I am so excited for the proper debut of my #1 babygirl Jiro

I spent like WAY too much time choosing who I wanted in the prologue and I narrowed it down to I think Lucas, Haku and Jiro. After much deliberation I finally landed on Jiro and I have adored him the whole game. He's not my current FAVOURITE (that's Sho, the relationship build up there was beautiful, I can't NOT love a capable, cute guy who takes a bit to warm up to you), but boy howdy am I ready for the next chapter to change that.

I'm tossing up between wanting to literally put him out of his misery (Jiro lovers can relate) and laying him down on my lap, playing with his hair and reading him philosophical works. Or horror. I think he'd enjoy H.P. Lovecraft.

TL;DR: the next chapter can't come soon enough

I’ve been trying to figure out how to draw a few of the main characters, but Dazai... I don’t know what it is about his face, but my brain is simply unable to comprehend proportions when I try draw him. Like. Chuuya. Is FInE! I can draw him with minimal effort! (When I say minimal, I mean the average amount of effort for copying an anime character-) Atsushi is also achievable! (I honestly haven’t drawn many of the other characters,- Ranpo is on my ‘going to try next’ list though,) But Dazai Osamu?!!! It just doesn’t work??

I have spent two weeks. Two Weeks. Trying to get this guys face right... And I managed it. Twice. Out of like, -I don’t even know how many attempts. 

*sighs in ‘rant over’

Anyway! It took a few months, -well a couple of weeks for seasons 3-4- but I finished watching Bungou Stray Dogs and story aside, I really like the clothes. Like, if I were ever to do a cosplay it would be from this anime. (TRENCHCOATS!!!~~~) from a character design/drawing standpoint, I really like Dazai, -even if I can’t really get his face right-. In a strictly, ‘I would never want to meet this kind of person in real life,’ kind of way. And a ‘I like characters with trench coats’ side to it as well.

Sometimes I wonder how many people I have negative opinions of solely because the information I've been given about them is biased.

My mom cheated on her boyfriend, the guy she cheated with was married and cheating on his wife. I was a product of that affair. Yet, my moms boyfriend stayed with her and raised me as his own until they broke up several years later.

I have pictures of him holding me, playing with me, I can remember him trying to teach me to whistle, and taking me for rides on his motorcycle. But my memories of him are vague and my mom tells me h they fought all the time and it's better that he's gone. But my entire life I can't remember a single day when my mom didn't start a fight with someone, me, my brother, my aunt, whoever she was dating, someone at work, etc.

So maybe he was selfish, or maybe my mom was the problem. Or maybe it was both of them. Maybe I've held negative feelings about a man who was willing to raise a child that not only wasn't his but was the result of his girlfriend cheating on him, solely because of my mother's anger.

It makes me wonder if things would have been different if he was still in my life. Makes me wonder if he ever misses me.

I hate to ask this of you if you’re not taking request since I know you’ve been getting a lot of asks lately, but I really love the bits of characterization you give everyone in your art and am just. Eating up every last crumb in your doodles…so would it be too much to ask if you would draw the OG champions (Cynthia, Lance, Steven, Wallace, & Diantha if you feel like it) interacting or doing something together? I don’t ask for more than that, it can be whatever you want and range from a silly/casual activity to something more formal. I just really love them together and you’ve fed the champion fandom so well lately, thank you for that 🥺🙏🏻❤️
