a/n: wrote this for my black british ppl dem, hobies existence kinda made me proud. i put some british slang/phrases here n there. also, black cat is an underrated love interest i wish they put her in a movie.

It’s midnight, what better time to steal the crown jewels? Yes, it’s heavily guarded and there’s a slim chance you’ll even make it out alive but you needed them more than some overrated family. They don’t even belong to the royals, right?

“The big one…Look at you! A year ago you were robbing the richest men in Dubai..” He chuckled as you smiled at his compliment. His heavy boots almost scare you when he walks up to you, he could alarm a guard.

Not wanting to cause a breach in security, you took out your grappler and shot up to the ceiling, “I’d love to stay with you, Bee, but a new apartment is calling my name!”

Bee. He smiled at the nickname as he remembered the many times you’d say it.

He stares at your every move, and how every one of your movements makes your body look so damn sexy. Your latex black suit giving you that perfect silhouette, not to mention the fluffy white fur on your calf and chest that ultimately made you look regal.

“For fuck sake..” He sighed. He remember what Miguel commanded.

Suddenly, five bright flashes shone into Hobies eyes, blinding the man as security guards rushed into the room. They had their tasers in one hand and flashlights in the other, analysing the room and the shattered glass from the glass roof. All Hobie could do in response was kiss his teeth.

“Took you lot long enough…” He raised his hands, surrendering as if he was trying to make them think that they had control.

They stepped closer to him, “What are you doin ‘ere, Spider?”

Hobie groaned again. The fact that this was the useless security the stupid government spent so much on made him sick, “Tryna catch the cat that’s been stealing shit from all around the world, you donut!”

One of the security guards looked at the missing artefacts and looked back at Hobie.

Hobie scoffed, “I knew you man were racist, but you’re really gonna accuse a black man for stealing these fucking jewels that don’t even belong to that bloke in the castle?!”

The security men didn’t know what to think, looking at each other to answer spiderman. They didn’t even know spiderman was black! “N-No! I would never-”

“Shut up, just shut up.” Under his mask, Hobie smirked. He webbed up to the ceiling, leaving the security guards gobsmacked. “If I ever see you again, it’s wraps, understand?”

They all nod.

“Wasteman…” he muttered, before chasing after you.

You ran along London rooftops, your movements a little slow due to the heaviness of your bag. This stealing shit was tiring, you hoped once you sold the jewels, you’d be able to live comfortably for the rest of your life.

After a few more leaps, you rested on the top of the shard, overlooking London and it’s nightlife. From here, you could see Leicester square and almost smell the food. You sighed, taking in the city.

Dreams of getting rich might’ve blinded your vision, but the rush feels exhilarating.

“You dropped this..” You turn around seeing Hobie, without his mask. He held a shiny ruby in between his fingers. “Come get it, kitty.”

You rolled your eyes at his banter and stood, walking towards him. As much as you tried to get him out of your head, his smile alone sent thousands of butterflies to your stomach. “Why are you following me so much, hm? Thought your big bad boss made it clear there’s a Gwen Stacy here that you have to be with-”

“And when have I ever listened to him?” He steps closer, placing the ruby in your hand. You watched him as he carefully removed your mask from your face, finally seeing your face.

You recall the time when he told you about this Gwen Stacy and how Miguel clearly expressed his disappointment that someone as smart as Hobie would ruin the multiverse due to his selfishness and some ‘petty thief’. As much as you understood all this about canon events and the multiverses, you loved Hobie too much to let him go to that fashion designer, Gwen Stacy.

However, after a lot of thinking, you decided it was best if you left him, not wanting him to face any problems with Miguel.

But, you miss him. You miss the smell of his cigarettes, the sound of his guitar, the feel of his naked skin pressed against yours.

It was for the best.

“Hobie, go away.” You try to snatch your back from him but he moved his arm above your head. His smile deepens as you cross your arms, looking up at you.

God, he missed you.

“Why can’t you just understand that I want you to be safe, fuckin idiot..” You sigh. Hobie sighs too, but out of frustration. The two of you were like immovable object meets unstoppable force. Both as stubborn as each other.

He grabs your face and rests his forehead against yours. You cringe slightly at the feeling of his eyebrow piercing but look into his eyes anyway, “Fuck Miguel. I’m safe with you, I want you.”

FNAF SECURITY BREACH RUIN SPOILERS UNDER THE CUT

1: I really like Cassie, more than I expected to. One of my issues with FNAF was that the human characters don't really feel like characters in the games, more like prop pieces. But Cassie genuinely feels like a character that I want to see get a happy ending.

2: I went in expecting that if I saw Eclipse, he'd be a bastard, and instead was pleasantly surprised. He's my scrunkly :].

3: I really love the Roxy redemption we got!! She was genuinely kind and gentle with Cassie and I loved it.

4: I kept expecting the V.A.N.N.I mask to turn Cassie evil at some point, tho I did enjoy the return of Helpy.

5: At first I was soul crushed when I saw what had become of Freddy, but I saw online that he was a prototype and not good ol' Freddy, so :]

6: Pour one out for Monty I guess. Dude forgot he wasn't a real alligator.

7: Bonnie enjoyers got fed at what cost

Why would he guide her to the elevator in the first place if he was just gonna kill her off? He went through hell to make sure Freddy was ok, and he knew that guy for less than a day, he wouldn't leave his best friend to rot.

The Mimic wasn't shown to be destroyed, just escaped from, and we don't know how much control it had over the Pizzaplex, especially after Cassie freed it. Maybe it was what sent her crashing down.

Or that freaky rabbit (which I'm pretty sure is Afton) hacked the elevator to keep her down below (will elaborate on)

9: I believe the shot in game featuring Vanessa and Gregory confirms that the Princess Quest ending is the canon ending, and y'know what? I'm ok with that, I like the ending, it's got three stars, and the Encyclopedia said that was Gregory's good ending, so I had a feeling it was gonna go that way.

BUT! In that ending, it isn't made clear if by playing the game we killed Afton, or we simply freed Vanessa.

So, what if that glitchy rabbit is Afton, but his vessel wasn't complete, so he got stuck in the system, and the whole 'Vanny Network' thing he set up to try to replace her.

(we don't know how long it's been since the events of SB, and if the three stars ending is the canon ending, then we also don't know what destroyed the Pizzaplex)

Maybe Afton was in control of the elevator, and used Gregory's voice to trick Cassie (like some people were theorizing before the dlc came out) into believing Gregory betrayed her so he could turn her into his replacement Vanny and get her to make him real again.

Are points 8 & 9 a desperate ploy to not have Gregory be an asshole? Probably

Will that deter me? Absolutely not

Also if there is an answer as to how the Pizzaplex got destroyed in the TFTP books, don't spoil please, I've only read Lally's Game, the main reason I know what the Mimic is that SuperHorrorBro kept mentioning it during his playthrough so I checked the wiki.

Also if there are more endings to the DLC, please be cool about spoilers! I've only seen what SHB posted.

lemme ramble for a bit

so i have this story in my head of my self insert and the bs they go through while working at the pizzaplex for like 2 years as a night guard

and originally they were gonna die at the end of it before the events of security breach, smth about them finally getting what they wanted bc that’s one of the reasons they wanted to work there in the first place. but i thought that was way too sad, despite, yknow, it being a horror and if i was in their place id definitely be dead before then. plus there are some things worse than death in the fnaf universe. so i decided to veer away from angst for this story and go for a more thriller horror (maybe psychological) type thing yknow? makes it more fun

THEN i was like yo what if ghosts kids start haunting them to help them find their killer and there’s like 1 for each pizzaplex animatronic (excluding freddy and roxy bc they got gregory and cassie). and it could be super angsty bc 2 of the kids were inadvertently killed because of moon and one was killed by moon, and my s/i is super close with moon right? so it would be like a moral dilemma, bc they want to help the kids but they still want to be friends with moon, but they’re also horrified that he killed a kid. and my s/i would start dreaming and sleepwalking, forced by the ghost kids to relive their deaths to try and find who killed them. but then i started thinking about the timeline of that, and it would mean moon would’ve had the virus or whatever years before this story takes place, which isn’t what i wanted nor did it make sense. so after a while i was just like nahhhh, and it didn’t really mesh well with the story of security breach anyways, its more sci-fi than supernatural now, and including the ghost kids would just be too much crammed into self insert story i have. the kids designs im still gonna use tho lol

NOW after getting back into fnaf after like a few months of not really caring about the lore, i’ve been watching more theory videos and book summaries and stuff like that and it made me shift my whole view on security breach’s story

so i’ve decided that i wanna stick as close to canon lore as possible and make gregory and vanessa/vanny more present and important. i want to focus more on the issues with ai, and show the slow downfall and problems with depending solely on them. i also need to figure out why my self insert has plot armor bc anyone in their situation would’ve been fired or killed by now (i don’t have to stick that close to canon for this i guess). but im just gonna justify it as they’re a pushover who doesn’t ask any questions and just does what they’re told, which is pretty much what got the other employees fired or killed bc they did the opposite (they’re also a huge nerd about robots so they end up being good friends with all the animatronics which is a HUGE plot point in this story, friendship is the real magic love conquers all etc. etc.) don’t get me wrong, they are fully aware of how wrong things are in the pizzaplex and how some things vanessa has told them don’t add up, but they are a good little employee (they are a severe people pleaser) so they feign ignorance to it all.

my self insert being autistic and having adhd is also a big thing i wanna include, bc there’s some really specific shit about their autism that would affect how they survive and stuff. things like trauma responses, masking, unmasking, meltdowns, and shutdowns that will affect their relationships with the others and will domino affect over time and lead to them surviving. idk ive just been thinking a lot lately about social interactions and experiences i have that are negatively or positively impacted specifically because of my autism. choices choices

i also want to make sure that it’s clear how neglected all the animatronics are. not just the dca since it is intended to be a s/i x sun and moon story. but there’s a lot of issues the in game messages have talked about with the animatronics that seem to happen because no one is bothering to help them. they just put a bandaid on a situation but they don’t fix the root problem yknow. also, my s/i doesn’t think the animatronics are sentient at first, and i want that to be a big thing that gets explored several times throughout the story bc i love thinking about robot sentience.

at first i was gonna have monty sort of start to be nice to my s/i, and maybe they could be friends or even have a sibling type relationship (red hair lol) but then i was like nah, monty being an asshole is what makes his character interesting. plus his behavior is a nice contrast from the rest of the band. though i think it would be funny for some characters to think monty is my s/i’s favorite at first bc their hair is dyed red

i also want sun and moon to be as close to canon as possible. while i love love LOVE pretty much every dca x reader fic i ever read, i have a preference for canon depictions of sun and moon lol. no hate to fanon depictions of sun when i say this, but ive been lost in the sauce of fanon sun for too long, and i wanna make him passive aggressive, and sarcastic, and picky, and fussy!! but still an anxious wreck and a people pleaser perfectionist. i’ll admit im still struggling with this. it was kinda hard to get a gauge on his personality at first because until help wanted 2 we had only seen how he interacts with kids. and even though in universe that isn’t the real sun it’s the only indication we have of how he interacts with adults, so im taking it. moon is still gonna be mischievous, creepy as hell, and won’t talk much, but he’s not gonna be killin anyone (yet), he’s just gonna be kind of a stalker lol. also the dca and freddy have beef for some reason, it’s a personal head canon of mine but im adding it to this story hehe

lots of physical injuries, several concussions, a migraine so bad they loose the ability to communicate properly (smth i experience) will all happen to them, bc i am throwing them through the ringer. they will be stressed more often than not. get projected on idiot (i say that as if this isn’t my self insert and is literally me)

tbh this story would mostly be just a slice of life, shenanigan, character driven thing for most of it. but then little things brought up in the past will become important to the plot later on.

like how copyright music can’t be played in front of any of the animatronics or else they will freak out :]

I created a LMK Au just for funsies. A furutistic, high technologic world with cyberpunk vibes! (Because I absolutely love this type of aesthetic)

✦ the picture above is just a quick drawing I did of Macaque in this AU. I will get into details about the AU while showing a few infos of a few LMKs characters alongside with their designs. (Just a reminder I'm still creating the AU and it's my first time making one. It might be a little messy, so I apologize if it gets too messy--)

Oh! And by the way, the characters on this AU follow the same basic formula as the original characters. So it doesnt have much changes, other than the world they live in, their clothes and a few events.

✦ MK, The Monkie Kid

• Its the same thing as our little MK from the animated series, he works at Pigsy's Noodles as a delivery boy, is the Monkey king's biggest fan and is his successor and pretty much the basic stuff.

• He learned about the Monkey king with Mister Tang. He is a huge fan.

• Tho he isn't a great expert, he knows how to how to fix computer cases, machines and vehicles and build stuff by using old pieces (he learned with Pigsy and Sandy, just in case his delivery vehicle breaks in the middle of the road or a something start malfunctioning in the noodle store). As we can see, he works more in the hardware part.

• He likes to collect the old pieces of old devices that people throw away in the city's old graveyard. It's like a type of recycling. (That's also how he find the Monkey king's staff but that is a thing I will tell in details in another day--)

• He loves to draw!!! Hooray!!! He also likes to play games. Is always playing video games with his best friend, Mei, on the arcade or online.

✦ Mei, The White Horse Dragon Girl

• She's a programmer/developer of softwares (Yes I know that in I drawing I said she's a "hacker but a bit clumsy" but actually i wanted to say shes a programmer. I was sleepy, it was 2 am, and my brain wasn't braining 😰😰😰---) with a few knowledge about hardwares. She created her technological helmet system with MK's help. (Her helmet it's similiar to Iron man's helmet from inside.)

• She built her own motorcycle, again with MK's help. She participates a lot motorcycles race just for funsies.

• Loves to play games. I guess I could say she is quite of a professional gamer? She play to win. But when she is playing with MK or with other friends, she doesnt care losing or winning, she only cares about enjoying some quality time with them.

✦ Liu'er Mihou, The Six Eared Macaque.

• Pretty much same as the original Macaque. (Lost his eye in the past with a fight against Sun Wukong. Omg betrayal. Yknow the deal-)

• Here he is a Hacker/Cracker.

"But what is a cracker?" You may ask. Now it's time for my nerd/TI studant side take over. A cracker it's a mean hacker. The cracker breaks/attacks the systems and webs for their own benefit, which it's for illegal purposes. Now a Hacker it's actually a job, which their purpose its to find the security breaches and ways to how break it, so then they can make the security stronger and prevent invasions/attacks at the system.

With that being said, Macaque is a hacker/cracker. So he makes defense systems to himself and breaks into other systems for illegal purposes.

• He got these gloves that helps him hack things better, he created it himself. He create floating holograms like it's a tablet screen and can hold on these holograms using these gloves. With a simple touch he can steal database from a device and hack it's system. (He can hack machines, computers, tech weapons and even the light system.)

• He got his shadow magic too, same as the original one. Shadow clones, shadow portals... but he kinda makes a fusion between his magic and the technology he invented to himself. (Before anyone say it. YES! I got heavily inspired by Sombra from Overwatch. 😔)

✦ The Monkey King, Sun Wukong

• Yeah, the Monkey king. The great sage equal to heaven. The silly who made a havoc on heaven---

• HE GOT THAT HUGE MECHA WE SAW IN THE ANIMATED SERIES BECAUSE HE DOESNT LIKE USING HIS KAIJU FORM !!!

But he doesnt use the mecha much. It has been CENTURIES since he last use it. Now MK is the one who uses it because he is Sun Wukong's successor.

• That's not his "Monkey King" royal clothes. It just some casual/comfy clothes to use in everyday life.

• He already knew who MK was. MK is a stone Monkey just like himself. Wukong have been watching the kid grow up from far. He grow a bit attached to the boy.

Sun Wukong surely wasn't expecting to MK being able to lift his golden staff, so he think in the opportunity to make him his sucessor and teach him how to use his new powers. (Yes, I was lisiting to "the horse and the infant" song. How did you kn--)

is he basically a cat, like some cats like being in small spaces. how do the others react when they can't find bee and eventually find him napping away on some tall or small object/space? if they can't find him will they check bulkhead's subspace because they know he likes to nap there? what is his favorite place to nap?

I really like the fact bee can just become a ferret and sleep almost anywhere, surely at one point he slept in a box. what if he slept under his bed? could he do that?

yep, with and without AUs, the small Bee is really flexible.

Tho I would put the title of a cat to Prowl since acts like one; he wants attention, doesn't want attention, is overall 'leave me alone' kinda guy, disappears randomly and sometimes he shows he cares. Also no sense of personal space.

Bumblebee is more like a ferret since they're also like cats but they're a lot more playful, energetic and social.

This fucker is flexible enough to fit under his berth alright, if Prowl tried to squeeze in there he would get stuck- i mentioned in that post he is flexible enough to fit in the heavy duty vents(big ones, like from FNaF: Security Breach almost).

His favorite spot would be Bulkhead's subspace, the sound of the other mech's inner gears working and Sparkbeat is soothing. If he can't nap there then he'd go under his own berth, he made himself a little nest there, Sari comes there to hang out with him sometimes.

Whenever it gets too quiet around the base and the others know Bee hasn't left- the search is on. They either suspect he got stuck or is napping somewhere he shouldn't. Or both.

Most of his napping spots are somewhere he can easily get out of, but few of them are 'you will get stuck' kind of places. And he keeps finding more around the plant. After the "Where is he? in Bulkhead's subspace!" situation, whenever he goes "missing" they check Bulk's subspace first. Then they call him- that sometimes works. If not then they have to search the entire base to find him recharging in some ridiculous location: rafters, on top of the main hub computer, in Prowl's tree, under his berth, under everyone's berths, in the vents, the storage rooms, inside the concrete cylinders laying around, and more.

One time he went missing, the team literally had to ransack their own rooms cuz they couldn't find him. Only for Ratchet to call everyone to come to medbay and point to the crate he uses to transport parts and tadah, Bee is sleeping safe and sound in there, curled up, half covered in said parts.

This is a stupid superpower he is too dumb to use.

Well, no. He did crawl thru a crack in the wall to rescue his team at some point. And gave them creeps for the rest of the week in the process. So he knows how to use it, he just chooses not to most times cuz it's way funnier to annoy others with it.

lol imagine if he did leave like thru the vents and others thought he was still inside. Like, he comes back with some snack and Sari with ice cream and they just see everyone looking under furniture and in cabinets calling his name. Bee would not let them live that down. Both cuz it's funny as fuck and it shows they do care about him.

my overall little thoughts on HW2

I think Steel Wool did a wonderful job with most of the models here, bots like Baby and Ballora and Lefty and Scrapbaby look amazing

They're really getting there!

Love that this game functions as a bridge, during and after Security Breach but just before Ruin- like don't get me wrong, i'm also starving for answers after Ruin, however not immediately charging into the next big chapter and instead letting this game be a.. "small clues here and there and having some fun time at the plex before we have to leave it behind" situation was the right call

Let's talk about the animatronics for a hot sec, my mind is so full of them

I'm a Sister Location truther, so having this many levels with my favorite murder machine gang is giving me extra serotonin

Did not expect Yenndo to show up, like at all, it makes me so ridicoulusly happy

The Bidybabs and Minireenas had their time to shine as well, and BALLORA!! Missed her so much in Helped Wanted but she's here now so can't complain anymore

How do you feel that Glitchtrap might be fucking dead and might not play a role in the story anymore? Do you think they could have done more with him? What would you have done with him and his character?

Well, he was always gonna be defeated anyway. I just feel like Steelwool is too scared to commit and they might be aiming to copy old-school fnaf mystery, but the thing is, the first fnafs did commit to some points with a lot left to interpretation. Everything in Security Breach is up to interpretation and it feels like a puzzle with missing pieces and also other puzzle pieces have been thrown in.

About Glitchtrap, I just wish he appeared more in Security Breach, being the main villain. This circles back to the whole "I wish we saw more Vanny!" because Vanny is literally Glitchtrap taking control of Vanessa. The Vanny/Glitchtrap problem in Security Breach is what differentiates them from the animatronics? On a threat level, they're the same. Or if I dare say saw, Roxy and Monty were more of a threat to me than Vanny. Vanny was easy too to escape for a character that was so hyped. The same thing goes with the Burntrap ending: my biggest threat was Roxy because I did not understand I was supposed to use Chica's voicebox with Freddy. Actually, the only thing Burntrap does is sending animatronics after you and trying to possess Freddy (that's two things!). Which, I get is like ooh scary he's powerful enough to send everyone after you but the thing is he's not powerful enough to walk down the hallway and kick my ass. I could just hit him with a metal bar in the knee and he would not get up.

I'm kind of disappointed that they hyped Glitchtrap up in HW2 with his face and corruptions on the games only to hit us with a secret ending (obtained with tasks that have little do to with said ending) that is just to tell us something we already knew: that Vanessa beat Glitchtrap and freed herself.

It's sad because they actually nailed HW1, with his almost constant presence next to you, watching you, leaving you to wonder who he is and what does he wants and he is going to be a threat in my game selection menu or am I ok there? His level was one of my favourites, it gave me old fnaf mystery vibes actually. It reminded me of reading fanfics at 1am and felt like actually playing the fanfic - if that makes sense.

All that being said, is he really gone tho?

In Ruins, we have a "new" villain coming from nowhere (no the books aren't an answer I'm sorry but if it's not stated in the games it is not in the games that's how storytelling works. and I am not buying and reading fucking books to understand what's going on in the game I already paid a lot for) that mimics others. Glitchtrap's whole thing was to mimic William. To me, they're obviously linked and even if it's not Glitchtrap himself, the Mimic still holds Glitchtrap's legacy.

Plus it's been discarded but can we talk about the fact that it's been pointed out multiple times that Vanessa isn't Glitchtrap's only possessed victim? You have yourself, the player in Help Wanted 1 who ends up being possessed and locked away. But then we never mention this again?

And then you have that one note in Security Breach, about how Vanessa was hired by someone in the hierarchy despite her not being qualified for the job. Which doesn't mean anything by itself, for all we know she could've been hired by family as well. But this could also mean it wasn't family and it could have been someone also possessed? Or were they blackmailed?

This is just a detail but this is one of the many details that they didn't commit to giving us an answer and all adding up we barely got an answer for anything and that is one of Security Breach's weakest points.

Why I have mixed feelings on The Mimic

I have mixed feelings on The Mimic after playing Ruin.

Why I've grown to like it.

To me the new FNAF games are the horrors of Fazbear Entertainment not learning their lesson and repeating the sins of the past and The Mimic is built on the agony of Freddy's. It's Afton's legacy being passed down. The agony he started is being continued to this day and you can bet he is smiling and proud that even tho he's in a hell of his own making, his legacy is being continued and he couldn't be even more proud, although his pride and satisfaction is unsettling Cassidy and Charlie. The Mimic is Fazbear's Curse and while William might not be around, his legacy remains or I guess you could say William's legacy is remnant(I had to)

Why I don't like it.

The original story of Security Breach was scrapped because of Sony's meddling and Scott's bad communication. To me, The Mimic felt like course correcting. Vanny's potential was squandered. Help Wanted seemed like it was leading to William's revival.

The Pizzaplex being built over the remains over Freddy Fazbear's Pizza Place feels meaningless if it wasn't about William's revival.

Princess Quest shows Glitchtrap as something we'd see Afton turning into the Afton Amalgamation. But if that wasn't the plan, why even include it in Princess Quest?

The Princess is labeled as Cassidy in Princess Quest. But if Glitchtrap isn't Afton, why label her as Cassidy and paint it as Cassidy trying to free Vanessa and ending Afton once and for all?

I feel as though Afton was meant to be the puppet master.

William was Glitchtrap and Burntrap was the plan, but Princess Quest is the canon ending and that stopped Burntrap’s revival and it just melted away(you can see the steam in the recharge station in Ruin) so without William, The Mimic was free to return to what it was created to do(dismember limbs) and lure Cassie to free it.

I think William was the puppet master because of the trailer line

"When i first found you, you were nothing, you were small, pathetic… But now, you are more…. Are you ready?" This could be Afton talking to The Mimic or Vanny.

“You will do as I say, you will bring me what I want, and if you fail me, then you will–both of you–BURN!”

BOTH OF YOU, meaning Vanny and The Mimic.

Just keep things SIMPLE. Fazbear Entertainment was cutting costs and scanning the circuit boards of Scraptrap and the remains of the animatronics from FFPS and that’s how Glitchtrap was made.(or you know fully intended to create Glitchtrap because someone in Fazbear wanted William to return) Glitchtrap wants a follower that will help make him whole and help him fulfill his plans. Which is restore his family in his twisted image. Glitchtrap wants full control of the Pizzaplex, Vanny is completing his instructions, retrieving his body and uses Glamrock Bonnie’s remains to repair his suit and Burntrap wants to kill Gregory for his remnant. Not everything needs to be overly complicated, Scott.

Everything that made Vanny special was taken away by The Mimic and Gregory as GGY. They've made it clear that Vanny didn't matter and that was bullshit. It’s like every step in this new narrative seems like her character’s importance is getting diminished to less and less, like half the stuff she’s supposed to have done in this narrative has been has been…the roles of it has been filled in by other characters. Gregory is the one who puts the Glitch in the Pizzaplex, but she was the one who originally supposed to do that in the scrapped emails for FNAF AR and she hasn’t even been mentioned ONCE in these new books. Gregory has. The Mimic has. Glitchtrap technically has, but like no Vanny. What the fuck? There’s no presence of her and she’s supposed to be one of the new main antagonists, but now they’ve completely shafted her character for the sake of WHAT??? So not only did they fuck over Vanny in the games, they do the same fucking thing in the books. What WAS THE FUCKING POINT OF HELP WANTED IF YOU WERE GOING TO GIVE VANNY’S ROLE TO GREGORY???

They didn't have to use The Mimic. They could've used Vanny. Vanny could've used recordings of Gregory and synthesized his voice to lure Cassie and other children down to the Pizzaplex. Could make the Vanny or Burntrap endings canon. This could've been what redeemes Vanny. But no, instead they gave up and abandoned Vanny altogether and gives her role to The Mimic. "Cassie could be the new Vanny" I don't give a shit. Help Wanted established Vanny and Security Breach was supposed to be VANNY'S GAME. If they wanted a new villain so badly, they had Vanny RIGHT FUCKING THERE!

I mean just imagine Ruined Vanny! Vanny is shattered by the Staffbots, but she's alive. Vanessa is dead, but Vanny remains. To keep her body moving she repairs herself with parts from staff bots and animatronic parts from Parts And Service. Vanny lives and she plans on getting her revenge on Gregory and any other child she can lure to continue Afton's work and you could've replaced MXES with the actual Glitchtrap. art by azoinab.

But if they wanted Princess Quest to be canon, they could've used The Afton Amalgamation. Burntrap assimilates The Blob and becomes The Agony. The Pizzaplex is in ruins because of Afton. Have Gregory, Vanessa and Cassie working together to rebuild the Glamrocks, put together Happiest Day and ending Afton once and for all or ending Afton to how he dies in Fazbear Frights.

I am well aware that Five Nights At Freddy's is more than Afton, but saying we don't need William anymore is like saying Halloween doesn't need Michael Myers or saying Elm Street doesn't need Freddy Krueger. Complaining about William returning is like complaining about a horror icon returning, it's just dumb and silly. He is the monster that started it all and having a final end as the Afton Amalgamation would be more fitting than as Scraptrap.

To me, the script was flipped and the story was changed because of the reception to Security Breach. They gave up on Vanny and changed Afton to The Mimic. You can argue that Scott has this planned out since 2019 all you want, but using Afton's image for a new villain without any hints whatsoever in the game that this isn't Afton was just dumb. And honestly? We already had a Mimic esque character. Ennard. Ennard and Mimic are the same concept (evil endoskeleton mimics humans) and I think Ennard came out much better. When it comes down to it. Scott had bad communications as what he wanted Steel Wool to do and The Mimic just comes out of left field and at the expense of Vanny and Afton.

SECURITY BREACH RUIN SPOILERS

Finally got around to watching a Security Breach Ruin playthrough, oh boy. That was a lot. Most notably in my own thoughts, or as many as I can pull out of my head right now-

• Obviously, so much more fleshed out and developed. I'm really happy SW was given all the time they needed to make this dlc, because it's just so so good, storywise and obviously in its gameplay compared to the unfortunate fate of security breach.

• Bonnie's Glamrock design had me screaming - there he was!! I love all the fanon designs for him don't get me wrong, his game design is just as refreshing and cool. The bright light blue in the main of him reminded me of Toy Bonnie (aka one of my favourite animatronics) and was a very nice colour to choose in comparison to purple, since that colour is mostly incorporated in Roxy's design now (and Aftons whole thing but ykwim). Brilliant!!

• ROXY. OUGH. I pitied her and liked the memes abt her that went around during the first game and her hatred for Gregory following into the new one (duh, wants her damn eyes back), but oh my god her whole thing with Cassie made me so sad. Surely your friends will show up this time!!! Number one!!! Twice!!!

• Not gonna lie, was very much expecting an ending where the mask gets permanently stuck on Cassies head and the AI Bunny(cant remember atm what ites being called lmao) just torments her for all of eternity. It struck me as really important that the mask had such an intrusive and physical method of use, and how Cassie is now permanently connected to the network whether she has it on or off, I thought they were going to do more with it in the endings. I know that the Brazil ending had Cassie using it to hide from her fate with the mimic, but that feels to me like its more about Cassie using it to escape rather than the reality of the mask now being specifically part of her. Not a complaint at all though, just my own personal thoughts and observations!!!

• The Mimic. Yeesh. Rip having to pretend to be Gregory of all people just to get out from a sinkhole, may I remind you the Mimic literally sassed Helpi in the first rid of the AI Bunny? Most in character line he managed to stitch together lmao (i have more to say abt it but I am too tired to try and write thst out rn)

• CANDY CADET. SOBBING.

• That poster up by the vents from BOWLING to FAZER BLAST being Freddy's poster for Bonnie? Cry. Legitimately made me tear up a little. I don't care what context people are choosing to frame their relationship in based on that "Love, Freddy" bit or what is actually confirmed canon (when do we ever get that in fnaf tho/j), they were programmed robots with a legitimate sense of care and affinity for each other and that is SO. DAMN. SAD.

• Follow up to that, DID SHUTTING DOWN ALL OF THE CUTE LITTLE YELLOW SIGN BABIES RELEASE BONNIE'S SPIRIT OR KILL IT? Regardless, those glowing eyes from his body in the secret bowling area had to mean something. Imagine being destroyed like that and having your soul trapped in your immovable body, waiting for who knows how long for someone to evem find you...

• Monty's story? Both don't trust it or Monty at all and still feel kinda a little bad for him. Going on the principle that he's had the ability to feel since the beginning too makes me worry for his possible character conflict when/if his full story if explicitly revealed. Someone gave him the ability to become one of the four, and still I don't think it was Bonnie despite the little art story. Monty might have been the one to destroy Bonnie to get there, but I think that hand with the guitar is symbolising that he had some kind of help along the way.

• Was kinda hoping Chica was gonna get more of a fleshed out backstory but its fine, she got her bits and thats okay! What was with the voice box bit??? Her minigame looked like fun tho lmao

That's most of what I feel like bringing up for now. Overall just a solid, banger fnaf game that I absolutely now just regard as its own installment completely seperate to Security Breach. Finally getting back into the swing of things. Cant wait for what's next!

The audacity of Munakata to use this situation against Makoto, after he killed Juzo.

Makoto closing Kyoko's eyes and getting her blood his hand.

And he's angry.

Wipes his tears, gets up and says he's gonna face Munakata once and for all.

This isn't the first time we've seen Makoto angry, but this feels different. This is such a cold rage.

Ryota my dude... I like you but don't say that. He's not brushing her death off, he's heartbroken just as much as Asahina if not more.

He just doesn't have the luxury of breaking down right now.

He has a duty, he's going to fulfill it. It's what Kyoko wanted.

Him explaining it sounding so close to tears tho... Ooooh. I hope was Bryce okay when he did these voice overs.

Or minimising the impact of it. It is delivered as this awful tragedy and with such weight and pain, as it should be.

The little walk around and deep breathe, yeah I feel you there Makoto.

The flashback of Chisa sobbing to Munakata during the tragedy asking when it'll end.

See it did end but than you had to go and become the assassin of hope. Don't think that's what Chisa would've wanted.

Makoto's little self pep talk, he's just trying his best.

I love seeing the difference between Makoto and Munakata's perception of Hope.

Makoto sees it as a feeling that brings people up that he can use to help others. While Munakata sees it as a tool of destruction he can use to destroy all despair.

Makoto wants people to live, he wants them to live and spread hope. While Munakata is okay with sacrificing all life but himself if it means an end to despair.

Makoto saying "I'll stop you" and Munakata saying "I'll save you."

It's really unnerving that Munakata thinks that killing peoole is an act of compassion.

And the chase begins.

Munakata getting hit by the sprinklers and looking like a wet cat.

I hope somewhere Mondo and Sakura are giving Makoto pointers and cheering him on in this fight.

Was not expecting Makoto to try and fry Munakata alive.

This really went full Security breach.

I love how he just threw it, it didn't work but props to him.

It zoomed back up and hit him. Never underestimate Makoto's luck, because it be both good and bad and unlike Nagito's not easily predictable.

Nagito's luck is very cause and effect, Makoto's is whenever the universe wants to stop using him as a punching bag.

Makoto would do anything to save another person, even if they were gone he'd remember them for who they were and honour the good they've done.

While Munakata seeks to destroy anyone who doesn't meet his ideals or perceptions of hope.

Munakata remembering who Chisa was and screaming, I feel like it's the first time he's really let himself grieve.

Using his first name too, this is such a powerful scene.

Their not friends, but this is the first time these two have ever understood each other.

They've bared their souls, greiving the people they've lost and just thinking what do we do now?

And Munakata's eye turning to normal, just perfect.

This is unironically what the Martha scene in Batman V Superman should have been.

This is a perfect encapsulation of that shared greif and understanding between two people who've lost so much.

Okay here's a huge essay on why five nights at freddy's is very successful and works for me / has become popular. big inconsistent text dump to my friend in discord that i figured i should post. and ive already done so many essays so i dont want to clean this up coz im tired and my head hurts but im SO FUCKING INVESTED in fnaf right now. ok. the autism

Anyways. It’s obvious to me how FNAF was successful as a thing because A. it was VERY new when it came out and that was already working its favor. but why did THAT keep going to like 6 or 7 and counting games?? it’s coz B. the writing is??? good??? it balances horror and humor VERY well which is extremely important to make horror Approachable and accessible to a lot of people.

balancing horror and humor like that makes it so the game is not 24/7 stress, showing that it knows how to pace itself really well. i think the pacing is really well done in fnaf. to me, even tho the lore is mid because i like it better simpler, the way the lore ties in together across all of the games up until the pizzeria simulator AND keeps the vibes across all games AND tries new things with each game (some more successful than others) i think works VERY well in fnafs favor

like it was very well paced and very well tied together even though shit was made up as you go. ie scott (the creator) pulled that lore out of his ass. he only had the basic base level storyline there, but later iterations of it were added on later

unlike, for example, homestuck which is the same type of thing (made up as you go) but too much and too overwhelming. homestuck is its own big thing that like. changed a lot and was really groundbreaking for being new, but it went off the deep end and tried to be Too much. which honestly i think is similar with fnaf.

HOWEVER. even in security breach where it’s too much at once and just falls apart coz it was TOO ambitious, that story and that pacing is still??? there?? and the humor and the general tone of the whole thing is EXTREMELY consistent throughout the whole series and that’s really what makes it effective for me and why im still invested in this even like six games later

like the vibes stay the same. they dont really stray TOO much. and i think its great how Scott (the creator) tried different things in each game and each game is some iteration of the previous. some work better than others. but the tone is consistent (the humor and horror balance and pace out very well), and the vibes are consistent (the aesthetic remains similar throughout), and the pacing and the way the story and lore is hidden throughout everything is consistent. and i think because of that because it STICKS TRUE TO ITSELF it’s remained an extremely popular and successful franchise like i said. even in security breach. which is a complete wreck of a project. the lore and shit is still consistent in there (you just have a WAY harder time getting to it because everything else wasn’t optimized), and the pacing is consistent

and like i think also even when the story is done and finished. and it’s like oh just let the franchise die. let it be over. the games still remain successful to me coz of the consistency. you could’ve ended the story there, yes, but you didn’t, you kept adding lore. however you added lore in such a way that was consistent to the way lore was added in the beginning, and you kept your tone and your vibes and your pacing consistent, so any new lore even though pulled out of one’s ass / thin air still fits in completely with the franchise, unlike the way homestuck did it with the epilogues.

gonna be real, the writing in the fnaf movie was bootycheeks and I believe it was held back by being a pg-13 movie

I went into the movie with lore knowledge up to when I stopped being interested in fnaf, which was around the time of fnaf 4 or sister location's release. The story within the game series is incredibly dark and should have had an R rating so they could have actually delved into the actual story and implications sprinkled throughout each game. In the fnaf games(from what I recall) all those kids died rather gruesomely via animatronics or by the hands of William Afton or other kids at the pizza place. A key point is that they all died in the pizzeria and they were all there unsupervised by any adult(it was the 80s and people loved leaving their kids unsupervised for some reason despite the sheer amount of kids being snatched up at the time) Mike Schmidt was a security guard and was one of the older sons of William Afton, Mike changed his name so he wasnt affiliated with his father I'm assuming. The fact that his father was a serial child killer who accidently killed his own daughter when making one of his animatronics also could have been used in the movie.

Despite being labelled a "horror movie" its not in anyway horror. The only jumpscare was MatPat for me because for some reason they decided to use fucking Balloon Boy as a cheap jumpscare not once, but twice. The whole movie was just piling on references for fnaf fans and hoping nobody paid attention to the writing. I was unironically kinda bored the whole time.

Mike Schmidt/Michael Afton in the movie for some reason is not William Afton's son. I dont know the Vanessa character but I do know she's from Security Breach which looks to take place in modern times or perhaps the future, for some reason in the movie she gets teleported to the late 80s or 90s as a character.

Then there's the whole thing with Mike's brother that literally makes zero sense. Why did Afton go out to the middle of buttfuck nowhere Nevada just to kidnap some kid in a forested area and then kill him? His pizzeria was already an open haven of unsupervised kids so doing all that was literally not necessary.

Also there was no phone guy even though I wanted to hear phone guy. The thing with the vhs tape was giving corny analog horror, I wanted my man phone guy, he wouldve added much more atmosphere then some dream sequences or that vhs.

I was also waiting for Mike to work at least once through those few days or maybe a fast forward to the day when phone guy got clapped and was actively dying on the phone call whilst Mike dookies himself in fear when the animatronics start disappearing and move the people there to vandalize to show up when all that is happening.

[Edit: Oh and the vandelizers that were hired to destroy the pizzeria so Mike gets fired all get offed off screen too and arent mentioned ever again even tho one of them was literally Mike's sister's babysitter like huh????]

Also the aunt????? Got folded like a lawn chair???????? And thats never addressed????? No line, no investigation or anything, they forgot the aunt got folded????

There could've been a change in the animatronics attitudes where they realize Mike is an Afton but never outright state it, like the animatronics act like children but then that changes instantly when they put two and two together and become more hostile.

So much interesting shit could have been done even if it adds its own lore but nah they dropped the ball by just filling the movie with as much references as possible without having a real coherent story.

I’ve been loving all these mermay daycare assistants! But it hit me that I haven’t seen any full animatronic versions. They’re all partly or fully organic. So I knew what I had to do.

Fazbear’s expands and opens up a brand new waterpark! Along with a kiddy pool and automated attendants. More reliable (and cheaper) than hired lifeguards! You’ll only see Sundrop during your visit to the park though. While the park did originally stay open after dark, after a few incidents involving the automated lifeguards, management decided it would be more beneficial to close before sunset.

Now I’m not planning on a full AU or anything with these guys. But you can’t help but to think up a little lore when you stare at these guys all day. Drawn from memory based off of @bamsara‘s Sun and Moon designs. (Which seem to have become my default... xD Colors are based (very) loosely off the official designs.

Okay so I just wanted an excuse to do another animation. This time featuring Zen fixing something someone! Of course my brain instantly went to probably the most difficult/dangerous animatronic, @glitchysquidd's Inverted Sun!

Their fic "I'm not paid enough" is fucking amazing! I absolutely LOVE it so far. Their Sun is such a cool character. I have a hard time imagining him letting anyone repair him though! And an even harder time believing that he'd be able to sit still long enough.

Maybe Zen convinced him that he can give better hugs when he has BOTH arms...

well,,, i wouldnt say i really do because theyre just a cooler version of me who's more emotionally available who gets hella bitches(/hj) BUT here are a few facts abt them •v•

jet is MAINLY used as an undertale/utmv sona, but i did go through a period where i threw them in gravity falls and security breach. i nicknamed them bells and rocks respectively :)

there are many many aus ive made for them, but the most "canon" story is the one where they're isekai'd into the utmv (ive explained the lore on this post if you wanna check it out!) and this post will feature mostly info based off that!

they're AFAB and have gone through top surgery because im AFAB and want top surgery

their silly voice in my head sounds like thoma from genshin impact HAHA

they've got a bravery soul!

the scarf i draw them with was a gift from error. they are friends :) even if they sometimes make him uncomfortable just for existing (he hates the fact they know things about him even HE doesn't know/remember)
