Hey! I saw that you’re writing for JJK characters - do you have a limit on your requests? I have some ideas!
My first one is yuta x sorcerer reader where they’re starting to develop romantic feelings for each other and reader begins to put themselves down by comparing themselves to rika (yuta is unaware they’ve been feeling this way)
Thank you!!🫶🫶🫶

Sypnosis - As odd as it was, you were jealous of a curse. But in truth, your own self-worth was to blame for the situation.
Warning(s) - canon JJK violence, mature themes, foul language, RIka (I love her but she terrifies me)
A/N - I feel like this request would actually be me if I was at Jujutsu Tech, so thank you Anon for unknowingly making me feel very seen.
! PIECE BEGINS UNDERNEATH THE CUT !
Tumblr media
It all started when you slowly began to distance yourself from Yuuta.
"Hey, Maki!" Yuuta waves, jogging towards Maki with a smile plastered onto his face. His arm is lifted in a friendly wave, one that Maki returns as he makes his way over to her. "Quick question, have you seen (Y/N) anywhere? I've been looking all over and I just can't find her."
Maki hums in thought, the tip of her weapon tapping against her lip. She shakes her head shortly after, her shoulders lifting in a shrug. "No idea, I haven't seen her either."
Yuuta's face falls, an expression of worry overtaking the smile that had previously turned his lips upward. His fingers fidget with one another, nails scraping against the sides of his skin as worry crawls into his stomach.
"I'm sure she's just caught up with her own missions, that's all," Maki says reassuringly, taking a mental note of the concerned expression that had slowly wormed its way onto Yuuta's face. She reaches out, placing a gentle palm against his shoulder and squeezing, smiling at him.
He nods in agreement – there had been times where his missions piled up and he was left with little to no time to relax. Maybe you just so happened to be caught up in the same situation, it wasn't unlikely.
"Right, yeah," he mutters offhandedly, his gaze shifting to the floor. He stares down at his shoes for a moment, feeling the pit of worry in his stomach only deepen.
< ... >
"(Y/N)! Hey!" Yuuta smiles widely upon seeing you walking beside Inumaki. He lifts his hand in a wave, pausing as he notices the darkened expression on your face. Your eyes flicker away from him, and through the side of your mouth you mumble something to Inumaki before quickly departing.
Yuuta slows as he grows nearer to Inumaki, eyebrows knit together curiously. Already, you were halfway down Jujutsu Tech's front stairs, back turned to both Yuuta and Inumaki.
He watches as you leave, turning then to Inumaki, who also stares curiously at you. The sudden change in attitude was unlike you — and he’d be lying if he said that wasn’t curious as to why you acted out the way that you had.
“Is everything okay with (Y/N)?” Yuuta inquires, lifting his finger to his mouth, nibbling nervously on it. Just over his shoulder, Rika watches curiously, her head tilted slightly to the side in a mixture of jealousy and intrigue.
"Salmon," Inumaki responds, lifting his shoulders in a shrug.
< … >
Groaning to yourself, you catch your head as it falls into your hands. Laid out on your desk are your schoolbooks, none of which have anything written into them even though your original intention had been to catch up on the homework that you were missing.
But, of course, your mind had wandered elsewhere, too focused on a different situation entirely – your avoidance of Yuuta.
You hadn't meant to avoid him as much as you did, but it wasn't as if you could help it. Each and every time you did so much as look at him, she was right there to curl a protective hand around him, tugging him further and further away from you with every interaction.
Was it a little pathetic that you were comparing yourself to a Cursed Spirit? Maybe. But that didn't eradicate the fact that she actively kept Yuuta from doing anything with anyone – Maki was lucky to be within a five mile radius of Yuuta for training purposes.
Rika was protective – but it wasn't that fact that bothered you. What bothered you was the fact that, unlike Rika, you weren't able to protect or be there for Yuuta in the same way that she could. You weren't nearly as strong as she was, you were a measly Third-Grade after all.
You couldn't even keep up with your classmates – even Maki was too swift for you sometimes. Of course, there was always room to improve, but watching everyone else improve while you remained the same stung, like a fresh wound that you had just poured peroxide over.
Even with your lack of skill, your classmates still respected you like they would any other Jujutsu Sorcerer. Maki always made sure to offer her hand to you after training with you, Panda would offer you helpful advice when you ran the track with him, hell, even Inumaki would fix your form when you practiced your Cursed Technique.
And, of course, there was Yuuta.
He was the one to cheer you on during training, he was the one to help you patch whatever scratches your body sustained after lessons, he was the one to crack muttered jokes to you while Gojo lectured, he was the one to cut his lunch in half on the days that you had accidentally forgotten yours in your dorm – Yuuta had been there for you since the very beginning.
So then why did she make you as insecure as she did?
Rika was a curse, a manifestation of negative emotions. Her sole purpose is to protect Yuuta in situations where he's incapable of protecting himself. And even then, you had only really seen her in action once – and that was when she had lost control of herself watching Maki overpower Yuuta during a physical lesson.
You sigh to yourself, fingernails scratching against the sides of your head. A gentle sound rouses you from your thoughts, and it's then that you realize you had unintentionally started crying. You stare down at the tear marks that had fallen onto the pages of your notebook, smudging the lines and your writing.
You lift your fingers to swipe your tears away, already feeling pathetic at the fact that you found yourself crying over an issue that you genuinely had no control over. It wasn't as if you could exorcise Rika and suddenly all of your problems would have fixed themselves.
A knock at your dormitory door stops that thought before it can escalate.
"(Y/N)? It's me!"
Yuuta.
Quickly, you swipe your palms against your eyes, no doubt leaving the skin there red and irritated. Huffing in annoyance, you wipe the end of your shirt against your eyes, praying that he wouldn't be stupid enough to point out the obvious once you opened the door.
You stand from your desk, not bothering to push in your chair as you stride towards the door. On the other side is Yuuta, his lips pulled upward in that smile that always seemed to brighten everyone's day, no matter how dark it may have been.
You don't say anything, already feeling guilt seep into your bones. Even with you avoiding him constantly, Yuuta still came to find you. God, you felt like such a bitch.
"Hey," you say quietly, swallowing the waver in your voice and forcing yourself to smile at him.
"Hey. I – uh – noticed you've been distant lately. Is everything okay? Is there anything that you want to talk about with me?" Yuuta offers softly, wringing his hands out nervously in front of him. He did that often, mainly when he spoke to Maki. It was cute to you, how nervous he was.
"Oh," is all you manage to get out. Your eyes flicker away from his, instead watching as a group of students wander the hallways, turning the corner before vanishing from your line of sight. You know that Yuuta is still watching you expectantly, wanting you to say something but also not wanting to force you into an uncomfortable conversation.
No time like the present, right?
"It's a stupid issue, really. I wouldn't want to--"
"It's not stupid if it's you (Y/N)," Yuuta cuts you off, his cheeks immediately burning a bright shade of pink. He swallows quickly, lifting his hands and waving them back and forth. "I'm sorry! I didn't mean to cut you off! But it's true!"
You stare in awe at him for a moment, your mouth dry as you stand silently in the doorframe of your dorm. Neither of you say anything for a second or two, staring at the other as if they had sprouted a second head.
"Sorry...how about we just talk, yeah?" Yuuta offers, his lips turning upward in another one of those smiles that melts your heart.
You nod, stepping to the side and permitting him entry. He walks past you, taking a seat on the small couch in your dormitory. He had been in there many times before, but recently, many of your little traditions had faded into nothing but little memories.
Your teeth dig into your bottom lip, tugging the skin upward before you release it just as you feel blood beginning to drip from the self-inflicted wound.
Hesitantly, you sit on the couch beside Yuuta, lifting your legs and crossing your ankles over one another. He waits patiently for you to start talking – the last thing that he wanted was to make you uncomfortable.
"I swear I didn't mean to be so distant," you begin. A buzzer sounds loudly in your head – liar. You continue anyway, ignoring the little nagging voice nestled in the back of your mind. "It's just, I don't know, I haven't felt great recently."
Yuuta remains silent, his hands folded in his lap as he watches you intently. He can feel his heart clenching at your words, how had he not noticed that you were suffering before?
"Why?"
"Because I'm not like you or anyone else. You all are special, you're all talented in your own way. Hell, even Rika is--"
You cut yourself off before you bite out an undeserved insult towards Rika. Your jealousy of her was strong, obviously, but you never wanted to verbalize that to Yuuta. What if then he turned his back on you too? Then you'd really be left with absolutely nothing.
"I just don't feel like I'm supposed to be here – at Jujutsu Tech," you finally admit. Internally, you cringe at just how childish your voice sounds, how it breaks between words and shakes as you bite back the sobs that rise in your throat.
You pause at the feeling of someone's fingers slipping into your own. Your gaze flickers down to where your hand had been resting on the couch, shocked to see that Yuuta had bravely reached out to hold your hand.
"You do belong here (Y/N). You're just as good a sorcerer as any of the rest of us, if not better. I mean, who else could take on Inumaki in a fight and stand a chance?"
Your lips quirk apprehensively into a smile. Yuuta smiles at the sight of it, his eyes crinkling at the corners as his fingers momentarily squeeze your own.
"I've always thought that you were the strongest," Yuuta whispers, talking as if he's sharing a secret that he wants only you to hear. Your cheeks heat at his words, eyes widening slightly.
"Really?"
Yuuta nods happily, squeezing your fingers again. "Yeah."
You find yourself smiling at him, feeling your heart warm at his sentiment. Suddenly, every single negative comment you had ever uttered to yourself fades into the void – replaced instead by the warmth that Yuuta's words had provided you.
"And I've always love-" Yuuta cuts himself off, pressing his lips together into a firm line before he's able to finish. You glance upward, already feeling your heart sink at the sight of Rika hovering behind Yuuta, her clawed hand resting on his shoulder. It feels like she's tempting him to finish, wanting to have an excuse to begin screaming and throwing a tantrum.
You retract your hand from Yuuta's grip, but amazingly, he reaches for you again. For the first time, he ignores the curse behind him, keeping his focus solely on you. Only you.
"Yuuta-"
"I've always loved you (Y/N). And I hate to hear you say that you think you aren't as strong as the rest of us because in all honesty, you're stronger than any of us could ever be," Yuuta explains, wincing as he feels Rika claw into his shoulder, but he continues to ignore her presence.
"If it wasn't for you, I don't think that any of us would be where we are right now."
Weirdly enough, you feel yourself tearing up at Yuuta's words, the burning sensation of tears blurring your vision, obscuring your view of Yuuta. He smiles at you, using his other hand to brush away the tears that just barely cling to your bottom lash line.
He opens his arms to you, smiling as you shift into them, pressing your face into his shoulder and allowing yourself to be wrapped in the warmth of his embrace.
"Thank you," you whisper, your voice caught by the fabric of his shirt, but he hears you all the same.
"You don't need to thank me for anything."

into a daybreak wondrously clear
"just ask her already," panda urges. "the worst she can do is say no." 2k. yuuta/maki. fluff. also on ao3.
Yuuta has had better days.
Not only did he wake up on the wrong side of the bed—literally, because Panda had insisted on warding his room every day as a safety precaution only for it to turn upside down in the middle of the night—he also woke up with the world's worst hangover. For someone so quiet, Inumaki could really hold down his liquor. He supposes that's one of the biggest trade-offs, in Panda's words: perks, of being a cursed speech wielder. Yuuta wasn't much of a drinker and didn't care for the taste, but Inumaki came home from a 3-day mission in Kyoto and looked like he could use it.
And as Yuuta stares down the bottom of the toilet for what feels like the fifth time just that morning alone, he learns to really, really regret it.
Then there was the other thing.
-
"So who are you bringing?"
It was earlier during the week, a random Wednesday morning where sakura petals graced the stone path and sunlight streamed between the gaps of the trees. It was their routine to eat lunch outside at least once a week. Yuuta finds himself looking forward to them.
Yuuta blinks up from his bento, chewing on a karaage. "What?"
"Next week," Maki glances at him. "The thing."
"What thing?" Yuuta chews more slowly. "What's next week?"
Maki looks at him in surprise. He heard Panda trying to subdue his chuckles next to him, failing because he cackled like a beast. Even Inumaki was looking at him like Rika was lurking behind him again, only Yuuta knows better now, and actually looks back to confirm. His eyes meet only the open forest instead.
"Did I miss something..?"
Panda looks amused. "So Gojo-sensei really didn't tell you."
Yuuta sat up straighter now, lunch be damned. "Tell me what."
"It's the special grade initiation ceremony," Maki explains. "You're supposed to bring a plus one."
“Who did Gojo-sensei bring then?"
Yuuta’s mind is going a mile a minute, wracking his brain for any other details he missed during orientation. God knows how much of a nervous wreck he was. He wouldn’t put it past him to actually forget something as monumental as this in the enrollment packet.
Because this was apparently a big thing, this ceremony, and Yuuta needed time to think.
They all turn to Panda, who puts a paw up to his chin in contemplation. "I think it was Ieiri-san," he notes. "But he moved up together with their former classmate then, that Getou. The one who—" Panda mock-sliced a hand around his neck. "—went crazy last year in Shinjuku. Yaga allowed them both to share a witness that time."
"A witness?" Yuuta bristles. "What for?"
"It's a higher-up thing," Panda explains further. "An old bureaucratic tradition. Special grades are hard to come by, as I'm sure you know by now, so it's huge when someone moves up the ranks. Not to mention move as fast as you did. So there's a whole ceremony for it—catering, program, networking. The whole thing."
"You got fitted recently, right?" Maki gestures to him.
Yuuta remembers the oba-san taking her time measuring each and every length of his body and arms and legs and shoulders and chest. He blushed profusely the entire time, still not used to all the sudden attention, and thought he'd die on the spot whenever she made a passing comment about how good his proportions were or even: so morbidly: she's a lucky one.
"I—" Yuuta starts. "I thought that was for my uniform."
"It is," Maki confirms, stealing the rest of his octopus sausage. His hands have a mind of their own, then, pushing them to her before he can even think to do it. "But it's also for the kimono you're gonna wear. Can't have special grades wearing basic haori."
"But—" Yuuta contemplates. "I mean. Do I have to?"
Inumaki suddenly starts nodding his head aggressively, accompanying the aggression with even more pointed jabs of: shake, shake, shake.
"I agree," Panda nods along with him. "Unless you want Gojo-sensei to be your witness, I suggest seeing if any of your former friends are in Tokyo now."
“Gojo-sensei?” Yuuta suddenly lights up. "So he can—"
Maki is on his heel right away. "No." She points her chopsticks at him defiantly. "You're not listening. This is a special grade ceremony. It's not like middle school graduation where we sit there for hours and stand up only once we’re called. This is an initiation of sorts. They'll make you do things, parade you around, show you off to the higher-ups. On top of that there's the actual initiation part."
"And what's that?" Yuuta grimaces.
Maki shrugs. "No one knows. It's different for everyone is what I was told. But that's why having a witness you trust is important."
"What did Gojo-sensei do?"
Maki turns to look at Panda. “Yaga still won't tell me to this day," he rolls his eyes, defeated. "Ieiri-san won't talk about it. For either of their initiation."
"Does it.." Yuuta starts unsurely. "Hurt?"
Maki thinks on it. "No, I don't think so," she says finally, easing some of his worry. "It's just really personal."
-
"So," Panda drawls, looking over at him through the rim of his book. "Did you do it?"
They were somewhere along the third floor of the library, having been sent by Ijichi to procure reference texts for a future mission. Yuuta, unlike the rest, didn't grow up with all of this drilled into his brain and assimilated into his life at a young age. He might have "moved up the ranks faster than a Heian god" as Panda always like to boast in lieu of an introduction with other sorcerers their age, but really, he was just a few months old mentally. A stranger to what was common sense for them, breathing for them as it was gasping for air for him.
Yuuta was looking over a textbook distractedly. "Do what?"
Panda waggles his eyebrows. "You know."
"Know what, Panda," Yuuta tore his eyes away from the book. He really did wake up on the wrong side of the bed today. "Feel like sharing it with the class?"
"See I know there was a violent streak in you somewhere," Panda whistled. "And yet she sees none of it."
Yuuta narrows his eyes. "She who?"
Panda's grin spread wider, absolutely maniacal now. "You know who."
It's times like this Yuuta is reminded of how much of Panda's childhood he spent with Gojo. He can see the telltale signs of humor playing around his eyes, the jesting lilt in his voice, and now: the annoying know-it-all attitude.
Yuuta shoves the scroll back harsher than needed, the wood splintering beneath it.
"Shut up."
-
There are exactly three sakura petals lined up on the pavement, Yuuta notes. It's not often the juxtaposition gets to him: brutal this new world was, softer, somehow; he had gotten. It's hard to make heads of the whole thing, this new body and new soul and new strength. But even harder, Yuuta thinks, when he sees exactly three stripes of a scar lining down Maki's arm: but also softer, somehow, when she corrects his form and is suddenly too close and he can smell the faint jasmine on her.
-
"Just ask her already," Panda urges. "The worst she can do is say no."
Yuuta has half the mind to throw the katana on his shoulder his way. Panda was usually the most talkative of them all, yes, Inumaki a surprisingly close second if the constant waku waku and takana takana he supplied during their conversations were anything to go by. Maki usually had a few choice words to say, Yuuta even fewer.
But Panda as of late was giving Gojo a run for his money with how much he exercised his right to free speech.
"Like I get it," Panda continues, oblivious to the warring in his mind and the obvious ominous aura wafting off him. They were on their way back from a late night run to the konbini, Inumaki suddenly wanting to scarf down actual onigiri and Maki craving ice cream. If she hadn't even finished her sentence and Yuuta was already up and shrugging a jacket on, she didn't say anything. But ofcourse Panda does. "She can be a little intimidating at first. That damn sword doesn't really help either, and we've told her countless times—"
"Told her what?"
Panda blinks. "The sword. It doesn't help."
"Doesn't help with what?"
Again Panda blinks. "Well," he starts. "With attracting other—"
Yuuta stops dead in the middle of his tracks.
"Oh," he says, and then: "I see."
Panda is absolutely howling now, deep timbre reverberating off the forest and echoing all throughout the night. Yuuta is now sure just a small nick in his pampered fur wouldn't do much harm. The howling continues well past until midnight, when they reach the dorms to find Inumaki binge-watching Psycho Pass and Maki sleeping in Yuuta's bed, snuggled up in his covers.
Right then, Yuuta blushed, He had to get to work.
-
"So then what do I do?"
Yuuta is being hauled somewhere across Harajuku, bright purikura stalls and bubble tea shops lining down the pathway. Nobara linked her arms with him, mindlessly—if not a little aggressively—dragging him from shop to shop in hopes of finding "Maki's super special initiation ceremony gift". Because apparently that was also a thing. Because apparently now you don't just suddenly come up to someone and ask them for a favor: there were now rules to it, specific talking points and beats to pass, and optics to check for.
Yuuta came to Nobara for help, having heard from Yuji how good she was at this sort of thing. What sort of thing, Megumi had asked, lounging around his bed and overhearing their conversation. Making you do what she wants, Yuji replied.
"Is this all really necessary?"
Yuuta points to the third shopping bag Nobara had unceremoniously thrown at him to carry, adding to the growing pile of favor gifts his wallet was crying for. This time it was a spear-shaped kanzashi, a hair ornament meant for special occasions that Nobara argued was absolutely and unnegotiably essential if he was going to parade Maki around like glorified eye candy.
"That's not—" Yuuta starts. "I'm not—"
"Enough theatrics, Okkotsu," Nobara holds up a hand, ignoring his mortified gasp at the lack of honorific. "You want her yes or not?"
-
And so that's how Yuuta came to be at the end of the night, bone-tired from walking the entirety of Koenji and having gone to just about every takagi omiyage shop in Tokyo to browse for the perfect gift, in front of Maki's room.
"You got all this is all for me?"
Maki is wearing nothing but a baggy oversized shirt and sleep shorts, and Yuuta is breathless.
"Um," he flounders, setting down the bags in his signature clumsiness. He was really not at his finest hour. "I mean—if it's too much—"
"No girl will ever think any gift is too much," Maki hums, picking up the smallest bag of the bunch. Yuuta's breath sharpens. She managed to choose the singular item he chose himself, Nobara having vetoed nearly every single one of his ideas. Already, he's regretting insisting on this one.
Maki opens the lid of the box. She's without words for maybe five seconds too long for his comfort and Yuuta can't make out the expression on her face. His hands already reaching for it. "I can take that back if you—"
Maki slaps his hands away. "No way!" She brings the furin wind chime closer to her, the bell inside chiming. "No take backs!"
Yuuta blinks. "You like it?"
"Oh, Yuuta," Maki says, sounding breathless in a way that makes the hair on his arms stand up. "I love it."
Yuuta's entire body sags in relief. "Oh thank God," he breathes out. "I had help choosing most of this, but, well. You know. I'm not exactly hip."
Maki just smiles softly, still looking over wind chime and running her hands over them. "But why though?"
"Why what?"
Maki gestures to the mounting pile of paper bags on her feet. "What's with all the gifts?"
"Well see—" Yuuta says, tense again. "That's cause—" he stops, collecting himself. "I—I wanted to ask you for a favor."
If he wasn’t looking at her so closely, he would’ve missed it he’s sure, that small twinkle in her eye.
"What favor?"
"Will you come with me to the ceremony next week?"
"Oh," Maki says, and then smiles, wicked. "I thought you'd never ask."

//It's been a while and a lot has been happening the past couple of months that pretty much affected my activity on here more than before that I apologize for this very lengthy sudden hiatus. Well, I can't say it's a hiatus I guess especially when I can't say I've officially returned to roleplay, so I'm pretty much hopping in here when I have the vibe to write or not or until I feel like I really want to come back and keep motivated to write. Just a lot of shit that affected my own mental health and all that I didn't find the need to hop on here and focus my writing. But the situations is a whole different thing that I don't think I'd want to talk about today. The past posts I've had on here are pretty much my queue so I haven't posted them myself on a daily basis. But I have peeked in here and there to see what goes on but I feel like I've missed out on a lot lol. Also, I've done some thinking and decided to drop a few muses considering I have little/don't have any muse for them anymore.
Mirabel, Rika, Catherine and Rikku. I'm debating on Xion and Frisk to drop too but I just can't bring myself to do it just yet.

“What the hell is she wearing?” Kai asked, looking out toward the foyer. I followed his gaze, seeing Rika enter and hand her coat to the attendant. She wore sleep shorts with avocados all over them and a matching shirt that read I Avo Crush On You. Michael started laughing under his breath, shaking his head. “I can’t believe she still has those pajamas. My mom gave them to her when she was like fifteen, and I felt so bad for her. But she wore ’em anyway. That’s what she must’ve gone back home for today, I guess.” He walked over to her, and she tried to hide her embarrassed smile as he scooped her up in his arms and laughed with her.
an expert from hideaway
so this is penelope using banks as a vessel to express how much rika is not like other girls
and this too
“I love you guys,” Michael said, “but are you fucking dense? You’re my friends. She is everything. Maybe someday you’ll know what the fuck I’m talking about.”
im so mad because this bitch michael had an entire goddamn book to confess his undying love to his girlfriend but he doesnt. he is a complete a hole in corrupt and penelope said thats just the way he is built so WHY is this bitch acting lovey dovey all of a sudden and ruining and taking time away from the MCs of the book?
if i have to list out all the instances where michael and erika ruined the show in hideaway then i have to copy paste the whole book.
so basically i felt it when the anons said erika was present in places she shouldn't be and should just get lost
Yeah, the Avocado pajama scene sort of felt like a “Rika’s not like those other girls who wear lingerie to a party; she’s quirky and ironic” message. I try to give PD the benefit of the doubt and say they saw the shirt and wanted to put Rika in it.
I mean, it definitely wasn’t going to be Banks walking around with an avocado pun on her shirt.
(although, what a funny sleepover idea. Like Rika wants to have a girl's night, and she creates these little gift baskets for Banks, Winter, and Em and each one has a pajama set with a quirky pun on it that's specific to each girl's taste. I don't know what they'd be, but the image in my head of Rika forcing Banks into an ironic pun pajama set and forcing all of them to take a picture is marvelous.)
I personally like the “She is everything” scene and I think the series need more of them, with some variation of course. The other couples deserved to have some sort of declaration scenes. It didn’t need to be to the group, but I felt that it was missing a lot of the time.
taking time away from the MCs of the book?
Well, I don’t mind that Michael and Rika show up and having an effect on other parts of the series. My issue comes in with the roles they play. I think Rika (and the others that we’ve all already discussed) had too big of a role throughout the rest of the series to the point that it felt imbalanced.
And I don’t mind that the scene happened a year later. I feel like this has probably been building between Michael and Kai for a while as Kai overstepped his bounds with Rika time and time again. It was actually kind of refreshing to see Michael take Rika’s side and defend her, even from his best and closest friend; even from someone who’s not even really a threat and he knows it.
Idk, this is one scene I don’t fault Michael for. I will say that it might have been better from Kai’s POV vs. Banks, just narratively speaking, but’s small potatoes.

If I remember right scarnoa's main outfit is miriam's hand me downs right? Since she's basically adopted by the entire school staff are any of the other teachers contributing to her wardrobe?
The first set she gets are hand-me-downs, since Scarnoa's on the petite side, but Mimi eventually just buys her actual clothes - like new stuff that fits her super well. And the old stuff just becomes casual lounge wear of sort, since it's very comfy.
Raifort actually got Scarnoa the boots. Heard her lecturing Jacq for his chanclas (sandals) in the lab and thought it was hilarious, and just decided "have these boots. It's on me." Thank you for entertaining her by making a man know fear.
Tyme went all out on making sure that she got Scarnoa some quality tights and a nice thermal turtleneck that she KNOWS her sister wears at the Montenevera Gym, where there is snow and it's cold, and Ryme is knocking it out of the park in her dress. :V
Keeps Scarnoa's legs nice and toasty without having to really change much of her uniform wear. good for the Autumn uniform. Except she rarely wears the damn school uniform so oop.
Saguaro got her the thigh highs after she asked for some, because the sock catalog DIDNT have them and she WANTED them. Because tights are nice, but she doesn't WANT tights.
But also, Mimi's being doing so much for her, that she didn't want to bother her. and Saguaro also likes cute stuff too, so she's all "do you know where I can get some cute socks? The one that go up to the thigh?"
She's got a few more colors and patterns besides solid black, but yeah, that's something. Living the dream I wish I could have in this game sob sob.
Salvatore gives her hair accessories that his wife has been picking out, because she's been hearing a lot about the child that the school has collectively adopted.
And Jacq gave her a cute phone cases (and more) for her efforts but also as an apology for setting her off with his terrible lab habits. Please go easy on him, he literally just got hired alongside Clavell after they left their previous positions as researchers, where Jacq was Clavell's assistant (fun fact: this is probably why I see a lot of Jacq/Clavell art on pixiv, so...good for them - especially Clavell, get it old man. You somehow managed to land one of the handful of Pokemon characters that made the 2022 Yumejoshi popularity poll, in which Arven was #5 and Rika was #1, beating both Getou and Gojo - Volo was #38 and Steven, despite all these years, was #77...ftr, Jacq was #85)
(I didn't know the ship existed until I saw it at the side while I was looking up Larry/Rika on Pixiv, and then went "INTERESTING."...*adds it to my list of ships*)
Dendra is still looking for the perfect gift - it might not even be clothes, but just battle items, BUT SHE'S TRYING.
And Hassel contributed to MANY of Scarnoa's living expenses, because of how SUDDEN she appeared. And obviously, he's got the funds, so he just... "Here's your room."
Will find out what she likes and proceed to sent it to her room, like random plushes, figurines, cute curtains and throw rugs....want a different wallpaper? Here's a catalogue - pick what you want.
Hassel is genuinely still choked up about Scarnoa's situation, like...where are her parents??? IS SHE OKAY???
"Did I make you mad?" because she missed out on one of his math classes, only to find out that "oh, you got a badge." and then he immediately nyooms to the next gym the instant he gets a notification to congratulate her and give her a headpat, BECAUSE SHE IS STILL PLAYING HOOKY, GOD DAMN.
later finds out she just has shit memory, and that she still is attending school. Eases his concerns, but also, "Try not to get hurt - your Rotom Phone has an app for these sorts of things. It's excellent for keeping you on task, should you get distracted with thing such as the fineries of art."
She says she'll use it, and then promptly forgets about it until Hassel sets it up herself...and then her Rotom Phone decides "Nah, TOO LOUD."
Because each Rotom inside one's phone is unique and has its own personalities, so if you have one that clashes with you, you can either switch with someone else...or deal with it. Most people choose to deal with it because by that point, they're attached to that Rotom like people get attached to Roombas. :V

Chapter 1: Number 12
"You can't! You can't do this to us! What will we do?! Where will we go?! Think about it please!" A girl begged. Her father was sick. Their own relatives refused to help them and had kicked them because of the father's sickness.
"I don't care! I'm giving you another day if no one comes to help you,LEAVE!What am I saying? Ofcourse no one will be here and no one can save you,so just leave right now!" The man laughed at their condition. "You'll die! Hopefully" the girl shouted making the man's blood boil,he raised his hand to slap the girl.
"Oh no, no, no! She wouldn't like it if you hurt women,Hmm I see you're weak, you chose to hurt a young girl" a boy of about 24 grabbed his hand tightly. He looked at the girl. "It's alright he can't hurt you" he assured her. The door of the room opened. A young woman clapped her hands. "Now,now! No need to go anywhere, I'm here to help you,Rika Kaito" she spoke with a beautiful smile on her face.
The other woman was very beautiful she had beautiful red hair and violet eyes. Her face was as white as snow and the way she smiled she looked even more prettier. "She's here" The boy said. He had brown hair and red eyes. He was as white as the foam of the sea. He was indeed very handsome.
"Sebastian if you're gonna fight him then please take it outside and keep it low" She told him. "As you say,Yuna" he said. "Who are you? How do you know my name?" Rika questioned her. She was very much shocked as she had all of a sudden walked in and decided to help her. "My name is Yuna,Yuna Kaze, I'm 22 currently." She answered her "I know you because I can find out about people,Iam 'Cursed' and I believe I can help you." The old man pointed at Yuna "Who is she,Rika?" He asked. "I'm your 12th doctor" she smiled again. Rika's eyes widened she was again shocked at how she knew everything. "You can't save me" The man responded. Yuna chuckled,"Mr. Kaito don't worry, I'm telling you you're gonna be okay, at it, Mizu! (The water curse)" she commanded. "What do you need me to do,Lady Yuna?" It questioned. She replied "Heal him, fully."
Sebastian called her "Yuna!" Mizu looked back. She snapped her fingers twice "Over there" she pointed at the old man. She walked outside. "What do you need, Sebastian?"she asked in a low voice. "He's disrespecting you,can I kill him?" "No-"Sebastian interrupted Yuna, "But Yuna he disrespects you!" "No buts, come with me." Yuna grabbed his hand and dragged him with her. "Oh Yuna you're, amazing" he blushed. "Idiots! You both definitely belong to a family of MANIACS!" the man shouted. She looked down and pulled up her right sleeve. Her hand was covered with bandages. She loosened her bandages. "Kaze(wind curse)"she called him. It seemed as if a bright white monster was guarding her. "I'll need your help,Kaze" she smiled at him. "As you say Lady Yuna" it replied. Yuna absorbed Kaze.
She took one step towards the man and in a second she was behind him. She tapped on his shoulder which caused him to turn around. Yuna looked at him coldly and smiled. She punched him which sent him flying. She walked back to Sebastian. "Let's go inside,Bastiano" "Hold my hand or else I'll be lost" He whispered in her ear making her blush. "Y-you remind me of someone, always lost" she chuckled softly before she held his hand. They walked to Rika hand in hand.
"Feeling better Mr. Kaito?" She asked him. "Yes,I even feel energetic now" He answered Yuna. "I'm glad I could help"She smiled once again. Mizu turned to look at her. "Yeah,Good work Mizu!" She looked at him "Rika, here's my number if you need help and you have a house at the corner of Street 24 right? I got it back for you"She gave her the key.
"Let's go Yunie!" Sebastian pulled her closer. "Wait! Miss Yuna!" Rika called her causing Yuna to turn around. "Why did you help us?"She asked. "That's what I am Kind to kind and evil to evil-" "Kind to Evil too!"Sebastian interrupted making Yuna smack his head. "I came here for My Missing Piece" She explained "Let's go Seb"
They walked out of the hospital. The man was trying to keep. The girl looked at him and walked past him. "Let's get some Hot chocolate!" Yuna suggested. "It's so good and when the flavours melt on the tongue" "Okay Let's go" "Yuna?" Someone called her....

Dec. 24, 2017
Tumblr media
You make yourself comfortable on the rooftop, debating if you should go ahead and text your brother. He would be almost as disappointed as you were; Satoru had taken to calling himself the captain of your ship with Yuta and Toge, even coming up with a nickname that incorporated shortened versions of all three names. You sigh, deciding it’s probably best to not text him. He’s likely already worried about leaving you in charge, no need to add a worry about something that isn’t deadly.
A sudden yell disrupts your thoughts and you jump into position, nocking an arrow and aiming towards the scream. You hitch your breath at the sight: Geto is striding into your school alone, leaving a trail of headless assistants behind him. One of the bodies is familiar and you recognize her as the assistant that gave you chocolate with a bright smile after a mission with unfortunate timing left you covered in curse blood and your own. She didn't flinch or offer pity - just a single chocolate kiss. Now she is covered in gore and blood, her previously pristine white shirt coated with her own brain matter.
You feel your resolve hardens. Geto is a curse-user, a human at his core, but he also is a monster. The arrow flies an accurate course but the man dodges, leaving it to embed itself into the wall instead of his torso. He turns to your rooftop, calling out, “Ah, (y/n)! And here I thought your brother would lock you in a tower.” Geto unleashes a grade-one curse that looks similar to a wolf and sends it after you. He is infuriatingly unbothered by your presence and continues his steady gait into the school grounds.
You start running across the rooftops, jumping over gaps and dodging the curse’s attempts to bite you. The rooftop tiles bite into your hands and knees. It faintly registers that a nail broke when you almost missed a jump, narrowly avoiding falling to the ground.
Satoru didn’t say how long to keep this secret, but you assume now is a good time to give Maki and Yuta a heads-up. You spot Maki stepping away from a classroom, so you run there, drawing the curse after you. On the roof next to where she stands, you plant your feet and turn, suddenly drawing your katana and slicing at the wolf. It draws back, avoiding your attack before lunging suddenly. Its claws sink into your leg. You cry out in pain, falling to your knees. When the curse lunges again, this time aiming for your throat, you fall on your back and thrust your blade into its stomach. You force the blade down its body with a grunt, disemboweling the creature. The teeth around your throat loosen, but the dead weight of the curse dropping on you prevents you from getting up immediately. Guts slide out and onto you and you suppress a gag. You feel a lot like Carrie on prom night.
When you finally stagger to your feet, you see Maki has engaged Geto in a fight that she’s obviously losing. You cry her name and rush to her side. She doesn’t get a chance to acknowledge you as Geto, in one fluid moment, breaks her weapon and sends her flying. She falls to the ground as a ragdoll, bleeding heavily from her side and head. You watch her body land, horrified, before you’re snapped back into the fight rudely.
Geto is now the closest to you he’s been since you were a child, frightened and unable to communicate with the people around you. He feels some long-forgotten sense of pity as he slides the blade of his knife further into your stomach. “W-wh-?” You look at the handle sticking out of your body curiously, blood starting to leak from the corner of your mouth. The pain hasn’t begun to register but your body understands that you are unable to fight. You faint, missing the entrance of Panda and Toge by a few precious seconds.
When Yuta comes out from the classroom, he isn’t sure what he’s expecting to find. He felt a few earthquakes and thought it best to find you and Maki to wait out any aftershocks together. Yuta was sure it was to be a little awkward after his rejection, but also wanted to be sure you were okay. He didn’t expect to find you covered in blood, the same cute gym clothing you were wearing that morning when he rejected you ruined. A quick glance around and he sees the rest of his classmates, his friends, in similar form. Inumaki is clinging to consciousness.
Geto, the one who grabbed Yuta months earlier, stands surrounded by the bodies, hardly winded. “I truly wanted you to live, Okkotsu, but this is for the future of jujutsu.” Yuta wonders how he can fight this man. How can he protect his friends, the only ones to give him a chance since Rika, when Geto already destroyed the strongest people he knew. He was so, so weak compared to each of them.
Inumaki desperately calls a slurred version of his name and says, “Run away.” The fact that the command does nothing, that Yuta feels nothing, breaks him from his spiral. He summons Rika in a rage.
“I am going to kill you!” He declares. Yuta doesn’t think he has ever felt such anger and despair, the feeling of watching Rika die now multiplied by four.
Geto simply says, “You are going to die.”
-
A sudden pull on your stomach wakes you harshly. “Shit!” Your eyes snap open, to see a sheepish Panda holding the knife that was previously in your stomach. You automatically go to apply pressure on the wound but your hands find Maki’s already there, dressing the wound. “What happened?”
“The fight’s over, but we need to find Yuta,” Maki explains. “He must have healed all of us, but you still had the blade in you. It needed to be removed before you get up. All of us are going to be fine, (y/n), you can rest now.” She helps you to your feet and you cringe looking at your ruined outfit. Maki catches your pout and smiles, glad some things never change.
Toge comes to your side to take Maki’s place as your crutch. You hug him tightly, unable to express in words how relieved you are. He hugs back, equally overwhelmed after seeing what seemed like your corpse. Toge helps you limp along as you all start tracking Yuta’s residuals. Panda clears his throat and asks, “When did this happen?”
“Only a few days ago. Don’t act like you didn’t see this coming,” you explain with an eye-roll.
“No, I totally did. Just curious who won the bet.”
“If we didn’t just fight for our lives, I would kill you.” You four continue to try to have a light conversation until you come upon Yuta’s unconscious body. Toge helps you sit on the ground and you move his head onto your lap, muttering about checking for a concussion. All of you needed medical attention but you were desperate to help any way you could now.
Yuta begins to blink his eyes open and sits up urgently. “Your wounds… Panda! Your arm!” He seems to be working himself into a frenzy. You place a comforting hand on his shoulder as Panda explains that everyone will be okay. Yuta urgently looks over you, trying to determine how much blood was yours, before he seems satisfied.
“Thank you for saving us,” You whisper. His eyes fill with tears and you wonder how scared he must have been. You maintain eye contact, hoping to communicate how much you admire him, before Rika’s jumbled voice makes the both of you jump. Yuta stands, leaving the circle your class formed around him.
“Sorry to keep you waiting, Rika,” he says, approaching her.
“What’s wrong?” Maki asks, a little fearful at how resigned Yuta looks.
Yuta hums a little before answering, “In exchange for her power, I promised to go with her.”
“What?” You screech and the suddenness of the yell pains your wound. Your classmates join a chorus of disagreement. Panda and Inumaki both grab fistfuls of his shirt to prevent him from walking any closer to Rika. Instead of her usual retaliation for someone restraining Yuta, her form just falls away to reveal a young girl. Four of you are confused but Yuta just mumbles, “Rika?”
A clapping distracts from the drama. You turn as best you can with a hole in your stomach to see your brother without any eye wear approaching your group. “Congrats. You broke the curse,” he continues to clap and stands next to you.
“Who’re you?” Yuta and Maki ask, causing you to snort before you groan at the pain.
Your brother pouts before replying, “Everyone’s favorite good-looking Gojo-sensei. Do you not see the sibling resemblance?” He gestures between your face and his, before carefully putting you on his back. He doesn’t even flinch at the grime covering you transferring onto him as well, relieved to see you awake and alert. You rest your chin on his shoulder and listen to him explain.
“I thought Yuta was interesting, so I looked into his lineage. Apparently, you’re a descendant of Michizane Sugawara. So, super-distant, but we’re relatives!” You groan and hide your face in Satoru’s neck; the teasing to come will be unbearable.
Your classmates look dumbfounded at the information while Yuta just goes, “Who?”
“One of Japan’s big three vengeful spirits.”
“A big-shot sorcerer.”
“Tuna.”
“The annoying side of the family,” you add.
Your brother takes back control of the conversation. “Yuta, you’re right. Rika isn’t cursing you, you cursed her. When the curser severs the bond tying servant to master and the cursed doesn’t desire punishment, the curse is broken. Though it seems you figured that out by yourself.” He gestures at the little girl and Yuta.
“Oh my god,” Yuta collapses in tears. “It’s all my fault…. Hurting so many people, Geto coming after me, it’s all my - all my -” He begins to hyperventilate. Inumaki takes a step to comfort him, but before he can, Rika approaches and hugs his trembling form.
“Thank you, Yuta. For giving me time and letting me be by your side. I’ve been happier these past six years than I ever was alive. Good-bye, be well. And don’t come over too soon, ‘kay?” She gives a bright smile, toothy and pure as she dissolves into bright ashes. Yuta stares at where she stood, long after all the ashes disappeared and everyone else walked away.
“See you,” He says to himself, before getting up to follow his friends to Doctor Ieiri.

Saeran’s Diary
Spoilers for Saeran’s Diary. It’s within the Special Believer package. Not all of the pages are here. I’ve compiled the ones that looked the most note-worthy to talk about but I will summaries and talk about everything in this post.
Okay, so Spoilers Ahead, read at your own caution. It’s Spoilers for Another Story, V Route, Ray Route, and the After Ending.
Tumblr media
Saeran introduces himself to the diary even though he has no idea how to use one of these. Saeyoung got it from the Cathedral. His brother tells him that if he can’t think of anything to write, he could draw instead. Saeran spends a lot of his time drawing out things on the pages just as much as he spends talking about this or that. His handwriting is rather clumsy and messy, much more so than what a child his age would have.
However, he’s not in school and he’s roughly only been able to learn a few rudimentary things thanks to his brother.
Saeyoung spends a lot of time at the cathedral. He’s been taking countless notes in his books. He’s literally been coping things to learn from the books that he can get his hands on. He’s got four of them, as far as Saeran knows. He has some of Saeyoung’s notes in his journal because he asked him what he was writing about all the time. He’s perplexed, saying that those coding notes look like they’re...
Puzzles?
He doesn’t know.
Saeyoung takes him out for ice cream, and we can assume that’s when they made the promise on their ice cream to always be there for each other, knowing that there will be one day that they can escape together. You know, the one from Ray Route where we’re treated to their promise on twin-popsicles. It seems like Saeran is alone more and more often though. He’s spending so much time at the church.
There’s one day where he and Saeyoung are out that someone suspicious sees the two of them. Saeyoung gets them out of dodge, but it continues to haunt his mind for a while. He draws something really stark imagery. Then, Saeyoung is all of a sudden gone. He’s gone. Their mother demands that he find him but he cannot find him. He’s panicking. He thinks that maybe that man took his twin away and he may never come back.
He’s so alone.
He’s so scared.
He’s begging for someone to come and get him. He’s still fairly young here and out of sorts, but his emotions are rapidly increasing the longer that he’s alone in that house. Until one day, something changes.
Tumblr media
V and Rika come to take him to the cathedral more and more often. He’s spending a good amount of his time there because the two of them managed to convince Mother Choi that it was a good idea. Saeran has no idea how they did it or why they did it. He just knows that this is the place that Saeyoung went to once and that maybe he’ll be able to find him there? Then he talks about how he may be able to find him. Twin’s intuition?
That plays into the theme of the After Ending. How Saeran and Saeyoung can seemingly feel the other is alive, or that they’re okay. I think that’s kind of a really sweet thing to tie in like that. It’s like they’re connected when they’re not actually connected, and I don’t know if I’ll ever understand that connection since I’m not a twin but it stands out to me since Saeran is so hopeful for his brother again.
He spends more time in the sun and it feels good. He wishes Saeyoung was here. It’d be nice if they could live somewhere nice like this... where he could see the sun all the time. V said to him that Saeyoung was okay, he had a strong feeling about it. Saeran doesn’t know how to feel about that. He thinks it’s okay but... he wishes that Saeyoung would find him first. He’s him and I’m him, that’s what he says.
So, can’t they reach for one another...?
Saeran starts to spend all his time going to classes and learning things at the cathedral. He’s learning how to focus on his work, how to bake, and how to get his head in the right place for things that he’s enjoy. Like, for example, he talks about how his plan for the future would be to have an ice cream store not far from his house as he stays with Saeyoung. He really writes down recipes and his trial and errors. It’s so cute.
V gifts him a book about flowers and a good chunk of his diary is spent talking about them. He lists his favorites and some that stand out to him. There’s a photo that V took of him in the garden that you’ve likely seen before as he holds tightly to them with a smile. He talks about the life cycle of flowers as he tries to figure them out. He’s really thoughtful and spends an awful amount of time trying to learn how something so little makes something so big!
Tumblr media
I did not know that Rika and V had their own flowers. I’ve talked about these bookmarks before for Saeran and Saeyoung.
Geranium can be a wish for good health, hope that you pray that the other person will someday feel better and find peace. It makes sense that that is for Saeran because he was a young and sickly child for such a very long time, and this was a gift that said, we pray for you and you will grow to be a bigger flower in due time. You will not wilt and you will grow until you blossom into something that is lovely.
Rhododendron can be a sign of optimism, the hope that you have that the future ahead will be great. It makes sense that that was gifted to Saeyoung because he is the one that hinges on the hope that one day, he can save his brother and be sure that they are both free from their chains that have kept them down. This is a gift that says, never lose hope in yourself and those that you love when it feels like the end of coming.
Narcissus means rebirth and renewal because it's one of the earliest bulbs to sprout. We all know the story. Unable to look away from the water, Narcissus grew tired, fell into the stream, and drowned. Rika’s suicide is implied to be her falling from the edge of a cliffside and falling into the water down below. It’s their way of symbolism her final rebirth into someone finally relishing in her cruelty and devil to it’s fullest form.
Another popular story in mythology, Rhodanthe was someone so beautiful that people wouldn’t leave her alone. They were always at her heels and begging for her love. She turned them all down and grew so tired of them that she retreated and ran away to the Temple of Diana. Those suitors just wouldn’t quit, though, and because of that Diana decided to turn Rhodanthe in a rose and all of the suitors into the thorns of the flower. The implication here is that V and Rika are twisted together in a dangerous path, but it’s hard to tell who is the rose and who is the thorns here. Interesting.
Tumblr media
Here we go, huh? Rika gifts Saeran a book that she claims is the same one that his brother was reading. Saeran wants to be closer to him so he starts to learn and study what he can. He knows that he hid Saeyoung’s books for him so he has to get those from the house and he wants to use them to know more about who his brother is. It’s kind of hard, even Saeran claims that he’s struggling in all of this learning because it’s so much!
But, he says he can do it.
He’ll do it for Saeyoung.
We know why Rika is doing this, and we know where this is heading but I’m kind of like: I really don’t want to see how tortured my boy is about to be by this damn woman again. I continue onward to see how Saeran progressively learns as much as humanly possible as fast as he can. Okay, oh boy, he writes that he snuck out late at night to go to cathedral and nobody is usually there, but Rika was there tonight.
He was perplexed by why she was looking at the wall of photos that contained each child that attended the church and did their studies there. He says that it felt wrong. He felt like he couldn’t speak. Something felt twisted and wrong in his chest but he stayed. He’s not even spending a lot of time with V and Rika at the cathedral up until this point. They just check on him now and again... until now, Rika seems to be more forward.
She’s been giving him extra lessons and things to do.
“It looked like she wanted to tell me something.”
She didn’t though.
Here’s one continuity error, though. Saeran knows that his mother passed away and she even had a funeral in this diary. He said that nobody came. Not their father, not their brother, nobody. There was nobody in the world to come for his mother’s passing but him and V and Rika. It’s just him and Saeyoung. His twin isn’t there but this is his only family. His only family. He missed his brother. He wishes he was there.
He knows that his mother is dead but he doesn’t know how she died. I’m bit confused on that front. I’ll go and glance at his speech during the AE to know if it’s an error or not. Okay, so, they imply that Mother Choi never got a proper funeral. I think that means that you know, the one that Saeran held as a child wasn’t a real one by any meaning. It’s just a small ceremony.
I almost want to say that the fucking trauma of Mint Eye destroyed more and more of his memory as a young child because it implies also in this diary that he does talk to some of the others at the cathedral sometimes, but not often.
So, it could be an error, or it’s literally that the specific memory of that time at the cathedral isn’t accessible to him. It makes sense, though. Ray and Suit held a lot of their own memories and it feels like there’s other pieces that they’re missing in their lives. It still doesn’t take away from the fact that Saeran didn’t know how she died. Or that Rika burned the house down with V.
Or that they both hid the fucking body.
This is just the one thing of interest in the diary that doesn’t make sense unless I apply my theory that he cannot remember that incident. Either way, he makes a prayer to God about Saeyoung on the page after that. He says that he wants to be strong. He wants to be as strong as Saeyoung. Let him have that.
Rika tricks him not long after this. “Come and meet me late at night. I want to give V a surprise.” He’s noticed that the two of them have been having a really difficult time lately, he thought they weren’t on good terms since they weren’t visiting together. This is literally after the trauma of the murder, self-defense or not, they had to remove a body and worse.
That added to how bad their relationship already was. This was Rika’s turning point, after all. Saeran’s a child. He just thinks they’re going to make up and get better? He wants to help them because they helped him.
But this is a trick.
Tumblr media
He spoke to Rika that briefly and then he went home. Someone grabbed him, and before he could fight, he was taken off the streets. It wasn’t Rika, but my money says that it was someone working for her to do the dirty work. He has no clue it’s Rika or anything for a while. He’s locked in a dark room. There’s not a lot in it but it seems like it was prepared for someone to stay in it. He’s scared, they leave him there. He banged on the door over and over, but nobody would listen to him.
Days pass.
He’s left with some notes about Mint Eye to read that make no sense to him but he’s trying to understand what they mean. How long is he going to be stuck in a room like this? Nothing makes sense! He gets fed every day, and he thinks that is okay.
He’s trapped but he has food. It’s not so bad.. right?
Nobody came to see him until the fourth day. He was taken away to what we can presume is the basement. He doesn’t know what’s happening here, but he just stares, slack-jawed at Rika in the basement as he lifts his head.
She’s wearing a mask.
But, there’s no doubt.
It’s Rika.
Tumblr media
He begged for answers but she would barely tell him what was happening in this place. She just says that V is a traitor and a liar to him. She said that he should call her his Savior. By the 11th day, they’re literally drugging through the food as time passes. He says that things don’t taste right but I know what that means as it’s the easiest way to poison someone over time.
I imagine that this is slowly happening as they’re starting to torture him with the elixir outright not long after this.
He’s clearly confused and losing time the more that he tries to think because these are written on snippets as he’s trying to make sense of what’s going on around him. He’s hurting. He’s in pain. Nothing makes sense and he’s having a hard time dealing with being awake and eating these days. It just gets worse and worse as time passes for him.
I don’t think I have to explain what this looks like:
Tumblr media
He’s literally terrified out of his fucking mind. He’s not able to focus and this is a point in the timeline where Ray takes control of the situation. Saeran cannot be awake anymore and Ray wakes up. This child has suffered enough already and Ray needs to be here to do this. His anger... his confusion. It’s played out in front of us as he loses himself and Ray takes control of everything that’s going on from now on.
This is where the scraps end and Ray’s official diary begins.
Yeah, this is actually a portion of the diary that I’ve seen before. It’s that proof that Rika is the one that dressed Ray. He would prefer to wear dark things but she says that he’s not good enough. He feels gloomy, he would have preferred something gloomy but Rika said no. Her reasoning is that he’s not strong and he needs to wear something vibrant to feel stronger.
To feel more needed.
He isn’t sure how to feel about that. He just says that Savior knows best and this is okay. I love his outfit but I know that’s uneasy about it. His gloves are rather tight on his hands so they can keep him from overextending his fingers and not get them to lock or have fractures from working so hard. He’s typing at a speed that not even I can manage so.
He needs the support.
No gloves slander about Ray, I know they’re half-gloves and bother some of you but it suits him. And, not to gush about Ray but there’s just so much Ray in this portion of the diary and you know I’m a massive Ray fan. Rika forces hm to do all of the security work. He spends like a week trying to make the system better but he’s hardly sleeping to do it. He’s the one that made the card system, as well, for both Rika and for others.
He’s the one that grants access to anyone that is a believer.
Certain people have certain powers. Rika can go anywhere, he can go to some places, and others... limited access. She “gifts” him the often of being able to help design the garden. He does pick a handful of flowers that he thinks are nice to decorate the garden and it’s the one thing that actually makes him feel good in comparison to security hell.
Though, we start to see him planning for the RFA Messenger as well. That’s not looking really good. Rika tells him what they’re going to be doing and that they have a grand plan that she needs him for. He’s so desperate for someone to see him and give him affection that he’s willing to fall to her feet and cry. He doesn’t know if he deserves this chance. He beats himself up over and over about it but takes it.
He can’t say no to Rika.
He’s literally crying because she told him that she wants him to do something for her. I’m not a vicious person but if given the chance, I would slap Rika one good time. I just need one time. I realize violence doesn’t solve anything, but I don’t know if I could hold myself back if I saw her treating him like this.
It’s just not okay and I can’t stand it. No matter how you feel about Rika, when you read and see shit like this, you get angry at her for what she’s done to this child. Saeran was a child.
He was a child who trusted her and V.
Goddammit.
He was a CHILD.
He’s sleeping three hours. Max. That’s not okay. He’s chugging caffeine pills like they’re Tic-Tacs. Ray, honey, baby, darling, they’re not Tic-Tacs. That’s not okay at all. It’s actually blotted out. I don’t know what he’s eating. I don’t know how many he’s eating. I knew that he was popping like them candy to stay up and at his desk, but Jesus Christ, Ray. The space implies that it’s a high number, it could be double-digits.
If it’s more than 15, I don’t know what I’m going to do.
He’s not even eating right. Food that’s easy to eat. Okay, that’s why he eats chocolate most of the time. He’s eating snack foods when he’s eating and only using real food if he has time. [He never has time. It makes me want to cry as I read it because I wanted to grab him by the wrist and ask him to stay during the meals because I don’t really eat more than what a toddler eats due to my health and he could have the rest. He needs it.]
I love this guy, but I can see his suffering here.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I don’t know if you’ve seen this but he ranks the RFA on a sliding scale of how tough they are to defeat and how easy they are to defeat. Seven and V have the strongest list. V is to be captured alive and that you have to be cautious so he doesn’t trick you.
Seven is “No need. Discard.”
I have to ask Ray what the hell a “honey trap” is though, as far as Zen goes in his explaination. Does that mean that Ray is saying “If there’s a pretty honey, he’ll fall to his knees?” RAY?
RAY?????
RAY??????????????
Jumin: Attack social status. Just take his fucking cat.
Yoosung: Rika. Just use Rika information or threaten his family.
Jaehee: Break C&R. If it or Jumin falls, she’s easy. Not sure.
Oh, and there’s actually recipes in his portion of the diary as well. He has a lot of sweet things listed and God, he would get me. He literally makes notes about a tester in this. He has to jot down who would be a good idea and how he could ensure their happiness. He says that he’s not as good as the chef in Mint Eye but he wants to be good enough.
So, he actually tries to learn how to make things for us. He failed at making ice cream. He made some progress at brunch and he tried to make some cake but it wasn’t quite up to par yet. He notes his mistakes and says that he’ll keep trying to learn for the tester. So, that’s how he’s spending his six months.
Tumblr media
His final note in this journal is hopeful of the tester. He’s got everything as it needs to be but he needs his tester to come to him. He hopes they’re a good person but he doesn’t know how to interact with them. He wonders how he should start talking to them, anyway. How do you talk to people on the outside? He doesn’t know... maybe an introduction?
Should he greet you?
Should he try harder?
He really fixates on how to say hi to you.
He decides simple is good.
“Hello! My name is Ray.”
And if you turn the page, you’re smacked with that photo and my knees just went a little weak. Oh boy, honey, darling, I love you. I’m sorry that you’ve suffered so much but it’s okay. I’m here! We’ll get out of this place together soon. All and all, this was a solid read that gave me a lot more perspective on my boy. There’s still a bit of information in Rika’s Diary, to be honest. But this stood out more to me here.

Roots Intertwined
Hi! I’m absolutely honored to have had such a wonderful artist to work with in @mysme-rbb : Loli! Their art style is spectacular and it is a perfect visual for the story below. Check out Loli’s Instagram HERE! ^^
Note: I posted this before, but accidentally pressed the wrong button and deleted the original post. If you could leave a note to build it back up to what it was, that would be lovely!
Warnings: some implied reference to neglect and abuse, spoilers for Rika’s Behind Story, religion
Finally. A moment alone with my thoughts. That was rare.
As quiet and serene the ancient walls of the cathedral were, it was rare to find a moment of peace.
Perhaps “peace” is a loose term. Peace can be defined in countless ways, flexible from person to person. One thing is universal – everyone gets peace of mind from security, from support, from compassion. Peace of mind is one thing, but surviving is entirely different. Too much security is dangerous.
I had learned that early on. No matter what happens - or whoever enters my life - that mindset will always be with me. It protects me. That is the only thing I know for sure in this world.
V tells me that he is my security, the one I can trust, the one I can love - my Sun.
V tells me he will help me rid of the darkness in my mind.
I want to believe him. I want to trust him. I want to love him as much as he loves me. I want to be worthy enough for the handsome, sentimental man that had so sincerely promised his life to me.
A part of me wants to embrace the darkness that I pushed away for so long. Is that so wrong?
The all-too-familiar feeling of dread washed over me. I suddenly saw Mina, curled up on a church pew. The screeching voice of Mother - of the Pastor - berading every thought that could have spun the flashback away.
“This is just a ritual to cleanse the devil from you-”
“Serena, you’re possessed by Satan-”
“This thing will spread its germs! Dear Lord, smite this fiend out of this place-”
“Begone!”
“Satan!”
“I need your help, good people of God!”
A small, trembling hand reached to point at the Preacher, tears streaming.
“Amen, amen...”
Though a million different phrases raced through young Mina’s mind, nothing dared escape her lips. Mina was silenced. Serena was silenced.
“Lord, protect us from this Satan!”
I was silenced.
“Do something about her! The Satan might reach out to us, too...!”
“Get her! Now!”
Silenced. Restrained. Helpless.
Slowly - painfully - the image of Mina soon began to shift. Mina’s emerald doe eyes faded into vibrant golden ones, filled with the same amount of helplessness. Her wavy blonde hair faded into a tousle of red.
“...Miss Rika?” A soft, mouse-like voice snapped me out of the nightmare.
Saeran.
I knew how to recover quickly from these episodes. I learned how to don a mask of innocence and happiness for the rest of the world, at the flip of a coin.
Saeran needed someone who was stable - someone who could be his rock. Just like V was for me. I had to be that for Saeran no matter what. I could never abandon him.
“Hello, Saeran.” My once-dazed expression melted into a smile as he ran to meet me on the bench in the prayer garden that had become my escape.
“I’ve missed you, Miss Rika! So, so so much!” Saeran nearly tackled me into an embrace that I returned warmly.
“V and I have missed you just as much!” I heard my own voice chime out, the smile on my lips genuine now as the lingering dread washed away.
“...You did?” Saeran pulled away from the hug, his head tilting to the side. His eyes were just as doe-like as Mina’s. The same innocence - and fragility - she had once had was evident in him, too.
“Of course we did. How could we not miss such a goofball like yourself?” I rustled his hair, a light-hearted giggle escaping the young boy’s lips. The small peal of laughter was soon interrupted by a sudden expression of uncertainty.
“A ‘goof-ball’... Is that a bad thing?” Saeran enunciated each syllable of this new word, unsure of himself. My own expression shifted as I could sense a new anxiety in the young boy. One that was very familiar.
“A bad thing? No, absolutely not. Being a goofball is one of the best things to be, Saeran. It’s a good thing.” My voice was reassuring, almost motherly.
“A good thing... Hm.” I could see the cogwheels turning through Saeran’s mind after he spoke, and then - “Mother says I will never be anything close to good.”
Tears began to form in Saeran’s eyes but it was obvious he was trying his best to hold it all in. It seemed like he had experience with holding in that emotion. Just like Mina.
“Saeran…” I watched as he struggled to keep an unbothered expression.
He was fighting hard.
His thoughts were so obviously spiraling.
“...Saeran… You don’t have to hide any of those emotions from me. Okay?”
Saeran’s expression remained as stone-cold as he could muster. His eyes glared back at me with bewilderment. It was as if he’d never heard reassurance like this from anyone.
I figured that was accurate, from the way little Saeyoung had spoken of their mother. There was obviously a reason he never talked about her.
Without another word between us, I enveloped Saeran into a nurturing embrace.
As if a burden had been lifted, he sunk into my arms - effortlessly, as if he had belonged there.
Tumblr media
His heaving sobs were silenced as he buried his head in the ruffles of my dress. His breathing soon became hitched - broken - gasping for air.
I could only hold him tight, and comfort him as best as I could. That was the least I could do for this poor child.
Soon, the gasps turned into hyperventilation.
“Saeran, darling - Breathe…” I spoke tenderly, in the most comforting voice I could muster.
His breaths were still fast - too fast. “You are safe here with V and I. You are safe with me… Please, just breathe…”
Slowly, but surely - painfully - Saeran’s breaths began to calm.
“That’s it - just keep breathing… Three counts in, three counts out…” I recalled the breathing strategy V had coached me through countless times. Saeran followed my advice, and soon his breathing pace settled further.
I held Saeran close, like I always wished my mother had. I held him tight. I wanted to protect this child from this world. Even if it meant sacrificing myself.
“...Can you talk to me, Saeran? Tell me what’s swirling through those thoughts of yours.” I asked gently, taking care not to overstep and push him away.
In response, Saeran pulled away from the embrace, staying close but retracting in by wrapping his arms fully around his small torso.
The young boy’s sniffles were the only sound other than the birds chirping in the near distance.
A look of deliberation - of hesitancy - suddenly appeared on Saeran’s face. He wiped his face with the sleeve of his torn, thin shirt. A bony wrist moved to roll up both pant legs to reveal two raw, red bruises around his ankles.
A sharp gasp instinctually escaped my lips at the sight.
Though I kept it hidden, rage for the monster that shackled this poor child boiled up inside.
“It hurts…” Saeran whimpered, his voice barely a whisper. The tears trailed down his cheeks silently.
“Your mother did this to you…?”
A sharp nod in response.
“A mother should never treat their child that way.” My voice was suddenly colored with a new darkness.
“...Why does she?” The young voice chirped, pining for an answer. That was an answer I wanted to figure out for myself. I could hardly fathom how anyone could even think of hurting such a weak, broken child.
A child who needed someone to help him survive in this world.
“Some people in this world are evil, Saeran. Unfortunately, your mother is one of them.” I spoke in a calculated, composed tone. There was no need to let my true emotions out.
“‘E-vil…’ Is that something bad?” Another inquisitive chirp.
I nodded in response before taking his small hand in my own. At first, he flinched at the touch - but soon relaxed.
“...But you know what? I know how to spot the evil people in this world.”
“You can…?”
“Yep, I can. It’s my super power.”
“Wow, really?”
“Well, not really. But I’ve never been wrong about a person, ever.” A laugh escaped my lips before my expression shifted to that of true sincerity. “...I want you to know that I’m going to do everything I can to protect you from her. I will always protect you, Saeran.”
“...Why me?”
I considered this for a moment. I had to gain his trust. I had to be careful. One misspoken word, and I could lose everything.
“Believe it or not, you and I are actually quite similar, Saeran.” I wiped a tear from Saeran’s cheek and realized he was entranced at my words. My eyes searched the ground, settling upon a burst of yellow just beyond the shadows of the bench. Reaching down, I deftly picked it from its shady haven.
“...You and I are like this daffodil. Fragile, beautiful, sprouting even from the darkness.” I spun the stem in between my fingers. “...This daffodil needs someone to take care of it. Someone who will protect it. Someone who will help keep it alive.”
I took a moment to phrase my words - cautiously.
“I will be that someone for you, Saeran. Will you let me be?” I handed the delicate flower ever-so-carefully to Saeran. He twirled the stem in between his fingers, his expression colored with new melancholy.
“You… really want to protect me?” Hesitant curiosity coloured the child’s voice now.
“Of course I do,” I continued, “I’ll care for you, protect you, and help you survive in this world, Saeran.”
Saeran blinked in an almost disbelief, a tear trailing slowly down his cheek. That disbelief melted into a hopeful smile.
That was the smile of a child who was fit for the Paradise I had been dreaming of.
“...Okay.” Saeran’s gaze flickered back towards me, his golden eyes as doe-like as ever. He twirled the stem giddily in between his fingers.
Saeran was the daffodil - as delicate and fresh as the tiny flower he held so carefully. I will do everything in my power to keep him from being crushed, from being choked out by the weeds he would inevitably find himself ensnared in.
No weeds would ever dare ensnare anyone I deemed fit for my Paradise.

April Showers Bring May Flowers
Hi hi! This is my piece for Mystic Messenger Reverse BigBang (@mysme-rbb), and also my first piece! This is also on AO3 here. This piece is paired with the wonderful artist Saia (@saiare._) on instagram!
Words: 1553
Warnings: N/A
Synopsis: Saeran and MC are hit with rain.
Saeran X MC
The cool scent of petrichor and mellow rain had made Saeran uneasy. Ray had always attributed such specific weather conditions to unforgiving pouring outside of their childhood home. Conditions which barred them from escaping, leaving the twins alone with their sole caregiver. Ray seemed to house those memories close. Saeran on the other hand had always felt that the rain was somewhat of a catharsis. He’d remembered dumb idioms V had told him, phrases he’d learned to grasp onto. Sayings such as “You can’t have a rainbow without a little rain,” and their like. Ray hung onto quotes during his time in Magenta. Drinking down the translucent, turquoise concoction of elixir, smelling the copious amounts of medication and hoping his rainbow would come soon after. Saeran tasted bittersweet, Linking Rika to the rain, and MC as the rainbow. But this time around, it was difficult to see the distinguishing features of each contradicting party.
What’s taking so long?, thought Saeran. MC had remained in the confines of the locked bathroom for all too long. In an effort to not hide anything from them, MC told Saeran she was late. And now they were here, her locked in the bathroom with a pregnancy test, and him, waiting (im) patiently for MC to give him the news.
The pair weren’t at all trying, if anything they were preventing. All four of them collectively agreed that they just weren’t ready for an addition in the family. And MC seemed to understand, knowing full and well Saeran had just narrowly escaped Mint Eye, that Saeyoung was still missing in action, and that lots of healing was to come before any sudden decisions. But Saeran knew well that they could only be so careful, tiptoeing between the lines. Saeran could only guess how Suit (as he’d come to refer to him) and Ray would react, he feared that he’d have to see them in their full glory. His fears were yet to come true.
A small rattle of the doorknob caught Saeran’s attention, silver twisting against the door. MC peeked her head out with a skittish smile gracing her porcelain face, Saeran couldn’t help but smile back. Her infectious smile never failed to adorn her lover’s lips too, he was utterly grateful for her optimism in the worst scenarios. Noticing the pink and white test in her hands, he stepped forward, a look of worry painted on his face. MC opened her palms to Saeran, showing the two pink lines. They were expecting.
Suit couldn’t help but react. Why? Just when things were getting good for us. His hands flew to MC’s sides, pushing her up against the wall. It hurts. Suit pressed his fingers into MC’s shoulders, nails digging into her frame.
“Sae!” MC exclaimed, unknowing of the sudden change. Warm tears began welling in his eyes, his head pounding as his body reacted on it’s own. You’re strong. We’re strong.
“Fuck MC.. I-I..God,” he managed to putter out.
Despite the display, his hands shook, arms coming to wrap around the frightened girl’s figure. MC traced her slender fingers along his own form, holding onto the alabaster fabric that scrunched at her fingertips.
“We’re going to be okay Saeran..” her words trailed as she shushed him quietly.
“I-I know we’re not ready, w-we’re far from ready. But know we’re in this together. You’re not him. You’re not her. You’re mine. No, ours alone. We have so much to work through. B-But I promise you, this isn’t bigger than us. All of us.” MC whispered as her own tears began to flow. Suit growled, head spiraling in every which way. We’re not ready for this, fuck, fuck, fuck! Suit’s hands loosened, letting go of MC’s hazel sweater. I can’t hurt her. His whitening knuckles coming to a pause as blood began to properly circulate around his hands. MC couldn’t help but let out a shaking sob, her body trembled, knowing she had put them in an immeasurable amount of pressure, pain, and general confusion.
“Saeran, I’m so sorry. W-We could’ve been more careful. But, I want you to know, I want to keep it. Y-You’re going to be an amazing father.” MC cried out with her trembling tone.
“No, MC. You’re going to be an amazing mother.” Suit finally replied, his usually gruff tone now replaced with melancholic monotone. Confused, MC pulled back, looking to face her lover. His pale face was motionless, not to mention seemingly emotionless (though MC knew his mind was running a hundred miles an hour). She could only stare at his ivory skin, pink lips brightly lit with crimson, she’d failed to notice how hard he bit his lips, or that he even was biting in the first place. Aquamarine met sepia. Suit could practically feel his pupils dilate. Meanwhile MC admired Saeran’s soft features, from the way his cheekbones protruded less, to the lightening of his dark circles which once held a monopoly upon his face. This was the face MC couldn’t help but adore.
A week later, and Saeran had still been struggling to face his reality. Their reality. Ray and Suit had been awfully quiet since the reveal, and Saeran had a hard time breaking through to them. But it was now or never.
“Sae, we don’t have to talk about this right now.. I mean, if y-you can’t.” MC stuttered. She was lying, she’d known this was an issue that could not wait, one that couldn’t be left to waiver, especially for weeks, let alone months, nine months to be exact. But she’d do anything to spare them from pain. Saeran on the other hand, paced the room. His eyes wandering the room, left, right, up and down.
“No MC, I have to get this out. We have to get this out.” Saeran said, stopping his disturbed pace to look MC in the eye, his own falling away quickly after just a glance. Saeran sighed out, his bated breath being expelled. MC took his milky white hand into her own, giving it a soft peck. It was their time to speak. Ray was swift to front, cheeks turning a cute shade of cherry. He sat next to MC on the dingy couch Saeyoung once resided on, raising his opposing hand towards MC’s cheek. She instantaneously reacted, leaning into the palm of his hand.
“That red head..No, S-Saeyoung and I. Our Mother, she was a monster..” Ray began as he suddenly flinched away from MC’s touch. Her heart ached, longing to reach for him and protect him from the world, but she knew he needed this.
“Everyday, that woman.. She’d left marks on me, more than physical. Everyday I still fear her, in small daily discussions or quarrels. Every raised voice, every swift hand. I see her. And I fear her. I fear her..” Ray’s voice trailed off, eyes growing glossier by the second. MC bit her lip in response,
“Ray, y-you don’t have to-”
“No Love, I do.” He cut in.
Ray placed his hands along his thighs, taking in a solid breath as a tear trickled down his cheek, meeting his neck.
“I fear those marks she’s left on me. I’m scared of being..Her. Of becoming a tyrannical parent like her. I don’t care what Suit says. I’m weak MC. I fear her imprint, I fear what she could do, to me, to you, to us, all of us.” He said as he looked towards MC’s womb.
“I need you here with me, I know I can’t do this. Not without you. There’s no one else I’d rather have this child with. With you as their Mother, I know it’ll be okay. W-We’ll be okay.” He said staring at the ground before meeting MC’s auburn gaze. His hands cautiously made contact with hers, gently intertwining before kissing her knuckles.
“We’re going to be okay.” She whispered.
“Come here!” Yelled out Saeyoung as he chased after the smaller redhead ahead of him, effectively scattering mud and dirt around the perimeter. She ran with all her might, giggling in between thunderous screaming.
“Never!” She screamed before running straight into Saeran.
“Oomf!” was the sound she made before turning to look up to her father. Saeran took a step back, hands coming to wrap around the nine year old before looking down at her. She grinned widely, her toothy smile melting Saeran’s previously chilly demeanor. He beamed ear to ear. He could count her missing teeth. Since when was she growing so quickly?
Saeyoung was quick to attack, pouncing onto his niece and younger twin. Consequentially bringing them all down onto the mud. Her and Saeyoung’s laughter roared, chirping as loud as the birds. After a moment of hesitation, Saeran joined in. All of them splayed along the ground, basking in the newly sprung sun.
MC strolled near the pile of redheads, carrying a sleeping five year old in her arms.
“You’re all awfully boisterous today,” she said, smiling. Saeran sat up, ruffling the boy’s brunet locks.
“Appa! Appa!” the boy called out to his father, pointing to the sky. Saeran turned to see a faint rainbow making its way across the azure atmosphere. He couldn’t help but turn to see his family’s reaction to the magnificent phenomenon. All of their eyes twinkled.
We’re okay.

day 1: walking into fire with you
Happy New Year! Here’s day 1 of the Human Again prompts. For the master list of all the ficlets, click here.
SaeyoungXReader, T (implied sex), words: 1448
.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・
Plink. Plink. Plink.
A stream trickles over a wall of rocks before you: a tiny waterfall. You’re soothed by the sight of it, and you reach out a hand to feel the cool water on your fingers.
Your hand catches on a warm, rough blanket, rather than cold water, and your eyes blink open.
Not a waterfall, but the pattering of rain on the roof.
For a moment, you’re disoriented. It’s pitch black, so dark you can’t see your own hand. The blanket tangled around you is thicker than the smooth sheets you’d slept under in Rika’s apartment. You almost expect to hear the familiar sound of typing reverberating from the corner, but you hear nothing but the rain, hitting the roof with increasing intensity.
Typing.
Seven…
You sit up, squinting in the dark—feeling a little frantic.
You know where you are, now, of course—his safe house, the little cabin in the middle of nowhere that he’d inexplicably found without the help of a map (“It’s not on any map,” he’d assured you, laughing.)
The past few days come back to you at once as your eyes gradually adjust to the darkness. You no longer feel tired. As more recent events flood your mind, your heart pounds harder, and you wiggle a little, the cold hitting your naked body even through the thick blanket.
“Sev—Saeyoung?” you say hesitantly, stumbling over the new name, which is not yet familiar on your lips. You can’t feel him beside you and a small, unreasonable part of you whispers none of it was real.
“Hey.” His voice is soft and surprisingly close. You automatically shift toward the sound and find his back, bare and warm. You still can’t see much, but it seems he’s perched on the edge of the small bed, facing away from you. “You’re awake,” he says, and there’s a certain quality to his voice that you recognize.
“You okay?” you ask, and you press your cheek against his back. Your instinct tells you to launch yourself at him, curl into his lap and look into his face and assure yourself that he’s here and he’s alright and he still loves you. You resist. It’s all so new, and he’s like a lost kitten, starved for and terrified of your affection all at once.
He leans into your touch and you’re relieved, releasing the breath you didn’t know you were holding.
“I—“ he starts and then stops again. He doesn’t turn to face you, but he does reach back and take your hand, gently tugging your arm forward and around his chest. You follow his lead and wrap your other arm around him too so you’re embracing him from behind—you can feel his rapid heartbeat under your fingers. You press a feather-light kiss to the back of his neck, and he shivers. “You don’t know what you do to me,” he says, his train of thought lost, his voice low.
“I do,” you respond, and he almost laughs. “But please tell me what’s worrying you.”
He shakes his head, and his curls tickle your forehead. “You don’t let me get away with anything.”
“Nope.”
He pauses and for a long moment you both listen to the rain.
“I don’t want to die tomorrow,” he says finally.
Your heart misses a beat. Right. It’s not like you’d forgotten about the imminent danger, forgotten the reason why you were here, forgotten the unspoken “if I die” that modified everything he’d asked of you the night before.
“That’s…a normal thing to feel,” you respond slowly.
“Not for me,” he says.
He wiggles out of your arms so he can turn to face you, and at last you see the flash of his golden eyes through the darkness. He scoops your legs on top of his own and you feel a thrill at the sudden contact. He leans toward you until his forehead is resting on yours.
“Everyone’s afraid of dying, babe,” you say after a moment, touching his cheek. You feel him squirm beneath you in response to the term of endearment and you shift your hips, climbing all the way into his lap. The closeness feels so easy, so natural—as if you’d had this intimacy between you all along.
“I wasn’t,” he says, meeting your eyes. “I’ve been in plenty of life-or-death situations. It’s not like I was trying to be a martyr or anything, I just—I was worried about things like getting in trouble with my boss or dying in a really painful way, or, you know—” He swallows. “Dying without seeing Saeran again. But actually being dead—like, being gone from the world—I didn’t really care.”
“I hate that,” you say, knowing you’re whining, knowing you’re being honest. You can’t meet his intense gaze anymore, and you break eye contact. Saeyoung has been very clear about his disregard for his own life. It doesn’t make it easier to hear.
“I’m sorry,” he says, tilting your chin back toward him with one calloused finger. “That’s just it, though. It hit me tonight, when I was lying next to you, after—” He trails off, and you feel heat rising on your cheeks. “I lay there listening to your breathing as you fell asleep, and I thought, ‘I don’t want to die.’ And then I thought, ‘Huh.’ Because I just—that’s a new one, for me.”
Wow.
You’re surprised at the hot tears that prick the backs of your eyes.
“Saeyoung,” you say, and he shivers at the sound of his real name. You wrap your legs tighter around his waist and fix him with what you hope is a look of determination. “You are allowed to want to live.”
“Am I?” His voice sounds weak and he gazes at you with wonder in his eyes, like a small child looking for answers.
“Yes,” you say firmly. Then you press a kiss to his lips and he responds instantly, easily, parting his lips just slightly so you feel his breath on your tongue.
“I didn’t tell you why I’m scared of dying all of a sudden,” he whispers against your lips.
“Because you were so blown away by how amazing I am in bed?” you tease. He lets out a surprised chuckle.
“Well, yeah—”
“Yes?”
“Ye—no! I mean, yes. But no.”
You laugh and even though you still can’t quite make out his features in the dark room you can picture exactly what face he’s making.
“I guess that’s part of it,” he admits, still laughing. You know he’s blushing. “But also I just—I started to picture a future with you. And I realized I want that.”
You take a slow, steady breath. Inside, you’re singing, jumping, doing a little dance around the dark, cold cabin. It’s not just that he wants a future with you, though you’re thrilled to hear it—more importantly, he wants a future at all. You know him well enough to understand how significant that is.
“So you won’t die tomorrow, then,” you say, and you’re surprised by your own confidence. You are overwhelmed by the desire to protect him. You curl your hands in his hair, wanting to feel the texture of him against your skin.
“Say that again,” he urges, nuzzling his face against your throat. He finds your pulse with his lips and kisses it and you can’t help grinding your hips against his, lighting up at the sensations, at the possibilities.
“We won’t die tomorrow because I need you alive, Choi Saeyoung,” you say, grabbing his face with both hands and fixing him with what you hope is a stern look.
“Ahhh,” he moans, closing his eyes and pressing his face against yours. You feel his eyelashes on your cheek. “Then I won’t die,” he says. “You know I can’t resist you when you look at me like that. You know I’d do anything for you.”
“I know,” you say, moving your hips against his with more purpose this time, relishing in the low growl he emits as he wriggles beneath you.
And then he’s moved before you realize it, knocking you back so you’re pinned under him. He has a wicked glimmer in his eyes as he stares down at you, hungrily, adoringly.
“I feel like I can do anything,” he says, his voice low. And he kisses you and you’re lost in the heat building between you and the sound of his heartbeat, pumping the blood through his veins, pounding out the rhythm of his life.
Above you, on the cabin’s steel roof, the rain continues to beat out its own rhythm, matching the sound of your breathing.

I like Higurashi a lot too! Did you like Gou? I liked the opening and the animation but didn't really like Gou overall. But I know people have varied heavily on Gou so I'd love to know your thoughts. My personal favorite season od Higurashi is the first tho or Rei.
Long post alert. Putting a cut right here so people don't have to scroll if they don't care.
Personally I wasn't a fan of the style initially- it's... too pretty and neat? I did change my mind because I rewatched the Studio Deen one recently enough and... well. The polish in the animation does give off the wrong vibe, but not in a 'it's cool because it's jarring' kind of way. In a 'this shouldn't look like pretty candy in a box' way. We all know what Higurashi is. Luckily enough, they managed to make some scenes work- pretty animation oftentimes cancels out the drama because you can't distort it without making it look off (reasons why I love the art direction of Masaaki Yuasa, but that's a different topic). In general I get why people might say that it looks better than it actually is- however.
I could go on about the opening, its meaning and its visuals for like... actual ages. I'll spare you that or save it for another post.
I liked Gou a lot and it's all because of the character drama between Rika and Satoko. I know that apparently there is a strong connection with the gods of Umineko, but honestly I haven't played that (it's... long. Really long). Overall, what makes Higurashi enjoyable for me is the character tension, not the horror per se. I loved the Mion-Shion bits in the original, the big question mark that Rena was throughout the whole first season. Keiichi is there (I don't hate him, he makes the series work, but he's absolutely the least interesting one). Rika turned out to be the protagonist when I thought it would always be Keiichi Maebara... In general, it's the characters. The plot is pretty good, too, you never have a clue what is going on and sometimes nobody tells you outright- I think that's great.
People will shit on Gou and the beginning of Sotsu a lot, I can see why- to some what we had was satisfying and the sequel feels like a glorified remake. Yes. I get it. But Satoko. Try and tell me Satoko didn't come off as the most useless character, with the only nuance to her being that she has a brother and her uncle is trash. Like- that is an hyperbole- I loved the arcs that covered her backstory and her feelings towards Keiichi. But I watched Gou and I thought... hey. She isn't just a child who had bad things happen to her. She is the trickster of the story, the joker. Satoko Hojo is a cool character and I understand her motivations. It's warped and wrong, but it's so human. She doesn't want Rika to leave, as simple as that. Who would want to be left alone? After all that? There is nothing worse to me than the idea of a neverending nightmare that just keeps looping. And from Rika's perspective it's so fucking terrifying. She's been in control, always, all the time. She always knew what was up, or at least more than everyone else. And all of sudden that isn't the case anymore.
... Imagine a bad addiction- one you struggled to get out of. It's been years. You've stopped. You're happy. Then you wake up one morning and your progress is gone. You relapse. You drown in everything that the addiction was to you once more- but you can't do anything to stop, because you're not the one actively acting, you're subject to the course of events. Rika has never been a pawn, but now she is- the pawn Satoko wants so desperately to bring under her command. And she's alone. Hanyuu is gone, because Hanyuu was a mistake that was never meant to happen- Featherine is her real identity and she's the real Oyashiro. She's the one who's to be feared. The powers Rika had were nothing, they didn't mean anything at all.
I love stories of twisted love like that. Satorika isn't and will never be a healthy relationship, but it's the star of the show in Gou and Sotsu. Rika was trying to solve things, she still is. Satoko is a calculating force of chaos who is forcing the hand of fate and is backed by a goddess who will simply giggle at all the misfortune she has to cause.
It's... kinda beautiful, to me. It's all wrong, it's all desperate and absolutely sick. That's what I look for in Higurashi. The first few series were about Rika's hope in escaping Hinamizawa. Gou and Sotsu are about the desperation that comes when the carefully crafted hope born from a shared effort are torn apart by the person you trust the most.
I can see why maybe the execution isn't perfect. I can see why people would dislike it. Maybe I think about it too much. Maybe if I rewatched it I would talk about missed opportunities and bad scenes. Who knows. What I do know is that if I draw art for a series, it's because it's left a mark and has left me thinking about it. Gou reawakened my love for Higurashi and I enjoyed the hell out of it. I am going to enjoy the hell out of Sotsu, too, I think.

You know, years ago I had a smol friend who recommended me this masterpiece. All that time, in my delirious and arrogant haze, I kept pushing it aside or letting her know “I would get around to it”... WHY? Why couldn’t I have played this *sooner*? The first chapter - with the - 7th Expansion mod w/ full voice acting - is INCREDIBLE. Since I’m near the beginning, every moment and every piece of character development has left me genuinely smiling! I haven’t smiled like this towards a game or media in years.  What an arrogant fool I was to neglect it for so, so long... Just the way the group interacts, you can tell their personalities and cohesion fall perfectly into place. Mion’s leadership and confidence, Rena’s love for kyuuute things, Satoko as the teasing smol girl, Rika as the level-headed-yet-god-tier cute girl, and Keiichi’s all-around perfect male character fits so well! I DREAMED of friendships and bonds of this magnitude! Just pure fun, pure bliss, pure connection.
Tumblr media
The Rena punches! Reading about her in her “kyuuute” mode is just to die for! Having a character with such a concept is just so fun how she can just instantly die of happiness and get overwhelmed with emotion with the mere sight or sound of anything cute! A very volatile character in the kyuutest of ways.
Tumblr media
Not to mention! The Satoko and Keiichi rivalry! A perfect bigger brother and younger sister kind of battle! It’s so fun to read on how Keiichi will overcome any duel against “that little brat”, or how Satoko basks in her glory with her trademark “OH HO HO HO” laugh!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Finally! The club meetings! What a dream come true for such a fun and dynamic friendship! These were my favorite moments, like when Keiichi was convinced himself into a state of godhood from his card game skills in “President”, with a sudden spin at the end to have it all fall apart for him! What a glorious display! Only to have the funniest moment so far happen, where he shamefully had to enter the principal’s office with a cat costume and woman’s bathing suit! Poor guy! As shameful as that is, I’m still sure he had the time of his life with challenges like that, even when losing (okay, on second thought, he still dreaded to lose.)
All in all, I wish I could talk to my smol friend again who first regarded this game to me, I wish I could tell her how foolish I was for neglecting it all this time, and most importantly, to announce how perfect her tastes were to enjoy it as much as I’m enjoying it these days. I’m on Chapter 7 of the first Chapter game, and I’m so excited I have *8 more games too, waiting for me!*
Thank you, old friend, I miss you so much, and all I can say is... you were right.

Sushi fun!!
I'm going to do my own Sushi story that @roninhunt0987 did. Yet I have to be honest that there was hardly ANY SUSHI EATING!!! And I'm bumped and Suzuki is pissed so. I'm making my version where there is actually sushi eating. Sorry dude your storys are usually on point but this time it was a miss. I know you were tired.
Gen’ichi and his family were having a nice lovely evening. Ninjara was getting ready to start making dinner while gen was keeping the kids in the living room. (since they didn't want the kids to get hurt in the kitchen when dinner was being made)
Ninjara: *walks into the living room tying her apron* ok everyone I’m about to start what should I make for mom dinner night?
The kids were getting all excited because they were HUNGRY!!!!! Gen'ichi and Ninjara had 8 kids. Septuplets and one little baby. Ran, Rei, Reiko, Rika, Miwa, Nori, Gen'ichi jr and Lil Geni. They began to say what they wanted
Ran: Burgers!!!
Rei and Reiko: Pasta!
Miwa: mac and cheese
lil Geni:....ham
SUSHI!!!
Everyone paused...
Gen'ichi: who screamed sushi?
All of a sudden, there aunt Suzuki bust down the door and made a very heroic post!
Suzuki: I said Sushi!!
Kids: Auntie Suzuki *They all run to her as there dear mother looked in horror*
Ninjara: My front door!!!
All 8 of the kids fox piled there Auntie Suzuki pushing her to the ground all laughing.
Suzuki: hehehehe ok ok you little nuggets your got your auntie Suzuki *she said as she was getting up from the floor*
Gen’ichi: Hey sis, why you yelled Sushi?
Ninjara: And why did you break down my door?!
Suzuki: Oh good questions, and let me answer with “Who wants sushi for dinner!?”
Kids: sushi!
Gen’ichi and Ninjara: sushi?
Suzuki: Yes, I know this great sushi belt restaurant and I am taking you all for some sushi tonight!!
Kids: Yay, Sushi sushi sushi!! *all the kids began to cheer*
Gen’ichi: well that's very nice of you sis. But why sushi? You never really this excited for Sushi?
Suzuki: what? Can I just invite my favorite brother and his lovely family to dinner? I’m hurt bro I am so hurt! *Suzuki was being a bit dramatic*
Gen’ichi and Ninjara: *raised there eyebrows*
Suzuki: ok ok This Sushi place if you eat more you get more chances to win a prize, last time I went there alone I ate 40 plates of sushi and won twice and the prizes were the same a tiny sushi keychain but i wanted to see what other prizes they have...you know me bro....I have a weakness for prize games.
Gen’ichi: there that wasn’t so hard huh Suzuki.
Ninjara: well sushi those sound nice, and I know if you want to go back the food has to be good.
Suzuki: Sooooo?
Gen'ichi: kids get your shoes on we are going out tonight!
The kids cheer and began running all over the house each one trying to find and get there shoes. After finally getting there shoes on the family fallows Suzuki to “Tai’s Sushi” a restaurant that appeared several months ago. As they walk in they are meet with the host who took them to a LARGE booth where Mikey and Raph were there.
Gen’ichi: Mikey? Raph? What are you guys doing here?
Mikey: Sis invite us to this sushi party!
Raph: Yeah, sorry sis dad, Leo< and Donnie could not make it.
Gen’ichi and Ninjara look at Suzuki was a glare and Suzuki just shrug. She though she could get a bit more help. Wow Suzuki you are crazy for prizes. Everyone has a seat and GJ looked confused.
GJ: were are the menus?
Suzuki: oh its here this pad *Suzuki points to the pad which she was right next too* here you can order specials order but if you don't want that you can grab anything from the belt see all the food.
Since Suzuki finally mentioned it everyone notice a conveyer belt full of sushi  they even notice a screen above the belt where the game was and above that was the prize box.
Tumblr media
(closest pic I can find but with booths)
Suzuki: Any way the more you eat the more chances you get at winning but it not easy they make it a lucky draw. So its mostly lucky. So is everyone ready to try this place?
Everyone: yes!
Suzuki grabbed the pad and order some simple type of sushi for the kids. Like tuna, salmon, cucumber rolls and crab sushi too. After the special order arrive Suzuki began to take plates of the belt and placing them on the table. There must have been one plate for every kind of sushi at that table. Everyone began to chow down.
Geni: *see some werid green paste* what's this?
Ninjara: oh that is wasabi honey. It's a spicy paste you put on sushi. *puts a piece of Uramaki in her mouth*
Before anyone can react Geni puts the whole blob of it in her mouth.
Gen'ichi: Ahhh sweetie!!!
Suzuki: oh furball no!!
Geni: what....? *feels no pain*
Everyone: huh?
Suzuki: wait, Geni your not crying from the spice?
Geni: no, it those not taste anything to me
Mikey: really? Maybe wasabi is not so spicy *pics up a picese of wasabi*
Raph: Mikey-
Suzuki: No!
Mikey stick the whole piece in his mouth and that moment he knew....he ...fucked up! Mikey began screaming from the pain and began to run all over the restaurant, people were videotaping Mikey making a ass of himself.
Suzuki: *makes a cup of green tea* Mikey!! Drink this!!!
Mikey gets the cup and gulps it down in a sec. It taste bad to him but it stopped the pain. Mikey was on the floor pants from running and from the pain. The kids all laugh and Suzuki speaks up.
Suzuki: dont become your uncle mikey kids.
Mikey: Hey!!
After the excitement they all got a good stack of plates and were ready to see if they will win.
Suzuki: ok 5 plates for each try
GJ: can I try frist
Ninjara: of course sweetie all you kids will get a turn.
GJ moved his seat and sat on his dad lap so he could reach. He put the 5 plates in the machine and a little cartoon appeared on the screen under the prize machine. The cartoon says....loser.
GJ: awww
Mikey: sorry little dude
Raph: it is a game of luck.
Suzuki: it's ok bud *runs GJ's head*
Rei: Me next me next!!
Rei had a go...lost
Rei: dang it!
Gen'ichi: it's ok sweetie we have more plates
Soon it was Reiko...lost....Ran....lost....Miwa...lost.
Ninjara: I'm starting to think this is rigged.
Geni: My twurn *push the plates in and won!?*
Kids: huh!?
Geni: yay!!!!
Suzuki: good job furball you won.
Geni won a cutie little kid bracelet from the prize box it fit her wrist with little plastic charms on it.
Geni: hehehehe
After seeing the prize there little siblings got the septuplets were determined to get some prizes too. After doing the game more of the game Nori got a prize. It was a keychain of a ramen bowl it looked every cute.
Gj: we need more plates!!
Ninjara: arent you kids full?
Ran: No mama
Rei: we
Reiko: want
Rika: to
Miwa: win!
Gen'ichi: I guess we need more sushi *took some sushi off the belt*
After about 30 mintues of more eating...from what Suzuki can tell they have been there for over and hour and won twice. They got more plates from the kids eatting every sushi that lands on the table. Gen'ichi worst fear....Suzuki was teaching his kids her guilty pleasure.
After so many games each child finally got a prize. How much sushi did they eat...over 200 plates and won 9 prizes. Suzuki of course got one. Everyone walked out of the restaurant super full.
Raph: I never want to see a tuna roll again...
Mikey: *covers mouth because he felt like her was going to barf*
Ninjara: ok kids let's go home *she said as she holds some of the kids*
Geni: Auntie Suzuki?
Suzuki: yes honey?
Geni: can we come back here again?
Suzuki: *smiles*yes
Gen'ichi and Ninjara: NOOOO *both scream*
The End
Bonus
Mikey: *bards in some bushes while raph pats his back*
Raph: let it all out bro
Mikey: Bleeeeeeeeeeeegggggggggghhhhhhhh
@roninhunt0987 here you go dude

So I had this random thought one day and you don't need to do it if its trash 😂 But in this scenario MC has a daughter from a prior relationship that resulted her to be homeless with her daughter. She has a phone and goes through everything with the RFA but once she finds out about the bomb she asks the RFA for help, at least for her daughter's well being. How it ends is up to you! Thank you love 💕
RFA with a Mc who has a daughter and asks the RFA to save her after finding out about the bomb in the apartment
Hii! I really loved this request! It’s not trash at all! I hope you like my idea! I had to change Jumin’s, Jaehee’s and Saeyoung’s Story since there’s no bomb in their Route! I still hope you like the out coming! Have a nice day!
Ps: Did someone miss me, hehe? I actually forgot to post anything, hehe but i kept researching stuff for a new Headcanon...wait for it!

Jumin
,,Mommy! Please!’’ your little daughter begged you.
You rolled your eyes and looked to your husband, who was smiling happily.
He seemed to enjoy the current situation.
After the party, you and Jumin married almost immediately.
You went on your honeymoon and enjoyed your time as a little family.
After all, you had to take your daughter along.
But for Jumin, this wasn’t a problem at all. After all, he loved that mini exemplar of you.
At first, it was odd. He didn’t really like the fact that you had a daughter or that you were married once before.
Even though he loved you and knew that you were different from all the gold diggers he had met until that point, he just couldn’t help but think of himself when he looked at the girl.
However, he quickly realized that he was wrong.
The girl was a cheerful one and accepted Jumin as an uncle immediately.
,,I will take you there,’’ he said and took your jacket.
,,Jumin, there’s no need…’’ you mumbled and tried to give your little daughter some signs.
,,No, don’t worry. She forgot her favorite game there and wants it back. I can understand her sadness. Besides, I want to know where you lived for the time being,’’ he told you.
And so the three of you entered the car and let Driver Kim drive to the address you told him.
Jumin observed you and thought about your story.
Your husband was no good, so you divorced and escaped to freedom.
You were homeless and after Unknown made it possible for you to get into the apartment, you thought that it came in handy for you.
How many people must have felt like you? He wondered.
,,We arrived,’’ Driver Kim said, looking into the mirror to look at you all.
,,Okay now, young girl. You’re going up with me to search for that doll of yours,’’ you added, firmly but without scaring her.
You kissed Jumin and told him that you would be right back.
None of you thought that this would be a big deal.
Jumin used the time to look on his phone.
For some reason, Seven was panicking.
,,The security system at Rika’s apartment has been activated! Someone’s inside! The building will blow up!’’ he said.
In just that moment, you entered the chatroom.
Jumin’s heart stopped beating for a second as he looked up. Somewhere in there, your life was at stake.
He jumped out of the car and immediately called you.
,,Jumin! Don’t enter the building-!’’ you sobbed.
,,Don’t worry, my love! I will save you!’’ he hissed into the phone, trying to think of a way to save you and your daughter.
,,Just, don’t think of me, but her instead...please. As long as you can save her, it’s okay!’’ you hiccuped.
Jumin’s heart was breaking.
,,As long as no one is entering or stepping out, nothing will happen… the hacker won’t do anything either, let’s wait for my guards and Seven…’’ Jumin tried to make you hope, already planning what to do.
He suddenly saw your face looking down from the window...
,,I wanna go see Daddy Jumin!’’ he suddenly heard the girl whine.
His heart was about to burst when he heard how she called him daddy for the first time.
But more than his heart would burst soon enough.
You suddenly yelled at her to not open the door and suddenly, all the black haired man could see was red flames.
Jumin’s phone fell on the floor, cracks were visible on his display and invisible in his heart.
Something flew towards him and crushed on the floor, missing him by an inch.
The head of a burning doll.
Your last memento.
Zen
Suddenly, some noise made you look at your back to where your daughter was playing while you were cooking.
A white haired man was holding your three year old daughter.
His face was hidden because of the mask he was wearing.
You felt as if your heart would crumble when you saw your helpless child trying to move away.
,,I will force you to stand still if you don’t stop moving around!’’ he hissed at your daughter who had tears in her eyes.
You tried to find out who this man was.
But he only talked about paradise and that he wouldn’t hurt you so you shouldn’t try to fight back.
You felt scared and tried to find a way to loosen his grip on your daughter. Either way was okay as long as she would be safe.
But suddenly, there was a knock on the door and as both of you looked back, he asked you if you invited Luciel over.
However, this wasn’t the case.
,,HELP ME!’’ you yelled desperately as the stranger opened the door and asked you about your well being.
No way you would mistake this voice you fell in love with.
Zen.
,,HYUN! HELP US! HE GOT HER!’’ you whined.
Suddenly, the man pulled you over to his side, making you step on the glass.
Your daughter was crying out your name.
You could sense the fear she was feeling.
Zen glared at the man as he observed how he had you both in his arms.
,,If you don’t move, I will have to use force to protect my two girls,’’ Zen hissed again.
You thought that finally everything would end, but then the man grinned, asking Zen if he knew the red switch he was holding.
,,Installing a bomb while a woman is living here and on top of that with a child? What’s wrong with the RFA?’’ the man asked Zen.
,,What do you want?’’ Zen hissed, hoping that he would ask for funds.
But the man only wanted to escape with you, the planner of the RFA parties and then take away every single of the RFA with him.
,,Zen, it’s okay,’’ your voice almost gave up.
,,I will go. You take care of my little girl,’’ you begged, looking at the three years old, who was doing her best to not move.
,,Watch how I’m taking ,,your girl.’’ At least I will let the other one stay with you,’’ he laughed and let go of your daughter.
A stone fell from your heart as she was finally free, but suddenly things changed.
In just a few seconds your daughter kicked the man in a place people shouldn’t get hurt which made him crumble and let go of you.
,,MC, NOW!’’ Zen yelled as you took your daughter and ran with her towards Zen, who asked you to trust him.
A new chatroom opened as you and your daughter rested between Zen’s arms, her crying hysterically and you trying to stay strong.
Zen was chatting with Seven.
He was explaining everything and mumbled curses sometimes.
But at some point he threw his phone away and just hugged you.
,,I’m sorry you had to go through this, I love you so much…’’ he sobbed and kissed your forehead, holding you stronger now.
,,But how did she know this…? I’m scared now,’’ he tried to make you laugh.
,,She probably saw me do that to her dad often,’’ you confessed, nuzzling your head and inhaling his manly scent as you both observed your daughter falling asleep.
Yoosung
,,What should I do now…?’’ you began to sob as you read what Seven was writing in the chatroom.
He and Jaehee entered the chatroom at 20:55 pm and there the only hacker you knew told you that there was a bomb in your home.
Currently you were living with a bomb and your daughter was with you in a dangerous building.
,,What if the other hacker tries to break in and this place blows up…?’’ you asked yourself as Seven tried to make jokes.
Your daughter’s life was at risk, so you got pretty angry.
Even though Seven begged for forgiveness and Jaehee apologized on behalf of the RFA, you couldn’t let it slide.
Your fears were stronger than your nice heart and these fears made you pretty angry.
,,Please… do something,’’ you typed with trembling hands.
There, Seven told you that he was trying his best.
However, that wasn’t enough for you.
,,No,’’ you typed, looking at your girl’s sleeping face.
,,Seven, you probably know that I’m not living alone here at Rika’s apartment,’’ you chatted.
Jaehee didn’t quite understand what you meant and so to make it easier, you revealed that you were living at the blonde woman’s apartment with your three year old daughter.
After you exposed this secret, Jaehee showed even more concern, but eventually they both stepped out of the chatroom.
Seven tried to work on your problem and Jaehee carried out her duty, relaying everything to Jumin.
Not even a minute later, Yoosung called you.
,,I read what you wrote… I think I misunderstood our relationship… I’m sorry,’’ he mumbled.
,,No, Yoosung,’’ you quickly intervened.
,,You didn’t misunderstand anything,’’ you told him and actually blushed at your sudden confession.
,,Then, how come you have a daughter?’’ he questioned you.
You sighed loudly as you kept looking at your girl’s hair.
Her calm breath made you relax a bit too as you finally found the strength to confess to him what actually happened.
,,My boyfriend impregnated me in high school, but left me afterwards while my parents kicked me out.
So, I was homeless for a long time, between living in shelters for young moms, the hospital, and the church. But then, someone sent me a message on my phone and when I saw that no one was in the apartment… Well I hate myself for it, but I just decided to live here,’’ you hiccuped again.
,,I need to feed a baby!’’ you suddenly told him.
,,Yoosung, I need to save her! I need to protect her!’’ you explained into the phone, holding on it as if your life would depend on it.
,,I… after Rika died, Mc, I felt so guilty… I don’t want to feel the same towards you. I really want to help you,’’ Yoosung declared.
A few tears fell on your lap as you looked down.
,,As long as my daughter can grow up, I’m okay with the death coming over me. But please help me,’’ you begged and finally cut the call, falling asleep next to your angel.
Living in fear was the worst.
But finally, after Yoosung tried his best to help Seven at saving you, the problem was resolved and you were allowed to breathe calmly again.
You thought you would be okay, however, more things followed and even though your future boyfriend attended the party you organized, he got hurt just to save you.
,,Thank you for putting your life at stake just for me and her,’’ you whispered as you looked at his injured eye while you stroked your daughter’s head.
In the end, you still had a happy ending after all.
Jaehee
,,Are you excited?’’ you asked your daughter as you returned home with a cab.
Jaehee gave you a key. It had a special meaning and you wanted to make sure to quickly move out and realize her dream of opening a coffee shop with her.
The best thing about Jaehee was that when you showed her your unsureness because of your daughter, she made sure to send you signals that it was okay for her that you had a daughter from a prior relationship.
Afterwards, the both of you made sure to talk things out while the boys of the RFA took care of your five years old girl who was having much more fun than you expected.
,,Didn’t you love him anymore?’’ she suddenly asked you, looking at your daughter from the window as both of you stood outside on the balcony.
You shook your head and explained the situation.
,,I loved him so much,’’ you mumbled.
,,My heart still hurts whenever I think about him, my lovely husband… but Jaehee, just like you, I’ve lost my dearest person.
My husband died. My daughter had just been born when he died in a car accident, leaving the both of us behind.
Unfortunately, it was his fault that the accident occured and so I had to pay a lot of money for the damages.
Even though my husband died and I was a single mother, no one helped me.
One thing led to another and one day we were both alone in the cold, unable to go into our home anymore.
And that’s when I came into the RFA. Jaehee, after all that pain and hardship, I never thought that I could be so happy again and feel love again.
I never thought that I could meet you…’’ you ended your speech and touched her hand, making her blush.
,,I-understand…’’ she mumbled and looked down.
However, she was smiling in happiness.
Days went by and you guys started to plan out your life together when you got reminded that even though you didn’t have much, you forgot some things at Rika’s place.
,,I need to go there…’’ you mumbled and looked at your daughter.
,,It’s too risky for her to stay here,’’ Jaehee told you as she looked at all the workers who were currently building the inside of the store.
,,You’re right. I should take her with me. Little girl, say bye to Jaehee!’’ you took her hand and smiled at your daughter’s cute voice.
Hand in hand you walked down the street, realizing that the apartment was actually closeby.
You typed in the passcode and walked to the 14th floor, where you stayed the past few days.
,,System activated,’’ a woman’s voice said, making you wonder about the apartment’s features.
,,Pack your things, baby!’’ you happily said, looking at your phone as it suddenly vibrated.
,,Oh hi, Luciel! Why are you calling me?’’ you asked him cheerfully.
,,MC! DON’T LEAVE THE APARTMENT!’’ he yelled into the phone.
Your heart sank.
You felt that something was wrong.
The red haired man explained everything to you over the phone while you sat on the bed and held your phone in your hands.
You made sure to keep your daughter distracted with the TV while a lot of things were on your mind.
You were on the 14th floor. Escaping from the windows was almost impossible.
Suddenly, Jaehee’s name appeared on your display.
You answered her call and tried to speak into the cold device you were holding against your ear.
,,Jaehee…’’ you whined as quietly as possible.
,,Mc, I love you, I will do something to-’’
,,No, Jaehee, please help me to bring my little girl out of here… I don’t know how, but you need to save her!’’ you hiccuped.
Jaehee stayed silent on the other line.
,,I will do everything in my power to make sure that you can come out, I swear,’’ she firmly said and cut the call.
,,You should have stayed with Jaehee,’’ you sighed and put your hands on your face.
,,TELL ME THE ADDRESS!’’ Jaehee began to argue with Seven who did his best to ignore her and instead try to save you.
You stayed in contact, but Jaehee knew that you were scared.
She was too, after all.
,,Okay,’’ Seven finally said and looked at the brown haired woman who had been tormenting him for the past two hours.
,,That’s the address. I could deactivate the bomb,“ Seven told Jaehee.
She nodded and quickly ran to the given place, calling you.
,,Jae-”
,,GET OUT OF THAT BUILDING! IT‘S SAFE NOW! I‘M ALMOST THERE!“ she yelled into the phone.
This wasn’t something you let her say twice and took your daughter in your arms.
You prayed that she was right and opened the door.
As quickly as you could, you rushed down.
,,MC!“ she called out when you stood outside.
She quickly hugged you and kissed your daughter before the both of you began to cry.
Saeyoung
,,I‘m so tired of you!“ you began to sob as you had again an argument with your fiancé.
He nodded. He was also annoyed and you could tell.
,,Forget it. We‘re gonna sleep at Rika‘s place!“ you hissed and packed a few things for you and your daughter so that you could survive the next day and then rushed out.
Saeyoung let himself collapse on the chair as he looked at your back disappearing, hand in hand with the seven year old girl who turned her head to see him one last time.
He was angry and disappointed but he was also at fault.
You wanted to finally marry him, but he wanted to wait, which made you think that he wasn’t ready to bind himself with you and your daughter.
When you calmly asked him, he answered in annoyance, triggering an argument between the both of you.
He could understand your reaction.
The man you once loved and impregnated you escaped after all, leaving you alone with a girl.
It was natural that you were sensitive about these things.
Days passed and Saeyoung was indecisive to call you when he suddenly was forced to, due to something odd happening.
,,ALARM“ he typed and tried to make Saeran call you.
,,MC?!“ he typed, seeing that everyone except you entered the chat.
,,You messed up this time, lol,“ Yoosung commented but this time Saeyoung wasn’t down for jokes.
,,THERE IS A BOMB AT RIKAS PLACE WHERE MC IS RN AFTER WE ARGUED“
,,IT WILL EXPLODE! DON‘T STEP OUT!!“ he quickly typed in.
A few seconds later, you entered the chatroom and begged him to at least save your daughter.
,,Please…“ you begged over and over.
At Rika‘s place, you made sure that your daughter wouldn’t open the door.
You looked out of the window. You were way too high up.
,,We will get her out. Assistant Kang, order a helicopter right now,“ Jumin typed.
You closed your phone and hugged your daughter as tears were slowly falling on the floor.
Of course, she didn’t understand yet, but she knew that she shouldn’t say anything at that moment.
,,Whoever activated the bomb again could make it blow up any moment,“ Saeyoung sobbed as he sat in a helicopter with the pilot and Jumin.
The chairman in line wasn’t good at it, but as he patted his friends back he felt like he was doing his best.
,,That’s it. I will call her now,“ Saeyoung said, feeling kind of happy.
But suddenly, the pilot flew further away and when the red haired man was ready to bash at him, he could see the reason.
Red flames were all over the building.
,,Omg...OMG MC! MC?!“ Saeyoung yelled from the inside.
Were you… burning? Your daughter? Was she crying? Was she in pain?
Suddenly, he reviewed a message with a picture.
Your crying face hugging your smiling daughter.
,,She wanted to send her daddy a picture… I love you and I‘m sorry. I can’t wait to finally see you,“
,,Why are you writing this message Mc…?! WHY DID THE BOMB BLOW UP RIGHT NOW?!“ Saeyoung desperately asked Jumin who, however, didn’t have an answer.
And this all happened because he didn’t want to marry you yet…
Now marrying you was impossible.
,,Daddy?“ a sweet voice called him. The red haired man sat up in his bed and looked around him, finding your daughter next to him.
Was this a dream?
,,Mommy said I should call you. Uncle Saeran is awake too! Breakfast is ready…you okay?“ the little girl asked him, putting her little hands on his sweaty cheek.
,,A dream… nightmare…“ Saeyoung began to laugh and suddenly embraced the little girl.
In lightning speed, Saeyoung approached you and hugged you.
,,I’ll never argue with you, I swear!“ he sobbed, making you feel totally puzzled at his confession.
,,Are you so grateful because I put Honey Buddha Chips in your pancakes?“ you joked and hugged him back, already imagining that he must have had a nightmare again.
