Childe:

Oh Celestia you couldn’t be any more perfect could you? That wide-eyed, dumb little look you gave him whenever he was talking about his missions, eager to listen but to stupid to understand. He just adores you, his big hands cupping your face, squishing your cheeks to make you look even sillier. Childe just can’t get enough of you. 

You’re like a little puppy dog to him, so cute and silly yet so unknowing. He can’t help but want to smother you in hugs and kisses when you’re around, doting on you and making sure no one ever lays a finger on you aside from him.

It’s when you’re not around that things are different with Childe, it’s like he’s gone haywire, feral without your company. He wears a little locket on a chain attached to his belt, it has a picture of you and a lock of your hair inside. He makes sure to keep it well protected, occasionally spraying it with your perfume or beauty products so it smells like you. As soon as he’s back home with you though he’s the same sweet, overbearing Childe he was previously. 

Dottore:

He takes full advantage of the situation, subjecting you to minor experiments, most of which are harmless. Dottore always has his eyes on you, whether his actual ones or the ones of his segments. Even in your sleep there’s some variation of him watching you, settled at your bedside with a notepad in hand, camera just beside him. It’s like every second of your life is being recorded for Dottore, because it is.

He’s also obsessed with your body, giving you regular weekly check ups. He tells you that it’s normal, that all proper adults get checkups this often, even when the check ups push beyond the normal means. It’s not just the normal things like checking your heart rate and ensuring you’ve got no lumps, bumps, or growths. It extends into things like how fast your hair and nails grow, any changes caused by the experiments he does, changes in your natural body scent, and other random things.

Dottore also takes care of any and all medical needs you have, he’s become your personal doctor. Anything and everything you do is under his control, he picks when and how often you sleep, what you eat, how much daylight you get, and what you do on a day to day basis. The best part is you’re too stupid and naive to muster up the courage to say anything.

Pantalone:

This man, in all his wisdom and cash, adores how you let him do anything he wishes with you. You’ve become his little doll to dress up, style, and control. He makes you the perfect little partner, picking out all your outfits, regularly rotating the clothing in your wardrobe with new outfits, he’d be criminal if he let you wear the same thing twice. 

Pantalone takes you everywhere with him, flaunting his perfect little darling to others. He makes sure to use big, extravagant words when talking about you to others so that you don’t understand, it’s usually all good though so no worries. If there is any reason he can’t take you with him, you can expect him to leave a comprehensive list and schedule for you, keeping his control over what you wear even whilst he’s gone.

He uses your stupidity against you, betting things on which of you will be right or if you can answer correctly. You’re wrong every time and he loves it, and yet despite being wrong every time, because you stood no chance at knowing the right answer, you fall right into the same trap over and over again. He just adores you so much, and he’d do anything to keep you by his side, forever.

So, aren't that many changes, it's just simple, the way I usually imagine him 🥺👉👈

🍩 Skin: Ruggie has more melanin, I personally love Ruggie with any skin tone but forgive me Yana but it's hard to resist painting his skin like that.

I mean, I think it goes much better with his color palette. Personally, I would paint with this palette for him in my fanart and content forever. I want to eternally thank whoever had the idea of giving more melanin to his plush 🥺💗 I don't know if it's my laptop screen that's old, but it looks a little desaturated, but I'll adjust over time.

🍩 Blonde lashes: I still need to practice more cause I love the idea that Ruggie would have some blonde lashes, not gold and flashy but brown light 🥺

🍩 Freckles: Excessive on the nose/cheeks, ends of the arms, and a lot on the back…IT'S CANON IN MY HEAD, YANA YOU FAILED ME, HOW YOU DARE?? HOW CAN YOU NOT GIVE HIM FRECKLES?😭

🍩 Body hair: Well, he's a guy who's growing, he's about to turn 18, there's no chance no have body hair. Besides, I believe that beastmen have more body hair than humans, so for Ruggie I imagine golden hair but if it gets wet it turns a little brown, on the arms and legs 😔👉👈

🍩 Eye pupil: I know that's normal but I like to think that his pupil becomes ''thin'' (how in English is this?) when he feels threatened or annoyed by something and dilates when he sees something that interests/likes him.

🍩 Teeth: Bigger and thicker than Leona and Jack. Please, spotted hyenas have a bone-breaking bite and tear thick skins too. Ruggie canonically said he can easily eat steak with bones…Oh gosh if he likes bite who he lov- STOP NICOLI SHHHH

🍩 Hair: A little rough and messy with some split ends, I don't think he cares much about any special shampoo or conditioner, taking care of his hair. Besides, I think he occasionally cuts it with scissors on his own. I know I could leave it wavy or curly but thinking that rough bristles remind me of hyenas' fur makes me so 🥺

🍩 Body: We know that Ruggie's thin cause his condition but I believe that his legs and arms are ''strong'' of cause the acrobatic way in which he moves, both day to day, running and practicing at the Club. I don't mean bulging muscles but you realize that given his activities and abilities it makes sense!!! 😔

🍩 About the piercing: it was a detail I wanted to add but I don't know if I always imagine him with that or not 🤡👌

Forgive my grammar and English mistakes! These are my humble headcanons for Ruggie's design, if anyone thinks differently this is just fun for everyone, y'all have the right to imagine how they want. And I would like to say one more thing, about other details that I can only talk about better with more drawings, such as excess hair with spots above his tail (I love this detail too). So there will always be changes for everything!

Standing on the field, your arms were crossed over your chest as you viewed the new soldiers, gauging their abilities and filing away their endurance and skill in your head, storing it for later when you had to write the reports.

Price had asked you to do this, because he’d fallen behind on paperwork due to an unexpected mission, now having to catch up on days of paperwork that he missed.

“What do you think?”

Looking beside yourself at the voice, you took notice of the recently promoted lieutenant. They’d gotten the promotion thanks to an outstanding performance on a mission last month and had been following you around for the last few days.

Knowing how nervewracking it was to be new to such a position however, you didn’t mind, happily showing him the ropes by using your own experience as a lieutenant.

“Why don’t you tell me? I’ll say if I agree.” You hummed, motioning a hand to the men and women running through the course.

Moving a little closer, the lieutenant looked past your shoulder to where you were looking, a hand landing on your lower back that had your eyebrow raising.

“I don’t know, some certainly seem to be performing better than the rest.”

“And how would you write that down in a report?” You tested, a little sceptical at the proximity that was now between you two.

“Well, him-“ The lieutenant started, pointing an arm over your shoulder, causing you to be crowded against the railing you were standing by. You frowned at that, though you looked at the soldier being pointed at all the same. “He’s excelling in the endurance aspect. Definitely above his team’s level.”

“Anything else?” You asked, getting a little annoyed now because he wouldn’t back up.

“What else is there?”

Sighing out, you pushed the lieutenant’s arm back down. “Well you said it yourself. He’s above his team’s level. But he’s not using it to aid his team. Meaning while he excels in endurance, he’s failing in communication and teamwork. 2 bad for 1 good. That’s not enough.” You spoke curtly.

“Those two are interchangeable, so it’s really 1 bad, 1 good, don’t you think?” The lieutenant tried and you scowled.

“Don’t contest me on this.” You commanded, turning around and forcing the hand off your back as you took a step to the side to create some space.

“I’m simply looking out for the future of our-“

“I would take the word of an experienced lieutenant over your own, soldier.” A new voice suddenly spoke up and you both turned to see captain Price standing there, his arms crossed in front of him while he held a thunderous expression.

“Captain.” You smiled, relieved that you wouldn’t have to defend yourself over something so idiotic and infuriating.

“Lieutenant.” Price curtly nodded to you in greeting, walking over and purposely getting in between you and the other man, not greeting him either.

“Done with paperwork?” You asked and the man looked at you. He looked pissed, yet as his eyes crossed with yours, something else flashed in them as they briefly flitted up and down.

“Definitely not. Simply taking a break, see how you’re getting on.” He spoke, looking out over the field again.

Suddenly being cut off however, the new lieutenant frowned, put off. Leaning forward, he tried to get the other man’s attention. “Captain. With all due respect, we were in the middle of-“

“I suggest you zip it, soldier.” Price interrupted with a growl, refusing to address the man by his title. “Y/N. With me.” He spoke as he then turned around, expecting you to follow.

Without question, you did.

“Wait, but what about the assessment?” The lieutenant called out and Price responded without even turning back.

“I expect your report on my desk by tonight!”

Raising an eyebrow, you looked back to see the new lieutenant stand there, defeated, before you turned back to Price and jogged to catch up with him. “Don’t you think you’re being a little hard on him? You gave me two days to fill out the report, him not even half a day?”

“Call it a trial by fire.” Price spoke, clearly still pissed as he pushed open the door to the building, waiting for you to get in before him.

Deciding to let sleeping dogs lie, you just walk in, trekking the way to the office that you’d done so many times before.

Before long, you arrived and Price unlocked the door, opening it and stepping inside before suddenly reaching out to grab your wrist, pulling you inside and twirling you around while he slammed the door shut, pushing you up against it immediately after.

“Now what the hell was he doing, huh?” He asked, the gravel of his voice deep and threatening while you stood there, eyes wide while he reached his hand next to your hip, locking the door.

“W-What?”

“Don’t ‘what’ me, soldier.” He spoke, glaring into your eyes as he stepped up, pushing his chest against yours to pin you better. “You know perfectly well what was happening. His proximity to you, his wandering hands, that infuriating gaze. It pisses me off.”

Your eyes were a little wide as you looked up to him, his hat casting a shadow over his face that caused the dark look in his eyes to worsen twice over.

“I would never.” You whisper and at that, his eyes seemed to soften a little, seeing how spooked you looked.

“No, hey. I know you wouldn’t, my love. I trust you implicitly.” He spoke, running the back of his fingers over your cheek and down to your chin. “But he needs to learn that you’re mine.”

Growling the last word out, you got no chance before his hand gripped your neck, using the possessive hold to pull you into a kiss as he smashed his lips on yours.

Taking in a surprised breath, your hands shot up to hold onto his shoulders while his fingers flexed around your throat, deepening the kiss instantly as he pushed his tongue past your lips, rolling it against yours.

Your eyes closed while he kissed you, barely able to keep up as his left hand travelled down your side, past your hip and to your thigh, where he gripped tight.

Grunting softly into the kiss, you balled a fist into his clothing, causing you to pull him slightly closer while his lips moved with yours.

Humming, he let go of your throat, his hand instead sliding to the back of your neck, with his thumb by your ear as he savoured the taste of you on his tongue, the feel of you beneath his touch, and the warmth of you against his body.

After a second more, he finally broke the kiss, your breathing a bit heavier as he looked at you with dilated pupils.

“What are you planning?” You whisper, seeing his mind tick behind his eyes.

“It’s about time people know you’re taken.” He whispered, his voice low and gruff as his hand on your thigh squeezed.

Biting your lip, you looked at him. “And how do you want to do that without getting us both court martialled?”

“Implications.” He murmured, leaning his head forward and burying it in your neck.

“Captain?” You whispered, unsure, and Price groaned softly at that, pushing his hardening cock into you, his hips grinding against yours.

“Keep calling me that and see where it leads, love.”

Your mouth opened to let out a shaky breath at the friction, feeling your own arousal skyrocket.

“Like that?” He rumbled, his breath ghosting across your skin. Closing you eyes, you didn’t get much time to answer as suddenly, Price sunk his teeth into the skin of your neck.

Grunting, you jolted from the sudden sensation, causing you to push into Price’s bulge, making him chuckle as he let go of your skin, kissing it as he pushed you further against the door. “Stay still, lieutenant. Be good and follow orders.” He muttered into your skin, pressing kisses to your neck after while his hand then travelled from your neck down to your other leg.

“Sir?” You whispered, using the honorific on purpose, though your question was genuine as you felt him caress the back of your thighs up and down.

Smirking against your neck, Price grazed his teeth across the sensitive skin, moving up to your ear where he breathed softly, knowing it would drive you mad as you felt a tingle shoot down your spine, causing your back to instinctively arch.

“That’s it.” Price praised, only to suddenly hoist your legs up and off the ground by your thighs. Your eyes widened and you gasped at your sudden loss of balance, though Price kept you up all the same. With a little guidance from him, you wrapped your legs around his waist, biting your lower lip as you felt his erection now pushed directly into you.

There was no escape, no wiggle room, no nothing as his hands moved from your hips to your ass, keeping you aloft with it as well as his hips pressing you into the door.

“John-“ You whimpered but the man tutted.

“That’s not the right way to address me and you know it.” He purred, pressing a kiss right below your ear afterwards.

Biting your lip, you shifted your hips a bit to feel the friction, one of your hands moving up to tangle into his hair while you took off his hat with the other.

So, to start things off... What happened at the end of chapter 98 was apparently just a false alarm, but it still managed to end the the graduation party after everyone ran to the bunkers... So, Henry asked Martha about what she was going to tell him, and well...:

After this, Martha is seen crying her eyes out at her home...!! 😭 But after receiving a letter in the mail, she has a wonderful idea to write letters to Henry while she's away...!! 🥹

The first thing she writes to him is to see her off before she departs, but because the letter contained her exact location, these assholes "lovely gentleman" had to black out almost EVERYTHING MARTHA WROTE!! 😫 Which meant...:

But even after that mishap, Martha would continue to write to Henry, and he even wrote back to her...! 🥹 But eventually...:

I know that there is awfulness all around us and not everyone is in it for the betterment of others... After Martha writes a letter a telling Henry that she wishes that she could see him, it brings him tears and the only thing that he could muster to think of saying to her is "I wish I could see you too"... 💔 Then when going to mail another letter to Martha, Henry over hears on the radio...:

Time passes, Henry has a his famous monoclonal now (most likely due to be badly injured in his eye when those bastards beat him up) and is forced to marry someone for his family... Then, it cuts to place near the East-West border and...:

Martha's still alive, obviously, but WHO TOOK HER IN AND SAVED HER!?!? 🤔

Could it be someone from the Blackbell's, someone related to Twilight, Shopkeeper or McMahon...? I DON'T KNOW...!! But, we'll have wait and find out in CHAPTER 100 BABY!!! 😆

And that was Mission 99, and it was FANTASTIC AND HEARTBREAKING ALL AT THE SAME TIME!!! 💔🥲💔 This why we LET 👏 ENDO 👏 COOK!!! 👏👏👏

I am SOOOOOO EXCITED for this!! 😄 But when it releases, I'm not sure if I'll continue to do reviews of the episodes as they come out... Near the end of season 2, I got quite a bit burnt out from writing my anime reviews, so I never talked about the last 3 episodes of season 2... 😩 But, we'll see how I feel by the time when the anime returns...!! 😁

it had been a good nights sleep since you and neteyam had your little argument, he laid in bed all night thinking of ways to cheer you up until he finally thought of the perfect idea

neteyam woke up earlier than usual, heading out towards the water. going on a hunt for enough shells to make you a necklace, he always noticed the bare of your neck where nothing sat, so he made it his mission to make the prettiest necklace for the prettiest person.

after he had found identical shells, he went back home to make it.

he searched around the island for you, finally spotting you and his sister, tuk in the water picking out the prettiest shells out of the handful you both had. neteyam admired that you hung out with his little sister and made time for her even when you were busy.

neteyam stood and watched you and tuk pick out the prettiest ones you liked, tuk had to go with neytiri for some reason. so neteyam finally had his time with just you without his siblings around

you were now both standing knee high in the water, “i said i would make it up to you, so i made you this” he said revealing the necklace he had hiding behind his back, you were stunned. the fact he actually made this for you had your jaw on the floor, “it’s so pretty!” you said smiling widely “like you,” he said smugly, you blushed and broke the eye contact “stop” you laughed, neteyam joining in. “turn around” he ordered, putting the necklace around your neck, twirling you around and placing a quick bit passionate kiss to your lips.

it had been a couple days since your argument, tsireya had been spending all her free time around you. being extra affectionate, you knew this was because of what had happened but you couldn’t help but love this side of her.

she had even been distant with lo’ak, he kind of understood why because neteyam had told him after you had broke down and told him (just pretend neteyams your best friend here lmao)

“look! this shell is beautiful” tsireya said reaching the surface of the water, you and tsireya had little ‘dates’ where you’d both search for the nicest shells in the reef.

“new one to the collection?” you asked, she nodded smiling, you and the girl were only a couple inches away from eachother.

“can i kiss you?” she asked, you nodded eagerly even though you and tsireya had shared atleast 10 kisses that day.

you both got over the argument extremely quick, tsireya isn’t the type to hold a grudge, especially on the person she loves most.

Kili:

Kili is a little impulsive in the way he protects you. Like if there's someone bothering you he will absolutely cause a scene.

If there is someone being mean to you and he overhears it, he'll wrap his arms around your waist from behind and asks them if there's a problem.

(He gets possessive in moments like these.)

It's not surprising how fast people get scared off by a scowling prince. As soon as he arrives there are lots of bowed heads and mumbled apologies before whoever was bothering you scampers away.

And if there's a man harassing you? Don't even bother trying to hold Kili back, it's pointless.

Any indication that you're being followed, sexually harassed or anything remotely threatening, he's already drawn his sword and marched towards them with fury on his face.

This is more for the threat than with intention to kill, but he will not hesitate to knock out whoever was scaring you.

As soon as they're gone, he immediately reverts back into the sweet, goofy dwarf you're used to. He triple checks that you're alright, that you're not hurt, and then will spoil you with affection for the rest of the day.

Fili:

Fili is much more toned back than his younger brother, but that doesn't mean he cares any less. He's just very conscious about escalating anything in case you get hurt.

When someone is being mean to you, while he does flash a quick glare in their direction, he will generally ignore them. He sidles up to you and presses his forehead to yours in greeting, with his hand on the small of your back, and makes sure to shower you with compliments as he guides you away from them.

And obviously being heir to the throne nobody would even think about saying anything to you again now that they know you're a couple.

If you're being harassed, Fili is angry but will not move to physical violence unless he's provoked.

He will subconsciously put himself between you and your harasser, with a hand on one of the many blades he keeps on his person. He doesn't draw it, but makes it obvious that he is armed.

He tells the person to leave, his voice dangerously quiet. Somehow it's scarier than if he was yelling.

Much like Kili, once he's checked that you're unharmed he spoils you for the rest of the day. He isn't usually massive on PDA - he enjoys it but has an image to uphold - but he will indulge you as much as you want after this event.

He knows how Guan Shan doesn’t talk but doesn’t listen, either. He knows that Guan Shan doesn’t always think rationally but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t think, and he knows how his body goes on autopilot before his thoughts cause him to malfunction and crash and burn.

He knows.

After all, it's the little things that add up. He Tian can only pray that they won't come crashing back down.

Hmm...

Falling through ice is a classic, but slipping on ice or being unable to run on ice are both good ones I don't see many people do! With the first, you get hypothermia and the shock of falling into freezing water, but the second is good for banging characters up/making it hard for them to fight. Ice!

Also, cars fishtailing on ice. Car chases, car crashes, etc. etc. Happens all the time, and it's soooo easy to catch a slippery patch and end up in a ditch somewhere

Hypothermia in general is 👌 so good

Illness!! Love a good far-from-civilization-stuck-in-a-snowstorm-can't-call-town-and-this-guy-has-a-bad-fever situation, but also just being at home sick on a cold winter day (or BECAUSE of a cold winter day) and sipping tea by a fire or under a blanket. See also, warm bath

Shivering!! Cold, fever, fear, you name it.

Frostbite is another one I don't see people do a whole lot, or not mention directly at least. Even mild frostbite can cause lasting damage--the second you go inside and your skin stays waxy and white, it means you've frozen it and you're probably going to be way more sensitive to the cold in the future! I froze my face once as a kid and I still can't go outside below 10 degrees celsius without feeling like I have ice on my cheeks. As for bad frostbite... I'm not huge on amputation whump, but tissues start to die when they've been frozen for too long---there's a particular sort of horror to be found when your toes look necrotic (google only if you have a strong stomach) and you can't even feel them 😬 maybe a bit of a gross one, but the time limit before frostbite sets in can be a good whumpy motivator!

With that being said, numbness! But also, when your skin gets cold it hurts a lot more to be slapped or hit, so there are levels to that one!

Blizzards are good! Lost, stuck inside, forced to go out in the freezing wind and icy snowfall whipping your face. Good stuff!

Sleep. For those of you who don't live in cold climates, it's draining as hell! We recently had a week of -40 weather and every time I came back from class I would be completely exhausted even though it's only a block away. Both tiredness, and sleeping for a long time can be good whump things in wintery situations!

This is a scary one, but avalanches. Don't want to get swept up in it... it's easy to be buried alive and snow is too heavy to get out of, so you better hope caretaker is nearby 😳

Coughing/lungs hurting from how cold the air is while running away from something/just walking outside when it's super cold

oh, red roses, i'm afraid i always suck at this type of question! surprising no one, i've always loved the medieval period, as a vaguely-defined aesthetic interval. what a completely predictable answer! 😂 i'm a complete dilettante, though, as i have had a total of 1 measly medieval history course in uni, so i'm coasting on vibes most of the time. i do love castles a lot, though, and i visit as many as i can during my holidays. and sometimes i go down the rabbit hole when it comes to the late bronze age collapse.

but, you see, my schooling was mainly in the 20th century, and by that i mean the "short century" of 1914-1991 with a few courses on the long 19th century (1800-1914) leading up to it, and both of these periods have always been interesting for me to study, perhaps the intervals i also found the ~easiest, so studying them at university-level felt the most natural choice for me. to be honest with you, i don't really dislike any historical period, but i probably wouldn't have appreciated sitting for exams on them! whereas the 19th-20th centuries just tended to gel better in my mind and i could make the most sense of them.

i really like the social & cultural aspects (what a vague descriptor LOL) but i avoided them like the plague in uni, because i could not stand studying them for actual grades. i like finding out about them organically through reading (social history is a super important field & i will fight anyone to the death to defend it), but i would have legit lost my mind if i had to be quizzed on matters like church and society LMFAO. from the very beginning i was a brat! so i always, always chose the political/diplomatic modules without question, without blinking. it's the balance of powers and hegemonic stability theory for me all the way

it's funny because it's exactly what i did for my aforementioned one medieval course, because during the exam we had to pick the type of question we wanted to be quizzed on, and i immediately went for the political/diplomatic pile because for the economic/social category the professor had us reading stuff like crop rotation and i nearly had an aneurysm when i opened the course book. the way i immediately skipped all that and just went to petty kingdoms and my elizabeth i book,,,,,,,,,,,,

we focused a lot on the world wars, in the least shocking turn of events, and spent a lot of time on the leading causes, peace treaties, formation of international organisations, regimes etc. nothing like painstakingly writing pages after pages of course notes on the treaty of versailles wednesdays at 8:00 in the morning. it does something to a person! 👌

as for historical figures, i haven't really fixated on a favourite one, so to speak. i mean, wojtek the bear is always a good answer though!

Ominis could feel people staring. Over the years, he'd become well-versed in that strange extra sense, recognizing the slight prickle on the back of his neck. It usually bothered him a bit---people thought they could get away with it, as he couldn't stare back. He didn't like feeling like some sort of display for the world to view at their leisure.

But tonight he couldn't care less.

He didn't care if every pair of eye in the whole of Hogwarts rested on him. All he cared about were the familiar uneven footsteps coming towards him.

A wide grin formed on his face as the delicate scent of her lavender perfume hit him. He reached out a hand, and without the slightest hesitation, she took it.

The crowd seemed to disperse a bit as the two walked toward the ballroom. It wasn't as if he hadn't heard the slight whispers around the castle when word got out he'd asked her to the Yule Ball---Ominis was always one to keep up with the latest in school gossip, and he wasn't surprised that the news was something of note to his peers. For some reason, the fact that the two of them---the blind boy and the girl with a limp---were going to the ball together caused some sort of stir. He'd heard faint whispers asking how they'd be able to dance, or if they'd just stay sitting for all of it. Would she even dress up, if she didn't get the satisfaction of her date admiring it?

None of it mattered to him.

Instead, the only thing that mattered was her and the way her arm looped through his, the bare skin of her forearm feeling warm and inviting as she led him.

He leaned his head closer to hers. "You look beautiful, by the way."

She chuckled a bit. "And how do you know?"

"I've always known," he said simply. "Besides, I can feel all the heads that turn toward you when we walk by. I'd dare say they're jealous."

They stopped near a table as couples around them moved to positions to dance. "If they envy anything, it's the lucky chance I have to be your date," she said, letting her arm fall from his elbow to trace down and grasp his hand.

He grinned. "You flatter me, darling."

"I try."

He gave her hand a squeeze as the music began to swell, the first dance beginning. "Shall we?" he asked.

"I thought you'd never ask."

She helped guide him to an empty space on the floor, his wand tucked into his pocket. He had no use for it---she was the only guide he needed tonight. Their arms raised into position, and he took a moment to revel in the way his hand felt on her waist. Then they began.

They moved like two cogs in an intricate machine---as if they'd been carefully crafted to fit together. With the gentle pressure of her hand, she expertly kept them out of harms way. He never had to doubt a step, trusting completely that she'd be his sight. In turn, his hands kept her firm. He led each step with a grace so contagious that it spread to her effortlessly. Each turn and movement was perfect, making up for any weakness in her leg with an outpouring of support.

There was no question that they were the best dancers on the floor.

People were staring again---he could feel it. And once again, he didn't care. In fact, he reveled in it. Damn their doubts and their whispers. They were perfect together. It was time they recognized what a blind man had seen all along.

ok this has me curious! id love to know when wukong abandons macaque first, cause i personally can't think of the time he does that. (i know tone is hard to come across via text so i want to make it clear im being 100% genuine here).

based on all the time we know wukong left macaque, he always came back to him and his intentions for leaving were to protect macaque and the monkeys on flower fruit mountain. when he left to train with subodhi, he came back after his training. we also never see macaque show any disdain for this or claim that was wukong abandoning him with the action.

then, wukong goes to the celestial realm and works as the stable boy before he gets super drunk and petty and then goes back to flower fruit mountain. macaque never shows any anger over this either, so i don't think that's abandonment.

after, wukong and the brotherhood attack the celestial realm and wukong is captured and put into the furnace and then forced under the mountain. i don't think wukong's capture counts as abandonment, especially since wukong makes it super clear that he does not want to be under that rock.

originally i thought macaque didn't know about wukong's capture like azure and the others, which could be a reasonable conclusion for him to come to; that wukong abandoned him for the celestials, but we know that macaque knows wukong was captured. macaque even visits him under the mountain. that's when macaque severs their ties and leaves wukong trapped.

also yes........ yes..!!! mk & mei are the wukong & macaque narrative parallels.... i love storytelling

its less about "macaque having to bail wukong out and indanger himself over wukong's problems" but more of like, wukong and macaque did the exact same thing, which was attacking the celestial realm. that's why wukong got caught. it's not just macaque, azure, peng, bull king and yellowtusk have some sort of moral responsibility in a way to at least try to help wukong, because all of their combined actions led to wukong taking the punishment for all of them.

i mean, sure, macaque has no reason or responsibility to bail wukong out if you look at it from that scene alone, with the "you dont owe anyone anything" mindset. but considering the other things we know, like how macaque was apart of the attack and supported wukong and fought along side him, there's a bit of a moral obligation to help wukong out since macaque's apart of the reason why wukong was captured.

#This post almost has the opposite problem of ''Wukong is villainzied while Macaque is a baby boy'' like#Wukong wasn't a good person either (they both suck(ed))#But he changed

HAHA lol sorry, that wasnt my intent. i want to make it clear that yeah, wukong wasnt a good person either! but i think the major distinction is that he wasnt a good person, past tense. in the show currently, wukong's a pretty alright guy, and the journey to the west helped him grow into a better person. i jsut feel it isn't necessary to mention wukong's terrible traits from the past because they arent... relevant to him in the current tense. that, along with the fact that the fandom keeps bringing it up, im focused more on mentioning macaque's terrible actions instead of wukong's because macaque is still acting that way while wukong grew as a person hundreds of years before canon. no reason to mention the terrible past of someone who's already made up for it, that kind of thing.

i feel like thats a misinterpretation of season 2 and wukong's actions, because the reason wukong "abandons" mk is to keep mk out of danger. wukong's objective is to find a way to defeat the lady bone demon without having to drag mk into it, because he feels mk isn't ready for that kind of large battle yet. he isn't leaving mk behind to go look for more power for himself, he's leaving mk in a safe place while he goes to deal with the main threat to keep mk from getting involved. he isn't quick enough, but the point still stands.

macaque steps in and even admits in the shadow play episode that he only came by to torture mk for fun ("i was gonna do the whole watch the hero be tormented by their own mistakes thing..." is what he says, which is funny because that's really relevant to wukong's character too haha).

#SWK is making the same mistake he always has. And then MK in s2 is ALSO making that same mistake#And Macaque had to be a loser about it but it is very interesting to see it from his pov.#He steps in when MK is acting that little bit too much like Wukong in all the wrong ways. (2x07 4x09)

and you've got a point! wukong has a habit of shouldering everything himself and believing he has to be the one to fix everything, since he has the most abilities and powers out of everyone... *gestures vaguely* alive, lol. that's why he keeps secrets throughout s2-3, because the way he deals with large scale threats is by keeping his cards close to his chest. given his past, i don't blame him

so true, too, cause mk's going down that path of self isolation like wukong has already done. mk's trying to spare his friends from his "burdens" (his trauma with lbd in s2 and his trauma from azure lion and the scroll in s4) and by doing so he shuts down and keeps to himself. macaque interprets this as him "abandoning his friends", but that's because macaque's a projector LOL. we already know he does that constantly. i find it interesting too, cause macaque is somehow the most empathetic person in the cast but uses that as a way to drag people down to his level, its rlly fun. i like macaque a lot

i'll be real, i don't think macaque steps in because he genuinely wants to help mk, it's more like he sees mk (season 2 specifically here) as a smaller, weaker wukong that he can actually punch around. he knows if he tried to mess with the real wukong he'd get his ass handed to him, so he goes for the easier target. in season 4, his perspective is different but it still isn't 100% in mk's favor. and also imma be real his advice was butt booty dog water bHKBHADBHKAHAH

side note that im not able to articulate that well because its late but it moderately fits this topic: macaque uses shadow play as partially a way to continue placing doubt in mk's mind about wukong. macaque has a vendetta, and so he thinks everyone else should hate wukong too, no matter how wukong acts now. macaque practically refuses to accept wukong's changed because that would mean macaque would have to self reflect and realize that he isnt all that like he acts like he is. he's very self righteous and tries to put down mk while also placing doubt and manipulating mk into disliking and not trusting wukong. he does this like every chance he gets in season 3, also

so true! lego monkie kid's s1-3 message of the world being fine just the way it is because there's good people in it is what made me fall in love with the series at first. and also how it shows how people live their lives and keep moving despite the hardships of the world is very nice. me like. and yeah! macaque's "look out for number one" mentality is very nice and i like how that fits into his and wukongs characters. its very night and day (HA get it). wukong tries to look out for everyone else while macaque is only interested in looking out for himself. its cool , i like that. especially because it relates back to their original versions in the original story, where macaque represents the dark desires of the mind like his selfishness and spitefulness and wukong kills him as a sign of overcoming those desires and instead choosing the path towards enlightenment and doing good for others and the world.

macaque has a habit of forming full opinions and thoughts on people without properly knowing them and then sticking to those thoughts for the rest of time, not considering their ability to grow and change. mk constantly makes him have to come to terms with the fact that he is wrong and its so awesome. especially because we all know daaamn well that he saw himself in the "mei is my best friend, im not going to leave her when she needs me!" moment. its really good

yeah its super wild. a lot of ppl (esp in this fandom, i havent seen it this bad since like voltron i think and i wasnt even apart of that fandom) believe that to like a villain there has to be some reason why the character is secretly "the good guy" or something, because if they like a straight up bad guy then it means theyre a bad person, when in reality its just relating to the conflicts that those "bad guys" represent and stuff. idk its wild out here i have never seen people jump through so many hoops to justify why they like a villain. they dont have to be secret good people, they can be bad and you can like them because of that. like, one of my fav characters from modern cartoons is emperor belos from the owl house and that guy is like basically pure evil LOL

Things I Noticed While Writing Light The Fuse: Part 14, Episode 5

Nothing could've prepared us for this strength reveal. Matty in a tanktop again with such an awful pitching form. Ethan's super wide stance and the fact that he really thought he could catch up to it. That ball doesn't even touch ground in the park, and Matty completely knew this was coming, maybe he was hoping he'd take it easy on them this time.

You can also hear a clocktower go off here, and I'm not sure if it's signaling 2, which means Gary should be making his drop (I wanted them to arrive at the same time to keep everything on schedule but the fact that they're just playing ball while Gary is at Percy's to kill time is funny to me), or if it's a generic gong to signal the hour

You really thought you were gunna get that one huh champ, it literally disappears into the distance, these are nowhere close to the fence

The first shot is actually slightly longer in the extended ep and I only noticed when my subs didn't match up to Hulu's version (what I'm using for this series), and that's the only change to this whole scene. But this convo is so important, this whole time Matty has just been bragging to cops about Ethan's murder and now he wants to actually know about it, be trusted with that information other than 'yeah that happened'.

And it would be so easy for Ethan to keep lying as he's been doing, just twist the truth enough to keep them away from his reality, but he doesn't, and even though it's just them playing baseball together for the fun of it instead of having this convo on the river or at the 707, that makes this scene so important to me I had to write it twice in my fic, one for the dialogue and one for the baseball, but both so intimate in their own way, I knew I couldn't do it any other way

The shoes! I was finally gunna talk about the shoes! And then I looked up and realized that his undershirt is over a bit too much and he's flashing us just the teeniest amount and my brain turned to radio static again 😵😳😵

Okay I'm back, but the shoes! I love his shoes so much! Look at the heels on those things! And he has them in white too like these are just his favourite brand of shoes! I was trying to find out how tall he was and imdb said 6'1 and out loud I went 'no he's fuckin not' cause he's shorter than Johnson in all their scenes with the heels, and his are like very thin on his own boots, so some wires are getting crossed here 🤔 but I know that no matter what he's still taller than me and that's all that matters

Anyway everyone needs to appreciate Matty's fashion, I know Johnson eats with every outfit like the vest in this ep is so damn good but Matty with his western arrow shirt and his fancy belt and then normal jeans and thick-heeled shoes are just 😚👌

I wonder if they talked about it in the scenes where Ethan wasn't around, cause in canon he ditches them to talk to Doris more than they're ditching him to make out so they still get time to talk alone offscreen, and again this is the first and only time Matty questions it. I feel like Johnson already has some doubts since the subs make him say or instead of yeah as a full mock, like he already has that good a read on him that he knows something might be up even if Ethan has only ever said it in fear and full confidence, a big difference than my fic for once since I had him say it in order to help Ethan speak more easily.

I would seriously pay for an entire show just with them, split season 2 into them and then everyone else lol just gimme every single second possible with them please

Finally, Ethan tells the truth, as detailess as possible, but still, this is what happened. Matty and Johnson looking at each other instead of him during this is interesting, I wonder if they've already gone over the little details he'd shared before so this is Matty confirming his own thoughts and Johnson wanting to again get right to the meat of it, just like when he was talking about his mom, he always manages to do this when no one else can

Yes, Ethan! Question it! Tell them everything and have them still accept you because they like having you here even if it doesn't make sense! The entire time they're not even looking at him, they're going over the possibility that he heard wrong and he isn't a murderer, he doesn't have to be here because his life is still safe. Maybe Matty was already having doubts on Cop Night when the cop didn't get the APB so he's been talking to Johnson about it, and still all this is changing nothing

Okay Ethan, I need you to listen to me very carefully. I need you to look them in the eye, then look me in the eye, and tell me personally that it was Meredith who made you feel less alone.
