I never leave mlm groups I get invited to on fb, and I’m sure the people who start the groups are really annoyed and confused by why I stay despite never contributing or buying anything, but the thing is I just find it so interesting to observe how these people peddle their wares
#there’s this one group i’m in currently that’s a scentsy group. my best friend added me to it because she’s a bleeding heart#she ‘doesn’t support mlms’ but ‘buys from these people to help them out’ and i’m like.. you are doing the opposite of helping them#but anyway. this group is run by a girl we were friends with in secondary school#and idk i just find it kind of fascinating because i can always ALWAYS tell when she wrote her posts vs when her upline or someone else#in the company wrote a post lol#basically if everything is spelled correctly and there are no typos it’s not her#i also tend to notice if someone else wrote the post it’s a lot more upbeat and there’s more technical language in the post#i also sometimes see a weird tonal shift. it’ll be like ‘the whatever bar is fragranced with freesias; coconut and balls to evoke a summer’s#day ✨’ and then there’s a random aside from this girl like ‘omg sounds lush right?????’#no liz i’m not even sure what that would smell like. and why is it blue. you know and i know and we know none of those things are blue#i also really like how her approach to marketing is sometimes to be absolutely honest even if it kind of makes the products sound garbage#which.. don’t get me wrong i love some transparency#but i feel like that approach is better if you’re reviewing something rather than selling it. like as your livelihood#for example she reviewed a bar recently that’s called espresso something and said ‘it doesn’t smell like coffee. i like it.. i don’t love it#okay and you’re trying to get me to buy this?? girl.#i mean i guess it comes off less fake than if she loved EVERYTHING but lots of the times when she doesn’t write the posts#everything is like ‘this is the best product EVER’ ‘new and exclusive’ ‘can’t miss this sale’ etc#so it just drives home that that stuff is fake. whilst in reality this person doesn’t recommend some of these products#i also don’t love seeing her in real time spending her actual money on this garbage but that’s just me#i spend a lot of my time wondering how do people in mlms keep up with it? that’s the one thing that makes me doubt if everybody is losing#money. because if you lose.. for example £5k to an mlm; how did you GET 5k to spend on the mlm in the first place#i don’t even have 5k to begin with. it doesn’t make sense to me#is it all just credit card debt? or do people make a little cash and then immediately blow it on those same products. and if so WHY#so that’s my long winded rant about why i stay in these groups lol#honestly it’s not even entertainment at this point. i just want to see if she’ll ever leave#personal

can i talk my shit for a moment?
i've been thinking about enhypen a lot, i actually do on a daily because i have a problem but that's a story for another time, and every time i think about certain types of "engenes" i get so, so mad and just as sad and frustrated because we're literally witnessing the way enha as a whole are slowly losing the recognition and attention for their talent because the focus is slowly shifting towards their visuals and their fan service.
i can't even explain why this makes me so mad and maybe i'm just a baby engene who's a little sensitive and protective but it's just so frustrating to see people praise enha for their visuals and fan service only when they're so, so much more.
don't get me wrong, PLEASE praise your fave for their visuals, they're the hardest on themselves and the kpop industry is so visual focused, it'll do wonders to their self confidence and esteem to hear how much their fans love their looks and styles and visuals.
it's the fact that at this point i barely ever see anyone praise any member for their actual talent. maybe i'm on the wrong side of the fandom but whenever the boys are done with a performance, they go viral for their visuals and not the actual effort, energy, time and attention they put into that performance.
seeing the comments being full of people who only praise one thing about the members is just so..heartbreaking considering just HOW hard they've worked to be where they are.
they have received titles during i-land and are still standing up to those and the high standards everyone has set for them, so seeing their fan service being what gets people into the fandom makes me so sad.
heeseung is a fucking ace, mans can sing, dance, produce, rap – he's literally known for his immense talent yet his biggest headlines somehow always included his visuals, especially with the whole nose implant shit. yes, his fan service is top tier but he's more than that short flirty moment and i hate seeing people praise him for it.
jungwon keeps on showing everyone what a good lsader he is, that he actually deserves his title as the hidden ace but people never ever give him credit for what matters. that guy loves his fans so, so much he spends hours on weverse to chat and respond and always updates us on what's going on. he's so csring and sweet and yet ever since he's become an adult its yet again, just about his looks.
i don't even wanna talk about sunoo because his situation makes me SO mad in a way i can't explain at all. that fucker is so fucking talented and so gifted, he's literally worked his ass off all these years just for people to go around and go omg he's so pretty!!! and that's it. he's not just your little mlm projection since most engenes love to label him as such, he's so much more and deserves to be treated like the talented idol he is.
sunghoon is also of that category because tell me why people have made his visuals hs only personality when he literally was told he was born to be on stage. every single performance, every single song, every single tour night he gives his everything because he knows he's good but he wants to show the world that he's more than a pretty face. i wish people would just see his talent and dedication for once instead of his eyebrows.
jay is also a topic i dont even wanna talk about anymore because the treatment he's been receiving all these years from his own "FANS" is so embarrassing and heartbreaking. i have never, ever watched a performance where that fucker didn't give 150% of his energy and power, his dedication is so impressive and something to admire. he's not just your fashion icon with a pretty face and a sharp jawline, i might upset some of y'all, but he's just as much of an ace as heeseung to me and i wish people saw that.
riki literally left his home country when he was a child and was called the dance prodigy, became a member in the official line up at the age of 14 and yet people will literally do nothing but praise his visuals. that fucker came okt of his mama dancing and people dare to argue whether or not he's as good as engenes make him to be what the FUCK? ppl need to stop focusing on his face and actually look at him as a whole when they watch him bc how could we ever argue about his talent???
jake had a dream and an opportunity and that fucker took. it. he literally only trained for six months and now his dance challenges with other idols are some of the most viewed ones on social media. he's a pretty face and the biggest flirt ever, he loves his dans and doesnt hesitate to show it but i wish people would actually see how hard he works and how far he's come. he was never bad but he's literally at such a high level right now when it comes to his skills and stage performances, i feel like people just love to ignore that aspect of him bc of his intense fan service.
i can't believe i spent 10 minutes writing this but its been on my mind for so long and i really hope we as engenes can actually sit our asses the fuck down and start showing those boys and their talent the love and appreciation they deserve. they are a group of visuals, yes. no doubt. but they were also chosen to be in this group bc of their talent and their skills.

I'm autistic and I'd like to hear your opinion. My special interest is parts of true crime. I don't spend time on true crime community, but I watch videos and documentaries and listen to podcasts. When I mentioned my special interest on online group, someone said their friend got murdered and that they don't understand why some people are into true crime. Now I feel very guilty. I don't idolize violent criminals, I despise people who do that. That's the reason why I don't spend time on true crime community. I think I watch and listen to true crime for the same reasons why I used to watch horror films. I don't even bring true crime up in real life conversations if I sense the person is very sensitive. Am I an awful person when I have true crime as my special interest?
True crime is very popular - that's why so many documentaries, books, podcasts, etc exist! I don't think that many people can be awful people?? Or that an interest in true crime can automatically mean that someone is an awful person. Lots of people who are interested in crime use that for good (whether that's attempting to solve murders, or warning people about scams, or perhaps trying to learn enough to keep yourself safe from people who might try to exploit you). For example, one of my big interests with crime is actually scams and I am fascinated by learning what different scams exist, how they work, what they 'look like', and it makes me feel safer because I feel I'm better prepared to avoid them (and can also share information with people that I worry about, like my parents, who are quite vulnerable to these sorts of things). I think scammers are abhorrent, I would never want to scam another person, yet I am fascinated by scams and will watch any documentary I come across that focuses on any kind of scam or deceit, cults, MLMs, factitious disorder, etc. I think that when people hear 'true crime' they assume it's a fascination with serial killers, or violent crime in general, when true crime covers a lot of different kinds of crimes! It often seems that people tend to assume that any interest is somehow 'sick' in nature (voyeuristic and gleeful or something), and that possibly is the case for a minority, but I think that for the majority it is just a natural and normal interest. Also, most people want the crime to be solved, and want to know that the perpetrator faced justice. Or will also be interested in situations in which the system has failed, or been unfair. There are many aspects that aren't anything to do with the 'gory details' that people can be interested in. Also the thing you mention about horror films - there's a book called The Science of Fear by Margee Kerr, which I think kind of touches on why this appeals to us. Watching scary films or having controlled scary experiences (roller coasters, haunted houses) is often a way of working through fear, and can actually be good for us (because we've faced something scary and survived it). I think we can get the same kind of feeling from reading fictional horror stories and watching horror films... so I wonder if we can get this to some extent from nonfiction as well - when watching a documentary or listening to a podcast, we aren't being faced with the actual crime, we're hearing other people discuss it, we're seeing snapshots and reenactments rather than having to witness the actual horrors. So we might feel uncomfortable, disturbed, we might think about what we'd do if in that situation (without having to actually experience it). Maybe we hear about these awful things and for some people to work through that recognition of how awful things can happen to people, we focus on it and want to know more (whereas some people tend to prefer to blot it out and not to think about it, because we all deal with things differently). Often true crime can involve 'puzzles', figuring out the clues (or having it all explained to you so that you understand how it was worked out and that kind of thing is just very interesting a lot of the time!). So I don't think there's anything wrong with being interested in true crime, even violent crime/murder (or even the gory bits, to some extent - being interested in something isn't the same as condoning it or celebrating it). Learning about crimes that have happened does nothing to harm anyone, and it sounds like you're mindful of how your interest might impact on another person (upsetting someone who has been the victim of/knows someone who was the victim of a violent crime/murder, or who might be more sensitive just because they find any discussion of true crime disturbing).
If you find any of my posts helpful, please consider tipping.

HELLO AGAIN
i am once again bored and plaguing you with my awful existence to ask you dumb questions:
if you were to get into a war on twitter what would it be about? (the more specific and detailed of an answer you give the better)
very sorry that i do this and annoy you - aware that i mildly suck lol :)
ENJOY YOUR DAY GO OUT THERE AND BOTHER PEOPLE YOU DESERVE TO TAKE UP SPACE AS MY FUCKING AWESOME TUMBLR MUTUAL AND FRIEND :)
Hello again to you too
STOP BELITTLING YOURSELF. You will never plague me and your existence is the complete opposite of awful. I love talking to you and answering /asking you questions (I honestly need to start plaguing your inbox more, I'm truly sorry I haven't done it as often as I should).
That's a tough one... I think maybe something to do with the lack of sapphic rep in media? I don't know how much of a war it would be though, I just have a lot I could say about it.
Like I'm truly happy that mlm people have so much representation, but why must wlw people have to watch as decent sapphic shows get cancelled after one season? I'm not saying it should happen to mlm media, I just wish it was more equal. Why aren't there more sapphic books getting adapted into film and TV? Why are sapphic characters always getting overlooked in media or ignored? Why are there very little sapphic coming of age films? Why can't we see our experiences on screen too? Why is it that often in mainstream media sapphic characters are used just to check a box instead of actually developing the characters?
I feel the same for all identities to be honest - not just queer ones - because there is a severe lack of decent representation in the media, and it's fucking tiring at this point. Like it's 2024 for fuck sake but whenever there is representation for a minority group, it's just for the sake of representation rather than the people actually spending the time to enrich the characters and give them actual personality traits and it pisses me off intensely. But hey, instead they just continue to keep making remakes of things no one asked for, and repeating the same story lines that have been told a million times before when there are so many wonderful stories that haven't been told yet. (I'm aware each take on a plot will always be ultimately different, but realistically they all just copy off each other and blur into one because of repeatedly flat characters and dead dialogue).
To me it seems like most of the TV industry seem to be so scared of their show getting canned that they end up rushing character development and scenes so they end up ruining the plot entirely in the end which saddens me greatly.
Sorry for the rant, I don't know if it has the level of detail you were asking for but it was something, I guess.
And please don't apologise! You do not annoy me at all and you definitely don't suck. Thank you for asking me this :) but what about your answer @justquietcorners?
You're too kind, but thank you (though I didn't really do that much — I'm as social as a bloody rock). But please do the same, my fucking amazing tumblr mutual and friend :)

Is Prosperity Of Life A Scam?
I’m sure you’ve heard of Prosperity Of Life. Maybe you’re wondering if it’s one of those pyramid schemes or not. Or is Prosperity Of Life a scam or is it legit? Well, you came to the right place because I’m just going to shoot straight with you. I don’t want your money and I don’t want to waste your time with nonsense.
I simply want to give you my honest opinion of this program and let you decide for yourself, if it’s something that you would want to try.
There’s a lot to learn about this company so let’s get to it.
What Is Prosperity of Life?
Prosperity of Life (formerly known as Polaris Global) is a network marketing company that was founded by Shane and Rachel Krider. They sell personal development and wealth building events and if you want to make money with this program you have to recruit people to attend these events and ultimately get them to join the company.
Here’s the kicker though…. these events are very, very expensive so good luck finding people to join in. That makes it pretty similar to a pyramid scheme to me. That’s just my opinion. But let’s keep digging and find out more.
There’s red flags all over the place when I read up on this company. The main focus of these events is to get the attendees to join as a monthly member.
On top of these live events and conferences they also sell digital products that consist of personal development workshops and online training modules that actually just promote Prosperity of Life.
Products
One thing I do like about this program so far is that all the products are high-commision-products meaning you can make anywhere from $1,000 on up per sale! With that being said, these high-ticket products will be difficult to sell as not everyone has a couple grand lying around to join a make-money-online business that may or may not make you any money.
The products and services they offer are called “Master Of Destinies” and they are pricey!
Product #1 – M-1: Master of Destinies – Home Study: This is a home-study course where you can watch previously recorded seminars that will supposedly transform you into a perpetual individual. Seminars include: Foundation Live, Sovereignty Live, and Influence Live.
Price: $2,855
Potential Commission per Sale: $1,828
Product #2 – M-7: Includes 4 more recorded seminars from Sovereignty Live and Influence Live.
Cost: $5,740
Potential Commission per Sale: $3,672
Product #3 – M7 Fast Track: This is a combo pack that includes M-1 and M-7.
Cost: $7,820
Potential Commission per Sale: $5,000
Product #4 – M2 Sovereignty Live: This is a 5-day live event that covers all kinds of important topics like how to invest your money, asset allocation, tax minimization, and much more.
Cost: $9,940
Potential Commission per Sale: $5,000
Product #5 – M3 Influence Live: Learn about personal development and leadership strategies. Find out how to create a life that you desire that doesn’t go against your personal beliefs and values.
Cost: $16,190
Potential Commission per Sale: $8,000
So, as you can see it’s pretty expensive just to get started. The least expensive product will cost you $2,855 bucks! But it may be worth it if you can make some sales and get some of those high-ticket commissions.
Is Prosperity Of Life A Scam
No, I don’t think it’s necessarily a scam but I just couldn’t see myself spending all that money knowing that there’s a chance I may not even be able to break even.
Plus there are some Red Flags I should mention to you…
Shane Krider got into some trouble with his last network marketing program, Liberty League. He took more than $5 million in a pyramid scheme. I understand that people can learn from there mistakes and perhaps he has changed for the better.
The bottom line here is that Prosperity Of Life is a MLM (Multi-Level Marketing) Scheme meaning you will have to work your tale off recruiting people and selling all these expensive products. It’s very similar to a Pyramid Scheme.

Donna and Heisenberg being the Best Sibling Duo because they’re besties and i said so
mlm/wlw solidarity
Info we’re given on the specifics of when the lords were born is kinda rough from what i’ve seen so in my personal headcanon, Alcina is the oldest, Moreau the second oldest, Heisenberg the second youngest and Donna is the youngest of the lords.
Heisenberg isn’t all that much older than Donna in my personal hc so since they were both taken by Miranda as children they probably somewhat grew up together.
Heisenberg has a love hate relationship with Alcina and Moreau (he kinda resents them for being such kiss asses to Miranda), but he latched onto Donna as a sister because she’s just kinda chill. She still does what Miranda says (it’s not like she has much of a choice), but I feel like she’s kinda ambivalent about the whole situation and one of the only people willing to listen to Heisenbergs rants about Miranda.
Donna can get Heisenberg to chill out and likewise Heisenberg can really bring Donna out of her shell a bit.
Nobody really expects them to be as close as they are but honestly they work so well together.
They hang out semi frequently, usually Heisenberg comes over to Donna’s estate, and they chat over some tea (or alcohol, but that’s pretty rare).
Heisenberg and Angie don’t really get along a whole lot but sometimes they do and when that happens all hell breaks loose.
Heisenberg is the only one who’s ever seen Donna laugh. Not just a small chuckle, but like a tears in her eyes, out of breath laugh.
He’s also the only one who has ever seen her truly angry over something. He can safely say he never wants to be on her bad side when she’s angry.
Some of the things Donna has said while angry would make anyone stop in their tracks. Nobody would expect such things to come from the mouth of such a quiet woman.
As for Donna, she’s the only one who’s ever seen Heisenberg cry.
It was a rainy summer night when she heard a knock at her front door. She opened it to find Heisenberg, drenched in rain, looking emotionally and physically exhausted. He didn’t even need to say a word for her to let him in. She let him change into a separate pair of dry clothes she has on hand for when he comes over and made him some tea. He sat down at her dining room table as she asked him what was wrong. He just puts his head in his hands and let’s out a shaky sigh, muttering how another experiment had ended in failure. An experiment he’d been working on for a long time, one he was sure was going to work. And it failed.
He wipes a few tears away from his eyes as he curses himself for his failures. Donna hands him a tissue and sits there the whole night long, listening to his problems and offering the best support she could, all while rain hits the windows from outside. He spends the night at her estate, and thanks her for letting him stay in the morning when he leaves. Neither of them speak of it, but that interaction is special to the both of them.
Heisenberg isn’t great with emotional support but he would do the same thing for Donna in a heartbeat if she needed it.
Donna is the only lord who’s aware of his metal army. She knows what it’s for, but says nothing about it to anyone else. Heisenberg wonders if she truly does harbor the same resentment towards Miranda as he does.
Occasionally, Donna will go over to the factory to help Heisenberg on his projects. You would never guess it by her small frame but she can lift quite a bit. She’s not as strong as the other lords but she’s still nobody to be messed with.
They like to teach each other things.
Donna will teach him about doll making, gardening and sewing, and Heisenberg will teach her about welding and mechanical stuff.
They’ve both picked up some nifty habits from each other.
They never miss each others birthdays.
Donna usually makes Heisenberg a doll, or some new clothes, or even occasionally buys him something like a bracelet or a ring from the Duke. Heisenberg would never admit it to anyone else but he keeps all of the dolls by his bedside, and wears the rings or bracelets as much as he can. And well, he definitely appreciates any new clothes, especially with how much they usually get damaged in the factory.
Heisenberg will make Donna new gardening tools, or buy her new parts for doll making. One time he even attempted to bake her a cake which ended about as well as you would expect, she appreciated the effort though.
Heisenberg is just a really protective older brother
If Miranda even so much as speaks to Donna a little too harshly during a meeting, Heisenberg will jump to her defense.
If Donna ever has persistent trouble with lycans, he’s there.
Of course, Donna can take care of herself, and he knows that. He just likes to know she’s safe.
Donna is the one good thing to come out of this village, the only person he would ever actually consider a sibling.
They’re the only people who truly understand what each other are going through.
And maybe,
just maybe,
they can leave this place together.

“Could…I see?”
His eyes swirl with tree rings, dark and charred as though he’s walked through fires just to reach this bed, reach him. The farmer smiles shyly, a bashfulness he isn’t familiar with that stings his cheek when he curls his now-swollen lip. He looks down to where the boy’s cheek is pressed to his chest, warmth he’s felt before and yet somehow never known until this moment.
“The barn?” he asks, voice soft but still in disbelief. That hadn’t been his intention when he’d started rattling off about it. It was a boring space, more of a hayloft considering how empty it was compared to the animal barn. There wasn’t much in it but hay, seed, and open space. So much space.
“Big windows,” he explains meekly, and Jack could swear his eyes are starting to shiver the way they do when he wants something, the way they do when he’s about to beg. His right hand glides up the side of the boy’s body from his hip to his jaw, the cracks of his dry thumb scratching against his stubble.
“My boy, I just don’t wanna get your hopes all up in a twist,” Jack insists. But then he looks down again and Din is batting his eyes, lashes thick and curling to the tip as they flit in the softened clementine glow of the bedside lamp. He jokes that for as much money he spends just to be with his sweet boy, he always seems to be the one getting what he wants. But he knows that’s what he’s buying, just a chance to give, a chance to make Din smile and need him as deeply as he needs Din. And it’s always been worth it.
“Alright, alright,” Jack concedes. The bright smile that spreads across his kiss-swollen lips is blinding but priceless, something Jack couldn’t fish out the cash for if he wanted to. “I’ll bring you next morning, how’s that sound?”
“Anything, Daddy,” he begs.
“I’ll show ya, baby,” he assures, leaning down until he feels the gentle knock of his worn forehead. His nose falls right into the crook of his face, a dark haven where he can feel the tips of lashes brush against his cheek. “When the sun shines right through them big windows. They wouldn’t mind if I stole ya for a morning, would they? They know I’m just over yonder, I’ll getcha back in a tick.”
Din smiles at the thought of you.
He can already hear the hefty argument - “Sweet boy, the whole morning? You’d better treat him right; that poor man adores you like no one else. You should’ve seen his big puppy eyes when he saw you that first time in the market, oh I knew he’d like you from the moment I met him. Why don’t you take a few blankets? It gets cold around this time of year and I don’t want you shivering back home to me.” There isn’t a thing you love more than when people love on your loves.
“They won’t mind,” Din whispers, the bubbled edges of a giggle tracing his words.
“I’ll make it so special for you,” Jack says enthusiastically, his mind racing as tides sweep through his mind and begin to pool. “I could feed you breakfast fresh from the farm, there ain’t nothing like them eggs still warm from the hen house. I still have some of them orange squashes, I remember you folk would just about buy me out every week. Do you still like them? I got another-”
“Thank you, Daddy,” Din interrupts.
The tide falls.
His chin juts up gently, mouth capturing his in the sweetness of berries that squirt syrup in his mouth and the lace of cotton sugar that sew between their lips, binding them. Suddenly the lamp light becomes fuzzy, the sheets feeling blurry, and through his closed eyes he can see nothing else but a boy with a throbbing heart, aching for his attention and coated in rose petal embers. He does not pull away, his mouth pressed to his in a way that feels so haphazard and mindless that he basks in it.
“I’d do anything for you.”
The golden boy.
He is adored; adorable. And he must know it when he looks up at the farmer with his big brown eyes, must know it when he runs his tender, calloused fingers through his soft tufts of chestnut hair like cupping clouds of fizzing sea foam. His voice drips like molasses when he speaks; Din loves it that way. Slow, smooth, pulling away in thin cords that hold everything together in tight, sturdy ribbons.
Sweet.
The boy loves hearing him talk, more than most. The farmer hadn’t believed it at first, wasn’t used to the special attention. But the first time he ever asked, said, “Will you tell me to?” all shy, Jack had seen the stars sparkle in his eyes like splintered flecks of golden flames spraying from lightning.
Still, as he runs his hand up his back and presses the tip of his cock into him, he wonders if that’s when he’d gone sweet on him.
“Feel alright, baby?” he grunts, leaning down to press a soft kiss to the column of his spine. Din has little willpower like this, cock strained from all the grinding he’d been put through on the rough denim of his Farmer’s jeans, and he gasps when Jack presses a little further.
“D-daddy,” he whines as he feels himself begin to stretch even more, feels something thick and heavy fill him up just how he likes.
“You’re doin’ so good for me, baby,” Farmer Daniel coos, sinking the thickness of him into the warmth of his body. “Take me all the way baby, I know you can. Just like that sweet boy.”
He is drowned out by whimpers and the light creaking of wood from Din’s strong fingers gripping the edge of the smooth wooden support beam where Jack had him bent over. Jack always fills him good, he thinks. Daddy always makes me feel good.
“Good boy,” Jack purrs as his hips press into the plush of Din’s ass, balls deep. He’s stretched out plenty, been stretched out so many times before, but he could swear he feels tighter this morning. Something holding him, clamping down like soft feather talons to keep him here if he has to claw at him with his last fleeting breath.
But his golden boy doesn’t need all of that, not when Farmer Daniel’s had been so taken by him from the moment he’d laid eyes on him.
The window in the barn faces the East, to the right of the world, his world. The sunlight only just creeps through, sweet slivers like bronze streamers tossed across the open space, across the caramel oak and right onto his back. Jack runs a hand up into his hair, palming his scalp as the tip of his cock presses deeper into him.
And then he looks back.
His breath catches in his throat when they lock eyes, deep pools of roasted honey that spill down his tongue and coat his throat. He looks sculpted, impossible, and the farmer’s face melts down into a vast blankness like the space between stars.
“Fuck me Daddy.”
Jack quirks a smile, leaning down and over him to press his face into his. He sometimes wonders if there was any sweetness before him, has tried to remember the eons he spent smiling at regulars at the market and making a place for himself, imprinting his face into the town. He wasn’t unhappy then, not by any means, but that only makes him confused as to what more his crashing star could’ve given him.
Bliss.
“What’s that, boy?” Jack grunts, pulling out a little only to press back in, grinding the tip of his cock until Din is on the verge of tears.
“Oh stars - please don’t tease me,” he cries as another thick bead of precum spills down the slick underside of his cock. There is a low hum, a blinding tug on his hair, and then Jack is snapping his hips into the plush of Din’s ass.
“Like this boy?” he spits as he pulls sob after sob out of him, “Yes Daddy, please Daddy, faster Daddy faster.”
“Daddy loves the way you sound when you’re full of his cock. I love the way you squeeze me boy, such a desperate little slut for Daddy.” Jack’s grin has been sent tumbling down the hill, lost in the awed parting of his lips as he drills into him over and over. He knows how rough the boy likes it now, knows that there isn’t much he won’t take to make him happy. Fuck how he loves making him happy. It shocks him how delicate he once thought he was as he stands here now, tugging his hair and pounding into him as hard as he can give it.
“Right there Daddy, fuck me right there,” he hears. Jack knows he won’t last like this, but Christ if this boy isn’t worth every second, every penny in his pocket.
“I’ve got you baby,” he assures softly, the gentle twist of his voice soothing as he fucks him merciless. “Daddy’s always got you.”

I’m AFAB, and for the last couple weeks i’ve been questioning my gender. I really hate questioning, and I wish I could just stop. I constantly wonder if I might be a guy, and I hate it. Like I said, I’ve only been questioning for a couple weeks. Before that, I would never, ever have thought that I could be trans. My friend and I were having a conversation about pronouns once, and she told me that “Pronoun and or gender are never something I think I’ll question, because i’m so comfortable exactly how I am”- i agreed completely with her. I loved being a girl. Now, I don’t really know how I feel. I feel so girly sometimes, and I love that about myself! But at the same time, I’m like “what if you’re actually a trans dude”. I think the reason behind my questioning is that I have a big thing about not lying to myself. I’m not really super open to anyone in my life, mainly just because i’m a private person- I like being able to control exactly what people know about me. So, since I spend a lot of time in my own head, I try hard to be very truthful to myself. I dont really have any body dysphoria, and I actually greatly dislike some of my more androgynous body parts (my wide shoulders, door like figure) since I want them to be more feminine. I also like being addressed with she/her pronouns and feminine terms. But i think I also wouldn’t really mind he/him pronouns or being a boy? Sometimes it makes my heart speed up when I think about it. But there’s other parts of being male that I would hate. The idea of being a father, not being able to have children, and I don’t think I would like being mlm. I’m currently (probably) bisexual but the idea of being a man and marrying another man feels so foreign to me. I also like presenting very feminine (long hair, dresses, lipstick). Obviously these things aren’t restricted to people who identify as female, but I want to wear them as a woman- not a man. And again, some of my favorite parts about being female is the social aspect, the bond that I can share with some random girl in a public bathroom. I just constantly wonder if maybe i’m lying to myself, and I’m actually a trans guy in denial. anyway this probably made close to zero sense but i would appreciate any advice you could give!
Its normal to question your identity. Its normal and expected to have conflicting thoughts about who you want to be and how you want to be. This can and often does extend towards gender and sexual identity.
I understand you're anxious about this, but it's not wrong or bad for you to not know how you identify or who you exactly are. Gender can be scary! But you dont need to be scared of your identity changing.
Keep playing with what pronouns and identifiers. This will help you figure out what you're comfortable with. Just because you enjoy some masculine words for yourself doesnt mean you have to be a man. Same as feeling comfortable with feminine words doesnt mean you have to be a woman.
Id suggest focusing on the small stuff-what pronouns do you like, what gendered words feel good? Figure out the gender label later. You dont need to know everything now, or ever for that matter.

Lovestruck Writers Appreciation Week Day 5
Which character do you spend your hearts mostly on?
Liora: Liora was the first LI who had me spending all my hard earned hearts in order to unlock all her heart scenes. Back then I was still only getting hearts by free means so I had to plan and scrounge up and do every single weekend challenge in order to get enough. It was all worth it for her, though, because she’s kind, wonderful and absolutely marvellous and pretty much all her heart scenes are little treasures. She’s my second most favourite LI to this day and I’m so happy she exists. I’d totally be in love with her if she were a real person because she’s pretty much my dream woman come to fictional life. What can I say, for me kindness is pretty much the most appealing quality a lady can possibly possess. xD
Xenia: Now, Xenia was the first one who made me spend real money on hearts because I just couldn’t imagine reading her seasons without doing the heart choices. I spent all my Christmas savings on the biggest heart pack because of her and I do not regret that decision at all. Her heart choices are all little treasures much like Liora’s and even though she’s splendid even without those (did a playthrough with free choices only to see how it compares at one point) I definitely appreciate all the additional intimate moments and knowledge that are locked away in the heart scenes. Some of them felt like the writer reading my mind and answering my personal wishlist like say MC telling Xenia all the wonderful things she thinks about her and how she’s worth so much more than she thinks. Overall, this has been a true gem of a route and I could never ever praise it enough.
Cecelia: To be honest I didn’t know what to think of Cecelia in the beginning. It took me about 9 episodes to decide that yes, I did love her a whole lot and yes, I did want to go back and do all the heart choices for her as well. And while it might have taken me a little while to warm up to her she’s now in my personal top 5 and one of the LIs I love the most. I really like that she has a slightly darker side that gets gradually explored over the seasons and I absolutely adore the open communication between her and MC. She’s dangerous but also vulnerable and that’s a combination that never fails to make me swoon.
Yvette: Speaking of LIs with a darker side I would die for Yvette. I was keeping both my fingers and toes crossed for her to get her own route and was incredibly thrilled when she got one. I know some people take issue with her exactly because of her darker side but I really appreciate that she’s a complex LI who while not being traditionally good so to speak is utterly wonderful and deserving of so much love. Her third season was an absolute revelation and is one of my most favourite things ever on the app. Her writer does such an outstanding job with her story, I am beyond impressed.
Nora: Nora was a surprise. I was not supposed to spend hearts on her at all. I was in fact saving those hearts for Jessa. But then I loved Nora’s premiere so much that I read those first three episodes 3 times in one day and ended up caving and spending hearts on her by the time I was on my third read. No regrets, though. Nora is kind, intelligent and curious and so lovely it hurts. Her and MC are precious together and it just makes me so happy to see two inqusitive young ladies learn things together and have passion for knowledge as one of the main things they have in common. Nora’s route feels like the equivalent of a comfort drink or food to me. It gives me the warm fuzzies and delights me to no end every time I read it. She deserves my hearts. Will be getting more of them if we do get a second season with her written by the same person.
Lucas: Since I was already spending the hearts I had saved up for Jessa on Nora I decided I might as well throw some on Lucas too. I wanted his premiere season to do well so I decided it was worth it to invest in it in the name of mlm players getting more representation in the future. I ended up loving his story a whole lot. There were certain moments in it that gave me hope when I was feeling really down and reminded me to never give up no matter what and that meant much more to me than I can say. I love male MC. I see myself in him and can relate to him on a very personal level. To whoever worked on this route - you did a terrific job!
To all the writers of the routes mentioned above and to everyone working at Lovestruck in general - thank you! You’ve given me hours of happiness and helped cheer me up when I needed it. I’m truly grateful for all your work. I sincerely hope @lovestruckvoltage addresses your concerns soon and keeps you on under better conditions because I definitely want to read more stories written by you. You’re an outstanding bunch of humans and I love you all!

Hey I originally followed you for YOI stuff and since that seems to be on haitus, I have seen you and a lot of people rebloing stuff about a different anime or manga (i think) with different mlm relationships? I think they're two diff shows and I've heard about mdzs before. But lately youve been reblogging stuff from a manga tagged tgcf and it looks pretty cool--so i was wondering how I could get into it and what its about? Does it have actual gay charas?
Hello! I’m sorry for the late response! This morphed from a simple answer into a beginner guide of sorts, so I hope you don’t mind! I know there’s like 500000 guides out there, but I figured I’d give it a shot too! ❤
So the stuff you’ve been seeing everywhere is indeed MDZS or related to it–including on my own blog! (I promise when YOI comes back from war, I’ll be all over that again ;o;!!!)
So these works are all by the same author, Mò Xiāng Tóng Xiù (MXTX) and they are separate danmei (i.e. Chinese BL) novels, though they share a lot of similarities between them:
MDZS (Mó Dào Zǔ Shī) – Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation
TGCF (Tiān Guān Cì Fú) – Heaven Official’s Blessing
SVSSS – Scum Villian’s Self-Saving System
All of them are complete and fan translated, and I’ll answer your last question first: yes, they have actual gay characters! In the novels, the main couples end up canonically married! \o/ In some of the adaptations, their romantic relationships are also maintained (e.g. the manhuas (Chinese graphic novel)), though censorship is present.
Links will be added below this post! Grab some popcorn, this is long!
・:*:・゚’★🐇MDZS🐇★・゚’・:*:・
MDZS《魔道祖师》is definitely the most popular work by MXTX, as it has the most adaptations. You’ve almost certainly been seeing gifs and photosets from its donghua (Chinese animation) or live action the most. However, it has a manhua and audio drama (in both Chinese and Japanese) as well!
Synopsis: Reviled as the infamous Yiling Laozu, Wei Wuxian harnessed the forbidden dark power of demonic cultivation. Once the cultivation world decided he was too dangerous to leave alone, he was hunted down, and a terrible battle ensued that cost Wei Wuxian his life—and the lives of many others. 13 years later, he is resurrected under mysterious circumstances into the body of the pariah Mo Xuanyu. Now with this second chance at life (and while hiding his real identity), Wei Wuxian has to uncover the truth about a powerful malevolent spirit. It may just be the key to revealing a series of heinous secrets hidden from the cultivation world for years. And while the world may still hate him for crimes he didn’t commit, there’s one person who’s on his side—the illustrious Hanguang-jun, Lan Wangji—and is willing to stand by him against all odds. The two have a long and complex history, and Wei Wuxian is unsure of Lan Wangji’s motivations for helping him. But it couldn’t be more simple: respect and love.

Art from the Chinese audio drama.
The great thing about MDZS is that you can really pick your poison in terms of what adaptation you want to get started with. If you are absolutely brand-new to the danmei scene, then starting with the donghua or manhua may be your best bet (both are ongoing). The novel of course is the most beloved, being the source, but all the adaptations have their own charms! They’re all worth checking out, and will keep you busy for quite a while.
・:*:・゚’★🌸TGCF🌸★・゚’・:*:・
Now, for TGCF《天官赐福》—that’s where my photosets are coming from: the ongoing manhua that started in October. There’s a donghua planned for late this year, and a live action in talks (info about that is largely unknown, but is slated for production sometime after the donghua release). TGCF actually has the same deal structure as MDZS apparently, so we’ll be getting an audio drama as well if that’s true.
Synopsis: Talented and virtuous, Crown Prince Xie Lian first ascended to the heavens when he was only 17. Once the darling of the earth and heavens for his boundless skill and purity of heart, he ended up falling from grace—not once, but twice! Subsequently, he became the laughing stock of the three realms. Spending almost 800 years roaming the earth and collecting scraps, he becomes known as the pitiful “rubbish god” and “god of misfortune.” No one could have expected Xie Lian to ascend for a third time, but fate seems to have something in store for this disgraced yet compassionate immortal. Thankfully, he is not alone, as the widely-feared ghost king, Hua Cheng, seems to have a special interest in helping him. The two of them embark on a series of adventures that unravel the secrets of their world, and of themselves.

The novel for TGCF is a great place to start, especially considering how the manhua is still in it’s early stages (just starting it’s 2nd arc as of writing this post). The novel is long, incredibly well-written, and well-translated. The manhua is absolutely stunning, and follows the novel very closely thus far.
・:*:・゚’★🎋SVSSS🎋★・゚’・:*:・
The underrated sibling of the three, SVSSS《人渣反派自救系統 》has only the novel to interact with for right now. A donghua is planned for this year. There was a manhua, but it was cancelled due to some problems with the publisher afaik. Word on the street is that they’re searching for a new team for it, so we’ll continue to pray!!!
Synopsis: Shen Yuan is an avid reader of the web novel Proud Immortal Demon Way. The novel revolves around the protagonist Luo Binghe, a kind child who is tormented endlessly by his Shizun (teacher/mentor) Shen Qingqiu, until he turns into a powerful demon lord and exacts his violent revenge. While initially a fan of the story, Shen Yuan hates the unsatisfactory ending. Upon dying suddenly, he finds himself transmigrated into the novel, at the behest of The System—a sci-fi interface which gives him missions and directives. Unfortunately, he ends up in the place of the cruel Shen Qingqiu out of all people! This new Shen Qingqiu now has to use his knowledge of the novel to navigate around the plot, within the restrictions that The System has implemented. He has to find a way to ensure a better ending, if he wants to keep this second chance at life. His plan for doing this is to be as kind and encouraging as possible to the innocent Luo Binghe, who quickly takes a shine to this new Shen Qingqiu. Even after forced to the dark side, and despite the tension between them after this, Luo Binghe won’t let anyone else touch his beloved Shizun.

SVSSS only really has the novel to interact with as of right now. There’s currently an excellent re-translation in progress by tumblr user Faelicy! If you want to get started now, however, you can read what she’s done so far and then swap over to the old translation afterward.
・:*:・゚’★NOTES★・゚’・:*:・

s1 martin and tim go drinking, mlm/mlm solidarity
(some cws on this one, check the tags)
“Looks like it's up to us to paint the town then, Martin!”
“Huh?” Martin glances up, not really in the mood for Tim's hi-jinks. He doesn't want to admit he's been frowning over this statement follow-up for about forty minutes, because Jon sent it back, covered in corrections, again, and it's getting on late on a Friday evening and Martin's brain's decided to clock out from the working week.  If Tim's been talking, Martin's not heard a word.
Tim playfully throws a rubber-band ball over to him. Martin fumbles but manages to catch it.
“Sasha's got 'plans'” Tim makes finger quotes, and gives Martin a wink like he's in on a joke. “And it's not like Jon's going to come out with us. So it's you and me buddy! Two stunning single bachelors, us against the world!”
Tim grins at the idea, and Martin automatically smiles back, warmed by Tim wanting to spend actual time with him.
“O-ok!” he says, bolstered by Tim's enthusiasm. “That's... yeah, great, cool! Where are we going?”
He hasn't been out in ages. He's struggling to remember when he last did.
“Was thinking some food first,” Tim replies, catching with ease when Martin lobs the ball back. He throws it from hand to hand thoughtfully. His eyes light up as he snags on a thought. “Let's make a night of it! Head into Soho, what d'you reckon. Bit of a walk, but it'll be a nice night for it. I'll take you to G-A-Y, see if we can't set you up with some strapping lad who finds Star Wars t-shirts sexy.”
Martin's hands suddenly twitch like a grave spasm.
“I – ah, I'm s-sorry. I – er. What?”
Tim leans back on his chair, disregarding both gravity and Martin's panicked expression that's slammed the brakes down on his previous bubbling excitement.
“I know, can get packed on a Friday. If it's too busy, we'll try for the Admiral Duncan or somewhere else. The bartender at Ku Bar is really fit, might even be your type, so we could head over there...”
“I – ” There's a lot of words in Martin's throat, and he's not sure how to work with the stiff material they're formed of, making them into something sensible. “I... I've... I mean...”
It's not that he's ashamed. It's not the word he'd use anyway, even if there's defensiveness in his posture, insecurity in his constant omission, and he's strung up in a reaction that scratches up him like fight or flight. He's wondering, despairingly, does everyone know?
Tim must notice something wrong, because he's knocking the legs of his chair back onto the ground. Frowning and leaning forward, putting the ball down on his desk.
“We don't have to,” he says, holding up his hands as though backtracking. “If you've got some secret fella on the go, hey, you're allowed to keep the mystery man a secret. Just thought it might be a good night out, that's all.”
“I don't... I don't have a secret....” Martin can't even say the word, splutters and swallows it bitterly. “How did you...?” he stops again, miserable and irate at his own inability, embarrassed that he's nearly thirty and this is so hard, worrying about what gave him away. He'd been so careful.
“Ah,” Tim's face clears from the clouds of his confusion, and it's abruptly replaced by the weather front of something heavy, a sad kind of comprehension. He adjusts his cap a bit further back from his face. “Let me guess, and tell me if I'm barking up the wrong tree here. You've not been to G-A-Y before.”
Martin gives a little stiff shake of his head.
“You've – and again, I might be wrong – but you've never actually been to a gay bar before.”
Another shake of the head.
“But you like blokes, right?”
Martin's throat is dry. He feels overwhelmingly looked at, and he wants to shrink away, he wants Tim to just shut up, and leave it, and forget they even started this whole thing.
It takes a lot for him to nod.
Tim's expression blooms into a kind-hearted sympathy.
“I'm not going to tell anyone, Martin,” he says, and the air in the room is a little less tight at that earnest promise. “If that's what you're.... No one here would bat an eyelid, but I, I won't say anything that you don't want me to, ok?”
“I don't...” Martin says falteringly, and he fidgets with the stapler on his desk, prods at a biro. “I don't tell people.”
There's a lot in that. Tim knows not to push.
“We don't have to go,” Tim finally replies quietly. “Not if you don't want to. If it's too much...”
“No!” Martin surprises himself with the force of his response, and colours violently, feeling his entire face heat up. “I mean – I – I'd like to. If you – if you still want.”
Tim grins, and his cocksure manner is on display like a theatre curtain lifted. He stands up, doing a stupid little bow like he's trying to make Martin laugh.
“t'would be my honour to lead you astray, Master Blackwood,” he puts on the snobbiest toff voice, and Martin can't help but unwind a little at how daft he sounds, how at ease he looks. It could be, he thinks to himself, maybe it could be this easy.
They get pub-grub in a Wetherspoons near Camden Lock, and they talk about things that aren't work. Films and sport and TV, and it's deliberately breezy and Martin's so appreciative. After a couple of pints, Tim starts teasingly pointing out people around them like he's some sort of cold war spy, asking Martin under his voice to give them a score out of ten – hey, he defends himself when Martin gets flustered and half-heartedly objects, as your wingman I need to know what I'm working with. And there's a giddy delirium to how suddenly all very simple it is to talk about things like this with someone, the cider lubricating his thoughts, his easily tied-up tongue, and soon they're a few pints down, and Martin's snorting a laugh and arguing with Tim about his taste in men, because apparently their opinions and interests vary wildly. The debate only ends when Tim points his fork at him, mock haughtily, replying that at least he's got the common sense to not fancy the boss, and that sends Martin choking on his drink for a good minute, eyes streaming and face burning.
Finally, Tim stands up and claps his hands together as though it's a moment of great grandeur.
“And now!” he declares. “It's time we got this young cub a boyfriend!”
“Would you – Tim! Would you, shush! I'm only a year younger than you, you absolute pillock.”
“No one cares! Best thing about London, Martin, everyone's too wrapped up in their own bollocks to care about ours. Now, are we going or what?”
It's... it's a really good night. They get in easily, and Tim apparently knows the bouncers at the door because he picks up some banter with them easily. Martin looks around at the lights and the people while Tim buys the first round. It's not as scary as he'd imagined. It's, well, it's a normal night club, and it's not late enough to be packed, so people are milling around in groups, drinking, half-dancing to Lady Gaga. The floor is sticky with spilled drink and the music is a little too loud for conversation to be heard, but Martin finds his feet tapping along to the music regardless, and when Tim hands him his plastic glass and holds his own drink up for a cheers, Martin's smile is wide and genuine, the knotted sensation in his chest gone slack.
He'd entertained the worry that Tim might ditch him as soon as he got a hint of attention. Tim certainly gets appraising looks and a few flirty glances which he coquettishly returns, but he sticks to Martin's side, pulling him onto the dance floor and woot-ing with delight when a song comes on that he likes.
They buy more drinks. Martin's round, then Tim's round, and then it's someone's round but Tim's had the grand idea of shots. It must be after midnight, and the music has dissolved into thumping chart-toppers, and Martin is buzzing. Dancing in his own artless way to the music, his shoes stained with some drink he spilt earlier, sing-shouting to the words he knows in the songs. He's danced with people, people who were interested, interested in him, and he hasn't felt the urge to step back, to make sure no-one is watching, to make sure no one gets the wrong idea.
Tim's nudged him forward with a go on Casanova, strut your stuff towards a short blond man, dancing flat-footed and throwing himself into the music, who has been giving Martin impressed, slightly wowed side-eyes all evening, who beams when Martin joins his dance space and draws him into a complicated dance move which Martin stumbles over but tries his best. The man is trying to shout something complimentary in his ear but the music is too loud to hear.
They're both sweaty but the other man is giving him such a look, and Martin feels like an uncorked bottle of champagne, and he finds himself shyly smiling back as the song merges into something louder and more energetic.
He doesn't notice his mobile vibrating. Can't hear it over the music. He pulls his phone out of his pocket almost absent-mindedly, intent on checking the time, figuring he'll have to get the night bus back if they stay here much later, and he blinks as the blurry words and shapes realise themselves into multiple missed calls.
He is suddenly, shockingly sober.
He pushes his way through the dancing throngs, throwing out apologies like scattering seeds, and he clatters back down the stairs, bumping to a few people queueing for the toilers, and then he shoulders his way inexpertly through the downstairs bar and its clusters of people, and then he's out the front door. His breathing is too fast. He's returning the call with a panic, clearing his throat, hoping desperately he doesn't sound too drunk, that he's not slurring his words, because what if something's happened, something bad, and what's his excuse, really. He should have been there, he's just been out, getting pissed, and what's she going to say when she realises....
“Martin?” comes a hollered shout, and Tim's tumbling out of the doors, holding both their jackets and an expression of such concern. “Martin, what...?”
Martin desperately shushes him with an expression.
“Hey,” he croaks down the phone line. “I got your....No, m-my phone was.... No, n-no honestly, it wasn't, I wasn't ignoring....... I-I know, I know, I'm............ yeah........... yeah, I know, but................. Just some people from work, I just lost track of time, I'll.............. I know...... I'll get a taxi, I can be there in...... Ok. I-I know. Sorry, I'll...... Ok. Ok. Bye, mum.”
He ends the call. Rubs at his face. He feels wound up in his chest again.
“I have to go,” he says, and he refuses to meet Tim's eyes. He has the strong suspicion his own eyes are shinier than he wants them to be. “She's not well. She had an episode earlier, and I.... I just need to go. Make sure she's ok.”
“She doesn't know, does she?” Tim's voice is rough from singing, from drinking, but his expression is hard and dark.
“It doesn't matter,” Martin replies shortly.
“Of course it matters!” Tim says, almost with disbelief. “Martin, I know it's your.....  but this isn't, this isn't ok. You can't let people tell you what to do with your life!”
“What are you doing then?” Martin snaps back. Because Christ, he's tired and the night's drawn on too late, and his skin feels sticky, and his mum, she sounded bad, sick under the snapping annoyance at the bother he's caused her yet again. He wasn't there, wasn't there to check up on her, and she'll know he's been drinking and he doesn't need this, not now. He can't do this now.
“That's unfair,” Tim replies curtly. There's something like anger on his face before it dissipates into something Martin can't read. “Martin, you can't keep... one of these days you're going to have to be honest with yourself.”
“You say that like it's easy!” Martin responds, almost enraged, his voice cracking. “I can't be – I can't be like you! I can't – it's all so easy for you, a-and I just... I can't. I'm, I'm sorry. I can't.”
Martin breathes out a tear-stifled breath. He thinks there's a taxi rank a few streets away that he saw on the way over. The lights and loud music are pulsing away, and it's distant, like a bubble he's had to walk away from.
“Thank you for... for trying,” he says hoarsely. “I did.... I had a really nice night, you know.”
Tim pauses and then nods wretchedly, a weight to his shoulders. He walks up to Martin, a little wobbly from the shots, the skin of his exposed arms beginning to get chilly, signposting his intentions so Martin has the chance to move away.
Martin doesn't. Tim's arms come crushing around him, and he slumps into it, full of emotions he doesn't have the ability to name, he doesn't have the bravery to face up to yet.
“We'll do this again sometime, yeah?” Tim mumbles encouragingly into his sweaty hair.
“I'd like that,” Martin replies faintly, before he pulls away, taking his jacket back. Gives Tim a worn-down little wave before he turns away.
The music takes a long time to fade from his ears.

Clare seeks HIMBO: ‘The Bachelorette’ cast first impressions
The Covid-19 pandemic has been rough for the entire world, but Bachelor Nation faced some dark days too. Going eight months without a single new episode from The Bachelor franchise is something I would really like to not relive.
Fortunately, those dark days are over. Clare’s season has me sucked back in.
Tumblr media
The quality of this image is atrocious.
Most of these men—presuming they followed CDC’s social distancing guidelines— haven’t seen a woman in months, are touch deprived, possibly unemployed and contemplating moving back to their hometown while stalking the housing market on Zillow. Everyone’s desperate. That makes for some pretty good TV.
This season features men ranging from ages 26 to 41. We’ve got a boy band manager, a grooming specialist, several men who look like they masturbate in front of full length mirrors and even more who probably want me to join their MLM pyramid scheme.
I’ve never been more ready to roast a bunch of men who have nightmares about going bald. It’s all I’ve wanted to do since March.
Let’s go:
AJ, 28, Software sales
Tumblr media
AJ is the kind of guy who writes “Looking for the Pam to my Jim <3″ on his Bumble profile. His bio is generic and probably not reflective of who he is as a person. If I were Clare I’d swipe left.
Ben, 29, Army ranger veteran
Tumblr media
“Ben's favorite indulgence is an ice bath.“ Well then.
Alexa, play “Run” by AWOLNATION.
Bennett, 36, Wealth management consultant
Tumblr media
Bennett’s profile is the biggest red flag I’ve ever seen. This man says he is the total package but hasn’t always been "this successful and good looking.” But wait, there’s more: “According to Bennett, his high school girlfriend is the only girl he's ever had to work for.“
Can someone tell me what NYC neighborhood he lives in so I can blacklist it?
Blake M1, 31, Male grooming specialist
Tumblr media
Blake’s just another stereotypical “29th round draft pick who sat on the bench of the practice team before getting cut, but claims he left the sport due to an injury on his own accord.”
Blake M2, 29, Wildlife manager
Tumblr media
This Blake is an outdoorsy Canadian who seems pretty genuine and cool. Unfortunately, he has the face of someone who’d get sent home on night one. I hope I’m wrong.
Brandon, 28, Real Estate Agent
Tumblr media
Just another boring hot person. Nothing to see here.
Brendan, 30, Commercial roofer
Tumblr media
Brandan, not to be confused for Brandon, “loves some good true crime, working out and hanging out with his friends.” I can’t even make fun of this man. We have the exact same interests.
Chasen, 31, IT account executive
Tumblr media
The Winklevoss twins are actually triplets and Chasen is their long lost brother. But more seriously, have you ever seen someone who looks more like their name than this man?
Chris, 27, Landscape design salesman
Tumblr media
“Chris hopes to find a woman who is sharp and witty but also easygoing.” Chris, sweetheart, have you met Clare? Easygoing...? There’s still time back out of this before it’s too late.
Dale, 31, Former pro football wide receiver
Tumblr media
Dale aggressively screams “Bachelor material.” I’d say he’s auditioning for that role but Matt James already scooped it up. Better luck next year, Daley.
Demar, 26, Spin cycling instructor
Tumblr media
Demar is a “very popular spin instructor in Scottsdale and says he can get on that bike and spin to any beat thrown his way.” Imagine how many trophy wives Demar has f*cked?
Eazy, 29, Sports marketing agent
Tumblr media
Eazy is very similar to Dale on paper. Except his name is Eazy so he automatically loses that battle.
Ed, 33, Health care salesman
Tumblr media
“Ed is looking to find a woman who has natural beauty without looking overly fake.” Ed deserves to die alone.
Garin, 34, Professor of Journalism
Tumblr media
Garin’s bio is giving me hubby material vibes. And maybe a little bit of a “gets eliminated on night one” vibe too.
Ivan, 28, Aeronautical Engineer
Tumblr media
Ivan, what are you doing here? We’re in a recession. Please go back to your normal job before it’s too late.
Jason, 31, Former pro football linemen
Tumblr media
“He is a former NFL offensive lineman who, after suffering too many concussions on the field, decided to prioritize his health and change the direction of his life.” A big, brawny HIMBO with CTE? I feel like he’s Clare’s type.
Jay, 29, Fitness director
Tumblr media
There are too many things about Jay that I dislike and I’m trying to keep this brief. Jay says “it's time to take a break from worrying about others and focus on himself instead.” I am willing to bet money that this man has never made a woman c*m.
Jeremy, 40, Banker
Tumblr media
Jeremy is the oldest contestant ever to come on "The Bachelorette,” which may seem like a monuments accomplishment but he’s literally only one year older than Clare.
He also “hates Instagram models, both male and female,” so he should have a lot of fun here.
Joe, 36, Anesthesiologist
Tumblr media
Before I even saw his profession and location, I thought Joe looked like a doctor I’d find on a NYC dating app...and...uh...I probably did see him on there now that I think about it.
Anyway, this man has apparently been through seven stages of hell while on the front lines fighting Covid-19 in NYC so I definitely think he deserves to find love. Someone marry him please.
Jordan C, 26, Software account executive
Tumblr media
I can already tell Jordan is going to get the “I’m young but mature” edit which means he’s probably not going to be good TV.
Too bad someone a tad younger (like Tayshia) wasn’t the Bachelorette. I feel like they’d make a cute couple.
Jordan M., 30, Cyber security engineer
Tumblr media
I was going to say something mean but Jordan’s into cyber security and I don’t want my blog to be deactivated, so never mind. Cast photos are historically bad so I’m sure he looks much better in real life.
Kenny, 39, Boy band manager
Tumblr media
I could go for the obvious drags regarding this man’s profession (or his sh*tty chest tattoo, or his suspiciously boyish face relative to his age), but I like to think I’m more clever than that.
I’d like to take this time to talk about men, who are obviously difficult people, who rant and rave about how they want an “easygoing” woman. Look into the mirror, bud. No, not the one you use to jerk off to your reflection; the mirror that looks into your soul. Out of respect for the rest of humankind, have some self-awareness. Or maybe just see a therapist.
Mike, 38, Digital media advisor
Tumblr media
Mike is seemingly a decent catch, but I can’t help but wonder why he’s still single or how he never (accidentally or on purpose) impregnated a woman in his 38 years of life.
And now that I’m thinking about it, do any of these men have children? I have yet to see any mention of it in their bios. But there are eight men left to review, so there’s still time.
Page, 37, Chef
Tumblr media
I spoke too soon. Page is a father! He also hates football! I’m a fan of this man. I was initially going to drag him for his name and say that Page is not a real name. PAIGE is a real name. PAGE is a piece of paper. I’m allowed to say this because we have the same name except mine is spelled the correct way. Based on my (mostly positive) review of his cast bio, I have decided not to hold his name against him.
Tumblr media
Riley, 30, Long Island City
Tumblr media
Riley, once married with children, would like to go on a family vacation that consists of touring every single MLB stadium in the country. If i were his wife, I would simply never give this man children.
Robby, 30, Insurance broker
Tumblr media
No more Robbys on The Bachelorette. Society has evolved past its need for more Robbys.
This Robby described his dream woman as: “Incredibly athletic and able to throw back a few beers with him after a day of hiking. She has a sweet personality and won't mind that he spends his Sundays on the golf course.”
Someone please give this man a sex doll. He just wants a hole.
Tyler C., 27, Lawyer
Tumblr media
“Tyler C. is a badass lawyer who says he is a businessman by day and a cowboy by night.” How does that make him a lawyer? Does this mean he’s into cosplay? I’m confused.
Tyler S., 36, Music manager
Tumblr media
Tyler makes an honorable living off riding his brother’s dick success as a country singer. “He just LOVES his job!” Uh yeah, I would too if I had a low-show, high-paying job off the merits of nepotism. It’s the American dream.
Yosef, 30, Medical device salesman
Tumblr media
Another dad! He’s totally going to pull the “girl dad” narrative. That saying is kind of sexist to me but the masses generally eat it up, so I’m fairly confident Yosef will get the "sweet guy” edit he’s looking for.
Zac C., 36, Addiction specialist
Tumblr media
“He loves Philadelphia sports and dreams of sharing a Philly Cheesesteak with his future wife while watching the Eagles win a Super Bowl.” This man is so South Jersey it hurts.
On a more serious note, I don’t think anyone in recent history has spoken openly about their personal struggle with addiction on this show, so I hope Zac gets a chance to tell his story.
Zach J., 37, Cleaning service owner
Tumblr media
Zach is seemingly obsessed with Clare already and hopes to introduce her to his mom as his fiancée. Since Zach watched Clare on Juan Pablo’s season, you’d think he’d know that Clare would first meet his mom during the final four hometown dates. Assuming he makes it that far. My prediction is that he won’t.
Final thoughts
After eight long months Bachelor Mondays are back!!!
Uhh....wait.
Actually, we now have the less-exciting Bachelor Tuesdays. Yeah, it definitely doesn’t have the same ring to it. But I’ll take anything at this point.
Here are my final predictions:
First impression rose: Dale. It just looks like he can turn on the bullsh*t charm
Final rose: Jason. Clare wants a HIMBO I just know it.
Bachelor: nobody (Matt James is The Bachelor)
Most likely to get engaged on Bachelor in Paradise: Blake M2
Most likely to get canceled online: Bennett
Most likely to get sent home night one but deserve better: Chris
Who are your favorite men cast on this season?

How do you decide how detailed to make your outlines?
Depends what I’m doing, really. If I’m writing a short story, I just need a quick elevator pitch.
Example: Post the Time Heist, Steve’s been infiltrating Hydra as a member. Rumlow wonders what else they don’t know about Cap. Semi-dub-con blow job to ensue. (24 words; I wrote a 1010 word story about that yesterday)
(yes, I know, my summaries are terrible, but it gets me where I need to go.)
I mean, here’s the thing. I started writing as a published erotica writer. I wrote to spec for anthology calls. Steampunk, werewolf, mlm, 3500 - 5000 words. Like that.
Which means my training -- I got a lot of practice, my publication brag shelf is over two feet long and there’s stuff missing -- is all in writing very precisely what’s requested.
Between that and some training I got from my husband (who’s a project manager and helped me work out how to write a story as a project, broken down into manageable steps) I’ve been able to estimate how much writing it’s going to take to accomplish a certain goal.
Generally speaking, about a 20 - 30 word sentence is all I need to sum up the events of a 2,500 word chapter
When I’m writing for spec, I tend to line up what I’m doing so I can eyeball it and see how long it’s going to take me to write.
If I’m writing anything longer than about 5k, I tend to write out an outline, just so I don’t wander off into the desert for 40 days. My outlines don’t always STICK, mind you. Characters wander off and do their own thing, take control of the story, but sometimes just having a general map of where we’re going helps.
If I’m playing more freeform, I tend to write it up like so:
Hitchhiking fic:
Character A picks up Character B outside Philadelphia, headed for California
-- truck stop shower
-- only one bed?
-- attack by hunters
-- sharing secrets/hurt comfort
-- attraction, let’s spend the night together
-- just sex, nbd, brojob
-- feelings, wtf??
-- deal with hunters again
-- don’t leave me!
-- arrive home
-- big ass confession.
Which is one of my self-indulgent fics that I’m working on right now.
I write several kinds of fic;
Challenge fic. Bingos, Bangs, Kinktober, etc -- this is stuff I write because I have an inescapable need to prove that I can. Real-person-me is both unbearably arrogant and desperately in need of validation. I also like doing challenges because I like meeting people, and challenge discords and stuff are a great way to make friends.
Partnered Writing -- writing with @27dragons is very necessary for my sanity. I love my husband, he’s great, but he does not care about fandom shit. working with dragons is very intimate and bonding, and helps me feel SEEN.
Commission Writing -- stuff I do for other people. Outlines are a lot more detailed then, so that my patron can review and make suggestions. I keep my patron writing to a strict time table.
Ridiculous self-indulgence -- half of this stuff never sees the light of day; I’ll write 3000 words and then stash it to “come back to it later” and never bother. Its writing the same way scratching an itch is “self care” This stuff is almost never outlined, except in the vaguest ways. I’ve been known to come back to some stuff in this folder and not remember writing it AT ALL. Sometimes, tho, I get it together and put it out there.

Hi I know it’s been a bit but I’m the confused bi anon. I really really appreciated your response and it wasn’t too long. You made me feel a lot better. I was wondering if you could maybe suggest some books, tv, movies with bi female characters. Thanks soo much for the entire last response . You are absolutely incredible and so sweet. This means more to me than you could ever know❤️
of course!! i’m glad that my first response helped <3
disclaimer of course: i’m not bi! so i’m not an Authoritative Source on bi rep and what people want to see more of. i do actively seek out stuff about lgbtq+ characters, specifically girls and women, so i have some recs! however, i’ll also be adding some things that some bi folks i know have recommended because while lesbians and bi women have a lot in common, these are at the end of the day representing them, not me :)
extra-super favorites will be bolded! i’m putting this under a read more because... i read a lot of books. and recommended a lot of them.
books:
her royal highness by rachel hawkins-- this book is a pretty easy read-- don’t expect any massive revelations about life from it, and you’ll have a good time!!! essentially, a bi texan girl named millie, after having her heart broken by her friend-turned-sort-of-gf, goes to boarding school in scotland and ends up rooming with the princess, flora. if this sounds outrageous and sappy, that’s because it is! and i love it! sexuality isn’t a BIG part of this book, but it’s discussed, and it’s just a generally fun enemies-to-lovers story about a bi aspiring geologist and a no-fucks-to-give lesbian princess and them falling in love!
fried green tomatoes at the whistle stop cafe by fannie flagg-- hello this is actually my favorite book! unlike hrh it is... a LOT to read. it essentially follows 2 stories-- one about a housewife named evelyn and her friendship with an old woman named ninny threadgoode who she meets at the old folks home her mother-in-law stays at, and the other about the stories ninny tells her about her sister-in-law idgie and her partner, ruth. the book was published in 1987, and ruth and idgie’s story is set during the great depression, so they aren’t actively labeled as lesbian or bi, but it’s made obvious enough through coding and the fact that ruth has relationships with men prior to idgie while idgie spends her entire childhood pining after ruth. both storylines are fantastic-- they have a lot to say about the lives of southern women in the 30s and 80s, and about race relations at both periods. i’ll warn you that there are depictions of extreme racism and of abuse, but it handles both delicately. it’s a critical piece of southern literature, and a landmark for lgbtq+ storytelling. as a bonus, my copy has a bunch of great recipes in the back, so if you read it you might chance upon an edition with those in it. if you like poignant period pieces about wlw relationships, women losing their damn minds, and abusive men getting what they deserve, this is the book for you! you will sob. this is a fair warning.
you should see me in a crown by leah johnson-- i haven’t personally read this one, but i’ve heard great things about it from everyone i know who has! an anxious black bi girl in indiana has to win prom queen at her mostly-white school in order to get enough scholarship money to go to the college of her dreams, but ends up falling for mack, another girl running for queen.
@landlessbud wanted me to shout out red, white, and royal blue by casey mcquinston-- you’ve almost definitely heard about it before (first son and prince of wales, enemies-to-lovers with a side dish of political drama), and it is primarily about a mlm romance, but nora is a fabulously fun bi girl side character and there’s a lot of great stuff about figuring out your sexuality in it.
leah on the offbeat by becky albertalli-- i’ve read a lot of complex thoughts on this book, and mine are... i like it! it’s flawed, sure, and i wish it had handled a few things a little better, but you know what? it’s cute as fuck! leah is a fat bi drummer, and she’s super cool! abby is a great love interest, and she goes through a whole bi realization throughout the book. all in all, it’s just a fun wlw high school romcom with a couple solid dramatic beats and a lot of goofball shenanigans. also, if you were an american girl kid??? one scene in this book will make the entire experience worth it for you.
harley quinn: breaking glass by mariko tamaki and steve pugh-- hey, we’re in graphic novel territory now! this book is RAD. a really neat look at gentrification, community solidarity, giving people what they deserve, and fantastic lgbtq+ found families. teenage harleen quinzel is taken in by a group of drag queens, and is caught between two sort-of love interests-- mysterious vigilante the joker and classmate and community activist ivy-- and the different forms of protest and resistance they represent. the art here is STUNNING, and it’s a great read!
laura dean keeps breaking up with me, by the great mariko tamaki with art by rosemary valero-o’connell-- the vast majority of the characters are lgbt, with a lesbian main character, and the supporting cast including a bi nonbinary character, a bi girl character, and two mlm characters! this is mostly a piece about modern lgbtq+ teenagers and the way toxic relationships take over our lives. it’s one of the most cathartic things i’ve read in a LONG time, and especially if you’re at a point where your sexuality feels kind of vague, this is a great read because it embraces that vagueness by not needing to clearly label the characters and celebrates whatever point of clarity the characters are at. probably some of the most gorgeous art i’ve ever seen in a book, with a beautiful black-white-and-pink color scheme and a really neat approach to visual storytelling.
movies:
i don’t watch many movies, because i get bored really quickly hskdhskhds. but the movies i DO watch are usually gay!
wowie zowie its fried green tomatoes again!-- fannie flagg came back to adapt this into a film and HOT DAMN is it just as good. the plot is primarily the same, with some stuff obviously cut or trimmed to make it a two hour movie instead of a 450 page books fhsjdhsjhds. mary-louise parker plays ruth!!! it got a GLAAD award and an oscar nomination, and god it’s good. there are a couple scenes in here that i think are going to be in my mind until the day i die. the level of pure butch energy that idgie radiates in this film is a one-hit k.o. and it KILLS me.
birds of prey-- listen. this is not a profound movie. harley’s bisexuality isn’t emphasized, and romance is basically nonexistent in this movie. there is some... quite graphic violence. that said, this movie is so fucking fun. it’s mostly just a bunch of women fucking up everyone who crosses them while margot robbie gives a gleeful performance that you can just TELL she enjoyed the fuck out of. the last 20-30 minutes of this movie are the absolute best part, with a long sequence that kind of reinvented what an action/superhero movie could be for me. again, bisexuality isn’t a massive part of this-- it’s mentioned, and then harley just continues on in her gloriously campy outfits and breaks peoples’ knees. again, i CANNOT overemphasize just how fucking good the last 20-30 minutes are. this movie knows what it is and it embraces it. also, women beating people up in costumes that don’t horrifyingly objectify them is always a plus!
imagine me & you-- i’d be remiss if i didn’t mention this one, considering it’s probably one of the most iconic wlw romcoms. a woman named rachel, while at her own wedding, meets a florist named luce, and they fall in love. it’s a very sweet look at questioning your sexuality when you were already secure in it, and rachel’s husband wins “most genuinely understanding guy in a wlw movie” award. it has a lovely happy ending, and articles have been written about the importance of rachel being a bi character who a) gets a happy ending and b) isn’t shamed for figuring out her sexuality later on or slutshamed. this is just... a sweet movie. it’s the romcom a lot of us need in our lives. also, a LOT of floral imagery.
tv shows:
ok, i’ve got a confession. i reaaaaaaally don’t watch much tv. seriously, the only shows i’ve watched a substantial amount of recently have been parks and rec, schitt’s creek, the good place, and gilmore girls. i have a really REALLY short attention span.
that said, eleanor from the good place is bisexual!! the good place is a really wild ride, it’s half afterlife comedy half philosophical musing, and it will almost certainly make you gasp, laugh, think, and also probably cry. also, eleanor is just buckets of fun and she, like many of us, is often blown away by tahani (jameela jamil) and her beauty.
ummm shows i haven’t watched entirely or at all but that have bi women in them and seem pretty good: black lightning, sex education, jane the virgin, arrow.
if you haven’t already watched it, do not believe what people are going to tell you about watching glee. it will drag you into a pit of despair and white men rapping, and it’s quite biphobic to top it all off.
i hope you enjoy at least some of these!! i tried to include some of my own favs and some that were pointed out to me, so i hope that at least a couple connect with you and make you feel better. again, the bolded ones are my 100% favorites. i love you and i’m glad you reached out again!!! feel free to send some more asks later on <3
