RC9GN Commentary + Thoughts

my current and ridiculous hyperfixation on RC9GN is dominating my entire life, oops- but basically, this is mostly me once again testing the waters of not only a potential fanfic with a reimagined/continued-fanon season three and beyond but before i start

Here’s my general commentary of the show!

For starters- Randy is so neurodivergent-coded? He has ADHD, and I feel if his actions in the canon are viewed from a more ND angle, a lot of his behavior makes so much more sense to be honest; he stims, he doesn’t exactly think before he acts sometimes (and it’s only later - once he’s truly thought about his own actions - that he finally realizes he could’ve messed up), he gets overstimulated, and on another thing- he definitely has displayed signs of not only rejection sensitivity dysphoria but he also looks for others’ approval - not in the people pleasing way, he wants to be noticed and he can’t exactly get that

The show can be mature- and it shows in certain moments. Howard‘s beef with the Nomicon is genuinely legitimate, and we see he hates and despises being alone - he’s not socially anxious, but he does seem to only have Randy as his friend; though could it also be tied with Howard just being so used to having him as company that not having him around just gets a little distressing? They were friends from literally three years old- maybe it’s the knowledge that Randy’s now faced with this life-threatening role?

Another thing! The whole thing with the First Ninja (part of the commentary and thoughts of this post) having lost his entire family at the hands of the Sorcerer? That has got to have developed some serious ptsd and survivor’s guilt- it could explain why he’s so strict and rational and attempts to be this mediating figure but also suddenly gives up and loses his temper (like- if his soul is in the nomicon, then has he had proper contact with people? He’d have been completely isolated-)

Going off on “Finja” (though i seriously need to give him a name-), his official introductory episode could’ve gone so much better? Like. I get it, why he seemingly gave up so quickly but also- I think he sees his younger self in Randy and that’s why he could be harder on him, but going back on the last point; “Finja” has gone through so much - even if it isn’t inherently canon - and goodness me, I wish we could’ve seen more of his character- and the idea he’s Randy’s ancestor? Hello?

The Norisu 9 is such an interesting concept- I want to know more, but for that I need to write it; who were they? They were a clan- could they possibly be brought back as other ninjas that fight alongside the Ninja? (AKA Randy) If that’s the case though, wouldn’t it have been mentioned beforehand? Then again- this is entirely fanon. Maybe it’s only in specific moments; like we all know there are eight other realms - apart from the Land of Shadows - that Randy would’ve had to face. The Norisu 9 are carefully chosen, and that’s likely why they weren’t seen before? Maybe it was thought the bloodline vanished- or only show up when fighting against specific threats like, say, the Sorceress- but now I have to figure out who would be the rest of the Norisu 9? Off the top of my head, genuinely- Debbie should be one of them (a theme of dark purple? But seriously- I feel they all have a select set of powers) - i can’t fully explain my thoughts right now, but also Theresa? Like, they definitely have certain qualities to be ninjas- though that still leaves six more people-

Also like, I really want more on the tengu and the ninja? I have a lot more dedicated to the fanon season three and this is only one part of my thoughts but- i keep thinking about the one episode where tengu! Howard (in the time travel/season one finale episode) was hurt and it affected Randy; like this has so much potential? Like just imagine the angst that could create- or even if Howard was permanently linked to the tengu, and he developed powers and things went a little… south - there is going to be so much I’m going to explore with this tbh

I need to dedicate an entire nine post thesis purely dedicated to my attempts at interpreting the different realms that Randy would have had to face if the show wasn't suddenly cancelled, oh my god

Another thing- the Sorcerer had so much potential as a villain; it's basically what he could have been if the show wasn't posed so much as a lighthearted action-comedy, but this is also a topic for another day. The amount of brainrot I've been dealing with is so ridiculous, someone help

Sebastian wouldn’t say he hates having to do all things things. Breaking etiquette is his favourite pastime and he loves to watch you fluster over his forwardness.

A fanfic idea I'd like to dedicate to you

I wanted to share this idea I have with you because I saw that beautiful animation you made of your OC Rubee and Wally with that scene of the Hunt vs Hunted AU that nonomives made and the other AUs incorporated in it. I'm actually currently writing a fanfic inspired by that AU with plans to dedicate it to nonomives (with their permission), and I just absolutely live for the angst and redemption arcs. Your incredible art really gave me the inspiration I needed to start working on it.

I'm actually in my lovers-turned-enemies trope right now, and my mind began racing with just this concept of (what if) Rubee actually surviving the Hunt vs Hunted scenario and was accidentally turned, but somehow the effect was so diluted it didn't necessarily destroy her mind and make her feral, but instead caused her to slowly start losing her mind, where any memories of Wally were tampered with or discarded and whatever horrors she might have witnessed were misplaced onto Wally?

(Because in reality, he'd never actually hurt her, she just convinced herself he did because there's so many pieces missing in her brain she had to just fill them in herself. And then there's the assumption Wally accidentally committed genocide as a response to his grief of losing Rubee, therefore, she's more convinced that he just has to be evil. She obviously doesn't know the true reason, only knowing that he had harmed a lot of people) (I'm thinking this affliction could potentially turn her immortal, or at least, very difficult to kill and inhumanely strong; but she could probably still get hurt).

Because of this, any positive feelings for him were replaced with disgust and hatred, where she felt her only response is to pretty much destroy him so he didn't hurt anyone else. But, it's conflicting because deep inside her soul she's hesitant, scared, and longing for the security/safety he provided her in the past, before she lost her memories /and before he thought she was dead/. 

Anyway, there was a scene playing in my mind where she managed to get to him, like, actions set in motion just ready to pierce his heart. And Wally's just looking up at her, not really fighting back, but holding her off, eyes just pitiful and sad and desperate; because "How is she alive-?".

He's in disbelief, emotions torn between sadness, anger, and overwhelming love. And she's trying to kill him, not realizing that she's crying and struggling to actually finish him off. Because, yes, she has to kill him so no one suffers like she did--but also, no, because that part of her that 'died' that night still clings to hope and love. 

I think Wally would immediately know that she's affected by his blood, since according to nonomives, people who are closer to Wally's blood go insane and feral, depending on the level of potency the person was dosed with. I really like this concept, because that could potentially lead to the rarest opportunity where someone hasn't been completely overcome by his affliction. Maybe Rubee was just extremely strong willed in mind and spirit, so her body (could have) managed to refrain from completely turning into a vampire zombie? That tiny, sliver of hope motivates Wally to figure out some sort of 'cure' for Rubee, but we have no idea what the implications of that would do.

(Could she die due to having lived so long and just turn into dust? Would she end up suffering from the pain and physical damage she's received all these years, finally catching up to her? Is there the chance she'll just return back to him? We don't really know. Too many endings, no solid answers.)

Here is a list of subreddits I don't like because this week is my six year anniversary on reddit. I should say I don't mind the subreddit itself, but I don't like it's members. Also I would like to say I'm not adding subreddits to this list out of spite due to being banned or because I lost an argument to someone on there.

opmfolk: most people on this subreddit dislike the changes made in the manga, which is fine. I agree with a lot of things they say. I dislike the sub because of the awful attitude they have; they act like Murata killed their kids because of the changes to the plot that began to appear in the MA arc. I don't know if ONE is also behind the changes, but if he is, no one on that sub thinks he should be blamed for it.

It's ironic the people on that sub hate the long breaks in between the releases of the manga chapters because it delays the plot, but seldom complain about the lack of updates in the webcomic, how many years has it been since the current webcomic arc began? They say Murata has gotten lazy and checked out of the series, but by their own logic, they should be saying that about ONE (I don't think either of them have).

I think too many of the members of the sub are bias and throw around childish insults, so that's why they're on the list. The concept of the subreddit is fine. I bet a lot of them will change their minds when the chapters they talk about hating get animated.

ao3: I like to start off by saying I read and write fanfiction. I think people on this subreddit are hypocrites, they love to preach 'don't like, don't read' but cannot keep the same energy themselves. Many posts in this sub consist of users screenshotting sections of fanfictions or fanfic blurbs or whatever just to complain about how they hate how it was written or when authors do this particular thing in their writing and so on. Going out of your way to take a screenshot of someone else's work to go complain about it in an echo chamber doesn't sound like 'don't like, don't read' to me. The users would go batshit insane if someone did that to them.

The sub also have a prevalent us vs them mentality, mostly towards tiktok fanfiction readers. They say they're more cliquey and rude, but I don't think the subreddit is any better in that regard, they love to dogpile just as much as tiktok ff readers. The A03 subreddit love to say 'I'm too old for drama!' yet there are always posts about them being caught up in drama in their respective fandoms.

They are also easily offended or seem to assume the worst out of comments. It’s so bad, some users post the comments they want to send to the author so the people of the subreddit can approve if it’s suitable or not, and they are often told to bulk up the praise. And if the writers of the sub themselves do receive a hate comment or a comment that isn’t overly positive, they feel the need to make a post to discuss it too. You can just block and move on if you're that upset. If you're not grovelling, their whole world falls apart. A lot of writers don't want interaction, but endless praise. I feel like many of them forget that readers do not owe them kudos, comments/ save. Writers can choose whether or not they want to publish their works, but readers can also choose whether or not they want to comment or kudos their fanfic.

They also humble brag by asking questions like ‘my fic has been up an hour and has 200 kudos, is that good??’ Like come onnn.

BridgertonNetflix: This applies to the smaller subreddits are created for the main couples. The Para social relationships on these subs are outrageous. So many of these people don't realise acting is a job, the way people reacted to Simon's actor leaving the show was wild, the actor still gets flack for it years later. I don't see what the issue is - his season was over, and he wouldn't have had a prominent enough role in future seasons to stick around. Loads of fans were upset because they blamed him for the lack of Daphne's appearances in S2 and her no show in S3, but you should get more mad at the writers if anything for not being able to write scenes where Daphne makes appearances without Simon, it shouldn't be that hard to do since the Bridgerton's are her family, not his. The hatred towards Simons actor is so unnecessary, and the snarky comments fans make about Anthony's actor being able to still appear despite his various projects are stupid as well. Anthony is head of the family, and the show is about his siblings, its expected that he's in every season. The same does not apply to Simon, it's not hard to understand.

Other weird para social relationships include the protagonists of Queen Charlotte - like stop shipping real people who are in their own relationships together. Beyond disrespectful and the fans made it seem like it was appropriate?

However, what I hate most about this subreddit are the Kate and Kantony stans, which sadly, most people in the subreddit are. You can make a post about how, despite all the excuses the show throws at you, Kanthony were still in the wrong for having an affair under Edwina's nose, or god forbid, point out that Kate is not perfect, and people in the comments will call you racist, sexist, trying to create discourse, having a vendetta against the actress...and multiple posts pop up to defend Kate. I wish I was joking but I've seen this happen multiple times, it happened today actually. A line her stans love to use is 'here we go again' when someone makes a post about disliking Kate, but if someone said that about the endless Kate appreciation posts they would accuse of creating a hate brigade. There's a reason why only so many posts about Kanthony get locked...their fans are crazy.

Any UK subreddits: So xenophobic and racist. This could political UK subreddits or casual ones - all are influenced by politics in some way which is annoying. I dread reading the comments on these subreddits but I still end up doing it. These subreddits usually have articles attached to the posts, but everyone in comments they're dumbass opinions based on the rage bait title instead of reading the articles contents. The jokes are so unfunny too.

Unpopular opinions: I've said this before but they just hate women, so many posts are like 'women are superficial' 'women online are awful' but one post making the same generalisation towards men and suddenly its 'not all men are like this' and ''sexist'.

Most unpopular opinions are not unpopular either, or are just factually incorrect. People use the upvoting system wrong here too, you're meant to upvote unpopular opinions, but basic and tame popular opinions tend to mostly be the most upvoted.

Sixth form and uni subreddits: I find the people on these subs annoying because many of these people worship STEM and look down on humanities subjects. Many people on these subreddits also believe any uni which isn't Oxbridge or a Russel group uni is awful. And I'm saying that as someone who does stem at a Russel group. For the uni subreddit especially, everyday there's a post where someone is upset they failed a year of university or got caught cheating and want a way to get out of trouble, but upon reading the post, you realise its 100% their own fault they failed. Like come on bro. I don't like other uni students at my university so I think I project my hatred and insecurities onto the subreddit.

I wish my teachers from back then in school didn't take too much into account the age rating of books and choosed books for the class to read based on the kids interests in said class.

I'm not saying to read mature rated books to kindergarten kids. I mean in highschool or even primary school, taking more into account what could be a read good enough to make the kids want to start reading by themselves. Don't choose a book base only if it's age appropriate and if you liked the title, but about the story. I know the books the teachers course are actually from an approved list by the school, but those books are always shit.

I don't like reading, I've hated or gotten bored of every book a teacher has made me read. Fantasy, mystery, slice of life, hated them all.

The worst was when the book was in basque (hi, I'm from Basque country, it's in Spain, in case you didn't know I'm from there, now you know), those books- listen, there is a whole thing going on with the current basque that is talked here, with the thing of being an artificial amalgamation of what was the OG language. We don't have a nice catalogue of basque books to read... specially because they are all recently written, and I mean this century. The basque authors have to start somewhere, but that's all we have.

(something something people being haunted decades ago for talking basque, parents not teaching the language to their kids to protect them, losing the language, trying to bring it back by ripping out words from Spanish and the little they could save from the lost one, something something, and now there are only a few villages that can talk the original basque and can't understand shit from the new basque and that's fucking sad because the new one is so clumsy and awkward and the old one was so much pretty but anyways this could have been its own post)

This stupid book, I remember crying because I didn't want to read that book. It was so bad, so fucking boring but had to do a resume of the whole book and I only had a chapter left and I was pulling at my hair because I couldn't bring myself to read it. It wasn't even a long book, in fact, one of the shortest I've read in my life. Must have been less than 100 pages around 10 short chapters, BIG FONT FOR KIDS. I hated it with all my soul and I made sure to express that in my resume. You have no idea of how relieved I was that it was over and that my brother and mother didn't have to convince me anymore to read it.

A few years ago my brother tried to get me into Terry Pratchett's books but I got bored fast. I had people around me try to recommend books to read. Any time someone started talking to me about a book they've read my brain would shut down and I would be just like "yeah cool 🙂(<-trying really hard to fake having interest)".

Once I tried to find ways to get me into reading the books assigned from school, like 30 minutes read a day. I would put timers in my phone and try not to look at the clock. When my father found out he got really mad at me and scolded me for some reason I to this day still don't understand. My mother wasn't mad but she told me that if I had to read a number of chapters assigned, I had to read those chapters. And I dropped the book. Completely. I didn't submit the resume we had to do at the end of the year.

The concept of picking a book to read and actually reading it... I can't do that. The times I tried to read a book because someone really wanted me to read it, my brain has just stopped a few pages in, like "yeah no, this isn't happening buddy, we are not reading today."

One day suddenly, I started reading. A lecture that caught me enough to read the first 4 chapters in a row. Another time I read the equivalent of 4 books in a week. And suddenly it's not as hard as before to pick up something from the list to read and know that I'm going to read it later. It was a fanfic who made me think "Oh shit! Wait! Reading is fun!?!?!?!"

But I'm only reading because I'm familiar with the characters that are in the fic, and I want to see more stories about that specific character.

I can start watching a show, a gameplay, pick up a fanfic... I can't pick up a book and read it without losing interest.

ruminations on fanfiction

I have been all happy today because of all the requests I got, so I'm thinking about all the reasons I love fanfic, and all the happiness it brings to my life, yada yada yada.

So, I majored in English, and for the first half or so of my undergrad, I planned to go into the publishing field. (This will be relevant, I promise.) I wrote things that I submitted places and tried to get published. Some of them were accepted and some of them were rejected. I took editing classes and volunteered as an editor for my school's literary journal.

And I didn't like it.

I realized after a little bit that the more "advanced" I got into that field and that world, the more I disliked it. It wasn't what I was best at, either. I never really got the hang of making good editing decisions (as in, deciding whether to accept or reject a submission). Trying to cater my own writing towards what publishers wanted was also less than enjoyable.

I love, love writing, so it's not that I regretted my major or lost the passion or anything. But I like writing the most when it's not going to be evaluated. Either when that's my own writing being evaluated by a publisher, or me as the editor evaluating someone else's work. Those are important jobs that I don't want to dismiss as inherently immoral or something like that-- if you're an editor, that's awesome. But it just wasn't for me. I always liked people's pieces too much or not enough, depending on whether it spoke to me, personally. It was too hard to be objective. I didn't really like trying to be objective.

So I don't write stuff to send to publishers anymore. For one thing, I'm in grad school now in a different field, and for another, I just really don't enjoy myself as much when I'm writing a piece that makes my brain go into that mode of "this has to be good" in a literary sense of the word good. At some point in my life I might like to go back to that kind of writing. But for right now, it's just not enjoyable, and since writing is a hobby for me, I don't make myself try to sit down and write something that I'm not excited about.

But I write loads and loads of fanfiction because fanfiction is so freeing. It's the epitome of self-indulgence. It's like this giant playground where I can write about vulnerable concepts like sexual desire and body image and aging and relationships. I mean, personally, I don't see myself writing sex scenes in anything except fanfiction, especially ones so detailed and intended for enjoyment.

But it's really like you're writing in this separate little safe bubble where you can do anything you want. The only feedback you receive is positive (I mean, just personally, I've never received a hate comment, so I can say that.) You can write works that are as short or as long as you want. You can post every day or once a month. You can always write the exact same trope, or you can do something totally new every time. And whatever you write, there will probably be an audience for it.

It's writing just purely for the sake of enjoyment. You're not trying to be good. You're not trying to pen a masterpiece. You're not submitting it for approval-- instead, you're posting it to be enjoyed freely, with zero barrier to entry. And that's what prevents me from losing motivation. Imagine how challenging it is to keep your cousins and sibs not to mess with the TARDIS or climb the poor timelord like a tree? He was great with them especially because he got cool stories and jellybabies on his arsenal. Those gremlins were mild difficulty. Titas approved but not fond of the candy strat tho.

You also got to keep a look out lest they wander at the custonary karaoke booze traps at the yard! Some of the titos managed to offer a drink or two before I could intervene. I know he is a perfectly capable adult timelord that could probably hold his drink better than any human could but he is the designated driver and those Lambanog are no joke. Harry was a lost cause tho.

Somehow my house is bigger on the inside which is cool and every single one of my family got their own rooms! (Manifesting it into reality \(ᴗ ͟ʖᴗ)/) It was like a hotel almost it was giving casita aesthetic but bigger! And less sentient. The kitchen was industrial (giant woks!) And the pantry was like a cross between a hobbit's and a grocery store. It was so cool I might add it for like a mind palace or concept design or somethin.

It was a great dream. They got along with them for the most part then the conversation popped up on about 'doctor what?', 'What you mean assistants' 'howd you meet (my name)?' 'Traveling? We can barely get her out of the front door!' and I was sweatin but Sarah explained it better than Doc could without raising anymore questions like 'whats a Dalek?' .

And it kinda did! Somehow in that same bigger on the inside house. Ive lost my slippers! Again! Even in my dreams I lose them to some bottom nook of a sofa never to be seen again! It was early morning and we had to go.

I DONT KNOW WHY? IT WAS SO EMBARASSING! But funny. My cousins teased me that I look like a monkey in his arms. Im offended. Im 5 foot asian woman I know we look ridiculous but monkey?! The elders said we look like his child, My mom didnt like it one bit. Bruhh. The glare she gave me was so realistic. It was a nightmare.

The man dared to take amusement of my misery. The git. He dropped me when mom looks like she's gonna hit him. Never safe with mothers.

My mom has always been my spokeperson. And not in a bad way, she's my support when I struggle with phone calls or doctor's appointments. Ironic. So this wasnt anything new.

I suppose it was neccesary for full immersion but ahhhhh! I hate having such realistically vivid dreams, paired with my hyper imagination, its a rollercoaster of emotions!

They talked about our adventures and what not. Odd things I do that they noticed or to look out for. If im taking care of myself. My mother worries if It gets too much for me and them (she gets like this when talking with my friends irl. Lmao)

Then they grew silent as they watch me run around the crowd of relatives, barefoot (idk why I cant find my shoes!)

"Is she safe with you?" She asked him suddenly. Admittedly he was dreading that question because what is safe when you travel with the doctor? (Lets face it. most of us are gonna be shit companions. I know id be useless with the running! And the fact that my brain even dared make me one. Ha!) "I know she can be a handful and I can never fully understand the life youre draggin her into but.. please promise me that you'll look after her."

"I promise to always look out for her. And for what its worth, I take this duty of care quite.. seriously."

"She was so small.. she have always been compared to anyone" I heard her say to him. "And she would look at trees and the sky with such a far away look that youd see she's not with you anymore but lost in her mind."

This is where I came back dressed and shoed up. I got scolded for not wearing my good clothes and all that mom stuff. But after that and lots of food to go, me, sarah and the doctor got in the tardis and went off to another adventure!

My alarm went off tho before anything else happened. I cant really remember much of the wackier stuff that happened but yeah. The moment i woke up from it I decided Im gonna post this here to be part of my dream journal im making. Or a reference for a one shot idk.

It was odd but delightful that it was the Fourth Doctor when I have only seen clips and compilations of him. It made me want to watch his era.

Fire and blood (the fanfic) Chapter 18: Reuinon

CONCEPT: You were once aegons and aemonds fuckbuddy, learned of their rebellion, your father got murdered, you tried to run away and they caged you among many other horrendous things and now after two weeks of surviving aemond you finally see your beloved aegon again.

WARNINGS: 18+ SMUT, SADISM, DARK AEMOND, WAR CRIMES, OTHER UNHOLY THINGS. SHARING, DARK SMUT, KINKS

You manage to cover yourself with the sheet. You crawl away from him as far as possible with the chain. You look around for guards to protect you but Aemond had dismissed them all in a jealous temptrum.

Aegon stares at you in disbelieve. "M-my King." You bow your head.

Aegons response is very brief but the way that he speaks reminds you just how much you longed for his voice. "What did he do to you?" He whispers. You remain on the bed, still wearing your collar with the big shiny diamond sapphire attached to it.

You fiddle with your hands and nervously avoid Aegon. "My king, you should not be here without his permission. He does not like me even breathing near other men." You think of the guard that Aemond had removed because he was breathing too much in your direction.

You think of the other servant that fed you water without his approval. They never found his body after Aemond threw him down the redkeep.

Aegon scoffs before opening the door of your cage easily. Aemond keeps the key inside. He knows you won't dare to set foot outside your cage without his permission. There has not been a day yet that your ankle or feet were not bound. He does not trust you. "It is good that we made an agreement, then." He spats as if he is angry with you. Perhaps he is. He thinks that you ran off on your own. Not that they kidnapped you.

You tear up by the thought of having to touch Aegon again. "Don't, please. It is too painful. I can stand being his little pet. But I will perish if you are to touch me when your heart no longer yearns for me." You whine like a little girl.

He finally understands. You do not, however. "Who the fuck told you that?" And just like that you understand now too.

Aemond lied. Aegon does not hate you. Yet why has Aegon not come looking for you?

A proud voice rings out from behind Aegon. "I did." Your hairs stand up, and you gulp so hard that Aegon hears it. He steps closer to you to protect you if need be. But you push him away from you. Aemond is dangerous.

Aemond walks past the king to you before unchaining your ankle. He snaps his fingers and points to the space for his feet. "Pet, don't you usually bow for your prince?" He asks his voice a mere taunting symphony.

You obey bowing down until you can kiss the ground. You mutter your practised response. "Good evening, my love, my beloved and my only one. How was your time away from me?" You ask.

Aegon's brows become nearly one as he watches with worry and disgust. "What the fuck is happening?"

Aemond shrugs carelessly and rubs your head. "I did what you couldn't. I tamed that bitch." To you he barks something as well. "Get your pretty green gown and put it on for me. I like you to look pretty and proper when you suck me off." You obey putting it on.

The Kinslayer smirks when you slowly kneel for him and wait for him to sit down. "She is so obedient these days. I bet I can make her do all sorts of wicked things." You turn off your emotions for now.

He stares briefly at your breasts before sitting down in the chair. You slither over and climb on top of him, kissing his lips before moving to his throat to his chest. You remove his shirt and his vest for him and undo his pins. Your breath catches in your throat. Your knees are parted. He forces you on his knees and fucks you with it. You cry in pleasure and mutter that you love him. "But, I disgress. You are here to see me, my King?" He does not bother to give you his full attention. He places you with your back to his front and sits you down as if you are his toy. He opens the front of your dress carefully, unlacing it so more and more of your breasts can be seen.

Aegon growls, fighting his desires to keep from glancing at your breasts. "You know I am no longer interested in her. I try to be faithful to my wife. To my queen." He says.

Your heart shatters. You barely understand where this change of heart comes from, but it hurts you. Helaena has his child inside her, and you must accept that you are now and never enough. "Such a pity..." Aemonds voice is full of fake sympathy. You wish he would stop taunting you.

You are worried about where this exchange will lead. He whispers in your ear when rubbing your entrance. "What do you think, my little pet? Do you miss your former master?" You think back of all the times Aegon fucked you and it certainly excited things. You liked being fucked by both. You enjoy both, and you might even love both.

Yet you know and have seen how dangerous Aemond has become these last days. Admitting that you want Aegon as well when Aegon no longer protects you or loves you...

That is a suicide mission. You rub yourself against Aemond and kiss his lips faithfully. You bite on his lips and suck off the blood. He groans in pleasure. "You are my only one, my true love and all that I desire." You say even though it is a lie.

Sadly for you... You are not a good liar. Never have been. Never will be.

Aemond pushes you to stand and walks you to your bed. You are tossed on it, and your gown is pulled up exposing your naked entrance. "Would you like it if we were to share you, like the good old days?" He whispers when rubbing your entrance.

You would. Just one last time to get it out of your heart and mind and to let it all go. One last time before you will plan your escape. You either escape...

Or you'll die. "Share me?" You whisper, as familair tingles arise in your belly and wetness cloaks your legs. You like that idea.

Aegon scoffs at you and at Aemond. Yet he watches as you moan, pleasing both of them. "I am loyal to my queen." You do not say anything. Aemond is also wisely quiet. You both know that he is not loyal to his queen.

Aemond laughs. "I tell you what; You are allowed back as her co-owner." You do not have a say on this by the sound of it.

You slowly sit up. "What of my consent?" You ask.

Aemond kisses your throat and bites down on it as if he wants to hurt you for speaking out of turn. "Your consent can go fuck itself the way we will fuck you..." He leans over you. You cower with excitement. He smacks your wet entrance as you cry out. "You insolent dirty minded whore." He grits out between smacks. "Look, pure wetness. That girl is ready for her king. Do you want to deny her that pleasure, Aegon? I know my pet. She needs more than one cock to serve. Two can only satisfy her needs." He tries to rile Aegon up.

It works partly. Aegon is now doubting if he should do this. Aemond shows off your wetness once more easing in a finger with a powerful thrust. "Nhn..." You moan.

Aemond cleans his finger on your dress before walking to his brother. He grabs Aegon by his shoulders. "You own that whore. She ran away to Dragonstone. Let's show her what happens to girls who disobey." He grins.

You did not run away. You understand that you must try to convince them to believe that. "I was kidnapped."

Aegon's smile has faded. You wait for him to start speaking once more. To tell Aemond off and to sent the message that he will not touch you again. Instead of that, he keeps looking at you. "Aegon?" You weakly mutter.

He grins at you. "Shut up, pet." That nickname hurts you more than any insult he could have given you.

Aemond respectfully lets go of you, making sure that the king can touch you if he wishes so. "She is yours, my King." He says as if he is a faithful servant presenting his king a gift.

That was all he needed to hear. He takes his clothes off and crawls on top of you, choking you lightly when taking you. It feels good to have him back inside of you, and you wish he could stay there forever. You wrap your arms around his neck lovingly and mutter his name against his lips. You are kissed, touched, and loved. Your body yearned for it, your heart cried for it, and your soul died for it. You can't believe it is finally happening again. You missed the touch of his short hair when you ran your fingers through it. You missed the smell of wine on his breath, and you missed the way his enchanting blue eyes look at you as if you are his whole world. You missed feeling his heartbeat and hearing his breath. You missed him in every possible meaning and every possible way.

Aemond keeps glaring at you two, though he seems mostly amused and glad that Aegon broke his vow to remain loyal to their sister. Aegon gently pulls your hair, calling for your attention. His lips leave a desirable trail of little kisses on the side of your neck before he moves down to your breasts, to your belly, to your legs, and finally before he disappears between your wet legs. His tongue softly licks over the wet smooth entrance, and you can hear him taste your spoils.

Your hands take hold of a shoulder and a handful of his hair. You brace yourself. He starts to suck and your core is set alight. You notice the subtle glare that Aemond gives Aegon when he uses his own nickname for you. You fake a smile and try to tell the truth. You were stolen. ''I was stolen. I never wanted to leave. Well, perhaps I did. But never to Dragonstone. I know how dangerous the Blacks are." You hope that they do buy this lie. You do not hate nor love the Blacks. You were perhaps close with the children, but war changes perspectives. You must do what you can to make sure your house survives. You see that now.

Aegons hands caress your face before you are kissed on your lips. "You are adorable when you lie. Aemond, I assume you have something in this room that can cause our little bee quite the displeasure?" Your folds are rubbed, and your mouth is covered with Aegons hand when you speak.

You know that Aemond is a rough man to please. Aemond loves inflicting pain. Perhaps Aegon as well, but Aegon is kind and makes sure there is pleasure and gentleness. Aemond does not care. Aegon makes love to you. Aemond fucks you.

Aegon loves you. Aemond is obsessed with you. "I have a few things." The way the Kinslayer speaks tells you all you need to know.

I read a blog you posted last year where you mentioned you hate 'fix-it' fics, or 'Fix Fics,' as TV Tropes likes to call them.

I haven't read many 'fix-fics' myself, but I've personally had mixed thoughts on the concept. On one hand, if I personally was frustrated by the way a certain story was told, it could be cathartic (in an admittedly selfish way) to see it retold.

But the choice word 'fix' can carry an underlying (or overlying) sense of arrogance. As if the writer is saying to the creator 'what you made is wrong, so I shall make it right.' I guess it depends on the motive for writing; you said all 'fix-fics' come from a place of anger, but I don't think that's necessarily true.

They could sometimes come from a viewer that loves the work they're critiquing, and just...genuinely wants to explore by themselves what it would be like if this or that thing was handled differently. Or from someone who wants to dabble with an existing work so they can build up the confidence to write their own stories.

Perhaps the key is whether or not the writer is using the term 'fix-it' to describe their stories. If that's the case, then maybe it does come from a place of anger, more than anything. But I would like to hear your own thoughts on why you hate 'fix-fics.'

So I think I saw you probably like a blog of mine about why I wouldn't ever rewrite TOH where I brought this up and honestly, from your post in general, I'd say I probably worded it wrong or too strongly. You are correct after all on a LOT of accounts here. The one I really want to highlight is the confidence ones as suddenly you're putting proof to your theory that your version would be better. That can absolutely be helpful for building confidence.

I have two sides of which I should have clarified.

1: I don't approve of LONG fix it fics. Fixing an episode or a chapter of something is one thing. Writing out how to fix an entire series though? It's unfair as far as fixing something goes because you already know all the elements you like in a story, haven't had to experiment with it at all or come up with major plot points on the fly (I feel like I've gotten worse about potentially insinuating that I could have done X better with the suggestions I put out. Creation is always harder than critique after all.) etc. like that. It also just takes a LONG. FUCKING. TIME. And for what purpose? An idea that will only ever be half yours? Which brings me to

2: I don't want to ever do fix it fics, let alone long ones. As an original writer, I would rather take the elements I like from something I find flawed on pull on those threads in a more productive, more challenging environment. To actually make the idea my own rather than constantly having to still constrain myself to parts of something I find so flawed as to consider it in need of an entire rewrite.

I think this is also why I just don't approve of them in general. I would rather that spite, especially if it is on the scale of an entire series rewrite, be channeled into something simply more useful. A fanfic that's redoing large swaths of a work just isn't something that too many are going to need and is honestly going to limit your creativity rather than expand it. That's how I see it at least.

I did probably screw up in the original blog though and not make it clear that when I say I hate writing fix it fics, it's very much so "I don't like WRITING fix it fics." I don't like carrying that sort of rage into a work, especially long term. That's actually an issue for Rich Witch at this point as celebration of TOH made me see threads that had been left fallow by rushing a bit in Amity's arc in S1 (that's how I saw it at the time at least) and that I could expand upon with a perspective shift over to focusing on Amity as the main character. Now that TOH holds so much anger for me, the elements that once inspired it now cause darker feelings and, well... There's a lot of complicated reasons why I'm really afraid Rich Witch is simply dead.

*sigh*

I think, for me, anger and spite are more powerful for blogs like these. Those elements can inspire me but the idea they make has to have joy in it or I just don't find that I commonly get hooked on it. Not when anger is such a short term fuel, at least for me. If it works better for others though, more power to you.

Okay I talked about Ashley from my childhood fanfic, but the real star of the show was Myra, and she was a good concept I promise

So, Ashley was Aaron's kid right? And Ashley and Myra were adopted sisters right? And Aaron and Zane killed each other? Yeah Myra was fucking Zane's kid

Actually this was MUCH more possible than Ashley being Aaron's, cause we don't know how old exactly Zane is, and we don't see too terribly much of his personal life, and it's entirely possible he had a kid. Both Ashley and Myra were introduced post Irene dimension obviously, so they could be grown ups and cause problems.

Now when I originally wrote this, I kept retconning things like Myra's opinions on people, dynamics with people, and childhood, so it was just a fucking mess. BUT one thing that was always true was her romance with Levin (come on Zane and Aphmau's kids dating is so funny neither parent would approve).

If I were to rewrite Myra now, I know exactly what I'd with her. Keep the Levin thing, and add Aphmau disliking Myra to it. I think Aphmau is suspicious of her, especially given what a bitch Ashley is. Aphmau HATES they Levin clearly has a thing for her. Myra actually doesn't have an issue with Aphmau, but understands Aphmau's reservations about her. Especially since now I'd make Myra noticably a Ro'Meave. Not to everyone obvi, but most definitely to Garroth, she looks just like his mother. And it throws him off, but I'd have him get along with Myra, sort of the stand in dad seeing as to how... well Zane's kinda gone now.

Although I really love the idea of Zane legitimately caring about Myra, like yeah he's evil as fuck still but that's his daughter so you best stay away. It also gives Myra some inner turmoil cause she knows her dad was terrible and hurt people in every terrible way you could, and hell took her bf's mom from him for 15 years, but he was still her dad. And he still loved her. So she doesn't know how to feel about him, luckily he's dead tho so she'll never have to worry about- uh oh shadow knight Zane

Wanted to see the rest of twitter's opinion on cap's fic....That was a mistake, lol. (Half of the search result was on Roman & Chinese mythos, so it wasn't TOO bad). There is one tweet that caught my eye: "I didn't like Ingrid much before reading tEatG, but now she's my fav! I was worried that I was substituting the canon character for the fanfic version, but really, it just makes me see them in a different light." So for those who think that Cap's fic (and fanon like it) don't affect the fandom, there ya go. Also, saw a couple fanart of Ingrid in Imperial uniform, and red is NOT her color.

Like of all the fics you'd think would get the big ol' Stamp of Disapproval, it'd be the one with, uh, all of this in it. No joke, I've seen that Savior King fic that nonnies keep recommending me lmao be called racist because apparently something about the way Dimitri likes Claude is No Good (been a while so can't remember why lmao).

And like, there's the thing right. It's not that fanon works shouldn't ever influence anyone's opinions on anything - different interpretations of things exist, and some interpretations are going to be more or less like other interpretations.

Like, for an extremely low-stakes example: out of his three total disliked foods on the menu, two of Claude's are sweets - of which there are only really four options to choose from anyway. Some take that to mean he doesn't much like sweets, while others say he just doesn't happen to like those sweets, while other don't give a shit about the menu (most people), etc. etc.. And sometimes, reading someone's interpretation of this will sway an opinion to agree with them on this tiny detail. Expand that concept outwards, and you get the general idea.

Now, the problems start coming in when the interpretations doing the swaying are inherently incorrect - it's not a matter of opinion, but simple objective fact. It's not "I think Claude doesn't like sweets that much," and more "Claude actively hates all sweets" - or, going along with some of the more extreme examples of the fic, "Claude has an omega sweet tooth on par with Lysithea."

These are wrong - period, end sentence, post tweet. This isn't different interpretations, this is someone being wrong. Expand that concept outwards, and... well, you get TEatG as a whole, with Ingrid in particular being a startlingly and almost randomly potent example of that very thing happening. It's not "I think Ingrid's father is conflicted about her fighting even with him ultimately agreeing to let her do so," it's "Ingrid's father hates the idea of Ingrid doing anything remotely unfeminine and would never approve of her discarding her role as a wife." It's not "I think Ingrid could have felt a potential Only Girl In The Room feeling with her friends but was still ultimately extremely close with them," it's "Ingrid actually never felt close to any of her friends because they paired off with each other as BEST friends which meant she was left completely alone all the time even before Glenn's death." Things about her as an overall character - whether details surrounding her or Ingrid's character itself - are so often just completely incorrect.

And this isn't even mentioning that Ingrid has a very big, very noticeable flaw that is almost completely erased, that being her hatred of the people of Duscur. It's been nearly completely whitewashed out of her character, with her canonical depth only ever being expressed after she supposedly grew out of it and only ever as something she regretted harboring. That is to say, not once is it ever actually shown; the closest the fic gets is her being slightly uncomfortable around a single Duscur child, before she immediately gets over it two sentences later. Not even really exaggerating.

And erasing that gets rid of Ingrid having unflattering flaws, the kind that can't be cutesy'd up or woobified. That on top of any nuance surrounding her father also being turned into "Ingrid is completely in the right and her father is Objectively Evil" makes Ingrid an incredibly flat, uninteresting character with no real flaws for her to grow out of. She doesn't have any underlining, misplaced hatred that she needs to overcome: just have her play with a lil' kid, that'll fix 'er up in no time. She doesn't have to confront the possibility that she had a hand in her strained relationship with her father by never trusting him to hear her out: her dad is just Bad Man, and she is just a victim of Bad Man.

And this isn't even getting into arguably the most worrying thing about Ficgrid: her consistent tendency to beat up men who make her upset. It's not "Ingrid hit Sylvain - a childhood friend of hers - for making an extremely inappropriate joke during a serious time," it's "If any man makes Ingrid mad she will assault him, sometimes quite violently at that." A flaw that is not just never addressed as a flaw, but a flaw that is propped up as something good for her character to have. It's not a flaw, it's an asset. Again, completely inaccurate to her character.

Add all of these misinterpretations together - a completely wooden character whose only real notable character flaw is treated like a good thing - and you have an interpretation of the character that should not be the basis for other people's interpretations. This isn't an Ingrid made up of interpretations that are grounded by canon, this is the result of extremely warped misreadings - or sometimes even blatant inconsistencies - forming together to create a character that is only "Ingrid" in the most superficial and shallow ways possible. Take that and apply that to the overwhelming majority of the characters, and you have TEatG

alright, so i went through the ama with wan hazmer and daim dziauddian on twitch and picked out every little tidbit i could about the megastars bc i knew you guys would want to know. this is a long post and i’m on mobile atm so i can’t put it under a read more — sorry about that! bosses are in chronological order, starting with DJSS and ending with Eve!

DJ SUBATOMIC SUPERNOVA

- djss took the least amount of time to develop out of all the bosses (haz says his fight took about half a year.)

- daim purposely tried to make djss' name as long as he could. he was specifically looking at negasonic teenage warhead from deadpool for inspiration.

- haz and daim do have the briefing/kliffnotes for djss. they discussed sharing them at some point, but idk when that would happen.

- related to the above, daim says that dj is in his mid thirties. EDIT: his kliffnotes were shared on twitter and they say he’s 41. daim must have goofed haha

- when asked if djss actually has a face and how he eats, daim compares it to kenny from south park and how you never see his face. he thinks dj does have a face in there, but that we just never see it. as for the “how does he eat” part, daim says that sometimes they don’t have to show everything.

- daim is a djneon/neonnova shipper, and it’s one his favourite pairings alongside zuke/mayday.

- daim said that uncle ali basically instantly landed the role as djss. he was that good.

SAYU

- sayu was obviously inspired by hatsune miku and other vocaloids, but haz brings up one particular commercial involving miku and google chrome, which involves a bunch of people collborating on songs and concept art for miku, similar to how sayu started as a collab between remi and tila in-universe.

- someone asked about the models for sayu's crew's apartments. there wasn't much on that, but haz mentions that one of his favourite nsr fanfics (yes, he reads them) is "Road to Redemption," and there's a scene that takes place in a studio where the crew works on sayu, and he really likes that.

- the devs wanted sayu's name to sound both malay and japanese at the same time (as well as a nod to miku). haz says it means “warm water” in japanese.

- akusuka is a direct copy of akihabara in terms of locale.

- sayu’s shellfish commercial is a homage to a real snack in malaysia named mamee monster, which is hugely popular with kids. the format of the commercial itself was inspired by a pocky commercial that featured hatsune miku.

YINU

- her game design (for her boss fight) was partially done in ms paint by music director falk (who made the base version of her boss theme)

- yinu's mom doesn't have a name. she's just mother/mama.

- haz confirmed that yinu's father is, in fact, dead.

- daim thought yinu’s name was a nod to yuna (a popular malaysian artist). it’s not.

- natura is daim’s favourite district. he likes how calm it is compared to the others.

- daim said that they wanted a hint of hope in all three of yinu’s backstory photographs, to show that no matter how bad your life gets, there’s always that glimmer of hope and that good things can still happen.

1010

- the members of 1010 do not have any official names.

- the assets for the autographs were made by the artists at one of the partner companies working with metronomik on nsr. haz and daim didn't really have anything to do with making them, and while daim did approve them for the final game, he was sorta skimming through a bunch of assets along with the autographs, and he didn't realize what they really were at the time until later. haz is impressed with how the fans managed to decipher them.

- 1010's fight was purposefully put between yinu's and eve's as a break from the emotional stuff.

- michael jackson was used as a reference for 1010's animations/moves.

- the Bio Tactical Shield that you get for zuke after beating 1010 is a reference to BTS.

- tangibly related, but the collectable figurines are supposed to serve more as a backstory to vinyl city as a whole, rather than 1010 or neon j. daim describes the figures as what events were going on and what people were doing before the events of nsr.

- 1010’s appearance from older trailers (where they all looked the same) were actually placeholders. 1010’s actual designs weren’t finished yet when those trailers were released.

- parts of 1010’s designs (for their bodies/outfits) were inspired by tron uprising, a project that daim worked on.

- somebody asked why 1010 and neon j have sculpted butt plates. daim and haz have no idea, but daim suggested that ellie (who designed 1010) and jan (who did their character models) put them there to up the “sexy robot” factor.

- daim’s favourite member of 1010 is purl-hew/blue, and haz’s favourite is eloni/green.

- the members of 1010 were designed based on popular tropes in boy bands. rin/white is “the main guy,” zimelu/red is the “bad boy,” purl-hew/blue is the “cool guy,” haym/yellow is the “young/innocent one,” and eloni/green is the “weird/funny one.”

- eloni/green not getting fan mail was based on how the “funny guy” of kpop bands/idol groups don’t seem to get as much attention as the rest of the group.

NEON J

- haz and daim didn't expect neon j to become so popular. haz joked about blaming it on ddaddystar, who did that doodle of djss and neon j from the credits.

- when asked about neon j’s age, daim said he’s definitely older than djss, and that he could be in his forties.

- related to the age thing, someone in chat said he should be older if he went to war in the sixties. haz replied by saying they never mentioned what year the game takes place in, so it doesn’t necessarily take place in the present/2020.

- a lot of people asked about the border wars, and daim and haz said they like leaving the bulk of it up to fan interpretation.

- daim said that neon j’s organs were preserved in a robotic shell after the war, and that’s why he’s considered a cyborg.

- as stated above, daim is a djneon/neonnova shipper, and it’s one his favourite pairings alongside zuke/mayday.

- neon j’s monologue was slightly longer, but it was cut down because zul (neon j’s va) didn’t do very many takes for the monologue, and the takes he did do didn’t have the comedic punch that daim was looking for, so it got shortened.

- the singing parts of neon j’s lines were ad-libbed by zul in his audition, and daim liked it so much that it stayed for the final game.

- neon j’s monologue had to be altered in the japanese dub so that the jokes/comedy would make more sense.

EVE

- the color changing paintings from her boss fight were created by accident.

- eve was put as the last boss because of how emotional her relationship with zuke was and how complicated and intricate she is as a whole compared to the rest of the bosses.

- daim considers eve to be the "final boss" for zuke, while tatiana is the final boss for mayday.

- eve took the longest to develop out of all the bosses. she was orignally a lot more complicated, and daim said they had to "filter" a lot of things about her in order to tone her down and fit her into the game.

- eve was almost scrapped from the game. daim said her concept as an eccentric artist wasn't as well known as the other four bosses’ concepts, and combine that with how long it took to finalize her... yeah.

- none of the artists have set in stone heights because of how the gameplay works, but eve is the tallest one. the closest scene in the game that has them at their actual heights is the ending.

- her name was originally eva, but it was changed bc there’s already a popular artist with the same name.

- daim explains that a big part of eve’s concept and theme is her embracing herself. he uses the example of eve’s backstory where she starts out hating herself and trying to cover the pink half of her face, but then starts doing less of that overtime. he also mentions that all the body parts (hands, arms, legs, etc.) from her fight also come from her embracing her body and using it in her artwork.

- dream fever is haz’s favourite district.

- daim didn’t originally think of zuke and eve as being an actual couple until later down the line when the story heavily implied it.

- eve’s younger designs were done by lzbros, who did all the 2d animation for the game.
