Glamorous Mishaps

Based on this post. I thought it be best to put my examples about Optimus Prime's mishap with glamour here since they're more story oriented. There will be three involving OCs of mine as I got other ideas for Self Insert. Now let's get started!

Transformers Prime: Oil and Sugar

Optimus Prime was a being of habit. It is quite rare to see him leave the base, much less rest. His current outing was one of those unique times as curiosity led the Autobot to explore Jasper. Optimus didn't mean to bump into the strange woman and knock the pastries from her arms. Nor find out why she smells like a rabbit.

First example is my rabbit yaoguai Tikki Cho, owner of the therapeutic Sweet Healing Bakery. A kindhearted motherly woman who prefers not to fight and settle issues peacefully. It doesn't mean Tikki will let people walk over her as the rabbit can suplex someone like Optimus in seconds.

She had recently settled into Jasper to open her bakery when our dear Prime enters the scene. Optimus decides to help Tikki set up shop mainly as an apology for his less than stellar greeting. The two become great friends with the Autobot Leader visiting in holoform whenever he can.

It's all fine and dandy until Megatron returns. A Vehicon attack forces Optimus Prime to reveal his true nature and take Tikki to base. Funnily enough, no one expected the human woman to become a big fluffy rabbit!

Optimus Prime: You aren't human?

Tikki Cho: I guess both of us had a secret, dear.

Here's what to expect!

Therapy for everyone! You can bet your ass Tikki is gonna get both bots and humans to healthily process trauma. If she happens to give sessions to some Decepticons, they consented.

Cybertronians underestimate the rabbit baker. It's all fun and games until the bunny kicks your bearings with boulder shattering strength. Or throw your metallic ass into a mountain as if a purse.

Bumbling mess Optimus Prime. Man clearly doesn't get enough positive affection and he has no idea how to properly react. He tends to blue screen as one hug from Tikki solidifies how touch starved he really is.

Sacred paperweight and eldritch Satan are afraid of a bakery owner. Breakdown quits cause "bunnies are better and fuck everyone except Knockdown". Deception Leader has misinterpreted jealousy fueled hate against Optimus' ward.

Transformers Animated: Don't Stop The Beat

It's very rare to find a shop in Detroit's mechanical central not run by a robot. Yet Koro Beats proudly stands booming with prosperous music selections. Although the shop owner would never expect her secret to become uncovered by a humble 'dropout'.

Here's our second OC guest, Kororo. A feisty and extremely blunt Deku Scrub who dislikes Hylia for taking away her god son Link. She left her world to set up shop in the TFAverse years before the events of the show began.

Kororo used to babysit Sari for Isaac and only the young girl knows about her true form. An involvement that leads to the Deku Scrub becoming entangled in the Autobots' lives during the search for Sari. She would honestly say it was like someone dumped three extra kids, an inexperienced young adult and a grumpy grandpa on her.

Kororo becomes Optimus' emotional support as it's clear he needs a friend around his age. Things turn out fine until Black Arachnia accidentally wreaks havoc with the All Spark. Kororo drops her human mask before Optimus and helps him save Sari.

Optimus Prime: Kororo, you're a small...tree person?

Kororo: Finally! Someone who doesn't mistake me for a dummy!

What to expect:

Autobots have a one Deku Scrub pep squad ready to throw hands. Sentinel Prime and Ultra Magnus are intimidated by this small tree woman as magic bubbles fired like bullets HURT. No one berates Optimus Prime with Kororo around.

Sari tries to parent trap music store owner with a giant robot. Both are so damn confused about the constant weird shenanigans happening. Ratchet puts a stop to it because one trap left him in an ugly yellow paint job.

"How To Accidentally Adopt Decepticons by a still confused Deku Scrub." Being nice to one Con having a bad day becomes a domino effect. Megatron and Starscream are so bewildered about the sudden decrease in numbers.

When your missing god son shows up at the door with your lost mask trapped deity friend. Link wonders how he suddenly got adopted into a family like this but doesn't mind. Optimus Prime somehow becomes a ward to a forgotten war god. More at 11.

Transformers Knightverse: Steel Magnolias

A shrine surrounded by roses. Optimus had been plague by the visage despite never encountering such a place. As he searches for clues about his scout's on this strange planet, Prime would stumble across a mysterious entity living secretly amongst the unaware humans.

The final OC for this glamour based mishaps, Rose Elysium or Rosa for short. An wandering emissary of chaos who travels dimensions searching for wonders. She only aids those that proves themselves worthy or gather her curiosity.

Optimus Prime stumbles across Rosa by sheer accident as he searches for Bumblebee. He constantly encounters the mysterious woman who helps him bit by bit whether it be his search or a companion to talk to. Only when the Autobot leader ends up in the wrong place at the wrong time does Rosa shed her mortal disguise to help him.

Optimus Prime: Are you an angel from human mythology?

Rosa: I may angelic but I am far from a simple angel.

What To Expect:

Million year old war veteran is claimed by an ancient eldritch entity. Those that earn Rosa's friendship or interest become her wards. No one should dare touch the claim of the divine as a fate worse than death awaits them.

Optimus Prime becomes accustom to seeing roses on a daily basis. A bed of flowers is more comfortable than the cold hard floor. Even a Prime needs his beauty sleep and Rosa is happy to provide it.

Optimus' helm is a perch for chaos emissaries and susceptible to hugs. Rosa is nice enough to cover his optics or audials when someone's about to do something stupid. He can finally be childish for once without breaking his 'Prime air'.

Tired dad of three kids now has a caretaker to help manage them. Mirage definitely started calling Rosa 'mom' and it quickly spreads. He also tries to ship her with Optimus like the gremlin he is. Bumblebee helps much to bossbot's future horror as they will enact the Parent Trap scheme. (Side story.)

And that's it! I thought about just doing only Transformers Prime for all three but decided not to since every iteration deserves love. As for ships, those will stay in side stories mainly because some readers rather read fics without romance being in the way.

To Build A Home

Lord Megatron, former ruler of the Decepticons, was the least graceful sleeper Optimus Magnus had ever seen.

It was something the prideful mech would insist was false with crossed arms and red cheeks if anyone were bold enough to bring it to his attention, but Optimus knew it was true, as he’d seen it enough times to have the sight and sound of his sparkmate’s rest burned into his processor; the obnoxiously loud snoring that somehow lulled Optimus into recharge, the sliver of drool falling from in between the larger mech’s thin, rough lips, which were parted from how his cheek was smushed up against the pillow, the way he cuddled said pillow under his helm with strong arms and talked to it in his sleep like it was Optimus himself...

It was beautiful, he thought, and that’s why he never dared bring it up to his lover.

No, he never brought it up. Instead, he’d get up and get ready for the day ahead of him, standing from the bed and giving Megatron one last glance. The Decepticon would be covered with their large blanket, that of which he always hogged for himself, optical ridge twitching awkwardly as he dreamt. The sun that creeped in through their cracked blinds reflected off of the gunmetal grey of his armor perfectly, highlighting the apex of his cheeks and the way his optical lashes fluttered against them. 

Optimus sighed, already chilly and missing the warmth of his conjunx, even if the warlord wasn’t much of a snuggler on his own- no, in the depths of his recharge, despite loving physical touch when he was awake, he’d roll over to the corner of the berth and hit and kick around in his sleep due to his nightmares, not wanting anything to do with the Magnus. All Optimus would do was hug him through it, wake him up if it got particularly bad, but it often resulted in his own recharge being disturbed. He never mentioned it.

Maybe, if he got off early that night, he’d be able to convince Megatron to lay off training for once and just... Hold him for a few breems. Yeah, that sounded really nice. Optimus’s work day hadn’t even started yet, but he found that he was already getting distracted by fantasies of him and his bondmate being able to just exist and be close to each other without having to worry about work.

No, Optimus thought. He had to hurry up and get to the Steelhaven before his morning meeting started... He’d spent so much time admiring Megatron that he only had about a half hour left before he had to be there, so he tried to move especially fast, catching a glance at himself in the mirror to make sure he looked somewhat presentable before rushing into their kitchen and getting out a cannister of liquid energon and a pan. After pouring the energon into the pan and putting it on high heat, he opened one of the kitchen drawers and grabbed a sticky note, a pen, and Megatron’s favorite mug- a large, ceramic one from earth that Optimus had bought and decorated himself for the warlord. All three items were set on the kitchen counter, the mug making a soft clink as it collided with marble. 

The energon began to boil as Optimus scrawled out a few spare sentences on the sticky note with his pen and pressed the top of it against the side of the mug so it would stick; ‘Good morning, lovely. Hope you slept well. When I woke up this morning, I stared at you for a bit longer than I should’ve, unable to help but admire how the sun reflects off of you so beautifully, but as bright as it shines, your optics always seem to shine brighter. I can’t wait to see them when you get home tonight. If you’re reading this, I’ve probably just left for my meeting with the newly appointed council members. Give me a ring if you need anything. Sincerely, with lots of love- your Optimus.’

With that, Optimus measured out the flavoring powder that Megatron preferred cooked into his morning energon; an ungodly amount of vanilla with a touch of chamomile, both of which had been developed by Isaac Sumdac on earth as a gift for their conjunx ritus ceremony- or, as the humans would call it, their wedding.

“Ah, let’s see... Four parts energon, one part flavoring, so what is that... A cup of each? He does always need a lot of fuel when he has those late meetings,” Optimus murmured to himself, always unsure if he was doing it right, even if it had been a few months now. 

Still, he went through with what he thought were accurate measurements and poured the flavoring in. Using one of the nearby spoons, he stirred the boiling energon and watched as the cream-hued powders were cooked in, dyeing the hot pink liquid a much lighter shade of rose.

When he figured it was done, he turned the stove off, poured the energon into the waiting mug, and cleaned up before turning with the hot drink gripped in his servos and taking it back to their bedroom. As he tip-toed back into the room to see Megatron still in a deep recharge, he gave a dopey grin, spark swelling up in his chamber. The urge to just crawl back into bed with his lover and stay there forever nearly took over his processor, but he managed to push it away and set the mug with the note on their nightstand before turning and leaving.

Careful to avoid making noise, the Magnus crept through their large abode and made it to their entryway to get everything ready for the work day; his Magnus hammer in one servo, a bag full of data tablets, energon rations, and supplies slung over his shoulder, their house alarm reset- just in case, because even though it had been a few years since the peace that was made between the Decepticons and the Autobots, tensions were still high, and their home had been attacked enough times for him to be particularly anal about home security.

It was odd, how much things had changed in such a short amount of time; five years, and their lives had been turned upside down in the best way possible. The Decepticons and Autobots had finally made peace after Ultra Magnus’s retirement, making a long and detailed peace treaty that both parties had tried to follow, with a few arranged cross-faction bondings, including Optimus and Megatron- the Autobot High Council’s idea.

Little did the council know at the time that Megatron and Optimus had been maintaining a secret relationship since their time on earth, and that an arranged bonding was exactly the opportunity they’d been waiting for. Now, they’d been bonded and living together for a couple months, and those two months had been spent with the two of them working tirelessly to maintain peace as co-rulers, Optimus representing the Autobots and Megatron representing the Decepticons. Meetings, negotiations, treaties, bills, contracts... Both of them had been far too busy to spend any quality time together recently, their schedules conflicting greatly at times, but Optimus knew it was worth it, because eventually, there would come a day where tensions were low and things had calmed down enough for them to finally build a normal home together and have sparklings of their own because of their efforts.

Optimus sighed, shaking his helm to snap himself out of his thoughts and resting his spare servo on the front doorknob, only for his exit to be interrupted.

“Good morning, my love.”

“Hey...” Optimus turned with a small smile to face Megatron, whose arms were around his waist, chin resting on one of his shoulder plates. He’d been so deep in thought that he hadn’t even heard the grey and maroon mech coming. “You’re awake already?”

“Unfortunately,” The Decepticon mumbled, breath reeking of vanilla and chamomile as he leaned sideways to leave a trail of slow, sloppy kisses along the sharp line of Optimus’s jaw. His optics were bleary with dark grey bags. A yawn came from his mouth before he continued. “I saw your note. Thank you.”

“Ah, I see... I’m glad you drank it before it got cold. You should go back to bed and get some rest. Your first meeting of the day isn’t for another two mega-cycles, and you look exhausted.”

“Hm...” Megatron started, as if in thought, holding Optimus closer to him. The Magnus sighed and set his bag down on the ground. He already knew what was coming, because every once in a while, Megatron would catch him and try to convince him to stay home for the day right when he was getting ready to go to work, and every time, Optimus got a little closer to giving in, but he never did. “Why don’t you come back to bed with me? From my understanding, you have a terrible virus, so we need to quarantine together for the next solar cycle.”

“Oh, is that so? A terrible virus?” Optimus chuckled and leaned his Magnus hammer back against the wall. Megatron continued to kiss up and down his jaw, and then his neck, followed by his shoulders, and the red and blue bot shuddered at the warmth of it. “What is this terrible virus you speak of?”

“I, erm...” Megatron stammered and held him even tighter. “I need to cuddle with my neglected conjunx virus?”

“Neglected? I see you’re as dramatic as always, sweetspark.”

“You’ve been working on that new bill nonstop recently,” It was true, and Optimus knew it; he hadn’t recharged or fueled properly in days, too occupied with a new bill that would have council members elected by the public once a decivorn and cycled out instead of given life-long terms by the current Magnus. Obviously, the old council members, who got paid an ungodly amount and found themselves comfortable in their cushy positions, were fighting the bill tooth and nail. They’d been at a standstill for so long that Optimus was sure he was going to have to get the citizens of Cybertron involved. “I always try to wait up for you, but I never succeed because you don’t get home until the crack of dawn, only to leave just a mega-cycle or two later. You’re overworked and exhausted, I can see it in your optics, and I... I miss you. I miss you a lot.”

“I miss you, too,” Optimus frowned and relented with a small smile. He should’ve gone to work and he knew that- this was too important to pass up, but at the same time, their advisors, Ratchet and Shockwave, would fill in for them just fine, and a mere three days wasn’t too much... “Oh, dear... It seems you’re right. I’m coming down with a terrible cough all of a sudden.”

“Then let me nurse you back to health, my dearest love,” Megatron’s tone was filled with joy, victory, something that Optimus found himself laughing at as he was quickly picked up bridal style and carried back to their bedroom. “I’ll call in for you in a little while.”

“Thank you,” Optimus grinned. He was tossed onto the bed, only given enough time to bounce up a bit before Megatron was joining him, the two mechs cuddling in the middle of the mattress. “You’re the best, you know that?”

“I’ve been told... Now hurry and catch up on some rest, my love. I’ll be here when you wake.”

“Alright,” Optimus leaned into Megatron’s servo, which was currently cupping his cheek. “But you better recharge, too. I love you. Sleep well and have sweet dreams.”

“You, too.”

And with that, Optimus Magnus allowed his optics to flutter shut, completely unaware that when he fell asleep, Megatron would be watching him with nothing but adoration etched into his features. As he slipped into sweet dreams and a much needed rest, a dreamy sigh would come from Megatron as the Magnus allowed gentle vents in and out of his body, lips parting delicately and servos pushing the blanket away to grab onto the grey and maroon mech for warmth instead.

It was beautiful, Megatron thought, and that’s why he never dared bring it up to his lover.

No, he never brought it up. Instead, he’d pull the blanket to cover Optimus Magnus fully and press a gentle kiss against the resting bot’s forehead, thanking whatever God that had given him someone so gorgeous to build his home- no, his entire life with before cuddling up to his sparkmate and going into a much less graceful recharge of his own.

“No,” Gideon said, because she was the worst. “What the fuck?”

Or: Harrowhark Nonagesimus is the youngest editor ever to run the Ninth House publishing company. But when Harrow violates the terms of her work visa, her only way to retain her job is to marry a US citizen— and who better than her assistant, Gideon Nav?

Okay, listen. This is a really good fic, and that’s not just my fondness for romance novel tropes talking! Harrow is characterized very well, and I feel like the author really nailed the space in between her prickliness and bad attitude and her softer parts, you know? It’s VERY well written so far.

Dulcinea arrived at Canaan House ready to attain immortality. Cytherea was stuck with Mercymorn, trying to convince her sister Lyctor to help her crush the students at Canaan House. As the two women begin their collision course, there’s no telling who will come out on top: the woman, or the Lyctor.

Another of the “absolute must read” fics! I absolutely adore “no lyctor interference” aus of Canaan House, and this one really nails Dulcie’s voice and has this like, fun layer of ironic comedy that I love. I think I’ve read this one like four times now.

They won’t let her help, but the young Reverend Daughter is willing to bargain.

Abigail cares so much it hurts, honestly. This is the FUN HAPPY AU where she gets to be the mom she deserves to be to ALL the kids.

Gideon, who had never had dignity before in her life, was taking a detour through giddiness on her way to fear. She was also already on top of the table.

Duck Newton sat up, his eyes wide. “Something terrible’s gonna happen,” he whispered. He looked out the window of the break lodge, but couldn’t see any of the campers. Ominous. He couldn’t hear Barry screaming, because tag with Magnus is like being chased by a bloodhound. In fact, there was a lack of screaming in general. Doubly ominous.

He looked at Davenport, the gnome who was in charge of the overall kid-watching. He was sound asleep, which was unsurprising considering that there were twelve kids that he was responsible for basically 24/7.

Duck stood, yawning. What are the campers supposed to be doing right now? Of course, he thought with a wry smile, what they’re supposed to be doing has little to do with what they’re actually up to. The troubled nature counselor walked over to the schedule that Lucretia had printed out for the staff lodge. He scanned the paper until he found today’s date.

“Nature With Merle,” Duck read aloud. “Dammit.”

Nature with Merle was not at all like Nature with Duck Newton. When Duck Newton did nature stuff, he taught the campers things like survival skills, using trees to figure out if it’s going to rain, and forest safety.

Merle had a different approach to nature than the forest ranger did. He was more relaxed in all his activities than Duck. Of course, when referring to Merle’s teaching style, relaxed meant that several hours after the end of an activity, someone found Magnus in a cave, wrestling with a grizzly bear. Relaxed meant that Aubrey and Lup could walk off and start some terrible project that involved fire outside of a designated pit. Relaxed meant that Brian found a huge fuck-you spider, adopted it, christened it Spider Bryan, and then disappeared into the forest that surrounded Camp Faerun.

After that particular incident, Duck had confronted Merle about his “relaxed” counselor style.

“Listen,” Duck had said. “I wasn’t real excited about Magnus wrestling that bear, and I was even less a fan of Aubrey and Lup starting’ a fire, but now Brian fuckin’ left the camp, which is a whole other issue. You fucking lost a camper.”

Merle had looked bored. “Nah.”

“What?”

“I didn’t lose Brian.”

“Well then what the fuck do you call what happened to Brian?”

“I didn’t lose him, per say. He ran away with his big spider friend, and I just happened to be around at the time. He’s not a cell phone that I put down, and can no longer recall the location of.”

“But he went missing! He is no longer at the camp! And we have NO FUCKING CLUE WHERE HE IS!” Duck Newton had yelled, massaging his temples in exasperation.

The conversation had ended there, but a week later Jake Coolice told Mama that Isaac called to say that Brian was across the lake at Camp Villa.

Despite the outcome of Brian not being dead somewhere in the woods, when Duck Newton saw that Nature with Merle was the scheduled activity, it basically confirmed his suspicions; something terrible was about to happen.

Duck Newton was torn. On the one hand, he wanted to prevent whatever horrible crisis that was undoubtedly about to unfold. On the other hand, he was on break, and there were plenty of other staff members that could, in theory, deal with this. They won’t, but he could pretend, right?

After a brief internal struggle, Duck’s desire to prevent a forest fire outweighed his desire to vegetate inside the staff lodge, so he put on his hat, grabbed a CB, and left, being careful not to slam the door so as not to wake Davenport up.

Once outside, he turned the CB to channel 1, the channel that all staff were supposed to be tuned in to. “Break-01 to nature,” he said into the CB. He waited for 30 seconds of no response before trying again. “Break-01 to nature.”

After a few more seconds, he heard a crackle. He could hear nothing but static crackling for a few moments on the other end before actual words came through.

“Hi, welcome to Chili’s,” came Taako’s voice before he dissolved into hysterical laughter.

Duck snorted in spite of himself. He turned his CB back on. “Break-01 to nature,” he repeated.

“This is nature, go ahead,” Lucretia said through the CB.

“Hey, this is Duck. What’s your location?”

“We just finished our hike to Goldcliff Falls, and are currently resting at the top.”

“Is Merle with you at the moment?” Duck hopped into the Green Machine, and began driving to Goldcliff Falls. There was a moment’s silence, and Duck repeated his question.

“Yeah, sorry about that, Merle’s… uh... indisposed at the moment.”

Duck’s brows furrowed. “What does that mean?”

“It means that Merle is being a dirty weirdo!” Lup said into the CB.

“Yeah!” Aubrey put in. “He’s fucking a plant!”

“What?” Duck asked, bewildered. “Also language,” he reprimanded without thinking. He heard a chorus of cursing on the other end of the CB and sighed defeatedly.

“I’m sorry, they wrestled the CB away from me, but they were actually telling the truth,” Lucretia said. “We have moved away from Merle, because he is being inappropriate with the honeysuckle.”

Duck massaged one of his temples with his free hand. “Alright, I-” He sighed. “I guess, just, stay where you are, I’m gonna meet you there. Duck Newton out.”

“Okay, will do. Nature out.”

Duck took a deep breath. As he drove down the road, he stared hard at the tree line. Where is it? He wondered. As he searched, a small dark green flag tied to a bush with “R&R” written in silver sharpie marker caught his eye. There it is.

He stopped the Green Machine, and turned the camp car towards the flag. He drove into the forest, getting a mouthful of leaves in the process. “Gross,” he muttered, spitting out a twig.

Seconds later, the ground became slightly less bumpy, and the camp car broke through to the illegal race track. Another counselor, Sloane had built it, and Lieutenant Hurley had secretly helped her cut through the trees.

Duck didn’t like it, but he had turned a blind eye to it. Luckily for him, the track came out right at Goldcliff Falls, so unsafe as the race track might be, it was convenient at the moment.

He got another mouthful of leaves, but then he was out of the woods, zooming towards the edge of the cliff. Duck slammed on the brakes, and the camp car screeched to a halt. He hopped out and walked over to the group of campers standing nearby.

Lucretia looked up. "Hello, Duck," she said. "Thanks for coming here to help me out." Lucretia paused. "Hold on, aren't you on Me Time right now?"

Duck nodded. "Yeah I am, but you aren't legally allowed to be left alone with campers, so I figured that I should pick up the kids."

Lup looked at Duck. "It's also illegal for you to be spending time with campers while you're on Me Time because of working laws and shit, but go off I guess."

Duck sighed while simultaneously stifling a snort. "Listen. I'd rather get in trouble with Mama and Council because I was making sure that an adult was present than have the camp dealing with a lawsuit for neglect."

Magnus tapped Duck's head and Duck looked up at him. "So, what're we gonna do next?" Magnus asked.

Aubrey raised a hand. "Free time. I vote we have free time instead of the Nature activities."

Lup held up a hand for a fist bump. "I second that plan. Free time sounds cool."

"I hate nature after watching Merle dirty talk the plant; I would rather not have anything to do with it," Taako put in.

"We could chase down mountain lions, then bring them back to camp and teach them to be nice, like pets or something. That'd be fun."

"Magnus, there aren’t any mountain lions near Camp Faerun-" Barry began.

"Oh." His head drooped.

"-But we do have coyotes in the area."

"Hell yeah! Thanks Barold. Gotta go, the coyotes are waiting!"

Before Duck could stop him, Magnus had run off into the woods. Duck held up a hand hopelessly before turning to look at Barry accusingly.

Barry shrugged. "I can get the rest of them out of your hair too, if you'd prefer that."

Duck shut his eyes, counted to ten, and reopened them. "Hey Barry, do you know what time it is?" Duck asked hopefully.

"10:30," Barry said, glancing at his watch. "Why do you ask?"

Duck put his head in his hands despairingly. "Today’s gonna be a long day, isn’t it?"

Barry nodded. “Probably.”

You know sometimes I like to challenge myself.

How to Play

This reading challenge consists of 3 sections. Fantasy, Sci-Fi and General for a total of 52 prompts which comes down to about 1 book a week.

 You can do 1, 2 or all 3 sections.

With each section you are allowed 1 Double-Up. Double-Up means you can use 1 book for 2 prompts. Preferred is not to at all but if for some reason you are struggling with time or a prompt you can.

In the general sections you can use both fantasy and sci-fi books but not other genres.

Graphic novels, comics, audiobooks and novella’s are allowed. It is all reading in my book.

Rereads count.

You can move the books around throughout the year if things fit better elsewhere and all.

You can step into this reading challenge at any point. I’m starting it in January 2019 but in reality this is a reading challenge you can fit for yourself in anyway you like. If you want to start in May and end April the year after, that is totally fine.

This is another case where saying Slytherin is just too easy lol. But ambition is such an important trait of his. But I do think he has a very Gryffindor temperament at some points lol. So I’m a little divided. It’d come down to what he’d choose during the Sorting, and I’m not even fully sure of that because a lot of the characters he picks as faves can go either way too lol.

best quality: he’s whip-smart and he can turn any situation to his advantage worst quality: he’s a lying liar who lies lol.ship them with: SCOTTIE, Katrina, Samantha, Alex, Rachel, Paula, Jessica... it comes down to ANYONE BUT DONNA OR MIKE, GET THEM AWAY FROM HIM LOL.brotp them with: Louis and Robert.needs to stay away from: Donna and Mike are fucking creeps.misc. thoughts: I kinda love that he’s back to being a gunslinger instead of managing partner tbh. It’s truer to who he is and it gives him more room to be on the offensive again. I missed that.

Hmm. She’s another character where I could hear an argument for any House tbh (btw: I think Shadowhunter militaristic culture is extremely skewed into producing Gryffindors, but that’s another story lol), but those two are the ones I prefer for her tbh. She has certain intellectual hunger that seems to be just for the sake of it, instead of with a goal in mind, and the way she goes about winning people over/using their relationship with her (or others) to achieve her missions strikes me as kinda Slytherin.

best quality: she’s so damn full of life and joy and charisma. She’s too good for what she gets tbh.worst quality: lack of ambition and drive to be #1.ship them with: Raphael, Jonathan, Meliorn (& Raphael as ot3), Victor, Charlie a little, maybe Maia and Aline. Sometimes even Simon.brotp them with: Alec, sometimes Jace. needs to stay away from: Clary. That relationship does her no good and I’m tired of seeing her playing cheerleader to others. Tbh I have (had?) issues with her relationship with Magnus, on both ends (Isabelle was clearly willing to use Magnus’ love for Alec for their own ends and I loathe to see her play cheerleader to that ship too).misc. thoughts: I hope that at the very least, her relationship with Simon is used to bring back on full focus her issues with addiction, because that storyline was literally the only time she was written for herself tbh.

The Argents are one of the most Gryffindor motherfuckers ever okay. I have a lot of thoughts about how certain upbringings are more likely to bring Gryffindors, as I said above, and this is one of those cases lol. 

best quality: she always put herself back together, marched ahead, and dared the rest of the world to catch up with her.worst quality: her need to prove herself and handle things on her own lead to her death, so.ship them with: Scott, Derek, Erica, Boyd, Isaac, Jackson, Marin, Peter (yeah whatevs. I like fucked up things assholes). I used to ship her with Lydia and Stiles too, but that’s soured from then because I Blame Stiles For Everything lol. I also have an insane amount of polyships in this show, back in s1-3a where I loooooved almost everything about it lol. Allison/Derek/Scott was the main one.brotp them with: Kate, Chris. Used to with Lydia and Stiles too.needs to stay away from: I mean, distance from the likes of Victoria and Gerard would’ve been good for her, but I loved those relationships too.misc. thoughts: one day I’ll finish the resurrection fic (with that Allison/Derek/Scott ot3 I mentioned, but also Allison/everyone Because) that’s been on my backups for years lol.
