The hilarious coincidence about this was when I found this news out I was talking to my dad about a dream I had last night in which the date for the series was revealed to be February! It was just really weird! I will also say the description of the first episode (directed by Shaun Evans, YES!) is freaking me out! 😰😂

but it’s gonna be cool to see older cases come up since it’s the last series! (Also I really hope we see Hugo DeVris at some point, although it’s unlikely as I think the inciting case with DeVris happened whilst Morse was at Kidlington. It’d be fun if they had a reference). I really want Morse to at least get the iconic Jag Mark II this series!

I guess I’ve got roughly two months or just under to prepare emotionally for the end of my second favourite show and favourite detective show….yeah there’s no way I’m going to be emotionally prepared for this is there, we’re in the Endgame now 😰😭

So. Danny might have accidentally become a bit of a cryptid. He didn’t mean to, but he’d become a bit nocturnal- like many an Amity Parker- and it wasn’t his fault that he couldn’t be bothered to make sound when he was tired. Or pretend to breathe or, okay, he could see why he kept freaking people out at the grocery store he kept going to. 

But it wasn’t his fault! He has to get food too! And really is it anyone else’s business? Seriously he thought that people wouldn’t be so surprised with how much magic is everywhere. Like you’d think they’d never seen someone who wasn’t fully human before or something. 

Oh great, there’s a journalist at the grocery store now- he’s going to ignore that and finish his shopping and then continue his online work. Ooh, and eat icecream. He deserves it for potentially putting up with this.

Mikey and Leo episode centered around Mikey wanting to push Leo and Draxum together since Leo’s the most reluctant to give Draxum any grace (for good reason!) But, thinking on the spot, Leo says he’s gotta go do something for Hueso and “just can’t hang out right now 😔” (yes, he says the emoji out loud.)

Mikey calls his bluff and now the three of them (Mikey having grabbed a weary Draxum along) go to Hueso’s to find that yes, he actually does have a job for him. Said job asks for Leo to go with Hueso to deliver multiple pizzas to this giant yokai quite a distance away, and Hueso figured it would probably go better with Leo’s help (emphasis on probably.)

Well, Mikey decides that this would be a great bonding opportunity for them and basically invites he and Draxum along. Unfortunately for Leo, Hueso doesn’t care enough to wave away more help, though he does side-eye the wanted criminal Baron Draxum coming with them. But who is he to judge? (This choice has consequences.)

The journey goes about as terribly as you’d expect, but at least the pizzas get delivered on time.
