— some of my dr ideasㅤ! ㅤ

posting this just incase it gives anyone any inspiration for their own realities <3 the first part of the title is the dr, the second is my s/os, with the same id distinction as in my masterlist post!! 'unk' for unknown, if i am unsure of which gender id for that dr!
— elementary school teacher . unk ෆ
okay i just think it would be so cute. i think about like getting to maybe teach art class? it'd be soooo cute. and something something i'm an art teacher, one of my s/os is another teacher, and we meet our other s/o as their a parent of one of our students . something something....
— ceo's assistants . k&l ෆ
something something the former ceo of the company retires, leaving the ceo role to her daughter. she grew up really rich and cruel but can we melt her heart as her new assistants ?? [hallmark movie music] (yes i shift mainly for love SUE ME!! /silly)
— familial ancestors . unk ෆ
i just think it'd be really cool to shift to a hundredish years ago and meet my ancestors. my gggg-grandma (iirc) came here to america in 1910 and there's a street near my house named after our family because that's where she lived, and i'd love to get to meet her and learn about our family and our traditions (since my family lost pretty much all our traditions. all we do in my house is babka during new years eve and i am desperate to learn more)
— time travelers . k&l ෆ
i had the idea some time ago, about like.. meeting my partners during their travel through time (them both also meeting that way, and the 3 of us being from 3 complete different time periods) and getting to learn things in the moments they happened (like.. the creation of pizza or something idk just an example) while having fun with my loves
— soulmate 'au' . r&n ෆ
red string of fate. is there anything else i need to say because i for one am obsessed with the idea.

#theres tons more but i just feel bad for not posting a lot of the circus stuff so hereeee :3#crunchyapple33#shiftblr#reality shifting community#reality shift#shifting#reality shifting#loablr#anti shifters dni#shifting motivation#shifting ideas#shiftingrealities#shifting to desired reality#shifting script#shifting realities#shifting journey#shifting diary#shifting consciousness#shifting community#shifting blog#shifting antis dni#shiftinconsciousness

Hi Teacup! Sorry for the long post in advance. This idea has been plaguing me for ages, so now everyone else gets to suffer too.
I would like to add to the Desmond menagerie with the biggest badass of the avails to ever live: The Hasst Eagle. The Hasst Eagle was around 15kgs with a 3m wingspan and hunted prey 13 times its own size. No one in any time period could think Desmond is an ordinary eagle.
Ratonhnhaké:ton's village would take one look at Desmond the toddler sized bird and go definitely a spirit.
I also have the wonderful image of Desmond saving Petruccio by just picking him up and flying off in my head (I might be overestimating Desmonds strength and underestimating Petruccio's size, but I found funny imagining the guards faces). And then I remembered the story of Zeus and Ganymede; which made me imagine Ezio chasing down Desmond and threatening to pluck him if he even thinks about taking Petruccio's purity.
It’s really huge, that’s for sure.

Giovanni knew of the Desmond.
The large eagle of legends, the guardian of the Brotherhood.
He had grown up listening to his father tell stories of Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad and his great eagle. How the large bird’s shadow brought fear to the Templars who see it. How fast it was even when it was bigger than any other birds.
How intelligent it was, using gestures to communicate with his chosen one.
How it had served as the guardian and godfather of Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad’s children.
It had seemed like a tall tale but Giovanni never doubted it.
How could he?
When the great eagle was painted over the ceiling of the Sanctuary below Monteriggioni.
He had no reasons to doubt its existence.
But he never talked about the eagle of legends to his children. The Templars would know about the Desmond.
It was too much of a risk, telling the stories to children who could just as easily talk about it to others.
Unintentionally catch the ears of the wrong people.
But now he deeply regretted it.
“Ezio, stop!” Giovanni shouted, unable to keep the panic out of his voice.
How could he?
His second son, a cheerful boy of the age of six, was trying to beat the eagle of legend with a stick, shouting at the eagle loudly, “Go away! Shoo! Shoo!”
“Ezio!” Giovanni shouted, grabbing Ezio’s wrist before he could smack the eagle once more.
Not that he was able to.
Any time the stick was even close to hitting the bird, the Desmond simply flicked one of its wing, parrying the strike and causing Ezio to stagger backwards.
Ezio was a stubborn child though and he would continue to try and hit the bird even as it simply parried all his strikes.
Once it was clear that Ezio couldn’t whack the bird, he turned to his father as he shouted, “Petruccio!”
Giovanni was about to ask what he meant by that but the Desmond lifted its wings, showing his youngest son softly giggling as he tried to crawl away from the bird. One of the bird’s talons was gripping Petruccio’s clothes, keeping the boy still.
Giovanni’s eyes widened as he realized that they were in the second floor balcony that Petruccio’s room had. It was always meant to be locked considering Petruccio was a curious child.
And the railings had enough distance between each pillar that Petruccio could slip through.
The Desmond stared at Giovanni expectantly as it slowly lifted its talon and Giovanni used his other hand to scoop his youngest son into his arms while the baby tried to crawl to the railings.
“Thank you.” Giovanni said as he bowed deeply at the bird, earning a confused frown from Ezio.
The bird simply shook its body, reminding Giovanni of a man stretchering before the bird turned to stare at Ezio. It lifted one of its wings and Giovanni’s blood ran cold, worried about how much Ezio had offended the bird.
The bird did not try to hurt Ezio though. Instead, it used its wing to pat Ezio’s head three times before hopping away. It flapped its wings and flew out of the balcony.
And Giovanni finally let out a relieved sigh.

And one amang, an Iyrysch man,
Uppone his hoby swyftly ran…

WAIT HANG ON - slamming the brakes on drawing this stupid picture - do you nerds even KNOW the etymology of the word “hobby”? The thing you do for pleasure? The thing you have too many of? The thing you spend too much money on and share with your friends? The thing tumblr probably is to you? Those hobbies?
It comes from a now-kind-of-extinct breed of Irish pony-horse. It was called the Irish Hobby. Supposedly the hobby got its name from the Gaelic word obann, or swift. They definitely were. They’d obann your pants clean off.
Fast tough little bastards, built for rough terrain and renowned for their speed and stamina, hobby horses belonged to the Celts, and their highly annoying style of mounted warfare. but their conquerors liked hobby horses a lot, kept them, used them for themselves, and found them useful enough, despite the fact that they also had famously useful things like mounted knights or horse archers. A lightweight Irish warrior, mounted on a hobby horse, was called a hobelar.
Reportedly and in depictions, hobelars rode without stirrups. Or saddles. Or bridles. Or - well - this is all sounding very improbable, because the hobelars COULDNT have just been charging around basically bare-assed on naked ponies, screaming, and somehow in the process undoing the composure of actual mounted armoured knights. Knights who, I remind you, had stirrups. Stirrups are useful! It’s quite likely the hobelars had some gear. And clothes. and weapons. And the ponies probably had some tack - I am picturing a bellyband that you could at least hang a saddlebag on, and a neck rope for catching the bloody thing, even if not a saddle. But the overall impression, somehow created by people on darling little ponies, was apparently quite striking and fearful.
I mean. God Forbid People Have Hobbies.
Anyway after a while, whatever people became the British had eventually conquered all of the rough terrain that hobbies were best at, and horse archers just got sexier, and mounted knights became aristos, and all the bog and forest people had been subdued, so it was time to sunset the hobelars. but WAIT! Hobby horses are still tremendously fun and appealing! They’re so fast! and you can ride them without a saddle! Sure, they’re not up to the weight of a mounted knight, or indeed a lot of guys… but surely we can still find a use for a hobby or two? In the back garden? Somewhere?
At which point an English king decided to keep hobby horses just for fun. No military application. No further development of the technology. Not for fun. Just as expensive, pleasurable, pets. Just for the joy of the thing.
And that is how hobby (activity done purely for pleasure) comes from hobby horse (small horse) possibly from obann (swift.) they’re very interesting and you should look all this up for yourself! because it sure sounds like Elodie doing a bit, doesn’t it?
Today, Irish Hobbies are functionally nonexistent. References for drawing include the Kerry Bog Pony, the Connemara, and (I personally think) Dartmoors and Exmoors. They’re said to have lent their speed to the Irish Hunter/Sport Horse and from there to the Thoroughbred, but every damn horse in the world claims relation to the Thoroughbred, and they can’t be THAT thoroughly bred.
At any rate - you can never have enough hobbies. Just be glad that yours aren’t expensive beasts with minds of their own, eating their heads off in the pasture! …Unless they are. In which case, you’re part of a proud tradition.
#Killie#this is Killie’s ancestor who occasionally turns up in hallucinations with various ghost horses#like all elements of magical realism in the killieverse he does absolutely NOTHING useful.#your ancestor is neither proud of you nor disappointed in you. he’s riding alongside explaining some thoughts he had at breakfast#performing weird fuckin feats of equitation outside the window while you’re trying to sit through school or waiting in the queue at Greggs#if you wake up in a hospital bed in a bleary moment before consciousness he’s perched next to you chattering complete fucking nonsense#about. like. the stupidest stuff. like he’s just free-associating his thoughts based on a pattern in the ceiling tiles. incredibly annoying#his dialect just close enough to Irish that you can pick out a few words here and there#enough to tell that it’s complete nonsense. but also he’ll just say things like BASED. (possibly he is also visiting miles?)#and occasionally he points out that he did everything you do in your job but barefoot. no stirrups. in the snow. uphill both ways.#which is quite hard to do in a bog since they’re notably quite distinctively flat usually so sometimes he’d have to find a hill and ride up#and down it a few times just to build character. no saddle no bridle no shoes and the Romans were there maybe - and when you object to that#thinking there seems to be a lot of collision of timelines and historical accuracy - he doesn’t speak Irish suddenly . and why would he.#anyway he doesn’t exist and never did. but he’s fun#occasionally turns up to ride alongside you in a race apparently just to prove he can keep up with modern breeds#usually he can surprisingly well but tbf his horse is a ghost. and when he can’t he says well. I’m not a professional like you.#this. is just my hobby. ahahahahahahahahahshahahahahasha#and with that I get back on my hobby horse and ride away

I want to clarify something right out of the gate:
When I said, “Here’s how it was broken down to us,” I referenced what I was taught. I’m not erasing African culpability or trying to push a one-sided narrative. If your experience or education taught you something different, that’s fine, but just as you speak from your experience, so do I.
True facts don’t become racist just because they’re inconvenient, or because you think the other person has a racist reason for bringing them up.
That’s a misread of my point. I never said the fact itself is racist, I said the timing and framing often reveal a motive. When a person suddenly becomes a historian the moment racial injustice is mentioned, only to deflect blame or shut down dialogue, that’s bad-faith distraction. That context matters.
Also, ‘trading with other people for stuff you want for an advantage’ doesn’t make them victims.
At no point did I call anyone a victim. I said some African leaders made decisions out of fear or the pressure of power struggles. That’s not victimhood; that’s political realism. Motivation doesn’t absolve guilt.
So they sold Africans the surplus guns that wouldn’t sell to Europeans. That doesn’t seem like a sinister plot, that seems like getting rid of old stock.
This is exactly what I meant when I said people rarely extend nuance to European participants. When Africans participate, we dig deep into motives, tactics, and economic reasoning. But when Europeans exploit with outdated weapons, faulty deals, and false promises, it suddenly becomes “just business.” Why does nuance disappear when it’s not convenient?
So why do you describe Africans as just ‘selling’ and say white people ‘stole’? There was a lot more ‘stealing’ going on by black people than white people, even by your own argument.
That’s not what I said. I acknowledged both theft and trade. The transatlantic slave trade included kidnapping and purchase. Some Africans were sold, and others were abducted, just like some European colonists bought enslaved people, and others ran illegal slaving expeditions. Both happened and can be true at once without canceling each other out.
I feel like you’re describing your own rationalizations here, but in a deflecting way.
I’m unsure why you feel that way, but that’s not what I’m doing. I explained what I was taught, added some context, and expressed that both sides played roles in a complex, brutal system. I was acknowledging, not deflecting.
Again, the statement usually implies white people alone enslaved black people, and leaves out who did the majority, assuming the speaker even knows most of it was black on black. And I don't think most people do. In most mainstream discourse, the role of black slavers is entirely ignored. If white people are held responsible for something actually done by black people, that's racist and should be corrected, just like the converse.
I hear what you’re saying, but we’re approaching this from two angles. The majority of the initial capturing and selling being “black on black” doesn’t erase or exclude the European role in building the system that brought Africans to the Americas, especially to places like the U.S.
African Americans’ historical focus often starts with what happened once our ancestors were on this side of the ocean. That’s the beginning of our lineage: chattel slavery, plantations, Jim Crow, redlining, mass incarceration.
We’re not ignoring certain parts of the story; we’re focusing on the parts that shaped our communities, our identities, and the generational trauma we’re still unpacking today.
We know Black people sold and captured each other; that part’s not hidden or ignored anymore. But that truth doesn’t cancel out how European powers created, scaled, and profited from a system that turned human lives into generational property. That’s what our education and conversations tend to center out of relevance to our lived reality.
Which brings me to a question I‘m curious about. As a Black non-American, do you believe that how the transatlantic slave trade was taught to you, compared to how we learn about it here in the U.S., is more accurate or complete? And if so, why do you think it's being taught so wrongly and different?
So a black woman was released from jail five months after she was arrested for "abusing a corpse" because she had a miscarriage in a restaurant bathroom.
Her name is Mallori Patrice Strait, and she is 33 years old. This is her.

I distinctly recall raising concern that this would happen to women in anti-abortion states when this happened to Brittany Watts in Ohio and I distinctly recall pro-lifers saying this wouldn't not lead to women getting arrested for miscarriages.
It's also not lost on me that these two women are black, and pro-lifers spent years arguing that their policies were meant to "protect the black population."
While you all justify Adriana Smith's case in Georgia, I wanna hear the 'pro-life' explanation for this.
I want all the "protect black babies" people and the "abortion is black genocide" people to step forward.
I just want to talk.

genuinely curious how the writers and larger dragon age audience would treat thom rainier if instead of being appropriately* repentant and putting himself in prison he blew up a major orlesian government building to instigate a chevalier rebellion or tried to have someone do some necromantic blood magic ritual involving uncertain danger and possible sacrifices to bring the innocent children he ordered killed back to life
#*appropriately as in showing the expected amount of remorse in the appropriate way in a society founded on guilt and shame#i think blackwall actually tells us a lot about how dragon age's writers conceptualize justice and deservedness of punishment#im glad we get the option to forgive him but why do we get the option when anders is exiled at best?#and later characterized as a villain by dai#when solas is willfully imprisoned at best and trapped in a horrifying psychological torture chamber at worst?#blackwall gets a full redemption happy ending if inky so chooses#and im not saying he shouldnt#i forgive him every time#but its so interesting to me that narratively speaking#he seems to earn his happy ending through submission to punishment via imprisonment#as does solas but blackwall is portrayed far more sympathetically overall#there isnt the same meta-level narrative slander and clear agenda on behalf of the writing to make you feel a certain way about his crimes#as there is with anders and solas#why? whats the difference? what did he do to buy himself that narrative goodwill?#put himself in prison? why do the writers love carceral punishment so much lmfaooo#mine#if you wanna screenshot these tags and add them to the reblog feel free#im realizing i prob just shouldve put all of this in the post but its too late now#i think theres actually a strong argument that thom does not do nearly ENOUGH to right his wrongs#where is his effort to reform the orlesian military? where is his criticism of orlesian imperialism?#how does serving in the inquisition have a direct impact on the people he harmed? it doesnt#when you compare him to someone like roy mustang#yes im comparing him to roy mustang this is my blog and you are never going to escape roy mustang comparisons here#roy's political ambitions following his war crimes are directly related to those war crimes#and his goals directly benefit the same group of people he harmed#their ancestors and family members literally#meanwhile blackwall just kind of does vague “good” deeds and gets a full redemption#he really does not make much effort to repatriate the harm he did as a soldier#he just moves on#which again.... no shade to blackwall. my inky forgives him

oooh wait so the plot hole of “why doesnt a spirit medium just channel the victims spirit” is literally bc the DL-6 spirit channeling cant be repeated huh
#im so fucking slow I was brushing my teeth thinking abt Gregory edgeworth in mayas clothes#and I haven’t played aa1 so I don’t actually know the details of it in case I get to play it for myself#but they brought up the spirit channeling mistake with misty and how it basically shot down the kurain techniques credibility right#and like. I guess trying to do that again would be a repeat of that incident which ended up with an innocent person being convicted#so Phoenix not only has to channel Mia because she’s the smarter better lawyer but also because summoning the victim#isnt exactly the first time it’s happened and gotten someone the guilty verdict. huh#replaying justice for all 2-4 so the case with Maya spirit channeling#and after playing aa3 I can really appreciate how much thought they put into the fey family and how a lot of the games events#revolve around it.#Mayas powers arent a ‘long lost ancestor’ as an excuse for her having powers. it is clearly and heavily expanded on#and the infighting makes so much sense when you consider the power differences between branch and main families.. and Mia becoming a lawyer#to find out what happened to her mother AND after being aware of that bloodshed and what it means for Maya#the way she chose Maya and didn’t want that for them. the way she put distance between them on purpose so they wouldn’t become like that#and Pearl is acknowledged as having more power than Maya but she’s fucking eight and loves Maya that she doesn’t see that as any#kind of power imbalance. heck when Morgan uses her for her plan in bridge to the turnabout Pearl was happy to do it#because Morgan said it was for pearls good and Pearl assumed that meant it would be good for Maya too and I 😭😭#the branch system was originally made so that even if you weren’t chosen as the master you could still support the family by protecting the#main branch. and the irony of that being the reason why main family members are targeted to be usurped#iris outright rejecting the notion of communicating to the dead and everything the fey clan stands for#there’s so much fucking lore to this and I don’t see it talked abt enough?????????!?????#yapping#ace attorney#as

In the Sandman, since Dream 'came into existence once lifeforms capable of dreaming appeared in the universe', I wonder what that lifeform is and what did it dream of. Like what is the first dream in the universe about.
#idk of the comics have anything about that though. I'm only on book 4#some post on twitter about how octopuses (which is like super different from human in evolution) can dream got me thinking#about dreams in animal and generally other lifeforms#from what we know there are few studies on dreams in animals#we can only study their behavior while they sleep or compare brain waves with human REM sleep or something of a sort#we don't exactly know if animals can dream the way we dream#dreams in animals are interesting to me because#it makes me wonder what these bizarre visual and auditory hallucinations the brain cooks up each night are and what are they for#we can only theorize that it organizes the brain and help with memory and learning and simulating events etc.#if many animals dream despite having very different ancestors then it's definitely something useful#I don't know how to explain but it's simply wild to think about. I don't know how it doesn't blow my stupid little brain#studying dream in animals might give us more insight to dreams in human I think#delete later

Im not going to keep this up but if you think that
1. English people are incapable of having and upholding racist ideas about Native Americans when it was in fact europeans who colonized them to begin with.
2. The uk government did not have a response to the (global) uptick in facist policy and idealogy in the wake of 9/11 and all that it entailed in regards to (global) hegemony and therefore no english person would have any anxiety about the conflicts their soldiers were being sent into bc of said (global) hegemony.
3. That Warrior Cats does not exist in relation to its contemporaries within its genre in which that is a common trope referencing a very specific piece of classical literature that was racist by its very premise.
4. Things can have many different cultural influences based on where and who is writing it at what time and that some of these things will have things in common with other things that make unintentional unfortunate implications.
Then I don't know what to say to you. It turns out that a lot of these ideas do permeate into English culture because they came from english culture to begin with. Native Americans are the easiest thing for me to reference but they also aren't the only indigenous culture that exists either. The generic tropes are racist bc they're all sitting on the generic assumptions that colonists, many who were from the UK, had about the people they were colonizing. Just bc it isn't referencing something specific doesn't make it less ignorant. YOU are cherry picking. Kitty pets aren't white people and warrior cats aren't native Americans but the entire concept of "someone from civilization goes and joins their more wild ancestors/neighbors/a group of people that is other from them and has to prove themselves to become a member of the clan/tribe/group (and then often is so good at being the thing that they become the best and the leader.)" is literally Dances With Wolves by formula and that formula is racist. It's a structure used over and over bc it's considered a classic. The last Samurai is also a dances with wolves expy. Just bc the target of the racism in this is Japanese doesn't change what the trope is. The blue avatar movie is the same thing. There's a billion other ones. It's an archetype. And unfortunately when you're trying to use that archetype to tell a story about not discriminating it can fall flat and it is, indeed, worthy of pointing out.
Oversimplification of the source material is the strongest weapon people can use to diminish legitimate arguments against a story that aim to actually criticize genuine problems with the writing
#last bit of my energy I'll spend on warrior cats lmao#i liked it as a kid#I do not have strong enough feelings about the dances with cats books#to make a fourth post#im pretty sure the trope itself predates the 1988 novel#bc everything is in conversation with everything from before it forever#but I feel like its the thing that established the formula in contemprary work

So considering what we know about Chima and the Wyldness and all that blah blah blah, I wonder if after the Merge, a group of Serpentine, maybe a few hundred, would've ventured to the Wyldness to try reconnect with their ancient roots (given the hypothesized idea of the FSM bringing the Serpentine from Chima/the Wyldness.)
I can imagine maybe they find the ancient remains of Serpentine lands, maybe there exists modern day Serpentine in the Wyldness who evolved differently from the ones we know due to conditions, and thus work in different ways from OUR Serpentine.
Maybe the reason Ninjago Serpentine are divided as Tribes has something to do with the Ancient Ways once spoken of centuries ago by their ancient ancestors, back when the Tribes were different animal species, not Serpentine species.
#I have many ideas on this idea now#which can lead to a TON of new Serpent guys#i also think u could do a rlly neat allegory#smth smth being taken from your land centuries ago and getting to reunite with it and live a life your ancient ancestors once did.#idkkkk i think theres some meaningful stories to be told here#maybe modern ninjago serpentine have a hard time with chi because they developed their own powers based on the magic essence of ninjago#and thus chi which is moreso the accidental essence of the wyldness#works weirdly for them#whether its weaker#or just doesnt work#idk#i feel like chi would likely only work on those exposed to its essence for a long enough time#like a species evolved to withstand it#so like the ninja? they cant use chi bc ninjago doesnt carry the essence of chi#i have great ideas btw#ninjago#ninjago dragons rising#raine's rambles#legends of chima#lego legends of chima

It sucks when you learn something new which might be the answer to a question you've had for a while but you don't even know where to start to see if it really is the answer.
#liv won't shut up#the context: i am a white & from the us. but i have dark hair eyes & skin. dark enough skin that i get asked a lot if i'm latina. usually#latina (which i think matches my appearance the most) but i've gotten native american pakistani (okay that one makes no sense but whatever)#& a few others. thing is i know a lot of my family history. my family has been in the us for quite a few generations but before that my#ancestors were from england & scandinavia mainly though due to history i can assume i have french & german ancestry as well. & um these#countries arent known for dark complexions. so then ppl are always surprised. convo usually goes like this#person: where are you from?#me: the us#person: & your parents? what is your ancestry?#me: my family has been here for generations but before that they were from england & scandinavia mainly.#person: really? because you don't look like it. you look latina. where did your complexion come from?#me: idk how would i know?#well i recently learned about a group in scandinavia called the sami. they're originally from siberia but many moved to scandinavia#centuries ago. & they have darker complexions. so now i'm wondering if at some point i had ancestors that were sami from scandinavia#& if there genes just kept getting passed down until me#but man i do not have the time to figure that out#like i dont *need* to know i'll be fine. but i've always been curious & it would give me an answer to tell ppl that ask#also btw it isnt just white americans asking if i'm poc. lots of poc ask too. i'm working at a mexican restaurant & i get asked all the tim#there if i'm latina bc “i look like everyone else there”#but it would be nice to have an answer besides “idk” when someone asks why i have my complexion#at least i know what line it comes from. my dad & grandpa look like me too#& also got asked a lot if they were latino. even more than me. my grandpa is from southern arizona. we have a white american as heck last#name so everyone thought his dad was american & his mom mexican (nope). then he moved when he married my grandma to my grandmas#home town so then all of them saw this guy from arizona moving in with darker skin & also assumed he was at the least biracial.#then ppl thought my dad was biracial too bc he's the son of the random arizonan with darker skin#so i know wherever i got this gene comes from came via my grandpa

I'm so excited and so nervous for this job. Mostly excited though
And I'll be getting blocks of days off and get to just hang out and spend time around the area of the southern appalachians. There's so much I wanna do around there and I'm excited to get to do it
And I'll probably be doing a lot of it alone which I'm fine with. I'll get to get more used to just going and doing things by myself and taking my time.
#gotta look for museums around the area#i have a week long training in the field and then 3 days off that i think ill use to just chill around town#itll be kinda tough cuz ill be really tight on money until i get my first paycheck which wont be for two weeks. but itll be fine#theres an aquarium in town. maybe ill check that out.#and i wanna spend at least one of my times off just going around that area cuz thats where my ancestors are from#visit the site of their town. blythes ferry. gravesites and house sites and pre contact archaeological sites.#also for friends and such ill likely have no service so if i disappear thats why#ill turn my queue up before i go in the field if i remember. whatever haha

i have a theory that i just tend to jokingly call the "sexy lamp of lazy monsterfucking" — which is, that you can broadly tell if any piece of monsterfucking or xenofiction is good by asking the question, would it be basically the same if you swapped their species with that of a sexy lamp? a sufficiently hot human could also work in place of the sexy lamp (although the sexy lamp is funnier), but the principle remains the same. that, if you're trying to write something from a nonhuman perspective, that should almost certainly massively impact how they see and interact with the world, and if you can go massive swathes of the story forgetting what they are, replacing it with something else, or just outright ignoring it, then, well, it's just not very good and kind of fails at the central premise!
#all the care guide says is 'biomass'#i think a lot about. just how massive the difference in Everything would be between a human and. literally even our closest ancestors.#how truly little we can assume about any nonhuman intelligence or what it would actually feel like or its interiority#and how i just. cannot tolerate fiction that doesn't deal with this.#that doesn't make the full use of having a nonhuman intelligence which can clearly communicate with us and speak as a sapient persons#to address literally any part of this difference#and it's quite a bit frustrating to me!

Yes yes yes a thousand times over.
Here you can find a guide to the mandalorian color meanings I used.
Okay so the og Robin suit was Red for honoring a parent, as in Dick honoring his own parents, but later on it was to honor Bruce. Green is for Duty to the Clan of the [insert batlike creature I still need to decide which one], and yellow is for rememberance of their past life. The black jumpsuit is for justice.
Dick later switched to blue, bc he's a reliable ally and person.
Jason wears orange bc he's a droid, no matter how humanoid, and he did technically die. He lusts and years for life and seeks sensations that remind him he is alive.
Cass was raised to be a weapon by her father who was part of the death watch once. She escaped and met the Batfam. Her armor is white to s,mbolise a new life she was offered, one with meaning other than to kill. Orangein her clothing also symbolizes her lust for life, and the purple is to connect with steph, but also for luck. Purple means luck.
Steph chose purple because she feels like she needed a lot of luck to sabotage her father and the empire. The blue in her outfit shows that she's a reliable ally.
Tim was raised in the empire, and the way of the mandalor offered him a new life, a new way of thinking, white, and the green undertones are bc he feels a sense of duty to the family that helped him change and be better.
Duke's armour is rememberance, his ancestors and his parents walk with him when he wears that armor.
Damian doesn't have his own beskar yet, but I believe it would be mainly black, with white and green accents.
These are my designs for my mandalorian batfam AU.
The similarities in the armor designs are intentional, as they were all made by leslie except for Duke's.
The colours are important.
From left to right: Dick Grayson, Jason Wayne, Cassandra Wayne, Stephanie, Tim, Duke Thomas and Damian Al-ghul Wayne.
I tried making Cass and Tim look similar in facial structure, but I think I failed. This style doesn't allow for much variation, but gotta practice my animation style somehow.
