Fire Emblem Fates: Agere Leo Headcanons !!

♕ His little age is around 2-6, though he mostly stays around 3 or 4.

♛ He’s a crier. Sleepy? Cries. Lonely? Cries. Bored? Cries. He can be a very clingy kiddo when he wants to.

♕ Ironically, he’s also the independent type. If you place him in a enclosed space with books and toys that jingle he can stay put for hours.

♛ He claims he can read by himself… But being honest, his baby intellect can best handle those cardboard books. (Especially the touch and feel and the look for the hidden object ones-)

♕ Doesn’t actually like physical touch. Camilla found out about his regression when he started tearing up and pushing her away after she tried to give him a hug.

♛ However, he actually loves being picked up, put on swings, sitting on his carer’s lap. He gets overstimulated with a lot of pressure, though, so hugs aren’t preferred by him. 

♕ Elise wants to be his main caregiver SO BAD. But that role goes to Odin and Niles (mainly Niles), who treat the baby prince like they’re narrators of a story book. Needless to say, Leo loves it.

♛ Odin takes care of the stimulation: playing, reading, his personality makes the most interesting voices for characters. Niles prefers handling the more domestic duties: cleaning, bathing, cooking, Prince Leo doesn’t deserve any less than the best, after all. 

♕ He still likes tomatoes. And by like, I mean that he still adores them. Once he snuck out regressed at night and ate 2 and a half tomatoes before he was caught by Laslow and Peri. (Xander scolded Peri for bouncing Leo and keeping him awake. She loves baby princey)

♛ He’s actually pretty intimidated by the horses, so he never usually goes by the stables. The few times he gets close to a horse is when they’re brought out for training or feeding. He brings his crayons and sketchbook whenever Elise takes her horsie for a ride.

♕ In the Birthright route, Leo finds himself regressed often, even when he tries to suppress it. Sometimes he simply collapses with stress, so Odin and Niles have kept little gear in the places Leo spends his time most. 

♛ He cries a lot about his big brother and younger sister, he has nightmares where he acts like a witness. He wakes up in a cold sweat, and Camilla comes over due to his cries and screams. He often breaks down in her embrace, crying out for Big Brother and Sissy.

♕ In the Conquest route, Corrin is added to the close circle of his regression. Corrin was surprised at first (Leo didn’t fully express his regression until Corrin decided to side with them) but then fell completely in love with their babier brother! How could they not?

♛ In the Revelations route, Takumi and Leo grow more close. They still act cold and rival against each other when they’re big, but if anyone can understand Little Leo’s behaviors, it’s Takumi.

♕ Corrin makes a lot of play dates between both princes. (Leo will never admit that he genuinely likes them)

♛ He’s still quiet, as in, he doesn’t even babble. He responds in humming or with body language, other than that, he stays silent. 

♕ 1000% a tether kid. He had a bad habit of biting others as a kid and thus likes to bite things while regressed. He has his own chewable paci and he uses it a l o t .

♛ When asked about how he’s feeling, if he says “I dont wanna talk about it”, then it’s because he’s regressing. It’s become like a code for his family and retainers. 

♕ Of course, he isn’t public about this, but his family all know. Xander especially loves spending time with his baby brother, even if he has no flipping clue of what he’s doing half the time.

as you already know, velvox is the established relationship in this au. and as i believe i mentioned before, velvette and val are sinstagram mutuals, it's how val finds out about the hotel. on val's part, falling for velvette isn't really a surprise to him - back when they just knew each other through social media, he already found her attractive, admired her work and they got along well, so all that turning into a full-on crush when he gets to know her better isn't very shocking. his relationship with vox is where it gets interesting, because it starts out rocky. i mentioned before that vox can tell that val's putting on an act. but because vox obv can't relate to val's situation, val just sees it as vox pitying him and refuses his help. a turning point comes in ep 4 - in the swap au, it actually starts raining during loser baby, which results in val getting sick. vox helps him out and they have a tender moment, maybe a little heart-to-heart (its hard to just describe, i will make a comic/ficlet of it at one point so you'll see :3). their relationship starts getting better from that point on, and soon enough val finds himself falling for vox. (it's funny, really - ep 4 in the swap au leads to the bettering of a grand total of 3 relationships: al & val's, vox & val's and indirectly al & vox's. load bearing episode LOL) on vox and velvette's part, well. val is a douche at the start of the story, much like canon!angel, but vox and velvette can both tell that there's a heart of gold in there somewhere. vox because of the aformentioned seeing through val's facade, and velvette because she, in fact, wasn't mutuals with val's official account, but with his art account, where he keeps his identity hidden. he shows his softer side a lot more on there, and so that's mainly the side of him that velvette knew (so now imagine the whiplash when she actually meets him in person and he's an obnoxious jerk LOL) (i dont know if valentino being an artist is actually canon - i read it on the fandom wiki and fandom wikis cant rly be trusted LOL but in any case if its not canon then its a neat hc that i incorporated into swap!val's character) but anyway yeah, vox and velvette both start falling for val as he slowly becomes more true to himself and starts showing that soft side more. eventually the two of them talk about it um. somewhere around ep 6 i think? maybe? somewhere between eps 6 and 7? something like that. anyway. there we get some juicy conflict - they agree that theyre both in love with val and wanna give the whole polyamory thing a try if he's up for it, but while velvette wants to confess as soon as possible (she's scared that one of them might die in the battle), vox wants to wait until after the battle, because the stress levels are high in the hotel right now, and he doesn't want val to feel pressured. during the last night before the battle, in a scene vaguely equivalent to more than anything (reprise), they make up, velvette admits that vox is right, and they decide to confess to val after the extermination. and then yeah they do that (it's one of the 2 things that i'm sure i want to happen at the beginning of season 2), val is like "HELL YEAH I WANNA BE IN A POLYCULE WITH YOU GUYS" and they're a polycule and its awesome :3

favourite thing about them

His whole character and character arc, honestly, particularly how he slowly becomes disillusioned over the course of the series and qualities that were there in the beginning like his latent suicidality and disregard for his body become more and more extreme the longer he works as a sorcerer. But if we're talking about something specific, I like how at first glance he seems like the typical happy-go-lucky shonen protagonist, but how this is often an act or a way to distract himself from pain. In reality he's quite the loner and tends to isolate himself from people. He'll easily make friends with other or get along with strangers, but he rarely lets people in and see his vulnerable side or opens up about his problems to them.

least favourite thing about them

Nothing really. Although I don't like how distanced he is from the whole Kenjaku being his mother thing. It makes sense for him to act this way, it's a defence mechanism and he's like this with all his extended family, but I wish he was challenged on this more. Or at all.

Mostly Nobara, but I've also been really enjoying seeing him fight next to Maki and I like how their skills compliment each other. They're the only one besides Angel who can seriously hurt Sukuna. I also really like his relationship with Higuruma, the guilt they are struggling with and how they are both supporting each other in their death wish, despite not actually wanting the other to die. Although I don't know if I'd call that a "brOTP".

Once again, I don't really ship Yuuji with anyone, much less have a ship I'm really invested in (in contrast to you haha). I like him and Junpei when their taste in horror and being kind of outsiders is highlighted and I also like him and Todo in the sense of "bros who sometimes give each other a handjob to let off steam".

Not really a hc, but I think he started joining sociable clubs and trying to find friends in highschool because he knew his grandpa would die soon and he realized he needed people around him when that happens.

He's not a soft, whiny sunshine boy. He's nice, he loves his friends, he believes that almost everyone deserves being saved, but people sometimes tend to really infantilize him, especially in fanfics, so that he's barely recognizable. He already had a death stare in middle school and was notorious for beating up people/bullies. He's not gonna break down and cry because someone is being mean to him.

Hirasawa Susumu - Royal Road Paradise. It's about a king overlooking his fallen country and wondering why the people around him are burning and suffering. He can't remember anymore what started all this. Especially after the recent chapter it seems very fitting and captures for me the spirit of jjk as a whole.

Boy...where to begin. I love that they are a mad scientist, but they don't take themselves too seriously and don't fall into the common trap of being unaware of their own weaknesses. I like that they are at the core actually pretty chill. It's why they were able to stay unnoticed for such a long time (besides the body-hopping of course). Like they don't stand out like someone like Sukuna, Mahito or even Uraume if they don't want to because they just don't make that kind of ruckus. That leads to them being often overlooked or not taken as seriously, even by the protagonists. They also have pretty normal hobbies if we ignore the whole cursed energy manipualtion, merging of people etc. That's what's so great about it. They'll do the most abhorrent shit, but also do such basic things as watching stand-up comedy or reading manga. They have a fucking favourite comedian! And are apparently deep in the manzai lore. It's so ridiculous, I love it. Kenjaku is what keeps this series fresh and unpredictable, they sow chaos wherever they go. Miss them.

least favourite thing about them

Died too early and more importantly didn't get to meet Yuuji again. Don't think there's anything else I don't like...maybe that they died in Geto's body. I would've liked to see them change bodies at least once. Otherwise what's the point of having a bodysnatcher character if they're 99% of the time in the same body (in the story, obviously Kenjaku has swapped bodies many times before, but we barely see any of it).

Uraume. I just love their dynamic so much. They manage to bring the most annoying side out of Kenjaku and Kenjaku is a master at making them lose their cool (literally lol). The bickering is fantastic, I wish we would've gotten more of it. Maybe in the Heian flashback. I like how they like to complain, but then more or less reluctantly help each other out. Like Kenjaku bothering to take Uraume to Sukuna in their fishmobile while still being beaten up from the fight against Yuki.

Miyamura Yuko's cover of Hirasawa Susumu's MOTHER Think the title makes the connection obvious. Could refer both to Kenjaku as a mother and their general perception of motherhood. The incorporation of dreams, connecting to the universe and passage of time make it especially fitting. The "oh mother" chorus is also especially haunting in this version.

my thoughts on jangbros' childhood really depends on my mood 🙈 you're right that the show did them no justice at all - and a part of me is disappointed that two integral characters were left so underdeveloped; another part of me is actually delighted that that's the case since that means my ass can just jump in and fill the gaps as i please hehe MY canon now.

personally, i like to play around a lot with how they met, when they met, and how that would affect their dynamic/relationship. this is something you'd get to see in my next fics which, hopefully will be finished soon - i won't spoil anything now hehe 😉

if you want to stick close to canon, though. i like that they first met on a hunting trip. han seok said the gun scared him, which is most definitely a lie, though i like to think that he pretended to be scared for han seo's sake - a way to show, 'hey, we're so alike, right? you got nothing to be afraid of me for 🤓' han seo didn't know at all what was about to hit him rip. another thing that i also cling onto from canon is han seo's drug abuse. i wish they'd developed on it more than just a throwaway line and those callous reactions from cha young and vincenzo ;; i would've loved to know how he broke away from it - if he ever did at all. my personal hc is han seok's got him sober, mainly because he'd be the kind to think drug use is dirty, beneath them - ironic since he's making drugs that'd get people addicted smh - and well, how would han seo feels anything han seok does to him if he's doped out of his mind?

ahh but that's too far from their childhood now. another thing i'd love to know is the kids han seok murdered in his youth. was there another reasons beyond him not liking the look of them? my shipper brain has some ideas haha, perhaps they showed too much interest in han seo, or any interest at all. maybe han seo showed interest in them so han seok had to cut it right off at the bud, showed han seo that there could only one person han seo was allowed to look at. yandere!han seok, my beloved haha

i also like to think about han seok patching han seo up from the wounds he himself caught. them in the bathroom of their massive villa, han seo sitting on the sink and trying not to flinch at how rough hyungnim is being with his wounds. the same hands that hurt him now working to fix him up. the push and pull that han seo kept han seo coming back no matter how much han seok has hurt him. i think han seo would learn better as he grew up but still, his child's mind could only see how kind his hyungnim is being, makes him forget all the hurt.

there's also that period of time where han seok was in the US and han seo's all alone in Korea. did they keep contact? han seok has shown han seok with so little monitoring on han seo - which i thought was so bizarre considering han seo's han seok's fall guy. i like to imagine han seok as so clingy, the kind to text every day and micromanage han seo's every decision even with an ocean away from them. he had to have away to keep himself in his dongsaeng's psyche; so he wouldn't forget him. but if they didn't keep contact, then what would han seo be like during those years? would he have grown out of the abuse han seok inflicted on him? i like to think that he did - han seo grew up to be such a brat, rolling his eyes and making devil horns behind han seok's back; so maybe he just grew to be a little less afraid of han seok in those years apart than he would've had they stayed together.

This guy literally made the group chat, and then as soon everyone was added, he muted that shit immediately.

"Nope. This is too much."

Rarely talks in the chat, if at all, but occasionally the boys will see him pop in or see that he's online. Maybe sometimes he'll like something that Nick sent or respond with a thumbs up if you're super lucky.

The guys will start freaking out like; "SANS!? SANS IS HERE!"

Only for him to immediately leave again.

The boys have to DM Sans directly if they really need him to respond or see something.

He just prefers hanging out in person, is all. In person he's the life of the party. He's just nigh impossible to get ahold of.

Nick: The Planner

He actually uses the group chat for its intended purpose: planning in person get togethers and band rehearsals.

Always sending live show flyers or Event invites like "guys we have to go to this thing!" Only for his stuff to get buried under Jonas and Midas's constant spamming.

"I need to just invest in Remind for you pricks."

But because Nick is adamant their plans usually do come to fruition. It's just a matter of herding cats for him.

Jonas: Meme spammer

Exactly as the name suggests. This guy fills the group chat with every meme and Tik tok he happens to find even a little funny.

He is Nick's greatest enemy, because it's always Jonas doing the burying with his silly like jokes. It's not intentional or malicious, he is just easily distracted.

Will always be trying to start a group call so he can just vibe with his friends at all hours of the night.

He and Alphys talk the most to each other. They just yap on and on.

Constantly sending videos of new tricks he learned on the skateboard, only for Midas to tell him he looks goofy.

Midas: The Instigator

This boy liiiiives for the drama.

Anytime Jonas begins sending memes while Nick is trying to plan he'll be like "epic Jonas moment," or "imagine interrupting our supreme leader," or even better, "thank the stars we changed the subject," which never fails to get both Nick and Jonas riled up

Midas just mutes with a shitty little grin on his face as chaos ensues.

It's all in good fun. He's just a much of a hype man as he is everyone's personal menace.

Especially for Maeve.

When Jonas sends videos of him doing a cool trick, Midas does the same trick with a finger skateboard and makes a joke like "mine's way sicker."

Alphys: Chronically online / Talkative

Some say it's being chronically online, some say it's a crippling fear of being forgotten, either way she's the first to speak.

Double texts like no one's business. No one mind's though, she's just got a lot to say and she's a lot more confident online than irl. Less stuttering.

Will ask if people want to go on a convenient store run with her at 3 am. For some reason, Sans actually responds? (it's because they're both awake. The boys will read over the chats and go insane.)

Is constantly sending pictures of cute girls like "omg, should I talk to her? Should I ask if she's gay? omg"

Only for Midas to be like "why are you taking pictures of random people."

If someone begins venting to the chat she's the one to try ad offer advice and comfort before anyone else.

Maeve: The Tea Spiller

"Oh my god, I need to tell my girls!" she says about her groupchat filled with rambunctious boys and a lesbian.

The tea can range from political talk, petty school/subculture scene gossip all the way to, "Oh my stars, I just saw a squirrel steal an acorn from another squirrel! Someone call TMZ!"

She's the first to know about anything going on outside of the friend group.

But also the first to defuse gossip beginning to spread within the friend group.

"Hey, let's not talk behind Sans's back. If you have a problem, you need to go to him. Don't be a coward."

She usually calls Midas down from his gremlin hours and laugh the hardest at Jonas's memes.

All around amazing friend. Always keeps the conversation interesting. LOVE HER!

Bonus:

Frisk: Fit Check!

Sans reared his face in the group chat just to warn them that he was adding Frisk. (He only does this after having a discussion about it with Nick in dms to make sure it's okay and won't be weird)

Frisk doesn't really look at it a lot since she prefers just talking to Sans, but she does enjoy having access to everyone she considers her friends.

Uses the groupchat as a personal hype train. Will send a picture of her trying on a cool alternative outfit at the mall like "what do you guys think? Any suggestions to make it cooler?"

when yuri has particularly rough days, and just cannot seem to come down from overstimulation, monika is quick to offer some playful scribbles, just enough to get yuri to relax her muscles, to breathe deeply, to smile.

yuri never craves or yearns for tickling (like perhaps sayori does) but it gets her to relax quickly, and she knows this. so she never really gets upset or indignant at monika’s tickling (even if she does become quite bashful). in fact, she is grateful to have someone who knows how to calm her down so quickly.

not to mention, yuri rarely smiles (likely due to her consistent attempts to not get overwhelmed), let alone laughs. the way her body feels after a hearty laugh is nice, she soon realizes. it fills her with a pure happiness, not the kind that hurts, like she is used to. the giddy feeling is the best thing in the world to her and she treasures it. she is often left giggling sweetly a few minutes after being tickled because of this.

when you first decided to move away from your house to study in a university far away, your parents weren't pleased about the fact that you will have to live far away. you assured them telling that you'll call them and communicate with them whenever you found free time.

so when you started searching for dormitories to live in, you heard from your friend konan that one of her friends lives alone at her dormitory and he needs a roommate.

since you didn't have many better options, you decided to meet up with her friend, kakashi.

you rung the doorbell and waited for him to answer it. you knew konan had many guy friends, but you were sure you hadn't heard about this guy.

the door opened, so did the zipped of your pants (almost). there stood a white haired man, with a cute mole on his chin, and he had gray sweatpants and a black sweatshirt on.

he gave you a smile, and held his hand out. "i'm hatake kakashi! konan did tell me that you were gonna come over. come inside and have a look!"

his voice was so deep yet so beautiful, you could swim in that deep voice of his. you went in, and took your shoes off.

you explored the apartment and were extremely satisfied with it. after a few conclusions and rental agreements, you decided to move in within a week.

life went on like this, and one fine day, you both realised that you are falling for each other. the friday dinner outings felt more like dates whenever he brought you some flowers or one. the movie nights felt so comfortable, as if you both were something more than friends. it was something you couldn't explain, so euphoric.

one day, while yourmovie marathon weekend, you both were cuddled up against each other. as the movie ended and the credits began rolling, he asked a question. "do you think..you like anyone?" your cheeks heated up, and you nodded.

Cuphead season 1b (because I refuse to aknowledge it as season 2 Netflix is a greedy bastard towards animators) personal opinion (spoilers)

So I finally could find a way to watch the new episodes and could avoid all spoilers

And even if I did like it and did laugh and I did like some new stuff, details, lore, game references and characters (Ludwig is a bastard I love him) and made others more likable (Stickler was less annoying and feels like he god his revenge meaning he can be a little rebellious hehe)...

I must say I am disappointed and found it less good than season 1a

Too much more filler episodes that were not even fun unlike the ones from the first batch (the wood episode and the photography episode... wtf those were lame)

The photography episode btw. Both Mugman and Cuphead willing to keep humiliating Elder Kettle for fun and Elder Kettle trying to maim them a 2nd time. Why is everybody so mean spirited in that new batch !?

The Devil and the main story only happened 2 episodes one we had already seen on YouTube weeks ago

It FUCKING ENDS ON THAT ONE EPISODE AND ITS CLIFFHANGER NO MATTER HOW WE ALL KNOW THAT SCREENSHOT OF CUPHEAD WHO GOES DOWN THE ELEVATOR WHICH THUS WOULD BE FOR SEASON 1C WHAT A SCAM

Cuphead lost braincels and became more selfish and heartless and Mugman suffered more from him more than once (Cuphead ready to abandon him to Bon Bon ?! wtf ?!) he was straight up mean several times and literally cared about himself only except 2 or 3 times. Why nerfing him !?

I had more hope for Chalice since she did regret to let them to jail but nope she just comes back like nothing happened pretending not to know they were in jail (how can she NOT know since she knew that'd happen last time ?!) ; I know she will have a redemption arc and is now a better friend who helps but still

Minor criticism but I didn't see Bon Bon as an insane canibal, just a spoiled angry woman. I mean she was fun, but why that choice ?

A nitpick but I never shipped her and Briney Beard soooooooo the fact it more or less became semi canon did not thrill me (nor Cala Maria X Mugman and seeing him crush on her is both funny but also I wish it won't stay too much especially since she fucking tried to eat you boy)

So are they kids, teens or adults ?! They fucking grow beards ! I'm confused what to HC now

Yeah so... I just wish season 1C will have better pacing, will know how to depict Cuphead and balance out his good heart and stupidity again and will calm down with the filler episodes. And I also wish it will come soon. And that animators will finally get their respect and get a REAL season 2
