it took me finally watching classic who to get properly exited about the scene at the end of death in heaven where the Brigadier as a cyberman saves Kate from falling out the plane.
when I first watched it I didn't really know who the brigadier was so I didn't really care and now I actually jumped out of my seat and screamed I was so happy

I know this is like so random but do you have any geto, gojo, nanami, or megumi ao3 recs because the only good fics I’ve read of jjk are ones you’ve written 😭
you have come to the right place :,) i post more recs than fics at this point haha most of these are copy pasted off previous rec lists but have been added onto! the ones with green + marks are NEW RECS
here's a post on how to use ao3 to find fics by yourself for those who dont know <3
Tumblr media
gojo + ao3:
+ intrinsic warmth: my favourite fic of all time. like genuinely. insane writing, fucking amazing in every sense of the term. 2nd time recommending this! reader's character is so sick BUT updates real slow (which isnt a bad thing!! good things take time!!) so i wouldn't read if you aren't patient // 122k words, 15 chapters, incomplete
+ ripverse: not really a series, more like a compilation of fics! it's got a lot of angst and the one titled 'interlude' contains smut i think so beware, and it's also a lovetriangle/poly-but-geto-goes-crazy-so-not-poly moment // 55k words, 8 pieces
+ the witches' brew: super cute fluff! reader owns a cafe, gojo is a regular, it's all around adorable // 2 chapters, 11k words, completed
+ all that is solid melts into air: arranged marriage trope! i haven't read but @/aanobrain loves this one // 7k words, 1 chapter, complete
+ cake batter: established relationship w/ dad!gojo & megumi <33 not much to say, just short n sweet, i am such a sucker for dad gojo so its no surprise there's one of these on the list.. // 2k words, 1 chapter, complete
+ best of luck: initial concept is really unique!! confessions, slight angst, takes place at the beginning/middle-ish of s1 i think? so cute loved this <;3 // 5k words, 1 chapter, complete
+ afternoon tea(se): gojo torturing megumi. classic !! so so cute love the banter // 1.7k words, 1 chapter, complete
+ my apologies, gordon ramsay: god i hate this man. jk. reader is a teacher and a functional human being; gojo is not. loved! // 8k words, 1 chapter, complete
+ a name known only to paper: platonic, angst- beautifully written, such a unique idea. reader is gojo's older sibling. // 3k words, 1 chapter, complete
+ heart beats: another collection! i looove gojo in this so so cute i also adore bff nanami in the last one haha // 11k words, 3 pieces
+ exposure therapy: this is 1/2 of a 2 piece collection. when i read this for the first time i was floored- i love the creative take, and the reader's character (it was a 'she's so me' moment). this author writes with such a subtle but unadulterated take on love and i adore it // 5k words
+ how to be a human being: 2/2 of the previous rec and the perfect continuation in every sense of the term. oh my gosh, is this masterful- from the relationships & writing of megumi and tsumiki to gojo (i almost forgot this was a rec for him) it's all around amazing // 20k words
+ the sanctity of a name: SO SENTIMENTAL !! what an adorable work that rly goes into the psychology and significance of his technique + upbringing. so real and raw and very him // 2k words, complete, 1 chapter
+ assumptions: omf jealous gojo...... he's so cute in this!! you guys are married and it's almost his birthday, but while you're planning his surprise party he suspects something else.. // 6k words, 1 chapter, complete
+ even with the lights off: RAHHHH another fic that has me floored and pushing the #saveijichi agenda at the same time // 8k words, 2 chapters, complete
nanami + ao3:
+ math help: dad!nanami w son!yuuji.... yeah that's all i really need to say i think! // 1 chapter, 2k words, complete
+ photo albums: nanami shares abt his childhood! // 1k wc, 1 chapter, complete
+ i don't really read for nanami but i would check out @aanobrain and maybe shoot them an ask bc she's a big fan :)
geto + ao3:
+ lessons in love: DAD!GETO.................. im such a sucker for a good family dynamic in fics and this is adorable !! no curse au if i remember right! // 4k words, 1 chapter, complete
+ forever is in your eyes: angsty but ends in fluff :,) touches on his mental state, riko's death, all that! so sweet, i adore how this author writes him <;3 // 2k words, 1 chapter, complete
+ ripverse: not really a series, more like a compilation of fics! it's got a lot of angst and the one titled 'interlude' contains smut i think so beware, and it's also a lovetriangle/poly w gojo-but-geto-goes-crazy-so-not-poly moment // 55k words, 8 pieces
+ dog days are over: a series!! by the same author who wrote ripverse which is how you know it's going to be brilliant !! marriage, parenthood, some nsfw moments // 30k words, 5 chapters, incomplete
+ curious cat: cat gojo and neighbor geto.. i love this one! it's so so cute and sweet, if you're looking for some light fluff this is definetely for you // 8k words, 5 chapters, complete
megumi + ao3:
+ complicit: college!au !! i remember reading this and loving it omg, the unique concept kept me hooked and interested, especially paired w the lovely writing! one of my fav series ive read. be warned, last chapter is nsfw // 18k words, 5 chapters, complete
+ a very special december 22nd: cute bday fic :,) forgive me for reccing all this author's megumi fics... theyre just too good !! i love the dynamics, all of it! // 5k words, 1 chapter, complete
+ kisses and cough syrup: THE BANTER!! THE FLUFF!!!!! i love this fic sm, so cute! // 1k words, 1 chapter, complete
+ nocturnal: establishING relationship fics are one of my fav genres and this hits the nail on the head.. he's so stupid silly in this and i know you'll love it like i do // 2k words, 1 chapter, complete
+ lover boy: 2nd year reader, annoying meddling gojo, placed at the beginning-ish where megumi gets beat tf up- what more could you ask for! // 2k words, 1 chapter, complete
+ difficult to not overthink: todo strikes again! you ponder megumi's type // 1k words, 1 chapter, complete
+ ten confessions: megumi: ten dif confessions in dif tropes each time, so they can all be read as stand-alone pieces! so so cute and beautifully written.. we all know i love a good confession // 19k words, 7 chapters, incomplete
+ therefore, i am: reader gets mixed up in the world of sorcery.. megumi's there, too! // 3k words, 1 chapter, complete
+ takes one to know one: flowershop au..... convulsing on the ground. my fav trope, ever, and so so cute oh my GOSH // 2k words, 1 chapter, complete
+ i really (x6) like you: fluff!! this is the one i linked in my og ask but it deserves a place here too <3 // 4k words, 1 chapter, complete

here are some tma food hcs bc AAAA
i think that jon gets hungry for real food, too. but its more of a deep hunger? he actually needs food less and less and eventually just doesn't need to eat, but he still can and he still gets hungry, when he lets himself be relaxed enough to realize what his body needs
hes a great cook and at the safe house, cooks amazing meals and bakes warm loafs and all of martins favorite meals
jon sometimes gets hungry and doesnt let himself eat bc he doesnt feel human enough and feels like he doesnt deserve it
martin notices that last one and tries his best to make something jon likes
i think that martin is the best at making tea, really excellent at making classic chocolate chip cookies, and just awful at anything else in the kitchen. he still tries his best, and jon eats everything he makes
lonely!martin loses a lot of weight bc he leaves the office less and less and doesnt care for himself as much
jon is the only one who notices this and starts putting out a little tray of homemade biscuits near the tea in hopes that martin grabs some
when theyre in the safe house, jons #1 priority is to figure out martins favorite meals as subtly as he can to get martin to stop starving himself accidentally out of habit (he actually wasnt subtle at all, but martin found it endearing so he played along)
Melanie wanted to be a baker when she was younger and got really good at making treats. Her first youtube channel was for baking
Georgie cooks and Melanie bakes and they always call eachother the better chef
georgie is pretty good at cooking but she isnt exceptional by any means. melanie is excellent at baking, but she considers it pretty useless because "you cant live off fancy cakes and meringues"
daisy says that she knows how to cook and for a pretty long time basira believes her bc you cant be that buff if you dont eat
one night she comes over and finds that all that daisy has been eating is frozen meals
basira is fine at cooking (enough to live off of), but she cooked the best meal she could in hopes to inpress daisy
daisy had so little actual ingredients that basira rly struggled but it was amazing. daisy didnt notice bc she was too tired. she crashed on the couch and basira left after tucking her in. daisy was pissed at herself for not appreciating basira
after that, she stops eating frozen meals and tries learning to cook. shes really bad at it at first and almost gives up multiple times, but wants to be able to cook for herself (its really for basira but she wont admit it)
tim is the cook and sasha cleans up after
he feels bad making her clean but she insists bc "cooking is so much more useful and time consuming" and that he should "let her be useful"
tim always helps out in the end and they often end up dancing together in the kitchen
tim gets this weird feeling of loneliness when certain songs come up when hes cleaning the kitchen alone after not!sasha
peter leaves homecooked meals at elias' desk when he has his back turned (he starts with warm foods, but realized that they always turn cold and that isnt very pleasent, so he starts bringing salads and poke bowls)
if i missed anyone, lmk! i could continue w these for a while but im blanking on other characters and i dont want to go on too long in 1 post so see ya later!

my favorite moments from episode 11 of fantasy high junior year!!:
“is that’s a problem”
“riz? do you need to go to the eye doctor????”
finally addressing all the angry npcs
“even you fabian”
the identity spell giving SQ meeting gnosis
“should we go start minor disturbances around school and see if we get beat up?”
adaine’s classic scooter
aelwyn and adaine being sisters!!!!!
“tell kristen not to come back, the children were very rowdy after she left”
fig invading ruben’s dreams as kelpflower corncob (rad as hell)
gertie x kristen!!!! (honeybees?? maybe)
devil’s honey is so fucking rad
“my friends no longer want to see me naked” “i do”
all the parents!!!!
telemaine’s elf racism was silly but also made me a lil upset (“was that supposed to be my name?” “no i was doing a different word”)
GILEAR!!!! MY CHOSEN ONE HAS RETURNED!!!!(“this may tickle you to watch my life become suddenly amazing against my will”)
fig and hallariel continue to bring me joy (“hey! it’s me! from the phone!”)
“how did she bring winter??” “how did she bring winter???” “how did she bring winter??”
“we really gotta talk up bee girl”
fig and sandra lynn’s conversation got to me truly (i need sklonda and sandra lynn to start a support group for mothers parenting children working for the applebees student presidential campaign mpcwaspc for short)
fabian and gorgug arguing over who’s carrying the gravestone and “the ball do you wanna-“ “too small”
princess nara (i love her im sorry she’s too real)
in fact all the kristen/nara/tracker energy was absolutely perfect for lesbian exes (“WORLDSTAR”)
ALL OF SECRET SYLVAN (i genuinely shed tears cried bc they all love each other so much)
things about adine: 1. blonde 2. wizard 3. elven oracle
riz/murph immediately taking charge and running secret sylvan is so deeply in character
(attempted tearing noises)
“stop showing hole and make ‘em!”
and as we all know the last 20 minutes were the most insane thing that’s ever happened to me but god fig watching the illusion of herself she conjured morph into her dad and get fucking impaled by the armor that he wore to save her from her own illusion not even a year ago is devastating.

i'm not sure if u meant it as a figure of speech but i'd love to hear about ur experience of sharing the artbook with jack too! only if you feel like it of course :)
I think the most notable about the artbook interaction with Jack is, that it is still wild to me that he is now the one who has the one other only version that exists of it at the moment.
So Jack was the who I went to to get my autograph from (just how queues ended up being called) When he saw me he immediately recognized me from the Wesper shooting we had in the morning and he was so excited about my cosplay actually. We talked about it a bit, he even reached over to feel bits of thecoat I have. Saying "that is just actually what it looks like" A bit more banter and he gave me the classic "I am obsessed 💅💅💅." . (He is so gosh dang sweet and kind and genuine, just as everyone always says.) Anyways I'll skip over a bit here but I then showed him the artbook and he was AMAZED! Just like with Kit the next day it took me a bit of clarifying that that was in fact I who made this and didn't get this from somewhere else. ^^''
I pointed out the 0.2. S2 Trailer Wesper moment to him and he mostly sat there kinda not knowing whether to look at me or the artbook. He seemed so actually interested in looking and I just said a million times Thank you bc he kept praising it q-q. So I pointed him to where to sign and he did.
Tumblr media
Then obviously I didn't want to take much more time anymore and "wanted" to leave, but he still kind of had his hands on the booklet, looked at it and then at me and to me it seemed as if he would have loved to continue talking and ofc I wanted to but yea I didn't want to hold up the queue much longer. I also knew I would see him again on Sunday for the selfie.
So then what I then had to do was to kind of slooooowly slide away the booklet from him which in that moment It felt like I was taking candy from a child Q-Q
I told him I'll be back tomorrow for the selfie and he was kind of leaning over the table to say bye, telling me he's happy to see me again tomorrow.
I don't know if I made up my mind right then and there but it didn't take me long to remember I had the second version of the artbook with me and that I'd give it to him the next day.
Then SUNDAY:
He of course recognized me since I was still in my Wy cosplay and the first thing I think I say to him after Hi and "you too" to his "good to see you again" was:
"Do you remember this?" as I slide the other version of the artbook over.
and then he hits me with something that I will never forget:
"Yes of course, I was actually talking to the others in green room about it" (I assume that's just what they called the room they had for themselves)
After that my brain cut out for a second. I ofc went like "Realy???" bc wth ???!! MY silly little artbook, worth talking to about to the rest of the cast ???? So then I was even more dead set on giving this artbook to him. I think I said smth else after he said, yes he was indeed talking to the others about it but then I just said.
"You can have it."
And he did actually NOT believe me that I was giving it to him, he was shaking his head in disbelief "no, you are giving this to me?" and I just said Yes! and he kept asking if it was really okay and I of course said yes again. Until he eventually took it along with the other prints and the thank you note he didn't get to read right then and there.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Then we got up to take the selfie :3

I have a question about music! I want to get more into Arabic music (women specifically) but the only Arabic musician I know of right now is Faouzia, who is AMAZING, however she doesn’t have a lot of music in Arabic. She uses cultural inspiration in her music (she’s Moroccan), but only has a couple songs with one Arabic word in it (Habibi & Puppet). I like listening to music in other languages and was hoping maybe you had recommendations for Arabic female musicians
never heard of faouzia! thanks for informing me of her. and yes im gonna first name some famous arabic pop singers and then ill move onto some that i also like:
nancy ajram
this woman is probably one of the biggest popstars in the arab world and has been for decades. she has a lot of great hits and id honestly just recommend going thru her music esp her older stuff bc you might like something in there. shes a lebanese christian
youtube
2. haifa wehbe
not a fan of hers but she has some hits and shes also one of the most renowned popstars.
youtube
3. myriam fares
also one of the bigger popstars, she also tends to play with a lot of arabic genres. shes mostly known for her dancing i think, shes quite talented but im not big on her music (im just sharing my faves btw so this is one of my faves and its clearly awful quality)
youtube
4. ruby
i looooooove ruby she was basically the only dark-skinned woman i saw in mainstream arab media and shes an awful dancer but makes amazing music and is also an actress (and ive heard shes quite good at that too) and is a good singer. also afaik shes one of the few female artists that didnt get plastic surgeries (if she did its so mild that its not noticeable). shes egyptian (previous singers i shared are all lebanese)
youtube
5. shadia mansour
one of the only female rappers i know of, i dont know much of her music but this song is really good and the lyrics are amazing. shes palestinian & british and this song is about palestinian resistance basically
youtube
6. elyanna
this one is more modern than my other recommendations fhsdfhds but shes quite good, iirc shes half palestinian half..chilean? i think?
youtube
7. samira said
shes north african, i Think tunisian, and one of the bigger popstars from the 2000s. i dont really listen to most of her music but this one's a classic:
youtube
8. fairuz
this one's quite old-fashioned but definitely a classic and her music continues to be played a lot today... especially by lebanese people. shes a lebanese singer who i think was really prominent for decades starting from the 50s. not sure how her music will be perceived by someone who didn't grow up hearing it tho. shes also lebanese christian
youtube
9. luka salam
only know one song of hers but its a nice one, the lyrics are great and i was obsessed with it at one point. i know shes got others. idk where shes from tbh
youtube
10. maryam saleh
i only know one song of hers too but its also a nice one. shes egyptian
youtube
adding more in reblogs bc i ran out of links to add lol

Hi, love your love towards itlivesproject and your it lives within content. Are you also excited for the other upcoming sequel game projects like @ bloodboundthesiege , @ nightboundfanfiction, etc
Thanks anon- I love you and your sweet message 🖤🖤🖤
I'm hella excited for the other fanmade projects! With the conclusion of ILW, I don't think I'm alone in trying to find the next series to hyperfixate on lol
@immortaldesiresproject - was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed book 1; not a unique opinion to have, but I thought the ending left so many loose ends.
Not sure how PB will handle the sequel, but what I've seen so far from the fan project looks amazing! The outfits 😭😭 I'm very curious to see how each will handle the aftermath of MC's turning and their relationship between gabe/cas/both
---
@bloodboundsiege I downloaded the demo and am excited to check it out! I will admit that I'm still in the process of finishing the series (currently halfway through book 2). Personally, I didn't gravitate towards Bloodbound as much when it was first released. However, I'm having a good time in this recent playthrough- I might just find a playthrough on YouTube bc I'm impatient and want to fully appreciate the demo lol
---
@thedistantshoresproject Distant Shores, my beloved. It's been so long since I've played the original book, but I remember it being one of my favorites. The possibility of romancing Oliver again is too good for me to not keep an eye on this project ☺
---
@nightboundfanfiction Unfortunately, I haven't had the chance to play Nightbound yet, so I haven't been looking at this project too closely. I've heard wonderful things about the book (the classic PB story of an amazing standalone that deserved more). But if anyone who follows me didn't know about this, here ya go besties 🖤
---
@lawsofattraction3 Fairly new addition to the fanmade project renaissance, but I will be keeping an eye on this one. Joaquin deserved more lol. Y'all might be familiar with @oh-so-youre-a-nerd (Thia)- They've done amazing artwork for ILW (the ILW but make it tarot series is stunning) and they are currently part of this team as a CG artist 🖤
A big, warm hug to the creators of all these projects- I wish you all luck as you continue creating wonderful content for everyone to enjoy☺

ten books to know me
ohhhh tysm for the tag molly @mblematic my beloved !! <3<3 this looks so fun except that now. you will all know what created my twisted brain ah well. alas!
the outsiders by s.e. hinton haha had to start with this one! read the outsiders for the first time at like 11/12 yrs old and it was truly truly formative! PONYBOY! SODAPOP! johnny and dally!! also it's quite gay.
a separate peace by john knowles continuing with the themes of male friendship, homoerotic subtext, and books i read in middle school that fundamentally altered my brain chemistry and turned me into the freak i am today or whatever.
lord of the flies by william golding look i know the ~*~mOrAL*~*`! is arguably misanthropic/malthusian/whatever but also. forget about that. it is very gay thats all that matters. and it is ANOTHER book that i first read in middle school and then immediately reread like at least three more times bc it made me absolutely feral. also . . . . . . sucks to your assmar!!
stoner by john williams :) this one has nothing to do with weed (it is about sad academics) and also i did not read it until my twenties but. i did write like forty-five pages about why it is secretly gay! (also it is starkly beautiful and very heart-rending, i do love a book that digs around in my organs and squeezes mercilessly like a toddler playing with slime.)
the waves by virginia woolf finally a book that isnt gay JUST KIDDING it is in fact also a lil gay but mostly it's just fucking beautiful. possibly the most beautiful novel i've ever read idk, hard to say and its not a quick read but like. read it for the first time in high school and have returned to it a number of times since then and. her prose my GOD. its a novel but also a poem, just a very long love poem to .... everything ....
fun home by alison bechdel technically it's a gRapHiC nOvEL and i only read it for the first time about a year ago but. have reread it since and it continues to haunt me istg this memoir is STUNNING the most gorgeous graphic novel & most gorgeous memoir i have ever ever encountered. an actually brilliant piece of literature in every right. makes me sob. (also, yes, it is very gay.)
the heart is a lonely hunter by carson mccullers well i HAD to include carson mccullers on the list dear god!! also so formative...read this book for the first time in high school, have returned to it a number of times since. it is. truly beautiful !!!!!! what else can i say <3.
who's afraid of virginia woolf by edward albee this is in fact a PLAY (!!) also an amazing movie but. i have read the play many many times it is SO funny, SO smart, SO painful. who needs whips when you and yr partner are. mentally torturing each other for sport. another one i read for the first time as a teen so again.... rather formative.
lolita by vladimir nabokov all right well honestly i read this for the first time in high school and enjoyed it, especially part one, thought it was smart n funny n that part two was kinda all over the place but still yknow overall felt positively about it. BUT. gave it a reread last year and jesus CHRIST i was just like !! i missed SO much !! it is not only so goddamn beautiful but SO much more complex and brilliant than i ever picked up on as a teenager my god. the prose is like the most intricate beautiful renaissance painting and the plot is like the most infuriatingly complicated game of CHESS but. it's ?? the product of a genuinely brilliant mind ?? idek but i will probably read this book at least five more times before i die its just. wow.
the raven cycle by maggie stiefvater HAHA copied you molly !!!!!! :) :) devil emoji etc. thought about choosing a book of poetry or just something else Literary but like, i recognize this list is already pretty full of Boring Classic Literature and such so i guess i can loosen my corset or whatever and say. these goddamn ya books. SPECIFICALLY the dream thieves (you are so right!) but also just the series generally jfc. i thought i hated ya but these books have changed me and everything i thought i knew about myself ....... maggie writes such poetic sentences...... "his exposed shoulder was raw and beautiful as a corpse" JESUS FUCKING !! only just read these like six months ago or something but they have utterly rewired my brain chemistry and maybe shifted the entire trajectory of my life so. i cannot. i cannot even. <3
oh shit i forgot to tag ppl um @billsfangearring @forlorngarden @shipsnsails @everythingbutcoldfire @colgatebluemintygel @perverse-idyll no pressure whatsoever xx

Okay I know I bitch about season 4 a lot so here are some things I actually liked:
I like the basketball/dice rolling mash-up. Felt like classic ST. I like that they remind us that the highest stakes in the kids’ lives should be D&D and winning the big game rather than interdimensional war.
I like that the big bad comes directly from the opening campaign like season 1.
I like that Max gets a lot of the spotlight bc she deserves it.
I like that this season gives Lucas more to do and that he’s amazing at it. Ditto Erica.
I like Jonathan having a little buddy since he’s literally had no friends since S1.
Same goes for Nancy. She needs a friend and Ronance friendship is one of the best things ever. Bonus if they fall in love later but honestly having a platonic friend won’t hurt her.
I like that Jonathan joins the Mike Wheeler hate club.
I like that Murray gets to keep his little Russian pal this time #justiceforalexei. I hope they’re very happy together.
I like that they brought back the bikes and added bonus older kids on bikes. I literally squealed at the shot that flipped upside down and mirrored all eight of them on the bikes. More bikes plz.
I like that they found Reefer Rick via video rental archives. Very classic ST, very Scooby Doo. I like that the show points out that these kids figure out mysteries not because they have resources or money or adult help (which they don’t) but bc they’re clever.
I like that it was pretty. For the most part all the shots were really visually stunning. There were def times when cinematography outshone writing by… a lot.
I like that Dustin went from no dad in season one to two dads by season four.
I liked every single moment the actors improvised and honestly all of their performances were top notch. No notes.
I like that one of Hopper’s useless deputies is now the chief. It was a good choice since he is slightly less useless than the other one.
I like that El blows up a helicopter, continuing the grand ST tradition of not being afraid to kill people who suck/are trying to harm children and having no moral back and forth about it. Blowing up a helicopter full of military child killers is morally good.
I like that the writers were like “you’ve seen Steve and Dustin dynamic, now get ready for Steve and Max dynamic!” I like that he fills the role of the big brother she should have had rather than the shitty one she got.
I like that Papa dies and there’s absolutely no question about it this time. He is dead 5sure. I like that El doesn’t forgive him or give him absolution in death. One thing this show really gets right is that one sacrificial act doesn’t erase a lifetime of abuse. The show gets that with Billy and with Brenner. Five stars.
Similarly, I like how complicated Max’s grief is. Of course you feel survivor’s guilt over someone close to you who died for you, but of course you have mixed feelings when that person was a racist and abusive asshole to you, your friends, and your boyfriend. Of course you feel a little relieved that your tormentor is dead, and of course you feel guilty for feeling that way. So many shows are guilty of “redeeming” a character through death without any actual change or accountability and I’m glad we don’t get that here.
I like Robin. She is everything to me.
I like Eddie. See above. I am not immune to white boy of the month especially when he’s like *gestures at him* that.
I like Jopper. I feel it has been extremely well handled from the first hints in season one to the unrequited pining from Hopper in season two (that he never makes her problem, he supports her) to their sexually charged bickering in season three to her saving his fucking life this season… it’s amazing and I’m so glad the parents of the group are finally together.
Aaaaaaaaaand that’s it. But honestly that’s more than I thought there would be when I sat down to write this list.

Now, it's time for the intro songs!
Order of posts (bc this got very long, very quickly) : Fall Fair Suite, Uranium Suite/Tragic Fact, Waiting For The Drop, and finally Uranium Suite/Minor Turn!
Okay, Fall Fair Suite! This is a very common thing in these intro songs, but I love the performance from the choir at the start! It's so common, that the only song that doesn't have it is Waiting For The Drop, which is really cool how it's so consistent! I love the movements that you'd see in a smaller choir, such as the Saint Cassian Chamber Choir, as someone who was in a smaller choir. Also, it should be noted, that I'm not exactly sure if Mischa's phone is real or not? But if it is, huge shout-out to the mic crew! Y'all are awesome, bc phones massive interrupt and disrupt mic signals. Also, yes I love Mischa messaging Talia on his phone, even if the audience doesn't know about Talia yet. I love the various levels of excitement in the choir members! For example, Noel and Ocean have the most energy and excitement, with Constance quickly following them up. Mischa doesn't want to be there, and poor Ricky is in the back. But it is a very fun detail! I also love how it feels as if it's a flashback, due to the lighting! Also because it's behind a mesh curtain! It could also possibly be from Jane's perspective? She wouldn't have known the songs, so she wouldn't be allowed to perform, but she could've been backstage watching them, and this is her view of it? Idk, I just think that'd be neat. Now, one thing about me, is that I love a rotating stage, so I adored the rotation when I first saw it. Also, how they're now in a rollercoaster set up, with arms and everything! Plus then they're being tossed around? Literally amazing. Going from that, to the very precise, backwards movement? That had to take so much time to get down, and I can't imagine how many times the actors just rammed into each other during rehearsal, lol.
Now, the solos to duets! It's so cool! First of all, Tiffany's (Ocean's actress) and Lillian's (Constance's actress) voices go so well together! It's actually amazing. Another note here, it's going in order, based off the row and seat in the coaster they were in. Ocean (front, stage right), Constance (front, stage left), Mischa (middle, stage right), Noel (middle stage left), and then Jane, who in that moment, is the only one who CAN talk in the back row. I think it's neat. Then it's the classic wlw mlm hostility duo, Ocean and Noel. Once again, where they are almost arguing with each other about what they want to happen because of their deaths. Then the group lamenting about their regrets, and how they wasted their lives in classes for the future they'll never even have.
I also both love and hate how the entire choir (minus Jane who obvi isn't on stage, and Ricky, who hasn't discovered he can speak yet) have their own little moment of what they discovered or how to describe their feelings, except for Constance, even if her realization comes later in Jawbreaker.
Then they move back to their choir/coaster position, and it's very cool, to have that constant position that they continue to go back to. And ofc, Mischa and Noel helping Ricky do the movement was very cute. That just has to be mentioned.
I know that EVERYONE has talked about the two little duo spins after that, and yes it's very cute, but like... Let's put more focus on the fact that Ocean felt like something was wrong. That Ocean had a gut feeling. Ik it's been talked about, but like. It's such a cool thing to know, throughout the entire show that Ocean almost knew this before the rest of the choir. Can you imagine the guilt she's feeling for the rest of the show? The guilt she has KNOWING that something was wrong, but still letting everyone get on it? Like bro. *Sobs*
And then, obviously going back to the choir/coaster position AGAIN! Just proving my point. And then the wind and whiplash in the choreo, showing how they looked as they were sailing through the air? Literally amazing. And then obviously that chord beat into the proper choir hand positions? Very funny.
Also, another note, Alex Wyse is a freaking God, how did he resist singing along to this song? Like you can see him fighting himself to not sing, and it fits in very well with Ricky's character and backstory, but man it's so funny to me that you can see him physically restraining himself from singing along.
Anyways, I have a lunch to make and eat, and then we might be back to your regularly scheduled plan, folks. Maybe after a nap too, lol

I've read through your book list and it intrigues me to know that there were someone on this planet that share such love to these masterpieces. I might have merely enough brain cells to type all of this out, but I'd like to know more about you and your interested bc it's that cool. sorry for sounding like an impressionable elementary school kid btw i kinda suck at communication. for my second playthrough I'm trying hard classic and it's so hard I've had to restart the maps so often bc people die and the time crystal can't fix it 😭 idk how you could do maddening!!
😱 good luck!!! actually I was joke-writing a post of Maddening Pro Tips™ last night but then I decided to go to bed instead. but perhaps this is a good place to put them.
don't separate your units and don't try to go too fast! later on even in hard difficulty your units will be able to solo things and you can play aggressively more easily, but at the start you will need to keep them together and have them work together to get kills.
memorize your units' personal skills and pay attention to positioning take advantage of them: Alear's personal (+3 damage per hit and -1 damage taken per hit from foes to adjacent units) is extremely useful throughout the game. Chloé does extra damage per hit when she's within 2 spaces of a male and female ally that are adjacent to one another. Louis takes less damage per hit when he's within 2 spaces of 2 adjacent female allies. every bit of damage or reduced damage counts!
Vander is most useful as a meat shield. he'll eat up kills while barely gaining xp if you let him so unequip his weapon if he's getting too many kills, but in early chapters you can absolutely shove him in front of more vulnerable units to block enemy attacks. (he also gives Alear a small crit bonus when adjacent to him.)
positioning continues to be key: take advantage of chain attacks from back-ups. in maddening they're actually my main source of damage to bosses, who regularly take 0 damage from my regular attacks, but my chain attackers gang up on them to hurt them anyway. I'm not sure exactly how chain damage is calculated but it is fixed (goes between 3-6 damage for me depending on some circumstances I don't understand yet) and always 80% accuracy (unless you have a dragon using All For One) and it really really adds up. relatedly, you can switch a unit's weapon without wasting their move, so you can use this to make sure your backup has like a spear or hand axe equipped so that they can join in on other attacks.
this is a tip for later game but Emblem Lyn's Call Doubles skill is the absolute best skill in the game imo. the game only says that the doubles participate in chain attacks but that is literally the LEAST important thing that they can do. I've used them to block hallways and create a choke point when the enemies would've demolished my running-away units otherwise. they also RETALIATE if the enemy attacks them and misses? which is amazing? and most importantly, the AI is incredibly dumb and it seems like bosses in particular will ALWAYS target a clone if one is available. most likely because they have 1 hp. and in particular this means bosses will absolutely waste their engage attacks on these poor clones so that you don't have to worry about one of your actually-killable units getting lodestar rushed. these doubles have saved my ass SO MANY TIMES. idk what they were thinking when they made this skill it seems so unassuming but is actually so broken.
if you have the extra money, tonics are helpful for difficult battles. I've always ignored them until this particular playthrough but I know people make heavy use of them in stuff like conquest lunatic. you can also use tonics on the world map before a battle (I just learned this after spending like half an hour in a battle having everyone cluster around Alear and shuffle items in their convoy in order to imbibe one of each tonic which took like 20 turns).
sometimes (or for me, literally all the time) you have to try a map multiple times to figure out how the enemy moves, what aggros certain enemies, etc. to figure out a playbook to go by so you can get to the hardest parts while using as few divine pulses as possible. e.g. for chapter 17 it took me like 4 failed tries but then I ended up with a strategy that could get me through the first 3-4 bosses with minimal divine pulse use.
you did not ask for this lol but if you read some of it I hope it helps!!

Let Curiosity be your Guide!
“Remember to look up at the stars and not down at your feet. Try to make sense of what you see and wonder about what makes the universe exist. Be curious."
This is a wonderful quotation from that great and much-missed scientist and thinker Stephen Hawking. It encapsulates so much of what I have long felt should be education's guiding principle. Following on from my recent article, 'Another Kind of Narrow...', which argued that a job-market-trend guiding principle could only lead to an ephemeral educational form that only excluded and failed in its core purpose, I now bring you a more positive and passionate description of what it should be about in my humble opinion.
Curiosity drives learning, ideas, and ultimately an unlocking of our thinking potential that allows us to grow, engage, and discover. Hawking not only knew this, he represented this process. He would have, I think, been in excellent company with pre-Socratic philosopher Thales, who preferred to look up rather than down, driven by his curiosity and thirst for discovery.
Thales was mocked when he fell down a well, gazing upon the heavens. But he was not deterred. He remarkable believed that the stars were burning rocks, not gods. Given his limited tools, it is amazing that the power of his observation and logic led him to a suggestion which is not a million miles from reality. They certainly burn.
I was honoured back in October to partner my good friend Dr Nagamani Krishnamurthy, who is not only deeply passionate about education, but also an incredibly talented educator during World Education Empathy Week at EducationInfluence.com's conference with free lessons for whoever wished to tune in. We spoke about ancient philosophy and how it represented that beautiful curiosity that grows pleasure in learning from an early age and how t foster it in the classroom in a way that promoted continued passion for learning both in and beyond school.
Curiosity is natural and fabulous, from the child with the new toy to the great thinker, whose discovery makes our jaw drop and then smile, our day feeling warmed and enriched by their learning.
The moment when I realised teaching was right for me was when I was reading an unseen taken from Sophocles' Antigone, in my first ever teaching job. Sadly, I forget the passage now, but one of the girls smiled and with a look of delighted realisation, she told me that this play 'rocked', and the class plunged into a discussion of how little human nature had changed. Her curiosity was ignited and her sense of learning lit. She might not spout Classics at everyone in every day life (although if she's anything like me, she probably does), but her infectious learning and passion, I have no doubt will be inspirational.
I would like to end with a favourite curiosity-driven discovery. The atom. The roots of this wonderful theory are ancient. Logic and observation of weathered rocks and worn statues were evidence cited in support of the fifth-century BC hypothesis of minute particles to which everything could be reduced. Lucretius' curiosity led him to weave his strong scientific mind with his artistic genius into one of the finest poems ever written, de rerum natura. It represents of science and art's most beautiful harmonies.
Curiosity is for everyone and it is in everyone: the musician, the electrician, the academic, the pilot. What was the initial spark that made them go 'wow' and fired their passion and imagination. Let this guide education, let this help children grow, let this make them happy.

this post is just to send to my therapist but read if you want to hear the story of how I fell in love with Scorpio (copied from my instagram posts made at the time)
OK PART 1 STORYTIMEE so it was thursday evening i think and i was at bens house and i wanted to (nothing new) rip my head off bc ben was fucking irritating as always nothing new ! i was swiping on tinder no biggie and i matched with andy so i sent him a message telling him i thought he was cute, already within 5 seconds of convo i thought he was either a) just a really confident and aggressively extroverted person or b) legitimately insane, and then after five minutes he asked (since id only be there til sunday) if i wanted to meet up to play piano for funsies and i said Fuck yea! we met halfway at a cute little park and started chatting and he was suchhh a sweetheart and told me more about what this date was on the way back to his area, we ended up staying the night at a church he works at to play on their piano and just goof off but when i tell youuuuy i wasnt ready to a) be serenaded and b) be so encouraged and supported by himm...!!!! im already nervous about piano and playing for people bc im self taught and definitely playing for somebody whos classically trained (and that im trying to court no less) didnt help either but he was so sweet and so genuinely impressed and from the way he said he was going crazy for me i swearrr my heart started doing flipsss he was so sweet we literally just played music with/for each other with candles lit for like 2 hourss then after that we danced with each other and sang spanish love songs and then i geeked about classical music i liked to him and he listened through all my half baked analyses and he was just 🥺🥺🥺 unbelievaaableeeee
anyway we did end up fucking and sleeping in the church BUT besides the point anyway the next day he had promised to go to a weekend nudist retreat with his friend and i was like yes of course i had a wonderful time with you i hope u enjoy the retreat etc. but on the inside i was using my intestines to snap my ribs and stab myself in the heart and lungs bc i knew i was going to have to stay with ben the rest of the trip after such an amazing night... fast forward to friday evening and andy texts me saying his friend was being a prick and that if i was willing to hang out hed come back early and spend time with me... now mind you im not one to celebrate someones misfortunes nor encourage ill sentiment between people... but i DEFINITELY was very happy that i was going to get to see andy again so of course i said "yes please literally kidnap me" and so saturday morning we meet at the park again and he tells me about why his short trip was shit and i tell him about why mine had been shit bc i forgot to explain it thursday night and then we agree to forget about both our shitty gay friends and have fun so he takes me to laguna beach and we go free diving/snorkeling (its my first time) and as soon as we step back onto the beach from like 30 minutes of diving all he does is shower me in praise and kiss me and tell me how impressed he is and all i could think was 🥺 wow and tbh looking back im not sure if me losing my balance and breath at that moment was because of lack of oxygen or because of him flattering me but anyway we got all our stuff and went to a second point to snorkel again, it was high tide so it was hard to get past the rocky part at first and he ended up getting cut trying to wait for me but he assured me it was ok and we swam out together and saw some beautiful sea grass fields and kelp forests 🥺🥺 then after that we went and got dinner and i managed to cover the bill while he was in the bathroom jejeje >:) he tried to pay me back but i just used the cash he gave me as an extra tip (a 100% tip ! yup yup) then after that we went to a second beach and after like 30 mins of looking for parking managed to find a spot!! continued in next post
PART 3 but yea we found a spot and played volleyball and watched the sunset and once i started getting back into the groove of playing (i hadnt played in a HOTTT minute) he was sooo sweet and playfully competitive and im jushdktnrkdjr just so fun and then after that we walked down towards pier and he was blasting music and dancing and ngl i was rly nervous about it but everybody was just super chill and some ppl even started dancing w him and i thought it was so cutee so i just started dancing along side him all the way down to the showers to rinse off and at the showers we just full on started salsa dancing with each other and everybody was so supportive and im 🥺🥺 then after that we went back to the car and started driving back to LA and we came up w the idea to just get a hotel room and have him take me to the airport in the morning and we DID IT also mind you every single time we were in the car we were showing each other music and it was mostly me showing him music and then me geeking and fawning over different artists or pieces in front of him ANYWAYprobably the weirdest part was dropping by bens place to get my stuff but yknow what the brief minute of awkwardness was WORTHHH getting to spend the rest of my time with andy cuz the hotel was so cute we just cuddled and ordered thai food (they fucked up our order so we got a second batch of food for free) and listened to more music and im just 🥺 the next morning he had to rush out because we woke up late and he had promised a friend of his to pick her up from somewhere and he ended up leaving his shirt behind and i still dk if it was on purpose 🥺 after that i took a lyft to the airport and yeah that was my story of how i became obsessed w this cute music teacher 🗿

Ok. So. The first time I have ever dived into fanfic before watching the series was Teen Wolf bc Sterek. And I have no regrets bc that series was... interesting. The second time was now with Dirty Little Secret. Like, I kinda feel like I HAVE to watch Stranger Things just to see Steve and his Gremlins??? And like, Eddie with the hair and the rings??? Also, I would like to know who this Billy boy is??? I have Questions and it seems like watching Stranger Things will go a lot better than my attempt to watch Teen Wolf lol
ALSO Marriage and Mate Chases has been the angst I need in my life. Like. Got damn. Why you be so good at making me feel frustratingly sad?? Great job but also, chop chop at writing my HEA (on your own timetable of course, I am committed to the ride and respect all your time and effort)
And to continue the trend, fuc* Howard. That is all.
You should watch Stranger Things REGARDLESS of whether or not you read my fics for them, but also yes read my fics then watch it and read some more cos it is TOP TIER. There are very few shows I can watch and honestly enjoy from one end to the other and manage to care about even the side characters and sympathize with the villains and sob for the main characters and rum the whole gamut of emotions while watching series finales but like... Stranger Things does it. Watch it. Then come scream at me about it. It's amazing.
DON'T WORRY Marriage and Mate Chases will have a hell of a happily ever after, It will just be slower than my usual fics at getting there. Realistically this will probably be my Last Big Stony Fic and I really want to make it something amazing. Unique from my other ones despite carrying alot of the same tropes, legendary for the complexities, but also timeless because nothing is as classic as Steve and Tony loving each other.

anyways what other lesbian media do you like/rec besides the yuri? any good books, tv, etc?
omg blue is the warmest colour the graphic novel is AMAZINGGGGG i read it when i was first coming out and i bawled omg.
the book the color purple is amazing but it’s very sad & triggering. but if you’re a lesbian who can handle reading books with themes of rape & SA.. i’d recommend reading this book bc just wow. ahead of it’s time & it still continues to be unique decades later.
movies, honestly i also liked the blue is the warmest colour movie but the sex scenes caught me off-guard and go on for a very long time 😭 the male director fucked it up by being a creep bc the movie itself is nice tho the ending is v sad (novel ending is better imo). but i’m a cheerleader is a classic. the handmaiden was amazing. i LOVE i care a lot and how it represents lesbians in a diff way (like the romance isnt the central aspect of it & theyre not lesbians first & foremost. they’re complex women who happen to be lesbians). gia is amazing & based on a true story. badhaai do is a cutsey funny bollywood film about a lavender marriage & depicts lesbians decently too.
my fave media to consume is tv series so! i have a lot of those. the l word is ofc a classic. cheesy & unrealistic & downright ridiculous at many points but it’s memorable and sticks with u. the 100 was hated on for how they dealt with lesbian representation but honestly i liked it overall, just don’t expect a happy ending rly. atypical is cute but there are 0 lesbians just bi women. i loved ratched!!!!! and also the 7 lives of lea. orphan black. the haunting of bly manor. GENTLEMAN JACK OFC!!!! wentworth is amazing. killing eve too. jane the virgin is very cute and the lesbians in it are so dramatic it’s funny. skins is a classic. locked up is also good but major tw, it’s filled with rape and abuse in such an extreme way that i really struggled to watch it. but an actual lesbian plays a lesbian character and she’s amazing
i recommend to not waste ur time on the film “room in rome”. i see it a lot on lesbian film lists and it’s one of the worst ever. they’re literally in a room just talking the whole time and it’s weird bc it’s this hetero woman with a boyfriend and lesbian with a girlfriend and it just gets weird. and they say weird shit about some saudi guy but it’s like weird bc his name translates to donkeys in arabic. it’s just bad. that’s my anti-recommendation. it’s a bad bad movie. the het woman even pressures the lesbian into penetrating her with a glass bottle bc “i’m straight i love penetration”
