those spiderman/deadpool crossovers for steddie but like also following mcu backstories bc i unforch have never read the comics OKAY . be patient with me please

eddie munson as deadpool and steve harrington as morena baccarin's character but set in high school. like maybe after breaking up with nancy and getting beat up by billy, steve goes looking for something to help with the pain (migraines? maybe bc he just got the shit kicked out of him a week ago and he has a hairline fracture from that dumb plate? you decide...). either way, everyone says that eddie munson deals at that picnic table behind the school.

somehow, the two of them end up together. i'm trying to decide between a fwb situation with mutual pining or a whirlwind romance established relationship, but it always ends with eddie munson being diagnosed with cancer.

now this follows the general plot from the deadpool movie with the experimentation/clinical trials for a miracle cure and eddie becomes a mutant (bc deadpool is part of the x-men universe right... i actually have no idea what the correct term for him is. he has powers basically). ALSO, opportunity for a horrible lack of communication. does steve know that eddie has cancer? does he just think that eddie disappeared in the middle of the night? what if he told eddie he loved him and that was when eddie made the decision to go through with the experimental treatment because if there was a possibility to live and stay with steve, he'd do anything to have that.

considering a steve harrington mourning the loss of eddie after he disappears/dies depending on if he's aware of the cancer diagnosis, and not applying for college at all or submitting lackluster applications. his parents don't understand his grief bc they don't know/care that he just lost someone he loved, and he ends up working at scoops with robin.

and robin is great, like platonic soulmates i'm going to spend the rest of my life with you great. she encourages him to get back up and apply to college with her (nyu? to be more canon to spiderman. it could also be indianapolis, but a city either way for a superhero who swings off buildings)

anyways, maybe a year or so passes but the time frame doesn't matter as much as the fact that steve harrington was bitten by a radioactive spider. and now he's spiderman and all of the whatnot that goes into fighting crime and secret identities.

this could also be somewhat canon compliant with stranger things in a steve "why does supernatural shit keep happening to me" harrington way. he got bitten in the russian bunker perhaps? i think it would make most sense for the upside down to be closed off completely after starcourt because hawkins isn't... doesn't make sense to me for deadpool and spiderman to exist in, but also like personal preference.

Hi!!! This is my first time saying anything here, so yayyy! But I say that one ask from another anon talking about how Dottore had never recorded fragile!reader's voice before and then forgot what it sounds like, and my brain made some jumps and--

I like to think that sometimes, whether when Dottore is just working in the room while reader sleeps (I like to think that he's modified himself enough that he doesn't need as much sleep as regular humans) or if he's also in the bed with you, that sometimes, reader's sleeping form reminds him a little too much of when reader was in a coma. Or perhaps, even worse, and that reader's time had come while he was sleeping/working. Immediately, he has to reassure himself that you're not, in fact, dead, by either going to check their pulse and keeping his hand there longer than it needs to be (what if they die the second he takes it off??) or, if he was closer to them or sleeping with them (in the literal sense), by even just listening to it. And he tries to rationalize it with himself (bc he's so i denial, I already know it) by being like "noooo, i'm not worried!! I'm a great doctor, and I have nothing to worry about!! I'm just... checking for abnormalities!!" as if he isn't just doing it to make sure they're still alive.

Idk, the thought just popped into my head. He's lost them before without a chance of saying goodbye, and he never wants it to happen again, especially if this time they'll be gone for good.

I'd like to think that reader wasn't really aware of it until one night when he was making a little more noise than usual, and they woke up groggily to find him with their ear on their chest, desperately holding onto you as if you were going to die any second. And then the second he realized you were awake, moved off was like "Hello, I'm not doing anything sus whattt"

So now reader knows he does it, but allows it because they think it's kind of cute, but also because they know that he would never admit his fears.

You've known Zandik for a long time. So you are very aware that he has weaknesses. Yes, even though the scholar tried to hide it, his walls would slowly chip away during those late nights spent in the dorm or on expeditions. But Dottore? After you woke up, you wondered if Dottore had any weaknesses. Dottore seemed to be a man of no fear, but perhaps you should have expected that because what would someone as God-like as him have to fear now? He has much power in his grasp, surely there is nothing that could bother him. He's no longer the same Zandik you once knew, and that's okay really, but you just wonder to yourself sometimes. Little did you know Dottore's one and only fear was about you.

Il Dottore considers himself a rational man in every possible subject area. Yes, he does not allow himself to be swayed by anything as irrational as emotion and instead focuses on logic. Whether his final decision is cruel or unethical is not something he cares about. But you... you are the exception. You are the variable he cannot control. And so irrationality is one of the things he despises, swore to himself he'd never be a victim of, but here he was anyway. Succumbing to an irrational mindset is the last thing he thought he'd do.

Often times when Dottore sleeps with you, he doesn't actually sleep. He gets into the bed to appease you, because it brings you comfort, (your words) lays there for a bit until you fall asleep, and resumes his work. He is just far, far too busy to stay. But, nowadays, he finds it even harder than usual to say. Why? Because of his irrational mind, once again. He needs to know that you are alive. Which is a dumb fear really, you're not going to die, you're not going to leave, your body is stable (for now) so there's no need to worry. But he needs to know. He needs confirmation. You know. He really hates that you've done this to him. He hates it. But he can't blame you, only himself, because if he cured you already he would never have to deal with irrationality again.

Dottore is used to the quietness of a human heart, from his experiments of course, clicking his tongue in annoyance from how easily they died and feeling no emotion. But your heart, if your heart stopped... well, his madness would not be transcribed to paper very well, because it would be too hard to describe. But he denies that. And he especially denies it to you. He denies it, so that's why he finds himself counting your heart's beats per minute anyway. But now you know that even the great Il Dottore has a fear and weakness. After all, when it's only the two of you, he is only Zandik, the same man who fell hard for you all those centuries ago. But that's okay. You promised to always be there, even if he doesn't want you to be.

Hm. Yknow I was thinking about your Summer theory as well as Raven and I came to a conclusion that I think is Very interesting

So Summer would've told Raven the truth about Oz, right? The fact that he's preparing the world for divine judgement? What if Raven went to confront Oz about it? It'd be in character for her to do so, especially with something like THAT hanging over everyone's heads

But um. Backtracking real quick- Raven doesn't like Oz, but she doesn't seem to HATE him. She insults Tai and Qrow more than him, she mostly seems to hate how Oz does things. Which is completely fair, some of his actions deserve criticism (and I say this as an Oz fan lol). I think this Could give us insight into how Raven confronting Oz about the mandate could've gone

Basically Raven would've confronted Oz about it, and Oz, suspicious but still choosing to answer, would say that he hasn't worked towards that goal in millennia. Raven would call bullshit, until Oz offers to use the relic of knowledge underneath Haven.

Thing is, NO ONE besides Oz knows about the password. No one besides him COULD know, so I highly doubt Summer or someone else could've used it. And they go, Raven asks Jinn if Oz is lying- and she says that Oz isn't lying.

Raven would hate Oz a WHOOOOLE lot more if Oz was still working towards that goal and she knew about it. It'd be something I'm sure would've pushed her to even join Salem. But she... doesn't hate Oz. She doesn't LIKE him, obviously, and I don't think she ever will (her interacting with Oscar would be fun), but she doesn't seem to outright hate him. This theory would figure that out AND solve the "where did the first question go" AND be another tasty reveal.

I really don't think Oz is still working towards divine judgement. He absolutely USED to, but I think by now he's stopped completely. I have multiple reasons for this, such as him saying after The Four Seasons that magic should strictly stay in the realm of fantasy (doesn't sound like someone who wants magic or the gods back), that everything he's doing goes directly AGAINST what Light wants (in Fairytales of Remnant, he actively ENCOURAGES people to question everything they see or hear; Oz focuses on the importance of individuality; he actively makes the Gods look petty and bad, and probably more I'm forgetting). Oz isn't an idiot, nor is he delusional. He's made mistakes but that doesn't mean he's dumb.

You could argue he's still working towards unity, but by itself, unity isn't necessarily a BAD thing. And Light doesn't necessarily just want people to be united, he wants to, and I quote, "But if your kind is unchanged, if you demand our blessings while still fighting amongst yourselves, then man will be found irredeemable and your world will be wiped from existence." He wants people to not question him, to never ask for anything, to follow him blindly. Oz repeatedly directly opposes this idea, and even turns away when the option to actually fulfill this task is handed to him on a silver platter (everyone kneeling to him at the end of the Great War). The options are a) he's putting in the absolute BARE minimum of effort into his task b) he's a delusional idiot and c) he's not working towards this task anymore. I think it's far more likely he's not working towards it anymore.

Granted, I genuinely don't think Salem is aware of ANY of this. They haven't exactly been communicating. Just as Oz isn't aware of Salems true goals, Salem isn't aware that Ozpin gave up his goal. Honestly, if they talk and this comes up and Oz doesn't say "Is that truly what you think of me?" I'll buy a hat just to eat it <- thinks Oz parallels Darkness (delusional).

Anyways Raven would hate Oz way way more if Oz was still working towards that goal, unless she either doesn't know (unlikely, Summer would've told her) or he's not working towards it anymore and he proved it to her via relic (bc literally nothing else short of that would work).

the problem here though is that ozpin is still trying to fulfill his task, at least notionally. he doesn’t WANT to and he may not BELIEVE in it except insofar as he believes the final judgment is inevitable, but he locked down all four relics after establishing a united global order for a reason. however reluctantly, he’s still dragging himself forward along this path one painful inch at a time.

because it’s all he has left. because he’s punishing himself for what he sacrificed for the sake of this task. because he believes there is no other choice. because he fears that doing what he wants will doom the world to annihilation and is impossible besides.

as i’ve said before, beacon academy is a replica of her father’s castle and the headmaster’s office is at the top of her tower for a reason. in his telling, the girl “writes herself out of danger” by writing a fairytale about herself and throwing it to the winds; ozpin published an anthology of fairytales about her, about him, about all his sacrifices and all his regrets, pleading for forgiveness, and the last two stories are the girl in the tower (in his commentary he says the hero who saved her turned out a villain in the end, but hopefully the villain can become a hero too) and the gift of the moon (in his commentary he writes that humanity replaced a gift of the all-powerful god of light with something better).

throwing his stories and his plea for help to the wind, hoping against hope that somehow it’ll find its way into her hands, and she’ll understand and save him from all this.

we live in fear that we might fail/fear that we’ll succeed—he’s too afraid of the consequences if he fails to ever stop, but even greater than that fear is his terror of success, because this world still isn’t as dear to him without her and to save the world he would have to sacrifice her. do exactly the thing she mocks him for not doing: hold her up as a common enemy and rally the whole world against her, then summon the brothers to condemn her.

everything else—the paranoia the zealotry the deceit the passivity—is a distortion to hide this truth even from himself. he will choose her every time. and the fundament of his character is how much he fucking hates himself for that because he’s also convinced that his love dooms the world.

so like. no he would not tell raven jinn’s name, she might find out that he’s still in love with salem. that’s his deepest darkest horrible secret and his great and terrible shame.

i’m also not sure why you think raven would go to ozpin with the spring maiden’s blood on her hands and the awful truth that summer joined salem burning under her tongue, as if raven’s whole character isn’t that she runs away when she’s afraid. be serious.

raven talks about ozpin with the same mixture of disdain and fear she does salem. as far as she’s concerned they are exactly the same—both of them use and discard people, both of them lie, neither will rest until the world crumbles at their feet because no matter who wins in the end, the gods will return to crush or destroy everyone. raven doesn’t want anything to do with either of them; her disgust for tai and qrow is predicated on their trust in ozpin.

that doesn’t require an explanation.

“who asked the first question?” is also, frankly, on a level with “what happened to the stolen dust?” in that it’s an imaginary plot hole with a very obvious answer if you pay attention to the small details: ozpin used the staff of creation to raise atlas, then sealed the relic away in its vault; the staff gives you exactly what you ask for and therefore requires very thorough, precise instructions and ideally blueprints and examples; raising a city into the sky is a task with zero margin for error; ozma as the king of vale used the crown of choice in tandem with the sword of destruction to end the great war; ozpin is the only person who knows jinn’s name; ozpin used jinn’s first question to proof his specifications for the staff.

There's a thing with most media, but TV shows & movies especially, which have so many people involved in making them, and so many constraints behind the scenes that we the viewers may or may not know anything about, that sometimes the way a scene appears to the viewer is NOT the way it was intended/the way the characters take it.

Shadowhunters is a particularly egregious example of this, being a (relatively) cheap YA melodrama on a third-rate network whose entire production staff got swapped out between seasons 1 and 2, so 'lol what is consistency or planning?!?' is visible everywhere.

Is Izzy in-universe actually clueless/dangerous Straight People™️or were the writers/showrunners clueless Straight/White People™️who had no idea that half of their 'rule of cool' / 'quick banter' / etc. came across as micro-aggressions to the audience?

You can go either way, it's all a question of which you think is more fun/interesting/necessary for your own peace of mind/enjoyment of canon. (Fandom is supposed to be fun after all.)

A lot of people settle on 'they are that bad in canon' and write a lot of fix-it fic or 'nephilim have to deal with CONSEQUENCES!' fanworks, and those are great! A lot of other people go with "clearly everyone else in canon acts like they have positive relationships, so this is a failure of execution and I'm going to write fic/make art assuming that these people are who they SAY they are, and figure out what that looks like to me" and those are also great!

Just decide which one you're doing when you start, because combining both in one fic gets... a little weird? Hard to follow, at least. 🤣

SO: Is Alec uncomfortable? How does he deal with that, what does that say about his relationship with Izzy, with other nephilim, with the Clave & Council & Alicante? How does that contrast with how he feels interacting with the downworld, which is canonically a lot more self-aware and accepting of queer people and minorities?

If Alec isn't uncomfortable with Izzy's behavior, if no one else seems to pick up on it, why? Do we go with other people's reactions in canon and assume that she is in fact very careful with what she says where and it seems overt to us the viewers because we're allowed to see it? (Much like inter-party banter over comms in heist movies or tv shows; no one else ever hears it or sees it, so we can see and hear it for storytelling purposes, not for 'reality' purposes.)

If that's the case, what does their relationship look like to people in public? How different are public-facing Alec & Jace & Isabelle from what we the viewers see of their private relationships to each other?

Do you want to assume some mish-mash of both? It's more subtle in the setting than it seems so we can see it, and also Alec knows she means well even if we don't? OR SOMETHING ELSE ENTIRELY?

IDK, I have no conclusions here. I mostly assume that the show is a disaster, and these people all seem to like each other, so how can I write them that fits the results rather than all the dumb-ass details? (I like a lot of authors/artists who go the other way though.) Hi nonny! I'm not sure off the top of my head of any similar hairs, I never really used their content since it was pretty poorly made poly & texture wise. But as fair as straight hairs go, I tend to use johnnysimmer and daylifesims a lot for my male sims especially. Maybe daylifesims especially could be similar?

As for using content from certain creators, I usually don't care about what ppl use in their personal games if they're not like, promoting them in like lookbooks and stuff. It's not going to hurt anything to use cc in your game. For example, I'm pretty anti-paywall in terms of promotion & I'm trying to cut down to just free creators, but I still use some (like the two I recommended above lol). But me personally, I just feel icky with having some creators' cc sometimes, ya know? There's quite a few I've purged for various reasons & don't even want for free.

It does slightly disgust me to see this person promoted or recommended, because I know what they've done, and bc of their lack of respect and blatant victim blaming they ping some unpleasant memories now- but that's more a personal problem than the fault of others. I would never see someone using their cc and think that they were disgusting or condoning that sort of thing, chances are they don't even know. I may wind up blocking someone if they promote a LOT or seem to be close friends, just to protect my own peace, but I'm not gonna judge the average person for having a hair in their game haha.

Vaush isn't and has never been far right. My recollection of the Noncompete/Vash debate regarding the Holocaust wasn't Vaush trying to gotcha Noncompete into having said the Holocaust was valid by 'his logic', it was him trying to point out that if the response people kept giving to the "well, jews were over-represented in banking and that's why-" was "no they weren't" if a nazi ever cites "well, according to these extenuating circumstances, they WERE" they wouldn't have any recourse to fall back on.

Vaush' point was that you need to have such a strong moral framework that you can still, undoubtedly say it was the wrong thing to do, arguments over details like "jews were over-represented in banking" being true or not. i.e. It doesn't matter if they were or weren't, that wasn't a justification for anyone's actions. Falling back on arguments that can get disproven or at the very least challenged locks you into a debate on the far-right's level instead of just broadly condemning them regardless of the details. What happened as a result of people believing this to be true does.

The debate got so poisoned and aggressive that no-one managed to convey their points properly, and NC left early before it got anywhere productive. Vaush had to explain where he was trying to lead the conversation in a stream afterwards bc the debate got full of so much stupid posturing that they never got that far.

He's a smart guy, but doesn't always say things in a way that's easy to follow in the moment. That's burned him more than once - rather severely. His overconfidence doesn't help.

Should probably point out that in a conversation with Vaush regarding the Debate Bro video Noah Samson released, Noah ended up walking back almost every point and I wouldn't be trusting his analysis of the situation anyway. This is also extremely niche community stuff, but there is actually this weird... debate bro vs video essayist schism in the online leftist sphere that's resulted in a fucktonne of well poisoning on either side.

I probably seem defensive, but that's mostly bc I've been watching both the right and leftists that don't like him twist the things he says into absolute pretzels to make him look like a terrible person. Not to say he's never done anything wrong or stupid though.

First off, I'm not saying that Vaush was a right winger, or that he ever made right wing content. Just that he, as a white (persumably cishet) man, has more than likely fallen into socially conservative ideology at some point in his life. Which isn't a dig at him, it's just how our culture is set up. We all need to deconstruct from societal brainwashing. Cishet white men just usually have the hardest time with that, because it means leaving behind a system that inherently advantages them.

Second, there's a lot we need to unpack here.

I rewatched the clip in question and in my interpretation, what I said in my other post about this is what I saw happening. But okay I concede that I didn't watch the entire stream so we will set aside my interpretation for a moment and go off of yours.

See, here's the thing. Based on what you said happened, I still think Vaush was dumb. Why? Because engaging with the right's false claims on any level still gives them the power to control the conversation. That is something you need to be acutely aware of every time you platform something like that.

When you platform a false argument you are, in essence, giving it equal validity to true claims. Your first priority after bringing it up should be explicitly discussing why it does not deserve equal validity to true claims. Vaush platformed an alt-right talking point, but did no work in attempting to deconstruct why people shouldn't believe it.

If you cannot do that effectively, then it is probably better if you don't bring it up at all. Because if you bring up a point and don't deconstruct it, you just platformed it for your audience who might actually believe it. Which is exactly what happened.

You have to keep in mind that even if that's not what he meant to do, his audience did take that claim from him and perpetuate alt-right misinformation in trying to defend Vaush from people who were calling him out for it. You have leftist spaces uncritically parroting a Nazi talking point with no understanding of why that claim is false or why it matters. And when they parrot that point then other left-leaning people might pick it up and repeat it, and on and on and on and you've basically just done the right's work for them.

The power of the right doesn't lie in their ability to make actual claims. It lies in their ability to manipulate rhetoric. Deconstructing rhetoric should have been the focus of that point, not "can you make enough smart boy arguments to get around stupid right winger claims" because alt-righters will always have a dumber claim to refute you.

If you can identify their rhetoric then you can poke their buttons and they will make your argument for you.

Vaush, stupidly, made their argument for them in doing what he did how he did it.

I also have to say... is an unplanned, unprepared, off the cuff live debate really the best place to be bringing up these issues, especially for someone like Vaush who is, apparently, prone to sticking his foot in his mouth and largely outside of the groups affected (to my knowledge)?

I don't mean to be a bitch, but the entire role of debate is to be able to clearly and accurately convey your points in an argument. If he can't effectively do that and has a tendency toward posturing and "winning" rather than the exchange of ideas, then he's apt to do more harm than good.

I'm not saying that these livestreamers don't have their place, but video essays are invaluable precisely because they can take the time to do research and present arguments in the most clear, nuanced manner. If you are ignorant on stream then you are ignorant, and you're going to present that ignorance in the moment. Most people will go with the first thing they hear from you no matter how hard you try to backtrack or correct it down the line, so it's vitally important that you get it right the first time. ESPECIALLY when the misinformation can fit into a punchy soundbyte and the explanation is buried in a 7 hour stream no one watched.

Here's the thing... When you are not part of the cishet white male majority, then everything you do is scrutinized and picked apart. You are never, ever just representing yourself or your own views. If a gay man does something bad then the cishet white male hegemony will use it as an excuse to say all gay men are bad. Everyone who is part of a marginalized group has experienced this to some degree.

The way Vaush is getting picked apart is the way everyone from marginalized groups is picked apart constantly.

If an ally represents us poorly, then that is going to be far worse for us than it is for the ally. Vaush got some backlash for his ironic misogyny thing, but ultimately the people most hurt by it were women and trans folk, because the right pointed to that and said "SEE we told you! This is why you shouldn't listen to the left about these issues!"

That's why when someone purports to represent us we are going to hold them to a standard that is as high (if not higher) than the standard we ourselves are held to. A friend hooked me up with this acc a few days back when I decided to make a comeback on Tumblr after being off the scene for ages bc I was stuck in a boredom pit during a sick spell. But some time ago, I met this footballer, and to this day, we're a bit of a thing, but it's nothing too serious, ya know? I mean, he's got his own life, but we're hanging out... or whatever you wanna call it. Met him through this friend who also filled me in on this side of Tumblr, lol. She introduced me to him because she's got a thing (nothing serious because he's never into anything serious lol) with one of his teammates whom, by the way, she met on IG. So, ladies, never trust them, alright?

I gotta admit, even though it might not look like it, he's a pretty decent guy, you know, chill and funny. Honestly, I met him when my life was going down the pan, and he came through in every way. But let's cut the crap, he's a footballer, living his own life, i ain't dumb and i'm telling u, the whole WAGs scene is a proper load of rubbish, really. Getting a bit closer to him made me see how everything's fake, how so many of them play the two-faced game.

Some of these girls are even fully aware that their partners are playing away and they just shut an eye and I get it, in a twisted way. I'm not proud of this at all and being part of this drama, but I won't lie and say I regret it. Negative tossing my own take on the Mipha’s Grace is Fairy Bottle With Extra Steps is that we have had some form of Heal by Death in every game except the first. Hyrule has dolls he can find and Legend and Wind even having non fairy items they can purchase to resurrect with. All of them should be aware of the possibility even if only a few have used it. If anything meeting other people who treat dying casually should far more horrific then the simple existence something they can all potentially do.

Positive saying fuck destiny and finding ways to meet again after having to part at the end of the adventure.

Hyrule being a super experienced traveler is so good, this guy has been wandering since he was like eight and he's got a lot of campfire stories. And while I think it's not outrageous to assume that schooling in this era is a little lacking that doesn't mean that he's dumb in any way at all, he's very clever and he knows how to read thank you very much. Maybe he had some education in Calatia. I mean he was smart enough to leave and survive on his own and save his namesake a few times so like.... not stupid.

Any large piece of fabric that the chain owns can and will be used as a blanket. Scarf, sailcloth, cloak, Wind probably has actual sails that he used to have on the king of red lions that he uses to keep the water off of him bc it's more like a tarp than a blanket. Snuggles are inevitable.

While I am a fan of the wolf bloodline, I do get why depictions of it may undermine the importance of found family. I think it's a very valid criticism to point out that it may sometimes put forward the idea that blood family is more valid than an adopted family which could be unsavory, though I doubt that's ever the intention of the authors/ creators. I think that family is a fascinating topic with all these guys who grew up in vastly different but still quite lonely circumstances.

I love it when aspects like items and spells and stories from the other games are shared between the links and utilized to show how vast and different their experiences are. Aside from hookshots, nearly all of them have those bastards.

I mean, anytime people legitimize game mechanics into plot stuff it can be interpreted in different ways so I don't think that 'all of them come back from the dead' is a bad take lol, I think people fixate on Wild specifically with this kind of thing because it is implied he's already died and gone through the whole resurrection thing but more long term, and if that could've just been fixed with a fairy then the entire 100-year sleep just wouldn't have been needed. So it poses the question of if fairies really can bring a link back from the dead. But now I'm rambling...

I'm completely on the side of 'they all meet up in the afterlife as the timelines are assumed to have converged at some point before botw, and it wouldn't mess up the timelines if they just meet up after a few thousand years of waiting. I like the idea that they're watching and rooting for each other. That they've never been alone and there were always some of their brothers watching over them. (I also like to think that Wild caught a glimpse of them when he was placed in the shrine of resurrection)

Like, I have scrolled past many a post without interacting with it. Sometimes I've even scrolled past posts that I want to interact with but am simply having a bout of executive dysfunction for whatever reason. There've also been many, many, many times (practically every time honestly) in which I do not reach the end of my dash by the end of the day and countless posts are lost to the whims of time because of it. And yeah, people will try to make us feel guilty for that. People who are hurting will especially try to make us feel guilty for that. There is post after post after post after post on this website demonizing people who don't comment or reblog for "ruining fandom." But those posts aren't being fair. Those posts are just coming from people who are hurting.

The truth is that life just be like this sometimes.

Regarding the other thing you said, I am well aware people follow me for a variety of interests! I know that not everyone shares my interest in horrifying atrocities against trainwreck villains, and that's fabulously okay with me. :) I like having differing dimensions and moods and places to exist. It's good for rainy days like today! Classes dragged on and then it was lunchtime, the time when history gets written because nothing sane ever happens during lunchtime.

Oikawa was busy with his fangirls and surprisingly, Makki was separated from his darling Mattsun and Hajime was struck with a dumb plan that would probably rival the likes of that chibi-chan from Karasuno (Kageyama-kun vents a lot sometimes, Hajime's learnt to deal with it). 

And so, for the first time in his life, Iwaizumi Hajime was going to do something he’s never done before (and hopefully never will again)— tell Mattsun about his dumb idea and ask him for help.

Asking Mattsun had its own set of risks. Hajime knows for a fact that anything that Mattsun knows, Makki knows it too, by default. Ergo, if he does tell his idea to Mattsun, Makki would know. Then again, his friends might be assholes, but they’re never deliberately cruel; moreover, as long as Oikawa isn’t told anything, Hajime literally couldn’t care any less.

If Oikawa needs to know anything, he would hear it from my mouth, or he wouldn't hear it at all. This thought ringing in his head, Hajime determined to get this done with.

Once and for all.

“Oi,” Hajime gruffly called out. “I have an idea and I need you to talk me out of it.”

Mattsun didn’t gasp out dramatically, true, but he was close. He lazily turned towards Hajime, an interested twinkle in his eye, “Don’t hold out on me, Iwaizumi.”

Hajime regretted telling Mattsun anything, but he knew the saying ‘you made your bed, so lay in it’ and decided to dig a deeper hole for himself. 

God, this is fucking embarrassing. “I like someone and I was thinking about writing…love notes for them because I can.”

The other boy was seconds away from laughing, not that he’d ever tell Iwaizumi that. 

And here I was, thinking he had a better chance of realisation than Kyotani-kun— but never mind that, Issei has a friend to help out.

“Okay. How are you going to do it? Where? When? Fill me in with the details.”

Hajime was surprised at how easily Mattsun seemed to be taking this in stride with minimal intrusiveness, but continued, “I was thinking I’d just drop it in h- their bag or something, they’ll get to read it later. Or whatever.”

“I just had this wild thought, Iwaizumi.”

“What.”

“Why don’t you just declare your undying love for him? Face to face?”

“Him? What? I didn’t-”

“Save it Iwa-chan. The entire team except Captain himself knows. For God’s sake, we’ve been placing bets on you two getting it on for two years now.”

Hajime was shocked, in the least. He knew for a fact that he wasn’t too obvious with his affections (oh, who was he kidding? He was head over heels in love with the other boy) because Oikawa wasn’t dense; but for the entire team to be aware of it all? That was a scary prospect. 

Hajime soldiered on, “That’s...besides the point. Right now, I want you to tell me that whatever I’m thinking is a bad idea and stop me from doing it.”

Mattsun looked sorry. Hajime hated that look. 

“Look man, what’s the worst that could happen if you write notes for Oikawa? You’d be awkward for two days, then go back to your chummy selves? Now, think about the best thing that could happen. You and Oikawa could be together— best friends to lovers arc— who, i don't know, adopt chickens and play volleyball till the end of time. There’s nothing to lose, Iwaizumi. You won’t lose anything.”

Trust me on that, Issei silently pleaded.

To be honest, he still doesn’t know why he is so devoted to knowing about his best friends’ love lives, but Issei has a fleeting thought that it’s most probably because of the lack of romance and Hiro in his life.

“I have so many questions right now, starting from the arc shit to the chickens, but fuck all that. What was it again? Lack of what?” Iwaizumi grinned and Issei pouted. Nearly. The look on Iwa’s face said that seeing Issei in such a state has lifted his rather sombre mood.

“Please tell me I did not say that out loud.”

Another voice that sounded suspiciously like Hiro’s answered, “You did say it out loud. Issei, darling, do you have any idea how long I’ve wanted to know if you feel the same as I do?”

Issei couldn’t believe his ears.

“What?”

Hajime looked positively invested, his usually tired eyes gleaming in the knowledge that his two other best friends can no longer use plausible deniability and run from their feelings. Or whatever.

“What do you mean ‘what’?” Hajime teased, not hiding his excitement. “You heard the guy. He likes you, you like him, now go on a fucking date.”

Issei mentally groaned. That damn drama addict, he and Captain are meant for each other.

Issei faced Hiro and hesitantly asked, “You...like me? Really?”

Why isn't it that easy for me to tell Oikawa? There's also the fact that I've known that dumbass for years, so how hard can it be? It's high time I did something about this.

Thus resolving to go ahead with his idea, Hajime went looking for Oikawa, knowing that he wouldn't have had his lunch yet, that lovable idiot.

Y'know the bnha fandom is annoying but it's 99% bc of the bigoted, sexist, mysogynistic fucks there. Not gay shippers. They make that 1% but literally any fandom has that, so it's not like it's anything new or unique to bnha.

And what i find worse, is all of that bigotry gets a bunch of people to believe bnha is a bigoted story as well. But it's all deflected by outsiders getting mad at gay shippers.

Like, you can say stuff abt Hori's writting, but i'm pretty sure he never went out of his way to affirm this hatred, and it pains me when people get on to putting words on his mouth and acting like it's a fact.

Every time I hear "BNHA fandom is toxic" I think of several things...

Don't act as if your fandom is any better

Every fandom has those toxic people

If you are constantly surrounded by toxicity GET FROM AROUND IT

People be acting so brand new, it annoys me.

Especially people outside of fandoms.

Once, I got someone in the Stranger Things fandom reblog a Bakugou post of mine, thinking they were cute being a troll and I blocked them. Checked their blog out and they had NOTHING pertaining to BNHA, NOTHING.

I forgot what they said but it was enough to piss me off. Look, I deal with enough idiots within the fandom, I don't need your dumb ass.

It just surprises me people think BNHA is the first and only fandom to act chaotic. Acting like ship wars is something the BNHA fandom made up.

Ooooh, not long after that incident, I witness a ship war in the Stranger Things fandom through the blogs I follow. I never been so quick to dip out and write that day.

People don't find it strange that gay shippers often get blamed? It doesn't click that it's easy for gay shippers to get blamed? Do you really think that people who draw and write their ships are gonna say something outrageous just so they get people mad at them? No one thinks it's the homophobic asshole wanting to cause a problem because they don't like gay ships so they're blaming the shippers? Or the misogynist jerk who believes women should have a certain role in society so they bash the female characters who seem "not like a woman" to them? Or how about the racist who tends to talk over fans of color because they don't want those fans to be heard because HELLO THEY'RE RACIST?!

Like people, open your damn eyes!!!

I also think cultural differences play a part in the stupidity of how people act in fandoms.

I need certain fucking people to understand that something that may seem strange to you may be something normal somewhere else. That doesn't mean you, the damn outsider, speak over and bash the person who knows more about their own culture than you do.

There is a language barrier there, so instead of this whole entitled "I'm right because I don't understand you" attitude, I need people to actually get out that stupid bubble and try to understand. Not just for Horikoshi, but for anybody.

Example, the Christmas episode. The part where Eri was confused about the holidays and she pulled out the beans and say "in sickness and in health", I was confused. Of course, I was. I'm not native to Japan nor am I an expert on Japanese culture. But instead of "That's even a real holiday, blah blah", I read up on it and found out something I didn't know.

So simple, so easy! I rather at least be aware next time than to be like "that's not something I know so therefore it's not important and it's stupid".

Overall, I hope you folks can hear me sighing loudly, people need to stop relying on hearsay. In fact, just stop altogether because a lot of people in fandoms really be doing too much for me.

From these damn ship wars to "Horikoshi said this" *insert nonexistent statement/statement made up by someone else because they're fucking stupid and want to cause drama* to the audacity to be entitled I just want to punch a wall or something. This is why I don't go into certain spaces and block people.
