A new thought won't leave me alone

Soap constantly throwing himself at mission after mission after mission with little breaks, looking obviously tired and at his limit but persisting anyways and not voicing a single complaint. Ghost watching it happen, and getting increasingly more anxious as he's on fewer missions with Soap and is stuck to just keep watching him leave tired and come back even more exhausted only to leave again.

Finally Ghost catches Soap before he's setting off AGAIN and he just. He physically blocks soap from leaving. Hand to his shoulder pushing him back when he tries to leave through the door. Soap snaping out a frustrated "What the hell is your problem?" And ghost only responding with a simple. "Don't do this."

Soap is stunned into silences, his frustration melting away from the surprise. Him tentatively asking "don't do what?" And ghost's voice holding so much ache and sincerity of his concern as he says "don't keep pushing like this. I keep watching you leave looking like shit and you just keep come back looking even worse. One of these times you're not going to be coming back Johnny. So don't. Don't do this."
