okay so I'm still figuring out some stuff for my mostly-safe-for-work CoS game and I just finished reading the Krezk chapter, and

it's like

it's like a clown car

except all of the clowns are horror tropes

and they're all fighting over each other to get your attention and prove that they're the nastiest boy, but you can barely see into the metaphorical car to begin with because it's absolutely packed

and then you read the "Something Blue" section and the metaphorical car is suddenly hit by a semi that ran off the road

i don’t have the mental capacity to write a full report on my thoughts for the chuuoku stage, but here’s a condensed list for you lol:

i hated the amount of singing in it and while i can get a gold medal in mental gymnastics to justify it, i still don’t want it lol

otome has the voice of an angel tho LOL

i regret having poked around for spoilers bc nemu experiencing her very own betrayal, the aohitsugi right of passage lol, would have been even more devastating if i didn’t know it was coming

but it did add an additional layer of comedy on inori’s end lol she really did just lie to nemu about not being spy when it really was her ass LOL

having that knowledge that inori would betray her made me notice more clues tho like the way tsukuyomi’s and hers mics paralleled each other’s and they showed those off in the opening dance number lol

could literally cry all day about nemu being brainwashed and the times it started weakening was when she was wondering if she really hated her brother and when she was standing up to chuuoku on behalf of the friendship she had with inori TO BREAK FREE FROM THE TRUE HYPNOSIS MIC ITS DEPENDENT ON BONDS YALL

AND THE WAY NEMU REFUSED TO FIGHT INORI JUST LIKE SAMATOKI REFUSED TO FIGHT SASARA WHEN HE WAS BRAINWASHED AAAAAAAAAAAAAAUUUUGH—

could also cry all day over ichijiku she was mmmfrrtfghpgf and i just really liked how you could tell she was soft on nemu, like very soft, but was still trying to maintain the leader/subordinate relationship they have like uwu honestly

Y’know what makes me crazy. Laurence has spent so much of his life in the New Sequence. He’s incredibly dedicated to their cause. Even putting aside the sunk cost fallacy here, it’s not incorrect to say that he’s built his entire sense of identity around the role he plays in Zelo’s Town. To go against the Sequence is going against the work of the two people he loved most dearly in the world, and everything he helped create. So it’s nearly impossible for him to like, ever consider defecting.

Because like- despite alllll of this, there’s still a set of circumstances where he’d leave. Leave with regrets, yes, with what-ifs maybe. But he would leave!

The only possible way Laurence leaves the Sequencers is if Bev has 1. Already skiddaddled and 2. Asks him.

At the end of the day, Laurence has always been more loyal to the Beverley family than he’s been to the Sequence. He’d never take the chance of possibly coming to blows with his kid someday. So he’d just… go.

i dont think i will ever be over nandor tying guillermos cape with such care and focus. that moment its possibly my favourite from the finale NANDOR ACTS OF SERVICE GUY MAKES ME WANNA CLIMB A WALL and the way hes putting guillermo on equal ground now makes my heart grow 3 sizes

and to be honest i dont think they can go back to where they were before. for anyone whos worried. like yeah he told him “now clean up the body” after he reverted back to human but to me that was more like nandors brain going like. “i cooked now you clean”. he went through such a tremendous amount of work to help guillermo. he had the empathy to recognise the problem. he thought it through concocted a plan. he got the robes and the candles and he painted and hung those banners. he held a fakeass ceremony with all their friends and elders so it looked official. he then also comforted guillermo when he couldnt do it and staked derek himself without a second thought. so maybe its was more of a. i pulled you out of a very hairy situation. can you take care of the body now? (also it IS gonna be hard to let go of certain habits so maybe some comments like this are gonna slip out next season, but that is just because they are useless and in guillermos absence the house fucking imploded in one year lmao… maybe guillermo is gonna teach them how to take care of it themselves next season so they can split the workload and cute shenanigans will ensue)

i just dont think it was mean spirited on nandors part tbh. LAZLO even offered to help. i dont think that was just to have him in the next scene i dont think an unusual detail like that could be just for convenience. i do FULLY believe they are gonna all be on equal grounds next season. and thats gonna be so fucking delicious to me specifically
