Random stuff about the castle au that haunts my mind
- Obi-Wan studied PPE at the stewjoni equivalent of oxbridge but didn't vibe with politics at all and decided to keep away from all that.
(More under cut)
- The third chapter was going to be entirely from Obi-Wan's pov, so in the Mandalore part, when Anakin talks about his job Obi-Wan is like 'oh shit did I not pay him enough, is that why he didn't consider staying, maybe I should get him a place where he can work as a mechanic so he is happy' (plus, and this comes from the third chapter comments, when Anakin finally comes back Obi-Wan DOES get him a garage so he can be a vintage car mechanic, as a treat)
In the end it was in Anakin's pov because I wanted his reaction to Obi-Wan's gift
- While we are at it, how did Obi-Wan get the sweater to Anakin: he knew Anakin was moving to the same city Satine lives in so he pre-delivered it to her. When Anakin moved, Obi-Wan asked him for a picture of his building, or Anakin sent a picture where you could see out the window and Obi-Wan had Satine put all her power into finding the building and making sure Anakin had moved there (without him funding out) of course Satine made fun of him rentlessly and teased him about his stalkerish methods
- The Obi-Wan pov also allowed me to do:
"while you are here you are mine.”
“I’m yours.” Obi-Wan answers, and he doesn't add a limit to it.
- Anakin gets Obi-Wan this mug
Tumblr media
- In the original idea for the second chapter, Anakin stayed a month longer to see and participate in the highland games their town celebrates each year. Ultimately it would have made the chapter too long for my liking so I scratched it.

i have opinions on star wars watching order.
i have seen a lot of reactions on youtube as reactions are probably my favorite niche genre of youtube video.
i’ve seen people advocate for
release order
chorological order
machete order (episodes 4,5, 2-3 and than 6 but minus 1)
the only real answer imho is release order for first viewings and than whatever order you want on subsequent viewings. yes, technically, it can be watched in any order and i will never say you can’t do that. it will still make sense for the most part. i’m just saying i think it would lack a lot of context. the original trilogy informs the prequel trilogy.  the movies inform the shows. the shows enhance the movies and deepen the lore of the universe as a whole.
i also feel like watching them in release order makes sense within the pop culture zeitgeist.
one of the beautiful things about the prequels is the dramatic irony. the audience should already be aware of the tragedy that awaits anakin, padme and obi wan. the only mystery should be how it plays out not the destination.
not watching episode 1? look, i get that it can be a bit dry, jar jar can be rough and not everyone is weirdly obsessed with in-universe politics like i am but it adds context and backstory. young anakin informs the darth vader we see later in the originals. the duel of the fates is a seminal moment that creates the trajectory of anakin’s path,, the jedi’s resistance in training anakin, anakin meeting padme and obi wan, palpatine’s rise to chancellor -- those are important plot details that impact the story later.
i’m only talking about this because i watched a youtuber who has been watching in chronological order and seeing her reaction to rogue one without having seen a new hope --- i think loses a portion of it’s impact without that context.
star wars is a modern living mythology. tales get repeated, paralleled, mirrored and emphasized, pieces are created and discarded depending on who is telling the story and when. it’s fascinating really.

Clem can we have more soft moments in the Jedi but ennemies AU after the last two asks pretty please ? Honestly it always bugged me how in Clone Wars they really made Obi-Wan go through all the slave shit and barely addressed it when it was all over. I mean through all the Zygerria arc and even after Plo Koon saved the day, Obi-Wan looked like he went through hell and back … which he did… and they never went through the recovery part… I know it’s a show for kids but if whipping a character (which is so violent I was so uncomfortable watching this scene and i saw it for the first time last year and I was 22) can be shown so well so should be is his recovery
Anyway season 4 was not kind on Obi-Wan … sorry for rambling I had to get it out of my system 😅
So can we have a hug or an awkward taking care of each other masked by casualness with vulnerability moments since they both realized they went through the same slave deal when they were younger please 🥺🥺
Oh and I’m in love with the falling up serie I was so glad it was updated few days ago !!!
I'm so glad you're enjoying the falling up series! Shatou and I are really happy with what we're planning for the rest of the story, and of course she's doing a phenomenal job with the writing ❤️❤️
I didn't remember which specific episodes were in season 4 so I went to check, and like. Kidnapped, where Obi-Wan gets voluntarily beat up by a slaver in order to give Anakin and Ahsoka time, Slaves of the Republic & Escape from Kadavo where he's a prisoner in slave mines, then the whole Deception arc, and THEN Maul coming back from nowhere to send him a 'surprise bitch' message before beating him up with his brother (and bonus! season 5 starts right away with Adi Gallia being killed in front of him :))))
basically the end of season 4 is just this poor guy going through it and it feels like all of it is happening in like, one week in hell
So for the Jedi but enemies AU, what about some awkward comfort?
I can see Anakin not having the best of time either after the whole business on Zigerria, and wanting to annoy Obi-Wan to relax. So he goes to Obi-Wan's apartment but Obi-Wan doesn't answer and he's like "he's not even here when I want him here, unbelievable" and then slices into his door security and decides that he's going to make himself a hot chocolate in Obi-Wan's apartment to wait for him (because he knows Obi-Wan got some very nice cocoa from Qui-Gon for his last name day and said 'that's nice' in the kind of voice that definitely meant he would never touch it)
so here he is, doing his own thing in Obi-Wan's open kitchen like he owns the place, and suddenly a quiet voice says "what are you doing" and Anakin jumps and almost breaks his mug in surprise. "What the hell," he says, taking a few cautious steps into the living room and here is Kenobi, lying on the couch with his hands on his stomach like he's getting ready to be placed in a coffin or something, in his inner tunic, hair a mess. He doesn't even look at Anakin, eyes fixed on the ceiling.
"What were you doing lying there in the dark?" "I'm fine." "Yeah, that's not what I asked."
Kenobi blinks at the ceiling.
So, Kenobi is not fine.
Anakin gets it. They had a pretty terrible month. Kenobi even more than him. He truly gets it.
In the end, he doesn't add anything. But he does make two mugs of cocoa. "Scoot over," he mumbles, pulling Kenobi's legs up and sitting on the couch when he doesn't react, before putting them down on his lap. Kenobi doesn't make any comments about it. Doesn't even try to protest. Not even when Anakin uses the Force to snatch the blanket on the other side of the room, or turns on the holoprojector. Not even when Anakin settles on a boring documentary about colourful birds on a planet they will never see.
The only reaction he gets happens almost twenty minutes later, when Anakin can't handle to see one of the baby birds falling from their nest to be left to die, and fumbles around for the remote. "No, wait," Kenobi says, still quiet, but more certain. More like himself. "I want to see if the rest of the nestlings survive."
Anakin sighs. He squeezes Kenobi's knee gently.
They better survive.
Or else he will have to be the one laying down on Kenobi.

Suicidal Misunderstanding Part VI - Star Wars Time Travel AU
Part I - - - - -  Part II - - - - - Part III - - - - - Part IV - - - - - Part V
Anakin watched Obi-Wan through the stalks for several minutes. He could see him kneeling at the base of the waterfall, occasionally glancing around, as if searching for someone. Just when he was about to break and interrupt him, Obi-Wan stood and walked over. They sat together on the low bench, surrounded by the carefully cultivated colored fungi.
“Obi-Wan...maybe we should talk about what’s going on with you. Whatever it is, I’m here for you.” Anakin offered hesitantly.
Obi-Wan tensed, hands clenching in his lap.
“No.”
“Master Windu and Bant both seemed to think this isn’t a drug thing. Please, let-”
“That wasn’t what I was saying no to.”
Obi-Wan stood and began threading a path through the mushrooms, careful not to step on any of the smaller ones. Anakin was forced to follow directly in his footsteps, not wanting to risk damaging something Obi-Wan clearly seemed to care about, but wishing he could look at his Master’s face.
“Did I ever tell you about Bruck Chun?” Obi-Wan asked.
“No. Who’s Bruck?” Anakin responded with deliberate patience.
“He was an old crechemate of mine, quite gifted, though he had a temper. There have been times you remind me of him. We were rivals.” They were approaching the end of the alcove, a large stone overhang throwing them in to shadow.
“Were?”
“He died. When we were twelve.”
When they reached the rock face, Obi-Wan started climbing straight up. Anakin followed. Several clicks above the floor, Obi-Wan squeezed his way into a narrow crack, invisible from the floor below. Anakin followed. They awkwardly shuffled along the passage until Obi-Wan suddenly dropped out of sight. Anakin followed.
They landed in a hidden alcove. It was half lit by sunlight filtering in from cracks above, and half lit by the glow of mushrooms and crystals tenaciously embedded in the rock face around.
“Oh.” Anakin said softly. “Is this where you go when you visit the fountains to meditate?”
“No, I hadn’t been here in years.” Obi-Wan answered wistfully. “I started getting too big, didn’t want to damage the passageway too much. I figured some other younglings would stumble upon it someday like I did. I’m sorry. I avoided this room for the first year or two of your padawanship. By the time I even thought to share it, you had already grown so big...”
He sat down, legs stretched out in front. Anakin sat next to him, mirroring his position.
“I’m glad you’re sharing it with me now.” Anakin smiled reassuringly, but Obi-Wan was staring ahead blankly.
The young knight swallowed nervously. “Did you...come here with Bruck?”
Obi-Wan let out a snort. “Gods, no! I hid here from him. Before we were rivals, he bullied me relentlessly.”
“And...this is the guy you said I remind you of?” Was he being insulted?
“At times. Math lessons, saber practice, none of that ever came easy to me. But you and him...you never even needed to study. And you do have a vicious streak, Anakin.”
Rather than try to argue in vain against the slight hurt, Anakin just asked, “How did he die?”
Obi-Wan closed his eyes. “He fell.”
Anakin jerked in surprise, “Wait, you mean-”
“We were fighting at the top of the waterfall- it- he had nearly killed Bant. He was angry that we both had been chosen by Masters, and Xanatos used that to manipulate him into helping with an attack on the temple. Bruck was lashing out. He was a better swordsmen, but his anger made him unbalanced. I knocked him back. And he fell. I’ve forgotten a lot of details about him as a person, but I still remember his body at the bottom of the falls.”
"That’s...awful. I’m sorry.” Anakin said helplessly. He had known the bare basics of Xanatos’s fall, but clearly not the full story.
Obi-Wan sighed, leaning slightly to press their shoulders together. Anakin scootched over to try and provide a little extra silent comfort.
“I thought I had learned to live with my guilt over my part in what happened to him, but I suppose recent events have torn open old scars, so to speak.”
Anakin held his breath, Obi-Wan didn’t add anything else.
“Obi-Wan” he tried to nudge gently.
“Hmm?”
Anakin lost his patience, jumping up. “Master, please!” He half yelled, looming over his Master. A flash of fear crossed Obi-Wan’s expression as he looked up, which immediately halted the fit of rage.
He knelt down penitently, “I’m sorry, Obi-Wan, I shouldn’t have yelled, but please, let me help. I won’t get mad like that again, I swear. Whatever you need, I’m here for you.”
“You’re not.” Obi-Wan whispered, expression blank. He shuddered all over, fists clenching tightly.
“You’re NOT here for me!” Obi-Wan shouted, suddenly offended. “How can you POSSIBLY claim to be there for anyone after what you-” Obi-Wan seemed to choke on the words. He let out a strangled cry and pulled his knees up to his chest. Tears welled, but he didn’t seem to notice.
Anakin stared wide-eyed, cold all over. “This...this is about something I did. I don’t understand. You... told me a few hours that I’m dear to you, what...what could I have done since then to make you...I don’t understand.”
“You know what you did.” Obi-Wan let out. “And the fact that learning about it didn’t stop me from caring about you doesn’t help, it just makes the heartbreak a thousand times more painful.”
Anakin racked his brain wildly. This couldn’t be about his marriage with Padme, right? He told him this morning that he didn’t mind the sneaking off. There was only one screw-up big enough that could possibly warrant this severe a reaction, and only two people alive knew about that, both sworn to secrecy.
“The younglings,” Obi-Wan whispered. “You - you didn’t even spare the younglings.” Obi-wan looked gutted, terrified.
Anakin felt like he had been dropped in ice water. This was- this was his worst fear- that Obi-Wan would learn about his darkest failing as a Jedi and be ashamed of him, angry at him, would abandon him. He had already made his judgement. How could he have even learned about about the Tuskens?
“Padme-” he breathed out. “Padme told-”
“No!” Obi-Wan denied desperately, lurching forward. “Padme would never betray you! I would never betray you! We both love you, Anakin. Please, some part of you must know that! You must!”
His master seemed frantic, fingernails digging painfully into Anakin’s arm.
“You love me?” Anakin asked brokenly, heart cracked open.
Obi-Wan let go of Anakin to curl in on himself again. He seemed very small. It hurt to look at.
“I think its safe to say at this point that there’s nothing you could, no betrayal or atrocity you could commit that would make me stop loving you. Despite what you’ve done, you’re my brother, my son- of course I love you. The fact that I led you to doubt my love for you might be my greatest failing, though there are so many its hard to really say.” Obi-Wan sounded utterly defeated.
Anakin’s heart was pounding. This was a nightmare and a childhood dream. Obi-Wan loved him unconditionally, but he knew about his slaughter of the Tusken's and was ashamed. This couldn’t be real. He can’t know.
“Palpatine-” Anakin tried to ask.
Obi-Wan growled. “I do not need to talk about how that power-hungry liar systematically worked to tear us apart. I want to know why you would-” he cut himself off again.
Palpatine told Obi-Wan- that was more than he could even begin to process.
"I’m sorry, Master. I’m so sorry for failing you.” The words came desperately tumbling out, “I was just- I was so angry about my mom’s death and-”
“Your mother’s death? You killed innocent children for the sake of your Mother?! I don’t- how could anyone possibly rationalize-” Obi-Wan hissed out, truly angry for the first time that day. He took a deep breath and pulled himself upright.
“Your mother’s death was a terrible tragedy and I will forever regret my role in it. I should have tried harder to free her, for her own sake. I was so afraid that if I pushed for permission with the council they would think I was failing you, and they would take you from me. I made- so many decisions out of attachment, out of fear of losing you, and in the end I hurt you so badly you couldn’t trust me. You didn’t trust me with the truth of your visions, so I gave you bad advice born of misunderstanding, and your mother died horribly. I- I can see how you would blame the Jedi for that, even if its not rational. I certainly understand why you would blame me for that, why you would hate me because of her death.”
Obi-Wan scrubbed at his face mercilessly, practically tearing skin in his haste to wipe away snot and tears.
“But why, if you were getting revenge, would you kill the children and not me?” “Why couldn’t you just kill me and be satisfied?” He finally looked straight at Anakin, asking like it was a real question.
Anakin was horrified. After a few false starts he finally choked out, “Master, I love you. I told you, you’re the closest thing I have to a father. You’re the last person I could ever kill.”
“The last person you could ever kill,” Obi-Wan echoed back, looking pained.
“Please, Master, tell me how to fix this. I want to make things right. How can I fix things?” Anakin begged.
“That’s not a fair question. You can’t unmurder people. You can’t put them back together like a- an engine or a droid- ”
“There has to be something I can do to make you forgive me!” Anakin said desperately. “You can’t just tell me you love me and then say I’m an irredeemable monster!”
“Well that’s an entirely different matter, though no less cruel to think about.”
He leaned into Anakin’s side once more, the press providing a hint of warmth even in the unshakable cold. “Anakin, it isn’t very rational or fair of me, but it wouldn’t really take that much to get me to forgive you. Kriff, if you just acted sorry for what you had done.” Obi-Wan sighed.
“If you told me that you regretted the lives you took and swore you were going to stop murdering, force help me, I’d probably take you back in an instant. All I ever wanted was to help you be the best version of yourself.”
“I’m sorry.” Anakin said immediately. “I’m so, so sorry for what I did. I lost control of myself because I was scared, and angry, and suffering and, and then I was so scared that you would hate me that I pretended it was ok, and I told myself that they deserved to die, but how could children ever deserve to die and please Master I’ll throw away my lightsaber just please, please don’t leave me, I need you, please-” and the rest of the words dissolved into large, ugly sobs.
Obi-Wan keened and pulled Anakin into his lap like he was a child again. Anakin scrabbled at his cloak, desperately trying to hold on. The terrible chill that had been haunting him slowly started to fade away as he was rocked back and forth.
After a minute, Anakin got enough of a hold on himself to consider trying to stop blubbering like a crecheling on his Master’s robes. But he quickly realized that Obi-Wan was also crying, so instead threw his arms around the older man and let himself go.
An uncertain amount of time passed before they both slowed from heaving sobs, to dry hiccups, to quiet whimpers. Eventually they ended up laying in a heap, boneless but for their hold on each other. And finally, the cavern was more or less silent.
Anakin felt physically lighter, mind clear like he had just completed an extremely successful meditation session.
Without a word, they slowly shifted so they were leaning on the wall instead of sprawled on the ground. Obi-Wan pulled his robe off, first using it to wipe his face, then tenderly cleaning his Padwan’s.
Anakin just chuckled.
Obi-Wan threw the robe so it covered the two of them, which was a little gross, but that only made Anakin snort giddily.
They sat there peacefully for sometime. The shadows from above started shifting, and Obi-Wan sighed, “I really should go eat something.”
Anakin sighed back at him in agreement. They both stretched in the small space, joints popping.
“Do you need to walk through the rest of the gardens first?” Anakin asked.
“No,” Obi-Wan replied, tenderly fussing with his kid’s hair and robes so they looked presentable. “This was...more than I could have hoped for.”
Anakin beamed, giving Obi-Wan one last quick hug before gesturing upwards. “Time to get back to the real world?” he joked with a hint of regret.
“Time to get back to the real world.” Obi-Wan repeated heavily.

do we want 3.2k of obikin in the bath? idk but i wrote it! (also do the apartments in the jedi temple even have baths? idk. in this story they do LMAO)
as always, i write at 3 am, so if there are any mistakes, please.. just dont look at them
enjoy!! 💖
____
Obi-wan throws a side kick that lands square in Anakin’s stomach, sending him stumbling backwards. He rolls over a shoulder, ready for the next attack. He blocks a fist to the face, and counters with a punch to Obi-wan’s stomach, which is easily batted to the side.
They’ve been going at it for hours, lightsabers tossed to the side in favor of hand-to-hand combat. Their robes lay messily off to the side of the training room, discarded hours ago as the room sweltered in the summer heat, the pair left only in their pants rolled up at the ankles. Anakin can see Obi-wan faltering, making easy mistakes that cost him light bruises; he must be incredibly tired, just having returned lightly injured from a mission to the Outer Rim. Anakin would so much rather see Obi-wan resting and curled up over a cup of tea, or taking a nap on Anakin’s chest so he can pet his hair down and hold him. But Obi-wan had wanted to spar, and Anakin would never say no to that.
Anakin sees the opportunity and tackles Obi-wan to the ground, straddling his bare stomach and pinning his arms above his head. Obi-wan bucks his hips to roll Anakin over, but Anakin had been prepared for that, digging his knees into the mat to keep grounded. Both of their chests are heaving, and a droplet of sweat drips off of Anakin’s chin and onto Obi-wan’s neck.
“I think we should call it quits for today, old man.” Anakin releases his grip on Obi-wan’s wrists and perches back on his heels, looking down at him.
Obi-wan smirks. “And stop while you’re ahead? No, let’s go again.” He makes to get up, pushing his elbows into the mat, but Anakin stops him with a hand to his chest.
“I’m serious. No more today, you’re at your limit. You’re going to hurt yourself.” Anakin’s tone is serious as he can be, his eyebrows raised, features stern.
Obi-wan falls back to the ground, closing his eyes as he catches his breath. “As far as I was aware, it’s you hurting me, but point taken, love. You win.”
Anakin leans down and pecks a kiss to his cheek, tasting salt, and stretches his lips in a wide smile. “I’ll grab us dinner from Dex’s and I’ll meet you back in our quarters, okay?” He shifts his weight to the side so he can slide off of Obi-wan, wincing at the ache in his already sore muscles. “And go shower? You need one.”
Obi-wan shoots him a wry look. “What, you don’t like the smell of sweat? I can’t, anyhow, I have to go report to the council first.”
“Do you want your usual?” Anakin ignores his sarcasm and hops to his feet, making his way towards their forgotten robes, wishing he had remembered to bring a towel with him.
“Of course, darling.” Obi-wan answers from the floor, still lying on his back with his arms stretched out above his head.
Anakin dons his robes loosely, grabbing his ‘saber from the floor, and takes in the sight: Obi-wan is covered in a thin sheen of sweat, making him glow, and his hair is pushed back, giving him an oddly attractive tousled look. Anakin’s dick twitches in his pants, wanting to do nothing more than take him apart right then and there. But the desire to get some food in Obi-wan and see him rest and relax overwhelms the sexual urge. There will be time for that later on, no doubt.
He makes his way back to Obi-wan in easy, long strides and squats down, kissing him sideways, holding his sweaty head in between his palms. “I’m serious, you stink. The council can wait. Go shower.”
Obi-wan snorts. “No, they really can’t. Tell Dex I said hello.”
____
Anakin shuffles through Padme’s favorite body shop, where she used to drag him when they had briefly dated years prior. He never would’ve admitted it to her, but he relished the fancy baths she had created for them, and had returned to the shop alone innumerable times since they politely ended things. His body always thanked him after a hot soak.
With how tired Obi-wan seemed when he had come back from his mission and padded into their quarters earlier, and how sore he must be after today’s intense practice, Anakin wants to do something special for him. Besides, they’ve barely been able to spend time together because of the war, and Anakin misses it just being the two of them. He hopes the bath won’t be too much for Obi-wan, but he knows the man has a soft spot for fancy things under that rigid exterior.
The shop is crammed and dense, with low ceilings littered with dried flowers hanging upside down, casting a faint rose hue over the entire place. Soaps in muted colors, wrapped in bright shades of paper line the walls, leading down to the wooden tables that hold syrupy oils and linen bags of flowers and herbs. Coarse soaps and lotions in clear tubs sit in wire baskets underneath the tables. The whole room smells like a meadow in bloom, and Anakin eyes the candles burning in the corners of the room in consideration.
Thankfully, he’s the only one in the shop currently, so he can take his time picking the right products. He pops the cork out of a bottle of bath oil and takes a whiff: light, and flowery, with a faint hint of jasmine. Throwing it in his cart, he adds some cream soap, and, hesitating a little, a bag of assorted flower petals to hover on the surface of the water. He already has floating candle lights for the bath at home.
“Are you all set?” Sasha, the elegant female Twi’lek that owns the shop, leans against the register, eyeing him fondly. She used to tease him all the time about coming here alone, but they’ve moved past that, into a tentative friendship.
“Yeah.” He slides his basket onto the counter between them.
She eyes his items, cocking an eyebrow. “Is this for someone special?”
He can feel the blood rushing into his cheeks and ears, but doesn’t want to admit it one way or the other. “Maybe.”
She barks out a laugh at his bashfulness. “Lucky person, whoever it is.”
“Uh.” He doesn’t really know how to answer that. “Thanks?”
Her smile is playful, like he’s a child that just said something particularly cute. With the efficiency of someone who’s been doing it for years, she rings out the total and wraps all the items up in a paper satchel, sliding it back across the counter at him.
“That’s going to be 83 credits.”
He really hopes the council doesn’t look into his expenses, he wouldn’t know what to tell them.
____
The door to their quarters swings open cautiously and Anakin peeps inside, worried that he took too long. After popping by the body shop, he swung by Dex’s as promised, and Dex had wanted to catch up, and rightfully so; it had been too long. Anakin had shifted from foot to foot the entire time though, anxious about getting home to draw the bath before Obi-wan returned from meeting with the council. But Dex is a viable source of information, a fantastic cook, and most importantly, a long time and loyal friend, so Anakin had plastered a good natured grin on his face and quieted the nag of unease in his stomach.
The living room and kitchen is quiet, and Anakin doesn’t hear any noise coming from either the ‘fresher or their bedrooms. Anakin is in the clear.
He drops the food off unceremoniously onto the kitchen counter, throwing his outer robes over a chair on his way to the ‘fresher, bag of goods in hand. Flipping on the light, he starts up the hot water and pulls out the candle lights that sit underneath the sink. As the scalding water rises to the top, he pours in the oil and soap, and sprinkles the flower petals across the water, deliberately placing the candle lights in last so he could perfect their destination. They glow to life as soon as they make contact with the water, and Anakin smiles at the sight.
Stretching back up to stand, he turns the light off and shifts the door shut, letting the dim incandescence float through the room, a heavy orange that immediately adds intimacy to the space.
He has to admit, he’s outdone himself.
Then: a creak of a door hinge, the shuffling of tired steps, and crinkling of the take-out bag as Obi-wan no doubts sneaks a fry in before Anakin catches him.
Anakin bounds back to the kitchen, like a child bursting at the seams.
“I have a surprise, before we eat,” he says to Obi-wan’s back. (He is sneaking a fry.)
“That’s never good.” Obi-wan replies, turning around to lean back against the counter, chewing thoughtfully.
“All my surprises are good surprises.”
“Oh, like the time you superglued my datapad to the ceiling so I would pay more attention to you? You could have just asked, dear one.”
Anakin huffs, and covers the distance between them in two short strides, nudging Obi-wan towards the ‘fresher, covering both of Obi-wan’s eyes with his hands.
“Just,” Anakin murmurs, “trust me on this one.”
They lumber towards the ‘fresher, Anakin pushing a blinded Obi-wan forwards with each step. When they make their way to the entrance, Anakin stops them, practically vibrating with excitement.
“Smells good, at the very least.” Obi-wan hums, in no hurry to have his sight back.
Anakin, however, cannot wait and eagerly pulls his hands back, watching Obi-wan’s face for a reaction.
The smile begins in Obi-wan’s eyes as they crinkle, and then it moves down to his cheeks and into his mouth, which is pulled back in a twisted, tender way. Joy sings through every feature, and Anakin is elated.
Obi-wan turns his head to look at him, his gaze tender. “Is this for me?”
Anakin bites the inside of his cheek. “For us, to share, if you want. Unless you want to be alone, I’m more than happy to go lay down, but I thought-”
“For us, then.” Obi-wan leans in and kisses him on the jaw, already undressing. For the second time that day, Anakin looks down at a small heap of clothing. He closes the ‘fresher door behind them.
As soon as he slides his legs into the water, Obi-wan moans, and Anakin, no matter how many times he’s heard it, blushes, his breath quickening. Obi-wan is somehow both the most proper, and most obscene person Anakin has ever had the good graces of knowing.
The petals dance away from Obi-wan, ripples in the water sending them cascading in circles. “Come on, then,” he says to Anakin, who is still staring down at him with a dopey smile on his face.
Anakin makes quick work of his clothing, standing naked next to the bath. He motions for Obi-wan to lean forward so he can nestle in behind him.
The water is still piping hot, almost uncomfortably so, but Anakin makes a small ahh noise at the feeling of it on his sore muscles. He snakes his legs on each side of Obi-wan, pulling him back so that Obi-wan’s back lays flush against his chest, having to shoo a candle light out of the way. It bumbles along their sides, and out towards their entangled legs, illuminating the peachy bubbles and sunset tinged petals that bob in their wake. Obi-wan tilts his head back, resting it on Anakin’s shoulder, and sighs in contentment.
He drops a kiss on Obi-wan’s temple, breathing him in, his arms finding their home around Obi-wan’s waist. The skin on Obi-wan chest, arms, and face glimmer in the candlelight, flickering orange, more radiant than any Tatooine sunset, and Anakin wants to fall face first into the radiant gleam of his heart, wants to crawl into Obi-wan’s chest and bask in the warmth of his love, his light.
“This is lovely,” Obi-wan whispers, fluttering his eyes closed. “Thank you.”
Anakin’s hold around his middle tightens a bit in response, trailing a hand up and down Obi-wan’s stomach in repetition, a mindless gesture. “You seem tired lately.”
Obi-wan turns his head toward Anakin’s, resting his forehead in the crook of Anakin’s neck. He doesn’t get a response for a few heartbeats, and Anakin wonders if Obi-wan heard him. And then:
“Well, we are at war.” Obi-wan’s tone is flat, nondescript. Anakin knows Obi-wan is mincing his words for his sake, and as a bad habit of holding tight to all of his problems, like sharing them would break him. Anakin wants to share the load with him, help carrying the burden.
“Are you sure that’s all?” He mumbles into Obi-wan’s humid forehead, sweat beginning to glisten at his hairline from the searing water.
Obi-wan lets out the faintest of sighs through his nose, carefully considering his response. “I wish I…,” he grabs Anakin’s hands in the water, laying them on top and threading his fingers into Anakin’s, “I wish I could help more. Do more. None of it ever feels enough.”
Anakin gazes over their tangled legs, barely visible underneath the bubbles drifting over the surface, and aches all over at the thought of Obi-wan feeling inadequate. He wishes Obi-wan could see himself as Anakin sees him: brave, selfless, the entire backbone of the war, and a brilliant General and inspiring leader. Anakin has, and would a million times over, follow him into the depths of hell. The petals stick to their skin, creating a small halo of reds and purples where their bodies meet the water.
“You’re doing enough.” Anakin sighs. “You barely sleep, you’re always doing briefings and writing reports, and when we’re finally on a break you’re off training younglings, sitting in for the council, kriffing asking for sparring practice.” He huffs a laugh of disbelief into Obi-wan’s hairline. “You practically run this war yourself sometimes. When do you ever rest?”
Obi-wan is silent for some time, probably thinking of some way to deflect everything. He comes back with rare and unusual honesty. “It feels selfish, taking time for myself when I know there are people out there dying. Innocent people.”
Anakin scoffs. “How are you supposed to help them if you’re ready to keel over yourself, hm?”
“We’re jedi, that’s what we do. Besides,” Obi-wan rubs his face on Anakin’s neck, tone turning sweet, “I have you to make sure I don’t.”
Anakin grins into the wet curve of his head, his hair plastered to his skull from the steam wafting up around them, making the edges of the room disappear into a soft and warm fog.
“You’re enough, and you deserve rest.” He plants an overdone kiss on Obi-wan’s skull, rougher than usual to make a point.
Obi-wan hums noncommittally and tightens his hold on Anakin’s hands, somehow sinking further into Anakin’s chest.
He squeezes once and then untangles his fingers from Obi-wan’s hold to trace over his body. The tops of his thighs are as far as Anakin can reach, so he starts there, letting his fingertips graze over sensitive and supple skin, over soft hair and old scars. He moves to the base of Obi-wan’s stomach, purposefully ignoring his cock in favor of showering him with pure adoration and affection. He’ll let his hands wander there after they’ve eaten and gotten into bed.
Anakin loves the broad plain of Obi-wan’s chest, loves to rest his head on it after a long day, so he spends extra time there, dragging his fingernails across the pink skin, smoothing the sting down with the flat of his palm. He glides up to Obi-wan’s neck and into the base of his auburn hair, gently massaging the tense bundles of nerves that always seem to gather after a long and stressful day, and Obi-wan melts into him, humming sleepily.
Overwhelmed that Obi-wan is his, that this breathtaking man is resting in his arms, seeping into his chest and finding home in his heart, he can’t help but want to stay like this forever: clean, warm, safe, and together.
“You’re so beautiful,” Anakin breathes out, voice cracking, “and I love you so much.”
The petals gleam in agreement, hovering in reverence near him, their red hues like Anakin’s beating heart, holding Obi-wan in place. He understands their predicament; he, too, would bloom and fall and bloom and fall for this man, would reach out as far as he can from the wet and mossy ground to be regarded and gazed at, plucked and taken home. Even if it meant dying, wilting away, it would be worth it to be held near his face, to be carefully tucked into a vase to watch over him in the final days. Him and these flowers are one and the same, always gravitating towards the brightest point in the room, his sun, his reason for blooming.
Soft and slow breaths escape Obi-wan, and his chest evens out in a regular cadence. He must have fallen asleep. Good, Anakin thinks.
Anakin holds him close and watches the bubbles pop, one by one, as the time passes. Candlelight reflects off of the still surface of the water, the rise and fall of Obi-wan’s chest the only movement causing faint ripples. This is the closest he’s come to meditation lately, and it feels so wonderful.
He’s not sure what time it is, and can’t be bothered to care if anyone has comm’d him. Here in the four corners of their shared space is Anakin’s entire universe, and bliss simmers in his chest.
Anakin’s fingers are starting to prune and sweat drips off of chin. The water is starting to cool, though, and if Obi-wan hadn’t been stuck to his body, he probably would want to get out. He doesn’t want to wake him though, as sleep is rare and precious these days.
His stomach, however, has a different idea, and growls loudly, startling Obi-wan awake, who chuckles at the sound.
“Maybe we should go eat that food you brought back,” he teases.
Anakin can’t help the guilty smile that creeps its way onto his face. “How does eating and going back to sleep sound?”
“Sounds like the best plan you’ve ever improvised, my dear.”
Anakin makes a psh noise. “I don’t ever improvise.”
Obi-wan scoffs, a high pitched laugh from the back of his throat. “So this was all planned, then?”
Anakin sees the opportunity and takes it. “What, falling in love with you? No, but that has been my greatest achievement this far.”
Obi-wan raises his head from Anakin’s shoulder and meets him at eye level, twisting his body around to kiss Anakin deeply, biting his lower lip and sucking. Anakin snakes a hand to the back of his head and kisses back, trying to pour all his love, his entire heart, all of him, into Obi-wan’s mouth. He wants Obi-wan to pluck him, and know he loves me, he loves me, he loves me with the pull of each petal.
Obi-wan breaks their kiss and leans back, staring into his eyes. “Well, unlike you, I do actually plan, and my greatest achievement this far will be devouring the order of fries waiting for me in the kitchen.”
Anakin laughs, and flicks water at his face.

In the novel Clone Wars: Stories of the Light and Dark Obi-Wan's chapter retells the episode "The Lawless". While overall I found the book, while certainly not bad, missing a certain something and although some chapters really add to the corresponding episodes such as Rex' retelling of the Umbara arc, many are just very close retellings of the episodes. Now Kenobi's chapter was a mixed bag to me because some of it is really just an exact recount of the events of the episode, however, I found some additions made in regards to Maul interesting.
To no one's surprise there's a bit about Obi-Wan's almost hatred: "Hate was not the Jedi way. But for this man, Obi-Wan had grown weary of keeping it at bay."
Then we get confirmation that Maul is either just very perceptive, simply has Kenobi all figured out or is actually able to mindprobe even such thoroughly trained - albeit here clearly distraught - Jedi as Obi-Wan: "Maul seemed to sense his thoughts."
And of course we have Obi-Wan's reaction to Satine's death - which tbh made me all the more convinced that even though Obi-Wan might have crushed on her as a padawan, he is more fond of than in love sith her at this point -: "When Maul killed Qui-Gon Jinn, Obi-Wan was stricken with sorrow. Sorrow gripped him again. But there was something else, as well. Something dangerous. Something that scorched. Satine wasn't Maul's enemy. She was just a tool Maul had used to get something he wanted, the throne of Mandalore. And a tool to hurt Obi-Wan. Using a person that way was the worst form of cruelty. Satine had been a person, and her death wasn't just a loss for Obi-Wan. It was a loss for so many more. She'd been a child on this world. Like other children, she'd taken her first step, uttered her first word, laughed and chased flitters in the tall grass of the Mandalorian plains. She'd learned to read, made friends, suffered hurts, recovered and laughed again. And she'd become a leader. She should have lived to see her world thrive, to see her people find peace, to prosper, to make music and art. She should have grown old and been able to look back on all she'd achieved.
"But in a split second, Maul had ended all that. He'd extinguished a light in the universe and replaced it with shadow. Such an act was truly the definition of the dark side. And Obi-Wan burned with rage.
"With the rage came a vision: Eyes smoldering with hatred. Screams in the red glare of a lightsaber.
"Obi-Wan would cleave Maul in two. He would do much worse. There would be nothing left of him. Or the Dathomirian. Or the commandos, those Mandalorian traitors. He would kill them Almec. He would kill anyone who'd had a hand in overthrowing Satine, anyone who'd contributed to her death.
"And he would kill anyone who tried to stop him. Anyone who stood in his way, by word or by deed.
"Anyone.
"Maul laughed. "And now we see the true Obi-Wan Kenobi. The one he hides behind a mask of wit and charm. The one who yearns to be set free."
"And if Obi-Wan gave in to his desires, he'd be giving Maul exactly what he wanted."
So overall this just aligns with the episode. Although I do think Maul's additional taunt in this is so in character for him (and it'd be hilarious if it weren't for the entirety of the situation that Maul describes Obi-Wan as witty and charming). Although it's interesting just how close Obi-Wan came to falling. And ofc this passage really just hammers home the point that Maul wanted for Obi-Wan to fall to the dark side rather than wanting to kill him.
Anyways. The passage I've been dying to point out as an avid Obimaul shipper is the following:
"You can kill me, but you will never destroy me," Obi-Wan said, trying to keep his anger under control. "It takes strength to resist the dark side. Only the weak embrace it."
"It is more powerful than you know."
"And those who oppose it are more powerful than you'll ever be."
There was still a chance to turn this right. He could not overpower Maul, but maybe he could reach him. Maybe he could match Maul's fury, not with equal fury but with understanding. With sympathy. Maul had not always been this way. He'd had his future stolen from him. He'd been warped by the Force-wielders of Dathomir. He'd been groomed to become a creature of anger and vengeance who stood before Obi-Wan.
"I know where you're from," said Obi-Wan. "I've been to your village. I know the decision to join the dark side wasn't yours. I know the Nightsisters made it for you."
Obi-Wan cringed. The words had not come out as he'd intended. He'd wanted to extend a kindness that Maul perhaps never experienced. But he let his own anger and his own fear infect his words with venom."
And then the scene moves along as seen in the episode.
But phew. I feel like there is so much to unpack here. Obi-Wan trying to reach out for Maul is soooo good. I love that meeting anger with understanding and kindness is the Obimaul trope and this is pretty much that. It's interesting that Obi-Wan aknowledges that he couldn't strike the right tone.
Honestly all of this makes me yearn for the AU where he does reach Maul and maybe I'll even write it myself. Just Maul giving in and opening himself up to said kindness (although the staging might have to be different for that e.g. Maul visiting Obi-Wan in prison as an additional scene before he kills Satine).
This also made me reconsider the Siege of Mandalore. We all know, that Maul at that point of the story is not out to kill Kenobi. And honestly, considering that Maul is hyperaware of Kenobi's emotions in these scene and could possibly also have felt Obi-Wan's "kill 'em sith kindness" impulse, isn't it even more likely, that Maul wanted Kenobi to join him in robbing Sheev of his priced pupil Anakin but also killing Palpatine? I always thought Maul wanted to reveal Sidious to Kenobi and he only adapts his plan because it isn't Obi-Wan that arrives. But with this scene in mind, couldn't it possibly be, that Maul remembered that Obi-Wan once tried to reach out for him and wanted to extend the same gesture with the goal of overthrowing Palpatine? Whilst there is this short moment in "The Son of Dathomir" comic in which Maul and Dooku unite in fighting Kenobi, I feel like after Talzin was also killed by Palpatine Maul was kind of aimless - because in the comic he (unfortunately) has essentially moved from seeing himself as Sidious' tool to being Mother Talzin's tool (he even states the latter directly) - and nothing matters to him as much as overthrowing Sidious in that final arc, because he knows if not now then never. He has foreseen what Sidious and Vader will become and knows this is his last shot to truly hurt Palpatine in any way. And lastly Maul is certainly not that delusional that he'd think he can kill Kenobi and Skywalker alone (which is an interpretation I've seen and honestly just feels wrong at that point)
Essentially I am convinced that Maul wanted to form a sort of alliance with Obi-Wan to overthrow Sidious (The enemy of my enemy is my friend and all that). Maul knows that Obi-Wan knows him better than anyone and I think at the very least he hoped he could convince Obi-Wan of the truth. Additionally Obi-Wan is the only being left in his life Maul has a connection to, who hasn't been killed by Sidious.
All I am saying is that I join the ranks of other anons and blogs as a huge Obimaul enabler.
Wow!! This was so informative and awesome. I don't have that book so I appreciate the run down A LOT! And will probably save this as reference point tbh.
I don't really have anything to add other than thank you for sharing with me, and that I think you absolutely should write an AU where Obi-Wan is able to reach Maul. How that would play out and what happens when they do is a delicious thought.

Dripping with Gold - Anakin Skywalker (1/2)
Apparently this is going to be the first SW fic I share. This is an interesting turn of event as I didn’t plan on having it done before my approx. 100000 WIPs, but honestly I like it, I truly do. So uh, enjoy!
PS: There WILL be a part 2 as there was a piece of dialogue I really wanted to get out there but couldn’t fit in this one. Stay tuned!
Pairing: Anakin Skywalker x Dark side!reader
Word count: 3304
Warnings: kinda emotional manipulation ngl, me liking evil monologues waaaaayyyyy too much.
Summary: “The dark side surrounds you. Your eyes, they’re--” There was a slight tremor in his voice and his breathing visibly accelerated. The anger that had momentarily flared in his eyes was gone now, leaving its place to a helplessness that made your heart ache. “This isn’t right, I’m dreaming, you couldn’t have--You led everyone believe you were gone, you led me to believe you had left me behind--”
Tumblr media
The cold rain hit your face like ice shards as you laid on your back, motionless and in pain. You were surrounded by rocks and darkness, barely touched by the dull light of the day that began to dim already. Your breath was ragged and your limbs were numb to your command, even your voice wouldn’t respond to you. You tried to scream, you begged the force to let you call for help, to give you back control of your arms to at least attempt to flag a passing ship--any passing ship, but nothing came out of either actions.
You didn’t know how long you had been there, or really what had happened. You had been on a training flight with your Master when your ship was shot down, you didn’t even know by whom. The crash had been rough, and the last thing you remembered before waking up in the crevasse was the ship breaking in half and propelling you in the opposite direction of your Master. It could have been any time measure really, but the dryness in your throat and your cramping stomach led you to believe you had been there for at least a day. You weren’t bleeding an awful lot, but you definitely had broken bones.
Nobody was coming for you. You had felt your Master’s force signature twice in the distance already, and no matter how hard you tried to project to him, he never answered. You were too weak, probably, and if it had really been an entire day, it meant he had abandoned the searches already. That much was the Jedi way, to be ready to let go at any time. You should have accepted it, after all, you lived by that code too, but something about the slow, agonising death alone in the cold that had taken a hold of you left a bitter hatred linger in your heart.
Hot tears started to stream down your face, stinging your wounds and mixing with the burning ice of the rain. You wanted to scream, not for somebody to hear you, but to let out the choking pressure that gripped your chest with vicious hands. Despite your shivering in the cold, your muscles were burning with anger and fear of the tethering edge you were dangling from. You both wanted to run away from this planet, and to close your eyes with nightfall and never wake up.
Then, a shadow settled over your still form. You could barely see who it was.
“Master Ki-Adi?” Your voice was barely above a whisper, almost inaudible over the battering of the rain.
“You must be mistaken, young one” An unknown voice replied as the figure crouched in front of you. “My name is Darth Tyrannus, but I can assist you all the same”
You willed yourself to snap out of the unpleasant memory with a snarl, hitting the armrest of the chair you were sitting in. The dark tapestry of the old temple you claimed for yourself on Jaguada greeted you back in the real world with a growing headache. If you started to have visions of the past, especially ones tied with the Jedi, it meant they were closing in. Yet, it felt strange to have this one in particular, one that was so intertwined to the dark side before you even turned.
You knew who was coming for you.
You couldn’t help but smile at how brilliantly your own fortune had turned. Out of all the Jedi that could have made the trip, it was the exact one you wanted to see more than anything. If you concentrated enough, you could feel his force signature slowly spread around the barren lands of Jaguada as he got closer to your location.
The last time you saw Anakin, you were both 17 years old inseparable padawans. He didn’t have a lot of friends at the temple, mostly due to him being trained outside of the regular padawan learners classes. You weren’t very outgoing either, so more often than not, you ended up hanging out together. It however became more than friendly interactions after a few years, and you found yourselves in love despite the Jedi code. His name alone brought memories of warm embraces and sneaking around between training sessions, something neither the Jedi or the Sith could ever make you let go of. Now, Anakin was the only vestige of your heart that was still rooted in the light side.
But you knew. You knew there was a darkness that clung to Anakin, there had always been. A frustration, a recklessness, an anger, an all encompassing fear of loss; you knew it wouldn’t be as hard as any other Jedi to convince him he didn’t belong on the light side of the force. Most importantly, you knew you could do it. You were almost certain his attachment to you ran deep enough to remain alive even after four years apart.
You had followed his progress from afar, his slow descent closer to the dark side from his reaction to your death up to this moment in the Clone Wars after countless losses and traumatic baggage. You weren’t the only one either, you knew the Sith were interested in him as well, but you were determined to get him first. You wouldn’t let Darth Tyrannus, or worse, Darth Sidious get their hands on him first.
You had been Dooku’s apprentice for a time after he had pulled you from that shipwreck. He taught you the ways of the dark side after giving you the push you needed to turn, but soon enough, you began to grow displeased with the Sith. There were always talks of a masterplan for which you were never privy, and you knew Darth Sidious did not like your presence by Dooku’s side. The Sith, whom you were told weren’t as restrictive as the Jedi, turned out to be exactly the same in the end; the never ending rule and the cycles of power designed to keep you kneeling only pushed you away in the exact same fashion as the Jedi.
Your Master’s betrayal was the final straw. You could still vividly remember the harsh red glow of his blade greeting you in the middle of the night, your instincts jolting you awake and using the force to protect yourself. He had been sent flying so hard and so fast that the north wall of your quarters had collapsed on impact, partially burying him in debris. You knew you were stronger with the force than him at that point, but his experience far outweighed yours, so you grabbed your lightsaber and disappeared into the night before he could get up and resume the fight.
Your journey to Jaguada hadn’t been easy, but you managed to evade the Sith and take residence on a planet that once belonged to them, to add to the irony. You were left alone in your retreat in the margins of the only city in the never ending desert, none of the occasional smugglers and scavengers brave enough to approach the temple. Your only visitor in two years was, in fact, the Jedi that had just crossed the threshold of the temple. Moments later, Anakin stood on the other side of the large, empty room, and your breath caught in your throat. While there was no doubt it was really him only by his strong and distinct force signature you’d recognize everywhere, it was like he was another person entirely.
You observed him intensely as he did you, taking in how his features had gone from boyish to absolutely handsome, and how his larger shoulders and intimidating posture projected the image of an accomplished warrior instead of a teenager. His eyes, as beautiful as ever, were locked with your golden ones as a thousand emotions passed through them. Short lived relief, shock, disbelief, hurt, all of which were translated in echo in his force signature.
Then, your name was spoken softly, as if he wanted to make sure it was really you.
“Anakin” You simply replied, giving him a smile. “It’s good to see you again”
He didn’t return it, no, instead, his gorgeous features contorted with incomprehension and pain. “You’re a sith. All this time, you were a Sith”
Your smile dropped and your expression hardened. “I am most certainly not”
“The dark side surrounds you.
“Anakin” You called his name again, standing up from your chair and taking a step towards him. The way he backed away hurt more than any lightsaber wound. “I never meant to leave you behind. All I’ve wanted for the last four years was getting back to you, but I couldn’t, I wasn’t ready yet for you to see me like this”
“What happened?” He asked under his breath, still guarded against you.
“We crashed the ship, Master Ki-Adi barely looked for me before leaving me to an agonizing death” You couldn’t hide the bitterness of your words. “Then I was found by Count Dooku, who showed me the ways of the dark side”
He took a step further away.
“I’m not one of them anymore, Anakin” You repeated, tempting a step forward. “I couldn’t--I wouldn’t stay with them, the simple mention of them brings a bad taste in my mouth. I left to make my own path, one where I don’t have to bend to pointless rules, where I don’t need to break my back to please, where I am free”
“Then come back with me to the Jedi Temple” He said, his eyes shining with something alike to hope. “If you renounced the Sith, you--you could return home, finish your training, become a Jedi again”
You couldn’t hide your sorrow. “I won’t return”
“The Jedi Council will understand--”
“I know they would” You cut him off gently. “But I don’t want to. I am not willing to give up my freedom for the people that left me to die alone. You are the only good thing left for me there, and I want you by my side, but not there”
“Don’t” He warned, his hand reaching for his lightsaber on his belt. “Don’t play this game with me”
You unclasped yours as well, but before he could ignite his, you handed him the silver hilt. His arm faltered at his side as he stared in confusion at your lightsaber, like he wasn’t sure if it was a trap or not.
“I’m not playing any games, Anakin” You insisted. “I have no desire to fight you. My heart and my life is yours, it has always been”
Before you could blink, the saber was gone from your hand and a blur of blue and red crossed at your throat. You however remained calm, meeting his conflicted gaze through the harsh purple hue from the lightsabers’ juxtaposition.
“Give me one reason not to bring your back to Coruscant as a prisoner now”
“Bring me, don’t bring me, it doesn’t matter” You replied. “Whatever you choose to do with me won’t quiet down the little voice in your head that knows you don’t belong with the Jedi either. I know about what happened to your mother--”
“You don’t know anything!” His voice rose up as the sabers inched closer to you. His teeth were gritted and his jaw locked tightly. “The dark side is lying to you, I won’t let it lie to me too”
“Is it? ” You raised an eyebrow. “They didn’t let you go help her when your instinct told you she was in danger. They frowned upon your actions when it was theirs that led to her death. I know what you did to the sand people who took her, and I think they deserved it”
His grip faltered, but he still held you trapped between the sabers. Pain, so much pain reflected in his eyes in a storm of emotions.
“And do you think what they did to your padawan was fair?” You added, and while you could definitely see a reaction through the shift in his expression, he remained unmoving. “Yes, I know about that too. They were ready to punish her for a crime that wasn’t her doing, they didn’t trust her because they didn’t trust you”
“Please stop”
“You need to open your eyes, Anakin” You spoke softly. “The Jedi are not what they were. They became politicians, they care more about appeasing the public opinion than upholding real peace. They will let civil war rage on, they will let people die because politics say they can’t be involved. They will let slave merchants go on their business because it benefits the Republic, in the end. Do you see how wrong all of this is?”
He retracted the blades of the sabers, letting his hands fall at his side, and you took the invitation to get closer until you were standing right in front of him. He didn’t push away from you or make a move to get away as his head seemed deep in troublesome reflection.
“I am not bound by these rules” You whispered as your hand gently cupped his cheek, bringing back his eyes to yours. “Neither should you have to be. You are strong, the strongest Jedi to have ever lived, and you are destined to be so much more than a bell boy for the Republic. You could end wars, you could end slavery, and I want that too. Alone I can’t do much, but it will be possible with you by my side. There will be no Masters but ourselves, no code but our own. Nobody ever again will have to suffer as we did once we bring our justice to the Galaxy”
“I… I can’t do this to the Jedi order” He muttered, leaning into your touch. His words lacked the conviction he was trained to uphold, and while you knew you had to carry him to the edge just a little bit longer, you couldn’t help the triumphant feeling washing over you. He was so close to falling, it was almost euphoric. “I can’t do this to Obi-Wan”
You slowly pressed your forehead to his, closing your eyes at the more than familiar feeling of having him this close. Memories of stolen moments in the Temple away from prying eyes flooded your mind and soaked into your force signature in the form of a warm, all consuming wave. His arms around you, your hands caressing his neck, bright eyes reflecting the sun rays hitting down on you, hidden confessions and promises of forever. A single warm tear rolled down your thumb on his cheek, and that’s how you knew he was seeing the same images. The love you had for each other was tragically beautiful, but it wouldn’t have to be anymore.
“Do you still love me, Anakin?” You finally said, your voice barely over a breath in the wind.
“Yes”
“The Council would never let us be together” You slowly reopened your eyes, but his were still tightly shut. “They would expel us. They’ll never understand what we have, they’ll never understand what we mean to each other. I love you with all my heart, Anakin”
His breath hitched into a sob as you were met with his blue eyes glistening like crystals.
“Stay with me” You offered once again. “Nobody will be able to take me away from you again. I’m already more powerful than Dooku, and you are more powerful than Sidious himself. There will be no fear, no pain, no hiding”
He just kept staring into your eyes as the remaining of the little resolve he had melted away like ice under a flame. The whirlpool of emotions he was projecting all over the room was intense and vivid as it swirled around you, and that’s when you felt it: a tipping in the force. It was clear and strong, and you knew this was it. He had made his choice.
“I don’t want to feel those things anymore, I want what you said we could have” His voice cracked. “How do I get there? Please tell me how”
“Kiss me”
A breath escaped his lips as he cautiously closed the small distance to press his lips to yours. You took the first slow moments to relax against him, savouring the feeling of wholy having him back to you. Your hand found the back of his neck and his hair that had gotten longer since his padawan days, tangling your fingers through his loose lock. The kiss turned a bit more hasty and aggressive as he began pressing into you, like he too realized you were his without being scared of the consequences. You finally broke away to breathe, meeting his eyes again where you could observe a newfound determination.
“Let go of all that slows you down, Anakin” You panted as the distant sound of lightsabers hitting the ground reached your ears. “Tell me what you want”
“I want everything” He mumbled as his nose trailed impatiently on your cheek. “I want to stop the people who bring suffering to the galaxy. I want to hunt down slavers and let them know what true fear is, I want to free the galaxy of tyranny. And I want to love you through it all, I want you with me”
“Then it’s yours” You smiled. “It’s all yours. All you have to do is take it. Embrace it”
In a heartbeat, his lips were back on yours with a passion you had never felt in him before. His hands circled your waist and pulled you impossibly closer to him, his fingers pressing hard enough for you to feel it through your robes. You could barely keep up with his pace as he took full control of the kiss, bruising your lips with his furious pace. He was letting go of four years of pain, four years of stress where the world kept taking away from him without giving anything back. Now it was his turn to take.
He backed you up to the throne-like chair you had been sitting on earlier until the back of your knees hit the seat, but you flipped the positions around and gently pushed him back into it and broke away from the kiss. He slowly opened his eyes, a golden-like yellow matching yours greeting you instead of the blue you were used to. You took a moment to admire him as he sat back in his throne like a born king laying his claim on the world. He was even more handsome like this, with that little smirk on his face and power exuding from every fiber of his being. He reached for you and you straddled him, resting your hands flat on the dark tunic covering his chest. His left hand raised to engulf yours over his heart and gave it a little squeeze.
“It feels good, doesn’t it?”
“Indeed it does” He teased, looking up and down your form on his knees. Then, he lifted his right hand and brushed his gloved thumb over your lower lip, eyeing his motion with what resembled fascination. “I feel it. The dark side of the force, I mean. It’s… stronger. Untamed. Pure”
“It’ll make you even more powerful” You smiled as he looked back into your eyes. “You can do anything now, it’s your choice, nobody can stop you”
He slowly grinned back at you.
“Then what are we waiting for?”

read me your life
ao3
For Star Wars Soulmate Month
Anakin has never been a fan of the whole soulmate-book thing. Some people found it romantic to be able to read all about their soulmate’s life before they’d met, but for Anakin it just showcased the worst years of his life; the years he spent as a slave.
As a child he’d wanted to burn his book, so his soulmate would never have to know that he’d once been a slave (he’d known down to his bones that he’d be free by the time he met his soulmate), but his mother had talked him out of it, telling him he’d never be able to find his soulmate without his book.
Anakin still thought about it.
He never read his book, not because he believed that only his soulmate should ever lay eyes on it like some did, but because every time he tried he felt the hot flush of shame and anger. Even the joy a soulmate was meant to bring was tainted by slavery, the one thing that he thought might be able to help him get through until he was free.
He hated Watto, and Tatooine, and the whole stupid universe that let him and his mother be slaves.
And then came Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn, who freed him and promised him training as a Jedi. Even at nine, Anakin had had some reservations, but the thought of being free, being able to travel the stars instead of being stuck on Tattooine won him over in seconds.
So he wins the Boonta Eve Classic and he gets freed, something he hadn’t known about until it was happening, Qui-Gon’s promise of him becoming a powerful Jedi seems in his grasp.
But he has to leave his mother behind. It’s the hardest thing he ever does, even later after he’s gone on several missions, even after he fights in a war, even after he has to kill the old man he’d thought was his friend but wasn’t, leaving his mother and not looking back remains the most difficult.
He almost left his book behind then, with his mother. Almost. Even if she couldn’t see the writing on the pages, it was still something to remember him by. But she’d refused, and Anakin had been strangely relieved.
He’s glad he didn’t when later, after the Jedi told him they wouldn’t allow him to be trained, after he blew up a spaceship, after Qui-Gon’s funeral, after being assigned as Obi-Wan Kenobi’s padawn, he checks his book, to read about the past few days, to remind himself that they were real and that he’s really free.
And he finds blank pages from the moment he climbed aboard the Naboo cruiser that first time. He’d met his soulmate. He’d met his soulmate and he hadn’t noticed. All those stories about sparks flying and knowing instantly were wrong. Anakin should’ve known. Nothing good is that easy.
His first thought is that it’s Padme, the beautiful angel, the Queen of the Naboo, Anakin’s first friend off Tatooine. But the timeline doesn’t add up. He’d met Padme days before his book stopped writing, but maybe that’s how it works? The only person he’d ever been able to talk about it with was his mother, who’d never met her soulmate and would never know unless they showed her their book.
Hers had been burnt when she’d fallen pregnant with Anakin.
Over the years he convinces himself that it’s Padme. He slowly chips away at all his doubts, refusing to back down. It’s Padme, it has to be. Who else had been kind and gracious to him, who else had made him feel like the most important person in the room whenever they spoke to him? No one. It had to be Padme. If it wasn’t Padme then who could it be? He didn’t want it to be anyone else.
He trains, he gets better, he fights with Obi-Wan and gets scolded by the council more often than not. But Obi-Wan is always there after, to apologize, to be apologized to, to hug and to take him to Dex’s. To reassure him that he’s wanted.
Anakin is sure he got lucky with his master. His fellow padawans always complain about theirs, and while Anakin and Obi-Wan clash over many things, they work well together and get along very well when neither of them are being stubborn. He’s glad, most days, that he landed with Obi-Wan instead of Qui-Gon. He gets the feeling that the other man had far too many expectations for him he’d never be abe to live up to.
Anakin never speaks about his soulmate to Obi-Wan, for all that he trusts his Master, he’s far too embarrassed to say anything to him about it. He doesn’t want to feel stupid anymore, and after his peers reactions to his inability to read, Anakin is hesitant to admit any gaps in knowledge to anyone at the Jedi temple.
So he keeps quiet about his questions and silent suspicions. He doesn’t want to be made a fool again. He waits in excitement for the day that he’ll be able to see Padme again and find out whether his decade-long suspicions are true.
And then he meets her again. He and Obi-Wan are there to guard her from assassins, and as he’s terrified as that time he’d accidentally kicked Master Yoda across the hall and into Master Windu’s face.
He’d had a rough time during his growth spurts and hadn’t been able to control any of his limbs, okay? He’s sure half the reason Master Windu hates him is because of that day. Anakin maintains that he should’ve dodged. What is the Force for, if not for sensing when a young teen with no control over their newly elongated limbs punts your weird-speaking toad boss at your head?
No, Anakin is not victim blaming.
In any case, he feels like throwing up, passing out and running away all at the same time. He’s about to meet his soulmate for the first time in ten years.
He sees Padme, and those feelings fall away. So does the feelings of passion and love he’s been associating with her for the past decade. Instead he just feels nostalgia for those fleeting days of almost-perfection when he’d first met Padme.
Something inside him tells him that Padme isn’t his soulmate.
He’s right, he finds out later. When they’re hiding on Naboo Padme confides that she’d thought he was her soulmate for the longest time, but had found out it was actually one of her newer handmaidens she’d met around the same time as she’d met Anakin.
Anakin tells her that he’d also thought she was his soulmate, up until they’d met again, but he doesn’t think so anymore.
They try to read each others books, but they can’t. They laugh at their childish foolishness and spend a few days fooling around and revelling in their lack of responsibilities. Anakin gets to meet Lorde, Padme’s soulmate and he revells in the way they fit together. Even if Padme wasn’t his soulmate he’s still glad she gets this.
And then Anakin dreams of his mother again and they leave for Tatooine. Anakin meets his step-father and mother’s soulmate and he rescues his mother. He barely stops himself from slaughtering the whole village, but his mother needs him more. And Obi-Wan would be disappointed in him.
His mother almost dies twice in one night, but Padme’s Naboo cruiser has very good medical supplies. Anakin gets to speak with his mother again, gets to hear all about how her life has gone and how happy she is with Cliegg. When Obi-Wan’s message comes through she encourages him to go help him.
So Anakin leaves his mother with a promise to visit when he can and he and Padme set off for Geonosis. They get captured, they escape, they get rescued, they chase down Count Dooku and Padme falls out of a ship and Anakin loses his arm.
The Clone Wars begin.
Padme gets married to her soulmate and Anakin is there at the small ceremony, hosted at the same place where they’d spent their last war-free days. Padme tells him she wants to keep it quiet, because Padme has a target on her back and has no interest in endangering Lorde
When he gets back to Coruscant Obi-Wan gives him a strangely sad look, but Anakin chalks it up to the loss of his hand.
The war rages on and Anakin gets knighted, far too soon in his opinion. Despite his chafing against Obi-Wan’s occasionally tight leash, he’s well aware that he still has a lot more to learn. Nonetheless, its still near the beginning of the war and they still get their seven days together after the ceremony, a luxury not afforded to newly-knighted jedi later on.
The war rages on and Anakin sees Obi-Wan a surprisingly large amount. They become the Team, the face of the war. They’re sent on large scale public missions together more often than not, and Anakin is glad for it.
The war rages on and Anakin gets a padawan of his own, Ahsoka Tano, though she’s as much Obi-Wan’s padawan as she is his. She’s far to young to be in war, but tragedy doesn’t care about age. It only seeks to inflict itself on whoever is most vulnerable. Anakin teaches her to be a Jedi, but he also teaches her how to deal with her emotions healthily. He wants her to be better than him, he wants her to suffer as little as possible. Obi-Wan shares this desire and helps in whatever way he can.
The war rages on and Satine dies, Obi-Wan’s soulmate dies and Anakin figures that if there’s any time to break their mutual silence on soulmates it would be now.
“I’m sorry. Losing your soulmate must be hard,” Anakin says, doing his best at trying to comfort his ex-master. He’d never had to comfort Obi-Wan before, if he’d ever got upset he’d always go and meditate. But not this time.
His comfort doesn’t seem to be very good because it brings a grimace of pain to Obi-Wan’s face and Anakin wishes he could travel back in time a minute to prevent that expression from crossing Obi-Wan’s face.
“She wasn’t,” Obi-Wan starts, “My soulmate. I was hers but. She was never mine.”
Anakin doesn’t think that makes losing her any easier for Obi-Wan. He wants to comfort him, but instead his stupid curiousity that he’s been suppressing for years comes to the surface.
“Do you know who is?” he asks and immediately wishes he could just erase this entire conversation.
Obi-Wan has a lot of issues that he’s repressed over the years. His feelings of inadequacy and fear of abandonment are well hidden to everyone except Anakin. Anakin knows how to recognise that in someone else, he knows those feelings well enough.
Which is why he notices Obi-Wan withdrawing into those feelings at Anakin’s question.
“Yes,” Obi-Wan whispers, “I’ve met them.”
Obi-Wan doesn’t say anything else immediately, but Anakin can tell he’s got more to say, so he waits in shocked silence.
“It’s,” Obi-Wan says, faltering. “It’s you, Anakin.”
Anakin blinks once, everything quickly falling into place, and feels like a complete idiot. Of course it’s Obi-Wan. He met Obi-Wan right when his book stops.
How had it never occurred to him?
And based on Obi-Wan’s sad but hopeful expression, his years of being an oblivious idiot have hurt his master.
“Oh,” Anakin manages to get out.
Obi-Wan deflates at that singles syllable, clearly misreading Anakin’s reaction. Before Anakin has time to fix his mistake, Obi-Wan opens his mouth to say, “I know your soulmate is Padme, but, well. If there’s any time to tell you it’s now. I finally understand how Satine feels. Felt.”
And if Anakin doesn’t feel like absolute garbage. Obi-Wan is already having a horrible day and Anakin has gone and forced him to bare his soul and
“It’s not Padme, it’s you,” Anakin says. Obi-Wan’s eyes widen. “I thought it was Padme for a long, long time. But. It’s not. Hers is one of her handmaidens. And mine is you.”
Obi-Wan still hasn’t moved, and Anakin decides to continue. “I didn’t realize until now, but I’ve been an idiot. My book finished writing right before I first met you. It never occurred to me until now-”
Obi-Wan hugs him. It’s been years since Obi-Wan has hugged him, but Anakin’s instincts cause him to bring his arms around him almost immediately. Obi-Wan squeezes him tightly to his chest and Anakin knows immediately that they’ll be fine. They’ll figure this out together.
They’ve always been the perfect team.

For the salty asks, 25 with RotS & 22?
Sorry for taking a while, been busy with life :/// but thank you so much for the ask! I really enjoy these :)
22. Popular character you hate?
Yikes! Starting with the tough question, huh? Uh don't get mad anyone, but K*ly Ren. Sorry. He's just annoying and I lowkey laugh when he's on screen (not that I've seen him since the first times). Idk I don't really like the character or the way the narrative attemtps to bend over backwards to redeem him. I'm not a fan of the sequels in general, as you'll probably notice, but I just hate our buddy Kyle more than the others. I think the fact that he keeps being put in this pendulum of 'is he bad or not?' by the creators which makes his character so unlikable to me. He commits genocide one move, but the next he's convinced to step away because of an apparition of his father... that he killed??? I just don't understand.
If you want from rots (which I'm not sure, but I'll do regardless) I'd say Padmé or/and Anakin. Perhaps I don't exactly hate them viciously or anything, I just hate their motivations and what they try to do. I mean Padmé's whole denial I understand and get, but the fact that she tries to offer a consequence-less out on Mustafar really really irks me considering she knows Anakin committed Genocide. With Anakin it's pretty obvious. He killed the Jedi, and I will never forgive him.
25. How would you end XXX/Would you change the ending of XXX?
Now, don't get me wrong, I loved the ending in general, but small details. Padmé should have remained the absolute QUEEN she was in tpm and aotc instead of being reduced into this passive role to comfort Anakin. While I understand love changes people and whatnot, I certainly do not think Padmé would ever have tried to convince a literal child murderer to run off into the galaxy with her. Idk, perhaps I'm wrong, but Padmé should have been shown an active role against Palpatine and should have not been so willing to forgive Anakin like she does in the movies. Perhaps her death could be averted which could provide such interesting story later on, but I get it that Padmé was out of the picture in the original trilogy, so they couldn't just add her.
Next, MACE WINDU LIVES!!! This is jsut because I love him ahah, but I really do wish that Mace was alive and being an absolute troll to the empire. Just... imagine the possibilities. Also, just think of the possible comfort between him and Obi-Wan. Absolutely amazing. Also, perhaps show Qui-Gon more, but maybe they'll end up tackling this in the Kenobi show, idk. I think it would be cool to see Obi-Wan's reaction to Qui-Gon being there.
Now these endings would follow original story, but if Star Wars was mine and the ending could go however I wanted, the Jedi would still be alive and Palpatine would have choked on some expensive cheese.

Not my usual ranting, but I need to just... clear my head a little.
I swear, the amount of times that I see people on my Twitter feed - so, y’know, people whose media opinions I generally like and respect - go HARD for TLJ, when I’ve been over aplenty why I absolutely do not like this movie... Like, not just is it this overwhelming feeling of frustration about how I don’t feel like I can say anything on the subject without having to defend my opinion, AND have to make the effort to long-form explain, while making it clear that no, I’m not one of those racist sexist assholes who can’t take deviation from the white male norm, but that I just DON’T. LIKE. THIS. MOVIE...
I swear, at times I start feeling gaslit about it - “maybe I am wrong, and it’s actually good?” And... No. I REMEMBER I was bothered by elements in the writing IN THE ACTUAL THEATER.
Like, I clearly remember being uncomfortable with the way that Finn was being treated in the first ten minutes, waking up from his coma in a STORAGE CLOSET, running around in a leaky bacta suit, getting tazed by Rose... I did NOT feel comfortable watching his pain and confusion be played as a joke.
And the TIMELINE of this movie bothered the hell out of while I was WATCHING - Rey’s taking days, if not weeks, to train with Luke, yet is having real time Force communication with Kylo, who is chasing the characters who are on a strict sixteen hour deadline for their fuel, WHILE Finn and Rose can casually jaunt off to Canto Bight mid-flight? And yet she STILL manages to arrive in the nick of time all the same?
Hyperspace travel is NOT instant! It was never instant, and the original trilogy made that pretty clear, saying nothing of the prequels. But here in this movie, it becomes a fast travel system like a video game.
To say nothing of that moldy raisin bread appearing and taking away what SHOULD have been a father-son interaction between Luke and Anakin...
And I was always Team Poe - he handled Holdo with grace and respect, he approaches her one on one with his concerns, gets dismissed. He makes a scene, is still told nothing. He offers a chance for an explanation before the mutiny, and she STILL doesn’t explain why he’s wrong. This is a leader who is inspiring no trust, why should ANYONE follow her? Especially when she’s an admiral wearing a COCKTAIL DRESS during an EXISTENTIAL CRISIS?!
And that’s just the stuff that I actively picked up on in the theater proper - it’s only “fridge logic” if you’re going over it later on and think ‘wait... that doesn’t quite add up.’ When you notice it in the moment of viewing, it’s an active plot hole. I could add in the fridge logic elements for me, but... Those were the things noticeable IN THE MOMENT. I’m not even getting to the things that came to me as I thought things over afterwards - Finn’s story demotion, the over-focus on Kylo making HIM into the movie’s real main character, Rey’s reduction to Kylo’s sexy lamp reward, her lack of reaction to the “your parents were nobody” thing...
Yeah, every time I think about the movie, every time I go over the details, yeah, I’m right to find these flaws. Because, again, they stood out enough to me in the theater to be burned into my brain as “what the fuck is going on?” A movie making you do that in the moment of watching has some SERIOUS flaws.
But the amount of people who praise it... Like, a lot of them actually ARE making some kind of living in film analysis and critique, and yet... They don’t see this? They think this was the best movie of the franchise? That it’s worth being the benchmark?
I don’t get it. And I know I never will. But it’s all the more frustrating, because... There is, so far as I presently understand things, an expected Rian Johnson trilogy in this franchise. And while I’d love for that to end up getting people to SEE the flaws set in, go back over it and realize ‘...wait a second, this is an issue here, and you can actually see it back in TLJ... Oh. Ohhhh...’ and have the feeling of justification that I was right all along...
Honestly, all I expect is that people will end up being all the more insufferable, and pulling the “this is what the Sequels should have been” card.
And it’s so... Honestly, frustrating doesn’t even BEGIN to cover it, because I actively feel the push of “no one’s going to listen to you if you try to explain this, they’re just going to lump you in with the worst of the worst, mute/block you, and move on, rather than LISTEN.” And I do understand that idea, I really do, it’s not like I particularly want to debate on Twitter either, even if I’m not talking about something that actively requires you to go over the per Tweet character limit to express. But there are times it’s so prevalent on my Twitter feed, it starts to feel oppressive and insanity-inducing because it happens enough to feel like I’m being poked and prodded and dared to start something.

Ferocious I Darth Maul x Reader
Chapter 7: Impatience
last chapter
all chapters
ao3
words: ~2300
_____
The caf has gone cold by now and does little to relieve the ache that has settled in his shoulders, testimony to the constant stress he has put himself under.
It’s been precisely 36 hours since he boarded the Vigilance and, while his five-hour nap after the first interrogation did help his condition, there is no denying that he is worn out; physically and mentally.
“So you mean she just… couldn’t tell you? Seems odd to me.”
“You weren’t there, Anakin,” Obi-Wan pinches the bridge of his nose. “If it was an act, it was quite believable and if it was not… We may be closer to finding answers than we thought.”
Anakin crosses his arms, his stance showing his disbelief.
“You said you felt no force presence, let alone that of a Sith Lord. How does that add up?”
Obi-Wan heaves a sigh.
“If I knew, I would tell you, believe me.”
“Should we search her mind?”
Absentmindedly, Obi-Wan strokes his beard.
“No, let’s hold back for now. I had the feeling that for a moment, I was getting somewhere. If we invade her mind now, any chance of voluntary cooperation is lost indefinitely.”
“Do you want me to stay for the time being?” Anakin scratches the back of his neck. “Ahsoka is on Coruscant for a while anyways and Rex is already on his way back to the Resilience.”
“Anakin,” Obi-Wan’s gaze softens. “If you have nowhere else to be, you are always welcome on the Vigilance. These are trying times for us all.”
Indeed they are. The war has brought on issues Obi-Wan has rarely had before - loss, separation, the constant struggle between doing what’s right and doing what’s efficient. The Jedi are not used to this life, the once tightly knit community at the temple has been forced to spread out through the galaxy, wherever they are needed on the battlefield. He worries sometimes when he thinks of all the younglings who grow up as children of the war, starting to fight for their lives at an age where he still spent most of his time studying or going on missions with Master Qui-Gon that, albeit wild at times, always had an educational value. These children, Padawan Tano included, know little of a world outside of the war, a world in which the galaxy lives and breathes as one instead of being split into two parties.
And Force knows he is in need of a friend after Satine’s death.
Anakin clears his throat.
“Maybe if we could uncover who is actually behind the creation of the clones, we could get somewhere without further relying on her intel. If you let me question her, she might open up more; after all, it seems you two had a … personal history.”
“She does appear to find me quite despicable, yes.”
A wide grin spreads across Anakin’s features.
“Then watch and learn, Master.”
*
“We’ve gone through this already,” she deadpans, the dark circles under her eyes only adding to the expression. “I’m not telling you my name.” “We can do this the easy way or the hard way.”
“Oh really.” She raises her eyebrows mockingly at Anakin. “I’m not scared of you. You’re, like, 16?”
The question is obviously meant to provoke him since Anakin clearly is much older than that, but Obi-Wan remains hopeful that his apprentice won’t let her get to him that easily.
“I am a General of the Republic and very much capable of making you talk, be sure of that.”
She doesn’t respond.
“What we want to know is this: Somebody ordered the creation of a clone army for the Republic without the Republic’s knowledge. You knew Jango Fett - Surely he mentioned who hired him.”
A halfhearted shrug is all Anakin gets.
“Don’t recall.”
“So you’re telling me all this time you spent with Fett, he never mentioned who paid him enough credits to last him a lifetime?”
Her eyes narrow instantly. “What do you think you know about how much time I spent with Jango Fett? I don’t remember ever saying we were that close, it was your partner here who assumed as much.”
“There’s no need for you to lie; your reactions gave you away, Spectress.”
Slowly, Anakin leans across the table until he is face to face with the mercenary.
“I’m going to tell you what I believe is the case. I think you and Jango Fett were lovers and that it was him who is the reason for your success in the trade; after all, you didn’t become as notorious as you are now until after you met him, isn’t that so? But of course, that doesn’t do well for your reputation, so you will go to any lengths to deny it.”
The woman’s face is scrunched up in barely contained fury.
“You know nothing,” she hisses. “I came from nothing, made a name for myself, built a skillset myself. Jango mentored me when I was young and inexperienced and to think that you would so easily jump to the conclusion that we-”
She shuts her mouth when Anakin breaks out into a triumphant grin, realizing she gave away more about their relationship than she intended.
Anakin looks at Obi-Wan with the expectancy of a proud boy showing his father a picture he drew, and Obi-Wan doesn’t try to hide the fact that he is impressed with Anakin’s skill to push people’s buttons to get them to confess. It is easy to forget how capable he is on his own when so often, it’s just the two of them together.
“A mentor, you say?” He strokes his beard. “That would explain some things. Then, there is no doubt you know who hired Fett, is there?”
“You already do, too.”
“That is true. However, we do not know his identity - we only have the name Tyranus.”
A weak laugh tumbles from the woman’s lips. “All this time, and you couldn’t even figure out who Tyranus is? I don’t know what I expected.”
“So you do know.”
“Possibly.”
Possibly. Yes, she was definitely mentored by Fett.
“Perhaps, with some motivation, you could find some… certainty.” Slowly, Obi-Wan retrieves the ring he picked up earlier from his pocket, holding it up between his fingers so that she can see it. Naturally, he inspected it beforehand, searching for hidden blades or even a needle that could be used as a weapon, but it appeared it was really only a piece of jewelry.
Her eyes automatically set on it, the internal struggle shining through the cracks of her exterior.
“I… can’t tell you who Tyranus is.”
“Then I suppose I’ll take this back down the hall,” he moves to put the ring back into the pocket.
“No, wait, let me… blast,” she shakes her head slightly. “Tyranus … He is not on your side.”
“In the war?” Anakin asks.
She nods slowly.
“Why would an opponent of the Republic commission an army for it?”
She glares at him.
“You don’t get it, do you? You’re puppets, all of you. The clones, the Jedi, the politicians on Coruscant. All of you are just playing his game, and eventually he’ll … he’ll-”
She bites her lip like something is keeping her from talking again.
“No, no, no, what were you saying? Who will do what?” Anakin jumps up and leans over her face, taking a hold of her jaw before Obi-Wan can protest his approach, then the force around him shifts as he tries to force the answers out of her mind.
In a split second, her forehead connects with his nose as she headbutts him hard enough to make him stumble backwards and almost into the force field, a sickening cracking sound resonating through the cell.
“Aargh,” Anakin groans, holding his hand up to stop the blood from running down his face, giving her a dirty look.
“Don’t ever try to do that,” She hisses, punctuating every word to get the message across.
Obi-Wan sighs quietly.
“Come, Anakin. We will come back another time.”
“Wait!” She sounds almost desperate for a moment. “My ring - I told you all I could about Tyranus.”
He looks back and forth between Anakin and the prisoner, then makes a quick decision.
“Let’s hope you’ll prove your gratitude later.”
The ring is set on the metal table with more force than he intended, and he does not bother to watch her pick it up, quickly joining Anakin who is leaving the cell.
“You should go to the medbay.”
“Years of fighting in the war and a restrained prisoner is the one to first break my nose, I can’t believe it.” He silently curses, but Obi-Wan chooses not to scold him this time.
“I’m sure Padmé won’t mind that much,” he comments offhandedly.
“I don’t - What? What do you… No, no, I don’t see why the senator would… I don’t even...”
He gives his padawan a firm pat on the back. “You go to the medbay, I’ll notify the council. It is time we update them on our investigation.”
*
You hate him. You hate him so much, yet the moment he returned your ring, you were close to forgetting that fact. But now, with tiredness settling in your bones, your wrists chafed due to being handcuffed for well over a day, and the golden glint of the ring reminding you of who you could be with right now if it weren’t for Kenobi, your resolve is back.
By now, you know the guards’ routine. Every six hours one comes in to bring a bowl of protein paste and water and one of your hands is released to allow you to eat - but the mechanism only unlocks after the man has left the cell. The force field that traps you inside is opened only when the guard enters, meaning that there is a ten second time frame that it’s open before and after every meal. And you intend to use it.
The next time the trooper enters, you are ready. After he places the bowl on the table and turns his back to you to leave the cell and open your handcuff, you use all of your upper-body strength to push yourself onto your hands on the table and spin across it, your outstretched legs colliding with his helmet with enough force to knock him unconscious. And just as you hoped, his head lies perfectly on the line where the force field would appear - if his brother is willing to sacrifice him, that is.
One blaster bolt - set to stun, you note - soars past you, but you pay no mind to it, stomping onto the remote in the limp trooper’s hand. And there, the handcuffs release your wrists with a hiss, giving you the opportunity to finally move away from the blasted table that held you in place for so long and roll under the next shot the clone fires.
He is knocked out just as easily as his comrade, whom you push out of the way of the force field with your foot. No need for more charges in your file.
An alarm started blaring the moment you crossed the threshold, indicating that more soldiers will be arriving shortly, so you’ll have to be quick. Armed with only one blaster that you managed to snatch from the unconscious trooper before footsteps to your left forced you to hurry away, you run through the hallway you watched Kenobi and his friend come from earlier in the hopes that they came from the evidence room.
Two troopers round the corner before you, but you quickly throw the blaster at one of their heads in order to distract them while keeping the noise down so as to not alert any more soldiers. Before they have actually realized what is happening, you’ve already floored one and crashed the other one’s head into the wall.
“Stun baton,” you mumble, a satisfied smile on your face as you pick up the weapon, though that smile drops when you catch a glimpse of the other trooper whose helmet has come partially off when it smacked against the wall.
There is no reason to be so surprised to see the face of your dead mentor, but it still stings to see such a familiar face in these circumstances.
You deliver a shock to the still conscious trooper, then proceed down the hall. Finally, you see the door labelled ‘Evidence - authorized personnel only’.
You try a few standard password combinations, to no avail. However, a shot at the panel does the job and the blast doors open.
Rushing inside, you already see the box labelled ‘Spectress’ a few feet away from you, when a trooper suddenly appears in front of you with his blaster raised. Footsteps behind you tell you you are surrounded.
“Drop your weapons and hands up.”
Your eyes flicker around you while you slowly bend down to set your weapons on the floor, trying to find a way out of this.
“You don’t want to do this, trust me.” When you raise your hands dutifully, the light hits your ring, giving you an idea so bizarre, it might actually work.
“In the name of the Galactic Republic, we-”
A garbled noise comes from under his helmet when the knife soars into your hand, slitting his throat on the way. You waste no time in ducking under the shots that come at you now, calling the second knife to you and getting to work.
There were six of them, but they were not allowed to kill you. You on the other hand…
That’s six more reasons for them to lock me up for the rest of my life, you think to yourself, sheathing the blades and looking at the mess on the floor.
All the more reason to get off this cruiser now.

Back to reader's POV! Yay! Is she going to escape, or do you think they'll catch her :o ? Tune in next week to find out ;) (I do not like that smiley face, but it was appropriate here) Last week I woke up to so many sweet comments (ao3), I was kind of smiling the whole morning. Even keysmashing or comments like "YES" warm my heart a little :)

what bothers me the most about tros and what i’m most unable to accept is how jj managed to destroy and disrespect EVERY single character. even the ones who technically had “happy endings”🤡
ben - i feel like this one doesn’t even need to be said, but i’ll say it anyways. after years of emotional abuse from palpatine, it’s disheartening to see that jj gave no explanation as to why palpatine wanted ben (personal vendetta against the skywalkers i guess??) when it semed like he only needed rey AND that ben never really triumphed over palpatine in any way. it hurts to know that leia straight up had a vision about her son’s death but that she still seemingly gave up on him despite knowing that he was struggling and that she sent him off to train to be jedi with a luke, when apparently she could’ve done that herself. it’s disheartening that luke who believed even vader could be turned back to the light also gave up on his nephew, when he was just a boy no less. it’s disheartening that although he was the last skywalker (a fact only palpatine acknowledged!), none of his family nor his namesake reached out to help him. instead of telling the last skywalker to rise, they ignored him (as they had apparently done his whole life) in favor of a palpatine. ok. even though as the last skywalker, he really should’ve been the one to have the final kill against palpatine since it was HIS family that palpatine destroyed, he doesn’t. he’s motionless in a pit for the whole final battle. ok. that will never not leave a bad taste in my mouth. his whole family (except for han apparently i love him) gave up on him and clearly so did the writers. as a fan of the skywalkers and their story, this isn’t the ending i wanted for them. especially when luke and leia and han had given their lives to see him turn to the light. and for what? so he could be used as a plot device to conveniently bring rey back to life and then promptly die (even though they’re a force dryad and, according to jj’s own fucking canon, supposedly one) without any fanfare, emotional reaction whatsoever, or later mention? wtf? it’s disrespectful not only to ben solo, who is easily the best character in the sequel trilogy and one of the best characters in ALL of star wars, but it’s disrespectful to the entire skywalker line!! (and to adam driver, who deserved so much better than this shit. go get that oscar)
rey - by making her a palpatine, jj completely disregarded her arc. whatever your opinions about rey nobody, once they went with it, they never should’ve retconned it and turned her into a legacy character in the final film. it felt cheap. in my theater, there was no cheering about this reveal. because jj had never properly set it up and he didn’t even bother to reveal it an impactful way. but what’s most annoying about rey suddenly being a legacy character is that it completely disregards the fact that she was powerful on her OWN, without any famous blood making her that way. furthermore, by turning her into the chosen one and giving her the entire skywalker legacy (which felt like a slap in the face to the skywalkers imo), she did turn into a mary sue, one of the biggest complaints about her since day 1. she was overpowered, morally perfect, and never faced any failure. i struggled to root for her as the “hero” because i felt everything was handed to her on a silver platter. so not only did jj turn her into a mary sue and take her power away from her by turning her into a legacy, but he also destroyed the fact that her whole arc had been “seeking belonging” and a family. rather than having her final scenes be with her new found family, she ends the movie with her canon soulmate dead and no one but a droid by her side on a desert planet of all places. to add further insult to injury, she also disregards her family name even though they supposedly loved her and sacrificed themselves for her (despite the fact that they sold her but whatever) in favor of a last name of a guy she had barely known. she had more emotional connection to han or leia, but she didn’t take their last name. she took luke’s, the guy who had refused to teach her and who she had come to view in a more negative light towards the end of tlj. in this house i will not EVER be calling her rey sky- i can’t even say it🤢
finn - in all honestly, they screwed finn’s character arc in episode 1 when jj turned him into a lovesick sidekick who served as comedic relief. as a deserted stormtrooper, he could’ve had the most interesting storylines. and he should have. but apparently the writers forgot about him. although they mention his past BRIEFLY, it’s paid no real weight or attention. instead, he spends the whole movie once again trying to (possibly) confess his feeling for rey. and for what? probably just to bait finnrey fans and prove the character’s heterosexuality bc it goes absolutely nowhere. although we find out he’s force sensitive, that too is glossed over and has no lasting effect. he’s also made co general, which okay cool, but then he does nothing?? so while finn could have and should have been a main character with an interesting storyline, they turn him into your average run of the mill action hero with an occasional quip. john boyega, sweetie, i’m so sorry (but i guess that’s kind of what he wanted since he hated tlj, the only movie where he actually had a main role with any character growth?? idk)
poe - it’s once again evident that they originally intended to kill off poe bc he has no arc whatsoever. he gets a little backstory as a drug smuggler now ig, which really came out of left field considering the already established canon with his past as a pilot. he’s more of the same in this movie, except more unlikable than usual (imo). he’s still stubborn, occasionally funny, but mostly he just bickers with rey, which isn’t funny, at all necessary, and doesn’t add anything to the “trio’s” dynamic. he’s at his best when he’s with finn but then, of course, jj has to remind us of how straight he is every single scene so. another character like finn who could have been great, but with the lazy writing, he has no arc, no backstory, no character growth, so he’s just mediocrity personified and just kind of there.
zorii & jannah - both could’ve been awesome. both are just there for a brief introduction and to help the heroes with maybe one thing and that’s it. both deserved better.
the skywalkers - yeah jj really said a big fuck you to luke, leia, and anakin most of all. the WORST part of tros is the fact that it basically makes the previous six episodes useless. anakin’s redemption arc? what does it matter now? he didn’t successfully bring balance to the force. he didn’t successfully kill palpatine. and now his entire bloodline is dead. ok cool😎 thank you jj!!!! what a hopeful end to the skywalker saga!!!! i love seeing that anakin failed and wasn’t REALLY the chosen one. i love that luke and leia gave their legacy to a descendant of the guy who tried to tear apart and terrorized their family. that’s really nice. i love that anakin NEVER reached out to help his grandson who struggled with the dark just like he did. but that he came in just in time to tell palp’s granddaughter to rise😍 really hopeful, lovely ending. thanks again jj! thanks for making leia seem like a bad mother who sees visions about her son but just throws in the towel and doesn’t really try to help him?? wtf??? not my princess leia. also tros luke? truly the worst luke. i really have no other words, i’m just disappointed. jj let me down in every single way possible and ones i didn’t even realize he could.
palpatine - jj also managed to ruin the best star wars villain, a feat i didn’t even think possible. palpatine had always seemed scary to me because of his inhuman qualities. but in this one, he’s back with no explanation whatsoever. he just is. he somehow managed to survive (ok🙄) and furthermore he had a kid. what in the fuck? jj clearly read harry potter and the cursed child, but he clearly also forgot to read the reviews. NOBODY LIKES IT WHEN THE PREVIOUSLY UNTOUCHABLE/SCARY VILLAIN HAS A KID OUT OF NOWHERE. NOBODY. i seriously spent the entire movie wondering who the heck would sleep with him? that’s it. he didn’t seem menacing or at all like a threat. this movie genuinely had no stakes whatsoever (that’s why ben’s death feels so out of left field bc literally for what?! but i digress) also the final “fight” where rey kills him??? very lame. he supposedly survived all those years to be taken out like that?? no thank you, i’d like a refund.
in conclusion, thank you to jj for ruining my favorite franchise by killing off every last one of my favorite characters, destroying the skywalker legacy (& killing them off), ruining seriously every character, and leaving me with despair!!! while i’ll continue to watch star wars without including episode 9, it sucks that some of my joy is zapped from my favorite series. because this is how future generations will know star wars. with this shitty ending. and any future movies will have this canon. and that really fricking sucks. thanks, i hate it.
anyways feel free to message if you’re also in the depths of despair about how this all ended!! bc the more i think about it, the sadder/angrier i get.

Qui-Gon was meditating in the Garden when Obi-Wan approached him. He was sitting near a patch of flowers that the master and padawan pair had planted together after the plant had been gifted to them when they were both younger. It was one of best memories he had of the both of them. Obi-Wan stood next to him and bit his lip. “Master,” he murmured hesitantly.
His master didn’t open his eyes and took a sharp breath. “Fantastic,” Qui-Gon grumbled to himself, furrowing his brow. “Hallucinations. I knew it would not be good but-,” he sighed.
Obi-Wan took a deep breath and turned to kneel in front of him. He gently took his master’s hands which were resting on his legs previously. “Not a hallucination, master-mine,” he assured quietly. Qui-Gon was silent for a moment, hand shaking and curling around Obi-Wan’s. Tears began to leak out as the older man took another breath. “I am here, master. You can open your eyes,” he coaxed, softly.
“I fear to,” Qui-Gon whispered. “I fear I open them, and you are gone – or worse – someone else is there.”
“I swear to you, on all of those we have ever held dear that I am right in front of you – alive and whole…just with slightly less hair. My apologies, I look fairly terrible.”
Qui-Gon choked back something between a choked sob and a laugh.
“Come on, master. It’s okay. I promise.”
Slowly, the older master obeyed and opened his eyes. A fresh wave of tears washed over him as his hands rose out of Obi-Wan’s to cradle his former padawan’s face, cupping his cheeks. He gasped, disbelieving, as if unable to reach air.
“You look so young without the beard,” he croaked.
Obi-Wan smiled, leaning into the touch just a bit. “Why do you think I grew it out in the first place,” he chuckled, warmly.
“I can feel you,” he whispered.
“This is real, master.”
“You’re alive. How? What…what happened?”
Obi-Wan glanced away guiltily as he took a deep breath, grieved. The older master felt bad for asking. “I’m sorry master…”
Qui-Gon reached quickly in the Force, into his padawan’s presence and felt so much, such a myriad of emotions. He quickly went to interrupt him. In the end, it didn’t matter. Obi-Wan would never do something like this to hurt him so whatever happened, it was probably necessary. He was always doing what was best for others. And he already obviously felt awful about it, Qui-Gon didn’t want to add to that. Force, his padawan was alive. He made his relief known, sending it through the force in waves. “Never mind, padawan. Don’t worry about it. We can talk about it later. I don’t care that much.”
Obi-Wan looked torn. “I had to fake my death. Master, I-”
“Shhh,” Qui-Gon hushed and wrapped his arms around his old padawan and pulled him close. “It’s okay. I’m not mad; I swear I’m not. You did what you must. I am so relieved and grateful you are alive padawan-mine.”
Obi-Wan sighed in relief and nestled into the crook of his neck, like he was still young and a child and as if Qui-Gon could still carry him around easily. “I never wanted to hurt you,” he whispered.
“I know, I know,” Qui-Gon assured in a murmur, rubbing his back lightly. “I simply fear I will lose you to this war; in all of your plans and strategies. That you will get so lost in the war meetings and you won’t come back to me whole.”
“I’m just trying –”
“To save everyone, I know. You have always been a protector, Obi-Wan, a guardian, who only wants to help and protect people. I am so proud of that person, the man that you have become. So much light and kindness and compassion.” Qui-Gon started, and he had a hard time stopping. He had spent so much time during Obi-Wan’s padawanship quiet and closed off; not often giving nearly enough of himself. He always deserved more. It would never be enough, Qui-Gon was sure, but all he could do was try to make up as much as he could with the time he got. Post Naboo, alongside the verbal smacks he got from his friends and colleagues, had certainly helped him realize his relationship with Obi-Wan had to shift. He would never stop trying. “I know you and I know you do not take these things lightly. Whatever, you did, whatever you had to do, I believe you did it for your duty and what was right. You are so good at this, protecting and doing things for the greater good. You always work for the bigger picture. Just please, please do not lose yourself to it. I am not meant to outlive you.”
Obi-Wan exhaled, practically melting into him. “I will do my best, master. I want you to be able to travel to worlds again without the threat of a galactic war. I know you miss the travel.”
“I know. And when this is over, we will go to a beautiful system, something with waterfalls and trees and wildlife. To meditate and eat new food. See the living force in all things. A long and well-deserved vacation. Together.”
Obi-Wan hummed as he smiled against his old master. “I’d like that.”
“You can even let your men tag along if they want. Force knows I would never be able to stop them.”
Obi-Wan laughed, quiet and stifled. “I think I can probably narrow it down to Ghost Company.”
Qui-Gon grinned. “Those men are protective and a bit terrifying.”
“They do keep up with me.”
“Ah, to be young and able to keep up with the Republic’s best high general,” he added, wistfully. How he wished he could still do that; what he wouldn’t give to be able to have his padawan’s back once more. It was difficult trusting others – even ones as capable as Commander Cody and the 212th – to protect Obi-Wan. “I suppose they are a worthy replacement for me.” The two had leaned back, sitting in the grass but Qui-Gon did keep his grasp on Obi-Wan’s arms.
“They’d be honored to hear that, I imagine,” he smiled shyly.
“I hear a few are bragging about being your favorites.”
“Waxer and Boil.”
Qui-Gon grinned triumphantly as Obi-Wan blushed, just a bit, caught in the phrase. “So, they are?”
“They are two of my best,” Obi-Wan admitted and chuckled watching as Qui-Gon’s thumbs rubbed circles on his arms. “You and Waxer would get along, I think.”
Qui-Gon didn’t doubt it. If anyone knew him, it was his former padawan. “I believe you.”
“I imagine you haven’t eaten or slept in quite some time.”
The change of subject nearly caught him off guard. “Hmmm.”
“Let’s go get something to eat. I have to tell Dex I’m alive, anyways,” Obi-Wan explained with a lopsided smile. “He has probably seen it on the news, but I figured I should tell him in person. And you know, get some food too.”
“I would like to see that. He may crush your ribs, hugging you.”
“Perhaps,” Obi-Wan laughed again. “But quite worth it. And then, afterwards, you will be sleeping.”
“I’ve been spending most time at your apartment,” Qui-Gon admitted. Obi-Wan just nodded.
“That’s fine. I don’t really sleep well in beds as of late. I’ll as the quartermaster for a field cot.”
“How is Anakin faring?” Qui-Gon changed the subject as Obi-Wan helped him to his feet. The younger man frowned but kept his footing.
“Not well, I fear,” he hummed. “He is rather cross with me and the Council.”
“But surely he was happy to discover you alive.”
Obi-Wan hesitated.
“Padawan?”
“I’m sure he is…but uh…he hasn’t behaved that way.”
“I’m sorry, Obi-Wan. He will come around. It is unwise not to be grateful for you coming back to us.” Qui-Gon nearly rolled his eyes. Anakin was being foolish and taking this all too personally. Being upset that Obi-Wan died, he could understand. He could even understand being upset that Obi-Wan didn’t tell him (even though Qui-Gon completely understood why Obi-Wan didn’t; Anakin had plenty difficulty controlling his emotions and reactions) but to not show such happiness knowing he is alive? That was ridiculous. What Qui-Gon wouldn’t give to find any of his loved ones alive again.
Obi-Wan’s gaze softened. “Thank you master.”
Qui-Gon linked his arm with his former padawan, this boy that he loved so much, and walked with him through the temple and towards their favorite diner. “Of course, padawan-mine. But for now, we will go buy some good food from good friends and keep everything away until tomorrow. They can wait.”

Star Wars: Timestamps and Thoughts; The Empire Strikes Back
Salutations to all. Welcome back to my blog thing? Anyways today is the one and only The Empire Strikes Back which I think may be the most iconic Star Wars movie. But, don’t quote me on that. I’m only saying that as someone who has heard about Star Wars movies from the outside and honestly out of all the movies The Empire Strikes Back is the one movie I’ve always heard about; name-wise. I don’t think I know any spoilers about this movie, so we’ll see. I’m new to this and I don’t know what I’m doing so please have mercy and help a sister out, thanks. I have some idea based on what the movie is about based on the name but I’ll just take what Disney Plus tells me. I honestly have nothing to say. Should I start writing predictions before writing the timestamps and writing my reaction if I’m right or wrong based on the last movie I watched. Does that make sense? I can’t think of any other way to word it differently but if it makes sense then okay, let’s continue. This isn’t a prediction but um is this the movie where Luke finds about his parentage? Or is it a bit too early? Am I too early? Oh well. While adding timestamps I thought it would be a cool idea to add a “Favorite Scene” section under my “Final Thoughts” sections, I hope y’all like it.
03/9 Edit: Y’all sorry this is late but tomorrow is my birthday and I decided to not do my schoolwork and instead watch Star Wars and write. Before y’all get any ideas: yes. I am in fact still a minor. thanks. 04/3 edit: I AM SORRY THIS IS LATE I HAVE NO EXCUSE
Movie: Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back
Release Date: 1980
Summary(?): So obviously the Empire is going to strike back right? And Luke has to find Yoda to learn the ways of the Force? No? Oh and a final show down with Vader? Am I wrong again?
Warning: spoilers (yea no duh bibi) and mild language on my part

00:20:32- oh no, the music ended
00:20:38- wait nvm it’s continuing we stand
00:20:40- breathing problems much?
00:20:52- It’s Darth Vader
00:21:47- wait, didn’t he (Luke) almost die? shouldn’t he like oh I don’t know RESTING?!
00:22:47- have i mentioned that I live for the Imperial March? ‘cause I love it
00:23:39- OH

00:23:57- so he’s like dead, right?

00:26:05- what the hell are Imperial Walkers?
00:26:27- oh. are those Imperial Walkers? Those robot-looking dogs? omg I thought they were talking about Stormtroopers.
00:26:30- laser beam robot doggies did not hesitate
00:26:40- aw look at Luke being leadership material
00:27:09- wow these walkers are slow huh as to be expected
00:27:50- OH NO DAK bruhh nooo
00:28:09- are those robot dogs really gonna win?
00:28:21- LANDING? You mean Vader isn’t even fighting down there? Is he going to join? Or just find Luke and kidnap him and spill the beans? Or is that just my active imagination running too far?
00:28:39- the music...*beautiful*
00:28:58- tying the feet and tripping the doggies seems to be the moves huh
00:29:15- ooh and face first into the snow. how embarrassing...
00:29:20- I just know someone is losing their job or life like that one dude from before
00:30:18- i like the explosions
00:30:52- while one of the those little planes fall i’m sitting here thinking: most book/movie/tv shows that have the whole two sides thing (good vs bad) there always seems to be a traitor which makes me wonder if the good guys have a traitor? possible plot? idk, we’ll see won’t we?
00:31:18- the way these little doggies walk keep reminding me of some eerie Tim Burton movie and idk whyyy
00:33:04- two robot doggies down one more to go
00:33:25- man I just know someone from the Dark Force is gonna be dead fired
00:34:08- are those stormtroopers? They run funny
00:34:12- Darth Vader!
00:34:45- wait i’m dumb. did Vader invade the building/camp they were hiding at?
00:35:18- what does Vader want exactly? Princess Leia? Luke? the so-called “rebel plans”? What am I missing?
00:35:42- they really said: “peace out”

01:54:04- wait, how does leia know where luke is? this some kind of force thing? maybe twin thing?
01:54:37- oh thank god they found luke
01:58:01- does vader care for luke? I mean probably not a lot since he DID chop off his sons own hand so idk
02:01:58- credits/the end
Final Thoughts? Wow. No yeah, I totally understand why Empire Strikes Back is a loved by all. It was amazing. I understand why it’s so talked about. This movie is beautiful; Leia/Han romance, 3PO and R2 banter, the good action. The soundtrack-THE SOUNDTRACK is SPECTACULAR and I would often fins myself rewinding scenes just to listen to the music. The visuals were so striking and appealing and it really showed during the showdown between luke and vader.
Favorite Scene? Luke meeting Yoda and not knowing that Yoda was Yoda and every scene that included the Imperial March in the background.
If you have made it this far, thank you. I hope none of you people get tired of me fangirling over the Imperial March whilst simultaneously simping over Luke. Thank you for joining me on my adventure of watching Star Wars for the first time. If there’s any grammar mistakes I apologize. Also I got a cute R2 lego keychain from the lego store. Also if you want leave some comments I’m lowkey lonely. Thank you once again for joining me.
