Notes: Continued from days 3 and 18 - @house-of-the-moving-image and I just wanted them to be happy after all we put them through. 😭❤️

Steve has always been all movement, all fluid grace, for as long as Eddie remembers. On the pitch, in the pool. Shielding others with his own body, his strength. He was proud of this. It was the one thing he knew he was good at.

And then Vecna nearly twisted his limbs from his body. Broke his arm in three different places, his leg in five.

“They say I'll need to be patient,” Steve tells Eddie a few months after everything, hands tangled over the middle console of the van. It's late December and they're on their way back from physical therapy. “Could be months before I walk without crutches. Years maybe before I'm back to the way I was before… or close.”

Eddie clenches his free hand around the steering wheel, like Steve clung to that stupid handrail earlier. White-knuckled and pale-faced, jaw locked tight as he struggled to take a few shaky steps. Not for the first time, he wishes that he'd been faster, pulled him out sooner-

“Eds.”

He snaps back to the present as if pulled by a bungee rope. Steve’s eyes are warm and soft.

“Stop it,” he says, gentle and firm and so very strong, so very Steve. Eddie needs to swallow against the sudden thickness clogging his throat. “You've nothing to hold against yourself. You saved me.”

“You saved yourself,” Eddie huffs, eyes stubbornly trained on the snowy road. “I helped, is all. You can do this, too. You'll be walking in no time, you just wait.”

“Dunno,” Steve mutters. He sounds so small, so broken, so very much not like himself, and Eddie wishes he could resurrect Vecna, simply to kill him again. Make it more painful this time, let him suffer like he made them suffer. “You saw me just now. Feels like I need to fight forever for every little inch of success.”

“Let's make a deal?”

The words are out before Eddie can think better of it, but the sadness on Steve’s face has given way to curiosity, so he shoulders on.

“We could make it a new year's resolution. If you manage to walk by … July, let's say, I'll quit smoking.”

“Oh, please!” Steve's eyebrow quirks. “As if you could.”

“Of course I could. I'm tired of you whining about my cigarette breath anyhow. What's wrong, big boy? Scared of getting your ass handed to you?”

“Fuck off,” Steve grouses, but his mouth is curling into a smile and his eyes are sparkling. “It's on, dude!”

“Hell, yeah!” Eddie makes no attempt at hiding his smug grin. Count on Steve’s competitive streak to win him over. “It's so on!”

“Oh God,” Steve squawks the second his hands lose contact with the crutches. “It's off. Eds, it's off, give’m here.”

“Nuh-uh!” Eddie dances a step back - not far, still close enough to catch Steve in case he falls, but far enough to keep the crutches out of reach. “Just give it a shot, c’mon. You got this.”

Over the distance between them, their eyes meet.

“I've gotcha.”

Steve's eyes light up and a small laugh bubbles from his throat.

And then he walks.

Eddie makes sure to stay a bit ahead, spouting a never-ending string of encouragement and jokes and sweet nonsense. Just keeps talking so that Steve can focus on something other than the fear and the doubt. Guides him with his voice like he's done before, like he'll keep doing for as long as Steve needs, as long as he wants.

The first steps are unsure and wobbly, but soon enough, Steve finds his footing. They've both kicked off their shoes, and the dry summer grass is brittle under their naked feet, the earth soft and warm. The sound of their footfalls mingles with the whirr of the cicadas in the grass, the rush of his own blood in his ears, their mingled laughter, a gorgeous, wonderful symphony of alive, alive, alive.

When Steve’s legs give out and he stumbles, Eddie is there. He cushions their fall with his own body and they go down in a tangle of limbs and laughter, lips meeting before they even hit the ground. The crutches go clattering somewhere to the side.

“I did it!” Steve gasps against his mouth, and Eddie can't tell if the sound is more laugh or more sob. “Shit, did you- did you see that? I did it!”

“You did it,” Eddie rumbles, hands in Steve's hair, kissing his lips and nose and eyes and anything he can reach between words. Both their cheeks are wet with tears, but they're good tears, finally good tears, and he can’t tell whose they are anymore. It doesn't matter. All that matters is that they’re alive, and here, and together. “Fuck yeah, you did, always knew you would. So strong, so amazing. Love you so much.”

Steve makes another sound, a raw thing so full of emotion it makes Eddie’s heart flutter, and crashes their lips together again, firmer, longer. Eddie sighs as a hesitant tongue coaxes at his lips, opens up, lets him in.

And then Steve groans and pulls back.

“What?” Eddie asks, insides twisting with worry. “Shit, did you hurt yourself? What-”

“‘m fine!” Steve wheezes, glancing up at him with watery eyes. “You just taste like an ashtray, is all.”

“Oh, c'mon!” Eddie grouses while Steve rolls off him, flops onto his back in the grass. “I had like half a cig this morning.”

“Half a cig too much, then,” Steve beams up at him, all glinting teeth and gold-streaked hair in the sunlight, eyes sparkling with mirth and alive, alive, alive. “I win.”

Eddie pouts. “What though? Can't remember agreeing on a prize, this was all fun and-”

One strong, nimble hand tangles in the collar of his shirt, pulls him in.

“Shut up and kiss me, ash breath.”

Eddie has never obeyed an order more gladly in his life.

i was tagged by @bg-sparrow like 20 days ago but forgot. figured now (1 am) was the perfect time to do this 😎

"Until I Get Home" (100K, G, Complete) marty and doc get stranded in 1885 for two additional years after the train plot fails. comes with shenanigans such as alcohol, scarlet fever, and lots, lots of hurt/comfort dad doc moments!! i've honestly been feeling a lot of nostalgia for it lately, and i'm very glad that i still like this fic no matter that i wrote it with 15/16 and not the best english out there. it's my baby.

"Most People Were Silent" (45K, T, Complete) 40s doc fic featuring marty being stuck in the decade, and adding fun ocs to all the main historical events! now has a completed sequel and is getting a threequel, which is in progress right now. i like it because i think the writing did my idea justice, and it's a bit of a different thing than i usually do.

"The Perils And The Promise" (57K, T, Complete) speaking of different things!! this right here is a rewrite of jules verne's "around the world in 80 days" with the bttf characters in the main roles! i'm putting it on the list because i just finished it yesterday. it's definitely niche stuff, but i had lots of fun writing it :]

"Time Waits For No One" (10K, G, One-shot) i LOVE sickfics, so writing this one was, once again, a blast! marty is really the punching bag of this fandom, huh. this one has marty getting pneumonia after arriving in 1885 and doc having to modify their plans concerning their way home, clara, the festival, and buford tannen.

"Flight Of Fancy" (6K, T, One-shot) a character study of doc brown, kind of focusing on his relationship with science and his dream of achieving time travel when taking into account several events that are (*cough cough* bob gaLE) canon (poor dude). this was a spur of the moment fic, and i really liked diving into doc's mind for a bit!!

How long have you had your writing Tumblr/Writeblr? A fast and loose estimate is fine!

I've had a Tumblr account for about 6 months or so but I've only been a 'writeblr' for a couple months.

What led you to create it?

Idk tbh. I kinda just decided that I wanted to share my writing and it led me here.

What’s your favorite thing about the Writeblr community?

All of the creativity is amazing. I'm a whore for lore and world building, and the worlds that y'all come up with are immaculate. I could only hope to think of a world that vast and interesting.

What’s one thing you’d like your mutuals to know about you?

Please ddon't take me seriously. I've said it before and I'll say it again, but I'm not just a clown, I'm the entire circus. The day you take me too seriously (especially as an author) is the death of my whimsy.

Is there anything you’d like to see more of on your dash?

Nothing I can really think of. I'm pretty happy with how it is rn lol

Which Works-in-Progress (WIPs) or writing projects are you noodling about, lately?

Bloody Hands are Kind and None of Us Heroes are always floating around. They're never not beating my ass with ideas and scenes.

How long have you been working on them?

I've been working of the series component of Bloody Hands are Kind since February, and None of Us Heroes for about 1 and a half months.

Do you remember what inspired them/what got you started?

None of Us Heroes started from the Honkai Star Rail brainworms known as Adventurine and Dr Ratio. Their designs and story inspired the two main characters of None of Us Heroes. The series component of Bloody Hands are Kind was basically me shoving a long-standing OC of mine into the Hunger Games universe and praying it would work.

How much time, in your best estimation, do you spend thinking about them?

At least a few hours a day, usually when I'm laying in bed trying to fall asleep. My array of illnesses make falling asleep hard and I find that thinking about my stories makes it easier to forget that I'm not asleep (and therefore hopefully fall asleep).

When someone asks the dreaded, “What do you write about,” question, what do you usually say?

"Whatever the voices command."

What do you want to say (if it’s different from what you do say)?

Meh I say that because I find it funny so idk if I'd change it.

Max Foster. He's easy to write because me and him share a lot if similarities.

Do you ever cringe at them?

Oh definitely. A lot of my old characters are cringy.

How much control do you feel you have over your characters? AKA, do they ever “write themselves,” refuse to cooperate, or do things you didn’t expect? To what degree? Are some less cooperative than others?

Dude idk what to tell you, whenever I try and force my characters to do something I hit the biggest writer's block wall I've ever seen.

YES YES PLEASE ASK ME!! Anyways, I don't really care how you ask (I just want you to ask lol), but if I had to pick it'd either be asks or comments on Ao3. Though ofc I still love questions in any and all forms, even if it's something like making a separate post and tagging me loll.

What makes you want to follow another Writeblr account? Do you follow ‘em as you see ‘em, or take time scoping out the blog to make sure you align with its content? Do you follow based on WIPs, or vibes?

I mostly follow people if I think their cool or if I find myself consistently liking their posts as they come across my dash. I don't follow people often tho lol. I only follow abt 20 people I think.

What makes you decide against following?

If their vibes are too negative, if they're super political, if their content doesn't align with something I care about, or if they're super anti something I am. Any combination of those could be the reason I don't follow.

Do your mutuals’ characters occupy space in your noodle?

Yes. I think about other people's WIPs and such all of the time. I love stories, what can I say?

Do you interact with non-mutuals often?

Of course! As I said, I don't follow many people so I don't have many mutuals. I love interacting with different people though, so I'm happy to strike up conversations with random people I find cool!

When did you first start writing?

With actual purpose middle school. Like 6th/7th grade.

Are the genres/themes you enjoy reading different from the ones you write?

Sorta. What's actually funny is I really ain't a fan of romance but I write that shit on the side XD.

Is there an author (or just a fellow writer!) you want to emulate, or one to whom you're often compared?

I'm not really sure about that emulate part. I could list a shit ton of awesome writers though (the people I taged and many many more) Lol, I'm definitely not compared to anyone though.

Can you tell me a little about your writing space(s)? (Room, coffee shop, desk, etc.)

I'm usually writing in my room, on a crowded tv dinner table. But I write in a lot of places, including passenger seat of car. Or in the library if I'm settling on strictly typing stuff. (I usually handwrite)

What's your most effective way to muster up some muse?

Listening to music and being busy as hell.

Did the place(s) you grew up in influence the people and places you write about?

I think so. I have a shit ton of black characters for a reason. I'm black, it's easy.

Are there any recurring themes in your writing, and if so, do they surprise you at all?

The power of friendship, violence, we were forced to together so now we working together, and "good guys" doing bad shit too. Those are usually pretty prevalent in my stories.

Would you please tell me about your current favorite character?

Uhhhh that's hard to decide but I guess I'll go Saz. Saz is my stud bear morpher dragged into a battle against the humans. She is stressed, bro is going through it, and she's a wrestler.

Which of your characters do you think you'd be friends with in real life?

Most of them honestly. I think I'd be more than willing to hear about Hollis's (Robots & Gardens) exploits.

Which of your characters would you dislike the most if you met them?

Cosma would get her shit rocked and I'd get mine rocked in return. And I think me and Green's anger problems would clash in really bad ways.

Tell me about the process of coming up with of one, all, or any of your characters.

They appear magically in my brain. And I obsess over them like I obsess over all of my interests. The Fucked at Five oc's were the one's that deviated the most because most of them are based on the movie Open Season.

Do you notice any recurring themes/traits among your characters?

Tough exterior but actually really soft and big women go brr.

How do you picture them? (As real people you imagined, as models/actors who exist in real life, as imaginary artwork, as artwork you made or commissioned, anime style, etc)

As a combination of as real people I imagined, comic book characters, art I made, and cartoon characters (like a banger indie animation).

Teehee it's how I process a lot of things and also I have to fill the world with content I want to see cause no one else is.

3. What’s a headcanon you can’t stop thinking about?

not sure if this is counted but i always like to think that once, ian got struck with grief about monica's death on her death anniversary. mickey asks him what's wrong and he opens up about it. ian will say it's stupid but mickey will truly handle it with grace and say nah man it's not. because yahknow, he gets it. and ian melts at it, because no one has acknowledged his grief like this before. mickey teases him about it a bit, sure, but deep down he held ian's mourning warmly, like petals on his palm. and they went together to the cemetery that day, simply sat in front of her grave and talked. the good things, the bad. and that despite it all "hey, tleast she popped out an alien lookin mfer i ended up marryin." they get pizza after.

5. What’s an idea you’d love to create if you had the time/inspiration?

i actually have a LIST lmao. one of those has something to do with art because i cannot take my mind away from human mickey and manananggal ian (manananggal is a Philippine myth creature with wings and can separate the upper half of its body from its lower half).

6. What’s something you’ve discovered since entering this fandom? A new trope you love? A different analysis of the show? Something else?

oh man. believe it or not, i was never into fics. i was in fandoms before, but i just couldn't get into fics within those fandoms (i tried). this is the only time i truly liked and LOVED reading fics. it really speaks volumes about the talent and dedication, and i'm glad i got to experience it.

it's also fun reading metas on the show and getting different perspectives, especially on characters. one of my favorites (just because i was so distressed about it the first time i watched it) are analyses on the city hall scene and ian's hesitation on marriage. after reading up others' thoughts on it explaining the why's, i totally felt some relief and was able to get some sleep. lol

7. What’s an underrated trope or concept you’d like to see more of?

apocalypse aus 👍

8. What’s your favourite season? And has this changed after multiple rewatches of the show?

The first five seasons are gems to me. but i truly love season 2 because it's so chill (at least compared to some of the heavier seasons after) and the gallaghers move as a unit. special mention for season 4 because it holds Emily and Lazarus.

9. What’s a plot hole you wish had been answered or resolved?

same qualms with @mickeysgaymom about mickey's mom. brain rotting over it.

10. What scene or moment do you feel isn’t discussed enough?

not gallavich related, and i'm sure people have already mentioned it, but sometimes it hits me how smart debbie is. like, i know she's smart, but people easily forget from all the chaos. at the heart of it, she's a fast learner and also would and have excelled academically.

11. What line/dialogue/description from something else (a poem, a book, a tv show, a movie, or something else) do you feel describes Ian and Mickey’s relationship?

aaaa @lingy910y beat me to it! it's totally "I'll take care of you. / It's rotten work. / Not to me. Not if it's you." but if i could pick another, maybe "I could recognize him by touch alone, by smell; I would know him blind, by the way his breaths came and his feet struck the earth. I would know him in death, at the end of the world."

12. What do you think is next for Ian and Mickey post-finale?

they'll grow old together and be just as in love, no matter what happens in between.

The reason I don't have a taglist anymore might sound a little arrogant maybe? Or like I think I'm 'too good' for that stuff, and I hope everyone reads this till the end because that's not what I think at all.

But I have a (in my personal opinion) pretty huge following (15k Followers atm), and the amount of people that interact with my fics, plus the amount of different fics I have make it almost impossible to keep up with all the names I'd have to tag for every different fic. And if I tag one person, or five, then I'll have to tag everyone who wants to be tagged, and if I don't and only choose lets say ten people for each fic, then I'm being unfair again and I favor people I like over others. (all stuff that I've been told in the past.)

TL;DR:

If I tag someone, I have to tag all. If I tag all, it'll be too many names. If I close taglist after a specific count, I'm gonna come off as mean again. So I tag no one.

Cast

I don't have this a single time! This would probably look a lot different if I was writing something with a magic system.

Ship

That makes Nat perk up despite themself. "Oh, what? Come on. We all know what happened here. Somebody messed up their duties, you had an enormous zombie problem, everybody jumped ship, and now your word of mouth reviews are at rock bottom and you're sweating to rehire."

Hold

I've used the word hold 18 times. Here's a selection:

She stays with them the entire time they're working on the filters. Here and there, she even lends a hand, but her wrists are small and her nails are long, and getting her to hold on tight to a component turns out to be an ordeal and a half.

Nat reaches for it, then thinks better of it and puts their sleeve over their hand before they unplug it. Standing, they hold it in Matcha's face, and she looks like she's about to throw up with panic.

Ron picks himself off the ground - he doesn't hold his hand out for Nat to pull him up. Nat doesn't offer it. He cracks his shoulder, alone, his face dark.

Protest

Five uses of the word protest! Interestingly, almost all of them are strong spoiler territory no matter how much I trim them down. I guess it's just a strong word to use?

"Téo?" Nat asks. "You're still worried about him?" Ron rubs his face. "Yeah. He's been real shit at answering my texts. I'm talking weeks in between replies instead of days now." "Hm." Nat looks down the neck of their bottle. "Are you still into him?" Ron sputters, spilling a splash of purple onto his naked leg. "Dude, fuck off," he grouches as he wipes it with his hand. Lower, he adds: "And you know that's not the right question to ask anyways." "What is the right question?" "Fuck off," he repeats. "What, are you jealous about him too?" "I am not jealous," they point their bottle at him in protest. "What do you mean too?"

"Great," he says. "You're putting me to work." "I am not," they protest. "Ron - Ron." Nat crouches down next to the bed, onto his level, and looks him in the eyes, twinging uncomfortably as they do. And for a moment, it takes everything they have to not ask him 'do you trust me?' Right now, they don't want to hear the answer to that question. three one-shots (hetero of the year, en garde, and lovely figurines), the last few chapters of like because, love despite, and the first five chapters of the road is made by walking.

3. What work are you most proud of (regardless of kudos/hits)?

i really did love writing (and still love) hetero of the year. thankfully, the kudos/hits do align with that, so i guess it's not just me. :)

on a per-chapter basis, hetero of the year with 7178 for a one-shot.

5. What work of yours got more feedback than you expected?

i was kinda down on like because, love despite at the beginning because it wasn't getting much traction, but in later chapters and especially once finished, engagement picked up a lot.

6. Favorite title you used

i rather liked like because, love despite. i felt it linked with the original movie closely enough but without being too similar and with a different angle to the original title.

7. If you use song lyrics, which artist’s songs did you pull from the most?

lovely figurines (still speak to me today) is the only title pulled from song lyrics, so i guess suzanne vega? the road is made by walking is pulled from an antonio machado poem that has been adapted INTO song, but i don't think that counts.

i haven't written about anything but wilmon since 2021, dude. xD

hetero of the year wrote itself SHOCKINGLY fast for a 21K-word behemoth of a one-shot.

like because, love despite took nearly a year to complete. about a month-ish per chapter, when you think about it that way.

i only work on one fic at a time, so i don't have WIPs other than the one i'm currently posting (the road is made by walking). i've got 31 ideas in various levels of detail in my "fic ideas" folder, though.

en garde clocked in at 3241 words.

this year marked a bit of a turn on my level of comfort writing simon. all three of my one-shots were actually from his PoV, and both chaptered fics alternate between his and wille's PoVs. not that i didn't write from simon's PoV before, but last year i still felt a bit apprehensive whenever i did; i've historically felt a bit too close to simon to feel comfortable writing him-- he's the character i identify with the most and that often makes me nervous that i'm writing myself into my stories rather than writing the character. i didn't really feel nervous about it this year. i guess practice makes… not perfect, but easier.

18. The character that gave you the most trouble writing this year?

i had to write more august this year than i've had to in the past, and i'm still cringing about it.

bish, please. xD in this house, it's wilmon or bust.

i've reread hetero of the year more times than i can count. it just puts a smile on my face, what can i say?

the TV? sometimes it's the news, sometimes it's just youtube videos, but i usually work/study/write with the TV on.

i feel like this is the same as question 3, idk. same answer.

29. Favorite line/passage you wrote this year?

i really loved the big argument at the end of chapter 9 of like because, love despite. i was really, really proud of how that scene came out.

30. Biggest surprise while writing this year?

it's not much a writing surprise as it is a reading surprise, i guess? but i didn't know so many people out there wait until a fic is completed to start reading it. i'm very much a read-as-i-go girl as long as i have assurances that the fic will not end tragically (always tag your angst with a happy ending, folks! don't alienate potential readers just by forgetting the tag!). but it seems a good chunk of the fandom doesn't start reading anything unless they know it's complete. and i totally get why, truly, but it just hadn't ever really occurred to me to do that, lol. xD

Hello! I've been on Tumblr for about a year now, but I've really only made a couple post, and never introduced myself since I shared this account with my older brother for a while, but he now has his own account @shadows-flames-and-ink (he only has an introduction post so far, but you should give him a follow of you'd like), so here's an introduction :)

I'm non-binary and bisexual, and love doing pretty much anything creative; such as painting, making pins, playing guitar or piano, etc. I'll probably post some art and other things I do on here, but nothing will be for sale, at least not for a long while(sorry).

I'd say I'm not big on reading, but that's not entirely true. I've read the first 5 volumes of Heartstopper, Radio Silence, Ryan and Avery, the first five books of the original PJO series, along with the first two books of HoO, and I'm open for book suggestions.

I'm a Marauders fan, currently listening to All The Young Dudes by MsKingBean89 on Ao3(I'm somewhere in year 3), and I've seen all 8 Harry Potter movies.

2. What’s your total A03 word count?

Right now it's 916,952 words. If I can get somewhat out of this writing slump, I should be able to crack the 1mil next year.

3. What fandoms do you write for?

Drei Fragezeichen/Three Investigators pretty much exclusively (506/520) with the occasional Tatort (Berlin) fic thrown in.

Yep! Love it! Because fic writing is also about community and i love talking to people about fic!

6. What’s the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

...probably 9mm, although some of the oneshots in the sometimes suffering is just suffering collection probably aren't much better (special mention for Kammerspiel, I guess.). If you go look at these, please mind the tags.

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

I write a lot of fluffy shit and I do love my happy endings, two fics that specifically come to mind are Vegas Wedding (Peter/Skinny wedding) and weil dieses timing immer irgendwas gegen uns hat (Cotta/Victor, who meet five times over the years but the timing is only right the sixth time and they're so so relieved they finally get to be together).

8. Do you get hate on your fic?

I got one weird comment a long time ago that boiled down to "trans!Cotta is unrealistic and not canon" (okay, chill?) and more recently (i think earlier this year or late last year) someone going "please block me so I don't have to see your fics anymore" (dude, just exclude me from the search???) but apart from that it's been quiet, although there do seem to be some people in the broader fandom that absolutely loathe me (or so I've been told xD).

9. Do you write smut?

10. Do you write crossovers?

Don't think I have yet. Although there is a poem in my drafts that I wrote for a Creative Writing seminar that parallels Lolita and Persephone, I guess that counts as a crossover in ao3 terms?

Someone asked me a long time ago on ff.net if they could translate one of my johnlock fics but idk if they ever posted it. Also my little brother used to translate my johnlock fic into german for english practice xD

Well, we started something last year, but I've never finished/published a co-written fic.

...there are a lot of those. Let's all keep our fingers crossed I'll eventually finish the perfect part about it is: it's all that i've got because I'm actually still mad passionate about it.

Dialogue, I like to think.

Long fic, no discussion. I'm decent at oneshots and short-ish multi-chaps, but real actual long fic is a battle.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

Sure! Love it! Currently it's mostly the occasional french phrase for Victor, but there is abandoned Inglourious Basterds fic on my hard drive where the dialogue switched between English, German, and French.

What’s the Magic Word? - My original self-insert story about a Witch aligned with the Straw Hat Pirates who finds herself temporarily allying with the Kid Pirates in order to reunite with her crew. I felt like a lot of fics I read at the time about Eustass Kid were pretty dark (which I love reading don't get me wrong) but I noticed a lack in stories where a character could be a part of the crew where they weren't coerced or kidnapped by the crew first. So I wanted to take an approach where a character is forced to be with them by outside influences, and how Kid and the crew would react and handle that. Plus it felt fun putting in a type of character that has not been confirmed canon in the series, despite the jokes that Dr. Kureha is a witch, which I lowkey buy but until its confirmed I don't think there are any witch characters full stop. This story is centered between Kid and Rowena and how they spend the 2 year time skip together.

Turn Back Time - This was originally meant to be an reader insert AU where the characters were relatable enough that anyone could envision themselves as the characters, but doing Y/N - especially on a book as long as this one turned out to be - didn't sit well with me and so I gave them names, and after putting so much love and effort into them and their backgrounds, they became more based off my own personal experiences. In fact, Andrea and Candy are loosely based off myself and my childhood best friend! Again, I wanted to take a different approach on how Kid and the Kid Pirates interact with people who don't mock or insult them, and now this story is more about what it would be like to be on the crew itself, in addition to the romantic relationships between the OCs and the crew. It has been a lot of fun not only bringing these OCs to life, but also bringing the crew itself to life - even if most of how I write them is entirely based on personal headcanons, I do my best to align each character up to as much canon information as we get from them.

At First Sight - this was a one shot that turned into a mini-series and I surprised myself with how much I packed into it. Originally a stand-alone porn trope collaboration story, I've put a lot of love into this one to create a fun story where the reader is the main character and the reader gets to learn who they really are at the same pace as the Kid Pirates. This is a story where the reader gets to meet and sail with the Kid Pirates under amicable circumstances but its not without tension, angst, smut, and violence. My first Y/N story that is 2 chapters away from completion!!

KillerCook - I saw a hot dude make brownies on Instagram and thought ‘what if Killer.’ That’s it. I feel like I managed to create an authentic social media experience that readers can visualize as they read, and I think that's neat! Plus its fun to see the crew in a modern setting just hanging out and doing fun things. Plus plus, I felt like Killer really deserved his own fic♥

Captain_CumShot - I'll be honest, I've never used OnlyFans so this was a real shot in the dark but I'm grateful to my beloved mutual (idk if you wanted to be tagged in this but you know who you are) who was able to guide me so I could create another modern social media fic that was true to how a real OF account experience would feel like. This fic is 100% to sexualize the Captain of the Kid Pirates because he would irl undoubtedly have an account where all he has to do is show dick and get paid for it. Easy money, easy life!

Vagueblogging because I encountered That Post(tm) again under the Tuscarora tag

Conflicted about the fact that the most popular Skarù·ręʔ post on this site has 70K notes and it was a refutation written by a white-passing Skarù·ręʔ person, posting their full family lineage (complete with photos of their childhood) in order to put an anon who told them they didn't "look Native" on blast.

On the one hand, good on them for showing people that you don't have to "look Native" to be Native. But you really shouldn't have to drag out photos of yourself in full regalia posed next to your mom in order to drive your point home.

On the other hand, nothing against them personally, but I don't think people should be listening to someone from this particular family. Their family has a... to put it mildly... spotty history.

And I don't mean they're a faker or anything, but rather that their yękhisutkę́·ʔhaʔnęhk may have been involved with some kačíkačiks, among other things, and it’s a little surreal to see so many people take someone from such a family as, like, a Spokesperson(tm) for our tribe. In truth, I think I've only seen this individual in person maybe once or twice.

Hell, I feel uncomfortable when people take me as some ambassador because my own white-passing, white-raised ass certainly doesn’t know everything. But there's also so few of us that somebody's got to speak up, and those who have always spoken loudest get heard first.

I may post quite a bit about my culture, but honestly I'm still pretty disconnected - the difference between me and them is that I was raised white, and I don't always feel comfortable in my lack of knowledge.

When I was a child, my mom put me in a white school in the suburbs because she feared I would be socially eviscerated at the Native school by her brother's in-laws (who are a part of That Family). Like, she was afraid her brother's sister-in-law, who was a teacher, would target me, a five-year-old, over these thorny clan politics.

Even so, I can't imagine thrusting the family scrapbook into people's faces to dunk on an anon and then have nearly 100K people reblog that for the whole world to see.

Like holy shit, the hellfire that would rain down on me. I merely dared to post language stuff on my previous blog and some asshole hounded me on Mother's Day with the most racist remarks you could imagine.

Suffice to say, our tribe has an unfortunate history of "big enchiladas" sliding in to make sure the history books record them as big enchiladas, and it turns out they're not big enchiladas at all. They just want to look important and by God, do non-Skarù·ręʔ people take them at their word.

Clout-chasing is the best-case scenario. Sometimes they turn out to be total slimeballs. You hear things, dude.

You'll always hear a certain name as a chief. He wasn't a chief; he got deposed. They took away his horns.

But because the published books Say So(tm), white people think he was a chief. He's called a chief in various documents to this day. And almost everyone who knows the truth and would cry bullshit are dead.

Dream Journal: Wild Rides

Two dreams to record and they were something. Felt like I was channel surfing as the first dream was a horror and the second was a police procedural / mystery.

First dream: I, apart of a very large family (which I am not in reality) move into a five floor house that we are unaware is super haunted. There is a moment where I am speaking to some detectives after everything has already happened and recounting my experiences, one of which takes me back to the moment where I describe walking down one of the halls and hearing footsteps behind me. Strange thing is the hall has carpet flooring and what I'm hearing sounds like bare feet on marble, not carpet.

Spooked by this, I dash down the hall and halfway up a flight of stairs where there is a level landing. I do the super dumb horror movie trope of stopping to look back and see what it is following me. I was appear feet first into view as it's obscured by the lower floor ceiling a very pale woman in a long white gown with long black hair. She has been walking this whole time, but when she reaches the bottom of the stairs and realizes I am looking at her, she fucking sprints up those stairs and towards me, getting so close I could have reached out and grabbed her. She does this making no sound aside from the footsteps.

I legit woke up from this and I don't get spooked easily. I immediately went back to sleep and without issue resumed the rest of the dream where it began to slowly shift here and there, I witness some other "family" members have their own weird experiences that aren't nearly as scary. The only one being close is when I'm running down another hall away from some dude that wants to trap me in a picture because it somehow relates to traveling through time, but I find a door in the house I've never seen before, but as I approach, it retains the size it had from a distance, thus making it super tiny up close. Things happen, I evade the old professor looking dude, and escape the house. I think. End of dreams sometimes get hazy and weird.

Second dream: I'm recruited by some British investigative higher ups and join them in searching for supposed bombs that have been planted across the UK by some dude that's been leaving behind riddles. I was recruited because I helped rescue someone overseas whose vehicle I was monitoring had been taken over and they had been forced to drive to a different location. I realized our systems were registering their speed in MPH, which is what the UK uses, but where they were, they use KPH, so I thinking something is off, switch the numbers and realize the driver is driving at exactly 50.5KPH, or in other words, 505, SOS. We send people after them and are able to rescue the driver from people that had somehow gotten inside and were forcing them to drive to a new unspecific location.

This gets me hired by professional problem solvers, people who crack codes and riddles and stuff like that and are affiliated with law enforcement. We're given the difficult task of aiding in a bizarre investigation where a bomber has reportedly planted ten bombs across the UK, one of which has already gone off resulting in no deaths or causalities, but makes us aware of their existence and introduces us to the first riddle.

We're given a destination, but no specifics and a riddle which is just a series of words. (Trying to remember them now, but it's hard) While driving, we realize too late that the motorway we're on is under renovations thus is closed off - our systems we're up to date apparently. I tag with a different driver in a vehicle made for dealing with both on and off road conditions and direct them down a different path, taking us through a wooded area and onto a different main road that will take us to the original destination.

With the clues provided by HQ via radio again, and checking the final destination via GPS and as we get closer, we pass through a large graveyard to our final destination and I make a connection with the clues and inform everyone that the final bomb must be the graveyard. I request a cross reference of victims in bombing related incidents that happen to be buried in that graveyard, my assumption being, based on the clues which give off a impression of someone dealing with grief and loss, is that the bomber knew someone that died in a bombing related incident and they are buried in that graveyard.

My hunch turns out to be right and as others investigate, they discover the body of the grave has been relocated elsewhere and in its place is a bomb which has been deactivated upon us discovering it. We also find new riddles and a new destination taking us elsewhere. Sadly, my dream ends there so I never learn what happens next. Like I said before, these felt like I was channel surfing movies or tv shows.

I will add though that during the mystery dream, I had a notepad and every time I wrote something down, the letters/words would be either difficult to write or impossible to read. And the GPS we had kept shifting it's "distance to destination" number going from numbers as low as 0.7 miles to 82 miles and any number in between.

Still training myself to recognize that if I can't read words or numbers correctly in a given instance, I'm either dreaming OR having a stroke.

Iced tea is a disgrace to tea everywhere.” “Okay, Mary Poppins.” Alex says before he can think better of himself. “Just because you can’t appreciate God’s sweet elixir doesn’t mean you’re allowed to shit on it like that.” The man tilts his head. “Oh? And you are the authority on this?” “I’m from Texas and I’ve worked here for two years. I think I am, actually.” The man’s lips twitch like he’s fighting back a smile, and Alex is struck by how attractive the expression is. He has the offhanded thought that this guy probably doesn’t have any issues getting dates with any woman that he wants. Objectively, he’s hot.  Alex has always said if he was ever into men, he’d have a type, and this guy fits it. Sure, he’s had vague acknowledgments of men being attractive before, like making jokes that when he gets married his wife will have to accept having Pedro Pascal as one of the five people on his list of celebrities that he can sleep with if given the opportunity. But it’s a joke. Mostly. This feels strangely different, like something sharp pressing against the inside of his ribcage. And the dude is just staring. Not that Alex isn’t, but this guy is looking at him like he has three heads.

haven't been like. an avid technoblade watcher for a while now, but i've been keeping up with his videos for the most part and fuck, dude. i'm sure a lot of us thought he was gonna make it, at least a little longer than he did. i don't think anything i can say can do justice to what i or anyone is feeling. this fuckin sucks. i hope his family is doing ok and that he's resting easy. o7

season 1, back when they’re just first airing the show. i’m an old man.

2. who was the first character you fell in love with?

sam’s always been my favorite. as much as i love dean, i’ve connected better with sam for god knows what reasons now.

3. who was a character that you hated at first but grew to love?

john winchester. funny thing really, because i really couldn’t like the man. but i grew up and i started to understand his reasons. he’s as flawed as anyone in his situation could be. he did his best, even if i couldn’t see it back then.

sam winchester. no really, look at this precious boy. he needs some constant in his life besides dean and i assume as long as i’m not a monster, i can survive for more than three dates? well i hope so, at least.

season 2. watching sam die for the first time was a real kick in the balls and even if i got kinda used to sam dying during good part of this show, the first time was really hard to watch.

16. what’s been your favorite season?

season 7 and 8, not because the shitty leviathan arc but because jared’s performance. he’s such a great actor and i could see it so perfectly well during the trials and the hallucinations.

michael. no regrets here. i really wish he had more screetime, but show loves to waste some great potential characters.

since they destroyed lucifer’s character completely, i’ll go with a classic one that they didn’t have enough time to fuck up: azazel/yellow eyes.

colin morgan. he’s a great actor and i’d love to see him in spn, maybe as a merlin cameo. it’d kill me for sure, but oh well.

i’d not include a specific creature but since i mentioned colin morgan, i’d love to see merlin in spn. i don’t this has ever happened during all the seasons and if they could bring colin to the mix, oh boy.

madison. i still miss her a lot.

i hope to see writers not destroying characters with a great potential (aka jack) like they did to michael. amara. lucifer. chuck. ahem. but i’m a dreamer and i know that’s exactly what’ll happen, so why bother?
