my personal emotional devastation aside, tho, i do think there are some parallels to be drawn between episode 9 of vice versa and episode 9 of last twilight, between puen on an island finally accepting his life in the original universe and by the end "gaining sight" on who talay really is, and day on a mountain finally accepting going blind and having his last sight being mork. i also think it's interesting that in last twilight (the ost) at one point there's the line "my heart cherishes the memory of us" while in vice versa the very last line of friend credits' second movie is "though we aren't together tomorrow, you're always here in my memories". like idk if it's a reach but both shows are about seeing when you can't really see (not just in the literal physical sense) and acceptance and carrying this love that helped you through it all with you and i just think someone with a brain activity currently higher than my own could make some connections!!!!!!!!

i personally did like the sex scene (i've talked about it here a little if you're interested), but i think i also get what you mean. if it were for me we would definitely have gotten a 17 minutes long one take focused on day's hands as he traced every part of mork's body starting from his face and slowly making his way down to his feet. but at the same time i wonder if it would have made sense for their first time. i feel like day was already so preoccupied with his sight being almost gone that what he needed in that moment was to get lost in the feelings rather than commit mork's body to memory. and who knows, last twilight has already broken p’aof’s habit of having only a couple of kisses in his shows, maybe it will make him give us another intimate scene too!!!

how i make scripts aesthetic on google docs (on pc) <33

Part One - Images

! Due to Tumblr's 30 image limit, I'll have to make this in parts. This one revolves around how I sort pictures to make them look aesthetic or just more organised in my script. + I'm not the best at organising tutorials sometimes but I'm trying to not make this confusing <//3

Ignore any typos and errors, thankyou. If you need me to re-explain anything, please feel free to ask. I feel like I haven't explained properly but, idk what else to do, lol :,)

What do I use?

Other than Google Docs (obviously), — Fontspace | A background remover [my mains: 1, 2] | Pinterest/WeHeartIt/Google search, and other sources for pretty pictures, pngs, etc. 🤍🌙

bundling images

Using the different text wrapping options, I found that it helped a lot more to "bundle" images together, so that things look prettier + more organised.

This is pretty simple, honestly; Fontspace provides font text as pictures, transparent bg and not, — so organising the text from it will fall under the tut for this bit.

^ These are the text wrapping options. The first one is the default and limits text placement/movement, the other four allow you to move text where-ever on the document (especially if print view is off) but each do different things.

In order of settings, examples (press images to see properly):

! tip : If you're bundling images that "overlap" too much, make sure to crop at least one (or however many needed) past its actual size so that it won't be a pain in the ass moving them later on.

- You may also use "behind text" for one of them, if it helps, so that it's easier to select the images, this also applies to using image over text (examples in each image).

what I mean:

Using these features, I'll—as per the aesthetic of my script—sort things accordingly. Get creative with the way you're doing this, and keep experimenting 'till you're able to make stuff look the way you want, lol.

Going into the aesthetics more ;; I usually pick diff aesthetics for each script and refuse to script until I find a pretty one LMFOAOAO- But I especially go for inspiration from (Korean?) bullet journal aesthetics which include lots of image bundling and customised tables.

Why korean ones specifically? Idk the difference, but using "Korean" as a keyword gets the stuff I'm looking for. 💀 But I also search for little pngs I want to add to my script; and if it's a false transparent png or has any background, I use my background removers to make it an actual transparent png.

And, sometimes, I like to search for colours then use my snip tool to screenshot them really thin, like those brown-beige borders you see in all my posts, then use them in my script like highlighter lines, like-

That's pretty much it, really.

Fontspace fonts apply as well. One thing about Fontspace is that, you can change the colour of the text ;; as well as the background.

The brown colour is the text's colour, the blue one is the background's colour. You can of course choose to have no background, but it's there as an option.

I don't know of any features where you can save a colour but that's maybe me being dumb ;; but what I do is set a certain colour (i.e. blue) then use the colour adjustment in google docs to change it to black, red, or whatever over colours r in the script.

Keywords you can use for tiny decorations, are "clipart", "[aethetic name] clipart transparent png", "[aesthetic name] sticker png transparent", etc.

You can have a look at the aesthetics wiki for ideas for your script

Fotor is what I use to crop images into different shapes, and it is how I got the circle/heart shaped pictures in my documents ^-^*

YO how do you do a soullink on explorers??? that sounds so fun,,, id like to do that with a friend :0

Definitely having a blast with it! Me and my friend decided we wanted to mix it up a bit after doing several main series randomizer soul links, here's the way we've been doing it:

General PMD Soul Link Rules

Pick the same hero and partner. Your hero is your friend's partner and vice versa, with the same names and team name! You're in this together and are each other's partners.

Give them the same moves in both games and discuss changes to the movepool together - will this move benefit your hero? Does that work for your friend's partner?

(example: I'm playing as a Rowlet, level up and can learn aromatherapy. After some discussion I teach it - I have a move I'm fine with scrapping and my friend's zorua hero is struggling with poison traps, so his partner having a way to cure poison is super helpful. Once Rowlet is the same level in his game, he teaches it too. You can also teach TMs if you both already own the same one and can decide what move to replace.)

Go through story and dungeons together at the same pace. Found the stairs? Great! Tell your partner and wait at the stairs till they find them too, or go up but don't explore till they join you.

For non story missions, pick a dungeon you can both get jobs in and do that. It's okay if they're on different floors or if you have more/less than your partner, just go through floors together till one of you finishes first and can leave. The other person can continue on alone if needed.

If one of you faints in a dungeon, no resets, you gotta take the loss. The other person also needs to press the 'give up' button and also take the loss. Sorry about your money/items.

If you choose to add new recruits, send them back to the guild immediately, until your partner gets one too (up to you if they have to be the same species but they have to be from the same dungeon/recruitment method, with the same nickname). No hard rule on movesets for extras. If an extra team member faints for one person, the other should send them home.

We didn't set any rules about item usage - those are all fair game and don't have to be the same.

The only exception is using joy/golden seeds at the same time, just so we're at fairly similar strength.

You can do this with any pmd game! Ofc only eos can do randomizers, but if that element isn't important to you, go wild.

This is obvious, but communication is key! You gotta make sure you know where the other person is up to and work through things together, really helps with the immersion too.

For randomized runs

Randomizers will obviously need to use eos, due to being done with Skytemple Randomizer. To get the full experience you also might wanna get Skytemple and edit the hero and partner lists in order to have both your hero and partner choices available interchangeably (Eg. Having mew as a hero choice is fine, but if they're not a partner choice as well you'll need to edit that).

If you gotta edit the hero and partner choices here's a simple screenshot based tutorial on how to do that!

We're playing our randomizer with the same seed and it's great, plus it makes it easier to talk about which characters are doing what. Discovering the randomized chapter names and character switchups together is pretty priceless too.

We've noticed the ROM we generated seems to crash a lot for some reason (may be some of the patches we added idk), so we're working with a crash clause too - if the game crashes while on an exploration, the other person has just gotta wait for them to catch up. If one of you then faints on that same exploration, the other can continue to just wait while the one who fainted is permitted to reset - otherwise the crashes REALLY start to suck all the fun out of it.

Don't randomize ROMs that use the expand pokelist patch. If you don't know what that is, you probably don't need to worry about it. Expanded sky uses this too though, so DON'T RANDOMIZE EXPANDED SKY. idk why you get something like uhh. This:

I find this very interesting because in VW, Claude makes it sound like he doesn't understand Dimitri.

In AM, he very clearly understands Dimitri in a way that's extremely directly personal.

Like... there's a clear difference in how well he understands Dimitri, but why? How? What motivated Claude differently to find out more about Dimitri in AM than what he knew in VW?

I know you could chalk it up "Byleth is there so he figured Dimitri would snap out of it so he knew he could trust Dimitri ultimately", but tbh I hate that line of thought. I hate the idea that Byleth is just... the magical reason for everything (especially not when Rodrigue had a whole heck of a lot to do with it. Byleth couldn't have done it alone and failed to do so for the first half of AM. It was Byleth and Rodrigue both who helped Dimitri get back on his feet, but never, ever Byleth alone).

So no, I'm not going with the magical Byleth theory.

In fact, it says more for Claude as a character to be able to make a decision independent of Byleth (something he basically claims he can't even do in VW), and just decide he wants to look into Dimitri's history. How else would he know exactly what mark to talk about when he sees Dimitri in chapter 19?

But in VW, what's his reason for not looking into him? Is it that he just thought Dimitri was dead, and so looking into his history wouldn't benefit him in any way any longer (i.e. if another leader of Fodlan was around, he'd want to know what he could for future alliances)? Is that in AM, he realized Dimitri was alive and had time to look into him before requesting his aid?

In which case, is this something VW Claude also would've done if given the chance/time? Did AM Claude actually manage to dig enough up on Dimitri in that span of time to understand him on what is, for Dimitri, a deeply personal level? Did VW Claude just not get the chance because Dimitri died at Gronder, versus AM Dimitri not dying at Gronder, being present to show Claude he was alive, and pushing Claude to look into him because there was still a chance?

So VW Claude thinks Dimitri is hard to understand (he's talking about Dedue being as hard to understand as Dimitri in the above screenshot), but AM Claude understands him to a T. Did Claude just genuinely learn and therefore understand that much about Dimitri in a few months? That is, did Claude learn a few things and from there put the pieces together, and suddenly Dimitri was much easier to understand? Is it that VW Claude didn't have enough information to understand why Dimitri was the way he was?

I'm not really making a particular point here; just that it's really interesting to me that on Claude's own route, he can't seem to understand Dimitri's motivations (despite that you'd expect him to get more development on his own route). In AM, despite being a character outside the player's ability to use, he understands Dimitri, frankly, better than most of Dimitri's friends do.

He understands his motivations clear as day and doesn't just understand him, but trusts him to lead Fodlan because of his understanding of him (enough to put his own goddamn Relic in his hands and say here's my entire army). Like idk, that's a pretty steep understanding and trust if you consider that he came to understand Dimitri in only a few months' time and not over the course of five years.

Is Claude that able to read into a person in such a short amount of time? Does that mean he indeed just did not look into Dimitri's past in VW because he didn't see a reason to because he thought Dimitri had died already before realizing he hadn't, only for Dimitri to die when he finally had the chance to talk to him again?

I also think it says a lot about Claude as a person if he's able to reach such an accurate conclusion about Dimitri in just a few months. I think it also shows how genuine his desire is to have a proper leader for Fodlan once he leaves to return to Almyra (i.e. he did his research to be sure Dimitri would be a leader that was good for Fodlan). If he went under the assumption that Dimitri would win the war, he'd want to know the person he's going to be making future alliances with, so of course he'd learn what he could... but what he understood and realized from whatever he learned tells me he's very good at reaching conclusions.

Again, I'm just thinking how interestingly differently VW and AM Claude understand Dimitri (lol W and M are upside down versions of each other and Claude's understanding of Dimi is opposite in each route hehe lol funny me likey funny fun).

so officially finished kiwami 2, majima saga aside which won't take long. ignore how this isn't a screenshot, this was easier

i'm just gonna dump the thousand words or so of thoughts i put in my fic doc here for posterity and anyone who might get a kick out of reading them. lots and lots of messiness, vague spoilers for rgg online plus one itsy bitsy reference to the stage play

hot take that there were maybe some redeemable elements in the last bit (mainly all the times kaoru and ryuji talk to each other) but so much of it is so fucking stupid and full of HE WOULD NOT DO THAT (mainly kiryu). idk. i don’t hate it but it needed some work

interesting things learned tho, ryuji didn’t expect to live long, he says he made it further than he was expecting. as we now know from rggo, he already knew about his jingweonha connection and was actively ignoring it (which is why terada marks him for death in the first place. slot han in here?) and remembered the night where his father died (despite being like 2 at the time, at most). kiryu also reiterates that he sees nishiki in ryuji, which i think is fair (and the stage play people clearly agreed). ‘the least i can do is honour a man like that’ is an interesting attitude to have. also ryuji is like ‘i see why my sister fell fer ya’ which is not quite the japanese line (ish) but it’s also not the straightest thing he’s ever said. ryuji also very clearly would have doted on kaoru quite a lot, if they’d lived together as children or otherwise, and i really think we missed out on seeing more of them. maybe i’m just soft for that kind of thing.

i feel like a more interesting conundrum would have been both ryuji and kiryu being wounded from their fight, delaying it again (cos they’d done it once no reason not to do it again) but neither are moving the way they should and (believing the bomb is real) kaoru has to pick one to carry and one to leave behind. (maybe halfway down the stairs or smth?) it wouldn’t be especially original but it would make more sense imo. her going down the lift does nothing but slow her down (ig she has access to the controls and doesn’t use them for hashtag drama reasons) which i don’t think fundamentally changes her position that much from before the second ryuji fight. it also gives her smth to fucking do that isn’t just crying and grabbing fences and doing that dumbfuck charge that i don’t think she would have done (her gun hadn’t gone far! then again i have hindsight and am thinking clearer than she is). anyway kiryu pushes her to take ryuji (guilt over nishiki?) and locks them in the lift thingy and sends them down, fully ready to die now. his and ryuji’s wounds mirror each other but i feel like kiryu got the shorter end of the stick? plus he was shot slightly earlier so has been bleeding for longer.

i cannot say this enough, kiryu would not leave ryuji. like, he just wouldn’t. if there was even a chance he was still alive, he would make sure he got to someone or he would at least try. he’s at his most inactive in cutscenes in kiwami 2 (i think) and it’s frustrating as a player asdfghjkl

ALSO if sudo and date and haruka went to the effort of preparing and going up in that helicopter, why didn’t they also prepare a rope?? or smth to rescue people who were on top of the tower???? they clearly knew there was a bomb up there (beforehand or not is unclear but we don’t see them have a conversation about it) and want kiryu and co. to leave. (and not MAKE OUT ON A ROOFTOP they were really going at it huh, ryuji’s ?corpse? is right fucking there guys oh and goda jin’s? he sort of vanishes from that last bit)

also it would have been kind of funny if, while there was still that ten minutes, everyone sprinted for the stairs and made it down and they’re waiting for the building to blow and when it inevitably doesn’t they’re all just standing there checking their watches like is it late? did smth break? who wants to be the sucker and go check? can we call an ambulance for the two idiots? majima is down in the construction yard i think so he’d probably send nishida, maybe?

idk kiryu has no interest in kaoru to me. he treats her no differently to anyone else aside from the two times they kiss, both of which feel very out of character for him, and that romance subplot takes away any and all girlboss power kaoru had. she went from beating men up and threatening them with bokuto and shit to like, i love man, so sad. (they knew each other like a week!!!!!! and they’re dying for each other!!!! give me a break!!!!!) that’s not to detract from the awful fucking week she has of learning who her family are (some racism in there??? i’m not qualified to speak on that, maybe it’s just the gang thing, ) and then watching literally all of them die one after another. except mama, she’s fine and never appears again. it’s very much aiming for a ‘she can be a ‘woman’ (i.e. be emotional and like cute things and not try and match the locker room attitude of the men) and also take names’ but it doesn’t succeed at that at all. from kiryu’s conversation with her on their little date thing (which is cute, i’ll give it that) he was telling her to be true to herself, right? it's his go to line. which suggests that her kicking dudes in the face a lot and working incredibly hard (she’s a prodigy, in multiple fields! this doesn’t get explored enough) is NOT her true self, the one who plays with teddy bears and falls in love is. which, again, not that those two things can’t co-exist, but the game doesn’t allow them to either. just, ah. more wasted woman potential in a yakuza game. yayoi gets the same treatment :((( you gave me two step on me yakuza ladies and dropped the ball on both of them, come on guys. hopefully she gets to live a little in 8.

ahhh hi hi i'm here with thoughts about the new chap hehe

ok first, i LOVE this line so much. i can kind of see it now - the similarities between reader and hanma, but at the same time they are so so different. i'm not sure why but this stood out to me! there were also many lines like this thru out the chap - i do pay attention to details bc i know some writers have a bunch of foreshadowing in their fics👀

another thing is that i literally GASPED when a certain violet haired man made an approach in this fic, im guessing it was ran but i was so happy to have him in this fic!! (i don't think it was actually mentioned if it was ran or rin, but i'm p sure it was ran ahah) i rly liked the entire encounter and he was being pretty respectful which i didn't see coming lol.

yknow i loved this entire convo so much there was a lot thrown at us but at the same time you described/phrased it in such a way that made it easier to understand. i think i re read this part like 3 times; i kinda felt like this is the most honest convo they’ve had and it was the most series imo. it was really nice seeing hanma kinda open up. we also got to know more about the docs past too.

the last line about minimizing pain for the reader 👀 idk if im being dumb or if this has some sort of deeper meaning, but is it talking about the docs emotional pain? (towards hanma maybe?) im not sure lol rip and maybe it’ll be cleared up within the next few chapters but for now i’ll be left wondering hehe

okoki this is getting so so long i’m so sorry BUT i reallyyyy wanna talk about the smut i was literally vibrating in my seat the entire time aksdj when i first read the chap tags i kinda saw where it was going. club - hanma get head - reader watches. one of my favorite lines from the chapter too! And yeah, reader + hanma are so different from each other, but i think they have a pretty similar problem with how they move through the world. they never could have had this conversation before. they're only able to be this open now because a) they both think they're talking more big picture and not being fully aware of what they're revealing about themselves; but most importantly b) they have a CREEPING INTIMACY! they are so much closer than they were a few chapters back :) I am so glad you noticed that because it was Very intentional.

you pretty much nailed the pain comment. Reader recognizes that she is taking on a very out of character risk with the Hanma stuff, and that opens her up to emotional pain but also risk that he's going to make her (or her life) change, which she is resistant to.

not much to say about the smut stuff other than...i am glad to see it's working. that is what i was going for 😏😆 (also thank you on the kakucho fic :))

it means the WORLD that you find things to analyze and think about because i am pouring so much of that in there intentionally, and knowing that people see it and get something out of it too is Super motivating. as can see, reshade did most of the work for me (especially the blur!!!) i take advantage of that for sure. i think a lot of photos look the best when there's an obvious foreground (the arch) and a background (the throne room)! i took the latter photo in case i wanted to show them and blur the rest of the room, but when you compare, it makes most sense to blur everything no??

STILL, how did i come up with this angle? i think i reference a lot of media without knowing it. this kind of archway shot is popular in movies and shows!! it's dramatic and really says something deeper than the fact it looks pretty. do you HAVE to think deeply about this? NO i'm just extra and really into metaphors lol i thought this angle was good because it showed how alone they were amidst the large space they were in, which made this moment even more private for the love-birds-who-still-haven't-confessed (^;

you mention bad lighting, and let me tell you... the Sisters' Castle is no stranger to that problem. i had to place those small ceiling lights EVERYWHERE until it looked decent, as well as change the light shade to that almost-white yellow. and still, i have to brighten my photos quite a lot! i even added fake light beams from the windows... not my best work but it ~adds~

HOW TO GET AROUND BORING ANGLES?

you gotta think to yourself as if YOU are the audience. where does the camera go to make you feel like you're apart of the scene? do close-ups amplify the emotions? would far-away shots make you grasp the situation better (i.e. "oh they're in a beautiful field!! how romantic!!" or in my case "oh they're in the throne room alone...")?

my favorite shot is honestly putting the camera behind something that will be in the foreground, unblurred while the rest of the photo IS blurred... like a plant, statue, wall, even another person. i use this A LOT lol

it kind of creates the sense that YOU as the reader/viewer is in the foreground, which makes sense if the foreground is a person. i wanted people to feel like they were in maggie's and/or olette's shoes and viewing it from their perspective, so they were often the focus (as you can see in the ones above). sometimes, though, it's to highlight whatever is being discussed! for example, in the photo below, they were talking about the late princess so her painting was the focus and maggie was blurred in the foreground instead!

which makes sense don't cha think? since we aren't just writing a book, subjects have to be visually displayed as well! it's pretty cool and i think that's why i like simblr so much lol

move that camera around like crazy!!!!! go all the way to the ceiling and look down, go all the way to the ground and look up!! zoom in really close, zoom out really far, play with what's being blurred! if you find an angle that you love but the background is BLAH, then either blur it or redecorate it! i love the castle because i just had to throw ivy everywhere to really make things pop (^:

Can these anons who talk about pd's fb groups cite what pd and their fans said there or something? Especially those who claimed about alex's fans wanting more page-time or whatever because at this point with no screenshots or link proofs for the pd group conversation (except for the bonus contents), it becomes more of a "hearsay" than it's a concrete proof that these events happened. I'm not saying that it's unbelievable they happened, i'm just saying, as much as we hated nightfall, alex etc., to accuse authors (real human beings) without proof and slandering them and namecalling them for things they possibly didn't do (that are mostly fictional) is... a bit much, no?

Sure we can call out whatever bullshit PD wrote on PAPER, they can never deny it, they're all published everywhere, but these fb interactions (about fictional characters) anons keep on mentioning were always so vague, it bcomes more like a gossip, than it's the truth, because of how no-facts it was, and as a casual reader of this series, it doesn't sit right with me how many times different anons kept on bringing up about pd's fb group interactions, even from KO's past and older asks, without even linking or showing pictures of these interactions happening. And if there's one thing i know about this fandom is that readers really interpret a lot of things differently than pd (justly or unjustly) and misunderstanding happens all the time (especially between the portugese/non-portugese fandom due to translation alone, not counting anything else yet), even in discussions, so? Screenshots or links, anybody?

Also, i've been around to see those tweets claimed by anon during the release of nightfall, and while i agree that so many readers were disappointed with nightfall and some even expressed their disappointment really badly (even some dn twitter accounts that exist even until now there) by calling pd with various vile names, and pd got so many backlashes on goodreads, it was always just implied that some crticisms were going around on fb, but i never remembered any screenshots or links about them happening. The backlash and death threats against pd on twitter was so bad from readers, that they dont even use twitter after a free ebook promotion for credence then.

I am not siding with pd or anything, but i feel like as much as we hate their stories and there could be valid criticisms of them, when it comes to what pd actually did outside of their fictional stories, we really gotta be mindful of what we spread to others because cant this be considered as slander? Maybe even bullying, whatnot with all the namecalling, especially when you make something up and it never happened? That's why it's also to quote canon texts, or even loosely describe/paraphrase them during discussions. Because boundaries like these are easier to cross when people are too busy being chronically online behind anon asks or accounts to remember that pd's a real human beings despite whatever fictional things they published.

I’ve tried to be careful about it in the past, but I know I’ve gotten lenient as I’ve gone on. But going forward, if you’re message contains any type of threat or hateful speech towards PD as a person, I won’t post it. I won’t even acknowledge it. And that goes for their kids and husband as well.

We can talk about their faults as an author and storyteller. We can talk about their characters and plots, but I want to leave them alone. They have to live their life too, and nobody should feel unsafe because they wrote a fictional book about fictional characters in a make-believe town.

PD did not write any of these series to personally offend any of us, and it’s just not right to degrade them so viciously.

One, thank you. That’s very kind and thoughtful of you to say. I was actually very touched.

Two, I have worried about this. It’s weighed on my mind that, if left uncheck, this blog will turn into what people complain DN twitter and insta is like; a place of hate and vitriol, where discussion and sharing just can’t take place.

I’m new at running a blog like this, so I sometimes don't know how to handle something that causes me to pause. My general approach as been to first be nice, second respond to what I can while being nice.

Please remember that all of these messages pass over my eyes first – not PDs, mine. I take in all of the negative things that get said. And then I have to think about them, and how to respond in a way that is respectful.

I wanted a blog that I could share some of my DN writing, some HC, and discussions. My hope was that more people would feel comfortable blogging about DNs as well, knowing that there's other who have an interest. I've settled with the idea that the blog may just become some sort of Anonymous message board? And that's fine, as long as people can remain kind and respectful to others, I can let it go on, but if it becomes a war zone, I will shut it down.

You can talk about PD, as long as it remains about their books and writing. But I personally don’t want to hear hateful speech about them. I don’t want to have to take it in or post it for others to do so. So no name calling or tearing down their person. No threats to their person or loved ones.

Be respectful of other’s opinions and interpretations. You can disagree with them, as long as it isn’t in a degrading way. Again, I haven’t seen this so far. Maybe some have come close to the line in my opinion, but I’m not thinking of anyone specifically. I’m not calling anyone out.

Just a general notice going forward.

I’ve always taken everything that gets told to me on here with a grain of salt. It does at times feel like it’s something that’s been passed around so often without people checking. But as I don’t have fb and if I did, I wouldn’t be in PD’s group, I have no way of verifying.

So, if you guys do have ability to provide a reference for your claims, that would be great and appreciated.

I won’t say I’ll require it at this point. Just know as a reader, this blog is unverified, and some of these might not be accurate or maybe influenced by personal opinion.

As an example, I recently said that PD didn’t want to do anything with the series because they had a hard time with the backlash after NF was released. I based that on the FAQ page on their website where they said:

“I think most of you understand how hard the response on the series was for me. I write too slow, readers are forced to wait too long, and by the time the next installment finally releases, you’ve developed your own ideas on what you think should happen, and when it doesn’t, so many got angry with me. I’m tired of disappointing people, and I think if most of you are honest, you know you don’t want to see the next generation doing the things their parents did. Not really. Right now, they’re safe in your head where I can’t ruin it.”

This said to me that they’re very aware of what the response to this series as been. I’ve coupled this with the multiple times they’ve said they’re not going to continue writing for DN. To me, they sound hurt.

So, just like that, that’s the only type of reference I would need. A direct quote, screenshot, link to something, what have you. For some, it would be helpful, but at the same time, don’t believe everything you read on the internet. Always check and verify for yourself.

I know I’m basically circling back to what I said first, but I just wanted to note that I really appreciated this paragraph. Thank you. For the reminder that our words to have an affect on others. Even if PD doesn’t see this, we’re in control of cultivating our fandom experience. We can get bogged down with hate and frustration towards PD, or we can choose to be better. I definitely don’t want be a bully to anyone, especially strangers on the internet who have never done anything to me. So, I will try harder to avoid speaking that way and supporting that kind of attitude.

I love the data, so yay for that. I'm not sure the pie chart tells me anything more than the colored bar chart, but it can be easier to read, so maybe that's good for people.

The only thing I can think of now is whether you can sort the Mediabase chart by spins, highest to lowest. That info is not as important in the first week, but it helps, I think, in coming weeks, to see where support is strong (& can be thanked by fans) and where it's falling off or not as strong (& can be requested more by fans, in a gracious way, of course). I can't remember if you can sort their data.

This one is harder, but sorting by region? Or market? So we can find our local stations.

Reminder to fans: get your local stations' apps, sign up to be a loyal listener or whatever they call it, interact with dj's on social media, play their games & enter their contests, etc. Prove you listen & care, so your requests aren't random spam from around the globe. The colored bar chart just shows it by day with totals and the time breakdown, the pie chart is just the latest day's time breakdown. I think maybe I'm leaning towards doing just a line chart for the daily totals and then the pie chart breakdown for the current day maybe?

You can sort it, and it is sorted initially by the total, but I alphabetize it to make it easier to enter into my spreadsheet. I need to remember to screenshot first!

bestie I need help/advice and probably to go outside and touch a tiny bit of grass. my muse is friends with someone plotted & chem and they were fine a few days ago interacting but since then they and a few others have been dropping threads that are easy to respond to, or straight ignoring responses with my muse. and our muses used to go back and forth like lightning. this might just be me being paranoid cause I got issues zczczc but I'm not sure if they're intentionally ignoring my muse or not . I don't want to msg them ooc just cause what if I am just being paranoid then I'll sound weird and possibly make them uncomfy but I also don't know what else to do to figure out if maybe my muse did something or said something that made them uncomfortable . and its not like theyre just casual friends, we plotted that they were pretty close and the chem was great and now just not responding to threads and dms but are clearly responding to everyone else in the dms cause people post screenshots lol and also keeping other threads going on long with others. gah idk it might just be me feeling insecure and paranoid but it's really starting to get under my skin amd affecting my muse for the rp and I love my muse so much but idk now. I've got my own issues with shit like this so maybe I just need to take a step away and give myself time to separate (and I probably will either way) but it's also weird because it's not like it's just one muse it's both the mun's muses and other muses from different muns.

My favourite thing about this drawing is how Miki's floofy hair is smooshed against Itou's head XD That was kind of unintentional but Miki has so much floofy hair that poor Itou's head got in the way...

hi I just wanted to thank you for all your gifs!! And I hope you don't take this the wrong way, like I'm sure you put many frustrating hours and dedicated time into making gifs but you seem to be able to make them so fast, I was just wondering if maybe you have any tips? Are there any steps in the gif making process that spare you some time, if that makes any sense? Like maybe any photoshop actions or mass saving idk. Thanks in advance and generally for every single beautiful gif you make 🥺

hi! honestly, after “don't take this the wrong way” i thought you’re gonna yell at me for doing something bad haha 

the only way to make everything in gif making process go faster is to use actions for everything that doesn’t need manual adjustments. resizing, sharpening, psd preparing, saving, etc. i still make my gifs like in this video but now i have a sharpening action that works without my assistance and saves up to 40 sharpened gifs without my help. the idea comes from this and this posts but the action is not exactly the same cause i don’t use screencaps when making gifs (which also saves time when giffing, i think). so i basically have a few actions that are the same steps inside but have a different number of repeating of those steps

e.g. the one for three gifs has these three steps

and the action called “100%” is just my sharpening action with one new step (closing and saving the just sharpened psd) in the end of it

you can record it into any existing or new action by using the circle button on the actions tab 

when your gif (psd) is ready to be saved and closed, pick the last step of your action (for mine it’s “activate first animation frame” on the screenshot above) and press the circle button, make sure it’s now red (= recording) and just close the file. photoshop will ask you if you want to save the file, click yes and just save it. aaand this step is now recorded, you can press the square button on the action tab to stop recording.

so yeah, i clip the episode/movie video using kmplayer, then drop one clip into my photoshop, cut out everything i need (if you’re watching my video, the phoebe part at 8-ish minutes would be more helpful cause it shows the process for more than one gif), save layers i now have to psds, then drag these psds (up to 40-60 files so my computer don’t get angry hah) into photoshop and play my “100% for N gifs” action. and that’s it. when photoshop is sharpening and saving my psds, i can e.g. scroll my tumblr dashboard (or work, lol). then i just open those sharpened psds and color them.

btw if you know that your psd will 100% have specific layers (e.g. if you know you always use levels and curves and something else), you can record it as an action too. literally if you repeat any steps for every gif, you should record as an action (read this post if you don’t know how).

does it all make sence? cause i’m not that good at explaining, but after writing this i thought maybe i should make a video of how i just... make a gif pack? i mean all the process and steps. would it be easier? idk, just let me know if you want to me to do it 💙

and agreed!! when you're making good money in the game you have to find other ways to make it interesting. my cousins who play it just continously do "motherlode" and i'm like.... then what do you do in your game?? it just sounds boring to me... my current sims household, i had a famous comedian sim, her name was dylan, aND SORRY IM LAUGHING SO HARD WHILE WRITING THIS BC ITS A GREAT EXAMPLE OF THE UNI THING UNLESS IM JUST DUMB, she went to college for communications when i wanted her to be a comedian and when she graduated i realized that degree did nothing for the career 🥲 so yeah, i think i'm just dumb. but she had a kid in college, guy didn't stick around and she was pretty broke HA but then she got married to this (great) guy named steve, made good bank, had 5 more kids (two sets of twins and one more lol) but then she passed. uhm... yeah that's still an open wound . lol i'm kidding, but when you get rich like that, you have to find a way to make the game interesting and i chose a million kids.

i used to be one of the people who‘d just do motherlode motherlode motherlode and just... what did i do? Why did i do that??? But not anymore lol. This might be random, but I came to the blog for the icon/username, stayed for the vibes and memes and now I really wanna share my Fallout NV OC bc of you lol if I'm being honest. But Idk how to or if I should. I'm not really an artist (I write but that's it) or really sure where to start?

Oh thank you anon!! That’s really sweet to hear. It really does mean a lot, more than anything else on here, when I’m able to inspire other people to create on their own.

I’m not really sure what to say to you, though (if only because your ask doesn’t give me a lot of details), except to just go for it. When getting involved in fandom, especially a fandom that encourages the creation of OCs, I feel like there’s an expectation of everybody having some sort of Project, like a fanfiction. If you have an idea for a Project or are working on one as a writer, that’s great, but if you’re not, I wouldn’t let that stop you from sharing and developing your OC on your own time, in your own way. Fandom is an inherently social space, and fandom participation is inherently collaborative, so just having your OC out there and making friends with other people and talking about OCs together can be a rewarding, generative process in its own right.

So, just...start posting about them! It’s your blog, do what you want! My only advice is to tag your posts well so that your blog can stay pretty well-organized, especially for any OC-related stuff that you’d want to reference later. There’s a lot of OC development prompts where people are expected to send you numbers or emojis that you respond to, but there’s nothing stopping you from just filling it out yourself. I often see “ask me questions about my OC” posts that go around, but I don’t think anybody should ever really need to ask for permission to ramble about their OCs on their own blog. I think that these posts proliferate more so because people get insecure about whether anybody “actually” cares, but...

...as I explain anytime somebody asks me a question like this, I think it’s very important that nobody go seeking external validation in the form of replies and reblogs and comments when putting anything out there into the internet, fandom or otherwise. Obviously this feedback can be encouraging, but it’s not guaranteed and audiences can be fickle. When creating, you have to be creating because you want to create, it should be something you’d want to do even if you were the last person on earth. Otherwise, it’s so much easier to burn yourself out or feel so discouraged that you give up, when it’s so much more rewarding to do something for the intrinsic pleasure and practice of it, even if it’s not as spectacular of a reward as big numbers in your notes.

Also, if you’re not much of an artist but still really want people to see your OC, I know that some people use in-game screenshots, Picrews, and other kinds of avatar-generators to show off their OC’s design as well. If you’ve got any money laying around, you can commission other artists to make a sketch or reference sheet as well (I’m gonna open up commissions one of these days I swear haha). And as a writer, I’m sure you know that at the very least, a well-written description goes a long way.
