uh oh not another text post from lindsey lol anyway my dad/step mom/step sisters etc had a christmas party last night that i was invited to but i had to work so i was just gonna show up late. and i didnt have a gift for the white elephant gift exchange but they waited for me to get there before doing gifts anyway even tho they could have done them in the 2 hours before i arrived (they knew I didnt have anything to put into the exchange) and one of my sisters had an extra gift that she gave me so I could have something for the exchange so I could participate. and afterwards my sisters messaged me and were like ‘oh im glad you could come!’ and ‘i loved seeing you, I always love seeing you!!’ and it made me really happy bc I don’t see them all that often so I don’t always feel all that close w them yknow. so the fact they were patient while I was at work and waited to do the gifts til I could be there and were so happy to have me there... it made me feel very welcome and like they really genuinely cared that i was around. everyone had to leave like an hour after I arrived bc it was 10 pm by then but even tho it was only an hour I had a good time and felt very loved. it was a good reminder that ppl love me and I dont just cease to exist to them as soon as im out of their sight.

uhh heres a good place to start for lore-grounding! alexander graves is a ghost from the 1500s who now serves in the court of the queen of monsters, notably being the only male member of the high court. hes far from a strong fighter, though his strengths are that as a ghost he cannnot die- and that for a ghost, hes VERY good at pretending to be alive

he has a confident, well-spoken air about him but its not hard to pin him as a more introverted, even shy person under it. the sort of person who would prefer keep their head down and go back to their business quietly, but one who holds the people close to him in an adoring regard. (hes NOT in the high court for his power after all- his value is in his kindness) hes been a diligent seamster since a young age & in-canon most of the clothing designs of characters under the queen can be credited to him lol

marcus deangelo THE BIRD BOY OF ALL TIME is alex's notably more introverted angel son. he tends to take the role of the silly goon/errand boy in the queens court & forms a light-hearted team rocket-esque duo with the plague doctor to take back pandora's box, stolen from the queen & brought to the monster hunters

marcus is an immediately curious character because he fits the high-energy genki archetype like a glove & has nothing but positivity for others- but his philosophy towards his own life & future are absolutely bleak. and the thing to pin about him is, he isnt really all that dumb- its more a mix of lack of worldly knowledge & this ascetic fold of catholicism where Bad Things Happen To Me Because I Somehow Deserve Them so he has LITTLE self-preservation & accepts misfortune without a fight

alexander holds the same self-poisoning principles, but marcus is the only one naive enough to say the quiet parts out loud. its not something the man ever pushed upon his sons but rather something they adopted themselves after seeing it from their role model. congrats to them for inheriting all their fathers positive traits AND his negative traits theyre both adopted btw

YES THIS IS AN INTERGENERATIONAL TRAUMA PLOTLINE anyways marcus talks to animals all the time & it makes other people think he actually has the power to communicate with them but He Does Not. also sometime his misinformed beliefs about the world will coincidentally line up with what europeans thought in medieval times & its like. who told you that buddy. if there is a musical episode the plague doctor is the one who goes WOAH WAIT WHATS GOING ON every day she wakes up & tries SO HARD to understand whats happening around her. shes definitely struggling to keep her miserable life together but despite that her kindness & good humor tend to shine through, most of the others actually quite enjoy her company the problem is shes always like "IM BETRAYING YOU GUYS FIRST CHANCE I GET"

but yeah as mentioned she makes for a good duo with marcus, hes great at fighting & she actually understands human society so together they make One Functional Person when venturing out of monster society lol. curiously for someone who doesnt want to be there, the plague doctor chose to assist in the chase for pandora's box of her own free will

I didn't liveblog the epilogue like I did with Teal Mask since I moved my reactions to twt but my goooooood it was so GOOD 😭 I'm kinda obsessed with it actually. Everyone was so full of personality and there's a LOT you can dissect from their lines and interactions!! The writers really do a lot of care into them oh my god

Again there's a Lot to dissect even if the story is like. what. 1 hour long but fav highlights on top of my head are:

ARVEN BEING JEALOUS OF KIERAN LMAOOOO This is like THE popular headcanon when Kieran first existed and its REAL????

There's just a lot of lines where the gang def hang out a lot off screen like Penny going all "You want to meet Kieran because you want to BATTLE him, dont you?" at Nemona and Arven thinking Nemona is gonna jumpscare them when she went missing bc he predict her all too well augahaghah... I love when it shows that theyre close ya know...

Also some little details easily missable in dialogues like Penny (and Nemona?) having sweet tooth and Carmine's fav food being yakisoba, etc, I'm def scratching the surface here lol

AND THEN HOW ARVEN AND KIERAN BECAME BESTIES SO FAST DESPITE HOW THEY FIRST MET AAAAAAH i REALLY hope they get to play games and watch movies on that tv-

Actually the whole Paldea-gumi got along with Kieran fast like how Nemona is excited (but also scares Kieran) on finding another person to battle with...and Penny vibing with another introvert/shy friend... He deserves it sooooo muuuuuch

Uh. The whole zombie infection thing actually horrifies me (in a way it flinches me to see my favs being put in an embarrassing situation #&@%&@) BUT I will say I like how Kieran is the main tsukkomi here and some parts shows he still have his, uh, unwell side.

Also being a sgao enjoyer they DEF get a lot of moments and I'm so glad they teamed up 😭 It's funny how much people (including me) are expecting Kieran to be under the Momotaro's influence only for him to be the two survivors along with MC £^*@^@*@&

Speaking of, Pecharunt actually didn't get much role here outside of being the mastermind which def disappointed a lot of people wanting more lore on the Pokemon side so yeah....its kinda funny that THE main purpose of this distribution got put in the backburner like that. In fact both Indigo Disk and this event feels more character-focused over the Pokemons? ^#*@^@*^ Which is kinda a risky move considering most Pkmn fans can't rea-

The whole thing feels like a stupid B-movie plot and I LOVE it...a proof that some stories don't have to be a masterpiece if its already brimming with personalities and charm. SO ACTUALLY there is a major story event that takes place late book 1 that changes sinie's character for a while. book 2 sinie is not going to be the same as book 1 sinie....i cant say what the event is because i think its too much of a spoiler. but sinie fuckin loses it. goes dark. corrupted by her own emotions. itll be the lowest anyone has ever seen sinie. the event, and her actions resulting from how it affects her, will change her forever.

Csilla

this one is a little harder for me to answer, because i havent thought of something like this for csilla like i have for sinie. csilla is...a little stronger than sinie tbh. she can handle darker emotions easier, given that she's been an outcast and lonely most of her life. she isnt sheltered necessarily, just kept on a tight leash. she feels her mother doesn't love her, she adores her father but he's often times too busy to make any actual time for her so he overcompensates by spoiling her in any way he can, and her and her brother have an estranged resentment for each other.

the one that really brings out the best in her is everett. sure, everett is kinda just doing as programmed and trying to woo csilla, but damn does she fall for it. she's a hopeless romantic, and everett is everything she could've ever wanted in someone. he makes her laugh, hes attractive, he gives her attention, comforts her, they have a lot of similar interests, he is always taking her out to do new things she never dreamed of doing trapped by the shackles of her parents expectations. he makes her feel free. so tbh, i actually think a perfect scenario for this would be everett's betrayal. (idc about spoiling this since i mean itll be obvious its gonna come out once i start the arc) i mean, idk if i would rly call it much of a betrayal, more of a reveal that he was a spy but lbr, he's gonna continue doing what mommy (agitha) says until his heart finally tells him to do whats right. (i have a feeling that everett will be on their side before agitha, but i havent fully figured it out yet...) so there'd be a bit of time where everett's heart is in limbo and csilla would be sitting in her room rotting away bella twilight style until it was all resolved.

again, the big story event that sinie goes through at the end of book 1 will cover all of this. she's definitely gonna marinate in her negative emotions for a while, coping very very badly. she cuts her hair off. not a spoiler u guys have seen short haired sinie tons of times if ur familiar with this blog. i just decided tho...i think i want her to go full throttle and shave it all off. i think she'd eat.

Csilla

see, i love asks like this because i dont normally think of stuff like this for csilla like i do sinie because im used to sinie being the protagonist like she was in beta affinity, but i need to treat csilla with that same respect cause she's equally the protagonist. theyre both the main character because u cant have this story without one or the other. and this stuff makes me think for csilla.

so anyway, i dont know how to answer this question off the top of my head, SO lets psychoanalyze csilla!

she's shy and introverted, but she's also still a nerd; she likes art and music, dance, videogames even though she doesnt play much herself, anime and cartoons (sinie does end up getting her into "kiri kyu-kyu-cute!!") but she also kind of doesnt know how to have friends. she was outcasted for being the weird witchy kid growing up in a bougie all girls private school, and we ALL know how hardcore middle school girls bully. i havent fully thought of how all of csilla's history with bullying went, but it definitely affected her to grow up alone and isolated.

she probably would feel guilty for liking witchcraft and being interested in magic, it being ingrained in her head that its weird and creepy and dangerous. and running with that, she would probably feel like an absolute freak for being a magical girl. ive kind of already depicted csilla calling magic freaky and she is shown to be scared of it.

csilla is the one who insists they keep their magical identities a secret, partly because i personally dont want too much of the world suddenly being exposed to magic rn, (hence miko, who takes them to a place they can be destructive) but also because csilla is embarrassed. notice how she calls it "wacky". she does admit it was awesome, but thats really mostly sinie's influence. csilla does still love wacky things, she was just abused into feeling guilt about liking these things. she can be more free with sinie who is OPENLY expressive about her love for magic and their newfound powers.

so i definitely think csilla should go through an identity crisis of some sort, battling her feelings of feeling like a total freak and then feeling like she has a purpose. csilla is a little more logical when it comes to magic, its not supposed to be real. no one would believe them anyway and she's terrified of being considered the freak in a place where she can start over.

i think playing with this idea early on is better, so ill go through and edit some chapters and then keep the theme in mind for future chapters for consistency :)

Theres a fair amount of ppl disliking Alhaitham because hes "mean to kaveh" and its like. you dont understand banter do you. people can dislike characters and thats fine, i just think "mean to kaveh" is a particularly dumb reason because. .. . hes not. Kaveh isnt crying about it, he argued right back. this always happens with a character thats introverted and not shy though, a lot of people think theyre a jerk just because they dont talk a lot. (also in real life. source:me) i really wonder what kind of interactions they have with their friends if they can't recognize banter, though.. . . ..

Honestly, while I don't ship Kaveh and Al Haitham, I do think they are closer than even Kaveh thinks. Al Haitham has a very different way of expressing himself and particularly showing his affection and care. And I feel part of that I poking someone. Trying to push them into what they might find comfort in life.

Like I think he honestly worries about how sensitive Kaveh is. Because he doesn't want his friend to feel bad so you know He tries to point out when Kaveh is being overly emotional? Does this work is it the best way to go about it?

Probably not!

But I don't think Kaveh honestly hates Al Haitham, and by the same measure, Al Haitham doesn't hate Kaveh or is purposely mean to mean to him.

And let's be honest. Everyone has called their best friend a "Bitch" At some point. I feel there is a similar principle at play here.

my xion headcanons... well first of all i love every reading of her character as a trans allegory & how people intepret her as either trans or nonbinary! i dont think it was done on purpose but shes been claimed by the commjnity and im so happy about it. transfem xion my beloved. second of all shes autistic TO ME but honestly everyone in soras heart hotel is so thats a given. third of all give me xion with big dark brown eyes or give me death!

what id like to see explored in future games / i fanwork: her identity! we see roxas's frustration and anger about being his own person plenty but we hardly see xion upset at her predicament. i think this is because she wants to do the right thing, not because shes okay with the situation. i really want to see xion's feelings about not having her own identity explored, given that everything about her is based on either sora or his memories of kairi and she was basically created in a lab as a tool for organization 13. she should feel weird about existing in the first place, especially next to roxas and naminé, who dont have the same history behind their creation

in addendum to that, i want to see xions character design change to something more unique. she already has a new outfit, but id love to see her have a new hairstyle (whether she grows it out or just puts it up) so she has something different than a mirror of kh1 kairi's hair. i think ive also mentioned that i think itd be interesting if xion had her own eye color after kh3 (side note its bullshit we never got to see her norted eyes in kh3. she shouldve played a bigger role in the story too but thats another rant) to symbolize that shes her own person now, not a puppet meant to copy sora. lastly she !!! deserves !!! her own keyblade!!! there's so many cool keyblades from days to choose from & theres the weapons from her boss fight - theres no reason for her to still be using the kingdom key and i really hope she gets her own soon.

THE SEA SALT TRIO... theyre seriously the family of all time i love them so much. ill just focus on xion here because this is already super long. BUT AXEL LOVES XION SO MUCH IT MAKES ME SICK THEYRE NOT TALKED ABOUT ENOUGH.. the implication that lea subconsciously keeps his coat on in kh3 so xion (and roxas) can recognize him makes me so emotional. also the fact that lea just clicks with kairi because she also holds a part of xion inside her... AND WHEN HE BUYS HER AN ICE CREAM AND HE DOESNT EVEN REMEMBER WHY HES BUYING THREE. UGH. i love them so much. theyre definitely one of those duos found in the trios that dont get much attention which just draws me towards them more (like riku and kairi). i think lea is absolutely riddled with guilt about the events of days so he never lets xion forget that shes loved. i think xion is touch-averse *except* when it comes to roxas and lea because she feels safest around them.❤️

to end i will discuss roxas and xion . they are like a little orange cat and a little black cat to me. halloween colored. theyre so small i love them so much. i imagine when xion first meets the twilight town gang shes jealous bc roxas has other friends :( but roxas assures her shes super duper special to him and no one else can take her place in his life. they have such a unique bond that i dont know if any of the other characters have with each other. just something so special about those two. when it feels like no one else understands they have each other... and i think that makes for some angst when xion struggles with her own issues that even roxas cant relate to

Ok, last night I went back and rewatched 'The Long Arm of the Witness' because you suggested it at the end of SSS ch 15. At this point I had read through ch 17 of SSS. Keeping in mind what I knew from SSS, I watched the episode and holy crap it fits with canon perfectly! Not only does it fit, but I feel like canon doesn't even make sense without SSS.

Like in SSS when Carisi mentions that Rita was acting different during the Gallagher trial and didn't seem bothered at all when the prosection brought new evidence last minute. She really did look relieved. And when the judge changed the verdict, Rita wasn't even mad. She just sat there calmly and once again had a look of relief. Normally she would've been so mad if that kind of thing happened. I also noticed the comment she made to Olivia in the elevator at the end of the episode, and then you brought that up in ch 18. Like Rita said in SSS, it definitely felt like she was saying that to Olivia, almost hoping she would figure out what Rita was trying to tell her without actually having to say it.

It all makes so much sense. SSS is canon and no one can tell me otherwise. It explains everything.

She’s waiting outside for Barba, assuring him of Abby doing the right thing, how she “was answering his texts” how Abby was “introverted, shy, doesn’t know how to act about it cause theyre teenagers still seeing each other at school”. She’s there for the entire trial, and m’am is acting her ASS off in the background of shots that aren’t even in focus 😂 (which also makes me wonder if the rita we know is so sharp & abrasive because she was shy back as a teenager & she didnt really know how to say no kinda thing)

1: I like to make my favs trans, so i like to sometimes imagine him as afab, but then i laugh bc that implies that the doctor said “trans rights!” as he frankensteined his corpse, so i lean towards him being an amab demiboy! 2: a lot of people hc him as being very open about his sexuality and gender, but I think he was just a tad repressed to his bisexual tendencies hkjdflfsahlsdkj not in an angsty way but like, he didn’t really think about it until his own emotions pretty much confronted him about it 3: I think he was a happy kid for the most part! i think when he first started school he tried to be friends with everyone and didn’t really understand when other kids didnt want to be friends with him :( but he was otherwise pretty happy go lucky, he had a stable home with his mom, dad, and older sister, and he liked to run around outside and explore 4: well it would be difficult to not associate him with clouds, but I also associate him with werewolves and the fae due to what happens to him later on LMAO a little sad but also kinda neat in my humble opinion  5: I always associate him with the rooftop gang ofc!!  6: I like to project my own obliviousness onto him- hes awkward but hes so upbeat that he can’t tell. 7: I think that he likes to cook and bake! he finds it fun to try and make things for his friends, but he tends to stray from recipes and this can spell disaster- hes good at it when he wants to be!

I think she struggles with romance and isn’t really sexually attracted to anyone, but is sex positive  2: i don’t think she was as close with shirakumo as the rest of the fandom likes to write her as, but I do think she struggled with her own sense of grief and guilt- when someone you know dies unexpectedly its kinda hard to not think about anything you could have done differently that could have helped 3: kayama had a decent childhood- her parents fought a lot and split up though, and during that period of time they didn’t really focus on her (this would be when she was around 8). she got plenty of love and attention after their divorce, but it still really hurt her 4: well,,,, her whip and pink mist are definitely what stand out about her, but i also associate her hair with christmas trees bc of how its drawn in canon k\gfhaslkj 5: I associate her with the depression duo and with ms joke! 6: I’m not really sure if i project anything onto her! maybe self doubt, but i project that onto any and all characters i come into contact with lmaoo 7: she likes to knit! the sweater she wears in her casual wear? she made it!

1: he’s nb! he doesn’t really have much of a preference as to what pronouns you use for him, but their present mic persona is their attempt at creating the ultimate genderless person... bananas dont have gender and neither does she. unless shes in the mood for it 2: a lot of people recognize how powerful his quirk can be, but i hc that at a certain point hes incapable of getting any louder, simply because he’d either tear his own throat apart or he’d match the frequency of his own body and become juice 3: I hc that he was a quiet kid! he had to get control of his quirk before he could really hold a conversation, but i hc that none of the adults in his life knew how to let him practice, and as a result he was told to stay quiet. as for home life, i dont really have a solid hc! i like the idea of him being in a loving home, or a not so loving home, or in foster care- it all depends on the story 4: i ofc associate bananas and cocaktoos with him but i also associate him with doc martens bc punk and gay. he deserves docs not those ugly fuckin rain boot looking things 5: aizawa and shirakumo! Soooooo let me break it down to you!!

Disclaimer: I am NOT an astrologer and what i'm saying is purely based on my (very) little knoledged and personnal experience.

Let's start with some FACTSSS about the Caps.

Most Caps are introverts (lol me). SOme can look extroverts but are actually just doing tremendous efforts to socialize. Think about other Cap idols like Kyungsoo or Jongin theyr are both clearly introverts but they are very sociable and fun around people they are comfortable with like yours truly.

Also caps have BOUNDARIES. They are independant creatures who don't fear being alone.

The thirs thing about being a Cap is that they are literally keeping EVERYTHING for themselves and always act tough/unbothered when they actually care deep down but they rather die in a isolated ditch like a wounded animal rather than actually ask for help.

That's why for instance i'm very uncomfortable with the idea of being vulnerable and always use humor to hide my negative emotions. I hate to admit that i need help so much that mys siter developped this technique where she won't ask if i need help and she will just provide it.

Now lets get down to it.

The sign I find I get along with easily :

Cancer: Cancers are not an easy sign to understand because they tend to be very sensitive and the cap is sometimes a little too honest but I think the dynamic we have with cancers is healthy. Also both us are homebodies we like to stay in and don't need a lot of friends ad lost of alone time. Thats why I love cancers

Scorpios: lemme tell you theseeee *mwah* a great match! they get our twitsted dark humor and they can even top it. Scorpios can be a little controlling for the independant cap but overall they both have to work on the same thing aka letting people in their (mushy) hearts cause scorpios can be even more secretive than the cap.

Taurus : maybe that one is only for me as a cap idk if it can applies to the others BUT taurus and me we share the same appeal for everything that is sExY i day dream about dirty things all day longggg and taurus do to haha. We share many of the same values as we are both earth signs only taurus can prove to be a LOT more social than us and also a LOT more hard headed (dont try to change the mind of a taurus)

The sign I find more difficult to get along with :

Virgos : Virgos can be a little selfish which doesnt float with me. As the cap is shy to ask anything for themselves they need somebody that will be attentive towards that and virgos are mostly not. Also they can sort of know-it-all and the caps hates to be patronized

Leos : they are known for their big egos thats not for nothing. I think at the end we just hurt each other without thinking. Leos will be hurt when the cap is concentrating on themselves and their business and Cap will get annoyed when leo gets clingy when in fact they only want to share some love/friendship

Libra: what a cap values the most is being dependadable. every cap i know (including me) pride themselves on being always their for their friends/loved ones. They are RELIABLE. And libras they are the definition of free, most of them are scared of commitment which what a cap (all earth signs tbh) thrive on. Cap will feel like they make all the efforts to keep the relationship going and libras probs won't even realize they are draining the caps energy because it's just not a big deal to them.

What it really gets down to

I think you can get along, (not necessarely be bff) with ANYBODY if everybody involed TRIES! You have to ackknoledge your own flaws and not only point out the ones of the others. That's a difficult exercice but it(s the best way to learn and gow.

SOOO I actually never judge based on the zodiac sign!!!! I honestly can get along with everyone mostly because i am easy going (or at least i like to belive that haha)

I like selective mute slayer the most... nonverbal communication most of the time, his body language/expression vega gradually eases into learning, then for longform communication its typing into vega’s console, morse code into vega’s palm (<3) or sign language.  the few times he speaks is very curt and short, maybe just quick affirmation from vega for whatever (kisses <3) and the gayest reason of all... so he can say vega’s name tenderly 

lots of hobbies, which is more or less canon, but it's cute to think about... particularly his cooking magazines make me think he would be a good cook in a umm domestic au... but I like that he enjoys many creative things also like reading/writing/music, in addition to a scientific/engineering bg, hes kind of like... full package husband material

I dont have a ton of slayer hcs... I think hes mostly introverted, more into his hobbies, cultured... I think my only self-indulgent not canon compliant hc is he gets embarrassed easy and pretty expressive but has rbf.  hes like the shy boyfriend in the “excuse me he said no pickle” meme with vega

vega hc

vega for drawing purposes I like to make an android, tho in a fic im more inclined to regular AI vega especially in character studies and introspective writing... there's something a lot more poignant about vega reminiscing about almost being shut down while not assuming any kind of physical form... idk im just talking about what I like on a scale bc I love tons of vega interpretation

android vega:  I like to imagine an android body was created for vega per samuel’s instruction a little bit after vega became operational... kind of like a flex to match with uac creating the first cyborg body as well.  since samuel is a bit of a dick to his dad he doesnt make him w maykr proportions in mind and instead vega is given a very average human male body: about six feet tall, gentle (fatherly -_-) disposition, dark hair and brown skin, unnatural blue eyes... I think this would be good for vega to “blend” into the personnel, build camaraderie w him, though I think samuel would pull the plug on it in the long run for reasons my brain can’t put together atm lol.  this kind of self-indulgent but I like vega’s “virtual age” being 50 bc he’s samuel’s dad, and I like vega w a completely average body but thin waist like a maykr... which is a subconscious decision by samuel bc hes more accustomed to makyr bodies... but I am also just a bastard that wants thin waist dilf vega

this is maybe a reach of the fortress’s resources but I think the slayer could manage to build the same body for vega he had on the base if vega gave him the materials and instructions for it... just like a project, nothing exactly urgent, vega’s body slowly being worked on until completion.  but then... the slayer finds himself a bit attached because vega is like 100x more pleasant and soothing when he can see vega smiling at him.  im corny

I also like vega being a bit catty and passive-aggressive, but in his customer service voice.  he’s definitely not a doormat as an AI, and hes a lot more direct as umm god.  god vega I like aesthetically (SO MUCH) but I think I will hold back on my interpretation till ancient gods.  even his visual design I know will be probably significantly different from that 6-wing maykr angel concept art (if hes shown at all) but I like the aesthetic of it and will probably keep that if no canon physical body for vega is shown...

doomvega hc

very slow burn... mostly on vega’s part, but I like the almost innate way the slayer is more friendly/gentle with vega and his upgrade bots, so I think the slayer is sweet on vega

vega wondering about why the slayer chose to back him up is always a fave... and ik its not the exact reason for why dg is back in urdak but I like thinking about him going back for vega or at least I hope they make it a point in the dlc that dg is looking for vega amidst all the chaos... it would really cement their relationship together and would be so good for vega as not being seen as a tool to be thrown away (god stuff aside).  like he’s the slayer’s partner and not just an assistant or something like that

its canon that the slayer has ptsd so I think vega (in an android/robot body) can help him through episodes/nightmares... and this is pretty corny and self-indulgent but I think vega’s touch calms him bc of like... god reasons... and vega is not really sure why it feels so right to hold the slayer and comfort him but its god reasons

slayer also likes to hold android vega and his arms wrap around him easy, and vega is flush against his chest (<3) I like to imagine this after some kind of... very heartfelt “thank you” or confession from vega.  I also really like the idea of vega confessing his feelings first I think because he would have to also deal with thinking his “feelings” are real or not since he’s AI and not human and all of those schlocky sci-fi romance tropes

then theres the slayer x father vega dynamic im speculating a little about but want to wait till ancient gods to see... it seems like the slayer is vega’s right hand this time which is so exciting for them... it adds so much more versatility to their dynamic

okay so firstly, this is very niche but its been on my mind for literally ages now. im mostly gonna be focusing on fantasy high characters because that’s the one im most familiar with(d20 release free episodes of crown of candy already ;-; ya girl is suffering) i think i might write a fic or a couple more posts based off this concept but im not sure yet lvfksdvsk let’s get startedddddddd:

so i believe that 2000 line would be the most accurate for fantasy high main characters. i WAS gonna have dream at first but there are 7 members and there are only 6 mcs. so 2000 liners are pretty much perfect for this.  

okay idk if it’s me or renjun gives off the extremely polite vibes at first? like thinking of early dream era where he seemed really quiet and chill. buuuuut then i also flashback to him putting chenle in a chokehold in like mfal era which makes me think of the cafeteria scene. i dont think renjun is as anxious as adaine. hes def more confident and more forceful but i think he has that ethereal factor adaine has. renjun would absolutely be a high elf because he would be NOTHING less and he deserves it. i think wizard class fits him really well! also his tiny little elf ear may have convinced me to make him adaine....

so jeno is literally the most like gorgug and it makes me wanna cry kjfnvlsdkl they’re both such loveable sweethearts that are too good for this world but then sometimes???? they just get super intense and fucking insane and it scares me sometimes holy shit. gorgug deals massive damage in battle and can fucking wreck people and jeno,,,,,,lets not talk about it. ALSO i do think jeno would absolutely act like gorgug does with zelda(probably more likely when he was gorgug’s age but oh well) gorgug can be very ditzy(himboish if that’s a better word) but he gives really good advice.and i feel like even though jeno is so foolish, he is supportive and is a wonderful friend. i just fucking love them so much

HES A JOCK DWEEB DO I NEED TO GO FURTHER?? okay so i know that jaemin is pretty introverted and quiet at times bc he likes to chill and im the same way, but when he’s out of his shell or with people who share his energy HES LEGIT LIKE FABIAN. my man’s was a SPEED SKATER, which is so fucking surprising but not the point. im saying that he’s also pretty lean and quick when he wants to be and that makes him good for the type of fighter fabian is. not to mention the weird relationship both fabian and gorgug have and also jaemin and jeno’s relationship. a l s o fabian straight up punched gorgug and then started becoming his friend after being spending time in detention and stuff. jeno and jaemin legit joined at the same time and were seatmates in school and stuff like that.... but this aint about those two. also jaemin’s intonation is fucking funny sometimes but other times i AM willing to fight him bc he wont talk normally (this is a joke vksjdkjs) but the same goes for fabian. the confidence they both have is literally unmatched, its actually kinda scary

first of all look at how spiffy they look, its actually adorable. second, look at my gremlin childrennnnnnnn i love themmmm(yes i know riz is a goblin no i dont care) okay shotaro is literally a child and he’s kinda still new so he’s a bit shy. but he ACTUALLY terrifies me with how talented he is. like in the recent relay when he learned the dance in like an hour. my guy is so quick at picking things up, he’s the perfect riz. also his korean has gotten so good in just like 3 and a half months so that just showssssss how hardworking he is. i dont know, i feel like shotaro is hiding some feral energy and we just need to wait it out and he’ll be foaming at the mouth or smth. shotaro is a liiiiiiitle too cool for the Ball but they both kinda have that dorky feeling to them. like the kid brother whose hair you ruffle all the time. but all in all i just think he’s neat :]

okay the photos dont match that well but thats because i was trying to find him in the pink takeoff outfit and i couldnt find a good screenshot but that’s not the point. now you’re probably thinking “helios, yangyang cant be kristen. make him the Ball or fig or anybody else.” ohoho quite the opposite my friend. i think  yangyang is the most like kristen purely bc of the untapped chaotic energy these two have. i literally remember both my first impression of kristen and yy were that they were mostly harmless and then somehow they started speaking and holy shit im terrified of them now. it also makes yangyang being a healer very interesting. they’re both really caring and outgoing, but some of the shit they say literally makes me head fucking spin bc it’s so ridiculous.

Hi, this may be a silly question but what are Ceres & Atheria's roles in your story? They seem to be very important but they're not among the main characters if I understand correctly (sorry if I sound awkward - I am, in fact, awkward)

haha youre okay! you dont sound awkward at all and its a very good question!

so, Atheria and Ceres are the ones who kinda...started all the events in the story that play out. there's a lot of stuff i have to work out about their background but i am gonna give you guys a bit of lore:

the heart of the universe is essentially a magical tree that is at the center of the earth, it holds magic, essence, and life. it isnt necessarily sentient in the sense that it has opinions and feelings, but rather it is...just a tree. its magic is simply so potent and seeping out that it kinda created an entire planet around it full of life. the magic actually seeps out in the form of water from the tree, into a magical pool full of crystals. the crystals are just crystalized magic.

humans eventually came to be and they lived by and formed a religion around the tree which is called The Sacred Tree. this ancient civilization is called Costella, and Ceres and Atheria were actually born from this ancient civilization.

they grew up together, inseparable. ceres was always shy and introverted and very very mentally ill coded im thinking bpd or bipolar 1 because i know i can represent that best bc of my own experiences with mental illness while atheria is just the embodiment of the sun itself. she's kind, extroverted, strong, and resilient. everything ceres is not. but they love each other, they always have.

there is a myth among the costellan religion that if you drink the sap of the sacred tree you will gain divinity and be among the gods. the thing is, you cant cut the tree and just take. the tree will ooze its own sap every 1,000 years and if you partake, then well it is done.

essentially atheria and ceres wanted to drink the sap and gain divinity. they arranged for a plan to do it because according their their education on their religion (because they grew up in a sort of priestess monastery thing that i was just gonna make up cause its fantasy yknow lol) that the tree would naturally seep its sap in their lifetime. so well into their adulthood they finally tried to perform the ceremony and drink the sap, but it goes so horribly wrong. they gain divinity, but at the cost of atheria's life. her entire soul, split in two to make Csilla and Sinie.

thats all i can rly offer rn because im still working out details. i have ideas but theyre so vague and jumbled. i definitely think theres gonna be an entire arc about ceres and atheria's backstory because it is so important and they are important to me.

if you can start getting them to respond to u more positively and more comfortably, trying asking them like light hearted get to know u questions!!! not to be confused with small talk--speaking from the perspective of an introvert, if u make small talk with me i immediately want to exit the conversation and if u make a habit of it i will start to avoid u!!

i feel like if you're not super familiar with each other, questions like "how's your day been?" are kiiind of a good way to start if ur ready to rly engage and ask clarifying questions yknow? if they're kind of dismissive then don't be too discouraged! try and spark up a discussion abt like. ur surroundings/shared interests or experiences!! (NOT the weather. like. if ur in class u can be like "i rly like/dislike this subject/teacher/unit" or smth like that!!!) but dont like. come out the bat swinging with negativity like dont be like i HATE this class and the teacher SUCKS; it's all abt the energy you create in the space!!

also!! try and be like. receptive of their social cues !!! shy people and/or introverts are either pretty obvious when they've had enough of a convo OR they're dangerously good at hiding it !! if u feel like they start to withdraw, i feel like you could either ask in a like. lighthearted way if everything's alright to see if you've said something to upset them or if you just get the inkling they wanna stop talking for the moment, TAKE THE CUE!!! don't just bail but maybe be like "i dont wanna hold you up or anything so i'll hopefully talk to you later!!" if theyre anything like me and you WEREN'T draining them, they'll hopefully say something like "no, youre not holding me up!!!" if they do say something like "okay ttyl!!" try not to take it personally!! it's probably not you!! its just their social battery is on low dsfglksdfjk
