Reverse Falls!!
Soo this is my take on Reverse Falls!! I don't really know which are the original designs or which are the new personalities that each character adapts, so I made my own headcanons!! :3
It should be noted that there are characters who do not change personalities with anyone, but rather their personalities are more exaggerated or are opposite to the originals. Or (in the case of McGucket) their relationships are different so they change their way of being progressively.
EXPLANATION TIME:
This is quite long, I'm going to explain the personalities of each one and how they relate to various characters. Credits to: hours of daydreaming and Google Translate (TW: child abuse, emotional and physical abuse, homophobia, classism. I don't know if there's anything else, just in case)
Pacifica Northwest: Outgoing and very expressive. She didn't know Gideon very well until her parents sent her to Reverse Falls. She likes to knit, draw, and has a lot of stuffed animals. She has a lot of hair, and likes to do different hairstyles every day ("to be innovative"), cries when she has to cut it. She is very affectionate with Gideon and tries to get him out of his shell. She is a little insecure, but likes to see the positive side of things. She gets along very well with Bud, although sometimes she feels he is a little weird. Symbol: Llama (on her sweater)
Gideon Gleefull: Insecure, has little self-confidence, very skittish and anxious. Has a habit of chewing when he is thinking, like OG!Dipper (chewing on pens, his shirt, etc.). He didn't really know how to talk to Paz at first since the first time they met they were very little, what was she going to say?, was a "Hello" enough?, a handshake?, a complicated handshake?, was she going to ignore him? Paz simply gave him a big hug when she got off the bus (+ gave him a sweater she made on the way). Symbol: Telepathy star (in his hat)
Bud Gleefull: Ultimate scammer. Very friendly and funny, although sometimes a little intimidating. Bye Hawaiian shirts. Very patient with Gideon. He is basically the “cool uncle/dad”. He put Paz to work the day she arrived, although he became attached very quickly and gave her family privileges (he does the same with Gideon).
Mason “Dipper” Pines: He is still very insecure but is able to feign confidence when standing on stage with his sister. He still has a lot of passion for science, he is not very affectionate, he holds back his emotions as he does not want to look vulnerable, especially in front of Stanford. He has a lot of respect for Ford (or rather, fear), being his apprentice he sees him more as a teacher, a superior figure than as an uncle; however he has very little respect for Stan, threatening him and making fun of him. He does not usually use his amulet much, only to practice tricks or in his shows. He has a very distant relationship with his sister, similar to that of the Stan twins. They have many disagreements, but they still have each other's back, especially when Ford is aggressive with one of them. The most sincere relationship he has is with F, although he still treats him like an employee, knowing that he was one of the brilliant minds behind the portal he respects him. Sometimes he discusses theories and shares discoveries with him (although he is embarrassed to think that his only "friend" is an employee of his uncle). Once he met Gideon and Paz, he was able to show his more fragile side and be himself, although he doesn't consider them completely friends (that changes post-weirdmageddon). Symbol: Pine tree (a small pin)
Mabel Pines: A spoiled brat, basically. She's very charming and friendly on stage and with guests at the Pines' many parties, but she's very whiny and selfish behind the scenes. She's not at all affectionate, to the point that she hates physical contact, especially if it's from townspeople. She resents her brother a lot for being Ford's "favorite" (he doesn't really have favorites, he's just less strict with Dipper because he's useful to him). She's Stan's spoiled child, giving her what she wants when she wants it (they have a nice relationship actually, Stan being one of the only ones who comforts her when she's sad). Instead of knitting, she likes to design her own dresses and accessories for shows and parties (her guilty pleasure is arts & crafts, since it's a very "childish" activity for a Pines). Obsessed with Paz, but learns to respect her limits throughout the story. Symbol: Shooting Star (a small pin)
Stanley Pines: He basically swaps personalities with Bud, runs the Telepathy Tent, is very friendly, and is scared of his brother and the twins. He never gets involved in Ford's experiments, having a very tense relationship with him. He loves the twins very much but knowing the power they have with those amulets he prefers to go along with them and not question too much what they ask (he knows when to be firm but the one who really has an impact on them and can make them see reason is Ford). Symbol: Oyster(?? (on a necklace)
Stanford F. Pines: Did you think OG! Ford was a jerk? Well now he's twice as much! He doesn't have an ounce of empathy in him, he's very narcissistic and only cares about his projects and his image. He doesn't care at all about the twins, only seeing them as a way to make money, demanding the most out of them, and he doesn't hesitate to use violence if any of them get out of line. He's very distant with Stanley, speaking to him very dryly (or rather, barely speaking to him at all). He's almost a hermit, living in his laboratory, not letting the townspeople get to know him; although unlike OG! Ford, he cares a lot about how he presents himself in front of the public, taking care of his image and clothing. He's very demanding with Mabel, as he feels she's nothing more than a spoiled child, the image of the Telepathy Tent along with her brother. He is a bit kinder to Dipper, as he realizes that he has a brilliant mind for his age (though not more so than his own), so he includes him in many of his experiments and research if he proves useful; but excluding that, he is just as insensitive as he is with his twin, mistreating him if he does not comply with what is due. His relationship with McGucket is kinda weird: although they were friends in college, the power that Bill/Will offered him completely consumed him, being abusive to F, forcing him to work long nights, keeping him awake by force. He only sees him for his use: his great skill with mechanics (which Ford does not have, although he hates to mention it). Although he was in love with F while he was at Backupsmore, he currently has no romantic feelings towards him, considering him an employee, his assistant, nothing more. He has internalized homophobia (a gift from Filbrick) and classism, so he hates to remember when his relationship with F was one of equals, friends. It disgusts him to think about when he would get so emotional around him. Symbol: Six Fingered Hand (the diaries)
Fiddleford H. McGucket: He is still the brilliant mind he was in his youth, but stress eats him alive. He started to age very quickly thanks to it. He invented the memory gun to try to forget all the horrible things he witnessed or that Ford made him suffer, but his boss doesn't allow him to use it too much since it can damage his mental health and erase knowledge, making him less efficient and useful. He doesn't have a very deep relationship with Stanley, since he practically lives in the lab where Ford forces him to work, but they are able to talk whenever F has a break (almost never). He can't stand the twins too much, not only because he feels that they are very annoying, but because the simple presence of children in his day to day life reminds him a lot of Tate, with whom he no longer has contact. Everyone knows about the abusive relationship he has with Stanford, they are not indifferent to it but they try not to mention it or get involved in his affairs (practically out of fear of Ford). Throughout his stay with Stanford he started developing an emotional dependence on him: not only did he make him feel that he was useless without him, but he uses violence on him when he is not fulfilling his duty, causing F to blame himself when this happens (What did he do wrong? What can he do to improve?). This got to the point where he started to hurt himself when he did not do something right. Ex: hitting himself when he noticed that his leg was bouncing in front of his anxiety (something that bothers Ford a lot), pulling out clumps of hair in front of the stress of not being able to achieve something, biting his nails, scratching himself, hitting his head (imagine Dobby from HP). Such actions and the mixed feelings he had towards Ford, made him develop masochism, enjoying when he inflicts pain on himself and when he is the victim of Ford's physical and psychological abuse, he clearly hid this for a while since it would look very unprofessional on his part. Eventually his boss found out and used this to his advantage, being quite sadist himself (he enjoys watching or inflicting pain and/or humiliation on others, in this case, he gets sexual pleasure). So every time Ford needs to let off some steam, vent his frustrations (or is just horny), he uses Fiddleford to fulfill his fantasies, making F's wishes come true as well. He basically uses him as a sex toy, and F doesn't complain, having suffered so much emotional manipulation, he even considers himself lucky that his boss wants to be with him like this, even if it's NOT healthy. Symbol: Spectacles
Bill Cipher: I don't like the idea of changing his name, so Bill stays. He's still the same chaotic demon as in the original series, but this time he's been tricked by Ford into working for him and doing his bidding. He's also forced to do the twins' bidding. We already know that Bill can change his shape and color, so I think all of his shame and self-pity manifests itself in his appearance, turning blue over time (any strong emotion makes him change his appearance). He manipulates Gideon and Paz, making them feel sorry for him so they'll do his bidding (it doesn't work, clearly). The people he has the most contact with are Ford and Fiddleford, as they spend most of their time in the basement where he's locked up.
So that's it. I don't really know how this timeline would work, considering the portal and the journals, but I just wanted to have fun with the character designs and relationships (I feel like the weirdmageddon would happen sooner than in the original timeline). If you want me to go deeper into certain relationships or characters, let me know!!(≧▽≦) I'll see if I can go deeper into the relationship between Ford and Fiddleford that you guys liked so much (you guys really like toxic yaoi, huh??). I'm thinking of making a fanfic or smt to explain their day to day life in the lab and how Ford invited F to work with him (SPOILER: it didn't go well...).
That's it ig, LIKE AND SUSCRIBE!!!1!!1!Σ(°ロ°)

The Beginning: Part I
COLEY: We never meant for any of this to happen. People roll their eyes when they hear us say that, but it couldn’t be more true. I especially had no intention of going into music. I wasn’t raised up in it in the way that the guys were. Sure, it was on at the house while my parents cleaned or cooked, and of course was on in the car, but dad was an aviation mechanic, and mom was a speech therapist. They’d get home and would both sit together in silence as a means of unwinding, instead of sitting around fires and singing “Kumbaya.”
The music began for me when I met Jake in the seventh grade.
2008
Her blue eyes trace along the various notes being scribbled along the white board, the squeak of expo marker causing them twitch every now and then as Mr. Hall tries his hardest to explain the basics of music to his classroom full of young aspiring musicians that he hopes to aid in perfecting their craft.
“…A half-note,” He draws an open circle with a stem. “Then half-rest—which you can remember easier by recalling it looks like a tophat. So, half rest is like a hat rest.” He makes himself giggle with that one, coloring in the half rest.
He examines his finished work, the various quarter notes, half notes, whole notes, and their rests.
“And remember you’ll know, of course, what sound you’re going to get based on this,” He circles the treble clef symbol he had drawn on the staff, and then does the same to the bass clef.
“What about Tabs?” It pulls the attention of the class when its asked by who some would deem one of the class loud-mouths, Joseph.
“Well, tablature is a different arrangement entirely because it’s for strings like guitar and bass.” Mr. Hall says but humors Joseph, drawing another staff with six lines and five spaces with “TAB” scribbled vertically down it where the Treble and Bass clef could go.
Instead of musical notation in the form of what he’s displayed previously, he writes numbers scattered throughout the staff, the sight sending an ache through several heads with.
Coley can’t even bear through equations in math that her teacher insists are “simple,” let alone grasp how to even begin to grasp reading numbers and utilizing them whilst playing an instrument of any sort. The thought of numbers being brought into music outside of the count of time notes or rests should be forbidden.
She’s not alone by any means, a pair of equally as confused eyes crinkling in attempted concentration, causing his dark lashes to further accentuate his brown irises—the red-headed girl sitting next to him taking note and staring.
He takes note of her taking note, and gives her a little smirk, proud that his plan to sit in the flute section with all the girls is already paying off on the first day.
“Why don’t string instruments use notes?” The girl next to him asks what Coley’s also thinking, and Mr. Hall pushes his glasses up his face and clears his throat, trying to explain it so they can understand as best as seventh graders can.
“Well, imagine this as the neck of a guitar,” He motions to his drawing of the lines, “With frets, which are the spaces in between the vertical lines you see on guitars underneath the strings,” He draws vertical lines through his horizontal lines, around his numbers. “The numbers tell you what fret you’re in, and the lines here…” He motions to the six horizontal lines he’s drawn, “...Are the strings you pick. So it’s no different, really, than reading off music for a flute or saxophone, or tuba. Only one hand is acting as the control for how much sound is made instead of a mouth, while the other hand controls the placement and therefore the expression of that sound.”
“Is it the same for twelve strings?” Joseph adds.
“Twelve strings?” Hope now voices.
“What’s the difference?” Coley finally speaks up, herself, mortified with the thought of what that might look like written out in Tabs.
Jake’s neck nearly breaks when he snaps his attention to his right, hearing her show genuine curiosity in something he himself wasn’t too bad at.
He leans forward a bit to get a better look at her where she’s seated two girls down from Hope as Coley adds, “Is it harder to play?” She presses next, nearly stuttering it out when she notices that one half of the infamous Kiszka twins is going out of his way–quite literally–to look at her as she speaks.
Jake’s hand is reaching out before he can stop himself, extending to her as he quietly says, “I’m Jake.”
Coley’s taken back by his forwardness, but brushes off her trepidation, only able to reach his fingers with her own as they’re doing so around three classmates between them.
Even when they pull away from one another, Jake keeps his eyes fixed on her in a struck look.
Well, “stare” would be a better word for it, because even when she hides the smile that he brings to her face just by his gaze, and she focuses once again on their teacher, he can’t bring himself to do the same.
JAKE: We were in science together the year before, and our sisters had crossed paths at some point in elementary school and became friends, so I knew of her. And I’d always thought she was cute, but seventh grade was the year that, naturally, girls stopped being just “cute”, and started being regarded as pretty. Which was a bit unpalatable because most of us guys were standing shorter than them, and they barely paid us any attention until the following year.
But it wasn’t hard getting her attention, or keeping it, I learned–and she was an expert at hijacking mine even when she wasn’t trying to.
She had these stone blue eyes and dark blonde hair that she detested because it was like “dishwater” in the colder months, or when we wouldn’t be able to get much sun… I don’t think she’d appreciate me disclosing it, being that she’s kept it ambiguous all this time, but she stopped getting taller in eighth grade which is why she’d always wear heels later on—even when her feet would be bruised and sore from constantly doing shows, press, and outings.
She was a pretty girl and I was a hormonal teenage boy, so of course she intrigued me.
But what really compelled me was her interest in the very thing I lived and breathed.
The initial stun is cut short when Joseph butts in once more to interrupt Mr. Hall, who is readying himself to answer Coley’s question, “Does it matter?”
“I think it does.” She retorts to her classmate, tucking blonde hair behind her ear as he raises his dark brows and quips, “Oh, are you gonna play or something?”
“I don’t have to just to be interested in how it works, do I?” She turns and looks at her classmate who’s got his arms crossed.
Jake watches the exchange and scoffs under his breath.
“If you can’t play it anyway, then why waste your time?” Joseph inquires next.
“Who said she can’t play it?” Hope now turns, scowling at the boy as Jake turns in his seat to also look at him, adding a smug, “Yeah, who said?” shooting a wink at Coley when she glances at him–her eyes rolling at his attempt to stay in her good graces.
COLEY: Everyone knew who Josh and Jake were all on account of their identical looks and endless array of shenanigans they’d inflict upon teachers and classmates alike—all in innocent fun that made everyone involved laugh—except for the teachers, of course. I only knew them because my little sister, Julianne, was friends with their little sister, Veronica.
Jake was cute but he was so full of shit. I don’t think he actually gave a rat’s ass about our bickering over girls playing guitar, but I appreciated the notion of him staring another boy down and silently daring him to continue to shove his foot further down his own throat—even if it was probably just because he knew the trick to getting all the girls was to be on our side of things.
“What? Girls don’t play guitar.” Joseph defends himself as Mr. Hall’s voice falls to the background while trying to get them back on task.
“So…Taylor Swift just has a guitar she bought just to freaking cry on it?” Hope smarts back.
“She’s rich enough to.” Joseph pipes.
“Anybody can play anything. Music does not discriminate against gender or age.” Mr. Hall finally speaks loud enough for them to hear him over themselves. “And like I said before, Tabs aren’t relevant here because we don’t work with string instruments. And with that being said, Mr. Wilson, please go do some research on women in music.” He adds to Joseph without even giving him a second glance while laughs are stifled.
The bell eventually dismisses the middle schoolers, all of which either rushing to the bus or heading to the carpool line to be picked up by guardians with the conclusion of the first day of school.
“Bye, Coley,” Hope says to her in passing, pulling a smile from her acquaintance who says back, “Bye, Hope.”
Securing her book-bag over her shoulders, she pushes the door open and turns her head when she sees someone stepping alongside her in her peripheral vision.
“He’s an ass.” Jake says, grinning down at her as she scoffs and nods out, “Yeah, a little bit. I think he’s just mad I didn’t flirt back with him in homeroom.”
“I’m Jake.” He holds his hand up for her to grasp, and she raises her brows.
“We just did this, didn’t we?” She asks him, cutting her eyes and motioning her thumb back toward the bandroom.
“We did but not an actual handshake.” He explains to her. “Fingers don’t really count. It’s gotta be palm-to-palm.”
“Oh, does it?” She has to bite into her tongue to keep from giggling as his blatant attempt to get her to grab his hand again.
His efforts pay off, her hand meeting his in a true, firm handshake that has them both grinning smugly.
“I’m Coley.” She says to hopefully push through the ice all the more, to which he quickly states, “I know who you are. We were in Mrs. Snell's class together last year.”
“Were we?” She plays it off, knowing full-well that they were without wanting to give him a big ego about her taking notice of him.
“Mhmm.” He nods as they continue walking. “We, um, we’ve had a class together almost every year since third grade, actually.”
“Really?” This time, it’s not a lie.
She couldn’t keep up through the years since their school system kept switching between block periods and regular seven period classes–one year even throwing in an eighth period.
“Yeah.” He nods.
“I thought that was your brother…” She says, next, trying to recall exactly, and he chuckles.
“Some days it might’ve been. We switched around sometimes.” He explains, recalling the mornings he and his twin would go to each other’s classes and play it off through the day, no one suspecting anything.
It became harder to do the older they became as differentiating facial features began to develop with their different hairstyles.
“I wish me and one of my sisters would’ve been twins.” She says to him with a smile, pondering at the bond they must share.
“No, you don’t.” He rushes to promise, shaking his head. “It’s annoying. I mean, I’m either ‘the other Josh’ or Josh is either ‘the other Jake,’ and people expect us to like the same things, or have the same personality, or taste in music or food…it’s stupid.”
They’ve slowed their pace down to have more time with one another without even realizing it, Coley nodding as she tells him, “My older sister, Sherri, she’s three years older than me. Well, Dr. Miller looked at me this morning in math and told me how excited he is to teach another Payne because Sherri was such a delight to have…which translates to, ‘she was very smart and was a breeze to teach’...I didn’t have the heart to tell him that I’m probably gonna be the student that finishes off that last patch of hair on his head.”
He laughs as she continues, “I’ve been getting things like that since I got into Kindergarten, and Jules says she gets the same things about me from her teachers that I’ve had–and I’m sure Emmy’s gonna get it about Jules.”
“Ah, see Ronnie’s a saint compared to me and Josh–easy. Sam has been up until now, at least. Mine and Josh’s old teachers probably thank God that mom and dad managed to have at least one normal one.”
“Sherri’s the saint, I try, Jules is good with school work but she’s mouthy at home at times, Emmy’s only six and is already the coolest out of all of us, and I don’t know about Maisie because she’s only a month old.” Coley says.
Jake keeps the comment about so many girls living under one roof to himself, having heard his mom and dad countlessly say, “Poor Cole,” and “Poor Tammy,” when speaking about the Paynes, though he’s sure that even Mr. and Mrs. Payne themselves would agree fully.
As they approach the front of the school, Jake finds himself grappling to hold onto the conversation as tightly as he can, clearing his throat and saying, “So, um, I know you said you don’t necessarily have interest in it but I play guitar, and I could—if you want—show you a couple chords or…” He trails off when she stops and looks at him as if struggling to pin-point his motive. “...Or just forget I said anything and I will go lay across the train tracks downtown—”
“No! No, that’s not…no, I just…” She giggles and struggles to put her words together coherently, shocked with his suggestion. “...I don’t wanna…like…” Her mind draws a blank, her eyes closing before she lets out a breath and tries again, “I’m okay with that. I just don’t want you to feel like you have to because of what some ass said.”
“I want to.” He shrugs. “My dad has a couple guitars, we can do it at my house once a week or something after school—just not on Wednesdays because mom drags us with her when she teaches CCD.”
Coley ponders what the Kiszka bunch being let loose in a church might look like, but sets it aside as she nods slowly but surely.
“What about Mondays and Fridays?” She suggests to him.
“I’m fine with it if you are.” He agrees.
“Okay, I’ll talk to my mom and see if she’s okay with it and I’ll let you know.”
“Alright.” He has to force himself from caring too much, or at least appearing to care too much, playing off his excitement with another nod.
“Alright.” She repeats after him, seeing her sister’s car waiting for her by the curb.
Giving him another smile, she offers a wave and a, “Bye,” to which he returns as cooly as he can while he watches her climb into the old honda civic and pull off—the both of them reeling with elation from the deal they’ve just made.
JAKE: We had grown up immersed in music, literature, film, art…practically soaked in it the moment we came out of the womb.
Dad always kept instruments lying out, not really worrying about me or Josh bothering them all too much. But once I could crawl, I immediately became drawn to his guitar that he’d often leave aside on the floor.
It drove my mom insane, constantly telling him to put it up because she didn’t want me to fuck it up…but it was like dad just knew I needed to start fumbling around with it.
Sure enough, by the time I was three, I was obsessed, and as I got older my mom’s brother, Dave, would start working with me some on actually learning it in a way that it would sound coherent.
Everything he taught me, I passed on to Coley.
A clumsy spill of a single chord echos from the acoustic guitar, her eyes immediately widening as she abruptly pulls back from the instrument, Jake quick to assure her, “No, it’s okay,” with a shy smile.
She relaxes, watching him play the chord again for her on his own guitar.
Glancing up, she sees Karen step by the bedroom door that has remained wide open, her only condition for the two of them to retreat upstairs for enough quiet to actually concentrate over the sound of The Allman Brothers
His mom offers her a closed-lip smile and a thumbs up before disappearing, Coley holding back a snicker while Jake hadn’t even noticed the silent exchange.
“What is it?” He asks her, realizing something else had taken her attention away from the task at hand.
“I think your mom thinks I’m gonna kill you.” She voices it to him before she can stop herself.
He looks at the open door and lets out a chuckle, knowing the only reason his mother’s lingering every one in a while is solely explained by the paranoia of them being hormonal, curious preteens.
Neither of them are that bold, anyway, keeping on opposite sides of his twin bed—leaving plenty of room for Jesus and all twelve of his disciples.
Before they can start once again, they’re interrupted by the abrupt clattering of Josh running up the stairs and into the room, momentarily halting when he sees the girl.
“Hey.” Coley greets his twin, offering a smile, and Josh looks at her then his brother, replying, “Hey.”
“Josh, this is Coley.” Jake tells him as if he hadn’t threatened him an hour prior about what he’d do to him if his brother embarrassed him in front of her. “Coley, this is Josh.”
Josh does just as Jake did, holding his hand out to her, saying, “It’s nice to meet you, Coley.”
She takes his hand briefly, offering up a polite, “You, too, Josh.”
He’s snapping around to dig through his chest of drawers, boroughing for a moment, tossing stray items onto his bed before finally looking at Jake.
“Have you seen my matches?”
“No? Mom probably took them because she’s tired of you almost setting the yard on fire.” Jake tells him, Coley sitting silently when Josh flips his middle finger up at him.
“He makes movies about blowing shit up.” Jake explains to her, her face lighting up as she says, “Really?”
“I’ll let you start the fire if I can find my matches because our lighter is out of fluid.” Josh tells her, opening another drawer.
Jake only glares at him because of his offer, and she takes the opportunity to clear her throat and start to stand.
“Where’s the bathroom?” She asks Jake quietly, a smug grin pulling at Josh’s lips as he watches his stony-faced brother melt when he looks up at her.
“Last door on the left.” He points down the hall and she nods, his hands immediately reaching out to gently take the guitar from her.
When she’s out of earshot, Josh chuckles.
“C.J. Payne,” He starts, raising his brows as he plunders through his own things.
“Shut up.” Jake rolls his eyes, already knowing where Josh is going to go with his incoming spiel.
“You’ve not only gotten her to acknowledge your existence, but you’ve gotten her to hang out with you in her spare time. You're gonna be a God in the eyes of your insufferable gaggle of soccer jocks.” Josh comments with a scoff, adding, “She’s up there with Lily Herndon.”
“Just don’t be weird about it, Josh.” He pleads despite feeling a bit of pride go through him from Josh’s words.
A genuine curiosity about Josh’s current cinema endeavor picks at him, next, and he’s asking, “What’s this one about?” in an attempt to change the subject.
His brother knows as much, but indulges him anyway…
JOSH: I know it’s difficult to believe that I may be a bit theatrical at times, having a taste for the dramatic, but my devotion first lied with Cinephilia.
I adored film-making, editing, acting, directing (especially directing because I get to tell people what to do), and of course writing.
Everyone would see me singing in the band and assume that’s what I’ve always wanted to do with my life—that my dream equated to screaming fans, the flash of breasts, and touring the world.
Storytelling has always been my love language. I could bear being a singer for Jake’s sake once I realized I could tell stories just as easily through music, but my own dream was made with a camera, and it comes true with each completed project.
It’s been that way since I was old enough to grasp the basic principles of a story.
Of course, my earliest projects weren’t complete until some kind of explosion was captured that elevated dad’s blood pressure and worried my mother into a tizzy.
When Coley returns to the room, Jake’s also in search of matches, a buzz running through the air as they do so.
“We’ll get back to it in just a second, Coley,” Jake promises her, not bothering to look up because he can’t get sidetracked in the quest to accomplish the poetic ending Josh has planned for his film.
“Still can’t find them?” She’s asking, raising her brows, and they shake their heads. “Well…do either of your parents smoke?”
“Um…dad has a pipe and some cigars—why?” Jake asks, closing the middle drawer of Josh’s dresser, pulling the next one open.
“We can light one with the stove and just use that to start the fire.” She suggests, and the twins stop and look at one another. “Me, Sherri, and her boyfriend, Trace, do it with his mom’s cigarettes to light bottle rockets.” Coley adds.
Neither of them say a word to her momentarily, but have their own silent bout of communication, smiles slowly creeping to the boys’ faces.
Within moments, Jake is sneaking into his parent’s room to snag a cigar from the box on their bureau, Coley being the lookout while Josh eases downstairs, casually, as the smell of hamburger helper wafts through the air.
“What’s up?” Karen inquires to her oldest, stirring the stove-top meal, while Sam sits at the kitchen table and doodles, and Veronica looks over her homework.
“Oh, nothing.” Josh shrugs, sitting at the table with a shrug as he eyes his two younger siblings.
Ronnie cuts her eyes at him as he suspiciously smiles at her, offering a polite, “Hey, sis—”
“—What do you want?” She cuts through the crap, not having time to bustle back and forth with him.
He merely scrunches his face up and scoffs out, “I can’t just talk to my sister?”
“I’m not your sister, remember? Mom and dad picked me up from a drop-box at the fire-station.” Ronnie reminds him of what he and Jake have always told her in jest, and he rolls his eyes. “I’m not doing any chores for you.” She quietly states, next.
“I don’t want you to do my chores.” He tells her, glancing at their mother who has her back to them...
Upstairs, Jake’s having a harder time locating the cigars than he expected, the box on the bureau empty—but he knows his father always has more than one box stored somewhere.
He’s quick to step to his parents closet, opening the door and looking up at the top shelf.
“Hey, mom?” Veronica asks with a roll of her eyes, Karen humming out a, “Huh?” while her daughter glares at Josh.
He nudges Ronnie’s foot with his own and she begrudgingly continues, “Can we talk?”
“Talk about what?” Her mother inquires.
His brows raise as he stares at his sister, Sammy glancing between the two of them after finally looking up from his drawings.
“‘The woes of puberty’,” Josh mouths to her and she sighs out, “Puberty, mom.”
His foot once again bumps into hers, and she adds, “And the woes.”
Sam wrinkles his nose and silently judges his siblings’ back and forth.
SAM: Ah, man, my brothers were always the stars of the show growing up—me and Ronnie just tried to be out of the way when mom and dad had to inevitably go put out whatever fire—sometimes figurative, sometimes literal—Josh and Jake had sparked up.
Mom’s always said that Josh makes things happen, while Jake does things—it’s been that way since they could communicate with one another, and only got worse when Coley started coming around.
I think my parents were hoping she’d provide a voice of reason to calm their thirst for chaos and dissatisfaction with stagnation, instead, she encouraged and cheered on their dumbassery.
But I can’t talk too much shit, I was right there with them.
I kept to myself more times than not until high school, but if my brothers invited me on whatever adventure their warped minds came up with to embark on, I’d tag along. Always.
Karen looks at her and raises her brows, clearing her throat at Veronica’s words as she curiously dreads what the conversation may entail.
“Can you give me, like, two more minutes?” Her mother asks her, Josh jumping in to chipperly offer, “I can finish up for you, Ma.”
Meanwhile, Jake’s staring at the fresh box of cigars, caught between not stealing from his father and potentially not seeing tomorrow, and having fun with the girl out in the hallway.
Coley darts into the bedroom when Karen and Ronnie start up the stairs, the blonde whispering out a sharp, “Your mom!”
He’s plucking a cigar from the box, replacing it swiftly, and dragging her into his parents bathroom—the two of them jumping into the shower to hide.
They listen as Karen and Veronica step by his parents bedroom, his mom mumbling, “You know you can talk to me anytime, kid, I know you’ve been going through some stuff lately…” Before Veronica’s subtly knocking twice on her bedroom door as she closes it behind her and their mom—signaling to Jake that the coast is clear.
“Okay, let’s go,” He wastes no time, the two of them flying down the stairs quietly as Josh has removed the hamburger helper and turns the stove top up to the hottest temp.
“Ronnie’s getting us at least three workable minutes.” He assures them.
“What’re you idiots doing now?” Sam asks.
“Don’t tell mom and we’ll let you come with us.” Josh tells him as Jake says, “You gotta cut it. Dad always clips it,” to Coley.
“Clip it? With what?” She frantically looks around.
“Here,” Josh hands her a knife to slice at it, as messy as it is before the three of them look at one another.
“Who’s puffing it?” She asks them.
“I’m not puffing it.” Josh retorts.
“Mom’s gonna be here any second.” Jake throws in.
“It was your idea, Sister Golden Hair.” Josh elbows her gently.
“It’s your movie.” She argues with him.
“I’ll do it.” Jake grabs at the cigar, raising his brows when Coley pulls it away from him.
She grabs a fistful of her hair in one hand to hold it back, while she leans down—wincing from the heat radiating off the burner—touching the end of the cigar to the stove, and puffing at the cigar in a much quicker, shittier way than what they’ve witnessed their father light up, but it works decent enough.
The taste is rancid and the smoke smells as putrid as it tastes, plumes of it spilling from her mouth as Josh hurriedly says, “Puff, puff, puff,” her shoulders in his hands while he rushes her to the back door where his massive pile of cardboard and wooden set pieces he’s constructed are stacked up in the backyard and already doused in lighter fluid.
Grabbing his camera he put in the chair his father typically sits in to have a smoke and drink a beer whilst they do yard work, he leads her to the spot he needs the fire to start while her head begins to spin from the quick intake of cigar smoke.
“I put a shit ton right there,” Josh points to a splintered slat of wood soaked in lighter fluid, and the end of the cigar glows red before she’s touching it to the wood.
Veronica tries her hardest to keep carrying on and on about fictitious drama at school, over-exaggerated swings in bodily changes, and anything else that opens a new can of worms and invites her mother to share her own experiences in coming of age—anything to buy time for her brothers downstairs.
All her effort is in vain, however, when her mother suddenly stops her rambling, eyes going wide before she’s scrambling to the window to see a blanket of smoke covering the air outside.
The massive pile of flammable objects that Josh has been pestering her and Kelly to burn for him in order to finish the last piece of his movie he’s been working on—the pile that inspired his parents to hide anything capable of producing a flame from him and his brother—is engulfed in flames.
Coley’s vomiting, Jake’s holding her hair back, Sam is yelling at his brothers and Josh is filming whilst dramatically narrating.
Karen snaps her attention to her daughter, who looks at her guiltily.
COLEY: Josh failed to mention to any of us that he had put a couple bottles of rubbing alcohol in that damn pile of junk he wanted to burn so bad.
JAKE: I didn’t notice that…I was too busy focused on Coley once the cigar sickness hit her.
SAM: A couple neighbors that lived within a mile of us kept calling mom to ensure our house wasn’t on fire.
JOSH: It wasn’t easy to sacrifice the sanity of my mother for art’s sake but it was something that, unfortunately, had to be done.
However, the incessant screeching of my name that can be heard in the background of the ending of that film—that I slaved over for hours—was an unnecessary additive that could have waited until after I got the shot that I needed.
The three pre-teens can still hear the curdling, “JOSHUA!” that Karen had let out upon realizing what her son had orchestrated—even over the sound of Tammy tearing into them once Karen gives it a rest momentarily.
The two mothers have taken turns berating them for their stupidity while Josh, Jake, and Coley all sit on the couch, the latter holding a damp cloth to her forehead as she pays the consequence of wasting a good cigar far too quickly.
They all listen—partially, at least.
Jake is too focused trying to look at Coley from the corner of his eye at times, fighting back a smile at the fact she’s sitting so close to him despite her angry mom looming over them.
When Tammy tires out, Karen starts again, and by the time Karen takes her breath, Tammy catches her second wind.
“…What the hell is wrong with you?!” Tammy now glares at her daughter. “Karen and Kelly were generous enough to let you come over—Kelly lent you a guitar and Karen was cooking for you and this is how you repay them?! Stealing from Kelly and committing arson in their yard?! You could’ve been seriously hurt if something had gone wrong!”
“It wasn’t her fault, Mrs. Payne.” Jake takes a surprising stance, speaking up to defend her.
Coley and Josh both look at him, his brother more-so out of curiosity to see what lie he’s about to pull from his ass.
“It was my idea to use one of dad’s cigars, and I’m the one who got it.” The partial lie is believable enough when he confesses it so easily.
“I appreciate your honesty, Jake, but Coley knows better. And she should have tried to talk better sense into the both of you, instead of running along with it.” Tammy tells him, once more settling her glare on her daughter.
“Your dad’s gonna be thrilled when he finds out that Tammy and Cole trusted us with their daughter and it ended with you two inviting her to damn-near obliterate the back yard with you.” Karen says, next.
Josh bites into his tongue to keep from respectfully interjecting that they didn’t destroy the yard, and no damage was done—deciding he’s not yet ready to die.
“Not to mention getting Ronnie and Sammy involved! I mean, you two sneaking around behind our backs isn’t enough?! You gotta get them in it, too?!” She continues, at a loss of words. “Now it’s coercion, theft, and arson, what the hell are you gonna be doing once you turn sixteen?! Absolutely nothing.” Karen laughs out. “You two are so beyond grounded it’s not even fathomable.”
“Mom—”
“No!” She exclaims, further enraged. “You owe Coley, and Tammy, and apology.” She adds to her boys, raising her brows.
“Coley participated in potential conflagration in your backyard after smoking one of your husband’s cigars. She should be apologizing.” Tammy assures Karen.
None of them answer, wanting nothing more than to melt into the couch and hide from the wrath of their mothers.
“We’re waiting.” Karen snaps to them, crossing her arms.
“I’m sorry,” Josh and Jake mumble to Coley’s mother, while Coley simultaneously looks at Karen and says, “I’m sorry.”
The two women finally exhale, catching their breath as they look at one another and sit down across from their children, calming once they get seated.
“We want you guys to get along and be friends, but come on.” Karen starts.
“You’ve gotten along a little too good.” Tammy chirps, rubbing her forehead while Karen adds, “And if one of you can’t use some critical thinking in the future we can’t let you hangout anymore. You cannot pull anything like this again, do you understand me?”
The three of them exchange glances.
Now that the boys know that Coley contributes to any fun ideas they have, and Coley knows that they don’t take much of anything too seriously, whether they’ll get into stupidity in the name of having a good time in the future is a no-brainer.
They’ll just have to get smarter at ensuring they won’t be found out.
“Yes.” They all say collectively, accepting their defeat—only momentarily.

Millie Winchester- Season 1
Devil's Trap- 3
Bobby was walking Sam and Dean out, while Millie was hanging back with Mateo.
"You better hurry up and beat it before the paramedics get here." Bobby warned them.
"What are you going to tell them?" Dean asked.
"You think you guys invented lying to the cops? I'll figure something out." Bobby assured them. The three looked back at the two lovebirds, who shared a quick kiss before joining the group. Bobby handed Millie the book she was reading before. "Here take this. You might need it."
"Thanks." Millie smiled briefly, kissing his bearded cheek.
"Thanks... for everything." Dean added. "Be careful, alright? Both of you."
"You just go find your Dad. And when you do, you bring him around, would you? I won't even try to shoot him this time." Bobby promised, as they shared a chuckle.
"Stay safe." Mateo told them, looking specifically at Millie, who nodded with a reassuring smile.
***************
The Impala was parked by some train tracks in Jefferson City, Missouri. Millie and Sam were looking through the Key of Solomon book on the roof of the car, while Dean was near the trunk, loading the guns and putting them in his duffel.
"You've been quiet." Sam noted.
"Just getting ready." Dean replied.
"He's gonna be fine, Dean." Millie reassured him. Dean didn't say anything else.
Millie flipped to another page, and noticed the symbol from the trap that Mateo had drawn. She pointed it out to Sam, who grabbed the book and moved to the open trunk lid. He rubbed the dirt off of it and began drawing the symbols on it.
"Dude, what are you drawing on my car?" Dean asked, annoyed.
"It's called a Devil's trap. Demons can't get through it or inside it." Millie explained, but she was unsure why Sam was drawing it on the car.
"So?"
"It basically turns the trunk into a lockbox." Sam told him.
"So?" Millie asked, confused about the why.
"So we have a place to hide the Colt while we go get Dad."
"What are you talking about? We're bringing the Colt with us." Dean argued. Millie eyed the both of them nervously. They were like an unstoppable force meets an immovable object.
"We can't, Dean. We've only got three bullets left. We can't just use them on any demon. We've got to use them on the demon."
"No, we have to save Dad, Sam, okay? We're gonna need all the help we can get."
"Dean, you know how pissed Dad would be if we used all the bullets? Dean, he wouldn't want us to bring the gun."
"I don't care, Sam!" Dean barked. "I don't care what Dad wants, okay? And since when do you care what Dad wants? Millie, back me up."
"Sam, he has a point. We can't go into this with revenge being at the front of our minds. What we want is to make sure Dad is safe." Millie tried to explain.
"We want to kill this demon." Sam snapped. "You two used to want that, too. Hell, I mean, you're the ones who came and got me at school! You're the ones who dragged me back into this. I'm just trying to finish it."
Dean scoffed with a sardonic smile. "Well, you and Dad are a lot more alike than I thought, you know that? You both can't wait to sacrifice yourself for this thing. But you know what? Millie and I are gonna be the ones to bury you. You're selfish, you know that? You don't care about anything but revenge."
"That's not true, Dean." Sam argued. Dean scoffed, while Millie looked at him doubtfully. "I want Dad back. But they are expecting us to bring this gun. They get the gun, they will kill us all. That Colt is our only leverage and you guys know it. We cannot bring that gun. We can't."
"Fine." Millie conceded, knowing there was truth to what Sam was saying, despite also knowing that revenge was still on his mind.
"I'm serious, Millie."
"I said 'fine,' Sam." Millie snapped, not wanting any more arguments while their Dad's life was on the line. Dean looked at her in disbelief, but Millie gave him her pleading eyes. Dean sighed and took the Colt out of his jacket pocket, showing it to his siblings and placing it in the trunk.
***************
The Winchesters made their way past the river. As they walked past some trees, Dean paused when he noticed something in the distance.
"Hey, hey. I think I know what Meg meant by 'sunrise'." Sam and Millie turned to what Dean was looking at and noticed an apartment building with a sign saying 'Sunrise Apartments'. "Son of a bitch. That's pretty smart. If these demons can possess people, they can possess almost anybody inside."
"Yeah, and make anybody attack us." Sam added.
"And so we can't kill them- a building full of human shields."
"They probably know exactly what we look like, too." Millie realised. "And they could look like anybody."
"Yeah, this sucks out loud." Dean sighed.
"Tell me about it. All right, so, how the hell are we gonna get in?" Sam asked.
Dean glanced at the building, when an idea hit him. "Pull the fire alarm, get out all the civilians."
"Okay, but then the city responds in, what, seven minutes?" Millie said.
"Seven minutes, exactly."
***************
Sam walked into the building through the front door. He moved closer to the fire alarm on the wall, when he noticed a man coming down the hallway. Sam made his way to the stairs, pretending to go up them until the man walked out the door. As soon as the coast was clear, Sam quickly went up to the fire alarm and pulled it.
In one of the apartments, a man and woman were sat at a table and looked up emotionlessly as the alarm sounded through the building. The man got up from the table and moved to the bedroom door. He opened it, revealing John, alive but tied to the bed.
Outside of the building, the residents were leaving while the firefighters raced into the building. Dean came up to one of the firefighters.
"Hey, what's happening? Is it a fire?"
"We're figuring that out right now, sir. Just stay back." The fireman told him, moving Dean away from the truck. What he didn't notice was Millie sneaking behind the truck. She found a compartment and began to pick the lock.
"Well, I've got a Yorkie upstairs, and he pees when he's nervous."
"Sir, you have to stay back."
***************
Sam, Millie and Dean walked down the hallway, dressed in full firefighter gear, with helmets and breathing apparatuses to cover their faces. Dean used his EMF to check the doors of the apartments for any sign of the demons.
"I always wanted to be a fireman when I grew up." Dean revealed.
"You never told me that." Sam said.
"Why did you think Millie set all those little fires for me to put out when we were little?" Dean asked.
"To be honest, I was just concerned." Sam admitted, just as the EMF started reading high.
The woman was still sat at the table with her head down. A banging on the door made her look up, revealing her black eyes. The woman and man moved to the door to look through the peephole. They saw three firefighters.
"This is the fire department. We need you to evacuate." Dean ordered.
The man stepped to the side and nodded to the woman to open the door. She unlocked and as soon as she opened it, the Winchesters shoved it open. The woman was thrown backwards. The boys sprayed the man with the water from their tanks while Millie did the same to the woman. Their demons screamed as the holy water burned their skin. Dean threw a punch at the man's face, knocking him into Sam, who threw him into the closet and shut the door. Millie pulled the screeching woman off of the table and tackled her into the closet, while Sam sprayed the male demon with holy water allowing Millie to quickly back out of it as she and Dean leant against the closet door.
"Hurry up!" Dean ordered, while the demons banged on the door, trying to escape. Sam grabbed a canister of salt from the duffel and ran a line of it around the closet door. As soon as he was done, the pounding on the door stopped. The Winchesters took off their firefighter gear and went to the bedroom door. They slowly opened it and saw their Dad tied to the bed, bloody and unconscious.
"Dad." Dean breathed out, rushing to his Dad's side, while Sam and Millie watched, frozen. Dean leant down to his Dad's side. "He's still breathing. Dad, wake up. Dad!"
Dean grabbed his knife from his pocket to cut the restraints around John's wrists.
"Wait. Wait." Sam told him.
"What?"
"He could be possessed for all we know."
"What, are you nuts?"
"Dean, we got to be sure." Millie agreed, taking out a flask of holy water. She began sprinkling it onto John, but their was no sizzling or screams of pain. John moaned as he started to come to.
"Millie? Why are you splashing water on me?" John asked, making Millie chuckle in relief.
"Dad, are you okay?" Dean asked.
"They've been drugging me." John slurred. "Where's the Colt?"
"Don't worry, Dad, it's safe." Sam assured him, as Dean cut him free.
"Good boys. Good girl."
Outside, the firefighters were exiting the building. A crowd was watching what was happening and amongst them was a man. He looked around, then his mouth fell open in surprise before his eyes went completely black as a demon possessed him. He moved through the crowd and towards the building. A fireman tried to stop him.
"Hey, buddy, you can't go in." The fireman suddenly gasped, allowing the man to go past him. The fireman turned, revealing his black eyes, as he followed the man into the building.
Sam and Dean had John's arms around their shoulders, while Millie was carrying their duffels. They came out of the bedroom when the front door burst open, revealing the possessed man and firefighter.
"Go! Go!" Sam gasped.
"Come on. Back! Back!" Dean ordered, as they all rushed back into the bedroom and locked the door, but an axe crashed through the door.

1) Scenario: Due to some time travel shenanigans, Robin!Dick travels forward in time and he runs into Mar’i and Jake while they were on a case together. How do you think it goes from there?
2) Who are Chris, Jon and Jake’s favorite anime characters?
3) Can you see Chris and Jai challenging each other to a race and like Barry Allen, Jai holding back his true speed extensively?
4) Is Zod Chris’ Archnemesis in Earth 66?
5) the following you may ignore if it makes you uncomfortable;
On a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being the highest,
How sensitive to tickle attacks are Mar’i, Chris, Jon and Jake?
Good questions! (1 & 4 is gonna be long XD)
Before I answer #1 I want to do some background info: After Time Commander (Super-Sons villain) got humiliated & jailed by Jake, Mar’i & Nightwing (mar’i burned his outfit leaving him naked & Jake gave him a wedgie). He busted out after a week & went back in time to make sure the kids weren’t born by killing Nightwing. (Note: Nightwing & Starfire went on a honeymoon, so it’s just Jake & mar’i by themselves for a few days). Time Commander (John Starr) found a newly trained Robin roaming the streets for a test for Batman. But the kid was tougher than he looks, Starr had a sore jaw & a sore crotch & both fell into a portal going back to the future & he ran away to rethink strategy. Robin (Dick Grayson) tried to find him but instead found two twins fighting a group of thugs.
1: Mar’i & Jake were trying to solve the mysterious case of the Tally Mark Slasher (hint hint 😉) (also Jake was wearing a Robin outfit for the giggles) when they met Robin & realize that he was their dad when he was their age & tried their best not to mess up the timeline. So the three of them decided to help each other’s problems & send Robin back to the past. (Without revealing too much info about themselves) After a few hours kicking butt & interrogation thugs, they managed to find the killer himself, frozen in time: Victor Zsasz, & Time Commander himself stealing money (cause reasons XD) the three of them mange to stop Time Commander & put him in handcuffs for the cops. Before Robin leaves back to his time, he has something to ask:
Robin (Dick Grayson): How important is me being Robin?
Jake: really important! hundreds of sidekicks wouldn’t exist without your influence, & all thanks to you, we are able to live because of you, you gave everybody hope! You’re the heart of sidekicks.
Mar’i: yeah, what he said.
The three hugged before Robin goes back to the past…….Victor Zasasz was freed from time freeze & was in handcuffs, confused on why his pants were around his ankles, underwear pulled up from his butthole, & some childish drawings were on him; especially a Robin symbol on his chest. (*wipes sweats on forehead* darn I need a break XD)
2: Chris: Gohan, future trunks, gogeta, broly (dbz), Tokoyami, deku, shoto, Ochaco ( my hero academia), Obito, naruto, Kakashi, mintato, sasuke (Naruto)
Jon: Goku, (canon) goten, gotenks, gogeta, future trunks, hit. (DB) naruto (canon) sasuke, itachi, rock Lee (naruto) izuku, bakugo, all-might, shoto, (MHA) Luffy, ace, sabo, zoro, & chopper (one piece).
Jake: goku, gohan, vegito, cabba, broly. (Dbz) naruto, itachi, pain, (naruto) izuku, dabi, twice, all-might (MHA) luffy, sanji, chopper (One Piece).
3: yup XD & when Jai decided to use his speed full power he decides to taunt Chris either: pulling down his lower eyelid & sticks tongue out, gives the middle finger(s), show his bare butt & spanks it (maybe kisses his hand first) or saying meep meep! & speeds off leaving Chris in the dust.
4: yes, but as a one off villain, let me explain: I do like the idea of zod escaping from the Phantom Zone years later instead of a few days (great idea bud) but instead of joining zod because of his “background,” Chris was a sleeper agent (in my universe).
When space pirate Amalak (from new earth’s Superman comics) invades earth (when Chris was 12) to hunt down Kryptonians, he accidentally triggers Chris’s “sleeper agent code”: zod. (By telling Chris he looks just like him) days later, at night, Chris sneaks off to the fortress of solitude & frees zod & 30 other kryptonian criminals from the zone, kneeling to them.
The next day, zod & the criminals did an invasion in Metropolis. (As seen in the Last Son book) the superfamily (Clark, Kara, Karen, Kon, Jon 11, & krypto)the justice league, Young Titans, & the special police force with kryptonite weapons defends the city; The only kryptonians left were zod & Chris (Some were taken down non-lethally & the rest killed). After seeing NightStar gets trapped by broken buildings, Chris breaks free from his programming, & unleashed a power nobody ever seen before: Dark Phantom mode.
(In my universe, after a beaten by his dad, Chris was thrown outside the prison where he was born, slowly dying from the pain, when suddenly, a mystical blue dragon called NightWing (who created the zone in my universe; a myth) appeared out of nowhere & went into his body as pure energy to heal him & gave him unique abilities that needed to be unlocked somehow.)
Chris (in the present) with Superman, fought Zod (a less brutal version of the invincible vs conquest fight) & snaps zod’s neck (like man of steel) using his darkness powers to save Superman from being killed. Chris screamed in pain & sadness, being comforted by his “dad” Superman. A fe days later, Superman takes Chris in outer space saying you belong here, you belong. Then, they went back down to earth to their home in Hamilton county & did a big group hug with his “family.”
5: since they’re kids, probably between 8-10; on the feet, stomach, rib cage, & on the thighs when grabbed.
Whew! That took a while. Let me know if you got more questions buddy! :D

(Fanfic that I really like by @kitsunefyuu )(strongly recommend)
Something about this mental image of AFO dressing izuku in fancy clothes, like very dear doll, just stuck with me. And I felt like drawing a few of the more feminine outfits since every one of them has some kind of meaning to the story.
The first more feminine outfit was the one izuku chose specifically when he tried to convince his father to let him go to UA.
"Dad, I want to go back to a real school and make actual friends," Izuku spoke bluntly. Trying his damn hardest to keep himself calm as he asks, and had even prepared himself with his dads favorite outfit. It was a traditional green Hanfu dress with flowers. More than aware it is for women, but it isn't as if it matters in a home where the only company he's allowed is his father.
Absolutely creepy, but in sweet way. As he doesn't care about what he supposed to be wearing and enjoys everything, but at the same time trying to persuade his father to what he wants with it.

The second outfit I drew was the black dress he wore when he accidentally met his childhood friend. And it escalated quickly to the worst
Maybe Izuku was desperate for some kind of recognition. To gather a fraction of the past that his father took him away from after all these years. That he dug far back to that nickname he hated even if didn’t want to say that name as Kacchan was about to leave, “How about Deku?”
Now that seemed to trigger something and a curiously amused expression showed on Bakugou’s face. The recognition sparked in his eyes as a loud hum escaped him.
“Oh yeah! Deku must explain why you look like a weird doll,” Katsuki said with amusement.
Izuku felt a stab in his chest at the other words.
This happened right after izuku ran away from his dinner with his father. Naturally he was wearing a dress. I can't find the exact quote but I remember it being described as dress with a ribbon. Maybe it was just my imagination, but izuku wearing a dress and looks like a doll, Plus kachan recognizing him by his old nickname just felt very symbolic. Like Deku will never be more than just a doll for others.

The last image, and the one I liked the most was izuku wearing his school uniform.
"Dad! Can you grab me my uniform!?"
(...)
Izuku doesn't even check what the man brought feeling pretty good right now. Though clearly, he was going to end up late so he just throws it on.
(...)
"Sorry he's just- Well he's excited I have a friend," Izuku noted only to realize Shoto was looking at him up and down. "What? Is something wrong?" Ugh, did he not put on enough makeup? Did he put the uniform on and mess up his hair? Izuku felt nervous at his friend's suddenly very critical gaze wondering if he needs to run back home to fix up-
"You look nice,"
(...)
Though when he arrived at the school Izuku felt like he was getting a LOT more looks than normal. To the point if he was honest he kind of felt almost anxious about it as while attention can be nice it felt more like they were weirded out. Wondering why that is the case, he worked hard on his appearance! Even Shoto said he looked nice, did he miss something? "Hey do I look weird?" Izuku questioned wondering why people were staring knowing his friend would be honest. Shoto glanced around a bit then back at him in confusion before a light bulb seemed to register. Those eyes light up as he finally decides to answer the question.
"Probably because you're wearing the girl uniform?" Shoto questioned. As if he hadn't just revealed the most horrifying thing Izuku could have done. The innocent way his best friend didn't even think to point out the uniform was for a girl.
The betrayal izuku felt. For his father it was simply a joke. For izuku it was world shattering. How he took izuku's trust and played with it.
Shoto, with his pure heart didn't question it.
I reason chose to give izuku white hair even when he supposed to still have his green is because he's under his father's manipulation. From the moment his mother died his father was everything to him and he was everything for hisashi.
And still, he plays with izuku's life like he's some kind of doll. Just because he doesn't see a problem with it. But for izuku it affects everything.

Circlet of the Sun pt. 2
(part 1) (part 3)
There's more ranting and then another repetition of the same thing we've heard over and over. Harmonitor says that it must not have been clear enough or must not have been sending the right signals, because why would Sir Press be doing the exact opposite otherwise? It's not your fault, it must be something with me! That must be it! I don't know if Glip realizes how many times they say this or how passive-aggressive it is.
Sila says that they didn't hear Harmonitor and that if they try to disengage then they'll freak out and kill themselves and it'll be all your fault. Right after, Harmonitor says that Sila never actually said any of those things, they're just what Harmonitor inferred from her behavior.
an implicit threat
Harmonitor dissociates which seems to be the solution to everything in this comic. There's a bunch more vague-ing about Discord drama, including a reference to a character named Ciero. Apparently Ciero and another character acted out what Sila was doing wrong in an RP or something, while Glip yells THIS IS YOU, THIS IS YOU, IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT THEN MAYBE YOU SHOULDN'T SILENCE ME. Sila and Glip have a stilted conversation and Sila tells Glip to stop vagueposting about her lol.
vaguepost, me??
Glip protests, asking why Sila thinks it was vagueposting and what they were vagueposting about. Sila responds saying that Glip said that she was playing the victim and didn't know it. In response to this Glip/Harmonitor seems to have a panic attack about how they can never write or draw again, and then explains that they made Harmonitor to symbolize that they're only here to help.
Glip posts some more snippets from the conversation, apparently unaware that it doesn't make them look good.
why did you make a little play with characters about your feelings instead of talking to me directly about them
Glip doesn't answer because all of Sila's questions feel like traps and Sila doesn't listen to their answers anyway. Sila says that they saw feelings that Glip had kept hidden from them in the play and felt bad about it, particularly because they had asked Sila to open up to them. Glip says that they (drumroll) forget, and asks if they always kept their feelings hidden from Sila.
Sir Press, now with ANOTHER new name, Selfish-Harm (Get it) doesn't respond as Glip says that she never wants to hear criticism from nobody, and if they told Selfish-Harm their feelings then Selfish-Harm would just flip out and hurt someone. Glip explains that the name Selfish-Harm means that they hurt themselves and then blame others for it, just in case you couldn't catch that.
There's a bunch more yelling and rambling, with Glip at one point comparing Selfish-Harm to their abusive dad and one time that he flipped out and punched them and threatened to kill their mom and himself. Apparently they tried to tell Selfish-Harm this at some point but she didn't see the resemblance. She apologizes for triggering that memory but says she didn't need to remember it, so they're even and she implores Glip not to be mad anymore or they'll stay in the memory forever. In the end Selfish-Harm lets Harmonitor go.
Harmonitor/Glip starts to head off for rest and Selfish-Harm stops them to say one more thing. "I should get off the stage right now. I have a hard time saying 'no' to you because I trust you so much." she says.
Harmonitor is taken aback, thinking that if Selfish-Harm didn't want to go on stage then they didn't have to, they could have just talked about it privately. The cleaver shows up all evil and bloody to say what that really means is that if she does anything she doesn't want to do then it's because Glip coerced her, and she'll tell everyone.
so scary
I mentioned scenes up there. My memory of this is fuzzy, but there were these intense sessions on Glip's discord server where people acted out their arguments in front of other people who may or may not have decided who was wrong or right, I forget. You'd have to agree to do a scene with someone else and there were a bunch of weird rules to it, and unsurprisingly it resulted in a lot of drama. When Sila/Glip talks about scenes or stages in this huge thing, that's what they're talking about.
Anyway, the blade comes down on Harmonitor who convulses oh no a Glipsert is being mutilated again by evil people, it's a moebius strip, but Harmonitor does say that they wanted to talk to Selfish-Harm in public on stage because they were scared of her, but didn't tell her that.
really does look like random white and red scribbles now
Anyway, Harmonitor decides that this means that she can never express any feelings around Selfish-Harm ever again about anything and can only do what she wants and has a breakdown. I feel sort of like a parent hearing two children crying about how the other one hurt their feelings. I just want to know what's happening to the actual characters in this comic. Remember when there were gay my little ponies with giant yaoi hands? who could forget.
Selfish-Harm cleaver talks about how they think girls getting caught and punished for being in the wrong place at the wrong time is hot. Also apparently Sila said they thought Glip had some kind of undiagnosed disorder at some point lol.
took it just the way you'd expect
There's more and more and more yelling. Apparently at one point Sila said that although their community was against call-outs they'd been trigger happy with them lately. This made Glip so angry that they made this huge callout. Sure proved them wrong there, huh.
join our community today! this won't happen to you! (maybe)
There's more yelling now with Harmonitor with the screw eye we've seen sometimes on Scissors. Not sure what that signified before now, but in this it seems to signify that Harmonitor is just Glip again but angry. Another layer of nesting dolls.... all Glips....
Speaking of, Hothead screams about how much they hate Sila and how everyone in the discord hates Sila actually and to stop acting like a creep. We abruptly cut to Quill trying to write. He's happy with his work and while it'll NEVER be good as Papaya's obviously, he hopes it's worth gracing her presence and that she might find something she can use in her better plays. Quill's creator writes guest stories for Floraverse. Just bringing that up again, no reason. There's a big long thing with Sir Press riding Quill like a horse (but he goes by Quibble here) that's just more yelling about Sir Press treating everyone bad.
Out of nowhere in the middle of it though, plot shows up again.
like a jumpscare, these returns to the plot
Quibble says that they find the place where the seeds would have been planted and the blood would have been spilled and where something was supposed to grow. But Sir Press told them that kind of thing could hurt someone so it's better that it doesn't exist. But I thought Sir Press liked violence and suffering! Now I don't know what's going on!
It goes right back into angry whining and yelling and this goes on for a while. It's all the same thing we've already heard but that's not going to stop Glip I guess. It goes on and on and on. Euphobia is at a jail cell in Clear Watching, which it describes as the Eternal Labryinth. Glip does seem to get defensive about people not liking Call-Clout which, lol.
paige and cc just had a fun party together before, it's fine
A new character pops up that looks like a bad creepypasta villain named Encore, Pain Whore. But... there's already a character called Encore... a pretty significant character... why are you using the same name for this new one... what are you doing...
encore.exe
Unless this is supposed to be some kind of warped version of Encore but in the process of typing that I realized I don't care. It's just another mouthpiece for Glip anyway. I don't know why Glip comes up with all these different variations of a character when they all just say the same thing. A scribble that might be CC says they know that Sila won't take this seriously or learn from it and that they're not welcome back into their community. So this really is just shouting at an empty chair.
They also threaten to kill Sila if she ever says she cares again, which is nice.
i don't think the odds of that are very high
They say they hate Sila and that they've never known her and can never say that they knew her, and they don't know anyone by her name and she'll never be whole. They then say maybe they should make it a funny violent story so Sila will listen, then says "gosh, anyone hurt by this story must REALLY deserve it". They then say that Sila said that it'd be a funny gag when she died in that script she wrote but it makes them gag! Get it!! Get it!!!
Glip then clarifies that when they said they wanted to kill Sila it was just a gag in a sarcastic way.
are those little bug teeth
There's more and more along the same lines, and since this was supposedly put together by a bunch of people I'd wonder if that's why it repeats so much but I think it's easily as likely that Glip just does this. There's a hilarious bit where Glip points at the screen basically to go YOU, THIS IS YOU like you're trying to threaten your little sibling into doing something.
this is you! [knocks over lamp] don't mess with me!
After some more yelling, Sila comes back this time as a giant foot, saying she has a play for Papaya to put on. Name's Extoenerate, because of course.
referred to as a foot man but this is still sila, so
Extoenerate starts getting off on asking Papaya her opinion. Papaya looks at the scripts and keeps her feelings hidden so she can try to get a read on what Extoenerate is like. It's the same script of Papaya killing someone which she is again horrified by. Stuck in a moebius strip with this, I told you.
Papaya expresses reservations about the script while keeping actual explanations for her feelings to herself. It's okay when she does it though. Extoenerate keeps getting off on the conversation. She asks why Extoe needs her help, and she says she always finishes too fast by herself. Get it.
say my feelings to someone's face? nope
It goes back and forth with the foot suggesting a way for the feet to exposed when she dies. It'll be very hot when the shopkeeper yells at the other person, the foot says, they were inspired by seeing Papaya tell at someone in her shop the other day. The foot gets mad that Papaya is kinkshaming her lol.
what if kinkshaming IS my kink
The foot rants about how unfair it is that Papaya didn't like her script and threatens to kill her. No one understands!! Papaya then says fine, we should put the story on the stage (with site under it get it, ON THE SITE, GET IT) because she wouldn't want to KINKSHAME them. That whole bit at the beginning with the fox coming into the story? That was Sila's script. what a twist.
Glip/Papaya says that Sila walked right into their trap, thinking that they wouldn't say any of this. They then post what I assume is a list of rules you have to agree to to RP in Glip's server which are bonkers. They're in a full apoplectic rage now, I think because Sila implied they also signed the rules? Or maybe it's because Sila signed the rules but is still upset. I'm not sure but boy they're angry.
imagine showing this to someone out of context. wait
Glip then vaguely threatens to choke Sila to death.
just a joke! i promise! (maybe)
There's also some more out of context discord screencaps. Personally, I don't think Glip's server sounds like a fun place to be.
everyone seems really angry there
Two more victims show up who are also actual people in the discord who decided to join in on this fun callout party. They then throw Extoe into an extremely funny panel.
each glip consists of four glips simultaneously
Look at that. Just look at it lololol. Anyway, this is related to another thing if I remember right, although again, my memory of things are hazy. There was a channel on the server I think called Clear Watching, where you could be sent if people wanted to yell at you or if you broke the rules or something. There I think you'd be muted and people could just say whatever to you until you repented and got to leave? Something like that. It was a punitive thing I'm almost sure and selective muting was a part of it.
Anyway, Ash and Zen or maybe Glip or just everyone I guess continues to be mad, forever. They say they wrote a story about how awful Sila is and Sila didn't want to see it and that hurt them real bad. They say Sila didn't want to see it because it didn't have her fetish or fighting in it but I am skeptical. Sila apparently said she didn't want them using her characters in their hate story and this also hurt their feelings because she said they had blanket permission to do whatever with her character when she signed up into this loony bin of a discord.
i tried to respect that you didn't want me to write a hate story about your character but it was really hard
There isn't even any art at this point, it's just caps on white.
hearing this in robocop's voice
There are some more Discord screencaps, along with that same "why would you think that if it wasn't true? I guess i'm just bad and stupid then!" line of logic that shows up everywhere.
guess so!
I guess Sila and Glip talked about Glip making a hateful cameo with them and Sila didn't like that. Glip shouts that it was supposed to hurt them, duh! Idiot!! I wanted to hurt you for hurting me!! But it's okay when I do it.
although, didn't glip say they didn't expect sila to read this? who IS this for then?
Glip has reached full rage meltdown at this point.
you are just mad because you are angry
In the middle of this there's a "maybe it's because violence sucks, and you suck too!" which is kind of hilariously mild compared to the rest of it. Anyway it clarifies that Papaya didn't say any of this out loud because she didn't want to make Sila have some kind of unreasonable meltdown over being told to die because she wrote a bad script. Papaya tries to give Sila concrit on her scripts and it has another hilarious bit with Papaya saying that characters shouldn't just be black and white.
lol
She also says she doesn't think that the flowercat would just enjoy yelling that she's right, which is even funnier considering that this VN is like two hours of them doing just that.
evidence works against you here
Papaya asks why the flowercat wouldn't defend herself, and Sila says that her Mary Sue character has a special ability where she can wipe the memories of people she attacks, and she's able to strike people's worst vulnerabilities in a way that causes the most harm without actually hurting them, whatever that means. Glip says harm without hurt is gaslighting and that Sila is threatening to literally wipe their memories. When I say literally I do mean literally.
don't give me amnesia, internet person
Just gonna toss this little guy in here because I think the face is funny.

I also want to add on the point that a major thing that draws people to Dev is how uncertain he is as a character, anything he does has a massive impact in the show and he is....messed up. He is incredibly messed up as a product (literally) or his environment and its so incredibly CLEAR in the show, every interaction with his dad showcases this just like how OP said, rather than just telling what the relationship is its just SHOWN. It also makes it more fun for the fans in my opinion because when its shown there are often open ended threads, like the numerous clone/dead parent/mutation etc AU's with Dev at the center. Hazel is an amazing character 100% I love her so much but something that always made it hard for me to ponder on her character is because, she just...says she has problems and they get fixed....instantly. There aren't any scenes in the show where she's just left with an unfinished problem other than Dev. Dev is the only thing uncertain in her life, and THATS why their dynamic is interesting. Twitter explodes when he calls her by her real name and that's because its a clear case of their friendship. We know they can get along amazingly, they have the same interests, live close by, and they have a lot of fun together- this is all SHOWN. Every ep they interact you're never entirely sure what to expect especially after the founders day ep. Not to mention that Dev is....alone. I've said this a lot on my other accounts but Dev is such a tragic character that just makes you want to figure him out, he's not a bad or troublesome kid just very hurt. And he doesn't want to cause hurt. Hazel's legit the only thing in his life that he looks forward to and that's shown multiple times, after they cemented their friendship the first time he is shown to make a big effort for her, (All off the top of my head so there could deffo be more moments)
-Him opening up during the hunt and them having fun going around the city taking photos
-The symbolism of him taking off his glasses during the water fountain
-Very happily reassures Hazel about lunch and when she doesn't immediately react he takes notice and asks if she wasn't a fan of sushi
-When she points out how Dev called her "Hazel" He backtracks at first but then just accepts it and they end up laughing about it
-Asking to be apart of the scavenger hunt again and admitting how he wants his dad's approval and he apologizes to her with his heart and the team is back on
-During the scavenger hunt where they're breaking into the school, Hazel is clearly upset on how easy the hunt is and as soon as she huffs her disappointment Dev instantly joins in and helps make it fun again
"We'll have to watch out for the lasers!" "What lasers?" "Trust me, there are always lasers!" (I PUT THE SS'S OUT OF ORDER AND I DON'T HAVE ENOUGH SPACE FOR THE SHENAIGAN PICS </3) -In lost and founders day he's the only one who knows about her love of hats despite only being in her life for maybe 2 weeks at most whereas all the other characters don't
"Hazel! Of course, her well known love of hats!" -He goes around the huge park LOOKING for her so that his dad doesn't find her and ends up putting up a big chase for her safety -At the end of the ep Dev very, VERY clearly is excited to see Hazel but when she brings up the anomaly part and how hurt she was Dev tries to explain but is cut off by her leaving, AND HE'S SAD MAN. THE FACE HE MAKES IS SO PATHETIC AND HELPLESS.
-Not to mention the lock screen
-Even when they're arguing she's till on his mind and due to the way he was raised he thinks that the only way to win someone back is by being able to offer something worthwhile, hence why he's doing all this he thinks this would help restore their friendship.
-Dev believes that relationships in general are a delicate thing
He really misses her and its so obvious
As soon as he's reassured (For probably the first time in his life by a human) He's all on board to help
"We're heroes!" IM RUNNING OUT OF SPACE TO ADD MORE SS SO I'LL ADD ANOTHER REPLY HANG ON
I've been seeing a lot of people talk about how Hazel is a boring protagonist(or I guess more like... people complaining about how other people are saying that? Idk I'm not on Twitter), and at first I kind of agreed with those takes because all I had seen were random clips. BUT, now that I've watched the show, I disagree. I don't think Hazel is a boring character, at least not conceptually. I think the issue is that the majority of her RELATIONSHIPS are really boring.
Hazel on her own has a lot of potential. She's caring, she's funny, she has a tendancy to overthink, her design is really good, she has realistic problems most people can relate to... she's just all around a really well built character. The problem is that almost none of the characters she interacts with consistently have any depth, and that causes her relationships with them to fall flat, which causes HER to fall flat because at the end of the day, a character is only as strong as their relationships with other characters. We're TOLD what her relationships with others are like, we're TOLD what the other characters' personality traits are, but we're never SHOWN those things. I think the episode where they deal with Jasmine's fears is probably the biggest offender. Jasmine herself acts as more of a plot device then anything else, with her fears being used as a stepping stone to teach HAZEL a lesson, rather then allowing the episode to focus on Jasmine overcoming those fears. The scene where Jasmine actually FACES those fears ends up being just thrown in at the end as a way to solve the conflict, which tbh wasn't that engaging in the first place because Hazel had no personal attatchment to any of Jasmine's fears... that's just kind of a bad episode overall tbh it's where all of the shows flaws are the most prominent but I DIGRESS-
Another really good example of the poor relationship building is her relationship with her brother, Antony, who we literally don't even get to SEE until well into the second half of the season. I haven't actually gotten to that episode yet, so I can't really judge Antony as a character, but I CAN judge how they've been setting him up so far! Which hasn't been very good! Instead of SHOWING US Hazel's relationship with him through flashbacks or something, the writers just have Hazel TELL US how she feels about her brother and things they used to do together. It just doesn't have the same impact as actually seeing their relationship play out would, y'know? They've been telling us about Hazel's relationships with other characters instead of showing us those relationships, and it's been hurting Hazel as a character.
The only relationships she has that we actually get to watch her BUILD are her relationship with Cosmo & Wanda and her relationship with Dev, which, while the ladder is genuinely really well done and interesting(aside from a couple pacing issues but honestly the show is chock full of those so whatever), the former ALSO falls really flat because Cosmo & Wanda aren't really... characters. They're iconic, sure, and they're really funny, but they're also mostly just plot devices. They're here to grant Hazel's wishes(aka cause the plot of the episode) and be funny. That's it. Which is fine, those kinds of characters obviously have their place, but when they're the only ones your main character consistently interacts with? That causes some problems. It's like if, in the movie Aladdin, instead of focusing mostly on the relationship between Aladdin and Jasmine, they focused entirely on his relationship with the Genie. The Genie is mostly just here to move the plot along and say funny things, so having him be the character Aladdin interacts with the MOST kind of breaks the movie. Having a story where almost all the interactions are between the main character and the comic relief just doesn't work.
Honestly I think the issues with Hazel's relationships are probably why people are more drawn to Dev as a character then they are to Hazel, because while Hazel almost exclusively interacts with characters who could be replaced by cardboard cutouts and nobody would tell the difference, Dev doesn't. Dev's relationships are a lot more engaging because all of the characters he interacts with are SIGNIFICANTLY more fleshed out then the ones Hazel interacts with. His relationship with Hazel is engaging because it's an emotional rollercoaster for both of them. His relationship with Peri is interesting because Peri is much newer to being a fairy godparent then Cosmo & Wanda are, meaning he's more likely to make mistakes. His relationship with his dad is interesting because it's literally the main motivation for his character, and we actually get to SEE WHY THEIR RELATIONSHIP IS THE WAY IT IS. His relationship with Irep is more interesting because Irep is a weird little shit who's mostly just using Dev to take over fairyworld, and he also has an interesting dynamic with Peri! Dev's relationships are all WAY better executed then Hazel's, and honestly I think a lot of that has to do with the fact that Dev is an antagonist who mostly interacts with other antagonists. He's at the center of almost every single ongoing conflict in the show, which is often times what makes a character and their relationships interesting: conflict. I also think he benefits from getting expanded on LATER in the show, since by that point all of the writers would've had a much better feel for all of the characters, making it easier for them to actually show what his relationships are like instead of outright telling us skgnvkdmfkekfndn
Now, was the point of all this to say that I think Dev would be a better protagonist then Hazel? No. Absolutely not no- he has a more interesting, better executed story then Hazel does so far, sure, but he just. Wouldn't be able to carry an episodic show like FOP on his own I'm sorry- we've seen the kind of wishes he makes, they're not particularly interesting. Because he's a rich kid who can do basically whatever he wants. Plus, his conflict with Peri just isn't really built to be stretched out over an entire season, which it would HAVE to be if Dev was the protagonist of a Fairly Oddparents, because the entire premise of the show is "this kid gets a Fairy Godparent, what kind of wacky hijinks will they get up to now?" Plus there's the fact that the narrative has been treating his parental neglect with a lot more gravity then Timmy's ever was, meaning if the show was from his perspective they'd have to tone down the things that make him interesting to keep the show from getting outright miserable- Dev is not a good character to make carry that kind of show. Dev should not be the main character. HOWEVER! Do I think the show would be more interesting if we got more episodes featuring him and Hazel hanging out together? Yes absolutely. They bounce off of eachother incredibly well, and once Peri is introduced we also get to see Peri's relationship with his parents and how THEY interact, and it's just. So much more interesting then seeing just Hazel and CosWan. Or Hazel's cardboard cutout friends. Honestly I'd go as far as to say he should've been Hazel's dueteragonist instead of just a recurring character, kinda like a(hopefully) better executed Chloe. It'd give Hazel a more interesting character to bounce off of then Cosmo & Wanda. Either that or I think Peri should've been Hazel's fairy godparent instead of Cosmo & Wanda, because he has more room to grow and develope as a character then they do, making his potential dynamic with Hazel a lot more interesting. Idk just in general I think having Hazel interact almost exclusively with Cosmo & Wanda was a mistake-
Also should be noted; I am saying this as someone who has never seen the original Fairly Oddparents. I don't know if the original show had these issues aswell or not, everything I know about the original comes from random YouTube videos I watched out of curiousity/boredom. Either way if the original DID have issues with Timmy's relationships being really boring then uh. That's not an excuse for A New Wish to do the same, I guess. Idk where I'm going with this... also sorry if this essay is incoherent! I have a lot of thoughts about how Hazel's relationships are really poorly executed and I just needed to get them out skfnvdkdjfndn- if you want me to elaborate on anything feel free to leave a comment or send me an ask :)

A New Car and a Lake Party
{Rosalina Outfit for her day at school.}
Rosalina P.O.V
It was quiet, far too quiet for my liking as I looks around her surroundings. It was dark and nothing in sight for miles. "Rosalina Witwicky..." I jumped as she looked around seeing a large figure that was blurry and sound to be made of metal. "How...How do you know my name?" I asked the creature, staring into their visible glowing blue eyes or orbs? she wasn't sure. "You will know who I am soon just..make sure to be careful...th-" "MS. Witwicky!" I jumped pulling my body up straight remembering where I was. Falling asleep in my History class I felt my face become hot as I look down. "Next time try to stay awake next class Ms. Witwicky." The teacher said slightly glaring at her. "Sorry...it won't happen again..." She said softly. The teacher sighed softly letting it go. "It better not. Mr. Witwicky, you're up." The noise of paper rustling together as I turned my head seeing my brother trying to get everything for his project ready. As he walked past me I wished him luck. If he aced this project and get an A in this class, our dad will get him a new car. As for me, I paid for my whole car, and it was a nice 2008 Harley Davidson motorcycle that was purple.

{The beautiful bike}
As Sam made his way up to the desk in front he dumped every single piece of paper and trinket. "S-Sorry I got a lot of stuff... for my famil-" Soon Sam was cut off as a rubber band was shot at him hitting him square in the neck as he tensed up rubbing the area that was hit. The class began to laugh beside me. "Who did that!?" The teacher yelled standing up trying to look for the person that did it. Of course, everyone stayed quiet but I knew exactly who it was. I turned my head to look at my best friend douchbag of a boyfriend Trent. Ever since I could remember Trent has always picked on my brother and I've always tried to help but Trent just kept going. I glared at him as he just smirks and gives me a wink. I shivered in disgust as I look back at the teacher pointing at everyone. "People responsibility." The teacher sat back down as Sam continued. "Um... So, for my family genealogy report, I decide to do it on my great-great-grandfather, who was a famous man, Captian Archibald Witwicky. He was a very famous explorer, he was one of the first to explore the Arctic Circle, which is a big deal." Sam explained sweaty as he was trying to show everyone the map of the arctic circle. "In 1897, he took 41 brave sailors straight into the Arctic shelf. So that's the story, right?" He said as I rolled my eyes wondering how this assignment would get him an A when he halved ass it. He then began to grab the tools our grandfather used.
"And here we have some of the basic instruments and tools used by 19th-century seamen." The class laughed as I rolled my eyes at how immature they were. "This here is the quadrant, which you can get for 80 bucks," Sam stated as I groaned. 'Sam...please don't sell our grandfather's things.." I thought to myself "It's all for sale, by the way. Like the sextant. $50 for this which is a bargain. These are pretty cool. " He said as he held up our grandfather glasses. "These are my grandfather's glasses. I haven't got them appraised yet but they've seen many cool things." "Are you going to sell his liver as well? Mr. Witwicky, this isn't a show and sell. It's 11th grade. I don't think your grandfather would particularly be proud of what you're doing." The teacher said saying what I was thinking. "I'm sorry...I just you know this is going to my car. You can tell your folks. It's on eBay. I take Paypal, cold hard cash works too." Before he could finish he stopped as he looked at me giving him a death glare. "Sam..stop," I growled out as he nodded his face pale. "S-Sorry. Unfortunately, my great-great-grandfather, being the genius that he was, wound up going blind and crazy in a psycho ward, drawing these strange symbols and babbling about some giant iceman that he discovered." As Sam finished the last few words the bell rang as everyone started to leave. " Okay Might be a pop quiz tomorrow might not sleep in fear tonight."
I walked past the teacher's desk as he handed me my grade for the project. "Ms. Witwicky good job on your report. You got an A+" I smiled sweetly at the teacher as I look back at Sam mouthing a 'Good luck.' I headed to my bike holding my helmet. I met up with Mikaela outside of the class. "Hey, Mickey." I smiled softly as she turned round to look at me as we embraced. Sure we were in the same class but the teacher was strict to keep us away from one another. "Hey, Rosie you coming to the lake party tonight?" "Yea, is it okay if I bring my brother Sam?" "Yea girl that's fine with me I'll see you later." Rosalina nodded as she left heading to her dad's car as she placed her backpack in the back seat of his car as I went to the driver's side to kiss his cheek. "Hi, daddy." He smiled as he looked at me. "Hey, sweetheart where's your brother?" "He is haggling with the teacher to up his grade." My dad nodded as I went to get my bike. I adored my bike the moment I saw it. It was as if I was destined to have this bike like mine. I hop onto it as I put on my helmet.

I revved up my bike as I drove out of the parking lot of the school and drove to be right beside my dad's car coming at the same time as Sam ran out of the school looking at Dad with a wide smile. "So?" Dad said as sam hopped into the car franticly waving the paper in Dad's face. "A- it's an A though," Sammy said as I smiled as dad confirmed it was indeed an A. "Great job Sammy now you can get a car," I said and with that, we all drove away from the school and prepared to get Sammy his own car.
❤️Time skip❤️
As one of dad's jokes, he drove us to a Porsche dealership making Sam get excited only for it to be ripped away as dad told him he wouldn't be getting a Porsche as he took him to the cheapest dealership had ever seen. I parked right next to my dad turning off my bike and placing my helmet on the sit as they both got out of the car. "Here? No, no, no, what is this? You sad half a car, not half a piece of crap dad." Sam said annoyed as I looked around standing next to the two. "When I was your age, I'd be happy with four wheels and an engine," Dad said. "But why do I get a crappy car while Rosalina has a good-looking motorcycle?" He asked very annoyed. "Because she saved up her own money not needing me to pay for it," Dad answered back. I wanted to look around more. "Hey, daddy I am going to look around while Sam has his little...temper tantrum," I said smirking as I walk away hearing Sam trying to defend why he was having one.
I looked at the dirty-looking cheap cars that seemed to be used and repaired without having a new coat of paint. But as I got closer I notice a 1967 Chevrolet Camaro with black racing stripes. Sure it was dirty but was still a bitching car. She ran her hand down the hood. "My you're a good-looking car," I said as I felt the car shuddered under my hand as I pulled it. 'I must be feeling things?' I question as I was next to the passenger's side looking inside smiling. "Sammy! Come here I found you the perfect car!" I yelled as Sam came over admiring the car. "Not bad sis it's got racing strips," he said as he got into the car looking inside of it. As she was now next to him in the driver's side looking at the wheel and the odd symbol on it." Huh, weird." Sam said as I agreed with him. It was very odd but gave the car a good style. Both Sam and I ignored the dealer talking to a man named Manny about the car. "So, how much?" Our dad asked as the dealer thought about it. "Well, considering the semi-classic nature of the vehicle, with the sick wheels and custom paint job-" "But the paint's faded." Sam snapped back cutting the man off as he looked back at him.
"Yeah, but it's custom." "It's custom faded?" Sam asked as I couldn't help but let out a snicker at the man's annoyed face. "Well, it's your first car you wouldn't understand. I will say Five grand." The guy said as Rosalina sighed knowing dad wouldn't pay more than four grand. "No, I'm not paying over four grand sorry," Dad said as the dealer slapped the passenger side door to get me and Sam's attention. "Get out of the car kids." I sighed as I moved out the way to let Sam out as I leaned on the side of the car. Sam got out trying to find a way to get the Car he wanted as I zoned out until I notice the side door for the Camaro opened colliding with the yellow punch buggy. The man was alright but tried to sell other cars shaking it off. 'Cover..yo..ur...ear...s' A voice called out as I did as a high pitch noise came from the car destroying the windows of the others until the Camaro was the only car still in one piece. The dealer looked around shaken as he turned to our father holding four fingers up. "F-Four thousand." His voice high pitch as me and Sam smiled. Looked like Sam had a whole new car of his own.
❤️Time Skip❤️
After we got home I told Sam he should wash his new car and he agreed. "Oh also later you're coming to the lake party with me," I said as he became excited. I laughed as I headed to my room to ready for the party. But as I did my mind...went to the voice earlier. I sat on my bed thinking about it.

{Her room}
The voice echoed in my head as it was soothing in a way. 'Who are you..' I sighed as I got up and went to my bathroom to take a shower before getting ready. I stripped my clothes as I looked at my body. My hands traced over the stretch marks on my stomach, and breast. "Don't worry Rosalina you are still a beautiful queen inside and out." I smiled as I got in the shower enjoying the warm water running down my body. After a few minutes of scrubbing my bottle, I got out of the shower and wrapped a towel around her body drying her hair off with another towel as she got ready for the party. Placing her soft slightly straight hair in a messy bun as she put her outfit on.
{Her outfit and Makeup}
As I looked at myself in the mirror I smiled as I head to Sam's room to see if he was ready, of course, knocking as she didn't know what he could be doing and she really didn't want to know. "Sammy you ready?" she asked him as the door opened fast as Sam looked at her smiling but a little sweaty as he grabbed his keys. We made our way down to the backward as I grab my keys and helmet Sammy grabbed his keys as he walked on the grass while I walked on the path dad made, well was still making. "Oh, Sam I do not want footprints on my grass. Why not use the path as your sister has done, thank you, sweetie." I smiled leaning down as I kiss his cheek walking past him to get to my bike. "Have a good time sweetheart." "I will mom," I said getting my motorcycle from the garage as Sam argued with our parents. As I came out of the garage driving next to Sam's car he was inside of it. "I want you two back home by 11 o'clock. For the love of God Drive safely." She said as I and Sam let out an okay as they drove off picking up Sam's friend.
❤️Time Skip❤️
As we made it to the lake I parked my bike in the grass, placing my helmet on the seat. I looked around for Mikaela, seeing she was with Trent and his group. She hated her with Trent and hoped she finds a better guy, maybe her brother? who knows. She runs towards Mikaela hugging her as she hugs her back I ignored Trent looking at me from top to bottom with hungry eyes. "Hey, Rosie glad you finally made it! You look good." Mikaela said softly smiling as I returned the smile. "Thanks, Mickey, you look good as well," I said softly as I heard grumbling as I turned my head to see Miles climbing up a tree as Sam became so embarrassed. 'Dumbass, he's gonna ruin everything for Sam.' I thought to myself as I glared at Miles as he hung upside down As Trent looked at them as he and his friends chuckled as they then looked at Sam's car and Rosalina's bike. "Hey, dude. That's a nice car, your bike is awesome as well Rosie." Trent said as I ignored him. "Thanks." Sam said not paying him any mind.
He rolled his eyes as he looks back at Sam. "So what are you two doing here?" He asked I turned to look at him. "I invited them. Is that a problem?" I asked him as he looks at me a fake smile on his punchable face. "No problem at all. Hey didn't you tryout for football?" Trent asked Sam. I tensed up softly as she remembered how Sam was bed rested for a month. "Ah...no I wasn't trying out I was doing research on A book I was writing." "Oh Yeah? What's it about? Sucking at sports?" Trent said. Sam laughed A little at it. "No, it's about the link between brain damage and football. But no it's a good book your friends would love it, its got mazes in it and, you know, little coloring areas, pop-up picture. It's a lot of fun." I laughed at Sam's joke holding my stomach as Trent looked pissed.
"That's funny" Trent said walking up to my brother. Before he could get any closer I got between them and got in Trents face. "Back off Trent or so help me my foot is going to be so far up your ass you'll become a shish kabob." I said in a threatening voice. Before Trent could say anything Mikaela came and pushed Trent back. "You know what stop." She told Trent and turn around to give you a hug goodbye. "You want to hang out tomorrow and go to the mall?" She asked me. "Yea sure 10:45 ok time to meet you there?" I asked her. "Yea I'll pick you up k?" "Ok bye Mickey." "Bye Rosalina." With that she walked away. "Come on guys I know where another party is. You could still come sexy.~" Trent gave me a wink and walked back to his car with his buddies. I held up my middle finger to him as me, Sammy, and Miles walked back to his car. The two bickering as I sigh. "So much for going to this party." I say as i rub my head.
"Sorry sis but hey at least you looked like a badass." Sam said as I rolled my eyes smiling. I thanked him as Miles jumped into the car from the window as I slap him upside the head. "Dumb ass use the door next time if you fuck up Sam's car I'll kill you." I hiss as I look out seeing Mikaela walking away form Trents truck as I think of an idea. I look at my brother. "Sam offer Mikaela a ride home." I say as the car begins to play whose gonna drive you home tonight. "Good idea." "What bro she a evil jock concubine just let her walk home." Miles said. "She lives ten miles from here. This could be my only chance." Sam replied. "Alright we'll just put her in the back and I'll be quiet." Miles stated. I look at him with anger in my eyes. "Did you just say put her in the back?" I said annoyances in my voice. Miles looked at me. "I called shotgun." "Miles get out the car." Sam said getting in his car. "What your breaking the bro code, bros before hoes." Miles said. I opening miles door and yank him out yelling "GET OUT!!!!" I then close the door and look at Sam. "Go get her Sammy. I'll see you at home." I told Sam. He gave me a smile and nod then drove after Mikaela. I watched as I smiled to myself. I let out a victory yes as she gets in his car.
I was happy for my little brother that he found happiness and hoped one day I get mine. Sure there were guys in the past but they either wanted to be in my pants or just didn't mesh with me. I look at my phone to see it 9:45 and I decide to head hoe before dad kills me. I place my helmet on my head as I rev up my bike and head home. After a 15 minute drive I park my bike in the garage and head inside. I see my parents watching tv as they look at me. "Hi sweetie where's Sammy?" Mom asked I walked over after placing my helmet on the table. "His dropping off a friend, should be home soon." I say as they nod. I yawn softly as I head to the stairs. "I am gonna head to bed. Going shopping with Mikaela tomorrow . Goodnight I love you guys." I said as I walk up the stairs as I heard them say their goodnights. I quickly get dressed and cover myself up. I feel sleep take me as I dreamed of the voice in my dreams and thinking of what tomorrow will bring.
Decided to rewrite an old story. Hope Ya'll like it.

Idk if this is possible or not or if you've done it already but could you list all the rainbow references in the show?
Haha- talk about pandora’s box. Sure, personally i think the rainbows have multiple meanings -3 meanings to to be exact
1) Rainbows being associated with psychics + Will’s powers plot twist
*We see in the stranger thing novel 'suspicious minds' when overusing powers you may hallucinate rainbows (which are also associated with the void/ monsters in the series) .
Terry: “Spots bloomed behind her eyelids. Every color … as the sunlight turned to rainbows” ( p44-45), “streaks of rainbow appeared (p47)”,“The rainbow stayed with Terry for a long while, but eventually it faded and in its place: darkness. A pit.”(p. 48).
Alice (who sees visions of the future) : “Snarling, snapping monsters,RAINBOW LIGHTS playing in the air around them” (p. 121).
cough Will being in the upsidedown/being chased by “monsters”. And Joyce communicating with Will via “rainbow lights.”

The rainbow room (from s2) also has a rainbow on the door- according to the novel kali drew that rainbow. Similar to Will's rainbow drawing. Kali in the book also creates a rainbow allusion with sunflowers (Terry ref).
Kali: “field of yellow sunflowers grew up around them. A rainbow arcing over the golden tops.” (p. 139). “He noticed she’d drawn up there, a rainbow with her colored pencils. Maybe he’d suggest that for the playroom” (the rainbow room we see in s2) (p. 298)
I also already talked about how Terry saying "breath, sunflower, rainbow " is actually a reference to s1 Will- here (in link including pic of Will and Terry being told to “breath”.

*El in s3 also thinks of papa, her mother , and the rainbow room- cause she sees a cereal box with a rainbow (on it).

Dustin and susie sing a song from the film adaption of the book "never ending story". Which indicates how Will is subconsciously creating the supernatural creatures & people in the series . Before they sing, we also see susie is next to a ‘wizard of oz’ posters & she reads & talks to Dustin about the book "wizard of earthsea'. 2 of the 3 examples have rainbow-related songs (in their film adaptions) & all 3 hint at Will’s powers.

* wizard of earthsea:
It’s about a pre-teen wizard named Ged who has a bowl cut (Will) who casts a powerful spell, but the spell goes awry and instead he releases a shadow creature (by opening a portal between the living & dead- Will is a zombie boy remember?)! The new Archmage, Gensher, describes the shadow as an ancient evil that wishes to possess Ged. But the ‘shadow’ turns out to be a representation of the darkest aspects of his personality. It’ only when he calls the shadow monster by his own name “Ged”(cough mf=will the wise) does the monster stop acting out. The only way to save the world is for ged to then merge with the shadow(and for Ged to accept himself-and “become whole”).This also reminds me of the “Jungian shadow”
* never ending story:
Bastian ( who has a bowl cut- and is from single parent house hold) subconsciously creates a fantasy world being over run by darkness (symbolizing the loss of hope and dreams). One of the characters he creates is Atreyu (El). Atreyu ( was the child deemed the ‘chosen one). “Atreyu is knocked into the sea of possibilities. There he wakes on the shore of abandoned ruins. And Gmorick (mindflayer) then latches his jaws onto Atreyu’s (El’s) leg.”Pretty much what happened to El.”The Empress in the story later tells Atreyu, that despite being told he was the chosen one (he never was). And that it was always Bastian (Will) who was the chosen one-since his imagination created Fantasia (so he’s the only way to stop the darkness from over -running it).”
Will has mental health issues and accidentally writes a “story” about the shadow monster (reflecting his tra*ma). Bastian is depressed (over his parent) and subconsciously creates a story about darkness over-running everything. Like how Hopper describes his depression- like a black hole.
song Dustin & Susie sing:
“Written on the pages is the answer to a never ending story” (cough the books susie referenced - are explaining the answer to what’s causing the mindflayer/upsidedown/the lab...this story )
“DREAM a dream. And what you DREAM will be” ( Will’s imagination making his nightmares come true)
“Rhymes that keep their secrets Will unfold behind the clouds. And there upon a RAINBOW Is the answer to a never ending story.”
(the lyric “rhymes that keep their SECRETS” purposely pans to Will both times the song is sung). Because the ‘SECRET’ is -he’s causing everything. And thus he’s the only way to stop it- or they’ll all be stuck in a never-ending story. The only way to stop it is for Will to face his shadow/the mindflayer (aka the other Will) who is always shown within the STORM CLOUDS . Will needs to create a RAINBOW (out of those storm clouds). Like rainbows that show up AFTER a storm. He’d do this by accepting himself , his tra*ma/mental health relating to his dad, and or his gay identity- then the story will be able to end.Dustin even says “ defeat his RAINBOW of DARKNESS” (and later says a “rainbow is the answer ”(to the story). st book:”The RAINBOW stayed with Terry for a long while, but eventually it faded and in its place: DARKNESS. A pit.”AKA: Will has to face his symbolic darkness and the storm/and than create a rainbow from it- for the story to end...
When Dustin says ‘rainbow of darkness’ he talks about my little pony- where one of their friends became a dragon. in d&d wizards can become dragons &Bastian also summons a dragon with his imagination powers in ‘never ending story’. And Will is associated with dragons: s1he has dragon comic & drawing, s2 Will has dragon poster in his room + watches his friends play dragon game. And again... dungeons & dragons.
Also tw for s.a/parental ab*se (so skip to ‘wizard of oz’ if you prefer ). In the 4th book of wizard of Eathsea (20 years after the original, where ged was the protagonist). The new main protagonist - was r*ped and burned by her father as a child (and in the sequel she became a dragon as a form of empowerment ). which goes with my lonnie theory-sadly.
*wizard of oz:
it’s about a Dorothy creating a mythical world based on people she both likes and dislikes . Dorothy sings in the movie a song about a ‘RAINBOW’ and references ‘DREAMS’ coming true in a mythical land -much like the ‘never ending story’ song (referencing “rainbows”/”dreams” coming to life).
“There's a land that I heard of once in a lullaby Somewhere over the RAINBOW, Skies are blue, And the DREAMS that you dare to dream, really do come true...”

We see in s1 Hopper cop-partner calls the lab “emerald city”. Murray in s2 says people “don’t want to look behind the curtain” (to see what’s causing the supernatural -in the film what was literally behind the curtain was a wizard-cough like Will). We also have -lion, tiger, and bear stuffed animals (as a ‘lion, and tigers, and bears-oh my!’ quote )from the film. And David harbor (Hopper) when referencing the s4 rainbow room (quotes the song) and he also quotes a speech from Dorothy-when posting about the cabin the mindflayer destroyed.
2) Rainbow cups (hinting at Lonnie’s return)
We see 2 rainbow cups in the series.
in s2) when Mike & Will are sitting together & saying they’re “crazy together” . This cup next to them says “happy birthday” in rainbow. Later that season- they talk about Will’s birthday-rainbow drawing, Mike&Will meeting & Lonnie leaving. And in s2, we also see in Will’s room a card that says “sorry, I forgot your birthday”(most likely from Lonnie). So both Lonnie & Mike are associated with Will’s bday.
in s3) We see a woman yell “I don’t want her in my house!” (while she sits next to a rainbow cup). reminiscent of Joyce saying to Lonnie “get out of my house”. We also know there are rumors s4 takes place during Will’s birthday & Lonnie’s actor may have been spotted on set. Along with the fact (it’s pretty much confirmed) Mike will be visiting the Byers in s4. However, the woman (next to the rainbow cup) also says “2 visitor only. 2!″
THE 2 VISITORS ARE MIKE &LONNIE (for Will’s b day).
Also, in s3, when El is drinking from cup- she sees a rainbow. And what’s the first word she thinks of? “Papa.”
so rainbow+cup= shitty dads (lonnie & brenner) probably returning
*And of course if that’s the case -Lonnie (the same guy who called Will h*mophobic sl*rs) will not be supportive of Mike & Will’s “friendship”. And will not be nice to Mike (to say the least). Like... imagine Hopper in s3 - but we know he’s not bluffing and the audience won’t have the option to take it as a joke... and yes the s4 movies hint at that...
3) gay symbolism
First we have Mike wheeler. He in s1 has rainbows sheets, rainbow bedroom blinds , and in his basement there’s a heart propelled by a rainbow. This is like how in s3 Mike kisses El and there is a drawing that says "Mike'. And on the drawing is a heart propelled by a rainbow. I already explained how its symbolic of him trying to be straight/fighting his feelings for Will, but wherever he goes a rainbow still follows (even when he tries being romantic with El). He’s trying to hide his “rainbow heart” by dating El- why in s3 (the rainbow-heart in his basement) mysteriously disappeared from his room (but a similar symbol follows Mike even when he kisses El).
Even in s2 when talking about Will (in the AV tech room): Mike is placed in the center of 2 objects : an object with 11 on it & on the right a rainbow apple (this apple is supposed to be an ode to the gay father of computers- but also about the forbidden apple). Hinting at the love triangle of Mike (with El/Will). PLUS, in the ST book ‘worlds turned upsidedown’ they literally show Mike in the AV room- and put the caption “FALLING IN LOVE- with tech” (and placed rainbow flags next to the caption). And of course we have Mike & Will pose next to the rainbow apple- in the AV room.
We also see when Mike and Will says they’re “crazy together” (aka LOVE-as Flo stated) and they’re next to a rainbow cup that says Happy birthday .
And later that season they ref the rainbow ship Will drew for his birthday-which Joyce was "proud" of. And while dancing with a girl (Will according to the script was looking at Mike instead of her) . That girl is wearing a rainbow heart hair pin. This is essentially a parallel to Mike . Will (next to a rainbow heart) is dancing with a girl, but is secretly thinking of Mike. Mike (next to a rainbow heart) is kissing el but secretly thinking of Will (and immediately goes on a movie double date with Will after this). The lyrics of both these scenes indicate they're not happy pretending to be straight. The lyrics for Will are "every smile you fake". And Mike while kissing el is "just a little uncertainty can bring you down" (and during this lyric is when El puts her hands on him-and he removes her hands from him *aka he’s not as confident in the relationship as he pretends to be.
We see in s4 bts that the rainbow heart hair pin (worn by the girl Will dances with) is also worn by nancy while standing next to Robin (who is gay). So being near a ‘rainbow-heart’ is prob a hint a character is gay. Aka robin & Will & Mike.
tumblr user “awhstrangerthings” pointed out the nancy -hair clip detail.
In s1 when troy is calling Will h*mophobic sl*rs (in front of Mike) he wears a rainbow shirt. And max while often critiquing m*leven (in s3) (to Mike) often wears rainbow shirts. I talked about how I thought Troy and max subconsciously remind Mike he isn't straight - so they're associated with the rainbow iconography-post here. Like we see Max with rainbow sheets (like Mike) and than she immediately talks to him on the phone. I mean she could be queer- but I lean to that theory at the moment.
The whole being near rainbows when associating with a queer character makes sense (it’s like a ‘gay-dar”). Similar to Nancy’s hair clip when being near Robin/ that Girl having the same rainbow hair clip when dancing with Will. If we assume this theory than see a pattern with other characters (when speaking about/being near queer coded characters)....
it’s similar to how : When lucas (via subtext) criticizes m*leven- he is also next to a rainbow (in Erica's room). I explained here- why it’s about m*leven.

or when Jonathan says he’s going to hang out with Will (it’s near a rainbow).

This Jonathan moment -Is similar to when Steve ( who has a rainbow bandaid-from the Byers’ house) calls Mike “Nancy” (which is slang for a gay guy)
*another addition: you see in the comments of this post ghostgirlsatin mentioned Dart has a rainbow blanket. But, I noticed a couple of other things.
notice Dustin says "we have to talk- its about my friend ,Will". As Dustin is near rainbow lights and a rainbow bed sheet. Like how
A) rainbows are associated with the supernatural creatures + Will
B) rainbow lights associated with Will
C) rainbows near straight characters when talking about /near queer characters... similar to how Jonathan is near a rainbow when talking about Will

*also can’t tell if that is a ‘rainbow ship’ poster?
We also see Erica has a sunflower & rainbow drawing in her room... at the moment not sure if its just a random easteregg , foreshadowing something supernatural we're not aware of yet? or just for the m*leven diss?
(although given the fact i think some characters were created by Will- and given all the Max &Billy/Will & jonathan parallels ... the rainbow stuff may be a hint Will created them? I mean they even made a Troy comic just to show his dad is a bully.) But, at the moment, i still lean to (some) characters having rainbow iconography because they’re referring to/are near a queer character.

Restless Rewatch: The Untamed Episode 16, part two
(Masterpost of All the Rewatches) (Previous Post) (Canary’s Pinboard of Stuff)
Warning: Spoilers for All 50 Episodes
Just A Box of Rain
The brothers find Jiang Yanli and tell her what happened. Pro Tip: a good way to deliver bad news is like this. 1. say "I have bad news" so the person can be prepared for a shock 2. clearly state the bad news.
Standing in front of the person with tears streaming down your face and looking away when they try to meet your eyes is not, actually, a super effective method for delivering bad news.
This episode continues to be punctuated by closeups of characters' hands as they respond to events.
Yanli clutches her broken lotus pendant, cutting her palm and bleeding as she weeps.
Not-at-all symbolic rain drenches the three of them while they cry, standing apart and not comforting each other.
Sometimes a hurt is so deep deep deep You think that you're gonna drown Sometimes all I can do is weep weep weep With all this rain falling down
(more after the cut)
They upgrade their boat with repaired seats and a real oar, and move along toward a hopefully-safer location.
The scenery continues to be gorgeous, and it appears to be actually really raining on this river or lake. We see Wei Wuxian's hand on the boat's oar as he takes his siblings to what he hopes will be safety.
Maybe you're tired and broken Your tongue is twisted with words half spoken
OP is valiantly resisting dropping a chunk of "Don't Pay the Ferryman" lyrics in here, because projecting European symbolism onto Chinese media is not my bag. This scene does carry a lot of weight, though, showing Wei Wuxian’s sadness and isolation, his ever-growing distance from his siblings and reminding us of his servant status. While his siblings sit under shelter with tears falling down their faces, Wei Wuxian stands in the rain, laboring to protect them and not letting his own tears fall.
It's totally reasonable that Wei Wuxian is the one to man the oar, right? I'm sure Jiang Cheng is the more exhausted of the two of them even though Wei Wuxian started off his day yesterday getting whipped FIVE times by the Zidian and ended it by being choked for 45 seconds.
Self-Isolation
They reach an inn, where Yanli has a fever, maybe from being left outside all night while her brothers failed to work out any of their interpersonal shit, followed by getting extremely rained on for hours and hours.
Wei Wuxian carefully puts on a bright, optimistic face for her, practicing for his future fake happiness after the Burial Mounds.

Jiang Cheng sits and has a lot of feelings, totally not helping while Wei Wuxian tends to Yanli. This is not typical of him and just shows how deeply shocked he is by what's happened; usually he is extremely attentive to Yanli and careful with her health.
Wei Wuxian tries to get Jiang Cheng's attention, so that Jiang Cheng can take over caring for Yanli while Wei Wuxian gets medicine. Jiang Cheng is busy staring into the middle distance, and won't respond.
This is Wei Wuxian realizing that absolutely nobody is going to help him.
Wei Wuxian goes out in his distinctive robes with no hood or anything, to buy some fever medicine, and is quickly surrounded by guards. They hear "we caught him" and run off, leaving him be.
What Wei Wuxian doesn't know, that we learn in Episode 50, is that Jiang Cheng and his death wish decided to take a stroll, and seeing the Wen soldiers approach Wei Wuxian finally snapped him out of his reverie. So he let himself be caught in order to draw them away from Wei Wuxian.
Let's talk about this choice. In terms of clan roles, Wei Wuxian is absolutely the expendable one. Jiang Cheng became the clan leader when his father died, and knew it from the moment he saw his father's body.
So far he's 1. Tried to go back to fight and die, against his parents' express instructions 2. left his sister alone in an inn with a fever 3. given himself up to be killed in place of his chief disciple, when it's his disciples' job to die for him, if it comes to that. All but two of Clan Yao's disciples died to protect fucking Captain Blowhard, for goodness sake.
All of these actions are emotionally super understandable; he's young, he's had a terrible shock, and he's an emotional guy who's never heard of Dialectical Behavior Therapy. And I'm not here to defend feudal power structures. But perhaps Jiang Cheng shouldn't ring the "YOU PROMISED" bell quite so loud in the future, considering his own relationship to his obligations.
Wei Wuxian begs Yanli to stay put and stay safe while he goes to find Jiang Cheng, and he promises to take Jiang Cheng back from the Wens. Yanli clutches his hands and asks him to promise again that he will rescue their brother, and that they will all go to Meishan together. But for once Wei Wuxian is completely honest, and disentangles his hands and sets off without another word.
More running ensues, this time in the rain. To quote Adam in Season 7 Episode 1 of Spooks, "all this traumatized running is starting to really annoy me." (Spooks is the shit. Don't watch it if you like characters to have a lifespan longer than a mayfly's)
Camera Operator: Finally, a little appreciation
Wei Wuxian arrives in Lotus Pier, and can we just take a second to appreciate the decor of this place? Look at that tile floor with the cobblestone border, and the bamboo wall panel behind him.

He grabs the first Wen he finds, who turns out to be a much-needed friend.
Rescue Me
The Untamed is the tale of a man’s devotion; devotion so strong it transcends clan allegiance and even death. And that man’s name is Wen Ning.

Initially Wei Wuxian chokes him, like bros do, until he recognizes him and lets him go...
...only to immediately grab him and demand to know if he had a part in the massacre. Wen Ning stays pretty calm, seeing the angry side of Wei Wuxian for the first time, and explains that he heard about what happened, and is there to help.
Wei Wuxian absorbs this and lets him go, giving us a closeup of their hands together, with Wen Ning not so much resisting Wei Wuxian's grip as giving a steadying grip of his own to his best friend.
Wen Ning, who Wei Wuxian saved from one water demon, has already saved Wei Wuxian from one horrifying animatronic dog, and does not actually owe him a life debt at this point. Wen Ning has defied his sister and his entire clan and flown to Lotus Pier with a team of minions, with the specific intent of fucking things up for Wen Chao to the best of his abilities, simply because "Wei Wuxian is a nice person."
Wei Wuxian isn't feeling like a nice person just now, however, thinking that he can use Wen Ning as a hostage to...what, trade for his brother? Wen Chao would probably be happy to kill Wen Ning himself, but his dad needs Wen Ning as a way to control Wen Qing, so maybe that plan would work.
Then Wei Wuxian sees this small pouch hanging from Wen Ning's belt, and it stops him in his tracks.
For once we are not given a flashback to explain his thinking, so I’ll provide one

The talisman he gave Wen Ning to protect him, now protects him from Wei Wuxian himself. He lets Wen Ning's arm go, and tries to think of another plan.
Wen Ning already has another plan, and has come to Lotus Pier prepared to enact it.

Wei Wuxian can't believe he's found someone to help him. In a moment of wrenching vulnerability, he asks Wen Ning to save Jiang Cheng and to retrieve the bodies of Jiang Fengmian and Yu Ziyuan. Wen Ning immediately agrees.

Wen Ning then embarks upon the least sneaky sabotage campaign of all time, chatting to the guards while messing with the wine, and generally acting like a person who is up to something.
Nobody respects him enough to worry about it, though, and the party proceeds as planned.
The banquet is set up in the cleaned-up courtyard of Lotus Pier The Yunmeng Supervisory Office, and features dancing girls performing in the center of the beautiful carved paving, and corpses hanging in the doorway.
I bet Jin Guangyao hires this same dance troupe for his future parties.
Wen Chao and Wang Lingjiao sit at the main table, snuggling and being gross, but mercifully not necking on-camera because this is a 100% no-necking show. The drinks are sent around and Wen Chao tells Wen Zhuliu to drink up.
Wen Zhuliu is busy gazing wistfully at Yu Ziyuan's corpse.
Let's face it, Wen Zhuliu is the only dangerous person in this place at the moment, so what he does next is the make-or-break for Wen Ning’s plan.
Wen Zhuliu smells his wine and immediately can tell something is wrong. He takes a long moment to consider the situation, eyes on Yu Ziyuan, and then downs it, letting his emotions--perhaps something in the neighborhood of remorse, perhaps simple disgust at his craven supervisor--get the better of him.
In the morning he will be able to tell Wen Chao with 100% precision exactly what the drug is, probably from smelling it right here. This is the only miscalculation Wen Zhuliu makes in the whole show, and it eventually costs him his life.

Wen Zhuliu has no reason to think this decision will hurt him. It's definitely impossible for Jiang Cheng, whipped and crushed, to avenge himself and his parents. But Jiang Cheng, with Wei Wuxian’s help, is going to achieve the impossible.
We end with Wei Wuxian hiding while he waits for Wen Ning, as strung out as we have seen him so far, although he's got worse mental states ahead of him on his journey. He doesn't know yet if he was right to trust Wen Ning, and the episode ends with him, cold, wet, and miserable, waiting to find out.
Next Episode: Still miserable, but with a cape! Soundtrack: 1. Patty Griffin, Rain 2. Grateful Dead, Box of Rain

Mismatch- Part 6
Bio Dad Bruce Wayne Month 2020
Sibling bonding at its finest, fighting and breaking rules
First< Previous> Next
----
“Maman, Papa, we’re fine,” Marinette holds the phone between them.
“Are you sure you don’t want to come home?” Tom asks through speaker phone.
“No Papa, Nette worked hard for this trip,” Marion insists, they are sitting in the back of Bruce's car with him and Selina in the front.
“We both work-”
“Both want to stay, that's right,” Marion cuts her off, grinning at her glare, “Besides we have things to do here remember ?”
“Ok, but if you change your minds,” Sabine frets, they do have a concert coming up.
“We’ll be on the first flight back,” Marinette agrees, Aunt Selina leans back and she holds up the phone for her.
“Don’t worry Tom, I’ll keep them out of trouble,” She tells her brother.
“You’re the last person I trust to do that,” Tom laughs from the other end of the line.
“Rude,” She glares down at the phone.
“I’m sure you’ll do just fine,” Sabine speaks over her husbands laughter.
“Thank you Sabine, you're my favourite person in Paris,” She winks at the twins, whispering "Right now,"
"Hey!" Tom shouts from the phone.
“Of course,” Sabine chuckles over her husband,“We have to go back to the bakery now,”
“We’ll talk later,” Tom promises, "Have fun,"
“See ya,” Selina sits back upright.
“Bye Papa, Maman,” Marinette moves to hang up
“Also we met Aunt Selina's fiance! Bye!" Marion blurts, everyone in the car freezes.
“WHA-” Marion hangs up.
“Marion! That was…..” Their Aunt shouts before giggling, turning into full blown laughter,“... That was so…”
The twins start laughing as well, making her give up on whatever lecture she was going to launch into.
“Selina, your phones ringing,” Bruce says, as she calms down.
“Yeah, it’s probably going to do that for awhile,” Selina turns it to silent and ignores the call, then turns to Marion,“Don’t ever do that again,”
“Are you planning on getting remarried?” Marion asks cheekily.
“Quite the thing to admit in front of your fiance,” Marinette adds, glancing at Bruce to see he is also smiling slightly. Years with Kagami had trained her to notice those hints of emotion.
“Brats,” She huffs turning back around.
“We love you,” They chorus.
“Brats,” Selina shakes her head fondly just as they approach the gates.
Marinette stares in awe at the large estate. The architecture and gardens immediately had her pulling out her sketch book to jot down ideas. She gets pushed out of the car by Marion and keeps drawing as they walk towards the Manor doors.
"You're home is beautiful," Marinette compliments Bruce.
"Thank you, I think so too," Bruce says as the doors open.
“Welcome home, Master Bruce, Miss Selina,” Alfred stands in the doorway, “And you, Miss Dupain-Cheng and Mr Cheng-Dupain, welcome to Wayne Manor.”
“It’s good to see you again, please, just Marinette's fine,” Marinette puts away her sketchbook.
“Yeah, I'd rather you just call me Marion,” Marion beams at him, before whispering, “Did we even tell you our last names?… witchcraft,”
“Very well, please come this way,” Alfred guides them into the Manor, stopping outside a door, "Master Damian is waiting, I must be off to prepare dinner,"
"Thank you Alfred," Bruce tells the butler as he leaves.
They enter the living room type area. A boy who couldn't even be thirteen yet stands. 'He's so small' Marinette thinks to herself.
"Father," He glares at her and Marion.
“This is my son Damian,” Bruce introduces, “Damian met Marinette and Marion,”
“It’s nice to meet you,” Marinette smiles, holding her hand out.
“Tt” Damian looks away, getting a glare from Bruce before taking her hand, “... Likewise,”
Selinas phone buzzes again. Drawing attention away from the insincere tone.
“I should probably answer them, or they’ll never leave us alone,” Their Aunt sighs taking out her phone, “Bruce come with me, I’m sure they’ll want to meet you,”
“Is this going to be a pleasant conversation?” He asks.
“No its going to be very painful,” Marinette smiles, knowing they were about to have a very long conversation with her over excited Papa. He would probably have planned their wedding by the time they manage to hang up.
“Right,” Bruce says hesitantly, he turns to Damian with a pointed look, “Behave,”
"Tt," is Damian's response as he is left alone with them.
Marion sits down. Marinette follows sitting next to him on one of couches, surprised at how soft it is. Damian sits down on an armchair, picking up a book.
“So, Damian how old are you?" Marinette asks, after a full minute of silence
“12,” He doesn't look up from his book
“... We’re 18, twins if you couldn't tell,” Marion steps in gesturing between them.
“I could,” Damian answers shortly.
“Right... so what are your hobbies?” Marinette tries again.
“... painting,” Damian concedes under her expectant gaze.
“Oh, can we see?” She asks excitedly.
“No,” Damian snaps. She doesn't let that discourage her, she doesn't like showing strangers her designs. Apart from the millions of strangers who see her designs anyway.
“Alright, I get that," Marion shares the sentiment, "What about-Oh my god,”
“What?” Damian finally looks up from his book, scanning the room for the cause of his outburst.
“Kitty!” Marion practically leaps from the couch to get a better look at the cat sauntering across the room.
“Oh no,” Marinette sighs watching her brother melt over the cat.
“That’s Alfred,” Damian tells them eyeing the cat and Marion with mild amusement.
“After Alfred, Alfred your butler?” Marinette tries not to snicker at the name.
“Yes, pennyworth is his namesake,” Damian nods, glare daring Marinette to laugh.
“Can I pet him?!” Marion pleads, with baby-doll eyes that could put Manon to shame.
“You can try, Alfred is very selective about who pets him,” Damian grants, and Marion sits on the ground, inching closer.
“I wouldn’t worry, Mari has a way with cats,” Marinette smirks, thinking back to the time she had to fight an Akuma alone because he was being smothered by cats.
“Come here Alfred,” Marion rubs his hand on the ground, Alfred watching closely.
“Do you have any other pets?” Marinette asks, Damian puts down his book.
“I have Titus, a great dane,” Damian watches as Alfred gives in and pounces on Marion’s hand, “Batcow, self explanatory,”
“Bat-cow mutant?” Marion guesses letting Alfred sniff his hand.
“No,” Damian's irritation shows, “She has patch shaped like the Bat symbol,”
“Oh, that was my second guess,” Alfred lets Marion scratch behind his ear.
“Can we see them?” Marinette excited over meeting Batcow.
“They’ll be around here somewhere, roaming the manor grounds,” Damian responds, non committaly.
“Alfred the Cat, feels weird to call them both Alfred,” Marion muses, Damian looks surprised as the cat climbs into this lap.
“Have you any pets?” Damian asks his first question about them.
“No, we live in a bakery so it would be a health code violation,” Marinette answers sadly. She doubts a box of animal type Kwamis are regulation either but no one has to know about that.
“Al-at? no,” Marion talks to himself, or more likely the cat.
“That’s a shame,” Damian acknowledges monotonously, watching as Alfred the cat starts to purr as Marion scratches his chin.
“We did try to sneak strays in when we were little,” Marinette is unwilling to let the conversation drop.
“Ca-Fred, Cat-Fred!” Marion exclaims, apologising seconds later to the newly dubbed Cat-fred for startling him.
“Try?” Damian sneers.
“The first few times were a disaster, we didn’t get past the front door,” Marinette explains, “Maman and Papa would send them to the shelter straight away,”
“At least they didn’t put them back out on the street,” Damian muses.
“They would never,” Marion responds, in baby talk directed at Cat-fred.
"You don't have to use that ridiculous voice," Damian scolds.
"I know," Marion answers, in the same voice, Damian glowers.
“As we got older we started being able to actually get them inside before being found out,” Marinette distracts him from Marion's taunting.
“One of us would be the distraction and the other snuck in, with a sleeping cat or dog, that one we learnt the hard way,” Marion uses a normal voice, still showering Cat-fred with attention.
“I think that is how I got my reputation for being clumsy,” Marinette sighs, it was always left up to her to distract their parents by knocking something over while Marion snuck in.
“What can I say? Cats love me,” Marion proves his point as Alfred turns over, letting him see his belly.
“I can see that,” Damian seems amused as much as he is surprised.
“At first, they’d find them in a few hours, so we learnt by trial and error,” Marinette continues, relaxing into the couch. "We must have taken in at least a hundred strays,"
“I think the last one we had managed a few months before we go found out,” Marion guesses, they hadn't tried again since the received their miraculous.
For one because they couldn't afford their parents searching their room regularly and coming across the Kwamis. However being the heroes of Paris had also proven effective in getting people to adopt. Usually the first person they asked would immediately agree, if they were suited up.
“So how many more pets have you managed to smuggle in?” Marion stage whispers to Damian, the gap between them being too big to actually whisper, “In a place this big should be easy,”
“I’ve tried… Pennyworth has caught me each time,” Damian admits, looking down at the almost asleep Cat-fred.
“That man is a witch,” Marion declares with certainty.
“What?” Damian seems taken aback.
“He appears out of nowhere and knows too much,” Marion provides what Marinette is sure he considers evidence.
“Hn, that is true,” Damain starts to share his multiple accounts of such behaviour.
The three fall into easy conversation after that listening to and sharing stories.
“I must be going insane,” All their eyes snap to a man standing in the doorway “Demon spawns actually getting along with someone,”
“Todd,” Damian acknowledges coldly.
“Hi,” Marion waves with far more friendliness, “I’m Marion, this is Marinette, your names Todd was it?”
“Jason actually, I lived here and drop by every now and then, mainly when Alfred asks," He explains, sitting on another couch near Marion, "Heard about you had a run in with a villain today,”
“Did you?” Damian asks, the two having avoided it in their conversation so far.
“Yeah, got an earful from Aunt Selina,” Marion laughs nervously.
“Did you get hurt?” Jason looks over Marion, concern written all over his face.
“What? No I’m fine thanks,” Marion smiles, Marinette rolled her eyes she stretches her leg to press to his bruised side, "Ow! Nette!"
"No lying," She shrugs as Marion turns to her. Cat-fred runs at the sudden movement, making Marion pout.
"Rich coming from you," He mutters, turing back to see the look on Jason's face, "My side just a little bruised, doesn't hurt unless someone, oh i don't know, kicks me!"
"I didn't kick you, you drama queen," Marinette sticks her tongue out at him and he copies.
“Did Selina train you?” Damian reverts the conversation.
“A little when we were younger, we still to spar together,” Marinette pretends to go for a kick to his side again, expecting the easy block.
"One of the few instances we're allows to punch each other," Marion jokes, "Although I think I'll hold off for now, you're not above using my injury to your advantage,"
"I'm resourceful," Marinette corrects, "Also, now you're hurt when you're afraid to get you're ass beat?"
"Such crass language, young lady," Jason teases, Marinette pokes her tongue out again.
"I can spar you if Marion is unwilling," Damian offers, Marion grumbles something along the lines of 'I never said that'.
"Right now?" Marinette sizes him up, she could tell he had some training.
"If you want," Damian also starts to size her up.
"Hold up now, you can't do this," Jason steps in, Marinette starts to deflate, "In here, Alfred would stop you, lets go outside,"
She perks up, following Jason, Marion and Damian outside to a clear area of grass. She toes off her shoes and socks, knowing they were steel capped and would cause some serious damage. She also pulls off her scarf, not willing to give him any advantage. Damian keeps his shoes on, clicking his tongue. They start to circle each other, waiting for someone to make a move. Marinette feels the grass beneath her feet, she feels more like Ladybug in a way.
Damian breaks the standoff, lunging at her. Marinette side steps at the last second, reminding herself to tone it down. She tries to make use of the opening by getting behind him, but Damian instantly pivots to keep her in front of him. Marinette takes note he's a lot faster than anticipated and decides to test it. She makes the next move forward throwing a few punches to see how he reacts. Damian easily dodges each one, Marinette realises that she is unprepared to fight someone smaller than her. They did occasionally have to fight Akumatised children but that was with superpowers. She had never actually gone hand to hand with someone smaller.
Taking this into consideration she adjusts to a style she uses more when sparring Marion. They're both about the same size and he's fast so she can rarely use his weight against him like she usually would. Marinette stops trying to get behind Damian, instead planning to send him to the ground, knowing she had the size advantage. Damian seemingly notices this change and adjusts his defences.
'how well is he trained?' Marinette asks herself. Damian tries to goad her into attacking, throwing out punches. Marinette doesn't rise to the bait, dodging and blocking. Marinette dances around their sparring area, testing Damian's stamina while waiting for an opening. She sees her chance and is about to move into counter attack.
"Damian!" They both pause looking toward the manor to see Bruce and Selina.
"Marinette! what do you think you're doing?" Aunt Selina storms towards them.
"Uh... bonding?" She laughs nervously.

Nightmares and Daydreams
A Gravity Falls AU.
Hi @verysorrytobother Stanticore anon, revealing my true identity to share this with you! I wasn’t sure how a post this long would go over as an ask, so I decided to do it this way. I hope this is ok.
I’ve been working on this for a while and I hope it goes over well enough. The artwork took me the most time.
As a car crash victim is slowly dying, her mental self panics in the mindscape. She's offered a deal to save her life. Let the game begin.
(Content warnings: Blood. Descriptions of serious injuries.)
"What..." she whispered to herself, staring at the other in disbelief.
"Yep!" he confirms, in a high-pitched, grating, inappropriately upbeat tone, "Dead as a doornail, kid!- Well technically you still have a few more seconds till you brain totally ceases to function. Better make up your mind while you still have one!"
She's still staring dumbly at him. How can he be this nonchalant about it?! A half second ago she was sitting in the front seat of the family truck, a totally routine trip to the store- she never liked trucks but her dad's a carpenter so they need the hauling space. At least it's a pretty shade of blue- and the next she's here, laying face down in a black void with this prick this- this...All Seeing Eye? He's like the Illuminati symbol, but with arms and legs and a top hat. Caution sign yellow and talking to her- or at her. Bill. Freaking. Cipher. Every time he 'speaks' he flashes with light- no mouth so does it really count as speaking? More like his voice is being projected right into her mind- ... And he's telling her that she freakin died! Can't he see how messed up this is?! Can't he sympathize at all!? Then again, it's Bill. She ought to know better.
She ought to know better. She's seen this show a hundred times, she knows nothing good comes from dealing with Cipher. But she doesn't have time to be careful, she doesn't have the luxury of weighing options.
"Tick-tock, Car Wreck!" The obnoxious voice insists again, forcing her out of her stupor, his outstretched hand now alight with blue fire.
Her face scrunches up in a loud cringe, eyes screwed shut and teeth bared, and she swings her hand till it lands solidly in his. Crazed cackling resounds as the deal is struck, but it falls to simple soundtrack as her senses try to sort out what's going on.
She'd expected the blue fire to burn, or at least feel like something, but it didn't. Instead her entire being is flung into a...whirl? Free fall? Something that makes her stomach jump into her throat, and gives her vertigo.
The sensation stops suddenly, only to be replaced by a cacophony of new perceptions. She isn't sure which strikes her first, the sounds or the smell. Shrieks of agony and terror make up the next track of this bizarre playlist, punctuated by the reek of burnt hair. When her eyes fly open to try and make sense of it all, they have no luck. The sight that meets her is a sky of surreal, swirling, bastardized ribbons of every hue, like being inside a filthy bubble. Floating strewn about the space are pockmarked asteroids, and little else.
"So what'd ya think?" The grating voice rejoins the discord, drawing her shell-shocked gaze. "Home-sweet-home, huh? Well don't worry, you won't be here for very long. A deal's a deal, Car Wreck." With that que, and a snap of his fingers, she's falling again. This time untethered and unaccompanied. It takes her a moment to realize the scream ripping though the void is coming from her own throat. Once it hits her, so does something else, and the world goes black.
She wakes some time later, maybe moments maybe days. She has no way of knowing. She pushes herself onto her hands and knees, groggy and disoriented. It takes her a moment to notice the texture under her hands and focus her vision on it. It's grass. She sits up and looks around. "oh..." she says to herself, taking in the scenery. It's lovely, a grassy, sun soaked field. The sky made of churning colors like the last place she'd been, but they're pastel and much prettier. A warm breeze brushes past her face and she takes a deep breath of it, it smells sweet and warm, heavy with the scent of growing things, and for the first time since this started she finds some peace. Peace which is quickly shattered by a familiar, grating voice.
She jumps and whirls around so quick she falls onto her butt. There, floating just inches from where her head had been, is Bill. Laughing at her of course.
"Whoops! Didn't mean to scare you there, Car Wreck!" he claims, moving through the air to look around, then turning back around to look at her. "So how do you like the new digs?"
There's a beat of silence where she just stares at him again, but quickly she shakes off the shock and tries to respond. "Uh...It's nice." She lets her eyes roam around for a second, before returning to Bill, "Where are we?"
"This is the Realm of Daydreams! Your new HQ!" he answers, floating around behind her and making a grand gesture with his arms.
She turns her head to follow him, "Daydreams? HQ?"
"Yep! This is where you'll hang out when you're not puppeting your little pawns." He turns around to look at the scenery more himself. "Kinda dull if you ask me. Maybe you can do something about that!"
"What are you talking about?"
"Oh you know, some pillars of anguish, an alter of unholy fire, maybe a blood fountain or a couple of-" he gestures with each suggestion, like a landscaper creating a vision, until she cuts him off.
"No I mean," she finally pushes herself to a stand, teetering a little till she finds her balance. "Pawns?"
He turns back to her, "Oh yeah, which ones do you want anyway?" he waits a beat for an answer, but she just stares back at him, clearly not following. "Ugh, our deal?"
He hadn't really told her what the deal was, just mentioned a game and a second chance. "Uhh, I don't think you-"
"Oh right, you flesh bags need everything explained to you." he groans, rolling his eye, "Alright, here's the deal. We're gonna play a little game," he holds out his hand and a little hologram like projection appears showing an aerial view of a town. "and the people of this hick town are gonna be the pieces." ten little blue stick figures appear in the center of town, each with a little symbol above it's head. "If you win, you rejoin the land of the living!" a little magenta stick figure pops into existence next to the others and they all do a little happy dance. "If I win..." suddenly the whole projection goes up in flames, and she jerks her head back instinctively, "You burn with rest of those worthless mortals!" He bursts into a fit of maniacal laughter, which actually gives her some times to recover.
After a second of shocked staring, she blinks a few times then puts on as neutral an expression as she can. "Ok. So what are the rules?"
"Simple!" he answers, cutting off his laughter "We can't directly manipulate each other's pawns, and we can't interfere with the other's powers."
"That's it?"
"Yep. Everything else is fair game"
"Ok...What are my powers?"
"Same as mine! Except you don't have to wait till someone falls asleep to get in their head."
"I see..." her eyes wander to the ground as she contemplates the information, and her hand reaches for the longest of her three necklaces to idly play with the spiked pendant. "So you can talk to them in dreams, and I can talk to them in daydreams."
"Bingo!"
She scrunches her nose a little, thinking of a few ways that could end up being annoying. "Alright, anything else I need to know?"
"Hmm, nope! That just about covers it. All that's left is to pick our pawns, I'll even let you go first!" And with that ten, glowing, blue symbols appear between them. She looks them over carefully, she knows who each symbol corresponds to- supposing the cartoon from her world is accurate. She considers the six-fingered hand, if she takes him out of Bill's control from the start that derails his whole plan as she knows it. But, then she'll have no clue what's up to at all, at least by letting Bill have the pawns she's familiar with she has a chance at guessing his moves. She reaches forward and touches the shooting star, it turns magenta and floats to hover closer to her.
"Interesting." Bill comments, though his tone doesn't sound very interested, as he makes a simple motion with his eye and the six-fingered hand settles beside him. She chooses the fish looking symbol next, and Bill's second choice in the pine tree. They go back and forth till they have five symbols each, Bill having the the six-fingered hand, the pine tree, the llama, the stitched heart, and the pentagram. While she has the shooting star, the fish, the bag of ice, the spectacles, and the question mark.
"Welp, that settles that. Nice picks you made there, lets hope they work out for ya, Car Wreck"
"Could you not call me that?" though it hardly sounds like a request.
"And what else should I call you?" Bill asks, collecting his symbols into one hand and placing the other on his...hip?
"How about my name? It's Maranwe."
"But Car Wreck fits you so much better! Just take a look!" he quips, snapping a full-length mirror into existence. Maranwe turns to look and gasps in horror. Bill breaks out into more cackling, "Well my work here is done! I'll let you get cleaned up, see ya around Car Wreck!" And with that he fades from existence.
Maranwe just stares, even as Bill disappears from 'her' realm, she can only stare at her destroyed refection. Her hair is messy- and she almost laughs that that's what her brain zeros in on first-, It's also dirty, some of the mess is actual dirt but several spots are matted with half-dry blood. Her face is in a similar condition, smeared with dirt and blood but she can see the wounds there. Scrapes and still oozing cuts, bruises forming on one cheek bone and under her eyes. Her nose isn't quite right...broken probably. Her vision skims over her whole body for a second, making note of similar injuries where tears in her clothes reveal them. It's not as bad as she would expect a car crash victim to look- "except for that" Her mind screams suddenly while all her mouth can do is gasp, as her attention lands dizzyingly on her neck. It's...purple, but also red? There's no spilled blood but it still looks ugly, and the worst part is the...bump. It's not hard to figure out that it's a misaligned bone. Without the pain to tell her she never would have noticed, her neck is broken. Very broken. How is she holding her head up right... Probably because this isn't actually a physical body. She wonders if this is what killed her, or if there's something inside, something she can't see, that did the trick.
Whatever it is, she can't be seen like this. And she really really doesn't want to look like this for her own sake. Bill said she could 'clean herself up'? How exactly... She thinks about how Bill's powers tend to work and tries to concentrate on a cleaner, less beat up mental image of herself. She lifts her hand to her cheek and grazes her finger tips across it, a trail of sparkles follow the touch and the skin underneath returns to normal. She relaxes a little, watching the disaster wipe off her face like cheap make-up. She keeps the image in her mind and closes her eyes, cupping her hands in front of herself and imagining the sparkles pooling in them. Then she splashes the sparkles over he face, like a girl in a face wash commercial, and imagines the glittering dust washing over her entire body, cleaning away the mess and injuries. And when she opens her eyes, that's exactly what's happened. Her reflection shows her whole and unwounded, even her clothes are fixed.
The next thing she does is smooth her hair down, mostly an instinct since it's still messy, and the sparkles trail after her hands, tidying the strands as if she'd just brushed them. She watches her reflection's mouth quirk up a little in a small smirk. So she can just change what she looks like by imagining it? That figures, this is a place of daydreams that's kind of how they work. She knows exactly what to do with this, she's known since she was a kid what she's change if she could. She places the backs of her hands next to her ears and flicks up, sparkles spray up with the motion and her normal human ears, turn to wolf ears the fur the same chocolate brown as her hair. Her smirk blooms into a full blown smile, and she tilts her head to get a better look at them, watching them move as she tests them. It's like they're real! Next is the tail of course, it's mostly brown, with some silver down the top and a black tip. Then she looks down, and taps the toe of each of her shoes against the ground in turn, as she does they become the compressed paws of her own design.
"That's insane..." she laughs to herself. She's actually turning herself into something else, her own made up alien species. And she just can! With the big changes out of the way she works out the details; pupil shape, fang length, and straightens out a few asymmetries and insecurities she's always had about her body- after all why not? When she's done, she can't help admiring herself a little, turning this way and that in front of the mirror, her perfect image of herself. Well- almost perfect. She snaps her fingers and in the same dusting of glitter, her shirt changes. What was before a loose grey t-shirt with the word "nope" written across it in cursive, as been replaced by a cropped sweater, banded in 3 colors; white at the top, then light blue, then dark blue. She lifts it to look at the crop top under neither, it's just plain white. She decides she doesn't like it that way, so it changes to a cropped version of the t-shirt she'd had before. With that taken care of she lifts her arm so the over-sized sleeve falls down and she can see her forearm, which is covered by a light blue arm warmer with white lace around the edges. Perfect. At least for now. She can change later if she decides she doesn't like the arm warmers.
She giggles to herself, invigorated by the makeover and the sense of control she has now. She turns from the mirror and skips a few feet across the grass, the symbols she'd chosen follow her, floating loosely like beads suspended in gel. She laughs a little as she watches them, and idly reaches for her necklace again, but this time her hand just meets the soft knit of her sweater. She'd forgotten to add them into this new look, so she just wills them into place; three different necklaces of three different lengths. Her hand finds the middle length first, the pendant is designed to spin so she plays with it while her mind starts to wander. She starts thinking of plans for winning this game, what she might say to each other 'pawns' and who to use where and how, even letter her thoughts wonder about the new life she'll have. Cipher's hologram suggested she'll stay in Gravity Falls, which would be cool but what about-
The sound of screeching tires and twisting metal cuts her thoughts off clean and she whips around to find the source of the noise, but her fear turns to confusion when she sees...nothing. She stands stock still, her mind running over only vague impressions of thoughts relating to what she just heard, until another loud sound whips her back around. This time she actually sees something, like a huge firework in the pastel oil-slick sky, accompanied by Bill's obnoxious voice echoing through the space.
"Let the game begin!"

Well, so far Grifter’s just been playing around. Now he’s going to start showing just what he can do and why he was locked up by the helsmits. ‘spoiler’: it involves tearing up the DSMP
@petrichormeraki and @helleborusangel (plz it’s been a week and a half, where are youuuuuu i worry)
“Where are you going?” Techno asked as Tommy put on his borrowed gear. It had still been left in a nearby chest when it was taken off, so it was easy to find.
“I’m going to help Grian.” Tommy answered, adjusting his elytra. “The more help he gets, the better.”
“What makes you think you can help? Or at least help out better than me.”
Tommy half shrugged, more focused on getting ready. “I probably can’t help better than you, but Grian’s out there so he can’t make a portal back to Hermitcraft. Meanwhile you managed to get there on your own. If Grifter is as bad as he sounds, we’ll need more help. I mean, we had some trouble taking you down, and he’s apparently worse.”
“So I’m just supposed to leave and get help?”
Tommy stood up, all his gear ready. “Yeah. One thing I learned from the hermits is that even if you’re good at one thing, you should try other shit. You’re good at combat, so now it’s time to try something else.”
“That’s stupid.” Techno huffed.
“Yeah, but it’s still a good lesson.”
Grum wriggled and escaped Techno’s arms. “I’m helping to!”
“No, you’re still damaged and also a fucking kid.” Tommy argued, but that just made Grum cross his arms.
“I have an advanced combat program plus a ‘chat’ that should be able to assist me. If Techno is getting help, he doesn’t need help getting help. So I’m helping my dad!”
Tommy tried to complain, but Techno stopped him. “I saw him in action. I’m pretty sure he’s better than you. Besides, you’re still technically a kid too.”
“”Hey! I’m a big man!”
“Sure, sure. Here.” Techno pulled out a netherite sword and axe, then handed them to Grum. “I’d give you my armor too, but I doubt it fits.”
“Someone’s got a favorite nephew~”
“Oh shut up.”
“We’ve got a plan! Let’s go!” Grum grabbed Tommy’s arm and started dragging him away in the direction Grian had gone. They only got a few steps before the ground shook from a large explosion. It made Tommy freeze before making sure Grum and Techno were okay, glad to see they were fine. At least, as fine as they had been.
“Okay maybe this is a bad idea.” Tommy tried once more to stop Grum, but the bot just pushed forward.
“Then I’ll just ask for an upper hand on the way there. But you are not changing my mind.” The bot crossed his arms, making Tommy sigh.
“Fine, but try not to get killed. You’re the one that can revive people.”
“If that is a concern, then here.” Grum tossed the revival book to Techno. “Keep that with you, and should I die and not be able to respawn, it can be used on me. The same goes for anyone else who may end up with the same problem.”
Techno hesitated before answering. “Alright fine, just don’t get Phil killed.”
“Not planning on it.” Tommy replied for Grum, and then the two of them were off.
.
.
.
Grifter twirled a finger and a spike of bedrock erupted from the ground, joining the others he had created. He frowned at how much energy it was taking, but at the very least, though it was slow, he was making a wall around the place. “There’s no way he can ignore this, right? Ugh, who am I kidding, I need Tommy first. Well, that should at least draw everyone else nearby so I should start to divide and conquer.”
Grifter pulled his wings in close, letting him start diving towards the ground. He kept his eyes out for anyone and then smiled as something caught his eye. Double checking that he still had enough magic disguising himself, Grifter changed his course and aimed for the elder avian he had spotted.
“Now let’s see, would he call him Dadza? Hmm, unlikely. Just Dad? Or maybe Phil? Nah, let’s just go with… Dad!” Grifter landed, making sure to be panting. “Are you alright? I saw those spikes appearing, and then saw you and-”
“I’m fine, just got split up from everyone else when one showed up underneath us. Tommy and Techno are with your kid, so you should probably go after them.”
Grifter held in a smile. Now he could find Tommy. “Where are they?”
“Bad’s mansion. At least assuming the place is still standing. It doesn’t look like these things have gotten that far but-”
“They haven’t, don’t worry!” Grifter smiled sweetly. “And thank you very much for the information! I’ll come back for you later I think!”
Before Phil could react, Grifter’s illusion disappeared as he used the magic to make a sphere of bedrock, trapping the avian within it. The Listener almost flew away right then, but then snapped his fingers. “There, now you shouldn’t try to get out.”
Inside the sphere, four end crystals had appeared. With the close quarters, Phil could barely move without setting one of them off, so he hugged the wall of his new prison, doing his best not to move.
Grifter flew up into the air and started looking around. “Mansion, mansion. Ugh, nothing looks mansion-y enough. Why can’t they make things bigger h- oh hello~” Grifter spotted the bright pink metal of Tommy’s sword from a mile away. Looking around more, it didn’t look like Grian was anywhere nearby, but he didn’t quite have the magic to spend yet. Instead, he circled high in the sky, watching the pair below him until he could disguise himself again.
It took a could of minutes, but finally Grifter had enough magic. The act he would put on would be easy of course, he just needed to act like a concerned parent, and he had seen Wile do that plenty. “What are you two doing?!”
“We came to help you out G.” Tommy replied, having nearly fallen over at the avian’s sudden arrival. “I would've thought you’d have gotten further.”
“He’s been using a lot of magic. There are these giant spikes of bedrock everywhere. I can’t get around safely with them showing up.” Grifter turned to look at Grum. “And what about you? You’re still hurt. You-” He didn’t have time to react as a sword sliced into him, hitting his arm.
“You’ll have to try better than that.” Grumbot looked up, revealing his screen which was picturing the symbol of the watchers, making Grifter take a step back. “You’ve still got scarlet wings. They’d be purple at this point.”
Grifter glanced back. His wings looked like Grian’s but he hadn’t realized that he ever changed how they look. Well, now that he needed the extra magic, Grifter let the illusion fade away. “Hmm, good eye. Well, I’ll just have to make this quick.”
The ground rumbled, and while he couldn’t make another spike, a sheet of bedrock divided Tommy and Eyes, splitting them up. Grifter grabbed Tommy’s arm and pulled him closer, ready to fly away with him when the bedrock broke. “Tsk, right. Watchers use bedrock too.”
“Watchers? So then-” Tommy started looking around for Grian, but instead, all he saw was Grumbot. “Wait, but- And he-? But how?”
“Who cares! I don’t need him.” Grifter shrugged, putting a sword to Tommy’s neck. “Let me leave and he won’t d-”
Eyes just threw a piece of bedrock at Grifter. “You want him alive, you’re not gonna kill him.”
Grifter frowned for a moment before smiling. “And you either don’t have magic or can’t use it. Hah, I didn’t even need to threaten him.” He spread his wings and held onto Tommy, Eyes running to try and grab them. But before the bot could reach them, Grifter was back in the air.
“Holy fuck! No no no no! This is so much worse than when Grian does it!”
“Oh shut up, I’m not going to drop you. Unless you keep struggling that is.” After Grifter had said that, Tommy froze up, leaving the Listener laughing. “Sooo… I’m hoping Nightmare will want to come after you, but others might as well. Who should I be looking out for?”
“Like I’d fucking tell yo- AHHHH!” Tommy started to say before he was falling, Grifter having let go of him. He was getting close to the ground when he was caught again, Grifter giving a chirping laugh. “Don’t fucking do that!”
“Then tell me what I want to know. It’s not that hard to comply, is it?” Grifter asked, threatening to drop Tommy again. “Oh, but that does remind me, I already took care of Dadza, or at least the one here.”
“You killed Phil?!” Tommy shouted. He would attack Grifter if he didn’t want to fall again.”
“Oh no, if he dies, it’s his own fault. I just trapped him for a bit.” Grifter explained, dipping just enough in their flight for the point of a bedrock spike to hit Tommy’s leg, making it bleed and Grifter laugh. “There, now you won’t be running away.”
“You’re a goddamn fucking bitch.”
“I know!” Grifter replied cheerily, a big smile on his face. “Oh look, we’re here!”
Tommy looked down to see Eret’s castle which was in the middle of the wall of bedrock spikes. The flag on top had been torn down and in place of the flagpole was some sort of giant redstone machine.
They landed nearby, Tommy being dropped before they touched down. It wasn’t enough of a fall to kill him, but it still hurt. Getting up also wasn’t the best because he couldn’t put much pressure on his leg, and even though he should be regening health, nothing was healing.
“You look tired.” Tommy recognized what was almost Mumbo’s voice. “Do you need help down to the throne?”
“I think your arms are the best throne for me~” Tommy tried not to gag at the flirting. “But I wouldn’t mind it. He’ll probably only believe what he sees with his own eyes and Tommy is definitely not Theseus. And I used so much magic making the wall.” Grifter pouted before Sense picked him up.
“Spare a little bit for a cuff for him and I can carry you down. The former king is currently occupying the cell I made. He’s much tougher than he looks. Related to Jhost of all people, or whatever he’s called here.”
Grifter frowned. “Aww, but that means we can’t kill him. That’s not fair.” He crossed his arms. “Okay, fine. I can still do that.” And then with a quick wave of his hand, some chains appeared and Tommy's good leg was trapped. He watched as the hels pair left, leaving him to try and break the metal, but he had no luck.
.
.
.
As soon as Grifter had gotten into the air with Tommy, Eyes started running behind them. They were slowly losing ground due to the uneven terrain tripping them up and the fact that Grifter had a clear path from flying. Eventually they lost the pair when they tripped and fell into a large crater, likely a creeper hole.
Eyes winced, holding the new crack on their body. It had formed right over the trident holes since they were already a weak point, and now that place was even more vulnerable. “Ah crap. Oh buzz off, last I checked it wasn’t a-” Eyes sharply inhaled as they stood up. “Fine, if you want to complain, you can come out here. Who cares if it isn’t healthy? We are currently in a life or death situation.” Eyes pulled themselves out of the hole, looking around. “He made a backup of the world, and those spikes in the distance definitely weren’t there a week ago. Grifter’s gonna destroy this place. We need to get Tommy and everyone else out of here before that happens. ...Oh shut up! I’m the one in charge of the Watcher powers. Well now I do know!!!”
Eyes huffed and kept walking towards the spikes. They were still a good number of chunks away, but at the very least they were good landmarks. They still had some redstone and quartz in their pockets to snack on, so running for a while wouldn’t be too much of an issue. It was still a little tough to get through the terrain. The closer they got to the spikes, the rougher it was. The place was already littered with bits of destruction, but there was more debris from the spikes bursting out of the ground, scattering dirt and rocks around the landscape. It also didn’t help that the spikes were casting large shadows. While the darkness didn’t reach them at this point, Eyes still had to be wary of creepers or any mobs that spawned with helmets.
They slowed down to munch on some quartz, using that as an opportunity to look at their surrounding. They were getting closer to the spikes, likely close enough they wouldn’t need to stop again before reaching them. Looking for a way through the spikes would be difficult though. Theoretically they could be climbed or have a gap between them, but that could still be difficult. And then breaking through wouldn’t be an option. The wall that split them from Tommy hadn’t even been a full block thick and had been tough to break. There was no way they could get through that much.
When Eyes got to the shadows, they froze from seeing just how many monsters were around. There was a larger group than should be normal. Normally the natural world magic that spawned monsters split equally around occupants of the world. If there were so many here, that meant plenty of people had died and didn’t respawn, which was unlikely, the only death message they had seen so far was for Eret. The other option was there were more people around, and likely people who could help get Tommy back.
Fighting through the monsters, Eyes looked around for who else could be around. When moving in one direction there were less monsters around, so they moved in the opposite direction, glad to see it was closer to the spikes and closer to their destination.
After a bit of searching, Eyes finally spotted someone. They sliced down a nearby skeleton before shouting to the other person and running towards them. “Heeeeey! Over here! Do you need some-” Eyes tried to jump over something, but midway through the jump, they started buffering, causing them to fall on their face as they landed.
The person they called out to immediately came over, fighting off the nearby mobs. “Oh my gosh, are you okay?”
“Uh… yeah.” Grum took the person’s hand and got up. “Um, I need some help. It’s about Tommy.”
.
.
.
Grian carefully snuck through the castle that was the center of all the magic. He was pretty sure it was a trap, there was no way someone like him would make something so obvious and not make it a trap, but it wasn’t like he had a better place to look.
There was also the problem of not knowing where he was going. Technically he could use some Watcher magic for the answer, but that wasn’t really an option. He hadn’t been a Watcher long before joining Hermitcraft, meaning he was inexperienced. It was why using his magic often left him with side effects other than just being tired. But his hels copy was using so much, it was obvious he was better trained.
Grian took a few more hesitant steps forward before stopping from a sound. It didn’t sound like someone walking or flying, but it did at the very least sound like someone was moving around. He took out a sword and slowly moved towards the noise, ready to attack whoever was there, when a head popped out of a newly made hole in the wall with a small oink.
The avian was stunned, not really moving as the baby ziglin pulled himself the rest of the way out of the hole before turning to look back inside it. A few minutes later, another head popped out as someone squeezed their way through the hole.
Grian ducked back when they started looking around. He of course recognized Tubbo since he was Tommy’s friend, but he wasn’t sure if Grifter had done anything to them. He had already seen what happened to Grum as well as that enderman hybrid. What was his name?
“Okay Ranboo, the coast is clear. Send it through.” Tubbo spoke into the hole, and a moment later, an ender pearl was thrown through, teleporting the enderman hybrid inside. Once he was in, Tubbo reached his arm through. “Okay, we’re through, take my hand and I’ll pull you in.”
Grian’s eyes widened as he watched Grum get pulled through the hole. His grip on his sword tightened as he could immediately tell the bot was in a worse condition than the last time he had seen him. He wanted to rush in there, but Grum was too close to the others as well as the ziglin, so he couldn’t really attack without harming the kids.
“Okay, so, I’m not sure where he’s gonna be. Does this place have a prison or something?” Grum asked, looking between Tubbo and Ranboo.
“Not as far as I’m aware.” Tubbo answered. “You probably would know better than me. I mean, I’ve technically been gone a month or something.”
“And my memory is too bad.” Ranboo replied with a shrug.
“Alright, I guess we’re going in blind…” Grum spoke timidly. “Do you at least sort of know what the place is like? I never really even got a chance to visit it.”
Tubbo looked around before pointing in Grian’s direction. “I think maybe we go this way?”
“No, entrance is that way.” Grian spoke up. He was almost completely sure that the group was safe, though he was still concerned about Grum having more injuries. That being said, the bot quickly ran over and gave him a hug when he showed himself. “Are you doing okay Grum?”
“Well, I got a little more hurt on the way here while fighting monsters, but I’m okay.”
“Yeah, none of us are regenerating health naturally.” Ranboo spoke up. “And I’ve tried to give him a golden apple, but he’s refused them.”
“Because I can’t eat them! I’m a robot, not a person.”
Grian frowned. “You are too a person. Just a robotic one. Doc and Biffa are people too.”
“I guess you’re right. It’s just different…”
Grian picked Grum up in his arms. “Well, we can talk about that more when you’re not in danger.” Then he looked up at the rest of the group. “Now, why are you all here?”
“Apparently Grum and Tommy were on their way to find and help you, but the fake you kidnapped him.” Tubbo explained, which made Grian angry.
“That’s going to make things tougher if he’s got a hostage. Especially if it’s Tommy.” Grian ruffled his wings and shifted Grum so he could rub his chin. “I would say split up to cover more ground, but Grifter seems to be a powerful magic user. I mean, he’s the one who summoned those spikes. It also looks like he brought Sense along and from what Jrum’s told me, he’s almost as dangerous with his redstone. If any of us ran into even one of them alone, it would be bad news, so we’ll have to stick together.”
The rest of the group nodded and Grian started to lead them down the hall. With a whole group, he could probably use a little bit of magic, at least to see where Tommy was. It wouldn’t tell him how to get there, but a general idea of which direction to go would help. For a moment, another pair of eyes appeared, and then the world faded slightly, only the outlines of objects showing themselves. Grian looked around, not seeing Tommy, but then he looked up.
“It looks like Tommy’s on the roof or the floor below it. It looks like Sense is nearby while Grifter is elsewhere. There’s also a fourth person around, but they’re not someone I recognize.”
“Well then, let’s start heading up.” Ranboo said, Tubbo nodding as he picked up Michael, and then the group continued on to find Tommy.

Death Of Me Chapter 7
DO NOT STEAL MY WORK
Song: Helium- Glass Animals (IYKYK 💙💚) "This is the stupidest drawing in the world. Who drew this?" I laughed looking at Kiara.
"Who do you think?" She looked over at Pope.
"Kie, your plan better work because there is no way we can pawn these off with a symbol on it." JJ walked over tossing the gold in front of us.
"It's gonna work." She held up a blow torch.
I helped JJ set up the pot where we would melt off the wheat symbol.
Once the gold was melted down we all hopped in the van and headed towards the local pawn shop.
"Hell of a job melting it down, Dr.Frankenstein." JJ hopped out of the van looking at the poorly melted glob of gold.
"Like you could have done any better?"
"I could have done much better, I took a welding class"
"When?"
"Guys chill, all that matters is that the wheat symbol is gone." I tried to mediate the situation
"Easy for you to say. You're not the one that has to pawn this piece of shit off." JJ held up the gold.
"How did I get this job anyway?"
"Because you're the best liar." Pope said as we headed inside.
===
"Afternoon ma'am" JJ took his cap off.
"Afternoon."
"I see you buy gold." He took off his backpack, the rest of us pretended to look around the store.
"That's what the sign says don't it?"
"Well, I sure hope you buy a lot of it, because I'm about to blow your mind." He pulled it out.
"I ain't got much mind left to blow, so have at it kid."
"How 'bout them gold apples." he set it down in front of the store clerk.
"That ain't real." She chuckled
"That ain't real?" JJ repeated her.
"Feel how heavy it is."
She struggled to pick it up and grabbed her magnifier glass and looked closely as if she was examining every inch of it.
"Spray painted tungsten." She looked at him
She grabbed a hammer and hit a corner of it.
"If that wasn't real gold would you dent it that easily ma'am?" JJ questioned her judgement.
"Hold your horses." She put on her glasses
After bickering back and forth she put it on a scale.
"Seven pounds thats a lot of earrings." She didn't believe his lie.
JJ went on about how his mom had 'alzhimers', trying to gain sympathy from her.
She walked away to go get someone from the back.
"Alzhimers? Are you kidding me JJ?" I questioned his lying capabilities. "What? Got me out of many detentions so why not try it now?"
The owner came back out and started talking prices with JJ I kind of zoned out looking at 'Vintage Jewelry' with Sarah.
Before I knew it we were headed to the pawn stores warehouse to get the money.
"JJ, How in the world did you get away with an Alzheimer's lie?" I laughed.
"Listen man, we got the money didn't we?"
Suddenly we heard the sounds of police sirens telling us to pull over.
As we were trying to stash the gold someone pointed a gun at John B, Unfortunately I knew exactly who this was.
We all carefully did as instructed lying down on the ground while he went through the van.
John B got up and quickly ran to Barry's car grabbing the car keys and waiting till Barry got back in the car, strangling him getting back the gold he took. JJ ran over to help him get the gold back. While they were throwing punches I scooped up the gold from the passenger's seat and ran back to the van.
"I got it! Come on."
"Wait." JJ pulled down his mask.
"I know this piece of shit!" JJ couldn't believe it
"He's a base head."
"Probably knows my brother." Sarah panted.
"He does."
"He sells coke to my dad." JJ squared up.
"Mrs. Country Club!" Before Barry could finish speaking, JJ punched him.
"Let's go see where this son of a bitch lives?" JJ started walking.
"I'm gonna remember this shit!" Barry threatened.
=== "I should get back to my place, I'll see you later JJ." I hugged him tightly.
After I let go I walked back into my house to see the boys hanging out outside.
"Hey!" I greeted them
"There you are! I was wondering where you went?" Rafe hugged me kissing the top of my head.
"Rafe Cameron!" I heard Barry pull up out front.
"Fuck!" I ran inside to my room, opening the window so I could hear their conversation.
"What are you doing here man? Are you good?" Rafe asked, pulling him over to the side.
"No, I aint good man."
"Alright what happened."
"Why's your family think I'm just some bitch they can shit on?" Barry asked. "First your dad kneecaps me in my house, then I have to deal with your sister and your girlfriend breaking into my house and stealing my shit." He got upset.
I saw Topper's face change, he looked up at me and I felt my heart drop.
"My little sister, Robbed you?" Rafe asked.
"Yeah, Sarah, Demi, and their surfer rat friends stole 25k from me! That is why I'm here."
"Demi wouldn't even pick up a dollar off of the streets." Rafe defended me.
"Sort this shit out or I will! And I wont be nice about it." He barked.
"What are you gonna do?" Topper asked.
"I don't know? That's not my problem." Rafe chuckled.
"Hey, That's Demi we are talking about." He reminded Rafe.
=== I ran over to the Camerons where Sarah and John B were
"We gotta go, Like now! Barry came over to my house and told Rafe about everything, Rafes coming to get you." I explained out of breath.
We quickly left the lot as soon as we could. We made it about five minutes out when Rafe pulled us over.
"Let me handle it, Sarah, come out when you think it's necessary." I hopped out.
"What the hell is wrong with you?" I stomped over.
"There she is!" He took his helmet off.
"Hello? Are you high?" I asked
"Damn it Rafe, we could have run you over."
"I just heard about your little home invasion!" He scoffed.
"What are you talking about?" I acted clueless.
"What would your father, the sheriff, say if he knew you were robbing dealers?"
I heard Sarah step out of the van.
"And you! What would our dad say?" he pointed at her.
"I don't know. You could tell him if he didn't kick you out." she snapped back.
"Listen Demi, I try to take care of you."
"That's a lie" I laughed.
"Who's ungrateful, as always, listen, the guy that you robbed is a bad man, Demi."
"Yeah, I'm aware, Rafe!"
"Listen! He gave me this, okay?" He showed me his arm.
Suddenly Topper decided to show up.
"You take care of your shit, I'll take care of mine!"
"I"m taking care of my shit! Listen Demi, One day I'm gonna be running the show, for us because I love you!"
"A-and I don't like it when we fight." He pulled me in for a hug.
"We will talk about this later."
=== Later That Day === I decided to go and see what JJ was doing because I was bored, oddly I showed up at the house at the same time as Kiara and Pope.
"Hey, what are you doing here?" Kiara asked, giving me a hug.
"Checking in on JJ, he had a rough day."
All of a sudden fairy lights come on.
"Where did that come from?" We went to the back of the house to find out.
As we got closer we saw a drunk JJ sitting in a brand new hot tub popping a cork off of a champagne bottle.
"What did you do? JJ." Pope asked.
"I got a jet going straight in my butt right now." He laughed.
"Y'all should get in here immediately. Especially you Demi, you look hot in a bathing suit."
"Salud!" He held up a plastic champagne glass that was in a flamingo drink floatie.
We just looked at eachother confused about the sudden change in JJ.
"JJ? How much did this cost?" I asked.
"Uh...With the generator, the petrol, and oh, hey, express delivery I'd say...pretty much all of it. Yeah." He chuckled as if this was a joke.
"All of it? You spent all of it. In one day?" I replied.
"Yeah, I burned a hole right through my pocket."
I stepped closer to JJ
"But, I mean ,like, come on, guys, like, look at this!" He showed it off.
"Finest in jet-based massage therapy, that's what they told me."
I just stared at him.
"Demi, what? Can't a man have a little luxury in his life? Come on, all this scrimpin' and scrapin'... I mean, like...guys, we-- you only live once, right? Enough of this emotional shit. Get in the Cat's Ass. Come on." He gestured us over.
"In the what?" Kie finally spoke.
"The Cat's Ass. That's what I named her."
"Oh, hey, yo I almost forgot." He flipped a switch causing a disco ball to light up and spin
"Yeah, that's right, I know. Disco mode."
"Are you kidding me! You could have given it for restitution!" Pope yelled
"Or any charity!" Kiara chimed in.
"Or better yet, you could have helped us buy supplies." Pope threw out another suggestion.
I could see him break.
"Ok, you know what, I didn't do that! I got a hot tub!" He stood up. I saw the bruises on his body making me feel sick.
"For my friends." He cried.
"I got a hot tub for my friends, you know what screw friends. I got a hot tub for my family."
I slipped off my shoes and got in with him, wrapping him in my arms as he cried out.
"I can't do it! I can't take him anymore!"
"It's gonna be okay." I kissed his shoulder while his face was nuzzled in the crook of my neck.
Soon Kiara and Pope joined in on the hug.
"I love you JJ." I whispered in his ear.
"I love you too Demi."

The Topic of Gender Identity - JM Focus
So. This is something that I’ve gotten asked about a few times since people became interested in my analyses. And it’s something I’ve always avoided answering because it seems to me that the topic of gender is way more touchy than the topic of sexuality.
I’m also the sort of person who doesn’t like people talking about things without some form of experience on the topic. I can talk about how I see the potential of someone being gay because I’m gay. I know what it’s like to be gay. I know what it’s like to be afraid for people to find out that you’re gay (passed that, but been there). Someone who isn’t gay and never questioned it wouldn’t have any idea what it’s like.
As someone who has struggled with gender identity myself, I’ve decided that I’ll talk about this. I’d say that I have a controversial opinion on this topic, but no matter what you say about gender identity, one person or another is going to think it’s controversial. So, really, everyone has a controversial opinion on the topic. As it is not my intention to offend anyone, I decided to share that controversial opinion. Anyway. Read on if you can handle someone talking about their opinion without getting riled up that it might be different than yours, and if you’re curious about my thoughts on the topic. If not. Move on. (BELOW THE CUT)
So. Let me start by putting in the “short story” of my gender identity, so you kind of get the idea where I’m coming from when I state my opinion on this topic. You can skip this to the part where I start talking about Jimin, but I just wanted to add this in here so you have an idea of where I’m coming from.
Currently, I identify as a cis-female lesbian, but it took me a long time to accept myself as a female. Honestly. When I was a child, I was more okay with the fact that I liked girls than the fact that I was a girl. Liking girls never felt wrong to me. Liking girls as a girl is what felt wrong. I don’t know if that makes sense, but I know how I felt.
I was what they called a “tom-boy” back in the day. I’m not sure if that term is offensive now? But I always related with the label for some reason.
My parents have a lot to do with my current view on gender identity. My mom told me when I was a little baby, my favorite color was pink. It’s currently pink. She said that once I started learning the names of colors and that they had “genders”, I took a hard turn to the color blue. I pretended that blue was my favorite color for a big part of my life, throughout high school, because I didn’t want to be associated with the “girly” things.
I also liked Hotwheels as child. I was obsessed with cars. This is something I was genuinely interested in, and not just because I wanted to distance myself from girly things. At McDonald’s they often have “boy toys” and “girl toys”. I also have one brother and two sisters. When my mom took us to McDonald’s, she’d always say she wanted “two hotwheels and two barbies”. If the checker ever said “girls and boy toys” my mom would again specify hotweels and barbies. Because she didn’t understand why they were “girl and boy toys”. As a child, I was changing her perspective on gender.
We used to go to Christmas parties when I was a kid, and Santa would always hand out presents to the kids. It always seemed they gave the boys certain toys, and the girls always got dolls or doll related things. So I started to hate going to these Christmas parties. I also question why Santa didn’t buy me the gifts I wanted. He was supposed to know what every child wanted. One year, my mom talked to the people who decided the gift buying, and they got me a giant collection of hotwheels. This Santa became my favorite.
Anyhow. I always wanted to be my dad’s son. I wanted to him to play sports with me and grill with him like he would do with my brother. When I showed more interest in those things than my brother did, he started doing them with me instead. I’d help him build things. I’d play sports with him. And we always grilled together. Until I got older and started going through the inevitable changes that every girl goes through. He stopped treating me like a son and started treating me like a daughter, and it really upset me that my dad’s whole attitude toward me would have changed like that. So I started hating being a girl even more.
Anyway, long story short (believe me, there’s a lot more to this story, but this is a Jimin focus. Not a Koala focus). I eventually came to accept that I was a girl, and actually like feminine things. But, at the same time, I actually like masculine things, too. Coming out to my family as gay really allowed me to express my gender identity more. And I think it’s funny because they often point out how I became more feminine after coming out when many females do it the opposite. I explained to them that I always wanted to be “straight” and like girls, but when I fully accepted myself as gay, I fully accepted myself as female, too.
That being said, I didn’t give in to gender norms or anything like that. I just stopped pretending to hate all feminine things for the fear of being “too much of a girl” to like girls. Pink is my favorite color, but I’ll take the whole fucking rainbow any day. I love hotwheels, and I know more about cars than most modern boys do. I know about computers, and I love math. I absolutely love playing sports (I don’t like watching them so much). I love high fantasy, and I love playing d&d with my friends. But I also love sitting down to a nice romantic movie every now and then. I play all kinds of video games from fps to dress up games, and I love the fact that I don’t have to be apologetic about any of it. I can fix my own kitchen sink and give you tips about how to get stains out of the carpet. I still hate dolls, and they are fucking creepy to me.
I can accept the term bigender for myself, but I label myself as cis-female. Because I don’t want society to tell me that “feminine” things are for girls and “masculine” things are for boys. And tell me how I need to identify because of my like or distaste for either. I don’t mind “feminine” and “masculine” labels, but I don’t think it should determine how much of a “boy” or “girl” you are. I know that people identify as trans and anywhere on the spectrum for reasons that go beyond that, and that’s fine. My story goes far beyond that as well, but that’s pretty much my main focus that brings me to this point.
So. Let’s talk about Jimin now.
IN RELATION TO JIMIN
So, I’ve had exactly one ask that wanted to know if I would refer to Jimin as “they” instead of “he” because we don’t know how he identifies, but I think that can be true for anyone. Just because JK presents himself as more masculine with the fact that he works out and is a “boy” boy, we can’t presume that he identifies as a cis-male. Even if he likes all masculine things, and there’s nothing feminine about him (which isn’t true, but even if it was), we can’t just assume that he identifies as cis-male and is totally comfortable in his 100% male role. So the fact that this seems to come up mostly in relation to Jimin kind of proves how it’s a societal “masculine” and “feminine” thing when it comes many people’s view on gender identity.
I’ve also had a lot of people come to my inbox and talk about how they don’t see why people question Jimin’s gender. “He’s not feminine at all.” And, let me just say that he really is, and I don’t think it would offend him for me to blatantly state that. When he first debuted, he really tried to present himself as masculine, and he wanted to be seen as a “strong/real man.” But he’s eased himself into what he’s more comfortable with, and he, himself, talks about this transformation. How he doesn’t have pretend anymore, and he can just be who he is. And that’s a wonderful thing. And him talking about it the way he does (I’d love to go back and find examples, so people share links if you have any otherwise it’s going to take me ages to source this) kind of tells me that he wants people to realize his transformation. That he is so unbothered by both his feminine and masculine traits that he isn’t bothered if people see him more one way or the other.
Let me bring up Jimin’s bigender tattoo, if you will. (x) Well, it’s not really a tattoo, and more of a drawing. It wasn’t permanent, but still. I’ve had a few people argue that it’s not the bigender symbol because of both extensions pointing straight instead of the masculine symbol being at an angle (x), but seeing as how I don’t know of any other symbol it could be, I’m going to assume that it was meant to be the bigender symbol.
Does this tattoo mean that he identifies as bigender? I’m leaning toward yes, but I’m also going to have to say that it doesn’t confirm anything. We don’t know the reason behind the tattoo unless Jimin tells us himself, and we don’t know the reason it was altered with both extensions being aligned instead of the way the actual symbol looks (if that detail is significant in any way).
Again, I’m leaning toward a strong possibility of him identifying as bigender because BTS are pretty socially aware, and I’m sure he knows what the symbol means. There could be a list of other reasons as to why he decided to use the symbol, so we’ll never know the truth unless he tells us.
I will say that, similar to how I think TH mentioning the Christmas song to us was to see how we’d react to the idea of him singing a romantic song with a boy, I think that Jimin putting that tattoo on his arm was to raise a similar kind of topic. I think he wants people to discuss and question his gender identity. And I think anyone who has come out to their family, friends, and societies would get the same idea. Because it’s a process, and this seems like a step in the process.
I’d often talk about how I loved it when people would mistake me for a boy, and how disappointing it was when someone would be quick to correct them. I’d talk about how being a “girl” is exhausting and how I wish I could flip a switch and be a “boy”. I’d question my parents about how they’d feel if I brought a girl home. I’d use gender neutral pronouns while talking about people I was interested in. I’d question if it was weird to want to hold hands with my best female friends. And the list goes on.
The tattoo seems like a step in a process. Maybe he’s not trying to come out, but maybe he wants us to be talking about it. I don’t think we should just assume that he’s bigender because of it (the same way we shouldn’t just assume TH is gay for Christmas song talk), but I don’t think people need to be so quick to shut the idea down. Because it’s possible that he might not identify as cis-male, and to shut down a piece of evidence like a bigender drawing on his arm is to shut down a pretty strong piece of evidence. That tattoo was drawn on Jimin for a reason because it’s supposed to mean something. Until we know what that something is, there is absolutely no harm in us fans talking and wondering about his identity. As long as we don’t shove it in Jimin’s face and demand that he talks about it. Let’s wonder together. Among ourselves.
As for which pronouns to use when talking about Jimin, until he says anything official about his identity, I think “he/him” pronouns are fine. If you want to call him “they/them”, I think that’s fine, too. I won’t simply because I only like to use “they/them” if I’m intentionally trying to be neutral or if an individual specifically requests to be addressed as such, but I don’t see the harm in anyone else doing it. I think going as far as using “she/her” could be a little too much and a little too presumptive. I’m not the sort to get offended by any type of pronouns. I identify with them all, but that’s not true for everyone. And it might not be true for Jimin. So I think it’s best to stick with “he/him” or “they/them” because they’re the most gender neutral terms.
And yeah. “He/him” is more gender neutral than “she/her”. And, even if you don’t think so, “he/him” are the terms we use to refer to biological males without knowing anything about their personal identity. I don’t think it’s “assuming he’s cis until he says otherwise.” This is just as harmful as “assuming he’s straight until he says otherwise.” Because, for me at least, “he/him” is referring to the only thing I know about his gender/sex until he confirms otherwise, and that’s the biological part of his gender/sex. It’s not me saying “Oh, I think he’s definitely cis unless he says he’s not”. Because I’m leaning more toward the “not” part of that, but the only thing I can confirm is that he is biologically male. He wouldn’t be in BTS if he wasn’t.
Bringing it back to the first point I mentioned, we can’t assume a gender identity onto any of them. Jimin brings up more questions not because of his “feminine” side, but because of that bigender symbol. But it doesn’t mean that he identifies that way, and it doesn’t mean none of the other members do.
Like I said. I was hesitant about making this post and avoided asks about this topic for a long time because people get more defensive about gender identity than sexuality, but I wanted to talk about this. Because regardless of how offended people get about this topic, I think it’s something we shouldn’t be afraid to discuss.
