I'm in Hazama mood in my fic writing now, so let's talk about the night. 💜

20 - favourite things about the night?

I like the quiet. It helps me think and focus. Inspiration hits throughout the day indiscriminately but will almost always be stronger or last longer at night. Night storms are the best. I also love daydreaming at night too. Less potential interruptions. ^^ Even the cats are quiet. I also like that it's colder. I hate the heat. Moon gazing and star gazing are always fun to do. I'm sure there are more reasons I love the night, but I can't really think of them right now. I really do like nighttime though.

VERY IMPORTANT a dam in the Netherlands, the weerdsluis lock, is directly on a migratory path for spawning fish. They have a worker stationed there to open the door for the fish, but they can take a while to open it. So to keep the fish from getting preyed on by birds they installed a doorbell. Only, the fish don't have hands to ring the doorbell. If you go to their website, they have a LIVE CAMERA AND A DOORBELL that YOU RING FOR THE FISH when they're waiting, and then the dam worker opens the door for them! I can't express how obsessed I am with this. look at this shit. oh my god.

Please check on the fish doorbell once in a while :)

do you ever see a person and you are overcome with incredible fondness? and you just think "oh." but not in a romantic or sexual way you are just filled with warmth and it makes you happy, it just does. and you think "i'm so happy you exist. i'm happy you are somewhere out there in the world, doing your thing". it's love but also not entirely

like people are lovely and i feel it in my entire chest like a burning candle that smells like roses and a sunny day
