This is a woolly rhinoceros, the second most popular animal from the "big five" ice age after the mammoth.
Tumblr media
Thanks to the large number of skeletons and whole mummies found by paleontologists in the permafrost, as well as cave paintings, we can reconstruct its appearance with high accuracy.
Tumblr media
This giant was up to 2 m tall, and the weight could reach 3 tons.

Exposing this artist because wtf.
The artist I'm exposing is Gecchu, you might know them for drawing this image below.
Tumblr media
no, this isn't official art
WHAT HAVE THEY DONE?
This artist has been known for "being a lolicon", which I thought was just an assumption, but looking now, I can see why.
BUT FIRST! THE REST OF THIS CONTAINS THEMES OF SEXUAL ACTS, AND ACCUSATIONS OF SEXUALIZING MINORS, IF THAT MAKES YOU UNCOMFY, FEEL FREE TO SCROLL
For those of you still here, let's get started.
Gecchu has drawn the PMMM (Puella Magi Madoka Magica) characters in weird or sexual situations like this Homura drawing below.
Tumblr media
This image is slightly weird, because of its context, from what I see, the doctor is asking her to get shirtless? (Also, Homura is a MINOR, It doesn't matter if she's 20+ due to her time traveling, she is physically a minor.)
They've also drawn Mami in weird positions?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The first Mami pose is oddly sexual, also, Mami's swimsuit in the second one shouldn't be THAT revealing. Sayaka is also a victim to this person.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Why is her skirt so short? (Another reminder that these are MINORS.)
Tumblr media
I'm not sure if this one is sexual, but her tits are most likely out for sexual appeal, which is gross, because, again, I cannot stress this enough, THEY ARE MINORS. There is a LOT MORE proof of this artist sexualizing minors.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But thats enough ranting, so I'll leave at that for now, I'll edit this if anything else about this artist comes up.
UPDATE - 11/23
So I did more research about the Setsuban Mami/Sayaka art thing, and it seems most people draw underage characters in sexual clothing with a tiger-print.
Tumblr media
this example is from re:stage.
Also this art with Rena Minami from Magia Record
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Rena's boobs are larger then in the actual anime, which is weird since Magia Record already has a bunch of fetish-y things within it.
Tumblr media
This art of Iroha only shows Iroha's "private" parts, zooming in on her boobs multiple times.
Tumblr media
Bebe is tying Mami into a bondage? Also again with the altered boob sizes.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
While this art isn't all bad, I feel that art of Madoka slowing pulling up the sport trunks was uneeded???
Tumblr media
Do I even have to explain this one?
Tumblr media
Image depicts Kyoko eating ice cream, which wouldn't be bad if her skirt wasn't so small to reveal half of her ass.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Again with the undeeded images of Madoka flashing Homura?
Tumblr media
Again with the altered boob sizes, this one is even worse since this is aged down Sayaka. Also, this pose feels oddly sexual?

The Labrador Duck (Camptorhynchus labradorius), native to the northeast coast of North America, has been extinct since sometime late in the 19th century, with the last valid sighting being in 1878.  Little is known about it, although there are some 55 stuffed specimens of it scattered about the world in various museums. One mystery is the cause of its extinction. All accounts indicate it was already uncommon by the time Europeans arrived in North America, to stay. Its meat was relatively little in demand, due to bad flavor, and reportedly it did not keep well. Certainly such commercial demand that did exist for its meat, feathers, eggs and skins would undoubtedly have been the final cause of its extinction.
But I have a theory.  Wherever humans have gone, extinctions occurred. I used to think it would not be possible for the extinction of so many ice-age species in North America to have been caused by the arrival of humans after the last ice age ended.  But we now know that humans arrived in the western hemisphere much earlier, perhaps fifteen thousand years ago. We also know that in the absence of humans, many animals, including large ones, simply are not afraid of humans when they arrive.
We can see examples of that, even today, on islands that were historically uninhabited for sure, but even in less frequented continental areas, where foxes or Canada Jays or Boreal Chickadees, to give three examples from my own experience, will act fearlessly in human presence. Urbanites are constantly told not to feed coyotes, or they’ll become used to people and a threat.
The Beothuk people, themselves exterminated, were seal and caribou hunters who once inhabited the area now called Newfoundland and Labrador, thought to be the former breeding grounds of the Labrador Duck (Audubon’s son claimed to have found a nest in Labrador, and probably did.) My theory is that the Labrador Duck was one of a plethora of “ice age fauna” that went extinct as a result of how easily they were killed by humans, having always lived in remote areas.  Animals exterminated in North America between the arrival of the first people, and the arrival of Europeans -- horses, elephants, large condors, giant sloths, camels and other species, included ones that were rare when Europeans arrived with their own weaponry. Many that were extirpated or exterminated were from the same region – sea mink, Great Auks, Newfoundland wolves, eastern cougars, eastern elk, Eskimo Curlews (who migrated through the region), even the Atlantic grey whale  -- the list is large, and the depletion of native wildlife of the region continues into the present – Canada’s rarest mammal is the northern Atlantic right whale, and of course the collapse of the northwest Atlantic northern cod is recent and well known.
I have researched the species for years, photographed every specimen (and collected photos of every other specimen I could find) and studied renderings of many other artists, most of whom, like me, could only do “best guess” restorations.  The painting is about 18 by 24 inches, in oils on a birchwood panel.  I am also including a much earlier painting I did of some Labrador Ducks in flight over the Labrador coast at dawn. It was in watercolours on paper.

Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job #34: “Universe” | February 23, 2009 - 12:30AM | S04E03
The first thing: Celebrity Zillions, a game show where big stars (Whoopsie, Steven Spielberg, Johnny Depp, others) all jump around while Mr. Zillions throws money down at them while suspended from the ceiling. I love this one, this is one of Eric’s best roles as the dreaded ceiling man. His eyes go nuts, and you gotta respect it. The concept of a television audience sincerely rooting for celebrities to get richer is very funny to me. Plus, the weird guys in this are simply "icing on the cake." Without checking to see that I’m right: I think this is the first time they use the Johnny Depp guy, who recurs several times in the Abso Lutely universe (including a very memorable Nathing For You episode).
Then, what luck, the return of Pierre! This is a PSA called “All the Food is Poison”, which features a chorus of young cheerleaders. At one point they stage a cutesy tableau where one of the lines is acted out as if she is sharing this information anecdotaly and not through verse. This is another GREAT one. The part where the girls all look more and more troubled by the song is so great. I love stuff like this. It’s art.
We get a second Gettin’ it Dunn featuring known nuisance David Liebe Hart as a guest. He makes a truly unhinged comment about alien women’s pussies. Then they make him apologize on camera for it. I love this too!!!
Then we get a Brule bit, where he tells us to use fruit juice to make ice cubes and then put “THAT in your milk”. These Brules Rules are more hit-and-miss than I remember, but this is fine! It’s a funny idea. Putting ice cubes in milk! What a fool! The first time I saw this I cracked up when Brule calls the viewer a “bimbo”. I like that he doesn’t know what some words mean!
Tim’s Discount Prices and Eric’s Premium Prices is really funny. Tim and Eric are businessmen and pitchmen to boot, and are dueling via commercial over whose business “fits the bill” and puts “money in the bank”. They are selling prices themselves, and have slightly different mission statements. This one has some funny lines and truly rude riffs. Tim saying Eric will “Rape ya!” is pretty nasty by today’s standards, but I think of it often, for some reason.
The only truly weak link here for me is another installment of “Afternoon Review” (The daytime show for women), which the joke is just that it’s footage of weird men being weird, and demonstrating talents that would not be appreciated by women. It’s whatever, but it’s one of those bits that has the “season three stank” all over it.
The host segments here are ones for the ages; in fact it has been made heckin’ immortal in the memosphere (the animated gif of Eric going “bwaaaaugh!!!!” while animated big bangs ripple out of his forehead, mimicking the hand movements he’s also making). This one is pretty funny and charming. Tim’s material is more absurd, he just yammers nonsense. He gets flustered describing the shape of the universe and just leaves it at “it’s not a bowl.” Eric’s material usually veers into sexual matters, because the guy is a horny freaking devil. This sketch also makes use of footage of Kaz trying to open a door with a sword, taken from a deleted season three sketch.
Eric describes bonding with his neighbor’s son against his father’s consent by swirling a flashlight around against his wall through the window late at night in what could easily be perceived as a flirtatious gesture. “I do this every night with your son”, Eric boasts. One of my favorite endings.
There is more Universe stuff in the EXTENDED SCENES of the DVD. Or, you can watch it right here on youtube.

dont publish this but i am not doing the funny man of tumblr bit, you got an anklebiter with different jaws than mine
Sorry, you can't use such wonderful turns of phrase as "anklebiter with different jaws than mine" and expect me not to print it. As a compromise I'll just put it in a font that's a little harder to read.
Xaviers Maneuver mafia guy is not Chinese but Chi-talian-ese. Thank you
Lucky for you, I am willing to sit my ass down and listen. I appreciate the correction.

Hello everybody!
My names Rory, and I’m back on tumblr for the bajillionth time and rebranding for the bajillionth time (seriously why did I ever leave in the first place, I love yall)
Anyways… here’s my whole spiel about who I am, what I do, etc.
Tumblr media
^^^ where I post from lolz. Anyways, here are the basic stats
Name/what y’all can call me - Rory, Cyber Rory, idk anything else just not any of my old names if you know them
Age - 19
God what else do you put in these OH OMG
Pronouns - irl they/them, online they/it (and ask about neos if interested)
Sexuality/gender identity - i identify as bisexual, abrosexual, and gender-fluid (please do not use he/him or she/her even if I say I feel more masculine/feminine, they/them is always preferred)
What’s my deal - I’m an artist! Previously I never really posted my own stuff, but now I want to start doing that. Obviously I’ll still repost things I like, but it’s not gonna be my whole page lolz. I started taking my art more seriously since I switched my major from marine bio to a double major in art and psych (physics and chem are too hard) I’m currently not in school (I had to withdraw during the middle of my first semester due to mental health issues, but I’m going back this fall! So excited!!)
What kind of art? - glad you asked. Im really into Frutiger aero and cybercore at the moment, so that’s what I usually base my art around, but I really don’t have one set style/“aesthetic” in my art. I go in between Frutiger aero, cybercore, y2k, scene, mizuiro, and basically anything else that I can sneak the color blue in
Tumblr media
Other fun things about me
Music I’m into - I don’t mean to be one of those “oh I’m into everything” kind of people, as it’s not fully true, but it’s true like 90% of the time. My favorite genres right now are metal core, emo, whatever Ayesha erotica, millionaires, and slayyyter are, and ambient instrumentals (more specifically cybercore ambience and the little big planet soundtrack) I will not listen to most country, and pop music is very hit or miss, but other than that I usually like everything else. Specific bands I’m into include bad omens, mcr, motionless in white, spiritbox, and pierce the veil
Shows/Animes I’m into - hot take but I really don’t like to watch tv *gasp* I know I know, but it’s so hard for me to start new shows and keep watching them, especially if episodes are longer than 20-30 mins. Even with anime I have a hard time watching shows that I wasn’t into over a year ago. I’m really into JJK, Haikyuu, Yuri on Ice (rip), the aquatope on white sands, and tbhk
Other things I’m into - just gonna dump them all here lolz. Blues clues, Winnie the Pooh, stuffed animals (NOT squishmallows, hot take sorry) deltarune/undertale, sally face, Fran bow, project sekai (forgot to put vocaloid in music lolz), and the ds and Wii era Nintendo
Tumblr media
ALMOST DONE
I’ll be setting up either a card or a link tree hopefully soon, but I’m also on TikTok (regretfully) and instagram, both are @/cyber.rory13 if y’all are interested. Eventually I hope to open up commissions and/or a sticker and print shop, but for now I’m waiting til I have more traction on my socials as shops cost money, and I’ve been unemployed since October (starting work in may tho!) so I don’t want to make that investment quite yet. Commissions however, I’m open to the idea of them, so if you are interested feel free to message me and we can talk about details there (they will have to be digital or traditional transferred to digital). And finally, the moment like one of y’all has been waiting for, some of my actual art!
Digital
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Traditional
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Anyways, I hope you all enjoy, my page is a safe place and feel free to reblog really engage anyway if you’d like to be mutuals! Slay queen!!

Frank Frazetta
Tumblr media
Frank frazetta of of the pioneers of modern fantasy art, began his career in the dwindling days of the pulp magazine.
He is self taught but would take drawing classes at the Brooklyn Academy of Art at just eight years old.
He would publish the work he created in the publishing company tally-ho Comics at the age of  sixteen.
He would draw popular comic strip for  Li’l Abner,  while also working on other comic book titles in 1952.
After the end of the Golden age of Illustration in the 1920s, many number of artists  would continue working for the next few decades. Such as J. Allen St. John, as illustrator of Edgar Rice Burroughs’s Tarzan and John Carter series, which influenced the next generation of artists which includes Frank Frazetta and many other well known artist. And the focus for many of these artist were fantasy illustrations- in print (paperback book covers, magazines), film posters, animation, role-playing games, and, eventually, video games.
Frazetta's illustration of Ringo Starr for Mad magazine in 1964 brought attention to Frazetta’s work, and movie studios hired him to paint film posters. However, his 1966 cover of the book Conan the Adventurer propelled Frazetta to stardom. In 1969, Frazetta painted the memorable cover of the debut issue of Vampirella. His striking paintings of Conan, Tarzan, and John Carter of Mars altered the way readers viewed the characters and influenced other artists and film directors, including George Lucas, who visited Frazetta’s studio in 1978.
n 1983, animator and film director Ralph Bakshi, famous for his work on the animated features Fritz the Cat (1972), Wizards (1977), and The Lord of the Rings (1978), invited Frank Frazetta to collaborate with him on the film Fire and Ice (1983). At the time, Frazetta was hugely popular for his paintings of Conan the Barbarian, John Carter, and other fantasy figures, as well as the iconic Death Dealer, which he painted in 1973. An added bonus for Bakshi was that Frazetta had previously worked in the film industry, creating promotional material for the movies What’s New Pussycat? (1965), Mad Monster Party? (1967), and Clint Eastwood’s The Gauntlet (1977).
akshi intended the film to be an animated version of a Frazetta painting. To help replicate the artist’s signature style, Fire and Ice was designed using the rotoscope process  created by Max and Dave Fleischer. This involved filming an actor’s movement, such as a dance or a sword fight, and tracing the figure from the motion picture film onto animation sheets, using input from Frazetta. The result was a more accurate animated rendering of the actor’s movement than could be achieved by drawing from model sheets. In the early years of their careers, illustrators James Gurney and Thomas Kinkade worked as background artists on the film.
Frazetta continued working through the next two decades, often revisting some of his classic works such as Death Dealer. His legacy continues through the Frazetta Art Museum, which is located on Frazetta's estate in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, and overseen by Frank Frazetta, Jr., and in the licensing of his images and massive social media presence maintained by daughter Holly and granddaughter, Sara, through their company Frazetta Girls.

'Tween AZCAF & WaifuExpo
Hi!
As promised, a quick update between my aforementioned too many conventions.
Becca and I spent this weekend at the Arizona Comic Book Arts Festival in Phoenix and had a wonderful time! If you came out and saw us, thank you! It was so great to meet so many fans of all ages, as well as some really amazing pros who I otherwise just knew on the internet! And, of course, it was awesome getting to see old friends and family.
Strangest bit: We had to drive through snow to get there! Not active snow, but snow in the mountains nonetheless.
Right now, I'm writing this quickly while working on helping Becca get more stuff printed for their next show, WaifuExpo, which is March 1st-3rd! As you can probably imagine, we're busy busy busy over here with back to back shows.
See you again next week-ish after we return!
What I enjoyed this week: Blank Check (Podcast), Honkai Impact (Video game), seeing snow (I mean, the circumstances could certainly be better than unseasonal and just plain wrong weather, but it was kinda nice), AZCAF, people who like comics, M3GAN (it was so slay), Perfect Match (Trash TV), Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo (Anime), crane games (even when I lose), ice cream, gas under $4, the $2 bill, petting four different cats and a chinchilla, doing a con with friends (thanks for being rad, Elizabeth & Danny, and remember their Kickstarter still has 9 days), Adriano Zumbo
New Releases this week (3/1/2023): Sonic the Hedgehog #58 (Editor)
Pic of the Week: A pic Becca got of the snow out our window while we were driving to AZ, as well as a couple cute pics of them with our booths at AZCAF!

And extra Becca promo!

Discipline Electives Exploration Week 1
Stencil Screen Printing w/ Fiona
Coming to the end of my week in the stencil screen printing workshop, I just thought I would show my work all together and discuss a few of my ideas behind what I did and why I did it.
On the first day, we learned the basics of screen printing, how to take care of the equipment and a few techniques on how to get a ice clean print. One of my goals this semester is to keep things simple, this workshop and Fiona definitely got me off to a good start.
On the second day, we learned how to properly line up our prints to layer them with other stencils to create some depth in our prints. I worked on creating a different stencil that would be more forgiving when working with layering, and created a colour blend.
On Wednesday, we had no follow up workshop so I worked on secondary research.
Then today, Thursday, I made two stencils. One stand alone typography one and then one to layer on top of the blended one.
Tumblr media
The first print, in the pink, is representative of the animals on the carousel, the representation of the living things that people ride on. I thought these were the images that first interested me so I started with those. I chose the pink ink because of its vibrancy. In researching Philip Huntington, I wanted to use some of the vibrant colour he uses in his work in mine. Also, I just love pink!
The second set of prints I did, at the bottom, is the top of the carousel done in a really simple shape with a blend of orange and yellow. The yellow on the top represents the sun shining down upon the carousel as it moves. I then worked on the top layer, the red, to create more depth. I had a bleed with these prints but it was definitely a happy accident as I love how they look.
The last print, in the green, is printed on to hand made paper I sourced from an art shop ages ago that I hadn't used. It was harder to print as the ink didn't grab on to it as much. The green ink I used was inspired by a print the artist I researched this week used in a screen print of his, although I wanted mine to be more fluorescent.
Myself and Fiona discussed how separate pieces, when presented together, can tell a story. I think it's definitely open to interpretation, though I wanted to show the very first concept I took from the carousel.
The circular movements of the carousel and how it reflects the repetitiveness of everyday life.
I absolutely adored this workshop and can't wait to incorporate print into my work.

yesterday one of my coworkers came to the back and called me out to help a customer because she wanted recommendations but, to him, all the series she was referencing he had never heard of.
so as it turns out she was an old school weeb, like, attended the first sak weeb, like, was really into fushigi yuugi and og tenchi muyo weeb. which is somewhat before my time, personally, but my (ex) coworker is of a similar age bracket so i’m at least passingly familiar with that sort of thing. anyway she was nostalgic for the old shoujo art styles which… is a lot more difficult a criterion than you would expect (especially given that most 90s titles are out of print)
our conversation and what i recommended her and what she decided on is not that important, i just wanted everyone to know that the reason she decided she wanted to get back into collecting manga is because. “you remember gaiaonline?” she asks me. so apparently she’s been in a lit rp group on the gaia forums that continues to this day and she’s… tired of spending money on art commissions of her rp characters and having nothing physical to show so she’d rather have something tangible. like manga.
other highlights include when she complained about her husband watching too many trashy isekai and that the only one she’d been interested recently is, of all things, fucking skeleton knight (girl your standards… raise them), and that when her husband tried to discuss various different gundam anime with her, she said there’s only one gundam for her—Is It Wing, i ask. yes thank you she says. (yeah of course its fucking wing uh huh fucking clocked.)
also when she said she was okay with BL bc shes watched …. (hesitant and embarrassed attempt at pronouncing) mdsz. and then later when she looked at a GL title i said yeah that ones cute and abt x, i dont read much yuri tho—and she said the only yuri she could think of was yuri on ice (and was 100% serious abt that being yuri wherein i had to explain to her the difference between BL and GL… and she was super embarrassed bc a decade ago she would have known that lmfao)

The ice-skating rink at City Hall has gone up, and with that, winter has officially started in Philadelphia. With the holiday buying frenzy fast approaching, I wanted to highlight a few of the many local markets happening throughout Philly’s chilly months in an effort to encourage everyone with the means to think about buying as locally as possible this season. Whether you’re in need of a thoughtful gift for a loved one, an ingredient for a special meal, or simply a dose of some holiday cheer, ditching the big, brand-name stores for even one of those occasions can make an impact by putting money into your local community and connecting with its members. Check out these four events offering everything (and more!) you could possibly need to satisfy your shopping fix this season.
Bartram’s Garden’s Handmade Holidays
Bartram’s Garden, 5400 Lindbergh Boulevard
December 3rd, 2022
12pm-5pm
For an afternoon of free, wintery fun in one of Philly’s most beautiful and spacious public parks, make sure to check out Bartram’s Garden’s Handmade Holidays event on Saturday, December 3rd, 2022. From 12-5, the park will be full of cheer, offering winter garden tours, crafting and wreath-making workshops, and an array of local makers vending holiday-themed goods. There will also be a campfire and refreshments for the enjoyment of all attendees! This event is especially great for families and kids, but community members of all ages are more than welcome.
NKCDC Holiday Market
Kreate Hub, Frankford Avenue & Somerset Street
December 3rd, 2022
11am-3pm
The New Kensington Community Development Corporation is once again hosting its lively holiday market and block party on the afternoon of Saturday, December 3rd. The West Craft Fest returns to West Philly this year at a new location, making it easier for any marketgoer to find the perfect present by offering more variety than ever before. For two full days, over 130 artists and makers will gather at UPenn’s Rotunda to sell an assortment of artisan gifts including handmade knits, art prints, natural bath and body products, and much, much more. Vendors vary from day to day, so make sure to check out the unique offerings for both Saturday and Sunday’s festivities.
Holiday Farm Party and Greens Sale

On Sunday, December 4th, the farm at Awbury Arboretum is hosting a party, complete with farm animal visits, holiday music from the Philadelphia Blues Society, campfires, crafts, and refreshments. The farm will also have their famous holiday wreaths and greenery for sale alongside other vendors offering additional food, drinks, gifts, and other goods. hey char, mind to share your fave stevebucky headcanons? 👀
Oh I LOVE that you asked me this :’)  Thank you!
I honestly have so many if I really think about it because I love them so much and I think about their dynamic so much that I have so many favorite things... but here is what I think of off the top of my head:
• Steve was color blind before the serum, according to canon. I have a headcanon that Bucky used to try to describe colors to him. I wrote a mini fic about that here.
• Bucky was drafted for the war, but didn’t tell Steve. Steve sort of assumed that Bucky enlisted, and Bucky never wanted to correct him. How could he? Steve wanted to enlist so badly, and Bucky didn’t ever feel like he could admit that he didn’t have the same drive to want to ~fight for the country~ like Steve did. He didn’t want to disappoint him and he was afraid Steve would think he was a coward. So Bucky just... never told him that he was forced into war. It was never his choice to fight for the country. If it was up to him, they would’ve stayed home together and stayed safe and never fought at all.
• They were always physically rough with each other, in the sense that they'd wrestle as boys all the time, and Steve loved that Bucky never treated him as fragile. Buck knew he could take it. Even after the serum, they'd still scuffle a bit like kids, finding a bright spot in a war-torn world. They’d be awake in the trenches on lookout, having soft conversations in the night, and shoving each other after one says something stupid or makes a bad joke.
• Steve is bi, and Bucky is gay. Bucky was consciously aware of his feelings for Steve way, way before Steve was aware of his for Bucky. In the 30s, Bucky has a bit of a reputation for ~dating around,~ but not in a rude ladies’ man kind of way but rather his reputation is “Bucky Barnes is a real charmer. He’ll show you a good time and he’s really sweet, but he never pushes your boundaries.” Some women wishes he’d push their boundaries, but he doesn’t. He’s taken so many women out on dates because he never lets it get super serious, since they’re not who he wants and it’s mostly for appearances’ sake, especially since he and Steve live together. He definitely enjoys hanging out with women, and treating them nice, but most of the time his motivation is to try to set up double dates–half because Steve deserves to find a great girl to date, and half because a double date means Bucky can selfishly do a date activity “with” Steve and not have it mean anything. Meanwhile though, Steve gets jealous as hell and testy about Bucky dating all the time, but he’s oblivious to the fact that it’s because Steve wishes Bucky would be with him instead.
• Their first kiss was when Steve was 16 and Bucky was 17. I’m not necessarily saying that’s when they actually got together, but something significant happened between them at those ages... maybe they kissed because they were drunk, or it was so Steve’s “first kiss” would be someone he knew and it was for “practice.” And then they both never talked about it again, because they’re idiots and were afraid to ~ruin things~ between each other. That’s why Steve says “Rumlow said ‘Bucky’ and all of a sudden I was a 16-year-old kid again, in Brooklyn.” That’s why “seventeen” is one of Bucky’s trigger words as the Winter Soldier. It checks out, because Bucky is a little bit older than Steve.
• Steve doesn’t fully admit the depth of his own feelings for Bucky to himself until he finds out Bucky’s been captured by HYDRA. And then he tears Europe apart to get him back. He’d have done that anyway, obviously, but... the prospect of losing Bucky forever is really what makes him realize how much he can’t handle that concept. Because he’s in love with him.
• After Bucky “dies,” Steve gets more reckless, and that’s part of the reason he put the plane in the ice and didn’t try to survive: he didn’t want to live in a world without Bucky in it. This is supported by canon. And so I headcanon that, after Steve finds out about the Winter Soldier, one day he abruptly realizes that he could’ve died in that plane crash and never known Bucky was alive and brainwashed and suffering. He thought Bucky was dead and he wanted to follow him, and he could’ve left Bucky even more alone in the world without knowing it. When Steve realizes how close he came to leaving Bucky behind like that, he throws up. It horrifies him to think about it.
• They each have a pair of dog tags where one says “Steve Rogers” and one says “Bucky Barnes.” They swapped one tag each, so that they’d have a matching set, because while they couldn’t list each other as “next of kin,” they wanted tangible evidence that would show other people how important they are to each other. So people would know: tell him if something happens to me.
• Their Brooklyn accents come out / get heavier around each other, especially if they’re bitching about things or arguing.
• Bucky is a complete sci-fi and fantasy nerd–which is now confirmed canon, and I love it. In particular, I like to headcanon that he loves to read paperback sci-fi novels, and discount romance novels. He unironically enjoys them, and he leaves them allllll over the place. One of the things they love to do is Bucky will sit around and read while Steve will sit around and draw/paint, and half the time Steve gets distracted sketching Bucky’s facial expression he makes while he’s reading.
• Bucky is also a pop culture gremlin. He will try and often get interested in pretty much anything and everything, without rhyme or reason. In modern day, he and Nat will watch trashy reality TV together–sometimes to make fun of it, sometimes to get invested. Steve thinks they’re insane for that. And sometimes Bucky will like one niche thing but then for very specific reasons he dislikes another similar thing. It makes sense to him, even if Steve doesn’t get it.
• Steve tends to be pickier with the kind of stuff he enjoys. He’s always had Strong Opinions™️ on everything, including and especially art. Put him in a museum and he’ll have a lot of thoughts on all of it. He doesn’t judge things or hate on other people for liking things he doesn’t like at all, but he won’t get hooked on a movie/show quite as easily. The one exception is animation, which he absolutely adores, and he goes on a wild binge of all kinds of animated content for awhile–shows and movies–because the various art styles and uses of the medium to tell crazy stories just fascinates him.
• Easy access to so much music is one of their mutual favorite things about the 21st century. Bucky often gets into individual artists’ entire discographies and becomes a fan, whereas Steve often gets into a handful of specific songs from a wide range of various people. Like... Bucky will often love an entire album, and Steve will often love 2 songs specifically more than others. But even with that, Steve loves collecting vinyl records–both old and new ones.
• Bucky has a fantastic singing voice even though he’s shy about it, and he tends to hum along to music when distracted or working on something else–especially while making something in the kitchen.
• Bucky likes technology more than Steve; Steve likes physical stuff more than Bucky. Bucky loves to take photos and videos of things all the time, hoarding digital memories in a way that’s precious to him, knowing that they’re “safe” and accessible anywhere. They lost so much of the objects that they loved a century ago, and photos were scarce, but now... there are endless ways to have pictures. When Bucky was recovering in Wakanda and Steve was on the run, Bucky would often text Steve photos–sometimes without captions–to wordlessly share bits of his days with him. He’s got a good eye for photography, except for when he takes the photo equivalent of shitposts to make Steve laugh. Regardless, Steve gets his favorites printed–some of Bucky’s photos, some of his, some of their selfies–so they also always have something tangible to hold onto.
• Bucky calls Steve “sweetheart” sometimes, just to be a little shit–and he means it. It makes Steve turn red every time, without fail, but he secretly doesn’t mind it.
Okay I’ll stop hahaha. Those are the main ones that come to mind for me all the time when I think of them!
Thank you again for asking :D  This was so fun to write all in one place!

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
the lovely @honeyviesims sent me all the emojis for arjun in a headcanon post that was going around a while ago. i figured i would attach my answers to this photo dump! i’m sorry i’m so slow at these LMAO
this was a really fun character development exercise 😋 i hope you like finding out more about him! and if not just enjoy the pictures 💗
☾ - sleep headcanon
arjun sleeps shirtless or naked, and snores loudly. he’s one of those human radiators who are always warm. :3
★ - sad headcanon
he would talk to a close friend, partner, or therapist about his feelings if they were available. he might eat his feelings, or listen to sad music and go for a walk/jog. he would let himself cry. he’s a big softie.
☆ - happy headcanon
arjun is a happy-go-lucky kinda guy, so having a cheerful disposition is part of his normal personality ☀️ he’s always smiling and cracking jokes, especially around friends.
☠ - angry/violent headcanon
i think it would take a lot to make him furious. he would be the type to not sweat the small stuff, or he would initiate a calm conversation if something was really bothering him. he’s patient and good-natured. being physically violent towards any object or person just isn’t him! i think the most he would do is raise his voice and pace around. i could see him being more stubborn and quick-to-anger with his family since they’d know how to push his buttons.
✿ - Sex headcanon
he has a high libido and is definitely a pleaser. he would have no problem being loud and vocal. i can see him being the adventurous type... but only with the right person!!!
■ -  Bedroom/house/living quarters headcanon
i can see him having a modest apartment that’s always slightly messy in a cozy, homey way. he would have a fully stocked kitchen because the man loves eating and cooking for himself and loved ones. (hence the camo print apron.) i can see him having a tv and video game console he plays on the weekends and after work. he would watch sports games and movies on it too. his bookshelves would be filled with books on exercise, nutrition, and self-improvement. he definitely has some yoga mats, weights, kettlebells, and other miscellaneous home workout equipment tucked away somewhere. he would love to have a home gym one day.
♡ - romantic headcanon
he’s definitely not interested in hookups or friends-with-benefits type relationships. he’s a hopeless romantic at heart. he’s the kind of person who would only date or get into a relationship with someone if he saw serious, long-term potential with them. like, getting a pet together, marriage, kids, the whole nine yards. anything less just isn’t worth it to him.
♥ - family headcanon
he grew up with a big, warm, and loving family. he has a few sisters he is close to. arjun is a family-oriented guy for sure.
☮ - friendship headcanon
he is a good listener. the type of friend who will give honest advice but in a gentle and considerate way. he always looks out for his friends. when making plans, he’s not fussy about the activity or place, what matters to him is getting to spend time with the other people and having fun. he would definitely be the designated driver on a night out.
♦ - quirks/hobbies headcanon
hobbies: i think i covered these in the other prompts :3 bodybuilding is his main hobby. see: the stringer and short shorts.
quirks: he’s a bit of a slob. he loves spicy food. he sings in the shower and will unapologetically belt out songs off-key at karaoke. he blushes when he’s embarrassed. he tends to get loud when he’s excited.
☯ - likes/dislikes headcanon
he likes people who are genuine and down-to-earth. he likes most kinds of physical exercise, whether it’s indoors or outdoors. he likes leading a healthy and active lifestyle. he likes a glass of ice-cold beer. he likes animals and kids. he likes delicious food and he’ll indulge in junk food every once in a while.
he dislikes gossip, interpersonal conflicts, and people who look down on others. he prefers to avoid conflict whenever possible. he dislikes excessive materialism. he’s not a fan of the cold weather. he doesn’t “get” abstract art and films. he’s an innately good person and strongly dislikes immoral and/or selfish choices and actions.
▼ - childhood headcanon
he’s an extrovert because he grew up in a loud and lively household. he was always surrounded by his sisters, parents, and extended family members. they weren’t wealthy, but they were always comfortable. his childhood was a bit sheltered, but very loving and happy.
∇ -. old age/aging headcanon
in arjun’s ideal world, he’d eventually settle down with a partner, move into a bigger house (with a pool and home gym), have kids and/or pets, and grow old surrounded by family. he would probably age gracefully because he’s so passionate about health. he’ll definitely be traveling, staying active, and throwing frequent dinner parties well into his 60s and 70s. 🥳
♒ - cooking/food headcanon
at a certain point in his bodybuilding journey, he got bored of making chicken breast, kale, and rice for every meal, and picked up a cookbook. he enjoys savoury food, but either made with a healthy twist, or prepared with ingredients that align with his fitness goals. he is strongly against fad diets. he’ll pig out on junk food once in a while. you’ll never catch him eating a salad. he’s a big guy with a fast metabolism and a huge appetite.
☼ - appearance headcanon
hehe i think the pics i’ve posted are pretty self-explanatory. he’s very hairy, so he’s always sporting stubble or a full beard. he knows how to groom and dress himself because of his sisters’ advice and relentless teasing. he doesn’t have tattoos but is open to getting one in the future. in the game, all my sims are the same height for simplicity’s sake, but as a character he’s definitely tall. he’s a fan of athletic clothes, relaxed jeans, and keeps his outfits simple. he prefers comfort over style.
ൠ - random headcanon
i made arjun and connor around the same time. i imagined the 2 of them were both personal trainers at the same gym. they were basically polar opposites. connor was the quiet, slightly anti-social one, and arjun was the warm and energetic one. connor is younger and less experienced, so eventually arjun would’ve extended a hand and been like hey kid, you’re new to this, let me help you with your customer service skills so you can get and retain more clients. lol random gym HC  💪😎

📚 BOOKS - how were they at school? what is their best subject? what is their worst subject? do they have a favourite subject? + 🍧 SHAVED ICE - do they still have any objects from their childhood? what significance does it have to them? what would their reaction be if they lost it?
✨ @antigoddex. meme. still accepting!
📚 BOOKS - how were they at school? what is their best subject? what is their worst subject? do they have a favourite subject?
virote graduated midland boarding school as valedictorian with a 4.8gpa at the age of 16. he has no weak subjects, he pretty much blasted through every course he takes. he might be a little lacking in math and actually has to dedicate brainpower to it, but he's still what you'd consider, thru and thru, a genius. midland's a quirky school... you its in los olivios, california and you live in cabins on acres of ranch land. here's a little snippet from their source:
The School is located on 2,860 acres ( 12 km² ) of largely undeveloped ranchland characteristic of central California’s coastal hill country. Students live in cabins, which are heated by small woodstoves. ( For students’ safety, their cabins have sprinklers. ) Students chop wood to make fires to heat their shower water. Some 25 percent of Midland’s electricity needs are met with grid-tied, student-installed solar arrays. While the library is wired with high-speed internet connections, several campus buildings were constructed decades ago by students and faculty. Cell phones are not allowed on campus.
“ Midland School is first and foremost a rigorous college preparatory boarding school. While we value experiential education as an integral part of our approach, we are not a shop school, trade school, or an adventure school. The fundamental rigor of Midland’s curriculum isn’t watered down with trips or projects that don’t put learning at their core.”
Experiential Saturdays -
Midland’s emphasis on experiential learning extends into our weekend programming. Every Saturday, Midland students have a 3-hour block dedicated to exploring the passions of our community. These workshops broaden the academic horizon by introducing students to activities such as knot-tying mathematics, trail restoration, marine ecosystem exploration, cattle-herding, screen printing, and more.
An integral part of Midland’s philosophy is self-reliance, and students and faculty perform much of the work that goes into maintaining the school. All students have daily jobs that help maintain the school – carpenters, cooks, classroom cleaners, plumbers, librarians, etc. In addition to daily jobs, faculty and students gather on Sunday mornings to hear a senior give a talk on a subject of personal interest. The community breaks into small work crews for 2–3 hours. These crews might clean the assembly / dining hall, venture into the hills to gather firewood, harvest vegetables in the garden, brush down the horses or muck the corral.
so overall, he didn’t have a typical high school experience. even for a private school, his experience was incredibly unique. his favorite courses were: cultural anthropology, writing and a sense of place, ecological field research, trail restoration, representational drawing, foundations of visual art, beginning ceramics, english, anime club which he was president of lolll. as a university student getting his DFA, he’s not even sure. he just kind of does his work, is very good and efficient at it, makes super high marks, and doesn’t think too hard on it.
🍧 SHAVED ICE - do they still have any objects from their childhood? what significance does it have to them? what would their reaction be if they lost it?
virote doesn’t really like thinking about his own childhood... mental illness, feeling neglected by his mother, etc etc. the only thing he ever kept from his childhood is all of the art. the filled sketchbooks, nubs of his first coloring pencils, all of his paint splatters on tiny canvases. he looks at them, he just sees a younger version of himself that’s struggling. he wants to hug that kid and let them know it gets a little better. it’ll take a long time and recovery won’t be a straight path, but it’ll get better. he’d be a little sad if he lost it, but it wouldn’t devastate him.
