I’m Not Your F*ckng Maid
-Prologue-
Dean was awoken with a slam inches from his face and he sprung to life, almost losing his balance before he realised where he was. He’d fallen asleep at the table with his face in a book and surrounded by heaps of paper - many of which he hadn’t even started to read through yet. Blinking awake and gaining his bearings, he heard a familiar voice ring through the room.
”You boys are disgusting, how do you live like this?” The older Winchester finally looked up to see Charlie lifting a plate of half eaten, day-old pizza whilst kicking several beer bottles aside so she could pull out a chair and take a seat next to Dean, who was pinching the bridge of his nose.
”Yeah well, we’ve been a little busy recently if you haven’t noticed,” his voice was gravelly from the sleep. Charlie put down the plate of old food and sat down, worry crossing her face as she looked at the man next to her. She knew they’d been under a lot of pressure lately with their work, so much so that the brothers were starting to neglect themselves. It had been months since they’d eaten proper food that wasn’t instant or take-out, they rarely went outside, always locking themselves away in the bunker to do research and the bunker itself was getting cluttered with bin bags and pizza boxes. Not to mention the piles of laundry that she’s noticed slowly starting to form its own ecosystem in the washroom.
“Yeah I get that, but you really have to look after yourselves. When was the last time you ate a vegetable?”
Dean scoffed.
“Yesterday, obviously,” he gave her a look like she was from another planet, and she rolled her eyes.
“The pizza sauce doesn’t count, Dean.”
He looked puzzled, raising an eyebrow, “Why not?”
Before she could even humour him with an answer, Sam emerged, rubbing his eyes.
“Oh hey Charlie, when did you get here?” His voice was equally as gravelly as Deans, so she assumed he’d also just woken up.
“Five minutes ago.”
“She called us disgusting Sam. And she said the sauce on pizza isn’t made from vegetables,” Dean gestured to Charlie like she was the fool as he looked up at his younger brother who now stood across from him on the other side of the table. Sam went to open his mouth to respond, but closed it again quickly and furrowed his brows, clearly unsure how to reply to his older brother without opening a can of worms. Charlie huffed.
“You guys need to sort yourself out. I only dropped by because I hadn’t heard from you for a while and thought you might’ve worked yourself to death. I can’t stay long because I’m meeting a friend for a drink. She’s already at the diner waiting for me”
“A friend?” Dean wiggled his eyebrows suggestively and the redhead smirked.
“I wish, sadly she’s into dudes,” she paused, a thought crossing her mind, “Come to think of it, she’s actually looking for work, you guys might be able to help.”
Dean and Sam shared a glance.
“She’s a hunter?” Sam asked.
“Not exactly. Her uncle was, so she knows about stuff, but from what I know she was just a research girlie,” Charlie peered at the mess of papers on the table, “and it looks like you could use the help.” She looked between the brothers as they stared at each other, like they were having some sort of unspoken conversation. A few moments passed before Dean slapped his hand on the table and stood up.
“Sure ok, but we’re coming with you today to meet her,” he went to grab his jacket from the back of his chair, an eagerness in his movements before Charlie put her hand out to stop him.
“Great!” She grinned, before raising her eyebrows and pointing to them both, “but first you guys have got to shower, because I can taste your BO from here.”

Landoscar HC's
Tumblr media
I started this when we got a McLaren Double Podium. That was a week ago. Here we are.
Lando x reader x Oscar
Masterlist
At first, nobody was sure what to do
Y/N was dating Lando, but then this Oscar guy came along
Both of them were in awe
The Australian was just so cute
They couldn't get enough
But, from there, it was just awkward
Lando and Y/N stumbling over themselves
Oscar laughing at them
Lando and Y/N stumbling over themselves some more because oh my god that laugh
How did they get together, I hear you asking?
It was a drunken night
None of them could remember what happened
Even when they woke up in the same bed, they still couldn't remember
But they weren't complaining
But cue more awkwardness
They couldn't talk about it, not for a good while
When they did, it was Y/N having to break the ice
She invited Oscar over, made dinner and served drinks
"We have to get this sorted," she said after they'd all sat down for dinner
Sort it out they did
They sorted it out with light touches and uncomfortable kisses
Doing this sober was a lot different to doing it drunk
It came with time
They had to keep things quiet for that time
Secret touches in dark corners
Slow kisses in hotel rooms with the doors locked
It was a weird situation they found themselves in
Y/N and Lando were able to walk around, holding hands and being photographed together
In some photographs they even had Oscar walking behind them
A lot of fans called Y/N and Lando Oscars parents
That was a haunting day
The world found out about them after five months of dating
Five months of hiding their relationship
Y/N and Lando had Oscar over to stay in their apartment in Monaco several times since the beginning of their relationship
They didn't feel they could go out to dinner, so they had a lot of takeout on the sofa, with candles lit and the television on
The day the world found out was after Lando, Oscar and Y/N had been at the club with some of the other drivers and their girlfriends
The drinks had been flowing
Maybe all of them had too much
The next day the pictures were on all of the F1 gossip sites and instagram pages
Y/N between Oscar and Lando, Lando's hips pressed against her backside as she made out with Oscar
And then all three of them were pressed together, with Lando and Oscar kissing with Y/N in between them
There were millions of these pictures, all of them following the same theme
Y/N, Oscar and Lando doing things they usually kept behind closed doors
But now their relationship was out in the public
All three of them were posting statements the next day
And then they were free, they could show their relationship to the public
It didn't come without prejudice; they were stopped on the street and berated like it was nothing
But they were in love, and that's all that mattered, right?
Sometimes it was too much and they put things back behind closed doors
Y/N kissed both boys when they got on the podium, but the PDA didn't spread beyond that
They kept things quiet
Kept it to their hotel rooms
Kisses, any kind of touches had to be hidden away
For their year anniversary, Lando and Oscar booked out an entire restaurant
It was the first time they were able to go out to dinner together in months
The boys were in suits (which Y/N loved because neeecks) and she was in a dress
McLaren media days were suddenly awkward
The boys were able to keep it together, but the McLaren staff didn't know how to act
"We're not about to start snogging," Lando had to say to them at one point
It took the people at McLaren a while to get used to their relationship, but once they did, things were perfect
The team was working at their best once everything was out in the air
They were together for three years, had three anniversaries like this before Lando finally popped the question to the both of them

How a Computer Works - Part 1 (Components)
I am about to teach you on a real fundamental, connecting up electronic components level, how a computer actually works. Before I get into the meat of this though (you can just skip down below the fold if you don't care), here's the reasons I'm sitting doing so in this format:
Like a decade or two ago, companies Facebook pushed this whole "pivot to video" idea on the whole internet with some completely faked data, convincing everyone that everything had to be a video, and we need to start pushing back against that. Especially for stuff like complex explanations of things or instructions, it's much more efficient to just explain things clearly in text, maybe with some visual aids, so people can easily search, scan, and skip around between sections. It's also a hell of a lot easier to host things long term, and you can even print out a text based explainer and not need a computer to read it, keep it on a desk, highlight it, etc.
People are so clueless about how computers actually work that they start really thinking like it's all magical. Even programmers. Aside from how proper knowledge lets you get more out of them, this leads to people spouting off total nonsense about "teaching sand to think" or "everything is just 1s and 0s" or "this 'AI' a con artist who was trying to sell me NFTs a month ago probably really is an amazing creative thinking machine that can do everything he says!"
We used to have this cultural value going where it was expected that if you owned something and used it day to day, you'd have enough basic knowledge of how it worked that if it stopped working you could open it up, see what was wrong, and maybe fix it on your own, or maybe even put one together again from scratch, and that's obviously worth bringing back.
I'm personally working on a totally bonkers DIY project and I'd like to hype up like-minded people for when it gets farther along.
So all that said, have a standard reminder that I am completely reliant on Patreon donations to survive, keep updating this blog, and ideally start getting some PCBs and chips and a nice oscilloscope to get that mystery project off the ground.
Electricity probably doesn't work like how you were taught (and my explanation shouldn't be trusted too far either).
I remember, growing up, hearing all sorts of things about electricity having this sort of magical ability to always find the shortest possible path to where it needs to get, flowing like water, and a bunch of other things that are kind of useful for explaining how a Faraday cage or a lightning rod works, and not conflicting with how simple electronics will have a battery and then a single line of wire going through like a switch and a light bulb or whatever back to the other end of the battery.
If you had this idea drilled into your head hard enough, you might end up thinking that if we have a wire hooked to the negative end of a battery stretching off to the east, and another wire stretching off to the east from the positive end, and we bridge between the two in several places with an LED or something soldered to both ends, only the westernmost one is going to light up, because hey, the shortest path is the one that turns off as quickly as possible to connect to the other side, right? Well turns out no, all three are going to light up, because that "shortest path" thing is a total misunderstanding.
Here's how it actually works, roughly. If you took basic high school chemistry, you learned about how the periodic table is set up, right? A given atom, normally, has whatever number of protons in the core, and the same number of electrons, whipping all over around it, being attracted to those protons but repelled by each other, and there's particular counts of electrons which are super chill with that arrangement so we put those elements in the same column as each other, and then as you count up from those, you get the elements between those either have some electrons that don't fit all tight packed in the tight orbit and just kinda hang out all wide and lonely and "want to" buddy up with another atom that has more room, up to the half full column that can kinda go either way, then as we approach the next happy number they "want to" have a little more company to get right to that cozy tight packed number, and when you have "extra" electrons and "missing" electrons other atoms kinda cozy up and share so they hit those good noble gas counts.
I'm sure real experts want to scream at me for both that and this, but this is basically how electricity works. You have a big pile of something at the "positive" end that's "missing electrons" (for the above reason or maybe actually ionized so they really aren't there), and a "negative" end that's got spares. Then you make wires out of stuff from those middle of the road elements that have awkward electron counts and don't mind buddying up (and also high melting points and some other handy qualities) and you hook those in there. And the electron clouds on all the atoms in the wire get kinda pulled towards the positive side because there's more room over there, but if they full on leave their nucleus needs more electron pals, so yeah neighbors get pulled over, and the whole wire connected to the positive bit ends up with a positive charge to it, and the whole wire on the negative bit is negatively charged, and so yeah, anywhere you bridge the gap between the two, the electrons are pretty stoked about balancing out these two big awkward compromises and they'll start conga lining over to balance things out, and while they're at it they'll light up lights or shake speakers or spin motors or activate electromagnets or whatever other rad things you've worked out how to make happen with a live electric current.
Insulators, Resistors, Waves, and Capacitors
Oh and we typically surround these wires made of things that are super happy about sharing electrons around with materials that are very much "I'm good, thanks," but this isn't an all or nothing system and there's stuff you can connect between the positive and negative ends of things that still pass the current along, but only so much so fast. We use those to make resistors, and those are handy because sometimes you don't want to put all the juice you have through something because it would damage it, and having a resistor anywhere along a path you're putting current through puts a cap on that flow, and also sometimes you might want a wire connected to positive or negative with a really strong resistor so it'll have SOME sort of default charge, but if we get a free(r) flowing connection attached to that wire somewhere else that opens sometimes, screw that little trickle going one way, we're leaning everyone the other way for now.
The other thing with electricity is is that the flow here isn't a basic yes/no thing. How enthusiastically those electrons are getting pulled depends on the difference in charge at the positive and negative ends, and also if you're running super long wires then even if they conduct real good, having all that space to spread along is going to kinda slow things to a trickle, AND the whole thing is kinda going to have some inherent bounciness to it both because we're dealing with electrons whipping and spinning all over and because, since it's a property that's actually useful for a lot of things we do with electricity, the power coming out of the wall has this intentional wobbly nature because we've actually got this ridiculous spinny thing going on that's constantly flip flopping which prong of the socket is positive and which is negative and point is we get these sine waves of strength by default, and they kinda flop over if we're going really far.
Of course there's also a lot of times when you really want to not have your current flow flickering on and off all the time, but hey fortunately one of the first neat little electronic components we ever worked out are capacitors... and look, I'm going to be straight with you. I don't really get capacitors, but the basic idea is you've got two wires that go to big wide plates, and between those you have something that doesn't conduct the electricity normally, but they're so close the electromagnetic fields are like vibing, and then if you disconnect them from the flow they were almost conducting and/or they get charged to their limit, they just can't deal with being so charged up and they'll bridge their own gap and let it out. So basically you give them electricity to hold onto for a bit then pass along, and various sizes of them are super handy if you want to have a delay between throwing a switch and having things start doing their thing, or keeping stuff going after you break a connection, or you make a little branching path where one branch connects all regular and the other goes through a capacitor, and the electricity which is coming in in little pulses effectively comes out as a relatively steady stream because every time it'd cut out the capacity lets its charge go.
We don't just have switches, we have potentiometers.
OK, so... all of the above is just sort of about having a current and maybe worrying about how strong it is, but other than explaining how you can just kinda have main power rails running all over, and just hook stuff across them all willy-nilly rather than being forced to put everything in one big line, but still, all you can do with that is turn the whole thing on and off by breaking the circuit. Incidentally, switches, buttons, keys, and anything else you use to control the behavior of any electronic device really are just physically touching loose wires together or pulling them apart... well wait no, not all, this is a good bit to know.
None of this is actually pass/fail, really, there's wave amplitudes and how big a difference we have between the all. So when you have like, a volume knob, that's a potentiometer, which is a simple little thing where you've got your wire, it's going through a resistor, and then we have another wire we're scraping back and forth along the resistor, using a knob, usually, and the idea is the current only has to go through X percent of the resistor to get to the wire you're moving, which proportionately reduces the resistance. So you have like a 20 volt current, you've got a resistor that'll drop that down to 5 or so, but then you move this other wire down along and you've got this whole dynamic range and you can fine tune it to 15 or 10 or whatever coming down that wire. And what's nice about this again, what's actually coming down the wire is this wobbily wave of current, it's not really just "on" or "off, and as you add resistance, the wobble stays the same, it's just the peaks and valleys get closer to being just flat. Which is great if you're making, say, a knob to control volume, or brightness, or anything you want variable intensity in really.
Hey hey, it's a relay!
Again, a lot of the earliest stuff people did with electronics was really dependent on that analog wobbly waveform angle. Particularly for reproducing sound, and particularly the signals of a telegraph. Those had to travel down wires for absurd distances, and as previously stated, when you do that the signal is going to eventually decay to nothing. But then someone came up with this really basic idea where every so often along those super long wires, you set something up that takes the old signal and uses it to start a new one. They called them relays, because you know, it's like a relay race.
If you know how an electromagnet works (something about the field generated when you coil a bunch of copper wire around an iron core and run an electric current through it), a relay is super simple. You've got an electromagnet in the first circuit you're running, presumably right by where it's going to hit the big charged endpoint, and that magnetically pulls a tab of metal that's acting as a switch on a new circuit. As long as you've got enough juice left to activate the magnet, you slam that switch and voom you've got all the voltage you can generate on the new line.
Relays don't get used too much in other stuff, being unpopular at the time for not being all analog and wobbily (slamming that switch back and forth IS going to be a very binary on or off sorta thing), and they make this loud clacking noise that's actually just super cool to hear in devices that do use them (pinball machines are one of the main surviving use cases I believe) but could be annoying in some cases. What's also neat is that they're a logical AND gate. That is, if you have current flowing into the magnet, AND you have current flowing into the new wire up to the switch, you have it flowing out through the far side of the switch, but if either of those isn't true, nothing happens. Logic gates, to get ahead of myself a bit, are kinda the whole thing with computers, but we still need the rest of them. So for these purposes, relays re only neat if it's the most power and space efficient AND gate you have access to.
Oh and come to think of it, there's no reason we need to have that magnet closing the circuit when it's doing its thing. We could have it closed by default and yank it open by the magnet. Hey, now we're inverting whatever we're getting on the first wire! Neat!
Relay computers clack too loud! Gimme vacuum tubes!
So... let's take a look at the other main thing people used electricity for before coming up with the whole computer thing, our old friend the light bulb! Now I already touched a bit on the whole wacky alternating current thing, and I think this is actually one of the cases that eventually lead to it being adopted so widely, but the earliest light bulbs tended to just use normal direct current, where again, you've got the positive end and the negative end, and we just take a little filament of whatever we have handy that glows when you run enough of a current through it, and we put that in a big glass bulb and pump out all the air we can, because if we don't, the oxygen in there is probably going to change that from glowing a bit to straight up catching on fire and burning immediately.
But, we have a new weird little problem, because of the physics behind that glowing. Making something hot, on a molecular level, is just kinda adding energy to the system so everything jitters around more violently, and if you get something hot enough that it glows, you're getting it all twitchy enough for tinier particles to just fly the hell off it. Specifically photons, that's the light bit, but also hey, remember, electrons are just kinda free moving and whipping all over looking for their naked proton pals... and hey, inside this big glass bulb, we've got that other end of the wire with the more positive charge to it. Why bother wandering up this whole coily filament when we're in a vacuum and there's nothing to get in the way if we just leap straight over that gap? So... they do that, and they're coming in fast and on elliptical approaches and all, so a bunch of electrons overshoot and smack into the glass on the far side, and now one side of every light bulb is getting all gross and burnt from that and turning all brown and we can't have that.
So again, part of the fix is we switched to alternating current so it's at least splitting those wild jumps up to either side, but before that, someone tried to solve this by just... kinda putting a backboard in there. Stick a big metal plate on the end of another wire in the bulb connected to a positive charge, and now OK, all those maverick electrons smack into here and aren't messing up the glass, but also hey, this is a neat little thing. Those electrons are making that hop because they're all hot and bothered. If we're not heating up the plate they're jumping to, and there's no real reason we'd want to, then if we had a negative signal over on that side... nothing would happen. Electrons aren't getting all antsy and jumping back.
So now we have a diode! The name comes because we have two (di-) electrodes (-ode) we care about in the bulb (we're just kind of ignoring the negative one), and it's a one way street for our circuit. That's useful for a lot of stuff, like not having electricity flow backwards through complex systems and mess things up, converting AC to DC (when it flips, current won't flow through the diode so we lop off the bottom of the wave, and hey, we can do that thing with capacitors to release their current during those cutoffs, and if we're clever we can get a pretty steady high).
More electrodes! More electrodes!
So a bit after someone worked out this whole vacuum tube diode thing, someone went hey, what if it was a triode? So, let's stick another electrode in there, and this one just kinda curves around in the middle, just kinda making a grate or a mesh grid, between our hot always flowing filament and that catch plate we're keeping positively charged when it's doing stuff. Well this works in a neat way. If there's a negative charge on it, it's going to be pushing back on those electrons jumping over, and if there's a positive charge on it, it's going to help pull those electrons over (it's all thin, so they're going to shoot right past it, especially if there's way more of a positive charge over on the plate... and here's the super cool part- This is an analog thing. If we have a relatively big negative charge, it's going to repel everything, if it's a relatively big positive, it's going to pull a ton across, if it's right in the middle, it's like it wasn't even in there, and you can have tiny charges for all the gradients in between.
We don't need a huge charge for any of this though, because we're just helping or hindering the big jump from the high voltage stuff, and huh, weren't we doing this whole weak current controlling a strong current thing before with the relay? We were! And this is doing the same thing! Except now we're doing it all analog style, not slapping switch with a magnet, and we can make those wavy currents peak higher or lower and cool, now we can have phone lines boost over long distances too, and make volume knobs, and all that good stuff.
The relay version of this had that cool trick though where you could flip the output. Can we still flip the output? We sure can, we just need some other toys in the mix. See we keep talking about positive charges and negative charges at the ends of our circuits, but these are relative things. I mentioned way back when how you can use resistors to throttle how much of a current we've got, so you can run two wires to that grid in the triode. One connects to a negative charge and the other positive, with resistors on both those lines, and a switch that can break the connection on the positive end. If the positive is disconnected, we've got a negative charge on the grid, since it's all we've got, but if we connect it, and the resistor to the negative end really limits flow, we're positive in the section the grid's in. And over on the side with the collecting plate, we branch off with another resistor setup so the negative charge on that side is normally the only viable connection for a positive, but when we flip the grid to positive, we're jumping across the gap in the vacuum tube, and that's a big open flow so we'll just take those electrons instead of the ones that have to squeeze through a tight resistor to get there.
That explanation is probably a bit hard to follow because I'm over here trying to explain it based on how the electrons are actually getting pulled around. In the world of electronics everyone decided to just pretend the flow is going the other way because it makes stuff easier to follow. So pretend we have magical positrons that go the other way and if they have nothing better to do they go down the path where we have all the fun stuff further down the circuit lighting lights and all that even though it's a tight squeeze through a resistor, because there's a yucky double negative in the triode and that's worse, but we have the switch rigged up to make that a nice positive go signal to the resistance free promised land with a bonus booster to cut across, so we're just gonna go that way when the grid signal's connected.
Oh and you can make other sorts of logic circuits or double up on them in a single tube if you add more grids and such, which we did for a while, but not really relevant these days.
Cool history lesson but I know there's no relays or vacuum tubes in my computer.
Right, so the above things are how we used to make computers, but they were super bulky, and you'd have to deal with how relays are super loud and kinda slow, and vacuum tubes need a big power draw and get hot. What we use instead of either of those these days are transistors. See after spending a good number of years working out all this circuit flow stuff with vacuum tubes we eventually focused on how the real important thing in all of this is how with the right materials you can make a little juncture where current flows between a positive and negative charge if a third wire going in there is also positively charged, but if it's negatively charged we're pulling over. And turns out there is a WAY more efficient way of doing that if you take a chunk of good ol' middle of the electron road silicon, and just kinda lightly paint the side of it with just the tiniest amount of positive leaning and negative leaning elements on the sides.
Really transistors don't require understanding anything new past the large number of topics already covered here, they're just more compact about it. Positive leaning bit, negative leaning bit, wildcard in the middle, like a vacuum tube. Based on the concepts of pulling electrons around from chemistry, like a circuit in general. The control wire in the middle kinda works in just a pass-fail sort of way, like a relay. They're just really nice compared to the older alternatives because they don't make noise or have moving parts to wear down, you don't have to run enough current through them for metal to start glowing and the whole room to heat up, and you can make them small. Absurdly small. Like... need an electron microscope to see them small.
And of course you can also make an inverter super tiny like that, and a diode (while you're at it you can use special materials or phosphors to make them light emitting, go LEDs!) and resistors can get pretty damn small if you just use less of a more resistant material, capacitors I think have a limit to how tiny you can get, practically, but yeah, you now know enough of the basic fundamentals of how computers work to throw some logic gates together. We've covered how a relay, triode, or transistor function as an AND gate. An OR gate is super easy, you just stick diodes on two wires so you don't have messy backflow then connect them together and lead off there. If you can get your head around wiring up an inverter (AKA NOT), hey, stick one after an AND to get a NAND, or an OR to get a NOR. You can work out XOR and XNOR from there right? Just build 4 NANDs, pass input A into gates 1 and 2, B into 2 and 3, 2's output into 1 and 3, 1 and 3's output into 4 for a XOR, use NORs instead for a XNOR. That's all of them right? So now just build a ton of those and arrange them into a computer. It's all logic and math from there.
Oh right. It's... an absurd amount of logic and math, and I can only fit so many words in a blog post. So we'll have to go all...
CONTINUED IN PART 2!
Meanwhile, again, if you can spare some cash I'd really appreciate it.

Unwanted, Chapter 1: Unarmed, Pt. 1
Pairing: Bucky Barnes x Avenger!Fem!Reader
Summary: (For this part only) Following the events of CA:CW, Tony Stark has offered Steve Rogers an olive branch of sorts to bring The Avengers back together. You, CTO of Stark Industries and head of Innovation & Technology for the Avengers' Initiative, have your doubts, as you're not quite ready to forgive Captain America for ripping your family apart just yet. Steve had one condition, however, when agreeing to return to the team, one that's going to turn your life upside down and inside out: If he's coming back to join The Avengers, he's bringing his best friend, Bucky Barnes, with him.
Warnings: (For this part only) Language (obviously), minor mention of alcohol, I'm obviously on Team Tony during the CW; don't come for me, awful jokes, minor use of (Y/N). As always, if I missed any, please let me know.
Word Count: 3.2k
A/N: Here's a little preview of Unwanted. In it's current form, it's standing at about 50k words, with about 25k still in editing, and I'm maybe about half done with writing the entire thing? I'm not going to lie, it starts out cute and fluffy, but it's gonna get real angsty and painful. Dear Reader has unresolved emotional trauma and Bucky doesn't understand the importance of boundaries in 21st century relationships. This piece has been my baby for several months now; I really hope ya'll enjoy reading it as much as I've enjoyed writing it! Banner By: The absolutely amazing @mrsbuckybarnes1917
Taglist: (Please let me know if you'd like to be added!) @blackhawkfanatic
"You're sure you're cool with this, Boss?" you asked Tony Stark, for what was probably the ten thousandth time in the last hour. The two of you were sitting by yourselves off in a corner of the common area of the Avengers Tower while the rest of your team congregated around the bar, eagerly anticipating the official return of Captain America to the Avengers. That, by itself, would be enough to warrant a gathering of Earth's mightiest heroes, but what had everyone in attendance talking was the fact that Steve Rogers wouldn't be returning alone.
Your billionaire employer sighed and swirled his glass of Laphroaig, the amber liquid sloshing along the sides of the tumbler. "I don't love it, Pocket, but it was Cap's only condition for coming back into the fold, and since Barton, Wilson, and Maximoff all went off the reservation with him, it seemed a small price to pay to get everyone back under one roof." He took a swig of his whiskey and smacked his lips.
You couldn't help but smile at his use of your nickname. Thor had inadvertently given it to you when you first met the God of Thunder years ago, remarking for everyone to hear that you were so small and tiny, he could tuck you into his pocket and abscond away with you to Asgard. Somehow, it stuck. You'd hated it at first; it had felt dismissive and condescending, which of course meant that it soon became the only thing the members of your team called you, but the more they used in their daily lives, the more you actually came to love it. It was a brand new, unique identity that came to embody the person you’d become, and the past you’d worked so hard to put behind you. You were more likely to answer to 'Pocket,' now, than you were your legal name, and you were grateful for it.
"Besides," Tony continued with a shrug, "if letting the Barnes thing go means we get the band back together, I'm willing to be the bigger person about it."
You stared at him, impressed. "Well look at you. When did you get so emotionally evolved?"
"Since Pepper told me I needed to start seeing a therapist or she’d leave me once and for all," he admitted to you with a cheeky wink; you both knew that, though Tony drove his partner, Pepper Potts, absolutely insane sometimes, she loved him far too much to ever walk away from him for good. That didn’t stop the threats, though. Lord knows he tried her patience. In your opinion, the woman was a saint.
Your eyes widened at the revelation and you let out a low whistle of appreciation. "You're going to therapy? Wow. Tony, That's amazing. I'm proud of you."
"Oh please," Tony scoffed, "I have much more important things to do than sit on a couch and spill my feelings. Besides, my secrets are too valuable to divulge to an actual human being. I just trained FRIDAY on therapeutic conversational datasets so she can handle all that psychological mumbo jumbo and then I paired that with BARF's augmented reality-- it's seriously the platinum standard in mental healthcare. No awkward silences or judgmental stares, just pure efficiency. You should try it; it’d do you wonders. And the best part? No copays."
You chuckled as you took a sip of your pineapple and Malibu. "Yeah, okay. That completely tracks for you," you told him with a smile. "So, what did Dr. FRIDAY tell you that got you to change your mind about the Barnes situation?"
Furrows appeared between Tony's eyebrows as he took another sip of whiskey to buy time for collecting his thoughts. There was still so much pain in him where Bucky Barnes was concerned. You'd worked for him in some capacity for nearly fifteen years and you'd never seen him as defeated as he'd been when he got off that Quinjet from Siberia. He'd been bloodied, battered and utterly broken, body and soul. Seeing him like that had shattered you, and you never wanted to live through something like that again.
Tony ran you through his experience with his therapeutic innovation, and you had to admit, it was impressive. The system had helped him realize that Bucky Barnes wasn't responsible for the heinous crimes Hydra had brainwashed him into completing, and so his anger over the death of his parents, while justified, had been misdirected.
"Once I processed that, it was a quick jump to realizing we can't be the best version of the Avengers if we only have half the team at home, and it's innocent people who would pay the price for it. So, when I reached out to Cap and he agreed to come back if I agreed to let him bring Barnes with him, well..." Tony trailed off, gesturing vaguely with his hand toward the where the rest of the team was waiting.
"So, you and Rogers are just, what? Good then? All water under the bridge?" you asked him, mild irritation clouding your voice.
"Oh, absolutely not." Tony took another sip of whiskey. "I can work with him again, and I'm glad to, but we're not going to be braiding each other's hair anytime soon."
"Good," you said, raising your glass in a mock toast to Tony. "I'm not quite ready to forgive him on your behalf just yet." Tony had essentially saved your life when you first met him, and he’d continued to support and guide your career to heights you could have never imagined. You'd started as a systems analyst and mechanical engineer at Stark Industries fresh out of college, and under Tony’s mentorship, it wasn’t long before you found yourself rising to the position of the company’s Chief Technical Officer, second in command only to Pepper, now that Tony had passed on the reins to her. All this happened long before he'd ever brought you in to work with him on the Avengers Initiative, and now you spent the majority of your time heading up their Technology and Innovation Department, as well.
Any kind of healthy respect you might have had for your boss had died out a long, long time ago, because Tony Stark  was Tony Stark, but now he was just Tony-- more like an annoying older brother you loved dearly,  whose name just happened to be on your paychecks. You owed him everything and that had earned him your unwavering loyalty. You'd follow him to hell and back again if he asked it of you, though he knew he’d never have to; you’d be paving the path there right alongside him.
The sound of laughter made its way across to you from the other side of the room and you felt warmth at the sound-- everyone, together again and happy. Just a few short months ago, you never would have been able to imagine the scene before you, not after the fight in Berlin and its brutal aftermath. You had thought for sure that this little family you'd found yourself in the middle of had been destroyed beyond repair.
So, you might have had your own reasons to be pissed at Steve Rogers.
"What's Barnes like?" you asked Tony. Having only ever glimpsed him from a distance, or from behind a computer monitor, you'd utilized all the resources at your disposal to dig up as much information on the Winter Soldier as possible, but even your skills hadn't been able to get you what simply didn't exist. "You know I don't like unknown quantities."
Tony seemed to think for a moment. "You mean, aside from being a brainwashed, murderous assassin?"
"Tony," you chastised. You knew that Barnes had spent a good deal of time in Wakanda before coming home to New York, working on having the words that triggered his homicidal alter-ego neutralized. Rogers may not always acted rationally when it came to making decisions about his oldest friend, but you were sure he wouldn’t be bringing Barnes back to the Tower if he posed a serious danger to the rest of you. Right?
"Fine," Tony said, with a typical exaggerated sigh. "Aside from being a former brainwashed, murderous assassin; better?" You rolled your eyes but nodded. "Don't really know, didn't care enough to ask. I'll be happy as long as he doesn't start murdering us all in our sleep. Cap vouches for him, so that counts for something. Maybe not as much as it did once upon a time, but something. But T’Challa seems to think he’s harmless enough now, so that’s good enough for me."
You nodded, taking another sip of your pineapple and Malibu, then leaned back, pensive. "Oh, God," you said after a moment of thought, sitting up in alarm. "You don't think it’s going to be like having an entire extra Rogers around, do you? All '40s morality and emotional repression? Because I am so over having him police my language." It wasn't that you had anything against Captain America as an Avenger, but there was only so much of the Boy Scout act you could take before you started getting nauseous. And okay, fine, you weren't too proud to admit it-- there was a not-so-small part of you that still hadn't forgiven him for what you saw as his blatant betrayal of Tony when he refused to sign the Accords. You'd promised to play nice, though, for the sake of your family, but your personal relationship with The Star-Spangled Man had taken heavy damage since Berlin.
Tony chuckled. "As if you'd ever let Cap's presence keep you from a good profanity. I should put out a swear jar. We could fund that crisis algorithm project of yours off your mouth alone."
"Fuck you, Tony," you uttered with a chuckle, fully aware that he had your number. You never met a four-letter word you didn’t fall immediately in love with.
"And look at that," Tony said with a smirk, "I just made another dollar. Hey FRIDAY, open up a new savings account and deposit a dollar into every time Pocket has a potty mouth."
"On it, Boss," the AI replied cheerfully.
You swore at Tony a few more times for good measure. "I fully intend to financially bleed you dry now, asshole."
"Oh no, I'm shaking in my custom Tom Ford's," Tony mockingly bemoaned, putting his feet, enclosed in the aforementioned ridiculously expensive loafers, up on the coffee table.
Raised voices from the other side of the room caught your attention. You stood up and craned your neck, trying to see what had caused the commotion. "I think they're here, Boss," you said.
"Alright," Tony said, standing up and putting an arm around your shoulder, "big smiles, kiddo. Remember, we're supposed to be happy about this." You suppressed a chuckle as you watched Rogers present Bucky Barnes to the rest of the team. Everyone was welcoming; you wouldn’t have expected any less, but as you watched their body language, the only word that came to mind was guarded. And you completely understood; The Winter Soldier’s reputation had preceded him, after all. There were hugs for Rogers, of course, but no one made any attempt to reach out to his friend.
Despite your overall annoyance with Rogers, you couldn't help but feel some degree of happiness for the giant oaf. When you'd been assigned on a mission with him (which happened fairly frequently, as he was so pathetically abysmal with anything having to do with technology) and ended up having to hole up in a safehouse for an extra couple of days while waiting for extraction, he'd started opening up to you about James Buchanan Barnes, and the reminiscing had made him so happy, you encouraged Steve to tell you everything about this Bucky. After that, the trouble was getting Rogers to stop telling his Bucky stories. If he wasn't sharing tales about growing up with his best friend during the Great Depression and all the absolute mischief they got into, he was sharing war stories of their time together with the Howling Commandos. He'd even shared his grief with you– how painful it had been to watch Barnes fall from that train and the guilt he carried for not being able to save him. He’d confessed to you once that, when he went into the ice, fully prepared to die, there was a part of him that was relieved to be reunited with Barnes in the next life, and waking up some 70 years later to a world where he was still alive but Bucky was still gone had broken his heart all over again. And yet, here they were– together in the next life, after all. If you were a different kind of person, you’d say it was a goddamn miracle.
Because of the way Rogers described his best friend in those old stories, you were expecting Bucky Barnes to come swaggering along next to him, with a cocksure tilt to his head and a panty-dropping smirk playing along his lips, but the man who accompanied Steve was the furthest thing from that.
He shuffled behind Rogers slowly, looking at the floor and avoiding making eye contact with anyone else from the team. His hair hung long and limp, curtaining off his face as though it were a protective barrier. Though, if it was keeping him away from everyone else, or everyone else away from him, you couldn't be sure. He was much thinner than you'd anticipated, especially for a super soldier– though still extremely muscular, giving you the impression that it had been a long time since he'd let himself indulge in anything more than the bare minimum amount of calories he needed for survival. Tilting your head, you tried to steal a glance at his infamous metal arm, the thing of legends that had turned him from a run-of-the-mill assassin into the stuff of waking nightmares.
But the sleeve of his jacket hung limp, only empty space where the appendage should have been.
Curious. He'd come to Tony Stark's home unarmed. Your hand flew to your mouth to try and stop the uncontrollable snicker that broke loose at your own stupid joke. Tony elbowed you gently in the ribs to shut you up, and you hoped you were too far away and the others too distracted by Steve's introductions to notice you, but that thought flew right out the window when Bucky Barnes' head snapped up at the sound, his eyes locking onto yours from across the room.
"Holy shit," you breathed, knowing another dollar would go into Tony's digital swear jar, but damn if the man didn't have the most striking blue eyes you had ever seen. There were dark circles under them, and he looked incredibly tired, yeah, but they were beautiful. You didn't mean to stare, but you found you couldn't look away, either, and so the two of you were locked into some sort of impromptu staring contest. The longer you looked at him, the more you could sense an overwhelming sadness coming from him, as well as a level of wariness at being in a room full of strangers. It was almost overwhelming.
But then, just as suddenly as it began, the spell was broken. Blinking once, Bucky looked away and you felt the tension vanish from between you.
"What was that about?" Tony asked you in a low singsong voice.
"I have no idea," you answered, honestly. There had been so much pain and loneliness in his eyes. You'd seen eyes like that before, when you were younger and looked at your own reflection in the mirror following a scalding shower with your skin scrubbed raw and bloody. You suppressed a shiver.
Finally, Steve managed to disengage himself and Bucky from the other Avengers and began making his way toward you and Tony. Up close, you were struck by how tall Bucky was. He had to be at least a foot taller than you, if not more. And God, he was handsome. Granted, in a kind of heroin-chic sort of way, but still. A couple of good nights' sleep, a few good meals, some light personal grooming, and... well, there was a very good chance you were going to be in trouble once he got his shit together, that was for sure.
"And Buck," Steve was saying, drawing you out of your ogling, "This is our resident computer genius, Pocket (Y/L/N). You ever need help with anything technology-related, she's your girl."
"A bit of an over-simplified version, Rogers," you said, sticking your hand out to shake Bucky’s, "but yeah, that about covers it."
Bucky looked at you, then down at your hand, making no move to take it.
"What the hell kind of name is Pocket?" he asked, voice rough as though he hadn’t been using it a lot. Pulling your hand back, you shot him an annoyed glare.
"I don't know," you oozed back sarcastically. "What the hell kind of name is Bucky?"
"It's his nickname, Pocket," Steve supplied helpfully, though not without a trace of confusion. You gave him an annoyed, pointed look.
"No shit, Rogers." You turned back to Bucky and spoke slowly, as if to a child. "So, what do you think Pocket is, then?"
"Oh," said Bucky, catching on. The corners of his mouth turned up ever so slightly. "Gotcha; m'sorry about that. My manners are rusty from a severe lack of use."
You didn't mean it, but your mouth curved up into a hint of a smile, too. And then, almost as if you couldn't stop yourself from doing it, you found yourself saying "I see you've arrived unarmed."
There was a long, heavy beat of silence as Steve and Tony stared at you, mouths slightly agape, and you wondered if you'd made a critical error. You were just about to punch yourself in the face and claim you had a concussion and therefore couldn't be held responsible for what you said when Bucky burst into laughter.
It was the most beautiful sound you'd ever heard, and it was contagious. Through your own laughter, you risked a glance up at Steve. He was looking back and forth between you and Bucky, an indiscernible look in his eyes, and you couldn't help but wonder how long it had been since he'd heard his best friend laugh. Hell, you wondered how long it had been since Bucky Barnes had laughed at all.
"Pocket," Tony groaned, palming his face, "that was truly terrible, even for you."
"I'm sorry," you said, trying to catch your breath through your burst of giggles. "It just slipped out-- I couldn’t help it. You know once these things come into my head, they just bounce around in there until they fall out. I didn't mean it."
Steve smiled at you. "So that's what you were snickering at," he said, amused. Damn that enhanced super soldier hearing. Rogers didn't need to be so nosy with it.
You shrugged. "What can I say? Bad jokes are my superpower. Don't be jealous that all you got was super strength and a six pack, Rogers."
Bucky laughed again, then nudged Steve playfully with his elbow. "I like this one, Stevie," he said. "She's funny."
You weren't sure why, exactly, but something in Bucky's words turned your insides into a warm puddle of goo.
Oh, you were going to be in trouble, indeed.

Shockwave ♤ Kiss The Spark
Might be my last TFP X Reader one-shot I'm dropping for now. I've got several other one-shots and even a full book that was in the works, but whenever I'll finish any, I have no idea.
[TL;DR] You really do be worrying your beloved cyclops scientist with the risks you take. And he finds it illogical.
Tumblr media
♤ ~ Comfort ~ ♤
It was a lazy day for the two of you. Megatron was busy leading the Decepticon cause, as usual, and left Shockwave to his tools. Said mech was trying to work on basically recreating a predacon while you were watching him. It did make him a little uncomfortable with how you were basically staring at him, but he would never out right say it.
You were just supposed to be a random human he could study and experiment on after you were kidnapped by Knockout months ago. But now you were the lover of the warship's scientist. Basically his Conjunx Endura, and he did show some affection towards you while feeling some sort of emotion despite having undergone shadowplay. At first it felt like you were treated like a pet, which you technically were in the Decepticon's optic, but it was obvious he was lying to himself over time as you began to worm your way into his spark.
Despite the months of love and care, he slowly started neglecting you due to the cause being his main priority. Sure, he did give you food and your own box corner that felt like a small apartment, but his affection towards you decreased and you were missing it. You were missing the freetime you had and spent simply roaming around the Nevada desert whenever you landed. You wanted to relive that.
"Hey, Shocky?" He didn't bother turning around to face you as he continued working, not answering. But you knew he was listening. "When do you have time to hang out again?" You asked with a hopeful gaze at the back of his helm.
He ceased his movements for a moment, turned his optic toward you and said, "Most likely when I am finished with this project. I do not know how long it will take. It would be most logical of you to simply wait."
You frowned at his response and started to make your way towards the door. "Oh, okay... I'll leave you to it then..." The giant metal doors slid opened for you and closed once you passed the threshold. Shockwave knew you left but didn't bother stopping you as the project took priority. However, that doesn't mean he didn't feel more empty when you were out of the room.
And it finally seemed too much after two agonizing hours of not having you around him. He told himself he would do a quick check-up on you to ensure you were all fine. So, he left the project on his table before making his way to the bridge where he knew Soundwave would possibly still be with you.
Unsurprisingly, he was right. Well, half right. Soundwave was at the bridge, but you were nowhere to be found. Of course there had to be a reason for it, and who would know better than the slender mech himself. "Soundwave," the cyclops started as he approached the other working Decepticon, "where is (Y/N)?"
The TIC ceased his movements before typing away again, revealing groundbridge coordinates on the screen. The coordinates seemed to lead into town, close to a few stores but far away enough for a small groundbridge to go undetected. Soundwave turned his helm towards the mech behind him as he slightly lifted a servo at the screen to point at it. Shockwave gave him a puzzled look- Or at least as puzzled as one could look with a single optic for a faceplate. "Why did you send them there?"
Instead of answering with more movements, Soundwave decided to simply play a voice clip he recorded of you in your own words. "Hey, Sounders, could I maybe go to town? I need to see if I can buy some material for [...]. I know it sounds weird, but hear me out-" The audio abruptly cut of before you could explain any further. And there was information missing, most likely to keep whatever you were planning a secret from the scientist. It seemed illogical for you to be plotting something behind his back however. Thus he didn't question the TIC any further about the audio.
"When will they return?" Soundwave played another clip in response, "I'll call you when I got everything, alright? Shouldn't take more than two hours max."
And as if on cue, a sudden personalized ringtone rang out on the bridge with an image of you on the screen. Their optics glanced at the screen before Soundwave answered the call. You sounded like you were out of breath. And Shockwave was able to feel your anxiety through your bond.
"H-Heya, Sounders!" You dramatically exhaled a large portion of air before continuing in a rather quick way. "Please don't tell Shocky, but I kinda ran into some trouble and am being chased by a gang with weapons. I managed to escape unscathed, but I sadly didn't get some other things." You took another deep breath. "And as much as I wanna grab some extras, I don't think I'd be alive on my way back if I did that. At least I got enough for one."
As both mechs became concerned, Shockwave decided to speak up. "(Y/N), are you in a safe location? Do you require a groundbridge immediately?"
The voice caught you by surprise, but you were also a little relieved to hear him. "I-I'm not far enough from people yet. I'm across the street from the gang right now and they seem to have lost me. But there's an alleyway here." You then proceeded to walk down the dark alley. "I don't think there's a second gang in here so I should be-" You cut yourself off as you looked behind you with wide eyes. The fear you gave off reached the scientist instantly.
"(Y/N)? Are you alright? What happened?" Your sudden silence made them even more worried. The silence wasn't there for long though as harsh winds clashed with your phone, indicating that you were running.
"They found me! I-I can't run any longer! My bags are- are slowing me down! And they want my bags and my money! But I need them! And whAT THE FUCK- WHY?!"
Turns out the alley had a deadend.
The two mechs could faintly hear one guy say something, but it was inaudible. But they could hear one who was closer. "You're right. Why should we just take their belongings if we could have some fun with them as extra?"
While the cyclops was able to feel your hopeless anxiety already, the call managed to catch the sounds of your sniffles. You hiccuped as you whispered into your phone, "I need you, Shockwave." You usually weren't scared of most things- Hell, you made a giant alien robot fall in love with you and managed to befriend others on the warship, deeming them as family! And they wanted to cyberform the earth! But being in this situation, alone, far away from your family, with just some useless things you bought... It scared you.
And this was something that truly angered Shockwave for once. The fact that you used his actual name instead of a nickname told him how trapped you truly felt.
It sent him over the edge.
"Soundwave. Groundbridge to their coordinates. Now", he commanded firmly.
The masked mech, despite being kind of surprised by the taller mech's sudden show of emotions, did as he was told. The scientist didn't waste time in running towards the now open swirly green portal. He didn't even bother transforming and using his holoform.
These humans deserved to suffer.
By his true form's servos.
You were backed up into the deadend when you noticed a familiar green light pop up behind you. Out of instinct you moved aside as the gang stared at it, not knowing if this were special effects to scare them off. That's when you saw Shockwave step out of the portal. He took a moment to take in his surroundings before spotting you next to his pedes, shivering from shock, but still smiling up at him with teary eyes. "H-Hi, hun..."
"Go home, sweetspark. I'll meet you there."
He said. Then he watched as you somewhat clumsily sprinted through the groundbridge, two bags in hand, before he turned back towards the group of humans.
"It would be illogical of me not to dispose of lifeforms that pose a threat to my sparkmate."
What was mercy? In that moment, he couldn't recall.
While waiting, you were next to Soundwave, being comforted by his tendrils as you held onto one like a big teddy bear. Your bags were sitting behind you. Shockwave finally returned a few minutes later, groundbridge closing behind him. His servo and pedes were completely bloody. You also spotted a bit of blood on the rest of his frame- even a tiny bit on the side of his helm. He walked up to your still slightly shaken form. "Did they harm them in any way?" He asked the other mech, who previously ran a scan on you as safety precaution.
Soundwave responded with a simple "Negative" audio as he retracted his tendrils from you, now that your biggest comfort was here. You reluctantly let go of the tendril when a servo gently wrapped itself around you instead, picking you up. The purple mech didn't say another word to the shorter mech and simply walked off, all the while placing you on his shoulder pad. Sure, you were now a little bloody too, but you could just wash your clothes. While Shockwave felt the comforting relief through your bond, he still was upset about your reckless logic.
"You left the ship without my authorization or knowledge." Most would view his monotone yet commanding voice as a sign of pure anger, but you knew that he was actually worried sick.
"B-But I-" "You could have been hurt and I would not have been able to protect you. From now on, you are to stay on the warship if I'm.not accompanying you", he stated firmly, placing you on the table and coldly turning away towards his project.
Now that you were finally back in the lab, he wouldn't need to worry about you being hurt anymore, despite his spark not wanting to shut up about the slight bit of worry. However, due to you still being upset about the previous situation, you couldn't help but tear up again. You honestly didn't mean to make him mad and worried. He could feel it.
"I-I'm so s-sorry", you whispered as you hiccuped. "I-I just w-wanted to make y-you a gift..."
This caught the scientist's attention as his ear fins moved. A gift... for him? You went through the lengths of sneaking out(, despite Soundwave's knowledge of course), going to town alone, and running away from a street gang... just to make him a gift? So, naturally he demanded for an explanation for this stunt you tried to do.
You pulled your bags closer to your body as you sniffled, rummaging through one of them. "I-I bought materials f-for a self-made gift..." You then pulled out some purple fabric from the bag. Almost the same shade of purple as his frame. "I-It was supposed to be a plush toy version... of you..." A small, sheepish smile made its way onto your lips. The tears may have stopped flowing, but you still didn't feel quite comfortable in what you were presenting him. It wasn't even finished, after all. And you weren't even sure if he would like it.
"Giving me a toy version of myself is illogical." For a second, a frown replaced your smile. Thinking he didn't like the idea, you slowly starting lowering your arm in disappointment, wanting to put the fabric away again so he wouldn't have to see it.
"O-Oh, sorry... I thought-" "But, I appreciate the sentiment", Shockwave quickly added as he approached you with his servo. One digit gently trailed up and down your arm in a comforting manner. "You may still continue creating it. I am not stopping you." Him using a gentler, lower tone made you smile again. You wrapped your arms around his digit and lightly cuddled into it, saying a small "Thanks" in return.
You swore your Conjunx's optic was glowing brighter than usual.
You managed to craft a rather big plush version of Shockwave. You were able to wrap both of your arms around it and cuddle with it like a big stuffed animal. It was still severely small in the scientist's optic, but he refused to handle it any less gentle than you when picking it up. It was so much softer than you, which amazed him.
A few days after you finished up the plushie, Shockwave asked you to wait for him in his habsuite.
Turns out he wanted you to touch his spark again. It's been a long time since you've last done so, which was when you became Conjunx Endura just a couple of months ago. And due to the bond mostly being a one-sided receiving one, he wanted to show you how much he appreciated you in his life. And touching his spark was the only way for you to receive his side of the bond.
You're the only one he's ever shown his spark to in such an intimate light. And you could feel how much he adored having you be this close to him, touching the very culmination of his being ever so gently. You even gave his spark some light kisses, making him ex-vent.
Content with your moment together, he gently positioned his servo against your small back, pulling you a little closer down onto his chassis.
He wouldn't trade you for anything, not even his loyalty to Megatron and the Decepticon cause.

Your boyfriend Steve had picked you up after work every day since the two of you had started dating 6 months ago.
He insisted it wasn’t a big deal – it was on his way home from his own job and it also meant he got to see you everyday, which he always insisted was the highlight of his day. You didn’t really enjoy walking home, and you did enjoy getting to look at Steve Harrington, so it seemed like a win-win.
You didn’t really think too much into it until tonight.
After your shift ended, you did the same thing you always did: you cleaned up a bit, clocked out, and pushed your way out of the back door and into the night air. When you looked over to where Steve was normally parked, leaning on his hood with his thick arms crossed over his chest, you only saw empty space.
Shrugging it off, you stepped to the side to lean back against the brick wall and wait. He’d never been late before but there was a first time for everything. Who isn’t late sometimes?
You waited an hour.
During that time, you’d stepped inside to try to call his house (no answer) and Family Video (wasn’t there). One of your coworkers had walked past and asked if you needed a ride home, but you were still positive Steve was coming to get you, so you waved him off. He wasn’t the type to just forget. Maybe he’d lost track of time or, god forbid, he got in some sort of accident.
You’d been considering just walking home and trying to call him again later when his maroon BMW comes careening into the parking lot.
It skids until the wheels lock up a safe distance away from the building, and by extension you, and has barely come to a full stop before the driver’s side door is rocketing open and a severely distressed Steve is jumping out.
“Honey! Hey, I’m…” He rounds the car toward you in a jog, voice raspy from being out of breath. “I’m so sorry I’m late, I can’t believe – wait, how late am I?” He flips his watch toward his face, squinting behind his wire rim glasses to try to read the time in the dark before they grow wide and flick back to you. “Oh my god, I didn’t – I’m so sorry – Sweetheart, I swear…”
He isn’t even able to finish a thought before the next one starts as his breathing only seems to start coming through faster, chest rising and falling visibly with the force of his inhales. When he reaches his hands out toward you, there’s a noticeable tremble in them and that, along with the flush of red crawling up his chest, clues you in that something is really not right.
“Steve, hey,” you step into his space, bypassing his outstretched hands and placing one of yours on his jaw and the other on his chest. “It’s okay, it’s really fine.”
“No, it’s not fine,” he murmurs, the space between his eyebrows folding into a sharp pinch. The next inhale he takes is choked, getting trapped in the bulk of his chest. “I’m so, so sorry. I… There’s no excuse, really, honest to god, there isn’t, I’m so sorry.”
Growing more concerned by the second, you step closer to try to ground him with your presence. You’ve seen Steve in moments like these before, when his anxiety feels like a python constricting around his chest, but it never gets any easier to watch. Especially not as his eyes start to water at the corners and the tremble of his hands infects the rest of him in a subtle shake.
“Hey, baby,” the petname, one that normally calms him down, produces a sharp inhale this time, like it was the wrong thing to say. “Why don’t you come sit in the backseat with me? Is that okay?” Your tone is slightly placating and you wish it wasn’t, but you’re at a bit of a loss for the best way to navigate this situation. Especially since you have little to no idea of what is causing his panic.
His eyes squeeze shut as the rest of his muscles go stiff, the tears that were collecting in the corners of his eyes falling swiftly down his reddened cheeks. Though it looks like it pains him, he gives a stunted nod and allows you to lead him back over to his car. You open the rear passenger side door and look over at him – he looks so lost and scared like this, 2 things you’re not used to your boyfriend being. But you’re here for it either way and motion for him to go in first, waiting for him to settle in the middle of the back before you slide in after him and shut the door behind you both.
The seal of the door makes the ambient noise of the outside fall away, leaving only the hum of the AC coming from the still running BMW. While you had worried it would feel too cramped for him at first, he had later explained to you that he didn’t find it cramped. It felt contained, which helped his panic when it came.
Twisting in your seat, you face him with a hand on his forearm. He stares straight forward, focusing far off. “I’m gonna sit in your lap, is that okay?” He doesn’t answer, just opens his arms and adjusts his legs to give you room to hop on. With the sedan’s low ceiling, it takes a bit of maneuvering, but you manage to crawl over to straddle his lap: knees by his hips, ass on his thighs, and hands resting on his chest. Almost instinctively, his arms wrap around you and pull you in to press along the entire front of his body.
Tucking your forehead against the side of his neck, you let him adjust as needed until he stills with his arms looped over your back. Like this, you’re effectively a warm, weighted blanket for him. A living, breathing one that grounds him to reality and gives him something to focus on. You make your breathing as obvious as you can, giving him a chance to try to mimic it, and listen to his heart rate slowly begin to lower with your ear pressed to his chest.
While the tension comes and goes in the silence between you for a little while, you know the worst of it has passed when his hands start to move. From stationary, they move into a subtle stroke along your curved spine from your position. Small at first, but gradually growing in length and firmness as he calms down further. You don’t want to push it, don’t want to move too soon, don’t want to cause him more upset, so you allow yourself to melt further into him with the soft touches and wait for him to be ready.
Eventually, Steve heaves a deep breath that comes much easier and fuller than those previous. It’s accompanied by a low hum that you feel more than hear from your place against his chest. His hands skate down to rest on your hips, giving a soft squeeze, before he murmurs, “Hey honey.”
With that, you slowly withdraw from your spot and straighten as much as you can, putting a few inches between your faces. His face is ruddy and his cheeks are damp, like he spent a lot of your hidden time crying, and you offer a sad smile through the stab of pain the sight causes you. “Hi handsome,” you hum back, tension easing when his mouth tilts in a shy smile. “You come here often?”
“Too often,” he replies with a soft, self-deprecating laugh. His hands slide further – from your hips to resting on the tops of your thighs. When he speaks next it’s rough and broken at the edges. “I’m sorry.”
Quick to react, you use your hands to cup both sides of his jaw, forcing him to keep eye contact with you to try to ebb any possibility of a second attack. “No sorries, no more.” You lean in to press a soft kiss to his pouting lips, pulling away just enough to press your forehead to his. “Nothing to be sorry for. I’m not mad, I’m not upset. You haven’t done anything wrong.”
His mouth presses into a tight line, jaw muscle rolling with tension as he clenches his teeth together. “I told Lucas I would drive him home after his game at the school tonight,” he explains through a sigh, eyes closed gently. “They went into overtime and he was out in the game, not even on the bench like he normally is, and I was just so excited for him. I completely lost track of time.”
“That’s okay, Steve,” you press your forehead a bit tighter before relaxing again. “That’s great for Lucas and I’m glad you had fun watching. It happens, losing track of time. Everyone does it once in awhile.” He heaves another shaky breath, the exhale ghosting warm over the lower half of your face from the proximity. “Do you want to talk about what just happened?”
You leave it up to him with no judgement. Sometimes he will say no, he’ll talk about it when he’s ready. But you always want to give him the option to talk about it right then when it’s fresh on his mind.
“I, uh… I thought you’d be mad.” He admits quietly, sounding ashamed. “Maybe not even mad but just… Disappointed?”
Your expression cracks, sadness filling you, but you wait to make sure you don’t end up interrupting. You’d learned your lesson that if you tried to make it too much back and forth, he would get distracted and lose his train of thought.
“I guess I was worried that being late would make you feel like you can’t trust me anymore. That I’m unreliable. And if I’m unreliable, then maybe you won’t want me to give you rides anymore. And if I don’t drive you home from work anymore then…” He pauses, the continuous train of thought reaching its conclusion that he hadn’t anticipated at the beginning. “If I stop being useful, you won’t want me around anymore.”
“Oh, baby…” You can’t help but sigh, heart twisting in pain for the boy in front of you. “I don’t spend time with you because you’re ‘useful’. I’m not dating you because of the things you do for me or something like that. I like you because you’re you, Steve Harrington.” His eyes open when you say his full name, a bit watery behind the now smudged lenses. “You’re kind and loving and brave and genuine. Not to mention, kind of a stud muffin.”
He huffs a small, wet laugh at that, bringing little smiles to both of your faces. The sadness in his eyes begins to shift, steadily growing into awe and adoration the longer he looks at you. “You could never pick me up from work again and I would still be just as stupid crazy for you as I am right now, swear to god.”
“Oh yeah?” He sniffles slightly, clearing his throat as he tries to regain some footing. “How stupid crazy are we talking here? Because I think I might be a little bit deeper,” he teases, hands squeezing the meat of your thighs as his smile slowly grows.
“How about this,” you lean in to press one more quick kiss to his pink lips before you pull back to look at him head on. “How about we agree that I’m crazy for you and you’re stupid for me and we’re even in our prospective fields?”
“Prospective fields?” His head shakes with his shoulders when he chuckles again, the warmth of his smile once again meeting his bright eyes. “You’re kind of a nerd, you know that right?”
“Yup!” You answer happily, “That’s why I’m the crazy one and you’re the stupid one.”
“Oh gee, thanks,” comes his mocking reply, eyes rolling heavily. “It’s a good thing you’re cute, because you’re trouble.”
Fingers trailing down from his jaw to rest on the front of his chest, you aren’t able to bite back your cheeky grin. “I thought you liked that about me.”
With a grin that mirrors your own, his hands make an opposite trail, going from your thighs, brushing over the flesh of your ass before gripping tight on your hips again. “I do. I like everything about you actually.”
Flustered suddenly by the flattery, you hide your sudden shyness by leaning back in and wrapping your arms around his shoulders in a hug. He returns the embrace, leaving the two of you closer to how you had been when you first got in the car.
“Thank you, sweetheart,” he murmurs into your hair, fingers once again brushing up and down your spine. “For everything.”

Nanami Kento was a man of his word, it was an undeniable fact.
But it was difficult for him to keep his word when you were so deliciously rubbing your body under the hot water. Taking showers together was a ritual both of you had gotten accustomed to a long time ago: no matter how tired or upset you were, a shower before sleep had to be shared. Kento couldn’t get enough of your smooth skin under his calloused fingers, and the sweet scent of the shower gel he inhaled while peppering kisses along your neck. That was his stress relief, a solace in his gloomy days.
“Ken”, you said in a low voice, “could you rub my back, please?” He hummed and took the loofa from your hands, pressing it to your soft skin. Drawing circles of bubbles, Nanami pushed his body close to yours, his hand with the loofa going under your breasts.
“Are you done there?” You whispered, your body leaning on his.
“Mhm”, he replied, moving the loofa to your collarbones and then back to your breasts. “Care to put the loofa away?” You nodded, putting it back to the shelf. As you stood under the hot water, Nanami watched how your hands roamed around your body, washing the strawberry gel off, eyes closed. Your cheeks got a bit rosy as the water temperature was to your liking: boiling. When you shared the shower for the first time, Kento almost fainted and you had to help him go back to the bed and whispered countless apologies by peppering kisses all over his palms. Little did nineteen-year old Kento know four years later he’d be looking forward to these showers.
“Come here”, you peered at him with hazy eyes as he cupped your cheeks. Having left a small kiss on your forehead, Kento pecked your lips. They were silken, pillowy against his; the addicting feeling of this moment, when your breath would softly tickle under his nose and your half-lidded eyes pierce through him. “I love you”, he muttered as his fingers caressed your cheek, “I love you more than anything in the world”.
You gave him a smile in response, arms wrapping around his neck. Warmth blossomed in Kento’s chest as you tilted your head and parted your lips, inviting him to finally kiss you. In a flash, his lips were on yours, hands tightened on your waist. You tasted like mango flavored tea and chocolate ice cream the two of you shared after dinner. Nanami’s head started spinning — was it the boiling water? — no, the intoxicating taste of you on his lips was driving him absolutely insane. How could it be possible to ever let this go, to ever abandon these little whimpers ‘cause his hands grabbed your ass without stopping the kiss?
“Kento”, you gasped, burying your head in the crook of his neck, “Kento, please”. Before he knew, you were leaving sloppy, wet kisses alongside his jaw. Stopping himself from letting out a moan, Nanami moved his hand lower, right to your aching core.
“Uh, Kento”, you rasped, “fuck me here. Please, Ken, fuck-“
Nanami growled. Your pleas were always a song to his ears, a sweet little melody he was eager to hear whenever he could. When his fingers ran through your slick folds, he closed his eyes and hissed — the man was about to break his word given to you several months ago. Wouldn’t he appear as a horny teenager in your eyes if he indulged in it now?
“Ken, what’s wrong?” Your hands cupped his cheeks as you forced him to look at you. Nanami sighed, hands reaching behind you to turn the water off.
“I don’t want you to get hurt”, he mumbled, arms wrapped around your torso. “I almost dropped you the last time we-“
“Ken”. You interrupted him, your warm lips brushing against his. “You don’t have to hold me, when we have sex”, a small peck left on his lips, “I can just… turn around”. A suggestive look on your face got his dick twitching, aching for being buried inside your velvety walls. But Nanami shook his head as he kissed your forehead.
“I wanna see your face”, he purred in your skin.
“My face or my tits?” You laughed. He returned a smile and kissed you lightly.
“Both”.
Less than two minutes passed before the two of you were on the bed, your back pressed against cotton sheets as Nanami devoured your lips with his. He still kept his promise, though — I’m not gonna fuck you in the shower ever again, for your sake — as he couldn’t drop you from the bed. The last time your wet pussy was bouncing on his shaft, he almost dropped your body on the floor when his foot slipped. Holding you while standing, gripping your butt when he pounded into you while you gripped his shoulders and repeated his name as a mantra was a view worth fucking you right in the shower; but when he almost lost his balance and let go of your legs, Nanami had his heart pounding in his chest at the mere thought of injuring you. So he swore to you a thousand times he wouldn’t do it again: neither sex nor any form of foreplay.
The word was kept, still.
Kento’s tongue swirled on your hardened nipple, making you arch your back, pressing your chest even closer to his. Your fingers gripped his hair, as you were lost in the sugary pleasure his mouth was giving you. Nanami hummed as he sucked on your sensitive nipples one by one, earning a hoarse moan from you.
“Gonna finger you, hm?” He murmured, sucking in between your breasts, making sure to leave a purple mark. That was only the beginning.
“No, no'', you panted; Kento looked at you, eyes clouded with lust. “Want you inside, Ken, please”. You leaned in to press his lips back to yours in a heated kiss. “Baby, please”, your brain was already half-working as you could only beg for him to put this distance between you to a halt.
“Whatever you want, princess”, he breathed out in your mouth, tongue running along your neck as you grabbed his shoulders. He brought your gaze back to his face when he watched you draw your lower lip between your teeth as he pumped himself before lining at your entrance. “Sure you’re ready?”
You started nodding frantically, hands back to cupping his cheeks. “I fin-, mhm” you closed your eyes when he ran the tip of his cock along your slick folds, “I fingered myself before you came home. Really, really”, you arched your back again as Nanami pressed his thumb on your clit, “I’m really ready, baby”.
“Anything for you”, he lowered his head to meet your lips in a sloppy kiss one more time before he slipped the tip inside. Earning a tiny gasp from you, Nanami buried his head in the crook of your neck. He could’ve come right then and there, when your plushy walls devoured the tip of his dick; to be fair, a mere sight of your begging for him was enough for him to cum without even touching you. “I love you so much”, his voice, thick with lust and desire, reached the deepest parts of you, bringing you to a hazy state of mind.
Nanami pushed his thick cock inside you slowly, languidly, his mind absorbing in every whimper and mewl that was leaving your peachy lips. His girl, so desperate for him, so ready, so wet — his, his and his only. His first love, the love of his life, his fiancée, his future wife, his entire existence wrapped in the most desirable woman in the whole galaxy. “I love you”, your hungry kisses were followed by him bottoming out completely, “Ken, I love you so much”.
Oh, darling, he thought, fingers gripping your waist, how I love you. He was moving, his cock slowly ravishing your dripping cunt. He grunted as he saw your finger creep up to your pulsating bundle of nerves; brushing your hand off, Nanami replaced it with his thumb.
“You wanna cum already?” He chuckled under his breath while drawing painfully slow circles on your clit. “Hope you’d do it a bit later”, your quivering body gave him exactly what he wanted: you gripping the sheets as you gasped for air, lost in pleasure.
“Kento!” A smack on the shoulder slapped Nanami back into reality. Oh no. He was in front of his computer, gray office walls dawning on his already somber world. He was daydreaming again. “Wanna go for a smoke?” His colleague said quietly; Nanami nodded, taking the cigarette pack out of the bag and following the man to the elevator. A couple of more people joined them on the way; Kento kept up with the conversation absentmindedly while the elevator was going to the first floor.
Ah, it was raining again. Standing under the roof in the designated smoking area, Kento’s thoughts flew to your nagging whenever the rain started. Despite having to deal with downpours constantly due to the country’s weather, you still found yourself cursing whenever a drop of rain hit the ground. Nanami laughed at your screwed face, leaving a sweet kiss on your cheek to soften your expression. He loved your sulky days, and he loved your sunny shy smile whenever he’d made you happier in your greyest mood. Was it also raining in Tokyo? Were you whining while sitting behind your desk at school? Did you take the umbrella with you in the morning? Or you forgot it as you usually did?
He could’ve just taken the phone from his pocket and called you. He could’ve just asked. Like, was it hard?
It was, actually. He was the one to leave you, the one to abandon the love the two of you had been building for over a decade — just because he got scared. Scared to death, frankly speaking. He knew he could live his life not being a jujutsu sorcerer, but… Could he drag you along with him? Could he allow his selfishness and fear to draw you away from your friends, students, your life? Of course, you were on the same page about stopping doing this job once you two finally settled down, but were you really ready to do that?
“I-I” You stuttered under his piercing gaze. “Right now?”
“Right now”. He repeated. “Either we leave right now or we never do it”.
“Ken, I…” You thought trailed off as you sighed loudly. “I didn’t even… I never thought it would be… So fast. I still need time to think”.
He took it too personally, now he understands that. You weren’t rejecting his offer, on the contrary actually: you were ready to go to the end of the world with him, follow him to the darkest depths of Hell — but he didn’t want you to think it over more than you did. The Jujutsu world was dangerous and he was tired of losing people and harming innocents. He gave it up once, easily; however, you couldn’t. And now, six months later, Nanami has finally realized it.
“What a moron”, he mumbled, throwing the cigarette into the bin. Leaving all his life behind and for what? For the mirage of peace? For the misery he covered with indifference? Being a sorcerer goes along with loss, principal Yaga once told him, if you manage to get used to it, it’ll be easier, Kento. Because, no matter how hard it is, loss is not the only thing this life gives you.
“Hey, Nanami”, his colleague took a cigarette from his pack, “y’know that Haruka from the marketing team likes you, right?”
“So what?” Kento stared the man down; he saw Haruko almost every day and certainly noticed her cheeks turn bright color red whenever he spoke to her. Whatever. She wasn’t the one Kento’s mind was focused on; no one could replace the girl with pigtails, who would give him a timid kiss on the cheek before every class. The girl he fell in love with, running to her at any moment given, and the woman who he left behind several months ago, running from her to an unknown, dark future. At least, there’s no more loss, he’d gaslight himself, at least, no one’s suffering because of me. He hoped you grew to hate him now; he hoped you didn’t cry yourself to sleep because he abandoned you. He hoped for that, but he was perfectly aware of it not being true.
“She’s really hot, though”, the man noticed, “you’d better do something before someone else snatches her”.
“I don’t care”. Nanami sighed and headed back to the office. That was true; the only woman he cared about was five hundred kilometers away, taking the subway to work, running around the school, teaching kids her techniques and protecting them on missions, throwing herself in front of danger — just to save everyone she loved.
Would you take him back if he flew back to Tokyo and showed up at your shared apartment? If he were you, he wouldn’t. If he were you, he’d beat himself to death, throw punches with his cursed technique, but he wouldn’t take himself back. You didn’t deserve the mess he’d created, thinking he was the most righteous man on Earth, you didn’t deserve the pain he’d inflicted on you by leaving, abruptly, a small note on the kitchen counter replacing his words. He was a coward. And you didn’t need to welcome a coward like him back with open arms.
Nanami Kento wasn’t a man of his word, this is an undeniable fact. Because if he truly was then he wouldn’t have ever left the woman he promised to stay with forever.

- no outbreak au, age gap is about fifteen years, roughly. -
He chuckled again and nodded, watching as you almost turned away from him and his place at the bar, before catching you at the last second.
"You look mighty pretty, tonight," he let out sweetly, and your face lit up. You kept going in the direction of your friends but stepped backward in order to face him a bit longer.
The bar was always busy on Friday night, and most Saturdays were the same. Near every person of drinking age in Travis County could be found sitting at the long wood slab surrounding the bartender, or at one of the tables nearby. The busiest nights of the month, however, were the ones that cleared the floor for dancing. Line dancing, Swing dancing, and the sway of drunken people who could barely stand. Anything goes.
Music blazing through the windows brought on many patrons that sometimes never frequented the bar at all. You being one of them.
You'd never been one much for drinking your nights away, and in past experiences, you had turned out to be quite the designated driver. Your friends playfully joked time and again whenever you visited the establishment, how you never touched even so much as a beer bottle. In your own words, that doesn't mean I can't still have fun.
Dancing has always been something that could pull you out of your seat. College has been rocky, and finding fun things to do that didn't completely intoxicate you were limited... but when everyone gets up and starts kickin' round the concrete floors, you can't help but spring to your feet and join them.
Dance nights, you've been to more than you can count, but usually in places by where you go to school. College bars, campus built clubs, that sort of thing.
Tonight, you found yourself in a small bar your dad normally goes to. Of course, he hates dancing, so right now, he's nowhere to be seen. Someone you do notice on your way in, though....
Joel Miller.
Next door neighbor since you were sixteen and your father's closest friend since they started working together around that same time.
Joel was never someone you'd been able to call a personal friend, but he was someone you could depend on if you needed him. If your car wasn't working senior year and your dad couldn't pick you up? Call Joel. If you need help with the light fixture by the front porch and your dad doesn't have the right tools? Call Joel. Even just bringing home new furniture for your room while your dad was out of town... you called Joel. He was dependable, always one call away. In return of these good deeds, you'd babysat his daughter several times when she was younger. She was almost fifteen now, going into her sophomore year of high school. It felt crazy to think how long ago those memories were in hindsight.
You think your train of thought causes you to stare just a bit too long, and your friends begin to notice.
"Who's that?" Amy says with attitude... she isn't sure why the older guy in the corner seems to have caught your eye, but she doesn't hide her opposition to whatever it is.
You snapped back to the group and almost did a double take on where you were. It's Dance night, and you're here to have fun with your friends, not take a trip down memory lane. But if you did....
"That's my neighbor," you explained, smiling sweetly and trying to wipe the strange look from Amy's face.
"Oh," she dropped any hints of disgust that she wore only a moment ago and looked to the man herself. "For a minute there, I thought you might be into him."
"Amy, I know you don't go older... but that man's easy on the eyes," a voice came from your left, Kate. She had her hands mounted firmly on her hips as she took her time in scanning his appearance. Easy on the eyes, indeed. You'd always thought so.
He's a good man from everything you know. Everytime he's been at barbecues and house parties hosted in the neighborhood, he always made a point to ask you how you were doing, how you were liking college. He'd offer to grab you a drink or to help your dad with the grill. Honest to God, he's a real down to earth southern gentleman. Polite as they come, even when he doesn't speak much.
You suppose that with three younger girls staring holes through the side of him, he was bound to notice at some point. He caught your gaze and your friends' as well, offering up a nice smile and a nod in your direction. He stood away from the bar as if excusing him from any previous interaction, and you sighed, knowing that even with the music calling you to dance, you needed to make a small pit stop.
"Look at what y'all did, now I gotta go talk to 'im," you joke, starting over in his direction with a bashful smile.
You hear a bellowing 'you're welcome' from Kate, who likely could sense your faint attraction to the man. Given that you couldn't barely take your eyes away from him the second you entered, it dawned on her that there might possibly be something there. Obviously, she's just guessing, but your diminished swagger as you walk up to him tells her one thing: you're nervous.
Whether he makes you nervous, or you're just nervous to talk to him, it doesn't really matter to her. She's positive she's gained all the information she needs to know that you, at the very least, like him.
"Hey, I didn't think I'd see you here," you slipped beside him at the bar, facing his slumped over stature with a decent distance between you.
"I could say the same for you, I thought you were still in Dallas?" He asked, a confused look shown through a soft smile.
"I'm here to visit a while, might stay for the summer, actually."
He raised a brow, nodding and taking a swig of the beer he had. Maybe it's just the way him and your dad drink them all the time, but suddenly a beer of your own sounds somewhat appealing. You add on to your statement, trying to distract yourself from the new craving.
"Senior year is gonna kick my ass, so I might as well spend some time relaxin' for a bit."
Again, he nods, understanding how much stress it ought to be. He and your dad both never went to college. Thought about it, sure, maybe even looked at a couple schools... but they ended up doing just fine with the talents they had on their own.
"I imagine the last year s'not so fun... Remind me what you're going for, again?" He scratched the back of his neck, as if embarrassed to have forgotten. He reckons he asked you last time, too. Wasn't like you'd find it personally offensive that he'd not remembered. Your own grandmother couldn't even remember, so...
"Archeology, although I'm starting to think that maybe that wasn't the best Major for someone who lives in Texas," you joked, and he chuckled softly. He hadn't stopped wearing that faint smile ever since he'd noticed you were here.
"Ain't nothing wrong with it," he shook his head, trying his best to be encouraging. "Just gives you more places to go."
You gave him a look of sincerity. Even your dad had poked fun at you from time to time for your Major. 'Can't discover much out here, lovebug... just old pigskins and bottlecaps.'
"Thanks, I appreciate you sayin' that."
He shrugged as if it were no big deal. Validating your career decisions? That's an easy one on his part.
"No problem. Can I get you a drink while you're here?" He motioned to the bottle in his hands that you'd kept staring at during the entire exchange.
You finally realized how much you'd been glancing at it and had to stumble out a response under a slightly nervous laugh.
"Is it okay if I take a raincheck? I should get back to my friends, they get lost without me."
He chuckled again and nodded, watching as you almost turned away from him and his place at the bar, before catching you at the last second.
"You look mighty pretty, tonight," he let out sweetly, and your face lit up. You kept going in the direction of your friends but stepped backward in order to face him a bit longer.
"Don't look so bad yourself." And that was the reply you'd settled on. You finally made it back to your group, but you swore you saw a hint of a blush creep over the man's face. It was funny, to think that the big and strong next door neighbor was red in the cheeks by a compliment you paid him.
"What the hell was that?" Amy asked, crossing her arms over her chest. She was clearly confused and a bit peeved, but for why, you had no idea.
"What do you mean?" You didn't mean to play dumb, you genuinely didn't know what she was on about.
"You're into him," she said flatly, and you couldn't answer in words, but lucky for you, your face gave away everything you could have said, anyways.
"He's into her, too," Kate chimed in nonchalantly, and that revelation snapped your head around as quickly as it possibly could to meet her eyeline.
"No, he isn't... he's just bein' polite s' all," you denfended him, but in all honesty... if he was into you, it's not like you were appalled at the theory in the slightest. "He's my dad's buddy, I've known 'im a long time."
"Honey, let me offer you some good advice," Amy pulled you in so that only the group of you could hear. "Don't let your daddy know he looks at you like that."
You didn't even stop to think about how he was looking at you. It was the same he'd always looked at you, right? But then again, he'd never taken in your appearance and called you pretty like he'd just done. Mighty pretty...
"You guys are seein' things that aren't there..." you shook off their suggestions, and tried to get on with the night.
"If you say so," Kate replied, not without looking between you and that neighbor of yours again. He was certainly a looker. "But if you're not interested, maybe I'll ask him for a dance?"
You laughed a little, not wanting to discourage her idea, but knowing from experience that, "Joel doesn't dance, but you can ask him all you want."
"Mister neighbor guy has a name, huh? Joel..." Amy repeated it like it was some sort of spell. You laughed at her and Kate before speaking again.
"At this point, I don't care who you ask, but we came here to dance, s' I wanna dance."
The first few dances you participated in were just lines, several fun songs blasting over the speakers to bring out more patrons. Now, the lines broke apart and the song 'Step in the Name of Love' came on. It wasn't uncommon for this song to be played as it was a favorite in the bar, but you weren't interested in dancing to it at the moment, given that some swing partners started going out for it.
They seemed to agree with you and headed over towards the open floor. The lights of different colors rotated around the room to set the mood, and about fifteen other people had been drawn out to the cleared area for dancing by now, but the night was far young.
-
You watched as Amy and Kate wrangled themselves some lonely boys by the sidelines and pulled them to the clearing for some fun. Normally, you'd do the same, but something about Joel Miller being at the bar and watching the crowds made you feel like maybe you'd rather sit this one out. Didn't stop some poor soul from trying to get you out there, though.
You felt a sly hand pull you by the waist and away from the floor-to-ceiling wooden beam you'd been leaning on. He was cute, but not your type. Blondie, blue-eyed. You gave him a warm smile and shook your head.
"I'm takin' a little break," you nodded for him to go out and find someone else, but he continued to pull you, now by your forearms.
"C'mon, hot stuff," he started swaying a bit to try and get you to do the same, but again you pulled back into the beam, leaning there again and giving a slightly less friendly smile as you shook your head again. "S' just a little fun."
At this point, you knew he probably had a few drinks in him, if his glazed stare was anything to go by. You crossed your arms over your chest and looked at him more pointedly.
"There's a bunch of girls over there waitin' to dance, you should ask them."
"I didn't ask them, I'm askin' you," he started getting closer again, and you were about to just walk away and go to the bathroom. Your usual escape plan for avoiding weirdos.
"And I'm sayin' no, bud," you gave your last effort to shove him off, but he huffed, and came even closer. By now you'd missed your chance to cut around the beam and head to the bathroom. Boys down here ain't as courteous as the ones in Dallas, you guessed. That, or they didn't see unfamiliar faces around often, and tried to take advantage of it.
"Hey, baby... you ready for that drink?" A voice came from your left, and you turned to see Joel coming over, an innocent enough look on his face, though you knew he'd been watching and came to help you out.
"Yeah, definitely!" You smiled brightly at him and the guy took a step back to stare him up and down. Much bigger build, much older, and you knew him by the looks of it. The kid huffed out and knew he wasn't getting his way this time around. You sidestepped him now that you had room, and dismissed yourself, "Excuse me."
You hooked your arm around Joel's elbow as you walked back towards his spot at the bar. Standing here, now, you realize he had a perfect view of your situation.
"Thank you for saving me," you laughed, sticking close by him until you were sure that kid had gone off. "This doesn't usually happen in Dallas."
He shook his head, it was no problem. Didn't need thanks, just wanted for you to be where you were now.
"I've seen that kid here before, he's harmless... but I wanted to make sure you didn't feel uncomfortable by 'im," his explanation felt like he was trying to justify himself. As if he needed a reason for saving you.
"Even so, I appreciate it. I didn't feel like swingin' tonight," your own explanation followed, but one second later it felt like a lie... you wouldn't mind swinging with him, but he doesn't dance.
"Yeah, I'm not much one for any of it," he chuckled, confirming your last thought to be completely true. Joel does not dance. "You looked good out there, though."
You ducked your head in an attempt to hide the pink spread over your face, but he seemed to catch it. He smiled to himself. He'd never been like this around you before, but maybe the reason for that would be the lack of presence of your dad. He'd never dare to look at you like this in front of him, never did before.
"It's been a while since I came to a dance night here, figured I'd show my face again," you stumbled into your reply, a little nervous again from his words. He'd been watching you from here, you can tell just by turning your head that he had a good view of the floor, too.
"I'm glad to see you back," he tapped his beer on the counter slightly, his smile still evident. "How about that drink?"
The bartender had been close by, and you hailed him over to grab you a beer. Same one Joel was drinking. You didn't have a preferred taste to any drinks in specific, but both Joel and your dad drank Bud, so you were going to try one.
You took a sip when the bottle was in your hand, and even though you didn't expect yourself to like it... it wasn't bad at all. You went for another sip and Joel chuckled at your side.
"S' good, huh?"
"Better than I thought it would be."
By now you'd gotten used to the taste, and as you kept drinking, the words you said to him became easier to say. You weren't quite buzzed yet, but rather relaxed. Whether that had anything to do with the alcohol, or just that he was a familiar presence, you didn't really know.
"So how are things? I know Sarah's goin' into sophomore year, yeah?" you asked, the counter becoming your friend as you leaned more into it.
"Been fine," he thought about it some more, remembering what Sarah had been telling him. "She's glad to have a break from school, but she's real bright, gets all A's n' that sort of thing."
"She's probably gonna have schools lined up to give 'er scholarships in a few years," you told him, and he nodded, taking a moment to let it sink in.
"I can't be thinkin' that far ahead, already blows my mind that she's in high school."
"My dad used to say the same thing," you smiled faintly at the way he used to tell you, 'Stop gettin' so big, girl. Gonna have to start carryin' a shotgun around, keep the boys away.' "Guess I'm all grown up, now."
That, he knew for a fact.
"Yeah, grown up," he repeated, taking another swig of beer before turning back to face you.
You'd seemed to have something on your mind, but until now, weren't able to voice it. Maybe the alcohol was doing it's job after all.
"I know you don't dance," you started, and he chuckled lowly. He knew where it was going but didn't dare interrupt you. Not yet, at least. "Maybe just this once you'll make an exception."
He actually thought about it for a second. Maybe he could make an exception, just this once, for you. He'd been caught in a few conversations by some buddies who were here tonight, but besides that, he'd mostly entertained himself by keeping an eye on you. Watching you dance, talking with your friends, and then getting hit on by that blonde kid.
"How about next time?" He asked, knowing how slim the chances were that he'd be at another dance night over the summer. He'd only come tonight because a few buddies had been here.
You understood that was the nice way of saying no, and you understood he wasn't much for that kinda fun. You didn't blame him, it took a certain type of personality to enjoy the spectacle.
"I know s'not your scene," you sighed out and set the now empty bottle on the ledge of the bar. "But I'll be out there incase you change your mind."
He gave you a small nod and you turned to leave, but with the confidence flowing through your veins in the form of a beer, you stepped back up to him quickly, pressing the smallest kiss you could conjure against his cheek, "Thanks for the drink."
You didn't even wait to see how he reacted, you were already turned around and ready to go back to the dance floor. You found your friends by the edge of the room, and they'd just come off from swinging.
"Where'd you go? We didn't see you the last few dances."
"Some kid was givin' me a hard time... Joel scared 'im off easy," you told them, and though Amy seemed to not notice the implications, Kate seemed rather intrigued.
"He did, huh?" She gave you a pointed look with her eyebrow raised.
"Oh hush, I'm back aren't I?" You gave her a playful smack to the arm and she held her arms up in defense.
"So, you gonna dance now, or what? Thought that's what you came here to do?" She mocked, using your words from earlier.
Truth be told, you wanted to dance, but with the kind rejection of the person you'd wanted to dance with, the mood had been changed slightly.
The current song was ending, and in only seconds the next one to start playing drew droves of people onto the floor. It's been a pretty popular song as of lately in the line dance society.
Take it off, by Kesha.
You knew the steps, the walls, the restarts. Probably better than any other song you'd danced to tonight. It had been a favorite of yours in Dallas, and you wouldn't lie, you were glad to see it made it's way into Travis County.
Your friends squealed and pulled you along to the floor, and you didn't even try to fight them off. You went to the back corner, which coincidentally (not at all) could be seen the easiest from the part of the bar that Joel was hanging out by. At the start of the song he'd been engrossed in conversation by the person next to him, but once he caught wind of you stepping foot into the mix, he'd fixed his attention in your direction. His buddy still rambled on, but he'd only give an occasional nod, or a soft 'uhuh,' to tell the man he was listening.
You had waited for the chorus until you looked right at him. You did the steps, and given that the wall was facing the bar, you wanted to be a little punk and tease him.
He'd watched as you stepped and turned, how the jersey you were wearing loosely hung onto you when you did. You'd worn black fringe boots with a pair of black shorts and fishnets beneath them. The shorts could barely be seen for the length of the Ranger's jersey over everything.
You saw him tense up a little, and you couldn't be sure if it was your doing, but it didn't matter... you were determined to get a reaction out of him regardless.
You took the skip step and followed the instructions of the song:
Turn me on...
Now, turning towards the other side, you grabbed the bottom hem of your jersey:
Take it off....
And you did. The polyester knit fabric was pulled up and over your head to reveal the tight black tank underneath, cropped at the mid section and clinging to midly sweaty skin. You flung the jersey to a corner of the room, and some of the guys on the floor were whistling.
Joel's eyes never left yours, even as you turned and faced the next wall. Every time you turned around, you were looking right back at him, a smirk plastered over your lips as you mouthed the words. His jaw clicked, and he huffed deeply, finally out of conversation with the man beside him. He drank the rest of his beer and left the bottle on the countertop.
You didn't realize he'd left the bar until you had turned from the last wall. You kept dancing, but couldn't find him anywhere in the bar. Maybe he'd been fed up with you and gone home... but that was unlikely.
You waited for the song to end, then stepped off the floor, nodding for your friends to stay through the next song. You told them you were gonna try and find your jersey, and they were more than happy to keep dancing without you.
You scanned the room, now able to see behind the crowds of dancers, but couldn't see Joel even still. You went up to the bar to see if he'd just moved seats, but he wasn't around there either.
You figured he did actually go home, because when you looked and saw the clock on the wall, it read 12:05. Sure, it was a weekend. But Joel's a set schedule kinda guy. You knew he'd probably already been out too late.
You turned back around and went searching instead for your jersey, but it hadn't been where you threw it. You could swear tonight was just a night for you to loose things, until there was a tap on your shoulder.
You spun around and smiled widely.
"You lookin' for this?" Joel stood with your jersey clutched tightly in his hand. He held it out to you and you took it thankfully, sliding it back on.
"Yeah, thank you," you'd waited to say anything further until your head had peaked through the top. "I didn't see you at the bar, figured you'd gone on home."
"I was thinkin' bout heading out soon, wanted to make sure I saw you first."
You weren't exactly sure of his meaning, but damnit, the sparks in your skin when he said those words. Your stomach fluttered and you almost didn't know what to say.
"Well to be honest, I'm glad you caught me... I'm thinkin' about calling an uber and gettin' outta here, too."
He raised a brow and proposed an idea.
"I can take you home, if you want." The offer was kind and genuine, but to be completely honest, he just wanted the extra time with you. He liked being near you, because you were good company, and also... mighty pretty. "Not like it's out of my way."
You laughed lightly at his joke. Truly, why waste the time in calling someone else to drive you home when he could do it? He lived next door, it would be crazy not to.
"That would be great, actually," you agreed, smiling to him in thanks but then turning back to the dance floor. "I ought to go let them know."
He nodded and let you off, watching as you went to find your friends. They seemed like nice girls. Not quite like you, but nice all the same. You seemed to enjoy their company well enough.
You found them by the edge of the floor, heaving and sweaty from the last dance. They saw you and waved you over, sitting into some chairs by the wall.
"Are you gonna swing at all?" Amy asked, her hands on top of her head to control her breathing.
"No, I think I'm done for tonight," you handed Kate the watter bottle she'd gestured for you to grab her on the next table. "But you guys are good, I got a ride home."
Amy dropped the look of neutrality on her face when she realized.
"With the neighbor?" Her eyes went wide when you nodded, but you hadn't illuded to anything else, just that he was giving you a ride home.
"Girl, I knew it. I'm never wrong," Kate jumped in, looking around the bar to see where he was at. "That man's got it for you."
"Y'all just needa calm down, alright? He's just bein' nice... Besides, he lives right next door, it's not like he's going out of his way for me."
Kate rolled her eyes and sat back in her seat, waving you off. She wasn't annoyed, but she knew you weren't telling them everything, and she knew that the man next door, Joel, was clearly attracted to you in some capacity.
"Alright, girl, you go on, now.... and enjoy your ride."
Amy winked at you before you started walking away, laughing at her antics and flipping her off as you left. It was always in good fun, but sometimes they were just too accurate on their assumptions.
You found Joel where you left him, scrolling through some texts from your dad. He probably was letting him know he'd be dropping you off. He looked up when you stopped in front of him, a sweet smile he was met with.
"Ready?"
"Mhm," you hummed in response, watching as he held out his elbow for you to take, just like earlier. "Ever the gentleman."
He chuckled, waiting until you hooked your arm around his to start walking to the door.
Being so close to him all throughout the night, you'd started feeling a sense of familiarity that hadn't been there before. His smell, his energy, the way he walked. It all became so much more apparent than it ever had been. You noticed how naturally big his arms were, and how broad his shoulders looked in the shirt he was wearing. Black and white baseball tee, which hugged tightly his arms and shoulders, but hung looser around his ribs and waist. He wasn't muscular by any means, and in some places, you could tell he was a little soft... but it was a good look on him. Attractive.
Getting to his truck, he opened the passenger door for you before going around to his side and jumping in. He watched you pull out your phone, and for a second, you weren't even sure why you had in the first place... force of habit.
You swiped out of instagram and opened snapchat, tapping him on the shoulder as you held the phone up. He looked over and saw you were trying to take a photo. He leaned over, an awkward smile on his face when you snapped it.
"What's that for?" He furrowed his brow, starting up the truck and pulling out.
"S' just for me," you told him. You saved it to your camera roll, discarding it afterwards and neglecting to post it. No filter, no caption, just you and Joel miller sitting in his truck.
"So, how you liking Dallas?" He attempted to keep the conversation going, and you smiled at him for it. He was normally someone who kept quiet in a setting like this. On the drive home after a rowdy night out. It was unlike him to want to speak so much, but nevertheless, you entertained him.
"It's alright, a lot bigger than here, but I kinda like the small town scene better."
"I never took you for a city girl, but I knew you could do well there," he replied honestly. He kept his eyes on the road, every once and a while into his mirrors. You figured that was for the best, because then he couldn't catch you staring so much.
"Still prefer this, though," you said softly. You'd looked back to the window, and missed when he finally looked over at you, a sweet look in his eyes. He's happy you're home. You know that much... but he can't tell you outright because, why is he so happy that you're home? You're not his buddy, you're only his buddy's daughter.
"Everyone's gonna be glad to have you 'round for the summer," he said it as inconspicuously as he could... but you still read between the lines. He's happy you're home.
"Maybe not Mrs. Stanton," you joked. The woman had been your elderly neighbor to the other side of you and wasn't necessarily a fan of any person younger than thirty. She liked peace and quiet and mundane life. Parties and Barbacues were not her setting, and she loathed your dad and Joel for throwing so many over the years. All for the sake of you and Sarah, of course, birthdays, graduation, etc.
"She's never glad about nothin', I don't count her."
Nearing the edge of your neighborhood, you yawned and turned back to him, seeing as he was carefully making his way onto your street.
You laughed a little, then fell into a comfortable silence the rest of the way. Travis County is a small place, not much around, everything is within twenty minutes distance or less, just about.
-
"Thanks for drivin' me home."
"No problem, darlin'," he parked in front of your house, even though he could have just pulled into his driveway and made you walk across the yards between.
You smiled at him sweetly and he couldn't help himself anymore, he just had to ask...
"And thanks again for that drink," you said, looking at him over the console. He'd leaned ever so slightly closer to you, and you could swear neither of you were gonna look away.
Those brown eyes were so damn captivating. Ain't no way you'd survive being a victim of their longing stare. Just as well, he seemed to be in a similar trance, with you being the one to cast the spell.
"Can I kiss you?" It was almost a whisper, and though soft in your ears, it rang out over and again.
You didn't even answer him. You just closed the space between you, pressing your lips against his in a gentle motion that was almost too much for him to handle. He'd not even thought twice before asking you, and now he was kissing his best buddy's daughter. You were always wordlessly off limits to him, but right now, it didn't feel that way.
He held you by the back of your neck, pulling you deeper, closer. He didn't stop it from getting hotter, heavier, and maybe he should have. It was far too late for that, now.
Your arms dangled over his shoulders, the broadness of them that you'd admired only twenty minutes ago. So broad, so strong.
He raised the center console up for you to slide across, and you didn't bother to say a word before you straddled his waist, still buckled in his seat belt.
The audacity of this scenario. Your dad was in the house the truck was parked in front of, and here you were sat on his best friend's lap and making out with him shamelessly. Joel was playing with fire, and buried in the back of his mind, he was well aware of that fact... but damnit, he wasn't stopping for nothing.
His hands rubbed up and down your thighs, covered in the fishnets he'd kept such a close eye on earlier. Something about the secrecy of this, the fact that no one could ever know, made it that much more exciting.
You both jumped apart at the light over your driveway turning on, being caught by the suddenness of the flash. You saw a neighborhood stray cat walk across the yard soon after, and realized it had set off the censor for the light.
You breathed out a breath you didn't remember holding, and looked back to Joel with sleepy eyes and swollen lips. "I should go."
He nodded, helping you slip off of him and into your own seat, gathering your phone and keys before opening the door. He caught your hand just before you got out, and gave it a tight squeeze.
You smiled at him and continued to get out of the car, giving your last words before you shut the door.
"I'll see you," he promised, his eyes assuring you of his words. To hell with those brown eyes, they were gonna be the death of you, and you knew it.
"I'll see you."

Broken Curse
Peter Parker x reader
warnings:
a/n: idk this was supposed to be an entirely different fic when i started but now its very different
prompt:
Tumblr media
Peter always held himself back. Everyone could see it. Everyone except him.
All those wasted opportunities because of those powers, but that’s all he thought he was good for now. He could have been so much more if he didn’t dedicate himself to Spider-Man. Right now he could be in college or working a job ehere he could make a real difference. But instead, he was living all on his lonesome in some run-down apartment, a ghost of his former self.
So now no one saw him. No one saw how much he held himself back because no one ever noticed him. In his new life, he kept to himself. No people to disappoint with his lost potential, no one noticed him anymore and maybe that was for the best.
You were in his thoughts, though. Mourned daily and nightly in regret of his mistakes. He sat there connecting all those things that went wrong. From becoming Spider-Man to an Avenger, trusting people he shouldn’t have, taking shortcuts and wasting precious time. He lost you and everyone he ever loved.
What hurt him most was seeing you from time to time, but as luck would have it, you’d managed to move into his building. A fate worse than death for Peter.
“Y/N?” He asked in the hallway without realizing. A stranger had just called to you.
“I…I’m sorry, do I know you?” You chuckled, which Peter knew was a nervous habit and you were a bit uncomfortable.
“N-No. Sorry.” He paused. “I was guessing. Not guessing your name, that’d be weird. The landlord told me about a new neighbor, I haven’t seen you yet so I was assuming that was you. Y/N, right?” Peter rambled out a reasonable lie to convince you he wasn’t a stalker. Maybe he was, he didn’t know if it counted when magic spells were involved.
“Oh. I guess that makes more sense.” You shrugged. “Yes, I’m y/n…and you are..?”
“Peter. Peter Parker.” He gave an awkward introduction. “Apartment 20.”
“It’s nice to meet you, Peter.” You told him. “I hate to cut this short, but I have to do some unpacking.” You began to walk away, but Peter was desperate to keep this going. He hadn’t spoken to you in months, and although you may not know who he is in this moment, he was the boy you fell in love with and he still loved you with all his heart.
“If, uh, you need some help moving anything, I’ll be here.” He timidly offered. You stopped in your tracks and took a moment to think.
“Actually, I could use some help with some furniture. The movers just left everything in my living room.” You explained and he smiled. “What?”
“You have a living room?” He laughed and you joined in, catching that his apartment was probably a bit smaller than your own. “I can definitely help you with all that, lead the way.” He was a bit disappointed you’d accept help from a stranger so easily, but he didn’t know that something felt familiar about him. You just felt he was trustworthy and genuine. That was it.
You’d initiated some small talk while moving the couch to the correct wall, the bed frame and mattress to the bedroom, and some shelves and tables wherever they might go, maneuvering around heaps of boxes labeled with all sorts of goofy writing. He liked the “BEDROOM BULLSHIT” box the most. But as he moved around your relatively nicer apartment, he noticed a stuffed animal that had fallen on the floor. A stuffed animal he had actually gotten for you several years ago. “Hey,” he picked the little bear up, “this was just laying on the floor. Cute.” Peter commented in some unsuspecting way.
“Oh, yeah, I can’t even remember where I got that thing. I’ve had it forever, can’t bring myself to get rid of it. It’s too cute to get rid of anyways, look at him.” You reached for the bear in his hand and when your hand connected with its soft fur, you felt an overwhelming sensation, this sickness inside as your head began spinning.
“Are you okay? Y/N?” Peter urgently asked, hesitant to make any startling movements. Your gaze jolted back to him and there was a much different look in your eyes than in the moments before. Softer.
“This can’t be real.” You mumbled. “It was you all along.”
“What?” He had no idea how to respond.
“Peter Benjamin Parker.” You spoke his full name. “I love you.”

I really like how you draw what you love in the moment. I am making a shift in my drawing interests as well, but I'm starting to feel guilty. My friends and followers know me as the (insert fandom) artist. Deep down I know what I am feeling is silly. Draw what you love! Who cares! I know that is the truth. So my question to you is, what do you do when those thoughts come to your head (if it does)?
What a thoughtful question! Below the cut:
Thank you! I've been on tumblr for 10 years and I have come to accept that I will always receive certain messages when I begin drawing a new interest:
"Guess you don't draw X anymore" / "Why did you stop drawing X?" / "Are you ever going to draw X again?" / "I want more X" / "When can we expect more X?" / "We're never going to see X again, are we?"
Though I've emphasized many times that this is my blog for all of my art and all my fandoms, every time I switch interests I am swamped with messages like this 3-4 months afterwards. It's an inevitability, because new folks may have missed that this is a "my current interest" blog, and old folks may not like the new content you're interested in.
At first it really bothered me, because I'd draw like 150 pieces of art for a fandom for 6 months straight, need a break, and the next day people will be like "guess you don't care anymore" like all the art I did wasn't enough.
The reality is: I like the idea of managing one blog for all of my artwork. I like how low-stress it is to have one, singular place I can still use a playground for my interests. I think it's a concept some people have forgotten is an option. Dare we call it a portfolio.
I am aware that the more "modern" way to conduct things, if you want to build an audience, is to have several blogs, each dedicated to one of your interests. But the very thought of managing 100 blogs every time I got a new interest makes my skin crawl and I know it would instantly suck the fun out of it for me.
I don't want to do that. I don't want to "build an audience", I just want to have a fun space for me. There are already so many social media sites out there besides tumblr, and if you're an artist that uploads to more than one, multiplying those by each of your fandoms? Sounds like more work than I want to do.
I can't remember the name of the artist, but I recall a few years ago one of the artists for the show Korra was bombarded with these sorts of messages when they started posting art that wasn't Avatar-related. And they said something to the effect of "I gave 2 years of my life to this show. Let me explore something new." And I'll never forget that. I feel the same way.
The theme of this blog is "my art". That's it. My interests change, sometimes circle back, and change again. And that's ok—that's how artists keep art fun for themselves. Every artist deserves a playground where they can share and connect with other people who are also just as excited about their newest thing. That's the joy of it.
Keeping yourself in a box just because that's what people want or expect you to do is the death of creativity. I am at peace with people unfollowing if our interests don't align anymore. This was never a blog for catering to anyone but myself, and that is ok.
So those messages don't bother me anymore. I know they're coming. I know they will always be there. And, every time, I will find new folks who do want to share in my new interest. I think in many ways I like starting over again. It feels refreshing.
But more than that, I know the importance of keep a space for myself online where I can be as creative and fun and silly as I like, chasing after the latest thing that is making me smile.

Tw: SAFE FOR POC/FEM READERS- Author can’t write dialogue, Logan is called short ONCE (written with comic accurate Wolverine in mind-but can be movie Logan too) reader is given pet names/refered to as she/Ms.
I haven’t written a serious fic since high school and I want to get back out here again hooray!
—————————————————————————
A new semester, apple on the desk, pots and pans freshly washed, sewing machines at the ready. Nothing this semester could stop you- starting fresh at Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters brought to fruition everything you’d hoped for. Family, a career, children, and most importantly- stability.
A word normally foreign for mutants of all kinds, yourself included. Settling down as a teacher helped to blend your identity. Charles had located you on purpose- something you’d come to terms with over the last few months spent bonding with the staff and fellow X-Men. You’d been offered a position as a teacher and had accompanied several missions, all successful due to your mutation. It wasn’t easy- and took many years to develop and control your abilities the way you could. You’d managed on your own just fine before this but life was lonely at best, suffocating at worst. A life spent using your mutation to survive- Now you could live.
You’d initially been brought on to train a young mutant named Rouge- with a similar ability, training her was rewarding. It was like a reflection of your younger self staring back st you. About a century ago you had no community, family, friends.
That reality seemed so far away compared to the life you lived now. You mused this thought to yourself unlocking the door to your classroom. You set the books on top of your perfectly organized desk- perfect timing as the students began filling in for the day.
You pulled up their bell work to complete on the projector watching one by one as they sorted themselves into groups ready. A slight drone of music started down the hall and the bell announced the start of another day.
Beginning with collecting the bell work, you started the students off with a simple recipe to complete before the end of class. Classic chocolate chip cookies- a family favorite and good way to observe the student’s skill levels.
“More salt Colby, the acidity is necessary”
“Yes Ms. Y/N”
“Scrape the flour off the top of the measuring cup for an even amount, Emma”
“Thanks, professor Y/N!”
It wasn’t long before each student had a decent batch of cookies ready to grade and devour- the edible ones at least..
But before any grading could be done- or eating the music level from the hall rose to an absurd level
“Does anyone know who has their music so loud this morning?” You stated opening the door to the hallway “I hardly think this time of morning is-“
“It’s the shop class down the hall” one of the students stated, also mildly annoyed
“Hmmm, shop class? I didn’t know we offered shop this semester.. Do you think the professor would-“
A chorus of “No way!” “Do not!” and “He’ll kill you!” erupted from the students
“Who? I hardly think anyone would be so ill-tempered about asking to cut the music down so early”
“It’s professor Logan, he’s back this semester”
“Then I guess we’ll have to give him a ring- this volume is a little much, surely he wouldn’t mind?”
The students held their breath as you dialed the shop’s classroom on the school phone
It was a wonder anyone picked up the phone in the shop. Many students gathered around the bike Logan was introducing as the senior class project. A chance to not only test their skills but add personal flare- a teenagers wet dream truly.
Some eager students had been sent to gather the tool on the bench when one notice the phone ringing. They answered and briefly spoke to the teacher on the other end before hanging up the phone. One student simply turned the music down- enough for Logan to notice. He didn’t like the settings messed with unless he did so himself, especially by his students.
“Who touched the radio?” He demanded
The students silently stood there as the music paused completely. One student bravely spoke up
“It was the phone-“
“The phone cut the music down?” He interrupted
“No, a teacher called and asked us to do it”
“Who? I sweat if you answered Scott and listened! What’s the first rule in shop!?” He sighed, already tired from the day and needing a drink.
He wasn’t cut out for this ‘teacher’ shit, Logan thought to himself. He’d tried to argue with Charles claiming he had better things to do and had been promptly reminded of how much time he spends in the garage should be put to good use.
He signed as he sensed his pupils unease and cut the music back on and instructed them to get started. He stalked to the phone clicking a few buttons to figure out what classroom called to complain ready to give Scott a piece of his mind. He ran out to steam seeing it was your classroom that had called. The new teacher who’d started their first semester just down the hall. He’d meant to stop by and welcome you but meeting people without confrontation had never been his strongest quality. What better time than now. He left the students to their assignment and carried himself down the hall ready to introduce himself.
A knock on the door interrupted the classroom buzz and a hush fell over the students. You padded over to the door and peeked out the small window. A short man, clad in a black t shirt and jeans stared back at you with an unreadable expression.
“Good morning! What can I do for you?” You trailed off not recognizing him.
“You called the shop a minute ago” he stated twirling the toothpick in his mouth
“Yes, I’m sorry to bother- You must be professor Logan”
“Mm hm” he answered shortly, stepping out further in the hall while you closed the door behind you.
“I’m sorry if I upset you, it was just a little loud for my students and I this morning-“
He held a hand up “Not a problem, doll. I can’t upset my favorite teacher, right?”
“Favorite teacher? We just met” you said with a light laugh
“I’ve been around a long time- I know a good girl when I see one”
“I hardly think that’s appropriate to say here”
“No? Maybe I can say it another way or another time?” His lips curling up in a smug smile “How about you come down to the shop after classes- Grab a drink later?”
“Oh! Uh sure? I guess so?” From the way the students reacted you’d assumed this teacher was awful, even horrible. Be here is his- polite as ever and asking to grab a drink?
“I like that answer” he laughed leaning closer “Meet me later at garage three- I’ll take you to Abe’s”
Abe’s was one of the nicer bars in the city, a place known for anniversaries, couples flocking there left and right for an evening out. You’d never stopped by until tonight- now you had plans for once with a complete stranger- a handsome one at that.
“I’ll see you later then, garage three”
“Looking forward to it, sweetheart” he said turning to head back to his class
You entered your room once again as the class held their breath. No yelling, no cussing, no words of any kind were heard and the students had feared your first day would be your last- they didn’t know that this was just the beginning

Adam building furniture. Not like ikea. But deciding he needs a bookshelf but going out the door with an axe someone asks what he’s doing and he’s introduced to the world of hardware stores and lumber yards.
He’s now there every weekend. Has built his several book shelves, a chair, taken up wood working, and built several benches that sit around the hotel property. He’s been trying to get Charlie to agree to letting him build a patio and gets a thrill when someone blows up a wall cause it’s an excuse to take Lucifer’s debt card and buy drywall.
“What are you working on today?” Lucifer leans over Adam’s shoulder as he’s carving at his workbench in the shed Lucifer agreed to buy if Adam would stop getting sawdust all over their bedroom.
“Carving,” Adam tried to hide it, “now git.”
Lucifer tries one last peek before allowing himself to be shooed away.
It takes a few weeks but one day Adam gives him a box and a kiss on the cheek, “happy anniversary.”
“Oh fuck. I- sorry Adam. I didn’t realize you wanted to celebrate that sort of thing.” He held the box a little embarrassed to have nothing in return.
“Well, to be honest. I’m not actually sure when our “anniversary” would be. Neither of us have birthdays. As we were alive before anyone started keeping track of the days and years. And we’ve known each other for a long time. And I have no idea how long it’s even been since we got together. I just wanted to make you this and figured I’d call it an anniversary present whenever it was done.”
Lucifer breathed a sigh of relief. “Thank fuck. But I suppose today is as good a day as any. Maybe we should celebrate? Go out to dinner.”
Adam waved it off, “don’t matter. Just open the gift!”
“Okay,” Lucifer chuckled. He was excited to see what it was.
He pulled the ribbon off and opened the top. Lucifer pulled out realist carving of an apple.
“Oh that’s really good. Looks like the real thing.”
Adam puffed up with pride. “Figured you could use a new paperweight.”
“… what happened to my old one?”
“I might have broken it, a month ago. Which you would know if you were actually doing work like you said.”
‘Oh shit. This was a trap.’
“So, where have you been Lucifer? And for how long?”
No point lying now. “I’ve been down at the river feeding ducks again.” Lucifer pouted.
“Yeah. That’s what I thought.” Adam pulled Lucifer out of his chair and pushed him to the door, “go the fuck to work. Hell doesn’t run itself!”
“But it’s booorrrriiiinnnnggg!” Lucifer whined but he did actually go and do paperwork that day.

Heyo everybody! Here’s a resus story I finished today just in time for summer vibes. Nothing too dark, but there is a drowning involved. I hope you all enjoy!
The Beach Rescue
It was a clear mid-afternoon in late August. Summer was still in full effect. The sun shone down, peaking at a blistering 107 degrees. Palm trees all along the shore line were gently swaying. There were less people here today than usual, but the place was still bustling with crowds scattered about. Many could be seen in lines, waiting for their favorite hot spot to let them in. At least a hundred people could be seen walking along the boardwalk, with more shopping inside the little storefronts. Bags, bottles, coolers and towels of every color could be seen all across the shore, with people all enjoying themselves in their own way. It was a bright, beautiful day here at Venice Beach.
Here I was, a lifeguard, sitting quietly atop my tower as usual. My tower was one of the only towers that were taller than the rest. I was one of the few higher-up lifeguards working here, despite being relatively young with less years than the other high-ranking staff. You could say I had a seagull eye’s view of things going on around the beach. I could see farther towards the waters, where the surfers liked to surf and do cool tricks, while still being able to monitor the shore and what was close around me very well.
Out in the middle of the beach, one person had caught my eye. A woman walked out onto the sand. She was wearing a gold string bikini. She laid out a warm gray towel on the sand, dropping her dark magenta purse on it. Her figure along with her shiny gold attire glistened in the sunlight. She had light, but defined curves, making her a standout at the beach. She confidently walked closer towards the waters. I could tell she was a little inebriated. Her carefree expression and some of her footsteps told me she probably had a couple drinks at one of the bars or food places here. She had a bit of musical pep in her step, with her bigger assets bouncing along with her stride. She was definitely the highlight at the beach today.
I zoomed out with my binoculars. I'd probably best look elsewhere before I get completely distracted. At least the beach had been relatively free of incidents this summer. I think only two had happened last month that I knew of, and those were pretty minor incidents. A couple of guys were fighting over a space at Muscle Beach. Law enforcement were able to break them up and remove them. The other incident involved a girl that broke her leg at the skatepark. Fortunately, we were able to move her to a hospital pretty quickly. Things might get tense between people sometimes at random times, but usually they get sorted themselves or law enforcement puts a stop to it eventually. It has definitely been more peaceful than previous summers. Even last year felt pretty hectic and was also very tragic. I was grateful for this peace.
As soon as these thoughts left my head, a series of screams could be heard in the distance. They were coming from the water in my direction. I brought my binoculars up and started scanning in towards the waters. I zoomed in as far as I could. I could barely see anyone around who was struggling until I got farther out, and there she was. To my surprise, it was the same woman I saw several moments ago. I could see her hands flailing above the water, as well as the top of her head peeking out. I didn’t think she would go in the waters, let alone that far without a surfboard. What was she doing? Was she that drunk?
I then swung into action just like that. My binoculars dropped down. I quickly slid down the ladder of my tower and grabbed my medical bag. I sprinted towards the water as fast as I could. Halfway towards the water, I spread out a white beach towel and threw it on the ground behind me. Likewise, I also dropped my medical bag next to it, sprinting faster now that the weight of my equipment was gone. I then noticed a loose crowd of people, beginning to form around me on both sides. They were all watching me respond to the emergency unfolding ahead of me.
As I quickly approached the waters, I slipped on my diving goggles. As my feet touched the water, my pace slowed a fair bit, but I still stepped on as fast as I could. I scanned the area around me, but nobody could be seen above water. As the water started reaching up to my waist, I decided to try searching underwater. I then promptly took the plunge, sticking myself under the sea. Within seconds, my vision cleared up and I could now see what was in front of me. Initially, everything was pretty dark and I could barely see anything, but then I found her. The sunlight shone down on a huge rock, and the girl was there, sprawled out lying on the rock. Her shiny swimwear reflected the sun’s rays. As my eyes focused on her, I felt the air inside running out rapidly. I quickly swam to the top, prepping myself to extract this girl. As my head peeped above the water, I began gasping for air. I closed my eyes, shielding myself from the bright sunlight. I Then took one deep breath for myself, and rushed back underwater. I started speed swimming back to the situation at hand, the light of the sun guiding me there. I approached the woman from behind, and grabbed her, crossing her arms with mine. As I secured her with my arms, I began to propel myself back up. With all my strength I would bring her close to the shore. As soon as I felt my heels contact the wet sand, I turned around, positioning the girl sideways in front of me, where we faced the rising shore. As my feet fully grasped the sand, my arms and the girl were just above water. I then moved my arms to carry her by her legs and back.
Both of us surfaced from the water, with me holding the woman in a princess carry. The brightness of the sun caused my eyes to squint slightly. As I felt the wet sand become dry below me, my stamina started to take a hit, but I knew I could still go farther. I ran back as fast as I possibly could. I noticed the number of eyes on us had slightly increased. It really must have been a slow day here. There is usually not a big group that looks up at me when I perform a rescue like this. As I got closer to my marked area, My legs started to burn and feel like jelly. I knew there was not much left to go. As I saw my towel come within my reach, I slowed my step, and dropped a knee. I hastily, but gently lowered the girl onto my fresh, clean towel. I am not a very superstitious person, but I always keep a fresh, unused towel. I do not like the idea of rescuing someone on a towel that someone else drowned and possibly died on, since I feel it invites death so easily in these scenarios. Likewise, I never wash the towels and I often burn them at night too, so that no one becomes accursed from reusing them down the line.
With that being said, I get back to the task at hand. I raised my goggles up, and put my left hand behind her head, and tried pushing some water from her mouth with my right hand. A good amount of water spilled out from her mouth, but I know there’s some still inside her. I then check her neck and wrists for a pulse with my right hand, while I quickly unzip my medical bag. I give the bag a little jostle, letting a small bottle, some scissors and an ambu bag fall out. As I let the last items fall out, I notice nothing coming from the girl’s pulse points. It was then that I had to start working on her.
Both of my hands came together naturally and intertwined above the woman. I promptly lowered my hands down and gave her a quick pump to gauge the feeling for how hard I needed to press down. Then, I start counting up from one in my head, with the numbers exiting my mouth in a quiet mutter. I keep a steady pace, pumping her chest firmly. The compressions feel rather stiff and more difficult than usual. I then realize this girl’s bikini is still on and is hugging her tightly. As I finished this first round of compressions, I instinctively reached for the scissors on the sand. I had absolutely no regard for her modesty, because I had absolutely full regard for her life. I went immediately for her dazzling top, snipping her shoulder strings like nothing. A light jiggle of her chest was observed as her bikini began to snap in front of me. Next, I took a careful snip of the string at the middle point of her chest, cutting fast and precisely in the middle. As I clipped the middle string, the snap caused the two cups of her bikini to fly out majestically to her left and right side. Her breasts became completely exposed in a flash, wobbling heavily upon their release. Tens of people around us had their faces turn agape at the sight of modesty’s death. However, this woman here certainly was not dead, at least not yet.
With her breasts parted away from each other, I could now do my job much easier. My hands affixed together again and resumed compressions. I could confidently press harder and better now. Each pump made her breasts jiggle against the sides of my hands. I pumped a bit faster, trying to make up for lost time, which made sense in my brain, anyway. I almost sped up too fast to thirty. I also felt a bit stronger now after the intermittent break I had removing this woman’s top. After my second round of CPR, I reached for the ambu bag on the ground. I positioned the woman’s head straight up, putting the mouthpiece on her. I gave her a breath of fresh air, watching her torso expand and deflate. I gave her a second breath, pressing my stethoscope to her chest at the same time. I then heard a few strange sounding beats from her. I decided it was time to power on my defibrillator.
My co-workers prefer to use AEDs, saying that they are more convenient and easy out on the field. Personally, I can’t stand using them at the beach. I don’t have the ability to control the energy level and those stupid pads never stay secured on wet skin. I like my manual defibrillator because I am in control the whole time. It may be a bit heavier, but it is so much more reliable. So, I took the bottle next to me and I grabbed the paddles from the bag. I squirted a little conductive gel onto each paddle and gave them a good ol’ rub. I set the energy dial to 100 joules and let it charge. I announced to the world my intentions to shock this woman and went forward with it. I placed the paddles on her chest, one above her chest and one below her chest. I perched my thumbs over the discharge buttons, and pumped 100 joules into the dying woman. Her torso and arms twitched slightly, but nothing happened after. Sudden gasps could be heard from all across the crowd. I charged the unit again, pressing the buttons soon after again. Another twitch, but no response. Another flood of gasps, and then dead silence. I checked her again with my stethoscope, but this time I heard nothing. Nothing at all. Silent as the crowd. It was time to do compressions again.
I crossed my hands and started pumping away on her again. Her lifeless body moved with each push. Her head had slumped to the side from repeated movements and stayed there. Her overall body was getting noticeably more pale. More and more water was slowly seeping out of her airway and onto the towel. My arms were progressively pouncing harder and harder on her. Before I knew it, another round of compressions was completed. I switched over to the ambu bag and gave her another puff. Her stomach rising and descending at my will. I put my stethoscope back onto her, and surprisingly I hear a weak, but erratic beating in her chest. I dropped the bag and grabbed the defibrillator paddles again.
I turned the energy dial further to the right, setting it to 200 joules. I grabbed the bottle of gel again and rubbed another coat on the paddles. I cleared the area once again to try again. Quickly I put the paddles between her breasts and on her left side. I mashed the shock buttons and watched as she jumped about an inch and fell back down. No change at all. I charge the paddles again, quickly dumping another dose of electricity into her heart. I lower my stethoscope onto her again, and it’s just silence. Complete and utter silence. I was starting to lose hope on this lady. I really was, but there were too many people around me to just quit on them now. I had to show them at least an effortful performance.
With some doubt in my mind, I started another cycle of CPR. This time, I pressed on as well as I possibly could. The lady’s whole body was now.reacting to my compressions. Her breasts were steadily bouncing into my rhythmic, hammering hands. I could see her face beginning to start bluing. I didn’t have much time left, so I kept going, with my hands starting to tire out. Just another round and that was it. That was all I could take right now on this burning day. The bluish purple was just beginning to creep in. As I finished another thirtieth compression, I nabbed the ambu bag once more and gave her a pump of air. As the air wooshed into her lungs, I thought I heard sirens. Perhaps someone called an ambulance to the beach. I guess that would be a good idea no matter what happens. I then placed my stethoscope back onto her chest with no expectation once again. A quick listen revealed a struggling, quivering pulse. She really was a fighter, wasn’t she? At least she wasn’t turning any more blurple.
I couldn’t argue with a fibrillating heart, so I grabbed the paddles once again. This time I cranked the dial to 300 joules. I squeezed another dollop of gel on the paddles and made another conductive layer. I told everyone to stay away, urgently. I smacked the paddles onto her frail, but endowed chest, putting the paddles above her left breast and below her right breast. I pushed the buttons on the paddles to shock her again and sent 300 joules directly to her heart. Her reaction was much more pronounced, rising an impressive few inches and crashing back down. Still no response at all after that shock. Charging up again, I then hear the people’s reaction of shock as I shocked her myself again. Her whole body seized as she immediately rose into the air, her attractive body wiggling rather sensually as she hit the sand once more. I grabbed my stethoscope, fully expecting the absence of sound or life to be heard. To my complete surprise, Her heart was beating very strongly. She was still massively arrhythmic, so one more zap couldn’t hurt this situation.
I looked back at the defibrillator real fast. In my raging vortex of a mind, struggling to choose how much energy to hit her with, I just dimed it. 400 joules and charging. The sirens I had heard earlier were quickly getting louder. I ordered everyone to stand back before I zapped her. The whine of the capacitors were the loudest I’ve ever heard them, even in this loud environment. Once the area was clear, I slammed the paddles into the sides of her breasts and jammed in the buttons to shock her, unleashing a full 400 joules through her chest. Almost instantly her whole torso jumped up nearly a foot into the air. All four limbs jerked fiercely and twitched. Her back arched violently with a stunning angle. It felt like I introduced an otherworldly force to her body with the way she reacted so wildly. As she reached her peak in the air, her eyes shot open. A rough, raspy gasp escaped from her lungs as she went on her way down. Her body fell and impacted the sand hard. The impact caused her body to bounce back up and down momentarily like a bouncy ball. Her hair danced and sprawled evenly beneath her. Her breasts bounced and wobbled with tremendous, erotic might. Her thighs also jiggled with dazzling rippling waves. She briefly choked, coughing out the last of the water in her airways. She finally came back from the verge of passing. It had to be the shining miracle of today. She was certainly meant to spring back to life.
Swiftly, I nestled my hand behind her and cradled her head. She then started rapidly gasping for air. I gave her heart another listen and felt her heart beat speedily, but very flawlessly. I asked her if she felt alright, but before she could respond, paramedics were approaching with a gurney. I helped by lifting her up onto the gurney. I gave them a quick brief on what had just occurred and what I did. I witnessed her drowning, extracted her from the waters, and successfully resuscitated her. Before I let them go, I reassured the woman that she would be fine, whispering words of encouragement and praise of her fighting prowess to her. I don’t know if she got the full message, as her body was undoubtedly aching from the trauma. I then watched the paramedics roll her away into the ambulance, most likely never to be seen again.
As the scene deescalated, the crowd dispersed and diminished. The other lifeguards congratulated me on my rescue. I guess I should feel good about that outcome, but something kept me from basking in the glory of that rescue. I guess I kind of got attached to that woman on the beach. Her beauty was exceptionally captivating. Her face, her figure, her luscious hair, and that sparkling bikini she just rocked. The way that she didn’t give out after a couple grueling cycles of resuscitation. Even on the brink of death, she emerged more powerful. She was a marvelous, tough, young girl. I wanted to know if she’d be okay. I wonder if I’ll ever see or hear of her again.
As the day wrapped up, I cleaned my equipment, with no other incidents happening in the evening. I set up a bonfire near the boardwalk, next to my tower. I tossed the towel I saved the woman with, into the bonfire, setting some firewood some people had generously donated for the beach on top of it. I lit the towel up with my lighter and watched the fire spread quickly. Me, the lifeguards and some other people around us got food and returned back to the now full burning bonfire. With a kebab of marshmallows in one hand, and a cantarito in the other, I called a toast. A cheers to all here today, for a long lasting prosperity and a happy life. I took a deep sip, thinking about the woman again, wishing she would be of good health, and continue to do great in this world. I roasted my marshmallows with the radiant warmth of the fire, thinking of her roaring desire to stay alive.
May she be well.

Summary: You've been friends with Tara since you guys met in college just as you were graduating several months ago, and you haven't been separated since. Throughout the 4 months, you've been introduced to the "core four" such as the twins Mindy and Chad, and to Sam who is learning to be comfortable around you and is slowly catching feelings for her little sister's best friend with a little competition from Ethan and Quinn.
After work, you drive over to their apartment to see if Tara needs help with homework and to enjoy your friend's company only to find out that Tara went to a party and you get pulled into their nightmare.
It sort of follows the Scream 6 movie and this is my first time making a fan fic and one-shot series so bear with me.

After work, you go to your friend Tara and Sam's apartment which they share with their friends Mindy, Anika, Chad, Ethan, and Quinn.
Upon going into the apartment you hear some music before unlocking the door with a spare key that Tara gave you. "Hey Tara I'm home! Need help with homework by chance?" you say walking into their space as you put your bag down near the couch knowing Sam wouldn't be at the apartment for a few hours. "Hello!?" you yell into the apartment wondering where the music was coming from but before you can investigate Quinn opens her bedroom door revealing that she was naked. When you heard the door open you briefly looked in her direction before finding the ceiling interesting to look at.
"Oh heeey y/n" she coos at you eyeing you like a piece of meat.
And you reply with a "Heey Quinn, funny seeing you here" you say now looking towards the dining room.
"Aww is that the best you can come up with?" she says as she reaches for her robe while undressing you with her eyes and you sigh "Wanna join me in the bedroom?" she asks boldly as you cross your arms.
"Very funny, I respect your sex-positive way of life but no thank you...I'm good" you say as you slowly look at her dead in the eye and her brow goes up.
"Your loss, y/n" she ends and before she could close the door to continue her activity, you ask her a question.
"You wouldn't happen to know where Tara is would you?" she stops the door from closing with a sigh before telling you where she is.
You run to your car putting on your seat belt before pressing the ignition and before you turn onto the street you look both ways before driving away. "Why would she go to some frat party?" you say annoyed while parking your car after 20 minutes of getting there. Then you walk into the building before you catch sight of the stairs and groan, 'I hate stairs' you think to yourself before walking up the stairs to find the door to the frat party, and before you go in you take a breath. When you finally open the door to enter the party your senses are immediately flooded with the smell of booze, sweat, and the sound of horrible music but before you could get caught up in the environment you form a plan and you decided that you would look for Chad. While walking through the crowd of people you scan their faces and as soon as you started your anxiety was building up, it felt like you were walking for hours even though a minute had gone by, before your eyes finally landed on Chad while he was talking to Ethan, your anxiety suddenly dissipating from your body, "Thank god I found you guys!" you say allowed catching their attention.
"Y/n! Nice of you to join us! How have you been?!" Chad says over the music and you yell back.
"Good! Have you seen Tara?!" Chad shakes his head saying.
"I saw her last with my sister!" making you nod so you go find Mindy when you catch Anika smiling and waving you over.
"Hey ladies! Do you know where Tara is!?" and Mindy nods "Yeah she said she went to get another drink!" as she yells over the music.
Then you turn around to find her, thinking she might be in the kitchen only to hear a commotion near the stairs where you saw Chad last, and when you got closer you started getting protective. You notice the way the frat guy is holding Tara and how Chad is trying to get Tara from him, and then the frat guy says something to Chad something you can't quite hear before Chad pulls the frat guy onto the main level shoving him and the frat guy doing the same back and you decided while pumped with adrenaline to punch the frat guy in Chad's defense making him bleed.
Then the frat guy shoves you onto the stairs near Tara where there was also glass bottles and in the process your hand breaks one of them, some of the glass shards getting into your skin.
And before Chad can react you hear Sam "Chad Chad" she says stopping him before facing the frat guy and continuing her thoughts "Just going to tase you in the balls real quick" she says tasing the frat guy in the balls "Don't ever lay your hands on my sister" she ends before looking at you sternly and then she leaves with Tara, Chad, and Ethan while Mindy and Anika helped you up as you guys followed suit.
While you guys walked out together you realized that your night was going to be stressful especially how Sam looked at you with disappointment before getting her sister. Then the idea of hearing the Carpenter sisters arguing caused you to drag behind the group not wanting to be a part of it and it didn't go unnoticed by Mindy and Anika.
They've known you for a few months now, thanks to Tara, and had noticed how you would quietly remove yourself from the group in an attempt to preserve your energy when anyone in their close nit group would argue. Mindy would sometimes be surprised at how receptive you were to everyone's emotions when you did step away while Anika on the other hand saw your kind heart when you volunteered to take her to her date night with Mindy, and nearly punched a guy for almost slurring at them and your ability to pay attention to detail, your kindness, and loyalty to your friends is why they love you. But what they didn't know is that you were super anxious about arguments and are still trying to come off the adrenaline high from earlier.
Then the Carpenter sisters had blown up at each other, pissed beyond belief while their friends watch it all unfold and when Sam was done yelling at her sister, she turns her anger towards you.
"What the hell were you thinking?!" she yells causing you to stop in your tracks as your muscles tense up.
"Listen Sam I was tr-" You were going to explain yourself but she kept coming at you.
"You didn't do shit! You put my sister in harm's way y/n!!!"
You try to step up to gain the upper hand but words were getting caught in your throat "No I didn't, listen-" before Sam shot you the most insulting one yet.
"God you're such a shitty friend, from now on stay away from my sister" she says banishing you from seeing Tara ever again.
You two stared at each other for a moment blood still boiling and it took everything in Sam to turn away and not berate you further, but you knew, you had have known that she was being protective after Tara told you everything about what happened in Woodsboro, so you stayed behind as your friends try to catch up with Tara. Then you walk to your car and it took you a moment to process everything that was said before you hit the wheel in frustration and you then turn your car on to drive away. While you drive away in the same direction as your friends you notice some girls looking at their phones and then pointing at Sam so you brake in the middle of the street watching your side mirror as the girls throw their drinks at Sam so you backed your car up fast, and before Sam can react you turn your wheel and backed up on to the curb almost hitting the girls who through their drinks, causing said girls to walk faster before sprinting while your friends became speechless as you lowered your passenger window. "Get in the car," you say seriously as Mindy and Anika took not a single second to get into your Pathfinder, as they're not used to seeing you this pissed, and as soon they got in, Ethan and Chad followed suit leaving the Carpenter sisters by themselves.
"I get the passenger seat," Tara says walking to the passenger door.
While Sam took the backseat behind the driver, and with a huff, you looked both ways before driving away not noticing Sam staring at you through the whole ride home, as she was trying to gauge your feelings while she was starting to feel bad about what she said to you. After leaving the scene you drive the gang back to their apartment where you were able to park directly in front of the apartment which lightens your mood a bit, soon turning your car off while everyone got out, everyone except you, Tara, and Sam.
"Thanks for the drive y/n, wanna come up?" Tara says to you.
While Sam uses the rearview mirror to look at you, wanting to say something but she doesn't, and you look over at Tara briefly before connecting eyes with Sam in the mirror, and then looking down at your lap and answering her "Not tonight Tara but I do appreciate the offer. Maybe next time" you say as she nodded.
"Okay well have a safe drive home okay?" now it was your turn.
You nodded before she got out and Sam followed after sighing, soon disappearing into the apartment building. But just as you were about to turn your car on you realize that you didn't have your bag with you "Shiiiit" you say to yourself before looking at their apartment building with a groan, getting out of your car to go to retrieve your bag. "Here we go again," you say to the stairs, and with a huff, you begin the climb, when you finally get to their floor you hear a commotion on the other side, so you gently knock waiting for someone on the other side to open the door for you.
That someone is Ethan, "Hey y/n what can I help you with?" he says leaning on the door frame casually with a light smirk, blocking you from coming in.
But before you can say anything you hear a groan behind him. Then Mindy's question makes him jump "Who's at the door?" she asks walking over to see who's holding Ethan up before sitting down "Hey you".
"I was just coming up to retrieve my bag," you say as Ethan steps out of the way checking you out as you walk away from him.
"Oh yeah? What's keeping you from staying the night?" she asks studying you while you scan the room for your bag when your eyes finally land on it in the dining room.
"Other than work nothing else, why?" you say in an attempt to keep the conversation away from the core problem.
But Mindy persists as she gets up from her spot next to Anika on the couch to come over to you, fully aware of your schedule "Mind telling me what's up? You seem...I don't think nervy might be the right word for you" Mindy says trying to find a better word when Anika chimes.
"Apprehensive baby" and Mindy snaps her fingers.
"Thanks baby, yeah apprehensive" she says when you hear Tara, Chad, and Quinn join the living room waving at them as they did.
But before you can answer her you started to feel a stinging sensation in your hand but you ignore it, "I'm still a bit shaken up from everything that happened earlier. I just want to go home and sleep it off" you say to Mindy when she notices that your hand is bleeding.
"Not like that you aren't. Hey Sam!" she calls, as the older Carpenter sister got out of her bedroom.
"Yeah what's wrong?" she says as her eyes scan the room before settling on your figure when Mindy walks over to her whispering something about your hand and how it happened. Then Sam disappears from the room to get a med kit before offering you a seat in the dining room so she can properly take care of you while Tara comes over to lightly talk shit to her sister which you respond to.
"Ease up on your sister Tara she was just looking out for you" making Tara talk back to you.
"I was doing just fine!" she says annoyed.
And you reply with the same energy"Taara 'doing just fine' does not mean abandoning yourself and letting some guy take advantage of you!" And she was about to get in your face when you got up and Sam was going to defend you but Mindy stops her.
"Hey Tara, come help me make dessert" she says "Anika you too baby we could use the help."
Then you felt a soft hand caress your own making you flinch "Easy y/n, I just want to examine your hand" Sam says leading you to take a seat with her as she examines your left hand and arm just in case, "Relax for me y/n, good girl" she continues causing you to hide your blush. Then Sam pulls your attention back to her "Thank you by the way" you hear her say which is something you know might be hard for her.
"I um..you're welcome" you respond to her nervously and she looks up at you with a smile, while you started playing with the right side of her pant leg rubbing small circles into it. And while Sam was trying to find a way to fix your hand, you took the time to admire her as you looked at her features watching as her lashes flicker across your hand before your eyes moved looking down at her toned arms, but your thoughts bring your eyes back to her face. And you sat there wondering how long did she have to be strong, protective, and fearless? How long has she endured solitude by herself while constantly looking over her shoulder since Woodsboro? And before your brain can process what was happening you say "Sam" you started as she looks up at you and before you can say anything else Anika calls everyone to the table and Mindy sounds off.
"Dessert is ready!" she says happily as the smell of apple pie spreads throughout the apartment and before you can move to a different seat Sam gets up to get you water and painkillers while throwing out the glass shards she pulled from your hand.
"Here's some water and painkillers, make sure you take them," she says handing the cup and two pills to you, and as you take the painkillers with the water you noticed Sam had wrapped your hand up.
"How did you-" You started as Sam was going to sit next to you when Quinn takes her seat, so Sam was going sit on your left but it almost seems like the world was against her because Ethan sat next to you.
With a light groan, she sat on the other side of the table next to Mindy who was facing in you're direction where you were slightly amused but in a tired way but you woke up a little when Tara and Anika brought over some bowls and utensils so you guys can dig in.
"Hey Sam" Sam turns her head in Chad's direction as he cuts the pie.
"What's up?" she says to him as you watch their interaction.
"Did you know that before you arrived at the party our y/n clocked the frat guy with a right hook?" he asks and you hide behind your hands as Sam looks at you surprised, seeing that your right hand is a bit swollen.
"Is that why his nose was bleeding?" and he nodded with a smile.
When Mindy chimes in "can we talk about how you backed up on to the curb"
And Tara joined in "Yeah I thought that was pretty badass," she says as you sunk deeper into the chair from embarrassment.
"Yeah y/n I was surprised at how pissed you were," Ethan says as the bowls of apple pie were being passed out so you sat up and grabbed one.
After taking your first bite, you hummed with a smile before replying "That wasn't my proudest moment I could have killed someone" you say messaging your eyes to prevent yourself from crying as you feel bad for showing that side of yourself before going back to eating.
"Here an ice bag for your hand," Anika says handing you the ice bag while she takes a seat next to Tara at the table and after you were done with your bowl you take it along with the ice bag to the kitchen sink to clean.
Then Sam came over with her bowl brushing against your right arm letting you know that she was there "I can clean it for you, here" she says taking your bowl.
"Thank you" you say before leaning against the counter and watching your friends from afar when you take a deep breath. As you took a deep breath in, Sam watches you and does the same as she gets done cleaning the bowls before talking to you about earlier that night.
"Y/n I'm sorry that I yelled at you earlier" she says pausing thinking about the events.
"It's okay I know you didn't mean it" you reply looking over at her tiredly but she feels like you're not getting it and just as you are about to return to the table Sam traps you between the counter and herself and you laugh nervously."Samantha Carpenter," you say her full name grabbing Tara's attention from the table as she noticed how close you two are in the kitchen as she was happy to know that her sister can talk to you to but if she didn't know any better she would have thought you guys were trying to mess around in the kitchen. Sam's mouth hung open a little not expecting you to use her full name, "I am aware that you were upset that Tara was at a party intoxicated mind you, and that you felt that it was my idea to take her" She nodded and you continued "You must not know me then, I hate parties like that and I worked up the courage to get your sister out of there or tried to anyway" you say with a sigh looking away from her "I may be Tara's friend but even I can't tell her what to do and I think you should let her spread her wings a little." Now it was Sam's turn to take a deep breath, taking in what you were saying and you added "Pequeño" you say using your pointer finger and thumb to show her what you mean making her smile.
"Are you planning to stay the night?" Sam asks, hoping you will say yes and she watches you as you think about it, noticing how long your lashes are and how your e/c eyes underneath them are intriguing as she held herself back from wanting to kiss your lips but to her nothing beats your kind and understanding personality.
"Sure why not," you say looking up at her and she looks at you with content wondering how she can be so lucky to be graced by you.

Happy Smutty Shisui Sunday! I didn’t forget about my man.
This week I went to hell and back and back and back some more. Hardly had any Shisui or Uchiha simpy time for myself. 😩😭 Completely missed my ovulation horny thirst week!! I hope this makes up for it, to you and to me.
Ovulating or not, I’m still unbearably horny for this man.
NSFW; Shisui has been busting fat loads of his cum inside of you. In hopes that you’d end up pregnant & yes, I know Shisui’s birthday has passed. Consider this some sort of retroactive celebration on top of Shisui smutty Sundays.
WC: an ungodly amount of horny brain goes brrrr; mostly edited. My eye started to twitch so yea.
Well. Obviously after about six months he starts to think something is wrong with him or you. He wasn’t entirely shy when it came to making sure he thrusted his warm cum deep at your cervix. And even so far as to repeatedly fucking one load after another into you. You just sort of figured it was that Uchiha breeding kink and let him have his way to sate the desire. That maybe he couldn’t help it and that might be why you ended up beneath him for hours, folded like a pretzel and flipped over to be taken any which way.
Certainly the breeding was partial to it. Shisui really was and at some point admits to hoping you’d grow round with his baby. “…can we talk?”
Was there something wrong with the swim team? Last he checked; or well the yearly physical. They were in prime condition to root and grow inside your womb. There wasn’t a damn thing wrong with him. And maybe he peeped your file and saw everything was in working order for you as well.
“Shisui-kun.” You sit with him at the table; the concern that spreads his face is immaculate. “What’s wrong?”
How does he say this without coming off as weird and maybe even a bit creepy. “I’ve been trying to get you pregnant for the better half of a year and …” full stop when you grab his hand and squeeze.
“Oh, Shisui.” That soft smile he loves so much stretches your lips. “It’s severely impossible at this time.”
Severely?
Well how in the nine circles to hell was that? ‘At this time?’ So it could or had been possible before. “Explain this, please?” It sounded so desperate when he didn’t mean it to. The words wrapped around his larynx and dried his throat, and barely sounded normal as they scratched their way out.
“It’s called birth control.” You try not to laugh, how was he unaware of this? You’ve mentioned it in the past. Maybe long ago.
“No, I would have seen you take the pill. I figured you had stopped since…well, since things are more serious.” How cute was Shisui when he struggled to express his doubts, second guessing if he was full of it or not. Certainly he knew there were other forms of contraception. The look on his face as you explain what an intrauterine device was had you almost in tears of laughter. Even someone like Obito was aware of this.
To think that a measly piece of plastic wrapped in copper was interfering with his family planning!? This was inconceivable—literally! He was an Uchiha for fucks sake. How could something with no substance other than metal and plastic prevent such powerful genes from taking root. This simply did not sit well, but eventually passed as Shisui went through the phases of realization. It almost felt wasteful to think how many times he’s tirelessly laid you down, had you cramped beneath him. Talking filth of spilling into you and milking himself bone dry.
Hot and sweaty; orgasm after orgasm. Even a silent prayer to the gods that he would be blessed with a next of kin. The sour look on his face before he sheepishly smiles said it all as you speak. “I am sorry this disappoints you.”
In reality, couples talked before they had children. Shisui was an entirely different breed of man. He didn’t operate on reckless abandon but to say that the shock value of your uterus not being at his disposal was not something he counted on when he was purposely trying to fuck a baby in you. He almost looks pitiful.
Shrugs it off. Patching up his wounded ego, “it’s fine.” When it didn’t really feel fine. A small part of you felt guilty seeing him so forlorn over it.
And another deplorably sick part of you revels in it, how desperate was Shisui to make your body his in more ways than one. “We can talk about it sometime? Typically…this is a group decision.” With what little words he could manage now, Shisui deliberated the ordeal wasn’t in his favor.
That stung a bit. His irrational need to pump you full of his own personal brand of Uchiha specimen completely outweighed the rational sense of procreation. It was a dual effort and Shisui, too, felt a twinge of guilt. “I’m sorry.”
Yes, he was. You can see it, feel it. How adorably cute he looked with puppy dog reds. So caught in his emotions that the forehead kiss you planted took a beat for it to register. “No harm, no foul.” Your forgiveness was much appreciated. You took it far better than he anticipated in this instance.
From that day forward, a new idea populated in your mind. It was stupid as all hell, but what a better birthday gift than the very thing that tormented his ability to impregnate you. It crossed your doctor as weird when you asked if you could take it with you. Usually it was a firm no, this was a biological hazard. But having the privilege of dating one of the most influential men of all times, from the most prestigious clans the Hidden Village ever produced. The only time you would ever pull that sort of weight over your head. Shisui would surely not appreciate you using the Uchiha name to get what you wanted.
Much less to instill fear into the doctor with no recourse to back it up.
But it works in your favor. Wrapped up cute, the device rests in a small box. Of course this wasn’t a real gift, it was a gag. The real gift was some specially designed and crafted ninja tools, a subscription to that expensive ass hair care he bought throughout the year and well. Your undying love and affection of course. What better way to bring a man to his knees when he came home from a long mission than to tell him that your womb was for the taking? It was hardly romantic, how were you supposed to know this man would froth at the mouth as he entered the kitchen.
Well, you should have known. The skimpy crotchless lingerie you are wearing was a welcome surprise. Then bending over into the oven as if you hadn’t noticed he was there, I mean you did. Looking over your shoulder told you all you needed to see. That thousand yard stare as the kaleidoscope behind his eyes wound tight and instantaneously bled red. Even further widening to elicit what most would call formidable. It was a treat for you when Shisui salaciously threatened you with his Mangekyō. This was a special occasion.
There wasn’t any part of you that his eyes mapped out and took in as you approached him.
“Happy birthday.” You whisper, leaning up to pepper a soft kiss on either cheek before his eagerly opening lips nip at you. “Hungry?”
How easily she looked into the Mangekyō as if it wasn’t a loaded gun. “That’s an understatement.” His hands have been running up and down your sides already, thumbing at the lacy material that did fuck all for the imagination. It literally wrote the entire thing for him. “What’s this?”
Shisui obviously knew it was his birthday, though he hadn’t expected this display of affection. Ok; that’s a blatant lie. He did expect some sort of celebration but this was on an entirely different realm than what he considered.
The opener gag gift. That little wrapped box was easy tore through in swift fashion. Though, its contents perplexed him further. Looking to you again, red silk pearls spin wildly. “That was the baby inhibitor.”
Oh. This was the thing. “Was?” Mission lag had not been kind to Shisui, it was a rough few days. Too many stalled attempts before it was accomplished. But being a genius didn’t leave him entirely ignorant. “Oh.” Like, now it clicks. That this—this exact tiny thing was the actual thing. Which meant, “you’ve been liberated.”
It was a funny way to put it, but to Shisui it meant everything. It meant that he could actually move forward with you. Not that you hadn’t already been moving forward, but this was the sort of progression he desired most.
“…has it?” He asked again, your silence only made him reconsider, and as you held his face with both palms. You gave Shisui the most tender kiss, full-mouthed and deep, he whispered through broken kisses. “Are you truly prepared for this?”
Those words alone send a heat to pool in your lower stomach. That and Shisui’s hands gripping you tightly as they trembled at the curve of your waist. Whether it be excitement or lack of sleep. Probably lack of an actual meal too. He didn’t quite feel like eating dinner in this moment.
“The situation has been rectified.” Those simple yet effective words had more of a profound impact on Shisui. Had you not realized this was something he desperately needed? “It will take a few cycles—”
Words were futile for a man in Shisui’s position. This exact moment found you backwards walked in a series of scorching katon kisses. He nearly singed the back of your throat when he kissed you this way. Maddening him further was the soft touch to his belt as you unclamp it and untucked his cock. Searing more the same kisses your jaw, throat and chest when you stroked his flaming erection. How deliciously sweet but spicy that Uchiha katon tasted as it sat in the back of your esophagus.
Your dainty bodice was left somewhere in between the hall bathroom and the master bedroom door. You were already squirming on two fingers knuckle deep before your head hit the bed. Scoffed at the loss of his cock in your hand. That crotchless little thing had Shisui spreading your slick and tonguing at your clit before you put on whatever act you had planned.
“Your…gifts.” A hopeless mewl when you came on his mouth the first time, Shisui was far too gone.
“…fuck the gifts.” This was more precious than any gift, that you were fully capable of doing him the honors of taking his genetic material and making it into something so valuable and beautiful. “…I don’t care if you take to my seed today, tomorrow or next month. This right here is for practice.”
It wasn’t any sort of sex that you and Shisui had before. Sure, sex was sex when you looked at it from any angle. But this? This was being caged under a man who had little resolve left with his actions. By no means did he hurt or leave a mark that wasn’t planted with the utmost respect for you and your body. Red marks on either side of your neck, chest and thighs. Once Shisui determines you were properly worked out enough for him.
The twitch in his cock as he luridly strokes himself before you, wild eyed and tinted. As he divides you over his length, he shucks both your knees with his arms and full on dips the entirety of his hips into the padding of your ass. It’s almost painful when he presses into you this way.
Only then did he fuck you mercilessly. The consistent deep thrusts are the first to make your eyes roll shut. Hardly ever did he use his teeth, but when you moaned out his name like that. Needy and wanting. There wasn’t anything else he thought of than to bite every inch of skin his mouth came across. You were cramped up so snug beneath him, completely immobilized and at his mercy. The subtle touch of his testicles on a full cock length thrust every now and then. His rhythm unrelenting. Shisui attentively listens to every soft mewl and whimper out of your precious mouth when his lips and fingers don’t have it preoccupied.
But damn did he love the sound of you moaning around his fingers. Choked out on three of them, as your ‘cute little pussy’—or so he called it. Fluttered and milked another deeply buried load into you, at this point he was merely tap to release. Bottoming out into a seemingly bottomless pool of his own cum. It seeped and spilled on to the nice silk sheets you intricately place earlier today.
The dull pulse of another orgasm as he continued to pump so slow, but incredulously deep. As if he purposely never fully fucked his cock into you; which was a far stretch. The many times Shisui inundated the swell of your cunt with his ever throbbing need and used it as a dump was more than you could ever count. How effortlessly he coaxed three more orgasms out of you, each one spasms and threatens another deposit out of him.
This was undoubtedly breeding. No way to describe it overwise. If you hadn’t of guess it by now, the things he said to you were more than an indication of the long night ahead of you. Powerless, but pleased to no end. You didn’t think however many orgasms he worked out of you were possible. You lay almost limp and useless. Along for the ride. Not to mention how sticky and nasty your legs felt. The amount of pain this man’s testicles would bear tomorrow morning was worth while. As if continuing to thrust into you would make his cum leak out less, Shisui was operating on what you assumed was less than half a brain cell. His eyes were lost, distant. Even with the Mangekyō boring into you this way his foresight that he was thoroughly finished hadn’t caught up.
You patted his cheek lovingly. It took a real special woman such as yourself to understand a man like Shisui.
“…Shisui-kun. You can stop now.” It wasn’t a plea, more of a distraction. There hadn’t been any warmth filling you from with in. Just whatever he managed to slosh around inside of you. It caked your insides.
But your seeet voice thrummed through his ears and his heart sank, “…oh …gods.” It was that moment he regained some semblance of control. Having fucked you on autopilot. The apologies flood as the kisses peppered your cheeks.
Here you lie, plugged. Stuffed to the brim of your cunt with his cum. Whatever didn’t manage to leak out still ever present inside you. The viscosity of it only thickens as it sits. So gentle when he slips out, the massive bubbles as his cum fully empties out of you. Shisui didn’t realize the reach of his own body. Scooping you up, he plops you into the tub.
The clock reads three hours that dinner had been sitting on the counter. The warmth of the water soothes your aching legs and back. Shisui hardly used his full strength to outmaneuver you, but this time he hadn’t the slightest how far he took it.
“I’m fine.” You smile, wholly fucked and tired. “…it was just for practice right?”
Shisui ran both hands through damp curls. He had forgotten all that was said. “It won’t be anything like that again.”
But what if you had liked it? “I’m partial to it…” dipping just below the water, up to your nose and not averting your gaze from his. “It was hot.” There you said it.
Shisui smiles the width of his mouth. Hot, you thought it was hot to be fucked like a cocksleeve? “Is that so?”
“…yes.” There wasn’t any way around it. “Just maybe, we take turns?” This was something Shisui could work with.
Slipping into the tub with you, behind you. Shisui leans you against his chest. “I can manage that.” When you mentioned it was rather endearing aside from being mostly prone. He remembers, “about those gifts?”
“After you reheat dinner.” The soft white of the foamy bath water is washed over you by Shisui with a loofah.
He could do that. He would do anything you ask of him. Especially knowing that from this moment forward, he would be undoubtedly indebted to you once that beautiful body of yours was swollen for him.

YOOOO MODDLEE
yeah I did it again.
(Help I have a problem of disappearing into thin air)
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR PART THREE OF CUT CHAOS SHEBSJNSUH
you said you would write 500 chapters.. but like obviously exaggerating..? (Kiddinggg)
tho a few more couldn’t hurt..
juuuust saying if you ever feel like it I will eventually see it and it will eventually make my week. <3333
BUT THATS NOT WHY WE ARE HERE! (I’m sorry my requests are always so long and dramatic bro I just brain like that)
Actual request:
ok so like I knowww cut chaos started from rumours but like rumours are an easy way to start plot lines k? (Also I use she pronouns out of habit but they is pog too)
the friends in question: Tommyinnit (duh), Wilbur (moosic boi), Ranboo (generation loss trauma guy), Possibly Slimecicle?? I know he’s not someone you do requests for normally buttt if you’re okay with it that would be POG, or if slime is a no, tubbo!
SO a few months ago Y/N started working on an SMP with some minimal custom mods, some fancy texture packs, maybe some data packs, and its like this BIGGG project, BUT its not public and its taking a lot of her time, so she can only really do a few streams and most of the time because her schedule is so full its hard to work out streams with friends so, she is alone. with the internet being the internet people started to think something was up, some annoyed viewers made a few rumours and people kept making things up and escalating things until people were saying she did all sorts of horrible things to “lose all her friends” but one of the most popular theories was that she was emotionally abusing them (??? Internet wildin ig) she ignored them while mostly finishing the stuff for the smp, but decided to address it in a very- y/n way. Getting four friends to come to her house and hide slightly off camera while she made a purposefully bad apology video only for them to jump out at the end and her to stand up and be like “YALL REALLY THOUGHT I WAS SOME MASTER MANIPULATOR?! I’M JUST A FUNKY LITTLE CHAOTIC MINECRAFT GOBLIN N’ I’VE BEEN WORKING ON AN SMP THIS WHOLE TIME!! ITS GONNA BE SUPER COOL AND THESE FOUR PLUS ALOOOOT MORE PEOPLE ARE GONNA BE THERE I’M POSTING THE CREATORS SOON AND ITS LAUNCHING IN A MONTH!, SO STOP ASSUMING I’M A BAD PERSON AND GET PUMPED BITCHES!” something along those lines, maybe at the end a little peek at what people are responding with. (Obviously no pressure, but like id be cool) (thanks for considering deity of the busses and models.)
HOW WE LIKING THE SILLIES?!?
P.S I’m not always an angst gremlin (just most of the time..) - ✨🌌🌙 Annon
I DO BE LIKING THE SILLIES (and thank you for elevating me to the level of deity, my ego has been inflated)
Pairing: Cc! Wilbur, Tommy, Ranboo, Charlie Slimecicle x Gn!Reader (platonic)
Roaring Rumors
Tumblr media
Life was all about sacrifices.
Or, that’s what you keep telling yourself when you’re up at 1AM working on your server. Putting together an SMP is harder than it sounds; texture packs, data packs, comparability, world-building, even the (seemingly) simply act of contacting people to play on it. For the amount of time you spent on your computer, your hands might as well be part of your keyboard.
Sleep wasn’t the only thing you sacrificed. Streaming, even just fun ones with your friends, had quickly became rare. Although you loved to hop on a call while coding still, your online presence had severely receded.
You just keep telling yourself that sacrifices are necessary. That the payoff would be worth it.
And it really would be, but you just had to get there first. Which was proving harder than you had thought.
At the very least, you still had your friends. Wilbur sitting silently on call with you while you work, Tommy dragging you out of your room, Ranboo always willing to get excited over your progress. Every day you woke up with a text from your groupchat—typically Charlie—just filling you in on the latest internet trend by a meme.
Today, your news comes from Wilbur and Tommy.
“I think they’re canceling you.” Wilbur says casually while you’re in the midst of detailing the hunger bar for a texture pack.
“Ooh, you’re a wrong’un!” Tommy yells in the background of Wilbur’s side of the call.
The three of you had been idly chatting while each doing your own thing. Wilbur and Tommy were engaged in some Twitter competition, as far as you know.
“Canceling me for what?” You ask, deciding to ignore Tommy’s shouting.
“Existing, I think.” Wilbur answers.
“So the normal.”
“The normal.”
Although the conversation stops there, you can’t help yourself. Later, during one of the few hours you dedicate to getting sleep to stay alive, you pull open Twitter on your phone. Your last tweet was nearly two weeks ago, so it’s been a minute.
But you just want to make sure nothing horrible happened while you were busy. You’re a content creator, this is normal. Definitely. You definitely aren’t just justifying this so you can do it.
You swipe through tweets, heading to trending and searching your name. Tweets load, making your mouth run dry. Wilbur wasn’t joking.
All you can do is scroll, reading as the messages get wilder and wilder. From people saying they were missing you to theories on why nobody was streaming you. Each one seemed considerably more implausible, and before you know it you’re glaring at your screen like it’s to fault.
Some thought you had grown apart.
Some thought you had a falling out.
And, apparently, a lot thought you were emotionally abusing them. Or, depending on the tweet, manipulating them.
Quite honestly, you didn’t even know how they got the idea. The long threads of explanations did nothing but send you into a spiral, biting your bottom lip so hard that it bleeds.
You were so close to finishing the SMP. It needed just a few things, then you'd be able to start scheduling to get it up and running. You didn't have the time nor mental capacity to deal with whatever the fuck is going on right now.
Is it a good choice? Maybe not. But do you still ignore the accusations? Hell yes.
-
By the time you get even closer to finishing the preparations for your SMP, you've come up with the perfect plan to address the (quite stupid) rumors. It'll be a two-in-one; you address the rumors and announce the SMP at the same time.
"How long do I have to lay on this floor?" Tommy asks, stretched out behind your chair.
"Nobody asked you to lay on the floor." Wilbur points out, standing next to your computer. Charlie, on the other side, laughs.
"Yeah man, you wanted to be down there."
"Besides, I'm doing great down here!" Ranboo chimes in.
You roll your eyes, grinning. "I'm about to start stream, so it won't be for much longer. Just wait for my cue, yeah?"
Tommy grumbles, but shuts up. You take that as your chance to start the stream, switching it off your waiting screen and waving to the camera. Your chosen stream title has brought in a bit more than your usual casual steam view number, "Talking about some serious stuff," leading people to believe there will be drama. And if it's drama they want, it's drama you'll give.
"Hello, hello!" You smile, leaning back. "So I've decided to talk about some things. Namely, the Twitter shit. I am so sorry for everything, and I mean that. A lot. Sincerely. There's meaning in it."
Tommy snorts, and from the corner of your eye you catch Wilbur kick him to shut him up.
"What am I sorry about?" You ask rhetorically, acting like you read it off of chat. "Oh, you know. People have been saying all types of stuff. The things about me manipulating my friends?" There's a pause while you let that sink in. "So, I'm sorry."
It's a purposefully shitty apology, but you sigh and act like its heartfelt for a few moments, nodding towards chat. Their messages are mostly confused, especially because it isn't one emote-only.
"Sorry you guys are so gullible!" You shout, and Tommy practically tackles you.
Wilbur's the one to fix your chair, Ranboo and Charlie appearing next to you within moments.
"You guys really thought this one could manipulate me? The master?" Charlie asks the stream, pointing at you.
"Yeah!" Tommy shouts, way too energetic for someone who complained five minutes ago about being on the floor. "We're the master manipulators! Get fooled!"
"I, for one, haven't manipulated anyone-" Ranboo starts, but Tommy slaps a hand over his mouth and nods empathetically.
"Yeah, I don't know what you guys were thinking, but I've just been playing fucking Minecraft for the past few months nonstop." You laugh.
"Nonstop. It's a problem." Wilbur nods.
"It is not a problem!" Pause. "Anyways, I made an SMP! And that's where I've been! Not because I've been manipulating my friends or some shit, stop being dumbasses."
"It'll be super cool!" Ranboo adds in helpfully.
"These four-"
"That's us!" Charlie points around at himself, Wilbur, Tommy, and Ranboo.
"-will be on it, plus a lot more. It'll be posting those people soon! As in, check your Twitter obsessively guys! The SMP will be in about a month, too, so get fucking excited! I want to see some hype!"
"WOO!" Tommy screams, making everyone cringe at having their eardrums ruptured.
"So that's all I wanted to talk about I think. Anything to add, guys?" You glance around at the four surrounding you with a grin.
"One thing." Charlie nods, leaning in really close. "I have a secret. This SMP, it's actually-" He hits your end stream button mid-sentence. "And that's how you keep 'em interested."
