrying me then after the meeting they'd carry my stuff. The meeting was to talk to the landlord and whoever in charge to make sure I don't have any issue staying there whether or not I had money. However they went into the meeting and switch it to tell people to encourage me to take the pills, then go to the doctor or if there's any sign of whatever to do whatever. They did not even break down what sign because there wasn't any. Then when I shut the conversation down & demanded I get my stuff brought. They claim they'd carry it the next day but they didn't show up until the day after that (a Sunday). Still without my stuff. St5arted a whole meeting now with people they didn't know. Claiming I'm mad and if they see signs of me calling myself Miss World. Which I did NOT go around verbalizing. Talking about I'm mentally ill etc. This meeting included my landlord, his aunt (who lived multiple parishes away) & a neighbour (the landlord's cousin). The landlord had to leave the meeting and they carried on abut lies. one saying how I didn't work in Canada and the other saying I did. Painting me as a crazy worthless/have no ambition child who wasted her opportunity abroad & want to just waste time here in Jamaica as well...

I could keep going but NO.

Here's what I found out in the 4 weeks I stayed with them in September:

The pastor who helped me in Canada. A person I haven't spoken to since loosing my phone to thieves at Salt River, in January. Told them between March & July (I believe) of this year that I told him that I NEEDEED clothes. Which they proceed to buy a suitcase-full of clothes and gave it to him to give me. I did NOT receive any suitcase, clothes nor call from that man. Plus I did NOT block them then, like I do now. So if they send a message I would say that's false. I may be DONE with them but I do NOT want them to be scammed.

In June/July when I was fed-up & wanted a chunk of cash to disappear, I texted my brother to ask him for $100 to start. I told him NOT to tell them. They said it was them who gave him to give me.

Because of the direct call to a number this person should NOT have. I believe they are giving funds to the bar owner. Who we (Nicholas & I) asked if "we can stay and pay something monthly for the room or try to find somewhere to rent" (when we were dating). I got a response that they'd let me know in a few days but to do our thing. We did NOT hear back from the person. I believe they're giving them funds each month or whenever (secretly).

So I believe because of my POST about him caring, helping & more. I think they believe I'm ungrateful and lying about my parents.

CARE is NOT helping and more out of proving a point or guilt AFTER you abuse, harm or hurt someone. Care happens BEFORE.

Plus ANYTHING LESS than what God said they're to do as consequences of their actions: redeem themselves through my children. I DO NOT CARE about, nor acknowledge ANYTHING ELSE. It's as if they didn't do it. My oldest's birthday just passed & a PRESENT for him would be NICE & EVERYTHING God said is STILL REQUIRED.

I'm so mad and frustrated right now- I've talked with a few friends but my thoughts and feelings have only escalated, so now I'm here.

Have you heard the new stupid Florida "Don't say gay" bill?!!

Like, ok, I'm not from the USA I'm Mexican but I'm a lesbian teenager and I can't believe this is happening. Remember the English "section 28" enacted in 1988 and banned in 2003 after tons of protests? No? Well, let me tell you a little about it, in summary, the English government. It was brought in to "prohibit the promotion of homosexuality by local authorities" that all started cause in 1983 a storybook that narrated Jenny's life with his two fathers came out trying to give children info about different types of family relationships. And Margaret Thatcher claimed "Children who need to be taught to respect traditional moral values are being taught that they have an inalienable right to be gay. All of those children are being cheated of a sound start in life." Now, at the start of 2022. 34 years since that law was enacted and 19 years since it was stopped. Florida's governor voiced his support for a bill that would prohibit the discussion of sexual orientation and gender identity in the state's primary schools. Since apparently, those subjects are not "age-appropriate" for students.

What they don't seem to understand is how IMPORTANT it is to talk about this, especially to kids. Because according to the 2021 Trevor's Project national survey indicates that 42% of LGBTQ youth seriously considered attempting suicide in the past year. And the Florida government is trying to prohibit this talk in schools because it's not appropriate? When there are many young LGBTQ people who learn to love themselves there? Or at least could have a chance, at speaking to adults at getting validation at people telling them it's not wrong and that they have rights! At least President Joe Biden answered condemning the bill in a Twitter statement. He claimed on February 8th "I want every member of the LGBTQI+ community — especially the kids who will be impacted by this hateful bill — to know that you are loved and accepted just as you are. I have your back, and my Administration will continue to fight for the protection and safety you deserve." As The white house posted this, the same day "Today, conservative politicians in Florida advanced legislation designed to attack LGBTQI+ kids. Instead of making growing up harder for young people, @POTUS is focused on keeping schools open and supporting students' mental health."

What I can't start to comprehend, because I find it unthinkable is HOW are we regressing instead of going forward into a better future?! How is it possible that KIDS are being asked to hide who they are as if they didn't exist? How is it possible that instead of not HAVING to hide anymore, and just living and learning and accepting who you are without the TRAUMA that this generates and without homophobia, or internalized homophobia, the world is getting into this again? How is it possible that being Queer is still a danger and a crime in so many countries? How is it possible that being Queer means you have to be careful on the streets? How is it possible that we can't live and love and respect one another? HOW is it possible that this bill is getting close to becoming a law!? I'm sorry but WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH THEM? They seem so caught up in their selfishness, their retrograde and their political agenda that they're not even looking around! And it makes me feel so mad and powerless and impotent. I grew up with trauma, I'm still dealing with internalized homophobia and my religious trauma and my family. No one, NO ONE, especially not kids should go through any kind of suffering just for loving, or for not feeling a man or a woman like society has structured. No one should feel less, or like they are doing a bad thing when they're not. No one should have to be afraid of just being, or living, or going outside and being PROUD of who they are. It took me years to be able to say that I'm a lesbian. And if I could scream it I would with so much pride!!! Because people fought, and died and hurt so we could be here standing for us today. And WE ARE NOT ALONE! And we're not shutting up. Not anymore.

I woke up to my inbox bursting with the same sort of message about the latest insanity, so for the sake of sparing everyone the repetition, here's my "answer":

Is anyone surprised she is now dragging Tim into this? I can't believe it took her this long tbh and have been waiting for the bomb to drop since the Time article. She's tried before so it was bound to happen and it's infuriating. She knows Tim has nothing to do with her situation or Armie, at all. But as I have said here many times before- hurt people hurt people and bad things happen to bad people.

What exactly is she implying Tim "knew"? There's a huge difference between knowing someone is a cheater versus knowing they r*ped/abused someone. Tim knowing Armie was into BDSM isn't the same as knowing he violated and abused women. Is she claiming Armie casually confessed to Tim what he had done to her? Tim wasn't there the night this happened. If he had been, he would be under investigation as accomplice or worse. Gloria would certainly have made sure everyone and their brother knew too.

I understand Effie likely hoped for a more victim-leaning comment from Tim when finally asked and to that extent, I wish he had made himself more clear as well, but again- this isn't his fight and it isn't on him to somehow make it okay for anyone involved.

Effie wanting to stir the pot in this way is just another example of her undermining her own case. She's done it in a million different ways before and will probably continue to do so because she isn't well. Whether that is due to trauma or something else all together is not my place to say but it is how I view the situation.

Of course, by simply posting this, Armie stans will say I still blindly support Effie and I'll never believe a bad word against Tim and at this moment, they are right. I do support Effie and the other women involved, but it doesn't mean that I necessarily like them. If Effie, or anyone else, comes forward with receipts and other people to back up this claim, I will be hard pressed not to believe it. That's the difference too many are trying to exploit here. The false equivalency of her claims against Armie to now this obvious lashing out with nothing to prove or back it up.

As for the lovely people banging on that I am partially responsible for all of this, lol. Don't shoot the messenger. I didn't write any of this news, I simply reported it. Maybe look to the man at the center of it all. The lying, cheating, abusive, alcohol/drug-addicted absent father who had the poor taste to choose to be involved with these types of women. The one that arrogantly proclaimed 2021 would bow before him, only to spend the entirety of it hiding like the coward he is and rolling over to lose every job and opportunity he had instead of using that booming voice to fight for himself.

Buddie Meta 911 503

Hello friends. Okay I told you this is gonna be a short meta bc we had just a little from Buddie at the end but it was very, very rich in visuals and body language.

Just a few words about the kidnapping

I know we don't wanna talk about this ¡I don't wanna talk about this) but it was the main topic in this episode so I need to say a few words...

First of all, it was a very ugly and boring and weird way to show us this "storyline" as they described in the promo.

But let's rescue some interesting points:

-Another good neighbor helping by recording with her cellphone what was happening with Harry and his raptor. Again, neighbors saving lives just like they did in episode 502.

- Another hint to the idea that "no one is safe".

- Harry's kidnapping as a Foreshadow of Eddie being hostage in 507.

- The whole episode and the whole kidnapping process happened in the darkness. (Visual symbolism as I pointed in my previous meta here.)

- When Athena confronts Jeffrey she also makes a reference to darkness and light, and the firefam appeared illuminating the place. This is a reference about how the family they choose, the people they love, it's always there to support you and help you in bad moments too.

- When the woman asks Michael if Athena was his wife, he answers "Ex-wife", as a premonition of Eddiana break up at the end of the episode.

- The 118 unity assists a 911 call in which a man said his friend had been shot. This was a blatant reference to 413 and 414. The difference was the brachial artery.

- When the firefam goes to find Harry, we had a brief Buddie moment, again working together.

- Harry doesn't want to talk about his traumatic experience. (I talked about this in the previous metas with two characters with talking difficulties, as a Foreshadow for Harry.

- Maddie and her depression is taking relevance now that she thinks she is dangerous for her daughter. Imagine the pain she is handling thinking about this? I can't even...

The Light is Here

Time for some Buddie meta now.

First scene: the Lockers.

Buck sees Eddie coming out and smiles. This smile could mean a lot of things. But because this is a buddie meta, that smile is from someone that didn't expect find his crush still there. A nice surprise to see him again. Even when they were so many days together, you always celebrate the fact that you can have a little more of your crush, right?

Buck says he thought Eddie would be the first leaving because he had a little person waiting for him: Christopher.

The important thing here was the way Buck is talking to Eddie.

Look at him. He is smiling the whole time, eyes focused on Eddie. It reminded me that time in the kitchen. The fondness and the devotion towards Eddie are loud here. The longing, even when Buck implies "Hey Christopher is waiting for you, someone is waiting for you, that's awesome" it felt as is he wished he had that too.

But the smile, the soft gaze and even the voice he uses, is screaming Buck's yearn for Eddie.

Then we had Eddie avoiding Buck's gaze again.

Eddie had been thinking the way to break up with Ana. The seriousness in his face told us he had been thinking about it a lot. But even when he tried to find the word, he couldn't. He only stares at Buck to deliver a strong message.

When he mentions the name of Ana, sending Buck the idea of him breaking up right now, once he gets home.

The hidden message to Buck here is "Look, I'm following your advice, okay? I'm breaking up with her. I don't love her. And is happening now."

Then Eddie leaves and Buck's reaction is... priceless...

Buck is speechless. He can't believe it. First of all, because Eddie is following his advice. Eddie is not like Abby. Eddie is breaking up with her to release her. Eddie is honest. But then, he blinks nervously. Eddie breaking up with Ana means Eddie will be single again.

Remember season 4 opens with Buck saying "I don't tell people how I feel", who was these people? Well, his parents and Eddie. He even bought a book "5 languages of love" to learn how to express his feelings for Eddie. But Eddie started to date Ana, and every hint of being with him vanished. And that's why the sarcastic "What's Ana love language?" Full of Jealousy.

Now, Eddie is gonna be single again. And you can't tell me that reaction from Buck watching Eddie leave is not expressing exactly this: HOPE.

Even Athen mentions HOPE IN THE DARK in this episode.

Second scene: Honey, I'm Home

Suddenly, when the black out ends, we witnesses a continuum of parallels with people coming back home and family waiting for them. The first one is Hen, in video-call with her son. The kid is waiting for her after 5 days.

Then Athena's kids. Then Eddie having breakfast with Christopher and Ana...

And then we have Buck. And the contrast is HUGE. The writers made it blatant to show us BUCK IS ALONE. Even when he's dating Taylor, he is alone. Because Taylor is married with her job, and again, Buck is put to a side.

The irony in Buck's quote: "Honey, I'm home." Is representing his loneliness. His girlfriend is not what Buck wants for him. Buck wants to be seen (just like Norman) he wants to have what that old married gay couple had THAT'S LOVE. Buck wants his own beautiful love story. He wants a person who waits for him at home. That's why the yearn in his voice while he was talking with Eddie in the lockers. Maybe because he was imagining what wonderful would be to come back home together with Eddie and Christopher waiting for them.

This is the preamble to Buck/Taylor future break up. As I wrote in this spec post here.

So, Eddie already has the family he wants with Buck, but he doesn't know it yet, and Buck wants to have a lover who sees him for real. That person is Eddie, but he's not his lover, but his best friend. Well, not his lover yet.

Third scene: "I guess is your mess now."

Okay, we finally are in the Eddiana break up. I really felt sorry for her. Really. She was nervous at first, we can say it because her body language and the verbiage. Her body moved from side to side, trying to clean up the mess in the kitchen.

She knew what was going on. So she was the one saying it first. Eddie just added some few words about Christopher loving her, but the girl knew everything. That's why the talk was quick. There were no more words to say. She chose Spanish to say goodbye to him, because it was one of the things that they had in common, like a mechanism of defense. Then she says he is a great father. This is very important, because she knows Eddie was trying hard to fall in love with her because of Christopher.

But what caught my attention was Ana saying: "I guess it's your mess now" talking about the kitchen, but symbolizing the huge mess that will be Eddie from now on. And the mess is in the kitchen. The place in which Eddie and Buck flirted. The place in which Eddie looked at Buck so fondly as he interacted with Christopher.

That kitchen yells buddie. And it's a mess now. Because what is about to come my friends, is Eddie slowly realizing he is in love with Buck. Let's wait an see.

To Conclude:

Several storylines on the horizon, as the producers said. So we had Harry handling his post kidnapping trauma, maybe not talking about it.

Maddie and Chim story, with Maddie's depression and the seek of Maddie.

Buck's inner desire of being seen vs his relationship with a absent girlfriend.

Eddie rediscovering his sexuality through the realization of his own romantic feelings for Eddie, maybe will be expressed by a lot of Jealousy towards Taylor and some little fights over there. And Buck completely oblivious about Eddie's feelings.

I saw a new video by the Youtuber Josh Scorcher. Top 10 Fails Of 2021.

In it he brings up the whole thing with Scott Cawthone (or however you spell it) and his donations to far right politicians. The issue I have with this section of the video is that the fail is lumped entirely on the people who were understandably mad at Scott for doing that. Specifically, it is stated that Scott was Doxxed and he and his wife were threatened. This isn't actually shown on screen when he says it, and all of my research, however brief that may have been, has merited no such results. Just claims, claims that this has happened and claims that said threats were deleted. What a coincidence. (You seriously telling me no one managed to screencap those?)

Instead of calling both of these people out, Josh instead treats anyone who participated in the utterly justified cancellation of this guy as equivalent to the people who (allegedly) sent literal death threats to him and doxxed him, and treats Scott's actions as completely neutral.

You realize they're not, right Josh? You realize that was a BAD thing he did, right Josh?

Republicans / Conservatives have NO PLACE in our society moving forward. They don't deserve the time of day, much less support, much less a fucking homage Josh! I will die on this hill.

Ah! But he donated to charity~! And made one of the most beloved indie horror games of all time~! See, he did good things! This magically absolves him of all wrongdoing! Bonus points for Josh's "And he also donated to some Democrats too, but shush" as if that would also undo donating to actual monsters.

Josh is ON RECORD in that video (which I have downloaded as to make sure it’s not removed after hopefully more people call him out on his bullshit) having said that he believes Scott:

1 - Didn’t do anything wrong. Hi, Josh. He directly supported politicians who are Anti LGBTQ+ and anti women’s rights.

2 - Didn’t single out any communities. Hi, Josh. He directly supported politicians who are Anti LGBTQ+ and anti women’s rights.

For that 3rd one specifically: Even if his attack was indirect, it was still an attack.

Scott would go on to quite literally pull a "I'm not racist my friends are black" in his defense post, stating such things as: "I treat people as people." A confusing statement given how he said this in response to people being mad about him supporting the opposite. And stating that he loved the fans of his from the LGBTQ community. A confusing statement given how he said this in response to people being mad about him supporting the opposite.

And most hilariously: This.

At least one comment I read in Josh's video brought up that Scott was "Just supporting what he believed in" and that "It doesn't necessarily mean that he agrees with everything the people he supported do." Which is a crock of shit. It doesn't matter if he doesn't agree with everything the people he supported do, support for one of their actions is support for all of them. In supporting Trump and McConnell because he "felt [Trump] was the best man to fuel a strong economy and stand up to America's enemies abroad" (Which isn't even an opinion, it's literally wrong.) He is supporting the discrimination, and worse, of LGBTQ+ People, who he claimed to love.

Because I can't decide if this post should be about Scott Cawthone or Josh Scorcher, let's talk about Josh again for a minute, because later in that same video, he talked about the r/Wallstreetbets thing, in which Wallstreet lost 5 billion dollars, due to some Gamestop Stock fuckery and one subreddit's ultimate prank on the system.

Josh does an egregious Both Sides-ing of the event stating "Now this is a good thing or a bad thing depending on your point of view of stocks in general. We're not gonna argue who's right or wrong here [...]" While acting as if he's neutral on the whole thing. But his tone of voice gives away who he thinks is in the wrong.

You realize that this was a GOOD thing that happened, right Josh?

Josh, you referenced Bo Burnham at the start of that video. You played and enjoyed Undertale. We're even both subscribed to Schaffrillas Productions.

All of those seem pretty progressive to me. I'd like to think you'd agree with me here.

But I guess you don't.
