I saw a post the other day about “the Portal renaissance” basically about how new people consistently come into the fanbase due to Portal 2 going on sale on Steam every so often. That’s probably the actual explanation for a whole lotta people, but that wasn’t for me, and it got me thinking about my introduction to it. So I decided it would be fun for me to reflect on the story of how I discovered it, and then post about it because blebityblehbleh parasocial strangers’ approval blibbityblooblah
Tumblr media
In 2017, Lego Dimensions sets started showing up at 99 cent stores. I was 15, and I still liked legos but I knew how expensive they were so I always looked for bargains. I really wanted the Jurassic World set, but I never found it. I still got quite a few, and one in particular sorta stuck with me.
Tumblr media
The other sets all ended up used in miscellaneous ways for like brick built dinosaurs and transformers and stuff, but I decided to keep the cube and Chell built. Every so often I’d look at them, they lived on a shelf with my lego clone troopers, and I’d think “I should look up what those come from, it seems pretty cool” but because I was a dumb ass adhd teenager I never got around to it.
Tumblr media
Then in 2020 I discovered RTgame’s YouTube channel through his Minecraft videos, he was my #1 fav channel for a few months, so I started working through his backlog. My favorite videos were the ones where he played with CallMeKevin, so I looked for those videos specifically and found out they played Portal 2, that thing that the lego things were from! So I watched it, and it looked fun and stuff, I liked the robots and the sci fi aesthetic, but through the screams of these Irish idiots I heard snippets of the most heavenly voice that ever graced my ears.
And something in my gay little brain just clicked and I just needed to hear her more.
Tumblr media
Luckily, this video popped up in my recommendations thanks to raniel and kev, and it gave me fucking hives, and I became a GLaDOS junkie
I started eyeing the fandom from afar, but I very rarely ventured outside my niche, that being Portal 2 GLaDOS voice line compilations on YouTube. If I ever needed cheering up or had trouble sleeping I listened to her, I didn’t need any context because she was funny and had the most radiant beautiful voice I ever heard, and it stayed that way for a while.
Tumblr media
I built a lego glabos late 2020 that I’ve consistently upgraded, but I’ve decided not to stray for 100% accuracy because I’m just not skilled enough.
That was it for like 2 years, I had the lego, I liked the GLaDOS voice, I was happy. Then in January 2022 I was looking for a Blu-ray DVD player since I started living on my own. Then my little brother suggested I get a video game console, and I realized there were a few older games that I really wanted to play, so I took his advice and looked up what consoles had Transformers: War For Cybertron, Fall of Cybertron, and Lego Jurassic World.
X box 1 had them but x boxes cost like $300. Ps4s had them and were a bit cheaper but still over $100.
Then I saw that all 3 games were available on PS3. So I looked up the prices and I found some used for like $70.
Tumblr media
On January 6, 2022, I got this PS3 from a used games shop for something like $40, and War For Cybertron to go with it.
Tumblr media
I wanted to find a co-op game to play with him since he had the idea, but he found one for me on January 20th. He said “my friend told me this is about robots, a lesbian computer, and a creepy facility, so I thought you’d like it. Plus it has a two-player mode so we can play it since you still haven’t found Lego Jurassic World”
I hadn’t even checked if Portal 2 was on PS3 previously. After my first play through of the singleplayer campaign I cried my ass off and told him it was the best gift ever.
It was the thing that triggered me to actually start getting into the community, and I luckily started in the right place: looking through the GLaDOS tag on Archive of our own. Then I became a Chelldos addict and now I feel like I’ve been here for years.
Tumblr media
Later I found the Orange Box to play Portal 1 and then everything came full fucking circle
Basically, the reason I got into Portal is because I’m a cheapskate who watches twitch clips on YouTube

Where can I find this 9 hours 9 persons 9 doors game you keep reblogging art of? I'm interested!
AH it’s so good! You can get it for I think any platform, just it might show up under “Zero Escape: The Nonary Games” instead of 9 Hours 9 Persons 9 Doors, depending on your platform. It’s part of a series, and most commonly sold (outside of PS Vita, but like, to steam/Ps4/Xbox) as part of a set. I have only played the first one because I’ve heard mixed things about the rest and loved how #1 ended, so I can’t comment on Virtue’s Last Reward or Zero Time Dilemma one way or another, but 9 Hours 9 Persons 9 Doors is /phenomenal/! It’s an amazing piece of sci-fi time-loop writing, and very clever, plus the voice actors are all just fantastic, great story and characters, and one of the best presented disabled characters in any media I’ve consumed! Very smart and fun. Definitely one to try and avoid spoilers for though! So if you use a guide, make sure to use one that’s a spoiler free one! It’s impossible to get the good end on your first pass, because for story reasons you’re meant to essentially be in a time loop, and you just literally don’t have all the pieces you need (and can’t have them all) on pass one, so don’t be discouraged if you die your first time! I was axed to death my first loop, by a character who later became one of my absolute favorites and I’d die for. It’s complicated. Anyway! It’s an amazing game and I highly recommend. Don’t know what you play on, but you can for sure get it at the Xbox store, PSstore, and on Steam!

Completed the game 100%(not counting/using DLC), so here’s some details and thoughts on Soul Hackers 2(PS4 version). Possible mild, contextless spoilers.
Tumblr media
Despite the title, you don’t need to have played Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers to pick up and enjoy/understand Soul Hackers 2, as aside from Soul Hacking itself, which I think functions differently the way Ringo uses it, nothing from that game really makes an appearance in this, nor is needed to understand the story or themes.
There's a Hint System that shows up on loading screens, but you can really just turn it off after a while once you get more used to the game’s mechanics, plus doing so makes the load times a bit faster.
Battles are semi-random(except for a few parts where Figue/Mimi is crawling through vents where they’re the normal kind of random battles) and spawn on the map that you have to run into to start. Before starting a fight, Ringo can slash the enemy to knock it down(except for Risky enemies) and either run into it to start the fight with a chance to get a first strike or run, as the enemy will disappear after a couple seconds. There are three types of enemy encounters:
Normal enemies, shown as a Red icon on the map
Rare, annoyingly agile enemies that drop items which can be sold for money, which are colored Gold.
Risky enemies, which appear as large purple/black icons, are always at a higher level than you, and also change every 10 levels you gain. The former two will always be the based on the dungeon you’re in, but these ones stay the same until you can another 10 levels, which means, for example, you could be fighting level 95+ enemies if they’re set to appear as such in Risky encounters, and you go to an early game area.
Each time you enter a dungeon, Ringo will send out her current Demons to perform recon in the area, which involves searching for items, money and Demons to possibly recruit. They will randomly appear at certain areas and can be spoken to to receive whatever they found/talk to the Demon they scouted. Some areas will have Key Items that can unlock conversations at Bar Heidrun, and some items from Requests are found this way, as well.
A little ways into the game, you’ll meet Madame Ginko at Club Cretaceous, who will give you Requests to fulfill as the game progresses. Only the first is required, but I’d recommend doing them. Some new ones will appear on NG+, as well.
Dr. Victor returns from past Devil Summoner games, this time taking the role of a circus master and theming the Gomaden as such. Like previous games, you can fuse Demons and Summon ones registered in the Compendium here, as well as Mitama Fusions, which raise the stats of a Demon by fusing one of the four Mitama Demons to another Demon. The prices here, and at other stores, though, seem to be rather higher than I’d expect, even after getting some discounts from Requests.
Other stores include:
De La Mancha, standing in for the Don Quijote stores, and Breaking Mart, which sell the usual healing items
Zefiro, which sells accessories
The COMP Smith, where you can pay in money and Demon Materials to upgrade everyone’s COMPs
Yang Yang Palace, which sells higher rank healing items, as well as stat boosters, both permanent and temporary, also having you pay in cash/materials
Ringo can increase her Bond/Soul Level level with the rest of the party via story events based on choices you make, with how much is increased shown, as well as from talking with the others at events at Bar Heidrun that become available as the story progresses, clearing Requests and finding specific items from Demon Recon.
Introduced very early on, the Soul Matrix is a dungeon that is connected to the three other party members besides Ringo that’s connected to them via her Soul Hacking them back to life. Arrow, Milady and Saizo each have a section that's 5 floors deep, with progress stopped by either story progress or how high their Bond/Soul Level is with Ringo, each floor getting more difficult. You probably won’t be able to clear any fully on a first playthrough, but the points you get are increased on a second run enough to make it possible to access every floor. Only part of Arrow’s is required for the story; the rest is optional, but I’d recommend going through it, since opening the gates that require a specific Bond level and finishing a floor lets you get a new Skill for the party members(Ringo can get these types of Skills, too, from a Ringo hologram at the entrance as her Bond level increases with the others).
At the group’s Safehouse, they can eat Meals, which has them talk about the food(each has their own likes and dislikes), and gives the party various effects, such as boosting stats, making Demons on recon find more items/money/stronger Demons, have rare/Risky Demons spawn more often, and so on. You get more meals from your party members and Figue giving them to you when going back to the Safehouse sometimes, as well as from store, vending machines and food stalls/stores around Karakucho.
In contrast to the previous Devil Summoner and other SMT games, where the Demons you have fight alongside you, here you instead ‘equip’ the Demons to a party member(only one to each), which affects their stats/resistances/weaknesses/etc. and lets them use their skills. Enemy Summoners, plus some enemy Demons, fight alongside their summoned Demons, however, and they’ll be desummoned if the Summoner is taken out.
There’s no instant death skill like Hama/Mudo. While the Ruin element is kept, there’s no ‘light’ equivalent, with the ‘elements’ for attacks being:
Sword(Ringo and Milady's normal attack is this element)
Gun(Arrow and Saizo’s normal attack is this element)
Fire(Element favored by Milady’s Passive Skills)
Ice (Element favored by Arrow’s Passive Skills)
Electric (Element favored by Ringo’s Passive Skills)
Wind/Force (Element favored by Saizo’s Passive Skills)
Ruin
Almighty
A welcome difference from the majority of SMT/Persona games is that Ringo is fully voiced, having full conversations instead of just voice clips and not having to infer what she might be saying. It really helps show her growing personality, and makes the conversations more interesting.
Aside from through Fusion, Demons are recruited in a different way, as well; instead of talking to them in battle, sometimes your Demons will find one willing to join while on reconnaissance, and then you get one choice to recruit or deny them joining. Here, they can ask for money, HP, MP or an item(s). If your Demon Stock is full, they’ll leave but can heal you, or give money/items.
At the start, the Demons you get can only have 4 Skills, but Ringo can learn her own Passive Skills that raises the amount you can have up to 6.
There are Requests specific to the Soul Matrix called Aion Directives, each floor having new ones, though they’re all mostly similar:
Defeat X number of Y enemy,
Collect certain key items from Demons on recon all over the map
Defeat a strong enemy with added conditions.
Similarly to the All-Out Attacks of the Persona games, Soul Hackers 2 has ‘Sabbaths’ which have you can build up ‘Stacks’ in battle by hitting enemy weakness, as well as other ways once you get more of the party member’s Passive Skills, and some Demon Skills can add onto the amount you gain. As it rises, shadows of your Demons will appear floating behind the enemies, and they all attack at the end of your turn. There are also ‘Sabbath Skills’ that can activate during a Sabbath, which can range from doing more damage, lower stats, stealing money/items and more. As the maximum amount of Demons you can eventually hold is 18, that’s most likely the highest Stack you can get, though only 10 is needed for a Trophy.
Ringo can also learn several Commander Skills that can be used once a turn in battle. Several include letting you switch out your Demons, buffing everyone for a turn, granting an extra action to one party member for that turn, and changing  the Sabbath attack to focus on one enemy instead of them all for more damage. They all have a cooldown, so they can’t all be used on several turns in a row.
I’m not sure if it’s intentional, but the three party members beside Ringo feel like they slightly represent the usual SMT alignments: Arrow for Law(who works for Yatagarasu), Milady for Chaos(who works for the Phantom Society), and Saizo for Neutral, since he’s a freelancer. It’s not a 100% similarity between each, of course.
Another potential reference, this time to the first Soul Hackers, is Ringo’s main strengths on her COMP, Electric and Almighty, being the same as Nemissa’s if you picked the ‘Sexy defines her’ option to describe Hitomi Tono in that game.
Though some recurring characters from the Devil Summoner games are present, namely Madame Ginko and Victor, Dr. Thrill and Mary are absent, as is any cameo from ‘Kyouji Kuzunoha’, Rei Reiho or others(not counting the Nemissa DLC), maybe to have it stand on it’s own more.
If you’re going for all the trophies, you’ll need to grind to at least level 95, as that’s when you can fuse the highest level demon, Seth. It’s kind of a slog, but the only way to do this in a reasonable amount of time is to fight Risky enemies over and over.
The recent update that allows Ringo to dash at any time in a dungeon by pressing the Touch Pad without getting Milady’s Assassin’s Steps skill(which got reworked) makes the pace and exploring so much faster and more enjoyable, the latter being much more sluggish beforehand.
Some little details that I liked:
During certain boss battles, the characters may say unique lines when their turn comes around, or in the bosses case, when a skill they’re weak to is selected and the cursor is over them.
Dialogue portraits transitioning on the fly during conversations to better reflect the mood of what’s being discussed. This works really well with having Auto turned on for dialogue. This may make more sense to see in action than described.
All of the party members are adults(or created in the image of adults by Aion, in Ringo and Figue’s cases).
There are two endings, Normal and True. To get the True Ending(which is easier on a NG+), you need to:
Say ‘I do not’ to four certain dialogue choices in the final dungeon
Finish at least the fourth floor of each character’s Soul Matrix, at least entering the 5th floor, and have their Bond at 100+, then select the second dialogue choice at the end.
Something I don’t really care for in this is how the store’s prices and Summoning Demons from the Compendium, even when you get discounts from doing Requests, are all pretty expensive, so it felt like grinding for money is kind of a necessity. A couple Meal items, Skills and a late-game Sabbath Skill make this a bit easier, either making enemies drop more, stealing from enemies(which you keep even if you run away) or receiving more from Demons sent on recon, though.
There are some parts I feel could have used some more screen time or work, though, such as for Arrow’s friend Kaburagi, R.S.(who I really wish had been a recurring boss, since his few scenes were fun, plus there was hinted to be more to him), and other characters. The dungeons, though having a few puzzles in them, could probably be better, both in design and number, two of them being in a subway system(though storywise, one makes sense to use).
Part of me wants to buy and play the ‘Lost Numbers’ DLC scenario to see if it has anything important or interesting in it, but I’m not fond of Atlus making it DLC, and not part of the main game(which, to me, does stand on it’s own and can be understood just fine). Maybe I’ll change my mind in the future, but not right now. I also don’t plan on getting any of the DLC Demons that really should have been there to begin with.
I found a guide to making a couple OP Demons that, while they won’t make you completely invincible(there’s no way to block Almighty damage), they do make the game much easier.
OP Titania
OP Yoshitsune
Very useful Loki
While it doesn’t reach the highs of, say Persona 5 Royal, I enjoyed this one, and glad I came back to it after it got that update and saw it through to the end. Hopefully, the characters come back for another game, especially Ringo, since they were a big part of what I liked about it, having some moments for them I felt were well done. It also seemed like it was hinting at more stuff to occur in this setting and with these characters, as well.

Are you content with your social life? Yes, but I don’t have much of a social life. I find it more and more overwhelming to make plans and hang out with people. I do like being out among people though, like at markets or plazas. Grabbing an outdoor table at a restaurant or cafe. People watching I guess, which is weird when I pause to consider it.
What kind of phone do you have? Moto X4.
What is something freeing that you've done recently? Paid off my remaining debt.
Do you own bluetooth headphones? Yep but I don’t use them as much as my wired headphones. I don’t like having to pause to charge them.
How many months until your birthday? Seven months out.
Have you ever had edible flowers? I drank jamaica recently, which is a juice/drink made from hibiscus flowers.
Do you read other people's survey answers? Yep I’ve followed some survey blogs now that I’ve started up.
What's your favorite thing to put on a tortilla? I eat tortillas like a lot of traditional Mexican folks do, which is to tear off strips and use it to scoop up food. So whatever the contents of my plate that end up in the tortilla.
Do you work better alone or in a group? Alone. I can’t handle other people’s time for them.
When did you last go shopping for shoes/socks? Hm, it’s been a minute. I bought shoes online late last year, but it was just another pair of the same shoes I already wear. And I really think the last time I bought socks was when I was in Edinburgh and didn’t want to bother doing laundry so I bought extra clothes to last me through the trip.
What's a good midnight snack? I’m not a midnight snacker, but I’d say maybe a fruit? Like a plum or something.
What are 3 essential items you won't leave the house without? Wallet, phone, keys.
Do you enjoy spicy foods? Kind of. More than I used to, but I don’t like food so spicy it leaves you sweating. That’s not an enjoyable meal for me.
Do you ever shop at Walmart? What's the last thing you purchased there? Sometimes I order something online and pick it up at a store. I think the last item I bought was a laundry hamper bag or something.
Have you ever hosted a party? Nope.
What color are your eyes? Brown.
What's a song you've had on replay recently? Love Me More by Mitski. (It’s on right now.)
Have you ever played volleyball? Yep.
Have you ever slipped in the shower? Nope.
How many miles away is your favorite grocery shop from your residence? About a 10 minute walk.
When did you last have a toothache? A very dull ache late last year. I think I was drinking too many cold drinks.
What should you be doing right now besides surveys? Playing Outer Wilds on PS4.
What is something you want to be remembered for? Making video games.
What's your favorite kind of juice? Grapefruit I reckon. I don’t drink juice much. (Too sweet.)
Do you like lounging around or do you enjoy being more active? I don’t like lounging aimlessly. I need an objective. So sitting on the couch playing a video game may be lounging, but I’m doing something.
What is something besides cash/cards that you keep in your wallet? Library cards, office keycard, health insurance card.
Do you like pickles? Yep.
How many colors are in your outfit today? Looks like five: brown, black, white, blue, red. (’merica.)
Do you own a pair of combat boots? A pair of very old harley davidson boots that I need to get repaired.
Do you consider yourself to be more of a loner or outgoing? Loner.
What is something you take a lot of pictures of? Book pages. It’s the easiest way to remember a passage for later.
Where do you stream or listen to your music? Bandcamp or YouTube.
Have you cut yourself on a glass on accident? Yep. Once I was washing a glass and sunk my hand in to scrub the bottom and my hand was fat enough to break the glass. I imagine plunging your hand into a circular cheese grater.
What's your plans for the next upcoming season? I’m taking algebra (bleh) and a C++ programming class. I’m also travelling to Washington for a weekend which I’m really looking forward to.
Do you use a lot of seasonings in your cooking? I don’t cook, but I would.
What's a dish you love to prepare for yourself? I’d make pancakes if I had a kitchen.
What emotion do you feel the strongest right now? Eager to get on with Outer Wilds.
What are your most used emojis? :grimace:
What's the strangest name you've heard someone name their child? Chastity’s a weird one. Prudence. Calamity’s cool though.

@psychcdelica replied  to  this  post  :   I'd love to play Rune factory T_T
Tumblr media Tumblr media
yes !!! i recommend the series if you ever get the opportunity to play it ( not that i’m biased or anything ... lol ... ) . one of my favorite things about the series is that you don’t need to necessarily play the games in order - i started with rf4 since it was what was most readily available at the time ( which is still true, at least until rf5 comes out, lol ) and while it does offer references to and cameos from the earlier games, it doesn’t really impede your gameplay at all.
rune factory 4 as mentioned above is currently the easiest to get ahold of. while it was originally released for the nintendo 3ds and is still available in this format through retailers such as amazon and ebay, its special edition form rune factory 4 special was released in the west in 2020 and is more readily available for current consoles. the gameplay is more or less the same as the original, just with some bonus features including hd graphics, new costume and short story dlc, a newlywed mode which unlocks a new stand-alone story complete with new movies and animated sprites ( !!! ) after your marry the spouse of your choice.
rf4s is currently available on nintendo switch, steam, xbox one and series x/s, and ps4 for about $30. however, i know that marvelous entertainment, rf’s western publisher, tends to offer sales and all sorts of promotional activities and giveaways fairly regularly -- for example, as of right now (03/03/2022) they’re holding a competition on twitter through march 9th where you can win one of two codes for rf4s on a platform of your choice. there’s also currently a 30% discount for it on the playstation store !!
rune factory 5 has already been out in japan, hong kong, and south korea since last year, but it is also due out in the west by the end of the month, releasing march 22, 2022 for north america and march 25, 2022 in pal regions. as far as i know, for now it is only being released on the switch and is currently available for pre-order in both physical and digital formats.
the physical version of rf5 is available in two separate editions - standard edition for $60, and earthmate edition, which includes the game, a 70+ page artbook full of illustrations and concept art, a soundtrack cd featuring 15 songs from across the series, and 13 in - game costumes based on the marriage candidates from rf4 for $80. if you pre - order through xseed, you can also opt into adding a wooly head keychain for $5 as well !!
rf5′s digital version similarly comes in two separate editions - standard edition for $60, and digital deluxe edition, which includes the in - game costumes from rf4 discussed above, for $70.
rune factory / rune factory 1, rune factory 2, and rune factory 3 are a little more difficult to get ahold of these days, unfortunately. they are only available on the nintendo ds, but it is possible to still track them down online ! i personally purchased my copies through amazon, for example.
there are also two rune factory series games that were released for the wii - rune factory frontier and rune factory tides of destiny ( also known as rune factory oceans in japan and pal regions ). while rf oceans was also made for the ps3, i believe frontier is still wii - exclusive. again, these games might require a little bit more digging to find, although i’ve seen them posted through online retailers as well.
i don’t personally use emulators myself, but i’ve heard that emulations for the games do exist as well.

Yeah, you fucking with some wet-ass pussy
Bring a bucket and a mop for this wet-ass pussy
I woke up to WAP blazing through the house at eight in the morning. That was the moment I knew I was going to kill Jason. Well, not literally, but there will be payback.
It was Monday, my favorite day of the week. Mondays have such a bad reputation for absolutely no reason. Personally, I liked a good Monday, it was the day when I organized the rest of my week. In case you are wondering, yes, I’m a nerd and the sight of stationary makes me drool. I got ready quickly, I had planned lunch with Song Hwa today, and after that DOBBY WAS FREE!
“JASON,” I screamed as I stumbled into the kitchen, “you are so dead.”
“Nah, you love me too much!” He laughed. How dare he!
“Who told you that? Just you wait, one of these days I’m going to disown you, you brat!”
Jungkook was sitting at the table eating cereal Jason must’ve gotten him. At least one of us was functional. I could barely take care of myself. Jungkook had gotten a bit more comfortable with us over the past week. The first two days he had stuck to his room but then I introduced him to our PS4 and he was hooked. The kid was a natural. He was wearing Jason’s clothes that were a size too small on him. His eyes widened at my murderous declaration. He was so cute.
“Don’t worry bunny, I won’t kill him ...yet,” I narrowed my eyes at Jason. I still couldn’t understand how we ended up becoming friends. Jason and I were always at each other’s throat when we were in college. Not a day went by without us going head to head, don’t even get me started on the mountain of assignments that we had to do as a punishment for disturbing the peace.
“I’m going out today, do you want to come to the town with me? We could get you some new clothes, and maybe some ice cream, we are running dangerously low,” I asked while sipping on some overly sweet coffee. I mean, I could buy clothes for him but first, I had no idea what his size was, and second I had no idea what his style was. I myself was a walking fashion disaster, if it was socially acceptable I’d wear pajamas every day, to every event but alas! This world is cruel to those who can’t match their clothes.
Jungkook nodded his approval and after our not-so-filling breakfast we left. It was a 2 hour ride to Seoul and on the way I pointed out landmarks in case Jungkook ever wanted to go out on his own. I made a mental note to teach him how to drive. The aircon was on full blast, it was summer, the grumpiest of all seasons.
I was wearing black sneakers, black jeans and a black hoodie like a goth pauper. Jungkook was wearing Jason’s oversized hoodie and jeans, a size smaller, that hugged his lower body like a second skin, I had to constantly remind myself to keep my eyes on the road. Hey, I hadn’t gotten laid in months, not that I’d ever look at Jungkook that way, he was just a kid, even if he had the body of a Greek god.
“Here we are, bunny, you gotta follow some safety guidelines okay?” I said as I parked in front of the mall.
He nodded. I wondered when he was going to start talking comfortably. Was he just shy or scared? Or both?
“First, don’t go anywhere alone, stay in my sight. I don’t want to lose you. And second, let’s hide your adorable ears,” I leaned over and pulled the hood over his head. He blushed, I almost cooed at him, why was he so cute. Be still my heart!
“If it gets too scary, just hold my hand, okay?” I said as we walked in through the doors. It was a good day to go shopping, there weren’t as many people on a weekday. “Go on, you can buy whatever you want, I’ll follow you around,” I grinned, his eyes were darting around from shop to shop.
“Can I?” he asked nervously.
“Of course honey,” I encouraged patting his head.
We spent the next two hours going from store to store. Jungkook was hesitant at first but after he realized that I had meant what I said he got excited. He’d take something off the shelf and run over to show me, he did that with every single thing that we bought. I was having the time of my life looking at him having fun, he was like a kid in a candy store. I wondered how excited he’d be if I actually took him to a candy store, I mentally added it to my to-do list.
He was still non-verbal, which was making me worry. Was he uncomfortable with talking? Was he nervous, scared? I kept wondering. The only times that he had spoken, his voice was small and unsure, as if the words he was saying held the weight of the world.
We ended up being late for the meeting with Song Hwa. The shopping bags barely fit in the trunk but somehow we achieved the unachievable. She had called me in to talk about Jungkook’s case, she had done some research and she insisted on talking in person. It worked for me though, that meant I could take the day off and relax.
Song Hwa’s office was in one of those big commercial complexes. We had her on retainer but she worked for one of the biggest law firms in the country. Jungkook grabbed my hand as soon as I opened the office door. He was sniffing the air furiously, fear on his face. I peeked through the little crack that I had opened. There was a man sitting across from my favorite lawyer. I had seen him around Song Hwa’s firm, he was one of her colleagues. I had no idea why Jungkook was afraid of him, he seemed perfectly normal to me, but then again I didn’t have superhuman abilities unlike my bunny.
His voice got closer and the door opened. As usual, my brain stopped working. I grabbed Jungkook’s neck and pulled his head on my shoulder to hide his face. Song Hwa and the man stepped out of the office and looked at us as if we had sprouted a fifth head. It must’ve been a sight, us holding hands and Jungkook’s face buried in my neck. I just looked at Song Hwa who made some excuse to the man in the beige suit to get him to leave. I was too embarrassed to register what she had said.
“Is he gone?” I whispered, before Song Hwa could answer, Jungkook nodded in my neck. I stepped away from him, still holding his hand. “I’m sorry, are you okay?” another nod. He was redder than a tomato, I guess he was twice as embarrassed.
“What the fuck?” Song Hwa’s expression matched her question. I sighed. I told her what happened as we sat down in her office.
“His name is Brian, he is a sleazebag and a coward. I wouldn’t worry about him,” Song Hwa reassured Jungkook. I didn’t like it, I could see how scared and uncomfortable Jungkook was. He hadn’t let go of my hand and he was clutching it as if his life depended on it. We ended up leaving her office and going to a nearby restaurant for lunch. It was well past noon and I was starving, I’d bet my Bleach collection that Jungkook was starving to. I was used to skipping meals and starving until I got a hunger headache but I couldn’t do that to him. I sucked at taking care of people.
“Here,” Song Hwa handed me a newspaper while I was stuffing some fries in my mouth. She had highlighted a small article, just a paragraph not worthy of front page news. It was about a stolen lab equipment from an Apexi lab. There was no mention of a hybrid.
“Please tell me this is good news,” I said through clenched teeth. Even though I knew it was terrible news, I could always hope. A multinational pharmaceutical company doesn’t just hide the fact that their lab animals were stolen along with a hybrid and their research destroyed. Unless it was something big.
“It's not and you know that,” Song Hwa had terrible bedside manners.
“Let’s talk about this tomorrow, today we feast!” I tried to sound enthusiastic but I failed terribly. Worrying about it would only ruin the rest of the day, not like I could do anything about it at the moment so I decided to ignore the screaming voice in my head and focus on the delicious meal that had suddenly turned bland.
Jungkook had fallen asleep on our way back. His head was resting on the back of the seat, eyes closed, soft lips slightly parted. Every time he scrunched his nose my heart made cooing noises. How was he even more adorable when he slept, I could watch him for hours. His hair was covering his forehead, I had forgotten about his haircut. I wondered if they were as soft as they looked. I lightly ran my fingers through his hair, yep, his hair was super soft. I felt like a stalker so I mentally shook myself and focused on the road.

Mutual Feelings
Jeon Jungkook x Reader
Summary: Jungkook is nervous because you haven’t told him you love him; you have an important question for him. Genre: fluff Notes: Part of the Long Term Couples series.  Read more here
Tumblr media
If, last year, someone had asked Jungkook if he was cool with being in a relationship with someone who seemed physically resistant to saying the words ‘I love you’ in a meaningful way, he would have said absolutely not. Jungkook’s a patient man, but even he has limits. He likes to feel solid in his relationships, likes to not have any questions left on the table. He thinks he’s an open book, and he likes his partners to be the same way.
When he let those three words slip out not even a month into your relationship, he had mentally kicked himself. He had thought it was too soon, but he was trying to reassure you and they had tumbled out of his fat mouth before he could stop them. As it turned out, he hadn’t stopped saying them since.
You, on the other hand, had somehow gone from the cheerful ‘I love you’s whispered between friends to not saying it at all, not even after he had said it, and not ever since. He had grown so used to them during your six years of friendship that going six months without felt a little empty.
You weren’t ready. It was a big step for you, and he understood. He just wished he knew if there was any way for him to help you want to take that step. That, coupled with the fact that intimacy beyond kissing was off the table meant that Jungkook was more unsure in this relationship than he had ever been before.
This was all so new. He’d had girlfriends in the past, but in the years of knowing you, he’d never heard you talk about anyone significant in your life. He wasn’t sure if you’d never dated anyone, or if you’d never dated anyone that mattered, but at this point, he wasn’t sure that was important. Your friendship meant the world to him–you meant the world to him–and he was just so worried about losing that.
So he was second guessing himself constantly. Was he wrong to tell you he loved you so soon? Did he make a mistake in assuming you would want to see him both at work and at home every day? Had he been too forward when he drunkenly asked you out? Not forward enough the next day when you confronted him about it? Did he make enough time for you? Was he letting you know how he felt often enough, or was he smothering you?
Jungkook had thought that he had known you so well back when you were still just friends, but now… he had trouble reading you. He supposed that it was because you wouldn’t outright tell him how you felt.
Although, it wasn’t like you didn’t love him. Hearing the words would be nice, but the fact that you didn’t say them didn’t mean you didn’t feel them. And Jungkook definitely felt loved.
He felt it when he pushed himself too hard at rehearsals and performances. Not only were you there to take care of him, you scolded him for not taking care of himself. He knew you appreciated his work ethic and dedication, but the fact that you could hold an ice pack to his neck, pet his hair, and yell at him all at the same time honestly made his heart swell.
And he felt it when he screwed up his heel in London. You were there, distracting him from the pain before the concert, and helping pick him up when it was over. He had been devastated to not be able to perform, to be confined to a chair on stage, but having you dote on him afterwards almost made it better. And while you weren’t dating at the time, Jungkook knew that you wouldn’t hesitate to do the same thing again, since every time there was even the threat of an injury, you were at his side.
It was there when he had showed up on your doorstep with a dog and you had just gone with it. He had rightfully expected some pushback, but he hadn’t quite expected just how quickly you had agreed. He prepared a speech! He had rehearsed that speech the whole way from the pet store to your apartment! But he loved that you trusted him enough to take in his dog, he loved that you were comfortable enough around him to be spontaneous like that, and he loved that, even in just the couple weeks that you had Kimchi, you had fallen in love with the puppy. He may have paid the adoption fees, but you both knew that Kimchi had quickly become your dog.
He felt it when you jumped to defend him, like his own personal knight in shining armor, fighting for his honor. It didn’t matter if it was something you saw on Twitter, one of the other guys, or even himself–you got heated about it all the same. You had a secret account on almost every social platform just to yell at people on his behalf. You would playfully scold the guys when their teasing got a little too intense. And you always stopped him when he got too down on himself. In fact, you had been the one to first introduce him to the “you shouldn’t be mean to my best friend” rebuke.
He even felt it in how fiercely competitive you could be. Jungkook loved that you could go from defending him in one breath to threatening to smother him in his sleep in the next. He had gotten you into Overwatch, and he had expanded his gaming repertoire based on your tastes, and honestly he was never happier than he was curled up in bed playing video games with you, and at this point, he was convinced that you felt the same.
It was there in the late night texts you sent him when the two of you spent the night apart, and in the early morning phone calls he received the following morning. It didn’t matter if the two of you were in different timezones, you always texted him goodnight. And while he might not always be awake enough to respond, he had started looking forward to those short messages. And then the next morning, he was always happy to answer the phone when you called, even if you woke him up with the call. There was something about your cheerful ‘good morning!,’ especially if he knew it was three in the afternoon for you.
So while he definitely would prefer to hear you say it, Jungkook supposed that he could wait a little longer, because your actions spoke louder than any words.
He thought about this as he worked, the task of washing that night’s dinner dishes mindless enough that he could safely let his mind wander without risking too much. You, too, were in your own little world, drying the dishes and bopping around to the music blasting out of the little bluetooth speaker you kept in your kitchen.
Dinner had been tense that night. Not because anything was particularly wrong–or, at least, Jungkook didn’t know of anything that was wrong–just because you seemed incredibly nervous, and he wasn’t sure why. But the entire time you helped him cook and while the two of you were sitting in front of the tv watching YouTube videos and eating, he could feel the nervous energy rolling off you. He wanted to ask, but every time it crossed his mind, it didn’t seem like a good time.
The song changed, Jungkook smiled at the opening notes to “My Time” wafting out of the speaker. He loved that you loved his music. You grabbed the wet skillet off the counter as you started to hum along, and he watched you out of the corner of his eye. Once it was dry, you placed the skillet on your stove–you used it for everything, so he supposed you never saw the need to properly put it away.
You continued to hum as he let the water out of the sink, the dishes finally complete. With a sigh, you tossed your towel down on the counter and leaned against the cabinets below, watching him rinse the last of the bubbles down the drain.
“So I’ve been thinking.” Jungkook noted the hint of nerves in your voice. “And, I mean, you’re totally allowed to say no to this, I just figured I’d ask-”
“Babe. Breathe,” he joked, flicking some water off his hands in your direction. You giggled, leaning away slightly from his attack. He placed a hand on your hip, tugging slightly and pulling you closer. His other arm snaked around your waist as soon as you were close enough, holding you loosely against his body.
“I was wondering,” you started again, placing your hands on his chest and playing with the soft fabric of his t-shirt. “If maybe you wanted to move in?”
Jungkook could feel his heart start to pound in his chest. He was sure that you could feel it, being as close as you were. Was this what you were nervous about earlier?
“I mean, you’re over here most of the time, anyway. And Kimchi’s here.” You glanced at the brown and tan dog napping under your breakfast nook. “I know the dorm’s convenient, so if you want to leave some stuff there, that’s fine. But I wanted to offer.”
He couldn’t help the goofy smile spreading across his face. Honestly, Jungkook hadn’t expected your relationship to move this far this quickly. But he wasn’t complaining. At this point, a good majority of his clothes were at your apartment–he still had the bag tucked into your closet, but he had also lost count of the number of hoodies and sweatpants and t-shirts he had left here that he just hadn’t bothered to take back to the dorm. His laptop was here, his PS4 was here, his dog was here, you were here, and really, that’s all he needed.
“Sure.” He nodded, his eyes meeting yours. You looked happy, which only made his smile grow. He could feel his face start to heat up, and for a second, he felt like a teenager again, confronted by his noona crush. It was weird–and a little fitting considering the song that was still playing–for him to realize that he had never had that experience in school. “I would like that a lot.”
“Yeah?” Jungkook nodded, his hand covering yours on his chest. “We’re going to need new furniture.” Your eyes sparkled as you said it, and he couldn’t tell if you were joking.
“Please tell me you didn’t just ask me to move in so you had an excuse to get a new couch.”
You hummed, one of your hands tangling in the long hair at the back of his neck. You smiled at him–it was innocent enough, but he could see mischief in it, too. “Not at all.” Your lips brushed against his softly. “But if we could celebrate the occasion with a new couch, who am I to argue?”
Jungkook laughed and buried his face in the crook of your neck. He felt it then, too, standing there in your kitchen, your arms wrapped tightly around him. You didn’t need to say it, not yet at least. He knew.
You loved him. And the feeling was absolutely mutual.

“Meeps!” Hoseok’s calls from the hallway, catching your attention from where you’d lined up all your baking ingredients on the counter. “I’m heading out.”
Placing the glass bowl down carefully, you wipe your hands clean before heading out and smiling at him brightly. He’s got a dark denim jacket on alongside his new favourite black leather biker style boots, looking suitably rocker and even more sexy. Maybe you had a thing for those boots.
You don’t let him know this though, just watching as he pats his pockets to check he has his phone and wallet before a concerned expression takes over his face. Chuckling, you reach out to tap his hand, revealing the car keys he’s panicking over and causing his cheeks to fluff a pretty rose.
“Thanks. Do you want me to bring you anything back later? I can swing by the store on my way back home once we’re done?” Shaking your head at him, you squeeze at the hand you’re still touching and give him a thankful smile.
“No, I’m good. We’re going to order in later. Maybe that Japanese place that we ordered from the other week or something. Thank you, though. Enjoy yourself, okay? Text me when you’re going to set off.” Hoseok nods before leaning forward, giving you a quick kiss before he’s out of the door.
Standing for a moment, you overhear the sound of his car starting up before turning around and heading back into the kitchen. Grabbing your phone, your fingers tap at the screen as you let the girl’s know that the door is open for them to just walk in. Almost as soon as you’ve sent the message into your group chat, you’re distracted away by the bark from Ciri at your feet.
She’s still pretty small, only a little bigger than she’d been three months ago when Hoseok had proposed, but you think that just makes her look cuter. Thankfully, she’s been very easy to train so far and she’s currently sat so prettily as she looks up at you, big eyes staring intently at your hands.
Another short, sharp bark makes you laugh as you glance at the stuff you’d gotten out to bake with. Crouching down, you stroke her fur and make baby noises to her until her tail is sweeping the floor rapidly.
“Ciri-billy, I haven’t even started yet! You can’t eat them as they are now. Have some patience my darling.” You don’t know why you call your pets the nicknames that you do, or even where the names come. They just tend to pop out of your mouth when you’re talking to them and you just roll with it.
It’s caused Hoseok to laugh more than once to hear you call Kasumi your chicken or Ciri your little pudding. Particularly given you don’t call him by many pet names, instead just using his name or Hobi. Occasionally he’ll get a ‘babe’ or a ‘sweetheart’ but it’s not too often.
“Soon my bub.” Giggling, you give her a final stroke before standing back up and facing the counter. Quickly opening Spotify and beginning the playlist of your favourite songs, you keep your phone within easy reaching distance while looking over the recipe you’d printed out earlier in the day.
It takes only minutes for you to become entranced in what you’re doing; careful measuring of ingredients and the delicate balance of mixing them to create a wonderful treat. Only what you’re making today isn’t for yourself, or even your best friends.
No, they’re for Ciri. You’d found a recipe for grain-free dog treats and you’d decided to try making them. Part of you couldn’t quite believe what you were doing, particularly for a dog, but you would enjoy seeing Ciri enjoy them all. It wouldn’t surprise you if Hoseok decided to try and eat one himself.
You’re so involved with baking and singing along to the music that plays through the Bluetooth connected speakers in the kitchen, obviously something that Hoseok had bought because you’d considered it pointless, that you don’t hear the front door opening. It’s only when you turn to put some of the finished treats onto the wire trays that you’ve lined up that you realise when Chungha is suddenly standing in front of you.
Shrieking, you jump and have to battle to not drop all the freshly baked goods onto the floor while cursing up a storm. Almost immediately she moves to help you, apologising profusely as she yelps when grabbing a falling dog treat, her face twisting as it burns her fingers.
“Oh fuck! Chungha, shit. Are you okay? Oh my god, come over here.” Tugging her to the sink, you turn on the cold water and shove her hand under it, ignoring her whine of pain as the cold water interacts with her burn. The two of you focus on making sure it’s okay, even resulting in you going to grab the first aid kit Hoseok had bought a year ago when a sudden voice interrupts.
“What is going on here?” Two sides of wide eyes turn to Soyeon, letting her see the medical stuff you’ve haphazardly thrown on the side as you’ve looked for the burn ointment you could have sworn was in here. A glance at the treats causes a small ‘o’ to form on her pretty lips before she leans against the counter, elbows on the top.
“Ooh, baking mishap?” Teasing you with a grin and a wiggle of her brows, you nod before handing Chungha the tube you’d finally found. She gives you a smile of gratitude and applies some to her hand, her lips pursed into an adorable pout as she concentrates. You’re so busy concentrating on watching her that you almost miss Soyeon’s hand as it reaches out to the wire trays.
“No!” Shouting, the word causes her to jerk in surprise as she snaps her hand back with almost obscenely wide eyes. Cringing, you realised that you’d perhaps been a little bit too loud and give her an apologetic wince.
“Sorry. I just...they’re not for us. They’re for Ciri! I found a recipe to make some treats for her so I thought I’d give it a go. Think I made enough for her?” Brow raising, you chuckle while gesturing to the ridiculous amount. Perhaps you’d bought a little too many ingredients and gotten just a little excited in it.
There’s no way you could feed Ciri all this before they went off. She’d end up getting sick, and you hated having to clean that up. Which meant you couldn’t because then Hoseok would have to clean it up and you know he’d whine and pout the whole time.
“I can take some back for Mandu?” Soyeon offers, referring to the cute golden labrador that Jungkook and her had adopted two months ago. They’d gotten her from a shelter as a puppy and Jungkook had been the one to pick her name, unsurprisingly choosing something food-related given mandu was Korean-style dumplings.
“Sure, I’ll make sure you can take some back for Eevee too,” Glancing to Chungha, you gesture over to the box on the other counter. “For us though, I did make us some triple chocolate cookies! Not entirely sure how many are left because Hoseok was being a locust.”
That gets a snort from them all as you separate the dog treats so that all three dogs will get an equal amount before washing your hands. Chungha puts the kit away and takes out two glasses from a cupboard before handing one over to Soyeon. The two take a glance inside the fridge before filling them up with fizzy lemonade.
As far as you knew, that was just what Hoseok liked to drink with one of his alcohols. It made it more like a soft drink or something.
Grabbing the box of cookies, you head into the living room and sit on the couch with a leg curled up beneath you. Your best friends follow and sit as well, looking over at the television where Netflix has been paused in the show you’d been watching. One of what was considered to be your worst traits was that you took far too long to watch the ‘popular’ shows, which is why you’d finally started watching Breaking Bad way too late.
Hoseok had been bugging you to try and watch it for years now but you’d just never been interested.
“Ooh, you’re getting to a good bit.” Chungha comments, reaching forward to grab one of the cookies out of the box and munching on it. A soft noise of happiness leaves her as she chews, her butt wiggling as the flavours melt on her tongue.
“Shh, I already have to put up with Hoseok doing that. I don’t need you doing it too,” Pursing your lip into a pout, you cross your legs and grab the sleeping Pikachu cushion from your side before hugging it. “I’m going, to be honest with you as well, I don’t really like this. I don’t get the hype.”
As expected, both of them look at you with shocked faces that make you want to laugh. You don’t know what it is about going against the grain but the reactions you got never ceased to amaze you.
“Are you kidding? Breaking Bad is like...television perfection! The character arcs are just...urgh, exquisite.” Brow raising, you watch as Chungha continues to wax poetic about the show while Soyeon nods along and interjects now and again in support.
“Well, I think it’s pretty boring. And I don’t like Walter. He’s an asshole.” More shocked looks cause you to reach out and take the PS4 controller, exiting the show and moving on to look through the large list of shows and films Netflix had on offer. Without any input from either of them, you settle on The Umbrella Academy.
You’d already watched both seasons but it was something easy to have on in the background while you all probably talked instead.
“How’s wedding planning?” The question comes from Soyeon, who lets her head drop onto the back of the couch. Kasumi is laid out next to her, probably purring contentedly as her soft fur is stroked and she gets all the scratches and love. Ciri is currently curled up between Chungha and you, her tail hitting your thigh gently.
“Good, good. We’ve chosen a date and booked the venue so...we’re going to get the invites done as soon as we can. Before we get onto picking stuff for the actual ceremony and all that, we’re going to book the honeymoon. Priorities, you know. I think we’re leaning towards Argentina for two weeks at the minute but that might change.” You were adamant on exploring the world with Hoseok and Argentina would be your first foray into South America.
Which wasn’t much really considering you’d only ever visited Italy and Thailand so far. But still, when the opportunity arose then you would grasp it firmly.
Chungha finishes off her cookie before brushing at her mouth delicately, “Have you bought one of those wedding planner’s? Where it lists out all the stuff for you to plan and add in ideas and stuff?”
Nodding, you smile at her before gesturing over to the bookcase to the right. Alongside the books, video games, figurines and plushies that had accumulated over time was the binder that you’d purchased only days after getting engaged. Part of you was still trying to get your head around the fact that you no longer had a boyfriend but a fiancé.
And in a couple of months then you’d have a husband. It was odd to think about.
“Ah, it’s all exciting to think about.”
“It is, but I don’t have much more to tell you at the minute, to be honest. We haven’t decided much more apart from that and I haven’t looked into anything else. I’m trying not to overwhelm myself, you know? Go slow.” That gets them both nodding in acknowledgement before they look around.
“Where’s Hoseok gone today?”
“Oh, he’s gone to a concert with Taehyung and Yoongi. Some...weird prog-rock band or something. He’s been playing some of the songs lately and they sound odd but he’s into it so,” You shrug with a wry twist to your lips, causing them to snort. “I doubt he’ll be home before midnight, to be honest, so...we have the house to ourselves, ladies!”
“I mean...I’m pretty sure the most exciting thing we’re going to do is just eat food or something. Which is probably all we ever do when we’re together. You guys are not good for my waistline.” Soyeon groans, patting her flat stomach and you give her a droll stare.
“Really?”
“Yeah?” Chungha backs you up and you can’t help but laugh in amusement, giving her an equally amused stare. She’s just as skinny as Soyeon is but you can’t bring yourself to argue with either of them. Everyone has their issues going on after all.
That thought makes you frown and you reach out to Soyeon, clasping her hand tightly as you watch her with concern. Your sudden change in demeanour causes her brow to lower, gaze skittering away from yours given how intense it was.
“You’re okay, right? There’s nothing wrong or anything you’d wanna talk about?” The sincerity in your voice makes her smile softly, her free hand coming to rest against your own and squeezing it gently.
“I’m okay, I promise. It was just a joke, honestly.” Twisting your lips slightly, you stare deeply into her eyes before nodding slowly in acceptance. After spending so long hating yourself, you didn’t want to let your friends feel even an iota of the self-hatred you had. Especially when they were so pretty anyway.
“So err...while we’re still talking about moderately serious stuff, I have something to ask both of you. I mean...well it’s kinda weird that I’m asking you both but I figure I should ask you to get your permission before asking them.” Chungha is babbling and you tilt your head in question, brow creasing as you wonder what on earth she’s trying to get at. She seems nervous given the way her fingers play with themselves and her eyes skitter away from your direction.
“Dahyun was supposed to be here, you know that, but she’s ended up having to go see her grandparents as her grandma is sick right now. Otherwise, she’d be here too. So...we’ve decided that we want a kid. And we’re looking to adopt, we’ve put our names down and everything but it takes a while to even get approved for that. But we also would like to have a baby as well. Like...one of ours. I know Dahyun, in particular, is quite eager to get to experience pregnancy because she’d always dreamed of having a baby but as you can guess, being lesbians we don’t have the option of getting pregnant so easily.” Now your eyebrows have lifted high, probably almost to your hairline as you listen to Chungha’s nervous words.
It doesn’t surprise you that they’re wanting to have kids now. They’ve been together for a while as well, and you know that they’ve been considering whether or not to get married. For the moment though, they’d just registered themselves in a civil partnership, unsure whether they wanted to go through the whole wedding thing just yet. Though you did not doubt that they would eventually go for it.
Kids were the next logical choice for them, and you felt excitement bubbling in your stomach at the thought of Chungha being a mommy. Even if you didn’t like kids, it didn’t mean that you weren’t excited for your friends when they wanted to have them.
You could imagine that it was a bit more stressful for Chungha and Dahyun as a lesbian couple, as compared to a heterosexual couple. The more you thought about that actually, the more unfair it seemed. People were getting pregnant all the time by accident, but your best friend had to go through so much effort to get the same result.
“So, we’ve looked into IVF and all that stuff. There’s not just IVF, there are other methods too. But if we’re spending money on it then we’d rather have the best chance of success, you know? I’m not explaining it very well but I’m not a scientist either, we’ve researched it a lot and had a preliminary appointment either way. I just...have something potentially awkward to ask.” She pauses at that, her face twisting into a picture of nerves and hesitation.
A glance at Soyeon has you catching eye contact, but neither of you says anything and decide to let Chungha go at her own pace. You have an idea as to where she’s going with this, but you feel that she should at least be allowed to get there on her own.
“So, we can use sperm from a sperm bank, right? It’s all checked over and vetted, but it’s really expensive. And I know that sounds rich considering we’re wanting to have a baby and the last thing they are is cheap, but we’re trying to look at all our options for the moment. What I’m trying to ask in a long-winded way is would either of you be okay if we asked Hoseok or Jungkook to maybe donate? I know it sounds awkward given we know them and you’re both dating them but they can get everything tested and I’d feel a little easier if we knew the sperm donor, you know?” A grimace takes over her mouth, causing you to frown as you reach out and squeeze her leg in reassurance.
“Hey, there’s no need to apologise. I think we’ve all been friends for long enough that something like this can be discussed without ridicule or negative emotions, right?” Looking to Soyeon, you feel relief as she smiles and nods in agreement. “I’m excited for you to start a family! You know I’m not one for kids so I can’t say I understand the whole process you’re going through but I can assure you that I’ll support you and Dahyun the whole way. In terms of a donation...well it’s up to you, Soyeon, and Jungkook. Hoseok literally can’t.”
Glancing between them both, you make a scissors gesture and watch in amusement as both their eyebrows rise in realisation. It wasn’t something you’d discussed with them before, even if Hoseok had been fine about it, mainly because you’d felt Hoseok’s health and your sex life weren’t things to casually talk about. But you felt it important at this moment to make sure Chungha knew that you weren’t being callous.
“Oh? That makes sense though, you’ve never wanted kids and it doesn’t surprise me that Hoseok doesn’t want them either then. So that leaves Jungkook, huh?” Soyeon chuckles, leaning back against the couch and stroking at Kasumi’s ears gently. You wonder what she’ll say, given it’d mean her best friend having Jungkook’s baby before she does.
Some women wouldn’t be on board with that, and you suppose it’s a sign of how much Chungha loves and trusts you both that she’s querying you both with this. On the other hand, you have complete confidence that if you both turned her down then she wouldn’t be offended and they would instead use a sperm bank as she’d said.
Chungha turns more to Soyeon, playing with her hands as her nerves ramp up. It must be affecting Ciri because the dog sits up, tilting her head and staring almost in concern at your friend. Smiling, you scoop Ciri into your lap and scratch behind her ears until her back leg is going.
“You can say no, I won’t be offended. Nor would Dahyun, if she could be here. We don’t expect anything. I just wanted to ask you both first because I felt it’d be rude of me to just go to him instead of querying with you two. You’re my best friends and they are your boyfriends after all. Also, Jungkook can definitely say no too. Once again, we don’t expect him to agree if he’s not comfortable with it. I just...wanted to ask, you know? We kinda considered all of Hoseok’s friends because neither of us has many male friends and we’d love to be able to have a better idea of the donor’s personality, a more detailed medical history and everything. Plus, with us having to do everything medically then it helps to make it a little more ‘normal’ for us. He doesn’t have to be involved in the baby’s life if he doesn’t want to be, otherwise, I’d just like for him to be known as an uncle. In the future, we’d tell them who their sperm donor was if Jungkook was okay with it and they wanted to know.” You find yourself nodding, appreciating the fact that Chungha and Dahyun have thought this through.
While Soyeon might agree to let them ask Jungkook, there was every chance that Jungkook might not want to agree anyway. Maybe he doesn’t like the idea of another woman having his baby, even if he won’t have any rights to it. Some people didn’t like things like that. Or maybe he just didn’t want to, for whatever reason.
The fact that she was making it clear that Jungkook and Soyeon were both allowed, even encouraged, to say no if they felt uncomfortable at any moment settled you. You didn’t want to think that your friends were being forced or coerced into something just because they felt that they had to do it.
“Would it be cheaper though? I mean, I’m assuming they’d have to do tests and stuff to make sure he’s not got any diseases or genetic things that they ideally don’t want to pass on? Doesn’t that cost a lot?” Chungha sighs and nods, her lips turning down slightly.
“We would, but the difference is that I doubt we’d have to do those tests often. So if he agreed then we’d have the tests done but then after that, we don’t pay anything else. The sperm bank that was recommended to us is $1000 for just one vial of sperm. So if that doesn’t work then we have to pay out again. And I’m not saying we wouldn’t pay Jungkook, we’re both willing to offer but the idea of being stung for that much for a tiny vial is painful.” The price makes your eyes bulge while Soyeon’s jaw drops.
“Holy shit! A thousand dollars for something he just washes away? Fucking hell, he’s wasting thousands every time he jacks off. Oh my god, that must be the most expensive thing I’ve ever had in my mouth then.” Snorting, you bite your lip in amusement as you consider how many times Hoseok had ejaculated with you. Though you doubted the man was getting anywhere near a thousand dollars, it was still mind-boggling to know that the price tag on a cumshot.
“It’s ridiculous, right? I mean, okay it’s not really because obviously, they have to do all those tests and stuff. But still! You can understand why we were shocked. Either way, if you or Jungkook says no then we’re going to go that way. I want you to know that we’re not laying all our eggs in one basket. No pun intended there.” That makes all of you chuckle, the mood lightening up as you do so.
Reaching forward to the box you’d placed on the coffee table, you grab another cookie before handing more out to the two of them. Each takes one with a grateful smile before biting into it.
“I’m okay with it. I’m not sure whether I want kids or not and I think we’re just taking it as an ‘if it happens then it happens’ approach. So, to me, I’m not bothered if Jungkook says yes. Plus, you’re my best friend and I’d much rather you have a baby where you know the dad and can get more information from him. And oh my god, Jungkook would make such good babies. They’d be adorable and he has the sweetest personality!” Soyeon squeals, shaking the cookie around in excitement as she imagines his metaphorical children.
For a moment, you imagine it as well and can’t help but smile. You certainly hoped that his babies would all get his big, emotive eyes alongside his endearing personality. Before you can comment on it though, Soyeon continues.
“I will make it clear though, that he doesn’t have to say yes. He might not be comfortable with the idea of having someone he knows having his kid. Or he might not like the idea of not being involved in their lives in a father kind of way. On the other hand, he might turn around and say that he isn’t bothered at all and will give you as much as you want. But I want it to be up to him. Thankfully, I’m not a hugely possessive person so I’m not bothered by the idea of his kids with someone else.”
Watching Chungha’s face carefully, you can’t help but smile at the palpable relief that spreads over it upon Soyeon’s words. That smile vanishes though when you see her eyes glisten, the unshed tears forming fast and causing you to gently put Ciri onto the floor before you’re scooting over to her. Wrapping your arms around her, you make reassuring noises.
You’re not one to get emotional, nor can you handle other people’s emotions, but your best friends are different. They’ve been in your life for long enough by now that you feel the urge to care for them, to listen to their worries and soothe their fears. Seeing Chungha, who is normally so strong, starting to cry at Soyeon’s words makes your stomach hurt.
“Hey, hey!” Soyeon gushes, rushing over to the other side of Chungha until you’re all in some kind of weird cuddle fest. It just makes Chungha let out a laughing sob, the sound thick as the tears slowly start to fall.
“I’m sorry. I just didn’t know if I was doing the right thing asking you both this. I know it’s something so big and important. You might have told me to fuck off and got angry with me at even thinking of it and I was so scared that you’d be annoyed by it. I mean, how many other people are going to ask their friends if they can have some of their boyfriends’ sperm to knock up their partner?” Wiping at her tears, you tut softly as you try to erase the eyeliner and mascara that’s begun to smear as well.
“I mean, it is a slightly odd ask. I think we can both agree with that,” Soyeon nods in agreement, running her fingers through Chungha’s hair. “But we’re your best friends. You didn’t demand this from us, you gave us a choice and made it clear we can deny it. I’ll be honest, if Hoseok hadn’t got the snip then I would’ve said no. I’m not personally comfortable with the idea of someone else having his baby. But I know that you would have accepted that choice and not tried to push me. Same as you’ll accept whatever decision Jungkook makes.”
“Yeah, she’s right. We love you, and we know you love us which is why you felt you could ask this of us. I’m more than happy to help my best friend start her family and I know that Dahyun has made you happier than anyone else has over the years. If everything works out then I’m going to be the coolest aunt ever.” Grinning brightly, Soyeon manages to succeed in making Chungha laugh softly.
Getting up, you rush off to the bathroom before coming back and handing her some tissue and make-up remover wipes to clean up her face. A brief smile of gratitude is given to you before she proceeds to scrub at her face.
“You’ll both be great auntie’s. Even if you’re not going to be hugely into the whole thing.” She’s looking at you then, wry amusement in her eyes as her lips twist slightly. Feeling heat spread in embarrassment at her words, you shrug and murmur an apology.
“Don’t worry, we won’t push anything on you. That is, even if it manages to happen. Who knows, maybe we’ll get approved for adoption super quick and we go through that first instead? I have no idea what’s going to happen.” At that moment, Ciri decides to make her presence annoy with a shrill yap.
Looking down at the floor, you chuckle at the sight of her annoyed face that she got pushed off the couch. Reaching out, she jumps up and wiggles herself so that she’s half on Chungha and half on you.
“Okay, I think we’ve had enough emotional and in-depth talks for today. Or at least, for this hour. How about we put on YouTube and just start watching animals being funny? Cheer us all up.” Reaching out for the controller, you exit Netflix as Soyeon nods.
The conversation isn’t quite over, you can tell that much, but you know that for now it’s just being put onto the back burner. You don’t have much more participation you can give the whole thing given you’re not being involved in it, but you’re sure that Chungha and Soyeon will talk everything out much more in-depth before Soyeon asks Jungkook.
It’s an important topic but given Chungha’s emotional nature right now, you don’t want to push it any further just yet. Instead, you figure it’s time to lighten the mood a little before any more serious talk can be had.
“Find one of those TikTok compilations, they’re so funny.” This comes from Soyeon as she points at the screen.
“What? No way, you have to watch like 20 TikTok’s to find one funny one. Vine was so much better.”
“Those are fighting words.”

Come and take a gander at my f’d brain
I’m bored and also throbbing with ~inspiration~ for projects I really don’t feel like doing right now, so I thought I’d throw out some trashed or halfdone fic ideas that I’ve lost steam on over the years.
If you wanna steal or adapt any of these ideas, be my bloody guest - hopefully you do them better justice than I did.
WARNING. They are mostly south park fics, and therefore should not be read by anyone. I do have some juicy IZ ones - but they’re all still fresh in the oven, still usable, so nobody gets to have an early taste.
Make Love Not Warcraft AU
I was actually pretty hyped for this oneshot. It takes place when they’re in highschool, Stan and Kyle play World of Warcraft just like they did as kids. Basically they find each other anonymously without knowing it, and through teamspeak when they start questing together, Stan thinks Kyle is a girl because of his character (and the fact that Kyle hides his identity with a badly disguised voice). Essentially they have a romp session on the game, and being the weebs that they are, think it’s true love and try to find out who the other is. When they reveal themselves, it’s awkward as fuck - but you know, you can probably guess what happens next. I never had the balls to actually write it, because surprise: I’ve never played World of Warcraft and I was going to make a huge fool of myself pretending to understand a game that makes up a key part of the story.
Stan and Kyle work in a hospital together
This is a continuation of an old oneshot of mine, Contagious Attraction, which was an au Stan and Kyle met working in a hospital. In the part 2, it’s Stan’s pov, where after Kyle’s period of work is over, they struggle to keep in contact now that they no longer work side by side, and the little romance they started dies. Stan misses him, starts to fall for him in the absence, but when they meet up he fails to convey that and makes it out like they should keep contact in a fuck-buddy kind of way. It’s awkward and Kyle isn’t into it, and lots of angst and miscommunication later they finally clear up their feelings and make out or something equally gay. It’s a pretty half-assed storyline, I didn’t ever get around to cleaning it up.
Bunny sugar daddy AU
This one is very simple, and just a half-baked smut idea. They’re adults, Kenny is super poor and needs some goddamn money, and Butters (supervillain style business tycoon based on franchise prequel), offers him to be his sugar baby. Kenny accepts, but is surprised that in fact the super rich important ceo asshole doesn’t wanna fuck him, he wants it the other way around. There’s basically nothing else about this but that concept, I just think there’s nothing purer than evil powerful Butters taking it up the ass.
Style videogame store rivalry
This idea was based off an artwork I found ages ago that I cannot for the life of me find out who the artist is, but essentially Kyle works at the mall in a Microsoft store selling overpriced Xbox’s to fools, and Stan works at the adjacent Sony store doing the same for ps4′s. They’re meant to have a rivalry like all the other employees - but they’re besties, that’s impossible. I never really extended the plot beyond that lazy introduction, all that matters is that Kenny works for both stores cos he’s a traitorous whore just like Black Friday Trilogy.
Stan mermaid AU
This one was actually in progress and getting gradually updated on AO3 in 2020, but being the self-hating rat that I am, I grew to loathe the story. It’s orphaned now (just you try and find it). The gist is that Stan is an orca looking mermaid dude that Kyle (a marine biologist in LA) discovers and befriends (original right?) and gives heaps of food and teaches him about humans. He studies him, until Stan says he’s gonna have to leave soon, and Kyle panics at the potential lost opportunity and friendship and offers Stan stay in his saltwater pool at his house, which he accepts. Their relationship grows, Stan gets around with a wheelchair and even travels outside of his house with a blanket covering his tail. They do sappy couple shit, it’s just a nice slice of life fic. Things do get physical because of course they do. Queer platonic was always an option, but mermaid poon! I’m always up for exploring weird inhuman sex. Imagine Shape of Water kind of thing, pretty fucked up. Parents get involved and they pretend Stan’s human for them, and goofy stuff like that. There isn’t much tension aside from the fact that Stan has basically gone native and his folks don’t like that, and honestly the story wasn’t really going anywhere special. I had 30 other fics in progress at the time (not an exaggeration), and I’m awful at focusing on one at a time, so it just wasn’t getting done. I cut my losses and moved on, and it’s in the void now.
Hollywood pornstars Style fic
I started this one excited about the plot, but the longer I went the more I grew to hate the entire story. It was another in progress fic posted on AO3 that I deleted in my mass clean up at the start of the year. The idea is that Stan and Kyle are both pornstars (not cliche at alllll), had never met before, but they were asked to do a shoot together. They don’t like each other at first, but they make very good film chemistry. The become friends (still doing shoots together) and after plenty of social events, sex, drugs and rock and roll parties, they decide to go freelance and do their own company together (still in the porn industry). Eventually they date for real, even monogamously. Being crazy unhinged deviants, they break up and fight alot, and then like a routine have crazy sex and the cycle repeats. It’s toxic, they’re completely fucked up, but they love it. Yada yada they marry, Kyle cheats on him, they divorce and hate each other again. In court, they have a rendezvous, then swear to not go back into their old ways. Stan gets heavy into drinking, stops performing, and goes into a stupor and gets taken to hospital. When he wakes up Kyle is there, and he stays and looks after him, and they rekindle things healthily this time, both give up their old lives and calm down after the scare, and yada yada again they’re domestic and happy and fic ends with their estranged parents coming to visit and say their proud and shit. It’s like a high-stakes sad recovery story that turns sappy. I’m too soft for what I’d planned, the writing wasn’t meeting my standards, and it was just getting too unfamiliar yet personal to feel confident about anymore.
Bunny/ Style/ Candy Genderbend College AU
This one was supposed to be a 3 part story focusing on each relationship in the same universe. I’m a total sucker for genderbend stories and art, but it can be a challenge to get the same feeling to it as normal fics when people can’t resonate like they can the boys. It’s reading a story of original characters. Basically, the first chapter was supposed to be bunny centric, where Kenna (Kenny) meets her new classmate Marjorine (Butters) and start a fun flirty little romance, pretty simple and sweet. Next chapter is style-centric, where Kylie (Kyle) gets dragged to a gay bar by Kenna to stop being so lonely, where she meets Stacey (Stan), who is a total goth and stand-offish. They get to know each other throughout the night, and boom bang in her bedroom afterwards. Next Chapter is Candy-centric, where Wendyll (Wendy) fights with her debate club member Erica (Cartman) very aggressively. That chapter hadn’t earned anymore story lines than that. The concept felt interesting enough at the time, but I got busy with my other projects, and by the time I could work on it - my writing style had completely changed and I had no energy to completely re-write my progress.
Damien comes back to Earth - and Pip is still alive.
The title is exactly what the story is. Damien causes havok up on earth, but the students, now in highschool, still heckle him, so he changes tactics. As though in a groundhog day that he controls, Damien resets time each day so he can repeat and learns from the mistakes he makes - and creates the best and coolest version of himself that his peers will like. He finds Pip and hangs out with him on the days that his tactics fail and the class still hates him, and their relationship develops - as much as it can as Damien keeps repeating time and it’s like meeting Pip all over again. He basically speedruns their relationship each repeat into sexual territory because he’s the son of the devil duh and gets to do that. Pip eventually finds out, along with the other students, and they’re livid. So Damien bounces and Pip is depressed. The ending sucks and is way too over the top and hardcore for the light-hearted tune of the story. Pip ends up killing himself so he can go down to hell to give Damien a piece of his mind - but uh oh now he’s stuck there. Oh well, let’s go get blood married. Pretty lame, so this sucker never made it to the shop floor.
Karen & Tricia punk gf’s
This one is nice and sweet, because I wanted to indulge my beloved little baby karicia and the underfed ship that she is. Karen always goes over the top with fads and trends, whatever Tricia starts doing, Karen follows. Including piercings, DIY tattoos with heated pens, dying hair, all the jazz. Kenny starts to warn her not to fall into fads, like he did when he was young with Chinpokemon, faith-hilling, being metrosexual. I hadn’t developed more storyline than that, it was just the beginnings of a concept. To be honest this more stemmed the idea of drawing them as punk girls, than writing them. In fact - uh, lemme go do that.
The four boys as demons coming to earth AU
It’s sad that I was most proud of this sucker - by far the longest fic I’ve ever planned, but alas I didn’t get far enough to keep my guns, and he got deleted in my AO3 clean up. The plot is very long and convoluted and easily 370,000+ words. I’m not gonna torture you with the whole elaborate plot - which would extend this post about 10 pages trust me, so I’ll give you a brief synopsis (as best I can).
The four main boys are demons down in hell, Stan and Kyle are murderous overlords who fuck, kill servants and eat grapes all day. Cartman is a complete ruthless madman who enjoys waging war on the dead just ‘cause. Kenny is basically the grim reaper with the shitty job of guiding the dead souls in denial of their descent to hell, but he loves it. Satan asks them all to take up a job for him, which is to go up to the living world and fuck shit up (a simple way to put it XD). When they do - they find out that Satan transformed them into kids like their canon ages, and now they have to live in a world where they’re not respected in any capacity like they once were. Also Stan and Kyle can’t bang anymore. So imagine the exact canon show we all know, except they’re secretly demons and their shenanigans are by their own design. Each chapter is on a certain point in the show, and how they try to adjust. Also a neat thing is that Kenny is convinced Butters is an angel planted by heaven - though in reality he’s just the sweetest motherfucker alive. It’s Pip who’s the undercover angel. In the fic, Satan demands that to keep up appearances Stan must engage in a relationship with Wendy to look as humanly normal as possible - which Kyle absolutely hates. So they grow up like this, then get older, post-canon, and Stan and Kyle continue their relationship on the sly, in baby steps. Stan still keeps his appearances up with Wendy, who is oblivious to his true identity.
There are many sideplots just as interesting, but I’ll stick to the main one, where basically Kyle slowly goes more insane the longer Stan stays with Wendy, even though now it isn’t necessary. Fast forward and they get married, and at the wedding Kyle finally can’t handle it any longer, and straight up stabs himself in front of everyone, making sure Stan sees it. Kyle wakes up back in hell, after like 20 years of being on earth, gets emotional and thinks his world is just crumbling around him - which basically revolves around Stan because they were literally created together by Satan to be a part of his war against heaven. Then he finds Stan wrapped around him, and reveals that he went and killed himself at that same wedding, that he didn’t wanna be up there anymore without Kyle there. The fic basically ends there, the other guys stay on earth for the rest of their human lives, to be with the people they grew relationships. A long as fuck hurt/comfort story.
I have more but I’ll leave it there. You’re a true mate if you actually read this nonsense.

So, Persona 5 Royal, huh?
Full disclosure: I had gotten about halfway through November on Wednesday and finished it out Saturday night, which took uhhh about 65-70 hours? Some of that was sitting there waiting for the PS4 controller to recharge or listening to music in the Thieves Den while eating, but I still feel like I need to own up to how extremely bad I am at making good decisions with my life XD
MOVING ON, THOUGH, HOLY SHIT. P5 was a very good game, but Royal’s additions & changes made it incredible. I like the ending way more; I think it’s more emotionally fulfilling and meaningful, especially with everyone’s more defined future plans. Definitely felt like everyone had more growth in the end!! Which is something I’d always thought P5 was lacking.
Snip snip for spoilers and the fact that this post ended up being too damn long, oops! the last third is basically Akechi feels and analyzing his ending, so......yeah XD
Part of why I plowed through SO much of Royal in so little time is....Akechi XD Like okay, this is my stupid fandom blog, I can be excited about him all I want!!! I got to Sae’s Palace and just....I couldn’t put it down. @dragonofeternal and I ordered an embarrassing amount of takeout instead of cooking because we just had to see how everything with Maruki and the third semester was gonna go down. I’d already been dying along the way because Akechi’s confidant dates are so good, I just. Fuck!!!
Also, look, for the entirity of Shido’s boss fight and the depths of Mementos/Yaldabaoth/etc, we’d look at each other every few minutes and just be like AKECHI SHOULD BE HERE WITH US, HE DESERVES TO GET HIS VENGEANCE ON HIS SHITTY DAD AND FORCED DESTINY!!!!!
December 24th had to be the longest god damn day in Akira’s life because like. Final exam grades are posted in the morning! He goes to school and then dives into hell, crawls his way back out, briefly dies by fading from human cognition, fights an actual fucking god, and then....ends up dissociating in Shibuya until Sae shows up and is like “oh hey thanks for everything you did, please sign up for being arrested now.” And while he’s still reeling from that, Akechi walks up to take his place, like some kind of bullshit knight in shining armor schtick, and leaves no room for conversation.
AND THEN WE HAVE TO GO ON A DATE
I romanced Hifumi this time around, because I wanted Akria to bang a girl who is just so incredibly out of his league, but....it’s not necessarily that I forgot I was dating someone, more that it had been *so many hours of plot* that I was emotionally exhausted. Like, Hifumi texted me and I was just like. Right. RIGHT. It’s still Christmas Eve, somehow. I was at *school* this morning. The whole world merged with Mementos briefly in the middle of this, Akechi is somehow alive, and I guess I’m going on a date now????
I do appreciate how many “god I’m just dissociating my way through this” conversation options there were for the date, tbh. I feel bad though, I really like Hifumi, but I feel like Akira is not giving a date his full emotional attention at that specific time. It feels a bit like emotional whiplash, more so than I remember it being in P5? Maybe it’s because I played it 4 years ago and there wasn’t the added emotional weight of Akechi’s reappearance, but it was just like....a lot, in Royal.
AND THEN THE NEW YEAR HAPPENED. I’d been spoiled on large parts of the third semester, mostly because Royal’s been out for a year already and I’m too curious for my own good. I’d also somehow lied to myself, saying I didn’t have time to play another Persona game right now, and yet here I am, 171 hours of game play within exactly a month, kicking myself for not knowing how deep in Persona hell I would get XD
Which is to say, as soon as the new year started, it felt I was drowning in anxiety. I knew something was wrong, I knew they were in a false reality, but knowing that sure as fuck didn’t make it easier to go through. If anything, it was somehow worse, knowing that it was all gonna come crumbling down, but I didn’t yet know the exact details, only the broad strokes of it. Just. Every time someone talked about something that was wrong, my heart would clench.
God, I’m so fucking tired, I pulled an all-nighter on Friday so I could get through Royal before having to work on Sunday, and I am feeling it right now. Life tips: don’t do what I do XD
Every moment with Akechi felt like borrowed time, at least for me, because I knew what was coming. I spent so much time in Mementos with him; I ended up putting just him and Akira in my party and plowing through everything, including trouncing the Reaper over and over just for the hell of it. I got his ultimate weapons, I spent so many nights in the jazz club with him that he ran out of dialogue options, and I still took him back for more. I accidentally failed to EVER trigger Sumire’s Showtime because every fight was just Akira and Akechi against the world, because fuck it, I’m playing this for fun!! If I want to play with them in stupid costumes and no one else in the party, I’m gonna. Royal did such an incredible job giving Akechi more depth and development: it was all I could hope for, and it made it that much fucking worse to know what was in store for him.
Somehow, I thought it would be harder for me to make the decision to refuse Maruki’s deal, since fuck, fuck what I wouldn’t give for Akechi to be alive???? But I barely hesitated, only really stopping because I had to emotionally brace myself for it, because a reality where he can’t carve out his own fate would be a disrespect to everything their relationship is built on.
I have a whole shit ton of feelings about post-beating Maruki but they’re basically all Akechi related meta so somehow they ended up at the end of this post, I’m sorry XD
I understand that they had to keep the going to jail bit because 1) Akechi didn’t turn himself in, Akira did and 2) it leads to the final events of the game, but let me just say....the emotional roller coaster of fighting Maruki, almost failing multiple times, waking up in jail, the Phantom Thieves & friends getting Akira out of jail, celebrating that, and then getting thrown into Valentines Day was a LOT for my heart to take. Once again, didn’t forget I had a girlfriend, just got too invested in the plot to really be thinking about her. It’s less than two weeks after the fight with Maruki and somehow, everything is supposed to be okay????
The scene with everyone talking about their future plans is such good character growth, though. Everyone feels like they’ve truly grown and are making decisions that, even though they might be painful or hard at times, are ultimately very important to them. It’s a really good contrast to the “almost everyone goes to Shujin and they all stay in Tokyo forever without doing anything for themselves” Maruki’s perfect reality bad end.
Standing in the Underground Mall on White Day, being told I had to get flowers but finally being able to have control of Akira again was....so bittersweet. The fact that the location of the date is the aquarium is a low fucking blow, and I almost threw the controller across the room I was so upset. Like. THE AQUARIUM IS UNLOCKED BECAUSE AKECHI HAS TICKETS HOW FUCKING DARE SOJIRO SUGGEST IT LIKE MY HEART ISN’T STILL ACHING????? God, speaking of that: The fucking god damn Featherman video game tore my heart out because I ended up playing it WHILE WORKING ON SHIDO’S PALACE and I cried a ton about Gray Pigeon because of course they had to dig the emotional knife in even deeper!! Just fuck me up, it’s fine, I’m just dying!!!!!!!!!!!!
I ended up scrolling through his texts to find the group chats that still had Akechi in them, and fuck, it was a LOT. Like. Maybe it’s because I’m too invested in the two of them, but it was probably the worst emotional whiplash of the whole game. Like, how am I supposed to go play happy with anyone while staring at texts from a reality built of lies? It wasn’t real but the proof lives on in his phone and his heart, and I’m still fucked up over it.
HOWEVER. FUCKING. I SPENT LIKE HALF AN HOUR BEING EMOTIONALLY COMPROMISED ABOUT ALL THIS AND THEN DISCOVERED THE BASTARD STILL HAD ALL HIS EQUIPMENT, INCLUDING THE ULTIMATE MALE ARMOR!!! He returned his shit after Sae’s Palace even though he thought Akira was dead, but this time it didn’t get fucking returned to my inventory, so he must have fucking run off with all his shit!!!!!!! Why the hell did none of it get returned if he was never alive in the true reality? Like I know it'll be returned for a new game+ but I like to nitpick game mechanics for story reasons, because one of the things I love most about video games is the experience of them as another layer to the story. The texts from the third semester shouldn’t exist anymore, since they never really existed, but there they are. Akechi insisted that he has a gap in his memory after Shido’s Palace up until seeing Akira on Christmas Eve, but who can say that wasn’t related to Maruki tampering with reality or some other Persona-related reason?
I mean. I got the full and complete True Ending; I saw him in the train station. If that’s not Akechi, then who the fuck is it? Atlus made sure to put the work in to make him a part of not just the main story but also, especially, the third semester, and for what....to have his final time on screen be as the butt of the joke, squished underneath everyone in the Mona-copter? As much as it hurts, his end in Shido’s Palace matters; it fits his character and he gets to go out fighting- carving his own path, really. In Royal, barring the tiny glimpse of someone who’s probably him in the train station, the last we see of him is when he watches Joker let go of the rope to finish off Maruki. I know we got the heart to heart where Akira agrees to reject Maruki’s deal and Akechi insists that he’d rather be dead than live in a false reality, but.....no one even says goodbye to him. It’s tragic, it’s painfully lonely, but it doesn’t feel right for such a major character.
Also, as undignified as it is, for the first time ever, Akechi looks like he actually belongs in the Phantom Thieves in that final moment. He’s never been the butt of their jokes before; they always kept him at arms’ reach and he took himself too seriously to be included, but for that brief moment, it really felt like he was part of their group. He stopped lying about himself for their last month together, and so even if they don’t all like him, they can make that decision based on the truth, instead of layers of lies. His death is all the more tragic for this; a life cut short just when he’s finally finding a place he belongs. But his death was already painful; why make it so, so much worse?
Final thing: I’m gonna be spending a ton of time in the Thieves Den trying to find Akechi’s opinions on everything, but also....hey. HEY. What do those six stars that Jose (probably?) painted on the wall mean? Is it just a reference to Persona 6???? LIKE????? I HAVE QUESTIONS. SO, SO MANY QUESTIONS!!!!
Anyway, I’ve gotta go cry into my Starbucks and desperately try to focus on actually doing my job at work, but I loved Royal deeply and cannot wait to drown in it ;w;

Ok guys, I need help deciding what to do with the money I have saved from watching this streamer because chances are I am no longer going to win anymore because I am fearing he’s going to stop doing it and I MAAAAY stop watching him because he’s going to be a lostark exclusive channel and honestly? I pass.
The Witcher 3 is on sale at 9.99. It’s one of the options I have clearest to take because it’s the Goty version and all. Spyro is at 13.99 and Crash at 19.99 both trilogies separately (together they’re at 27 which I would get? but that’ll mean nothing else). Shadow of the Tomb Raider is also at 13.99 or so and iti s theo nly Tomb Raider game from that trilogy that I am missing. God Of War 3 is also at 9.99 and God of War (i’d say 4? but you know it’s just called THAT) at 19.99 with its delux edition at 17.99 which means it would be a better choice. I dont know of any other game worth my time because everytime I check the store my PS4 tends to crash as I go through the library. So I dont know if there’s any other game worth checking other than Marvel’s avengers which I want and is also on sale (19.99). And Watch Dogs which is a game I want has the first game at 19.99 and Legion at 20 (i doubt getting Legion would be wise? but eh). Also Fianl Fantasy 7 remake is at 27? But? EH, it leaves me with nothing else.
God Of War games are ones that I am least inclined to get because I want them? But they’re on PS Now and I know I will eventually get them.  I have 31 euros so... what would you recommend I get? Which 2 or 3 given the chance
Mind you though, I still have games untouched from last christmas and I am very busy PS4 wise with FF14 BUT i dont want this money to go to waste basically. So yeah. What would you do?

155 today. I'm kind of sore from all the cleaning I did yesterday. But I have more to do today. I'm also really tired even though I mostly had enough sleep...I think my body clock is just confused. Which makes sense given that I got up at 11:30pm.
Hb is downstairs complaining at his PS4 again. Cleaning will be noisy and distracting enough that I won't have to hear if he starts yelling or something. I'm just really really tired. I've done all my usual morning stuff except I still have a face mask on, and I kind of want to just go back to sleep. But if I fall asleep now I won't be able to clean later because hb will be asleep and want quiet. Idk.
I don't really feel like cleaning but I do want the bathroom to be clean. I bought loads of new skincare stuff and I want a nice place to store and use it. I want my studio in order so I can go in there again and do stuff. I want my bedroom tidy. The kitchen is messy. Everything is messy. I'm just tired too. I want to just buy the new stuff for my bathroom and tidy some other time. Idk.
I don't know what I'd do instead of cleaning. Or when I'm done. I'm up to date on everything I'm watching and reading and whatever. I don't have the creative inspiration to draw or anything. Everything feels pretty pointless. I guess it's around the time when I would normally have a drinking day and that would make things more entertaining. But I don't want to do that for health and weight reasons, and tbh I don't think I even feel like doing that anyway.
I just hate being in this house. This life. My cleaning is an attempt to make it less shit. My skincare products are an attempt to make it less shit. I need something to get better. But I'm so easily tired and right now I'm so tired. I want to curl up in a blanket fort with fair lights and get a hug and watch something nice.

~you're cute
| kim yugyeom x fem!reader
| she works for got7 doing things for them and always being there, she's closet with yugyeom, and he likes her a lot.|
-----
The day started like any other. I always woke up early so I can get ready for whatever the boys had planned for that day. Once I was prepared for the day I made my way to the closest coffee shop. I ordered everyone's favorite in order to get them out of bed to function like humans.
The worst thing was waking them up. So of course when I arrived at the dorm it was quiet. Coco came over to me and I quickly set the drinks on the counter to pet her. " we should probably go wake them up." I said mostly to myself.
I set Coco down and made my way to my first victim. Jinyoung was sound alseep when I knocked on his door so I let myself in. He looked so peaceful. " Jinyoung." I said. He let out a groan. I sighed and opened his curtains. " Jinyoung." He groaned again but I knew he was awake now. " it's time to get up." He sat up in bed and smiled. " please tell me you got coffee." He said. I nodded. " i'll be out." I nodded and moved onto my next victims.
Coco followed me into Youngjae and Mark's room. Youngjae was sleeping while Mark was awake scrolling through his phone. " morning." I said before shaking Youngjae's shoulder. " Youngjae wake up." He didn't budge. So I picked Coco up and placed her on his chest. She began licking his face and he soon let out a laugh. He sat up holding Coco. " there is coffee for you in the kitchen." I said before going to the next room.
The next two to wake up was Jaebeom and Jackson. Jaebeom was easy to wake up but I had to drag Jackson out of bed. Literally drag him out of bed. He laid on the floor glaring at me. " good morning sunshine." I joked. Jackson only glared harder. " Jaebeom please drag him to the kitchen for coffee while i wake the young ones." He laughed and got Jackson up taking the sleepy puppy to the kitchen.
My last battle was always the hardest. I opened the door and sighed. Snack wrappers and empty soda cans littered the floor and the ps4 was still on. " BOYS." I yelled getting no response. The curtains were my next attempt. Bambam groaned and covered his eyes since he was closer to the window. I shook him. " Bam wake up, Bam wake up, BAM WAKE UP." His eyes opened and he let out a groan. " i'm up go away." He said. " nope get your butt to the kitchen or i'll give your coffee to jackson." He rolled out of bed and stomped out of the room.
Some how Yugyeom was still alseep. I'm not sure how but he was. " Yugyeom." He didn't move. I sighed and shook his shoulders. " YUGYEOM." I said louder. He opened his eyes then pulled me into his arms and rolled over trapping me. " Kim Yugyeom." My voice was supposed to sound stern but it came out in a giggle. " sleep." His voice was low and soft. " no yugyeom you need to wake up." His eyes peeked opened.
" I don't want to wake up." He closed his eyes and held me tighter. I sighed and turned around in his arms. His eyes were closed and he looked so peaceful. I moved his hair out of his face. " you're cute." I said. His eyes shot open and he looked at me. The grip he had on me was gone and I took the chance to get out of bed. " meet us in the kitchen so you can get your coffee."
The rest of the boys were sleepily drinking their coffees. " (y/n)." Bambam whined wrapping his arms around me. " what Bam?" I asked. " can you make breakfast?" He asked. I laughed. " Bam i always make you guys breakfast, so go sit down while i cook." Bambam smiled and walked back to his seat at the counter.
Yugyeom came into the kitchen when the food was almost done. He drank some of his coffee then took his normal place which was attached to my hip.
He helped me finish breakfast. The boys entered the kitchen and got the food they wanted. I got loud shouts of thanks as they took their seats at the dining room table.
" what are your plans for today?" I asked sipping on my coffee. " Jackson, Jinyoung and Mark are going with me." Jaebeom said. I nodded. " I'm taking Coco out." Youngjae spoke up. I nodded. " Bam, Gyeom what are you two doing?" I asked. Bambam shrugged his shoulders. " i'll probably just stay home." I nodded. Yugyeom was quiet. " well it doesn't seem like you guys need me today, so i'm going to go home and get some cleaning done." The boys nodded. " but call me if you need anything and i mean it." I said. I got a chorus of okays.
I got my shoes and coat on before Yugyeom rushed over to me dressed and ready to leave. " what are you doing?" I asked. " if it's okay with you i'd like to come to your house today." I nodded. " that's fine." I said.
On our way to my house i stopped at the grocery store. " i just have to grab a few things, you can stay here or come inside but i don't think you brought your mask." I said looking around my car for one. I keep them for the boys when needed. He opened my glove box and grabbed one. " you keep them in here silly." He said putting it on.
Inside the store Yugyeom pushed the cart while i put items in. " (y/n) can we talk about something?" He asked. I turned to him. " yeah sure we can when we get to my place." I assured him.
We ended up going to the mall and then getting lunch. Once we did make it back to my house he seemed anxious. He sat on my couch while i put away the food that was bought. " hey yugyeom do you want to have dinner here for with the boys?" I asked looking through the cabinets to see what to cook.
" can we talk now?" He asked. I walked into the livingroom. " yeah we can." Taking the seat next to him he still seemed anxious. " Yugyeom what's wrong?" I asked. " you called me cute this morning." He said. I giggled. " well because you are." I said.
He sighed again. " you can't tell me that and make me feel this way." He said. He stood up and started to pace. " You just came into my life and you didn't act like previous girls who had your job, you treat us like friend's instead of children or in some cases a damn sex toy. I like everything about you and you do all these things that make me like you more everyday, I've had these feelings for you for 3 years now and i can't keep it in anymore." Yugyeom rushed out.
I sat on the couch silent. Yugyeom gave me a look of panic. " great and you don't feel the same so i should leave and now you'll probably quit because of me and the boys will be upset and i'm sorry." He says before turning towards the door.
" Yugyeom wait." I said. He stopped in his tracks. " will you please come sit down." I said. " why so you can reject me?" I sighed. " Kim Yugyeom sit down." I said. He jumped and took a seat next to me.
" I'm not going to reject you, far from it actually, i've liked you for a long time too. i was just afraid you'd reject me, and of course the thought of loosing my job was always a thought."
Yugyeom was quiet. " you like me too?" He asked. I nodded. He smiled widely. " (y/n) will you go on a date with me?" My smile matched his. " yes." I said. He pulled me into a hug and we rolled onto the floor in a fit of laughter.
I laid in his arms while we looked at each other. " you're cute." He said causing me to blush. " (y/n) can I kiss you?" His voice was soft. I nodded. Our lips met in a sweet kiss and his hands traveled to my waist as he pulled me to straddle him.
We parted from the kiss. He went to kiss my neck but i pushed him back. " not until our date." I joked. He groaned. " (y/n) i need you now." Before i could answer he already had me up and was carrying me to my bedroom.
I'm not sure when we fell alseep but I was woken up to loud knocking on my front door. I groaned and got up quickly pulling shorts on and a random t-shirt.
When I opened the door I was met with the rest of the boys and they all had shit eating grins. " hey (y/n)." Jackson said smirking. " why are you guys here?" I asked. " well you have our precious maknae and it's passed dinner time, we are hungry." Jackson said walking into my house followed by the rest of the boys. " sorry (y/n)." Jinyoung said walking past me. I closed the door after.
Yugyeom came out of my room with his pants on but no shirts because sadly the one i put on was his.
"are you guys finally dating?" Bambam asked. I shrugged. " to be decided now if you' ll excuse us we'll get dressed and then we can get food." I said taking Yugyeom's hand and pulling him towards my bedroom.
His arms went around my waist. " you look good in my shirt." He said. " just get dressed so we dont have to deal with to much teasing." I said throwing his shirt at him.

So 👀 you have inspired me to think about making gifs and/or edits 👀 and I don’t know shit about either. Care to throw some tips at ya girl? 👀 I ain’t even know what the first gah damn step is
I’m really flattered that I’ve inspired you 🥺 I’d be happy to help you get started!
HOW I MAKE A GIF 101:
Tumblr media
1. The first step is acquiring the software needed to create gifs—which means you need Photoshop. I use Photoshop CC and it costs $10 a month with the plan I have. There’s also cracked versions available, but from what I hear they might not be as reliable at times and can be buggier. It’s up to you if you want the cracked or legitimate version. Either way I’m not judging you 😂
2. Gifs are made from video footage, so to begin the process you’ll need footage on your computer. The higher the quality the better. Since I make gaming edits, I record from my PS4 using the share button. I privately upload onto youtube and download them onto my computer. I can also plug a flashdrive into my PS4, but I don’t have a decent one. If the footage is captured on my computer then I don’t have to go through the hassle. You might a screen recording software. I have a PC and with windows 10 I can record by pressing the windows key, alt, and R.
When you have those two things, you’re ready to make a gif! Here are the actual steps to my process. (please note, this is just a tutorial on how to make a basic gif. I’m not going in-depth on my coloring processes and what filters I use and such.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(I apologize for my screenshots being the best 😖)
The first thing you do once you open PS is to go to File, and then from the drop-down menu click Import, and from there Video Frames to Layers. So what we’re doing here is opening up the footage in PS and loading it into frames. Next, a file explorer window will pop up.
Tumblr media
(Yes laugh. I have a folder for heart memes and Arthur. Mind your own business 😂)
So since I download my uploads off of youtube, they are stored in my downloads folder, so I go there to find them and select the clip I want. For today’s example I’ll do a clip from Ghost of Tsushima. Click open.
Tumblr media
This will be your next screen. Here it’s asking to select a range from which to make layers. You’ll notice two beginning and ending slider bars you can use to crop between what part of the video you want to gif. Also note the setting I have of limiting to every 2 frames. Click OK.
Tumblr media
Once that loads, your screen should look like this. If it doesn’t, go to the Window tab in the header bar above and make sure Adjustments, History, Layers, and Timeline are checked off. You can customize your workspace layout however you wish.
So now you have a timeline bar that let’s you play through the frames. Make sure on the bottom left you change Once to Forever. This controls how much the timeline will loop. During my process I play through it and look for where I actually want my gif to start and end, so I do delete frames as needed. When I’m satisfied with the range, I select all of my frames (there’s a short cut in the hamburger menu ≡ up to the right of the timeline bar, click it and find select all frames) and I select all of my layers in the layers window on the right (click first frame and hold the shift key until you select the last frame).
Tumblr media
With everything selected, I now change the frame delay. If you notice on the bottom on each individual frame there’s a decimal number and a downwards arrow. This is the time that elapses before the next frame plays and so on and so forth. I click that arrow and a menu will pop up. Typically, most gifs have a frame delay of 0.05, but I personally find that too fast for game gifs so I set mine to 0.07.  Again, everyone is different, you use what works for you. Anyways if you want to set the delay to 0.05 click Other... from that menu.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Then just type in the amount you want and click OK.
Tumblr media
Now it’s time for the real work to begin. On the bottom left of your timeline panel, click square with the icon of a stack of bars with a slider. This will convert the gif into a video timeline.
Tumblr media
Shit’s gonna look like this now ^
Next, go to the Filter menu from the header bar and select Covert to Smart Filters
Tumblr media
Once it’s converted, go back to the Filter menu and go to Sharpen.
Tumblr media
Select Smart Sharpen.
A new window will pop up.
Tumblr media
Everyone uses different settings, but I typically go with Amount at 500% and Radius at 0.3. This is something you can experiment with, each gif may require different levels of sharpening. I know 150% is another popular option for the amount. Choose whatever you think looks best and makes the image clearer. Sharpening is a very important step.
Now, you’re free to experiment with coloring using the adjustments panel. I’ll typically tinker around with Brightness/Contrast, Levels, Curves, Vibrance, Color Balance, Photo Filter, and Selective Color. I do all of my colorings from scratch and just go by what I think looks good, trusting my eye. Once you’re satisfied with how everything turned out, here’s the next step:
Tumblr media
Go to the File menu, choose Export, and then Save for Web (Legacy).
Now comes the waiting. You can resize the gif before this step by going to the Image menu on top, and then Image size, and type in the dimensions you want. I personally don’t do this because it creates a transparent border around the gif? and it fucks with the specific filters I frequently use and makes it turn out ugly? So that’s why this step takes time for it load.
Tumblr media
In the Image Size box here I type in the dimensions I want. Usually I always do a width of 540, your typical rectangular gif. Hit enter and it will start to resize again. Please note that the Animation box I have the Looping Option set to Forever. That’s very important. Again, everyone is gonna use different settings here based on what they think looks best. I use Quality: Bicubic, Selective coloring and Diffusion dithering. Some people using Pattern dithering and Adaptive coloring.
Once your gif is all ready you can click save. This window will also tell you the size of the gif in that left corner. And that’s it. That’s how you make a gif.
It’s a trial and error process and it takes so much practice. You’re gonna get frustrated, it’s gonna take awhile to learn your way around photoshop, and you’re gonna have to look things up sometimes. There’s many great resource blogs on tumblr for this as well, but for the most part I learned by doing and experimenting.
I know this was long but I hope I explained the process well? Feel free to shoot me more questions if not, I’m always down to help out with this.
Good luck! ♥

Scavenger Hunt
Pairing: (F) Reader x Jackson
Word Count: 6.3k
Genre: Fluff, Romance
Playlist: Rex Orange County - Best Friend || ASTRO - Crazy Sexy Cool || Jackson Wang - I Love You 3000
Summary: After spending way too long stressing over it, Jackson finally decides to plan the perfect proposal for his beloved girlfriend. With the help of his friends, he plans a scavenger hunt with an extra special gift at the end.
Tumblr media
“What about this one?” Jinyoung asked as he pointed to the jewellery from under the glass. Jackson moved to his side and took a look at the ring he was pointing at.
He took a moment to look at it, “Can I have a look at this one, please?” He asked the sales girl who nodded and pulled the drawer out to take the ring out of it’s display to hand it to him. “Jinyoung, ask me to marry you.” He ordered as he held the ring out to his friend.
Jinyoung’s brows furrowed and he stared at him with pure confusion, “What?” He questioned. When Jackson had asked him to accompany him to go ring shopping, Jinyoung didn’t think he’d have to ask Jackson to marry him to see if the ring was the right one.
“I need to see this from her point of view. Ask me to marry you.” He urged as he stepped closer to Jinyoung who gave in with a sigh and took the ring from his hands,
“(Y/n), will you marry me?” He muttered out with a deadpan look. Jackson crossed his arms before shaking his head,
“That’s not the one.” He sighed out as Jinyoung handed the ring back to the sales girl. Jackson continued to browse the jewellery store before stopping at one of the glass displays. “Wait,” He took a moment before turning to the sales girl, “Can I see this one?” He asked. She nodded at him and moved over to take the ring out of it’s display and handed it to him gently,
“This is a very elegant ring. It’s a Barkev’s rose gold collection with three round diamonds in the middle and the outer bands also have round diamonds.” She explained as she watched him gingerly take the ring and look at it, “It’s 1.43ct overall.” Jackson nodded at that and turned around to look for Jinyoung who was eyeing a men’s bracelet being displayed in one of the glass cabinets.
“Jinyoung,” Jackson called, causing him to turn around and face him, “Ask me to marry you.” He held out the ring at him.
“Again?” Jinyoung groaned as he unwillingly made his way over to Jackson. He took the ring from Jackson’s fingers and eyed it for a moment, “Are you sure you need me to ask you? This ring looks really nice.” He stated and enticed a groan out of Jackson,
“Dude, just do it!” He whined at him. Jinyoung rolled his eyes, unable to hold back his smile as he held the ring out in front of him,
“(Y/n), will you marry me?” Once again, using the name of Jackson’s hopefully soon-to-be fiance. Jackson stared at him for a moment.
“Oh my god, I got butterflies. That’s the one.” He breathed out in awe, the corners of his mouth lifting into an open mouthed smile before he turned to the sales girl, “I’ll take this one.” He nodded at her. She returned the nod and took the ring from Jinyoung’s hands before moving behind one of the counters to pack the ring.
“How are you going to ask her?” Jinyoung asked as Jackson nervously rubbed his hands together.
“I’m going to take her out for dinner and I’m just going to ask her. Hopefully she’ll say yes.” He muttered out the last bit as they watched the sales girl put the velvet box into a bag.
“I’m pretty sure (Y/n) would say yes. You guys have been going out for…” Jinyoung trailed off as he counted the years in his head, “Four years?” It came out more as a question as he turned to Jackson.
“Five, but I don’t know. Sometimes people say no for different reasons.” He sighed out as he moved to the counter to pay for the ring. Jinyoung watched his friend with his lips pursed. He knew how nervous Jackson could get whenever it came to things that were (Y/n) related. Now was no exception.
All of them were wondering when Jackson would pop the question and he had actually been stressing over it for almost a whole year. He wanted her by his side; forever. Jinyoung was up for anything if it included him helping Jackson plan the whole affair which was why Jackson had asked him to help him look for a ring.
They left the jewellery store and walked side-by-side as they made their way back to (Y/n) and Jackson’s shared apartment. Jinyoung glanced over at Jackson who was obviously too caught up in his thoughts by the way he was softly muttering to himself as they walked.
“Is saying ‘will you marry me’ just too straightforward or should I mix it up a bit?” Jackson asked, turning to Jinyoung who thought about it for a moment before shrugging,
“How can you mix up ‘will you marry me’?” He questioned as he turned to Jackson.
“I don’t know, I can rap for her.” He shrugged.
“Oh god, don’t.” Jinyoung snorted, “You could write her a song, but a rap?”
“I don’t know, Jinyoung. It’s not everyday I have to ask my girlfriend to marry me.” Jackson rolled his eyes with a huff.
“Yeah, but when you do, she’ll definitely say yes.” He reassured him. Jackson looked at him with a wide smile,
“You really think so?” He questioned.
“Of course, Jacks. She’s seriously in love with you. That much all of us can tell.” Jinyoung chuckled as he slung an arm over Jackson’s shoulders. “If she doesn’t say yes, I’ll marry you, how about that?” He joked.
“I’d marry Mark hyung before I’d marry you.” Jackson snorted as he pushed away from him.
“Are you going to do it tonight?” He questioned further.
“She’s busy tonight. I guess it gives me more time to plan everything, but I’m worried it’s not grand enough. What if she’s expecting something more romantic? What if she’s expecting something grand or amazing or massive or-”
“I have an idea.” Jinyoung cut him off with his words and the raise of his finger, “Let us help. I’m pretty sure the other guys won’t mind it and BamBam plans parties really well.” He suggested, emphasizing on ‘really’.
“I don’t want a party.” Jackson shook his head, “I want to do something romantic for her. If we plan a party, I might bail on asking her and get drunk instead.” He pointed out.
“A drunk proposal?” Jinyoung cocked his eyebrow suggestively, earning a shove from Jackson.
“Jinyoung, I’m serious.” He crossed his arms over his chest.
“Okay, let's ask all of them to meet at your apartment and see if any of them have good ideas.” He suggested.
“That sounds like a good idea.” Jackson nodded but quickly stopped himself, “Oh, but if the maknaes make any suggestions that are dumb, I’m kicking them out.” He grumbled out as he watched Jinyoung pull his phone out of his pocket.
Jinyoung stayed on his phone for a while before putting it away, “They’re coming. I told Bam and Yugyeom that if they suggest anything stupid, you’ll kick them out, but I have a feeling they’ll still suggest weird stuff anyway.” He chuckled. Jackson rolled his eyes at that,
“I swear if they suggest anything weird at all, I’m going to cry.” He huffed out yet again, causing Jinyoung to chuckle at him.
The walk to Jackson’s apartment didn’t take much longer. Yugyeom and Youngjae were already inside of Jackson’s apartment by the time they reached the building. Perks of your friends knowing the code to your front door; sometimes they reach your place before you do. Cons of your friends knowing the code to your front door; they show up uninvited at the worst times.
“When did you guys get here?” Jackson asked when he saw the two sitting on his living room couch and playing with his PS4.
“Like 5 minutes ago. Youngjae hyung got here first.” Yugyeom hummed out as he kept his eyes on the TV screen.
“Mark hyung is on the way. He had to pick up BamBam because he was sad Yugyeom left without him.” Youngjae chuckled as he angled himself to look over the couch to Jackson and Jinyoung.
“Jaebeom hyung is probably going to be late as usual.” Yugyeom jokes as he paused the game and turned around to look at his hyungs, “So, what’s the plan?” He questioned, all of them watching as Jackson pulled the red velvet box out of the paper bag and opened it to reveal the ring to all of them.
“Holy shit, hyung, it’s so pretty.” Youngjae gasped when he saw the ring. “If you proposed to me with that ring, I’d say yes.” He joked. Jackson chuckles, closing the box and putting it back into the bag.
“We wait for the others to get here first, then we can start planning it.” He smiled at them. They hung around the apartment for a while mostly watching Yugyeom play GTA when beeping came from the front door. Everyone but Yugyeom turned their attention to Mark and BamBam as they stepped into the apartment,
“I’m just saying that if you spent less time choosing a jacket, we would’ve been here sooner.” Mark huffed as he closed the door and glared at BamBam.
“I gotta look nice, bro.” BamBam shrugged as he took his shoes off and stepped into the living room, “Jaebeom hyung is the last to show up?” He questioned when he took notice of the missing man.
“He’s MIA as usual. He’s never on time.” Jinyoung stated before turning his attention back to the TV where Yugyeom had managed to steal a car and escape the police despite GTA’s game logic.
“When is he ever?” Mark joked, kicking off his shoes and plopping himself onto the spot on the couch beside Youngjae, his feet hanging off of the armrest.
“Are you asking her tonight?” BamBam asked as he sat on the armrest beside Jackson.
“No, she has work.” He sighed out as he looked at the clock on the wall. (Y/n) would be coming home late tonight, causing Jackson to scratch the plan of taking her out to dinner.
“Tomorrow?” He questioned further.
“Depends on what you guys have in mind. If none of your suggestions make sense or work, I’ll just take her out to dinner, then a walk in the park and I’ll ask her.” He pursed his lips.
“Jackson hyung’s worried noona won’t say yes.” Youngjae brought up the topic that Jinyoung had mentioned a few minutes prior, wanting the two to help reassure him.
“She’ll definitely say yes.” Mark reassured him, “I’d marry you.” He chuckled.
“Why do you all keep saying that?” Jackson laughed as he looked at all of them.
“You’re a romantic. If I was a girl, I’d marry you, too.” BamBam shrugged. Jackson stared at all of them with a confused yet amused look on his face.
“You’re just really sweet, Jackson.” Jinyoung chuckled as he patted his shoulder and sat himself on the sofa couch.
“Yeah, you’re nice.” Yugyeom muttered out without taking his attention off of the game.
“Thanks? I guess?” Jackson let out another laugh just as the front door opened and Jaebeom - finally - emerged. He took his shoes off and stepped into the living room.
“Took you about damn time.” Youngjae glared at him.
“I had to take a shit, get off my back.” Jaebeom huffed out as he sat on the ground in front of the couch. “So, are we planning a proposal or not?” He questioned as he leaned back on his arms.
“I’m open to any suggestions.” Jackson shrugged.
“We were just talking about how we’d all marry Jackson hyung since he was scared (Y/n) noona wouldn’t accept him.” BamBam said. Jaebeom looked to BamBam then to Jackson,
“I’d marry you.” He shrugged.
“Oh my god!” Jackson threw his arms up into the air, “Okay, enough of you guys saying you’d marry me. Help me think of something.” He crossed his arms over his chest and looked between all of them.
Jackson sat beside Jinyoung and started to quietly discuss with him. BamBam puts his hand into the paper bag and pulls the velvet box out, opening it.
“HOLY SHIT!” He exclaims when he sees the ring, immediately catching everyone’s attention. Jaebeom and Mark quickly scurry behind him to take a look at the ring and they both let out a gasp in unison,
“Jackson, this ring is fucking gorgeous.” Jaebeom points out as he gingerly took the box from BamBam’s hands and to take a closer look at it.
“1.43ct.” BamBam deadpans as he looked a Jackson who looked at him incredulously,
“How did you know?” He asked with a dropped jaw.
“It’s BamBam. He’s young and rich. If he didn’t know how many carats a ring was, I’d be more confused.” Yugyeom joked as he winked at BamBam.
“If Bam didn’t know how many carats a diamond was, I’d feel like he was throwing his money away with less care than he already does.” Mark joked and closed the box, handing it back to Jackson who slipped the box into the pocket of his jeans.
“Okay, less talk about the ring, more talk about the proposal.” Jackson grunted.
“Plan a party.” BamBam suggested. “Oh! Can I plan a party?!” He excitedly jumped off of the floor and looked at Jackson with wide eyes.
“We’re not having a party, you can plan one in your own time.” He huffed out.
“Cover the apartment in roses.” Youngjae suggested.
“That feels too cliche.” Jackson shook his head.
“Pretend you’re not interested in marriage.” Mark suggested.
“That’s stupid.”
“You’re stupid.”
“Stop it.” Jinyoung snapped at the two.
“If you spend the whole day with her, she might suspect something.” Jaebeom pointed out. Yugyeom nodded his head in agreement as he finally paused the game to put his attention on his friends.
“But if you spend no time with her at all, she also might suspect something.” Youngjae added.
“Maybe take her to where you guys had your first date?” The maknae suggested, “You can spend time with her there and boom, you’re on one knee.”
“That sounds nice.” Jinyoung nodded, “It’s simple.”
“If I make it too simple, what if it doesn’t meet her expectations?” Jackson’s eyes trailed to the ground as he started to fiddle his thumbs nervously. His doubt was starting to fill him yet again. His friends exchanged looks, telepathically making up a plan before turning to him,
“Ring in the champagne?” BamBam suggested.
“She might choke on it.” Mark pointed out.
“Ring in the cake?” Youngjae piped in.
“The ring’s going to be covered in cake.” Jinyoung shook his head. They deflated as they started to run out of ideas.
“Oh!” BamBam exclaimed, “Write a rap for her!” He suggested.
“That was exactly what I told him not to do.” Jinyoung shook his head once again. Wearing his typical ㅍㅅㅍ face as he looked at BamBam.
“Raps aren’t romantic.” Jaebeom muttered out as he held his chin in his hand, his mind wracking to see if he could come up with anything at all to aid Jackson. “What time is she coming home tomorrow?” He asked.
“Six in the evening. Why?” Jackson looked up at him with almost sad eyes.
“Have great sex and then pop the question.” BamBam suggested. All their looks immediately turned into glared towards BamBam.
“Okay, we warned you. Get out.” He grumbled as he stood up and picked BamBam up by the arm.
“I’m joking!” He moved his arm away from Jackson and hid behind Jaebeom.
“Bam, it has to be perfect!” He whined as he glared at him. BamBam muttered out a sorry and moved away from Jaebeom when he felt like he was safe.
Jackson let out a sigh and crumbled to the ground with his hands covering his face. He let out a muffled scream before standing up and looking at all of them.
“Oh! A scavenger hunt!” Mark raised his hand excitedly, “You can leave little notes all over the place and we can wait at certain spots and at the end it’ll lead her to you!” He explained his plan with so much excitement it scared all of them. Jackson stared at him for a moment,
“That actually isn’t too bad.” He hums out.
“It’s a pretty cute idea.” Jinyoung agrees, nodding his head. “Just give us places to wait and whatever you wanna give her and we’ll give her hints on where to go throughout the hunt.” He turns to Jackson who was smiling widely.
“I actually really like that idea.” He bites his lip. He imagined the whole scenario playing in his head and he could feel the excitement starting to bubble in the pit of his stomach.
“When’s her next day off?” Yugyeom questioned.
“This Saturday.”
“That gives us two days to plan this.” Jaebeom nodded.
“Okay, scavenger hunt. Let’s do this.” Jackson claps his hands together as he sits on the edge of the coffee table and starts to plan the affair with the help of his friends. He pulled his phone out and started thinking of gifts that all of them could hold while waiting at their respective spots and sent the list to their group chat.
“We have two days to buy all of this. Are you sure you trust Yugyeom and BamBam to go out and buy the more expensive ones?” Youngjae raised a brow when he saw that Yugyeom and BamBam were supposed to buy jewellery.
“If there’s anything we know about BamBam is that he has a great taste in jewellery.” Jinyoung answered him, glancing at BamBam and silently pleading for him to take it seriously.
“When it comes to diamonds and gold, I don’t mess around.” BamBam let out a conceited sigh and leaned back into the sofa with a smirk on his face, “Hyung, trust me, you won’t regret sending me to buy the necklace.”
“I’ve already sent all the things I need in the group chat. God, please, don’t buy anything unnecessary or anything else other than ice cream and the jewellery set.” He pleaded the two. They gave him nods of reassurance before he moved on to the others.
“Why do I get a teddy bear?” Jaebeom questioned, slightly offended at such a minor task.
“Hyung, you’re never on time. If you get there late, it’s just a bear.” Yugyeom snorted at him.
“You little-” Jaebeom raised his hand at him.
“You get the bear because the location is closest to your apartment.” Jackson explained before squinting his eyes at him, “Don’t be late.” He warned, pointing at him.
“Youngjae, you get the park since you take Coco on walks. Mark hyung, you get the cafe since I’ve never seen you not drinking coffee. Yugyeom, you’re at the cinema because I don’t want you doing anything dumb anywhere else. BamBam, you wait at the restaurant and Jinyoung, you wait at the apartment to begin the entire thing.” Jackson explained everything, reading the plan through the notes he had jotted down into his phone and looked up at all of them.
They all nodded after he finished, agreeing with the plan.
“So, after Jinyoung sets her off, she’ll go to the cafe, then to the park, Jaebeom’s apartment, the restaurant and finally, the cinema where Yugyeom will send her back to the apartment. Jinyoung,” Jackson turned to Jinyoung, “You have to help me cover the apartment in rose petals and candles. The moment she leaves our place, you have to tell me.” Jinyoung nodded at him. “After you guys give her the gifts and her next locations, come back to the apartment as fast as you can to help me get everything ready.”
“Oh, wait, what if you cover the apartment in pictures of you two together?” Jaebeom suggested. Jackson’s eyes lit up at that and he turned to Jinyoung who was already silently agreeing to help him print the pictures.
“Thank you guys so much.” He opened his arms as a signal for them to hug him and Mark was the first to throw himself into Jackson’s arms.
“Our Wang Puppy’s getting married!” He excitedly squealed as everyone joined in on the hug.
“Can’t believe you’re actually going to do this.” Youngjae laughed as he pulled away from them, “Who would’ve thought Jackson would be the first to get married?” He shook his head and sat back down on the couch.
“Yeah, I’m the first. If anything goes wrong because of you guys, I’m going to beat all of you.” Jackson warned all of them with his arm slung over Jinyoung’s shoulders.
“We’ll try not to.” Mark jokes. “If anything happens, just marry one of us.”  He let out a laugh. Jackson shoots him a glare before continuing to explain the rest of his plan to them. Hopefully, it goes as planned.
(Y/n) returned later that day with a sigh as she kicked off her heels, finally relieved that she could rest her legs after the long day she had. She walked into the bedroom only to see Jackson already laying in bed, his snoring bringing a smile to her face. After the day she had just had, she wanted nothing more than to snuggle up to Jackson and finally let sleep take over.
She hung her bag on the rack next to the bedroom door and moved around the room as quietly as she could as to not wake up her sleeping prince. She took a glance at Jackson’s sleeping figure as she stood at one of the drawers and opened it, pulling out a locked box she had hidden behind their clothes.
Unlocking the box she pulled out a black velvet box and opened it, admiring the ring she had gotten for Jackson. Worried that he wouldn’t propose at all from being too nervous, she was ready to make the first move and propose to him instead. The sight of the white, yellow and pink gold wedding band that she had gotten from Cartier - hah - tickled her on the inside and brought a smile to her face as she glanced over at Jackson once more.
The sight of Jackson moving around in the bed made her quickly shut the box and keep it in the locked box, awaiting the weekend where she would ask him on her day off. She took a quick shower and dressed herself in one of his t shirts - that he insisted she used as nightwear - and got herself into their bed.
Jackson stirred in his sleep, instinctively wrapping his arms around her waist when he felt her presence and immediately snuggled his face in the crook of her neck. (Y/n) let out a soft giggle and pressed a kiss to the top of his head, her nose lingering in his hair to inhale his scent before leaning her head back to let herself drift off into a much needed sleep.
(Y/n) woke up on the Saturday morning displeased when she reached over to Jackson’s side only to feel the cold sheets instead of her warm boyfriend. She sat up groggily and rubbed her eyes with the back of her hands as a yawn left her lips. She looked around the room, her eyes landing on Jackson’s side of the bed to see a sticky note sitting on the messy sheets.
Scavenger hunt time! Today I’ve prepared a fun hunt for you to do, my lovely (Y/n). Go into the hallway where Jinyoung is waiting for you to begin your hunt! Loves and kisses, your Wang Puppy <3
She felt a giddy feeling fill her stomach as she excitedly threw the covers off of herself and got ready. She loved it whenever Jackson would do scavenger hunts; something he seldom did due to his busy schedule. She hopped into the shower and put on a cute skater dress, making sure to grab the ring out of the dresser just in case the opportunity arose before stepping out into the hallway.
Jinyoung’s head perked up when he heard the front door open and he smiled when he saw (Y/n),
“(Y/n), good morning. Jackson’s prepared a scavenger hunt for you. This is your gift!” He handed her a small pink box with a red bow on top of it.
“Morning, Jinyoungie.” She greeted him with a smile as she graciously took the box from his hands. She untied the ribbon and pulled open the box to see a scented candle sitting inside of it. She lifted the box to her face and breathed in the scent, a smile breaking onto her face when she figured out the flavour; cinnamon doughnuts.
A little note sat on top of the candle. She pulled out the sticky note and read it aloud,
“Bakeries smell nice, right? Now, our apartment can smell like doughnuts all the time! For your next location, go to the place where we had our first date. There, you’ll find Mark hyung waiting for you for your next clue.”
“You can keep the gift with me, or you can bring it along with you if you’d like.” Jinyoung offered.
“That depends.” She cocked an eyebrow at him, “How many gifts am I getting on this scavenger hunt?” She questions.
“That’s for you to find out.” He chuckled with his hands out, silently letting her know that she was going to get more gifts later on. She closed the box and handed it to him. “Good luck on your quest, (Y/n).” He waved at her as she skipped along the hallway and towards the elevator.
“Thanks, Jinyoungie!” She waved back at him with a wide smile on her face as the elevator doors closed. Jinyoung watched the floor numbers on the outside of the elevator change before letting himself into Jackson and (Y/n)’s apartment. He placed the box onto the countertop and pulled his phone out to quickly send a message to Jackson before starting the preparation for the grand surprise.
(Y/n) made her way towards the cafe where she and Jackson shared their first date. The memory was fresh in her mind, a giggle leaving her lips as she remembered how nervous he was when he saw her sitting inside and waiting for him.
She stood outside of the cafe and peeked into the glass windows to see Mark sitting at one of the tables and waving at her. She quickly made her way inside and to the table Mark was waiting at.
“(Y/n)! Here’s a coffee to get you more awake for the rest of the hunt!” He handed her a nice cup of cold brew which she took thankfully and then, handed her a pastel purple box with a baby blue bow on the top. She sat down across from him and opened the box to see a handful of chocolates nested on the inside with a note tucked in the side of the box.
She pulled the note out,
Mark hyung got you coffee, too! If he didn’t, punch him in the shoulder >:(!! Next location is where we had our first kiss!
(Y/n) could feel the excitement in her belly building more and more intense as she giggled to herself and tucked the note back into it’s spot and closed the box.
“Leave the gift with me while you finish the rest of your hunt.” Mark smiled at her. She nodded at him and slid the box back to him before grabbing her coffee and thanking him as she left the cafe. Mark took the box and made a beeline to Jackson’s apartment when he was sure she was a safe distance from the cafe.
(Y/n) thought about it for a moment before realising that they had shared their first kiss at the park. It was a midnight stroll that turned both of them into nervous messes as they held each other’s hands and shared a sweet kiss on a bench under one of the street lamps.
She approached the edge of the park to see Youngjae sitting on the same bench with Coco resting beside him. Youngjae’s head whipped up when Coco started barking in her direction and a smile broke onto his face when he saw her.
“(Y/n)! Here’s your second prize!” He giddily handed her the black box plastered with red hearts and topped with a red bow.
“Thank you!” She took the box from his hands and opened the lid, a gasp escaping her lips when the sides of the box unfolded to reveal an explosion box. Each side of the box had cute letters handwritten by Jackson, the second layer had song lyrics and the tiniest in the centre had her third clue.
Her heart warmed when she read the letters and the lyrics, looking up at Youngjae who seemed to be just as excited for her scavenger hunt as she was. She opened the box sitting in the middle and pulled out the sticky note.
Surprise! Explosion box! I’ve compiled your favourite lyrics from our songs and letters that you can read anytime you’re missing your very handsome boyfriend ;). Next place is where I first confessed my love for you!
(Y/n) looked up at Youngjae with a puzzled look before a light bulb went off in her head. Jaebeom’s apartment! It was a bit of a weird place to do it, but Jackson just couldn’t hold it in anymore at that time. They were having a slumber party and while (Y/n) and Jackson were cuddling in the living room of Jaebeom’s apartment, Jackson had confessed his love to her long after the others had fallen asleep.
“Do you want to leave the gift with me?” Youngjae asked her. She nodded and handed the box to him,
“Thank you, Youngjae!” She waved at him as she headed off to Jaebeom’s apartment where he was waiting outside with her gift.
“(Y/n)-ie!” He waved at her when he saw her. (Y/n) waved back at him and picked up her pace to reach him faster. “How has your quest been so far?” He asked as she stood in front of him.
“Fun! I’ve already met with Jinyoung-ie, Mark oppa and Youngjae.” She smiled at him. He held out the ivory gift box with a smile on his face,
“From Wang Jackson.” He suppressed his own giggle as she happily took the box from him to pull out a tiny teddy bear with a tag attached to the ribbon tied decorating its neck.
The bear’s quite small, so the next gift’s going to make up for it! Head on over to where I took you on our first anniversary!
Her smile was uncontainable as the restaurant immediately popped into her head. Keeping the bear back into the box, she handed it back to Jaebeom and thanked him before heading off to the luxurious restaurant BamBam was waiting at.
She greeted the very well dressed man who was waiting outside of the restaurant.
“(Y/n) noona! Jackson hyung wants you to have this.” He smiled as he handed her a tiny box. She opened it to see a pair of sapphire earrings sitting on the inside, her heart melting even further as she pulled them out. “He wants you to wear them now so that when you reach the end, he’ll get to see you in them.” BamBam explained as he watched how awestruck she looked when she saw the earrings.
“These earrings are absolutely gorgeous! Did he pick them out himself?” She turned to BamBam while holding one of them. He nodded cheekily,
“He did! He was worried I would mess this up!” He giggled before reaching into the pocket of his blazer and pulling out a sticky note, “This is your next clue.” He handed her the note. She took the note from his hands and read it,
Your next location is where we shared our favourite memory! The memories we share here play over and over again in my head like a movie ;)
“The cinema!” (Y/n) excitedly squealed as she turned to BamBam who was silently nodding. “Thank you, Bam-ie!” She gave him a high five and a dabbed in unison with him while they both giggled before she went off.
The cinema wasn’t too far from the restaurant and she reached there right as the sun started to begin its evening glow.
“Noona!” He called when he saw her looking around the area curiously with her back turned to him. She whipped around and her smile glowed as she ran to the maknae. “From Jackson hyung!” He held out another box the same size as the one BamBam had given her. She opened the small box and gasped once again when she saw a sapphire necklace matching the necklace. “It’s a matching set!” Yugyeom exclaimed giddily.
“Oh, it’s beautiful!” She coos, putting the necklace on since she was already wearing the earrings. “Where do I have to go next?” She questioned him.
“I have no sticky notes for you. You just have to head back home.” He smiled. She nodded at him and headed off in the direction of her home. BamBam approached Yugyeom awhile after she left,
“Do we have to go to Jackson hyung’s place?” He asked. Yugyeom answered with a nod,
“We have to run there.”

“She’s going to be here any minute. Yugyeom said she left the cinema ten minutes ago.” Mark said as he put his phone away. Yugyeom and BamBam burst into the door while catching their breaths,
“We tried… to get here… as fast as we could.” Yugyeom panted out as he bent forward, struggling to catch his breath.
“Hide in the guest room!” Jaebeom quickly ushered the two into the guest room. Jackson looked around the apartment, admiring their work.
“Thanks, guys.” He sighed out happily as he turned to them.
“Anything for you, Jacks.” Jinyoung smiled as he patted his back. The sound of the keypad beeping cause Jackson to shove all of them into the guest room,
“Go! Go!” He panicked as he quickly shut the door just as (Y/n) stepped into the apartment. Her eyes widened when she saw the pictures hanging from the ceiling, the dim glow of the candles that scattered the apartment made the entire setting romantic and surreal.
“Oh my god, Jackson.” She breathed out in awe the further she stepped in. The pictures were arranged so that when she stepped in, she would see the very first few pictures they took together up until she reached Jackson where they took their most recent picture. Amidst the hanging photos and candles stood Jackson, nervously shifting from one foot to another.
“Did you like your scavenger hunt?” He questioned with a soft smile on his face.
“I loved it.” She smiled at him as she gestured to the jewellery set she was wearing. She looked at the kitchen peninsula to see all the gifts that she had received from his friends throughout the whole experience.
“I hoped that you would.” He hummed as he opened his arms. She moved over to him and wrapped her arms around him, “You have one more gift.” He pulled away from her. “Close your eyes.” He said as he booped her on the nose. She did as he said and closed her eyes as she excitedly anticipated her last gift. “Open them.” She opened her eyes and took a step back as she gasped, her hands flying to cover her mouth. He stood on one knee, rose gold ring in his hands and a wide smile on his face.
“Oh my god, Jackson.” She breathed out, tears starting to prick her eyes.
“I’ve known you for six years, I’ve loved you for five years and I knew from the very moment that we got together that I wanted you by my side forever. I've never met anyone as smart, beautiful and as kind as you." His words were getting shakier as he held back his own tears, "(Y/l/n) (Y/n), will you marry me?"
(Y/n) cried into her hands as she nodded, unable to form coherent sentences through her sobs and happy tears. Jackson's smile widened as he stood up and took one of her hands, slipping the ring on and pressing a kiss to her hand. He wrapped his arms around her crying figure and she immediately hugged him back.
"Why are you crying, princess?" He asked through his own tears as he patted down her hair gently.
"I-I'm so, so happy." She laughed as well, pulling away from him. "It's also perfect timing." She giggled when he cupped her face and wiped her tears away with his thumbs.
"How come?" He questioned. She reached into her purse and pulled out the velvet box with the ring she had gotten Jackson. His eyes widened and it was his turn to let out a gasp. "I got you a ring because you were taking too long." She sniffled when she opened it to show him the ring.
"It's from Cartier!" He giggled as she took the ring out and slipped it onto his finger.
"This was perfect." She hummed out, closing her eyes when he pulled her closer to press his forehead to hers.
"Yeah." He hummed as well, basking in the moment. The moment that was quickly ruined when Yugyeom burst through the guest room door,
"CONGRATULATIONS!" He screamed out as BamBam and him shot confetti cannons out above the two. Jackson and (Y/n) both let out screams from the sudden entrance and the blast from the cannons.
"YUGYEOM! DON'T RUIN IT!" Mark grabbed the two by their collars and yanked them back into the guest room, (Y/n) laughing as he did.
"Sorry!" Youngjae quickly apologised to them as he closed the door.
"I'll beat them for that later." Jackson grunted when he turned back to his now fiance.
"It's okay, I think it just made the moment more perfect." She giggled as she gently cupped his face and leaned up to press a kiss to his lips.
