ofc you find out after watching him spar with johnny and you’re like “why are you holding back with me???” and he admits he’s just scared he’ll hurt you

when you two are in private afterwards he’ll give you a soft kiss

at the end of the day, he’d rather watch you train rather than partake, he wouldn’t be able to live with himself if he hurt you, even in a controlled setting

he’s a big boy with anxiety, he’s terrified of hurting you and (unlike simon) he will voice his concerns to you

it will take A LOT of convincing

he stays on the defensive and sometimes never even lands a blow on you, which leads to him getting scolded

you will have to sit down with him and state that you’re not made of glass and that you’ll be fine, so he eases up and genuinely spars with you

however… he got a bit carried away with adrenaline, and he pinned you in a way that pulled a muscle in your shoulder

apologies. all the time, even after your muscle heals

please assure him everything’s okay bc he will genuinely start crying as if you hate him now 😭

it will take him a while to start training with you again, and this time he’s more aware of his strength and keeps you from genuine harm

you both get really competitive so it takes a while for anyone to tap out

i hc that gaz is into wrestling, so he’ll definitely imitate an announcer to make you laugh and hopefully catch you off guard

Tiyoin the voices got to me again. I was scrolling tho tik tok and came across a video ,and it reminded me that you mentioned reader doing a sport before attending twst in the singing au. Wanna give a guess what sport I saw??

It was ✨figure skating✨. Just imagine it for a sec. Do I know anything about skating?? No. But the idea of anxiety reader being one is beautiful. Especially since skating isnt a confrontation sports like soccer and, reader doesn't have to be in contact with someone while performing their act.

I see reader starting the sport when they were young. They may have seen it as a way to put themselves out there while doing something they enjoy and find relaxing. They didn't compete in big contests with thousands of people watching (girlie would not make it). They would only get to county or district level of the contest B4 the nerves got to them. Most likely self sabotages at the end so they wouldn't have to seen and judged by so many. Reader does has a few gold medals tho. Yuu has been their personal cheerleader for a few years now. Going to as many contests as he can to just support reader and know they're not alone.

What if there is a different competition (w/o a overblot hopefully) which a sport is picked randomly. Whether you want it to be a school vs school, dorm vs dorm or maybe grade vs grade you can decide. I think it could work with any of them. Like they pick a few people to represent their side and to complete. The ones that physically compete get prizes (💰) and the others get bragging rights and a 🍕 pizza party or smth like that idk.

I actually had a really big skating phase. still do and would love to have prof. lessons. i wanted to do it so. badly. my parents said 'no' and that it was too late for me, so i mourn that. believe it or not, i was in soccer and almost did it in college.

but the ice feeling so freeing whenever reader steps onto it. they're not worried about sweating because of ice, and they can move how the want when they want.

reader would 100 PERCENT self sabotage themselves. filling their head with nonsense and because of all those thoughts (especially) 'dont miss this spin, dont miss this spin' only to miss it because they were focusing on whether they would 'miss the spin or not')

After the 3rd one, you weren't sore at all. You've never been drunk before, just a little dizzy, and this time, it was a little different.

Sometimes, you felt sad because you didn't have the opportunity to be in a good and supportive team. You did 11 years of martial arts, and at the age of 16, you gave up because of your couch. He mentally abused you and manipulated you. He would shout at you and tell you that you are no one.

You've managed to be the World Champion at a young age because of your talent and hard work. A lot of people would tell you that you are a rear fighter, a Messi at this sport, but no one knew what you went through.

You hated going to training, and no one supported you, only your parents. They told you to give up because at some point you got sick and spent a few days at the hospital because of your overstress.

You were also badly injured, and when you told your couch about it, he told everyone that you were faking it.

You did a lot of recovery but found your strength to give up after being for so long in a toxic club.

The sport you did wasn't like football, where you could switch teams. You leave your team, you leave this sport.

It's been years, and you still miss the feeling of competition. You still look at some photos when you are still playing, and every time you get emotional.

You were thankful for being part of Barca and seeing how supportive everyone is here.

After you went home, still a little drunk (the reason you suddenly told your story for the first time), Gavi went to you and hugged you.

You were confused because he isn't a hug guy, but when he told you he heard your story, tears started to form again.

1. Are you named after anyone?

No. I wish I was, though. My grandmothers were Eva-Marie and Katherina respectively and I would've loved any combination of those. Mind you, I'm okay with my given name, it's rare and has a good ring to it and very hard to turn into stupid nicknames but it's never on any of those souvenirs that have names and as a kid, that was frustrating :D

2. When was the last time you cried?

Hm, not too long ago, I think, but long enough that I don't remember? Wait! There was a movie! Marriage Story, that made me cry! Such a good movie!

3. Do you have kids?

Four. The oldest is 15, the twins are 5 and the little one 2. (They are a horse and three cats ...)

4. What sports do you play/ have you played?

I did horseback riding when I was younger, then karate, had a streak of competitive swimming and I took ballroom dance lessons for 2 and a half years and earned my Gold Star level in them. When school got more demanding, I dropped almost all of that and started to gain weight to the point where sports hurt. I have recently lost a lot of it and have gone back to the Gym. I'm enjoying that a lot actually!

It was a pretty cloudy and sad day. Ussualy, I would stay home, watch a movie or just do nothing. Days like these always keep me down. However, my amazing friends dragged me outside againts my will and convinced me to spend a day like this outside. I had no idea what we could do outside. I was more of an introverted inside person, rather than a outdoosy golden retriever. “Change is good…” Chan tried to cheer me up with his father-like, “deep” qoutes. Everyone laughed. “Right Han, you need to get your stinky butt out your room!” I sighed. There was no escape. I was stuck with 7 other men that were comvinced to spend the day in our garden.

Even though it seemed something that Chan would come up with, this whole thing was Minho’s idea. That’s right, Chan was thinking about finishing some work today instead of goofing around outside.

Only a few minutes had passed and was already bored. “ Acctually, now that I think about it I had some very important work to do today… Unfortunetly I might have to miss out on this very fun activity” I tried to sound as dissapointing as could. “No you don’t. Just yesterday you said that you’d finish up some extra work to have today free” Minho said with the most mischevious smirk “Aww, how sweet. He wanted to spend the whole day with us…!”

I trusted Minho hyung very much, telling him things I wouldn’t tell anyone. I had been working very hard and just wanted a rest day, that’s why last night I stayed up a little too long to just have a rest day. Of course, I would use the excuse of having “lots of work” to miss out on whatever my bandmates were doing. I don’t mean to say that I hate them, I just wanted some alone time. Which of course I won’t get now…

“This is boring right?” Minho said as he squated down next to me. “YES! Can we go inside and watch a movie please?” “Well, if you were bored you should’ve said so! Let’s play a game.” I groaned.”What game? Football? You know I hate it!” He came closer and whispered in my ear “If you don’t play with us, I swear I will leave you breathless as soon as we go back inside” I knew what he meant. He would tickle me, zero mercy. So I inmeadiately got up and sugested a game myself. “Hey everyone, do you want to play football?” “Football? Sure!” “How unusual pf you, right Jisung? Since you were kind enough to sugest such fun activity, I’ll let you be captain of the first team, I’ll be captain of the second. You can choose first.” I blushed and nodded. “Hmm… I choose… Hyunjin!”

After a little while both teams were ready. However, Minho changed his mind and decided to do hyungs vs maknaes. So, my team was me, Felix, Seungmin and Jeongin. Minhos team consisted of him, Chan, Changbin and Hyunjin. I found it quite unfair, since the players on the hyungs team were quite better than on my team. But, after some convincing and threats (mostly by Minho), I gave in and the game started.

Hyungs vs maknaes wasn’t and uncommon team choice, not only in sports, but also with videogames, washing dishes, making food, cleaning and many other activities. Now, during more competitive stuff, like we were doing right now, our hyungs liked to get playful with punishments. If they were enduring each one of the members aegyo, standing with our back facing them, as each one of them kicked the ball at us and tickling, which was probably the most common.

Each hyung would choose who they want to torture. Now, did the maknaes ever get choose? Rarely. Especially in sports. They always promise to go easy, but that’s never the case and we always lose. Video games are a different story. However, when they do lose, they always somehow bargain their way out of the punishment, and if we do give tgem what they deserve, they always get us back ten times worse. Last time we played with teams like these, the maknae team, obviously lost. And guess who chose me? Minho. I hate love his wreckings. Maybe because he know all my spots, which I told him myself.

Felix was the goalkeeper, Seungmin defended and me and I. N. were the attackers. The opposite’s goalkeeper was Chan, Changbin-defender and Minho and Hyunjin were the attackers. Now, Minho wasn’t the best football player, but he liked pushing and attacking people for the ball that he couldn’t really handle himself.

Of course, we lost the first game. “Now, you know there’s a punishment for the losers~” Minho said. “Let’s do something different, hm? How about you first choose who did best in your whole team” Ussualy, I would be the most useless player of all, but today I gave Minho and the rest of the opposite team a taste of their own medicine by being rougher than ussual, giving me the power that I didn’t know I had. So, upon further discussion (and some bribing), the team chose me.

Perfect. I wanted to paly football for one reason and one reason only — to absolutely wreck Jisung. He had been all jumpy and annoying lately, and intended on spending today all alone. Those were all symptoms of a lee mood, and a pretty severe one. Ussualy, during one of his moods, he would ask me to satisfy it, but that hasn’t been the case. So, I intend on helping him.

Surprisingly, Jisung had done pretty good today, even winning a point or two, which weren’t nearly enough to win. I knew his team would choose him, but that was my plan. I was known for being the number one wrecker of all time, knowing everyone’s spots and only stopping when they were on the verge of death.

“Okay, I see you’ve chosen Jisung. You’ll be the last one to choose” “What, choose what?!” He was angry. Very angry and annoyed. “I.N.-ah, who do wanna be tickled by?” His eyes widened. “Umm… Channie hyung” “Seungmin, you?” “Shit, um Changbin hyung” “An-“ “Don’t even ask, Minho. It’s not you. Hyunjin it is…”

I’ve never seen a smirk so mischievous and unbearable. How can he smile like that, knowing that I’m gonna die? “Looks like you have no choice, Hannie” even though I closed my eyes, I could hear his stupid smile. “Now, we may change our minds if you can win this wrestle match!” Chan yelled. I knew they wouldn’t, but whatever, maybe if I’m more tired I’ll be tickled less. I saw everyone going for the person who they chose, so I ran up to Minho. And let me tell you, he was not prepared. I tackled him by the legs and he fell straight to the ground, I basically got the upper hand immediately. He was easy when jumped by surprised. I was fighting to keep him in place, if he got the upper hand I would be dead.

I tried to keep his body still by squeezing his hips with my thighs and grabbing his wrists. It was hard, but not impossible. He was caught off guard and hadn’t caught up yet, so I could win by being quick. But that obviously didn’t work. He swiftly gripped my wrist as I tried to keep his in place, and squeezed them so hard that I couldn’t even fight back, twisting my body and helplessly laying my head on his chest, begging for him to stop. Minho just laughed and smoothly, in one move, pinned me, crushing my legs with his thighs as having my hands fully pinned. Just like that, I had lost control and was conpletely helpless, laying below him. I hated loved him for that. How he could make me feel so strog yet so weak.

It is quite cute watching him, trying to overpower me. I let him at first, but once I see Jisung starting to get confident, I drop the act and attack for real. I decided to tease him a little, since he wasn’t completely exhausted, by poking his sides and stomach a few times. He twisted violently, but didn’t say anything.

The others were still fighting, trying to overpower eachother. However, I saw Jeongin starting to slowly give up and Chan pinning him with a wide smile. Felix was still fighting, threatening to bite Hyunjin, but immediately quiting when Hyunjin almost actually bit him, hysterically laughing and giving in. Seungmin and Changbin were still in the middle of a fight, with Seungmin winning. I wondered, how Changbin would be capable of punishing him in a position like this.

Han was still pinned beneath me, but much less tired, since I gave him quite some time to rest. I cought him staring at me and smiled. He was just waiting to get wrecked… “I think they lost once again!” Hyunjin shouted. “For sure” Changbin responded, struggling to keep Seungmin pinned under him. “Han said he wanted to go to the bathroom, I’ll keep him company, you can start”

Minho pulled me up by my arm “But I don’t wanna go to the bathroom…” “Oh yes you do, unless you wanna tickles in front of everyone right in our garden” I gulped. Minho knew that I didn’t preferably enjoy being wrecked in front of the rest of our friends. He pulled me into his room and plopped both of us down onto the bed “Arms up” He cassualy said. I hesitated “Don’t you know what that means? Look, like this!” He said, grabbing my wrists and pulling them above my head. “Thought you knew better… Now, I’ll let you choose yourself where to start” I stayed silent. It was far too flustering! How could I answer that. “Well? Too many choices right? You’re too damn ticklish everywhere~”

I had been in my worst lee mood ever the past week and Minho was NOT cooperating. He wasn’t getting any hints and seemed to be completely oblivious. And now, I could get what I wanted. “I’ll choose then, you leave me with no cho-“ “WAIT! Let me tell you something before you start” “Oh what is it?” “Don’t stop if I tell you. Only stop when you want to, ok?” Even Minho himself blushed “Okay, Hannie”

He started off slowly, by lighly squeezing my sides. I started giggling and twisting around immediately. I’ve waiting for this moment for so long, that I felt that i couldn’t take ANY light tickles, I just wanted Minho to wreck the shit out of me. “Minhohohohoho!” “Yehehehes?” did he have to do that? He surely didn’t “ Pleahehehehehehese!” “Please what? Please stop?” oh he definitely knew what he was doing, scratching my sides so lighly “Gohohosh JUST DO IT!” I let out the most flustered scream, but can ypu blame me? If I would’ve waited even the tiniest bit longer I swear the anticipation would’ve killed me already. “Why didn’t you just say so?” He cheerfully said, as he dug his fingers much more harshly “AHAHAHAHAHA LEHEHHEHEHE MINHOHOOHO” The silence was much more flustering. He was like a master, getting every spot that had been oh so hungry for his touch. Until then, I had kept my hands pretty far away from the attacker, but once he dug into my armpits, I couldn’t hold them up any longer. “OHOHOHOHOHOHOH MAHAHAHAHA GAHAHAOOHOHD! GAAHAHAH!” It tickled SO so good, this was exactly the feeling that I had been missing. He vibrated all five of his fingers into my right armpit by holding my right arm above my head. “ANAHAHAHAHAHATHHEHEHER SPOHOHOHOHOT PLEHEHEHEHEASE!” No matter how much I loved it, I knew I couldn’t take much of it in one spot.

I almost felt bad. Han was red, sweaty, teary eyed and hysterically laughing. But then, I remembered that he had BEGGED for me to not stop until I was satisfied (p.s. I was never satisfied) and was going to keep my promise. I was planning to stay on his armpits for a much longer time, but Jisung obviously wanted every single spot to be wrecked. I smiled. He’s just too cute. “Another spot, huh? And we’ve barely even started!” “AHAHAHAHA PLEHEHEHEHEHEHASEE ANOTHEHEHEHER SPOHOHOHT!” I couldn’t refuse when he begged like that, so I switched to counting ribs “One, two, three, fou- Hey! Quit shacking! I lost track of your ribs!” “SOHOHORRY, SOHOHO SOHOHORY!” “Well, I’m gonna have to recount…” His face was so red, I was beginning to get concerned “One, two- Again?! Han Jisung! We’re never finishing with you are we…” I tried to sound as disappointed as I could, but it was genuinely hard with that beutiful smile and angelic laugh of his “COUHAHHAHAHAHAHAHANT AGAHAHAHAIN PLEAHEHEHESE!” He was making me blush with words like these. His hopeless begging just made my stomach swirl. Since both of us were flustered, I decided to take over by showing zero mercy, just how he liked it. I fully extended my fingers and gripped all of his ribs “Ready?” “Nohohoho…!” He giggled in anticipation. And then I dug in, clawing his ribs like crazy. I even had to hold one of his arms down, that’s how bad it was “AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH PLEHEHEHEHSEPLEHEHEASE MIHIHIHIHIHINHOHOO!” I felt confident again, much better than when I was just as red and flustered as the little lee laying right beneath me. With one had clawing his ribs and the other squeezing and poking his abs and belly button, Han’s laughter went silent. Obviously I stopped, I didn’t want him tapping out! Even though he was still fighting back a little, I lightened the tickles to a stop. He giggled a little and caught his breath, but once he landed back on earth, a frown appeared on his face. “I told not to stop, hyung! Tickle me until I pass out! You’ve been an ass, not even satisfying my mood once this whole week. This is payback! Be rougher too.” Never in my life did I think I would hear that — Han Jisung scolding me for not wrecking him. “Oh, so you want zero mercy? Don’t even worry, because all you have to do is provoke me” “Remember when someone turned off the bathroom light while your were showring twice?” “Oh yes I do!” “…That was me.” He said with the most mischievous smirk of all time. Even more mischievous than mine! Believe it! “Oh, this is a much clearer request to be wrecked” I waisted no time as I dug deep into his thighs. And let me tell you, that got the biggest reaction so far. We almost bumped foreheads at how hard he sat up. “Wow, really ticklish here I see?” “YEHEHEHEHEHES,PLEHEHEHEASHHEHEHE DOHOHOHOHOHOHN’T STOHOHOHOP!”

Once I started begging Minho and provoked him, the tickling really started. My thighs are a pretty bad spot, which he of course started his real torture with. I was laughing very hard, but no matter how out of breath or tired I was, I wouldn’t let him stop me. After some more digging into my legs, I wanted him to switch spots. He doesn’t ussualy stay in one spot for long, how come he’s doing it now? Oh and mind you, he’s being extra rough with me now. “MINHOHOHOHOHOHO WAIHAHAHAHAHAHAIT, WAHAHAIT! STOHOHOPJDKA!” I couldn’t even finish my sentence when he dug in so deep and started very quickly pressing his fingers into the inner muscle of my thigh. “AHAHAHAHAHA OHOHOHOH MAHAHA GAHAHAHAHAHAHAH” I started flopping around like a worm, no matter how much I loved it, I couldn’t take it in one spot for long. Once he lighly slowed down, I recovered enough energy to say something that wasn’t just deep belly laughter “WahhahahaHAHait, MINhohoHOHO, StohHOHop foHOhor a minutehe” He seemed a bit worried “W-what is it? Was I too rough? I’m sorry if I was, I-I mean that’s what I thou-“ “No! No it’s totally not that! Why do you stay in one spot only? Switch around! You know I can’t take it when you stay in one spot!” the worried expression on his face melted away almost immediately and got replaced by a flustered blushing one “O-okay…” He suddenly grabbed my calf and started squeezing the top of my knee. And I lost it “GAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA MINHOHOHOHOHOHOHO AHAHAHAHA” This was the best one yet.

At this point, it was starting to get annoying. I was the ler, yet he kept on flustering me, I felt like a such a child! His knees are possibly one of his worst spots, which I am wrecking right now. This gives the best reaction so far. He bucks his hips side to side, trying to control his movements as best as possible. I started squtching between squeezing the bottom and top of his kneecaps, just how he asked me. Even though it feels kind of weird, tickling him per his request, but I just want to see him happy. I’m sure everyone is done with the punishment now, but Han doesn’t seem to want this to stop. Not yet. Jisung had begged to be wrecked until he he tapped out. But could he handle it? I decided to test it out, as that is something I’ve never done. “Hannie, are you sure you want to be tickled until you pass out?” I’m not even sure how any sentence could be processed in the state he is right now “YEHEHEHEHEHHES YOU AHAHAHAHASSHOHOHOLE DOHOHOHONT EVEHEHEHN AHAHASK ANYMOHOHORE!” No matter how much he begged, I just couldn’t be sure. Jisung was completely red, wet from his own sweat and tears and seemed to be exhausted. I switched back to his upper body, sticking my arms into his armspits once again “PLEHEHEASHEHEHAHEHEHSE! MINHOHOHOHOHOHO!” by now I would’ve completely stopped, but was afraid to get scolded by a red and sweaty Han again. With one hand stuck in between his arm and side and another rubbing my knuckles into his ribs, I knew he would pass out any moment now. “AHAHAHAHAHAHA MINHOHOH HHYUHUHUhuhuhung” his laughter went silent, almost too silent. Then, I looked up to his face. Oh. my. God. I could not believe what I had just done. I loved punishing people with tickles, but never this far! I almost felt guilty, but then remembered how desperately he begged for this.

“Ummm… What is going in here?” Chan slowly walked inside the room. “Oh my! Is he dead? Did you kill him?! I swear Lee Minho…” “NO! No its not like that!” “Then what is it like?! Because all I see is a lifeless Han, laying in your bed!” “I don’t know if I should say this… It’s actually a secret of his.” “Just tell me, I promise I won’t tell anyone. I’m just worried for my child!” “He wanted this” “What?” “He wanted this.” “Wanted what? To die?” “No, idiot! He wanted to be tickled until he passes out!” “Oh… That is-“ “I know, it’s weird! But he loves it, ok? I just wanted to give him what he-“ “That is cute. Like, actually! He likes it? I mean, I kind of could tell…”

I woke up to loud yelling and rambling. As I oppened my eyes, exhaustion hit me. Then I remebered why I was tired, hell, why was I even passed out. And then a smile crept onto my face. I remember perfectly why: because Minho wrecked so hard and the best part — I asked him to do it. “Look, he’s awake! Hey Hannie, is it true that you love tickles~?” My eyes widened in shock “N-n-no, I hate it! Minho, did you say anything?!” Minho had a panicked expression on his face “It wasn’t my fault! He asked why you were passed out!” I closed my eyes and groaned in embarrassment “You are the cutest Hannie!~~” Chan said as he jumped on me and hugged me “Eww! You’re so smelly and disgusting! Why are so sweaty and wet?!” A pink blush spread across my face and I covered it with my hands. “Please stop! I’m tired! Didn’t Minho tell you anything?” “Oh, right, you must be exhausted from your private tickle session~~” “SHUT UPPP!” “Okay, okay I’m leaving…” Channie left with the most dimply smile ever. “Now, mr. Lee we must have a talk…” “I thought you were the lee~” “Yah! Enough teasing now! Why did you tel him that~ It’s so embarrassing!~” “ It’s really not a big deal! He promised he wouldn’t tell anyone, so don’t even worry-“ “HAN JISUNG DO YOU REALLY LIKE TICKLES?!?!?!”

I - like my opinion I guess, obviously? I'm not sure I could narrow my faves down to three or even to five but I can try. I'm going to do top 6 I think. That would fit better for me.

I don't really know if that's THE order because it changes around a lot. But...Those are my top six for sure. The why's are really silly and not technical and probably useless to explain but George for me is a world championship contender (not this year) but in general, in a good car. He has so much untapped potential we've not even seen yet. He's ambitious without being a cunt (some people think he's a cunt, idk, I don't see it), his heart is on his sleeve openly and proudly and I love that for him/about him. Show me more emotional men in sports pls. He has the talent, the drive, the ability - but not the car. I could see George, if put in a competitive car again, world champ in a few years really.

Alex is an AMAZING driver. Yadda yadda, he crashed 2x, yadda yadda, Williams, yadda yadda el oh el chassis, blah blah blah. I don't really want to hear all that when you look at the car he's stuck with. That kid can drive, he wasn't BAD with Red Bull he just wasn't up to their standards, but you put him back in a car like that and give him a year or two and he's there. I will never not talk about Alex's talent. He is incredible and I hate to say it but it is simply this: no one does well in that Williams car. He also needs to come out into a better team, better car, and start working his way up to where he can be comfortable driving with the big teams.

Pierre is another one with untapped potential. His story is tragic and I don't like to talk about him too long because it makes me sick. He himself I'm sure is just fine and having a great time and doesn't need/want defending, but I don't like it. I see it in him, that passion is so strong I can feel it radiating off of him. People don't like him because he's been bitchy and unhappy recently but can you blame him? Look what he's got to work with. He's a race winner and he's stuck back of the pack in a car that looked so goddamn promising when he signed his contract and ended up eating absolute dogshit. You can say Red Bull gave him a chance and they did (sort of), and maybe they were right in saying he wasn't ready for THAT just yet - but he is SO much better than where he is right now and has fought so much harder and gone through so much, and he deserves to be in a car that fights as hard as his heart does. Period. I could easily see him being in a place where Lando is right now, in a decent car.

Lando and Oscar I just think are good. Period. Lando has his moments where he chokes and I think people are really, really hard on him for it but I'd really love to see them hop in a car and do what he does :) Things happen. Literally all you have to do is accidentally turn the wheel a little more than you planned (which we've all done in our regular cars, I'm CERTAIN) but going as fast as he is, that can be a catastrophic mistake. That's the pressure they're all under, and they all make mistakes. And Lando is a nervous little bunny sometimes, so I think that doesn't help, but the point still stands: they all make mistakes. Lando gets too much shit for his, period. He's a fantastic driver. Oscar is incredibly talented - without even bringing up his age, because I feel like it's backhanded "wow he's great for his age" nah mate he's just great. He's working his way up and doing really really well and just getting better and better. He's a strong competitor, don't sleep on him.

I think we all know about Charles Leclerc's ability and potential, his heart, his passion, what fuels him and what his team does to him. I don't think I need to deep dive too far into this one. Loyal to a fault, gets his own heart broken too much by bad calls - but probably one of the most razor fast reflexes on the grid and overflowing in natural talent. And he's not a dick, which we love. Please don't confuse "sometimes being a dick" with being a dick overall as a person - they are not the same thing. I am sometimes a bitch, I am not a bitch as a whole. He can and hopefully will world champ before George.

ARE YOU NAMED AFTER ANYONE?: No! Well, yes, after a character in Greek mythology, but not after a parent or grandparent or anything like that.

WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU CRIED?: Yesterday. I was reading the Iliad again for an anon ask and was going through the part where Achilles kills Hector and oooh that scene got hands 🥲 I cry a lot though, I'm a crier, and a lot of the time it's about patrochilles so it's par for the course really lol

DO YOU HAVE KIDS?: Nope.

WHAT SPORTS DO YOU PLAY/HAVE YOU PLAYED?: I'm fairly active generally but I don't play sports at all because I don't like them. I tried several sports while in school before accepting that I simply don't like team sports and I'm not good at them, but I had much more fun with solo sports. I swam for several years somewhat competitively, and I also did track for a while. 

DO YOU USE SARCASM?: I think so? But usually only with people I'm very comfortable with, because I can never know what would go down well or not with a person I don’t know. 

WHAT IS THE FIRST THING YOU NOTICE ABOUT PEOPLE?: That’s hard to answer because I feel like it depends on the situation. Most of the time, it's body language and their general vibe. Meeting new people can be nerve wracking so I try to "read" them and act accordingly, if that makes sense? I don't want to step on any toes or say the wrong thing so figuring out what the other person's mood or interests might be usually helps. But that often means I miss out on other things on first encounter, like... their eyes or smile or something?? Lol idk man, socialising while on the spectrum is hard 🥲

WHAT'S YOUR EYE COLOUR?: Brown.

SCARY MOVIES OR HAPPY ENDINGS?: I think I'll pick scary movies because I do like horror and dark stuff and I don't care if the ending is happy or not as long the story is interesting. 

ANY TALENTS?: it took me so long to think of something for this and I honestly don't know? I'm assuming by 'talents' we mean something you're born with, not something you've worked hard at like some kind of craft, right? In that case, I think I have pretty good visual memory, especially when it comes to books and articles and such, or the written word in general. Oh and I'm weirdly good at orientation, I can usually find my way no matter where I am. Which isn't such a huge deal now in the era of google maps, but back when there was no gps it was a pretty useful skill to have haha. 

WHERE WERE YOU BORN?: Greece.

WHAT ARE YOUR HOBBIES?: Writing, reading, gaming, crocheting, drawing, going to museums! I'm constantly on the look out for new exhibitions and stuff, it's my favourite thing in the world to do.

FAVOURITE SUBJECT IN SCHOOL?: Oh god I freaking hated school, absolutely hated it LOL I can't think of one thing I liked in it. I guess I only enjoyed the very last year of high school when I was preparing for the Panhellenic exams because like... it felt like there was finally some kind of purpose or reason to be there at all, even though there was a lot of pressure. I loved Ancient Greek, Latin, History and Philosophy. 

DREAM JOB?: I don't have one, I don’t dream of labour 🙃 I don't think there's any sort of job anyone could do in this capitalist hellscape we're all currently living in that would be enjoyable enough to make up for, well... living in a capitalist hellscape lol. If I could, I'd just go back to uni, probably. That was my happy place and I miss it. And I'd also write a bunch and read a bunch and take up all sorts of creative hobbies, and probably travel more.

Nope. I don't know if I want to or not. I definitely wanna nurture one tho, and they don't necessarily have to be my own, if that makes sense.

What sports do you play/have you played?

I don't like sports, but I like badminton because it's a childhood game.

Less than I should. I don't know why.

What's the first thing you notice about people?

I'm very disinterested in strangers when I really don't wanna socialise, so I don't really look at people, but maybe the voice since I can never ignore that.

Hate that word, "talent", because it's a confusing word. Do you mean talent as in the natural aptitude of a person? In that definition, I think I'm pretty talented. I was one of the high achievers because I have a natural aptitude for studying. I know how to study and I comprehend things better than other kids. I'm a fast learner. My intuition is great. I can retain information well. I analyse things well. I'm lazy and easy to get bored tho, and that's why I was one of the high achievers. Related to that I would put languages as my talents. I'm pretty natural with it; English, Mandarin, Japanese, Korean... I absorb them as I go naturally. I learn English by myself. I remember most of what I learned from random medias. But because I never apply them (except for English), I'm not fluent at all. My piano teacher said I had a musical talent, and I did win a few piano competitions, and I passed Grade 8 ABRSM, but that's SO mediocre in the classical music world, I don't really think it counts. I have not even practised for years. I actually think I'm more natural at singing, but I never received formal training. And I'm sure there are more. These are pretty "eh", ain't it, because it stops at that?

If you mean talent as in skills, then my biggest skill is literature and story-telling. It's also one of my few passions. I don't say "writing" because that's still hard to do (especially if it's in English, it's not my native language), but I do learn in my own time, I know lots about it, and I still wanna learn more. This also applies to English. What's more? I'm pretty good at cooking, I guess. I'm not a master chef, but I can cook you dishes, definitely. The only thing that prevents me from cooking more is my lack of money. This is a soft skill, but I would put "organising" too. I love organising and I'm natural at it.

For me, talents should pair with effort and practice. People should strive to have more skills if they have the means! Because of that, I much prefer asking people what are their passions and I kinda dislike complimenting people with "you are so talented!" because nah, they practise a lot behind the screen and you just never see it! ...Wait a minute, what am I doing, writing a self-development book? 💀 This is supposed to be a fun thing. Reading stories (currently it's fanfiction), listening to music, window shopping, watching films and shows, playing games, relaxing in cafes, and eating. Those are like last year and I want to feel that again.

Yes, I have a dog and she's a supermutt and she's a rascal and her name is Marie and she's the reason why my pain tolerance is great.

1. Are you named after anyone?

Allegedly named after my mom's favorite author, but my first and middle combo was basically the default name for girls in my class growing up. It was her second choice of a name which is disappointing considering her first choice was awesome. Instead I am literally Trendy McTrendName for the year I was born.

2. When was the last time you cried?

I don't really cry unless I have gone through something life altering or am very, very drunk. As such I'm guessing the last time was last St. Patrick's Day, as it likely will be again tomorrow.

3. Do you have kids?

No, never wanted them

4. What sports do you play/have you played?

Competitive swimming was my entire life from elementary school on until I had to dial it back and eventually quit in college (too many injuries). I also did a fair amount of skiiing/snowshoeing/hiking/kayaking/etc growing up. In my 20's I got very into distance running but had to quit in 2019 because of (new and different!) injuries. These days I mostly do running (though less than before) and weights. Since the TikTok brigade took over my gym post-pandemic, I have been trying to somehow build a home gym in my 800 sq ft apartment and at this point I am only a stationary bike away from being free of them forever.

You could say so, yes

6. What’s the first thing you notice about people?

Honestly I am usually trying so hard not to make eye contact with people that I don't see much of anything. I suppose the honest answer is that I can tell if their body language is genuine or fake. And to really answer it, eyes and also arms. I love that my husband can pick me up like it's nothing what can I say ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I am pretty indifferent to scary movies though I do enjoy them from time to time. I do like happy endings mostly because I hate loose ends. It's okay if they're bittersweet though.

are you named after anyone? not technically, ive asked my parents multiple times about How they came up with me and my siblings names, but they just. didnt think very hard about it. fjkdlsjfdlas. but in a way im named after my mom, because me and saturns given names start with the same letter as our moms; my younger siblings names start with the same letter as our dads. i guess me and saturn could also be named for one of my dads uncles?? our names mixed make that uncles name. but idk im not willing to believe my dad cares that much about Anyone in his family to honor their memory through our names lawl

when was the last time you cried? i think the other day watching atla, when zuko and iroh reunite before the final battle. zuko trying to stumble through an apology and thinking iroh must hate him, but iroh just without even saying anything grabbing zuko and pulling him into a tight and tearful hug... man ;_;

what sports do you play? i dont play any sports anymore, but up until high school i played softball. i was pretty good i think! pitcher and second base. also in middle/high school i was a baton twirler for band and i guess dance competitions (i have Never thought of it as 'dance' but i guess technically i was dancing... blegh), and im gonna count that as a sport. any activity with the possibility and probability of being hit on the head by a metal rod counts as a sport to me

This is going to be a long post, but it's just me explaining a funny thing that happened to me which then turned into an interesting conversation with my best friend.

To preface this--no one was offended, not me, not my boss, not my friend, no one. It was actually a funny interaction that happened, but I wouldn't have fully seen it in this particular way I'm going to describe, had it not been for my friend. Again, my boss is a very cool, kind, funny, personable man. But, he also is still...a man. So, onto the story.

My job is in the kind of industry where, much to my dismay, a lot of business happens on golf courses. We're constantly in tournaments, our partners want to discuss projects, work, potential opportunities, etc etc while playing a round of golf. And I, unfortunately, know how to play golf. I've done it since I was a kid, competed in high school (wasn't the best, but wasn't the worst), I just hate the sport. I hate everything about it. And I told my boss when he asked, "yes, I know how to play, but I really, really don't like it." Now, am I going to have to play? Yes. But generally how these tournaments work it's much easier and much more fun than competitive golfing. But, I digress.

So it's one evening and my boss invites me to go hit some golf balls at the range. I say yes because it meant I didn't have to go to the gym, and it was a gorgeous day outside. So we show up and we start at the chipping area. (For those who don't know golf, chipping is referring to the area just outside of the green. It's a very, very short distance and its just practicing short hits up onto where the flag/hole is. So, not hard). But he's giving me some pointers about where to place the ball in my stance, relative to the slope of the ground, yada yada. And I grew up an athlete; I'm coachable, I listen whenever someone is giving me direction, so I take in what he's saying and do as he suggests. At first, I thought it was kind of interesting he was giving me pointers anyway, seeing that I never asked, but I was like "eh, he likes the sport, wants to share what he knows, cool." Didn't bother me.

But then it gets funny. So I'm hitting a few balls and after every hit he goes "wow, that's really good." Every. Hit. And I'm not saying this to boast, I don't care. I said thanks. But I literally thought to myself, "is he going to say this after every shot I take today?" I was genuinely wondering why he kept saying "that's really good". Again, I'm not trying to draw attention to the compliment, just setting up the point.

But I keep hitting and don't say anything meanwhile after every hit he's just ~amazed~. So he realizes I don't need any more pointers on chipping so he's like "Okay, you get it. You don't need this, let's go." And we go to the driving range. (For those who don't know, the driving range is where everyone is stationary and they're just hitting balls off into the distance.) We get to our spot and he's like "okay, show me what's going on." And I kind of look at him but don't say anything. Like "why did he say it like that?" Again, laughing on the inside because all his commentary was just interesting. I grab my bread-and-butter club, aka the club I always hit well no matter what. Take my practice swing and then hit the ball for real and it goes dead straight, a hundred yards. Boom. Whatever. I look at him and his face is surprised, but neither of us say anything, and I hit two or three more dead straight, no issues. And finally, he goes "What did you say you needed help with?" Completely puzzled at how well I'm doing. And I say (which I totally meant to come out as a joke but it really just landed more sassy) "I never said I needed help." And he busts out LAUGHING. I mean we're cracking up, and I was like "It's true!". Anyway, I can't live it down to this day, right, and this happened three weeks ago.

Flashforward to my conversation with my bestie and why I'm writing this post. But she pointed out to me as I was retelling the story that men hear "I don't like X" as "I'm not good at X and therefore I don't like it." And, subsequently "But if you teach it to me, then I'll love it." And the way that blew my mind! Because I was just reacting as I always do whenever I do sports, especially (and usually) with a guy around; they're always shocked at what I'm capable of doing. And her saying that made me realize men will always hear what you're saying as a way of saying we're unable, and therefore need their help, because we just fail or suck on our own. And again, not dissing my boss. The whole thing was lighthearted and he meant well. But it's interesting that there's always this level of misogyny laced through a man's thinking that they always have something to teach us and can make us like something that we don't, and we're always looking to be showed how to do things. Just because we don't like something doesn't mean its because we are bad at it and will love it "once we have help". Like no. I just don't like golf. I never said I was bad at it. Ever. I never even eluded to that assumption. Just men and their superiority complex interpret everything as "oh, she's asking for my help, she just doesn't know it yet". Its what John Oliver said in his clip about people and their UFO sightings, but with a twist. "What you think you heard depends on what you were expecting to hear". It's the same way men assume my bestfriend is stupid because she's a blonde and she runs.

do you make your bed? i definitely should, and i absolutely do not lol

what's your favorite number? i've had a personal fondness for 13 ever since i was a kid, but i also really enjoy the number 117. for nerd reasons

what is my job? that's. a moving target tbh. during the school year, i worked as a TA at my university, while working weekends at a coffee shop as a baker. now that it's summer, i'm going to have to get a second job, but the jury's still out on what that's going to be.

if you could go back to school would you? i am currently in school, and i'm hoping to get a PhD, so i don't think i'll be going back to school right now, lol. but in a hypothetical future, just to do whatever? absolutely. i would get another bachelors in neuroscience or some other field of biology, probably for medical research.

can you parallel park? absolutely. but i fuckin hate it, lol, and being on the road makes me nervous, so i avoid it at all costs. but i can do it

a job you had that would surprise people? dunno if i have anything in my history that has been surprising. i guess the lab technician one is kind of the outlier.

do you think aliens are real? yeah, but it's probably microbial life of some sort.

can you drive a manual car? i learned the basics, but all i can really do is drive in circles in a parking lot in second gear. my mom tried to get me to drive it on the road and i got scared, lol, so i never fully learned how to do it.

what's your guilty pleasure? honestly it's TV from the 70s. begrudgingly i have to admit i like CHiPs. Emergency! is a non-guilty pleasure, though. love that one with my whole heart. but a lot of older stuff has some... pretty not great politics involved, but i still really enjoy them. also have to admit that i really like those terrible Dan Brown movie adaptations, lol

tattoos? i want at least 3 and have plans, but i haven't found an artist yet to get them. but i don't have any as of yet.

favorite color? tbh it depends on my mood. the goth in me says that it's a deep burgundy or a velvety black, but really deep greens or very vivid sky blue is also very good. saturated jewel tones as a color class are my jam, i guess.

favorite type of music? this is a cruel question to ask me. i have so many. i've been on a real rammstein/alt metal/nu-metal kick lately, but i also really go for folk, hard rock, prog rock, and 1980s new wave music. but i'll listen to just about anything. if i'm going for orchestral music, i have to say minimalism all the way. i adore the work of philip glass and arvo part

do you like puzzles? absolutely, in any form. jigsaw puzzles are really soothing and engaging, but i also adore puzzle games. i've revisited the Portal franchise lately, and i have a game series called The Room (not the movie...) that's only a series of puzzles. they can be frustrating, but i adore them

any phobias? i am a deeply anxious person, but i am petrified of fire. it's kind of unreasonable. bugs and germs also make me lock up really hard, too, even though i can rationalize my way through them. but all of them freak me out really badly.

favorite childhood sport? oh it was definitely competitive swimming. soccer was really really fun, but i miss being on the swim team. though i did like 5 sports growing up and truly would just love to have joints that would let me do any of them again

do you talk to yourself? oh yeah. internal and external monologue, baby. my college friends got to be on a call yesterday and listen to me talk my way through editing papers, lol. i talk to myself while doing laundry, cleaning, just walking through the house or from my car to my place. truly, i never shut up

what movie(s) do you adore? there are a lot, honestly. Castle in the Sky, Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind, Crimson Peak, Pacific Rim, The Nice Guys, and For A Few Dollars More are probably the movies i've watched the most. also literally any Dan Bluth film. the animation is always so gorgeous

coffee or tea? definitely tea. i love herbal teas, but i can't do caffeine, so like. there are only so many things i can drink now, lol

first thing you wanted to be growing up? paleontologist. hands down. i wanted to be a paleontologist from age like 6 until 15 or 16. then i had to do a research project on what jobs are growing and found out there aren't many job openings. so i pivoted to music. and then music academia. lol. lmao (i say it cynically, but i genuinely love what i'm doing, it's just funny to me)
