EX WIFE TASHI ARF ARF
ive been waiting for this one. there's a disturbing lack of tashi asks in my inbox i need this for my soul....
in this au, i think there would be no injury at stanford, and reader would be tashi's coach. you two would start dating after she gets her first career slam at age 22, and you'd get married when you both are around 24. around 25, you both adopt a girl named aniyah. that's when things get slick with your relationship. it's the make or break period, and you both break.
tashi's choosing tennis again and again, and the straw that breaks the camel's back is when she calls you and tells you that she thinks having a new coach would be best. to not mix business with pleasure.
you're pretty sure you've never scoffed so hard in your life. "you're telling me this over the phone?" before she can respond, you continue, "i guess i don't know when else you would, i haven't seen you in a fucking week. how's france?"
"good. you're my coach, and you're not here. proving my point."
"do you wanna know how your daughter's birthday has been, tash? she's two, i can't exactly frolic with her across the globe. she's already gonna be a homeschooled mess."
"that's ridiculous."
"no, i'm -- i'm tired of being ridiculous for wanting a -- a normal life with you!"
you file the papers that night, citing irretrievable breakdown.
the next day, tashi's knee slides out of place during the french open. she calls you a week later. ten at night, even later in france. unknown phone number you just know is her.
you answer. "you're not supposed to call me right now, tashi."
"... can i just talk to my daughter please? is she awake?" she sounds so broken you'd be cruel to say no.
you're sure you both cry while you hold up aniyah to babble, but neither of you say you are. after she's done and you put her to bed, the phone's still to your ear, though neither of you speak for a long while.
tashi does first. "i don't want this to be messy."
"me either."
"you can... i can pay alimony, then we can do 50/50 when my knee -- when my knee isn't -- "
you immediately soothe, "hey, stop. shhh. don't talk about it right now. it's okay."
"it's not fucking okay. everyone keeps telling me it's okay, and it's not. anna fucking mueller's gonna take the open -- "
"oh, i hate her."
"me too."
you both laugh drily, eyes wet. two minutes of silence pass before you finally say, "i should go."

Going from Stolas being a disney princess -> horny Blitz -> the fight -> the next fight next episode -> oh shit i did something bad here for fucks sake -> attempt at apology -> Stolas kinda moving on -> ???
Has really set up the course of the season. In my mind, 2 things can happen.
They don't see each other at all. Stolas avoids Blitz, and Blitz is scared to do anything because he's trying to take Verosika's advice
They see each other far too much. Like they're both everywhere.
Now, both of these have potential... And I think both can lead to a voice messy argument (again) where both finally apologise and they both finally see the others side.
Thanks for the ask I like doing these :)
My prediction is this, it's going to start as 1 and progress into two, when it progresses I'm assuming the last episode, my guesses based on the trailer is that ghostfuckers is the Blitz trauma healing episode, with the line Blitz says overlayed onto the mental breakdown scene (it is not being said in that exact scene) being 'I destroy everything, I make everyone's lives worse.' I believe the leviathan demon (I think it is one anyways) makes Blitz face his traumas by some means, he's already shown to have strong powers (possession, shapeshifting, the painting thing), being forced to face those traumas seen in picture 2 and 3, could possibly lead up to the mental breakdown we see Blitz have in picture 1, or the other way around.
The episode after that I have nothing to really substantiate it but I've always had this theory in the back of my mind that Vassago is going to be more of a mentor/support figure to Stolas, as what Stolas needs more than one night stands is actual friends, what helps better if it's a person that can actually understand Stolas, down to the family he was born into, being the Goetia. Let's be real, the rom-com speech Stolas gave while drunk in apology tour? That's real telling about just how isolated Stolas is from the real world, romance does not work like a rom-com and Stolas needs to learn that asap. Plus Stolitz cannot get back together without Stolas realising his own problems as well. Blitz's butler imps comment in full moon and 'You get off to getting plowed by people you look down on.' the line before the one in the picture. It proves that Stolas has not learned from the night before, and that Stolas is still being accidentally racist to imps, Stolas doesn't know he's doing it but Blitz clearly hears and feels it, which in conjunction with the mess that was the party for Blitz, I'd imagine the most reasonable thing for the both of them to do at this point is go no contact while they learn from their mistakes and problems that prevent Stolitz from truly happening.
Which puts us into the last episode, my guess for it is this, something happens to Stolas beforehand, because there's no way purely Andrealphus set this up on his own, he's a lower rank than Stolas, potential Paimon involvement? Healthy communication happens for a bit, they get interrupted by the attack on Stolas, they somehow fend off the attack, then they continue to talk healthy or just realise how they both messed up hard and be good friends again at the very least. There is that Octavia scene in the trailer as well, maybe she's got something to do with the divorce proceedings and the sudden loss of Stolas' powers, most likely played like a puppet by Stella and Andrealphus, because her one line in the trailer is how her father never loved mother or Octavia (because Stolas cheated on Stella with Blitz), Octavia does not know about much of the abuse Stella gave Stolas, making Stolas seem like the bad guy to Octavia.
So yea that's my theory on where the rest of the season is going to go, starting off at 1 from here out and eventually progressing into 2 around the end. Again thanks for the ask, I enjoyed writing this :)

hot take or w/e: 99% of the main events of apology tour, tbh, would be better if the positions were switched.
because when you say "stoliz breakup arc where person A calls the other out for always making the relationship about sex and has an entire breakdown about how they feel the other person has never fully appreciated them in the relationship and never felt respected while the other person gets a reality check over their actions and has to realize how badly theyve been treating them" then its blitz on stage and stolas in the crowd. its the only way the plot makes sense
regardless of the whole "guys they were secretly childhood friends and um blitz was the one who actually made the first move to sex even if stolas literally leads with 'so you wanna fuck me????' so its all blitz's fault their relationship is just sex" Thing in s2 ep1.... it was stolas' idea to make their transaction of the book sexual.
he was literally the one going "hey btw i need my book back but you can keep borrowing it...... IF you fuck me into the bed until i cant see straight you sexy little fucking imp" so atp whoever first started the sexual aspect of their relationship is moot. stolas is the one who escalated it into a toxic benefits deal.
stolas is the one who consistently goes "my widdle sexy imp" and "blitzy witzy come fucky wucky with me" to ""playfully"" demean blitz without realizing how the imp doesnt actually like it. he has the power in the situation who just assumes blitz is cool with their relationship and the way he treats him.
stolas is the one who doesnt think about the societal implications of their relationship, because he puts himself in romantic daydreams and uses blitz as a coping mechanism to distract himself from how much he hates his life. he wont even consider blitz's complicated feelings on their dynamics from his perspective as an imp without stolas shutting it down like "hm, you sound TOO much like striker, so byeeee!" hes the one who needs a wake up call!
and while blitz is obviously not innocent in this relationship (avoiding intimacy, taking any chance he can get to escape dealing with his problems, blowing up and projecting his insecurity onto others instead of discussing his problems, keeping secrets, twisting it where it hurts to 'gain' one in an argument even if he doesnt mean it, etc)....
hes SOOOOO getting fucked over in this relationship. and currently, being in such a sex centered relationship with a power imbalance only serves to justify his own self-mantra that he has to be useful in order to be loved! he deserves to have a moment where he actually shakes off all of his insecurities and screams out I DESERVE BETTER! for once in his life. and not just turning to drinking or drugs or sex or living vicariously through millie and moxxie; really just screaming in front of a whole crowd like FUCK YOU FOR MAKING ME FEEL SO SHITTY!!! FUCK YOUUUUU
tldr; tops deserve rights actually and sometimes you gotta put a bottom in their place

would you please elaborate on your comment "renowned hack frank miller" ? i haven't read much from him yet but i like to listen to informed people tell me why [thing] sucks because it's funnier than dc wiki
when someone tells me their favourite comic writer is frank miller my response is the same as when someone tells me their favourite films are american psycho and fight club — i immediately prepare for an irish exit from the convo.
both (some of) miller’s work and those films are influential pieces of art with explicit political ideology, but while american psycho and fight club are (frequently) misinterpreted satire, miller is genuine to the point of hilarity.
if u consume batman as a character in any capacity u cannot escape miller’s influence — batman: year one is the pretty definitive starting point for most fans (and filmmakers, like matt reeves with the batman 2022), and miller’s visual style is a cornerstone for modern comics. the dark knight returns effectively changed how comics were viewed by readers, and is credited with kickstarting the modern age of comic books. i cannot emphasise that even if u haven’t read a miller book u have certainly encountered someone else inspired by his work.
with that said — miller writes like how a racist libertarian who believes his own hype would write about superheroes. greta, u must be wondering, that seems like an awfully specific descriptor to assign to someone. and normally u would be right!
the because im batman schtick that every sixteen year old nolan stan with a twitter account ran into the ground circa 2014 started because of miller, and his success in the 80s led to a number of ill advised projects fueled by his own hype. all star batman and robin was an uncritical interpretation of bruce that embodies all the worst misinterpretations of dc characters, including the justice league, that miller then tried to espouse was satire. unfortunately, he is not smart enough to punch up instead of down — the absurd hypersexualisation of women doesn’t become satire just because you’re laughing at readers in the script, frank.
this, in turn, led to one of the most virulently racist comics ever published — 2011’s islamophic nightmare fuel holy terror. he should not be taken seriously as a creative force, and he should not be the foundation of what comics should be. at least alan moore is marginally less obnoxious and fully admits that the killing joke was a bad idea.

just thinking about how they practically established in canon that mac is the only person who could fulfill dennis emotionally and give him exactly what he needs and that's why i unironically think they could be in an actual relationship. "there's this giant gaping hole inside me" vs "there's never anything inside" and there is. with mac there is love and care and concern and a bond that dennis couldn't achieve with anyone. it's not about mac giving him a gift it's about how the whole episode lead to mac being the only one who truly knows dennis. he sleeps with all these women and doesn't find anything deep there while mac is the only person who gives him stability and takes care of him without asking for anything in return, it's literally canon that mac wants to make dennis happy. not just a little crush or sexual attraction it's LOVE. the only thing missing is dennis allowing himself to have this. he wants to get dicked down so bad but he also wants to be deeply loved
